This was a very affordable option. inside was clean and staff was nice. Living room area (in the room) was nice to have, but the furniture was uncomfortable and worn. Other than that........Yes, I would stay again.
This hotel definitely is not worth the money!!! The halls stink and need an over haul. Initially, I was checked into room that did not have a working television. My room was changed to a room with a televisions were several of the channels do not have sound. When we attempted to take showers we discovered that there is not any hot water. When we notified the front desk that we did not have hot water in our room we were told to let the water run and hot water should eventually get to our room in 15 to 20 minutes. When we let the water run for over an hour and told the front desk that we still did not have hot water, we were transferred to the manager. When we requested an early check out and refund to find a habitable room (with hot water), we were told no and that the water would eventually make it to our room. When we advised that we expected a habitable room with hot water, the manager told us that we would not get a refund and hung up on us. The water has been running for over two hours and we still do not have hot water. When we asked the front desk to change us to a room with hot water, we were told that they could not guarantee that any of the rooms have hot water.
I was very impressed with the kindness and alertness of the staff but most impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and room! I have stayed in many “luxury” hotels and this hotel well exceeded my expectations compared to those luxury hotels. Highly recommended, parking is included and 15 minute drive from anything we wanted to get to.
I wish, oh how I wish, I had not squandered two nights of my life staying in this hotel. My expectations seemed reasonable enough going in: I envisioned a clean, comfortable, quiet, but very basic room. Unfortunately, this is not the experience Best Western provided. The room was advertised as a queen suite, and was located on the third floor. There were two queen-sized beds in the bedroom area. There was a tiny bathroom and a living area. The problems began when I realized I did not want to place my handbag on any of the furniture in the living area. The living room furniture was filthy and ripped, beyond the reach of regular cleaning and maintenance. The carpeting throughout the two-room area was stained and blackened with dirt. The shower "oozed," rather than sprayed water. The bathroom lacked proper ventilation, so the shower produced an extreme amount of humidity which lingered in the room for many hours. Not certain if the humidity alone was the cause, but the room smelled musty. There was a nest of insects living in one corner of the bathroom. We slept poorly because it was noisy between floors of the hotel, both morning and night. Due to these issues, the room was not priced fairly or competitively. The cleaning staff is not at fault here. The issues described above and pictured below were due to neglect of the property, perhaps on the corporate level.
This hotel is a nice location for those that are in Chicago to experience all that the city has to offer. Located right off Lake Shore Drive, you have easy access to all major expressways. Beautiful views of Downtown skyline and short drive to the Downtown area as well as restaurants and shops in the immediate area.
Excellent location, extremely friendly staff. Great views of lake Michigan, close to downtown and a few steps from the beach. Clean rooms. fresh towels, FREE garage parking. Breakfast options were nice. 24 hour Nescafe gourmet coffee machine. Many different restaurants to choose from in the Hyde Park area. Nice, safe, and convenient walking trails nearby. My family will stay here again.
Gentleman working front desk is very rude. First off called and asked for early checkin and was told I couldn't but then when I came in when I received email about checking in around 2pm to 3pm. I checked in at 245pm and was told it was still early but I was like what was the reason for sending me an email asking me what time was I checking in. Then the gentleman tried to run my credit card as a debit card and acted like there was something wrong with my card that I need to call my credit card company to see what happen. And I was told after speaking to a supervisor that my card was ran two times and that there was already and autorized hold for that amount and that they tried to run it twice and that the other transaction was declined cause they already was an authorized hold for funds pending. Had spoke with General manager about situation and was instructed that he did see the funds pending and didn't understand what had happened and that it should be okay and that everything was good. So next morning went downstairs to speak to someone about $100 dollar deposit that was put on account at checking in and was told they didn't have to disclose that. But I explained to this same gentleman that I was going to go to a different hotel before I booked this room and it said an $100 deposit was needed in Rockford but not for this hotel in Hyde park and his words were we can choose to disclose it or we don't have to and to just charge it to the account.
The room was nice, clean bathroom and the linen was fresh. The lobby was bright and clean, service was good. Easy checkout and check-in. The carpet in the room needs to be refreshed has some stains but overall I would book again.
Questions quickly answered by friendly staff, clean room, nice breakfast. Good value close to bus/train options for traveling into the city. Nice location across from the lake with nice view. Overall good experience!
I stayed at the Best Western Hyde Park for medical treatment and was so pleased with my stay, free parking was a major bonus and the breakfast was delicious not to mention the pleasant staff. I will definitely be booking with them again!!
Staff is always very professional and friendly. Hotel is very quiet and clean. My family stays here whenever we're in town. And we wouldn't even think about staying anywhere else. This hotel is in a very convenient location and there's alot of restaurants nearby.
have never been in a place so helpful and kind and generous. great helpfulness, great joy, great kindness in every situation and hotel location. every time i asked for help they stepped up greatly and quickly.
My stay at the Best Western Plus in Hyde Park hotel was good, rooms were nice and roomy. The hotel amenity was available when needed and the staff kept your rooms clean and well stocked. The staff are little quiet but are friendly when approached. The breakfast was served hot and good.
We stayed here four nights in early October this year. When we started to check in the reception told us we had a basement room. In our previous stay here we had a basement room that we did not like so we told the staff we would rather have another room. They agreed and showed us the basement room and a room on the upper floor which we selected. Throughout all the staff was very polite, friendly and accommodating creating a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel has a very attractive bar-restaurant and every evening we had glass of wine in a nice surrounding. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a nice shower but a bit worn. Overall though it was a very good experience and we enjoyed it.
Nice, mid-range hotel. Bathroom was very clean and seemed newly remodeled. Bed linens were clean and comfortable. Only objection was the carpet in the room was worn and stained. Probably overpriced for what you get, but I don't have a good sense of the Chicago hotel market. I wanted to see the Museum of Science and Industry without renting a car. This hotel is easy walking distance to restaurants and the Museum. It's about a 20 minute Uber to the Art Institute if you want to take that in as well.
We are big Best Western customers as they fit our needs well. This Best Western Plus was nice, clean, and had a great lake view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's not too far from the downtown area, it would have been nice to be a bit closer in, however you pay a huge premium for that, so it was well worth the 10 minute drive to save several hundreds of dollars. Parking in the garage is a bit tough to navigate, but there is plenty of free parking. My only complaints are that the water pressure in the shower was horrible, and the free breakfast is not great, even by free continental breakfast standards. There is fruit, yogurt, cold cereal (mostly the sugary kids cereals, and Rice Krispies), and prepackaged muffins and pastries. No croissants, bagels, or bread. It's a good place to stay in Chicago if you want to save some money.
I had previously stayed at this property when it was a La Quinta. I was hoping for an improvement with the switch to Best Western and was disappointed. The workout facility was locked the whole time we were there. The breakfast that was served wasn't at the same level as the La Quinta had been and was way below the Best Western standards. That was my last stay there unless things improved by my next stay in Hyde Park.
Best Western / Chicago Lake Shore Hotel - Lisa & Kareem were really helpful & made my stay enjoyable. The grab ‘n go breakfast was healthy enough & just sufficient to fill a hole. The internet in the room was a bit off a challenge though.
Overall good stay. Location is great and staff are helpful. Parking is in the garage. 5 minutes to LRT station which is only 2 stops to all the downtown attractions. The only downside things are no hot breakfast in the morning and the room is a little bit of poor soundproof.
Cons: Lobby and hall smell mildew y Dirty carpets and walls Thin walls- hear elevators ding all night and people in the hallway Dark hallways Breakfast was advertised as hot - ended up being danish and bad coffee Card kept getting deactivated Price- Was way over priced !! Carpets dirty Bathroom ceiling has water damage Shower pressure was pathetic Broken chair in the room Pros Close to location
The hotel is quite well located at 15 minutes drive from the Loop and the parking under the hotel is a real plus. The rooms could be ok but first of all, after the 1st night my room was not cleaned. Of course the receptionist kindly gave me clean towels but I'm still waiting for an apology from the management. But the worst thing in this room is the state of the carpet: not dirty... very dirty !!! And what about the pseudo "breakfast": coffee, muffins, apples and that's ALL. Not even a fruit juice or a piece of bread !!! Unworthy of a Best Western Plus... more like a Best Western Minus Minus. I do not recommend it.
this hotel has gone too far downhill for the price. hotel smelled bad...so did the rooms. Elevator was broken so we had to walk up and down the stairs. our air conditioner did not work, and the front desk staff was rude and had an attitude during the day. the overnight guy was the best thing about the place. Breakfast was a joke. watered down coffee...apples and granola bars...that was all. nothing else. parking is tight and small space and not all cars will fit so you have to park on the street. the rooms were not clean. air didn't work. we had to request clean towels and pillowcases to which the daytime ladies at the desk were even more rude and upset so we waited till shift change and asked again. overnight staff was wonderful. beds are old and lumpy. internet was spotty on the third floor...better in the lobby. don't stay here. I've stayed here before and it has gone downhill since. will never be back again !!
Excellent location, covered free parking, easy in and out, great hotel! Great price comparatively. Every time I've been in Chicago, I stay here. I've been in Chicago every couple of months since 2020, and highly recommend. Been very satisfied every time.
Not greeted on checkin. Checkin lady just tapped on a clipboard basically telling me to fill up car info for parking. Website says full breakfast. There was notice saying it was grab and go. Went down 815am on a sunday and there were only a few bars of granola and a lonely wrapped commercial muffin left, with a note blaming supply chain delays sorry we don't have food. That excuse gets to be abused already. Mind you this property is in Chicago, literally only a FEW blocks from a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. Bathroom tile squeaking. Grossly overpriced for what they have to offer. Walls thin, our in-laws 2 rooms down from is could hear us TALKING in our room. No cable tv channels, only antenna. A call to front desk yielded nothing--they were aware of the oroblem, but no ETA of resolution.
Our room was infested with ants. Customer service was terrible - we were told in advance that we could get a cot and extra towels for the room and got neither. Hotel breakfast was the saddest I've seen.
Modern, clean, overlooking lake with "free" parking on-site. Front desk was helpful although we were mistakenly given the wrong type of room which was immediately corrected. Room was clean and comfy. However, breakfast was virtually non existent and not like another Best Western+ we'd recently stayed at. This was a deal breaker for us.
The level of service and hospitality of the lady at the front desk was despicable, rude, unhelpful and careless, I never experience something like this in my life Make sure if you have a Boucher to stay at this Hotel they don't send you to a terrible motel next door, where not even make your room in two days
Hotel is nice in all to be located on the lakefront of Hyde park Chicago but they need to take a little more time with cleanliness of the hotel and it's room. It's sad that most of the stuff doesn't work or is dirty. Staff needs to step up it's service and do better and stop making excuses of why they can't check room to ensure they are ready to rent out.
It's just a basic Best Western. What is nice is the free parking. The hotel itself was clean and welcoming when I arrived. the host checking us in was nice. The parking spaces are tight so choose wisely. The rooms are average sized, (not suites like BW+) clean and stocked with nice bathroom and coffee items. They are thin walled, so be careful what you say (I know the phone number of the person in room above me). The exercise room had treadmill, elliptical, and cycle (I walked to another health club half a mile away). The breakfast choices; instant oatmeal, apples, some type of grain bars, and small packaged muffins. Coffee and water for drinks - NO JUICES! This is an average, but clean hotel. For the area, if you're visiting the Museum of Science (less than a mile walk south) or the diverse area itself (very nice restaurants), this is your hotel
Terrible service, this property does not included breakfast which was the reason why I choose it , considering that I have a one year old baby that I wanted to feed him easily at the beginning of the day). First day, we didn't got breakfast at 9am and today we try at 7:30am and we only got an apple and two muffins, seriously??? We are 3adults and a baby…..only good this property have is kind employees and location , but they don't give what they offer… I assume because we went a 7:30am and there was nothing a few snacks at the morning and if you got something you are lucky …
The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The other parts of the hotel that I saw were clean also. Check in and check out were very easy. Plus they have free parking! I would definitely stay here again.
Mainly was just a place to sleep. Room was clean. Surprised it had a separate living room but clean. Parking was free but small in the gated area. Nothing special but decent for price and location was good.
The stay was great. Hotel was nice and clean. The staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean as well. The only thing we did not enjoy was that the beds are horrible. We traveled 5 hours and were hoping to get a good nights rest and we didn't. We wouldn't stay there again simply because we didn't sleep well at all and that's the most important thing. The need new beds.
The location of this hotel is beautiful. It's right across the street from the lake. The biggest complaint I have is the breakfast or lack thereof. I have stayed at several BW properties in the last few months and this is the worst breakfast I have had. All they have to offer is prepackaged muffins, granola bars, instant oatmeal, apples, and coffee. With the easing of the pandemic they could easily raise the bar with some hot offerings and juice and maybe some place to eat it besides taking it back to your room.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus Hyde park over the 2021 Christmas Holiday and had a wonderful experience. The staff were all polite. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in and I woke up for the first time in probably twenty years without back pain. I would love to know what type of mattress that they have, because they are of superior quality. I stayed at another hotel after a fire for three weeks in 2017 and barely slept awaking barely able to walk due to an inferior mattress. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The free covered parking is also a plus.
This is definitely a hidden gem, if you're driving and planning on using your car. Covered free parking, very nice staff, very happy with this place. Have stayed there on 4 different occasions the last 6 months.
This is an exceptional hotel for the value you are paying to stay here. The rooms are clean, and comfortable, and the hotel is clean with a wonderful comfortable ambience. The General Manager Tesh is the description of hospitality. He is sweet, professional, courteous, kind, and welcoming to every guest. Truly a worthwhile stay
My wife and I have been staying at this hotel since 2019 and every stay has been tremendous. The rooms are always clean and well-stocked as is the lobby. Above all, the staff is so nice and courteous and attentive. Oh and the parking RULES! I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. STAY!
I booked this hotel for 10/15-17 & we checked in around 6PM on the 15th. We went to our room to change for a concert we were in town for & came back to the car & it had been broken into & items were stolen. It had only been about 1.5 hours! The hotel management was not helpful at all! They just said they weren't liable & to call the police. One worker did call 911 & hung up after holding a few minutes saying it was too long & for us to call. No one was helping & they vaguely apologized. I didn't feel safe there at all so not only did we miss the concert, we also had to spend more money to book another hotel. No one even seemed to car when we left the same night with all of our luggage. This was probably my worst experience ever of customer service! The free parking was not secure & not worth it at all!
This hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly. It was easy to park and get to attractions. My only issue is the hotel is a bit noisy. I heard doors slamming all day and night. Also the windows are thin and you hear a lot of traffic noise from outside. The bedding was also not super comfortable. This was a good overall stay though because of easy location and it was very clean.
Simple Booking fasho Fast, Friendly First Contact with the staff named tesh A Genuinely Cheerful, Helpful, Knowledgeable Staff. (Tesh) Distinctive, Well-Appointed Guest Rooms That Are Exactly What You've Asked for. Thank you so much tesh for giving me the best vacation and opportunity of my life My email is: tysongreen762003@gmail.com Hit me up with at least a free night or something. Lol. But nah I loved the whole experience for real for real.
This was a fantastic hotel in downtown Chicago! Free parking and a wonderful grab and go breakfast as well. Staff was wonderful in suggesting different places to eat and all within walking distance of the hotel! Will definitely be back with my family!!
This property is a hidden gem! The location, included parking and room quality/cleanliness are terrific, but what stands out is the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. We've stayed frequently for work and have had a consistently excellent experience.
My Stay At The Best Western Hyde Park Felt Just like at home! Thanks To Tesh and Tereisita for their hospitality. They made sure we had the best deals and the best breakfast. I recommend the stay to anyone Hyde Park Area.
We stayed at the hotel during a very busy week as many other guests were there to drop their kids off at UChicago and so were we. We previously booked dates to return in October and we had issues with staff changing the price of our reservation after it was already booked. When I explained this to front desk agents Stephanie and Teresita, they informed me that the staff member I dealt with before is no longer with the hotel. Stephanie and Teresita went above and beyond to fix our October reservation at the rate that was guaranteed to us when we booked it in May. We really appreciate Stephanie and Teresita taking the time to fix our issues while being patient and polite, especially during a busy week as it had been a hassle for us. We are now excited about returning to the hotel in October for Parents weekend at UChicago.
Room very clean , nice service & front desk is extremely helpful !! Showers were very clean. The room gway she air air conditioning working up to par. The front desk even held my luggage for me most o the day. I l will be returning soon !!
Nice waking up to sunrise over Lake Michigan. Easy highway access Pleasant check-in & assistance from Delane & Tesh with extra coffee & towels for our 2nd day. REALLY liked the ease of parking, compared to many places in Chicago. Great stay & hospitality from this property & their staff. Thank you.
The hotel is ideally suited with easy access to highways and local Hyde Park amenities. Great price, too. We rented a car and there was no extra fee to park at the hotel. My only complaint is there are not enough pillows for the King Bed. However, the front desk did provide an extra one when we asked.
The location and rooms are great for a quick trip. Parking is limited.Public transportation is near by. Restaurants are within walking distance. Location is close to downtown area. Great customer service.
Born raised in Chicago, and my family lives at the apartment complex next door. I am extremely familiar to the area and the hotel. The location, that's what you are paying for. Do not expect anything else. LOL. The rooms aren't very updated. The pictures listed are for their website. I asked for extra towels in my reservation before I checked in, and alas I didn't get those. Yet I was told in a text there would be extra towels. Sucks right? I had a wedding Saturday I was prepping for, so I called at 3pm for towels, it was 3:40pm I called again, saying its been 40 minutes and I'm trying to shower to get ready for a wedding, that's when they got delivered. Before this, I asked a housekeeper with her cart for extra towels, she told me call the front desk. Don't know a single woman in the world who uses one towel for her hair and body. You will have a soaking rag. Lol Didn't think it would be that hard to shower and wash my hair. I hate to seem like a "Karen" but a pet peeve is when I'm spending money on an establishment and I can't get a simple request like towels done. Pipes were loud when someone is showering. The hotel does what you need, a place to sleep while you handle your business. Don't expect more or less. LOL
A fine Hyde Park location just off Lake Shore Drive and just 3 miles from the University of Chicago Medical Center. The rooms are nice and include a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast is brown bag, simple continental. The covered parking is very convenient and is included in your room rate.
I enjoyed my stay at the BW Hyde Park, the staff was friendly & very helpful...I'm sure my family was a pain with our endless towel and housekeeping requests...the location is great & our room was clean and comfortable
The suite and view of Lake Michigan was just a beautiful way to start and end every day.if you get an opportunity to spend time there I think you would agree with me. I can't wait for my trip next year.
They wouldn't allow me to cancel my reservation due to Covid concerns. Their entire website is decided to their pandemic response, but when push came to shove they did not honor their own protocols. I will not stay at a Best Western again.
Excellent value, clean room and professional staff. We stayed 3 nights and overall very pleased with the accomodations. It would have been nice to have the normal breakfast and coffee you expect from Best Western as well as the fitness center but a suppose COVID still had this shut down.
This BW is more for adults who need a room to sleep, not so much for kids. If you have a family, look for another hotel that has a pool or is more family friendly. It's more for the value, because it's away from downtown Chicago. If your a W Sox fan, this would be a good hotel to stay at, other than that it's just another rented room to sleep at.
The place was initially great - parking is free which is really hard to find and that was probably the main plus. We left early - like 11PM at night instead of staying the whole night because I found a dead bed bug on me.. this was after I'd showered.. I told the front desk and gave them the dead critter on the piece of toilet paper.. They took an image and told me the manager would contact me, but never did. It was okay because we drove back earlier, but it sucks having to flee in the middle of the night, because you don't want to sleep in a room where you found a bed bug on you. They should get rid of the carpeting in the room which felt dirty. The toiletries smelled nice, and the staff was nice. But wouldn't stay here again due to that experience. Oh and I found one of the towels still had smeared mascara on it.. They probably should've gotten rid of it. Maybe other people had better experiences?
The lobby smelled like weed. I'm from Denver…I was still taken aback. The elevator tiles we're in terrible shape and have just an overall gross aesthetic. There was a dirty, cracked tile in the room that grossed me out. The ice bucket was dirty. But believe it or not, the room was acceptably clean. Parking was kind of limited and there was broken glass all throughout. The location isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it ideal. I wouldn't stay there again, it wasn't cheap.
We stayed in a suite and the room was big enough for our family, however the bed in the fold out couch is a little smaller than others we have used. The room needed some remodeling as there were a number of holes in the wall and trim, and the bathroom was in need of a remodel. The breakfast is still just a table of prepackaged food (muffins, nutribars, etc.) With no not food, juice, milk or anything else. They are still under COVID breakfast protocols, when many other hotels are serving a full continental breakfast again. The biggest reason we would never go back to this hotel is the sound. The walls are thin enough to hear every conversation/TV through the walls. Even louder was the bathroom, as the register vent went directly to the room above, and you could hear them as if you were in the same room. We were on the 3rd floor, and there must have been an active toddler or group of gymnasts above us. They were blasting music and talking loudly until 3 AM.
If you are only in town for one or two nights, this is an OK place to stay. We had a great view of the lake, and it was convenient to restaurants and transportation if you are familiar with Hyde Park. And there was parking. There is no signage on the actual building, and it is an older facility that needs some repairs - elevator, water pressure, decor updates and housekeeping. We understand that COVID played havoc with supply lines - but the included breakfast was abysmal or nonexistent. And they ran out of water bottles in their poorly stocked store halfway through our visit. We are frequent travelers. And this was the first time we have tried a Best Western. Sadly, the only « Plus » about this hotel experience was the view.
This hotel is a great hotel and extremely clean. Everything about it is perfect! And the manager Lydia is very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely come back to this hotel every single time I am in the city of Chicago. Great rooms, great conditions, staff, and management!
Best Western Hyde Park offered the best overall value near University of Chicago where our son is doing research towards his doctoral degree, especially when you consider free parking onsite. We enjoyed excellent food and amenities in Hyde Park area.
No water pressure in the shower, there was hair left in it when we got there and the tv didn't work. After informing the staff of the issues they changed our room. The second room there was also hair in the shower! The toilet wouldn't flush at all and it took 30 hours to receive a blanket after we asked for one.
The staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable regarding the Neighborhood and ways around the City. For a quick and short stay in Chicago, this hotel is a great place.
This hotel is far from Best Western Plus quality. It is very old and run down. You can hear every move your neighbor makes. The staff is not overly helpful. Our toilet wouldn't flush as soon as we got there, and their answer was giving us access to another room across the hall to go to the bathroom instead of just fixing the problem. It does have a good location near the city and right across from the lake. But save your money and spend it staying somewhere else. This place is not worth it.
Although the location is good, the quality of the hotel has declined. Room furnishings have seen better days. Water pressure is low. Front desk staff not able to resolve issues. Best amenity is “free” parking.
We had a wonderful warm greeting upon arrival and no problems during our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The desk clerk was helpful with our questions and very personable. My view of the sunrise over the lake was breathtaking! Definitely recommend!
Clean updated room. Professional and courteous staff. Clean interior exterior building. Pet friendly. Near by restaurants. Plenty of parking. The continental breakfast could be better. Maybe the hotel could offer some healthy choices, example better selection of muffins, fruits, juices and self served waffles.
Wanted to stay on the lake and getaway for my wife's birthday. We were pleasantly surprised. Hotel was clean and decorated very nicely. For the location view size of the room it is an excellent deal. We are going back in May!!!!
when we return we will be staying at this best western. we ad a great time and say!! wished everything was open. cab service was quick and fast (no waiting). loss of things to do!! looking forward to my next trip!!
I appreciate the parking and polite staff. I do feel the staff could've been a little more proactive. I enjoyed my room, The Internet was Janky. My MacBook cannot connect, the staff has issues with communication, but they are such really nice and polite staff, that it makes it easier to deal with a few hiccups.
Kris did an amazing job helping my family today, she was very polite, patient and understanding of their situation and also, took the time to help my Dad even though their was a language barrier between the two. I would definitely recommend this hotel and again appreciate Kris at the front desk for going above and beyond to help my family and care for their needs.
We stayed at the Hyde Park, IL Best Western Plus for a birthday celebration. My entire family was here, the hotel room was big enough for the 6 of us (4 adults and 2 children) everyone slept comfortably, we brought an air mattress with us. The view of the lake front was phenomenal. The only problem we had was the bathroom had ants in it, we called the front desk and was advised they can clean the room but could not spray since we were staying in there.
I really appreciate the management staff at lakeshore hotel. They were extremely helpful and made sure I had everything I need before time. Outstanding staff and I had a wonderful stay at the suite you all offer.
I'm working as a front line worker at a large hospital in town and needed a place for 1 day of sleep. Elected to stay here as it was close to work plus free parking. The check in was unnecessarily long. The girl at the front desk didn't know what she was doing and I later found out that I was charged not once but twice. The room itself was large and the bed was fine. Quiet and dark for us day sleepers. Check out, I was reassured that the double charge would be shortly rectified. I've called 4 times with the assurance that it would be fixed. I called twice tonight and the girl who screwed up my bill hung up on me twice. Not a mere coincidence at this point. Buyer beware. If this is what they do for someone working Frontline after an 12 hour shift working in a covid icu imagine what they could do to you. Nothing but the utmost contempt for these scammers. How low can one go?
This hotel is right off of Lake Shore Drive with a wonderful view of the lake. It has garage parking on the north side of the hotel. They serve a free breakfast in the lobby which includes waffles (fresh made), bagles, coffee, tea, pasteries, toast, sausage, etc.). The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Best of all the price is extremely reasonable!!!!!
