"1 Night Flight Cancellation Stay"

Upon having our flight cancelled, we quickly booked the Best Western Premier. The room rate was the initial draw, but we were extremely pleased with the hotel. It definitely met our 5 must-haves (for a 1-night stay): Price, Clean, Quiet, Comfortable Bed, Hot/Strong Shower. We didn't have an opportunity to enjoy other hotel amenities like the continental breakfast as our flight was scheduled before it opened. However, the area looked clean, and new. Our only issue was the shuttle to SDF didn't begin until 7am so we needed to use Lyft. Wish the shuttle ran 24hrs. Front desk staff were proficient and friendly.

Had my 34th Class Reunion here. It was a wonderful stay. I drove 4hrs to get here and was exhausted but they didn't have rooms for me to check in early. I was disappointed at first but the young lady and Chelsea took care of it within minutes. I got my room, it was clean with all the amenities and they did it without hesitation. They accommodating our class reunion and guest with no issues. I even saw the manager inspecting the rooms on the floors one day of my stay. That is what I call customer service. Everyone was polite. I will definitely stay here again when I come home!

Awesome stay. The staff was accommodating and professional. No issues whatsoever. Chelsea and the Cust Serv Rep at the front desk were professional and helpful in any way possible. I even saw the manager checking out the floors to ensure the rooms were cleaned properly. Awesome job.

We had a house fire, and were displaced from our house until it can be repaired. Best Western Premier looked like one of the best options available for places to stay because its close to our house, and is a fairly new and good looking building. Once we were checked in, the problems started. The beds are uncomfortable, like sleeping on padded wood. The breakfast is lack luster, and is often out of things like butter for the toast and waffles, or sugar/creamer for the coffee. During the 9 days we stayed here, one of their elevators malfunctioned on me on 3 separate occasions. And the floors and bed dressings constantly feel damp, for some unknown reason. And to top it off, we attempted to extend our stay for a month, again due to the house fire and the hotel being close, but were told they are sold out, and we are welcome to try again next week. I understand that the last part may be out of their control, but the rest of it certainly isn't. The staff is friendly, and polite, and professional, but I question the management skills of whoever is in charge. Now for the few up sides: The hotel is on a bus route, so its easy to get around, and is very close to some decent food places. The pool is heated, and is usually kept quite warm (though it seems to have a good bit more chlorine than a normal pool), and they keep coffee available at all times. Not very many up sides, but if you don't care about comfort, It may work for you.

The front desk people extremely friendly and polite. We had a late check-in arrived around 11 pm we asked about coffee and the clerk pointed us to it later when going to the truck to get something she offered to make sure to have coffee Hot coffee available if we would be staying more nights she was very polite and helpful as was the morning check out lady

Good Morning, I just woke up in the best Hotel in Metropolitan Louisville, KY. I am a best selling Author 20 year Master Jeweler and Family Man. The staff was overly gracious and accommodating. Good location right off the interstate. This was just an overnight stay between home and our destination. Arrived late. Left early. Easy check-in. Clean and comfortable. Didn't partake of breakfast...too crowded. Left early. Would stay here again on a future visit to Louisville or passing through.

i would like to highlight most important thing that i always prefer to choose this hotel and this was my second stay most probably last one reason when i booked the hotel via phone through front desk they send me an email for confirmation and price i asked the person how much i need to pay upon check in they said the amount which mentioned in email since my flight was delayed and i check in late in night and front desk lady said your card declined bcz she was charging me extra $250 deposit i asked her i was not aware of that what if i dont have it i have to stay all night outside finally i pay the full and check in next day i spoke to the manager and she help me out to return but again next day i was charged back again with extra $65 without my consent no email no information just my bank inform me i spoke again and she said i appologize and will return next day i was keep waiting but amount didn;t come back when i was going to check out i recieved another message from my bank that you charged with $8.65 i ask the reception he said by mistake i press the wrong button so all together i was being charged almost $100 which is totally unfair and give me lot of headache and trouble i mean i understand that is your policy but you should inform the customer in email that we will hold this money while you stay really disappointed this time.

"Pretty to look at, but looks are deceiving"

This is a very attractive hotel and the staff is pleasant. Our room was nicely prepared for us when we checked in, but after the first night we had to do our own housekeeping, even after the HK staff asked if we needed service. There was a random pile of furniture in the corner of our room, but we weren't sure what we were supposed to do with it. The ice machine on our floor was out of order the first two days of our stay. The door to the supply room next to it was left open and there was stuff all over the floor, like rags and things. It looked very filthy and gross, not something hotel guests should see. I had called the week before because our flight would be arriving late and we needed a ride from the airport. The man I talked to said we should take an Uber or Lyft and the hotel would reimburse us for it. Same if the van wasn't available the next day to take us back to the airport to get a rental car. That didn't turn out to be true - since our flight arrived outside of normal van hours we were not reimbursed. However, when the van driver didn't show up the next morning the front desk lady called for a Lyft and the hotel did pay for it. Breakfast was the usual waffles, powdered eggs, etc. They kept running out of juice and one morning just brought out two 64 oz bottles so we could pour our own. Over the weekend they “ran out” of waffle mix an hour and a half before breakfast time was over. The breakfast staff seemed overwhelmed. After breakfast on both weekend days there was trash and spills from the breakfast area all the way to and into the elevators. Overall, the main problem seemed to be a staffing shortage, which seems to be the case everywhere. When things were done, they were done really nicely and well, like the way our room was made up when we first arrived. And regardless of the challenges, all of the staff we encountered was polite and pleasant.

Although shuttle says expo center on the side, it does not go there. Breakfast was subpar. Could not get extra towels when needed because they were out. It would be OK for a night but for longer stays, I wouldn't recommend.

We arrived 3 and a half hours after our check in and the room still wasn't cleaned. Then when we finally got into our room, the cleaning staff had left behind the disinfectant cleaner. Good thing he/she did because I had to clean poop and pubic hair off the toilet and dirt around the tub drain. It was disgusting to spend $150 for the night and have to clean it myself. I informed the front desk of the issue, and I was told they would notate it for the boss. I usually stay with choice hotels, but I thought I would give Best Western a try. It was a huge mistake.

We were not given the room we paid for the first night, however Micheal at the front desk went above and beyond his job duties to make sure we were in a double bed the next night. Micheal definitely made up for the unorganized chaos the night before. Staff was very kind. Breakfast was good!

After a long, flight I came to check in at night around 9:00. THE BAD The lobby area seemed to have many people of all ages hanging around aimlessly. The desk attendant, Grace, did not welcome me, smile, or seem the slightest bit interested in my presence. She made sure to let me know that I had reserved with a 3rd party, and she unnecessarily repeated it aloud with my payment procedure. Grace did not look at me when reciting the rules to the hotel, the buffet, or the pool. Again, she was visibly irritated at having to interact it seemed. The common areas needed a good cleaning with a decent broom; bits and pieces of trash were in the hallways and elevators. The noise from the boys' basketball team guests on my floor was at times, unbearable but thankfully it only came it spurts. The next evening around 9 o'clock I realized that I had left my glasses with my ride and was not able to see very well. I went to check if the desk could help me with an unusual request and had an extra pair in lost and found, but Grace cut me off before I could finish my question. "No one has turned in any glasses; I have been here all day." THE GOOD My room was very nice and clean. The toiletries were plentiful and good quality. There is plenty of parking. The breakfast area is kept clean and the offerings are fine/standard. I had to check out at 3:30 AM and the front desk attendant gave me a smile and a thank you. (He should be working the day shifts.) The price was good via Tripadvisor Plus.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and comfortable and felt newly remodeled. There were plenty of outlets and usb ports. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was included. This hotel was very close to our event at the convention center, close to gas stations and restaurants. I'd stay here again!

We were with a big group for a volleyball tournament, they had our rooms all ready. We came straight from the airport and the shuttle picked us up quickly. They set up games for the girls in a large room and just made us feel welcome!

We went on a trip as a club through our University about 500 miles away for the national Ag Expo. We all found ourselves tired and had a little trouble with our room when we checked in but the front desk transferred us in and Mike was there to switch our rooms for us. Always a happy person when you walk in and truly enjoys his job. When we wanted something to do as a group Mike truly knew hospitality and brought out giant Jenga and giant Connect 4 for the 16 of us to play and have a good time in the conference room. Called a week later about accounting issue and he had no problem getting my answered figured out and we will definitely be heading back next year to the same hotel.

Came to Louisville to attend a funeral got stuck for 2 extra days thanks to Winter storm Landon. Fortunately we were staying at the Best Western Premier. Heather and Mike we both very friendly and accommodating. They even made plans for extra food to be brought in. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and everything was done to make our stay as enjoyable as possible

I am a local and a supervisor of a customer service center so I'm pretty familiar with what it takes to provide exceptional customer service. I needed to find a availability quickly because of the heat issue within my home in the middle of winter. They not only accommodated my needs but made sure that I had everything I needed and even with issue I had with booking online which was my mistake.. they fixed it there's no problem. Every employee that I communicated with throughout my 3-day stay was beyond a great experience. This is definitely a place I would recommend for a family stay or a business stay. The room was clean, friendly environment and even a great breakfast that comes with the stay.

Everything was wonderful but what sets this hotel apart from any other we could choose was their hospitality!! Heather, Tosha and Pat were amazing and absolutely are the reason we will return. Every need we possibly had Heather went above and beyond!! Tosha and Pat made our check-out and breakfast experience very pleasant. My family and I had a very nice experience at this hotel.

I checked in for 2 nights bathroom was dirty. Next day still dirty had to call front desk and night front desk lady had to come up and clean it in middle of night! When I checked out I asked for a discount they said they would. I got my credit card bill and they gave me a discount of under $2 of what I was supposed to pay!!!!!! Have emailed them and haven't gotten a response!

"Mini vacation with fiancé"

My fiancé and I went to the Jack o Lantern Spectacular and this hotel was nearby and was clean, the staff was nice, very helpful, and pet friendly which is always a plus for us! The gentleman checking us in was super helpful with explaining all the charges and the fees and we were also able to split the payment into 2 separate cards so that my fiancé and I could split the bill! We enjoyed our trip and this hotel made it less stressful for us!

My father and I used one of their banquet rooms to throw a Surprise Birthday party for my brothers who are turning 25 this week. Huge, spacious room that held our group comfortably. Everything went perfect. Staff were accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Also a special thanks to Miss Chelsea Fox! She was very sweet and kind, and offered so much to help make sure this was an unforgettable memory not only for us, but for all the rest of our attendees! 10/10 recommended for any type of party, conference, etc.

Dirty and gross. Staff not helpful and never anyone at desk. Lobby was hot and nasty. Room was nasty. Pool wasn't very clean. Eggs were wet and bacon rock hard. Hair all over my bath rub, crumbs on floor and the air-conditioning made horrendous noise that made it impossible to sleep.

The staff was amazing! They answered any questions we had and helped us with whatever we needed. Breakfast was good! The hotel was very clean, which is very important during the pandemic. Overall our stay was better than any experience I've had with hotels in the past! Excellent job!

"ONE OF THE BEST HOTEL STAYS EVER"

Traveled with several other parents and several kids for a basketball tournament. THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL were AMAZING!! Helpful, accommodating, polite, just...out of this world. Because of their attitude, willingness to answer any question with a smile, competency, it took so much of the stress of traveling off our shoulders. They were genuinely excited for our kids, eager to hear how things went out the tournament, and helped make everything smooth as possible.

I checked in with the general manager she asked for a credit card to put on file for incidentals. She handed me my card back and told me that is was declined, she told me that that she tried charging 2 different amounts for $100 more than I owed. By doing that the bank locked my card for fraud on July 4th, a holiday, on the first day of my 6-day long trip. She also told me that during my stay that I will not receive any housekeeping services, I should have known then not to expect much. I asked the gentlemen that was on duty with long hair (he looked very unprofessional with a logo t-shirt and gym shorts on) that was outside smoking for more towels; he told me to give him 10 minutes. When I came back down, he started flirting with me and asked me to do some hand trick and when I did, he said "oh, nice you don't have a ring on". I did not find that appropriate. I didn't get anymore towels during my stay. In my room there was hair all over the toilet, a huge hair ball next to the bed, yellow stains on 2 of the pillow cases, the thermostat battery was blinking, half of the TV channels were fussy and un-watchable, and the was NO battery in the smoke detector. When I checked out, I shared some of my concerns and all she had to say was "Oh I'm sorry to hear that". I asked for a receipt, but she said the printer wasn't working so she would email it to me; 4 days later and I still no receipt. A parent with me checked out right after me & was offered her a $100 credit off her bill.

Michael (the hairy gentleman) has medical conditions. Because of us he has a job, he improved a lot and has doctor requirements for special clothing. The flirting was just him being nice. His partner would not be very happy about this. Due to the inconvenience I adjusted $146 plus tax of your bill on 7.15.21, so you should be seeing a credit of $168.63 on your CC if not already then by tomorrow. The room was dirty when we checked in. The staff told me “I get what I get and to deal with it.” I was handed sheets and told I could change them. I had to get my own towels if I wanted clean ones. The cleaning service final came to my room once I found the manager and the nice young man vacuumed the room. When I was waiting I offered to leave if they would credit my money back. The lady at the front said “ I won't do that, I am Busy and do not have time for that.” I asked for manager and found her on 3rd floor. She sent a nice boy to clean our room. I then went three days without towels. We were offered “ stained pool towels, if we had to complain.” I ended up buying beach towels and using our own.

The room was clean. That's the only good thing I can say. The public areas were filthy. The floors were disgusting in the halls, lobby, and elevator. The stainless steel surfaces were covered in splatters and fingerprints. There were home depot buckets with water in them in the hallways. Not a single ice machine worked on ANY floor or wasn't even there. The front desk phone was busy for the entire 2 night stay. The location was a scary part of town where people used the parking lot to speed through to get around a traffic light. The hot breakfast was burnt/black sausage and biscuits you couldn't bite into. I even heard a staff member say to wrap up leftovers to use the next day.

"Beyond me why the rooms cost 160$"

The only reason we stayed here cause on the website it shows a nice bar and big pool. When we get there the bar is closed and the pool might as well be off limits with time slots and 100 people waiting. Then we get to the room and it was average, but the bed made a loud pop every time you move. Like it was on a thin tin frame. Breakfast was served till 11 I arrived at 10 and 2 strawberries and a couple bagels were left. Keep in mind 160$ for room. To top it all off the front desk lady denied me even 30 min late check out without paying another night. I have never had a problem with that if needed by any other hotel. Overall if I had to do it again I wouldn't pay any more than 80$ for your average rooms if that!

Dear Levinewman70, I wanted to thank you for your review and feedback. Things have been a bit different these days but luckily since June 11th, we were able to make some changes in regards to the Pool, Breakfast, and so forth. However, when you stayed with us, we were still following Best Western and Kentucky Covid Guidelines. Now, these are State-enforced Guidelines. Bar's, in general, was not open. At that point, you were not allowed to sit at a Bar and our Bar is part of a Restaurant that we were not able to run. To have the Pool open we had to follow protocol and sanitize between sessions. Families had 1h to swim. Depending on demand we even extended our hours but, we cannot satisfy everyone. I am sorry that we were not able to accommodate you at that time. We do restock our Breakfast until it's over. Could have been an oversight? I am not sure but a simple "do you have any more strawberries" sometimes does the trick. I will have to check with the Front Desk Lady because due to Covid we did not clean the rooms the day of check out and to push to charge a fee was unnecessary. I am very sorry for that. Now since June 11th, we started our Buffet and offering on Weekends the hot Breakfast again. Our Pool is back open to all with the request to maintain social distancing in mind. Face Masks are not required if you have your vaccinations. Otherwise, they are recommended. Should you change your mind and decide to come again, we would love to welcome you back. It was a pleasure having you here. Please call us directly prior to your arrival and I will pre-assign your room and arrange the pre-checking myself. Have a happy forth of July. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful with all my needs... I was very pleased. I just wished the pool was open. That was the main reason I booked that specific hotel. But we made due and sleeping comfortably made up for it.

"Careful- Just because They Advertise an Amenity Doesn't Mean They Will Provide it! Skip it."

Employees were great! Nice, kind, helpful. However, the Best Western Premier Website advertising notes a hot buffet free meal and indoor pool. There is no mention of any restrictions on use or access to these amenities. We hae kids and grandkids. We always book rooms with a pool and hot buffet breakfast. We paid $259 for the rooms and these amenities. No hot breakfast. No milk! Poor quality food. Had to beg to use pool for 1 hr.! Skip. No 'Premier' here.

We were visiting our son at college and he dropped us off late Saturday night for our flights the next morning. We had prearranged a taxi through the front desk, before we made the reservation. Big mistake!! After a hour of waiting and multiple calls to the taxi company they could not find a driver. We ended up begging another guest to take us to the airport because we were going to miss our flight. Thank you to the people from Ohio.

This place is so sleek. You look so good and it's so well-designed. With outlets and USB ports everywhere, too the HDMI hookups underneath the table next to the TV so that way you can hook up consoles. The staff there is amazing. They're friendly and inviting and make you feel like you're staying at your family's house

The parking lot was so icy you could barely get to the front door. No snow/ice wasn't falling at the time of our trip, just no clean up was done. The bed frame has a metal skirt that sounds like a pop can every time you move. Pretty sure I watched someone drug out of a car on something in the parking lot then put back into the car. Sketchy area. Watched a car get broken into in the apartments behind the hotel. 2 inch gap under the room door so could hear everything in the halls. Pool was open and clean though by appointment! Staff was great and courteous!

"Excellent city hotel"

We stayed here as a stopover fro one night. The accommodation was excellent, and the staff very helpful and courteous. The "grab and go" breakfast was one of the best I've had in these days, and the location made it ideal for a quick trip into the city for dinner.

This was the best experience I had in any hotel, the staff were great willing to assist in any way they could, even when it came down to breakfast, they wanted to make sure we got something eat. The rooms was clean and had a fresh smell of washed linen. Bathroom was neat and orderly. Great place to stay.

I was there for one night on a recent trip. Hotel looks pretty new, so everything is in tip top shape. Front desk staff were extremely pleasant checking in & out. I definitely would stay here again. It's just a short trip into Louisville from the location.

Recently renovated. In fact, I think they had only been open for a week before we stayed here. The decor of the room was done in shades of gray. It was very nice! Combined with the blackout curtains, we had no idea when morning came and wanted to continue sleeping. The mattress on the bed was amazing. The TV channels were jacked up. All the local TV affiliates were on sub channels of 43 and 44 instead of being found at the lower end of the dial. All the stations in the single digits, tens, and twenties were not in digital. The bathroom was also very small. The door when open was in the way of the toilet. Breakfast was “grab, go, and microwave” due to COVID, which I though could have been done better. I stayed at another Best Western that handled the buffet-style with the cooks dishing the food out themselves. All they had were reheatable breakfast sandwiches, donuts, fruit, and yogurt. I did take issue that I felt a little snowed on the rate and didn't get what I booked and paid for. Apparently, the hotel industry in Louisville suddenly found that they weren't going to get the crowds they had expected for Derby. Many places began to lower their rates several weeks before. I booked a suite. Instead, I got a room that had a sofa off to the side of the bed. One of the reasons I booked here was because I thought I was getting a suite at the same rate as one of the normal rooms since the government rate is static and was lower than their regular rate for that room type. The same set of pictures happened to display for the suite and the standard king room, and each set showed two different rooms. I asked the person at the desk, who happened to be the manager, and she said that I got an upgraded room, that the standard rooms do not have sofas. I've been in plenty of standard rooms that have sofas. I could have just as well booked the standard room at a rate less than the government rate. This wasn't a suite. The pictures and description were misleading. They need to fix the pictures. A better description for the room would be “king deluxe”. Also, while the rates had come down they were still somewhat elevated. I was expecting a crowd. Instead, the parking lot was nearly empty the next morning. The room was nonrefundable once I booked it. While the hotel is close to Churchill Downs and sort of close to the airport, it's not on the side of those things everyone vies to be. Like most cities, Louisville is centric towards certain areas. Everyone wants to be on the east side. We wanted to as well, but it wasn't too far off path plus we thought we were getting an excellent room at an excellent rate. The hotel is not in a great area of town. Really, it's in a rather odd place. Their going to have a uphill battle, and I see them mostly attracting the unknowing business traveler. What few eating choices their were were generally working class establishments. Their was a pawn shop with rolling steel doors across the street. There is nothing there to do. Again, you want to stay on the east side. Although the room was nice, we ultimately wished we had stayed on that side of town. It was around everything we were doing. The manager was really nice though. She gave us two bottled waters when we checked in.

"Amazing hotel, staff, and bar!"

This is a little late but.... we booked about 15-20 rooms here in February 2020. My dad was in a car accident and didn't survive. Most of the family lives out of town so we booked this hotel for us and the visiting ministers. The rooms were super clean and nice (and I am a bit of a hotel snob), and the staff was extremely helpful in everything we could possibly need for those few nights. But that was just the start.... where we really felt that the hotel was superior to others that we have stayed in was, Ashley C., the bartender. Our days were fraught with sadness, stress, and so many decisions. By the time we got back to the hotel each night we were totally frazzled and in need of a stiff drink! It was almost closing time (both times) but Ashley told us that she would stay as long as we needed her. And, boy, did we need her! It wasn't just for the drinks. It was an opportunity for our immediate family to spend some much needed time together that wasn't at the funeral home. A chance to relax, share memories and laughs. She NEVER made us feel rushed. She was compassionate and a much needed “ray of sunshine”! Words cannot express our gratitude for her kindness at a time of need. THANK YOU, Ashley!!!!! The Nugent Family

"Superb Hotel!"

Stayed at this property last September for my 50 year high school reunion. Only complaint was that they ran out of bourbon and Diet Coke half way through our celebration. Running out of bourbon in KY is blasphemy! I recently reserved three rooms for my wife and I and extended family members. When we went to the bar I jokingly probed the bartender, "Hey! We're not going to run out of bourbon again are we?" After hearing about my first stay she was very apologetic even though, as I found out later, she was not an employee at that time. Low and behold, the bar suddenly was out of Angel's Envy soon and did not have a backup bottle. They had every type of Bulleit bourbon on planet earth, but no Angel's Envy. Of course we took advantage of the opportunity and jokingly made light of the situation. Now onto a more serious review of our Bartender, Ashley I can't remember her last name but I believe it began with a "C." My family as well as others at the bar had a wonderful time chatting with each other and her. She was extremely delightful, courteous and professional, interacting with everyone there. I approached her after we decided to retire to our rooms and thanked her for helping us get through a very trying evening as we were preparing to bury my mother the next morning. I can't express in words my gratitude for the compassion exhibited as she found out. It's one of those situations where one had to be present to understand how important it was to me and my family. Thank you Ashley! BW is blessed to have you on their team.

what a nice stay from the moment we got in the door till we left everyone was nice the rooms are beautiful and CLEAN!!!! the breakfast was so good i hope the managers of this place looks at this i will say the front desk lady was so sweet and FUNNY SHE! "Very Friendly and Accommodating Staff"

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while we were attending the National Farm Machinery Show. From the time we arrived to check in until the time we left, the staff was very friendly and always tried to accommodate our needs. All of the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.

Very nice place to stay. Was recently remodeled. Staff was very friendly. I would have gave this a 5 star but one of our rooms did not have hot water and they did not fix it. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at this location multiple times. Never had a complaint. The hotel is beautiful (it's new). Nice decor. The bathroom is smaller than expected but I managed. Would definitely be returning. The location is great. Lots of restaurants around.

From my understanding this hotel just reopened after a 2 year renovation. How in the world do you spend two years on a renovation and leave out closets? When I was moved rooms I asked about changing to a room with closets. I was basically laughed at and told most did not have it instead they had a hook that hung on the door. Have you ever ironed a shirt and had to hang it on a hook and not a hanger to keep it wrinkle free? It does not work. I would expect this type of rooming experience with a microtel or other economy level hotels. NOT with a PREMIER Best Western. I travel all over the country for my work and even in downtown Manhattan, my rooms were larger than this 12' x 12' big enough for a bed only, sized room. The pictures were very misleading on the size of the rooms. And no where in the description did it state there was no place to hang my shirts for work. There wasn't even a place to stack my bags after they were unpacked. Incredibly disappointed in the greed shown in the remodel. It is obvious the remodel was to impress when you enter the lobby, not your individual room.

What a beautiful hotel! I only stay at Best Westerns and this is the 1st time I have stayed at a Premier, I was excited and had high expectations. Alton exceeded those expectations. The guest room was flawless and truly seemed like I was the only person that had ever stayed in there as there was no wear and tear whatsoever and beautiful modern decor. Breakfast was great as well, beautiful and spacious breakfast area!

I stayed at the BWP for business, I am the liasion of a company that provides lodging to military applicants the day before they go to MEPS or boot camp. We stayed due to our site hotel not having enough rooms. The staff was accommodating and sincere, making sure our applicants were taken care of every step of the way. I throughly enjoyed Alton and Ashley, as they made the check in process smooth and hassle free. Highly recommend those two individuals, they are the best of the best. Also the third shift front desk agent, who I did not catch her name, was excellent as well. Definitely look forward to further business with the BWP!

The hotel was very clean and the service was great. We got in late after a conference and we were able to check in quickly because the front desk had all the paper work done and ready for our arrival. It was easy to get to with our conference being downtown Louisville.

From the time we checked in with Alton, we felt like cherished guests at a high end spa/resort. His professional, knowledge and kindness was the standard for this hidden gem! Drinks and appetizers at the bar was a continuation of this amazing stay with Ashley and Steve. Our housekeeping staff on the 6th floor provided xtra towels in seconds and even waved at us on their way home for the day. Everyone and we mean everyone was super friendly and helpful...Krishna, Sandra to name a few, even the maintenance guys were funny and had jokes. Room and breakfast were good...but what makes people come back is the little things, whoever is inspiring this spectacular team...has got it right! I am a Disabled military Veteran and must travel with a SMALL Service Dog, no issues during our fantastic stay...10 STARS!

From the moment we walked in Mr Alton was a help. We arrived a day early and he helped us extend our stay, and get the most for our money. Very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. We have had a peaceful stay. Comfortable beds, good coffee, clean rooms, and breakfast is great.

Hit the hotel for a quick overnight.plenty of well lit parking. Front desk was great. Quick and friendly. Breakfast was pretty good even getting there 30 minutes before it was over. Breakfast attendants, Aaron J. And Pingaia, were all over the place taking care of guests. We enjoyed ourselves and will return if in in the area.

I had the best experience and met the best 2 people in my life. Tammie Sanders and Bobby Nance (Security) made my stay enjoyable and fun. I will definitely be coming back to visit again. That spent time talking with me and keeping me company while I was here by myself on my visit.

Can't say enough about this place, the moment you walk in they greet you and make you feel welcome.All smiles and polite. The room was nice and clean (king suite) the only downside is the bathroom is very tiny, other than that the room is nice and lots of room. The breakfast area/bar/ restaurant area is very well kept and nice breakfast in morning. The pool area is nice with lots of seating around. Will definitely be back!

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was beautiful and the bed was amazing. The only problem we had was the water in the shower wasn't real hot and the bathroom was very small. I like to take HOT showers but my husband doesn't so he was fine with the water temp. It was hot but not real hot.

Our 1st interaction was with Alton at the front desk-excellent above and beyond customer service. Breakfast crew was good as well. Krishna was a little pushy but polite. We will stay here again. The indoor pool is lovely. All around excellent stay!

Worst place ever I advise anyone think twice before u go there stayed booked thru a third party ended up getting billed on credit card still haven't received my money back getting railroaded with management which in my advice sucks would not ever stay there again please if u want your money find another place to stay and the area is not worth it either been to many hotels and this by far has been my worst experience will be calling corporate and filing a complaint

This hotel is newly remodeled. Best Western Premier properties are way nicer than the old Best Western brand. The room was very comfortable and clean and had many outlets for phone charging and electronics. Breakfast was included in the rate, the selections were plentiful and the food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend this hotel.

I just spent the weekend at this hotel and they have a new system and the lady that checked me in, Ms Grace, was excellent in dealing with the new system. She was very friendly and welcoming. Kept apologizing over the wait time due to the new system. She even informed me about things around town for me to take my kids to. Her coworker Tressa? I believe her name was. Was also very helpful over events around town.

Fantastic! Accommodations were great, clean and comfortable. Staff was fantastic...Alton, Theresa, the dining an bar staff all did a great job . Would strongly recommend ! We stayed in a suite that provided not only room for our things, but additional seating for guests. Although we didn't need it, there was a full service laundry room that was easily accessible. Also the pool and exercise room were very nice. The food was also very good.

I had a short stay here and was utterly impressed with the professional and over accommodating service of every employee I met. Specifically the front desk associate Grace, security guard Jay, and restaurant associate Tarra. These three, amongst others, made being away from home fun and enjoyable. I am headed back and plan on staying here again! Also the accommodations were very nice and newly renovated.

This property is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. From the check-in where Terri had everything ready for me early, to the day we left with hugs from everyone, I couldn't have asked for a better stay! The beds were comfy and the shower was decent. The breakfast is great and the ladies attending are very helpful.

I had seen this hotel from the outside but I would never have imagined it was this beautiful inside. Top notch service. Employees willing to please and a smile on every single persons face. I had the greatest time at this Premier. I've traveled a lot and stayed at a lot of hotels with food service and a bar. By far, this hotel had the best service ever. The FOOD by Chef Tia and the DRINKS by Alicia B where the best. You couldn't ask for a better experience. 5 star all the way. I wasn't a Best Western rewards member until now.

The hotel was nice and all of the staff was very friendly. I have no complaints about the inside of the hotel. It is in a very bad area, which we did not expect. Dingy and sketchy, I felt unsafe outside. Staff wasn't trained well.

Excellent customer service and extremely clean! Breakfast was very good. We attended a youth conference and a total of 10 in our group. We were blown away not only with the appearance of the hotel but also by the kindness shown to us from all of the staff. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff at this hotel is amazing, hard-working, and friendly. The rooms are beautiful, roomy and the hotel is kept very clean. The location of the hotel is very close to the Airport, and they supply an airport shuttle. There is a very good pizza restaurant in walking distance, and a small hotel bar and breakfast area. Overall, the stay was very nice. Each person on staff had a friendly disposition and went about their chores, checking with each other frequently. We were filled with affection for these people. We engaged in conversation with them multiple times, and learned things about their families as we shared things about our family. Their honesty and hard work, but happy conversations with us really made our week-end. You couldn't find better people anywhere! We'd come back.

My Fiancee and I had to come to Louisville overnight due to a family emergency. Most of the rooms in town were sold out due to a concert and a convention. BWP was able to find us the last available room on short notice. We checked in to an exceptionally clean and comfortable room at 3 AM. The service from the front desk staff was incredible throughout our entire stay. The one downside to the hotel is the location, which could be hard to get in and out of during rush hour, though we did not experience this. We will stay here again in the future.

nice, up to date hotel room, except the pillows were both too full for me - wished I had a somewhat flatter pillow option. The toilet was running constantly when we checked in, we were getting ready for a wedding rehearsal, we reported and when we were leaving, the maintenance person arrived (perfect timing) and it was fixed when we got in that night. Breakfast was great and so nice that it was served till 11 - that way we were able to sleep in after an early morning flight the day before and late night rehearsal dinner. Found all the staff to be very courteous and helpful.

We just had our 1984 Class Reunion there last night and it was Amazing! So many friendly faces with the staff and very responsive in every way to meet our needs. Rocky was an engineer that helped with set up etc. Ray Smith great Catering coordinator and Caesar Lanceta, GM's customer service reflects in his staff. Hotel beautiful with it's renovation to hold an event OR stay overnight... suite on the 2nd floor gorgeous!

I attended my class reunion at this hotel. I will have to say that Caesar Lancetta and his staff went above and beyond to ensure they met the needs of our get together. Space was appropriate, food was great, hotel and accommodations were clean and well kept! Staff very attentive during the event! Highly recommend!

We were enjoying a short family fall break trip and many of the hotels we looked at were booked. So happy we found this one! It was conveniently located to everything we wanted to do without getting involved in all the downtown traffic. Just a short drive after late evenings at the Jack O Lantern Soectaculat and KK Halloscream was awesome! The hotel was very clean with lovely decor and pretty quiet for being fully occupied. The free breakfast and parking made it an even better value. Although I agree with the other reviews...a little window covering in the breakfast area would be really nice :) The pool was clean and reasonably sized. But above all...EVERY person we talked to on staff was so friendly and courteous. We shared the elevators multiple times with folks working around the hotel and they were so nice. They asked us how we were enjoying our stay, and if we'd done anything fun, and if we needed anything. They even gave us a few tips if they knew anything about where we were headed. The front desk staff at check in and check out were super helpful, nice, and efficient! Our kids even commented on how nice the people all were, and that we should stay there again. Thanks for helping to make our trip great!

We stayed here over a Friday and Saturday night. The hotel was exactly as pictured. Our bathroom was a little tight, but it was nice nonetheless. Our room was located right next to the elevator so we had a lot of outside noise, but we understand they can't do a lot about that. The only thing they need to fix is adding some sort of window treatment in the breakfast area. The sun was blinding in the morning. The food selection was decent though.

The hotel is gorgeous on the inside. It was under another brand years ago and I did not think Best Western would be able to compete with the old owner. Boy was I wrong. I loved the color scheme. The grey and yellow color scheme was fresh but inviting. Everything was fresh and new. Free parking and breakfast are great perks. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Best Western has never disappointed us. This was a very welcoming, friendly hotel. Since our room wasn't ready exactly at check-in time, they accommodated us with a free dinner and free snacks and drinks to hold us over. Plus we had a comfortable area to wait.

For the price I paid, this was an excellent place to stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated. The only issue we had at all was to do with loud guests in the hallway late at night. We were near the elevator though. Overall I have no complaints about the hotel itself and would definitely stay again.

A friend and I were on a week long genealogy trip and stayed two nights here in early October. What a delightful stop after full days of researching our roots. The hotel is very clean, beautifully appointed with comfortable rooms and beds and a great breakfast in a comfortable enjoyable breakfast room. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Rocky and Elton. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here on my next trip to this area.

We stayed at the best western premier for the louder than life festival sept 27 through the 30th. It is a beautiful redone property. The remodel was tastefully done with great colors and furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean in the entirelhotel. The staff i encountered we super nice, friendly and eager to help. Front desk staff extra nice and helpful along with the van driver and the breakfast staff. And the bartender was great as well. One negative i have to share. This hotel has the worst water pressure i have ever experienced. You would think with the beautiful remodeled bath, water pressure would have been on that list. I think they need new shower heads or maybe just a new water pumping system, but it was not much more than a trickle. But we survived. Would have received five stars if not for the water situation.

Clean and safe hotel in an otherwise not great area of Louisville. Alton Jefferson at the front desk was amazing and went above and beyond with customer service. Maurice the shuttle driver was great. Enjoyed conversation with him while he transported us to the airport. This was a great restful place to stay!

The staff was very helpful, all of them from the front desk to the maid. Location is nice, right off of the I-264 and the rooms have been remodeled and our room was very comfortable. They also have a nice, large breakfast area - however it was rather noisy this time due to a kids soccer team being down at same time we were looking to have breakfast - but that is not the locations fault, just bad timing.

The hotel was nice. It was VERY busy this past weekend because of the music festivals going on in the city, and the service was still of quality. The front desk was understaffed though honestly. I felt bad for the sweet & professional girl Kelsey managing the front desk because she had no help and a handful of unforgiving customers almost every time I was in the lobby. Overall I'd say it's a decent hotel, just understaffed.

What the outside of the hotel is lacking, the inside makes up for it. Our stay started with one of the friendliest greetings that I have ever received, and all of my experiences with staff stayed on that level. The only areas that I found lacking were the breakfast and the parking lot. The parking was actually much safer than I had been concerned with, and the breakfast was good, but very average for selection.

I stayed here with 2 friends to be close to the airport for a trip. The hotel was clean (first priority) roomy, and nice. Staff was friendly. I liked everything about it. I read other reviews that it didn't look like a safe neighborhood but I thought it was just on the outskirts and I didn't feel unsafe. It had a nice big roomy parking lot. The trip to the airport was quick. Nothing negative at all, I would stay here again. I liked the lotion and shampoos that they had in the rooms too.

I have stayed in fleabags, five star hotels and everything in between, and I can honestly say this hotel had the best customer service I've ever seen by EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE. Front desk was friendly and professional, housekeeping greeted us in the hall and asked us how our stay was, the lovely woman who ran the breakfast buffet was doing everything possible to make sure we were happy... even the maintenance staff outside on break called out-we hope you enjoyed your stay! when we were checking out the manager greeted us and asked about our stay and how it could be improved. Truly impressive. The rooms were nicely renovated, beds were comfy and the buffet was one of the better I've had. The only negative was the location. It is in a sketchy neighborhood and I was hoping my car would be safe (it was) If this was in a nice location it would be packed every night!

Visited Kentucky for a wedding. Needed a hotel close to the airport. Not the nicest neighborhood, but the hotel was clean, price was reasonable, staff was excellent and breakfast was great! I highly recommend this hotel.

If I didn't know better, I would have not believed I was at a Best Western. Our double room reminded me of a higher-end hotel in NYC.The decor was luxurious; the beds were firm; and the hotel was quiet. The food at breakfast was also great as there were fresh blueberries, fruit salad, almond milk, as well as the usual offerings like waffles, eggs, etc. As others have mentioned, the area around the hotel is sketchy and can be a bit scary if arriving at night. Apart from that, it is minutes away from Churchill Downs and right off I-264.

Checked in late on a Monday evening, August 26th. Check in quick. Atevlate dinner in the hotel restaurant and service and food excellent. Room first rate, cleanliness, big fluffy towels and very comfortable bed.

"Don't be scared. It's a GREAT hotel."

As others have posted, this hotel is in a not-so-nice area, but don't be scared. It is a great hotel. The service was top-notch, the room was both recently renovated and absolutely immaculate, and I felt very safe here once I was indoors. ;-) I picked it because it was close to Churchill Downs where I had a meeting at zero-dark-thirty the next morning. It's about 3 minutes from there and an easy drive on surface roads. I have to say the front desk staff were tremendously helpful, warm and welcoming. I'm coming off a previous bad experience with a Best Western and this hotel completely redeemed their entire brand as far as I'm concerned. I nearly bailed on this reservation in favor of the five-star Brown's Hotel, which was LESS expensive on my travel date, but decided in favor of convenience given my time limitations. Great stay, would stay here again. Many thanks!

I will stay at this hotel again. All of the staff were very friendly. The hotel has been updated and is very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the expressway. Good breakfast. The pool was also nice.

"Good night stay"

Had no idea about the Louisville area and when we arrived it looked a little shady but we ended up having a good night sleep here. Annoying that they wanted to charge $40 to check in 30 minutes early though. Literally was ONE car in the parking lot so there was no reason we couldn't check in as no one was there. We checked into our room to find a maintenance worker fixing something so had to go back down to the front desk to get a new room. She was apologetic and got us a new room right away. The pool area was good and the place seems brand new.

Mr. Curtis Patterson and Mareo did an outstanding job in making sure that my parents wedding anniversary celebration was a success. Curtis and Mareo went the extra mile to ensure that our accommodations were in tact and that the celebration went well. The room was clean, the set up was was nice, bathroom was clean and nice.

We were asked to move rooms 2 times within 24 hours of our stay because of plumbing issues (toilet breaking and another pipe leaking into the room below) and no measures were taken to improve our experience because of this. We actually ended up in a smaller room than when we started and they didn't even attempt to make things right. On top of this, we had issues with our key cards and weren't able to get into our rooms twice. When I said something about this we had a cleaning employee give us a snarky response about having our card near our phones and that was the reason that BOTH of our key cards didn't work, which makes no logical sense. All in all, the fact that we were trying to be very understanding and nothing was done to make the situation right felt very wrong and i'm very unlikely to return to a Best Western if that is how things are handled.

Enjoy our 2 night stay very much. All the staff were great to work with. The place was being renovated and had one elevator down. The unexpected fire alarm (because of a renovation issue) turned out to be a blessing - we spent the day at Churchill Downs.

Had an unscheduled stay in Louisville and all the downtown hotels were booked, due to a convention. Called the Best Western Premier and they were able to get me, and 6 others that were in my group, a room. The hotel is in very good shape/modernized, as it has just re-opened after switching from a Holiday Inn to a BWP. There are still a few finishing touches being applied to the exterior to finish up the remodel, but they are open for business and eager to make this place the best! From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. There is a bar in the lobby and a hot breakfast area too. The indoor pool is spacious and the gym has the standard cardio equipment, plus a rack of free weights. The room was very clean and comfy, with a giant TV for my viewing pleasure. The WiFi was free and fast as well. All in all, this Best Western location has certainly raised the standard for others to try and compete against.

This Hotel is all redone and very Nice. We checked in and were given several great options for Local (walking Distance) BBQ Joints. Staff was super friendly, and helpful and we did a late breakfast and the personnel was very responsive in making sure we were fed. Only two complaints too much Chlorine in the pool, and as all Hotels poor door layout for bathroom!! lol

There's construction going on outside the building.The room was clean and comfortable, but the toilet was leaking, making the sound all night long. Another complaint was the staff wasn't friendly/professional. We arrived to the hotel before 4pm, being a Diamond member, I tried to check in earlier (we had kids and elderly people). I have stayed in so many BW, they always allow me to check in 1 or 2 hours earlier, but not this time. The staff told me that I had to pay $30 for earlier check in or I had to come back later. So we left and returned at 4pm. I wished she could have said it in a better way.

Room was clean but outdated and tired. Picture frames and furniture chipped up bad, hole in darkening blinds, drywall patching... Staff was nice and had a good breakfast. Hotel is currently under renovation and expect the renovation to resolve the above issues. Not worst but not the best area of town... easy access off interstate.

We came to Louisville for a show at the expo center. This hotel was easy to get to and offered a nice continental breakfast and fresh coffee in the lobby. We used a popular ride share service and it was easy to get back and forth to the expo center. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. It's obviously going through some renovation but that didn't inconvenience us at all. The staff was super friendly and tried hard to accommodate us. The area didn't seem great, but we didn't plan to walk outside so it was fine with us. Would stay there again.

We Had booked days inn (arthur street ) only to discover it was a DUMP! We got our $ back and finally found a room here. Great front desk staff! Clean room and great bed! Under renovation but a comfortable stay regardless.

I booked this hotel through Travelocity and was impressed with what I saw. The room was nice and clean and the continental breakfast was pretty good as well. The hotel staff was kind and respectful and patient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area. Thanks.

THIS HOTEL IS PATHETIC that's the best way to describe it. Everyone is unprofessional from the front desk staff to the manager. I did a block for an event and it has been nothing but issues. I have sat of the phone personally with numerous people trying to book in the block. I have heard with my own ears "we don't have a block in that name" or "we cant find it" then the manager had the nerve to call me telling me we didn't have a enough when I know for a fact it wasn't true. I told people to start calling today to confirm reservations just because of all the trouble we have and HERE WE GO again. Event is this weekend and I have at 10:00 in the morning heard them tell 3 different people they cant find there reservation. I don't know who does there hiring or what the issue is but these people need some help, some organization, a clue to what is going on. Especially when people are spending their money. This post isn't to bash because I am a business owner but this place is horrible. An professionalism goes a LONG way!
