« Comfy stay with exceptional pleasant staff! »

We checked in early. We were given drink coupons for the daily happy hour we attended. Breakfast was very good with a variety of foods. Room was very clean, bed comfy and overall hotel clean. Indoor pool and shuttle available to reds/browns games. Best experience at a hotel in quite awhile.

« The staff was exceptional with our group of 40! »

I was the group leader for a bus tour of 40. We were delayed leaving the Ark Encounter and had a very tight time frame to get unloaded at the hotel and get to the B.B. Riverboat cruise. I called Beth and she said they would be ready for us. When we arrived at the hotel, Beth and her staff were waiting on us with luggage carts and room keys in hand. The rooms were great and the staff was exceptional! I could not be more satisfied.

    « Nice hotel »

Clean hotel, Friendly and Helpful Staff. Conveniently located. Within walking distance to local restaurants (10-15 minutes). Short drive across the river into Cincinnati for more restaurants and parks.

    « Great place »

Stayed here for a concert..great place and centrally placed. Comfortable beds and roomy. Some construction going on otherwise super nice. Breakfast was good. Hotel was busy lots of patrons but staff was super nice.

    « Awesome staff »

Very welcoming, staff makes you feel very comfortable and at home. Breakfast was fresh and hot! Everyone was very nice and respectful. Location is not the best but once inside total different atmosphere!

    « Clean and friendly »

Very clean room, comfortable but not overly spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Indoor pool clean but chilly. Great hot breakfast with a lot of variety. Very easy access on and off the interstate.

    « Very clean »

Our stay @ Best Western Plus was by far and good stay. They had a very clean hotel with very polite staff. They had a nice pool and work out center. They also had a very good free and full breakfast. My complaints would be we noticed really quickly that it is also a long term residency. Many people walking around in their wjat seemed to be pajamas. When we first pulled up we noticed many people who were just right outside front entrance smoking. They need a designated smoking area ways away from front entrance. During breakfast on our last morning we witness a resident in happy with a guest who must have sat in his usual spot. He was obviously being very rude to a guest. We weren't to pleased with our window view of the liqour store and not river front they advertise so we called and asked if we could switch rooms. We were told there were no rooms avaible. Assuming due to the many residence they house. Kinda felt like a very clean shelter to be honest.

    « Great visit! »

Grand daughter in children's hospital and stayed here night before admissions. Nice, clean room .housekeepers nice. Everyone friendly. One lady at front desk talked to her friends while I was waiting, needed to add a night.next day hospital said Best Western called because my things were in the room and I was supposed to check out,so the lady at desk did not do her job and add me.frustrated but she just needs to go.all other front desk people were excellent.

    « Decent »

The hotel itself was fine! It was clean and the staff was nice. Only reason i probably wouldn't stay again is due to the amount of strange people in the area. It appeared to have a large number of homeless looking people in the parking lot and lobby. Not sure what that was all about but I certainly didn't love it.

    « Fabulous Best Western »

This was a beautiful hotel. Decor was bright, cheerful and colorful. The people were friendly. And then there was BREAKFAST. We have been staying in Best Western's every night on this road trip because they are reasonably priced, clean and have breakfast, but this hotel is a culinary delight. Not your average eggs and sausage. This place has an employee with a culinary background. There was fresh warm eggs and cheese, bourbon sliced ham (yum), potatoes, fresh Greek yogurt (not in a package), fruit, etc. Also gourmet coffee flavorings. Need I go on. I would recommend this Best Western. The only downside was that we could only stay one night.

    5
    « Excellent stay »

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Hotel room was very clean. Breakfast was great. Hot sausage and eggs, and many other items to choose from . Our son also used the pool which was very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    5
« Perfect and very nice!!! »

    « very nice rooms... »

happened to find this hotel when we were taking a wrong turn but it was a great choice. Located in a mixed use area, we could walk to a great restaurant area in about 10 minutes. Rooms were well appointed, nicely decorated, clean. Breakfast was standard and plentiful.

    5
    « Burchfield »

The staff is sooo sweet and nice. (Alisha, Kathy at the front desk, and Lonnie.) The place was very clean. House keeping every morning. Hot breakfast every morning. My grand daughter loved the pool. My daughter had stayed there 3 weeks and the staff has helped her any way they can. I would recommend this place to everyone.

    « *best breakfast bar!! »

Quick easy check in & friendly employees also room had a huge bathroom the best breakfast of any motel I have stayed in--I complimented the lady that was attending--anything you can think of, they had it!! will definitely stay here again if we are in the area

    5
    « Great place »

Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for my son's Laser spine back surgery. Only about 7 minutes away from the surgery center and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

    5
    « Nice Hotel »

Nice hotel. Easy access to expressway. Located next to liquor store and another strange store. But, staff was friendly and hotel was nice. Easy access to Cincinnati downtown area. The only issue I had with the stay was the loud people across the hall. They kept yelling and slamming doors well into the night. It was New Years Eve, so we didn't complain. We will request a room at end of hallway next time.

« A little Gem in northern Kentucky »

My wife and I flew from LAX to Cincinnati for the first time. Our return flight was at 9 am so we decided to stay at the hotel so we didn't have to drive from Dayton that morning. We were very pleased by the appearance and the amenities this hotel offered. The staff we encountered were very friendly. The "cocktail hour" food, we don't drink, was practically a meal for us and the breakfast had everything we needed to start the long day back home. If we decide to fly into Cincinnati again, we definitely will stay here again.

    5
    « Great Value »

This Best Western in Covington, KY is arguably the best hotel value in the Cincinnati area. The hotel is easily accessible and very well maintained. The free breakfast is as good if not better than any of the hotels where I have stayed. Now that the world knows I will probably have difficulty booking this hotel. ;-)

    « Great stay! »

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast was great. The staff were all friendly and engaged with the guests. Stayed for a three night two day business trip. Close proximity to my meetings. A very pleasant experience.

    « Really great experience »

this was one of the best Best Westerns that I have stayed at. The location is great. The city of Coventry is nice and beautiful architecture. Good places to eat are close by the hotel. Relatively close to the Creation Museum and the Ark... Great things to see and experience.

    4
    « Pleasently suprised »

The hotel is very clean and appears to have been recently updated. Staff is pleasant and helpful with our requests. Nice clean and comfortable room. Would recommend staying here when visiting Cincinnati or Covington.

    5
« Great location, lovely clean hotel »

The hotel was well-located immediately off the I75 and on the fringe of Cincinnati. Very close to the historic part of Covington with all of the nice shops and restaurants. The hotel is very well maintained, super clean and the rooms were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Best Western »

Stayed here when we went to The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Nicely located with good services and a great price nice fitness room, has pool. Very nice staff as well. Easy to get to. Recommended on your trip to the Ark!

    « Excellent visit here »

Brand new, very nice, treated me like a valued guest, very nice room on 6th floor overlooking the river and the Cincinnati skyline.A snack of cheese pizza and a couple beers in the evening provided by hotel. Breakfast was good, but a little limited for me with diabetic needs and allergic to eggs (but the cheesy scrambled eggs sure looked good). Got roght to it off the freeway, but got lost leaving in the morning to head southeast.

    5
    « Best Stay »

Although our Business Meetings were at the Marriott, I researched for options and found The BW+ was the better overall value with a convenient location, quality hotel, better pricing, and INCLUDED BREAKFAST daily, with FREE parking. I could not see the rooms could have been any better elsewhere.

« Thank you Best Western - Covington, KY »

Beth Wuestefeld and Evan Koller made my one year anniversary with my boyfriend pretty amazing. We were blown away by our room, the friendliness of the staff and the overall presentation of the hotel. We will make sure to come back and recommend this hotel to all of our friends! Thank you Evan for the fantastic upgrade! Thank you Beth for our anniversary gift!

    « Love This Place »

We've stayed at this hotel multiple times, and always had a good experience. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly and the housekeeping staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. We also enjoy the manager's open house in the evenings. We would recommend this hotel to everyone.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Very nice hotel close to the Cincinnati children's hospital. Clean rooms and friendly staff make your stay a pleasure. We will definitely return and stay again. The hotel is newly remodeled and is close to several fast food restaurant's.

« Great stay in Best Western »

This was a great hotel to stay in. It was clean and the staff were super friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great the food selection was good. The location is convenient to get around the city. I would definitely stay with my family again.

    5
    « Awesome Hotel & Amazing Staff »

This Hotel is simply amazing, it's beautiful since the redo, still has the same great GM in Beth and great staff. It's convenient to downtown and local restaurants. They are really special people and I can't wait to come again next year.

    5
« Very affordable and very clean hotel »

We stayed here for a weekend long cheer competition. The hotel was amazingly clean, had free parking, and free breakfast and was only 1.5 miles away from Duke Energy Center where we needed to be. It was much cheaper than staying in downtown Cincinnati. I would stay here again for sure!

    4
« Great hotel for the price! »

The hotel was very nice, the bed was super comfy, and breakfast was delicious. The fitness center had everything I needed except sanitizer/towels for cleaning. The staff was friendl. There are places to eat nearby withing a few blocks walking distance. But right by the hotel there is just a few liquor stores and a smoking shop. The view out my window of the bridge and Ohio Rive was great!

    5
« Great Property and Service »

Have nothing but good things to say about staff, rooms, and services. Location is very convenient and right off the Interstate. Only downside is the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. Next to liquor stores and I would not walk outside alone at night. However, we had no problems. I highly recommend this hotel.

    5
« Excellent breakfast at this modern, convenient hotel »

We enjoyed an especially large, nicely furnished accessible king suite with kitchenette. The bathroom had extra shelves and was huge. There were 2 TV's--in the sitting room and in the bedroom. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good, except several of the cooked foods weren't kept hot enough. The hotel is just across the river from downtown Cincinnati which was very convenient for us.

    5
    « Great Location »

I stayed here as part of a wedding block for two nights. The hotel is very clean and offers continental breakfast in the mornings. I had a king bed room that also had a pull out couch. The TVs are new and have streaming capabilities. The room also came equip with a microwave and mini fridge. The location was incredibly convenient and easy to get to and staff was very friendly, especially the housekeeping staff that helped with the bridal suite the morning of the wedding.

    5
    « Nice and clean! »

Appreciated staying in such a newly renovated hotel. The entrance and breakfast area are extremely attractive and the room was very nice and very clean. You would think being located so close to the Covington bridge there would be a lot of noise, but running fan on low (no need for a.c. in Nov.) took care of any noise from bridge traffic--a beautiful view btw from our fifth floor room. Bathroom was sparkling clean, but not understanding why a mini coffeemaker is placed on the sink vanity? Do you really need coffee that badly it's necessary to brew in the b.r.? Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. We are picky travelers and couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel; so great work Best Western!

    5
    « Weekend reprieve »

Hotel staff were friendly & courteous. The rooms were clean & cozy with great space. The breakfast had an abundant of choices, fresh & delicious. Location easy to access with short walking or driving distance to many restaurants & attractions. Will definitely choosing this hotel & location again.

    « Outstanding Hotel & Service »

I am not very familiar with the Best Western brand and was very pleased with what I found at this one! The service was outstanding and the hotel was beautiful. I understand they were recently renovated and the outcome was ideal. The friendly employees sealed the deal that I will happily stay here again

    5
    « very satisfied »

Could not ask for a better place to stay. Very clean. very comfortable. Anyone employee you spoke with was very helpful. It has the best hot breakfast I have ever seen a hotel have in their facility. The pool was very clean. Could have been a little warmer but still good.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

Stayed here for a wedding because this is where the couple blocked the rooms. Staff was amazing, hot coco in the lobby, nice pool, Staff more than helpful! Would love to stay again! Breakfast was good with plenty of seating, and right next to waffle house and Skyline chili!

    5
    « Great Stay »

We scheduled a block for a wedding party and the price was the lowest I could find in the area....and it included free parking and a great breakfast! The rooms were modernized and clean. Can't say enough good about it!

    5
    « Would stay again »

The hotel was very clean and inviting. The room was spacious and well decorated. Breakfast had a nice selection of options to choose from. The free internet was fast and easy to connect to. I would stay here again.

    5
    « Stay to visit Children's Hospital »

This hotel was very convenient to the Children's Hospital and made my daughter a little less nervous with that stay due to letting her choose a toy from the treasure chest. And, the staff was friendly and helpful with directions.

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

Spent four nights and was very pleased. Location was convenient to Cincinnati, Clean, comfortable beds, lots to do in general area, could take a shuttle into Covington, Newport and Cincinnati. Definitely worth a return visit if in the area again.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

We had a riverview room and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were very clean. No charge to park. Close to Newport where we went on BB Riverboat Dinner Cruise. Highly recommended! Breakfast was one of the best we have had at any of the hotels we have been to.

    5
« Beautiful space and room, friendly staff »

I spent the rest of our vacation comparing our other stops with this hotel. The room was beautiful and the hotel within walking distance of Main Strasse and just a little further to the downtown area. Breakfasts were amazing and delicious. The staff helped me get my directions sorted out and answered my questions on the safety of walking to our different destinations.

    5
    « Recommend highly! »

Convenient location--neighborhood looked a bit sketchy, but we were assured by staff it was safe. Everything about the hotel was very nice: cleanliness; friendly helpful staff; breakfast offerings; safe parking with night security person. We were quite pleased.

« Very Nice and Clean? »

Our breakfast was hot and tasty. There was apples, bananas, melon, pineapple, oatmeal, 4 cereals, yogurt machine, make-your-own belgium waffles, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, homefries, variety of pastries, muffins and breads. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa were available 24/7. Front desk personnel helpful with restaurants in the area and directions. We were in for the football game. it was so busy at breakfast that staff was making waffles as fast as the iron could make them!! Everyone wanted a delicious belgium waffle. We used the self-serve laundry. Worked super! Bring your own detergent. Make sure you take the Shuttle around the city to end and come back--for $1. Make sure your GPS works on your cell phone as you will use it all the time and Uber app is working on your phone. Chances are you may Uber a couple times. Churchill Downs is in Louisville, KY. It is an amazing destination and worth the 80 minute ride there!! Definitely get to Fountain Square. Did Christmas shopping at Tiffany's! Graetner's Ice Cream Shoppe is homemade. The Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Chip--OMG, delicious as well as the cream horn! Check out the German village--the Cock & Bull (2 blocks down and then 3 blocks up from hotel) great appetizers, Hofbrauhaus in Newport-great Saturday night atmosphere & band and Barleycorn's in Lakeside--great Bourbon wings. Jack Casino Buffet a little pricey at $25. Had Salmon (done perfectly) and prime rib (very tasty)! Make sure to try the fresh made crepes with mixed berries or Bananas Foster. Both delicious! And make sure to walk over the Purple Bridge (walking bridge) from KY to OH.

« Great Hotel for a Football Game »

Stayed at Best Western Plus on the Riverfront because we wanted to be in close proximity for the Bengals-Bills game. I highly recommend others travelling to attend a game at Paul Brown Stadium to consider this hotel. The rate was very reasonable and the hotel allowed us to keep our car in the parking lot after we had checked out to attend the game. We took the recommended shuttle ($1 per person) to the game and back which dropped us off under the parking garage right in front of the stadium. There was no hassle with traffic - could not have been more convenient for game attendance. The hotel is very clean and has a nice pool and very good hot breakfast. There is no hptel bar but in the evening a short walk (~10 minutes) to Meinstrasse Village (German) for some good food and cold beer! Finally, the staff was exceptionally welcoming, they seem to know their guests well and anticipated our questions and provided good service and recommendations.

« Good hotel to stay at »

Very clean and friendly. Price was a little high but it's high in the whole area. A Little traffic noise in the area but hotel seems pretty well shielded. Good place to stop during a trip. Had some internet problems (but didnt bother to call for assistance) so cant really holx it against them. Good spot to get to downtown cinncy without having to BE on down town Cinncy.

    « white squirrel »

We were told check out was 12 noon by travelosity. the hotel said it was 11 am.the overall experience was very good inside the hotel. The surrounding area had some homelessness and drug use. hindsight.....I might consider staying in Newport, Ky in a more developed area.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Ms India and her co-worker, along with the general manager and the morning staff were all excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It did not feel like a regular hotel stay. Also close to several restaurants in the area.

    4
    « Best Western Cincinnati »

Overall the hotel was very nice. The rooms were a little small but they were fine. The breakfast was included and that is a big plus for us. The staff was friendly but the maids were a little unprofessional in their dress and talking on the cell phones on speakerphone. Other than that we were pretty happy with our stay. The hotel is very close to almost anything we needed including Newport on the Levee, the zoo, and the Children's Hospital.

    5
« Excellent Hotel for great price »

My wife and I spent two nights at the Best Western Plus Cincinnati Riverfront and had a great experience. It was a great stay at a beautiful hotel for a great price. The view of Downtown Cincinnati at night from our room over the river was beautiful. It was close to the Covington eclectic area that furnished some great shopping and food for our enjoyment and overall it was just a wonderful stay.

    5
    « wonderful stay »

excellent staff and facillity met every requirement and whim the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable , the location close to great american ballpark and the banks is an added bonus.recommended

First of all our stay was very good here The night clerk on sept 21 was very helpful. we arrive at about 8:00 pm I ask the clerk about of any restaurants had delivery she gave us 3 different restaurant. Also when the food arrived they called us to see if we ordered the food. The hot breakfast was very very good. Will stay there again.

« New Updates Look Great »

We have been staying at this hotel during our visits to Cincinnati for the past few years. The updates look great. I like that they now offer a breakfast to go; that is a nice option if you are trying to get on the road and do not want to eat the breakfast. The breakfast area looks very nice and seems better managed now than before. Will definitely stay here again.

  • 5
    « Excellent Hotel »

Easy to get to. Newly renovated and it shows. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Only minor downside is the location under the bridge. Not sure I'd wander away from the hotel on foot after dark.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Not one complaint. Extremely great breakfast. Friendly staff that went above and beyond expectations. Hotel was clean an comfortable. Everything you could want or expect and a good value for the money.

    5
« Looks can be deceiving! »

When my friends and I rolled into the parking lot, the area appeared to be a little sketchy. But once we walked into the hotel it was like stepping into a completely different atmosphere. The hotel looked brand new, the staff was extremely pleasant and our room still smelled new :) The beds were comfortable and the decor in the room was super cute. We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at this hotel!!

    « Recently Renovated »

My son goes to Cincinnati frequently for medical appointments and we usually stay at a different hotel but They were booked so Cinci Children's got us a room with a good price at the Best Western. The hotel building used to be a Hampton Inn and has recently been renovated apparently. While it's a nice hotel there were a few things that were disappointing. We were in an adjoining room-- and could hear everything that went on in the room next to us-- from their TV to the toilet flushing. Which means they could probably hear my son who has Autism being loud. Also when we went to use the shower the water never got warm enough to actually shower comfortably. My niece took a cold shower bc of this. Aside from these minor annoyances the staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and the rooms best and clean. We didn't see the pool so I can't attest to that but I suspect it was nice. Breakfast looked to be a nice meal as did the evening light affair when we arrived... Will consider it as an alternative if our usual hotel is unavailable again!!

« Awesome Stay! We will be back »

Myself and 4 other girls stayed here for a girls' weekend for the Oktoberfest, there is a shuttle that runs for only $1.oo each way, very convenient. Awesome rooms, very clean and well stocked, Angela was very helpful in housekeeping, with extra towels and shampoo, Chevy and Beth at the front desk, very friendly, professional, and super helpful with directions and recommendations. The breakfast and the complimentary happy hour were over the top and much enjoyed. Lizzie was a ton of fun for our happy hour and made it so much like home! HUGE hot breakfast every day, tons of options. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff!!! (rooms 406 & 411)

    5
    « Location, location »

Though access to the hotel has never been the best, the location is great for access to different activities on both sides of the river. With the rebranding of this hotel, they've updated and redone many things to make it a pleasant stay. I'll be back.

    5
    « One Suite Birthday »

The manager Beth went out of her way to make it a really special stay for my wife and I. we have been staying there since the days this was a Hampton Inn Beth and her staff have stayed there now that it's a Best Western and they do a better job than ever in this newly remodeled Hotel.

« Gem on the Riverfront »

Lovely and updated this past summer, the hotel is fresh, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Thank you staff, for telling us about the shuttle!! You can go anywhere for $1. And we love the proximity to Main Strasse! As well as Downtown Cincinnati. Our first....but not last....trip to Best Western Cincy Riverfront

    « A MUST stay @ property! »

WOW I was IMPRESSED. Not a big fan of BW but the Plus added to the brand caught my eye and allowed me to check it out. IMO everything was on point with an exception of Fitness room needs a circulation fan, room TVs need to have a max volume control so that it won't be heard beyond the room and front desk staff should invest in NICE professional uniforms. I had 1 problem and the Assistant Manager did NOT handle it well. But it did not change my OVERALL feel of the hotel/my stay. Totally newly renovated property as of this year, EXCELLENT breakfast, free parking and about 4 minutes from downtown Cincinnati.

    4

    « Simply Excellent! »

This was the second time in the last decade that my wife and I have stayed here. Both experiences were positive, but the most recent was a particularly good one. We arrived early and desperately needed an early check-in. The desk staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! Not only were we granted early check-in, but we were also upgraded to a suite on a weekend that every hotel room in the Cincinnati area was sold out.The price is as reasonable as it gets for the area. The rooms had been recently renovated. And the continental breakfast was huge, hot, and delicious. My only complaint is that the trolly stop to take you around Covington, Newport, or into Cincinnati was a good 1/4-1/2 mile hike from the hotel. Regardless, for the treatment, the cleanliness, and the price, we'd gladly stay here again. Thanks for a great stay, BW crew!

    5
« Hotel was Great but Staff was Better »

My wife and I want to thank the Best Western Riverfront for an excellent stay. We came in for the Labor Day Weekend River-fest and everything was great. The staff was caring and very helpful and we have never stayed at a cleaner hotel. If we come back to the Cincinnati / Covington Area we will definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Ark encounter »

Wonderful hotel and excellent staff. Loved breakfast and afternoon snack. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Really appreciated the quiet atmosphere. The hotel was situated close to both of the venues we visited.

« Great Location and Newly Renovated »

I was in town for work a property was recommened to me by a friend. I never stayed in a Best Western before he mentioned the property was newly renovated. The guestrooms were big and cozy and it's location was perfect for my work related trips. Best part of the stay was the breakfast. Delicious!!!

« Wonderful new Best Western »

Great New hotel located just across the river from Cincinnati. Amazing rooms and staff!! A perfect location for both business and leisure for both northern Kentucky and also anywhere in the greater Cincinnati area. The staff and services couldn't of been better as this remains my favorite hotel to visit when I come to town. Wonderful job team!!

    « Good Choice »

This hotel was in a good location and actually a decent walk to the Reds game. It was a bit over a mile but we decided to do it. The breakfast was great! It was perfect for what we needed, a bit pricer than I would normally want but overall good.

    « Underrated »

This excellent hotel is the former Hampton Inn which was recently remodeled and rebranded which caused the overall ranking on TripAdvisor to fall to near the bottom of the hotels in Covington as the number of reviews for the ?new? hotel are few; however, do not let this fool you. The hotel is very nice with a great staff and is lower in cost than the others in the area; these factors will certainly drive the overall ranking upward as the positive reviews will continue to pile-up. (Note: Google Maps lists it as the new Best Western Plus but many GPSs still list it as the Hampton Inn.) Our room on the sixth floor was huge with one section containing a king bed and another section, with a wall in between, containing a sleeper sofa for the kids along with a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker; both sections had separate flat-panel TVs and a sitting areas. The bathroom was equally large with a walk-in shower. The room was spotless with brand-new, comfortable beds and furnishings. The Wi-Fi was strong and fast even though our room was in the back corner of the building and our room on the sixth floor did offer us a view of the Ohio River and Cincinnati on the other side but there is probably little view from most of the lower floors as the levy along the river likely cuts off the view. The complimentary breakfast was very good with cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs and two types of scrambled eggs, hash browns and maple sausage (made popular originally in the Cincinnati area, once known as Porkopolis, by a UC grad) but I was surprised by the lack of cups of fruit flavored yogurt that are a staple at other hotel breakfasts and an item I always look forward to. Located near the base of the I71/75 bridge over the Ohio, access to downtown Cincinnati was reasonable even in the morning rush as the major bridge work, now complete, was winding down during our stay. Parking is complimentary and although some other reviewers expressed concern over the liquor store next door, it is a clean, well maintained facility that caused us no concern.

    « Great hotel »

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. It has even changed chains and I find the hotel and services to make it one of my favorite places to visit. Accessible rooms are well designed and functional. The breakfast service is varied, tasty and healthy. Our visits are to a local hospital and come with the stressors that are implied. Everything about this location and the service they offer makes the trip easier for our entire family.

« Wonderful hotel and friendly staff. »

This remodeled hotel is beautiful. The lobby is very modern and inviting. Guest rooms are extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was very good and the presented like you were in someone's kitchen. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly - everyone says hello as you pass, asks if you need anything, etc.. The location is convenient - literally right off the bridge from Cincinnati. Got a very good price by booking direct on the hotel website. Better than Expedia or the other sites that I usually use.

    « Best breakfast ever! »

We loved this place! Clean, friendly and the best chain hotel breakfast we have ever had. The cook even came around with smoothies. Easy parking, Uber close ride to the main attractions. You can walk to a trolley stop.

    « Convenient »

Traveled with friends for a weekend baseball series in Cincinnati. The Best Western was newly remodeled. Great amenities. The local public transportation system provided a shuttle to and from the ballpark. The pick up was a short walk from the hotel. The cost was $1.00 per trip, very reasonable and great drop off/pick up locations.

« Visit to Creation Museum and Ark Encounter »

I was there Aug. 16-19 to visit the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter with a group from our church. I was very very happy with staying here. The rooms were so clean and refreshing. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was all anyone would want. The kitchen staff were so friendly and helpful and eager to please which they did. And that gravy and biscuits were to die for. I would definite recommend this hotel and would stay again. The only suggestion I would make would be for them to consider putting exhaust fans in the bathrooms as they really get fogged up while taking a shower. Thank you for making our visit so pleasant and enjoyable.

    « Clean and Updated »

Clean and updated room. High beds and comfy. Will definitely stay again. I wish the cost was less. Lots of food places near which is a huge plus. Loved the free breakfast. Wish they would add turkey meats as I don't eat pork. I'm very picky so you can count on this being a great review.

« Hidden gem in the city »

This was a short overnight trip after the evening tennis matches in Mason. Pricing was much better than the hotels nearer the venue. Was alerted in advance of the best way to get to the hotel due to a freeway closure which is supposed to be completed before the end of August if you are coming from the north on I71. The hotel completed a renovation in July so everything had a new feel to it. The room was extremely comfortable and included a microwave and mini refrigerator if you needed to use them. The bed was great as we both enjoyed a restful night's sleep. Breakfast is an upgrade to some of the other hotels that provide a complimentary breakfast. The maple sausage was delicious and there were two options for scrambled eggs. There was a nice assortment of fresh fruit as well as many other breakfast options. When arriving and departing from the hotel, Cris P. was there to greet us with a smile. If you stay at the hotel you will know who or should I say what I am referring to.

    « Great Stay »

Very clean rooms, updated, soft, comfy beds, superb breakfast. My son and I had a room with two queen beds which were extremely comfortable. Everything about the room was satisfying. They even put the TV remote in a fresh bag so you knew it was clean. The bathroom was roomy and the towels were fresh and fluffy.

    « Nice Change »

Whenever I come to the area I stay @ this location. I liked it when it was Hampton Inn but like it better as Best Western. Recently since staying @ this location so often I have become more and more friendly with staff. A few of them consider me a regular so I feel like family.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

I had a wonderful experience checking in and out. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, smelled good, was nicely decorated, and a very comfortable temperature. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and provided a good nights rest. The breakfast was great. There were many options and everything was delicious. All the staff we interacted with were all very friendly. The only negative comments would be that the indoor pool was quite cold and the location is not great. Security did not seem to be an issue though. I would stay again.

    « Bugs in Bed »

Checked into my room that the front desk assured me was just cleaned. As I settled in and moved some pillows aside, I found bugs underneath . After reporting it, a manager remarked "at least it wasn't bed bugs". Very unprofessional

« Nice place to stay »

Great place to stay if you are going to the Reds ballgames. There is a bus stop up the street that costs only a dollar to ride to the games & returns after the games. We had a free day and went to a museum in Cincinnati, had a Gangster Tour in Newport, KY, & just relaxed.

Great location especially if need to head to Cincinnati Childrens hospital. Breakfast was great. Good choices. Pool was clean just wish it was tad warmer. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Staff was very nice as well.

« Not the best neighborhood but nice updated hotel »

When we pulled up to the hotel I was a little surprised by the fact that there was a liquor store in the parking lot. We booked the stay for my sons visit to Cincinnati Children's. I booked this hotel based on good reviews on trip advisor. The parking lot had quite a bit of traffic and wasn't the best. The actual hotel was very nice and the staff, especially the manager were friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and nice and a good size. The breakfast was probably the best part. It was a hearty hot breakfast with eggs and different selections daily like sausage and bacon. Overall in spite of the neighborhood and traffic we would stay here again.

    « Great hotel! »

Great team at this hotel. The service was awesome! Beth pouring coffee, Alisha at the desk and Evan with information and directions. The hotel looks brand new!!! The breakfast was awesome. Eggs, great coffee, and fresh pastries! I will be back next week!

    « Covington Stay »

On busy weekends the parking lot is full and parking is not clearly identified. We asked someone not with the hotel and they let us know there was an overflow lot behind the liquor and cigarette stores. Breakfast was good but out of eggs by 9:00 AM

    « Best western - Covington, KY »

Excellent hotel to stay at with a very nice breakfast included.. Construction in the area makes for small inconvenience but this is a very nice modern hotel. Location is just a couple blocks across the river from Cincinnati ball parks.

« Good Hotel, Not ideal for getting to Cincy Children's Hospital) »

I am not familiar with Cincinnati area. Needed a place to shower and lay my head while child was at Children's Hospital. The hotel itself is great. Served is purpose. I did not check out any amenities, did not care about a view (good thing bc I did not have anything exciting to look at). Bed was perfect, room clean and spacious. Things outside of BW control are my reason for an overall low review. The liquor store and smoke store only feet from the BW - their patrons, made me nervous. I71 was closed for construction during the time of my stay. There are other bridges to cross to get in to Cincinnati, however - my biggest complaint is geared at the city of Covington - there are no street signs at intersections. So when given directions such as "turn right on 4th street", finding 4th Street is a crapshoot. Google Maps GPS was worthless in this area. If under stress due to personal circumstances (a child at Children's Hospital), I analysis would not recommend this BW location.

    « Clean and comfortable »

We visit the Children's hospital twice a year for check ups for my son. This is the only place we have stayed since starting to visit the Children's hospital. One because my son doesn't like change but two because the service and staff was so great there was no need for the change! We enjoy our stay each and every time! Thank you for being so friendly and welcoming! Makes things easier for sure!

    « Incompetent staff »

They did not know how to process BW gift cards. After 15 min at checkout trying to process, I asked for copy of bill with signed note that I paid with gift cards. Also was promised an email with receipt, which was not received 24 hour later........still trying to process cards? Beautiful room but window so dirty could hardly see out of it. Outstanding breakfast...congrats to cheerful lady who did it!

« BW Plus Cincinnati Riverfront »

We stayed at this hotel a couple of times before when it was previously a Hampton Inn. After discovering that the hotel had under gone renovations to become a BW Plus, we decided to book a room anyway for the July 1st weekend to see the Reds play. Reasonably priced and convenient to the ball park and downtown Cincinnati as well as close to freeway accessibility. Renovations transformed the hotel with a totally updated decor, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and nice pool. (No hot tub) Not being a fan of tasteless "egg beaters" style scrambled eggs, the complimentary breakfast was adequate with a variety of other breakfast selections including smoked sausage, hard-boiled eggs, "make-your-own" waffles, oatmeal/cereal, bagels, danish, yogurt, and fresh fruit. There is a trolley/shuttle service a few blocks away, but we opted to tap and ride this time for $6 to the entrance of the ball park. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but we noticed that many guests had pizza delivered to the hotel. All-in-all a nice hotel, and we would definitely stay at this hotel again!!

« Great place to stay! »

We had a large group staying here for a wedding. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has been recently renovated which was great. Very good breakfast. The staff was always right there to refill dishes that were empty.

    « Pleasure to stay »

We choose this BW to stay at because it was convenient to us wanting to go to the Ark Encounter the next day. It was a plus that the staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good. And the decor was just icing on the cake for us. Worth the extra money as up grade from regular BW.

« Friendly staff, excellent breakfast! »

The staff was very friendly and caring. They were helpful to explain the $1 shuttle/trolley service to local areas. Breakfast was outstanding with warm ham, eggs, eggs with cheese, skillet hash browns, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, pastries, and more!

Came to check into the Hampton Inn but the hotel had just changed over to Best Western the week before without our knowledge. The clerk (at 1:30am) was very accommodating helping us through our transaction and we got a very comfortable, clean and enjoyable room. Thank you!

    « Great hotel. »

Staff was delightful, rooms were clean, everything you would expect from a best western, however breakfast was terrible, fake eggs and processed sausage links, also kind of deceiving to call this a riverfront hotel, you can see the flood wall very well, the river not so much also the noise from the bridge was super annoying but obviously can't be helped. If you're not interested in a great view or breakfast this would be a perfect hotel, convenient and friendly. Will certainly stay again next time we're in cincinnati.

Nice newly remodeled. Great beds! Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. 24 hour coffee in lobby. Beer and soft drinks between 4:30 and 6:30. (2 drinks are complimentary ). Hostess was great! Pool area clean and plenty of towels to dry off with. Enjoyed the visit.

    « Holiday Weekend »

This was a pretty standard hotel. We did not have a good view of the river, so its unfair to call it a riverfront hotel. We found the place to be disappointing. They were packed and insisted we had to wait for our room, we were there at check in time, but we told we'd have to wait because the room wasn't ready. Because of the holiday weekend and people calling off work they were behind. Didn't see that as our problem, they want the holiday business, but were not prepared. Disappointed!
