The property was easy to find as it was close to the freeway – However freeway noise was not an issue. There was ample convenient parking. We had registered online a few days before and our check in was and quick and efficient. Entering our room we found it to be neat, clean and did not appear to be “worn”. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. A breakfast was provided in a small room off of the front desk. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, coffee and expected condiments.

"Not again"

The bed sheets were old and did not smell clean. The comforter had disgusting stains on it and was filthy-there was black dust on the stitching lines! Obviously had not been washed in a very long time. The towels were tiny and old. The dark vinyl floor was dirty but the dark color hid the dirt. When I spilled a couple drops of water on the floor, the water turned black. Room smelled yuck. Lady at check-in was unplesant. I won't go back.

Great location good price , clean quiet and friendly, safeway and auto stores near by.Good Chinese restaurant near by.Great place for quick access south to avoid Redding traffic in the morning. We forgot a back pack and Manish the manager was very helpful to making sure it was shipped to me. I would recomend this hotel to anyone and We would stay there again.

"Showing it's age"

There is nothing wrong with this hotel, it's just older and nothing exceptional. Very small bathroom. On the other hand the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Not a bad place to spend the night but not a place you will want to spend a lot of time in either.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Very nice remodel of an already great hotel! As I was fishing with a guide and had to be on the water early the staff made breakfast available at 5:30am instead of the normal 6am! Talk about great service with a smile!

"Safety"

Bathroom very small. No grab bars to facilitate getting in/OUT OF TUB. No security chain lock on door Poor breakfast, burritos from local fast food, we chose not to eat them. Close to dollar store, gas station, eating, etc.

Excellent property next to a fantastic Mexican restaurant. Front desk manager Kevin is excellent, kind, and professional. There's a pool out back too that is super refreshing after a long drive. Will stay here again.

"Welcoming Experience"

I was presently surprised with the quality of the hotel. The exterior isn't fancy, but the room we had was wonderful. The decor was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The staff was able to accommodate my last minute request to have a ground floor room, and it was awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the Anderson/Cottonwood/Redding area.

"Perfect Overnight Spot between San Diego to Portland drive"

I will definitely return to this hotel the next time I make the drive from San Diego to Portland. The location is near the 5 and I loved that there is a gas station adjacent to the property for the quick fill up for the next long haul driving day. There is also a Safeway store and tons of fast-food (if you are into that) and local restaurants all just outside the door of your hotel room. Speaking of hotel room. I liked that I could park my car right in front of my room. I liked that there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. I felt safe there and the front desk person was extremely friendly to me. The room was basic and clean and for me, I would say rather spacious. The variety of the little breakfast buffet area was really helpful to start the morning out right.

This was my first experience booking with Best Western. It's a cute little hotel. The best part of my experience was with the staff. They were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was very nice, better than you would expect with the cost per night.

"Great fishing trip"

Stayed at the Best Western in Anderson while on a recent salmon fishing trip. Excellent trip and the staff at the BW were exceptional. Kevin was personable, funny and helpful. Very busy hotel and staff manages to keep it clean, safe and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

Heading north, just go on to the next big city, i was fooled by the other reviews.Going south williams has good options or colusa. Had dinner at the Puerto Vallarta, save your money and find a taquria or taco truck.

"Bed Bugs and dirty floor"

Was on the 1st floor , woke up with bug bites on my leg and back and sides. Since we had to leave, we reported it when we checked out. Still recovering. We had checked the top sheets before we slept on them based on other reviews but we got in late and were exhausted. Mexican Restaurant nextdoor was not that great but maybe we got in before they closed. Thought the 4.5 star from Tripadvisor would help us select a safe hotel. Hope others report honest opinions.

"Loved the Updated room & Gluten-Free Options for Breakfast!"

When we opened the door to our room, we were in awe. There was new flooring (no carpet to be scared of), newer updated furniture, and the walk-in closet/ sink area was very large. The bathroom with shower was a little small but it was fine. We felt like the room was clean. As for breakfast, it was probably one of the best ones we've been to because of the Gluten-Free items offered. Staff was very kind, especially in the breakfast area. Our cleaning person, 'Em', left a sweet note by the beds. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Anderson Inn!

T!his is a very small hotel. the rooms are old, but have been refurnished and are well kept. New furniture and excellent maintenance show. There is even a pool. The breakfast room is small, but the food is as good as any other Best Western I have stayed at, It was clean, pleasant, and the price was great

"In the area for a reception"

This hotel is understaffed and dirty (due to the relatively new blacktop in the parking lot. Our feet turned black from the floors in the room). Housekeeping never seemed to be on top of what needed to be replaced in the rooms.

VERY sketchy location, lobby smelled, room wasn't clean, bed linens were not all clean & tub control had visible mold growing in it. Security camera views at the registration desk should have given this away that it was not a great area off the freeway.

Extremely low toilet, very difficult for a tall or older person. The floor was a hard surface which had not been mopped in ages. My feet turned black after walking on it for a few minutes. I would not stay here again. Also the staff didn't know where the on-ramp to I Five even though is was one block away.

Low quality for Best western; This was definitely one of the cheaper Best Westerns I have stayed for the past year. Parking lot had just been resealed and the black from the seal was transferred from our shoes to the floor in the room. The breakfast area is way too small and was very crowded.

My wife and I stay here every year on our road trip to Vegas and have not been disappointed. I am at hotels at least 60 nights a year and for the price this place is what it should be. Clean, friendly, comfortable and a good place to stay for the night. A must is the food next door attached to the hotel. Good location to the I-5 and there are stores near by including a second hand/collectible store.

"SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE AND LAZY"

Reading these reviews i find it incredibly unlikely that these folks are being honest, While not super updated facility wise i witnessed a gentleman while working alone swap out a ac unit during the busiest part of a Friday, its a small hotel and the employees go out of their way to help and accommodate and it seems folks either are being lazy or just trying to fling mud online as EVERY and ANY issue i've ever had is dealt with promptly and professionally and just because you are mad that the reservation you made 2 days ago doesnt afford you an up or downstairs room that doesnt warrant you going off on what seem to be honest hardworking people, used to be in this industry so i understand, Keep up the superb customer care BW! be back soon!

"Needs improvement "

This BW could be improved upon. While the decor is decent the room had a couple of drawbacks (popcorn/acoustic ceiling, outdated sliding glass door difficult to open). The room had a nice large balcony overlooking a garden and pool. Upon check-in, you are given a card for a 10% discount at Pea Soup Anderson's nextdoor. We ate breakfast on one of the three tables outside by the pool (there is indoor dining, also). The staff had not kept up with wiping the bird droppings off the patio chairs. Little things like this shows a lack of attention to keeping a place attractive for guests.

"Filthy room"

It was bad enough that the laborers who slurried the parking lot used the room before us, leaving black hand and fingerprints on doors, walls, the toilet seat, etc. But, we pulled back the bedspread and the black tar was on the white comforter. What does that say about changing linens? The toilet seat was unscrewed on one side, there was no soap in the hand soap dispenser, and the tar on the floor made everything that touched it black. We were moved to another room that had fewer handprints, but just as much tar on the floor and upholstery. Plus, when we pulled back the bedspread on the first of the two queen beds, this comforter had a streak of blood on it. The fact the TV controller didn't work was the least of our issues. We have never stayed in such a dirty place. Would the cleaning staff really want to sleep in beds with blood and tar? See photos...

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room was larger than most. The room was updated, and adequate for our needs. The hotel was close to fuel, food, and the freeway. The front desk clerk was professional and pleasant.

Very spacious, clean renovated rooms with exterior doors which I like Adjacent to a little strip mall that has a couple of restaurants within walking distance and a major grocery store - all right a freeway exit. If travelling thru again, I will be staying here.

Very clean and comfortable. Grab bars in shower toilet area.Chair with ottoman and work desk.One of the best contiental breakfasts I have ever had at a motel.There is a great Mexican restaurant right next door.Located just off highway #5 in Anderson.

"Scary residents"

A very scary place to stay. It appears that some permanent residents now reside in this motel and one set next to our room made us feel very insecure. The people next to our room were having loud arguments, a very noisy child and their appearance was very scary. They smoked just outside of our room so we could not use the A/C/Heat system to warm the room for fear of getting a room full of cigarette smoke. We also had guests/permanents? above us that had a child stomping a lot across the floor that rattled the closet doors in our room. Yes, the noise stopped at 10pm but at 1:50am the next door person is having a loud discussion with room mate for 15 minutes outside of our room. These people have no consideration or respect for others. This location is right next to a strip mall, grocery and restaurant - not an ideal location. The room rate should be $49.99 and not $100+ based on location and clientele. I would not go back here again. Yes we managed to get some sleep in a comfortable bed - but!!!

This hotel was excellent! It was clean and comfortable. I know this will sound funny but every single outlet and light switch worked. You know how irritating it is when the outlet that is in the right spot for your cell phone doesn't work or the lamp won't turn on? not here. The breakfast was exceptional, the cheese omelet I had was better than a restaurant's. The coffee was very good. The staff is very friendly. There is a Safeway and a couple of restaurants within walking distance, or call Westside pizza, they are excellent and they deliver.

We stayed at the Best Western Anderson Inn for 30 days because of being evacuated from our home because of the Camp Fire. We were extremely happy with our stay. Sean, Thomas, Kevin and the ladies that work there were so friendly and understanding of our situations. We were comfortable and our room felt "cozy". Great breakfast every day with everything you would want to eat and drink. The staff made us feel like family and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed one night at the Best Western Anderson inn in Anerson, CA nice recently remodeled room , but bare wood (Lamenant) floors were cold, under window Heater gave us problems not keeping with thermostat. Hot items in Breakfast room wer luke warm to cold, & had apparently been sitting for a while maybe up to an hour.

THEY CANCELLED OUR PRE-PAID RESERVATION!! We had made our reservation through Hum, by Verizon, for Best Western in Anderson, California. Then we found out that we needed to move up our reservation by a day, so we contacted Best Western directly. It took Tom a moment to find our reservation, but then he said fine and gave us the corresponding Best Western confirmation number. I did ask for a ground level room and reminded him that we would arrive late due to the amount of miles we were traveling. He said “no problem” and that “all was set”. When we arrived, our room had been given away and no rooms available! The office clerk said they tried to reach us, but failed and so he cancelled our reservation. HE LIED!! We have cell phones that show missed calls and we can access our emails as well. No attempts were made. Also, we arrive shortly after 7:00 pm – not so late to cancel our pre-paid reservation. The clerk told my husband that it was not prepaid (oh no? It showed up on our credit card and thankfully we received a refund through our credit card company) and that is what we get for not booking through Best Western. My husband was so upset he could not think straight. We did locate a room elsewhere close by, so there was no reason that Best Western could not have sent the other party without a reservation to another location. We contacted the Best Western Corporate Office and found out that it was their policy to cancel a reservation if they had not heard from the party and after trying to contact them. Well, no recourse from them, no sympathy, no regret. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!! Our suggestion is NO to Best Western. Margie and Roger

This was a great hotel for an overnight stop. With a large clean room, updated decor, a good room layout, and vinyl floor with the look of wood planks, it was most pleasant and our room was totally silent all night for sleep in comfortable beds. The HDTV channels did not fill the full width of the TV screen and were cut off at the sides. It was probably an easy fix from the TV settings, but it would be nice to have it properly adjusted upon arrival. The complimentary breakfast had good variety. The scrambled eggs were a better choice than the prepared omelettes, which were hard. A Safeway grocery store and a Dollar Tree are an easy walk directly across the street.

We found alot bugs alot on the bathroom and bedroom floors. Also found another near clock radio. Maintenance said same proby with other nearby businesses. They believe fires are bring them above ground. Only received apology, no compensation offered.Pet friendly area, although green grass was the size of an area rug.Check in front desk went the extra mile and helped take bags to room. No elevator. House keeping left a welcome note. Nice touch.

We stayed in Anderson for just one night on our way north and requested a King Bed room. It was a good size room and bathroom (not sure if we clicked on something but we got an accessible/disabled room on the ground floor). It was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was included. The breakfast room itself was quite small and I felt the need to keep dodging people while I was waiting for my toast. I should mention the gentleman who checked us in was really lovely and helpful and gave us several recommendations for dinner nearby, one of which we picked and enjoyed. Plenty of parking. Good reliable clean quiet hotel.

I arrived later in the day and had booked the room through Priceline. There were some issues with the room I had thought I had booked and Thomas was incredibly helpful to resolve any issues with my reservation through priceline! He offered my 3 kids juice while I was talking with him in the lobby, changed the lobby television to a station my children would enjoy while he helped resolve the simple issue. He was incredibly kind and helpful! Even my 6 year old daughter told me, "We were really blessed to have Thomas here to help us!" She was correct, he made our stay exceptional!

Loved it! Great staff. Room was large and amenities were great! Loved Heated pool and Spa! Work out room is spacious. Everything was neat and clean! Wifi worked great compare to my last stay back in October. This place has completely turned around in last few months.

"Dirty bug filled rooms with TV's that don't work"

Was planning on staying here from 6/7/18 till 6/10/18 to attend my grandmothers funeral. Our first room had a TV that didn't work (important for little kids), manager tried to fix it unsuccessfully so he moved us to a different room. That room had a TV that would not turn off. Had to leave the TV all night. It was late, we got all settled in and went to sleep. The next morning, we noticed several bugs in the sheets, on the walls, ceiling, carpet, and bathroom. I killed as many as I could find and we left for the funeral services. Came back later in the day and there were more. There were several other family members staying at the same hotel that had the same experience. One of our family members even received several bites. We asked to be let out of our reservation for the remaining time and for help to be moved to another hotel. We also asked to be refunded for the one night we stayed. The on-site manager tried to help as much as he was allowed but he wasn't allowed to do much. They offered us other rooms within the same hotel and a 10% discount on our first night. They did let us out of our reservation where we went to a Fairfield Inn that was much cleaner! We are disappointed we were not refunded for our dirty rooms with crappy TV's. Usually when I travel, I stay at Best Westerns. But not any more the only good thing about this stay was the onsite manager was apologetic and wanted to help more but his hands were tied.

Stayed overnight on our way south. Room was good and the bed was very comfortable. Both the night and day desk was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast area was well stocked with a variety of foods. A reasonably priced alternative to more expensive hotels in Redding.

Tom was extremely helpful to coordinate rooms for our large motorcycle group. His communication was top notch along with his follow through. We came in on a Friday night and had to be on the road by 6:30am on Saturday. Breakfast normally would not have been available until 7am but Nick saw to it that we had breakfast before we left. he had it ready for us by 5:30 am. That's above and beyond.

The first time I stayed at this hotel it was fine, but this time it was not. The floor had sticky spots, one of the chairs was also sticky, and there were handprints on the mirror. I tried cleaning the chair, but that didn't work and I just ended up using the other chair instead. I'll give them one more chance because they are very convenient for me, but then they are out.

Stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding in the area. We were there for the Cool April Nights Car Show but our room was upstairs and nice and quiet. Checked in with "Mr. Awesome"...aka Thomas and he gave us the lay of the land and we enjoyed our stay. Clean, good showers, good sized TV and nice beds. Good breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again.

"Clean Room! Nice Staff! Decent accommodations! Stayed in ADA room"

The good: Clean room, very helpful and friendly front desk staff, nice water pressure, no loud noises, decent breakfast with most of the options you find at hotel breakfast -included a waffle bar and several types of juice. The acceptable: The blanket was pilling, obviously had some use (but seriously perfectly clean), the vending machine took my money but did not give me a bottle of water (but the front desk guy apologized and gave me three bottles of water, so cool) The bad: I don't have anything bad to say about it, it was a perfectly decent room, very clean, and I had a good night sleep and good shower before leaving. The room had: support/safety bars in bathroom, shower chair (NOT a roll in shower), moveable shower attachment, hair dryer, coffee maker, a huge closet, fridge, tv, king size bed, sitting chair, side tables, a desk & chair.

Main problem - the A/C did not work. Run once then not run again after power off/on. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Very convenient off I-5. I would stay here again but next time I'll check the A/C first.

Lost reservation, unaccomodating staff, never again. My son had to be at a tournament the following day, people were yelling in the parking lot and staff had no control over the situation. Room was nothing special, basic, breakfast was simple, needs more fresh fruit.

After a week of camping in chilly Nor Cal in winter, it was great to rest in a heated room and have a bed with our puppies. The bed was not the most comfortable, but I was so glad they take pets and give a AAA discount that I could have slept on a rock and still been grateful. They forgot to take food out of the fridge that was left by the prior guest. If the bed was more comfortable I def would have rated excellent.

As wildland firefighters, we stayed here on our return trip. The level of courtesy and customer service rivals that of the high end hotels that you would find in bigger cities. With an early departure thet night staff accommodated us by getting the breakfast for us early. I would definitely recommend this particular hotel to the rest of the fire fighting community.

This hotel has the nicest staff, from front counter to the rooms. I have never been denied a room and if any problems came up they took care of me every time. Food in the morning is great, restaurant service is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Redding area. I have been a regular customer for the last Three years, I am a Diamond member and I wont stay any where else. Thank You Best Western.

Good convenient location between major highways, with Major stores/shops right next door including many fueling stations and plenty of restaurants as well. Lassen Park to the East, Redding and Shasta Lake to the North and the Trinity Alps and more lakes to the West--a Fisherman's paradise! (Located very close to the Sacramento River as well!)

Traveled from Portland OR to Phoenix AZ. For the first night we selected Best Western Anderson Inn. Thomas was the staff member on duty and he was extremely helpful, even delivered two bottles of water to our room. We travel with a small Shih Tzu and found the room clean and to our liking. We would recommend this motel to our fellow travelers.

Such friendly staff here at this hotel - especially Tom at the front desk (Mr. Awesome). We made sure to come back after staying here a few months ago. Entry to the hotel is easy and convenient and it's right next to a gas station, supermarket, and restaurants.

Hotel was fairly easy to get to off the freeway. Nice Mexican restaurant next door. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. We wanted a king but ended up with two queen beds which was okay. Shower was really good.

"Great Hotel to stay in Anderson"

We needed a hotel in Anderson while in town for a birthday party. Upon reviewing the rating on Trip Advisor, and reading all of the great reviews, we booked at the Best Western we were not let down. Upon check in, we were greeted by Kevin who was friendly, efficient, speedy but not hurried, an all-around 10! The hotel is located right off the freeway with a restaurant next door and a strip mall on the other side of the parking lot with, among other things, a donut shop and a Little Ceasars Pizza. There was plenty of free parking, and our room looked newly remodeled. The room was clean, smelled nice, and we had a hand written note on our nightstand. Another plus was that there were numerous visible outlets around the room. Not only in the lamps, but next to the beds. This is always a pet peeve of mine as we often have laptops and phones that need to be plugged in and we are always struggling to find the outlets hidden behind beds, or under dressers, or no outlets at all and we are resigned to unplugging the table lamp and alarm clock to get enough outlets for all of our devices. Breakfast was your usual complimentary breakfast, but what made it stand out from other hotels is the attentiveness to the food and the eating area. There was one employee in the area replacing food and utensils, as well as cleaning the tables with spray cleaner, not just wiping them off. When Thomas, AKA Mr. Wonderful was not attending customers at the front desk, he helped the worker in the dining area with the cleaning and re-stocking. The two of them were efficient, speedy, thorough. Check out was just as wonderful, I imagine that's where Thomas got the name! Friendly, efficient, speedy, intelligent, pleasant. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we are in the area and I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a hotel in Anderson or surrounding areas.

The hotel is ok. Be prepared to bring your luggage up the stairs if get a second story. Room entrance is outside.... might not work for some people during rainy autumn or winter days. Breakfast is ok. Room is a little small. It would be crowded if all of the guests showed up. Average hotel.

The rooms were nice and the service was excellent. There was a handwritten note (I'm assuming from the management) welcoming us when we came into the room as well as when a very minor issue occurred there was a very nice note left.. It gave us such a very welcome feeling like they really cared and took the time to write notes. Everything else was terrific as well. Highly recommend.

The staff at check-in were prompt and courteous. It was easy to check-in. I opted for the express-check out, so checking out went smoothly. The room was clean and looked well-kept. This was my first stay at the Best Western Anderson Inn and it was well worth the high marks it gets. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, and the eggs for breakfast were the best I've had on I 5. Very easy access on and off the freeway, and located next to a shopping center with a market add to its convenience.

Afgter a long drive from Oregon, we found the Best Western Anderson Inn to be a welcome stop. We were greeted by a friendly, helpful desk clerk who made check-in easy. Our pet-friendly room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The in-room Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. We slept comfortably, and enjoyed the complementary breakfast (with a very nice selection of hot and cold items). Express check-out made our departure fast and easy. I highly recommend the Best Western Anderson.

This is our second stay at this BW and the staff delivered once again. Not a fancy place, but location to I-5 for access is excellent, and amenities including gas, groceries, food and others are walking distance, which makes this very convenient. Rooms are fairly big, clean, and well taken care of. The overall property seemed well managed, and staff were very nice, specifically Thomas (Mr Awesome), who seemed to go out of his way to make sure we having a great time and enjoying our stay. We had motorcycles and trailers, so the large parking lot was a bonus. Free breakfast is standard fair, nothing elaborate, but saved us all $5-$10 each morning, nice. Pool looked spotless, although we did not swim, but enjoyed hanging out after a day of riding at the patio tables. Look forward to another stay next year, thanks to all at the Anderson BW!

I am impressed the way this hotel keep up with the Best Western standards. Extremely clean and staff is so wonderful and joyful and acommodating. Breakfast is the best. Rooms are spacious and very very clean with all the amenities you required for overnight or longer stay. Very peaceful even though it's next to I-5.

This was a very clean place to stay. We will definitely stay there again. The room was very clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was adequate. We were able to check in late with no problem and no reservation. If you find yourself traveling down Hwy 99, make sure you eat at the Grizzly Rock Cafe which is right next door to the motel and then spend the night there. You won't be sorry.

Easy to find and conveniently next to the Safeway. The rooms were adequate, clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were good. Check-in was fast and friendly. Beware of the intersection between the Safeway and the motel. Traffic seems to come from all directions.

Heading North or South this is a convenient stop off of I-5. Rooms are adequate, clean and have enough electrical plugs for today's electronics. Staff friendly and courteous. Breakfast could be better as it is not up to the BW standard. Value is decent. Good Mexican Restaurant next door may or may not be affiliated with the hotel. Food there is good.

I would definitely stay here again. It was just an overnight stop on our way to Oregon. We decided to stay here instead of Redding and glad we did. The room was inexpensive, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room was clean (this being the most important for me). I liked the room layout too, with a separate bathroom (shower and toilet) from the bathroom sink/counter area. It gave us plenty of room to get ready in the morning, with two adults and one child. We had the queen room with two beds, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Great deal for the price.

At the last minute we decided to come visit family and called the Anderson BW and was able to get a room. The room was very clean and well stocked. We had myself, my daughter and her two young children the first night and added 2 other grandchildren the 2nd night. Hotel was great about bringing a roll-a-way bed. Also the breakfast was good, but wished it opened earlier as we needed to leave early the first morning, but Jack's doughnuts is in the same parking lot so that worked.

We did our research for a decent hotel halfway from Sacramento to Ashland, OR and went with this one. It was fewer points than the Redding ones, and it had very good reviews. Check-in to this freshly-pained, done-over two-story motel was easy-peasy. The pool area was almost empty, with lots of chaises and a good-sized, warm pool for laps. The room was a good sized, well-equipped for the business traveler, easy for couples and clean. The bed was fine. The blackout curtains did not quite close all the way, but the aircon was fine. The Mexican restaurant next door was great, and one very good reason to choose this hotel! They even offer 15% off coupons for guests to use. The morning breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, waffle station, cereals etc, but they are too small for the number of guests eating there. Not sure if outdoor tables/chairs could be added somewhere close to the lobby, but the comfy chairs area at least should be replaced by more functional tables and chairs. Easy checkout, good prices. The one area for improvement would be to work on the charm factor... think artwork, hipster retro, techy appeal, whatever you need.

An 8 day trip, and this is by far the best place we stayed. You will feel like you and your stay really matter to this large chain. Spacious, comfortable, CLEAN rooms right down to the remote. A staff that has your comfort in mind, as their number 1 priority. Location, WOW, Ez walk to small shopping center, mini mart, and gas station . The very best place I have stayed in several years.

Bedding was clean and fresh, bed could be better but not too soft. Room and property as a whole was clean and up to date. Staff was very accommodating. Gluten free options at breakfast and plenty of options for both my husband and I.

This was a very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was 115 degrees when we arrived and air worked great. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in a hotel! We will definitely stay here if we are ever in this area again.

"Hot outside, cool inside"

I stayed here in the hot time of the summer. 112 degrees outside. Nice and cool inside, The downside was that the air conditioning unit was of the type that did not shut off. Only the compressor cycled on and off, hence, it put out noise all night long. There was a setting that may have allowed it to turn off, but it would not go to that setting. The room was nice, nice size. There are two stories, and no elevator. The towels were on the scratchy side. The shower was more than adequate, but the whole bathroom could use a makeover. The tile is getting long in the tooth. There is a shampoo, shower soap, and conditioner dispenser in the bathtub/shower area. The internet was adequate for most things. Posting photos was a little slow. Breakfast was on the spartan side, but would suffice for most folks. However, the room is very small. Only 4 tables and 2 chairs at a small bar. There is a great Mexican restaurant literally steps from the motel. Mid priced and huge portions.

My husband spent two nights in Anderson for some rest and relaxation. This was the first time we stayed here in Anderson. We where extremely surprised at the cleanliness and great service. We would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family! Great value for the money.

Great customer service, clean, A/C works great, breakfast is good, beds and pillows are comfy, and it's not centered directly in Redding which is nice. Lots of shopping around it and a gas station right around the corner!

"Staff Rocks"

Employees here rate 5. Unfortunately, Owners allow sofa beds that are broken and are unuseable. Bed in need of new mattresses unless you like springs poking you all night. Also, Best Western's are known for pillowtop mattresses and not mattress pads. Owners rate 2, lowering the overall rate of 3. Owners also hand out a paper stating to please rate us a 9 or 10, because anything else is considered a 0. Really, sounds unethical. These owners, i am told, may own to many motel/hotels to keep them in decent shape.

Another great stay in Anderson. Thomas is always friendly and very helpful. Another awesome dinner next door at Puerto Vallarta too! I'm glad I found this gem!! If you find yourself traveling on I-5 in Anderson, it's a must stay.

All staff were extremely friendly. Beds were too soft for me. Big stain on the carpet. Otherwise, room was clean. Breakfast area was pretty small...only 4 small tables. Food selection was good. Internet had to be re-connected each time it was used. Good access to restaurants and local sights and freeway.

The Best Western is right off highway 5 - great access to the highway. Room was good sized and very clean. The split pea green walls were not a favorite. Bathroom was super small. Wifi was quick and a/c functioned well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The major negative from our point of view was the breakfast. Sugary yogurt, sugary cereals, sugary juices, sugary almond milk - can't understand why providing a few choices that are on a healthier plane never seems to be a priority in hotels. We had some scrambled eggs and left.

Smaller size than we thought for 2 adults and 2 kids. We would stay again, and I would recommend my friends as well. Very nice location to get to everything we need. Gas, Groceries, Water falls, National park,etc.... It worked out pretty good.

We where on a road trip and looking for a one night stop. Thomas who was on the front desk was excellent, giving us a great room location and the AAA rate was excellent as well. He even came out to the parking lot and offered to help me with our bags up to the 2nd storey room.

"A Solid Choice For A Stay"

We were traveling from San Diego area to Grants Pass and chose Anderson as a spot to spend the night. We found the BW Anderson Inn as a good value for the money. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The handwritten note waiting for us in our room was a simple touch and very nice to see. The room was clean and comfortable. It also felt nicely spacious. The hotel shares a parking lot with a restaurant, donut shop (and other shops) and a gas station. Plus, there's a grocery store across the street. From a convenience standpoint, all we needed was walking distance from our room. Our air conditioner made a bit of a buzzing sound besides the normal hum (that we like to use as "white noise"). But that's the only negative I can come up with. The breakfast was done well, good variety and well maintained. Again, the staff was friendly and helpful. This is a good place to stay. Tip: If you're staying on the second floor, there is no elevator. Either request a first floor room or get there early enough to get the first floor. Disclosure: I am a BW Rewards member, but that didn't effect my review, except that I know the brand well enough to compare.

Just off the I-5 south of Redding,CA easy access and remarkably quiet. Pool area is well furnished and never crowded (probably my 5th stay there). Reasonably priced and offers a large well presented breakfast.

Traveling with small dog and the room was much nicer than we typically get. A lot of hotels put you in a dirty smelly room that they rent out to people staying with pets. Many hotels seem to believe pet owners are irresposible and their dog will destroy the room.

105* when I arrived. Had reservation, check in was fast got to room and air conditioner had been turned on and room was very comfortable. The last place I stayed , the room was 107* just like outside. I travel to towns to pickup organ donors. Over half my time I'm on the road. Why pay more? This is a fair priced well ran place.

"Great, clean, comfortable place"

We were traveling with 4 kids, and managed to fit everyone into a double room. The room itself was very nice. The place was clean. The internet speed was good. The only thing that was lacking was that the TV picture looked a bit weird, like it was zoomed in or something. I couldn't find any way to fix that with the remote.

We needed a motel that had decent wifi for a night for a family visit. This BW fit the bill. The wifi was dependable and the breakfast was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable if overly firm and the room was clean if modest.

Travelled with a group, called the hotel 1 day prior to arrival to check on reservation & ask a couple of questions about amenities. I spoke to Jennifer--who was amazing! There was a huge error with our group reservation (made by an ex-manager who's no longer with the company); Jennifer was helpful and accommodating. She corrected the error and provided outstanding Customer Service. Kudos! The room was nicely appointed, with a fridge & a microwave. In-room coffee as well. Clean, comfortable bed. A couple of things to note: this is a 2-story hotel with no elevator, so if you have trouble with stairs you need to request a room on the bottom floor. Also, all of the in-room toiletries (shampoo, soap, lotion) are in those wall-mounted dispensers--so if you have an aversion to them, be sure to bring your own toiletries. (I personally don't like them). There's a Mexican restaurant & a gas station next door to the hotel, and a shopping center with a grocery store, discount store & several restaurants within a 1/2-1 block walk across the parking lot. The hotel itself is right next to the I-5, very convenient on/off highway access. Also, the rooms are situated in a manner that you don't hear any traffic noise from the freeway. Definitely would stay here again--and THANK YOU, JENNIFER!

Lots of shopping. Great pool but small. There's an excellent restaurant next door. We had such a good time. The hotel is easy to get to. Rooms are big and comfy. Great spot right off of I-5. Will stay here again with no problem. Shopping at the Anderson outlet mall made easy!

"Solid stop if you're driving through on I-5."

We came in with a group - motorcycles - 20 of us. Check-in was fine considering we filled up the whole lobby. The room was clean, and simple. No fancy frills. Just a clean place to stay. The management was gracious to let our group convene at the pool in the evening so we wouldn't disturb others. The breakfast of hot, and good. The one thing that our grouped loved was the cinnamon waffles!! Loved!! Now the one thing that needs to be mentioned. I dropped a riding scarf that was turned into the lobby. I called at our next stop and asked if they had found it. They actually had. Score! Not so fast. I asked that they put my name on it and we would drop by on our way back. 17 motorcycles stopped for me, to pick up my scarf, only to have it gone again. They couldn't find it. No one knew what happened to it, although they said they remember seeing it. That's my only real beef with this place. They had it, I asked that they put my name on it, gave the exact date we'd stop by and pick up, and gone. This is minor, considering it has nothing to do with the actual stay, well sort of it does... just don't leave anything there.

"The worst"

I visited this establishment after a long drive from Chula Vista,ca for business on my way home. I had called the "hotel" about two hours prior and spoke to a marykate? As an elite member of the best western rewards program she made sure I got the best room and her best rate. Thinking I would be speaking with the bubbly and personable gal on the phone I knew this was the place for me. Unfortunately I was met with what I later was informed was a very new and to my standard unprofessional employee. I believe his name was Todd. When I walked into the check in center it smelled very stale of cigarettes and the tv in what was supposed to be an eating area was irritatingly loud. "Todd" couldn't find my reservation, and even after 15 minutes of him searching he had not tried to compensate or even offer me a cup of coffee! The whole place looked out of order with dirty rags in random places. Although irritated I kindly asked to speak to the young lady I had booked the room with, when I was met sharp words of " she's not here and hopefully won't be back" I've never been faced with this much difficulty or unprofessional attitude in all my years with best western. The best part was leaving my check in process and going to my room.....that had feces in the toilet and a bed as hard as a rock. When I called the lobby and relayed my issues to the young man his response was, the housekeeping are all gone, you can come get a business card for.the manager...it had the same number as the hotel directly. This "best western" really needs to be evaluated.

"FRIENDLY AND CLEAN"

I am a construction worker and have stayed here for the last 6 weeks Sunday through Friday. I have stayed in 6 different rooms and the quality is about the same in all of rooms. The breakfast is a good breakfast for the rate you pay, and it is clean. The beds are good beds but it takes me a few days to get used to them.( I do have a high end bed at home ).All of the staff is very friendly and helpful and go above and beyond your normal service. thanks to Thomas, Mary Kate, Doug and the rest of the staff. I would bring my kids and grandkids here anytime.

"tops in the north valley"

The rooms are clean, convienent and comfortable, especially the beds. The staff is most accomidating and cordial. The resturant nest to the hotel offers a discount for guests of the hotel. I drive a truck for a freight company and have odd hours. Staff has always made my stay rach week a most pleasant one. Thomas always makes sure I am comfortable.I stay here two nights each week for business. I couldn't be more pleased with the Best Western Anderson Inn.

"Run down facility"

The facility is run down and dirty. The sheets on the bed were so old and worn out that there were rips in several places in them. This shoud be a 60$ a night at most motel and not the 120$ I had to pay. It does not come up at all to what I have come to expect from BW.

"Very Good Best Western"

Located near the Anderson Shopping Center, this Best Western provides high quality rooms, service, a decent breakfast and access to all kinds of restaurants, bars and shopping. Just off the I-5 freeway with easy access to the hotel. The hotel shares a large parking lot with other shops and restaurants; parking can be tight during normal daytime business hours. However, the rooms are spacious and quiet.

"Good for a Best Western"

We stayed one night in the area for a wedding, It was good for a Best Western. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a good selection (eggs, sausages, pastries, waffles, cereal, and juices). Parking was plentiful since it's in a plaza along with other shops.The fridge in the room was larger than expected. There's a microwave. The room was also very large. I also liked the fact that the toilet/bath was separate from the sink. However, the toilet/bath room was very small. It was barely large enough to stand up in to dry off. Also, the sink shared an area with the "closet" for hanging clothes and there's no doors. The set-up was just a little unexpected. It only became an issue when we needed to change and our kids wanted privacy, but the bathroom was too small to actually change in. We were also disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance. I wish the check-in clerk had told us that at check in. The kids had changed into their swim clothes and gone to to the pool, only to come back due to the sign. Advance warning at check-in would've been nice. Otherwise a good stay. What we've come to expect from Best Western. Probably would stay here again when visiting family.

I've stayed in motels for many years now due to my type of work. Anderson may be a small town but the room and service was definitely not small. Very happy with my stay. I would highly recommend this as first choice in that city.

Anderson Inn, CA is a completely remodeled motel that has gorgeous rooms and in one section of the motel, they allow pets. The pet rooms are amazedly clean. My pet could pick up scent but we could not. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. But above all, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. We love this Inn. Courteous front desk staff but too talkative. Great room , very clean and well kept, fresh remote, a handwritten welcome note in room, good complementary breakfast with good coffee. Parking close to room. I would stay here again. We had 2 rooms and same experience.

We stayed here on our way south for one night. The check in was friendly and efficient. we got a great recommendation for the restaurant next door and a discount coupon. great choice and you could walk there without getting wet. We have stayed here before and would stay here again. The location is convenient - close to Safeway, outlet stores and Walmart, a donut shop, Humble Joe's Diner, and there is now a Mexican restaurant adjoining the motel. The desk clerk was friendly and helpful at check-in, the room was clean and comfortable with decent amenities. Only minor negative was the breakfast - not lots of choices; precooked eggs in warming pan and greasy bacon for hot items (plus make-your-own waffle) - nothing horrible, just kind of blah. Everything else was very good.

Walls are super thin, heard people in neighboring rooms and walking past room all night. Carpet had big stain right inside door. We found out in the morning, we were in the middle of a family memorial celebration. Wish we had been told that when we checked in and asked for a quiet room. Breakfast selections were gone when we stopped in at 830.

Second time at this hotel, The rooms are clean and the housekeeper left a nice note welcoming us to the hotel. Our room had lots of room a comfortable bed, micro wave, fridge and a good size flat screen tv. So many channels on the TV it was overwhelming. The restaurant is Mexican themed and is part of a local chain of restaurants. As a guest of the hotel we got a 15% discount off of the check. The food was very good and the service was great.

Our stay was okay. On Saturday we had a great breakfast but on Sunday the staff were too busy to be bothered to have breakfast items available for guests. We had to ask to have some available. The tables were also not cleaned!! We had interrupted a conversation with a couple of the staff. No a happy camper on Sunday!!!

Sort of typical Best Western, offering all the usual amenities. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast well done, and the room clean and fully stocked. As this was an overnight stay on our way from Portland to Santa Rosa, we did not make use of any of the physical amenities. We would stay here again.

"money saving alternative"

If you plan to stay in the general Redding area and do not need to be right close to downtown Redding, consider this hotel as a good alternative. We were able to get rates about $35 less than a comparable Best Western in Redding. Yet we had the same amenities, access to enough restaurants and services and quick access to the freeway. You can spend your $35 at the factory outlet and pat yourself on the back. Rooms here are larger than usual, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the usual middle range motel fare served in a pleasant room. No elevator.

"New stop when heading south"

On another trip to Sacramento. Normally, we stop on the second night in Redding. This time, we decided to go a bit farther. While having lunch in Redding, I called and made a reservation. When we got to the hotel, we were treated like missing friends. The lady at the desk seemed genuinely happy to see us. The room was great. Looked and smelled clean. The place was quiet and we both slept like logs. Dunno what "enhancements" a previous reviewer thinks are needed. I sure can't think of one. This will probably bee our normal stop-off on these trips from here on.

If you have a need to stay in Anderson, there are other locations of better value. Place is in need of enhancement. As for Anderson, it has a great (hard to find) bookstore named Cal's. Lots of thrift shops and swap meets if that is your thing. Very small bedroom community to Redding. Very hot in the summer, pleasant in spring and fall.

This is our second experience at this hotel. The rooms are large and very clean, well kept. Nice refrigerator with a small freezer, helpful to us as we travel with snacks, fruit, drinks. Staff all seemed welcoming and helpful. Will stay again!

The room was ok it looked and smelled clean. The only real complaint I had was the lady at night who checked us in. She had no customer service skills. It also seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. The check in process was probably one of the longest I have ever had and it was already prebooked and paid through expedia.

Very clean room and helpful staff. Nice hot breakfast. We brought our dogs and they were treated well and given treats by the lady at the front desk. Small grassy area for the dogs to use, with a large open field next to the motel for longer walks. There are a couple places nearby to get a quick meal. A great place to stay--and we will return for sure!

Very clean and nice decor. The room I stayed in appeared to be updated. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast had a wide variety of items to choose from. Only downside was doors to rooms face parking lot of strip mall. Can be noisy at times.

Pleasantly surprised by this location. It is easily accessible from the freeway, the staff is fantastic and the rooms are very nice. Our kids wanted to check out the pool and it was also very clean and they had fun. We plan to stay at this location again next time we are in the area.

This was a nice accommodation with easy access on and off the freeway. Hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was nicely presented. Our bed was very comfortable with nice linens. The restaurant we had dinner in was very good with large portions and was just down from Safeway in the same location.

Very nice property that is up to date, clean, and has lovely staff. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The pool was very clean. Not far off the freeway but never heard any traffic noise from the room. Breakfast was a full breakfast!! Excellent stay for us and we will return.

stayed here for one night during the trip to Lassen national park. Rooms are basic and good. Clean, comfortable. They had microwave, nearby food joints and grocery store. Complementary breakfast was basic-waffles, tortillas, sandwich, and other stuff- but very good. The sweet lady in charge of the reception desk makes the breakfast, she was very friendly. Overall very good budget stay. Nearby motels are little cheaper than this, but given that it is Best Western chain, its understood. Recommended.

Great location, close to freeway, reasonable restaurants surround and there is a Safeway across the street if you chose to eat in your room. Greeted by name at the front desk and now staying weekly. Great breakfast options..make your own bk burrito. I now stay there weekly for business. Always accommodating. New Great Mexican Restaurant opening next door. Lots to do in the area. Rooms have been updated and are very quiet. Kudos to the staff. Love Brittany and Mathew who are so friendly and take time. Will continue to stay weekly with them. Wish they had tea bags in the room but you can always grab one for the dining room the night before. Hand written note in room welcoming me and wishing me a nice stay beat a chocolate on the pillow

After reading some of less than favorable reviews, I want to set the record straight. When we arrived, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised to see how new the Best Western Anderson Inn appeared. We were greeted by a very pleasant staff member (I wish I would have gotten her name), who got us checked in and gave us several restaurant recommendations. The room (one king bed) was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The included breakfast was nice and offered breakfast burritos, waffles, cereal, etc. If you are expecting the Ritz, you will be disappointed; however, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and affordable room I would highly recommend the Anderson Inn.

Happy we pulled over for the night here. Very clean, modern room. Loved that it had a small freezer with the fridge. We were able to refreeze our freezer packs for our cooler for the next day's drive. A written note welcoming us on our nightstand was a nice touch! Would highly recommend.

I get in BW website and book the hotel but forgot to adjust the correct date of arrival, realized the mistake, I call the hotel right away and they taking care of the mistake instantly !!!!! Very professional service they have. Even though this hotel does not offer many other amenities outside but the inside is excellent: very comfort beds, strong air conditioning, clean room. I definitely recommend my friend and family to stay in this hotel next we go on the trip again.

"Glad we only stayed one night"

Sort of depressing. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was dark and stuffy and sad, and the bathroom smelled faintly of pee. The breakfast was ok, although their suggested breakfast burrito would have worked better if they had a microwave rather than relying on a semi-warm tortilla and scrambled eggs to melt the cheese.

We have stayed at the Anderson Inn several times over the past 5 years. We have always felt like family. With the new management it no longer feels that way. We would have stayed somewhere else but we like the breakfast and this time it was not very good. Cold, no selection, the coffee was even bad.

I stayed two nights and had a nice ground floor room with two queen beds. WOW, I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the beds were! The room was clean and spacious with a good refrigerator, table and chairs. The staff was pleasant. The facility has a pool and a breakfast area (I didn't use either - however had I had the time I would have used them).

Wanted to stay in Redding, but hotels checked for weekend were booked. Anderson was close so made reservation there. Room was clean and decent size. Breakfast area was kind of small but not over crowded. Good selection for breakfast.

Always a great stop after traveling on the road. Safeway shopping center is walking distance (across the parking lot) to hotel (so you don't have to get back into the car to find something to eat/drink). At the end of summer the restaurant next store to the BW will be open and that will be an added bonus for anyone traveling to the BW in Anderson!

Try for other location - it was not worth for the price.. This location shared with shopping complex , close to gas station - so i would recommend , if you go with family - just choose another best western location

Room was adequately clean and amenities working. Bed was good. TV channels and remote of 50 buttons without a listing of shows was awkward really time consuming just to find news. Check in staff was less than professional but got the job done in spite of themselves. Not rude people, just a bit focused on themselves. Only one restaurant within a fair walk. However the closest good food was the deli fried chicken at Safeway accross the parking lot. Good stay for one night, would have to reconsider if longer.

I started my day a stones throw from the Canadian border and travelled a bit further than I thought I would, finding my way to Redding where there was not a single hotel room to be found. The desk clerk in Redding recommended the Best Western in Anderson, just a few minutes away. Front desk clerk MaryKate greeted me kindly and let me know they were completely booked too. Then, she picked up the phone and dialed until she secured a room for me in a nearby town! Way to go Best Western!

We have stayed here multiple times in the last year going back and forth between So. California and Seattle Washington. It is an easy off and on I-5 and the service has always been great. It also has a nice little breakfast area with nice items. Brittany at the front desk is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Top floor as requested. But stuck in an inside corner with view of a wall. Really? Weren't even that many guests. Nice clean two queen room with fridge and microwave. No decent restaurant in walking distance. Simple breakfast offerings. Safeway grocery across the street. Fast wi-fi, good HD with Dish premium channels. No channel guide in room. Good air conditioning that kept the 103 degrees outside. Not many choices in Anderson but it's cheaper than Redding or Red Bluff.

Spent one night here. Check in was awesome. Jaylin was professional, friendly and efficient. They had is in an upstairs room, and I asked if they could change it to downstairs. No problem. The room was neat and clean. Comfy beds. Continental Breakfast was perfect. Easy access on and off to I 5.

Very close to Lassen NP. At check-in they were able to give us a list of very nice and reasonable places to eat. The pool and spa were very well kept and the beds were great. The personal that took care of our room and helped us on departure were very good. The breakfast was a nice touch and very fresh.

If you poke around, you'll see we've stayed here more than a few times. On a recent trip, however, we spotted a cockroach on the floor in the breakfast room. That's pretty disgusting. So that's it for us, because if there's infestation, there's no way the rooms can be clean -- bedbugs, anyone? -- and no way we'll stay here again. Goodbye Best Western Anderson. Hello Gaia.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very friendly and helpful staff. Both at check in and check out. Breakfast was excellent. Waffles, assortment of bread, cereals and pastries. Had sausage, scrambled eggs and tortillas for a make your own burrito. The beds were extremely comfortable. Right across the street from Von's and gas stations.

The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The bed was very firm. It didn't bother me, but my husband's back was definitely complaining. The breakfast was yummy, and the check out was fast and easy.

This is a very well kept, quiet, inexpensive stop over on our way to Oregon. There is a restaurant within walking distance. The motel provides a good breakfast. The rooms are large with refridgerators.

"Very nice hotel in Anderson"

I stayed at this hotel one night over Memorial Day on a my way to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Hotel has easy access to HWY, and walking distance to a mall that has a Safeway, a Dollar Tree and a nice sports bar with locals. Quiet room, comfortable beds. Breakfast was a bit lower quality than what I experience in other Best Westerns. They had waffles and burritos, which was a nice, but I missed some fruit and maybe some fresh bagels or something like that. I would definitely come back and it is a good place to explore the Lassen/Redding area...

Had absolutely no problems with this room. Easy off/on Interstate 5, beds were comfortable, room was quiet. Everything worked just fine -- especially like the coffeemaker for that first cup in the morning. Large parking lot for oversized vehicles (we didn't have one, we parked right in front of our room, but could see a few work trucks). Check-in and Check-Out was quick and easy. Staff efficient and personable. Breakfast room is small but adequate -- just get there early! Room was immaculate and kitchen staff helpful in keeping supplies replenished. There is a nice supermarket across the street, and a Little Caesar's Pizza place close by, if that's all you're wanting. Other places to eat would only be a short drive. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room had cockroaches and I was afraid to take my shoes off. Way to expensive for such a crappy place. Would never stay in this hotel again. Way to expensive for such a crappy hote I wnt to Reno next day and got a suite and paid way less. I would not stay here agian. Maybe motel 6 across they street would have been better.

If you are traveling north on I-5 and looking for a nice place to stay this would be a good choice. The layout is motel style, but well kept. Good for business traavel and there is a good restaurant across the parking lot.

Easy check in and out, very comfortable bed, lots of pillows, working AC/Fridge/microwave/coffee pot, good breakfast,however the Ice machine a little hard to find. There could be more parking and an elevator would make it easier to unload luggage, but those are no big deal.

Well located, lots of parking, quiet neighborhood, even though net to I-5. A good place to rest. It is also conveniently located to Safeway Food Store, with a Starbucks Coffee Shoppe and other small business, and a Shell Gasoline Station. The bed was clean and comfortable, I had no difficultly sleeping there, also the bathroom was comfortable, the shower had good water flow and made me feel comfortable, as well, I was able to clean up and get ready for a good night sleep. The air conditioner kept the room comfortable as well. Except for the running and jumping in the room above on Monday morning, all was well.

We always stay at the Anderson Inn when in the Redding area. There is no place in Redding that can compare to the value and customer service at the Anderson Inn. We love it there and will not stay anywhere else in the area.

We were very close to Redding and the airport. Motel was very clean, easy to get to, staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a gas station and Safeway near by. The rooms had a refrigerator and microwave which was very convenient. I liked the room layout in that the shower/toilet was in a separate room from the sink and dressing area. Both rooms had doors so it made it easy to get ready for a wedding without stepping on one another. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at the BW in Anderson many times. It is always clean, friendly, and comfortable. The breakfast is good and there is a large field adjacent for those that are traveling with a pet. It is within walking distance to a large grocery store and a couple of restaurants. Good choice!

"Good value "

Hotel is conveniently located. Rooms are plain and clean. Beds are ok. Breakfast was about middle of the road for free breakfast. It was worth going, the facility are a little small, only four tables. There is a Safeway across the street and a pizza parlor.

I've stayed here on many occasions and I love the location, staff and rooms! Patti and her crew do great things to make you feel at home and expedite the check-in! Easy on and off "The 5" and lots of places to eat and/or drink. Safeway next door, many restaurants-cheap gas for the car and a great room-one of the best breakfasts you'll find for a hotel. We were travelling back to Canada after wintering in California. Anderson was a stretch destination for us, but good weather was in our favour. I was ready for a break when I arrived. The reception process was more than pleasant, it was fun. The motel had everything that we wanted and met the quality that we expect at Best Western. The hotel does not have an "executive level" appearance but was not at all shabby. The rooms were clean and everything was in order. I will stay there again if it suits my route and time

We always stop here when on a 2 day trip to Southern California. It is right in the middle and splits the drive. Always great service and clean rooms. There are many places to eat in the area and there is the breakfast at the motel. We also like to stop at "Jack's Donuts" next door.

We traveled to Anderson for a birthday party last month and stayed at the Best Western Inn. We loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. They catered to all of our needs. We received extra blankets and towels as soon as we asked. We always have such a great experience when we stay there which is why we keep coming back. I want to thank all of the people that helped us while we were there and especially the very nice manager who was extremely thoughtful and accommodating.

The bed sheets looked to be dirty and there was toothpaste on the mirror. NOT what I expect from a Best Western. We only stayed less than 8 hours but I would not stay here again due to the uncleanliness.

This is an older hotel but has been updated. The rooms are nice size with very comfortable beds. There is no elevator so if the stairs are a problem you'll want to stay on the main floor. This wasn't a problems for us so we had a very quiet upper floor room.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this Best Western travelling with our cockatiel, PG. It was great! Staff is excellent. Breakfast had a great variety of goodies. The location is awesome, easy off and on I-5, shopping, and close to the veterans cemetery - Northern California Veterans Cemetery.

We really like the Best Western at Anderson, CA The staff is terrific and the location is perfect. it is easy to get off and then on the freeway, grocery stores and Starbucks are a few feet away and if you are traveling with dogs there are places right outside the property to let them run. For us it is the only place we will stay in the Redding/Anderson, CA area!

Very nice spot to spend the night. Front desk staff was very polite. Smiles abound. Got our room key and went upstairs to our room. opened the door to a very nicely decorated room. Inviting, clean and comfy. There is pride with the housekeeping staff as they leave a handwritten note welcoming the guest. Thank you Jeannie. The bathroom was CLEAN!! I looked everywhere and found nothing to complain about. The property was quiet. We did not do the free breakfast so no comments can be made. Check-out went without a problem. Outside areas were well maintained. All in all, very nice. We will stop here again.

We had a Great time. Great Hotel. The Breakfast was awesome. We would stay there again. The only problem we had was no hot water in the bathroom. The pillows were soft and comfy. The room was very clean. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff came and cleaned up the water from the rain that was pooled out side a room.

Usually I am really apprehensive to stay in a motel rather than a hotel. This was a great motel. Clean and updated modern room, more than you would expect from an average budget motel. Great friendly staff. Convenient location right off the freeway and Safeway grocery store right across the street. Motel is about 10-15 minutes south of Redding (9 miles).

We have been on the road for a week and this was our fifth and final hotel we stayed in. It was, by far the best hotel we booked thus far. We were welcomed warmly, given a great suggestion for a restaurant for dinner, the room was very nice, with nice touches like a hand-written note welcoming us and thanking us for choosing their hotel, a nice washcloth folded into a duck and a "fresh remote". The room was very comfortable and we couldn't hear any outside noises until a diesel truck started up just outside our room in the morning. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful and we were on our merry way very satisfied and rested. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone!

"First stay in Anderson, CA."

In traveling in and out of California from Washington/Oregon over the years, I have stayed overnight in Redding, Red Bluff, Corning, Williams, etc. Because of a drastic price increase in accommodations I had used the week before I decided to try the Best Western in Anderson on a return trip. I was presently surprised by the friendly staff and the quality of the room. Although small, the room was very well set up, beds were comfortable and the tv was in good working order. Another pleasant surprise was the variety of eating places within a short drive, and some within walking distance. I believe this s just a Best Western, not a Plus, and very good value for the money

"Great stop between Seattle and LA"

Clean, quiet, comfortable and south of Redding. Slept well! Only reason for one less star is you can hear the visitor above if you're on first floor. Not unlike living in our old house so it wasn't really bad but could bother some. Ask for second floor if so. Plumbing is a little loud, but not awful. Great value, feels safe and it's close to stores, etc.

"Large and affordable"

We were heading to my mom's from Oregon and drove until we could not drive anymore and then looked for a hotel by us. The Best Western in Anderson was listed for 80.00 so we went there. They did not have the low price room but the one offered was only 15.00 more and was well worth it. The room was huge with walk-in closet. The beds were comfortable and had great pillows. This is just what our tired bodies needed. The staff was great and they offered breakfast in the morning. We were very happy with what this hotel offered for the price.

"Wrestling Trip"

This was the third time we have stayed at this Best Western and it was just as good as the first time. Nice clean and friendly. The same lady checked us in that was there last year. The breakfast was good, the room was clean and very nice. Its close to a store, food and the school we were going to. We will be staying there next year too.

Needed a room for stay during wrestling tournament, was advised that nothing was available called direct line to Best Western and the very helpful staff found me the last room available, was much appreciated! Will be staying there next year when we return.

This place has always exceeded the maximum limitations! Great staff, great rooms, easy and ample parking and a very good breakfast!!!! I've stayed here on a few occasions and have always wanted to return. The place is very easy on and off the interstate and lots of shopping and places to eat nearby! Cheaper than Reddiing and just a few minutes away-highly recommended!

"Great Stopping Spot"

We were looking for stopover spots on our route from Washington to Richmond, CA. We had visited Anderson's riverfront park on a past trip, and enjoyed the park, and seen lots of Acorn Woodpeckers. We stayed at the Best Western Anderson Inn, and were glad we did. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large, with a couch, nice bed, and large bathroom counter and storage area. Out dog was welcome, and there was a small dog area just outside. There were stores and restaurants near by for dining and stocking up. We will visit again.

Good Value stay all due to outstanding Reception staff and fine bedding! Hotel looks more like a motel and paint color change might enhance it. Try nearby friendly Joe's Restaurant and cozy/lively pub.

"Great location and dog friendly"

Our second stop along the way to Cabo in Anderson is well worth it - right next to a mall with a Safeway and gas station and on the other of the motel is a huge field to walk the dogs in. More than decent breakfast to send you on your way in the morning. Room was plenty big enough to accommodate us and our two large dogs. ALSO - if you are heading south before you get to Anderson in Redding, CA there is a super dog park out on Airpark Rd. Really handy and well maintained.

It was perfect for the reason we had. My husband had passed away and we were trying to get back to Arizona before we were caught in a storm. My daughter stayed with me, and my other daughter and her husband also had a room. They were very gracious as well because of our circumstances. Thankyou for such caring people.

Be warned, the walls are so thin you can hear peoples conversations and snoring so loud we did not sleep. Beds are ok, room was clean, no toilet paper. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Location right off freeway, next to a Safeway.

While visiting an old friend for Thanksgiving, we chose this location, because we have stayed there in the past and found it an excellent value for the venue. The check in staff was pleasant and helpful. When we returned from our visit, we were tired from travel and found the bed very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

The hotel has large, clean rooms is 1 minute off of Highway 5, nice staff and is surrounded by Gas stations, stores, and restaurants, Safeway in just across the street and you can walk to all the other places, nice place to stopover if you are traveling in Northern Cal or Southern Oregon.

The staff went out of their way to make every small detail of our stay a good experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area. It is a great deal for the price and they give you breakfast if you leave early. Nice touch.

I stayed here for one night in early October with my husband and 9-year-old son. The room was nice (although the bathroom was a little funky - it was very small and the shower was loud). Noise during the night was minimal, even though we were close to the freeway. The included free breakfast was decent, but with minimal variety. We checked in during the evening when the outdoor pool was still open, and my son wanted to go swimming, so I went to check out the pool Our room was on the second floor in the middle, so I went downstairs and walked to the pool, which is at the other end of the building from the office. This Best Western backs up to an exit ramp, and sits at one side of a parking lot. Sort of across the parking lot from the Best Western is a strip mall. So when I got to the outdoor pool, I could see it was enclosed by a wall and had one dim light providing some illumination over the pool, but much of the pool deck area was in darkness, including the part attached to the rest of the building, where there appeared to be a door but it was hard to see. On the other side of the pool is an empty area of the parking lot with minimal illumination. The strip mall stores looked mostly dark except for one place that was open. During the day, the pool area is probably fine; during the evening when it is dark (but the pool is still open), the pool area is scary.

Our family owns a farm in Anderson. When we visit we stay at the Best Western. It is conveniently located, there is a Safeway, restaurants, gas stations, etc. very near by. The room is high quality, the staff are very helpful and welcoming. What more could we want.

I stay at the Best Western in Anderson, CA when in the area for business. It is an older facility that is well maintained. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are clean and attractive. Bathrooms are spotless. Breakfast service is nicely presented. Internet connectivity is great. Staff members are kind and helpful. Despite the fact that the motel is near a major freeway, the noise level is low and I have NEVER experienced any disruption caused by other guests.

We made a quick overnight stop at this convenient location. It was very quiet considering how close it is to I-5. The manager was very helpful and pleasant. This property is a "motor lodge" with outdoor corridors, so the price is reflective of what it is. It was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was actually better than the norm. I don't care too much for the "bright white light" in the energy saving bulbs but I'm trying to get used to it. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

Passing through from Southern California heading to Oregon, we stopped at Best Western Anderson Inn. The previous time we came through a wild fire burned up to the back of the facility and scorched the stucco and some exposed rafters. The damage is (of course) repaired and the entire place has a nice new paint job. As far as service is concerned, it is still top notch. The people that I dealt with at the front desk were efficient, helpful and friendly. I would not ask for more than that. The rooms are still nicely appointed and up-to-date. A nice HD satellite based TV feed is provided to the in-room HD flat panel TVs. The WiFi has definitely been upgraded over two years ago (as tested by my kid's high bandwidth gaming). This will remain our place-to-stop on our return trips to Oregon to visit family and friends.

Very convenience to access supermarket, gas station and restaurant. Close to shopping mall in Anderson. It's good location that we stay one night and visit Lassen National park and Redding. Cheaper price than stay in Redding hotel and only 14 minutes driving to Redding.

Nice, clean, and well located near to restaurants and grocery store. Easy on and off freeway. Breakfast was very good. No need to go elsewhere for that. The only thing that kept this from being top all the way were the pillows on the bed. There were 4 really fluffy pillows on each bed. Should have 2 fluffy and 2 flatter pillows. Lots of people (I did a survey) do not like real fluffy pillows, especially people over 50. That was the only less than excellent comment from all 20+ people in my group.

Patti is always so personal to our needs. I had a knee injury this time and she immediately made sure we were accommodated for my disability. It is always a pleasure to see our Best Western Family when we are in the Anderson area. In fact my meetings are in Redding and Shasta Lake City are and we choose to stay at the Anderson Best Western just for those reasons. The whole entire staff are great. We thank them for making us feel at home.

Very convenient with restaurants and gas stations close by. Patti, the General Manager is so friendly and helpful. She knows we check-in late so during the summer she will go in our room and turn on the air-conditioning. We like the fact they keep 2 smoking rooms. Good hot buffet breakfast.

If possible Best Western is my hotel of choice. It amazes me how some of these hotel chains extremely over-price their hotels in some of these cities. Have stayed at Anderson BW before & it is more reasonably priced & delivers a great service.Location is good, a bit of zig-zagging to get to it & pretty quiet. My only suggestion, add bagels & cream cheese to breakfast!

Found staff friendly & helpful, and accommodated our request for room location. Room perfectly adequate & clean. Everything worked. WIFI speed decent. Bathroom not overly large. Front desk person gave good recommendations for local restaurant.

The rooms were very nice and very clean, the grounds were nice, the place was pet friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but the wi-fi was spotty. The shower was great! (yes, this is important to me). I would come back again without hesitation.
