After booking for 4 people found only 2 towels. Went to desk to be told she can't get any. Then found finger nail on bed so needed to transfer rooms. Employees completely unconcerned about any issue. Actually somewhat rude about being bothered. Breakfast was fine and the attendant there was friendly but talked about issues with staff. Stay somewhere else.
I was reading reviews here and decided to go here instead of Microtel. Room was tiny and sink wasn't even in the bathroom. Bed was so uncomfortable and pillows half the normal size. To top my sleepless night the A/C was so loud and kept shutting on and off all night. Fan on it sounded like a race car. Not returning there. Continental breakfast looked nice but we decided to go eat elsewhere.
Great hotel for the price, comfort, location, breakfast, cleanliness, pet friendly and caring staff. I love the new renovations too. A very safe and comfortable stay with easy access from the highway.
To start on a positive note....the staff, with the exception of one, were delightful. I truly feel they wanted to take great care of us, but were hampered by the facility and management. The exception to the delightful staff was the gentleman who walked into our room without knocking. It was most likely in response to our complaining to the front desk an hour or so earlier...but really?!? You don't enter a guest room without knocking! I'm not even sorry for slamming the door in his face. The reason for our complaint? The room wasn't cleaned at 4:45 pm. Two days in a row. Very disappointing. After a long day at a horse competition, the last thing you want to return to is an unmade room...having to drive around the neighborhood to kill time was annoying to say the least. The other major negative for me was the room itself. By now, I'm quite used to and accepting of the fact that pet friendly rooms are less appointed. However....the lack of a table lamp on one of the nightstands was a bad choice. The lack of a closet door is odd. The lack of extra bedding such as pillows and blankets was annoying. But the worst was the FILTHY floor. It was disgusting! After a shower, walking around the room for two or three minutes resulted in the bottoms of my feet being black. Maybe the non-pet-friendly rooms are better, but I will not return to find out.
our group consisted of 6 people, family members, all adults. Reserved 3 King Rooms over a month before our visit and requested they all be together and was told a note was being made and should be no problem. Upon arrival 1 room was ready and was told we could have double if we'd like. We had to wait 2 hours for the other two rooms, only to find out they were not near each other at all. Our shower drain didn't drain and we killed two water bugs on the walls.
And for anyone else. Hotel has undergone a much needed renovation and is in top notch shape right now. Rooms are small but the new flooring and furniture make it a clean and comfortable overnight. Lobby area is clean and modern. Breakfast area is also clean and the food is good. Great location right near restaurants and golf courses. And did I mention the price? Three nights and two rooms for $395 all in!
Southern Pines is an upscale community and having outside corridors is not a big deal there. The rooms are nice but the bathrooms are small. The breakfast is good and the rooms are very clean and maintained. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. It is in a quiet area although traffic can be a little heavy some times of the day. The location is also nice and there is a Buffalo Wild Wings across the street. Other restaurants are very close by also. The rooms are updated and they are in the process of remodeling also but the hotel is very comfortable.
My wife and I traveled to the Southern Pines area to Pick up a Rescue dog. We booked a Best Western because we always stay in one for Vacation we got there about 8 pm and checked in the guy at the front Desk gave us the room card to the King room that we booked. I get to our room and it was TOTALLY DISGUSTING THE ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED AT ALL the bed was not made there was trash still in the room it smelled of old garbage. I went back to the front desk and the front desk guy apologized said it was "Marked Clean" Surprise it wasn't. He did put us in another room but not a king room it was a double room. We went to check out and the Front girl Alexis stated that she was going to take off the pet fee which she did but was going to have to talk to her manager to fix the room rate. I told her that would be fine, well guess what nothing was done and the Assistant Manager Jennifer Johnson acted appalled on the phone as how dare I ask for the difference of the room we already gave you a discount. You may have but you should have given us the price of the room that we were in and took off the pet fee as well. BEST WESTERN IN SOUTHERN PINES IS TOTAL BS AND DISGUSTING AND I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
In for a memorial service and wanted an outdoor pool at a nice facility at a reasonable price. This property met all my needs. The pool was open when I wanted it, breakfast was reasonable, parking felt safe and front desk staff were very helpful.
Not clean. Bad breakfast. Unpleasant service and rooms weren't fixed and cleaned until 6 pm. Breakfast was not good and very noisy at night because of the HW. Not the pool that the pictures show and lawndry w/out soap
The bedding didn't get changed until 6:30 pm. Even though I asked someone in housekeeping to do it. Then I called the front desk and he said he was aware of it. The carpet was disgusting!! The shower was dirty. The pillows were so old that when put in a pillowcase, they were a tiny square . The fridge had a freezer with a separate door which was great! It had a nice big tv. But the bed had springs in my back all night. I hope they renovate soon. It is in desperate need of it!!
Amazing customer service ,Room are being newly renovating we were in old room but staff was nice and upgrade to new room ,new rooms just changed the carpet to hard flooring new paint colors but still waiting for new furniture ,I am sure after the new furniture room will look totally different.Last is the court yard is amazing.with all the greenery and blooming flowers.
I dont blame the staff for the way this hotel looks, and smells...I blame the manager(s). I have been a Best Western rewards member for years, and this by far is my worst experience. As I checked out....the front desk staff was very apologetic, I received a full refund (only reason I gave 2 stars), then I booked at another hotel where I also have a rewards membership. The manager of this Best Western location didn't ask to speak to me at all. Not once. But peep this....as I was checking into my room at the second hotel; a father and son walked in talking about their horrible experiences at this Best Western. Just don't do it. Not even once.
Although this hotel is reasonably priced in the immediate Aberdeen, Pinehurst, Southern Pines area, it is run down and in need of a good updating. Our room was dark, dirty looking, and had an unpleasant odor. The furniture is run down with just about every piece either chipped, warped, or wobbly. The mattresses hurt the shoulders, backs, and necks of my two daughters and wife. As a military family moving out of state, we stayed for a week as the daily dog fee of $20 was what we could afford, so we bought a candle to provide a better scent. To put it in perspective, the Hampton Inn wanted $189 per night as opposed to $110 for this BW. The shower had great pressure, but the caulking and tile is well worn and disgusting looking. The TV is tiny at 27 inches. The AC unit smells of mildew, maybe that's what caused the odor. There's no carpet, so you get a feel of staying at a crungy beach cottage. We've stayed at BWs before and this one leaves a lot to be desired. The breakfast area is very clean, but the same few items offered daily leaves you wanting to go elsewhere. The coffee is good, free all day long, and the pool is nice as is the pay as you go laundry facility. The only reason we opted to stay here was the lower cost, so you get what you pay for. The hotel's location is good, close to all shopping, but making a left turn out of the parking lot onto route 1 is dangerous in the morning and late afternoon. A plus is plenty of parking and a lot of space for trailers.
Has a great stay. Love the amenities and poool. Staff did a wonderful job caring for my requests which included printing my boarding pass, directions etc. Staff went above and beyond. I missed the cookies for the evening and the staff delivered a tray to my room later in the evening. Rooms are nicely renovated and lobby was tastefully done. Breakfast was wonderful. Would stay here whenever im in the area.
Okay WTF I can't believe these reviews. The rooms are dirty, broken and chipped furniture, bugs in the rooms. This was by far one of the worst hotel rooms we have stayed in. The floor is so dirty I can't even bear to walk with out shoes on. The bed covering is ripped, and the furniture is basically put together Walmart furniture. I can see why the reservations are non refundable once you reserve they lock you into a crappy room for the full stay. All I can say is stay away from this one, you could pitch a tent and have better accommodations.
We had a group to stay at the Southern Pines hotel for a golf trip for four days. When we arrived after a round of golf, our rooms were not ready(4:30). We were told it would be an hour. Once we did get into our rooms, the rooms were clean. Then I found that the commode was running. Checked the tank and the flapper was not dropping correctly so the tank wouldn't refill. I told the front desk about the problem and was told they would take care it. It would cost around $5.00 and ten minutes to repair the problem. So every time the toilet was used I had a hand in the tank. If you make a reservation make they don't give you room 206.
the hotel was excellent definitely recommend for anyone to coming here hotel staff was excellent. all the amenities was there perfect. pool was amazing. the rooms are beautiful and clean. definetly worth 5 stars
I've learned that people who write reviews tend to lean toward high ratings that make you scratch your head if you stay at one of those hotels. Another, smaller group like to brutally complain and give one-button ratings. We all have different preferences and different past experiences which affect our opinions today. This hotel is one of those that attracts both surprisingly high marks and criticism. Other raters mention renovated rooms. Maybe so, but the first of three rooms (that's what it took to find us an acceptable room) obviously was renovated, but still had so many issues we asked to be moved. When we appealed to management to let us try a different room, they did, and the "third time was the charm," as the saying goes. But the third room, although acceptable, was nothing to write home about, and just covered our lodging needs. Now the upside: Caroline, the lady who provides the free daily breakfast, really made everyone's day. She is one of the most upbeat, kind, happy, hardworking people we've ever run into in a motel! Thank you, Caroline, for how much you blessed us each morning throughout our stay! You're a rare gem!
They put me up in one of the newly renovated rooms. I honestly felt so refreshed in the morning after a long day of driving the night before. Staff was so kind and helpful for every little thing, best quality and service at any Best Western I've stayed at and I've stayed at a lot of them. I've also stayed at the other hotels in the area in the past, no one treats you like the staff does here. Wish I chose this hotel earlier. Breakfast was surprisingly very good! Not the same old cheap stuff that other hotels do, thank god! Breakfast lady was as good as the food!
Front desk was great, helped with anything we needed during our stay. Breakfast was perfect. Breakfast lady was very nice. Rooms were nice and clean. Just perfect after our super long drive! Glad we tried here before the other hotels.
Stayed one night. I had a great stay. Everything was perfect. No issues. They're currently renovating rooms, be sure to ask for a new room! They'll upgrade you for free, front desk was very kind! Breakfast was delicious. We had freshly made scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, amazing seasoned potatoes (my favorite), sausage, oatmeal station where you can add additional cranberries, coconut flakes and granola crunch. So much more stuff, that I just can't think of right now, but nonetheless definitely different from what most hotels do! I'll be back again next time around!
This is a typical budget hotel that we honestly booked by accident (thought we were staying somewhere else). All rooms are accessed from the outside, and overall room access on the second floor can be a challenge with luggage on the stairs (no elevators). Checking in, I asked if our friends had already arrived and asked that we be located near them. For this, I received a dirty look and a comment that room assignments can't be changed. Our friends had arrived, and as it turns out, they were located next door to us. Why not just say that with a smile? The room floor was gritty and the HVAC was questionable. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the woman working there was very friendly and helpful. Try the Comfort Inn across town. Nicer place and a sports bar next door.
This hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. We travel quite a bit and never really plan our stays until we see where we are about 4pm. Sometimes you just have to take what you find, so when we find a nice, comfortable and affordable place like this, we really appreciate it. The desk staff person was cheerful, friendly and professional. The hotel sports a lovely garden courtyard in the middle of the two buildings. The room was the standard BW 2-doubles, very clean and overlooked the gardens. And there were several restaurants within walking distance. A very pleasant stop.
So, we checked into this place after driving for twelve hours. Go up to our room and were greated with the stench of weed in our room. This stench lasted our entire stay. The bathroom floor had not been swept after the last guest left, corners of the room had never been vacuumed, one bed had no blanket. It was the filthiest room I've ever stayed in. Too exhausted to do anything but sleep, we go to bed and get out early. Came back and the room had not been cleaned, no towels, no garbage taken, nothing. We call the next day and specifically ask that our room be cleaned. That was the only day our room actually got cleaned. The next day we came back to a dirty room yet again and no clean towels. Our last morning there we were treated to a guy in the parking lot complaining that his prostitute from the night before had stolen his money, another guy screaming about his ex. I don't understand all the good reviews. This is without a doubt the worst stay of my life.
Came back again on my way down south, what a difference! The new room that I was in was very cozy and modern. Slept like a baby after a long drive. Staff was amazing again, breakfast one of the best & above standard in my opinion. Happy to be back at this hotel, hate to leave.
I had a great time staying at this location! The owner and everyone was extemely accomodating and respectful. They seemed to have taken special attention to my particular needs and they went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was extremely comfortable. Thank you for the best service I ever had! I will definitely return!
Room was nice. We had a king size bed in our room close to the lobby. Lobby was beautifully done. Front desk was very kind and helpful. Caroline was super sweet and breakfast was very good. My husband and I enjoyed the waffles, pastries and juice!
Very nice location very nice and caring staff ,Although its a external property but they kept it very nice , The courtyard of the hotel is very beautiful the flowers the grass all year around looks really good.
My wife and I were on a business trip out in North Carolina and we usually don't stay in hotels due to horrendous previous experience. But this hotel was extremely courteous and warm welcoming. The girl at the front desk named usmania accommodated to all our needs at a very affordable rate.
BW is in a great location, off the main high way close to a lot of food choices nice clean and staff were friendly, Beds were comfortable I usually stay there when I am in the area there was a nice selection for breakfast .
I stayed here recently and absolutely loved my experience here! It was very easy making a reservation with the front desk and the breakfast was purely amazing!! I'd definitely stay here again in the future.
I'm so happy to have given this hotel a chance, I had a great time with my family. Staff was one of the best I've experienced at a hotel. Hotel lobby was brand new, I heard the rooms will be next to be renovate ,I can't wait to see the new rooms .
I visit many hotels, including Hilton, Marriott, Sonesta, and Best Western. I am staying here for the night off my reward points, as my moving truck comes tomm to move me to Chicago. The property is very nice, Convenient stairs to second floor, the girl st front desk whom checked me in was just lovely, friendly and efficient. Even the tv remote was wrapped in a sealed fresh packet. The attention to details, cleanliness and the assumed needs of the guests is so evident here. Thank you so much for making my last night before I move from NC a pampered treat!!
All aspects of my visit were great. From check-in to checkout I was met with professional and friendly service. The breakfast was a real pleasant surprise. All items were nicely prepared and served hot. The breakfast room was spotless. Overall a most pleasant stay 3 nights.
If you stay in Southern Pines ,NC this hotel is a very clean and well maintained and clean grounds !! We really enjoyed our week stay there. We will be staying there again when we visit. I will tell all my friends and family when they go to visit family to stay at this hotel.
We booked a king no-smoking room about a month in advance of our overnight stay. When we arrived, my husband used the bathroom after our long drive. Not only did the toilet not flush, but it immediately overflowed! The clerk informed us that, since it was a Saturday, nobody was available to fix the problem and she would have to give us another room. It was at the far end of the property and honestly looked like it had been neither used nor cleaned in months. Plus it had 2 double beds rather than a King. Plus, it smelled of smoke although we were assured it was a non-smoking room. The toilet worked, but the tub was a dirty mess. The bedspreads and carpet had large black stains. None of the lamps or the TV were plugged in, and in doing that myself, I saw a GROSS amount of dirt in the carpets. The furniture was shabby, dented, and dusty. I will say the beds were comfortable, the TV and fridge worked, the wifi worked and was free. Standard breakfast choices. We were in town for a very specific event and I had no time to argue with the clerk about our bill, but it seems to me that given the circumstances (downgrade, horrible room) we should have been given a credit on our bill without me having to negotiate for it. VERY poor property.
This hotel is very conveniently located. The front desk was very efficient and very knowledgeable about the area and its surrounding eating establishments. The room was small but very nice, with a comfortable bed . The internet service was great.
The best thing about this hotel are their staff! The rooms are in great needof in upgrade. Our room had a stain on the carpet, the commode had a broken anchor bolt and the tv was old and hard to operate. We ate breakfast a couple of times but ate out the third day. Again the staff on reception and the lady operating the breakfast were super nice. Pity the actual hotel didn't do them justice.
This is our second stay here in eight months. Check in was great .. quick friendly .. buttered popcorn cooking in the lobby for guests.. nice atmosphere . The room .. 118.. not so much . First observance was the dirty carpet .. actually tacky under my bare feet.. immediately put shoes back on . In the bathroom later I realized a damp used bath towel had been left on the door hook making me assume the bathroom hadn't been cleaned.. as a fresh towel wasn't replaced . The bottom of the tub was grey with overuse . Internet was slow, furniture chipped, decor dreary.. tv sound was poor .. non clear .. I won't stay here again despite the good location and attractive reception center. BW needs to redo this one ..
The rooms may be a little outdated, but the staff more than makes up for any issue you may have in the room. Internet was kind of slow, but we were all hunkered down for a hurricane. Can't expect everything! Breakfast was really great!!!
This hotel is pet friendly and in the face of hurricane florence we booked a room. Though very hectic, we could always talk to an onsite person to check if they had power and to otherwise get questions answered in advance of our stay. Storm was hitting but front desk clerk chevrelle was awesome and very professional as she singlehandedly manned the front at a very busy time. All was clean and again for a pet friendly hotel we were very pleased
Several years ago (three to five) we stayed at this property. We were totally impressed with every facet of our stay that we vowed to someday return just because of THIS BEST WESTERN. Pictures of a family-run business, pride, and warmth WAS this property...clean, meticulous, friendly, sincere, so very well cared for...a special place in a fast paced world..one just felt you were actually in someone's home. We returned in September 2018...NOT AT ALL THE SAME!! Our room had a very worn carpet and just a neglected feel...no where near as clean as we remembered. Ice machines were empty....family pictures no longer adorned the walls...we came to just another big business America property, a far cry from that BEST WESTERN of an earlier visit....Will we return? NO!! When Best Western cares...when owners care..when this property is worthy of the name BEST WESTERN..then maybe....This property has really gone downhill...what a letdown...maybe before it WAS a dream.
My family and I are very glad. The hotel staff is pretty professional and made us feel very comfortable and welcoming. Continental breakfast is good. Hotel is located close to grocery stores and many restaurants. We recommend!
I have no complaints about this hotel, better than expected. The rooms were clean and the beds were soo comfortable. Parking was easy and our room was on the first level so I didn't have to walk up any stairs after a long day.
Room dirty. Beds not made up and tub was stained and dirty. Bathroom way to dmall, cant close door. Women at front desk was rude, when I went back to front desk to ask for a different room as this was dirty she actedas though I was wrong to ask.
don't bother staying here. if you have an issue or like the place, the only response is from a automatic form, no actual authentic interaction. so basically robots run the place with cold robot cash loving hearts. black widows who kill husbands, so they can live in style in downtown SoPi. what a joke, you didn't hold out for Washington DC? this place is creepy and dirty.
The hotel was a good value for the area. There is some room for upgrading, especially the bathroom, but it was clean and comfortable. The welcoming attitude of the staff was the highlight. Many smiles and kind words. Great location. The courtyard area around the pool was nicely maintained, and the pool was sparkling.
I have stayed at this particular BW for 4 years now for an annual golf trip to the area. Although a bit dated.. I have always been very pleased with the service I received, the cleanliness, and the attention to detail at this particular BW. I must say that this time was a disappointment. Strictly speaking for the room I was assigned (177) , This facility is in need of a major upgrade... There were major scuff marks all along the wall. There were zero electrical outlets near the night stand which made charging my various devices a problem. The room in general was not as clean as I have been accustomed to. There is build up of dust along the baseboards behind the nightstand and beds, which I discovered looking for an electrical outlet. There was a spiderweb in the bathroom, with a spider, and a large spider in the tub the morning I checked out. I checked in on Saturday, June 30th. After coming in from my morning round of golf I noticed my room had not been cleaned. Later that afternoon as I headed out for my 2nd round of the day I stopped by the front desk to report the issue and request some clean towels. I told the desk clerk that I would stop back by the desk after I returned from my round of golf to collect the clean towels.. I'm not sure if the fact that it was a Sunday and they may have been short staffed as to why my room was not cleaned. The wifi was weak and inconsistent. I constantly had trouble accessing google maps to get directions to courses and restaurants. All in all if I had to rate this stay on a scale of 1 to 10, I would have to give this one a 5 at best... There just wasn't the attention to detail that I am accustomed to when staying at a BW...
I chose this location only because it was in the town I was attending a birthday party in but it was perfect. I was a few blocks from the party, restaurant choices were many, quick to the highest for the people I was visiting and beyond helpful staff. First day there I needed cooler clothes and hair products for curly hair. The member of the cleaning staff gave perfect directions. The front lobby staff were outstanding bumping up my reservation when my room wasn't available yet. Lots of parking, beautiful courtyard, breakfast choices perfect to start your day.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient.Lots of restaurants and shopping near the hotel. Very good value for the price. The staff were pleasant and friendly and check in was quick and easy.
I have stayed here off and on for 20 years, and that is the problem. It is older, and I am older, and I guess I have come to expect more in a motel/hotel -- because other, newer places offer more. This place has beautiful gardens, and they have just renovated their lobby, but the rooms are a touch small, the furniture the sort of low-grade Bob's specials you used to expect in motels, the carpet just plain ugly. Heating/cooling is dated (not digital), and the cover cracked. A perfectly serviceable place, at a good price, but I'm upping my ante $20 or so a night next time and going for a better experience.
This hotel meet our expectations for an April budget golf trip. Basic hotel, ok breakfast bar but convenient to restaurants and golf courses. Beds were comfortable, bathroom tiny but clean. Check in/out was easy through Maples golf packages.
Wonderful hotel to stay at if you are in the area. Friendly staff and rooms are very nice. I stayed a weekend and I enjoyed it so much when we arrived back in the area we stayed again. This is my number one choice for the price and safety! I enjoy that locals aren't allowed to reside
We had planned a trip to the Southern Pines area for several months. I kept going back to Best Western as the pictures looked really nice and the reviews were pretty good. Glad I made that call, the staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was very nice and clean. The breakfast bar was very nice with hot food including sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs and waffles and well as fruit . The location was great, so many places you could be at in just a matter of minutes. We will be staying there again when we go back. We went there for a benefit poker run to help build a playground for special needs children. Awesome week end !! They have remodeled and its looking so nice. Not quite finished, but it didn't interfere with anything. Thank you Best Western Pinehurst Inn and Southern Pines for a wonderful stay.
I was disappointed to find that my room was never properly cleaned, even after alerting the front desk staff. The sticky coffee spill that was on the bathroom sink when I arrived, was still there when I left four nights later. The carpet was not vacuumed during my stay. The thermostat in the heater/AC did not work, so the room was either freezing or boiling. Don't plan to eat breakfast there if you are on any form of low carb, or real food diet.
The Inn is undergoing a much needed renovation. Rooms are tired and dirty with broken appliances from too many years. Ask about this before booking. The layout is awkward with multiple stairways to climb.
We made the reservation the night before. We called several places in Pinehurst but they were all booked. The place looked like it had been a motel; it's 2 stories. All the rooms are entered from the outside. And because of the configuration, you may not be able to park in front of your unit. If you have a lot of stuff, try ti get a fist floor room. The room was old -- old rug, old beat-up furniture, old bathroom. The bathroom was tiny. But the sink (granite) was outside so that helped. The counter was tiny also. There was no tea in the room and we discovered in the morning that the pullout tray in the coffee machine was missing. While we were at breakfast, the maid came in and took all our towels. It was obvious that we hadn't left yet. I had to go to the front desk to get a hand towel. On the plus side, the rooms seem to have been freshly painted. -- inside and outside. There were lots of plugs in the lamps to charge our phones. And there was a microwave and a mini fridge with freezer. The lobby was being renovated.
Spent a week at this location while visiting family and sightseeing. Not only did we have a wonderful time, our stay at the hotel was great. Big, thick and comfy beds, great wifi and cable channels...even had on demand channels! I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
We stayed at this hotel because we have had good luck at Best Westerns in the past. Unfortunately, they were in the middle of renovating their lobby and breakfast area which are areas you walk to quite often when staying there. Best Westerns typically have good warm breakfast offerings and free USA Today papers but this time around they didn't really have either because of the work being done which made it somewhat disappointing. I'm sure it will be good for future visitors...just not us this time around.
I needed a room for the evening while visiting stuffy, new stepmom. The room was clean and actually the break was nice. The room a bit dated but it appears they were doing some reno in the dining room. Fresh coffee in the morning and some fruit. They were animate about check out, but I was packing up at the time.
Refrigerator in room didn't work so front desk came down immediately to check it out. She couldn't get it to work and maintenance man had just left, so she offered to keep my cold dog food in the fridge up front. She and others were genuinely friendly as well as flexible and accommodating as I had some last minutes changes to my reservation. Oh, and good selection of TV channels, too. Better than in some "better" hotels I've stayed at. Good breakfast.
Staff is excellent. Loved the breakfast. Close to all of the restaurants, golf courses and shopping. The lobby is being remodeled but the continental breakfast is still included. Thanks BW for a great stay.
The staff were nice and friendly. The accommodations were comfortable. The hotel is located right off hwy 1 which is convenient, but also a little bit noisy. The breakfast was simple, but adequate. The lady at breakfast was friendly and helpful. For the price this hotel is a deal.
Rooms are clean, comfortable; friendly staff. Never had a bad experience there. Stayed at other local hotels, but they do not match BW in Southern Pines. BW is updating their reception area, and the rooms appear to be newly renovated. Best place for me!
Great hotel, alittle annoying that they were repaving the parking lot, but the rooms were spotless, breakfast good, staff very friendly and customer service orientated.Every day we came back to a clean room, The staff was awesome, very friendly and nice. Great location to everywhere we needed to go. Good location for us. Price was excellent value!
The staff was friendly at every encounter I had with them. The Pinehurst Inn is surrounded with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and plenty of golfing and fun. The room was recently renovated and was very comfortable. I really appreciated how quiet it was and I felt safe as I was traveling alone.
Friendly service, clean bathroom. Food was average, beds are hard. Front door was bent and didn't close completely, room heater was broken, tv remote didn't work. Would not recommend unless you are desperate for a few hours sleep while traveling.
We stayed at this Best Western (BW) based on prior experiences at BW. Generally the hotel did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asked questions. The free breakfast was great. The only issues that didn't live up to our expectations were the bathroom. The tub would not drain properly and the flapper in the toilet needed to be replaced. The bed slept well and the room clean.
clean rooms, quiet, good breakfast, good coffee, great price -- would stay there again. location is great for places to eat. staff friendly, no surprises. Overall good place to stay in So. Pines NC Not much else to say.
My family and I had a pleasant stay at the Best Western of Southern Pines NC. Check Inn was fast and our room was ready. The hotel was easy to located and plenty of restaurants for our family to visit.
I had to given a grade 3 only because the dirty carpet in the room. My kids feet were black with dirt from walking on the carpet. The bed linen did not feel or smell fresh either. Other than this we had a good experience!!
I'm riding another leg of my TOH tour. Some of the sites are in out of the way towns. It was late when I checked in. The staff was professional and friendly. I was able to a room even though there was a golf tournament in town. My room was clean and nicely appointed. Everything worked as it should. The bed was comfortable and the linens fresh. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, with all the toiletries you would expect at this level. I didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. The breakfast was excellent. A nice selection, adequate seating, with a very efficient staff keeping everything stocked, clean, and tidy. If I were in this area again I would definitely stay here.
Absolutely the worst stay in a hotel in years! Started with check in. No room key, got to the room and it was not what we reserved back in July and desk clerks had a we don't care attitude, so instead of a king size bed we got to twin beds. Paid cash for the room but the credit card was charged anyway, 3 separate times. Room was restocked on cleaning and the room key was only programmed for one night when we were staying 2 nights. I realize it's not the Crown Plaza but I at least expected basic customer service. Management did comp one night of our stay but I doubt I'll stay there again.
We always enjoy staying at this hotel when we visit Southern Pines...it is clean and the breakfast is exceptional. We also find the location close to everything we visit here. The price is also right.
Nice pool, nice laundry room, good variety of snacks in the vending Machines. The breakfast ladies were extremely nice and the breakfast was set up very presentable, I forgot her name but the lady with the blonde hair was extremely nice to all customers.
I was in the area to visit family and needed a place to stay. Pricing was reasonable. The breakfast daily was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting the usual continental breakfast cold bagels and maybe a cup yogurt. What I got was eggs bacon, biscuit, sausage gravy and much more. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Even thought it was mid September the outdoor pool was still open and clean. Another pleasant surprise since the weather was still 85+ degrees. I'd stay there again and again.
We were very happy with our stay. Even though our circumstances weren't the best we felt very comfortable with our stay and the service was great. The the best was the woman who serves breakfast she was outstanding in her treatment and helpfulness.
The staff was nice. The pool was nice. The bed was comfortable. The carpet in the room was so damp my husband developed a blister that turned out to be a fungal infection due to the dampness of the carpet. The room also smelled damp. There is no fan in the bathroom. The shower could be cleaned better around the shower head (pink slimey stuff) and the caulking (mildew). The arms of the sofa in the room looked really stained so we avoided sitting on it.
I travel alot and love the stay in comfortable hotels. Best Western Pine Hurst Inn is a favorite because it is always clean, fresh smelling and a relaxing atmosphere. Staff in always ready to make my stay comfortable. I recommend anyone staying over night in area to stay here.
We killed 2 bugs that were crawling on the walls. We are from New Mexico so we are 3 hours behind the time zone here and we were awoke to an air blower blowing off the side walk at 8am, which is 5 am our time, on a Saturday morning! Beds were old and squeaked everytime you moved. Not very impressed for a "golf" town.
This is our third stay checking in seamless. Staff professional and upbeat. We enjoy the little touches that make you feel special, like popcorn or cookies in the afternoon.. My favorite spot is the lovely garden side. Can't wait to go back!
rated as an upscale motel, still a great value. Everything in room worked, nice TV, mIcro & fridge was great, plenty of room, comfortable recliner but worn, easy to relax in room. pool great, fitness center had only a pulley for weight training. breakfast had great eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, etc. However, carpet in my room was so dirty water in shower around my feet turned black. Also BOTH ice machines were out of order for the two days i was there. aside from that, everything was great and i would stay again.
The carpet and some old furniture need to be changed absolutely!!! The room was dirty and felt dump Never again The breakfast to be improved....hotel can offer more food The location is good .you have some restaurants nearby
I checked in and had reserved a room with a king size bed but when we went to the room it had two double beds. It was a small room and with two beds, a chest, a refrigerator, and a desk it was really crowded in the room. I checked back at registration and they said I had requested a room with a double bed but I had saved my original confirmation which clearly stated a king size bed. No one had any idea how it got changed and of course there were no rooms with king size beds available. They did reduce the room rate by $10 per night but still somewhat disturbing that my original reservation was not honored. I made the reservation several weeks earlier as well so it was not a recent reservation. Beds were small and pillows were very small and not comfortable.
My Dad and I stayed here for a quick visit with my aunt and her husband who live in SP. This was close to their home, with easy access to lots of restaurants and shopping if we needed anything. The pool was lovely, and the grounds well kept with lots of shrubbery and flowers. While I don't like doors to the outside (prefer hallways), this felt safe as well. The room was decent, with a nice sized table if we wished to eat in. Breakfast attendant was great - everything was fresh and easily accessed, and she made our waffles for us! My only concern was the lack of response from the front desk our first night when I called for the Internet Wi-Fi code. I ended up walking from our room on the opposite side of the Hotel back to the office to find the front desk person sitting there, comfy.
The facility is clean, well staffed, and friendly. Luckily, the facility was within 1-3 miles of everywhere we needed to be for the funeral. There is amble parking, the breakfast was very good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone in my family.
Great hotel. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this Best Western. I come once a year for work. It is perfectly located for where I am working and on the edge of town so the road is not quite so busy. It is within walking distance of some great eateries. Close to many golfing locations. There is a really nice pool...though I have never had the chance to use it. Breakfast is quick and easy with soooo many different choices from cold to hot. I am never disappointed. Overall great stay and a great value.
This Best Western Hotel in the heart of the Sandhills of North Carolina needs some tender loving care and updating. The outside of the hotel appears inviting. While checking in the guest might find a cookie waiting for them, if there are any left. We arrived in the room to find the room humid with a musty order. Turned on the AC down low hoping the room would dry out, but even the over stuffed chair seemed to be wet. The bed, while comfortable, was damp with humidity, and remained so for our four day stay. Too rest a weary head upon for the night were four very small half pillows; not much comfort. The decor was very dated and the bathroom had just enough towels (2 each) for a single night stay. While the breakfast was of normal motel fare, the staff person was helpful and willing to talk to each customer. The front desk staff member was not as comfortable with conversation. All in all this older Best Western unit is showing its age and could use updates and an AC unit able to dry out the room's humid condition without turned the AC down to 65 degrees.
Came to town for a funeral, booked 2 rooms. Great location, breakfast was ok, ask for the poolside if you like swimming. Issue was resolved quickly, wish it never occurred but overall...we came, we slept, we left!
Was happy with my overall stay for the daily rate of $69 a night. I was there for a golf event and the other "resorts" nearby were charging $110 or more a night and Best Western delivered the same things those resorts would deliver but at a better rate. They had breakfast/comfy bed/pool and they were 6 min away from the golf course! Lots of places to eat nearby and if I needed to shop there was a Walmart and other places to go pick up amenities etc.
My family ended up booking three rooms here, which satisfied all tastes. Great location with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and access to events around the area. Good off street parking and helpful staff.
Impressed with the service, quick, affordable, negotiable of pricing and clean and well kept. The only drawback I can come up with was that the bathroom was extremely compact. But other than that good place to stay!
Check in and out was a breeze. Room was very spacious, especially the bathroom. AC and fridge ice cold. Pool was super relaxing and especially liked the location for the pool (in the back, away from the road. Several times, I had the entire pool to myself. Laundry room was easily accessed and I did not have to try and find quarters bc I just swiped my debit card to start machines. Front rooms face a really busy and loud street if you are light sleeper, recommend asking for a back side room.
This is the 2nd straight year we have stayed at this particular BW. Although the hotel is a bit dated the rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was courteous, professional, and friendly. The continental breakfast was sufficient, and was included in the price of the room. It was fantastic value being that it was less than $65.00 per night. For those looking to do a long golf weekend or possibly longer I would recommend checking out this Best Western
The staff at the Best Western are among the most friendly I have encountered. They are very courteous and responsive to anything you need. The grounds are very nice and the rooms clean. As for the breakfast, it is an amazing buffet breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fruit, oatmeals, cereals, toast, bagals, and much more - all included in the price of the room!
Very clean facility and room, front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient for being included in the sub-$70 room rate, no complaints. Location was very convenient to Southern Pines and Pinehurst restaurants and shopping. One of the best values in accommodations I've had in a long time.
The staff Personnel that we spoke to were very friendly and very nice. However twice someone was in our room going through our stuff. We checked in late in the afternoon and went to the pool and when we came back everything was moved. So when we went to dinner we took a picture of how the room looked. When we came back from dinner bags were dumped out and everything looked different. Someone was definitely in our room when we were gone. The bed was very hard and not comfortable to me. There was a dirty towel in the closet.
I travel to the area 1-2 times/month and always stay at this BW for several reasons: they are unfailingly helpful; staff respond very quickly to issues once made aware; the beds are great and rooms to the back of the property are quiet; breakfast is a nice perk
The hotel consists of two two-story buildings with a lovely garden between them. Our first floor room facing the center garden came with a small microwave, small refrigerator (no freezer compartment) table and two chairs, beds, night stand, dresser, tall lamp and wall lamp between the beds. All the staff we spoke with during our two day stay were very friendly and eager to help in any way they could. We questioned whether our refrigerator was cold enough; the man stopped what he was doing and came to check. Great cookies are available in the afternoon. Local and USA Today are available in the morning. The included breakfast is very good - excellent make your own waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, sweet rolls, cereal, juices and much more. Southern Pines/Pinecrest is a beautiful area and this was a good reasonably priced stop.
This is a good value for your money. welcoming staff, nice lounge and pool. The room décor is a little dated but it is very clean. the nearness to amenities and golf courses is very nice and allows for quick trisk when needed.
Hotel is inviting ,clean and in very good repair. Location is perfect for golf, antiquing, boutique shopping and many good places to eat. Every afternoon the hotel has cookies or popcorn in lobby. There is a microwave and fridge in every room. Nice outdoor pool. Pack your bags and have a great time.
We booked for one night at the Best Western Pinehurst Inn to visit friends nearby. I frequently book at Best Western because they have a pet friendly policy and don't charge more for the pet than the cost of the room as some motels do. Plus the room is usually clean and comfortable. We arrived around five o'clock and checked in. The motel was not crowded. As I requested, our room was by the pool. Anxious to get our dog outside for some quick play time and to get her accustomed to the room before we left for dinner, we didn't inspect the room closely. We did notice an odor but it wasn't strong. We put our dog in her crate and left for dinner. When we returned, I took my shoes off and noticed that the rug felt damp and looked stained in a couple of places. My husband took a shower and said the tub didn't drain leaving him standing in dirty water. The worst discovery came in the morning when I saw that the bed had no mattress pad and only a sheet between us and the mattress! That is disgusting! Think of how many people have slept on that bed!! Gross! Total negligence on the housekeeping staff! First time ever to not leave a tip! We couldn't wait to leave! I told them at the desk and the reply was, "We're sorry." We would have definitely changed rooms had we discovered everything earlier. You just don't expect that from Best Western, at least I didn't!
We enjoyed our recent two night stay at BW Pinehurst Inn. It's an older hotel and the staff treats all guests as VIPs. Good price plus pet fee for a comfortable and restful stay. We will definitely stay there again!
In the process of moving from Florida to Pinehurst North Carolina and waiting for our furniture to arrive on Tuesday. The hotel and pool are lovely and well-maintained. I was disappointed in the quality of the breakfast.
Took my granddaughter to CIC event and chose Best Western due to overall quality and price. Room was clean. Stay was only one night but would stay there again if in the area. Restaurants available nearby and room was quiet.
You don't get what you don't pay for! This was a last minute choice, booked on Hotels.com. The room was OK. The breakfast was OK. The check-in/check-out was OK. Not a destination, just passing though.
We have stayed at this BW many times over the past 10 plus years. Unfortunately, it is beginning to show it's age (just like me). However, unlike me, makeovers are possible for hotels. Room was clean, beds comfortable and employees were courteous, but not as friendly/helpful as I remember our past experiences. Breakfast was not up to par with other BWs. Would probably consider another hotel next time we are passing through Pinehurst.
The hotel is conveniently located, the staff are friendly and the stay was comfortable. It was disappointing that the toilet was not clean. The hotel is what I expected overall and I would give them a second chance when I'm in Pinehurst.
We work in Southern PInes about 5-6 times a year, always for multiple days and for business, and usually for several days each time. We always stay at this Best Western, and put the people who work for us here as well. It is an old fashioned hotel ( rooms open to the outside) that has been very much upgraded. They have a GREAT breakfast, room is clean and comfortable with good amenities,(coffee station, fridge and microwave) and staff is helpful. We always travel with pets, and their pet rooms are clean and convenient. They have added a 'pet station' outside with clean-up bags and a bag disposal. They have kept their prices reasonable if you have AAA, AARP or a Rewards Member. Also, close some very good restaurants.
Very nice place to stay. Clean room and a comfortable bed. Great customer service. I gave a 4 star because you could hear the noise outside. I worked nights so I don't know how quiet it was during the night.
very nice inn.. easy & friendly check-in... located right on main "drag"..restaurants near by...from our room to ice machine was a walk, normally more centrally located..they are pet friendly but to reach sidewalk have to go through bushes or up an incline..for "older" folks a bit difficult..there was a patch of grass near our room we used in a hurry but scooped the poop right up..we would stay here again if ever in this lovely area!!
Rooms have no odor at all, clean clean clean! Staff so pleasant, amenities just what is needed for a short business or pleasure stay. Rooms plenty large, beds comfortable and TV's actually work. Over 30 years of visiting Aberdeen, this is my first at Best Western and it is by far the best hotel in the area that I have been in.
Always stay here when possible in the area. Staff is always considerate and wanting to make sure your stay is one to remember! Hot breakfast, easy internet, located to all local shopping and food areas. Comfortable rooms.
We stayed here while visiting friends who lived just a mile away. The hotel was well maintained, our room was quiet, the bed comfortable, the breakfast about what you expect at most of these types of hotels, and the staff could not have been friendlier. It was very reasonably priced and, had we wanted find things to do or places to eat, it was well located. I would gladly stay at the Pinehurst Inn on our next trip to the area.
I have stayed here many times over the years. The management has kept the accommodations fresh and up to date. The rooms are comfortable, and the heater/air conditioners have a setting for constant fan, which is important to me because the white noise keeps things calm. My TV didn't work properly; they changed my room with ease. I left my computer cord behind; they found and returned it. The breakfast is typical motel fare, but certainly satisfactory.
Clean rooms, very friendly staff and welcoming to dogs. The king room was large, had a microwave and refrigerator. Wide screen TV with lots of channels. Lots of clean grass for exercising dogs. The rooms facing the pool get noise from the pool area but this was not a huge problem.
The front desk staff was excellent. However, the rooms could have been a little cleaner and the cleaning staff needs some sort of professional development training. They we loud outside our door early in the morning one day and knocked at 9 in the morning to see if we were checking out early, despite there being a 'do not disturb' sign on the door both times. There was items along the bed frame under the skirt that didn't belong to us indicating they didn't clean well. The hotel itself is very well appointed with a nice outdoor pool and a decent free breakfast. The rooms are nicely situated with flat screen tvs, microwaves and refrigerators. I'd prefer to have my sink in the bathroom and not in the room. Don't expect to use the WiFi cause the signal is too weak or it's too slow to be effective. Overall, with a better effort from the cleaning staff, I would definitely stay here again.
stayed here a couple of months ago and was happy. But this time the carpet was stained and ratty and the ceiling was stained. I could stay at a competitor right next door and save $40/night, and next time I probably will.
Had booked this to visit a sick relative about a half hour away. sadly, he passed away and it became a funeral visit instead. The property was packed with a biker group and they were very loud. This property is more like a motor hotel, with no interior hallways. The room wasn't as noisy as expected but it was not exactly quiet either. The rooms were clean but dated but the exterior was very nice, as well. The Crepe Myrtle trees were abloom and were very pretty. The breakfast room was clean and the choices were okay.
I always use this Best Western. I love it and my kids love too. Every time go to North Carolina visit family and friends, we look for to stay in this Best Western. Staff is awesome, there is a clean comfortable room to stay, with internet and cable access and in the morning an excellent breakfast and a quick and easy check out. We always order a roll-away bed too. So everybody is happy until the little one. WE have being staying there for over 5 years. We used that Hotel for family reunions and mother's day and Christmas visit. BEST visit stay yet !
The hotel was a bit dated and could use some upgrades, however it was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. This hotel was included in our golf package from Maples Golf Packages. They offered a typical continental breakfast, eggs, waffles, cereal, pastries. However, they do offer an above average selection of coffee ranging from decaf, breakfast bend, medium blend, and a dark roast. The hotel is centrally located allowing for short travel time to restaurants and the areas many golf courses. I would stay here again and I definitely would recommend staying here to anyone looking for somewhere to stay on your next golf outing.
I gave this hotel a 5 star rating which might be a touch generous, but I really enjoyed my stay here. I had just moved and hadn't yet found a local kennel to board my dog but had to visit the Pinehurst area and needed to find a dog friendly hotel quickly. I called the hotel directly and confirmed my canine pal would not be a problem. From the moment I made the reservation the process dealing with Best Western was effortless. Immediate confirmation via email; a quick and easy check-in with the staff being helpful, friendly and welcoming my dog with a treat. The bed might have been a little softer than I like. The towels might have been a little thin. There was a slight leak at the sink. Those minor things aside, the room was comfortable, the included breakfast was great and offered anything one could have wanted, and the price for the room with dog charge was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to a friend.
-Extremely uncomfortable bed -No seal on door - guest next door smoked outside room all night and filled room with smoke -Used condom on ground outside -A/C did not stay cold and kicked on every 5 minutes
Great Staff, Great place, clean and convenient. I will stay here the next time I visit. The only thing I do not like is that this survey wants me to have at least 200 characters which is absurd. I have used 196 but this last sentence makes it 200.
Used this hotel for a family reunion. All of our rooms had bad plumbing issues. The showers backed up and the toilets barely flushed. Nothing that the hotel could fix. The phones also did not work. The hotel staff is very nice however the owner does not seem to care that the building need professional maintenance services.
I was very well pleased, and most pleased with how the staff treated me. I would recommend this Inn to my friends and to other businesses. The staff treated you as if you were a guest, they were kind and would go out of there way to help or do something for you. I needed a refresher on the area and roads, as this area had built up so much in the past two years. I came to the area on business and was pleased with the asthetics of the Inn.
Room looked nice. But the bed was like sleeping on a kitchen table. It was hard an very uncomfortable. My husband had a back ache for days. Then there were bugs in the bathroom. When I told the front desk they didn't seemed concerned about it. Will not stay there ever again and would not recommend.
The hotel property was clean and very attractive. The front staff didn't seem to know which rooms were clean and available; my first room had not been cleaned and the 2nd room was not easily accessible from handicap parking. I had my dog with me and the staff were very nice to her!
We met family for a wedding here and one of the others chose this motel. I generally prefer a hotel (no doors open to outside) for safety and comfort reasons. The service quality at this motel was well above average. The room was a bit worn but had some updating done and clean. The bed was comfortable, so all good there... then the air conditioner began to run and it sounded like there was a car in the room! When tasked with choosing between stuffy and uncomfortable and noisy, we chose occasional noise. It woke us or caused us to jump each time it came on - so loud! I couldn't bear to complain, though, because the staff was so helpful at every other turn. A housekeeper let us into the pool area and offered the alternate use of a meeting room when our family (twelve of us met here and chose to stay at the same motel so that we could visit before and after a family wedding). When someone who was in a room facing the pool area complained that we were talking too loud - it was 9:30 on a Saturday night - he gently asked us to quiet a bit but let us stay. The breakfast was ample, delicious, and good with a great gathering space there, as well.
Surly and apathetic front desk staff. They refused to accommodate the simplest of requests. Example, while with a car show group they refused to provide a simple garden hose for car washing. Rooms reeked of years of accumulated cig. smoke.
For the cost, this was a very quiet place to stay with a pretty decent breakfast included. I was very disappointed that the pool had not been opened for the season and the bed was very firm, which is not my preference, but it is clean and close to everything.
I was in need of respite due to relocating. I was exhausted!! Accommodations were comfortable, pricing was competitive. Front desk staff were super accommodating! Will recommend to everyone. This is a great place to stay!
I spend in this hotel whole week, and If you lower your expectation, you are going to like this place. Rooms are big enough, with not the best noise cancellation and doors are not sealed enough. So if outside is chilly, inside is chilly too, or you can turn on the heater which is noisy. Breakfast are from plastic plates with almost anything to choose. Location of this hotel, does the most important role why I can recommend it. For dinner you can go to near by nice restaurants, you can drive a bit and run around Aberdeen lake or do whatever you want. Staff is friendly and they try to solve all of your problems.
staff friendly and rooms very clean...great place to stay in the Pinehurst area..good central location. food is good and selection good too.. internet connection was fast. they allow pets and good place to walk your pooches...
Very clean. Great staff. The only issue was with parking. There were several trucks with trailors hitched that took up several parking spots. If you stay on the second floor, it can be awkward trying to park near the stairwell that leads to your room just because house it splits. The staff that we encountered were very friendly. The hotel is in a very good location.
We have stayed at this hotel many times while visiting relatives in the area. We have found consistent quality of service, clean rooms, comfortable beds resulting in a good nights sleep. Breakfast is typical for BW hotels. Coffee excellent;best of all this Best Western location is Pet Friendly !
This has been our "go-to" hotel in Southern Pines for several years and we have always been pleased with the comfort of the beds and the overall setup of the hotel and lobby. We put people there who work for us as well and they have always been happy there - especially with the breakfast. We are also happy they take pets. The overall value for the product is very good, plus the staff is friendly and the facility clean. We plan to book more rooms this year.
Hotel has everything you need ...very clean, wonderful staff...and close to stores...great location.. Sleep quality was special..staff was more than knowledeable on the area...that is key to a hotel. i will return to this hotel.
Was planning on driving further south that evening but saw this hotel and decided to stay in Pinehurst. Most excellent choice, hotel was wonderful and reasonably priced. Very nice new hotel with excellent breakfast facility and fitness center. This is a rel hideen gem.
This is a great hotel to stay at. It is close to lots of food places and lots of things to do. Their are a lot of one of a kind places to shop at. It is close to Pinehurst golf course and their are lots of shops in Pinehurst Village and also Southern Pines area is also a great place to spend the day with shopping and dinning.
Caroline Lopez and Ayanna McMillian made this Best Western excellent. They helped me with directions, so I could attend a conference. I was also allowed to have an early check in. I thought the pet fee was very reasonable and no deposit was required. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet worked. The bed slept well. I thought it was a very nice place for the money.
A great value. An older Best Western that could use a little updating in decor. My room was clean and bed comfortable. Internet was fast. Room had small refrigerator and microwave; that's a nice touch.
Staff had difficulty locating our reservation made ahead of time through Expedia. To get to our second floor room, we carried our luggage up three flights of stairs. No elevators and no staff to assist. Office staff provided little or no customer service. We had a huge water leak in the room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Good place to stay , clean rooms, close to area malls and restaurants.Have stayed here several weeks for business. Hotel staff is pleasant to deal with, usually up at 4:30am having coffee while the late night gentleman is preparing coffee and breakfast.
This facility is very well maintained with friendly staff. Rooms are clean although mildly outdated. The price is very reasonable. Breakfast features a nice variety and there is a dining area in the back with tables and chairs. Rooms face the parking lot and there is some noise when guests leave in the early morning, but that is to be expected from this type of property design. A good value for the price.
We stay almost exclusively in Best Westerns and know they go from just OK to really great. This one in Southern Pines was in the really great category. Everything was clean, everything in the room worked, and the breakfast area was wonderful - large and clean. The lady in charge of the breakfast area (Caroline?) was very helpful and friendly. I would have no problem staying at this location next time we are through there.
We had wonderful staff and hospitality from Best Western - everyone was courteous and polite and friendly especially with our late checkouts due to our schedules and activities and my sister being handicapped in a non-handicapped room. I might suggest that you get a few mobile devices like a raised toilet seat or portable toilet seat when handicapped rooms are full. We loved breakfast - we had all our favorite foods because you had all our favorite foods. It was delicious.
I DO NOT recommend this hotel. The door didn't lock, very noisy. Hotel did not speak to people yelling both in and out of the hotel or their rooms. It was a free for all througout the night. I could hear AND feel people walking past! The housekeeper came into the room before I checked out and moved all my stuff and stripped the beds and got mad at me for coming to get myself before I checked out.
We were greeted by a super friendly staff. All helpful and hospitable but the facility is worn and needs maintenance. broken fixtures were not fixed. Not a place I would choose for a vacation but it was funcional.
booked using Booking.com. Fortuntely I printed my confirmation, because the hotel did not have me on their list. They were able to give e a room and honored the rate I had been quoted. Room very nice, beds ok but not great. My wife used toilet and flushed and we left for about 4 hours Came back to find the toilet stopped up. callled desk and they said maintenance folks had left. brought me a bucket and 2 plungers! I was able to clear clog after 20 minutes of plunger/ siphoning work. NOT good customer service to make your guests do plumbers work
We were looking forward to a nice brisk swim, most pools are closed after Labor Day. We love the pool and courtyard, unfortunatly the rain started as soon as we were dressed to swim. our stay was still nice. Really like this location.
We were travelling south with our dog & cat and needed a motel/hotel that accepted dogs over 40 pounds. This hotel did. It was clean, quiet, reasonably priced and had the best bed I've slept on in ages. The breakfast had the usual assortment of bacon, sausages, make your own waffles, biscuits & gravy, muffins, and cereal. The morning we were there the eggs weren't available so the staff gave me the last breakfast bun with eggs, sausage and cheese on a biscuit. The coffee was great and they had regular tea and green tea. It was a really good overnight. Oh and the charge per pet was $10.
We stay at the BW Pinehurst several times a year when we come to Pinehurst to play golf. It is a great location, the staff is always friendly & the rooms are clean as well as other areas of the hotel.
Breakfast selections good. Spacious area with tables available to eat breakfast. Large two story property but has no elevator. Be sure to request first floor if carrying heavy luggage will be a problem. Wish they had queen size beds instead of doubles.
The rooms were on the outside of the building and we had to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the second floor. The rooms were average to a little less than average and they were marginally clean. For the price we paid to stay at this Best Western, I was disappointed in the appearance of the room. The staff was nice and if I ever go back to Southern Pines again, I will try a different hotel.
