"Stay Away!"

Do not stay at this hotel! This hotel does not honor their word for the prices they quote! Booked for one rate and charged another rate at check out!Was told could not print out receipt and I see why, I was up charged! Front desk needs more training! Couldn't even pull up my rewards number which should be one of the main things a front desk associate should do to loyal members.Do not stay here, if so...watch your bank account to make sure you aren't being robbed!

"Good nights sleep"

Perfect place to stop overnight after a hectic day on the road- terrible traffic thru Atlanta and then rain and wind with trees down across much of the road in two places. GPS sent us on some dark back roads to get there but hotel was accommodating and beds clean and comfortable. Freshener in the rug was very bad on my compromised lungs.

I recommend the Best Western lower and hotel the people there are very nice and polite and if there's an issue they will fix it I never had an issue stand there for the past 3 years I come down 3 times a year the breakfast is great as good as hot and fresh and I recommend this hotel to anybody my name is Sanford

Made reservation night before for 2 nights. Had a problem when checking in. Clerk claimed I didn't have reservation and said “we're sold out”. After discussion and getting confirmation # she “found it”. After a rough start it turned out to be ok. Manager was good to us, allowing us to print out reservations at next hotel. Don't think there will be problem for others with this. Room clean and spacious. Breakfast not gourmet but satisfactory for a “free” breakfast.

This is a very nice hotel, with the usual amenities. They have a really good breakfast. It's located very close to interstate access. It's just a few minutes to the town center where many historic buildings with newer businesses are located. The town which is featured in a program on HGTV is great to see!

The staff were all very courteous and friendly. The room was very spacious, we had a king bed, microwave, refrigerator, free wi fi. We asked for recommendations regarding a place to eat and were given several recommendations. We would stay again. They also have a full breakfast which was delicious, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits, gravy, cereal, and pastries. Plus coffee and juice. Delicious.

The room smelled musty,. Ash tray in room even though it was supposed to no smoking hotel. Clerk announced my room number. during my check in process, this practice is not acceptable. Bottom line this property really needs to updated.

"Clean and Comfortable"

The rooms were accessed from the inside of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The television worked well. The shower was refreshing and had ample hot water and pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed an extra shower cap and got one easily by asking at the desk. The breakfast was typical for Best Western with plenty of everything. I would stay here again.

Ask for a room on the back side of the building, lots of traffic noise at the front. A hot breakfast was offered... Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles along with toast and bagels etc. nice clean dining area with plenty of seating. Reasonably priced for a Best Western!

Best Western typically offers good value for your money. This hotel makes a good choice due to limited other offerings in Laurel, MS in the same class. I would suggest checking other nearby hotels for comparison.

The hotel is very convenient to highways and very clean. Nice employees, good breakfast with hot foods like eggs, bacon, sausage and bisquits. It also has fitness center and business center . The room seemed to be a little larger than most hotel rooms. Room to move around.

"2nd visit- basic hotel"

I promised I was going to shred this location because it's quaint, convenient and close to my wife's hillbilly brothers house in Ellisville. We knew what we were getting by the other reviews. Basic hotel. This trip, we found a washrag hanging over the the shower curtain rod, stiff..and a very well used bar of soap!!! Blah! We left to go to the Ho-down in Ellisville and asked the desk manager to have those items removed when they did House keeping. The wash cloth was gone but the soap.. still there! I wasn't moving it, so it may still be there! ROOM 106! Like soap geocaching! The hotel is wood frame, which means anyone over 11 lbs, you will hear them walking above you! Concrete structure hotels are a little more sound proof and don't flex. Not kidding the person above me must have been a pregnant diabetic as many times as they got up walked across to the bathroom and flushed during the night! The rooms, sheets etc were clean. Didn't try the breakfast. There are other hotels and motels in Laurel, family has stayed at a few, we will probably go back again when another hoopin hollerin ho-down is announced!

Shower curtain had mildew. Internet was almost nonexistent. Breakfast was limited. Quality was poor. The mattress was terrible. The night shift manager was very nice on early checkout, but could not furnish a copy of the bill due to some kind of audit restriction. Not much exercise equipment.

"PLEASANT OVERALL STAY"

We stayed on points, but from prices noted, it would have been a good value. Rooms were clean. The desk clerk on arrival in the evening was very nice and helpful. Interiors of room and lobby not fancy but fine. No real complaints there. Only downside was that the breakfast was bad. The "hot" food was not. The juice dispenser had obviously not been cleaned as the juice tasted fermented and was undrinkable. That said, if you are willing to stick with cereal and waffles, etc., it will be a nice stay. Not far from downtown, of course, in Laurel, nothing is too far from downtown.

Room and hall had a musty smell. Breakfast food was cold and no one around to help. I normally stay at BW. This is my 3rd one in the past 3 months. Normally they are great. This one not as good as the others.

"Rode hard and put away wet."

If the armchair in the room was on the curb for free I wouldn't stop to pick it up. It was dirty and worn. No WiFi coverage in the room, tv reception was like the 1950's. Hotel is tired and needs a good cleaning.

Mgr and Staff were friendly and helpful. The hallways and rooms smelled musty that I believe was caused by extremely dirty carpets throughtout. Way overdue for extraction. Fixing that and updating a few furniture and appliance pieces, I would rate the hotel very good

Was a little disappointed that they closed the pool in early September when it was still 85 to 90 degrees outside. Also, they need to mix up the breakfast a little. We ate the same thing for 4 straight weeks.

We got to Laurel the day before Irma hit Florida and we greeted by a wonderful community full of southern hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hotel manager even worked hard to ensure we had continuing residency during our stay. We couldn't have asked for more and look forward to our next visit to Laurel and its great hotel.

Each time I visit this city I stay at this hotel because of the price, the hotel staff and the cleanliness. It's also near the Interstate. Very good hotel. I have to have handicap accomendations and the accommendations here are just what I need.

"Extreme Construction Noise"

This hotel visit was a complete disaster! They were doing construction on other rooms on my floor. I had to dodge construction people and materials on my way in and out of my room. The second day of my stay I was awoken at 7:30am by construction noise of saws, drills and hammering. When I reported the noise it took almost an hour for them to have it stopped and in fact I had to call on it more than once.

Due to the home air conditioner going out, my family had to stay at Best Western for several days. The staff really made us feel at home and saw to it that we were comfortable. They greeted us by name and answered any questions we had. We couldn't have asked for better service.

Was awaken by the sound of tile being removed from floor by some kind of jackhammer thing or whatever they use seem to be right over our room. Wasn't made aware of it when we checked in and should have to give us the option of staying.

"Fantastic experience"

Great stay. Nice and quiet. Rooms well kept. Very pleasant staff. Close to the main interstate. Looks like they were remodeling and improving the hotel. I was very pleased overall and would not hesitate to stay at this location again should the need arise. The employee who checked us in facilitated my son, who had brought and eaten all his to-go food, in the middle of the night to get a bowl of cereal because he was hungry. In the morning, we were again troublemakers waking up late and getting to the breakfast bar just prior to closing. The gentlemen there, who also checked us out, was very accommodating and congenial while ensuring we had everything we wanted, even after they had began to clean the area. This kind of customer service that goes out of their way is a big hit in my books, as I am huge on customer service.

"Worst night ever"

This was the worst hotel ever. Place was dirty, unclean and unsafe. We stayed because their were no other vacancies in other hotel. Room a.c. didn't work, room smelled of smoke, dirty bathroom and bedsheets smelled moldy

"If remodel is going on, keep on driving."

Staff did bare minimum to accommodate the guests during construction. No elevator or gym access. Breakfast ended earlier than posted time. Cleaning staff was rude. Front desk staff was tolerable, but overall value suffered greatly

"Clean but the pillows????"

This facility is very clean and the staff was very friendly.The breakfast was very nice and many people were enjoying the biscuits and sausage gravy. The also had clementines which I really enjoyed. The bed pillows, however, were very bizarre. They were square and VERY small. Thank goodness I travel with my own pillow so I could use that and then my husband piled the others together to try to make 1 real pillow - it was hysterical! We also appreciated the warning sign at the exit not to try to cross the street. You need to make a right and then turn around further down the street to get back to the highway just to be safe.

The stay was good and would stay again. The air conditioner was a little musky. The best part of breakfast was the waffles and coffee. The eggs were cold and the juice machine was not giving proper juice.

Had booked at another hotel that was not very appealing. Went here to find a room and was very pleased with not only the staff but also the facilities. If I had one complaint it would be the pool it was very small. But overall for what we paid the hotel more than met our expectations.

I have stayed at the Best Western in Laurel many times. When I visit my family this is the hotel of my choice. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. You also, receive a complimentary full breakfast not just sweet rolls and coffee, but a full deal breakfast meal.

I have stayed here once before with my husband, and have another stay planned soon. You can tell this Best Western is a bit older than some, but you can also tell they are doing their best to improve. My stay was in the king suite with the jacuzzi tub. It was most comfortable. The staff were very courteous. The location is convenient to the highway as well as near an IHOP and Shoe's.

"Okay for 1 night stay"

Hubby and I stopped for one night stay during our driving vacation. Missed the hotel the first time driving by because it is squeezed tightly in between other hotels and business. After making several blocks detour we came upon it from what we call the back side by navigating with my phone's map. Parking was limited and tight. Hotel lobby was clean, nice, and welcoming. Tonya cheerfully welcomed us and efficiently checked us into our first floor king bedded room. Our room was spacious with nice comfy bed, reasonable bathroom, typical BW amenities. However, there was an unpleasant odor in the room which I gathered was from the window air conditioner. However, since it was rainy and cool outside I didn't complain because I doubt we would use the air conditioner that much. Slept well that night and had the typical breakfast in a room just off the lobby. Check out went as planned.

Hotel was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable and the wifi actually worked and was reasonably fast. Hotel was in packed in between two other hotels and don't try to turn left out of the parking lot.

Well this was to be our second time to stay there, because they had such a large group come in for the weekend they gave away the room we had reserved, but the woman behind the desk did call and got us a room at BW in Ellisville, Ms . But it caused us to cancel our dinner plans.

"Nice room"

Our king room was nice, clean and exactly what you expect with a Best Western. Parking is a bit tricky as it appears that they share some parking with the hotel next door. There is parking behind the hotel. The hotel is right next to a gas station, which also rents U-Haul trailers - our view out our window was of the gas station. The mattress was comfortable, pillows comfortable, hot shower, no real complaints. It's a nice, clean hotel.

Stayed here two nights on business. Convenient location and adequate facilities for a working trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had the essentials. Would stay here again if in the area.

"Clean, convenient, and comfortable"

I stayed here overnight on business. Check-in was very simple, and I got to my room in no time. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, although it did have a stale smell like it had been closed up for a while. I had a good night's sleep in the bed, although the pillows were a little small. The breakfast had a large variety and was very filling. The location of the hotel was a little awkward, tucked in between two other hotels, but if you turn off 16th avenue, you shouldn't have an issue getting in there. I would stay there again.

"Parking Lot Problem"

Hotel was nice, room well furnished, however the parking lot cost me several hundred dollars in repairs to my car. There is a steep rear exit and cars with low front ends, like mine, risk considerable damage exiting the lot. DO NOT USE THE REAR EXIT!

One of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in a long time. Exceptional for the price we paid. Convenient for the area. Service was good. No problems with anything. We would definitely stay here again.

"Overcharged "

We were traveling from Texas needing an overnight stay. I called Best Western to ask about rates. I was told they couldn't match anything I'd found online and to book that way. I used Expedia. Got a good rate. Then reviewed my credit card and BW charged me for the room we booked. After numerous calls to them I finally called Customerservice. After 3 weeks the charge has still not been credited. Now my credit card company is handling it. Always had great service with Best Western. But will not stay at Laurel MS Best Western again.

Due to a death in the family we had to travel to Mississippi. My niece found this hotel online and we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff. Staff helped in locating funeral home and it's location to the hotel. We had six rooms booked and most everyone was pleased with the breakfast and room.

"Poor service"

When we checked in the girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We went across the street to shoneys to eat. It was ok. Next morning breakfast was horrible. No coffee no service clerk for the area. Rooms were clean but carpet were dirty.

"Overall good return visit..."

I appreciate the hotel selecting a room for me that met my special requests. I found my room, clean, comfortable and pretty quiet especially since this location is fairly close to the highway. Noise was not an issue. Here are my suggestions: 1) Repair or replace the TV in Room 318 as it has white lines, dots, streaks running through it constantly. 2) Tighten or replace the toilet seat as it is very wobbly and uncomfortable 3) Caulk tub area inside as it just doesn't look as good as the rest of the room Guest Services were very good at check-in and they offer a hot breakfast. I recommend this location and it's a great value in Laurel at least than $90 all-in!

"My stay at BW"

My stay here was nice as I stayed for 3 days and didnt want to leave. The room I had also had a good street view. There was an issue with the continental breakfast, as their were a few bad apples and oranges and the cranberry juice tasted pretty old and watered down but overall the beds and tv channels were terrific.

This is a clean and accommodating hotel. Nothing memorable. We like to stay at Best Westerns because we can pretty much know what to expect. Usually reasonably priced as was this property and clean with a hot breakfast.

"Great sleep and great employees"

This is the third time I have stayed at the Best Western in Laurel. The employees are always awesome. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The only drawback is the continental breakfast... it was pretty bad but there are several good breakfast places close by. I will absolutely stay here again.

"Night TWO on the road landed us here"

Since we are never sure about how far we'll get in a day, when we're riding, so we found this Best Western about an hour or two before we were ready to stop for the night. It wasn't real crowded at first, though, folks filtered in over time. The manager was super to work with, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast selections were more than adequate [which was an unusual surprise] and we would definitely stay here again if in the area. My wife left a favorite shirt in the room, which was found and shipped to us at home, getting there before we returned. Can't get any better than that.

we arrived without resersation and received what I ask for . I checked the room and agreed to take it. was very clean the young lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful when iask her a place to eat that night. the only negative was people at the front door smoking.

Clean, cheaper option in the Laurel, Mississippi area. The breakfast was surprisingly good and the fitness center was small but useful, and I didn't have to fight anyone for the treadmill at 7:00am. Great stay for the night.

We stopped in at this Best Western after stopping in a small town just before Laurel on our way to Tennessee. We booked online in the parking lot and within seconds went inside to check in. It couldn't have gone any smoother. The parking was great, the room was clean and comfortable. For a family of 4 with 2 small kids it was was perfect. We all slept, showered and were well rested for our continued trip the next day. Breakfast was also wonderful.

Easy to find, convenience stores you can walk to next door for snacks. Large clean, light rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good coffee, ample breakfast choices. Quiet. Fitness center, wifi and cat5 cable in room. Pleasant staff.

We enjoyed our stay in Laurel because of this hotel. They made our trip so much better. Everyone was so friendly about answering our questions like where's a good place to get a steak. Our room was so refreshing and nicely furnished.

We were very unhappy because we went by the pool and the sign clearly posted hours 9 am - 10pm so we told the kids we could go swimming. Took them to the room got dressed, it was 9:10 by that time. When we got to the pool the gate was locked. We went to the front desk and told the manager it was locked. He said sorry pool opens at 10am. I said sign says 9 am, he said sorry but not unlocking it until 10. So I had to bring up a very unhappy 3 year old and 7 year old back to the room and tell them they had to wait 45 more minutes. Ruined their whole day.

Was very pleasant stay. The room was cleaned and towels were replaced each day. Whenever room service was needed, it was given. I couldn't have asked for better service. Had breakfast every morning. Everything was fresh and the presentation of food was superb! Everything was clean also.

My wife and I stayed here for the first time en route to Nashville. We were very impressed with this facility compared to other Best Western experiences. Staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable/quiet, and the breakfast open early and tasty. Great value and we would definitely return!

We had originally booked a room (weeks in advance) at another BW site but found that the reservation had been lost and overbooked during a computer disruption and there was no room for us. The evening clerks at the two hotels worked out a room for us here and we were given the original booked rate as well. The hotel was very nice and comfortable and only a few miles out of our way.

The front of the building had been hit by a truck. My room smelled musky and damp. Breakfast was average the juices was hot. I've asked for an emailed receipt twice and haven't received it yet. The only good thing was the front deck help very friendly and polite.

This hotel offers great value and service for the price. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and professional. They provide service with a smile. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The bath linen is pristine white, and the bathroom was quite clean. In addition, the hotel is ideally situated near dining establishments and the mall. I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return!

This is not a destination BW. For traveling through it was clean and sufficient. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Usual cast of road restaurants nearby. Only issue was security lock on back entrance was completely broken off and appeared had been for a while. Good nights sleep, nice staff, reasonable price, I'd stay again.

Big bright rooms, pleasant well prepared staff, perfectly maintained. Good hot breakfast buffet, too. Attendant constantly alert, kept all replenished and refilled. You could pay $25 or $50 more nearby and have nothing better. You will be surprised positively by the room if you usually stay at Hampton or Hilton Garden Inn. Not a speck of dust nor a wall scuff to be found. Obviously a skilled manager plus a motivated staff make it so.

Very comfortable and quiet. Friendly staff. Clean room. The only issue I had was with the bathtub. The glued bathmat was partially lifted when the tub was filled with water and the glue lining with some mold had separated and was floating in my bath water. Showered instead. The tub also needs to be recaulked to get rid of the dark stains. Even with those tub issues we were pleased with our stay.

Never stayed in a Best Western, was brought to this Inn after having an accident with my car. Was not expecting much. Staff was so helpful and professional, room was clean, comfortable, and had everything you would need. Breakfast was advertised as Continental, but was a full breakfast of many items. Breakfast layout was great, food was also very good. I am definitely a convert to Best Western. I hope all hotels are this good, was a remarkable bargain, Front desk employee took me to rental car agency, service beyond the call. In Laurel, this is the place to stay. There was a business center so we could use computers and printers. All a visitor could want at a remarkable price

I have stayed in Laurel numerous times, mostly at a neighboring hotel (mainly for hotel reward points) to the Best Western. This time I thought I'd switch it up and try this location. Overall this location is better then its neighbor. I found it fairly clean, comfortable (except for the bed pillow) an a good value compared to some Laurel hotels that cost 1.5 times what this location does. One thing that should definitely go in all hotels, motels, etc., are the hangers you can't fully remove. Is anyone really stealing wooden hotel hangers? These other things are a nightmare and a hassle and need to be kicked to the curb. The handle on the closet door in my room was also in need of attention. The included breakfast was fairly decent although the limp bacon needs some crisping up for sure. All in all I would recommend this location, mainly for its value. I will consider this location on my next visit to Laurel and you should too.

Very clean and convenient hotel in Laurel, Mississippi. The staff was courteous and helpful. Close to I-59 access and many restaurants close by. Would recommend this hotel to any traveler that needs a good place to stay.

I was visiting Hattiesburg Ms for my dad's funeral. However, the hotels in Hattiesburg were all booked so me and my family stayed at the Laurel best western. When we arrived the Manager, a middle eastern man, was working on the computer system which was down. He never looked up to greet us as we stood at the front counter waiting to be greeted. Then his front desk help, a caucasion ladyand a middle eastern lady tried to assist him with getting us checked in, he rudely declined their offer of help. The next morning we ran out of wash cloths so I went to the front desk to ask for more, however, no one was at the front desk. As I was going back to my room I noticed a cart with clean wash cloths on them so I grabbed a couple of them, the next thing I know the rude manager is knocking on my door yelling at me about the wash cloths. I attempted to explain to him that I wasn't stealing his wash cloths I just ran out and needed more and no one was at the front desk. This fella then proceeds to call the police on me and had me kicked out of the hotel after only one night's stay even though I paid for two nights. I called Best Western Corporate headquarters to file an official complain. I was told by corporate that the only thing they could do was make a note of the complaint because the hotel is independently owned and operated. Please don't stay at this place unless you enjoy being confronted by rude and unprofessional management,

Older hotel but very clean, beds comfortable, nice front desk. Ac worked great. Would stay here again. Convenient. Quiet. Very adequate breakfast. Lots of restaurants nearby. Big room. Price was fair with senior discount. Was on ground floor, accessible room.

We stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite. Vey nice layout of the room and very spacious. The Breakfast was a lot more than I was expecting with Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy and a Waffle Machine. Nice area with Gas, Store and Restaurants in the area.

I came to Laurel for a funeral of our beloved Grandmother remember staying in a Best Western in Laurel Mississippi almost 30 years ago. Most of the family recommend this Best Western or the Hampton Inn the service of the those who worked the front desk was very needed. The front desk staff from the time we arrived at 2:00am Saturday morning to the time we left were very nice understanding people.

The hotel accommodations were fine except for the TV remote, which was very temperamental. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Gotta give a thumbs up for the staff and the breakfast. The receptionist, Cat, was the most pleasant and accommodating lady, ever. She was very friendly and sociable and was happy to insure that our stay would be nice. I would hope that she's on duty when you arrive. We will certainly return to this hotel on our next visit to the area.
