"The Big Easy Was Easy On The Wallet"
Not a bad hotel. The parking lot and surrounding road could use some repair. The room rate for this hotel was reasonable and it's location isn't far from downtown, the Superdome or the French Quarter. The room was nice, bed was comfortable. Amenities in the room were generous and the wi-fi was outstanding. The front desk clerk was really nice. She made sure we had water because it was so hot and humid. We didn't get the chance to check out the free breakfast because we didn't wake up in time. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends.

"OK but not great"
Mixed bag. Room was clean and nice but spots in the carpet had been worn though, shower only had hot water and many of the local TV channels did not work so getting news was hard. Breakfast was good at start but it is a first come first serve and if you get there later it is not worth it, person manning it appeared more interested in her hair and makeup than making sure it was stalked. Rest of the staff was supper helpful and friendly including security. Front desk staff were willing to make recommendations and be helpful. Dead bug on floor in the hall for several days saw the room service walk right by it and was more than a little surprised by that.

"I can see why no review is stellar"
Let's begin with positives: The front desk receptionist, Chianti, was sweet and accommodating. We enjoyed our interactions with her. The beds were incredibly comfortable. And it ends there. We had cleaning staff knocking at our door 2x after check-in asking if we were staying the night, the first time, then at about 8:30 the next morning with the same question. Breakfast was dismal- no cream for coffee, pancake machine not working, and the small carton of milk my daughter poured on her cereal had turned. No vending machines and “a group of teenaged boys came through” and cleaned out the small concession. In pulling back the room curtains, I found about 5 dead bugs, and the corners of the room held old dust balls, and hair. I reported these and the front desk clerk there that morning seemed completely underwhelmed. We went out for the day and upon our rerun at 8:30pm, found that not only had anyone taken care of the bugs/dirt but no one had made up our room at all, including picking up breakfast dishes etc. We reported the issue and Chianti offered to move us to a different room, but that would've meant a lot more work for US, and we had an 18hr drive the next morning. The next day, I was refunded $50 for the room issue, which was nice, but now 12 days later, have not gotten back the “incidentals” fee of $50 we were charged at check in. I called the hotel, today, march 28th and was asked to call back when the manager came in at 7:30 am . I called at 7:45, and the desk clerk was at first pleasant, but wasn't helpful, just kept repeating their “authorizations” showed a balance of zero. I finally asked for a manager and was told said person was in training ( contest to information I'd been given 40 minutes before). I added to speak to Chianti and was told she was “working breakfast”. Then, she began to treat me as if was a child, or addled, suggesting the US does things differently from Canada, and basically to just suck it up. I terminated the call.

"Horrible Hotel! Very Nasty"
This had to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I had to change rooms 3 times due to the cleanliness of the rooms. All of the bedding's had blood and semen stains on them and the chairs. Blood stains on the floors and the staff was not attentive at all. Even in the 3rd room that I received it wasn't as clean and there was no hot water. This property should be shut down until it is brought up to par. The health department should be made aware of this property immediately. There is no thought or care for this property by the owners at all. It basically put a complete damper on my whole trip and I will never stay there ever again. I was also supposed to receive a full refund but I only received half of my money back. Someone really needs to fix this place up and then on top of that someone's car was stolen on this property and they have security. Smh! This was just an awful place to be at. I didn't even attempt to try the breakfast due to the rooms not even being clean. And yes I do have plenty of photos of this.
"Chilling New Orleans East"
I stayed at this property on Nov 25-26, 2022. Property is located right off I-10 about 5 miles from downtown New Orleans. I stayed in room 621 which was pretty up to date and neat with micro/fridge combo. I found it strange that there was a coffee machine, but no coffee or tea. I didn't go down for breakfast. Hotel has plenty of parking space. Special shout out to Malcom, very polite and helpful gentleman. I would stay here again.
"Old Hotel- Would Not Stay Again"
I read online that this hotel has gone through a renovation in recent years. If that is a renovation then I hate to think what it looked like before. It smells old right off the bat. The bed linens and towels were stained. There was used shampoo and soap in the shower which leads me to believe it wasn't cleaned. The beds were not comfortable. The room was always muggy. The fridge wasn't cooling which made me lose food due to spoilage. There were water stains under the rim of the sink. The continental breakfast was very mediocre. They have a pancake maker and that was the only thing we ate. I did encounter a very nice staff member. He may have even been the owner. But I would never stay here again.
"It's Okay."
We weren't in the hotel much but when we were we enjoyed our time. Beds were comfy, ac worked amazing. The shower did however make a really loud noise when using it, not sure what that was. If you are coming to New Orleans and planning on some ding a lot of time in French quarter it's probably cheaper to spend the extra money on a room and be in the city then stay here and Uber back and forth! It's right off the highway though so that's good. Friendly staff. The hallways/carpets need shampooed bad though had lots of stains.
"Close to Tours"
We needed a place close to going on a cemetery tour, so this place was good for us. Hotel was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and room was comfortable. Breakfast was a little limited for such a BW reputation but did get us something to start the day. Staff was ok but not up to our Normal BW style we expect. The guy that runs the breakfast was fantastic and helpful.
"Unsafe area and unfriendly staff"
I came to New Orleans for the first time to celebrate my birthday and we didn't know that the east part of New Orleans is very dangerous and highly recommended to avoid because of the crimes (murder/ car jacking). Would avoid this area at all cost if I was to ever come back to this city. We also encountered a rude staff from this hotel with not so great customer service at the front desk. Also had to wait for two hours to check in because the machine was broken and there is only one machine to check people in.
"Cheats"
Would not accept Best Western gift certificate, said that it was already included. Black owned and run, so if your not "black" watch-out. Needs to be bought out by Best Western. or taken off their list of hotels
"Nothing as described"
The pool is closed, bar is closed, no business center, no snacks/drinks for sale in lobby, no continental breakfast. Tarps covered sections of wet mold hallway outside elevator. Smelled of mold. We checked out early. Tv, microwave and phone wasn't plugged in and didn't have an outlet for them.

"High expectations with low results"
Noisy because of traffic and single pane window. Heard everything next door as duck work not isolated. Unable to have a shower as we could not get warm water, only hot water which we never experienced this anywhere before. We had a coffee machine with no coffee pods in the room. Finally the breakfast supplied was only in a box to go which was not indicated anywhere. Disappointing overall. Not worth the money.

"Old"
The bed was the only good thing about this hotel. The breakfast buffet which was $10.99 was cold and no taste The front staff was to involved in friends, phone conversation and even eating at the desk to assist us with our questions. One and done!

Hi Deborah, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for taking the time to submit a survey concerning your stay. I'm sorry to hear that your stay was less than satisfactory. I did however want to qualify that your review is for the correct property, although we are in New Orleans we do not have a breakfast buffet as some of the other Best Westerns in the area do have a buffet. Never the less I wish to extend my heart felt apologies on behalf of the Best Western Brand and hope that you do not let this one instance stop you from giving the Brand another opportunity in the future.
"Decent stay."
Guest were noisy and you can hear everything while in your room. Staff was pleasant. Rooms are decent. Stayed in two different rooms. First room was cool. Second room wasn't cleaned too well. Good for what I needed it for.

"Worst Place Ever@ Do NOT STAY"
After having 2 of my windows blown out of of my vehicle that was parked right in front of the hotel, under the lights and visible to all "fake" cameras on the front of the hotel, I'd suggest going elsewhere. This hotel, and that's using that specific word loosely, needs to be shutdown. The bedding was dirty, the carpets are stained, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke, and the bathrooms are full of mold. We weren't the only vehicle broken into, there were a few others. Police were supposedly called at 6am. We left the hotel at 12:30 to continue our travel, only to be called by the hotel at 4:30 asking if we'd checked out of the hotel. Apparently the police had decided to show up to take our statements. We were in Texas. We were not going to wait around for 10 hours for the police to arrive. Please keep in mind, they're only a few block away. Also, the glass establishment the hotel directed us too, the only auto glass establishment that had our windows in stock, was 4 blocks away. Coincidence? Perhaps, just seemed odd that when a corporate employee of the hotel came to have his glass repaired, the lady behind the desk stated they should have known better than to be parked there. That alone speaks volumes.

"What does it say when the lobby has a fridge with lunchables and a microwave?"
Loud, noisy, people cursing in the lobby, a wet musty smell. It was 5 o" clock and I could not check in because the room was not ready. The people at the desk looked unhurried although there were many guest checking in. No apology just wait. Nothing around this place except closed down stores. Room was dank and musty. I couldn't wait to leave the next day!
