A true Gem in the heart of Kisumu. Arrived late into the night and was received very well. The room was impecabble and the staff all round were magnificent. Special recognition deserved for Rachael, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Great Breakfast. Great Dinner Menu. If you're looking for a great place to stay in Kisumu... The hotel exceeded my expectations with its immaculate rooms and exceptionally friendly staff. Every detail, from the spotless cleanliness to the warm hospitality, made my stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Its the place to be!

Lovely place away from all the all the town noise with a lovely garden to enjoy the sunset. The hotel seems to be falling apart though, the WiFi is not working, theres no hot water though we mentioned it several times but nothing changed, the lift was not working for 2 days so we had to use the stairs but the tiles up the stairs are falling apart. Overall stay was good, staff were friendly especially the restaurant staff. George who made sure to call so that I don't miss my breakfast, Barrack, Vincent. Agneta at the reception who was kind enough to give us late checkout and Edward who assisted with our luggage. All the staff were amazing including the ones who I cant remember their names. I did get the chance to meet and have a chat with the GM Mr. Peter.

Best Western Hotel in Kisumu is always my hotel choice option for many reasons: If you do get a room that is Lake facing, you will have a good view of the lake at a horizon. It is a beautiful sight to wake up to. There is abundance of working space (desktop) that allows you to sit comfortably to get some work done on your laptop or get some read-write action happening. It is well located along a great highway so access is very good from airport or the city. Its also not within the busy action of the city nor a residential stretch, therefore there is a quiet and comfortable ambience both in the rooms and in the garden. The beds are comfortable. They bounce you in and bounce you out....hahaha. You will also have an option to dray your anti-mosquito nets that are fixed at good distance from bed. You will love the way they prepare their fish. Try it and thank me later.

Best hotel in Kisumu in terms of services and less noisy location outskirt of Kisumu town. My work was in Vihiga at Sosa cottages but i preferred staying in Best western because of proximity only to learn later about their excellent services.

Really nice hotel, they strive to provide the best service and have really polite and friendly staff. We became particularly good friends with George and Jacob, ask George to make some really nice mocktails and cocktails for you! Food is also decent although can have a bit more variety for breakfast especially. Their lake facing rooms with balconies offer amazing views of the Lake and hills from afar, great place to sit outside and sip a cup of coffee.

I have stayed at this hotel many times.The rooms are clean an comfortable. Very quite location but not far from amenities. The food is excellent. All staff i encountered were polite and helpful. I will stay here again on my next visit to Kisumu.

The access roads are not first class - at least for now since they are under construction. But the hotel is superb, friendly staff and clean hotel. Services particularly food are excellent and with coffee in the room, if you trip was about work then you will accomplish a lot.

The hotel is clean, spacious with modern fittings, friendly staff and it's quiet for someone who needs relaxing moments. The meals are standard too. It's close to a major highway and accessible to shopping joints.

My family and I stayed at the Best Western over the 24th to the 27th of December 2022. I must say the rooms are very modern, and spacious, with clean linen and basically everything one would need in the room. The breakfast buffet is quite nutritious with a wide variety to choose from. The staff are very helpful right from the reception to the housekeeping and room service restaurant! We enjoyed the parking space that is equally very safe. It was Christmas period and there was a band to entertain the guests. Hopefully the county government can improve the road leading into the City center from the hotel.

Stayed here in Oct 2022, thinking its a real Best Western Hotel chain but its not or at least the Best Western people are not aware of the Standards of this Hotel. Food is poor and breakfast is bad. Please avoid if you expect Best Western Chain Standards. But one positive aspect is the staff who are helpful and trying to do the best they can with the limited resources they have.

It was a nice experience being in your hotel, your services were very good and I liked how you received us and handled us throughout the visit, it was one of the warmest visits.....Thank you Your location is one of the best and highly recommended, I enjoyed your internet services because they were always available and I was also impressed by your back up system that you did not depend on electricity alone, you also provided us personal items that made our stay more comfortable and sustainable, I also liked the fact that you could make calls in the rooms to enlight us on certain issues and kept on checking on us if we needed anything

Brilliant, from the parking we were treated with utmost respect, then at the reception we met Jackie who made sure our check in was seamless. The breakfast was fine. There was reasonable assortment and the service by the waiters and chef commendable Service was very good. However the "tray charges" for room service is exorbitant, and thus limits guest from using room service The room we were assigned was spacious and well decorated, with nicely fastened mosquito net. However the view of the lake from the 5th floor rooms is oversold. Perhaps the skyline of Kisumu is a better fit. I only implore you to maintain the good standard.

If you are thinking how you want to go in Kisumu, Best Western are one. You will stay like at home. Person's, services, places, commodities, etc. are working in the manner that you are comfortable and make your stay a pleasure. You have also have a beautiful view of the city and it's not far from the airport.

Travelled from Nairobi to Kisumu for a wedding. Stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect. The room was very modern, comfortable and clean and had all the amenities needed. It was a great place to unwind from the long drive and escape from the Kisumu heat. Stephen who worked at reception was great, really friendly and knowledgeable. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating. We had dinner in the restaurant, room service and breakfast and every time the food was consistently good with lots of options at a very reasonable price. The bar was fully stocked and there was a lovely place outside to sit and just enjoy the surroundings. If you can I'd get a room where you can see lake Victoria.

The hotels is located at ideal environment with ample parking space. The breakfast is very sumptuous and the staff readily packs it if you have no time to sit in. I deffinetly recommend a stay at this hotel.

The hotel has good sized rooms and very clean. The staff are very professional and quite helpful; the internet is good and reliable. The hotel is along the Kisumu - Kakamega Road and not far from the airport (on the flight path). The environment is cool and you could see the planes going to land at Kisumu International airport.

My family had a wonderful experience during our stay. The food is the best in town and affordable with a wide variety especially for young children. Enjoyed the new years eve bonfire and garden as well. The rooms and balcony are quite spacious with a beautiful view of the hills and lake. The staff are quite pleasant, attentive and are flexible to your needs... highly recommend

BW is worthy choice. I must give another try. Nice rooms and satisfactory hospitality services. Improve on conferencing facilities and the outdoor spaces. The value for money is good too but made better through aggressive marketing of the good facility.

Our 5day stay on bed and Breakfast was well received and the rooms were fantastic and comfortable! The morning breakfast was well balanced and very delicious. Thank you very much Chef Elise, your service is top notch ..you are a star!

I experienced such awesome hospitality, catering was admirable (need to say the food was just wooow!) pleasant clean spacious rooms with enough lighting. Comfortable Lounge areas and above all, respect for privacy!

Need to work on Internet and hot water in the morning otherwise all other services are commendable. the kitchen staff are amazing and the Marketing team are top notch. Paint the exterior to match the interior.

Very good place to go as a family,colleagues and the garden is a nice place for photos taking. The rooms are very clean,the reception is lovely,the workers are very friendly and the services are fast and on a higher notch.

The rooms are very nice. Clean too. I have no quarrel with that. Their service on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. 1. Their clearing our process takes too long. I believe at most it should take 5 minutes, theirs' leans towards 15-20 minutes. You had best have a full morning just for clearing out. 2. They left my bags at the hotel after we had left instructions for airport transfer. They did not follow up to deliver to the airport nor did any of them apologize for their mistake. In fact when we called the lady at the front desk, she said she could not deal because was not at the front desk. Huh? They did not even think to put them in another vehicle to bring them to the airport. Nothing. We had to organize ourselves to have to bags delivered to Nairobi, at our own costs, since we had already travelled 3. Also, I ordered mash potatoes for dinner on one of the days I was there. first off they messed my order and brought fries. In hindsight I should have kept the fries because the mashed potatoes that came were not only cold but also stale and when I informed the waitress, she was not the least bothered. She merely shrugged and moved on to other business. Since I had been doing copious amounts of weeping that weekend, I did not have the energy to duke it out with her and the hotel administration. My take away, go to sleep there as the rooms as nice. Don't try and push your luck for anything else. You will be disappointed.

Staff was very welcoming and always ready to assist. Food was amazing. However problems with power cut made it unbearable considering the heat. This was fixed luckily and things got better and more comfortable. Had an overall great time.

Quick and professional Service, Clean and very friendly staff and quite an amazing marketing team.I loved the breakfast and my stay there. Just the garden could use some more trees and in future a swimming pool too.

I booked my daughter to spend 2 nights for her birthday at BEST western. We finished the celebration at home and went to Best W only to find a surprise party for her the blackforest cake and her meal were on the house, Juliet our hostess decorated her room with candles and flowers on the bed, it was awesome. Her face showed it all she was surprised and even had issues checking out.Spacious,clean, neat and sparkling all the way. Their Fish is sweet, Chicken mmmmmh. Joseph the manager is a sweet soul going to the maximum to ensure his clients are satisfied. Visit BW for your ultimate hotel experience.

I have visited this hotel several times. The rooms are excellent. However AC never seems to work!!! It runs, yes but never cools the room. Very frustrating since this a very warm location. Breakfast is always very good.

It was my second time here in the last one year and I couldn't be happier.... The service is top notch, the staff are kind and helpful. Jacqueline at the front desk, Jane and George at the restaurant just to name a few...….. I will definitely be back. This place makes me miss Kisumu.

I generally love this hotel. Their services are just on another level, talk of their staffs who are lovely and dedicated to their jobs. The receptionists are lovely and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to people I know any day any time.

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The hospitality was great, right from the smiles at the reception, the bartender, waiting staff, cleaners...The rooms were very neat and airy. I'll be back soon.

I have spent a number of nights at this hotel. But the last two visits have been quite nice. The hotel underwent extensive renovations over the summer and is now a truly BW hotel, with all the standards. Please check it out while in Kisumu City.

We were on a Mother daughter trip to kisumu and the hotel was perfect. We arrived at half past nine and they still managed to make a huge meal for us. Lovely room very clean, i slept like a baby, huge bathroom, room service, minibar, room had a great view the kisumu countryside is quite breathtaking, the food was very tasty. Restaurant had a very nice sitting area in the garden. Kisumu is really hot all the time. The service was really good, staff were always asking if you needed anything. We really had a great time. Stayed here for a weekend with friends and the experience fell way short for a hotel that carries an international brand name like Best Western. The only good things at this hotel are the garden and the food. Everything else is way below standard. We were treated to noise and chaos on our first night in from a group of rowdy guests, who the management did not appear interested in taming in order to accommodate other guests. We were told these were their 'regular guests' and we got the impression that they are used to bringing in their own loud music which they play with no regard for other guests, they smoke in non-smoking areas and are generally drunk and disorderly and a nuisance to other guests. The checking in and checking out process is manual and we even had some of our party issued with keys to rooms but when they went to the rooms, they found other guests still occupying the rooms and very embarrassing situations ensued. Once again the management did not seem at all concerned about this. The room I was initially assigned to suddenly became 'unavailable', allegedly because I was told 'someone had booked it on Booking.Com', in between my arriving at the hotel and the time I was to check into the room. I was clearly lied to. The billing system is manual, confused and some of our party were charged for bills from the rooms they stayed in from a few days before they checked in. The room I occupied during my stay did not lock from the inside and the management's response to this was that the hotel is safe and nobody could open the door from the outside - and this even after we had experienced our own party being given keys to rooms which were occupied by other guests! This establishment is not ready to be open to guests, and should not even carry the brand name Best Western - and to think the owner, his manager, the HR manager and the marketing manager were all present at the hotel during our 3 day stay and were completely unable to or interested in resolving any of these issues, leaves alot to be desired in terms of how they got accreditation as a part of the Best Western Chain of hotels. A sad waste of an investment and a huge dent on the Best Western Brand! Book yourself here at your own peril.

The place is located beside the lake basin mall. It's cool. There's a view of the lake in the distance.. The staff are very welcoming and nice. From the reception, to the dining area and even room service. We have no complaints at all. Since there's low occupancy currently, they are even willing to let people check out later than 10am. The chef is top notch! All meals are so tasty you can easily overeat! It's a short distance from Kisumu town so I'd recommend it for people who don't want to be in the middle of the town action. The outdoor sitting area is so beautiful, and a good place to have your breakfast as you get some sun. I'd totally recommend this hotel and it will be my go to place every time I'm in Kisumu.
