Best Western Caldwell Inn

We stay here a couple times a year, and are always pleased with our visits. The bed is comfortable, room clean and the staff is always friendly. Breakfast on weekends is in the hotel, while at other times, the restaurant next door which owns the motel. There, too, staff is just as great and friendly. We will be back!

Best Western..the best it is! Very clean & the staff takes pride in their work & shows. Outgoing & friendly.. Worth staying... The reviews I read were right on the mark. Also try Lori's next door..really good food...

Stopped in to get a room, front manager Broom Hilda informed me all she had was handicap rooms and was not very friendly. She then ask for ID rudely, then says she has 2 king rooms smoking or non smoking, I said non, she then ask if I have pets which I said yes and informed her they would stay in truck.....She lectures me there will be a $200 fine is they're in room, I repeated I just told you they will be staying in truck and she exploded dropping F Bomb slammed my ID on counter, told me to get out of her hotel that she was calling police ....LOL......This gal needs some anger management counseling. After reading other reviews this seems to be normal operating procedure for this BW... No wonder their parking lot was near empty as other accommodations were full....The owners of this place are really hard up for help !

We stayed overnight because it is close to The Wilds. Everyone was great from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The pool was wonderful. Rooms clean and a/c worked great. We will be returning and we also recommend a visit to The Wilds.

Hotel was easy to find and plenty of parking. Theresa on the front desk was exceptional, even providing us with detailed instructions on how to get to the Wilds. The room was clean and good internet service. Unfortunately the diner next door is closed on a Tuesday so a very limited breakfast is served in the lobby. This was not of the standard I expect from a BW hotel.

Great place to stay when traveling in Southeast Ohio. The hotel is always clean, great personnel running the place and has a connection to a restaurant called Lori's that you can walk to. We've stayed there numerous times when we travel north from Florida and have never been disappointed!

a few little bumps in the road, but the staff was very friendly. I believe they were willing to help, however they were unable to, whether that be due from lack of experience or training I am unsure of. I do not believe the air conditioning was working in proper order as it was on 60 degrees and I was still sweating. This establishment is very aware of their towel count (which was not a problem for me), be very cautious of this as they will review your room prior to returning any deposit made. I would even suggest counting the towels when you get there, I felt as if I was being accused of something during the checkout process.

The staff was very accommodating, pleasant, and courteous. The rooms were very clean, one of the cleanest BW we've stayed at. Several restaurants in the area, and we enjoyed "Wings ETC". Our room was spotless, the TV selection was good, free WiFi, the only problem was they can you a voucher for breakfast at a local restaurant that stopped serving breakfast at 9 am which I thought was just too early, as a general rule most hotels that serve breakfast stop at 10 am.

A wonderful surprise which exceeded all expectations. Very clean rooms and property. Excellent fitness center. Very quiet. Fast internet. Free breakfast at diner next door. Superbly trained front desk staff. Experience is like staying in a new hotel. Highly recommended. Hope to return soon.

We travel from NC to MI every summer and always stay at this Hotel. Located close to the Interstate but you can't any traffic noise. The rooms are always clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast at Lori's is outstanding.

We stayed one night with plans to visit a local attraction. The room was clean with mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron microwave and TV with HBO. Everything worked (did not try iron or dryer.) The pool was warm. Plenty of ice. A voucher was provided for free breakfast at the family restaurant next door which was also very nice. Everyone was friendly and the price was right.

I would have given a 5, but the manager was not so nice. The room was so big, and very nice. Property was clean, and nicely lit up. The breakfast was delicious. Had a very nice stay overall. Loved that they had a indoor pool.

Very nice indeed, especially for the price. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. All one could possibly want...started with a friendly desk clerk who actually read what I requested on my reservation. The room was clean and quiet. It was a tad outdated, but comfortable. Check out clerks were also very friendly. Breakfast was not a "do it yourself" deal; I was given a coupon for a cute little restaurant next door, which offered just about anything I could want. I would certainly stay again. That being said, the town itself doesn't have a lot to offer in nice dinner restaurants, which is not the fault of the hotel.

After narrowly missing a head on collision with a truck on the interstate I needed a good night's rest before traveling home. my car was badly damaged by debris but drivable at a slow speed. The previous night my stay at a Best Western in Beckly West Virginia was very nice. When I saw the sign for this Best Western, I decided to stop. It was a good decision. This hotel caters to hunters and truckers and although older is in excellent condition. The staff was wonderful. The room was spotless. For an incredibly low price of $58 I had a queen size bed, a chair and ottoman, cable TV, internet and a refrigerator. In addition, I received a voucher for a full sit-down breakfast with beverage at the restaurant next door. I did have a chuckle noticing the old phone jacks in the lamp bases instead of the USB ports normally in the lamps nowadays. I found it nostalgic. I have told many people about this hotel since I returned home. Thanks to all the staff that made a pretty scary day into a restful night.

We got 2 rooms for an overnight stay. There were 2 adults and 5 kids on this trip. We spent most of the time at the indoor heated pool that they have. So the kids got plenty of time to swim as the pool closes at 10pm. There are plenty of places to eat surrounding the hotel. They serve a nice continental breakfast starting at 7 which had good variety of food. Which worked out great for some of the picky kids I had with me. Would definitely recommend this hotel for the price in that area.

We stayed here before heading to the wilds. The interior was clean and updated. The front desk clerk was helpful and kind. She gave us printed directions to The Wilds. Free coffee 24 hours. Free juice during the day. Plenty of parking. Close to fast foods. The pool was clean. It had cedar beams which smelled really good. The beds were clean and comfortable. There's a restaurant that's a short walk from the hotel with good corn nuggets.

Clean,good location,great value, friendly staff. We used the pool and had a good time. Breakfast was included. Would stay again. Comfortable beds. Showers had good water pressure. Rooms had microwaves and fridges.

Stayed here the night previous to our safari at The Wilds. This hotel has an incredibly friendly staff, comfy beds, and a really nice pool. It is very well maintained with clean rooms, and vouchers for a yummy breakfast at Lori's next door. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is the lack of outlets and/or charging ports near the nightstand, and the lack of any USB ports anywhere in the room. Me, with my three grandkids, all needing a charge, left my grandson with a dead iPad, because we only brought two charging adapters for plug-in. At this point in 2022, I'd think all hotels would have upgraded outlets, or at least lamps with ports built in. Will stay again, when I take them back to The wilds for a zip line adventure.

We stayed here two nights and have booked five more (not consecutive) for the rest of summer. I read a lot of reviews before booking, and I will try to address some areas that I care about and some that others may have mentioned. Here is what stands out. It is clean. That is the most important thing to me. Staying somewhere that is clean is number one, and Caldwell Inn is that. I would never go for cheap if the room wasn't clean. The rooms are dated but who cares. You aren't buying the furniture You are just staying in there for a night or so. The beds are comfortable so I honestly don't care what the headboard, wall texture, paint color etc looks like. The area- I feel very safe here. I actually think my car and myself are a lot safer here than some hotels where I pay a lot more. There is a large truck parking lot across the street. There is an Arbys and Taco Bell within walking distance and a DQ a short drive (closes early so check that out). I have found the people to be incredibly friendly in town. The employees. I have no complaints. People are nice, friendly, working hard, and happy to answer questions. Noise- I don't think you can find a quieter hotel. I haven't, and I am a gold member at BW as of this review.. Breakfast- We were given a grab and go bag both times so far-- piece of fruit, bottle of water, cookies, granola bar. While it's not that great, we pay $70 more for a BW by my relatives that has a hot breakfast. I'd prefer to pay the Caldwell Inn price and not get breakfast personally. You can buy a breakfast cheap in the area if you want. Caldwell Inn does have juice and coffee in the lobby. My 12 year old basically camps out there in the morning while reading a book and drinking vast quantities of their juice, and they are fine. Wi fi- It is bare minimal. I have no problem with my iphone but it would be extremely difficult/impossible to do work on a computer- Blackboard, Moodle, Zoom, etc with the wifi. Again, we don't make a long stay here. We only use it passing through I think you just have to be aware of the capabilities of the wi-fi. It is VERY slow. No complaints. The Caldwell Inn is a perfectly good hotel with an amazing price point.

The hotel was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The pool was very clean and the rooms also! Beds are comfortable and bathroom was exceptionally clean and shower pressure was good! Would definitely recommend!

I have stayed at a couple hotels in this area and this hotel is definitely the best value for the money. The shower was wonderful, the refrigerator was cold, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and in working order. You have to go across the street to a restaurant for the free breakfast, however, it is well worth it. The food was great and for what they considered a "small" portion, I was stuffed when I was done.

I was told upon making the reservation that I could get a coupon for breakfast but they wouldn't give it to me. Also we had to get the front desk clerk up to get the tv working and there was a bug in the room.

By far, this is one of the nicest overall hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff was super, the rooms were above expectation, the breakfast was the best I've ever had. Best value I've ever encountered.

Excellent service, everyone goes out of their way to please you. Lobby and rooms were very clean. We have stayed at this hotel a few different times, due to my husband playing horseshoes in the area. We will be back again next month for another tournament too!! The restaurant next door is very nice, serves a great breakfast. We have also eaten dinner there too - and also very good. The one complaint we have is the desk chairs. The desk chairs are terrible!! We stayed in room 108 - the chair was shredded - one could not even sit in it!! I was afraid to even touch it!!

We stopped here on our way from North Carolina to Michigan. The location right off the highway was very convenient. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean place. Such a great value, especially if you just need a pitstop on the way to somewhere else. It was so quiet, I don't think I've ever stayed in a quieter hotel. The only downside was none of the staff wore masks. Same with the restaurant next door (Lori's). No masks anywhere, including the servers. Breakfast was just a bag with water, granola bar, and apple - but there is a McDonald's across the street.

This property was a great experience and very relaxing. Obviously new, clean and bright. The staff for the most part was very friendly and accommodating, especially Karen (Gen Mgr) and Teresa. The coffee was great and available along with water 24/7.

There is not one negative thing that I can say about this Best Western hotel. Start to finish it was very clean and the clerks were both very friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast at the adjacent restaurant, Lori's, was very good. You had a choice of 4 different full breakfasts with drink included with the voucher provide at the front desk that morning. We were in Marietta one day and then to the Wilds the next. The hotel location is very good for both places we went. We will definitely stay here again.

Room clean, comfortable, hotel staff very courteous and helpful. I could give 5 stars, but the night we stayed, the AM breakfast was a 'grab bag', would have settled for some cereal with my coffee-not into granola bars. The pool was lovely, and enjoyed after a long day at The Wilds!

We stayed here one night after visiting The Wilds (this was only 30 minutes away) We had a beautiful room on the first floor. Hotel was clean and well managed. We were AAA members which made the room even more budget friendly. A small local restaurant was next door, so an easy walk for dinner. (There we're also several fast food places across the street). Nice looking pool, but we didn't use it. The complimentary breakfast was at the local restaurant next door with 4 choices and you were able to add additional choices for a small price if you wanted. We would definitely stay here again

This BW was extremely clean, both inside and out. The reception was very friendly and the room was spotless and very up to date. They did not have breakfast in the hotel due to COVID, but gave us a coupon with the room, which we did not use. But for the price it is an exceptional value for the room, I have stayed in lesser rooms with Holiday Inn Express and Marriott for over $100. I will stay here again next time I need a room anywhere near here.

This motel is excellent, a place you would want to stay--very clean, hospitable and helpful staff, everything in working order/well kept up. Great value for what you get and close to Amish Country, The Wilds, Marietta Stern Wheelers, and Baylor Beach water park. Good and affordable places to eat at Lori's and Patty's Place, and also at Theo's (in Cambridge). This place is worth staying (even though Caldwell is lightly populated) for the close proximity to other locations. Keep up the great management and work!

Stayed over night inroute to our final Destination in Upper Michigan. The staff members were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Hotel guests are given a 10% coupon for dinner and voucher for a full breakfast at the wonderful restaurant next door. This will definitely be our stopover hotel for all our future trips from NC to MI.

We came to the area to visit family and were told to stay here because it was owned by “locals”. We like supporting community & the reviews were good so we booked. The place needs a spruce up. We have stayed at Best Westerns before and while it is not a glamour hotel, it has always been dependable and clean. Not the case with this one. The Caldwell Ohio one is not filthy, but could use a good scrubbing. Everything about this hotel just seemed cheap. From the pillows to the linens to the amount of toiletries in the room, it just seemed like the owners were trying to cut corners and save money at the expense of the guests. The front desk staff was nice and friendly, but all else is “pass”. There are newer and nicer hotels in Caldwell and we would recommend them to you verse the Best Western.

It's a clean place filled with friendly employees that care for the visitors. As a rewards member the check in is a breeze . The breakfast is at a little restaurant next door and always good food. We will return.

My wife and I have stayed here before. The first visit wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. This visit was a lot worse. First of all, there were hardly any cars in the parking lot, so I knew that they weren't busy. This time and the last time, all we wanted was an upgrade because we have Diamond Select. They said there weren't any rooms available. Yeah.... not buying it. If you don't have that room, it would be sold out on your website, which it wasn't. Becky is a nice lady, but she's a little out there. There was a man checking in ahead of us and she didn't have a mask on while serving him and he did have a mask on. When it got to our turn, people she knew, she put it back on. Wouldn't it make more sense to wear it more around people you don't know? He could've reported it. I could've too. But we try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Our first room was a little gross. The sheets had a stain and there was a hair in the bed. Becky went up there with us when we were in the process of switching rooms. Again, no mask on. Excuse me...... can you let us get our stuff together without being right there? It was very uncomfortable. We wanted a chance to get our stuff without being rushed out the door. We wanted a couple of extra towels. She wouldn't give them to us. She said it would have to be an even exchange. They're cheap $2 towels. It's not like we were going to steal them and sell them on eBay. The second room was fine and we had no complaints. Karen checked us out in the morning and did apologize for what happened. Yeah, that's great..... but she could've offered us something to make it right. Points, a refund, money off the room.... we got nothing. I would give this hotel another chance since it's decent and reasonable, but if they pull the “we don't have that room type” excuse again, I'm done staying here

I was doing some work in Marietta and this was the closest Best western. I was a little worried seemed out in the middle of nowhere. Found everyone was friendly and a few good places to eat at close walked to them. Rooms had a good price and nice. I will stay there next time in town.

My wife and I decided to stay here for one night and it was an excellent place to stay. My only complaints were that there was a little confusion on our room type and the $20 security deposit. Just authorize the card. You don't need to hold onto my money. It's one thing about ALL hotels that I disagree with. That being said, I did enjoy this place. Becky was a doll. She was warm and friendly. She even went to get me a luggage cart since I had a lot of bags. How many other people would do that for you? I can't think of any. That is excellent customer service. Teresa was also very nice and made us feel welcome. The hotel is easily accessible from I-77 at Exit 25. The nearby food choices are limited, but there's enough places nearby that don't require you to go elsewhere. We would definitely stay here again

two families met here for leisure trip, ages 3 months to 65!! pool was great for kids, breakfast was a voucher to restaurant next door with good food and receptionist very hepful. will stay here again

We had an unplanned stay at the Best Western in Caldwell, Ohio due to a battery issue. We were so happy to have chosen this hotel. Super clean rooms, friendly staff, awesome pool and vouchers for breakfast the next morning at Lori's diner next door (what a gem!!)

I enjoy staying here the staff is great the rooms are nice I have stayed here several times and they know me now and greet me as soon as I walk in they have my keys ready to go and my paperwork I really enjoy staying here when I can't stay at home

We travel alot. If the outside is dirty the inside is dirty. This hotel was extremely clean outside and the inside was clean as well. There were not people "living" at the hotel, which is a plus. Being right off the interstate made it convenient. There's places to eat nearby, so it's definitely worth staying at this hotel.

This place was way better than many higher priced places. Clean, comfortable, great amenities, and nice and helpful staff. I was super impressed. During Covid 19 we received vouchers to breakfast at a family restaurant next door. Very yummy.

From booking the hotel, to arriving, staying, and checking out, this hotel outdid itself. We booked the accessible room hoping that it would at least be partially accessible, but found that it was fully accessible. The roomy bathroom, to the right height toilet with grab bars, the towels on a rack that was lowered, grab bars and adjustable shower head and seat, fridge, and microwave at the perfect height and lots of space around the bed for wheelchair access. Checking out was a pleasant experience and breakfast was wonderful with a quick jaunt around the corner to Lori's Restaurant where the staff were just as great. A lovely free breakfast to start the next part of our journey . We would definitely stay here again.

We were here for one night and couldn't have had a more pleasant stay! Super clean, comfy bed, and has a great shower! They gave us a voucher for a tasty breakfast next to the hotel (easy, peasy walk) . Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Nice indoor pool. Highly recommend don't hesitate to stay here!

Was touring in eastern Ohio (The Wilds) -- and stayed at this hotel for one night Truly enjoyed it, especially their INDOOR swimming pool. Large and deep unlike many hotel swimming pools that are small and crammed. Swam in evening and it was wonderful -- darker lighting with blue pool and wooden structure around was awesome. Best swim in a long time and very relaxing. Food was at a diner next door and was also great. Rooms were clean and comfortable and staff was wonderful. Highly recommend it.

Excellent all around. Large, well furnished room. comfortable bed. Room well supplied. WE DIDN'T RUN OUT OF KLEENEX. Personnel were capable and courteous. Gave us a voucher for breakfast at local cafe. Good breakfast. At a very low price which was their standard rate. value - 6 stars. We went out of our way to stay here and it was worth it.

I have stayed at this location since 1997 when passing thru from Mi to NC. All required amenities are available with an abundance of affordable places to eat, gas up, and simply unwind for the evening. The rooms are nicely decorated and "re-done" when needed to maintain a fresh and clean appearance. Karen and the staff are always very accommodating.

I would stay again, very clean, nice pool, friendly staff. Great value. I will be staying again. The staff was very personable, stayed two days. Had a few issues at checkin but nothing to major. No complaints.

When I first choose to book this hotel, I thought should I? But from my review do not hesitate in staying here. Upon booking over the phone Karen was extremely pleasant and upon arrival the lady at reception was also friendly and helpful. Since the hotel had a smaller number of people staying that night they choose to give you a voucher for breakfast at the restaurant next door which they also own. This way less waste of food which cannot be reused if they served from the hotel. Excellent idea! Room clean, washroom clean, bed very comfortable and most important to us no noise! Will we be back?? Definitely

Desk attendants were friendly and helpful. Pool was exceptional and fitness cener was plenty. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast area was a little small for all the people but managable. Would stay here again if in the area.

We found this hotel late and night while travelling. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and in a convenient location. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at Lori's Family Restaurant. All in all a good stop.

Very nice room, looks recently remodeled. Breakfast was good with many hot options especially for children. Pool was enjoyable and very clean. Lobby was newly remodeled and well cared for. The location was perfect.

I want to thank you for the sweet caring of my Great Aunt Lynn. She has lots of health issues, and really bad knee joints. She tried to get us a room with an easy access shower, but they were all booked. My Aunt Lorri who is the driver just wanted a restful night. Upon her waking up this morning she was completely satisfied. Teresa Clark went above and beyond her duties. Thank You to her, and also a shout out to who worked the next morning making the wonderful breakfast.

very clean, updated , swimming pool, fitness room, close to the interstate, close to the fair grounds, fuel and conviencence stores right there. quiet . 25 nunutes to larger towns. comfy beds, great price.

We've driven past this hotel many times and never had the chance to stay. So glad we did this time! This is a very nice hotel and it has great rates! Very clean room that is well-maintained! The breakfast in the morning was very nice. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place!

Great place to stay. Clean and easy to check in and out. The hotel was very clean inside and out. The pool was nice. The food was good, hot and plenty. There was also a great of choices both hot and cold.

This motel was so very nice and price was awesome. The pool looked very nice even though we didnt use it. It was close to where were were going. The breakfast was very yummy and variety of options. We will be back for sure to this Best Western.

We had a nice one night stay with a few small issue that were quickly and easily taken care of. The pool are was a bit small but very clean and the kids had a blast swimming and making friends. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept great. We would definitely stay here again.

They have nice clean rooms with high ceilings and comfy beds. The indoor pool was spotlessly clean and warm. Our room had the AC running and it would not turn over to heat. They said it was suppose to but I heard another lady at the front desk comment on it. Great AC just take a sweater if it is a cool, damp day. The free breakfast is currently vouchers for the restaurant next door but only the adults get a voucher. That was a bit of a problem as our kids were bigger than 4 and the 'free' menu for them was not an adequate for a teen or preteen. But the price of the room was way better than other stops along the interstate.

My husband and I spent one night at the Best Western Caldwell Inn and were very impressed with the immaculate rooms, the wonderful gym (2 treadmills as well as some other equipment), and the great breakfast. Their front desk clerk, Teresa, went out of her way to be pleasant and welcoming. A 5 star experience at a 2 star price. In this day when many hotels offer hot items in a cramped setting, we liked the fact that a breakfast voucher was provided for an honest-to-goodness sit down establishment. The restaurant was literally a stones throw from the indoor pool. The vouchers allowed us to select from four (4) breakfast options, which included our beverages. We did leave a tip for the dedicated waitress, but we normally tip, even at the in-hotel complimentary breakfasts, which other places offer. A few dollars tipped for a full restaurant breakfast experience (eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast and coffee) was worth every penny. The evening front desk employee, Teresa, was amazing. She took my phone call as we drove North, and remembered me when we checked in. She even offered to enroll us in their Loyalty Club, which we accepted. I don't know how much she is being paid, but whatever it is, management needs to give her a raise, as she is a wonderful ambassador for the Best Western franchise. Because of her upbeat personality, warm demeanor and willingness to help us (TV in the gym) , we shall definitely stay here again in the future. The room was immaculate, the bathroom looked as if is was brand new, the water was hot, the water pressure was good, and the decor was soothing and inviting. I would not change one thing about this place.

My brother and I were in the area for the weekend. I've been at this Best Western a year ago. I've been to two other hotels in the area and this is my favorite. The pool, and the weight room, and the lobby were very clean. Our room was spotless, and everything worked well.

they let me reserve room and did not tell me pool was out of order they would not do anything to compensate for the loss of that amenity why would you do maintenance to a pool closing over the weekend ?

In mid-November 2018, I was driving across the country with my dog Urso. I had just come back from staying with my Fiancee in the Bahamas and since I won't fly Urso, we drove. About day 6 into the trip, I had a sudden onset of severe abdominal pain around the Caldwell Idaho area. It was so sudden; I could barely get off the freeway. When I did, I noticed a Best Western Plus. As a former EMT, I knew this pain wasn't normal and I was likely going to have to go to the ER. My worry was, “what am I going to do with Urso?!” I pulled into the BW in Caldwell and stumbled into the lobby. The clerk, Mason, had to show me to the bathroom because the pain was so severe, I was vomiting…I didn't tell him at that time much other than I didn't feel well. Mason helped me check in and finally I was in the room with my Urso hoping whatever this was would pass, but knowing it wasn't going to. I ended calling Mason at the front desk and asked him to get me an ambulance. My hope was that I would be able to drive to the hospital only 1.5 miles away. But that wasn't how it turned out. This all took place around 3 in the afternoon. My recollection isn't the best since it's been a while, but I believe he had the assistant manager on duty, Cybil, come to my room. She was very supportive but as any good manager was worried about what I'd do with my dog. I told her Urso is very well behaved (and he truly is), but I was aware that leaving him unattended was not allowed. Cybil was able to arrange for Urso to “hang out” with the maintenance person while I was transported and being evaluated at the ER. I promised I would call and check in with updates. A couple of hours later, it was found that I had an 8.8cm (softball size) cyst on my ovary and that it had twisted and cut off circulation. Needless to say, I wasn't going anywhere without its removal. I phoned the hotel back and Stacy, the General Manager, spoke with me. She was well aware of the situation. I told her that I was going into emergency surgery, but I likely would not be admitted. Regardless, I wouldn't be released until after midnight. Stacy understood my concern with Urso. Stacy said she would see that he was taken care of and that I had nothing to worry about. I was in extreme pain and so stressed, I can't tell express the amount of relief that gave me. I underwent surgery and they removed the mass. I was released late in the night (technically early the next morning); around 1:30am on November 19th. The hospital called me a taxi and I was back at the hotel by 1:45am. What I found when I got there is that Stacy had called her daughter Brenda who happily took care of my Urso while I was in the hospital! I was alone (my fiancé in another country and my family could not arrive in time to assist). Stacy, Cybil, Mason, the unknown maintenance man, and Stacy's daughter Brenda all became a family to help someone in a pinch! That is customer service!

The customer does not come first here and they do not provide things as advertised. There is also a strong smell in the rooms. Several hotels in the same area that treat their cusotmers better and have much nicer rooms. The manager Karen refused to speak to me when the front desk clerk called her.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms have all the necessary amenities and have always been clean. They also offer a great free breakfast at the restaurant next door. The staff is always friendly and the price was great.

Very nice property, but breakfast was a disaster. The offerings were good, but most items were not replenished. There was a large crowd. Not enough seating. One person was handling both the buffet and the front desk.

We just stayed at the Best Western Caldwell Inn after visiting the Wilds. It was very clean, and the staff is super friendly. They offer discount coupons for dinner at Lori's restaurant 10% off. It is right next door and within walking distance. The also give you coupons for free breakfast over there for breakfast. They have a great pool area and very clean. i would stay here again.

This was my first time, staying at this Best Western. I travel on business, and stay in hotels, 3 to 4 nights a week. I was looking for a new place to stay, close to my clients in Cambridge OH. I did a search, while in Parksersburg WV, and found this Best Western. Decided to give it a try. I'd been staying in Newcomerstown OH, for the last 3 years. But, the place had become run down, dirty, and actually, I didn't even feel safe there anymore. A lot of riff raff, and some shady activities going on there. So, I needed to find a better place to stay. I'm glad I found this Best Western. It's right off of I-77, at Exit 25. The building, and property, are fairly new, clean, and well maintained. The lobby and pool areas are very nice. My check-in experience was excellent. The lady was friendly, welcoming, efficient, and knew her job, and the procedures, very well. The room was actually a surprise. I didn't expect it to be so nice. The decor was very nice. The room, and bath, were very clean, and spacious. Everything in the room (TV, microwave, refrigerator, A/C and controls) worked as they should. The hotel was quiet for sleeping. No riff raff running around, no all night parties, and no yelling or screaming drunks in the halls, or outside. I mentioned that I liked this to the Desk Clerk. She told me that they don't tolerate that kind of stuff there. That's a plus. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. The sheets didn't have that starchy smell, that some hotels have. Overall, nice hotel. I'll be staying there more often. It's also closer to my clients in Cambridge, than Newcomerstown. So, this Best Western has given me a much nicer place to stay, and is closer to my destination. Can't beat that!

I live in Los Angeles and have stayed at this hotel several times. I've stayed in five star hotels and this is as clean. The management is meticulous and the staff friendly. If you are in Caldwell, this should be the place you stay!

We were in town for a high school class reunion. Everything about the room was great. The motel is in an excellent location. The staff is excellent. The rooms are outstanding. We like it. This was not our first visit, and it certainly will not be our last. Thank you.

A/c was on and the room was excellent! It was 90+ degrees outside and we sure enjoyed not having to wait for the a/c to cool the room. We even got to check in a little early as we were so tired from our travels.

Very nice place for such a small city. Large, clean rooms. Comfortable beds and good pillows. Indoor pool and fitness center. Friendly staff. Elevator. No breakfast, but the give vourters for Lori's a resteraunt almost next door. They have very good food.

Everyone that I met and dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean!!! I stayed in February and again in May. I will stay the next time I'm in the area too! I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Was one of the best motels we have stayed in for a long time. Would come back when traveling in that area again. The location was nice and although we did not enjoy the breakfast next door it was nice to know it was available to us.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, not new, but well maintained. Breakfast bar has good selection but kind of bland, like vending machine type taste. My employees were happy with it and said they would stay here again. Convenient to other places to eat if one wanted to.

This little hotel is a little hidden gem. They provide great customer service. The indoor heated pool was perfect temperature. The hotel rooms had been updated and for the value, you couldn't get a better deal. I'd definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed four nights at BW in Caldwell this spring while we continued our circuit hike of the Buckeye Trail. We plan to stay four more nights in May. This hotel and staff were wonderful to come back to after the rigors of hiking the steep hills in this beautiful part of Ohio. Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff, and awesome breakfasts make this one of our favorite stays in the entire state!

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very nice they have a nice size pool and the breakfast was exceptional we will be staying here again in the very near future. The only thing that need's to be upgraded is the heat in the room we stayed in it took nearly 3 hours before it got warm but other than that we had a great stay.

We picked a city 1/2 way between Grand Rapids and Fayettville and it was Caldwell. The Best Western was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We stayed on the way down and the way back. We will be regulars.

Our rooms weren't clean. There was hair on both toilets and in sinks, crumbs on the table in the room, large sticky substance on the counter outside the restroom. We travel with lysol wipes, so we actually cleaned it up ourselves. The reason for our trip was a death in our family so it was stressful to begin with. We didn't want to have to deal with the wait for someone to come up and clean the rooms. Very disappointing.

Its nothing fantastic, i was hoping to go into the hot tub as pictured on the website of the hotel but got there and no hot tub, the beds are not that comfy, there is not many towels or wash rag to use in the room but, overrall it was a okay stay. The staff was really nice too!

Our visits to Caldwell's Best Western are a pleasure. Karen and her staff are friendly, gracious and always helpful. The rooms are comfortable, neat and very clean. The gym and pool are an added bonus and we've enjoyed using both. Breakfast is free with our stay at the next-door Lori's Restaurant and delicious. The peach/orange juice in the lobby's juice bar is to die for!!

We booked on-line and were quickly called by the staff. The site overbooked the rooms. We got the Jacuzzi suite at no additional charge! Great night sleep. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast in the morning.

The hotel was great - it was very quiet during our visit. The room was clean and satisfactory. The one issue I had is the shower head - our room had a rainfall head but it was so close to the wall that i could not stand under it - the shower head had to be pointed out towards my face.

This Best Western was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It has either recently come under new management, or is undergoing remodeling. The rooms were well worn, but very clean. The continental breakfast area was not set up, but were given vouchers for a free breakfast at the diner next door. Our only real complaint was the room had a stale odor, as if it had been a smoking room at one time but wasn't aired out. Even running the fan constantly only moved the stale air around. No way to get fresh outside air circulating in the room. But it was clean, comfortable and friendly.

I stay on the road about 200 nights a yr and have stayed in so many places that I've lost count. This hotel is reasonably priced, has great staff and even offers a discount to a very nice local restaurant. I came several hours before check-in time and not only did the very nice attendant get me a room, but the room was excellent. Cool, but not freezing and was super quiet, even though the other rooms were still being cleaned. That may not seem like a big deal to some, but I drove 10 hrs to get there and just wanted to relax.. I do have a complaint and that is the HBO channel wasn't working. I didn't call down to ask why, so it's not something I can be too upset about. Everything else was very good and I will stay here again any time I'm close.

There are several other higher priced hotels in the area. But for the great price, helpful staff and adequate rooms, you cannot beat this hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and everything works. Each room has frig and microwave. Breakfast is provided at a nearby restaurant. Room decor is old and dark and needs some renovating.

Great, clean hotel! Friendly and helpful staff. Very thankful for the coupons for breakfast at Lori's. It's not a "busy" hotel so quite time in the pool was great too. First night had someone having a loud conversation down the hall until 11:30 but it ended just as I was about to call the desk. Other than that we've really appreciated the stay and we'll see how the next two nights go.

Spent the weekend at the Caldwell Best Western to ride the roads in the area. The motel is located off I-77 with easy off and on access to the highway. Being from Northwest Ohio where the roads are straight and flat the roads in Southeast Ohio are great. The motel is located on Rt 78 which is a great ride to the west to Rt 555, which is mentioned in many motorcycle magazines. You can take 555 down to the river, take Rt 7 East to Rt 800 back north to 78, back to the motel. There are many great rides in this area. I have been going to this area for several years. The Best Western in New Philadelphia is another good choice. Best Western welcomes bikers. This Best Western is priced well below value. The staff is friendly and provide good service while leaving you alone. The beds are comfortable. The shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water. Instead of the typical motel breakfast you are given a voucher to go to Lori's Family Restaurant next door. You get four choices for breakfast. Both days the food was very good with great service and a family atmosphere. I look forward to returning for my SE Ohio weekend next year.

We were looking for a place to call it a night. Thus our visit. It was extremely clean and like new. The breakfast next door (voucher with roo) was great. Five selections but we added to our order and cost us a total of $17 for 4 of us!

The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was clean, everything in the room worked (that I tried). It was a pleasant experience. And the pillows and beds are EXCELLENT. Not too firm nor too soft on the mattress. The pillows were not some lightweight throws but had a good weight and gave excellent support. And the sheets were clean and smelled that way.

This hotel is great. It is clean, the staff is nice. They have an inside pool and when you walk in it smells clean and is heated, they offer a sit down breakfast at a restaurant next door and the food is wonderful.

We used to live in Caldwell but have moved away. We were back for an overnight stay. We had a beautiful room, nicely decorated, and very quiet at an affordable price with either a continental breakfast or a voucher for the restaurant next door. We will recommend this motel to anyone staying in the area.

We got the last 2 rooms available but it was so quiet you would never know they were sold out. Clean rooms and common areas. Staff was pleasant and breakfast was as expected for hotel standards. Beds were comfy and we had a great nights sleep.

Clean functional hotel room. Quiet. Outstanding staff - upbeat and helpful. Decor acceptable but could use an update. Complimentary Breakfast at Lara's diner next door was marginal - need quicker service, friendlier staff and better food -- diner was biggest let down. Would rather have in-lobby continental breakfast. If the food is going to be low quality, then at least let me serve myself quickly. Finally TV signal was marginal with graininess on multiple channels (perhaps an isolated incident due poor connection); did not follow up with staff to resolve. Overall an enjoyable stay and good value. Would strongly recommend and stay again.

Loved the hotel. But the staff needs training on customer service skills. I had a bad feeling once I talked to the front desk a couple of times before we even stayed. It was a huge baseball group and many parents called in and every single one complained about the customer service. And the staff had no idea on how to talk to children.

This was an unexpected overnight stay. We were camping, however the 2-3 inches of rain we received sent us to the closest hotel which was this Best Western. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly (especially after checking in a group of loud young baseball players and their families) The pool area was very nice, and the wifi in the rooms worked well. The internet on the lobby computers was extremely slow, so we just used the wifi for our devices. The breakfast was at a small restaurant just across the parking lot and was very good. Overall, we would definitely stay there again if we come back through.

Overall I was satisfied with my stay. The pool area was great, just never any towels available. This hotel did allow smoking rooms and you could smell it in the hallways at night, but no problem with my non-smoking room. Not sure what cleaning supplies are used, but I did spray air freshener in our room. Only real complaint is the hotel advertises complimentary breakfast, but you really have to go sit-in at the restaurant next door to get free breakfast. They don't allow call in orders with the voucher the hotel gives your for breakfast.

The room was very clean, The people at the check in desk were extra nice, very helpful. The break fast was very good. We will stay there again on our way to Virginia we had just come from Michigan. We will stay there again. We feel everyone would like it.

Check in was quick and easy. The room we were given was nicely appointed and the bed seemed comfortable. However, our room was over the laundry room and the machines run all night. We couldn't fall asleep. I went down to the front desk and asked if another room was available and was quickly assigned to a more quiet room farther down the hall along with an apology for the inconvenience. You can get a 10% discount at the restaurant next door (Lori's) for lunch or dinner. Morning breakfast also requires a coupon for Lori's and gives you 4 choices for breakfast which includes a beverage. Unfortunately, the restaurant has food that is bland and is rated #1 in Caldwell on Trip Advisor. Other reviewers seem to like the place, we not so much. As far as the hotel is concerned, we will stay there again when we return this way in the future. The rates are good and the place is well maintained. Just make sure you don;t stay in the room over the laundry.

The Hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The employees are friendly, helpful, very accommodating. (Let us check in at 10 am after disgustedly leaving another one across the street) I have stayed here twice and both times have been great. Good coffee in the lobby. It is a shame that they removed the hot tub, but otherwise wouldn't change a thing.

We were only in town for one night, and decided to stay here because the indoor pool. The indoor pool area was very nice and my kids loved that the water wasn't cold. :) The room was as expected. The beds weren't very comfortable, but for one night it was bearable.

Booked online and had an efficient check-in. The room had 2 queen beds with 4 pillows for the two of us. The room was clean, decent aroma, fridge, microwave, good tv with many analog stations, and wifi that worked well! I liked the anteroom before the bathroom for the coffee machine and bar. The added bonus was 10% off for dinner next door at Lori's Restaurant. The food was home made, delicioys and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was included again at Lori's with 4 choices of combinations that should satisfy any palate and volume! Front desk personnel were all very friendly and helpful.

We were on the road heading to our weekend destination and noticed this Hotel. Walked in, asked to see the Jacuzzi suite and booked the room. 201 was HUGE, had a comfy king bed and a second flatscreen TV in the bathroom with the Jacuzzi tub large enough for 2 and it passed my OCD cleanliness test. They offered a nice heated pool (no whirlpool) that we didn't use, but the pool area was very pretty all done in cedar and dim lighting. For breakfast we were given a voucher for Lori's Family Restaurant next door--Awesome down home cooking in a family setting. Really nice stay for the price. We will look this place up again when we're in the area. A+

It was overall a great stay with great breakfast as we thought it was going to be breads and cereals but it was a full breakfast. The pool was very pretty and we were excited for our daughter to swim for her birthday however, the pool and pool area was very chilly and we were unable to enjoy it.

The hotel is nice and conveniently off the highway. We rented 2 rooms and ask they be connected and they were. The breakfast is not in the hotel. It is at a restaurant that is in front of the hotel. There were only a few options to choose from the vouchers that were received. Coffee and food was good tho but if your in a rush to leave and want a quick breakfast then I would recommend a place that has breakfast included in the hotel. The place was pretty empty on a Thursday morning when we went around 7am and breakfast took almost 40 minutes. Overall it is a nice hotel.

I don't know why I have to give a review. I have already rated this motel. Enjoyed our stay. Note: they have a heated pool also. And boxes by a side entrance for the muddy boots of hunters or construction workers.

I have been coming to this hotel for years for our annual Family Reunion. So have my cousins. We all love the Best Western. The rooms are very nice, as are the the staff. We didn't get to use the pool but I know from past experience it is very nice. Each morning you get comp tickets for the restaurant Lori's next door. Well worth it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and the price is right. I would stay here anytime. Thank you Best Western. See you next year!!

This is a superbly maintained hotel with an outstanding staff! The hotel is super clean and beds are very comfortable. For me and my wife that is a plus. We both have bad backs and it is nice to wake up in the morning with minimal or no back pain. There is a family restaurant in close walking distance too and it is approximately a half a block away from the hotel. The front desk personnel and management are super friendly and ready to assist at all times. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling down I-77. You won't go wrong! Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one.

This was the nicest and cleanest Best Western I ever stayed in.Everything was spic and span clean. Plus, they gave us a ticket to have a free wonderful hot breakfast in the restaurant next door called Lori's. Highly recommend this motel.

This Best Western Hotel was excellent! As with all Best Western hotels, the service was superior. My grandaughter and I really enjoyed the complementary breakfast which we enjoyed at the family restaurant next door to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone, especially those who are visiting The Wilds which is about 30 miles away.

Stayed here two nights with my wife and two young kids for a trip to the Wilds. The location is great- just off the exit from 77. For $75 per night my expectations weren't high, but this hotel was perfect. Everything was clean and nice, and the kids loved the pool. Breakfast vouchers for next-door restaurant Lori's were included with the stay, and we took advantage of that. Lori's is comparable to a Denny's or IHOP, so we saved quite a bit on breakfast for four people for two days. Staff was pleasant and helpful (two ladies split shifts during our stay) and we would absolutely stay again. If you're going to the Wilds, Wolf Run State Park, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the BW as a family so we could go to the wilds without much travel time the day of our tour. Location for proximity to The Wilds was perfect. Though there isn't a ton in Caldwell, OH the hotel was right by Highway 77 and you can get to other places easily and quickly. The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. The pool was quiet and really nice. Rooms were clean. The front desk gives you vouchers for a breakfast at a restaurant next door. The voucher allows you to choose from several options at Lori's all of which were yummy. If we were traveling this way in the future, we'd definitely stay again.

I was on a road trip, and I intended to drive all night when a heavy rain started. I decided to stay at a motel for the night. There were a few chain hotels at the highway exit, and I picked the Best Western Plus. I'm very glad I did! The rate was reasonable and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff made sure to tell me about the included free breakfast at the restaurant next door. There was an indoor pool I didn't use, but it looked nice. There was free coffee in the lobby in the morning.

Friendly staff, clean facilities. Stopped for the night on our way home from vacation. Was a very comfortable bed and a very clean establishment. Would have no problem staying there again if I'm ever traveling through that area.

Great stay- I wish there had been a bathroom fan. Convenient location. Very friendly helpful staff. Indoor pool. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Room was clean and beds were reasonably comfortable. Free WiFi with decent speed. Did not have anywhere to do laundry and no fan bathroom. Room smelled like a previous guest had smoked in our non-smoking room and housekeeping was unable to completely air the room out. Since there was no laundry facility, we hung our toddler's damp clothes to dry before packing them into our laundry bag. Unfortunately, there was also no bathroom fan so between wet clothing, bathing suits from using the pool and showers, our room became very humid. Rain style shower head had plenty of hot water and good water pressure but spray was not concentrated enough, making it a chore to wash and rinse my very thick long hair. There wasn't an adjustment so I ended up sticking my head under the tub faucet. We liked the convenience of the lobby coffee and juice and the choice of in lobby breakfast or using a voucher at the family diner next door.

Breakfast is next door within walking distance. There is a sidewalk to get to the restaurant from hotel. Warning the biscuits and gravy is not sausage gravy like Bob Evans would serve. I believe it was chicken gravy. The eggs, ham and potatoes were yummy. There was juice and coffee in the lobby of hotel. The room and bathroom was clean. The room smelled horrible though. No working fan in bathroom. The room for the pool was warm. Pool water was a little cool but fine once you were in. Pool chemicals were out of balance. It was clean but very cloudy - couldn't see the bottom. Price was reasonable. I was very disappointed to find a girl and guy sleeping on the hotel lobby couch in the morning. I would think staff would have said something instead of letting that go on. I gave a 3 because staff was friendly and willing to help with anything needed.

Mixed review. Main complaints are that the carpet of the hotel room was damp and oily and there was a dirty handprint on the sheets of one bed. We called the front desk to ask for a new room but all other nonsmoking rooms were booked. They did provide us with fresh sheets. The pool room was attractive with wood paneling and big windows. We slept very well on a comfortable bed and the AC worked great. The hotel appeared well maintained and clean aside from the parts of our room mentioned above. Breakfast was pretty unappealing except for the waffles which smelled wonderful. I did not try them but I heard they were good. Sausage links were very dry. Lodging options are limited in the area but would probably try to stay somewhere else in the future.

I was doing a Spartan race so I chose this hotel and was skeptical going in. Most Spartan races are in rural areas and I've had my bad share of hotels. However, this hotel did not disappoint. Lobby was clean, check in was easy, room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. Indoor pool was a plus that was well maintained along with the fitness center. Breakfast was very good too, served hot and fresh. Had many options to provide me the energy needed for the course. Overall great hotel, will not be disappointed.

We were in town for a Spartan race and at check-in, the woman who checked us in greeted us with a goody bag with a little note attached with times for breakfast, pool, etc. and wishing us Spartans good luck on our race. Talk about an amazing first impression. Right off the bat I noticed how well kept the hotel, both inside and out, was kept. Our room was better than expected with modern decor, mini fridge, microwave, and most importantly it was clean, even the rug was spotless. We will certainly be looking to stay with Best Western Plus again.

Great friendly helpful customer service, Very clean and wonderful place to stay and location is close to everything. I will stay here in the future should i need to return on business. The wifi was fast which helps if you are working.

Quiet, clean, efficient with wonderful beds and a great location. The manager remembers us each time we stop here which is every time we travel I77. Warm breakfast included. Always a pleasant experience.

Price was great; facility was average, but good for price. Good pool. Breakfast is voucher for restaurant next door. Staff friendly and efficient. Location right off highway. Truck stop next door for snack food shopping.

I've stayed here before, and it was better than I remembered. Clean, great amenities, wonderful staff. It looked like it had just been re-done. Granite counter-tops, clean remote, very nice and comfortable.

Hotel is a fairly standard Best Western, but is very well maintained. Pool area is very nice and good for families. Close location to country restaurant owned by same family. Most of the guests are young men who work in the oil fields.

Another good stay, we have been coming to this Best western since it was built. Came to visit family in area, staff friendly, short walk to Lori's Restaurant for free breakfast on weekend. Several new motels built in area in last couple of years, we like this for convenience, prices are comparable. We are members of Best Western Rewards program, so earn points for stay.

Nice place to stay but nothing to do in the local area. Probably would not have stayed here except we were visiting family located in the Caldwell area. The overall hotel amenities and friendliness of the hotel staff was very good. Eating facilities in the local area is very limited; only two restaurants, other than fast food, where you could get dinner.

Beautiful place. Very clean and very friendly staff. Our daughter loved the pool. Very nice place, would absolute stay there again. Very good continental breakfast. Easy to find. Right off the highway. Easy access. Would recommend this hotel 100% thank you for such a good experience.

Will stay here again if we are ever in the area. Excellent service. Clean room and fantastic breakfast. Nice place to stay when you are visiting the Wilds. Was able to see some other attractions as well.

We stayed at this hotel because of it's proximity to the WILDS. It was about 1/2 hour to get to the Wilds. It was also not too far from Marietta, Ohio where we went to have a dinner with our tour guide from the Wilds at Austyn's restaurant. Wow! what wonderful food.

My family of 4 stayed here one night while passing through eastern Ohio. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced. The pool was of decent size and we had it all to ourselves. The breakfast arrangement is unique. They have 2 different choices. From 5-7AM they apparently have a breakfast within the lobby area (we weren't up that early). From 7-10AM they give you a voucher to take next door to Lori's restaurant. Once there you have 4 different menu choices to choose from as part of the complimentary breakfast. Different than I had seen before. But it was good and filling.
