It was clean, updated and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for our traveling destination. We would definitely consider staying there again. The bed was a little high for a short person but it was very comfortable. Breakfast area was clean

Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations. The staff was friendly, the premises were very clean, and the location was perfect for our activities. The only downside was that the beds are very high off the floor which made it difficult for me to climb onto since I am slightly under 5 feet tall.

The elevator being out of order and the construction right next to our room was a bit of an inconvenience and very noisy, but overall everything was nice so. I still would rate the stay a 5. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.

It was very close to the venue in a quiet area. Very clean hotel with great service. I would recommend it to anyone staying in Duluth. Breakfast was good too! Overall great experience and if I was in town would stay here again.

All I can say is OMG when I walked into the lobby it smelled AMAZING. I wanted to ask what they used so I could use it in my house. The surrounding very clean and once I opened the door to my room I was very pleased. The staff was very professional, nice, and polite. I make sure when I visit the Gwinnett area again this will be my go to place to stay. I loved it there. Thank you staff for everything!!!!

Such a great experience, it was a little far from our destination but it's worth the drive, plenty of parking, the rooms were sparkling clean, we enjoyed a very quiet environment and the breakfast was great too

Loving Life is a journey to be fulfilled with all responsibilities and extravagance. We all including myself would be very ashamed if this would have happened to someone another but different family member. A hotel stay should always be recognized as a peaceful but recognizable comfort. Myself and several family members traveled from New Orleans and Virginia to the area for a graduation. The staff was amazing and the hotel was clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

I liked the room, although it was really small for the price. I liked the breakfast. The hotel itself is clean. Customer service was nice. Check in was easy and fast. The elevator needs fixing though. Aside that i had d a good short stay.

The overall amenities were typical of a Best Western, but I will never stay at this or any other Best Western ever again if their staff is going to treat my safety and privacy with such disregard. The front desk gave out keys to my room to another guest with verbal instructions not to enter that room until after 1 pm. Needless to say, the guest ignored those verbal instructions and a "Do Not Disturb" sign and entered my room around 8:30 am while I was still there.

All clean and everything worked. Like the BW breakfast. Some kind of eggs and a breakfast meat. Cereal, pancakes and yogart. Good hot coffee with lots of space to spread out. All the juices, milk and ice water.

Dear Guest, We have a solid policy in place with regards to cash payment for our rooms. We simply do not except cash as a payment for your room rental. We certainly apologize if you were not informed beforehand. We also hope this does not deter you from visiting us in the future.

I confirmed with staff in regards to the pet fee before making my reservation. The staff member needed to check with a manager to confirm what I read, it is $30 for my entire 3 day stay. The manager confirmed this. Upon arrival, I read the $30 covers a FIVE day stay in there terms and conditions. Upon receiving my bill today as it was not emailed as agreed upon when leaving, I was charged $30 a day. I had to call today, 2 days after check out, to get my receipt sent. In speaking to the desk attendant today, she said the "pet agreement" I signed stated $30/day. I NEVER signed any such agreement. I made extra effort to confirm the pet fee BEFORE reserving, and the information I received was in the forefront in choosing this hotel. The desk attendant was very dismissive when discussing this, just trying to shoo me off the phone. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she only took my phone, saying I'd get a call "If need be"!!! Although the hotel was clean and inside seemingly safe, there was CONSTANTLY, people lingering in the parking lot around the hotel, hanging out by the woods, by the pet walking area, making it feel much less safe. There are signs at EVERY door warning you to "lock your car" and "do NOT leave any valuables", it is NOT a safe area. With this disreputable policy to mislead the clients, and the condition of the area, I certainly would NOT stay here again!

Dear Valued Guest. We definitely apologize if you received the wrong information regarding our pet fee policy upon checking in. Our policy on pet fee is $30 per day and most or all of our reservation sites clearly states that. With regards to speaking with a manager we never got any of this information as we would have taken care of this issue. Also wanted you to know that we feel our hotel is safe and the surrounding area as well. We have not experienced any issues that relates to any of our guest feeling not safe. We hope you come back and stay with us in the future.

My fiancé and I wanted to get away a few days to the Aquarium and Medieval Times. It was close to the mall food and shopping!! However the pool was cloudy and not that clean. For breakfast we expected waffles and had a broken machine. The eggs and ham.....not very favorable. And our bathroom had a handicap accessible shower which leaked water over part of the bathroom floor. The bed very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful

I REALLY enjoyed our stay here. The staff was amazing, the hotel was spotless, the bed was more comfy then my own at home! It was like sleeping on a feather!! We were unaware of the continental breakfast until we checked in and was told they had one …was expecting rolls and bagels, but it was a nice selection of hot and cold breakfast foods! Definitely would recommend and would stay here again!!

I booked a room for 2 queen beds and got a Single king bed, I was never notified of any changes to my reservation. And I was basically told take it or leave it. I did use hotel points to book this room , I was charged 32000 points for a double queen and the room they gave me was for 28000 , I haven't seen the difference refunded.

When we're in Duluth we always stay at the Best Western plus in Sugarloaf. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable! Sam the captain of this ship always makes sure things are well managed and we really appreciate that!! A special thanks to Rico, he's always very, very professional, knowledgeable and he always makes us feel like family... Thanks a lot you guys we really enjoy our stays here.

I stayed there on a weekend to attend a concert. Everything was so clean and smelled so nice! The staff was so pleasant and helpful! I am handicapped and they did their very best to accommodate me.!The breakfast was hot and delicious! The pool area was clean and so nice and they even had ice cream in the snack area to take back to your room. It is close to Gas South Arena and Sugarloaf parkway. It was a very clean and fresh smelling motel! The beds were very comfortable but a little high!Even so they sent me a step stool since I'm so short ! Good place to stay!

The room was super clean, breakfast was delicious and I want to give a shout out to Sam…he made our stay very comfortable…I almost felt like a guest in his home. Overall this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and the staff made it top notch. Will absolutely stay here next time we go to the Atlanta area- even though it is a 30 minute drive to the city it was absolutely worth it.

My stay was amazing! I was impressed with how clean everything smelled. Right from the time we walked in! I also love that there was always coffee to drink and I love the breakfast! Awesome friendly staff that were very helpful with directions when we were lost! I definitely recommend a stay!

Clean, safe, comfortable, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet of eggs, ham, pancakes, cereal, juice, etc. included. No problems during my overnight stay. But be aware that this pet-friendly motel only accepts up to 2 pets per room and on the first floor only. Also there is a $30 surcharge for pets.

My wife and I were pleasantly welcomed and spent the night in a very nice, clean room with an amazing shower with lots of water pressure. Seriously, a solid 4 star experience by staff! …………..,.,,;;;;;;

Sam at the front desk was nice and helpful. We got our rooms that was booked by Priceline taken because of overbooked. Sam helped us our. Never use Priceline. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great food and snacks available.

Everybody's very kind and friendly, specially the receptionist Tangie and all the housekeepers. The hotel smells good and it's always clean. The Gym is equipated to keep in shape while you're away. Pet friendly and the breackfast is good. The location is excellent. I would definitely stay again.

Terrible desk help. BW website was not working correctly Front desk SAW the issue but unable to honor BW web price. Boss said he'd credit bill, but bill was never credited in my statement. Terrible customer service

The bathroom had mold on the ceiling over the bathtub, the bathing sink faucet was broken and the bathtub was stopped up. Had to take a navy shower show we wouldn't have to stand in sitting water. v/r

We stayed overnight. It was fast checkin and checkout. Modified breakfast due to covid but stull satisfactory. Someone prepared the breakfast sandwich, cereal, and waffle and juice. U can get the yogurt and fruits yourself. Pool was open but gym was closed.

The breakfast selection could have been better. Water was not very hot. We stayed for 4 days. So that was a bummer. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Rooms were clean. Fridge did not work well. Microwave made a slight noise.

Great little hotel in good location with pool. All staff was very friendly. Rico working front desk was especially helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again. Close to restaurants, gas, Walmart, ect. Easy drive into Atlanta

Beautiful appearance from outside. The lobby was nicely decorated and you could smell the fresh cleanliness. Our room was located on 1st floor. All staff spoke and were very helpful. Thankful there was a hot breakfast: breakfast sandwich and or waffles. Off main street, so a quiet location. Beds were comfortable. Only issue was the water did not get very hot

Great location walking distance to Waffle House, McDonalds and Pappadeaux. The atmosphere is set as soon as you walk through the door it smells amazing. The free breakfast is decent and they have free coffee/ tea all day in the lobby. Each room has a mini fridge, microwave and mini Keurig and there were at least 4 USB ports for charging

very clean room quiet comfortable great coffee friendly staff easy to find I came in town for a funeral, staff was very friendly and inviting. The room I chose was very clean and comfortable as well. I had no complaints. Thankful for the service during such a difficult time.

My card was billed twice for over $400 causing countless problems with my bank. I was also charged $200 for damages that have not been itemized and the manager refuses to refund the charge or give me a written (itemized) explanation as to why we were charged. I will not stay at this Best Western again

We truly had a great experience at BW Duluth. Very modern appearance. NO Carpet! Pet friendly. Lots of green space! Pets only in ground floor rooms much appreciated!!! Very friendly staff. We felt safe! Papadeaux's ~2 blocks away! More of an office area than neighborhoos setting. Easy access to area attractions. VERY clean well kept facility!!! Highly recommend!!!

We stayed five nights for an event and prepaid because the regular rate was much higher. They did not tell us there was no maid service when we checked in. We found out the next day upon returning to our uncleaned room. We told the front desk we wanted maid service everyday when he said we had to specifically ask for it. We did. But we only got maid service one day, and she only made one bed, did not replace the shampoo, toilet paper, cups or all bath towels. Even though we asked again for service, we did not get it and ended up having to take our dirty towels to a bin to get them replaced, carry our garbage cans to a bin and ask for amenities. When we checked in, we noticed the in room coffee pot did not work. We asked that it be replaced. It never was. When we went to the lobby to get coffee, sorry, the pot was empty. When we asked about breakfast, we were handed a granola bar. Really? Then the worst part was people above us checked in and partied all night until later than 2:30 am. They banged on the floor continuously. We complained and nothing was done. The last night, after we specifically complained once again and talked to the front desk, they said they would not allow it again. Well guess what, the noise and pounding went on until 3:30 am. We went to the desk at 1 am and 3 am and no one did anything. Jennifer, the desk clerk was sitting on the couch with her boyfriend. She did nothing. We got no sleep for two nights straight. We would have left two days ago if we had known, but then, we had prepaid and they would not refund our money. On top of it, they charged $30 extra per night for our little dog who did nothing but sleep in the room. It was a horrible expensive experience. No one should pay more than $125 per night for no service and no sleep. We cannot recommend this place and will be contacting Best Western with our complaints.

We stayed there with our small dog. The floors are laminate so they were very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities were fine. The gentleman, I think was the manager, was great! Very helpful and informative. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed this hotel last weekend. A room was OK and Breakfast was good. But service is very terrible. I have a billing issue on this hotel. They charged my room bill on twice, one is my credit card that I used this on checked-in and another is my BW travel card that I used this on checking out. Although they used my BW travel card, I should contact to BW Reward center they told me. Please check this twice, if you use BW travel cards.

This was my 2nd anniversary. My husband and I had a wonderful time during our stay. I always pick this hotel. The rooms are nice. The remodel is wonderful. The employees are attentive and nice. You get more than your money's worth at this hotel.

Location was perfect for me. The security of the hotel was great. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and nicely put. Served a good variety Breakfast during the Covid. check out was fast and pleasant.

We traveled to attend the memorial service of a friend who recently went to be with the Lord. This hotel was near our destination and reasonably priced. Our room was very nice and had recently ben renovated. The refrigerator wasn't working upon arrival and was exchanged within 30 minutes of reporting it to the front desk. The breakfast was limited due to COVID restrictions, but okay. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

Worst hotel EVER. DONT waste your time or money. They DOUBLE charged me. Everything was paid for AT THE HOTEL UPFRONT. My view was third floor and of a construction-site. Two days later (after leaving/checking out) I get a double charge for the same amount and no one can tell me anything. I am still getting the run around and DISRESPECTED not to mention the supervisor HUNG UP ON ME while I was talking. Okello. Jamelia was BEYOND disrespectful. As an African American and her being the only African American that works there I am even more disappointed with her nasty and unprofessional attitude. She's just as bad as okello and with his nasty attitude (of course also black) I see exactly why she thinks she can talk to people like that. She started laughing and sighing while I was talking and asking questions then verbalized she was irritated after she was raising her voice at me. She talked over me, cut me off and stated she already knows everything but then when I asked basic questions she didn't know literally anything. I asked if the calls were recorded (so the manager could see her nasty statements and unprofessionalism) she didn't know. I asked when Sam would be there, she didn't know. I asked when the managers would be there I'm weekends, she didn't know. I asked how long she worked there, she didn't want to “talk about herself right now.” I asked who told her Sam was no longer calling back after her supervisor, okello, clearly explained Sam would be taking my case, she didn't know. It PAINS me as both an African American AND a supervisor of my company that she acted like that. This is why we get treated the way we do and have stereotypes about black women. She acted in every stereotype about us and it's disgusting. If she was an employee for my company and I heard her treat a customer with such disrespect, she would've been terminated IMMEDIATELY. I wouldn't have even let her finish her shift no matter HOW bad we needed the help. We don't need disrespectful people like that and you will NOT be talking to any of my customers (new, old, potential, WHATEVER) like that. With Okellos behavior and “leadership” I see why that girl thought that behavior was okay. Not to mention I had just written him an email about how great Sam was and how I had to give him props and even said he had to be a great supervisor for Sam to be so awesome. I paid for each night UPFRONT to avoid any bills AFTERWARDS. I get a charge yesterday with NO explanation and I never even was given or sent my bill or total or anything. They're crooked thieves and they need to fire half their staff. I'm DISGUSTED by this hotel and I will be going up there and filing a full report and alerting the police of their THEFT. I am DISGUSTED I bought one day originally and extended for two more days because I enjoyed the gym (when it was open when Sam worked) and everyone was ok for the most part. AS SOON AS YOU CHECK OUT YOURE NOTHING. I CANT GET AN ANSWER ON MY DOUBLE CHARGES? You have the supervisor hanging up on me? No one knows when the manager gets in? The phone didn't work and the host stated they won't fix it since I'm leaving tomorrow anyway. I talked to a different host and she fixed it immediately. That should've been done originally. That's such a serious hazard. Not to mention I had bought another day so I wasn't even leaving the next day. I can't even get an answer on who's above these disoriented “staffers.” I'm filing with the owner and the police against this disgusting hotel. Not to mention I have proof of their double charges. I recorded part of the disgusting conversation with jamelia. I don't care how high I have to take this but this type of behavior is never okay. I just left the hospital, I just wanted some time to heal and relax, AS THE STAFF KNEW ABOUT, and I can't even get that. This hotel needs to shut down. They're working on opening and also owning Staybridge and I don't know if they let all their terrible employees work there & new, better ones @ Staybridge but they need new EVERYTHING!

This is an old wood construction hotel, which means that any activity in the room above is amplified into the rooms below. Very noisy group upstairs. I didn't sleep at all. I finally called the front desk at about 2:30 AM. They said they would handle the problem. They did not.

We booked this hotel because of the "Best Western Plus" name. We had just come from staying in one in Texas that was superb. This one was so disappointing. The front desk staff was very nice.. but everything else was horrible. Room was not 100% clean... but not bad enough to switch rooms. I did however find a hair that wasn't ours in the shower. EWWW. The tiles on the floor outside bathroom door were loose. Shower wasn't hot... and the bathroom door wouldn't open the whole way without scrapping on the floor. The TV was horrible. Picture was pixelating and the clock on the tv was 45 minutes off. Remote wouldn't work either. You could go up and down channels, but couldn't put channel numbers in to go there directly. VERY annoying. We were not happy with our room... they gave us an adjoining room.. and we could hear the people next door very clearly all night. Not a quiet room. Will NOT stay here again. Front desk staff had masks on when we checked in , but not when we checked out. NO breakfast was offered to us.

Best Western was clean. Staff took good care of to make sure it met safety guidelines set forth from the CDC. The room was clean though the walls were thin (could hear the TV on the other side). The decor and colors were spot on. Whoever did the decorating for the hotel, did a good job. The microwave and fridge were in working order. The shower needs a bit more water pressure, but the temperature was great!

I normally use IHG for my business needs but needed to bring my pets due to a short notice. I liked the facility and made sure due to the current COVID-19 scare to only allow someone in my room when required for cleaning. Instead I kept it clean myself. Everything was fine until I checked several days later. They had originally charges me $100 pet fee for a week which I understood. They added another $250 charge without telling me. I guess they thought it was a company card and no one would notice or dispute. I called asking and was told there was no one available to talk to about it and the room was trashed with urine everywhere. My dog had one accident while there I cleaned up immediately. This was a way to pack the charges on due to declining booking amid COVID-19 and extensive construction nearby. I would never stay here again the sneaky way they did this and a manager would not talk to me about it prior to charging.

dirty carpet. windows do not open. small room. great front desk crew. handled alot of complaints when i was in lobby at differnt times during my stay. kept it cool and professional. breakfast was ok.decor seems to be updated. quiet and conveinient .

Liked this hotel but didn't love it. Nice restaurant attached to hotel. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. This place is really big. When you have an issue walking that's not a good thing. Restaurant (with breakfast buffet) are on one side of the hotel while all the rooms are the opposite end. A bit difficult to navigate with knee issues. Still good rate & room.

The hotel seemed to be newly renovated. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. All my family decided to visit again. Now this hotel become one of our favorite hotels. I really appreciate the staff.

I had a two day training day in Duluth and found the Best Western Plus was very close to my destination. Jamilia was very nice along with all the other employees. Great customer service. The breakfast was nice and the room was very comfortable for my two night stay. The only complaint I would say is if you are going to patch an area of the ceiling make sure it is done properly. The people above me had a small child that was a bit hard on the floors but I didn't ask for another room.

I have to review this hotel in 2 parts.... 5 stars for the cleanliness, feel, and hotel decor. This hotel is very clean I was very comfortable when I arrived. The rooms were spotless and the floor were tiled for the pet friendly rooms. The housecleaning team is a 5 star team. 3 Stars for the rest of the hotel. I was traveling with 2 dogs, 2 kids and my mother. I wanted to talk to the hotel to make sure that there was still space on the first floor and that we could get a pet friendly room. I called the hotel over a 24 hour period at least 25 times. Never an answer. I called the reservation desk and they called the hotel and no answer. I called the customer care office they tried getting a hold of the hotel, no answer. Customer Care did not have a back up number. I thought maybe their phones were out. Upon arrival I asked at the front desk and the lady told me she was having no problems with the phones. I noticed part of the problem that one person is doing all the work. First thing in the morning the front desk person puts a sign up saying if you need me I am prepping food in kitchen. My next issue was upon arrival I told them also about my dogs and they did not tell me they had a really nice dog area in back of hotel. I figured it out the next morning while walking my dog around. They really should highlight that fact since it was a very nice area to take your pets after a long time in the car. I would like to note that the lady at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was not tasty at all and I was extremely disappointed. The coffee was undrinkable and I dumped it out. I would stay here again because of the 5 star cleaning team. It would be wonderful though not to worry on an 11 hour drive through pouring rain if there would be a room available for you because of your pets.

I stayed here for 8 nights for business trip. This was my first stay at the Best Western Duluth but it won't be the last. The convenience of location and the helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. I always stay at Best Western everywhere I go, but everything was above and beyond about this BW. They were finishing a remodel I presume, but you couldn't tell it from the inside. The ambiance of the hotel was excellent. The staff was wonderful, and the fragrance of the hotel was phenomenal. I will definitely try to stay at this hotel again when I'm in the Atlanta area. I live in Tennessee, and I was very impressed with my first ever visit to Georgia, and this hotel was 90% of it. The beds were a little high for me because I am short, but they were so comfy and cozy. The décor was fabulous and classy. I didn't get up in time for breakfast because the beds were so comfy, but the rooms have individual keurig machines which was fab for me. The location is away from traffic and somewhat secluded, but I enjoyed that. Please make this hotel your priority if in the Daluth, Atlanta area.

Our stay here at the Best Western Duluth was fantastic. The rooms were attractive and clean and the bed was wonderful. The breakfast was tasty and plenty of choices whatever your preference. Parking lot was well light and close to entrance. In checking in and out the staff very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. I want to recognize Regina at the front desk when we checked out because she was amazing!! We plan on staying here next time in the area. I just have one complaint and it's only for the GM because in the grand scheme overall for all the guest it may not relate to them. Sunday morning when we took out shower\\bath the body wash along with everything else showed a citrus fragrance. Well, it wasn't. It was vanilla. We are not a big fan of this smell and especially to soap our whole body in it. We told this to Regina and she apologized and said they must have ran out of citrus and gave us a hand full of citrus body lotion. Like I said overall IT WAS GREAT!!!

We were forced to find a room for the night. Didn't get in until 10pm. The receptionist helped us find the place since construction kept us from finding it. The receptionist was very kind and friendly and went out of her way to help in every aspect of our visit. The beds were amazingly comfortable...slept like a baby. The downside is the lighting in the hallways were dreary. The breakfast was super great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cooked oatmeal, bagels, toast, cream cheese, yogurt, waffles etc. Microwave for your own things. Tea and coffee in your room. Wonderful place and would stay here again, if the opportunity arises.

Our stay here was very nice except for the construction going on and the pool being closed. The front desk people were very helpful and friendly. Even with all of the construction going on outside of our window, it was very quiet in the room. Hopefully it will be really nice when the construction is finished, less dusty, and with an open pool the next time we visit Duluth.

Very welcoming check in. Nice room. Beds are firm but that's more of a personal preference. We like it cold and the a/c was right on time!! The bathrooms are spacious! The breakfast was good too! Had a great stay! Would recommend!

nice rooms, pet friendly, great bkf. only one clerk on the desk at 930 on a friday night. Waited 50- minutes to get a room- i was preregistered.On the plus side, the room was very clean and the staff were very professional and pleasant.
