Myself and my partner booked this hotel to stay at straight after our flight so we could go back to the airport for our rental car in the morning and begin our journey further into Sweden. When we found the bus stops at the airport it was all very clearly sign posted for which stop to wait at to go to this hotel and it stated for out of hours to ring the hotel for transport. I rang and spoke to a lovely man named Tommy who spoke great English and stated the shuttle bus would arrive within 10 minutes. The bus dropped us off at the hotel and Tommy checked us in straight away and directed us to our room. The room was dated but very clean and had all the amenities we could need and for the extremely cheap price, it was great value! In the morning we headed to breakfast (which started at 4am!). The breakfast was great, a choice of hot items, cereals, fruit and bread. We then checked out and the free shuttle bus returned us to the airport to pick our rental car up. All in all a great experience and value for money!
After a fairly awful journey from Edinburgh to Stockholm I found myself in need of a hotel for the night before completing my journey. A quick search and I found this place. There is a shuttle bus from the airport every half hour, the journey takes about 20 minutes. Check in was straightforward and whilst I found my room a little warm it was exceptionally clean and there was plenty of hot water. The only thing I would suggest is raising the height of the loo roll holder, it's a bit low! Breakfast is served from 430-9 and provides a range of continental and hot options. If I were stuck in Stockholm again I would use this hotel for sure.
My room was in one of the little cluster of buildings around the property. The room smelled a little weird and was the smallest hotel room that I've ever seen. Also it was super hot in the room. I had to prop the door open for about an hour to try and cool it down a little. Then I closed up the door and laid in the little bed. There was sand or something on the bed. And it was still hot. I had a very bad night of sleep. The people however were very nice.
After traveling to Tallinn and Helsinki, we arrived back in the Arlanda airport. We easily found the bus map outside the bus exit which showed us which slot our bus would be, #13. At the bus stop there is a sign with the times of the pickups. The bus was right on time. We boarded with our luggage. There was plenty of room and the access to the bus was one simple step. The bus makes three stops, First Hotel, BW Park hotel, then BW arlanda Hotelby. We had prepaid reservations. We walked in to reception, told the desk clerk our last name, and he handed us a key. We were back out the door to our room in less than one minute! Our room was down a slight incline behind the central check in/ reception area. The rooms are in separate cottage type buildings. We took our luggage to our room. The room was perfect for us for an overnight stay. We were on the first floor. If one had large luggage and a second floor room assignment, then one might want to leave some luggage with reception. The second floor is accessed by metal circular stairs. In our room, there were two twin beds, a night stand, a small desk, 2 barrel chairs, a wall mounted TV, and a large bathroom with a shower. There were tea and coffee makings with a hotpot and a small refrigerator. They even had umbrellas by the door. We went back to reception to check on dinner and look for a beer. The owner's daughter was the bartender and she was a delight. We fortunately had time to chat with her and we found out the front desk person was her older brother. Both of them were great people. We ordered dinner. It was excellent. I had the char which was done in a light white sauce with lovely vegetables and potatoes. My husband had the prawn starter and the bbq ribs. He was very happy with his meal, too. Both meals were large portions. After dinner we chatted with other guests. I went back to our room to check in for our flight. The wifi worked great. The beds were very comfortable. We slept with the windows open. There was very little road noise during the night. In the morning, breakfast was superb. There was everything one could ask for from a full English breakfast(eggs, bacon, sausages, beans) to cold cuts, cheese, vegetables, fruits, cereals and more. I can't think of any thing missing. Our cHeck out was as simple as check in. We boarded the BW bus and returned to the airport for our next WOW flight. If in Arlanda again, we would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here right before our flight out the next morning. It was quite handy to the airport, nice beds, and very clean with an excellent spread for breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Not much to like about this hotel. It's biggest problem is design. The rooms are in 2 story clusters, and all of the second floor rooms can only be accessed by a very narrow circular staircase - actually more of a winding ladder than a staircase. I am not sure how anyone with heavy luggage (It does serve an international airport after all) could schlep their luggage. All rooms are accessed from outside, and some have a little walk. Not a problem when the weather was good (as ours was), but I can imagine that it might be a little less enjoyable for the 9 months a year when the weather is less temperate and there is more darkness. Not far behind are the beds. Our twin beds were unbelievably soft and sagged in the middle making for a terrible nights sleep. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The clerk told us it was a 30 minute unpleasant walk to the nearest restaurants and that there were no local taxis. Yes, the hotel had a restaurant, but I am sad to report that it is a ripoff. I ordered the fish "special". Two minutes later the waitress came back and said they were out of it (it was 6:20pm and the restaurant just opened at 6pm), and suggested I order a different fish dish, without any explanation or giving me the menu. I was just a little surprised that that the cost was 100+ krona more than the 'special'. On the plus side, there is a very nice breakfast spread, both hot and cold, that is included in the price and started at 4am which is great for travelers with early flights. The price we paid, around US$175 was by US standards exorbitant for what you got, but is typical, if not a bargain for Scandinavia.
Nice property, close to Arlanda airport. They provide free shuttle bus to the airport. Clean room but small, even the bathroom is small but it doesn't really matter if you are staying there for an overnight sleep. You can call the hotel and request for a shuttle if you arrive after midnight because there is no service between 23:00 and 04:00. My flight arrived just after midnight, I called them and they sent a coach. The rooms are a bit away from the reception. I had one large suitcase and a hand carry and my room was in first floor, it was a bit difficult to take them to the room through a spiral staircase, also to bring it down to checkout. Otherwise, everything was fine. It's great value for money! In the end you get what you pay for! I used the shuttle bus to go to the airport and from there I took a coach to go to Stockholm city, it was so easy. The staff in this hotel were very friendly. The lady coach driver, looked like an Indian, was very kind and helpful. This property is just perfect for an overnight stay!
Stayed here for two nights in April 2018 during a business trip in the area. Convenient airport shuttle and nice breakfast buffet - much better/more interesting food selection than the Best Westerns in the US! Room (two twin beds) was compact and no frills, but clean and fine for one guest. Would have been a little cramped with two people. Thought it was unusual to have a (stocked) umbrella holder by the door; quickly realized this is essential in Sweden. Fortunately got a few rain-free hours each morning before work and was able to go for a jog in the nature park across the street.
We stayed for one nigth due to delaied fligth. The room was nearby somthing we had in the 80ths in a camping in the North of Sweden. Rooms in houses outside the hotel...... Thin blanchets and the pollow wad nearby a joke. We had a meal in the restaurant We had entrecôte and it was very nice The service wad very nice from the lady, that we think was the Restaurant manager. The other lady serving has to learn how to smile and threat costumers good. Its not our fault that the restaurant is busy! Thats why its only 3 points instead of 5
I booked this for a quick overnight stay between flights because it was the most reasonable (not cheap, mind you) hotel with a shuttle to Arlanda Airport. I had emailed prior to arrival about the shuttle and a very kind lady named Sandra Lakso replied with the info I requested. I arrived during a snow storm and was greeted by Peder who quickly checked me in. What I didn't realize was that access to all rooms requires that you walk on a slippery incline with your luggage and then trudge through mini snow drifts. I'm sure this is lovely in the summer, but not ideal in the dead of winter. The rooms (8 in a 2-story pre-fab building) reminded me of a summer camp I went to 50 years ago: rather rustically outdated, but perfectly adequate for a night. The bed was small, but comfy, the desk adequate, but the hands-down best piece of furniture in the room was the IKEA easy chair. The bathroom was more up to date, but had a shower that leaked all over the floor. The heater took a while to warm up, but eventually got to a reasonably toasty temperature. The wifi worked well and the TV had a few international channels. The morning breakfast was a somewhat rudimentary, but a perfectly sufficient start to the day. I was pleased to see Swedish oat milk on offer as well as the regular variety. All in all, a reasonably-priced hotel (for Sweden) near Arlanda with a friendly staff. Just have good footwear for winter stays.
Nothing too fancy but good value for an airport hotel in Sweden with a bus to the airport running at all hours. Be wary though- use the restaurant and the bar and you will double your bill. Really close to a petrol station too so convenient if you have a rental to return.
I've stayed in this hotel a few times and would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and super helpful. I had booked the wrong date so there was no booking for me when I arrived and it wasn't an easy fix but the reception guy was really helpful and sorted it out. The rooms are ok and the beds are comfortable. There is a small gym which has what you need for a basic workout. Very nice breakfast buffet. There is a shuttle bus to/from the airport every 30 min and it only takes 10 min to the terminals.
The room was quite comfortable and clean, but a bit outdated. I think they could renew bed linen and some of the furniture and it could be then a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was ok. The best thing was the free shuttle service to the Arlanda airport.
Tried this hotel near the airport because they claimed to have bicycles available. While it was true they had bikes, what they didn't have was a bike pump to inflate the tires (all of which, on all of the bikes, were entirely flat). Other than the bikes the hotel is a weak motel that needs to start over. The rooms are small and gloomy. Half of the rooms are upstairs, accessed by an outside spiral staircase (the type with 12 inch tread at one side and 2 inch tread at the other). Plan to make multiple trips up the stairs if you have more than a small piece of luggage with you. Hotel is located more or less in the middle of nowhere so you're stuck with the hotel restaurant unless you want to wake for a ways to a little suburban shopping center in what is clearly not the best neighborhood in Stockholm.
Stayed here midweek as availability elsewhere was an issue. Rooms are small and very basic (not sure if the rooms are shipping containers with a pitched roof), however they had everything you need. Arrived late in the evening and the restaurant was open with a good menu and reasonably priced. All staff who served in the restaurant and at check in were both helpful and friendly.
Always get a 'superior' room here. It won't feel superior but the standard rooms are too basic. Could use as an airport hotel (good free shuttle at all hours) but it is mainly used for workers. Friendly staff, food reasonable, nice breakfast buffet. The Arlanda area is pricy for hotels, but even so it always feels pricy staying here.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The free bus runs to and from the airport and to and from the hotel every thirty minutes. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, only fifteen minutes from the terminals. The staff are friendly, the rooms are contained in timber "cottages", four rooms to a cottage. I had a ground floor room. The first floor rooms would be difficult to access with large suitcases, as there is no lift in these cottages. I had a single room, had everything, including a refrigerator. Wifi is free with a good signal. The buffet breakfast has the normal varieties, including a range of fresh fruit. The restaurant meal was very filling. The charge for my room was very affordable. I shall be back.
stayed here 1 night prior to flying out from Stockholm Arlanda. Room is rather basic but clean. The restaurant was fantastic - open late in the evening with a pretty good menu, and the breakfast the next morning was terrific. The hotel offers a free shuttle to/from the airport, operating every 30 minutes (except late nights).
Loved my cycle tour around the area in the evening with hotel bike! Breakfast good but was expecning more scandinavian dishes ..... Only bad experince was to get on the second floor with my big luggage, cause all these litlle houses have starirs to second floor. def recommend first floor
We stayed for one night at this hotel just a short bus ride away from Arlanda airport. There was a free shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. Friendly and helpful check in when we arrived and the room had everything we needed. The hotel is set out in small buildings around a main restaurant and reception area but easy to find your room as there was a plan just outside the reception. A bit different to the usual airport hotels in a good way and we had a great nights sleep and shower was good. Breakfast was excellent the next morning with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, quiet and beds are nice. Standard is low, but people come here to sleep between flights, so it does not matter. Breakfast is just about ok. The low price is what makes this place good Transfer bus to airport twice every hour, at night they come when you call them. The transfer takes approx 10 min. Staff is nice and helpful.
The hotel is approx 10 min shuttle ride to airport. It's a cozy cute hotel with a great dinner menu. Staff was very friendly and no hassles checking in:out. Bed was comfortable. We thought it was a great value. Continental breakfast was great too.
This 3-star hotel is located in a quiet Industrial area not far from Arlanda airport, limiting the aircraft noise to a minimum. It has a village-style concept, with central reception, restaurant, bar, sauna and fitness center and all rooms located in separate wooden houses around it. Rooms are big enough, with some older furniture, but clean, including bathroom. Wi-fi is working very well and there is an LCD TV in each room. The only overstatement is their "free minibar", which is basically an empty fridge with 2 small packs of nuts and 2 miniature chocolates, so do not expect any drinks or snacks for free. Breakfast is included, it is excellent, tasteful, plentyful and served from 4:00 am for early departing people. Most guests are Arlanda airport travellers staying only 1 night. There is a convenient free shuttle bus to/from all ARN terminals every 30 minutes between 04:30 and 24:00, at other times on request. Staff is friendly and helpful. Public bus 571 to Märsta station stops near-by and it is only 15-20 mins walking to the city of Märsta for relax or a commuter train to Stockholm (about 45 mins travel). Despite the hotel is not the cheapest, it is still reasonably priced considering the exorbitant price levels in Sweden and especially on weekends they offer good price packages. All in all, I can only recommend it :-)
I do not really like that the rooms are spread around a big area and in different buildings. You arrive late and have to start to look for a room sometimes far from the reception. In the rain... But still it is a genuine hotel and if you choose the right day the price is acceptable. Its not my first choice when I need a hotel at Arlanda but I never complain to much if I ends up here.
Convenient stopover with the airport shuttle at Arlanda airport. Nice friendly reception, was given room further down the road, could be better pave though. Decent room, good size and nice breakfast!!
Comfortable, clean, pleasant and efficient staff, good food, especially buffet breakfast. Twice hourly bus to/from airport, 10 minutes from stop #11. Decent value. Would come here again. Taxis very expensive. Trains to downtown Stockholm cost more that twice the buses to save half the 45 minute bus ride.
I booked this hotel as I have an early morning flight and I am sorry I booked it. I called reception 3 times within 1 hour, holding the line for more than 10 min. for each call and finally gave up waiting. No one answers the phone! I can't request a wake up call from my room so I had to go out in the cold and dark to the reception building. The guy said he was busy?!!!! He asked me why I didn't come in person?! Has he heard about customer service and that there's a reason why hotel rooms have phones so guests can call reception instead of going in person. Something's wrong with Best Western hotels in the Stockholm area-really bad service at another Best Western hotel in town.
My wife an I have recently been using Stockholm as an entrance to Europe from California. Chose this mid priced hotel because it was close to the airport and much cheaper than the hotels at the airport. The airport shuttle is free and arrives every 20 minutes during the day from right outside the airport. Can't miss it.Takes a little over 5 min to get to the hotel which is located in the middle of what can only be described as a light industrial area. The main building of the hotel is nice but the rooms are separate from this.Since found out that the rooms are cabins transported down from Norway. So be prepared. They are nice, cosey but very small and the walls are very thin.We were there during winter so getting to them can be precarious as they are situated on small hills that get icy.The hotel is located about a mile from Marston station where you can get a train to Stockholm.Much cheaper than getting a train right from the airport which carries an airport tax.Free breakfast comes with your stay which is excellent and the staff are very welcoming.I would stay there again.
This is the second time I have stayed, first time 6 months ago I gave a brilliant review, this time it wasn't as good. The room was very worn, bedding was torn, curtains were stained with what looked like blood... and the toilet seat was not cleaned. A shame because like I said, the last stay was excellent. There were a number of things still brilliant however, the breakfast is always fantastic, good courtesy bus to the airport, front desk are always helpful and the room was well heated as it was snowing and freezing cold this was essential! I would consider still staying again.
I've been there for one night. The layout is a bit unusual. lobby/restaurant together in one building. All room outside spreaded in some outbuildings (dépandance), looking like prefabricated houses. like a motor hotel. Not the best with bad weather. I didn't get the feeling of very clean rooms (dust, spots on floor,...), at list mine. I tried the restaurant for dinner but both apertized and main course were not satisfactory. Carpaccio as entree with overkilling truffle smell and salmon (small) and crousted. Breakfast was fair. Also bar and fitness room not bad. Good welcoming service at the bar and lobby. In the end, I cannot say it's a bad place, but I was not incentivized to return.
Friendly staf, both when booking on phone and at reception desk. The breakfast is one of the best I have had on hotell, a pity I had to leave so early so that I couldent enyoj it in maximum. A great advantage with the possibility of the long term parking.
Stayed here for three days while visiting the city and getting ready for our cruise to leave. Rustic atmosphere with excellent breakfast. Room is small but comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. No local restaurants so either eat in the dining room or catch the bus to local town of Martas. Overall very good.
Reasonable price for an airport hotel. I have stayed here many times and usually in one of the stand-alone buildings. This time I have a "free upgrade" to an executive room but in all honesty it looked like it hadn't had a coat of paint inside for 20 years, with big scratched on the walls, etc, etc. (room 304). To me the non executive rooms are much nicer. Menu choice at the restaurant is poor and grossly over-priced. The service was also terribly slow even at a quiet period. Tried to catch the waitress's eye to order a 2nd drink several times but they were in their own little world. Eventually I gave up and paid my restaurant bill at the bar. It is an OK place to stop of for an early morning flight but expect to pay high prices for poor service and aged rooms.
Great place for a quick stop in Sweden when need to be near the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Allowed us to check in in the morning after flying all night. I would definitely stay there again. Wish I had more time
A nice and quiet stay. Breakfast starts at 4am. which was good, we had a 4:30am pick up for Arlanda airport. Breakfast was good. If you are going to have Dinner, your best deal is the daily suggestion. We had this and was pleasantly surprised, our last stay we had a nice cut of beef that was over cooked. Not very good.
Stayed at this hotel for one night only since I wanted to catch a flight the next morning. My room was simple but clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a meal in the evening which was reasonably good. Drinks at the bar were expensive. Very good breakfast in the morning but the girl at reception needs to learn some manners and be more friendly with the guests.
A perfect hotel to use the night before an ealy flight. Airport pick up service is excellent. Litle long waiting time. Good breakfast, suits early morning flights. Dinner and beverages are available. Car parking if you don' go by train and golf is extra bonus.
We stayed here for one night, to catch an early flight. The rooms were cozy and clean; albiet a little old. With cold weather and snow outside, the room was always nice and warm. The rooms are "apartment style" with separate little buildings that a guest would walk up to (outside), or drive direclty up to. The breakfast was huge, with many various Swedish foods and dishes. A good place to stay for Arlanda travelers.
Good stay for a night. Rooms are big and comfortable. I found them cosy too. Limited options in dinner but the food preparation was good. I loved the cesar salad. Breakfast spread was huge and it was the best I had in Stockholm. The shuttle to the airport runs every half hour and is an amazing service. I would like to thank my shuttle driver who helped us when I forgot my purse at the hotel. He brought us back to the hotel and gave us support when we were panicked to the core. Thank you so much!
Room did not meet the expectations as reviewed previously on multiple internet sites. Room was extremely warm with no regulation of temperature possible, no A/C. Only opening a window was possible and that allowed mosquitoes. Room was small appx. 12X15 + a reasonable size bath. Room had NO Safe - travelers carry money and a Safe is a must!! Beds sucked - just no other way to say it. Two single size beds with horrible spring mattresses, not double or queen shown on internet. Very poor back support!! Hotel is multiple units with 4 rooms in each, two upstairs, two downstairs. No elevator and access to upstairs is a spiral metal outdoor staircase, just great for dragging luggage?? They do offer luggage storage at the office however it is not practical when traveling. The motel is in an industrial area, nothing else around but industrial sites. No restaurants, snack places, stores - nothing. Just the Best Western Hotellby?? You are captive in my view!! They do offer a GREAT shuttle service to the airport where you can find other services, restaurants etc., but it means waiting for the bus schedule to meet yours. The restaurant has a very limited menu and the burgers and fries were the most tempting to me. At 179 Krona it was an expensive meal for burgers. They had one waitress doing everything so she got busy and preoccupied. Beer and Soda was also very high priced as I saw it. The breakfast buffet was very good however, good choices and was free!! I usually do not get attracted to Best Western Motels and this did not assist there standing with me. It was just the best option that I could find on the internet for this trip. I realized when we were there that there were much better choices.
We almost always stay at this hotel when we have an early flight from Arlanda. The fridge in the room is a great bonus and one of the reasons why we stay here. The breakfast buffé is average. If everything that is supposed to be there would be there I would say breakfast if good but unfortunately items are not always replaced within a reasonable time. Usually the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean even if we have noticed that they do not clean behind/under furniture on a daily basis.
This hotel fits the bill for an early Arlanda flight, as other reviewers note, with a wonderful breakfast buffet and a free shuttle to the airport. Sleeping rooms are in several buildings in a campus-type arrangement. Our room was comfortable, clean, with a large flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a large bathroom with shower. Like most Scandinavian mid-range hotels we experienced, liquid soap/shampoo is provided in dispensers, but not shampoo, conditioner, lotion. This was not a problem, but if you need them bring yours along. Breakfast was included, a generous buffet with many selections of eggs, fruit, pastry, bread and cheese in addition to coffee, tea, and juice in the lobby dining area. The only difficulty we encountered was that our room was on the second floor of a nice, motel-type building that had only an outside spiral staircase (no elevator), and this was difficult to navigate at night with heavy luggage. Once in the room all was fine.
If for some reason you need to stay around the Arlanda airport, then this hotel is a good one to choose. It has nice rooms in the greens, with each room having enough green area around and parking is right in front of the room. The restaurant server very good quality buffet breakfast and good meal in general. It has a very nice gym and the staff is very cordial and efficient. Everything is just good in this hotel.
This is the perfect place to stay when one has an early flight from Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. A free bus runs from each terminal to the hotel every half hour, and vice versa. The check in and restaurant staff were welcoming and efficient. Many of the rooms are in "houses" with four rooms in each house. Luckily, I was in a ground floor room, so did not have to carry luggage up a narrow spiral staircase. The room was very clean, but could do with a makeover. The wifi was free and efficient. There was plenty of variety for breakfast.
If you need a hotel to stay by the airport without the European charm, this may fit your bill. They have a regular shuttle too and from the hotel and a wonderful breakfast including freshly baked breads and a nice variety of items. The room is a typical BW although the bathroom was nicely appointed. They do provide bottled water free of charge and the service was excellent. We ate at the on-site for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the dinner service - just not any atmosphere.
This was one of the nicest of any Best Western Hotels I have ever stayed at. The Facility was beautiful with all the cottages, picnic area. Hotel lobby exceptionally large and very well decorated. The breakfast was by far the best breakfast of any hotel I have ever stayed at including some upscale hotels.
The free shuttle service is superb, the rooms are nice and clean with Wifi and TV. Free bicycles are available to explore the area, and we enjoyed doing just that. Food is very good both for dinner, and the breakfast that come with the room.
We stayed here for two nights and took the train to Stockholm for sightseeing. The room was very clean and had a tea kettle for hot water. The room was very hot even though we turned down the heater and opened the window. Maybe the heat was coming from the room below us? The hotel consists of many buildings with 8 rooms each. Be aware that there is a narrow spiral staircase to get to the second level. It was a bit difficult to get our luggage up the stairs. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the burgers were very good. The breakfast had a huge selection of fresh foods. The hotel to airport shuttle left 1/2 hour and was on time. The only inconvenience that we experienced was that the wifi was incredibly slow most of the time we were there.
Ok low cost alternative to hotels close to the terminal. Surprisingly nice restaurant. Beware of rooms on second floor i you have much luggage; stairs are very narrow. Bus service to Arlanda every 30 minutes. (Not 10 as Arlandia.) You get what you pay for.
Shuttle service from airport every half an hour.. Good hotel.. Very convenient for a one night stay.. Good spread of breakfast.. Nice property.. Rooms very crammed but bed is really nice and cozy.. Will recommend if u have just a night to stay near the hotel..!! A tad bit expensive for the price it charges..!!
I had a great experience at this hotel. I flew into Stockholm in the evening. The hotel shuttle was right on time, the room was nice and clean. I met some great people in the lobby that night, the receptionist knew my name when I signed in which was a nice gesture. They immediately upon checking in signed me up for the hotel shuttle the next day which ran right on time as well. The only thing I can say that is at all negtive is just that this hotel is not really by any shops or markets or anything where you could have a choice to just grab something quick. There is a restaurant on the premisis though. Over all for a one night layover near the airport it was the perfect place to stay. The breakfast was excellent as well.
I spent all of maybe 5 hours in the Best Western. The only reason I chose to stay here was because I had an early morning flight. The shuttle bus was prompt, but due to construction, the bus stop at the terminal had no shelter. Waiting in the rain at 10 pm in April is no fun. The check in process was fast and the staff was friendly. All of the rooms are spread out over the property in small little 2-story cottages. Which means finding your room in the dark and in the rain was also not fun. My room held 2 surprises for me. In the closet hung a pair of men's pants and some dirty socks. And my room smelled like poop. I didn't investigate to see if those 2 things were related. I was so cold, wet, and tired that I ignored both of those things. There was also still food in the mini fridge. It really made me doubt how well my room had been cleaned. The sheets and towels were folded and appeared clean, so I went with it. Had I checked in 4 hours earlier or known I would get to sleep late, I'd probably had trudged back up hill in the rain to the front desk to get a clean room. I wouldn't stay here again.
small room, twin bed appeared to be a double, just 5 minutes from arlanda airport, good services, very good breakfast buffet, plenty to choose from nice cosy breakfast room, helpful lady behind the counter.
Fast check in, good beds, parking outside the room. Good breakfast. To bad we had to check out a day early and still pay for the last night. But overall, a good hotel that was really close to our seminar.
This is a very comfortable hotel if you have a very early flight leaving Arlanda or you arrive very late to Sweden. The breakfast is very nice and served from 04:00am. There is a shuttle bus taking you to the airport. The service is good and the staff are nice
I have stayed here a couple of times before departure and after arrival at ARN (Stockholm, Arlanda Airport). Very convenient and clean for the one night you need to rest after arrival or to prepare to depart the next morning. Restaurant is great for breakfast or dinner. Staff is very helpful and it is a quick drive to or from the airport.
I have seen much better three stars. This is old, crap breakfast and crap service. It is close to nothing so no choice for food. All is cheap. Maybe the ibis nearby is better (but not sure) All in all, a good picture of Sweden. I have seen much better three stars. This is old, crap breakfast and crap service. Good location, free minibar with salted nuts, water, chocolate. Waterboiler in the room so I got myself a cup of coffee. Free airport transfer to and from hotel, from hotel every half hour. Good breakfast. Really worth the money!
Great Location - they have complimentary pick and drop to the airport. Nice helpful staff who are always ready to help. Good breakfast which starts at 4:00am so that people can have breakfast before taking an early flight.
The room are fairly basic with all the usuals you would expect, the rooms are motel style, 4 rooms to a block 2up 2down. The central wigwam style reception/bar/restaurant area is lovely and well laid out with a warm open feel to it. The staff were great also.
Stayed here on 24th Jan 2016 and would say that the hotel is minimalist but has all that one could need for a short stop in order to catch your flights from Arlanda airport. The breakfast is nice and they have decent dinner options too. A vegetarian would also be taken care of! The staff is very warm and receptive of your needs. Best part of the stay is pick and drop facility from airport which is available every hour, all 24 hours!
Excellent stay, couldn't ask for more for a short flight layover. Close to the airport, free (spot on time) courtesy bus. Check in late at night within a minute, nice clean room, basic but what do you need?! Everything I needed and more, breakfast was amazing!! This was well worth they money staying here
Me and family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights. Room was small BUT Very very clean, from bed, bedding, sheets, bath towels etc, zero complaints. Breakfast was 4-9am and is included in room price. Staff friendly and shuttle was less than 10 mins to airport and it leaves every 30 mins. Even if flight is arriving late, the hotel staff said to just call and they would send a shuttle. Highly recommend!!
The hotel has separate buildings containing 8 units (2 lower, 2 upper on 2 sides). Thin walls so noisy. Basic single bed, desk and bathroom with small refrigerator. Breakfast buffet is small Swedish style foods with average choices of scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, potatoes, breads, yogurt with toppings. Bar has a few draft beers and full liquor choices. Restaurant had good food for dinner but not huge menu of items. Overall very average but not bad for a place close to the airport.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I had booked based on needing to be at the airport for a 9 am flight and not wanting to pay the high prices of the hotels physically at the airport. I took the Arlanda express train from Stockholm and then caught their convenient shuttle bus which stops at bus stop 7. The hotel is about 10 minutes away and is off the road and quiet. The rooms are basic but comfortable and roomy. The shower was nice and the bed comfortable. The refrigerator is stocked with water and chocolates. Breakfast is severed quite early so I had no problem eating and catching a 7:00 shuttle back to the airport. The breakfast was quite extensive and had a number of tasty options. The rooms are in small clusters of 4 to a building on 2 floors. This is convenient for driving as well us an easy walk from reception to the rooms.
It's hard to start with the best feature as this hotel has many... So, not in order of importance I can say: very early breakfast (can't remember if it is from 4 of 4:30) which helps if your flight is departing around 6:00; varied breakfast and excellent on site restaurant for dinner (I think the shrimp soup I had was the best soup I ever had). Another good thing is the way rooms are located: the hotel is a Group of buildings each one having 4 rooms and its own parking place so taht guests leaving early in the morning do not disturb 200 people at a time. Wi-Fi is super fast and service is warm and wecoming. I will definitely return if I am in the area again
Typically, if we have 1 or 2 nights, we will stay in Stockholm. However, this time, our flight arrived late in Arlanda and we leave the next morning. So we chose this hotel. Unlike some of the reviews, I have not had problems with the shuttle. The breakfast is adequate and it starts at 0400. As previously mentioned, the second floor rooms have a narrow winding staircase. This hotel fit our needs, and we would stay here again without hesitation.
A good place to stay before a flight at Arlanda. This property is interesting- it is a bunch of small buildings each with 4 rooms. The rooms were a good size, and included a fridge, and good WiFi. They offer a shuttle bus every 30 minutes, and breakfast begins at 4 a.m... If you have heavy or bulky luggage, ask for a ground floor room, as the second floor rooms all have a narrow winding staircase, that is difficult to haul big bags up. I left as breakfast was being set up, and did not have a chance to take it in, but it looked like a nice spread of traditional Swedish foods and fresh fruit , etc. Staff was friendly. It is a bit off the beaten track, and I don't think that there is too much else to do around there. It is a good place to stay while waiting for an Arlanda flight and the 10 minute airport ride is good
Rooms were quiet enough that airplane noise wasn't a problem. The hotel is far enough away that a long taxi ride or bus is required. The hotel bus only left ever 1.5h approx., and there was no warning given in the lobby just before the bus was to leave. Giving a warning would be helpful to ensure people don't have to take a taxi.
Great room, staff food, breakfast and shuttle from the airport and back to the airport. The staff was very helpful when we had problems checking in for our flight. Breakfast is excellent and the room was very clean. I would stay there again
The hotel is comprised of a dozen or more units with 4 rooms each -- two upstairs, and two downstairs, with metal spiral outsiide stairs. We were curious about such an unusual configuration and were told that this was originally a refugee center in the early 1990s. Regardless, Best Western has upgraded facilities, free wifi and refrigerator in the room. Room was small, but clean and serviceable. Breakfast was excellent with a large variety of foods available. We had dinner one evening which was good, but fairly limited menu and pricey. If you have a car, there are several other good restaurants about 2-3 miles away in Marsta. (We loved Vivamus restaurant.) There is also a free guest laundry and a pretty hiking trail nearby. It is about 5 miles from the airport but has free and reliable bus shuttle running every 30 minutes, and we rarely heard the planes. We recommend this hotel.
Robert and Jessika at the front desk were amazing in helping me check in. Here are my pros and cons with this place Pros: -Great place to stay for a quick layover. -Free shuttle to airport was a great accommodation and the proximity was really good. -Renting a bike from them was also a plus if you have extra time. I ventured to steninge castle but make sure you have extra clothes to wear because there are lots of hills and you will get a workout in. -wifi was reliable and available at all times in my room or in the lobby Cons: -Stayed on the second floor and I agree with everyone else about the narrow staircase. Good thing I didn't have too much heavy baggage. -Nearest store to buy drinks and snacks would be the gas station. If you turn left on the bigger road, follow it all the way down and you will see it on the right side. I'd say it was about a 15 minute walk. -obviously not close to Stockholm centre but if you are rating or choosing this place to be a tourist and to visit Stockholm, then you haven't done your homework because this hotel is meant to be near the airport.
I've been there for a congress and stayed for 7 days. You must walk 10 minutes to the nearest bus stop to go to a commuter train station and then travel for 40 minutes to the city center. And more 10 minutes to ach Stockholmsmassan, the convention center. The rooms are almost the same as containers and a small bed for the single occupancy. No linen sheet, just a cover bed and a pillow. You can stay in the floor level if you don't want to take your bags through a tiny rounded stair. On the other hand, the room above you will bring you some awfull level of noise. Breakfast is the same everyday with some fruits (kiwi everyday!), breads, cheese and salami. Eggs and yogurt with cereal complete the start of your day. Warm staff, easy check-in and out and there is some good mains at the restaurant, for dinner when you arrive late in the night, tired and there is nothing else nearby. Small bathroom with a shower that was broken and no one fixed it. Overall, a fair stay.
Let me tell you how much I hated Sweden. 21 year old girl by myself in a country where I couldn't speak the language. I was terrified. But thank God they speak English. I was there because my connecting flight had a 21 hr layover. I spent $100 on the cab (take the train from the airport to get to Stockholm, not a taxi. Then take the shuttle back to the hotel after you take a returning train back). Sweden was scary for me and expensive. I just came back from Moscow and I loved it. Anyways. This hotel made me feel safe. If I ever return to Sweden, I will stay here again for the food and shuttle service. It was really my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in!!
I would give this great hotel 5 stars apart from thin walls. The rooms are in groups of four, so if you have someone coming in late at night, you can get woken with doors closing and talking.. Other than that, this is a great place. Breakfast is fantastic, staff friendly, free bikes to ride around on the many nearby bike paths through forest and along country roads; efficient shuttle service every 30 minutes. The hotel website does not give clear bus instructions. Bus leaves from pickup point 7 at :10 and :40 past the hour. No need to call unless after midnight. Back to the airport from the hotel leaves on the hour and half hour. Trip takes 7 minutes. We had a stopover, so spent our one day in the city. We caught the shuttle to the airport and then another into town. Takes about 50 minutes door to door.
Clean, different , but realy nice. Not a " normal" kind of motel. The room are divided in blocks of 4. We had, a downstairs room. And that was an adventage. There is no elevator, if you are on the second floor you have to climb an open turn around kind of stairs. Don't do that with a big , heavy suitcase. Nice detail is, that they put an unbrlla in the room, because reception and restaurant are in a different building. We enjoyed a nice breakfast, with breads, deli meat and cheeses , several cereals , milk, yoghurt, good coffee. Pleasant experience. Will choose this hotel again, shuttle twice per hour.
