Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort

My son loves the comfort of the pillows and bed. I appreciated the indoor and outside door room accessibility and the physical fitness room. Rintu kitchen chef, Treasa breakfast attendant, and front desk staff, Komal and Karimella, they are all wonderful. Plus the room was very clean and well maintained with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Excellent hotel, I have stayed here multiple times for work and have no complaints! The restaurant is also really wonderful, everything I have had has been great. The staff and the servers are all very friendly and polite and the customer service was great (Lyn was great as well as all the other servers and the breakfast staff!)

This place is great! The rooms were spacious,clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were great.! The breakfast was delicious and had a great variety of options. Staffs were very friendly specially marne the server,chef aaron and rios are so friendly and there service was so excellent.

Great food and service, special thanks to chef Jack for accommodating my special food request, I tend to stray away from veggies and he had made it his goal to gives me a meal I would love without veggies! We had a great time and I would visit again next time I am in High Level again!

The food was delicious! Everything came out timely and warm. The prime rib cheddar burger was very yummy! Great staff and service! Everyone was very friendly and kind. The best meal in all of high level from the food to the ambiance to the staff.

Chef Jack was super good. The food was all plated beautifully, I was pleasantly surprised when it came out. The food came out and was warm and smelled delicious. The food tasted just as well and was divine. I had more than enough to feel full after eating there, and more to take home for left overs. I ordered the prime rib burger with fries, and would definitely order again.

From check in to check out, I felt welcomed, cared for and safe. The staff were so welcoming, caring and the indoor trees are beautiful, they added to the feeling of relaxing and feeling invited. The room, perfect, clean felt safe, The breakfast...YUMMY and great cooks, kitchen team and best service! thank you BW Team, I'll visit again for sure! I recommend others to definitely check in!

Very good service, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Had to change reservation for second with no problem. Also got in earlier (1 1/2 before checking-in time) so receptionist checked with room service and got rooms that we required with no problem at all.

This is a hotel motel. There is access from outside or from the inside hallway. The rooms were clean and maintained. They have an excellent water park. Breakfast was good. I usually stay here when I go to High Level.

Good rooms, huge TV, best breakfast. Had some trouble due to a power failure and some noisy kids in hallways, but in High Level, this is as good as it gets. There was no emergency lighting when power failed, so it was a good thing I had a flashlight.

We were a travelling hockey team and not the only one in the hotel. We let our boys loose in the pool so they would bit be crazy in the hotel and were constantly told they were being to loud in the pool. The fire alarm was pulled late in the evening and then tested numerous times after that. They refused to give any kind of compensation. The power was out in the hotel the next morning (totally not in there control) but made packing up extremely difficult. As a team we had the same rooms and a flat rate… some parents were charged different amounts for these rooms and they would not correct them and said it was accurate. Not just $20 different.. like $80 difference for the SAME rooms! There was a quiet down time at 10 we did well to keep our kids in our rooms after this point but the hotel was still very loud and not very well insulated for noise reduction. You could clearly hear the rooms right above you.

The food was fantastic, the hotel was very clean. Hotel staff were all friendly Best place to stay in high level. The water park was more than I had expected. This would be a great start for a family with small kids

I was up in high level for work and stayed at the Best Western. The staff went over and beyond and were so helpful. The hotel was nice and clean and the breakfast was great! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel If you are traveling to high level

We were greater by friendly and helpful staff in the lobby. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and access to the pool. Breakfast was complimentary with lots of variety. We were very satisfied with our stay.

It is awesome to have such a great hotel in a small Northern Town. I appreciate the fact that they serve a full hot meal for breakfast and that it is not the same meal every day. They have staff that are courteous and helpful and meet the needs of hotel guests.

The carpet poked my toe, then when I checked with my finger to feel, the metal poked my finger to bleed. It was at the transition from the outside walkway to the carpet. There were metal spikes sticking out from under the carpet, like a spike strip. Lounge chairs were very dirty, especially on the armrests, food was good.

My husband has mobility issues the staff and manager went above and beyond. They changed our room to better suit his needs. Very friendly and very helpful. Room was excellent. The sheets were amazing!!! Only place to stay!

Hotel is okay but the pool is very gross there was sand on the slide stairs and in the kids pool and to top it off insects and a FROG in the main pool, the walls are dirty and the change rooms have so much hail balls over the floor

Spent night while travelling south. Great rest stop and a place to spend the night. No hassles checking in and out. Comfortable clean rooms. Friendly staff, a good breakfast to start the day. Thanks.

I've stayed here many times & it's always been great. My room was clean, spacious & the bed was comfy. I had the best sleep. The staff is so friendly & check in is easy. I definitely recommend staying here

High price for a bed, and not the best at that, you rolled to the centre. Air conditioning did not work, v ery hot in the room, fridge did not work. Oh, well, maybe breakfast will be good, (not) fried eggs were like rubber, the bacon was good. All they had was eggs and bacon. Advised front desk of the problems, repy was "we'll look into it and get back to you", haven't heard from them and its been over 2 weeks. Will not stay here again if it can be helped nor recommend.

From the moment you are entering the hotel you are greeted by lovely front desk agents that are able to answer just about any question you can think of and it is super helpful when you are from out of town such as myself. The hotel had an amazing restaurant that ran to a decent hour and a bar for those who like to drink. On that note I will say the bartender and the servers/hostess in the dining area and bar are all phenomenal. Lastly I just want to say my room was spotless, and the housekeeping was very thorough, and making sure that my room was clean, comfortable, but also respecting my privacy on the days that I indicated privacy. They were more than happy to assist me at the front desk when I missed housekeeping one day durning my stay. The staff in every department within this very fine establishment has been phenomenal and I look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend booking your stay here !

Great place, with the pool and breakfast buffet re-opened. Only some minor things were ngatives. It was -40C for our stay - although the room and hotel were nice and warm, the garbage can outside the front entrance was full. The pool was fully operational and a great experience for the kids. The back emergency door at the back of the pool deck has a bad seal and was leaking cold air into the pool deck, so that section of the deck was a bit frosty. The breakfast buffet was great.

I really enjoyed this hotel. Water park was so relaxing. Rooms were very spacious. Breakfast is hit or miss. Great service at restaurant and bar. Staff did not recognize my reward status. I would stay here again.

This hotel is not only clean, modern, with lots of amenities (including fitness facility, swimming pool, free breakfast), but has a helpful and friendly staff. Moreover, it's dining room has the best food in town. While only open for supper, the quality of the food is outstanding.

I was working in the High Level area in late October and ended up staying here for 3 nights. Service in Lounge and front desk was excellent. The room was very good. Housekeeping was excellent. The highlight for me was the Restaurant/Lounge. The breakfast was continental and okay. BUT, the dinner was awesome. I tried 3 different dishes, stuffed chicken one night, a steak the next night and finally they actually had on special the last night I was there Walleye fish and chips. All were excellent and the service was great. I would recommend staying at this hotel and dining there to anyone. I would stay there again anytime. Thanks

Great hotel situated in the far north of Alberta. Guest services were awesome and accommodating, the restaurant is a true delight. The hotel was filled with sports teams BUT the noise levels were well monitored and didn't impact our sleep

Room was clean, bed comfy, really lived the whirlpool tub, great after a long day of driving. Breakfast had more option then expected and hours were great. Strongly recommend if traveling through high level

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, The meals are excellent in the restaurant and lounge as is the nice variety at the breakfast bar. Comfortable beds and pillows. Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel with reasonable room rates.

I checked in on a friday and the internet would not connect to my device. I called the number provided on the internet card I was given and tried troubleshooting the issue. The internet still would not connect. The help center gave me a reference number and said an expert would call me back; no one did. over the next three days I complained to the front desk multiple times to multiple people but my device would connect at the front desk so they brushed me off. Finally on day four I talked with Chrys who took my complaint seriously and actually looked into the issue. turns out there was a server down in the hotel and no internet in my room. The issue was fixed within the next couple hours. Chrys was amazing but it shouldnt have come to this, my complaint should have been looked into on friday and fixed friday.

This was my second trip to High Level but first time staying at the Best Western. I wish now I would have stayed here for my first trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and stocked with everything I needed and the breakfast was amazing. Best hotel serve yourself breakfast by far. Hot, fresh and plenty of options. I would highly recommend this hotel over the one on the side south of town.

Very friendly staff. I spent all summer in hotels and this one is on the top of my list because the breakfast is great. Brian the chef makes really good breakfast and lots to choose from. I can highly recommend this hotel.

All the people at this hotel know me and treat me like family. I stay at this hotel every time I am in High Level. A special shout out to Chef Jack and all the staff in the Mirage Lounge. Chef Jack's food is art and very tasty.

Older hotel but very nice updated clean room and the lobby, restaurant and lounge were great! Good atmosphere and excellent food and drinks. Travelled for work and this was a quiet, comfortable and friendly hotel.

The hotel is decent, the rooms are spacious and clean, but the restaurant is great. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, the owners are involved and engaged, and Chef Jack is the man! It would be nice to have the daily specials back, but Jack was kind enough to get creative for us a couple of times and we really appreciated that.

Great staff and hotel. Best one in High Level AB by far. Clean and nice beds. The breakfast was not good at all. Food was cold and the French toast was gross it was like rubber and heavy from sitting so long. Toast, cereal and fruit available.

Very comfy beds and helpful staff. Housekeeping left 3 large globs of food on the chairs and 1 on the floor. I reported it and it was cleaned up quickly. Thank you. The chairs need to be replaced desperately. I've heard the restaurant's food is fantastic but have never eaten dinner there. The dining room chairs are incredibly dirty and worn.

We have stayed here every trip driving for the last 10+ years, this was my first time ever requesting to be moved (at any hotel), which wasn't possible and had to change hotels. Everything is starting to become worn and broken. Rugs are dirty and smelly in rooms and halls. Our outside door strike plate was broken. Air Conditioner smelled fishy. One drawer was sawed off, cant understand that. Bathroom had been used before us. Dog fur on the beds (which were made). Sadly will not be returning, our kids always enjoy the water park and the breakfasts, though hotel is expensive these few perks made it easier to pay.

We went for dinner in the hotel restaurant in the Best Western Mirage Hotel in High Level and the service we received by Dianna M. was exceptional. It was my birthday and she made me feel very special with how attentive she was. She was friendly, knowledgable and genuinely interested in us. You don't get that kind of service these days so she certainly separated herself from the mix! The food was outstanding, almost the best buttered chicken I have ever had. Would totally recommend this restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and lounge in the hotel had great tasting food and very affordable prices. The servers were all very helpful. I Would definitely stay there again next time.

This is a full service clean and well located place in High Level. The staff are extra helpful and friendly and are willing to help and resolve any issue you may have with your stay. I'll stay there again in future.

Stayed here for 1 night when on a road trip back in mid May. The hotel seemed fully booked online, but they were able to accommodate us for 1 night when we called them direct. Had a standard room with double bed, quite large and comfortable accommodations. Breakfast was included in the rate and was fresh and quite a good choice. Very pleasant staff, quiet hotel, and pleasant, well kept premises. Did not use any other amenities due to short stay. There is a Boston Pizza nearby (walking distance) that opens till late. All in all a very good short stay, would gladly return when in need of accommodation in High Level.

I loved this hotel. Rooms are a good price with a variety of room types. The food is the best in High Level. I like that we can park in front of the room and use an exterior door to come and go right from the room. Staff are friendly and hard working.

I stay here regularly. Rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are amazing. Staff are all friendly. Have also booked this facility for meetings and events... they are helpful and accommodating and try to ensure every visit top notch. Menu has lots of options and the restaurant and lounge are probably one of the biggest in High Level. Lots of parking, most rooms with outside doors. Waterpark has pool, waterslide, hot tub and tots play park. They have family two bedroom suites which are wonderful for traveling with friends or extended family!

Great friendly service. Housekeeping was high quality and helpful. Amazing food. Excellent bartending. Relaxing clean room. Awesome TV. What a great oasis getaway form the dreariness of the last few years. The relaxation factor was off the charts.

The room was at least 25 degrees upon arrival at midnight. We turned the thermostat completely off and it was still very uncomfortable to sleep in. I kept waking up due to being so over heated. When explaining this in the morning the employee at the front desk said we were supposed to call and they can adjust the heat there. I did not know this was an option, i thought the only alternative would be to move rooms, which I was not about to do at 4 am during travel days. Asked for some sort of compensation due to this being one of the worst hotel stays I've ever experienced. I did not receive anything. Very disappointed and dissatisfied

Week long stay for business and must say was impressed with everything, clean & comfy rooms, friendly staff and good food. Huge shout out to Richard who was our server most evenings in the restaurant and always went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Highly recommend if passing through High Level.

Sick father, hard long trip and our second night in the hotel a nightmare but it was what they did after we returned home that truly hurt. While in-house the staff and manager were kind, after that second night cost us an extra thousand dollars and no sleep, they returned that nights stay, said they'd retrieve five hundred for us from the room that caused all the issues and made our forced extra night stay special when offering to comp that nights room stay. When we checked out in the morning, my husband said the compensation from the guest that cost us so much money and issues was not there. Being in the hotel industry myself for many years, I said okay but they truly tried with refunding us for the awful night and comping our room after we were forced to stay. Understanding and appreciative we did the sad 10 hour drive home. Today my husband came in and showed me that they charged the credit card for that last night we had to stay there that they said had been comped? I called the manager immediately, letting my husband know I was sure it was a misunderstanding. I will say, I will not return unless this situation is rectified. You see suddenly it was pretty much summed up for me in no uncertain terms that if we would have given them the right room number (we were one room off) for the individual "making sales" from their room until 4 am, beginning on Christmas night, that we might have been able to get some sleep and not have our truck toyed with and unplugged all night at minus 47 destroying the batteries and having our dogs taunted continuously with the non-stop vehicles pulling in and out; in turn not allowing us to sleep for 37 hours. What was it I wanted him to do he asked me? Don't I think I should be thankful for all they did already as he talked over me continuously. I'm writing this honestly because I do understand, however, I expect people in charge of a business like this to be honest and when them OR one of their staff has told a client something then please stand by it? What I would have never expected was to be given the run around when asking about the room charge on our card and why it was done without our knowledge, believing at the time they had made an honest error? I didn't expect to be told that they had done more than enough to rectify what had happened followed by horrible accusations that the maid's had complained about us after we were gone (just not to our faces well visiting with us and petting our dogs) as well as the front desk staff who said we were being dishonest I guess or not recalling things correctly while they spoke to this manager? And I sure didn't expect him to now, suddenly today, bring all these things up instead of even once letting us know any such accusations the numerous times we spoke to him and his staff over the 4 days and nights we were in High Level? I do however, expect more of people period as I'm much too old, educated and upset and this world is simply hard enough, without us allowing anyone to attempt to treat me this way. I then asked why we weren't simply charged for that night upon check out or given a receipt then or even told about what they were going to do and why they waited until we were checked out and returned home? When my question was avoided and again he turned the conversation back to me being someone in the wrong was when finally I hung up as that had truly been enough for me. My husband spends 80% of our lives in hotels with his job. We're not drug addicts or drunks and on this trip, we were just two people, with our 2 pets, trying to set things up for a family member we pray we aren't going to lose sooner than later. If they didn't want to comp the room, then tell us and charge us for it while we're in house as we have never had an issue paying our bills but never in this line of work do you treat your clients or any individuals kind and then follow that kindness with deception, cruelness and blame after the fact. I'm sad with how truly hurtful this ended up being for us.

Clean room, friendly staff, comfy bed, decorated Christmas themed reception area, quick check-in and check-out... overall a wonderful experience. This is a perfect location for a good night of rest during your travels.

Great stay! Excellent room with very friendly staff. The restaurant is amazing with a great menu. The business center is complete for your convenience. All the staff are great! Lots of room for parking with plug ins.

Walked in and was greeted right away. When checking in, was upgraded to a suite as I am a platinum member. Kitchen, living room and bedroom with two queen beds. Very nice. Very clean and quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Only downfall was because of COVID the restaurant is only open at 5:30 pm. So we had take out. They did provide a bag breakfast which was not too bad at all.

Stayed here for a week. Rooms were great. Instant hot water in the shower. Restaurant staff are great and food is really good. Would recommend! The hotel restaurant and bar are great options too. Probably best spot for dinner in the town.

On our recent tour of northern Alberta we were staying at Best Western Plus Hotels because of the quality of the facility and standard of service that we have enjoyed in the past. Such was not the case at the High Level Best Western Plus. We found the exterior and interior to be in a state of disrepair and poor maintenance. The eavestroughing and down spouts in places were detached from the building, flashing was missing, paint was fading and the property was not nicely maintained. Along the hallways and in our room was an oder of cigarette smoke, the carpet was dirty, the lighting in our room was dim and a light bulb was burnt out, the ceiling fire alarm was missing and the wires were hanging down, and we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. It was obvious in other hotels that we stayed that particular attention was given to thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the rooms because of COVID. Not in our room! In a matter of fact, when we pulled out the hide-abed we discovered that the sheets had not been changed and there was blood stains. That was all we could take! We typically have stayed at Best Western Plus hotels because the quality of the facility and standard of service are consistent and to our liking. I am totally baffled as how this hotel operates as a Best Western Plus.

Prior to arriving, I requested a ground level room as I had a lot of luggage. I arrived late with my family after a long drive. The bathroom sink was plugged with dirty standing water. I requested a different room but none on the ground floor was available. I asked if there was a discounted rate that can be provided and the lady laughed and said I am already receiving the best rate. We were too tired to move. We just slept and did not use the bathroom sink which was so inconvenient. At check-in, I was told the bill would be slid under my door for an express check out but that didn't happen. I had to return to the front desk to collect my bill. I was promised additional reward points for my inconvenience. We did have a comfortable sleep and the packaged breakfast was very satisfying. I have stayed here before and service was better in previous years. Maybe I was just tired and cranky but try to arrive sooner. I likely will not stay here again.

From the moment I checked in to the moment that I left I was treated above my expectations and after the first night everyone new me by name and the Hotel was very busy for the 5 days I was there for a mini reunion of sorts with some business mixed in.

I spent three weeks in High Level for work. During that time the amazing quality of the food and the outstanding service in the hotel lounge made my stay here truly enjoyable. In particular I wish to compliment by name Chef Jack, Mark, Erica, Lannie, Patrick and Richard for making a work related trip enjoyable and memorable. Thank You to everyone at the hotel.

Outdated, high traffic hotel operating under the "high" name. Shaky outside stairs to access second floor rooms which have a direct access from outside. Filthy, outdated chairs, fridge, tv. Below regular service in the restaurant, not to mention the menu.

The rooms are always clean and well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. The lounge restaurant is excellent. Internet is good but when the hotel is full, ends up being slow so just be a bit patient. We have never had a bad stay here.

I mostly stay at a Best Western Plus whenever I travel. The Hotel in High Level Alberta is clean, comfortable, food is excellent, staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Servers are polite and do an outstanding job

Wonderful, wonderful visit. Very surprised by this diamond in the rough. Lanie and Richard were excellent servers in the Mirage and it is truly a well-run and fantastic restaurant experience. Food (elk tenderloin, elk stew, seafood platter) were some of the best meals I've had anywhere. Cocktails were exceptional and unique. Mirage welcomed us like family for our 4 day stay. I truly hope to return one day and can't recommend this place enough. First class service.

I had the pleasure of enjoying the food and service at the restaurant here at the Hotel. I have to say, this is without a doubt the best place to eat in High Level. All of the service staff including Richard, Lanie, Erica, Patrick and simply all of the service staff are top notch. Polite and professional. I had the pleasure of meeting the head Chef, Jack. His food is excellent and his personal touch adds to everything. I highly recommend everyone to enjoy the food and service at this restaurant when visiting High Level Alberta.

The people at the Mirage treat me as much like family as a customer. I stay at this Hotel every time I am in High Level. The staff are exceptional on all fronts. I recommend this hotel to all our consultants and suppliers.

Not only do Tareq and his staff provide a great place for guest of High Level to stay, they are a great asset to the town of High Level in general. I was unable to deliver, due to road closures, a whole bunch of live lobsters that needed to be refrigerated. Tareq and his staff were willing to store the lobsters in their cooler without hesitation, until the road to Rainbow Lake opened again. It's those kinds of businesses that build community.

I was extremely surprised of the cleanliness of the property and the genuine engagement of the associates to appreciate me as a guest. The team seems happy and engaged. If your travel takes you to High Level, this hotel is an excellent option, and you will not be disappointed.

I travels to High Level for a work trip that required me to be there for 30 days. I was given a kitchenette and it was just what I needed. The room had everything that I needed to cook my meals in and what I was missing I mentioned and the next day it appeared in my room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, any questions I had they answered. If I needed something that they could provide I got it within a day if it was not something they had right away. Housekeeping did a great job of cleaning my room and keeping the main areas clean. The laundry facilities were good enough, although it took two runs to dry my clothes. The fitness facilities were better than I have seen in most hotels so that was a pleasant surprise. The food was better than my expectations! The tomato bisque soup and the salmon were phenomenal, definitely worth trying. I was happy with my stay and would definitely stay here again if I ever have to be in High Level again.

My stay was great!! Outstanding customer service as well as a great room. This was the experience I had hoped for. It was exactly what I was looking for as I was quite nervous traveling given the covid 19 situation we are currently experiencing. I'm looking forward to staying again on my way back home. The staff at the Mirage went out of their way to accommodate our needs and make us feel Covid safe! They had lunches available, and even collaborated with my colleagues for a surprise 50th Birthday celebration for me! The food is great in the restaurant and we look forward to returning!

The staff and hotel itself were excellent and very pleasant to deal with. The location was easy to get to the front desk staff were all pleasant to deal with and the restaurant food surpassed my expectations. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the Best Western Mirage Hotel make your stay feel like you're visiting friends and family and like you are there for rest and relaxation. They take such great care of their guests and make everyone feel like they are someone special. Though I am always in the area for work, my time at the hotel is like a holiday. The care and treatment at the Mirage is above and beyond and I enjoy my time there immensely. The food in the restaurant was also amazing. We had to take a lunch with us as we travelled away each day and we loved the lunch that was sitting there ready for us to take in the morning so much that we ordered it again the next day! This is truly an outstanding hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times this year. it is a very nice hotel with good amenities. there have multiple machines in the fitness room. it is vert clean. \\the \\kitchen rooms have full size appliances and a full set of dishes

This hotel charged more than 200/night for our room which had two beds. Musty carpets and a tired interior which is worth more like 125 tops. This is High Level's nicest hotel but it's old and needing a facelift. Friendly staff though, which was nice. Hotel gouged me for a $5/night sustainability fee after we checked out though, which sucks since the breakfasts are all disposable and they use lots of styrofoam with takeout orders. Mgmt will probably chime in and say how it's for covering sending the laundry to some place in Grimshaw for cleaning....whatever. Beginning to think my best bet in High Level is to just sleep in my car. ;(

room was clean, food was very good, pool was not very clean and very chemically, walls were paper thing we could here the next door neighbor's conversation. paid too much for what was offered at the hotel.

Immaculate with the best breakfasts and suppers I have had in a long long time. Staff go above and beyond to welcome you and ensure you are comfortable. They will send a shuttle to bring you from the airport if you call ahead.

I expressley rang and asked for a ground floor room as my husband is disabled. We were given a second floor room, which we could not access, so they gave they gave us a smaller room on the ground floor , I had to sleep sitting up on the couch. And it still cost over $200. When trying to confirm a downstairs room upon our return, I was told they could not guarantee it, and this is the email I just received. "we cannot guarantee a specific room, on a specific floor or a specific side of the hotel, I did say the booking is of course guaranteed by your credit card but your requests are not. This is just how it is in the hotel industry" This is the response from the manager.

We stay here at least once or twice a year on business. High level is a small northern town with limited quality places for overnight stays, this motel is the exception. The rooms are more than adequate, plenty of amenities, typical of a good hotel. It's clean, and secure, with great heat and air conditioning when needed. The hotel itself is well maintained with repairs being done when needed, and the lot is plowed and maintained in the winter months, with plug ins for vehicles if needed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Both the restaurant and lounge are well appointed with nice furnishings and a warm atmosphere for dining. Menu items are plentiful and of good variety and available in both the restaurant and lounge. Great presentation and really tasty options. Moderately priced. There is also an indoor pool, water park and hot tub available if you so desire. We use the hot tub, and after a cold day it's sure a welcome to chilly feet and hands. We will continue to use the High Level Best Western Plus as long as we travel this way.

Wonderfully courteous staff and a great continental breakfast buffet. Can't say enough about the service at this Best Western. It was incredible. Make sure you leave room for breakfast, you won't want to miss out.

We stayed here after a long day on the road. The bed here was the most comfortable of the 7 different we slept in during our holiday. Great sleep. Too bad it was so short. The hotel is very nice inside and out. Two doors into room, interior and exterior. Outlets for plugging in your vehicle. Kitchen room has everything to keep you comfortable. The carpets are old and worn. They look dirty and probably should be replaced. We had to leave early in the am due to weather. Only one of us took the breakfast buffet which was awesome!

Awesome service from the front desk, cleaning and wait staff. Couldn't ask for a more pleasant place to stay. Rooms clean a bit smelly (body odor) but to cold to air it out. If a patron asks, the hospitality team will do its utmost to accommodate. There is even a complimentary shuttle from the airport. Even though I stay at the Best Western Mirage for business, the experience provides a surprisingly restful ambiance that provides a relaxing home-away-from-home while doing long days of hard and focused work. The pool is a lids dream. All staff have been friendly, and very few hotels have a breakfast that compares to this one. The good at the restaurant is also very good. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised by this level of this hotel in High Level. The room was large and mostly clean. The breakfast was very good both days we were there and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you don't like to walk great distances - ask for a room close to the lobby as this hotel has very long hallways. The walls of this hotel are very thin and noise from the hallway is quite loud. With all this said, it was a good experience and we would consider staying there again if we are ever back in High Level.

The room was well-appointed, I especially loved the side chairs with ottoman. Because of a disability it is very difficult for me to watch television in bed and I really appreciated having the chair and a place to put my feet up. The bathtub is huge, perfect for a hot soak after a long drive. My one complaint is the carpets, it is long past time for them to be replaced. They are filthy and they stink! They have tried to cover up the smell with air freshener and all that does is make it a sweet smelling stink which is even worse than what it probably smells like in the first place. The hotel configuration is super inconvenient. My room was clear around the back of the hotel. In order to go to the restaurant I either had to walk down a 1km hallway or get back in my car, drive around the building and go to the restaurant. For people with mobility issues this is not ideal. The restaurant staff are friendly and the food was good but the service was very slow. To be fair it was the waiters second shift so I definitely cut him some slack on that.

We travel with our kids, so we need to stay in suites. I was very pleased to see they had a 2 bedroom option, but was disappointed when I saw it. There was limited space and only a tiny table with two chairs to eat in the "full kitchen". The week prior I stayed at another bw property where the 1 bedroom suite had an actual full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a 6 person dining room table. I was just disappointed. The majority of the staff were great though. And the kids loved the pool.

The establishment was clean and comfortable and all employees had exceptional customer service! Love Best Western! The food and service in the lounge were great and they also have a great spread in the morning with your complimentary breakfast. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

The staff are just amazing here and are a pleasure to deal with. I always feel like I'm going home when I'm at the High Level Best Western. Always greeted will a big smile and a "we are so happy to see you back here". Would highly recommend this hotel.

I stay at the Mirage Best Western for at least 3 days a month. While I don't love being away from home, I do enjoy staying at this hotel. For being so far north it was quite unexpected to have such a great restaurant and lounge. Highly recommend you stay here if you are coming up for business.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The food is great, the rooms are comfortable and nice. The beds and pillows make for a fantastic sleep. The staff are all super friendly. I highly recommend staying here is you are on your way through, or just up for a visit in High Level.

Truly clean and large rooms (carpets vacuumed, clean beds, pillows don't stink), NO SMOKING, excellent wifi, typically quiet, nice gym.. Just remember to book in-advance as this IS worth the slightly higher cos/night, especially compared to that ash-tray next to BP!

Best pool and indoor spay park. Best hotel free hot meal breakfast. Welcoming loung with many alcoholic beverages to choose from. I would request a newer remodel room. Great fitness centre for all your work out needs.I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would stay in high Level

I stayed here for work for 4 weeks and everything about the hotel is fantastic! The staff especially are awesome, very friendly and sincere. I will miss seeing you and enjoying your great service! This hotel was arranged by my employer but it was very nice. Clean and comfortable, friendly staff and the free breakfast was very good with many options. There was a water slide, which I didn't use, free parking and location close to highway.

Stayed here two nights and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by every staff member. They were friendly, professional and seemed genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. Perfect spot to stop and relax while on a road trip. Full breakfast is always available and the food in the lounge is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. I have stayed here several times already and absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Great rooms, great personal, Great food, Great service. I was impressed! With easy outside access to your vehicle and internal room access to extensive water play area, business section, and well rounded Gym. Plus the in room service and pleasant lounge attached it a one place stop. Also the Esso gas station just down the street makes this place idea for people passing through and doing business in the area as hotel just the little distance away from the "main street". You get the feel of just more quite and security

the entire staff was helpful, polite and professional, I see no reason to stay anywhere else in High Level. I know I wont be. Parking was excellent and while I have no pets the seemed to be a pet friendly hotel

This was my first visit to High Level and I stayed at the Mirage. The lobby was trendy, comfortable and very clean. Check-in was a breeze and the service was welcoming and caring. I even got into my room a few minutes early. The room was tastefully decorated and modern. The bed was fantastic and I slept like a brick. The hotel is very quiet. However if you're hungry, head to the lounge for an energetic atmosphere. Super impressed with my stay and I will be back. An incredible stay.

We travelled as a sports team. All rooms were hot on all floors with no temp control and the a/c units were tied up so the only option was to open windows at -20 with the snow and wind howling in. The entire hotel smelled like pot

They are pet friendly which I love so my puppers can come and they always make sure I am in a ground floor on the back side to make it easy for taking my dogs out for a pee. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's staff.

I checked in about an hour before the meeting I was to attend. The young lady at the counter did not wish to listen to me when I said the room was prepaid, she did not wish to see my reservation confirmation stating the room was paid and she wanted my Credit Card for the room, not just incidentals. It took a phone call from my host to get things straightened out. Then I get to the room she put me in, 3/4 of the way down the parking lot, only to have a key that worked but a door that would not unlock. I expressed on check in that I could not climb stairs as I had just had surgery and could not push any harder on the door than I already had, instead of checking the room out with me, she upgraded me to a suite but made me feel like it was somehow my fault she was having to do this. Her tone, her mannerisms and her words were borderline uncomfortable. The restaurant staff, made me feel welcome, valued both at night when I had the most amazing elk steak for supper and in the morning for breakfast. The room was very nice. I would have given this hotel a 5 out of 5 if not for the first person I had encountered.

We stay here often, no complaints clean rooms comfy beds it's a deal with the breakfast included. For high level it's quite an achievement to have such a place so kudos to owners and management. Special note about the Resturant both dinner and breakfast .... Brian in kitchen and Waite staff doing a great job on all fronts - we appreciate the service orientated staff that you don't often get in bigger centres ....especially the lady at breakfast ..... so great job to all - all food we had was top notch ... lamb done perfect See you again soon!

If you have to stay in High Level, this is your best bet, although it can be a bit pricy. The rooms are upgraded and modern. The TV and Wi-Fi are good. It does have the record for the longest hallway. The breakfast is hot and very good. I think that the restaurant would be good, but I did not eat dinner there. The front staff and other staff all great you warmly. The rooms have a door to the outside, so if trucks are making noise in the morning it is a little loud

Very relaxing place with all the amenities. Great lounge for watching sports. Very reasonable prices on food and beverages. Professional and friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Great value.

After a trip up to the NWT, our stay at the High Level Best Western Plus added just the right touch of luxury and comfort. The food was good (loved the tomato soup) and the prices were reasonable. The service was great. Very friendly and courteous. I also slept exceptionally well in our well-equipped suite.

We had a suite that was perfect for our needs. Our room had a kitchenette with a regular sized fridge. Our granddaughters were excited to try the pool and water slide. The pool was very busy as it is quite popular with the local families who can use it for a fee. Also guests from several nearby hotels can use the facility. Our granddaughters found the water slide very fast and really enjoyed it but overall they thought the pool was too crowded. The pool towels are thin and seemed smaller than normal. The breakfast buffet features a variety of hot and cold items and everyone found something that they enjoyed for breakfast.

i travel quite often for business in northern Alberta this trip my wife was available to come with me , i honestly wouldn't of sugested she do so except i had a couple of days to spend in High Level and knew she would appricate this GEM in the north ,we were shown a lovely suite at an amazing price withjacuzzi to boot .after settling into our room we headed down to their elegantly appointed dining room . we had the pleasure of Kingsley serving our table who was very attentive yet a discrete presence during the meal and what a meal it was I had the fresh seasonal elk and my wife had the porcini chicken or should I say we had as they too delicious not to share, I couldn't offer higher recommendation

This is probably the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel and am very happy to say that it has progressively improved each time. Not only in friendly service, but there has been great improvements to the property, the room we were in is beautifully renovated, the beds are very comfortable. If it were not for my past visits, and for the old exterior walkway on the 2nd floor, I would have guessed that it was newly built! The restaurant is open, welcoming and very beautiful. The staff at both the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly, engaging, and assuring that we were satisfied. I had booked my reservation with expedia.ca (for the points) and was unable to request the government rate, however, I showed my ID at check-in, and the agent was able to adjust my rate accordingly. KUDOS! I drive annually between Yellowknife and Edmonton and will always stay at this location!

We stay here on a regular basis. Rooms are very clean and food is very good as well. This is our mid way point from home to Edmonton and it suits our needs as a stopping point. Staff are very friendly.

Best Western staff awesome, everyone was so very friendly and helpful. The building appeared to be new but was told it was 10yrs old. Entrance very clean and open, hallways clean and smelled fresh. Rooms were awesome, very large, very new looking, clean and smelled nice. Bathroom clean and sanitized. Restaurant had a good selection of food and tasted fresh and good. Staff in the same were very professional and checked in often to make sure we were satisfied. Can not say enough about Best Western Hotels.

The Best Western in High Level, Alberta is a welcome oasis of comfort at the end of a long day of driving. The reception staff are amazing and I am amazed that one of the check-in staff recognized me after 2 years. She was just as pleasant now as she was back then. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff member attending to the food and tables was pleasant and attentive. A great place to stay and I will continue to stay here when my travels take me north.

My husband and I stayed here travelling to and from the North. It was a larger hotel than we anticipated. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff were quite friendly. There was also an affordable coin operated washer and dryer available which we really appreciated. The onsite restaurant was very nice and the food was very good. Would also be a great place if you have kids as there is a pool with a waterslide available for use too. If you have the opportunity to stay in High Level AB I really recommend this hotel.

We were travelling to Yellowknife and stayed here. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Laundry was on site which we used only 2 dollars. Ate in the restaurant, great food. Complementary breakfast had lots of options and the hot food was hot. They make a bruschetta for a dinner appetizer that is one of the best I've had. Staff are very friendly.

What a wonderful oasis. We were transported away, feeling like we were in the middle of a big, cosmopolitan city. The food was exquisite and the service caring and attentive. The atmosphere sophisticated. Bravo!

Since it opened I've stayed at this hotel every time I go to High Level. The staff are great. Very accommodating. The facility is amazing. I really love the lounge area. Great food and a great atmosphere.

The is the best hotel in the country. Feels like going home to visit with all your friends to see Elizabeth, Tareq, Kingley, Damion, Damien, Shea and Crys! Really love these guys and miss them if I have not been back in a while. Super comfy beds and amazing breakfast (loved the French toast and homemade salsa) . Thanks for the yummy new vanilla coffee cream. But in the end, the staff is what makes this the BEST hotel ever! Good job Mark for creating a team that treats us like family. Great rooms, food and helpful staff. One of the best buffet breakfasts for a chain. Had two great dinner meals at the restaurant. Nothing but good things to say about this place in this Northern local. This is the hotel to stay in when visiting High Level and area.

I arrived just after noon and although check-in isn't until 4 they were friendly and accommodated me quickly anyways. The rooms are pleasant. There's a door to access the room from outside in the parking area like a motel but also one from the interior like a hotel as well which was a nice feature, so depending where you're coming from it makes for easy access options. Having said that I could hear the noise from outside the room in the parking lot and could also hear the neighbours tv so there isn't the greatest amount of soundproofing, which was too bad. The room is a decent size and comfortable with a bed, chair, tables and chairs, tv, coffee maker and fridge. There is a fitness room on site with a weight machine, two treadmills, an elliptical, a stationary bike and two TVs. There's a neat water park with a hot tub. I didn't end up having time to use it but it's a nice feature that's offered to guests. I had dinner in the on site restaurant. The service was good. I had the chicken ceaser salad which was average and then had the blueberry and white chocolate cheesecake which was quite good. A full breakfast is also included. There is a lot of parking available and you can park right outside where your room is. It's right off the highway in a convenient location but you can't hear the traffic going by so that's great. Unfortunately they were doing road construction right outside so when I arrived one area was blocked off and i had to go around another way. Later in the day when I came back I went the way I left expecting that to be okay but they had moved on and blocked that area off so then I had to switch and go back around again. To be expected when road work is happening and no fault of the hotel it was just a small hassle. The staff was all lovely and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend it if you're ever in the area.

This hotel treated me like Royalty. The staff were friendly and engaging, the room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. I will stay here again and I will recommend my friends and colleagues to come and enjoy this hotel (it was a home away from home)

I have stayed in Best Western facilities before, this one not that new, it is very spacious at the lobby with a big restaurant. Good selection of menu as well. The guest rooms are not that big but I find the colour and style in the curtains and beddings too tacky. It is one of the hotels that has the best swimming pool and water park...the only problem is ..they are only open from 4pm to 10pm. I don't know why? Some guests overnighting would like to take a dip in themorning before they check out but this one is ridiculous. Although they open the pool to the public for use instead of just the guests primarily. The own should have a swimming pool (indoor).

The Mirage has undergone big renovations since my last visit. The Exterior is pleasant and I was most impressed with the lobby and restaurant layout. The restaurant was great, lots of space, well appointed and a large curving exterior wall that added a pleasing overall look and some privacy in the large space. The menu was good with lots of good choices, although the elk and bison were not in season.

I've been to the lounge here several times, and it never disappoints. This Friday night I had a couple of beers, and a fantastic, very tasty burger with fries. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the burger was one of the best I've had in a long time. The three men in the lounge seemed to really enjoy their jobs, and the ambiance and service were also outstanding. I've been here before, and I'll be back! It's probably the nicest restaurant in High Level, and you feel like you're not in such a small, northern town, when you're there.

A great night stay. We always use this hotel for our conferences. Good breakfast buffet, with waffles, omelets, etc. Room service was very quick. Lots of parking, even for vehicles with trailers. Good location, next to highway, but very little noise from traffic.

I have stayed at this location a couple times before for work and was looking forward to my stay here again with my 5 employees. I have raved about the food in the Mirage and for most of the suppers it was good, but we did encounter hard as pucks garlic toast, hot fudge brownies that were not hot nor fudge and the service was slow. It took 2 1/2 hours to be served and pay the bill. The last night I was here, I decided I didn't want to wait that long in the restaurant so I got room service. All good with the food arriving quickly, but the delivery person forgot my bill and subbed my chocolate milk for white milk. When she left, I noticed I had no cutlery and tried endlessly calling the front desk, but no reply. I was quite annoyed that I had to walk down to the lobby in my pajamas to find the lady at the front desk on the move. When I told her I had been trying and trying to call but no answer, she nonchalantly said she was in the restaurant. I asked her to get my cutlery as there was a line up to the restaurant and I was already annoyed that I had to come down in my pjs. The whole point of room service is so I can relax in my room! Also, I found it to be noisy with people outside in the hallways on the inside as well as the outside doors.

Room and bed was awesome Place was quiet. The restaurant looked fabulous but unfortunately we couldn't stay but I did grab coffee to go n it was ??STARBUCKS!?? I would definitely recommend this place and stay again The staff was very polite and cheerful

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the check in was a breeze. The room was comfortable and clean and had interior and exterior doors, which was nice to stay warm on the way down to breakfast but getting to my work truck way easier than having to go through the lobby. The breakfast was a lot better than the standard hotel breakfast and offered a variety of choices that changed from day to day, which is something I really look for when I am planning a multi-day stay. While the internet wasn't the fastest, it was a lot better than some other hotels in the area and was more than enough to complete my paperwork and watch Netflix. And I would highly recommend checking out the hotel restaurant because its got a very good selection of delicious food.

Clean, spacious room.....fridge,, coffee maker (would be nice to have more than one free coffee).....comfortable beds and pillows. Nice hotel overall. Not sure about outdoor deck though...People go out there to smoke and walking is far louder than the sounds coming from inside. Friendly staff. Overall a pleasant stay.

This was my 1st trip here and 1st experience with Best Western... if they are all this top notch I'll be switching brands. Great service, friendly and helpful, the food was amazing including the free breakfast, small little extras that go a long way for a constant traveler like myself. Nice lounge where you can have a drink and catch the game. Kudos to the entire staff and owners.

I stay in hotels 6 months + a year and from the front desk, manager, servers they all show a certain pride and happiness in providing professional service. Rooms are decent, breakfast is mehhhh. Guests with longer reservations typically professionals are given upgrades and grouped together in areas of the hotel while trying to avoid the weekend crowds that can cause noise.

Great hotel, It is known for its great breakfast, included in your stay for Free. Staff always great, stayed here at least 20 times, comfortable clean rooms. Menus in restaurant and bar have a good selection and price.

Nice hotel with a great restaurant and excellent customer service. The temperature was a bit warm for our liking in the hallway and guest suite, but it was easily controlled with opening the door to the outside in our room. That was a nice feature. Very comfortable bed with a microwave and mini fridge. Our room was 211, which was only about 5 doors down a super long hallway. At the end of the long hallway was the stairs to the pool. Great for kids and included a kids play area, hot tub and a water slide. Our check in and check out went smooth and our dinner with our large party went very well. Thanks to Tareq and Kingsley. We highly recommend staying here. It suited our hockey team very well. The hot breakfast was also delish. It consisted of sausages, eggs (hard boiled and omelette style) with salsa, cheese and green onions to put inside. There was also hash browns, two waffle stations, breads, pastries oatmeal, yogurt and cereals. Good spread for sure. The price of this hotel is fairly decent also.

Too many things went wrong this stay, broken key door led to a very long walk down the end of the hallway, rude hockey kids in the pool, thermostat was backwards so it was super hot, noisy hockey teen above and on the side of up, no paperview, staticy phone in the living room.

I am an unhappy customer. To be honest I will never stay here again. This hotel is not anywhere even near "resort like" First of all when we arrived and during our entire stay the parking lot was not shoveled, the stairs up to the rooms were slippery. The room was dark and dingy.My husband had to keep fixing the toilet that wouldnt flush. I understand that you cant please everyone but the room and hallways were so hot and stuffy. The swimming pool area was like a sauna, and very unsanitary, hairs stuck all over the floor, greenish looking water. The guy working at the pool was very friendly, I wish I could say the same about the guy at the front desk. All night we heard screaming, crying, partying and thumping below us. Breakfast to be honest was just like any hotel breakfast, nothing special. Not even hot chocolate. The pool wasnt open until 1:00pm which was dissapointing. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1is because of the housekeeping staff. There was a man and a woman. They were super friendly and pleasant to talk to. The price is horrendous. Almost $200 per night....all I can say is I wouldnt stay here again for even half of the price. I

The hotel is fine enough, but while the fitness centre is 24hrs, the pool is continuously closed. They will open the door, but only if a waiver is signed. Then it is left unlocked. Sign the waiver at check-in, and you can use the pool anytime!

The entire experience was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and cater to any need. The room was very clean and the lay out was extremely spacious. The food was very enjoyable, as well as the handmade cocktails. I would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to everyone I know. I was very impressed with the overall level of comfort at this hotel. I was not expecting this level of comfort and was pleasantly surprised. The price point was bang on for the room. The food was excellent and the staff were all a pleasure to deal with. Try the Elk if its in season as it was quite good! I will definitely stay here again on my next work visit!

The staff at the hotel were helpful however the room was quiet cold. Staff offered to fix and provided a heater plus offered to move to another room. I was in the middle of a nice di had a fair bit of supplies with me so would rather that we stayed in the same room. The room was fairly pricey though and a discount was nit offered or agreed to when I suggested that. Sometime during the night the heat did kick in so the heater was no longer needed.

Mirage is beautiful and the staff very very helpful and friendly. I was surprised to find such a luxurious and lovely hotel in this remote community. Would recommend it to anyone travelling in the area for whatever reason. Nice pool, water slide and hot tub.

Great stay! Staff was nice, breakfast was great - the pool was fun for the kids. Everything was clean. I will definitely stay there again. Matt's Pizza down the road as well was worth the trip. Thank you!

I always stay at this location when I am in High Level. Rooms are nice. The food is good. Easy to locate with good access. They have everything that I need when I am in town for business. I have not been disappointed yet.

The Mirage offers a high standard in small town Alberta, and the staff are great, rooms are always clean and comfortable. Food is awesome. We always use this hotel and have done since it was opened. Great value for money

Spacious room, great decor, great breakfast, nice friendly staff. Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The bed was absolutely wonderful, probably better than my one at home. The free breakfast assortment is great. Just love it when I can make my own waffles

My only complaint was the noise when staying on the ground floor. I would ask for a room in the upper floors. Aside from that, very clean and good breakfast. My kids enjoyed the water park aside from the pool towels were like a large facecloth, they need to be upgraded.

We came to high level for the first time for my sons hockey. Loved the pool and water park area. Our 2 bedrooms suite was perfect. Breakfast had a lot of variety. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Only complaint was that the rooms aren't very sound proof and we heard a lot of kids running up and down halls or adults talking as they walked by. More than in a usual hotel stay.

Had no issues except a long walk to the room. Bed was comfortable with ample pillows. TV was large but frustrated a little with selection of channels. Otherwise, great place to stay while in High Level and I recommend to any traveler.

Top notch service from the entire team and the lounge has a great atmosphere and quality food!!! The servers at the lounge are excellent every time I go there. The rooms are clean, the business center is very modern, clean and so convenient. I also stay at the Best Western when in High Level

When visiting such a remote northerly small town, my expectations were low for hotels. The Best Western 'Mirage' though far exceeded my expectations. Rooms were tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. They also have been kept looking completely new - though I'm sure the hotel is at least 5 years old, and are frequently visited by industry workers in safety gear, muddy boots, etc. The hotel is also nicely equipped with a good restaurant that is architecturally interesting, and a water splash park, water slide and pool complex for hotel guests and locals. I was also able to see the Northern Lights from the parking lot which was breathtaking. The Vegas theme in this town is amusing and creative. The hotel also lives up to Vegas 'Mirage' fame with having a SUPER LONG hallway - but at least you have somewhere to walk on a cold winter's day! My only negative surprise was the price. I've stayed in 4 star hotels in big cities for far less. I guess though they do have a captive audience. If coming back to this area, there's nowhere else I'd want to stay.

The rooms are clean, beds are awesome - just don't count on breakfast if you have a timeline the hot buffet was empty it was 9:15 am Buffet goes to 11 on Saturdays. We had a meeting at 10 and the hot buffet wasn't filled until 9:45 so had to make due with cold cereal. The wait staff in the restaurant for the buffet were not in any way helpful they avoided eye contact and moved away when I attempted to approach so no extra napkins for the spilled milk... Real good thing the beds are so comfortable that's why I be back :)

The décor in the lobby impresses right away. The front desk staff are very polite and helpful. The menu and the food at the restaurant is excellent, the hotel and rooms are very clean, and the beds are very comfortable. This is the place to stay when you are in High Level.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds and large room size. Bathrooms are clean. Restaurant is good with good service. Internet is free and good quality. Hotel is on the main highway.

Great property would stand out in and market so in High Level it is outstanding. Chef Jacques came to our table and explained how they made the feature for scratch and by hand. Owner greeted us warmly welcomed us to the lounge for our dinner.

We stayed at the Best Western Mirage Hotel and Resort in High Level , Alberta. The access to the hotel was very convenient-right off the highway. The rooms were very clean and well appointed and the hotel offerred every amenity available for being located in the far northern reaches. Hearty breakfasts as well as dinners and lunches were available. There was an indoor pool as well. High speed internet was a plus. Can't think of one negative. A really nice place to spend a night or two.

This was our 7th night of a 3-week road trip, and so far, this was our favorite hotel. We both liked the way the rooms were set up, where we could park at the door and walk in, but then also exit at the other side of the room into an interior hallway. This way, we could get to the lobby and restaurant from the inside. It was very clean and quiet, spacious and comfortable, with a roomy bathroom, too. We are staying again on our way back south, and we're really happy to stay again. We're hoping we get the first floor again. Also, we used the guest laundry, which was a little less expensive than the laundry we had used a few days before at a different chain.

I have staying at this hotel frequently & their service exceeds my expectations, the service is excellent & staff is cooperative & friendly, excellent value for money, just make sure you make your reservation on time as there is a high rate of occupancy all the time

Other than the vast hwy construction in front of Hotel & no seniors rates, we enjoyed stay. Sorry, I am not willing to write a book about the stay. We simply only over nighted at your Hotel & did not use any facilities. The small fridge did not have a freezer. That would have been nice for the next days travel of 800 Km.

This is a good standard hotel. The food was ok. Patrick was interesting, he played with the kids and was quite hyper, like a big kid. They loved it. The pool has life jackets for the kids, the supervision is really up to parents so don't expect any supervision. The hotel is well kept and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. Ideally located for a rest going north or south.

The Best Western Mirage Hotel in High Level, Alberta is where I always choose to stay. The staff are professional, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean, quiet, and have everything you need for a great sleep. The included breakfast is stellar. This hotel always exceeds my expectations.

Good clean hotel after a long day of travel to the Northwest Territories from Edmonton, Alberta. Quiet at night. The pool area was great, but we had to sign a waiver and there was no one there right away and we didn't know where to get towels, no one told us. However, the waterpark was great! The food was a bit pricey, but good and the breakfast was good. It was a good stay. Wifi wouldn't connect though.

The Best Western Plus lodging in High Level, Alberta was a very pleasant experience for my husband and me. We are happy we stayed there. The staff at the Best Western Plus were incredibly pleasant, competent, and helpful.

Best hotel pool for kids with water slides in both pools. Enjoyed the hot tub. Loved the breakfast selection as well though would like it to extend a half hour. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Free breakfast was very good. Room and bed were clean and comfortable. Restaurant and lounge were also nice with good service and value. Guest laundry worked very well and quickly. Plenty of parking space.

We stay here every time we are in High Level, which is quite often. We are pleased with the accommodations and service that we receive. I would recommend anyone to stay here when either passing through or staying for shopping, visiting or getting vehicles serviced. It would be nice if their breakfast buffet was assorted from day to day as it can get stagnant to eat the same food two days in a row, but that may have been a one time thing that we experienced.

Not only are the hotel rooms clean and comfortable, but the complimentary breakfast is the best I've had at any hotel! Starbucks coffee and lots of hot breakfast choices. It's in a great location on the highway and large enough for room availability.

Always nice to stay here on a road trip. Breakfast is really good a the pool is a great spot for kids. The double rooms to access from the outside is very handy and convenient. Friendly staff and the hotel is pet friendly ! Can't ask for more.

It has been many years since I have been in High Level on business. With lots of road construction happening to the west and north off the hotel (highway realignment) many contractor personnel are staying in the hotel. With limited rooms available we had to book 2 of I believe 6 business rooms in the hotel. These rooms are located on the second floor relatively close to the lobby and business centre. Keep in mind this hotel is is very long and narrow and walking down the long narrow hallway, it feels like the far rooms are kilometers away. The hotel has a pub and a restaurant. Having stayed in many hotels in High Level over the years I still feel the Mirage is one of the best in town.

Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Food from the kitchen is very good and we'll presented. Alcohol in the lounge is overpriced, example 9$ for a coors banquet. Gym is functional. Swimming pool and hot tub don't open until later in the day, would be nice if it opened earlier.

The High Level Best Western is the best Hotel to stay when in town. Service is always pleasant and food is reasonable for the price. Location is easy to access and parking is plentiful. Internet service is available. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Overall quality was less than expected compared to other BW locations I've stayed at. Normal conversation from next room was like being in the same room. Appears hotel portion is older than, and added on to restraunt and Pol area.

Check in was fine. No blow dryer in room asked front desk for one, which took forever, tried using it next morning after shower but didn't work. I went out to my vehicle and got mine, on the way dropping the faulty one and only got a shrug of indifference

Hotel overall is very clean and was quiet. We had a suite so the kids could have some sleep and we could relax. The kids bedroom is nice and dark (which is helpful in the middle of June and almost 24 hour sun!) so they were able to go to bed at a reasonable hour. The pool hours have changed to late afternoon-evenings only (4pm-10pm weekdays) so if your kids plan on getting a swim in before departure, they're out of luck.

During my stay in High Level I had an inoperable AC unit and the washroom was crawling with beetles escaping the shower and sink drains and fleeing from behind the toilet. When I explained this to management I was treated like an fool and vagrant, was told I brought the bugs in myself. When I explained the "complimentary" breakfast was dried out and less than appetizing, I was told "oh well". I stay here when I could, my employees stay here every second week through out the year. They have lost all the business I have awarded them. Choose different accommodations!

Patrick, a server in the lounge might be drunk all the time. He yells at you if you don't like the food. Food is usually good, but if it's not- don't say anything. Patrick, an awkward terrible server will shame you.

This is the hotel I most prefer to stay in when travelling through High Level. Excellent family options and a great hotel all around. The rooms are always clean and the staff are professional. It's a nice place to end up after a long day off driving.

Staying at the Best Western Mirage, in High Level, is always such a treat. Courteous and professional staff, superior service, the best night's sleep, windows that open-so fresh air is an option and superior dining with exemplary wait staff.

An excellent place to stay when visiting Northern Alberta, whether business or pleasure, it's always a great experience at the Mirage. The rooms are always very nice, great décor and the meals are fantastic.

For the area, it's a very good hotel/motel. Nice atrium dining area. Friendly staff. The design of the room areas are similar to a motel. Which is understandable do to the requirements general guests have which frequent the hotel. The Mirage name is a little outdated. Overall good experience.

I am here for quite a few weeks in a kitchenette. I have found it very clean and quiet. The staff are eager to please. I am not sure how I will ever eat eggs again with out Brian's fresh salsa in the morning.

Stayed one night for business. It was not restful sleep. The hotel was very busy, and less than half full. Many of the rooms are motel style in that they have an external exit/entrance opening into a deck for both second and first floors. I heard loud doors closing ++ people talking/laughing while outside smoking. It was constant activity. Additionally, plastic cups filled with cigarette butts were outside many doors. Pretty gross, especially since it's supposed to be a smoke free hotel. I finally complained at 11:20pm, but the noise continued. I booked this room rate using hotels.com, to accumulate more stays (and consequently move closer to a free stay), and I paid approx $110 CAD. The rate on best western site was $160 CAD. I only mention this because at check in, the agent mentioned to me that she could see I booked on an external site and "encouraged" me too book with Best Western directly next time, in order to accumulate Best Western points. My point is, regardless whose loyalty points im accumulating, I paid a cheaper rate for a sub standard stay. I'm quite glad I paid a cheaper rate in the end. The experience wasn't worth $110... and certainly not worth $160.

My family loved the two-bedroom suite. My children had their own bed and a shared room. They loved that we were seconds from the pool, which was incredible - pool, splash pad, and a hot tub. The beds were okay, but it may be time for some new mattresses. Also, the living room furniture needs a refresh.

I would give you 5, but the free breakfast was horrendous. You have a beautiful restaurant that makes great lunch and dinners. Why do you prepare slop only for the morning? Clean, friendly, amazing for kids and pets. Otherwise a perfect stay after a long drive. Love the pillows, beds are ok, great pool for the kids, outside access for pets. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite and it was a GREAT room! The regular rooms are great too. I highly recommend this place.

Had a short one night stay in this hotel on the way from Yellowknife to Edmonton. Check in was fast and room was very clean. The sanitized remote in a bag was a nice touch! The room service and complimentary breakfast was good. The dining room with skylight and fresh plants was surprisingly nice after a very long cold drive. Front desk manager Mark was very helpful. This hotel is the complete package. It is located at the junction of Highways 58 and 35, with easy access from both highways. It has a large parking lot, and a very large lobby for the hotel and restaurant. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are excellent. The breakfast included with the room is more than ample. Internet is very fast and there are adequate electrical outlets for all devices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again!!

I was very impressed with the overall function of this Hotel. I was surprised to see this quality of hotel in the northern part of Alberta. Check in was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was casual and the food and drinks well done. All in all a great place to stay.

Best place to stay in High Level. A bit pricey and hotel is starting to age but still very comfortable beds and clean rooms with good amenities. Food is again expensive but very good. Will stay here again.

This is probably one of the best mid class hotels I've been to. They have super clean rooms, ppv movies, a water slide/indoor pool/hot tub park, and fairly contemporary restaurant layout. The food is excellent and one of their great value-adds is their morning buffet breakfast that provides more assortment than most other places I've been. I'm very impressed with all of it and the staff are friendly and helpful.

This was my first time staying at this hotel in High Level and they will have my business from now on when spending the night there. The room with the Jacuzzi was nice, clean and good size. The buffet style breakfast included is a bonus for the value of the room.

Great hotel, and great restaurant with good food. Service was great and it felt like we were in a island resort. The hotel rooms were suitable and spacious. The included breakfast has hot and cold items.

I am appreciating the Best Western branded properties more and more each time. This BW Plus property in High Level is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, great food, a significant complimentary breakfast buffet and impeccably clean hotel rooms. The management is doing a great job and it seems everyone is engaged in offering a competent and friendly experience for their guests. Good job BW Mirage, I'd be happy to return.

Over 3 or 4 periods i had occasion to spend 30 or 40 days at this wonderfully clean well-run motel. I'v also stayed there in other years. It passes Best Western's cleanliness standards easily ( i happened to be there during the inspection..). The rooms are quiet,well maintained and far more luxurious than one would expect of a northen 'patch town'.. Celine and her industrious staff really have customer service down to a science. Even Nem the 'little' bartender goes above and beyond in his efforts to make you feel welcomed as one of the family.. The included breakfast is much better than many hotels offer.. The business room is comfy and quiet, more like a personal den than a sterile workplace. It's a long hotel, bring comfortable shoes if you end up at the northern end. The gym isn't huge but they have one. i ran instead. enjoy

I had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional property and highly recommend it. I stay in hotels across the country and this is one of the best. The rooms are modern and most importantly very clean. Breakfast is a generous variety of choices, and everything i had was great. The staff are friendly, the front desk personnel were professional, and my meal in the lounge was to die for. I enjoyed every minute of my stay!

What a great hotel in the great North! Waterpark is fantastic, the food in the restaurant is superb. Especially like the variety of food and the quality of it. The staff are always really friendly and this is the best value in town.

Stayed in the room with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. I like the space but the bed in my room was very worn and should be replaced. Flat screen tvs are nice in each room and livingroom. Everyone got to watch their own show. Took my daughter to the water park she had lots of fun playing on the slide. The hot tub was perfect no issues. Waterslide was awesome. lady at the pool area was very welcoming and friendly.

stayed here the one night on our way to NWT"S, room was a little noisy as the people in next room were outside frequently smoking and placing butts on the air conditioner, place was not full, so my suggestion would of been to not have guests so close together in rooms, but I guess it makes for easier housekeeping next day

We checked in there twice. The staff esp the manager are friendly and had provided excellent service. Room was very clean. Hotel is very accessible and the area is very safe. And they got one of the best breakfasts we've had in a hotel. Will certainly stay there again.

This is our usual place to stay in High Level, we usually overnight here a few times a year. The hotel is very consistent, always clean, always a comfy bed, always friendly staff. I'm rating it very good because it is consistent. Restaurant is ok, breakfast is ok. Good food but if your a foodie - its just food - but to note, we haven't had a better dinner in High Level either.

Stayed here for one night, The room was nice and big with full kitchen. Had dinner and breakfast in restaurant. Dinner was nothing special - Ended up being $90 for 3 of us (2 drinks, 2 meals and then a kids meal with pop) breakfast was alright the next morning.

Stayed 3 nights stayed up here for wedding La Crete. A bit far to drive but wanted a decent bed to sleep on. Our room had a firm mattress. We opted for the king executive room which had tons of room with a couch and 2 comfy chairs, a small table to eat at and chairs. It had a small fridge that chilled well and a microwave. The large bathroom had tub and shower combo, only problem there was tub was extremely slippery. They needed some decals on the tub to prevent falling. There were lots of lamps for lighting and big windows to let the light in. They have a waterpark that seemed very popular. Couple of small issues - they did not have blackout curtains which are really needed up there especially during the summer. The other issue was the fan / air conditioner hummed rather loudly all night in order to keep the air circulating. The housekeeping missed cleaning our room the 2nd day we were there so we mentioned it to reception. Other than that the hotel was clean and in good shape.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel and we continue to be impressed by the amenities here. Our room was extremely clean and had a deep tub and spacious bathroom with high-quality toiletries. We were on the first floor, so we were able to park right outside our room - this is so convenient when traveling with kids! The Internet connection is fast and reliable. The restaurant was very good: family-friendly, polite and speedy servers, and delicious food. Our favourite park was the water park. It's clean and well-maintained and so convenient to access. It has a play area that is perfect for toddlers, a larger pool with a water slide and a hot tub. Some floating toys and life jackets are available for children. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back of we return to this part of Canada.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very polite and courteous and the food is good. The only thing I would mention is that the hallways is not solid (ie: concrete) so you hear the foot steps loudly when people walk up and down the hallway. Other than that, it is all good with loads of well lit parking.

The Mirage Best Western is my choice of Hotels when I travel to High Level. The room is always great, clean, comfortable. The food is always fantastic and the employees always friendly. You get what you pay for with this hotel, it's not cheap but worth it.

We had a long wait for someone to come to the desk and there was a mix up with our bill but it was sorted out. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The bed was great, for me the pillows were hard and to thick, but that's just me. The air conditioner in our bedroom was rather noisy and never stopped all night. There was a nice looking restaurant but we didn't eat there. We did go to the breakfast buffet. There was a lot of choice but the eggs were cold, the sausage and French toast were great.

I try to stay at this location whenever I am in town. I like the full kitchens with the separate bed room. I travel about 80% of the year. I like to feel at home. It is time to change the mattress in the room I was in this time. I did not get my normal good nights sleep.

From the pleasant operators of the complimentary airport shuttle service to the excellent rooms, extremely comfortable beds, first rate service in every aspect and food and beverage choices-this hotel is a great and pleasant surprise and real gem. The Atrium which wraps around a good portion of the property provides the soothing sound of water and an open and airy atmosphere. Lovely place to enjoy the restaurant and lounge experience or sit and work. Jacqueline and Damien, in particular, provide exemplary customer service, but all staff, including front desk, aim to please in the most professional and helpful manner. For me, there is only one place to stay when in High Level, and it is the Best Western. With a water park and fitness gym, it offers comfort, quality and health/recreation options that create a superior home away from home experience, that is truly exceptional.In the inimitable words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back". I stayed here during a recent business trip and found the staff to be friendly and helpful...just as you might expect in a small town. The rooms were clean and had access to an interior corridor as well as to the outside parking lot...motel-style. Ask for an east-facing room especially in the summer when the sun doesn't set until after 10PM. Easily recommend.

The price is about 40 dollars more than anyone else and the breakfast was poor, no selection and poor quality. Has always been a little more money but had great breakfast. How you pay for coffee to take with you, Called manager to complain but no call back!

I didn't remember staying there, I remember why after the fact-it was an okay stay. Check-in was easy and the room was clean. I didn't love the bed and didn't get a great sleep...this is probably just preference, but disappointing nonetheless. There was a fair amount of noise transfer from the hallway. It didn't seem like people were noisy, yelling, etc-just simple walking, talking and luggage rolling. The room could use more towels, but the bathroom amenities (ex: shampoos, soap and vanity kit) were a nice addition. I tried several times to go outside to the balcony door but for whatever reason, the door would not open. Express checkout simple.

The big benefit of this hotel is they have a shuttle to and from the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. It was very nice to have a restaurant on site. I would stay here again when traveling up north.

I've been to a lot of Best Western Plus hotels, and quite honestly none stand up to the one you'll find in High Level in terms of overall experience, and service. It's top notch, and was surprised to find this sort of quality in the middle of nowhere Alberta. Would recommend, and will definitely be staying again.

I have stayed at this hotel previously, and it has been great. Rooms are clean, the restaurant and lounge are fantastic. The night clerk Brandice made our stay much more comfortable, after a long drive. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything that we needed. We look forward to staying here again.

In all honesty there wasn't a great deal wrong with the hotel, but I don't think I would be being honest with myself if I gave it any more than a 3*. This being said I'm sure this is hands down the best hotel in High Level as some of the others looked shabby at best. I went to High Level in November and if you know anything about the area at that time of the year there is snow EVERYWHERE. This being said when I parked up, the expansive car park was pretty clear which made parking easier. When I got inside it was pretty bog standard - what I come to expect from Best Westerns - clean, reasonably modern etc. Upon arrival at the front desk I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff who clearly knew what they were talking about and were efficient at getting me set up in my room after a long day of travel. There is only two floors to this hotel so really theres no need to take the lift, so I grabbed the stairs - in the future take the lift. For some bizarre reason there is the worst draft on the stairs and you go from nice and warm to insanely cold when you go up them - it sounds petty but I would have rather taken the lift and stayed warm.... The room was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but the bed was comfy, and the shower/bathroom were pretty decent so I cant complain there. The breakfast in the morning was complimentary which was nice but if you do go for it, just take fruit and toast. The hot buffet was pretty nasty and cold. All in all I don't think there was an awful lot wrong with the hotel but for the price I paid, ($160+ per night) I wasn't blown away. I appreciate I wasn't in a place with a huge amount of competition so they can charge more, and also that, looking at other hotels around, this was clearly the best hotel in the area, but I just can't justify giving it more than 3* based on the quality vs what I paid

Stayed at this property previously and it is good but overpriced given the other properties in town. Unless you like paying for the waterpark it is too highly priced. Also they confuse many guests by having their Waterpark posted on the sister properties websites and then you mistaken book the wrong hotel and get doubled billed.

Excellent rooms, service, amenities and the best restaurant in town. Highly recommended if you make a trip up to "the strip" of the north. The internet in the rooms is also one of the best I've ever experienced

I stayed here January 24-30 for business along with 4 of my staff members. Not one complaint from any of us! The included hot full breakfast is an added bonus for sure. I upgraded to a king jacuzzi suite and the additional space especially the living room area with foot stool was super. I appreciate they are staying with technology as I could change channels and watch movie previews with my iphone. This is by far the nicest hotel in High Level and not to mention the food is outstanding and fresh.

Clean with all required amenities. The best option in town. The breakfast had lots of choices including hot menu items. Internet access was extremely reliable. The cleaners used a strong scented spray that was over-powering in the rooms. Doors to the outside and inside allow easy access to hotel amenities and vehicle.

I stayed at the Best Western in High Level and the staff and hotel were awesome. The staff were very helpful and nice to deal with. The room was clean and quiet. I checked in early and my room wasn't ready yet, so they upgraded me with no extra charge so that I could check in early!

This is an excellent property located in Northern Alberta and the "best" Best Western I have ever stayed at. It is a must if you are travelling through High Level. The pool and waterslide area is a great place to take the kids, they will love it.

Wasn't sure about what to expect for quality in small town Northern Alberta. It was great overall experience from quality of rooms to staff service to food at restaurant. The staff especially made me feel welcome at the hotel.

We stopped at the High Level Best Western Plus on Dec. 19th 2015. Room was $200. Ate in restaurant - excellent food, excellent service. Went to room. Bet was lumpy and low in middle, very hard to sleep in. Not at all comfortable. Room was on first floor, half way down hall, near stairs to outside. Every footstep in hall, in hall above, in rooms beside and in rooms above, as well as most other sounds, were transmitted clearly to our room. For $200 I expect a comfortable bed and a quiet room. I can recommend the restaurant, and the service in general, but don't stay there and expect good value for your room dollars.

Excellent Hotel, Great Staff, Awesome Food. We stayed here on our way to Yellowknife and we arrived late (3AM) but staff were ready for us, and our pooch when we got there. We all were very well rested for the next leg of our journey. Before we left we were able to enjoy a awesome breakfast and Starbucks coffees! Thanks!

Our family of four states in one of their lovely suites. Room was clean and more than adequate for our family. The restaurant is wonderful. We had a delicious dinner with wonderful service. The FREE breakfast buffet is excellent. The service is wonderful and the staff wonderful. A great stay for families travelling from Yellowknife. Worth the price.

Front desk clerks are included in "first impressions" of a hotel. Two hockey teams arrive 7:00pm with one clerk front desk. He didn't seem to care line out the door. Process speed quite like a sloth. Could have processed easily 3 guests at a time. One at a time was fine. After one team processed, a 2nd clerk arrived, from her break. Mmm....maybe come back, check guest in, and then a coffee break?

This is the best hotel in town. Rooms are very clean, spacious, and staff are very friendly. Breakfast is fee but can get very boring for those that stay for more than a few days as the menu is set and does not change. In fact, a number of hotels in town use exactly the same format of scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, and muffins. In the north one does not expect the same level of service for the same price but this hotel comes very close. Highly recommended.

I stay here every few months and it's consistently delivers on quality, comfort and great service. Everything you'd expect from a + $100/night hotel room and service you'll find here. Plus enjoy the FULL breakfast (6am - 10am) and water slide pool park. Giant hot tub for the adults is located within a watchful eye to the park. Helpful hint: Rooms on the front side vice the back: Train tracks run along the back so its quieter out front.

Taka, the front desk attendant was excellent. Very polite, understanding and accommodating. He made our check in very pleasant and easy. Pool was clean and very entertaining. Stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute of it.

Nice room with all the amenities. Attached resturant and bar with good food. Price range wa medium to high, but the taste was worth it. Not too busy as the oilfield has slowed down. Easy access with lots of parking.

Great place to stay! The indoor water park was just the thing to tire out a 4 year old after her being stuck in a car all day. The beds were very comfortable. The included breakfast buffet had good selection, and though they did not usually serve it at that time of day, we were able to order a special meal to accommodate my wife's diet.

This is such a beautiful property, only complimented by its delightful and caring staff. I was literally treated like a King throughout my 2 day stay. Props to the management for inspiring an etiquette of such friendliness and professionalism. The rooms are spotless, and the food is remarkable. You can really tell that the personnel care that the guests enjoy their time at the Hotel. Thank you to all the staff at the Best Western who made my trip (which I wasn't looking forward to) an absolute pleasure.

Fantastic service, great accommodations, fabulous food and atmosphere. Wouldn't go anywhere else! I stay here 8-10 times per year and always look forward to arriving, it's an oasis in a sea of dust. Staff here are amazing, food is the best in town and the beds are a dream IMHO.

This is an amazing place to stay, a true gem in the North. The staff throughout the entire property are friendly and helpful. The food in the Lounge is incredible, and the breakfast buffet in the morning has everything you could expect and more for an inclusive offering. The rooms in the hotel are as clean and nice as you will find anywhere. I will go out of my way to stay here whenever I am in the area.

We checked into the room on August 16 to find actual puke on the bed which explained the funky smell. We called the front desk guy who simply said "I'll check to see if there is another room available [click]" who just hung up. No apologies. The restaurant staff are very friendly, but the food quality was poor. Our steaks had a funky shrimp taste as if it was fried in a pan just used for frying shrimp. This would explain all the empty tables. The rooms have 1 cup coffee makers but coffee pouches for 4-cup coffee makers.

very unhappy. Highly unliklely we will be staying at a Best Western in the near future. We were told someone would would fix the heat as the room was freezing and that did not happen. Desk attendent was rude. we have stayed at Best Westerns quite a number of time but this was the worst and overall Best Westerns seem to becoming more expensive and yet less accomadating. We have been much happier with Choice Hotels overall.

I have stayed at various times in High Level enroute to Yellowknife from southern Alberta. The hotel was clean, the room was clean and the breakfast was good. What I found on this trip (late July 2015), was that the customer service was very good - good enough that I'm writing this review.
