Best Western Plus Atrium Inn

Been here before, good location in-between New Braunfels and San Antonio..... didn't get greeted as a Diamond member either time and wasn't offered water this time, and when we wanted some water later, it was not a welcomed request for some reason to the person we asked.... Breakfast was big with many options of hot food like bacon, fried potatoes, sausage gravy and biscuits, waffles but didn't care for the reconstituted scrambled eggs, hard boiled would've been good as they have at other BW's, cereals and assorted breads....... the breakfast was way more than enough for adults and kids..... unfortunately, the dining room was VERY WARM, it's March now, I hope they keep it cold for summer. Bed was too firm for me hard to get comfy , woke up a lot and ended up sitting in the soft chair and napped. Wouldn't say there again because of the bed, unless they have softer options in other rooms, whatever pad they had on it is definitely not working..... great shower though with lots of water pressure in room 116., but the shower curtain didn't seem to block the water, the whole floor flooded so had to use most of the towels to soak it up. I did forget to mention that to the front desk though.

My room and sheets smelled musty. The wallpaper was peeling from the bathroom walls. The front-desk personnel were not the friendliest. My battery died as I was departing. Instead of offering to call someone for help, I was told to ask another guest for help. The breakfast bar was good. The lady who tends the breakfast was friendly and courteous. The sauna and heated pool were nice.

The room was disgusting. Stains on curtains. Old spinach in chair. Brown, hopefully mud clump on floor. Someone's hair in the sheets. Elevator “worked” it took about 5 minutes to travel between floors, and it would close on you regardless if you tried to stop the door from closing. It also beeped the entire time the door closed. Staff were helpful, but they made it seem like a problem to help you.

Excellent and very memorable trip to my alum and knowing other places in Texas such as Seguin, Kennedy, Corpus Cristy and San Antonino. Apart from the traffic coming into and out of Austin areas, the trip to the University of Texas (Austin) is very worthwhile...since I graduated from UT Austin 35 years ago!!

A great place to stay. A clean and quiet location. A knowledgeable and caring staff. Breakfast is great. A large selection of choices and all is fresh served. Conveniently located on the outskirts of San Antonio, near Retama Park. Will stay here again.

I'm not that picky. There is a lot I overlook, but when I went to the attendant to say that the only washer for customer use was broken, he didn't care to apologize that I was going to have to pull out the soapy clothes and go wash in the tub and sink in my room. He gave me back the $2 I spent on the washer, but not the $10 I used on soap. He was rude like it wasn't his problem. No apology, no solution to my problem although they have washers they use for hotel laundry. Just mean. I had to go wash and hang up clothes all over my room as the dryer was busy (apparently Same thing happened to another customer) the attendant didn't rush to get a sign on washer, or the same thing wouldn't have happen to me.

My wife and I booked this hotel to stay one night while visiting Natural Bridge Caverns with our 6 yr old granddaughter. The room rate was very good. Our stay here was not disappointing in any way. The room was very very adequate, comfortable, and quiet. It is a quiet hotel. The pool area inside along with a hot tub was also very nice to use. Breakfast was very adequate. Would stay here again if need to and will recommend.

Now that it's summer time, I wanted to let my children swim but it's so hot here and this hotel had an indoor pool! What made it even better was the availability of a poolside room. My kids were able to just go through the sliding door and straight to the pool. So convenient! The breakfast was really good too. We are definitely going back.

Cancelled reservation before the cancellation time. They lied and said I stayed at the hotel when I did not. Kept 56,000 points. They don't answer their phones or hang up. Reporting them to Best Western.

Clean, safe. It has a great indoor pool and spa. Delicious breakfast included with several options for the whole family. Staff is nice. Location is great, walking distance to restaurants and shopping center.

The hotel was located near the Natural Bridge Caverns and the Wildlife Park we were going to visit. It was a pleasure coming back to the hotel being able to walk to several places to eat the go for a swim in the indoor pool. The Atrium area was just beautiful.

The hotel is located in a great area. It is close to shopping and restaurants. My husband and I really appreciated the special touches such as the toilet paper shaped into a flower, the special way the towels were folded and other details in the room. Also - the pillows aren't the regular hotel pillows where your head sinks down to the mattress. The pillows at this hotel were perfect! We brought our own pillows from home, but didn't even use them. We also loved the free coffee, hot chocolate, latte and other hot drinks available in the lobby. The free breakfast was also very good!

First Best Western in the San Antonio area that I felt deserved its ratings. Very clean, quiet, well maintained. Only complaint was the vanity area is small. Very clean and well maintained pool and hot tub facility.

Excellent Hotel. Friendly and Helpful Staff. Easy access on and off Interstate 35. Clean rooms and good strong internet service. Breakfast staff was very attentive to make sure items were replaced when needed and also friendly to everyone.

The best Hotel in San Antonio. Great Hot Breakfast ! Love the Incredible Coffee Machine and Water dispenser! Caring and polite staff. Only 1 clerk was not very accommodating. (only on 2 occasions) Check in is fast and very easy. We always stay at Plus Atrium Inn in Schertz . We are Diamond Members. We feel like family every time !

Twice I was woken up by a couple and their children play fighting at 12:30a.m. and again about 2 a.m. to the point you could hear them in the hallway. Mother has not control as all she did was tell them to knock it off while dad was no where to be heard. The other thing I believe to very unsafe is the first floor rooms have sliding functional doors with only a very thin rod keeping them closed. This seem to work perfectly for the neighbors as the dad stood outside smoking and caring on a conversation like it was the middle of the day, but in actuality it was almost 3 am. Will definitely not stay here again mainly for the safety issue. And given the proximity of the noisy neighbors to the front desk staff should have heard the noise.

We like to stay at the Arboretum when we make the trip to San Antonio for flea market shopping. There are many choices for meals, easy access to the Highway and we love the hot tub under the skylights. It's so relaxing after walking all day!

Decided to change to this best western in our stay to attend a funeral in New Braunfels. Love the hotel. Nice people. loved the music playing in the hall. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Especilly loved the latte machine that was available when we got back after a late evening. My only wish was that the hot tub would have been open for adults say after it closed at 9:00 when we got back at 9:30.

The staff was great. We arrived late at night. The young man on duty was wonderful. All of the staff was great. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was fantastic. Overall great stay. Will definitely be back again

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com. I checked in and requested a room on the inside as I was traveling alone for a family funeral. The man at the desk told me that I had already selected my room and it was assigned. I told him I didn't request any room I just made a booking and he informed me that when You don't book directly with Best Western You don't get a select room. I took the keys and I went to my room it was upstairs down two long dark hallways. It the very last room in the corner of the building next to the store room. The pictures of this hotel oversell the condition. I went back downstairs and I told the man that I did not like the room and I did not like walking down that long dark hallway and I did not feel safe there. I was told there was nothing they would do. I left and went to dinner with my friend. When I returned I asked her to come up and make an assessment as to whether I was being unreasonable. As we walked down the hallway there was a man laying on the floor outside the store room beside my door. It totally creeped both of us out. She did not even want to leave me there. I called Hotels and requested a rebook to another hotel. I grab my bag and went to leave while I had them on the phone. I dropped my keys at the front desk and I told the man I was leaving. He asked me what the problem was and I told him that I had already told him what the problem was and he wasn't willing to remedy it. On top of the creepy hallway and the man layng on the floor, there was a wet dirty wash cloth on top of the shower soap dispenser. Even though I had checked in and left three hours later Hotels did not give me the option me to post review. The man at the front desk told me he was going to charge me one night stay which they did. It is a horrible horrible place with rude and inconsiderate front desk staff. I use a booking site quite often for business travel and I have been a gold member of hotels for 10 years. I have never received such horrible treatment. If it's true that you get inferior rooms for booking through those sites, I am going to reconsider using them even though it is convenient to have your reservations in one spot.

We normally stay at this hotel whenever we travel to Bussey's Flea Market. The indoor pool and hot tub are a huge draw for us, as is the proximity to several of our favorite restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is always good and the service is wonderful. Yogi is a very nice man and a benefit to the hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed the greeting by the staff. My room was immaculate and the food was delicious. The maid kept my room spotless. The hotel was very safe and the other guests were friendly. The internet worked weel.

1. The person who checked me in was rude. 2. The room smelled terrible. Come to find out it was an plugin air freshener that was trying to cover up a smell. 3. The shampoo dispenser didn't work or was empty. 4. My shower on the hottest setting was like warm. 5. The room was making me sick. I had a headache and congestion and would go outside and it would clear up. Probably whatever the plug in was masking was making me sick. 6. When checking out a day early, was never asked about my stay, couldn't get a receipt or proof I was checking out, and was told the manager would call me and it never happened. 7. My credit card is still holding the full amount of 3 nights even though I only stayed 2. My first and last time staying in a Best Western.

I booked this room for my mother and sister. The front desk attendant was disrespectful to my mother after she inquired about handicap accessibility for my sister. All she wanted was to see the room. The male attendant treated her poorly referencing they already got paid since the room was booked. No desire to provide any level of service for a customer who was simply inquiring about accessibility for someone with a disability. If you have special needs or love someone who does don't book a room here. My mother was so offended she left and paid for a room at a different hotel.

A little older property, though well maintained and clean. Breakfast was also of better than average quality. Would recommend for friends and family visiting Schertz, TX. Shower was strong and hot!!!!

Everything about staying at this hotel was great. The warm greeting when we checked in and out. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom very clean. There were scrambled eggs, biscuits, crisp bacon, steak fries, and waffles for the hot foods. There was fresh fruit, cereal, assorted pastries, and yogurt for the cold offerings. Wonderfully good coffee, as well as orange and apple juice and whole and skim milk. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel.

Pro Tip: pay extra to get a pool side room. You can step from your room right into the atrium covered patio at any time of the day or night. SO NICE! I have stayed here twice and will stay again when I am in the area. From the first greeting at the front desk to relaxing at one of the small tables in the atrium, I feel like I have entered a fancy hotel from another era in a movie. Every person I have met at the front desk makes me feel like I am in a first class hotel. They are dressed neatly in button up collared shirts, and greet me with sincere smiles and exuding a feeling of respect and service. This is one of the only Best Western's where they recognize me for being a Diamond member and thank me. Not that it is a big deal that I am a Diamond member, but it shows they took the time to look at my reservation with more than a cursory glance. I think the whole hotel reflects this same spirit. There is something about this place that makes me feel like more than a cursory glance guest. The front lobby couches and decor has a classy yet warm living room feel. My favorite place is the atrium where you can sit in quiet under picturesque balconies and palm trees at small wrought iron tables. There is a wam breakfast that is always a step up at my spending level. In some places, like the bed sheets and covers, you can see that they had a budget, but for me, they put their money in the right place: service and atmosphere. Another plus: keurig coffee maker in each room.

We chose this hotel each year for our annual trip. The indoor pool is nice for kids during the colder months and getting a pool side room makes it even more convenient. Breakfast is always a great selection and staff is always so helpful. This is our 5th year using this hotel and will continue for more.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The managers were very helpful and bent over backwards to make sure we had a wonderful stay. My husband especially loved the Atrium and pool. We will be returning to this hotel the next time we are in the San Antonio area. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The beds were very comfortable, too.

Located right off the major highway. Loads of stores and gas stations including Costco gas nearby. Denny's restaurant right next door. The pool in the Atrium was warm but cloudy. The hot tub was nice. TV remote was not compatible with with the Samsung TV but I noticed that about the remotes in a lot of the places I stayed at. One thing that really annoyed me is how inconsiderate one or two of the guests were that day because they chose to hide the hotel luggage transport carts in their room over night. Too those, I truly hope Karma got back at you for being so selfish and inconsiderate. Some people leave early in the AM. I am a person with a handicap placard. I needed that cart. I had to make three trips to my car. Luckily I was on the first floor. I checked the hallways of all the rooms and a cart was not located. A system should be developed that you need to turn in your drivers license when using the carts.

My daughter needed to be at Randolph AFB bright and early so we needed a place to stay that was relatively close. This hotel had one of the better prices. The building appeared older and didn't have much landscaping. Inside also appeared older but was clean and well kept. The gentleman at the front desk was welcoming and extremely pleasant. The decor of the room seemed older, but was very clean. The beds were good, the shower was good, the air conditioning was good. Everything worked well and we were satisfied. We would stay at this location again.

This hotel is in need of an update. Towels and bedsheets were clean but room is outdated and old. Wallpaper peeling in the bathroom, marks on the walls. Pool is small but hot tub is nice however the paint is chipping and you track paint chips everywhere.

The atrium area was beautiful. A great place for a family to gather or a place to rewind after a busy day of traveling. We had a nice view of the atrium from our room. The room and the restroom was a bit small (we had a room with two queen beds), so I would suggest reserving a larger room.

I selected this hotel based on price and reviews. While the rooms are very basic and not frilly, it was perfect for a short visit to the area for a sports tournament. Room was large enough for three of us to move around in comfortably. Bathroom area was a little tight. Room and hotel were clean which is a huge must for me. Bed was comfortable (firm) which is how I prefer to sleep. Overall for the price we paid compared to other hotels in the area, I would say this hotel was a great option. If you are picky or only like "new" hotels, this one will fall short of your expectations, but if basic, clean, quiet and friendly staff is okay with you, this is a good spot.

First mistake was assuming this was going to be a great Best Western...I've never had a good experience with a Best Western and this one proved me correct. The hotels were booked and this was a last resort. It was old, smelly and lacked the charm of most hotels in the area. Driving to San Antonio instead of stopping in Schertz would have been a better choice.

We stay here several times a year for work. My staff are pleased when we stay at this hotel. There are several food options nearby. The front desk always has our rooms ready. He is very polite. The rooms are spacious and clean. I prefer an outside first floor balcony room and they accommodate whenever possible.

The location is right on Interstate 35 N access road. You can get downtown San Antonio in about 15-20 minutes if you know where you are going. Clean hotel. Very kind front desk people. Didn't try the breakfast. Our room met basic necessities, and next door to Denny's restaurant. We would stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

Clean, super friendly staff, king bed a little too wobbly, sank in a bit, not any real support but better than being too firm.... Once we laid down we slept good.....grab n go breakfast microwavable kolaches, pkgd danishes, tangerines,juice dispenser, almost perfect shower if the shower head wasn't so high on the wall, couldn't reach to adjust and I'm not a short female, my hubby had to change the setting for me. But awesome water pressure. Close to freeways, shopping and endless restaurants. Close to New Braunfels we prefer this one to the ones directly in NB...

I stayed 3 days and there was no internet the entire time I was there! The only time I could get their internet was in the parking lot!! The beds were rock hard and there was no shampoo and conditioner in the shower. At $130 a night I expected more!!!

Right when we walked in the lobby smelled fresh and cleaned. The workers, housekeepers were so friendly. I was amazed how cleaned they had the rooms and how they care to follow covid-19 procedures. I definitely recommend staying here. The location is very convenient and they have a beautiful pool area!

Very enjoyable stay, The front desk employee was extremely helpful and polite. The pool was fun and the hot tub just right. The Atrium makes the experience very enjoyable. All of the hotel was very well kept and clean. The bedding not as fluffy and comfy as other places, but still very comfortable.

I came to S.A. for my mother's funeral. I arrived at the hotel around 1:00 PM. I explained my situation to the general manager and asked for an early check-in. He said there was nothing he could do and come back at 3:00. I asked him why was there not ONE room clean by 1:00 in the evening on a Thursday. Instead of being compassionate he was rude! He also continued it when I checked out 2 days later!

Friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms.Great complimentary breakfast choices each morning. The waffles are the best! Lots of free parking. Beautiful pool & patio area with hot tub.It is landscaped near the pool giving it a relaxing tropical appearance. Easy access to shopping & a variety of restaurants. Safe and inviting for people of all ages. Nice retreat for Seniors!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful and the property is well taken care of. We stay here every time that we are in town and have never been disappointed. Breakfast is good and we always enjoy the pool!

It's alright accommodations. Don't expect a full restful night. The hotel is right off the freeway so it's quite noisy at night especially if your room is facing toward outside of the building. The beds are mediocre with smaller then standard size pillows. It seems like an older building that wallpaper in the bathroom are peeling and molding. However it was nice to have access to your own microwave, refrigerator, and single cup coffee maker. We didn't get a chance to try out the indoor/atrium pool. It looks inviting though. The breakfast was surprisingly good...lots of hot/cold choices and it changed each day (Sat/Sun). The hotel is definitely close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

This Property is very clean and Beautiful with a lovely glassed in Atrium area with seating a pool and hot tub, we stayed in a ground floor pool side room that had a sliding glass patio door that leads you into the atrium area which is very handy, the rooms are very quiet considering the Hotel is right of of I-35, No road noise at all. Loved the decor of the room and the bathroom had dispensers on the wall with Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner Very cool alternative to those tiny little shampoo bottles and bars of soap. The room had a Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods and the hot breakfast had a real nice selection of Hot items including bacon, sausage, potatoes, diced ham and shredded cheese. Of course the Texas Shaped waffles by my favorite the yogurt machine with plenty of topping options. There is a little store next to the Front Desk for those late night Sweet Tooth cravings. Very fast in room internet and the bedside table offered a charging station for the phones and plenty of outlets for other electronics

Stayed there 3 nights. On the second night had to kill a cockroach in the lavatory area while I was getting ready to head out. Then while having breakfast in the common area, I saw a mouse running along the checkin desk and saw it dart into the snack area. Alerted the front desk, but all he did was look for it with a flashlight...never saw pest control come out.

Do Not Stay Here!!! The manager on duty was a complete jerk to us. We were hung up on twice by him. Customer service like this is inexcusable. I will never think about staying here again. I would suggest the comfort suite down the road

BW Plus hotels have world wide Exceptional constant service. Reception outstanding. Bar service great. Atrium the best. Parking spacious. Most key whether in France or Texas was the constant Excellent staff service.

I tried this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and found it to have been very over-rated although adequate on a somewhat lower plane. It is very noisy on two counts - right beside Interstate Highway 35 so lots of road noise and poor wall sound isolation so lots of neighbor noise. The ceiling noise isolation appeared to be OK. The hotel claims to enforce non-smoking rooms but you learn better when you walk from your car past the smokers hanging out the windows and sharing second-hand smoke with you on your way to your smoke-free room. These were mostly contractors. In fact, half the guests appear to have been contractors (Pest Control, A/C repair, etc.) The hotel has not heard of bath sized soap bars; I had one face soap bar to last for the entire three days of my stay, sharing time between sink and bath tub. Paper thin the third day. Once you are undressed for a shower running down to the Front Desk to get a new bar is not appealing. We usually stay in Hampton Inns so the thought of a soap-less hotel had never before entered into my thinking. Leaving the hotel is not easy as you backtrack down an alley road to FM 3009 where there is no traffic light to facilitate your turn onto FM 3009. In contrast to most everything else, the hotel has a very nice breakfast buffet - fresh food, good variety, excellent coffee, very clean, constantly maintained, and friendly. There was no wired Internet to help protect your on-line security but the wireless Internet worked well as far as access and connection reliability were concerned. All in all, though, not sure I would stay here again.

This is a convenient location with many places in proximity such as grocery store and gas stations etc. Seems like it would time for decor update. It's breakfast buffet was lack luster will not much to tempt the tummy.

Had a great stay! The atrium was beautiful, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The only thing I would change is the size of the vanity. Too small for 2 women!

The gentleman that helped us at the front desk was very friendly. After snaptravel repeatedly lied and took our money he helped us get a room. The hotel was clean and quiet. It was also clean and as described.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel with my 3 granddaughters and they had the best time in the pool. Having our room door open right into the atrium was so convenient. Since the pool was in the atrium we didn't have to worry about the girls getting sun burned. They were able to stay in the water as long as they wanted! And that was quite a while :) I highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Natural Bridge Caverns or to anyone just wanting to have a nice pool for the kids.

The staff in the morning for breakfast were rude. I tried to get some eggs and the lady that works there closed the lid on me knowing I was right there. The guy who works evenings at the check in desk is just rude. He does not want to be there. He told me to move because there was someone behind me wanting to check in when I asked him for a towel to the pool area. Mind you I was there first asking for a towel.

When I checked in, the front desk worker had trouble running my card, and kept trying, telling me several times it had been declined. Finally it went through. However, when I checked my account, I had been charged for my full stay 11 times, so I had 11 holds of nearly $300 each. I called the front desk, and the man said I was wrong, the transactions didn't happen, but when pressed, admitted they had happened, but would be gone in the morning. I checked the next morning, and they were still present. I confronted the man that night, and he said the matter was resolved and the holds would be gone when I checked out. Three days later, they are still there. I understand it usually takes a few days, but for a matter of such a large number, I would think they could try harder. The rest of the staff was kind and helpful. I felt as thought hey were sympathetic to the issue and made a genuine effort to resolve the matter. The one employee, however, ruined it. The facility itself is fine. It's a little old and could use a refresh, but it was fine. One of the walls had all its outlets not working, which was a drag.

I normally like staying at best western hotels but I have to knock this o e down two notches because of what we found in our room when we checked in. Not one but two dead cockroaches in our room. One was on the cover for one of the beds and the other was on the night stand. Not sure if I will ever stay here again.

Great place to stay, easy access to IH-35 and surrounding locations... Friendly staff, clean lobby, clean rooms, great service... We have yet to have any issues here. We have stayed here before multiple times since it was opened years back, always experience a pleasant stay...

Just northwest of San Antonio this hotel is close to the city but avoids of the downtown traffic. Breakfast was typical of the Best Western brand. Room was clean, and comfortable. We stayed three nights there and everything was excellent

This is a lovely, lovely place. A heated indoor atrium pool and hot tub. The rooms facing the pool have balconies. There is a full breakfast. Clean and sparkling new place. Courteous staff, elevators, free coffee all day long in the dining room and lobby. Late check out for Gold Crown Members.

I always love going to the Best western in schertz its a quick get away and i can be close to home and just relax when i need to and i enjoy the hot tub the owner is super sweet and so is all the staff if i could stay there more often i would they know what room i like and when i walk in they say would you like your room.

Very pleasant employees! The breakfast and service was very good. My room is consistently clean and well maintained. i appreciate how easy it is to get on and off the freeway and there is a Starbucks just down the street.

Hotel has good amenities, hot breakfast, clean rooms and the indoor pool is great. Hotel is close to several restaurants and walmart. The only issue was the front desk lady. Everytime I came down she was always on her phone. I am bilingual and at some point I heard them talking about other employees. Does not look good for a hotel that is this great. Besides that, the hotel itself is good.

Always a pleasure to stay here. Staff is extremely wonderful and make my stay enjoyable. The location was good. Easy access to any livation I was travelljng by car. Cleaning staff was excellent in their care and professional.

I had one of the most satisfying experience staying at best western hotel, the rooms were exquisitely clean, all amenities worked as it should. the services were excellent and the breakfast that was served was very satisfying. I advise is the is the place you want to stay in for leisure, business and vacation.

The hotel has been upgrade at some point and they did an excellent job. I loved having a Keurig coffee maker and the soap dispensers in the shower were a bonus. no more having to squeeze tiny bottle to get shampoo out and it doesn't come out! The bed was comfy and the microwave and fridge were a plus as well. The pool looked very inviting. Plenty of places to eat nearby as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Stayed one night while stopping in San Antonio to see the bats out at Bracken Cave. I didn't spend much time in the room. The air conditioning worked great, thankfully, as it was hot and humid outside! Room was fine, maybe a little dark (color scheme). Bed was comfy. The motel is basically built around the pool. I had a room that faced outside the motel so no problem with noise from the pool. In fact for the most part it was very quiet in my back corner. Ask to be put back there if you don't want the highway noise. However this is adjacent to a light industrial area, so there was early morning traffic on the road behind the hotel. Plenty of restaurants and retail businesses nearby.

I stopped by & spent the night at best western & it's was a very comfortable stay it made me feel like I was right at home, the room was really nice & clean I just wish I had more time too stay again. But we'll be back again. & there breakfast was good too

It was a little more expensive than other Best Westerns I've stayed in Texas so far. But a little less care taken. Check in was ok—not too welcoming and then when I used the pool there were no towels and I walked right past the desk manager dripping—-was hoping for a towel. Room was nice and clean. Please think about adding a sheet to not only the bottom but the top of the blanket that is known to not be washed as often. If the blanket had a sheet on top and bottom it would have made me feel better. So I only used a plain sheet to keep warm. Breakfast is only served till 9AM??!! Thumbs down

Spent a night here while visiting Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. Everything was wonderful. Super fast check in and exceptional friendly service from the General Manager Yodi Upa. Very clean, excellent breakfast, comfy beds. Did not get a chance to use the pool. We wish we would have had another night here and will absolutely stay here again when in the area.

This great hotel is easily accessible and just North East of San Antonio. The Rooms were very nice and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offered a number of tasty choices.

I was very impressed by the cleaniliness & service of this small location right off I-35. We had to stay while we were emptying our house for final sale-inspection, so it was very convenient for us to be less than 10min from the house to take care of all that process. Will definitely recommend it for guests with family & kids bc of the location and amenities. A lot of people were at the indoor pool, it includes breakfast, close to many attractions in the area of Schertz, San Antonio, New Braunfels areas. For overnight stays it's very good as well. Clean, private, quiet.

This was a nice hotel and good experience. We were traveling from Iowa and there was easy access from highway. The atrium area was beautiful with nice pool and spa. We would stop at this motel again. Staff were very accommodating

Our first room had a stale smell. It faced the atrium and there was no way to open the door to let some air in. Since the atrium is enclosed there probably wouldn't have been much fresh air anyway. The double queen rooms don't have desks - only king as the space is limited - they include a small round table with two hardback chairs instead. We moved to a king as we really wanted a desk. This room met our needs and did not smell stale. It was on the first floor and did not open to the atrium. Breakfast was OK - my big issues were weak coffee and odd tasting OJ. You can find something to eat though and don't need to leave hungry. All seemed clean. I did not like that the person who cleaned the rooms ignored the notes I left. I was told he doesn't understand Spanish or English and I explained that it would really be good for him to take the notes to the front desk for someone who could read them to take action. The two notes I left were gone (along with the tip I always leave hotels) but the request I made on the note was completely ignored. Finally, the manager seemed very welling to please the customers and make sure you were happy. The extra chair I requested for my second room was gladly provided. I felt that he really cared about the property and wanted to ensure every problem was taken care of. I'd have rated this hotel as average except for the attitude of the manager. However, there was one gentleman who worked the front desk at night that should not be greeting the public as he was just short of rude and surly most of the time. Thankfully the other gentleman who worked the front desk at night was the polar opposite - super friendly and welcoming! I'd like to say they balanced each other out but the unpleasant guy spoiled things!!

This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. It is located in Schertz, Texas, which is just right outside of San Antonio. It is a great value, driving into SA is no big deal from this spot.

We had a great experience at this location. It is convenient to San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels and San Marcos. The pool and hot tub were clean. The fitness room was small, but met my needs well. The entire staff was kind, efficient and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

This Best Western had very clean lobby, and the staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. The sound proofing was extremely good, because we didn't even know that a youth aged soccer team was in the motel until we went to breakfast.

The name of the hotel is not misleading. The atrium in the center of the hotel is awesome. The pool and hot tub are in there so weather is of no concern to use them. There are several tables in here to relax at and the flowers and plants are very well maintained. Oh, and by the way, the rooms are very nice as well!!

From the high reviews I had high expectations. I believe the motel was built in 1995 and remodeled in 2012, so it looked pretty good (except for the wallpaper starting to peel in the bathroom). I guess they didn't put much sound insulation between rooms 20 years ago because we could hear other guests talking loudly and coughing on both sides of us. The coughing guest even kept my wife from sleeping. The sink wasn't in the bathroom, so when my wife was drying her hair early in the morning (because she couldn't sleep), it woke me up. The food was pretty average for a free breakfast. I've had better breakfasts at other Best Western Plus hotels. At least the nightly price was pretty good.

Good place to stay, close to many things to see and do. Daniel, who made my reservation and was at the front desk, is especially helpful, pleasant and very good at his job.....he really enjoys helping people.

Stayed there one night on way to San Antonio...what an awesome place. New, clean, spacious room, great breakfast, super location right off I35, super pool and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a highly rated hotel on this site...so we booked it. The room was clean, the public areas were nicely appointed. The walls are sooo thin, we heard the conversation of the men in the next room, the ladies laughing across the hall, the older gentleman coughing nonstop at 5 am. I like to get up early, get dressed and go have coffee and wait for my husband to get up. Could not do that here, the tiny sink is in the room! I couldn't get ready without waking him. So I laid in bed and waited. There is no plug in or sink in the bathroom. The breakfast had the usual rubber eggs and the waffles tasted like there was no butter or eggs in the batter. We are not staying at a BW again.

Very satisfied with the service. The front desk employees have always been very helpful in getting us a room. For us, the location is just right, for our grandchildren live close by and it makes it easier for us to visit them. The Breakfast area is always clean, and they are always attentive to the fact that they check to see there is enough food in the containers where the breakfast is placed. The rooms are always clean. We have always been satisfied with the service here, and we will continue to go there whenever we go to San Antonio.

We love to stay at this hotel because they are most accommodating. Mr. Yogi Upa goes out of his way to make us feel comfortable and treats us like family. Everything is always clean and the breakfast is always great. Great value for the money.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Location was clean, staff was professional, full of amenities like a great workout room, indoor pool area including a hot tub that always works. The breakfast is quality and a full layout instead of just coffee, juice, and pastries. The location is always extremely clean which is hard to find these days. The manager is very professional and is always on location and continuously asks if everything is good and if anything needs attention, they're on it. I travel a lot and stay in numerous hotels and without a doubt, this is one of the best out there. I give id a thumbs up and 5 stars.

Hotel was nice, rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately the reason we chose this hotel was for our granddaughters 13th birthday, due to in our area the only hotel with an indoor pool. We arrived at the hotel approximately 6:30-7ish, checked in and asked which way the pool, we were told it was closed with no explanation. That it would not be open for the evening. Of course you can imagine the disappointment of 5 pre teens. I explained that was the only reason we chose that hotel in this area. There are many other hotels in our local area that could of been chosen. We later found out from another guest that the pool was very crowed with many families but ONE family had a baby without the proper swim wear and used the bathroom in the pool. Due to the hour of this happening, and obviously the hotel was crowded with familes for the same reason we chose, I feel they should immediately had the pool cleaned and ready for use that evening. Plus monitored the pool to insure that families used the proper swim attire. I also realize accidents happen but when you are paying for use of the amenities and not able to it is very disappointing for 5 girls. Not easy to entertain 5 girls at this point, so we left and went to dinner, which was way more expense that was not planned because we were planning on pizza poolside. They did not reopen the pool until 9:30am the next day with a checkout by 11AM. Shame on that FAMILY for letting that happen and ruining all the other guests pool time. FRUSTRATED

Wonderful staff and facility at this hotel. I was very impressed with the staff friendliness and assistance. They have a beautiful and well kept atrium next to the lobby. It's a wonderful place for thinking or just reading.

Room was not clean, smelt terrible, breakfast was not worth eating. I came to this hotel very tired from working all day and night, expected a nice place to sleep, but I felt dirty the second I went into the room, not sure how people can even sleep here and pay 100plus a night! No different than a cheap hotel,

The hotel was very nice. The decor was great and the staff was nice. They told jokes and greeted us each time we came back to the hotel. Close to family and friend was this location and the room was really nice. We would stay here again and compliment your staff for being great host.

This is a nice, clean hotel and a great value. Comfortable bed and room. Large lobby and comfortable seating to meet up with friends. Good breakfast, pool, and a lot of nearby restaurants. Close to New Braunfels. We enjoyed visiting the area wineries and shops.

Very handy to all places in north San Antonio area, very professional and helpful staff, high value. Beds are a little firmer than I prefer, but not to the point to keep me from staying here on return trips.Don't let the bland exterior detract - stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here 4 nights. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. It was convenient to Schertz and Selma, and the northeast side area. Breakfast was fine, coffee was very good. Good value.

This was an excellent choice for a hotel, the service was great, the rooms were clean, the beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was free and on point. It was a full breakfast that included pancakes and freshly made waffles. The indoor pool and hot tub was to die for. I will definitely make this my place to stay when traveling in this area.

Best Western Plus Atrium in Schertz, Texas is one of the very best hotels we've stayed in . Top notch service! Clean comfortable room . Just an overall great stay . Stayed 3 nights , breakfast was great !

Excellent location the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very clean. The hotel staff was very accommodating. Close to San Marcos outlets and most major shopping and restaurants. I would stay there again.

We had a great time from check in to check out. Very professional and helpful front desk personnel. Our room was very clean and had a warm feeling almost like being at home. The breakfast selection was very tasty. The pool and hot tub excellent!

We loved the homey feel of this lovely hotel. Every staff member was just wonderful and went above and beyond to help us feel welcome. We also really liked the pool and hot tub in the atrium, and thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning. We had a wonderful experience here and would love to go back!

While I didn't have a bad experience at the hotel, it wasn't right for our family and I offer this review to help others decide. First impression was not great as the hallway smelled a bit dirty and the room smelled musty which surprised me given the recent refurbishment. Also, there was no safe in the room. The bathroom was very small and contained the toilet instead of having the toilet separate. Breakfast, while free, was not very good - bacon was too greasy and the sausage looked cheap. Finally, the coffee in the breakfast hall was very weak. For the price it's probably what one should expect. I'd rather spend the extra next time for a hotel with safe, higher ceilings and a fresh room.

This BW was very convenient for us. The entire staff went out of their way to make this a comfortable stay. Breakfast was typical, but the bacon was cooked perfectly (for my taste). The grandkids enjoyed the hot tub and pool...not crowded.

We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, and staff very sweet. The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. The front desk associates were vey accommodating. Will definitely be back for Wurstfest.

We enjoyed our stay, the facility, staff, breakfast were all great! However the street address 17401 IH 35 is a vacant lot, making GPS navigation useless. After calling the hotel we were told to drive for 1 more exit and that hotel is next to "Denney's". Perfect directions, but BW should correct this.

I booked this hotel after looking at reviews from other hotels which were not great but this hotel had awesome reviews. This hotel has the friendliest staff and the rooms, breakfast and check in/out services were the absolute best!

I always expect and almost always fine a clean well kept facility with good beds when I go to Best Westerns. This facility stands out because the staff and service exceed expectations with a smile. The desk staff always seems happy to see a person and any needs we've had during stays are quickly and cheerfully addressed. One more note, this facility is well located with just about any kind of food nearby, a close easy to access Mall and lots of services. It is close to major freeways with easy access to all parts of San Antonio.

My family met me after a long week and used free nights at this hotel. The front desk clerk was totally disrespectful the entire visit. Our room was a non smoking room and the front morning clerks were informed that the adjacent room was smoking and the smell was traveling into our room and nothing was done. This hotel is dated and could have lots of potential but with the Managment that is currently in charge will struggle to make this a two star hotel. I would never stay here again.

The hotel was nice and it was clean. The staff were very friendly and attentive. This was by far the quickest and easiest check in that I've encountered at a hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

It's a nice place to stay. The room appeared clean.... how does one really ever know right? But... from the looks it seemed clean. Breakfast was as you would expect from a chain like that. No real complaints and would stay again.

We had a great time, the staff was very helpful in assisting us in changing our room, we booked a room with one bed & asked to get a room with poolside view. EZ made it happen & we were glad we did, the pool was nice after being out in the sun all day.

The money we saved on our hotel room bought our schlitterbahn tickets. It was only about a 15 minute drive to the water park. It was close enough to San Antonio also. We drove to Seaworld in about 30 minutes and that was with morning traffic.

We stayed here for 4 nights. They had little variety in their breakfast offerings. Two menus that they switched up every other day. Scrambled eggs one day followed by "omelet" patties the next day. Some of their customers drive diesels, and they park right up against the building. One morning the diesel must have idled for about an hour - the fumes entered our room thru the AC unit. Not sure if being on an upper floor would have helped that situation or not. The gentleman who works the front desk at night spends his time watching the TV in the breakfast area. I reported a broken toilet in the women's room, and all he said was that maintenance was not available. I told him that I understood this, but I suggested that he at least put up a sign. The next morning we asked the front desk if it had been reported, and we were told that it had not. Once we told them, they did get maintenance on it right away. Pool was on the dirty side. I only used it once, but there were many bugs and WADS of hair floating in it. Ironically, the pool never seemed to be open on time, but I'm not exactly sure what they were doing during that time. Definitely not cleaning it.

Nice, clean rooms. Newly remodeled. Friendly staff. Great breakfast with options for vegetarians and protein lovers. Comfortable beds and variety of pillow options. Keurig and mini fridge in the room. Convenient location near shopping and interstate.

We stay at this hotel every time we're in town which has been approx. 10 nights in the last 12 months. It is always a very pleasant experience!! The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodations are very nice and clean!! Excellent value for your money!!!

Wonderful hotel and excellent location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The only thing I would change would be to offer more meat options for people who don't eat pork. There was either bacon or pork sausage. Turkey or beef options should be considered.

Rooms decor is nice looks like it was recently updated although this seems like a very old hotel as the rooms are small and the bathroom is separate from the sink and mirror. Both are very small. Rooms and hotel were very clean. We had a double and the beds are very small and very uncomfortable unless you like extra firm. Staff was friendly.

Front desk agent was nice but it stops there. We knew the second we walked in the room it was all bad. We should have known by the carpet going down the halls, it just didn't seem sanitary by the looks of it. But the room was smelled like someone was clearly covering odor and mildew with a chemical laden, heavy deodorizer. My wife had an immediate allergic response, and the front desk agent was nice, but he advised us to go to CVS or Walgreens for drugs, but would not give us a refund if we checked out. So apparently we are supposed to "tough out" the experience by masking the toxin's side effects with drugs. If you have important papers, they may be ruined. Our important documents were floppy and super moist sitting in that room. Very unclean and filthy feeling. We have taken pics of all the mold. We should NOT have been given that room! This was like a Hotel 6 from teenage years. Bad bad bad.

We enjoy this hotel a lot! The staff is super friendly. The pool is not huge, but very relaxing! We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Both are inside, but you still get the outside feel without the sunburn! The breakfast is over and beyond good.

I stayed there for 39 days for work and had an amazing experience. All of the staff was very nice to me and greeted me every time they saw me. The rooms were clean and I visited the spa every single day! I had a great time there and would definitely suggest if you are in that area. My room was very quiet and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The hotel was excellent. Very Clean , staff was so friendy and knowledgable about the area.The breakfast was better then any resturants you could go too. The hotel and staff made this a remarkable vacation going back as soon as i can. they also had a indor pool and hot tub. I cant say enough about this place it was that good.

I was treated as a very valuable patron, just like the previous stay back in September 2016. The staff is very professional, every was clean and functional. I really liked the hot tub because of a bad back. Check in was quick and easy, no surprises, and everything was just as it is advertised. I'll be returning again in September and know exactly where I'll be staying!!

Upon arrival manager "EZ" was at the front desk. There were no other customers present. When he checked me in had handed me a piece of paper, telling me very quickly where he wanted me to inital. I was confused because he seemed like he need 3 areas attended to, but there were 7-8 areas highlighted. I asked him to repeat his instructions to me. That's when he answered in a sing-song condescending voice, sarcastically pointing out the areas I should address. So I said it was confusing since there are so many other areas highlighted. He said, "We'll since you are a gold member I don't need this info (pointing to the OTHER areas)". Well, how am suppose to know that? I've never seen their form before! Why couldn't he have said that to me in the beginning. I know I have gray hair, but I'm not an idiot. And it's not like he's a 20 something, he's not much younger than me. Then I asked for breakfast hrs, check out time, and pool hrs. I has a piece of paper and pen in my hand to write down the info. Once again he spoke so fast I didn't get all the info. So I said I didn't get all that and asked him to repeat it. Once again he went into his sing-song condescending voice. He started with, "The breakfast hrs sign is right behind you." Gosh, sorry I asked for customer service while you were doing nothing else, and you resented supplying me with it. I then walked out front to get ice, which was located right behind the front desk. I believed I was following instructions, but couldn't get ice to come out. I came around the corner and said to EZ, "This ice machine is not working, where is another one?" Here came the sing-song condescending voice again, "It's working. I just used it". Not, "It has been working, let me make sure you are using it properly "... or something else helpful. Then I asked for his name. He told me. Then asked ,"Why?". I answered, "Because you have been condescending to me since I arrived". He replied, "No I haven't. I just explained everything to you". I said, "I'll ask to speak to the manager in the morning." Then he inform me that he IS the manager. Then I said I'll find out who the owner is. That brought this response from him, "Now you're being rude". I walked away advising him not to speak condescendingly to people, and that I was going to mention this in my online review. Condescension is a perception. He can't say he is NOT being condescending if I perceive that's how it feels to me. And I'm a GOLD member. So if this can happen to me, then I say good luck to you. Glad I'm only scheduled to stay 1 nite. This has NEVER happened before to me at any Best Western I've visited. It left as our taste in my mouth and my heart racing as I prepare to go to sleep for the nite. How unnecessary. Such a shame.

Great value and service! Clean rooms and restrooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast area clean and good variety. Professional and helpful staff. At the top of my list for the next work trip in that area.

Friendly staff, room was very nice with comfortable beds. The location was perfect for my trip ( right off the interstate). The breakfast had a good selection of food choices and was definitely enough to fill us up. And it tasted good too. Easy, fast checkout.

We traveled a lot with in USA with our photo club, we stayed in Best Western most of the time. The front desk staffs are friendly, rooms are clean with air conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good with fresh fruit and varieties.

My husband and I checked in on a Sunday Morning at 2:25 am after a long day of traveling. We slept there for 7 hours and were out before 11 am on that same day. Tuesday rolls around and I was charged twice for our stay. I called because I thought it was an error on their part seeing as how we only stayed one night. I spoke to the lady at the front desk, and she informed me that according to their system we checked in on Friday, and stayed until Sunday. We were not even in this area on Friday and upon check in I was not informed of the fact that they would charge me for 2 nights. I tried explaining myself to the associate and she became rude and unwilling to work with me on the lack of communication. I would not have stayed there had I known that id be charged $250.00 for only having the room one "night" and in reality it was only a few hours to rest before driving the rest of the way home. I am out that money, and all they can do is make excuses instead of giving me my money back since I was not informed I would be charged for a 2 nights stay.

Great service, honored online price I found. Nice spacious room. Indoor pool & jacuzzi (fyi - it's saltwater!). Breakfast was good - folded eggs, hash browns, biscuits & gravy & sausage, waffles + the other common stuff. Totally worth the money (which wasn't a lot!! $81+ tax)!

It has a very unique design - hence the name - atrium. Very clean and open. The rooms were stuffy with humidity, but overall clean. Hallways are very shallow so you hear your neighbor across and what's done in the ice machine room.

Went to Natural Bridge Caverns for Spring break, 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 and absolutely loved this hotel. I've stayed in very very expensive hotels (VEGAS) down to some horrible ones that I left screaming for my health and life and let them keep my money. This Hotel is perfect across the board, the room (while nothing fancy) was clean and nice, the shower water pressure which women appreciate this trust me was AWSOME and a cold as heck AC were perfect ! There was free breakfast everyday which I loved cause whose not us for FREEEEEE, eggs, potatoes, sausage bacon waffles bagels you name it ! The staff was great, even recommended a good place to eat delicious Mexican food !! The location was great, literally just minutes from the Caverns and once again the hotel staff was amazing !!!! Yall, I'm so not kidding this hotel is wonderful across the board price, location, clean and we will definitely stay here again !

Visiting friends in the SA area and like the location of the hotel. Clean and comfortable. Lots of amenities in the immediate area. I was a little worried about hiway noise but it wasn't an issue at all

Great room except for placement of lavatory being in the way of the bathroom door. Also, TV remote only worked directly in front of the TV sitting on middle of bed on the end. Mattress was kind of hard. Excellent breakfast every day we were there. Great indoor pool/hot tub spa area. Very gracious front desk employees & cleaning staff.

Best hotel, at this price point, we have ever stayed in (and we have been to 1000's world wide). It exceeded my expectations in every way (appearance in and out, amenities, staff's response and helpfulness, free hot breakfast options, etc.)

This was the perfect stop over for us, after a week on the road we needed to get laundry done, nice chap on reception helped with the coins (exchanged not gifted), we chilled in the pool and jacuzzi whilst the machines did their stuff. The room was lovely and big, and clean - you can really tell it's a 'plus'. Breakfast is probably one of the best of the 'included' on our whole trip. Great place to recharge.

This hotel was 20 years old but looked like it was brand new. The GM explained that it had undergone a major renovation that took place over the period of a year. Each and every staff member that we encountered was fabulous. I would definitely go back to this property and recommend it with reservation!

Very nice hotel, clean & comfortable. Everything was kept clean from the lobby to the breakfast room, atrium, hallways and most importantly the rooms. Breakfast each morning had a good selection of foods including eggs, hash browns or potatoes, waffles, rolls, fruit, yogurt and juices. The staff made sure food was kept warm and available even if breakfast hours were ending. Coffee, tea & cocoa were available 24 hours. Pool and jacuzzi areas were clean and lots of towels were available. Best of all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The only negative thing about the room was the sink area was a bit small. It would have been nicer to have more counter space.

I picked this hotel for its proximity for attending a family funeral. The price seemed decent and based on other reviews, I decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the overall amenities, spacious room and bed comfort. A pet peeve of mine is when the room temperature cannot be adjusted to comfort levels, since I need a very cool temp to sleep well and I was able to adjust the temp down to my comfort level. I would definitely stay here, again. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was decent, also.

The Best Western Atrium in Shertz is a great hotel. It has a nice indoor pool and hot tub that is great to use after a long drive. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is hard to beat. The location is also hard to beat it sits between a KFC and a Dennys with a gas station on the other side of Dennys. There is also a sports bar in close walking distance. Across the freeway is an HEB Plus and a near by Super Walmart. Getting to San Antonio or New Braunfels is easy because you're right on the freeway. I always try to stay here when I'm in the area. Everything is just so convenient. Plus there is a Safari Park just up the road from it.

We traveled with two other couples just one night to a birthday party. The friend who was hosting the party had made and paid for our rooms through priceline. Two of us had Paid in Full written across the front of our reservations but the third couple was made to pay for their room . Since our friend had already paid for it ..it was paid for twice. The couple who was made to pay did not want to make a fuss and ruin the good time for the rest of us or the host.... The room my husband and I stayed in on the first floor had a terrible smell..it seemed like it was a cleaner and it was trying to mask another odor. It was close to the ice machine so perhaps it was just mold...Anyways neither of us slept well. I will say the other two couples had no complaint about their rooms.. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but it smelled good..(bacon cooking always does) The coffee was good.

All of the staff is very friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Atrium is beautiful and the pool/spa are always kept up. The breakfast is excellent! The hot and fresh breakfast makes the stay even better. It's not the regular continental breakfast. They offer eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hash browns and much more.

Great family hotel, great service, clean, wonderful breakfast, clean and fun pool and spa area. Great location close to restaurants and grocery and fun things to do. Also close to shopping such as walmart

This is a really good small hotel near San Antonio. The rooms have internet, cable tv, Keurig coffee, a large screen tv, and the bath has very good bath wash, shampoo and conditioner in a wall type dispenser in the shower. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and the desk and cleaning crew were pleasant and efficient. We did not use but were impressed with the indoor pool

We really enjoyed our stay here. We and the kids had a lot of fun in the pool and hot tub located in the atrium. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff was really helpful. This hotel is in a nice location with a grocery store and many eateries nearby. If you plan on visiting the Natural Bridge Caverns or Wildlife Ranch this is a good place to stay. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Always stay at BW. Stayed here because of the indoor pool. the Atrium was ice in the South Texas heat. Plenty of towels and the hot tub was nice. Colored lights in the pool was a different twist for the children Staff was friendly and helpful. Will conciser this hotel again for a quick getaway.

July is so hot but this hotel helped cool us down. Had an indoor pool to help block the sun light and nice sitting areas if you get the poolside rooms. Excellent location near the Natural Bridge Caverns.

Enjoyed stay over July 4th. City of New Braunfels is only about 15 minutes away. Hotels are full over July 4th and location is good in between San Antonio and New Braunfels. Good breakfast and attendants are very helpful.

Whenever we visit our daughter, we stay at the BW Atrium Inn. It is conveniently located and the staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The accommodations are clean, comfortable and relaxing.

Great place, very updated and clean , great staff had no problems and it's a courtyard so rooms open up to pool, very convenient. They started breakfast early so it was very nice. Housekeeping was incredible !! Rooms very clean and the beds were comfortable. Air conditioning worked so good , especially with Texas being 100 degrees.

the center of this hotel is an atrium with trees, other greenery, tables, chairs, and a pool/spa. it is very pretty in the atrium as is the entire hotel. staff is very friendly and helpful. Keurig coffeemaker in the room(awesome). very good breakfast with bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes and fresh waffles along with other continental breakfast items.

I can't say enough good things about this place! Clean, comfy beds, nice breakfast and the people are VERY friendly. We've stayed here many times when we've gone to music venues or horseracing in the area and this is our Go-To place. We always sleep well. Even though we are right off IH 35, the noise is minimal - I hardly notice. Just a great place!!!

This is a nice hotel with nice and friendly employees. They also served a nice hot breakfast that they change some of the items everyday. This hotel has a indoor swimming pool, and a fitness center. This hotel also has free internet. It is very close to everything needed for shopping and different places to eat and gas stations. It also has easy access to the freeway

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone. Really enjoyed the spa and pool. Only problem was in online directions to facility, which were somewhat confusing.

I read the reviews for all the hotels in the area and for the price of this one, I was extremely happy with the room and the breakfast. I would stay again only I hope the next time there won't be a soccer tournament, but even then the other guest had their kids under control. I loved it

I have been in town 3 times in the past 12 months for a week at a time and have stayed here. The location is perfect for me and best price in the area that I've been able to find. Rooms clean and comfortable - lots of options to eat and shop in the area.

My wife and I stayed here on May 13, 2016. Room 219 had 2 Queen beds. Nice quiet room. Room next door, not so quiet but that's what a cooler full of beer does. We had no highway noise at all. Ice machine was close by, about 4 rooms. Plenty of parking. In the room, the sink area was very narrow but it was outside the toilet/shower area so getting ready in the morning was faster than usual. Breakfast was one of the best I have had. 2 waffle makers. Plenty of eggs, bacon etc. Some hard boiled eggs would be nice but plenty of choices. 2 ladies were kept busy restocking food. This is a very nice Best Western.

The staff at this hotel was wonderful and I would be back. The pool needed to be looked at - the water was cloudy and I would not use the pool. The atrium was a delightful area to sit and talk. I thought the breakfast was fine and the Texas shaped waffles were a fun addition. The eggs left something to be desired.

Was very happy with value, cleanliness and amenities. Really enjoyed the indoor courtyard and the pool was perfect temperature to enter easily and the hot tub was actually hot. The continental breakfast was simple and warm.

no complaints, had 3 kids with me and the pool and jacuzzi were the perfect touch to get the kids doing something during the off time at the hotel. the Breakfast was amazing! scrambled eggs, potato wedges, biscuits, sausage, gravy!! yogurt, cereal, muffins, orange juice, water and coffee sat out at all times. place was clean and neat, noise level was good and our room had a mini fridge and microwave. Very satisfied we stayed here! Also, there is a Walmart within walking distance, the Natural Bridge Caverns 10 minutes away and plenty of fast food around.

We stayed at this hotel as a family of four for one night while visiting the San Antonio area. Upon check-in, the staff was very friendly and we were assigned our room fairly quickly. At that time, they explained the breakfast hours, and where the pool, business center, and exercise facilities were. We didn't use any of these amenities, but it's nice to know they are there. The hotel is two floors and there is an indoor pool within a central atrium - hence the name of the hotel. Our room was on the outside, so our view was of the parking lot. I believe some rooms open up to the atrium area. The room itself was quite clean. There is a refrigerator and microwave. The beds were comfortable and I believe they have satellite TV. One thing to note - the bathroom sink is actually on the outside of the bathroom. Although I prefer the sink within the bathroom itself, for one night it was not a big deal. Right next door there was a KFC/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combo that we walked to for a quick dinner. There are tons of other restaurants and stores nearby so there are plenty of other options to eat. The breakfast food was standard "free breakfast" fare. Bacon, sausage, pastries, fruit, biscuits with gravy, a waffle maker, cereal, yogurt, milk, juice, scrambled "eggs". We had no problem finding seating, and some people even took their breakfast to the atrium area to eat since there were tables and chairs out there. In all, I'd recommend this hotel and would stay there again for a short visit.

The room was extremely clean, comfy beds and the breakfast had a huge variety with different menu each day of our stay. Used the business center and computer worked great and was able to print tickets with no problem. The lady at the front desk helped us to fine near by activities for the kids and everyone was super friendly. The pool looked dark so I called down and they assured me that it looked that way because the color the pool was painted. We did end up swimming and the pool was very clean!

If you are looking for a good value for a short stay in the area, this is a good hotel with good access to restaurants and to Interstate to head our for your day! My daughter thought the beds were cozy, and the location was excellent for our plans to head out to the Caverns in the area. 10 minute drive from the hotel to Natural Bridge Caverns and recreation area!

The room was comfortable and relaxing to be in. The hotel itself had nice amenities: free morning breakfast that was well stocked and kept up with, sitting areas in the hotel, and a pool. The kids didn't take advantage of the pool due to the cloudiness, which may have been due to the high traffic use of the pool during spring break. The room was nice and facing the freeway. There was some traffic noise in the room, but not enough to bother us. The bathroom sink area is small and faces into the sleeping area, so it is a little disturbing if someone is using it and other people are trying to sleep. The staff at the inn were friendly. Great location to get to San Marcos, the Natural Bridge Caverns area, and San Antonio. Also, a lot of food options near the hotel.

The hotel itself is great. The staff is friendly. The key cards don't work most of the time. We could not enter from outside through any side doors and our room was at the end of the building. Had to have key re-keyed while dripping wet from pool. Very unhappy about key cards. The heated pool was nice but filthy. Breakfast was great and quantities were plentiful.

My family(2 adults & 2 small children) booked this hotel with a hotel site. It booked as a king room but said call and room size could be changed with availability. I called immediately after booking and asked for a room with 2 beds. I was told they had several rooms available then was transferred to the general manager who said they had NO rooms available with 2 beds. When I told him I was already told they did have rooms he then said I would have to pay more money to have a second bed. He went on to say it was a company policy. So I called the corporate office and was told it was not a company policy but the particular hotels rule. 2 separate times the general manager lied to me and made no attempt to accommodate unless we paid him more money. We did stay because it was to late to rebook some place else with small children. At check in I noticed a large post it note had been placed on our paper work by the manager saying not to change our room for any reason unless we paid more money. Clearly this manager does not like hotel sites booking his rooms for lower rates. I would have given a good review about the hotel its self if the customer service had been better. We stay at many hotels across the US and have never been told we have to pay more to change the bed type.

The first person of the staff I met was Easy, very nice guy. The kitchen staff were very polite and helpful, the morning staff greeted me with a smile and said goodbye with a handshake. I was very impressed with this property, and I will make it a point to come back. My family and I loved the atrium design. And by the way, the breakfast was awesome!

Everything was great including the Free breakfast lots to choose from, Always fresh. Super pool and hot tub. Within walking distance of great little cafe AJ's. Less than 1 mile from Bussy's Flea Market.

After experiencing poor wi-fi connectivity at a nearby Holiday Inn property, I moved to this hotel. Looking back, this was a really good decision 'cause I not only got blazing fast wi-fi/internet but also got to meet some wonderful staff members. All staff members, without exceptions, were super! In particular, Mr. Yogi and Ms. Bina stand out for their genuine warmth and hospitality. Additionally, liked their fitness center and clean rooms. If I'd point at only hitch, it'd be about the proximity to the road, which results in noise for the front side of the hotel. But again, I was there on business and loved the location/access. Would definitely stay again for the value and really friendly staff.

it was a well kept hotel very friendly staff the room were awesome and very spacious and affordable very close to a lot of pretty cool places and restaurants all in all it was a very pleasant stay and will definitely be staying here again when the time comes

Traveled with 4 adults and 5 small children, 2 rooms with check in on different days. Location is 10+ for traveling with families, Walmart, HEB, food places and gas all within 2 block radius. Breakfast was above average and the indoor pool is just what we needed when you have children that want to swim no matter the Texas weather. If you don't mind staying a little further out from San Antonio city center stay here, or don't, that way there is more room for us to stay hahahaha. Staff was very helpful with the exception of a couple staff members that had attitudes (night shift).

Great stay! Comfortable beds, clean room and hotel. Plenty of restaurants and shopping centers near. Breakfast was good. Though high prices it were a good idea to have a miniature candy store inside. Pool area was just beautiful and engaging.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and updated. My husband loved in the in-room Keurig, and the fridge/microwave were convenient; they would have been very useful for a long-term stay. The TV was nice, but the clicker/remote was irritating because it wasn't very responsive and made accessing the guide impossible. The indoor pool was the main draw to this hotel above others in the area, and my kids had a good time. The breakfast was on point! Service included eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and freshly made waffles - in the shape of Texas no less. You can be sure the kids loved that! If you say here, be sure to request a room away from the front of the hotel because the highway traffic was very noisy and disruptive throughout the night.

For a Weekend getaway, you can't beat it. Great location for restaurants, shopping for last min items, and even getting gas for your trip. cant beat it. The staff was wonderful always asking if there is anything else they can do. Them Breakfast food was wonderful not to mention the savings on food for the morning. Cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel overall was great. I will recommend this hotel to all traveling there.

First of all, and perhaps best of all (in my opinion), Staff is over the top friendly. I love that! Easy to talk to and very accommodating. When I read Atrium I though a few plants. In my children's opinion the best of all was the indoor HEATED Pool! The hot tub was just that HOT and very appreciated in the cold weather we bared all day. I didn't pack bathing suits but the Walmart is conveniently around the corner. Breakfast in the morning, small but very appealing and clean. We all loved the Texas size waffles.

When my grandfather, who was at a nursing home down the street, unexpectedly passed away, this hotel found me a room even though the website said "booked". The place was immaculately clean and the complementary breakfast was extraordinary! I have booked additional rooms for my family members coming in for services... they are going to love it!

We stay here every time we are in the San Antonio area. The location is perfect as its right off the exit on I-35 and very close to some of the best tourist destinations. Excellent hotel with equally excellent staff. Very clean and well managed. I will ensure that our family stays here on every future visit.

No cooperation or consideration from the staff or even management for the accommodation in the hotel. The reservation web site provide wrong pictures of the set up of the room and spoiled my meeting capabilities.

Enjoyed my 4 day stay here. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Nice rooms with comfortable beds although I would have liked to have a little heavier comforter. In room it was very quiet in spite of hotel being so close to the highway. Loved that the sink area was separate from the toilet /shower area. Made it much easier for two people to get ready at the same time. Good breakfast in the morning with alternating hot items. I would definitely stay here again if in the area but next time I am going to request a room that overlooks the atrium because it was quite pretty.

Starting with entering the lobby from the outside to our room the public areas were extremely clean and well maintained. We were greeted when we first arrived and each time that we passed a member of the hotel staff throughout our stay. Our room was well appointed and pleasantly clean. Although the standard breakfast does get old after awhile, the breakfast room was well stocked and very clean. We will likely be staying here again when we visit family in the area again.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and can not get over the quality for the price. It is updated and clean, and does not at all give the appearance of a hotel that has been refurbished. The pool area is beautiful and the dining area is large. My husband and I were traveling to the Gulf coast for a last days of summer getaway. As per our usual routine, we left home late in the day and decided to drive until we were tired. After a late dinner in Round Rock, we made it to Schertz, a small town on the northern edge of San Antonio. We had no reservations made until just before our arrival. The hotel was easy to get to, the parking lot was well lit, and the lobby was spacious and exceptionally clean. We were greeted immediately by a friendly receptionist. We were on our way to our room in a very few minutes, despite the late hour of arrival. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I had trouble using the remote control, it wouldn't change channels properly, so I called the front desk. The man that had greeted us, said he would be up with a new remote in a minute and he was! The night passed with a bit of road noise from Interstate 35 to provide an urban background feel. In the future, I would ask for a room farther from the highway, since I'm a light sleeper. Even so, I slept fairly well. Breakfast was a treat! The eggs, sausage, and waffles were all very good. The orange juice was also tasty and not watered down. The coffee was passable, I'm a bit of a coffee snob, and the entire breakfast area was the cleanest and most well stocked I had seen in years! All in all, I would stay here again and highly recommend it to all. It was a bargain!

This hotel is conveniently located where you can drive to San Antonio very easily. The staff is professional and the hotel is very clean. The internet is always working and they serve a full hot breakfast. I enjoy staying here every time I'm in the area. Yogi runs a great hotel.

This Is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. It has been remodeled and is very updated. Check in was swift and friendly. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was split. The sink was located in the bedroom which is bad if you have other people sleeping. The breakfast was good. Overall not a bad place to stay.
