Best Western Plus Portales Inn

This was by far the best experience I have had in quite a while staying in a hotel the the service was excellent and the room was very clean and orderly. The hotel staff was always kind and considerate.

The place was very clean and the staff was great. The cooked breakfast was fresh and tasty. They had some great green chile for the breakfast tacos we made. We will definitely stay at this place again

If you need a quiet restful spot to stay in Portales this is the best! I stayed in this location when the hotel first opened, over seventy years ago and have been back periodically. The recent remodel and redecoration and Best Western touch is by far the "best" version.

This Best Western was located conveniently to Eastern New Mexico University and local restaurants. They are within blocks and easy to drive to. The room was clean. We asked for a handicapped-accessible room (as I broke my ankle) and the room was large and I was able to get around. The only drawback was that the shower was inside the tub and had no shower seat, so I was unable to use it.

We travel to Portales frequently for business. We (the team) decided to try the Best Western Plus in Portales and not disappointed - THIS HOTEL IS GREAT - Clean, great staff, decent breakfast, nice beds in the room, and great internet service. This is now out GO TO hotel when staying in Portales, NM.

The continental breakfast had many choices. The food was good and satisfying. All public areas and rooms were very clean and neat. The front desk workers and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The old building was made new with a wonderful new update. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

Exceptional quality of hotel, very clean, pleasant and efficient staff. I would highly recommend. Everything in this hotel reflected an attention to detail and quality. The room and all common area spaces were exceptionally clean and well appointed. The breakfast offered good variety, and everything was fresh. We stayed two nights on a family trip, and would definitely stay in this hotel again.

The room was clean, the service was ok but did not have the usual bright look I have become accustomed to with Best Western Plus. The bed and shower were good. The breakfast was delicious with biscuits and gravy.

This hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable. I have stayed at all the chain affiliated hotels in Portales and this is the newest and nicest. I have never had single issue and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I stayed here one night while visiting Eastern New Mexico University. The room was very clean and the king size bed was comfortable. The hotel is well located in the center of town and the room rate included breakfast, which was basic. Toiletries were provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion) and there were adequate towels in the bathroom. Check-in was quick and easy and check-out consisted of dropping my room key in a basket. I had very little interaction with staff but there was no need for it, as I didn't encounter any problems during our stay. If I ever return to Portales, I would definitely stay here again.

Spacious, quiet room. Friendly staff. Clean lobby and food area. Made our visit very relaxing and a great lobby area for entertaining with the coffee area, pool table and ample seating. Parking was close.

After driving through a blizzard over 3 states, we stopped here for a safe haven. Check in was fast, hotel was easy to find, staff was friendly. Hotel was quite clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had gluten free options for our family with celiac. Highly recommend!

Multiple times we would call and walk to the front desk when we needed things and no one was there. It was more than just once so it wasn't a isolated incident. Did not even check out because no one was present. What's going on here?

I've stayed at this hotel monthly for the past year and have appreciated the staff members' efforts to ensure my satisfaction. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are clean and quiet. If you're staying overnight in Portales, I would definitely recommend.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western on a Tuesday night in July. We had a comfortable queen bed on the 2nd floor with a large window. Our room was hot upon our arrival and it took about 2 hours to cool the room down. After that, the temperature was fine. The traffic noise was loud until about 10 pm. Occasionally, a motorcycle driving down the road woke us. The room appeared to be clean. The bathroom had a large shower without a tub. That was ok with me. The staff was friendly.

What a pleasure to find this marvelous hotel while traveling through the Southwest. Our first time to come through Portales, NM, but we will always return to this spot. Jesa, the front desk clerk, couldn't be more kind and welcoming. The room was just what we needed.

Nice clean hotel large room comfy queen beds breakfast hot and tasty. And coffee actually was pretty tasty If you're staying in Portales NewMexico book in advance saved $25 per night and received an additional $25 off per night on next stay with them, which I will be doing my next trip.

Our suite was clean and roomy. The beds were comfy and staff was helpful and kind. There was a mixup with my room at check in but staff fixed the issue right away. I've stayed at the other two options in the town and this Best Western surpasses them both. I would definitely stay again!

This hotel was recently remodeled. It is now ultra sleek and modern. It offers today's traveler many smart conveniences. The decor is beautiful and functional. I did not expect to find this jewel in Portales , NM. I had a very pleasant stay. Thanks, BW.

This awesome unique property was extremely clean and comfortable. Management team and staff are top notch. Each member of staff I encountered was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast area was completely stocked and food was fresh. Hotel had great outside lighting giving it a very safe feel.

Beautiful modern remodel of an old classic hotel in Portales, NM. Lots of comfortable common areas in the lobby area for group gatherings. Rooms are clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Beds are wonderfully comfy. Breakfast is more than adequate. They even have “to go” breakfast bags if you don't have time to sit down to eat. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Location is right in the downtown area, and close to the university. Finally, the families of ENMU students and any other traveler who comes to this small town have a world class place to stay when they come to visit. Thanks Best Western!

Hotel is located in a great area my daughter is a student/athlete at ENMU. I love the pool table at the hotel gave me somrthing to do without leaving the hotel. The coffee and hot tea available all night was awesome. The breakfast was delicious.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. Look no further if you are passing through town or staying for an extended time. I would compare my experience here with a downtown big city five star hotel. Breakfast was exceptional. Scrambled eggs. potatoes, bacon etc etc etc!!

We were charged $80 more for a two night stay because we booked thru the BW website. They use an alternate booking service. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that we booked thru Expedia! No we didn't!

We really enjoyed the Best Western Plus in Portales. The rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast had a good variety of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our choice.

On the south side of town. Stayed on the third floor 2 weeks ago. Fourth floor this week which was very quiet. So thankful the rooms are very quiet and with the shades able to shut out all the light. Thank you.

This was my fist time to Portalis, and simply because of Best Western, Becky and the team there I will definitely be back. The Breakfast was wonderful, so much fresh food to choose from, hot and plentiful, The Hotel and the rooms were so nice and clean, and very comfortable. I travel a lot and I only stay with the Best Western family, this was one of the best hotels I've been in in some time. Super nice, clean hotel with super friendly staff. Highly recommended. It is in a great part of town and within walking distance of a lot of really neat little shops. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds. The fitness center is very nice as well.

Breakfast was great! Comfy pillows, and bought some to take home. Roomy! Breakfast area spacious and open. Pool and hot tub looked clean, but we didn't personally use it. Clean. Loved decor. Hallway carpet on our floor stained and couldn't. Quite figure out why since it was just remodeled.

I was working on a contract with Cannon AFB and was booked to stay at the Best Western Plus in Portales. Not the most desirable location in the US (Portales), but the hotel was very nice. I know it was brand new, which might be part of the reason it was in such great shape, as such it was very comfortable and looked nice. The rooms were great and having a hot breakfast every morning was nice. If I have work at Cannon AFB again, I would definitely stay here.

We were not aware this hotel was there much less open. It was a nice and convenient change. We were not going to stay the night until we saw the convenient price. The staff both in the evening and morning were very nice.

I wasn't expecting much in Portales but this hotel was a pleasant surprise! It doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside it is very nice. Roomy and great service. I'm so glad I decided to book this hotel during my stay.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms are very nice. The staff was fantastic and treated our girls wonderfully. We were in town for a girls basketball tournament and all of our needs were met. This is where we will stay every time we are in Portales. Thanks for a great stay!

The rooms were spacious an Clean. Walk in shower. Associates friendly. Restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent and so much room. Connections for computer in the breakfast area. I did not use the fitness center but did look at it and top of the line work out equipment. The high speed Internet was excellent and no dropping off or buffering.

My family stayed here one night during our road trip through the Southwest. The hotel is very recently remodeled and in wonderful condition. Breakfast had a number of good options, including both hot and cold foods. The best part of our experience was the staff. We could not ask for friendlier, more helpful people. We would absolutely stay here again if passing through the area.

This hotel is a new remodel of an old hotel. Everything is new, modern & spacious. I would drive from Clovis 15 miles away to stay at this hotel. Portales is a quaint town with character.... unlike clovis which is just chain restaurants and big box hotels. This hotel reflects the clean unique atmosphere of downtown Portales. You will nor be disappointed!

This hotel is a remodel that went right. The rooms are beautiful, the lobby is spacious, and the breakfast was fantastic. I loved being able to walk to the brewery down the street for an awesome pizza. I can't wait for my next trip to Portales, New Mexico.
