"Best hotel stay ever!!"

We travel a lot and the amazing staff here have been the kindest, most helpful people we have ever delt with. They have truly gone out of their way with genuine concern for your happiness. From the start Kyle took my reservation over the phone.( I always call the actual front desk to make my reservation). Kyle made me feel like I was a VIP customer. When we arrived, Allan was so kind and you could tell he loved his job and was a great people person. I had some changes after the first night and had spoken to Allan about it at checkin. I was very impressed when Sandi had everything ready when I walked up this morning. She was very sweet and also smiling with sincerity. Even the ladies that prepare the breakfast and clean the rooms have happy, smiling faces and go out of their way to say hello. This is so rare. You can tell that Kyle is a very caring and positive hotel manager because of the wonderful attitude that his employees show. In today's world y'all are definitely AMAZING!!! Thank y'all for making our first trip to Colorado a great memory!!

Great staff has been friendly and helpful every day. Was very clean. Nice variety free breakfast and then evening snacks in lobby area. No issues. We will look specifically to stay here on our next trip to Denver.

I was scheduled to stay at a different hotel. I stayed there one night and switched to the Aurora Best Western Plus. I am so glad that I did. The room was clean, quiet, nice, and had the amenities I needed. The breakfast was good. What made the breakfast great was the attention paid by Yesenia and her team. They could not have been more gracious and helpful. I will certainly stay here again when I am in Denver. Thank you Yesenia!

"Trip to Colorado."

We were on a family trip to Colorado. We decided to stay at Aurora and visit Denver to see the mint. Also, we made a day trip to Golden, CO to visit the Coors Brewery. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The room was clean and we were pleased with the breakfast selection at the hotel.

"Very nice place to stay"

Very courteous staff at check in and out, clean, comfortable room, plenty of space, spacious bathroom, everything worked right (including the shower head which is rare in motels to get one that actually works), nice breakfast, wifi was reliable. Carpet in the stairways was showing its age, but everything else was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. We'd certainly stay here again. Pricey, but that's to be expected in Denver.

"Disappointed"

My wife and I went to Denver for a concert at Mile High Stadium. I had some reward cards to use at a Best Western. I checked price and availability for several places. Most hotels in the downtown area only offer valet parking, not my cup of tea besides the $30 extra charge. This BW Plus didn't look too far away, in a decent area and the price listed wasn't too far out of line. I booked a room for 2 nights. I didn't pay much attention when booking knowing it would be $300 plus for both nights. When I arrived, a little tricky to get to with the access roads but still no problem. The outside looked nice, parking was usual. The guy behind the counter was helpful. I told him I was using reward cards, he said no problem and entered them in the system. This took a few minutes but was not a problem. When he told me the balance going on my card and to initial for the room rate, I realized the 1st night was about $50 more for the night. The price on the computer was the weekend rate for Saturday night and Friday night was higher. After parking and going in the back door and to the elevator, I noticed it was an older motel. The elevator made a shaking- dragging noise going up and down. After getting into the room, it was clean but looked like it had been remodeled a time or two. There was not anything major wrong, everything functioned as needed But was not Plus quality to me. I have stayed at some BW Pluses that were nice, some were that real nice. This was functioning, not nice. After checking out, i checked my bank statement (payed with debit card). I had a pending charge for my part plus a pending charge for the reward cards also. BW should have a better way of verifying their own reward cards. I replied to a BW survey with this basically same review. The manager apologized for not meeting expectations and said he would make sure the charges would be straightened out. 3 days later they were corrected. I payed a little over $100 a night for a Homewood suite the night before, over $400 for 2 nights there and a little over $600 for 3 nights near Vail in a Sheraton resort. This was no comparison of the first or last stays of our trip for the price.

Hello mt8963, I'm sorry to hear that your expectations were not exceeded. Our hotel was built in 2001 and was most recently renovated in 2015. We are planning a remodel of our breakfast room and public space this fall. This is pretty typical as most hotels will go through renovation cycles about every 5 years. This is to try and keep up with all of the new hotels that are coming into the market place. Having said all of that, the week that you were here, there were several concerts, national nursing convention and a national softball tournament that draws over 900 teams to area every year. When there are this many events going on at the same time, hotels fill up fast and charge rates based on demand. There were literally no rooms left anywhere in the Northern Front range. Everything from Cheyenne to Pueblo was booked solid. I can remember sending folks south of Pueblo, or to Casper, WY to try and find a place to stay. Furthermore, because of this, I can share with you that I also noticed properties such as "Choice" hotels that were charging over $1000 and "Marriott" for $1800. While I agree this is ridiculous, it would indicate why you paid more to stay with us for that week, than perhaps you might have been charged staying at other hotels in different areas. It's all based on demand and I can assure you we are a very very busy hotel because of our location and all of the travelers coming to the Denver, metro area. As far as the billing issue you encountered.... the "pending" charges that you saw on your credit card were not charges. These are temporary authorizations that we held in case you had any charges to your room for snacks, long distance phone calls etc. Those funds are held during your stay and are released back to you when you depart. It usually takes banks a day or two for the temporary holds to be available to you... I hope this helps clarify a few things and again, I'm sorry that you were disappointed. Take care. "Feels old and tired "

We are a BW rewards member and needed to stop for the night and this seemed nice online. The property is old and outdated. The mattresses should be replaced immediately as the squeak and are tired! The beds were wrinkled and pillows seemed over used and tired. Bathroom fan very loud. The air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Wish we would have looked elsewhere for the price we paid .

Our hotel was remodeled in 2015 and all of the furniture including the beds were replaced back then. We have had some instances where the bed frames squeak from time to time, but a quick zap of lubricant will make the noise stop. "This Hotel saved me from a disaster."

I had originally booked a hotel in Montbello closer to my grandmothers house. Our hotel was horrible, it was dirty and that staff was so rude. Immediately we started looking for a new place to stay. Just by chance I found a unbeatable deal at the Best Western. I called to see exactly when I could check in and the FD agent Sandi was so awesome. She informed me that they didn't have any rooms available just that second but she would call me as soon as they got a room for me and she did. Then the check in process was flawless Aminah informed us of all of the amenities, activities and restaurants close by. It was quick and informative. My stay here has been amazing.

"Extremely clean, 15 minutes to Anshutz medical campus"

Traveled to nearby medical center for surgery, was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel picked out of the blue to have spotlessly clean rooms and had plenty of towels and amenities. Newer and slightly larger rooms face the freeway, a bit older but still nice rooms basically face the back of a nearby Walmart so are more quiet. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. A hotel by a freeway isn't ever going to be a resort, but it's clear that the owners and staff here care about customer experience. Will stay here again.

Our owners are what make the difference. Their office is here at the hotel and they have been the only owners since opening in 2001 They are amazing people and that's why we have so little turnover. Checked into our room. Found it had a funky smell. Front desk gave us another room no problem. Great business center. Used to print our boarding passes. Room and bathroom were very clean. Shower had plenty of hot water.

I came into this location to get suggestions for the Aurora area and Sandi was the most pleasant and patient hotel clerk I have met in a long time. She went above and beyond to helping me book my hotel room at Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms and this is something she didn't even have to do! I highly recommend coming here. This hotel has a lot of features and is nicely located for a very reasonable price. Staff were excellent and very friendly. The breakfast was fresh and hot all day, with fruit and other snacks out during the day. You will do yourself well by staying here.

"wonderful place to stay"

We have stayed there several times and each time has been great. The rooms are clean, the employees are accommodating, and the housekeeping staff work hard to please the guest. They always try to meet our room request. Alexander and Aminah are the 3-11 staff and do an amazing job and also Maria and her partner on third floor housekeeping . Great people taking care of great guest.

Very Clean and helpful staff, great breakfast selection, quite location. Location is great to shopping and freeways. Room was large and had many helpful items to make the trip so pleasant. Walk in shower, microwave, iron, hangers in the closet. Nice to not hear the room above me.

"Very Nice Place to Stay"

My husband and I, unfortunately, came into town for a memorial service. When I called to ask if we could check in early so that we could change clothes after our drive and before the service, I was informed the hotel was fully booked and it wouldn't be possible. I say this not to express my disappointment but to say that, despite a fully booked hotel, we had a VERY peaceful and quiet stay. ALEXANDER was very welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. The happy hour manager's reception was a very nice surprise. The hot tub was fantastically hot and bubbly. The pool was refreshingly cool. There were tons of kids using and enjoying the pool. The only drawback was that the hours were a bit limited. Breakfast was decent and although definitely not cooked on site, served its purpose of filling us up and the staff serving breakfast were SO NICE. The internet was speedy and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The refrigerator in the room was helpful and was actually cold. The location was great for our purposes and I loved that I could walk to a nearby fabric store.

"Nice for the price"

Elevator was scary. Room wasn't cleaned properly. Tub didn't drain. On the plus side, bed was comfy, view was nice, breakfast was awesome. Hotel employees kind and welcoming. Funny because I had read about a sock left on the floor by another review and there was a single dirty sock on our floor! Would stay again.

I am a little surprised to hear that you read another review with a similar experience, as I cannot recall this ever being an issue. Most of our clean team has been with us well over 10 years and they are very meticulous. We give them 30 minutes to clean rooms (most hotel it's around 20 minutes). We deep clean our rooms at least every 3 months (Scrub walls, light fixtures, bed frames etc.) We also inspect every room upon departure after every stay. I will certainly address this with our clean team as I can assure you offering safe, clean comfortable rooms is our top priority. I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Very nice and quiet friendly workers. I have stayed here for over a month for work. Anything I needed from places to go after work, restaurants, was recommended. My company has used this hotel for all workers since they have moved to Colorado area.

"Tried for a repeat visit"

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. Today I called to book a number of rooms for my family. Both the 'supervisor' and 'manager' were rude and condescending. I asked for best rate, neither asked if I was a member of AAA or other organizations where they extend discounts. The rates they quoted were almost $50/night over the Best Western Website. In a very snotty tone, the manager said if I could book a better rate somewhere else, I should do so. These people don't want your business. They are quoting their rooms at higher rates than the top tier hotels like Marriott or Hilton. Based on my stays, given they mushy floors, they are at best a low second tier facility. With the bad attitude of the current staff AVOID

Hello Scott. I am sorry we were not able to accommodate your needs for your group coming to town in May. I recall, you had stated that you had a number of rooms (4), and that we should think about if we wanted your business, then give you a call. I stated that we did not need to "think about it" and call you back...I merely quoted you the rates that are available at the hotel and online... They are in fact the same. As the General Manager I set the rates, and can assure you we do not offer rooms in May for $80... to anyone. After you stated that this was way to high and you could get a better rate at Marriott, I suggested that you go ahead and book with them. That is all. Furthermore, after searching through our records, I cannot find any record of you ever being a guest here. Very friendly and attentive staff. Clean rooms and tasty breakfast every morning. This property is close to family, but gives me the privacy I like to have when traveling. The spa and swimming pool were a great addition to my stay and the pool area was neat and clean. the pool and spa appeared to be well maintained, although the spa timer wasn't working on this visit. The spa worked great temperature for and aching back, but like I said the timer didn't shut the spa off which is a handy feature if you're only looking to stay in for 15-30 minutes.

"Best western Gateway"

Chose this because I always use Best Western and this was newly remodeled. The beds were soft and jacuzzi and tv didn't work. Highway noise was a problem. Couldn't shower or get in tub due to high sides of Jacuzzi and lack of grab bars. Breakfast was nice and so was staff and other parts were nicest it could have been great but was disappointing.

You were given a free upgrade to a suite because of your participation in our rewards program. However those rooms do not have grab bars in the bathrooms. We do have approx 15 rooms that are equipped with grab bars, and we would have been happy to make those accommodations for you. I am also not sure what you mean about the jetted tub not working, nor the TV? We have double checked and I can assure you that all of our jetted tubs and TV's are working correctly. The room was clean and comfortable and the services were good. I booked the room for the week for business and was quoted a price for the week. upon checking out at the end of the week, the clerk had to be woke from his nap and he sent me a receipt by email for $70.00 more then I was quoted for my stay. When I called him from the airport to go over the over charge he act like there was nothing he could do and had no answer for me for the over charge. He just wanted to push the problem back to the booking agent and yet they are not the ones that over charged me so why should they be the ones to have to fix the problem?

"Hotel has gone downhill since our last stay"

This hotel has Direct TV, but there are not many channels (there used to be a lot). The exhaust fan was very noisy and the tub faucet was loose and would fall on its own, making the water very hot. I reported the faucet and fan and they were not repaired. We've stayed at this hotel for three years and it is no where near the quality it once was.

Hello Robert, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that your most recent stay was less than great. I have reviewed our maintenance log and I did not see any reports of a loose faucet. I am not sure what happened, but my guess is that whoever took your report did not pass the message along to our maintenance team so it could be repaired. I apologize that it was not repaired when you reported it. Our Maintenance team will do preventative maintenance on 3 guest rooms a day, this way they get to all of the rooms at least once every 6 weeks. I have asked them to make sure they inspect and clean all fans to make sure they are functioning properly and as quiet as possible. As far as the TV's go, We had only 55 channels until about 6 months ago when we purchased a new Direct TV DRE system. We now have almost 200 channels all in HD. I can assure you that we have a lot more to offer for programming then we have ever had in the past. "Bright spot"

If I judged by service, friendliness and attitude of the staff this hotel is a 5 star, but I don't. The bed and bright highway lights shining into room 309 is not a good thing. The breakfast was very plentiful and had many choices but the eggs are not good. So, the staff gets a 5 star and the facility is lucky to receive a 3. The elevator is sketchy and the staff told us a part was ordered to fix it but I still took the stairs when possible.

All of our rooms have blackout curtains, so I am not sure how lights from the parking lot were able to leak into your room? I have gone and checked and the blackout curtains in room 309 seem to be just fine. Our eggs are scrambled and a little butter flavoring is added as well. Perhaps this is why you didn't care for them? Most folks like our eggs, and are even happier when they can make their own custom breakfast burrito using them and all of the toppings that we offer. The Elevator is scheduled to have new rollers installed sometime in the next couple of weeks, but we have been assured is perfectly safe by the inspector. Had to be in Aurora for doctor appointment. Best Western had the best deal and great accommodations. Rooms were clean and had daily house keeping. Good breakfast selection with the complimentary breakfast. The food was hot and fresh. My kids loved the indoor pool.

"Functional and friendly but a bit tired"

Free parking which is always a good start, followed by a friendly welcome. Check-in was efficient, hassle free and quick. There was a lift to all floors. Room 301 was a large double Queen room which had plenty of room despite the two beds. Besides the normal furniture the room had a; safe, hair drier, iron and ironing board, all in the wardrobe area which was a rail behind a curtain, large flat screen TV, ice bucket, fridge, microwave and coffee maker and the coffee wasn't bad. The view from the window wasn't that inspiring but ok. For someone with a replacement hip the step-in, step-out low bath was a real bonus. The over bath shower had good pressure. The Queen bed was comfortable as were the pillows. I love a cool room, so having air conditioning was great. Having a couple of the sports channels on the TV would have been good but other than that, the TV was ok too. There was a small pool, which was a touch on the cool side but fine once you got in plus a hot-tub which was great, there was also a small but functional gym with cross-trainer, treadmill and bike. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel but there is a Manager's Reception Monday to Thursday with some great local beers, wine and snacks, there is also a vending area for drinks and snacks outside of these times, as well as a rack of sweets next to Reception where water is also available, at all times, for $1 a bottle. You are given details of nearby restaurants, all of which offer a discount when you show them your key card. At least 3 are less than 10 minutes walk; the Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant which was good, reasonably priced with friendly staff, though take care not to over order as the portions are very generous (I over ordered - loved it but stuffed!), Fazoli's, a fast food pizza pasta place, which I walked into and walked back out of because I wanted to eat in a 'real' restaurant and went to the Bua, serving traditional Thai cuisine which was also good, reasonably priced with friendly staff. Don't worry about the spice, they will cook to your taste from heat level 1 to 10. However, if you want to fend for yourself and use the microwave there is a Wallmart directly behind the hotel. I had an issue with the TV but the guy on Reception came up to the room and sorted it really quickly. He, like all the other members of staff, were really friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. Drinks; milk normal and flavoured, 2 x fruit juices, coffee, teas and water. Hot food - every day; scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, tortillas, potatoes and either bacon (American style bacon is always too well cooked for my tastes) or sausage (burger style) alternating, plus there was always; fruit, various breads, muffins, yogurt etc, all of which was pretty good. The only slight criticism I have was that the fixtures and fittings seemed a bit tired and a little dated, though all were fully functional and fit for purpose. Overall, friendly and helpful staff that made it a pleasure to stay.

This Best Western is centrally located with restaurants and shopping close by. What really makes this place great is the staff. Combine that with a good breakfast, Mgr. happy hour and comfortable room and you have a winner.

When visiting family in Aurora, I checked into the Best Western Plus Gateway. A friendly employee greeted me with a smile, a warm cookie, a travel bag for being a BW cardholder and a room key. The room was clean and updated with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. I woke up refreshed after a comfortable night's sleep and enjoyed breakfast in my room. I look forward to spending future visits at this Best Western Plus.

"BW Becoming My Fav!!!!"

Stayed on 1/17/18 Truck parking (at Sam's Club, right next door, not a long walk.) 100% non-smoking, Room was nice!! Very comfortable bed! Very spacious room! Mid -fridge, in-room safe, microwave, coffee maker. Good water pressure in the shower with a good supply of soaps and shampoos. DIRECTV with a good selection of channels. Alexander at the front desk was very nice and very informative! He checked us in in a speedy but not rushed manner. He answered all our questions and had a very positive attitude. Apparently he REALLY likes his job! They also had ...and another reason BW is becoming my fav, a free pretty full breakfast. Do they have everything and do cooked to order? No. But they do have a great selection that when "MacGyvered" and mixed with other things, you're going to be full when you leave. Most of the ones I have been to have... Pre-made cheese omelets ...despite my description wording they're pretty good. Bacon, Sausage, Sausage Gravy, Potatoes. Cereal, Bagels, Muffins, Biscuits, Yogurts, and juices. Cream cheese, butter and all the fixin's. Depending on the location you either get waffles or pancakes if I remember correctly. Keep this up BW!!!! I'm heading back out on the road tomorrow and you can bet I'll be looking for BW and BW Plus locations a long the way!!

Elevator seems old and rattles but it got us up and down safely. Nice place to relax in hot tub, and swim in the cold refreshing pool. Nice breakfast with bacon egg and potatoes. Room was ok no fitted sheets but clean and comfortable.

Traveled to aurora on short notice. Rooms were affordable and clean. I was worried about the quality of the room I would receive on such a tight budget. But everyone was very helpful. Especially Rich Sherman at the front desk I had to extend my stay more than once and he made the whole process easier than I could imagine. He made sure I knew what my rate was and what check out policies were so there were no question policies left unanswered. Thanks rich. You took my stay from good to great. Will be back for any lodging needs while in aurora.

This place was awesome, the staff was exceptional. Helpful, comfort, quiet and welcoming. Terrific choice for staying in the Aurora area. There was some noise from inconsiderate guests checking in late, but that happens. Some people are just that way, no respect for others. But, the rooms comfort, food and hospitality were impeccable. The hotel was very family friendly indoor pool and exercise room. Clean and convenient place. Nice place to enjoy, friendly staff and get away. Some stores and restaurants are within walking distances. There's a rail system nearby will provide services to downtown and the airport. But only downside is no direct shuttle to the hotel. All is good!

This hotel is located near Aurora and offers great rates. There breakfast is awesome and very filling. You can choose from a hot breakfast or just have cereal, fruit, etc. The rooms are nicely furnished and accommodate your needs. I would recommend this hotel for a couple or families.

We booked a room at this Inn on a trip to see family in CO. After a long day's travel, the BW was a welcome respite.They have excellent staff, pleasant lobby, snacks and a hot tub. We enjoyed a good night's sleep in comfort, warmth and safety. We highly recommend this Inn

"Great hotel"

We stayed for one night. Friendly, helpful employees. Dog friendly. The only thing I would add is a place to eat dinner in the hotel . Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms and hotel were clean. Nice, quiet place to stay.

"Great Hotel-Kinda smokey"

We stayed here many times for week long stays while our child was at the hospital. Great value for a hotel. The food was always good, the rooms were always clean, the pool was always warm. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. It's right around the corner from stores and restaurants and is just off the freeway, but is still quiet. We've stayed there literally months and I can't recall a single time highway noise was a problem for us. It takes me about ten minutes to drive from Children's hospital from the hotel. The only bummer is that the last few times we've stayed there, our rooms have stunk to high heaven of smoke. When we asked to be moved, management was just shuffling ozone machines through the smokey rooms for the next guest as their way to mitigate the smoke smell. :(

We are glad to know that you have enjoyed your stay's and found our location convient to the Children's hospital and everything else nearby. I'm sorry to hear that you have experienced a "smoky" smell the last couple of times that you stayed here. While we are a 100% non-smoking hotel, people still do sometimes smoke in our rooms. Even when we try and discourage them by charging them a $200 cleaning fee, some people don't care. It's unbelievable! They will just pay the additional fee. Although it's not common, it does happen We have found that using a de-ionizer is by far the best way to eliminate odors. Usually after about an hour of being de-ionized, the room is odor free. However, it's certainly not perfect and occasionally we will have to repeat the process. As a result we sometimes find that we don't detect any odor until the next day, and in many cases our hotel is full so we have no other alternative but to get that room clean and ready as it has already been reserved. It's not a perfect process. But we do try to do everything in our power to make sure ALL of our guests are in safe, clean, comfortable rooms. I used to stay near the aiport until I stumbled up this Best Western. It is still convenient to DEN and I-70 and a good value. I stay here when visiting family. Besides being comfortable, friendly and providing a light breakfast, there is shopping and restaurants nearby. I've had extended stays twice and will keep returning.

"Excellent hotel with terrible wifi"

The review title says it all. This is a clean, comfortable hotel offering excellent value for money. It should be a five-star choice. But having a "high-speed internet" system that is not only slow, but mostly offline, is simply inexcusable in this day and age. Also, the safe did not work. Turns out they turn it off to save the battery, but no one told me and there was no sign to explain. So minus one star.

This hotel is conveniently located near Denver's airport and maintains the highest quality of customer service. The indoor pool is spacious and the hot tub is magnificent. Shopping centers, restaurants, and movie theaters are nearby. Denver Tech Center, Greenwood Village, and Downtown are less than a half hour away. The people are very friendly and helpful.

Sold my home and checked in for 3 nights ended up staying 2 weeks. Everything was perfect. I didnt have to cook or clean for my family and was able to swim, work out , meet my fellow neighbors. Pleased with the cost and quality of the room we had. When we first arrived and got off of the elevator, we noticed a strong odor of cigarette smoke. We told Richard at the front desk and he promised to do his best to find where it was coming from since this is a smoke free facility. When we came back from dinner that evening, the smell was gone and we had no other issues at all. Great place to stay!

Hotel seems smaller than most but clean and comfortable. Rooms are in good shape and the beds are quite comfortable!! Shower is a bit weak but has lots of very hot water! Elevator is terribly slow but gets you there!

Great place not too far from airport to stay when visiting Colorado. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Close to Costco and Sams if you are wanting to pickup groceries for the week. Excellent breakfast options. Newly remodeled rooms.

Reviews were good on the internet so decided to stay. Check in was easy and Richard was nice and efficient. Room was clean and large. We were on second floor and you could hear people in the lobby. Very noisy room. Towels were small, rough and thin. Water pressure was terrible. Bed was comfortable and so was furniture. Breakfast was similar to other hotels. The happy hour was a nice surprise.

We use the exact same size (and weight) towels as all other major hotel brands including Hampton, Fairfield, Hyatt etc. This is also the first time I have ever heard a complaint about water pressure in our showers. I have asked around to see if there was an issue in your particular room, and I have not heard any negative feedback about any rooms not having good water pressure, so I am a little confused. As far as noisy neighbors are concerned, we would have been happy to help address that issue while you were here. That is one thing we can certainly control. The rooms were clean and orderly. Breakfast was decent. Staff was beyond reasonably kind.My manager and I stayed here for two weeks... no complaints. I met the owner of the property, the on-site manager and so many other Best Westerners. They all were very helpful. Sandi at the front desk exemplified great customer service.

This location was an Excellent Choice. Whether for leisure, recreation, business, or family medical at the University of Colorado, Denver this location has alot to offer. Indoor pool, lovely lobby for relaxing, spacious rooms, efficient housekeeping staff, excellent customer service, sumptuous breakfast daily. Shopping & dining can be located in any direction. I was absolutely thrilled with my stay at this hotel. My wife and I chose this hotel because it was close to a friend we were visiting. I had my reservations thinking it was not going to be very nice but gave in to my wife because of proximity and price. Well, color me embarrassed! The hotel was clean and bright, the staff was always a pleasure to deal with. The breakfast was hot and ready at 6:30am, cereals, bread/bagels/english muffins, Waffle station, eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, etc. A nice pool (a little chilly) but my son didn't mind. our room was beautiful and the A/C was wonderful. i could not recommend this hotel more! we actually had a 3 day reservation at another hotel in Denver (Much more expensive but will not name names) from Friday - Sunday and we cancelled our Sunday reservation so we could go back to the Best Western and it was the best decision ever! This will be the place we stay if we go back to the Aurora area.

I could not recommend a hotel any more then this one! We booked through Expedia (who screwed up our dates) and the employees helped fix the issue without any hassle. The hotel breakfast was always hot and fresh. The rooms were very tidy and clean. Also you can't beat the free WiFi! The staff, especially Sandy and Alex, we're helpful, kind, and made us feel welcomed. Would definitely stay again!!!

Very nice hotel, is close to the Aurora Mall and many restaurants. I think the price is the best you will ever find on this area. The personal is nice and polite and the best thing is that this facility is pet friendly.

Right off the highway and close to Denver and aurora. The staff was very friendly and kind and able to assist in getting the best deal. The room was very neat and clean and maintained. It is more of luxury hotel if you going doing the on season of which doesn't end until the last week of October when the rates start to go down, but it is centrally located and good for a night after driving through six states to get there.

We stayed here during a family visit to Aurora. When we arrived, there were free snacks (pizza, pretzels/nuts) and drinks (free beer!) in the lobby which were welcome after a long day! Apparently they do this during the week for a couple of hours each evening (I think Monday through Thursday). There was an issue with the cable not working in our room (they made a recent change and the one in our room wasn't hooked up yet). Staff was at our door within minutes with the key to a new larger room! The breakfast buffet was included in the price making this an excellent value. There was a wide variety to choose from including hot food (Biscuits and gravy, eggs, make your own waffle, bacon) and the usual cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels/toast. The breakfast room staff were very attentive and the room was kept clean and food offering refreshed regularly. I wish they would put a tip jar out for them, they worked very hard and did a great job! (We did slip them a tip but a jar would encourage other's to do so.) Our room and the common areas were all clean and updated. The lobby was very nice. There were bottles of water for sale at the counter for $1 which I appreciated as I was dealing with altitude sickness/dehydration. The room amenities (Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Lotion) were Pantene brand which was nice. The soap was typical hotel style which I'm never a fan of so I wish I had brought my own. They also provided make-up removal towelettes which was a nice extra. There is a coffee maker, fridge and microwave in each room. It's a great location for getting what you need during a trip and it's convenient to Denver. It's near several stores including a Walmart right around the corner and also many restaurants and take-out places (Sonic). This is the second Best Western we've stayed at in the last couple of years and we will definitely seek them out in the future as they are an excellent value.

"Don't try to check in early at this hotel!"

I can't honestly rate the room because I never made it past the front desk. I had reservations for two nights for a pet friendly room. I arrived an hour early because I had forgotten about an hour time difference. I tried to check in at 1:30 and was told repeatedly that check in time was 3:00 pm. No offer to wait in the lobby, just told they would call my phone when I was allowed to check in. Since I had a pet with me, I couldn't go out to eat or go walk around the mall or anything to kill time. But it was very easy to find another hotel that had a room available with immediate check in. So for the staffer that liked to repeat the mantra, "Check in is not guaranteed to 3:00", I believe she could use some customer service training.

We do try our best to get folks checked in as early as possible when we have rooms available. Our hotel has been fully occupied almost every day, so it is hard to determine if we can get people checked in early. I know that we usually get about 5 or 6 early check in requests every day that we are usually able to accommodate, once the previous occupant has checked out (11am) and we have had time to clean the room. We will generally put folks on a waiting list (first come first serve basis) for early check in and will call those folks once we have a room available. We cannot guarantee early check in's as we do not know when people will be leaving, and in many cases, folks decide to extend their stay for another night. We guarantee rooms to be available for check in at 3pm, but cannot always honor requests for earlier check in. I hope this clarify's why we were not able to check you in early. Aurora is wonderful location between the airport and Denver. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in close proximity to the hotel. We got in on a good deal for the room through the TA site. The front desk help was very friendly and quickly found another room for us when the one they first offered smelled like cigarette smoke. Evidently the previous patron had smoked quite a bit in the room. The rooms are basic bedding and decor, but clean and had both a 'fridge and microwave. Full breakfast is offered each morning and there is an indoor pool. There is only one elevator but we never had to wait long to catch it coming or going. Had to call about the Internet once, but it was fixed pretty quickly. We didn't bring pets, but the hotel is pet friendly. We would stay here again when visiting Denver.

Was traveling for a dog show, room was spacious, clean and easy access for me to get the dogs in and outside. Great area to walk the dogs, breakfast was very good, the pool was warm without being hot, and the fitness center is well equipped.

We spent one night here and our stay was very nice. The property looks to be well maintained and clean. We stayed in a king room, and the room was very large. The room was clean when we checked in. The room and hotel were quiet. If we had a neighbor, we did not hear them through the wall. The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was good sized, and the shower good. The pool and hot tub was nice. Besides the usual hotel breakfast items, they have a "make your own burrito". When traveling for a couple of weeks, it was very nice to get something different and we enjoyed the burrito. I definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay here again if in the area.

This hotel was very clean, and the air conditioner was not working and they had it fixed for us. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and clean. Breakfast was very good. The beds were very confortable. The hotel was close to stores and places to eat. It was also very close to several highways so it was easy to the airport and around Denver.

Terrific hotel with terrific staff. Alexander Keller was amazing. Very efficient, kind to this weary traveler and very helpful in getting everything we needed for our stay. The rooms were comfortable all though I hate the small pillows that I seem to find everywhere.

We were very impressed with the hotel staff, the cleanliness of the room, the friendly staff, the location, the breakfast options. a very pleasant stay. We would definitely use this hotel if/when returning to Denver and highly recommend this place to others.

"Nice location!"

The hotel was located in a nice part of Aurora and easy to get onto the highway. There are lots of shopping areas and restaurants located by this hotel. It is approx 13 miles from the airport and about 20 minutes from downtown Denver. The beds are comfy and the rooms are up to date with decor and bedding. However, our toilet barely flushed. They do serve complimentary breakfast every morning which included: eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, bagels and waffles. They do have a smaller indoor pool as well. I would stay again.

"Had snacks and drinks in reception area"

Very clean, quit close to resturant and shopping center and starbucks , I would of like if breakfast would serve till later time I only got to go once. Always had drinks and snaks in reception, In the morning they prepared a snack bag to take with you which was a nice thing I never had that experience before in another hotel.

Beautiful room as soon as we walked in we were happy to see how clean and nice everything was. Great employees answered all of our questions and we had a lot of questions. Easy access to the rooms. Free parking. Free breakfast. Free WiFi. All the important things!

Great hotel, great staff, nice amenities.Located close to Denver, Cherry Creek State Park, and a short ride to beautiful Boulder. The breakfast was scrumptous, and more importantly, freshened it seemed every few minutes or so. I liked the complementary Colorado, beer, and snacks in the evening, as well as the always refreshing ice lemon water and iced tea available in the lobby.

"Never will I stay here again "

Upon check in I was advised by front desk that elevator was broken. I advised them I just had surgery and can't go up and down stairs. The front desk manager stated that the repairman was on site and I shouldn't have to go up and down that many times. I asked if there was any available rooms on first floor and was told only handicapped accessible. I again stated I had knee surgery and that this was my third surgery in 9 months. Manager told me they had one room on second floor and lucky for me because otherwise would have been on 3rd floor. Room was filthy, tv didn't work and wifi kept going in and out. After speaking to corporate office, I was told their policy states I should have been given handicapped accessible room. The GM called me and said room was clean, wifi worked and that the front desk never said they had handicapped accessible rooms. Basically he said I was lying. I specifically asked "do you have any rooms on the first floor" the desk person stated "only handicapped accessible rooms". I have filed a complaint and I will never stay at any BW again.

Hello Robyn, I was contacted by Best Western Hotels regarding your recent stay at our hotel. I have read the file and was disappointed to learn that your stay was not a pleasant one. I have discussed this with Richard (Front Desk Supervisor) and learned that the main issue was the elevator being out of service. Unfortunately, sometimes things do break down, even though we have regular monthly maintenance performed on our elevator. I can certainly understand how frustrating this must have been for you, especially after having knee surgery. It's unfortunate that this happened, but I believe that it was not necessarily something we could have prevented or controlled. I was also informed that the elevator issue was resolved rather quickly and you were able to use it. As far as the other issues you had mentioned.... we have checked the guest room and the TV is working perfectly, as well as the Wi-Fi. So I am not sure what the issue was that you encountered? The staff at the hotel was great, we arrived early and they did their beat to get us checked in early. We hadn't had lunch so they recommended a few restaurants that we could receive a discount at The room was very nice and they do have complimentary breakfast, along with water and iced tea.

Great facility with clean rooms, good food and friendly staff. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Close to a mall for easy access for shopping.The man who checked us in was helpful with ideas for where to dine and where the kids would enjoy activities. The one who checked us out was not friendly, was abrupt and no "Thank you."

Well below the standard of most Best Westerns. Room smelled of smoke. Pool/spa closes at 9pm, seems a bit early. Internet was awful, when I called to complain they told me I had to call the service provide...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! You think I want to spend my vacation on the phone with someone providing a service to your hotel. Breakfast was very good but don't expect to find a seat.

With our Wi-Fi, we contract with a 3rd party to monitor our system and they have the capability to remotely find your device through the network and assist with getting you connected. Generally speaking our staff can help folks get connected, but they do not have the capability to help trouble shoot if there is a serious issue. That is why you were advised to contact the support service directly. Our pool closes at 9pm, because we have guest rooms located directly above the pool area and we want to make sure that it's nice and quiet for those folks occupying those rooms. While we are 100% non-smoking hotel, sometimes folks can track odors in from the outside if they go outside to smoke. That being said, your room should have been deodorized prior to your arrival. I have addressed this with our clean team and will make sure that all of our rooms are odor free. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Again, I apologize that your stay was a less than stellar one, and I appreciate you letting us know about your experience. Richard was extremely helpful with directions on how to get to the hotel and check in. Central to University Hospital. Breakfast was good and a nice variety of things to choose from. I would stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location is good for access to the airport. Alexander Keller went the second mile to help me in the business center last Friday. We were able to get our boarding passes printed and that made our early morning check in at the airport go well.

New beds, pillows, linens, towels, washcloths, duvets are needed! New toilet seat! We were here three years ago and it was very nice. What happened? The location is great. Easy on and off access. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

Next door neighbor with children and a dog. Staff tried to address it after speaking with me but it always came back and was never offered another room to remove me from the situation. I feel I didn't get a reasonable value for the money spent and really just feel cheated.

Overall, this hotel is probably OK, but we just had several annoying occurrences happen during our 3 nights. The worst were excessively squeaky beds, a dog that barked late as owners left him alone, people with heavy feet above, stale Danish in the am, and night ants around the bathroom. Very disappointed in the value for what we paid for 3 night ($455) for what we got in return!

Hello James, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you and your wife did not have a stellar experience while staying at our hotel. We appreciate you bringing the issue of the barking dog to our attention, while you were here. As you are aware, we did talk to the owners of the dog and they were able to keep the noise down. I believe we also offered to move you rooms, but you refused... As far as finding ants and squeeky beds, I am not sure what happened there. I certainly believe you! We have done a thorough inspection of the guest room you occupied on the third floor as well as the rooms adjacent and found no evidence of any insects at all. We did find that one of the beds was squeeking on the lower end of the bed frame. Metal was rubbing on metal and causing the noise. We have since repaired the bed frame. I have discussed the issue about stale Danish with my breakfast team and they have assured me that we only put out fresh danish each morning. Any products that go unused are not served again. We donate them to a local shelter instead. With all of that being said, mistakes do sometimes happen and we appreciate you letting us know about the issues you encountered. Went only for one night and it was good. It was a little expensive but maybe the reason was the time of the year (August). The room was comfortable, there was free coffee and lemonade at the lobby, and late afternoon there were little pizza slices and other goodies. I think is great that you can get discounts at the restaurants around and there are lots of shops and malls near. Also liked the fact that isn't too far from Denver's airport and way cheaper than hotels at that area. Definitely coming back if I go to Denver again.

"Doesn't get any better than this!"

This was a wonderful place to stay. The front desk staff, evening and morning, couldn't have been nicer, or more helpful. The place was beautiful, very nice snacks and drinks were offered in the lobby in the evening and it was close to lots of restaurants as well as the Denver airport. Would stay here again and recommend it to others in a heartbeat. It was great - overall probably the best BW we stayed in over our 10 day trip (all BW stays)

"Standard Best Western quality, a bit pricey with nitpicks"

A good place to stay for a night on the road. Comfortable bed, easy to use bathroom, responsive service. Deskclerk also gave us coupon for 10% off at nearby restaurants. But we discovered its price was above that of nearby equivalent places. Ice machine was on a hard to find and use floor. Breakfast was free and standard quality but with no water dispenser.

I can certainly understand that hotel and rental car prices in the Denver area are a lot higher right now, than probably what you are used to. Colorado is having another record year for the number of folks that are coming to visit. Denver and Aurora specifically have not been able to keep up with all of the demand, even though around 50 more hotels are currently under construction. July is also the busiest month for tourism as there are so many sports tournaments and events happening all at the same time. I think if you look around, you'll find that our hotel is still priced far less than other similar hotels in the area. Most of them are starting at $250-$350.... "Nice room but pricey."

Room was nice and clean but expensive (we paid $172+). Service could be improved. Breakfast was average. The breakast area is small and although there was an attendant they didn't seem to do anything but stand there. Location was good for the business we were doing.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this establishment this past week. Our room was clean, quiet, and roomy. The complimentary breakfast served was delicious and there were a variety of appetizing options - they even made a concerted effort to restock in-demand items. The pool was clean, and heated! The staff was friendly and helpful. One gentleman in particular gave us a great dinner recommendation and the menu for a local pizza place that delivers to the hotel. We would definitely return!

"Dirty, stinky room"

I was not aware that this was a pet-friendly hotel until I arrived to check in. The guest ahead of me in line was trying to source an air freshener because her room smelled like a wet dog. My room also had a bad odor, and there was a piece of beef jerky on the floor. Dog food? Regardless, the room did not smell clean or look clean. Yuck!!! I reported the problem to the front desk staff but all other rooms were occupied. We endured it and were glad to check out the next morning. Best Western should fully disclosing the fact that filthy animals roam the halls and rooms of so that guests can make more informed decisions.

Hello SimpleBlessings, I'm sorry you were not aware that we are a pet friendly hotel. All hotels (Best Westerns, Marriott's, Hilton's etc) are all independently owned and operated, so every hotel is different. Some allow pets, some do not. We allow pets in a select number of our rooms so that way folks that have pets, have a place to stay. We also keep a number of rooms that we do not allow pets in, so folks that are sensitive to pets are not affected. "Premium price for the basics"

My Mom and I spent one night here while my sister was having surgery in a Denver hospital. The price was too high in my opinion for a chain hotel of this quality, but I have nothing else to complain about. The staff was professional when we checked in. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The best part of the experience was that our room was very quiet, which I appreciated immensely!!

We were disappointed that the price waS so high for return customers for the weekend prior to a holiday. Double the price we usually pay. We're the groups that were there paying $200 per night? Doubtful. We were given over 55 price at another best western in another town the day prior to our arrival on aurora however we're denied this discount at the aurora site. We're advised it was because we used a discount service to reserve the rooms. We used the same service for the other BW but discount was honored.

All Best Western Hotels are independently owned and operated and pricing is based on demand of each market. The Annual Triple Crown Softball tournament brings over 900 teams to the Colorado area, for about a week. It's not just Denver, the tournament is played all over the state including Fort Collins, Denver and Colorado Springs. It's because of this, that all hotels in the area are completely full and pricing goes up. I'm sorry you got caught up in the highest demand period during the entire year. I would suggest that when you are reserving hotel rooms in any area, that you call the hotel and ask if their are any special events going on. We'd be happy to let you know when a more economical time to visit might be. I hope this helps clarify why you were charged more for this visit. "Absolutely DISSAPPOINTED!!"

I know what I can usually expect from a Best Western Plus and I was appalled from the moment I stepped into this hotel. No smile, no greeting, nothing but a very rude and either new or stupid night audit gentleman there making check-in both irritating and long. I did not catch his name but he was a young man, blonde with a pony tail, kind of tall. I couldn't believe the bull I had to put up with. He didn't know what he was doing or he is just a terrible liar. Then on top of his AWFUL attitude he gave no information. He didn't mention breakfast, pool hours, he didn't even tell me where in the hotel my room was!!!!! So FRIGGIN FRUSTRATING... ANYWAYS. The room was okay, what you would expect from a standard queen, but then they CHARGED my card when I was using my points!! I understand an authorization HOLD!! NOT a CHARGE!! PLUS they tried to charge me because THEY comped another mans room. THAT IS ON YOU AND YOUR HOTEL!! Overall I would NEVER stay at this hotel again, I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy their night whether it's business or pleasure. I would NOT waste the money on this hotel.

Hello kendalheinzen, I am sorry you were frustrated with our night auditor. I am very much aware of your frustration as this particular situation was equally as frustrating for us. I have spoken with our night auditor and the guests that were disturbed because of the noise coming from your room. I was advised that you were warned several times to keep the noise to a minimum, and as a result we did comp the guests in the adjacent room for the night. I believe this is the actual source of your frustration and why it might have been perceived that you were given "attitude" from our night auditor. All guests are given an information sheet upon check-in that has all of the information about the hotel including a map, breakfast hours etc. I have reviewed the security camera footage and it shows that you were given this information when you checked in, so I am a little confused about your comments that you were not given the info. "Pleasant 1 night stay"

While traveling via car cross-country we stopped here for 1 night. The room was extremely spacious, spotless, and we had a good nights sleep. It's located near restaurants, shopping, etc. and it is easy to get on and off Interstates. We stopped to eat prior to check in but had we waited we would have picked one of the restaurants that gives a discount for showing your BW room key-we didn't know. Our only negative was the slow internet.

"Convenient location and clean"

The hotel was fine and the room was clean but a little outdated and worn. Breakfast was adequate and basically what every other hotel that offers breakfast has although the breakfast area was very small. The location, just off 225, was very convenient to Denver and other areas. Front desk and other staff were very friendly. My only complaint was that as a Best Western Rewards member I wasn't recognized at check-in nor was my request for a quiet room honored (although someone I was traveling with who is not a member did get a quiet room). I was on the first floor, in the hallway with the pool and fitness center. To top it off, the room was right next to an external door where people were coming and going all day and night letting the door slam. In addition to that guests were standing and sitting right outside my window smoking at all hours (very creepy - I had to keep my heavy curtains closed at all times). The wi-fi was extremely poor as well - it took forever to get connected - just slow. Walls are very thin too - let's just say the guest in the room above mine had a very long and loud urine stream!

Clean place to stay. The rooms have noisy wall A/C units and it is right next to the freeway. The breakfast isn't good at all, but there is a Mimi's close by. Staff is helpful and friendly. One washer and one dryer for the entire hotel. Housekeeping was 95% reliable. Overpriced for the quality of the hotel.

Our A/C units are the same as every other hotel chain out there and less than 2 years old. We are near a freeway, but not on the freeway. I have never heard a car from the freeway in a guestroom. We usually get great compliments about our breakfast, although it is a buffet style and not cooked to order like Mimi's. Finally, having one washer and dryer for an 82 room hotel has always been more than sufficient. Nothing real fancy about this motel, but it is newer, very reasonably priced, and the room was nice with everything you need. The breakfast selection was wonderfully varied and a great perk. Felt like we more than got our money's worth for a place in a major city.

"Comfortable and friendly Best Western"

Stayed for three nights and chose this hotel as it was conveniently located at Aurora which is an easy drive from the airport and has good parking with cctv monitoring. Located in a spacious commercial area and easy to find there are good local restaurants, cinema complex and Aurora mall close by, The excellent Light Railway station is a 15 minute walk away and provides good value access to Denver Union Station with one change. Ideal if you want to sample the many craft beers available. Thanks to Sandi in reception for the helpful map and advice. The room was very clean and queen beds were comfortable. There was a coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room and a nearby Walmart for supplies The included.breakfast was from a well stocked selection of tasty items and the mainly American guests were very friendly. Wasn,,t too sure about paper plates and plastic cutlery.

We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2017. The staff was really good....especially Alexander at the front desk. He was very helpful. Internet in the rooms is included in the price as well as a breakfast in the morning. Easy access to the freeways and about a 15 minute drive to the airport.Clean and quiet at night.

My family stayed 4 nights at the Best Western in Aurora, Colorado. Everyone there was extremely accommodating. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the rooms were clean and we'll maintained. We were particularly impressed with Richard Sherman at the front desk. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

I don't write reviews at all but I felt the need to say that this place was so nice. The staff really made my trip. I tried to tip the young man at the front for all the help he provided us upon arrival. He told he didn't need my money and to keep it and if I got the chance to stop by here and leave a review. So here I am to say this hotel was wonderful the staff was great especially steven and the lady at check out I believe her name was sandy but I am not sure the breakfast staff was so polite I did not catch any of there names

No problems. This is a well run hotel. We use this one twice a year on our treck to Arizona. Puppy friendly. Clean and comfortable. We have used this location several times and never had a problem, even slow internet at other locations were not a problem here. We were treated to bottled water and cookies on arrival. Always a nice touch for frequent visitors.

The breakfast was not up to par, they need to get some ovens or something in the back, you can easily tell that everything is microwaved not very good at all. The housekeeping staff was amazing they do everything you need and more. The front desk person that checked me in made me feel very welcome while recommending some very good options for dinner. While you are correct that some of our hot food items are pre-cooked and heated up, I can assure you that a lot of items such as the eggs, bacon, sausage etc. are all prepared each morning. I did some spot checking and did find that a couple of items were not as hot as they should be. After discussing this with our team, we realized that we were putting too much water in the Chaffing dishes which can keep the temperature to cool to keep food hot. We have since corrected this. We appreciate having a nice place to stay when on the road with our cats. This hotel has a great pet policy with a fee that is very reasonable. The staff is helpful and polite, and there are some great restaurants in the immediate area.

The staff was amazing! The rooms were extremely comfortable. We expected some noise being right off the highway, but it was so loud we bought earplugs for our second night! If you are expecting a good night sleep, I'd recommend earplugs. We slept fantastic with them.

Every two years, I take a cross country drive. Back in July 2015, I was passing through the Denver area. I hadn't picked a hotel for the night as I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the night in Denver or press on west ... but when I looked on my iPhone, I realized that once I left the metro area, my choices rapidly diminished. By chance, I met a Police Officer from Aurora and asked him for a nice place to stay that would offer me no headaches, yet was accessible to town. He suggested the Best Western Plus Gateway Inn & Suites in Aurora off I-225. So I called and luckily I managed to secure a late reservation. Soon, I arrived to find a very nice hotel ... the front desk clerk was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I ended up staying two nights in order to tour Denver and recharge my mental battery and continue on my way westward. I was left with such a lasting good impression of the hotel that last weekend (April 2017), on yet another cross country excursion, I found myself passing through the Denver area again ... but this time I knew in advance where to stay. And in 2019, if Aurora is on my route, I will stay here again.

The receptionist who checked us in was somewhat rude about the no smoking policy, (I'm not a smoker, BTW) and went on for about 5 minutes about how smoking isn't tolerated and blah blah blah. I told her I wasn't a smoker and understood the policy but she just rolled her eyes like I was lying. I did not appreciate her, but her name tag said, "Front Desk Superwoman" so someone must. (That's not very professional to have a name tag without a name, BTW). The rest of the stay was rather great though. The rooms were very clean, the housekeepers friendly, and the rest of the front desk staff made me smile more than once. The breakfast was delicious, the gym was well put together, and the pool was relaxing.

I can share with you that during your stay, we were expecting a lot of "smokers" for the annual 420 celebration here in Denver. We stress to all guests checking in at that time about our smoke free policy as some folks do not think it applies to Marijuana. Also, because of our proximity to all of the hospitals, we have quite a few folks that stay with us for medical reasons and are very sensitive to such things. I don't think she was trying to single you out, as we were advising all guests checking in. I'm also not aware of anyone that had "front desk superwoman" on their nametag. We do have a Front Desk Supervisor, and her name is in large letters on her nametag.... So I am little confused by that. Hello J4605QWjamesc, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you had a less than stellar stay with us. We checked the room, and did find that the bed frame was squeaking. It was coming from where the frame joins together on the corners. I have since asked our engineering department to use some Teflon lubricant on joints of the frames and that has solved the issue. I have asked them to do this as part of their routine preventative maintenance, so hopefully future guests will not be awakening by a squeaking bed frame. As far as the Air conditioners go, they will cycle themselves off after a period of time to prevent the coils from freezing. This is how they normally operate. We checked the TV and Wi-Fi in your room and they are operating perfectly, so I am not sure what the issue you encountered was? We've stayed here four times now: April 2016, June 2016, November 2016, and April 2017. Every time the rooms have been excellent, clean, and quiet, the customer service has been excellent, and everything has been perfect. This hotel is in a really great location: close to the airport but also close to a lot of restaurants and stores. This trip, there was a little trouble with checking out, but Zach at the front desk was very helpful and friendly and got everything sorted out. Also there was an issue with our fire alarm but maintenance was up to fix it in less than five minutes and was super friendly the whole time! We'll absolutely stay here again in the future. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in!

Everything was great! Stayed 3 days earlier this month - and I have no complaints - front desk and breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is very clean, safe area with restaurants and stores, nice breakfast, fruited water and tea/coffee always available. Beds were nice but a little on the firm side. We had a suite - and it was well worth the extra money for the (pull out) couch area with it's own TV.

The desk clerk, Richard, initially got me confused about our reservation, but we discovered I had made a mistake in booking the room for the wrong dates. He was still able to find us the needed room for the two nights we needed to attend a funeral. Also we were blessed with a very nice warm breakfast hosted by Aslee & Brenda. My husband and I have stayed here twice in the past month. I am having medical procedures done at University Hospital, and I can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating the staff is. The front desk attendant made sure I had a great room close to the front and another one went above and beyond to get a room for a family member close to my room. The breakfast is great and the girls there are fun and attentive. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfy. Highly recommend!

We came in late from our flight, and only had a few hours of rest and off to next flight. The room was beautiful, clean, but the people upstairs were so loud till 2:30-3pm...Then we went down for breakfast and the people there were awesome!!! They served you like a restaurant, and they were very helpful and kept the place clean. I would recommend this place again. IMPRESSED!

This seemed to be the only motel with an indoor pool! The lobby was cozy and decorated for the fall season. The front desk folks were very helpful. They had fruit, coffee and dog treats out all the time. The breakfast was a nice variety and good. The poll was nice, although rather deep for children.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel and would probably stay there again if we were in Aurora. It is a good place to stay unless you have business in downtown Denver or just enjoy having a panic attack with all the traffic. this hotel is off the main high way and in a quiet location with access to the freeway. It is better to take the toll road than to try to find your way any where near, at or in Denver

This hotel room & bathroom were clean and the pool area was also. As it was raining when we arrived in town with two children, a pool was a must & we were allowed to check in early. Check in and checkout were quick with no issues.

Nothing Special compared to other Best Western Hotels. The breakfast area was good and food also. They had Handicap stalls but mostly filled during our stay. It was a little difficult to find. Everything worked properly.

Stayed 4 nights, two rooms. Entire hotel is very clean. Nice touches like water, fruit, cookies, coffee, even Halloween candy sitting out. Comfortable room. Housekeeping friendly, attentive. Breakfast just so so, but that's usually the way hotel breakfasts are in my opinion. Would definitely stay again.

"Barking dogs and musty smell "

Arrived to stay here with the hopes of a quite time. When the door to room was open it smelt like watered down cigarette smoke for peace and quite that was shatter with a room next to barking dogs and screaming kids. What a great surprise to be woke up in night to barking dogs.

Our stay was pleasant in every way. The esthetics and comfort were outstanding. Breakfast very tasty and such a wide variety of choices were offered.. Spent two nights here and found the staff friendly and professional. Very good breakfast in a.m. and pool is conveniently located. Our room was quiet and clean. Especially found front desk responsive and easy to engage in conversation. When breakfast nook is closed, coffee and fruit still available in lobby. We had small children (grandkids with parents in adjacent room) and it was a good experience for them as well. Overall, very good place to stay.

Everything was great! Wish I could've stayed longer. Loved the hot breakfast every morning; scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, juices, coffees, milk, etc. Spent a great deal of my time using their high-speed Internet. Nice pool. Fitness center. Business center. Already looking forward to my next stay.

This hotel is very pet-friendly. We have stayed in this hotel at least 4 times with our cats. We intend to visit again each time we are in the area. Be sure to eat at the Acropolis Greek restaurant nearby.

Hotel was very clean. Service was great. Breakfast was very good nice selections. It was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. We would highly recommend this hotel. We had a noisy family on the 4th floor above us, but hotel did offer to move us to a different room.

Great location. Really accessible from interstate and RTD, but still quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby. This place has great amenities but great staff too! I've been here a couple of times now and will be going back every time I'm in the area on business.

Everything I expected (and more) based off of their website advertising. Staff (especially front desk) was very helpful, friendly, and thoughtful. Room was comfortable and provided space to do some work via their Wifi by means of a decent desk area in room and having an available Business Center (great if you need to print things!).

Chose the Aurora location as we needed to be close to Denver International Airport. Good choice for our needs. Our suite was clean and the bed comfortable. The wi fi worked well. The breakfast was exceptional. There were some restaurants fairly close to hotel if you did not want to drive several miles in the busy traffic. All staff we encountered were helpful and personable.

Spent the night here to be close to our daughter who was giving birth the next am at University Hospital on Colfax. Quick 5 minute drive to welcome in the Twins! Staff was extremely friendly. This is a Pet Friendly hotel which is nice. Room was clean, bedding and towels were clean and soft (very important to me, shows pride). Good internet service. Close to several great restaurants and easy access to I-225, Alameda and Mississippi. Would stay here again.

Only stayed one night for an early morning flight. Room was nice and clean and staff pleasant. Hard to say much more as everything was to a good standard and there was nothing to complain about. Location is good for the airport and the rental car drop-off is only a few miles away.

"Well located to Major routes"

Actually in Aurora. Well located to I-225/25/E470, Walmart, Sam's place, and a dozen decent restaurants. Not too far from Light Rail station with Park and Ride. We used it to get into downtown Denver and it was brilliant. Only $1.30 one way for senior fare, ticket good for 3 hours! Staff professional, curteous, and helpful. Hot breakfast wasn't bad and coffee actually pretty good but cold cereal choices only raisin bran and sugary childs cereal. Bar height table in lobby with device plug ins very convenient. Mon-Thurs afternoon "Welcome" snacks/beverage a nice touch. As a loyalty member got a free upgrade to King suite upon request. Nice big room, living room area w/ bed settee. Nice fridge/coffee/micro set up. Very comfortable bed. Closet and vanity could have been wider, not really enough room for 2 peoples clothes and toiletry bags if staying more than one night.....we stayed 4 and it started to feel cramped. Powerful hairdyer with long cord. Wide luggage bench but by window on opposite side of room from closet, so I moved it closer! One piece bathtub, which I like in hotels.....nowhere for mould to grow. Didn't use pool/hot tub but looked fine. Everywhere clean as a whistle. We were visitng friends in Aurora and was only 7 mins from their place so would stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights. First night our rental car broke down. The desk man, Ray, was really helpful. He made calls for us and even brought us munchies and take-out menus because it took hours to get a replacement car. Room was clean and comfortable, Pool looked good but we didn't find time to use it. The included breakfast was excellent, Hot food, pastries, waffles, fruit, hot and cold drinks, something for everyone -we often don't like hotel breakfasts. All staff were pleasant but Ash in the breakfast room was especially friendly and helpful. She seemed to remember everyone and took time to speak to them. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She showed my wife how to use the waffle maker - big mistake, now we are getting one when we get back home. I hope the management realize what an asset she is for their business. A great stay in all ways.

We have stayed here many times as our daughter and grandson live close by.We are always glad to return.We feel welcome and safe. And the service is excellent. Parking is convenient. Stores close by as well as freeways. I like the indoor pool as well as a quick breakfast before leaving for the day.

Would highly recommend Best Western Plus Hotel. The hotel staff were extremely courteous. We found the room was well appointed and clean. The room service was excellent, the room was excellently cleaned every day. We were not available to use the pool and fitness center, but they were very inviting and accessible. We would highly recommend Best Western Hotel to anyone.

The room was very comfortable and the hotel offered a free full breakfast which was a bonus. Even though it was just off of a major road (I-225), it was pretty quiet. The hotel is pretty easy to get to if you know your way on the major routes (coming from the north I-25 to I-225, then exit onto Abilene). There are a number of restaurants not far away (about 5 north on Abilene). The dogs were very welcome and the pet fee was not too bad ($20/night). Also, there's a small off leash park about 10 minutes away (on the other side of I-225) and a nice park in which to relax.

Pleasant experience from the moment we walked through the door. Front desk personnel were very pleasant and friendly especially Sandi, she made sure that we felt very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the beds, bedding and pillows were all very comfortable. It is very conveniently located from the hospital that we were visiting. The only negative I could find for this hotel was the strong chlorine order from the pool when you first walk in, but that is to be expected with an indoor pool.

I chose this hotel for it's location, which was close to a medical conference that we were attending, and also because it was more reasonably priced than others that I considered. One thing in particular that I liked was that the bathroom sink was not in the same room as the shower and toilet, allowing me to dry my hair and apply makeup while my husband showered. There was a small refrigerator and microwave also, which is always nice to have when away from home. We also found it convenient that a Walmart was located just behind the hotel, making it easy and quick to pick up a few things that we forgot to bring. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and housekeeping did a good job keeping the room clean during our stay. They also supplied plenty of towels! I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I were needing a place to stay while visiting family in the area. We were greeted by friendly, courteous and very helpful staff on ALL 5 days of our stay. The hotel was peaceful... it was easy to relax and sleep. Our room was very clean and the hospitality staff was always ready to replenish our room with whatever we needed. The pool was pristine! The breakfast bar was always filled with a generous assortment of items and the area was kept clean.

What a great hotel in a great location! My husband and I stayed there while visiting our son in aurora. Great staff and huge rooms that were spotless and well appointed with fridge and microwave. The hot breakfast was excellent with a great variety including waffles, bagels, eggs, fruit etc. great freeway access to downtown Denver. Lots of restaurants and Walmart right there in walking distance. definitely will be returning when we visit again.

I stayed here on a week night during a business trip. Wow what a nice place to stay and I stay at a lot of Best Western's. Kyle upon check in was very informative. I travel with a long combination pick-up and trailer. They have a partnership with the Sam's club next to them that allows for such type of parking. There are numerous places to eat and drink within walking distance. I stayed in a king suite and found the whirlpool tub to be very relaxing. My only concern was that there was very limited parking. As someone who stays in a hotel at least a 150 nights a year this was one of the best

We recently stayed at this BW for five nights and were very pleased. The hotel and our room was very clean and was cleaned well each day. The staff was very friendly. But probably what stood out most was the breakfast! There were enough delicious choices that we never got bored with breakfast. Plus they set out free snacks and beer every Mon-Thurs afternoon. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Denver area.

This hotel is great for staying in Aurora. Easy to access, clean, with great staff. Breakfast is great with several options. The wifi in the room was not perfect, but we stayed on the very end very far from the front of the hotel. But everything else went very smooth.

We stayed here the night before we flew out from Denver to return home. The staff was friendly, the room large & the bed comfortable. The hotel is easily accessible & near (walking distance) to both a couple of restrurants & the Walmart if you need something. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the Denver area.

"Whirlwind Tour of Denver"

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Hotel is near numerous restaurants, shopping and freeway access to Denver attractions. Breakfast is nice but more seating is needed. The evening happy hour was unexpected because I had never stayed at a Best Western property that offered this service. Variety of drinks is limited to beer and wine but it is very nicely presented in lobby area.The rooms are nicely appointed. I was slightly disappointed with the quality of toiletries provided in the bathroom. Pool area and exercise room is adequate. The hotel personnel were very nice and professional. The check-in/check-out process was swift and seamless. I was offered express check-out. Although I didn't use the option, it was appreciated. I will definitely keep this hotel at the top of my list when considering future trips to the Denver area.

One of the best Best Western hotels I have stayed at. The staff from the beginning of my stay to the end was very kind, caring and helpful. The hotel cleanliness was excellent and I did not have any problems with the room. Breakfast was good and had a wide variety of items.

Everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the maids were very friendly and VERY good at their jobs. We had to travel with our cat at the last minute, and they were very accommodating for us. We would certainly stay again when we come back to the area.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. I received a free gym pass at check in, which I really enjoyed. I hit the gym which was within walking distance, nice gym. I was invited to the PM social hour, but had business that evening so I missed it. Breakfast was good as usual. Nice location, quiet, with plenty of shopping real close by. Nice place that I will stay at every time I travel there to visit my sites.

This hotel is an excellent place. Very nice remodeling a couple of years ago. It's top notch. Great staff, and good food. We have stayed here many nights over the last three years, as our daughter lives nearby, but doesn't have space for us. We have never been disappointed!

Stayed just on night before using the airport. Easy to find. Convenient to a couple restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast included in the price. Room was quite clean and modern. Desk staff friendly and helpful. Very acceptable chain motel.

Friendly staff from when we checked in, throughout our stay and up to when we checked out. Breakfast buffet was nice with options. Clean on the outside, lobby and room was clean. Pool was nice. Room was comfortable and clean. Exhaust fan didn't work but we notified hotel staff. Convenient location for us off 225.

Everything was great and could not have been better! The staff was helpful, breakfast was great, and the location was perfect for us. There were restaurants and shopping near the hotel but it was not to congested an area where we did not feel uncomfortable driving on our own.

The hotel is conviently located for our visit to family. Also has a great variety of business within walking distance if one does not want to drive. The room is always quiet and comfortable. The top floor of this hotel used to be smoking and one can still sense smoke odor from the years it was allowed but it is not so overpowering as to be a problem,. Will stay there again in future.

We travel frequently due to lots of kids sports. We stayed in this hotel for 9 nights and had a great experience. All the staff members were friendly and greeted us each time we walked in. They had lots of extra touches: evening cookies, snacks, cold water bottles. The wifi was great. We had an issue with someone else staying in the hotel. The front desk employee, Richard, took excellent care of us. He was kind, understanding and professional. He took care of the difficult situation in the best manner possible. Definitely went above and beyond. I didn't give 5 stars because: the breakfast area was small for the size of hotel and their was only one washer and dryer for the entire facility.

Had a nice stay, enjoyed the cookies in the late afternoon and their breakfast in the morning like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, and make your burrito. Grandson had fun swimming in the pool everyday and my husband loved the whirlpool. Most places don't have enough plug ins but not here the lamps even have places that you can plug things into.

Easy on and off access from I- 225 to the Medical Center. this was a friendly staffed motel with clean rooms, good breakfast and a happy hour which we could not take advantage of since we were visiting in the hospital daily until 8 pm. The beds were too soft, otherwise, all was good.

"Comfortable place to crash"

I crashed at the Best Western Plus for one night and had a comfortable rest. The street was under construction last August, so getting to the hotel was a bit challenging, but inside the hotel was peaceful. The front desk attendant was friendly and I was greeted with warm cookies. The hotel was clean, quiet, up-to-date, and had a very good breakfast. It's conveniently located in a retail area with several restaurants and stores.

Everything from check in to check out went smoothly. Pool & hot tub were great. Had to get on the road early so don't know about breakfast but there was hot coffee in the lobby to get us on our way. Close to Wal-mart (probably could have walked) which was great for restocking snacks for car ride.

Clean, lovely breakfast, close to the highway but you don't really hear the traffic. The general manager Kyle was very nice and helped my aunt and I check in early. She got altitude sickness and we had to check out of our other hotel in Colorado Springs and didn't have anywhere to go while she felt nauseous and light headed. Appreciated the effort!

My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel, 6/21-6/22, 2016. From check-in to check-out, the staff was warm, friendly and efficient. The hotel had an updated appearance, smelled wonderfully clean, and was well-kept. The bedroom was spotless upon check-in. I do wish the fridge had already been turned on to cool prior to check-in, but it chilled in about 12 hours and kept our wine and leftovers cool in the meantime. Let me emphasize how fresh and delicious the breakfast was: Waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, muffins, eggs, hash browns, lots of juices and super fresh coffee! Yum! It was hot and delicious, and the dining area was kept neat and clean. Also, the king sized bed in our suite was a slice of heaven. The mattress and bedding were new, soft and rather cloud-like. We slept very peacefully. I would indeed return if I am in need of a hotel room near Aurora. Thank you!

This Best Western was our first night of our trip. The front desk had 2 attendants there and it was busy. When I go to front desk the gentleman said our room wasn't quite ready and asked if we would take another room, which was fine with me. From our arrival, the staff was very helpful at the Best Western Plus in Aurora, CO. Throughout our stay, they answered our questions and helped in a timely fashion. The decor of the rooms is outdated, but the convenience and staff friendliness made up for that. Breakfast had good variety and was satisfying.

We visited last week and stayed for seven days. The staff was courteous and friendly & the hotel itself very clean. We really appreciated their personal touches; specifically, the "grab & go" breakfast bags provided for guests who cannot stay for the free breakfast and also the managers reception. We were so surprised by the latter because they not only had beverages but also snacks, breadsticks, nachos and even a pizza one night! The manager often checked the buffet to make sure everything was stocked. I liked the daily breakfast buffet, which again had a staff member close by to attend to anything that needed attention. My only "ding" is that our room had an odor. It was not smoke or anything like that; I'm not quite sure what it was. We never brought it up with the staff but I'm sure they would have addressed it if we did. We stayed on the 2nd floor on the side closest to the highway. We would definitely stay again but I'd ask for a room on other side of hotel. A very pleasant stay all around.

"Just an OK stay"

Stayed one night as we are house hunting in the area. Only 1 person working behind the desk so had to wait 15-20 mins to check in, which I don't mind waiting but when you're with a 7 year old it can get pretty hectic quick. After we checked in, our room was on the 4th floor. When we walked in, the room smelled heavy of smoke. Not sure why as it should have been a non smoking room. The smell also followed us (of heavy smoke) on our toothbrushes and clothes. The pool was nice (goes up to 5ft), indoor, and also has a hot tub. In the morning, breakfast had a lot of choices and wasn't bad, although it goes quick so get there early. Staff was really friendly. Paid $137 after tax for a room with 2 queen beds.

Hello USAAF Family, I was so disappointed to hear about your experience. I apologize for the smoke smell coming from you room. We did check and you are absolutely correct. Although we are a 100% non-smoking hotel, apparently the guest before you had smoked in the room. The housekeeper should have notified me upon cleaning the room, but it was not communicated. I am so sorry that happened. I travel quite a bit myself and I can understand how frustrating that can be after a long day of traveling... especially with a youngster I can imagine it'd be exhausting. As far as the checkin process, we usually always staff 2 clerks with the exception of the graveyard shift. Depending on when you arrived, that could be why there was only 1 clerk working. "Not convenient to I-25"

I regularly stay in the Denver area when traveling to New Mexico; this is the first time I have stayed at this Best Western as it was close to a friend that lives in Aurora. It was not conveniently off the I-25; however, it is a very nice place to stay and in a great location, next to a mall and several places to eat. The Hotel was clean and the rooms large and well appointed. I would have liked the breakfast to have been served starting at 6:00 a.m. instead of 6:30 as I wanted to get on the road right away. Fresh brewed coffee is always available and a grab and go option was offered. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was easy to adjust. The bathroom was large; and clean, and it was quiet and dark enough for a comfortable evening. I cannot comment on the breakfast as I was long gone before 6;30

"Memorial Day vacation"

Stayed at this property for Memorial Day vacation to Denver. The hotel is located off of I-225, not far from the split from I-70. It is on Abilene Street, which is mainly a feeder street for other hotels and businesses near the interstate. Directly nearby is a Sam's Club. There was a shopping center within a mile and some chain restaurants about the same distance away. The property itself is in good condition on the exterior, and the grounds are maintained. The lobby looks like it was updated in the last 3-5 years and has a clean, modern look. The breakfast area is off the lobby in a separate large room. Hot breakfast items are served there, usual hotel fare of eggs, make-your-own pancakes, etc. Breakfast area is clean and regularly staffed. We also used the pool area, which is regular sized swimming pool and a hot tub. They were finishing re-titling the pool room, but this did not interfere with use of the pool and should be completed soon. Our room was very good size (2 queen beds), had a clean look and appropriate furniture. The mattresses felt slightly hard, though I've always found hotel beds hard and never as good as the one at home. Room was kept clean by staff, though they did not refill some of the coffee items one day. I would say it appeared the hotel was fairly full, but there was not much noise to be heard. One other critique I have is the wi-fi shows a strong signal, but it seemed to stop working after 15-20 minutes on my tablet. Since I was only using it sparingly, I didn't say anything and it wouldn't negatively influence my decision to stay there in the future. All in all, it was a good hotel. This is only the second BW Plus property I've stayed at, and the difference in quality seems to only be in the margins. Overall, I like BW properties and this is one I would stay at again in the future.

Decent hotel for quick stay on our way to DIA. The staff was wonderful, but the room was a bit shabby. The sink was loosely attached to the wall. I was afraid it was going to fall off. Everything else was ok. Left at 5 am so we didn't get to try breakfast. I was impressed that the room had a fridge & a safe. I would stay here again for a quick trip.

As a frequent business traveler I find that the amenities offered here are very satisfactory. I was a repeat customer to this facility. As a bonus, there's a Sam's Club next door, so being a member I walked across the parking lot and purchased room munching supplies and an inexpensive dinner of pizza or hot dogs a couple of times.

"Stranded but Happy"

Myself and 7 of my customers had been held up in Wichita waiting on a plane coming from Denver to pick us up. As the plane was over 2 Hours and 45 Minutes when it landed in Denver we ended up missing our connecting flight. As I am very familiar with the Best Western line I decided to call the local Best Western hotels starting of course at the closest location. They were unable to assist as they were full from other people who had missed flights as well. I ended up getting in touch with the Best Western in Aurora and was informed that he would find us room and that we could head over. We made it to the location and found that the staff were very friendly and helped us get situated with rooms which made me feel a little less stressed. The rooms were clean and spacious and everyone had a comfortable sleep. The breakfast was good and just what we needed to get the day going in hopes of getting home.

Polite staff. Got me into my room hours before check in. Breakfast room was clean and well staffed. Great variety of food. The hot tub was actually hot! Pool towels were stocked. I can't say enough about my stay here. I was very pleased!

This hotel is very friendly to pets and is a nice, clean place to stay. We were turned away from the Best Western Denver Southwest because we had three cats, but this hotel made us feel welcome. The front desk staff is particularly kind and helpful.

We planned on staying in several Best Western Plus hotels on our trip home from Virginia. Everyone one of them including this one were outstanding!!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very nice with a good variety of breakfast items. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely recommend it for anyone traveling though the Aurora Colorado area.

My husband was having heart surgery at Aurora Medical Center and being close by at the Best Western Plus in Aurora was a God send. It was an all-round wonderful hotel. I could not ask for more wonderful, friendly and competent staff. BRAVO!!!!!

"Close to Hospital"

We stayed in the hotel due to our grandson having allergies we are unable to stay in any hotel that allows pets. We were thankful for the staffs help in getting us maps and helping with directions . The hotel was close to the hospital and yet far enough away that we could enjoy the restaurants and shopping within walking distance of the hotel. The pool area was kept clean.

We found the BWPlus to be conveniently located close to the Anschutz Medical Center and easy to get to off the interstate. Being close to Schlotsky's and Sam's club was especially handy. Kyle (GM), Sandi, Richard, Mark, and Ashley went above and beyond to accommodate us during our medical trip to Aurora. My mother arrived injured from an accident at the airport and the staff helped her by handling all the luggage and moving her room to one more easily accessible. They provided doggie treats each time we walked by the front desk and the breakfast was filling with sausage, danishes, fruit, etc. The rooms were clean and well-appointed with coffee maker and fridge.

I have really enjoyed Best Western Plus in Boulder, Co, and in Grand Island, NE. However, the so called Best Western Plus at 800 S. Abilene St. in Aurora Co. is in no way a "Plus." The hotel should be stripped of that designation at once. I just returned from a 4-night stay there (April 2016) and found that the general manager, Kyle R. Murray, by his own admission knew nothing about the problems: broken toilet seat in Room 418, broken waffle machine in breakfast room, kitchen out of many foods 3 days running, lamps flanking the single sofa in lobby had no lightbulbs and there was no intention to install. Guest rooms very dim----looked like a nightstand per room was removed as was the lamp that would be on it. Staff refused to provide an extra light. When I asked the manager about the problems I encountered, he accused me of "trying to pick a fight with him." Hotel rather warn, depressing. How is this a Best Western PLUS?? Hello Beth, I'm sorry that your experience here left you so upset. We try very hard to make sure every guest leaves feeling rested, relaxed and satisfied. The lighting that is in our guestrooms is exactly the same as every BW Plus (and every hotel out there). The number of lights and wattages are all standards and are checked on a regular basis. We could not pull a light out of another room to put into yours because then the other room would not have adequate lighting. The breakfast food that you claim we were out of for 3 days (bananas) is not true. We ran out of bananas on the morning of your departure, but all of the other food items were available. We did resupply right away. The waffle maker is working properly, as is the toilet seat in room 418. I will admit that I did state that I believed that you were "trying to pick a fight" because you came back into the hotel 1 hour after you checked out with a long list of complaints. Based on your interactions with other staff members and even some guests, my assertion was that you were coming back to verbally abuse the staff and myself in an attempt to receive compensation. Just spent three night here. Selected it based on TA reviews. Bottom line -- it's fine. Nothing fancy, and it is reasonably but not spotlessly clean. The staff is very nice but it seemed they were stretched thin. One day our room did not get made up until about 4 pm, and that was not convenient for us. We'd been out of the room most of the day and wanted a few minutes to relax. Among the things I did not care for were the fact that the beds squeaked anytime you turned over, like an old spring mattress. And I did not like the fact that there is no counter top in the bathroom where you can lay out your toiletries. One ends up using the toilet lid, which is not ideal. The hotel breakfast is OK, but thankfully we brought some of our own food. The location is decent but a little hard to access because of the nearby roads and construction. It was not bad, but when we return to Aurora we will find another hotel.

Hello KaneoheBoy, Thanks so much for taking time to submit a review. I was disappointed to learn that your stay with us was less than stellar. We very much appreciate your feedback. Although we have beds that are less than a year old, we did find that the bed in your room did have a squeaking sound when moving around on the mattress. We replaced the box spring and that did the trick. I am not sure if you had specifically requested an ADA accessible room, but that is why it has a pedestal sink instead of a full vanity (which all of our regular rooms have) in the bathroom area. ADA requirements limit the space in the bathrooms for accessibility reasons, so our hands are tied in that instance. Our breakfast has been enhanced and expanded... We now have a build your own breakfast burrito bar, with scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, cheese and salsa. We now have a full mini pancake bar with different flavored syrups, chocolate chips, whip cream and cinnamon. We also have additional toppings for oatmeal and even a "grab and go" option for our guests that are anxious to get back on the road. I think you'll find that our breakfast is better quality and offers a lot more than any other hotel in the area. I agree that the rail line construction has been an inconvenience for folks, but the portion of the project that is on the streets where our hotel is located was completed a couple of months ago. They are still working on a portion of an adjacent street and that should hopefully be completed in the next 6 weeks. "Older, over priced hotel"

I stay am many Best Western; they are a partner with one of my preferred airlines. This hotel is older, which is not a problem in itself, but you the rates are that of a much newer, nicer, better appointed hotel. I would have been OK paying $60 for this room. I needed the suite because I was working at night and I needed the room. My bill was $150 including discounts. Old bed, old sofa, and horrible pillows. The pool is located in the center of the main level. Chlorine smell is strong, I could smell it in the hallway on the 3rd floor. The provided breakfast was sub par for the price for the room. There are several other hotels within a few miles for this, I would stay there. Overall, this cost more than had I stayed at the Doubletree or the Holiday Inn Express just down the road. Again, not bad, the worst place I have stayed, but the price you pay is not worth what you are getting.

We take a lot of pride in offering a stellar stay for all of our guests, and I was disappointed to learn that you felt our facility was "older". Our hotel is only 15 years old and was completely renovated last year. I was surprised about your comments referring to "Old beds, old sofa". During our renovation last year we upgraded and replaced all of our beds and sofas. They are less than a year old. As far as the chlorine smell, this was because we were having a window replaced in the pool room and had the door open for the contractor to be able to get in and out. Normally the door is kept shut and is a controlled environment. Our breakfast offerings have been expanded as well and now include a pancake bar and breakfast burrito bar. I am not sure what else we could have done, or could be doing to ensure all of our guests have a comfortable stay. There is a big problem on the 4th floor, north end of the building. There is a "compressor" motor that runs every 2 hours for 30 minutes and it is LOUD. No one who has stayed in the rooms directly adjacent to this NOISE would give this hotel a good rating. Also, if your room is on the front, highway side, of the hotel forget about ever having peace and quiet. LOUD traffic noise 24 hours a day. Other than that it is a nice property. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, not hard at all. The staff is as helpful as they can be. There are many restaurants and stores nearby.

There is an air compressor that is hooked into our fire sprinkler system, that will only run to re-pressurize the pipes. Typically this will never turn on as the pipes will be always be pressurized. However we did find a small leak in one of the connections that was allowing air to escape. This is what caused the compressor to kick on. The leak has since been repaired and the compressor is no longer coming on. "Blizzard emergency, no food"

I just read the review about having no food during the blizzard & completely agree that this was not handled correctly. The manager brought in pizza for himself & staff only. We observed a guest helping himself to pizza in the breakfast area & a staff member ran in & made him put it down, retrieved the pizzas & put them in a private room. Guests were stranded in rooms all day with no food, for "happy hour" they put out a bowls of chips with a carafe if wine & some canned beer - nothing for children. I could write much more about this very negative experience but suffice it to stay we won't be staying here again!

Hello Henrietta, The blizzard was a mess, without a doubt. I apologize for all of the confusion and misunderstandings. The pizzas that were brought in at noon were for a training session that was being conducted by executive members from Best Western Hotels corporate and had been arranged weeks in advance. I had put the pizza's in the breakfast room (which was closed) to hold until the training was ready to break. That was my mistake. I can certainly understand how this was perceived and again I apologize. At that time, restaurants were still open and people were able to get food on their own. As the weather deteriorated later in the evening, we attempted to get more already cooked pizzas from Sams club next door for guests, but they had closed their kitchen. We purchased uncooked pizzas and were cooking them 1/2 at time and putting those out for guests at around 7:00pm. Since we do not have a restaurant, the only oven we have is a small convection oven we use to bake cookies. It was less than ideal to say the least, but I feel strongly that we were doing the best we could considering the situation. It's unfortunate that people were having a hard time trying to find something to eat for dinner, but again because we do not have a restaurant on site, I think we did everything possible to try and help in the unfortunate situation. An older BW. However well cared for. Check in staff friendly & courteous. Managers reception in progress (beer, wine & snacks). Room with king sized bed large, comfortable & clean. Fast food & restaurants located nearby.

"Snowed in!"

We stayed here 2 nites. One planned, one nite not! Second morning woke to an arctic blizzard! Granted the hotel didn't have a restaurant onsite, but they should keep food on hand to feed them when these freak storms hit Denver, they know that these things happen. People couldn't drive anywhere, there were no delivery services, the city was pretty much shut down. The nite staff (men) were extremely rude. I called down and requested two additional pillows and he said they were out. I said, you're out, of pillows? He says yes! Omg! Lol This was the first nite, so I knew he wasn't out of pillows, the hotel barely had any cars in the lot. Long story short, stay elsewhere! Oh...and the beds were hard as a rock!

So, it's not something we are always prepared for. We did in fact put food out in the evening as we thought people might be hungry and almost everything in the area was closed. We purchased pizzas from Sam's club next door and made those available for guests. We also put out various snack items including snack mix, nuts and chips along with beer and wine and bottled water for guests to enjoy. Again, this happens very seldom, so I don't believe anyone was prepared for the blizzard. I apologize about the pillows. However, our clerk was not lying to you. He let me know the next morning that we were in fact out of extra pillows that are kept in the laundry room for guests. We keep all of our extra unopened supplies in a secure room upstairs that only managers have access to. My sister and I stayed here when she came to visit. We took her two small children swimming in the pool and they loved it! The water was a decent temperature and it's inside which was nice because it was early March. They also had continental breakfast which was extremely convenient. This location is perfect because it's close to the highway, lots of restaurants and shopping.

The Best Western Gateway, on South Abilene right off Interstate 225, really shines. The pool and hot tub are relaxing, the staff is very accommodating, the rooms are spacious and inviting, the internet is fast, and the location is convenient to the airport.

We recently stayed at this motel as we were attending a conference in Denver. We found our accommodation comfortable and clean. The only problem was that the shower was not hot enough, it was a disabled bathroom (not asked for) so maybe the temperature is controlled. The staff were welcoming and friendly with special mention for the lady running the breakfast room, nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfast was included in our tariff and the food was plentiful and nice. If I return for another conference, I would definitely stay there.

Beds were to hard. The second day they did not clean our room and when i tried to talk to maid she did not speak English. The manager had a Himmler attitude and look.I will never take my family to another Best Western ever.I will never recommend Best Western to any of my friends or many business associates or clients. In fact I will make a point of telling everyone not to stay at Best Western anywhere.

The stay went ok. The check in was kind of a drag waiting for the receptionist to get off the phone. Next room was really noisy. We will stay there again. The hotel is in a bad location. a lot of detours at this time. Very clean rooms.

I have stayed at this location in the past and was very satisfied. Easy to access and rooms are quiet and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and accommodations are very good for the price Will stay here in the future. Even though the people I visit have moved to Denver proper I like the hotel better than the ones I have stayed at even though they are closer.

This hotel was recently remodeled in 2015, and they did an excellent job on decor, linens and furniture. Rooms were very spacious with adequate lighting. Hotel staff were very courteous and professional. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend to friends. We appreciated the hospital discount which was more than AAA discount.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few months. The staff are always pleasant and friendly very helpful. quick check in and check out. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast is comparable to most hotels. I would recommend this hotel.

"Clean and safe and secure"

This place is right down the road from my office, and I stay here when I have early AM meetings, or when bad winter weather hits and I don't want to commute back to Boulder. Desk staff is super polite and will fulfill your every request, even at 3AM (I teach night classes at the college down the road). The breakfast is decent in a hotel sort of way. Be sure to give them your AAA, AARP, and Best Western cards, the room rates go way down. The only other safe and secure option is the Holiday Inn Express half a mile south, and I found it worn, shabby and dirty and at the same price. There are other really sketchy hotels within a mile of this place, but here you have lots of parking with security cameras watching your car. Reserve your room well in advance, as this place fills up fast, it's right across I-225 from the UC Medical Center and folks who have to go there know it's a safe, clean and secure solution.

Awesome experience! I have had a hard time finding a hotel that I actually enjoyed but this was it. The staff was supper friendly and the breakfast was good. my family and I had a great 2 nights here. The room was very clean. the bathroom and tub were a good size.

"Richard on the late shift was not helpful when I asked for towels and shampoo since our room was not clean"

Night shift was not a easy check in. The breakfast was great. Noise in the hallways next to our room. Too close to the elevator, I guess. Great except for Richard. He told me he did not want to fight with me about our room that was not cleaned or towels changed and shampoo and conditioner replaced.

Great staff clean hotel. Very friendly will do anything to help out the guests. Breakfast was good and always stocked. Easy access to the interstate and local dining. Have afternoon wine, beer, and snacks. Will visit again.

This Hotel is very well managed! The entire facility kept real Clean! They have an excellent breakfast for the tenants and an excellent food Staff! They have a great room layout! The swimming pool and the sauna is great! the evening happy hour is GREAT!

Nice entry way, nice room. I could hear steps of the guests above me. Fitness center was nice. The breakfast included eggs and sausage. So for those who cannot eat wheat or gluten, there is that option.

After a one night disaster at a sleazy, dirty, mold and mildew Travel Lodge stay in Aurora that was part of a package deal with Southwest Airlines we check out of the Travel Lodge and into the Best Western for 3 nights. It was a perfect choice and a great stay. The room was fresh and clean. The staff was excellent. It was a great value for the money. I would stay here again.

A severe winter snow storm hit the Denver Colorado area! With us living outside of Denver, East 40 Miles, we were able to get a reservation at the Best Western Hotel for the night! After hearing the Rods were still closed, we call the Best Western Hotel and Sandy was able to schedule and reserve another night at the same rate!

"Staff Extremely Helpful"

My daughter and I stayed at this location so that I could take care of her after a brief procedure at a nearby medical facility. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. All front desk employees were courteous, knowledgeable and helpful...everything from having loud music quieted to fixing the printer in the business center. Breakfast bar was very accommodating along with the staff that made sure you had everything you wanted. Close to the expressway. Stores and restaurants are right there for all your needs.

"Good place to stay for Anschutz Medical Center"

The view is either of a shopping mall or of Hwy I-225, but for the price the stay was good. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and except for one person, the staff was friendly. The hotel is an easy 4+ km from the medical center. My room was on the mall side of the hotel, so I can't comment about traffic noise. The bed covers are thin, but the air-con/heat keeps the room reasonably comfortable. I would recommend this hotel over the Springhill Suites across the street from the medical center.

We stayed three nights at this hotel because we were visiting family in the area. My only complaint was that our room 213 had a view of a brick post and a lot of pigeon poop. We kept the drapes shut. I would stay there again, but ask for a room with a view.

Room 213 does have an obstructed view as it's located next to the lobby and entrance door, so one of the pillars holding up the covered driveway is in your line of sight. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about that. However, I would very much like to thank you for bringing the pigeon activity to our attention. It appears they found a spot to build a nest, and while we have spikes and other deterrents in place, they are certainly persistent creatures and had apparently found a place to call home. "Decent hotel close to Denver Airport"

I gave only 4 points because the hotel is located right on the Interstate. So if you get a room facing the street it is noisy. We stayed here twice, on the second stay we were assigned a room toward the parking lot which was nice and quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast is good. This is an ideal spot if you are traveling to/from Denver Airport - it is only 20-30 min away.

"Good stay"

So I will tell you this is a typical Best Western stay. The room and bathroom were all clean. Linens on the beds and towels were all nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and TV works fine. That said the one complaint about the room that I have is that the grippy stuff on the bathtub was a bit worn and I nearly lost my balance two times. I let the person know about this when I checked out so that they can address it. Breakfast was typical but with only three types of cereals from a mass dispenser (versus having individual packets of cereal). Problem solved in taking it on the road by putting the cereal into a coffee cup and slapping on a lid. I did a test with the Best Western Kiva in Fort Collins and this one. In the reservation request section of the online form I asked for a printed picture of a famous person to be put on my nightstand. In neither case did Best Western deliver. This is not an issue that affected the stay but I will say that other major hotel chains accommodate requests. This location was convenient to shopping and food. I would have no problem staying here again.

"too much odor in the room"

The staff was helpful, professional, and courteous, but I would not recommend this hotel due to the heavy hand with Febreeze or other fragranced product. If the room is clean, there is no need for an artificial scent. Sorry to give a poor rating, but my personal pillow I brought with me even still smells from the hotel which interrupted my at-home sleep.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was not bad. Breakfast was great and a lady named Rebecca was wonderful. She made sure you were happy and one day had a special pumpkin spice waffle mix available. She even gave us a special little gift to give our granddaughter. Rebecca was super! This location has lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

"Clean safe place to stay"

Best western was very clean. In suburban area with lots of shops & restaurants. Close to freeways. About 20-25 minutes from downtown Denver. About 15 minutes from Denver International Airport. Would stay there again if opportunity arises.

"Noise and dogs!"

The room was well appointed and clean, but the noise level was most disturbing. They need some kind of sound proofing. I also don't like being in a hotel where dogs are allowed. Not only is the barking annoying, but dogs go to the bathroom on the floor, get on the furniture, have fleas and shed. It is not sanitary.

"Management cleaning cost saving policy"

Two night stay and room was not cleaned. Reason given that it is policy not to check a room a second time if the do not disturb sign is on the room. We told staff before noon that the room was free to be cleaned. On our later return, manager said it was policy not to check a room twice due to the time a cleaner had to clear a floor. It's a small hotel. Cost saving policies like this damage the stay experience. Just to note. It's really an airport hotel which is what we wanted to avoid.

Stopped on the way back from Vail and we were very close to the airport. Not much directly around the place, but only a few miles from a big assortment of restaurants. They provided the usual buffet breakfast and it was good.

I picked this hotel on the basis of the reviews I had read about it. When I arrived I found a hotel that was rather average and with a very limited staff, many of them very tired from working overnight and double shifts. The room we requested was average, and the service we received was spotty. We were out from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m on the first day and found the room had not been cleaned upon our return. When we inquired, we found out that rooms that were being occupied for more than one night were not given cleaning priority. We all ended up waiting in the lobby for the room to be cleaned after our own long day out. Not sure I'd recommend.

This is a clean, friendly place to stay. It is near shopping, restaurants and the freeway. Service was good, breakfast was very good and I would recommend this facility to any one going to the Denver area.
