Best Western Van Buren Inn

An older best western, but good for one night. Clean. Two stories, no elevator. Lots of chain restaurants within walking distance. Would stay again. Separate entryways. We had 113 which was good for us. Breakfast was standard, but good with tables that were continually cleaned.

My elderly mom and I broke down on I 40 yesterday thank God we were close to the Best Western in Van Buren. The staff is really super sweet and accommodating. Linda went above and beyond th call of duty and provided me with assistance in watching my mom with alzhimers while I picked up the rental. Simon is cool to his friendly demeanor flows through out his staff. Clean room soft beds and great breakfast. From the bottom of my heart thanks Best Western Van Buren.

Went to van Buren to catch train..Train doesn't run on Mondays..decided to visit downtown Van Buren an shop...everything is closed on mondays...drove 8 miles to Alma for lunch an shop. Drove back to hotel in VB .caught train Tuesday at 1230 an enjoyed that..train was 2 hrs late because of 8 freight trains on same track..

Stayed here one night on a cross country trip. Properly is older but room decor has been nicely updated. Clean, fairly large room. Bed OK. Towels thin. Bath tub is old and fairly slippery; could use replacement. Shower rod set too far back and water escapes. Makes quite a mess. Linda was friendly and helpful. Pet people are given first floor rooms in the back which is great.

Our rooms and the property was very clean. We were not aware they had outside entrance to rooms nor that they didn't have an elevator to the 2nd floor. We were told there were no 1st level rooms available, however the 2 rooms we parked in ft of had curtains open and were empty. The breakfast has lacking and you could tell they were overly concerned about people taking too much or sharing with someone who was not staying there.

I stayed with my 3 children on our way to a move across country- it was a very nice place to stay- food & a cool park we're not far away either! Took a picture @ the awesome car museum with "TowMater" from Cars movie!! Then back on the road!

the rooms are dirty, floor, carpet, walls substandard. The front desk was helpful to provided a room, that was not completely disgusting. The door in our first room did not open, the second room was so dirty, food and who knows what was stuck on the carpet and the walls. We got extra sheets to make it comfortable enough to spend the night.

Nothing really stands out for this hotel... very good desk service and clean rooms with good proximity to dining and shopping. The place is a little older and is ready for some refurbishments and upgrades. Has a nice pool and kitchen area and a laundry room.

I stayed at 2 Best Westerns on this trip with one of my great grandsons. He and I were both very comfortable while there. We stayed one night at a competitor and they were more expensive, not as helpful, and not as clean. I will try to always stay at Best Westerns in the future. Rooms are clean, breakfast was smooth and easy and a good selection and staff was friendly and helpful.

Easy access from hwy and several options for dinner. Clean and comfortable for a quick overnights . Front office was very helpful with future summer travel accommodations and offers by best western . Only downside was people staying next to us were very loud and with an adjoining door the sound came through. Not the fault of the hotel just the people traveling and staying in the other room.

Very clean and reasonably priced. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good and sufficient. Made reservations over the phone and lady was very helpful and even gave us the exit to take to get to their location. If travelling again, I would definitely stay there again.

The night clerk was very nice & helpful. Room was OK. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was horrible. Very dry & not much there. Morning clerk shut off dining lights while elderly guests were still eating. 9am sharp. Was made to feel like we were in her way. Would not stay again. Tub drain very slow.

The actual room looked like you were in a 4 star hotel. The outside was a bit older and budget looking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. Hope most of the basic choices. It was easy to find and a perfect overnight stay.

Such filth.. never staying here again. From the spit or ….. on the side of the bedside table to the used condom wrapper and the dried brown stuff or s… on the bed head. I packed up and left. I have been staying here for years but will never again stay. Even the staff look Broken . The afternoon shift guy grilled me for taking some hot chocolate even thou I am a platinum member after years of staying. Pls view pick . Stay at the super 8 as it may be better or better still “keep driving”. So disappointed. Also .. 3 times to fix the keys as the door locks have flat battery's .

Checked into room with 2 pets. Front door looked like it had been pried open prior to our arrival. Door handle only worked some times not ever time to get in or out. Room smelled of pet urine. Room was dark even with all lights on. Area did not feel safe. Thankfully there was a Hampton inn across the parking lot that was wonderful...

1 Friendly staff 2. Good hot breakfast 3 Clean lobby, exercise room, breakfast area (great for studying while hubby is sleeping) 4 Room clean- no offensive smells like the last 3 Holiday Inns we stayed 5 Beds comfortable Will stay here again

Our fault for not being more careful in seeing this place had no elevator and outside doors. People were able to park their vehicles right by the doors. A couple backed their trucks up right close to the building, when they started them up the fumes were pulled right into the room. This place is just a old style motel and although the people who worked there seemed to care, the place is just OLD. They did a good job of keeping the typical breakfast stocked and the area was clean.

First off, I was charged for my small pet which they should have paid us to stay there. Second, there was a strange man wandering around the hotel and knocking on various doors, saying “I am looking for my room.” When we came back from dinner he was still wandering around! Sketchy! Lastly, we were so sick from the foul, musty odor, the loud noise coming from the AC, and the overall worn out room that none of us slept very well. This hotel needs an entire revamp because it cost us 160 for one night and it was terrible!!

We stopped here by chance on our way back to Tennessee from Albuquerque. This hotel was a gem. The rooms were spotless. Linda at the front desk was amazing! She added personal touches that added to the quality of this hotel!

I needed a place to sleep on my way to Tennessee with my cats. Found this hotel tucked away off the highway. My stay was easy, comfortable and just what I needed! Linda at the front desk was wonderful as well!

The rooms were musty but comfortable. It seemed reasonable for the price but the fact that it was a motel and a truck driver spent the night in his cab in the parking lot and stared at me and my children every time we stepped out of our room made us want to leave as soon as we could. On top of that, the hotel was without water when we woke up and that meant no showers or flushing toilets. This was the worst hotel experience of our two week road trip.

Good night stay. Clean and comfortable room on second floor. Big screen TV, micro, coffee maker, mini frig, snd free breakfast. We didn't stay for breakfast even though it looked fine. Linda checked us in and was very nice. Check out was also pleasant, I didn't catch her name.

The staff are excellent. Linda checked us in and went out of her way to accommodate us. Facility is older, but rooms and grounds are clean. Bed is comfortable, pillows could use some improving. Breakfast had many options and was hot.

Third time staying here on my cross country trip and will be staying here every opportunity. The room was clean as always and beds are comfy. The breakfast could use a bit of help but can over look for the the room cleanliness. Great stop with dogs since it has a large patch of grass behind it. Walking distance to places to eat.

Clean room. Decent breakfast. Went to take a shower and NO shower curtain!!! Water everywhere. When we mentioned to front desk. They said they was the curtain after each guest. Must of forgot to put in room. Late at night you take a shower anyway. Nice staff.

The hotel is exceptionally clean. The staff are very nice, and were helpful in suggesting a place for dinner. The water pressure in the shower is the over the top. I'd go back just to take a shower! Extremely affordable.

We would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend this Hotel. The ladies at the front desk were so nice and helpful. The room was clean and enjoyed having breakfast every morning. The coffee was fresh and had verities of items to choose from. The are the Best as far as I'm concerned. Thank u Best Western and thank u Angie and the lady who checked us in the first day.

I was honestly wowed at how clean the hotel was. The rooms did not have a smell like some other surrounds hotels. It was a quiet stay. Great snacks for a late night when everything's closed. Microwave in room!

This is an older property but well maintained and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Located right off the interstate yet it's very quiet and peaceful. Rooms are well lit and furnished. Would definitely stay here again.

During my stay the entire staff were extremely polite and very friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate me. Ms. Linda at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend BWVB Inn if you go to Van Buren

Older hotel but it was very clean. Very accommodating. Had all the needs. Very comfortable beds. Carpet was clean, tile was clean. Shower was older but it was also clean. Only needed 1 night stay, so this worked perfect. We're very satisfied. Would highly recommend. Thanks!!

Travelling cross country to our new home in Tennessee and needed a "Pet Friendly Hotel". The location was very convenient right off the freeway and the accommodations were good. Would not be a top choice if I wasn't in need of pet friendly hotel. Desk person was less than friendly.

We were driving across country and this hotel was a welcoming place. Front desk staff at check-in & check-out were very professional, helpful and friendly. We asked for extra towels & pillows and they quickly obliged us. On check-out we chatted with the gentleman at the desk which I think was the owner and he told us all about the remodel that was done about 4-5 years before. Place has very comfortable rooms

Nice Best Western…clean, convenient to lots of Fast Food place. Only problem, seemed difficult to get to and difficult to get out of. Breakfast was adequate…lady at check in quite efficient. Beds were oomfotable

This location was not up to the standards of the other hotels we used in the BW chain. The check-in was cold and impersonal and the room was not very clean. That if passing through again we will find another hotel.

I dont know why this hotel chain has to give pet owners the crappiest room in the complex but they always put us on the first floor near all the noise and foot traffick. First off, the room smells like dog pee. Someone didnt clean the carpet very well. Thank goodness I brought some Gain fabric spray. The hotel is a little run down. Everything in the room was extremely dusty and old. They made a good effort to try and make it look nice but dont be fooled by the pictures. This place does not uphold the Best Western reputation at all. I cut them a little slack for being in Arkansas..haven't stayed in one decent, clean hotel coming through this state yet! I would have complained and asked to be moved to another room, but there was a line at the desk and I was tired. Im not being a Karen, but if you expect a certain level of quality from Best Western for the price, they should deliver.

The Van Buren BW is very conveniently located right of Interstate 40 and across from Lake Louemma. If you are traveling with pets, this is a great option. There are large fields around the hotel for walking the dog, plus Lake Louemma provides a beautiful place to walk the dog. The rooms are nicely appointed and the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. We travel I-40 between homes in AZ and VA and stay at the Van Buren BW on each trip. It's "BW Dependable."

So this is not the perfect motel but this place is very nice and clean. The rooms are spacious, clean and just what I need. The lobby and breakfast is very good. Brenda at front desk is wonderful and helpful and she must work many hours. Coming with dogs is amazing because there is a huge field behind the hotel. You can walk over to Freddy's next door also and sit on their patio with your dogs for dinner. Things I would change but certainly not complaining is change the air conditioner to one that is quieter and get a dehumidifier for the rooms. You can see the owner cares about his hotel and takes pride in it. This is our second time staying here and will stay again when we come that way. Thank you for a good night sleep.

Everyone was nice and paticent. Any question I needed was answered quickly and politely. Will be staying at this location if I am able to visit the same area. The hotel is also near alot of fast food places, gas stations, and a walmart

This older property is awesome. Owner has pride and the hospitality staff wants everyone to feel welcome. I commend the entire team. Rooms are spacious and have all necessary amenities. Beds are very comfortable and I slept mostly uninterrupted. Shower flow is nice which is very important to me. I hate standing under a trickle of water trying to rinse shampoo from my hair.

Get the Room rate in writing From the online reservation desk. Hotel reception has no power to correct errors in the bill. Check the Room before checking in . No one offered to correct the damp and musty Room. Nor even offered us a change to another space.

Best Western hotels are always superb and this hotel was no exception. well located, great room, superb breakfast and most of all courteous and friendly management. Brenda A. made our stay so much better with her amiable manner. We felt like we were family there and were really sad to leave. We highly recommend this hotel to you.

Front desk associate was great ! He informed me off some rewards that I had failed to register prior to making reservation. Rooms were nice , clean and spacious! Hotel was nice even with the exterior rooms. I will stay here again!

This is my second overnight stay at this motel. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and even got me the info needed for my next stop the following night. I was traveling with my dog and there is a big field behind the motel where he could get some exercise. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance of the motel also.

Traveling across country with 2 dogs and a cat is stressful, especially with 2 cars packed with 2 months worth of goods, all during a pandemic. BW accommodations were perfect for us except no breakfast

This was a night stop on a cross-country trip. The property, though older, is well-maintained and clean. It has obviously been updated sometime in the past. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The noise from the interstate was obvious. The staff was exceptionally friendly and were ready to help in anyway possible. Though an older property the value and comfort of the room makes this a good place to spend the night . . . I would recommend this motel.

Well locatedwith Walmart, Dollar tree and many restaurants within minutes, clean room and helpful front desk. As noted lot's of construction and electric utility workers - young, loud but harmless. Hotels.com messed up my reservation but the manager helped me out - a good guy. They do have coffee and a grab and go breakfast, we had a refridge and microwave in the room.

Loooooottttts of construction workers staying here. I didn't feel the safest here traveling with my family as there were a lot of men outside smoking and giving my kids weird looks. I also didn't appreciate getting woken up at 5:30 am by the guys walking around upstairs and yelling. The room itself was ok. It could've definitely been cleaned better and the sink did not drain properly. The location was close to many places to eat but for $5 more a night, we could've stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street where there weren't any constrution workers. If ever in the area again, I would certainly stay at the Hampton Inn.

While the hotel is beginning to show its age, it was in very good condition and a wonderful stopover. Outside entry rooms are very pet friendly and the staff was very friendly and responsive. We would not hesitate to stay again!

This is the second time that I have stayed at this property, and would probably stay here again. The only issue I had is that the parking lot was full of construction vehicle and if I were to leave early in the morning, I would not be able to do so. The hotel was almost completely booked by a contractor who was working in the area and all of their vehicle had large trailers attached. Luckily I left just as they were leaving. If you need to leave early, you might want to ask the check in person if there is construction people staying there.

We stayed at Best Western in Van Buren AR, lights bulb missing in a lamp, wadded tissue in bottom of ice bucket, heater didn't work right, only 2 pillows on king bed, fridge didn't work.... not so good

First of all I wound up at the wrong location which was quickly rectified by Brenda and James. After that I was checked into my room in Van Buren not Fort Smith! As usual the room was clean, spacious, well maintained and well appointed. The location is unbeatable, right off I 40 with many services close by as well as places to eat. While there is a $20. pet fee, all things considered I would not consider that a reason to pass up staying here if the need ever arose. There is a mall right behind the hotel where anything and everything is available including a Super Walmart.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary (and our small dog). Yes, it's an older hotel but it's nice. Check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The second night we needed a couple of extra towels (only 2 in room) and the lady at the front desk was glad to assist. During these Covid days the breakfast was a grab and go and both mornings the lady was glad to help. A couple of other plus include easy to get to the location, right off the interstate and several close by fast food restaurants. If we come back this way, we know where we plan to stay. I know they would have accommodated but we only had 2 pillows on the king bed. That's not a complaint at all but just letting others know.

The only real thing I can say negative is that they don't have an elevator which sucks when you're carrying heavy suitcases. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable. There was plenty of room in the shower, clean towels, and plenty of toiletries. We had a good sized king room. Breakfast was grab and go but we didn't stop in for it. Staff was friendly.

Clean and freindly staff. No notification that breakfast was not available and also NO notifications that the pool was in fact closed. Would have spent less for my hotel room if this would have been posted online.

Check in was easy, staff very friendly. Downhill from there! Handicapped room had high-sided tub, no walk in shower. Only 2 pillows for king bed, no more allowed per covid rules (?!). Take your own pillows when traveling! Room was not ready for guests...one hand towel, one wash cloth, 2 packs of caffeine-free coffee, no plastic laundry bag...that's it! Anything needed had to be obtained by us from the office. Sheets were very thin, threadbare. Trash was not emptied after first night. Excuse given was that housekeeper had not come in until after 1 pm. We saw someone cleaning vacated room next door at 8 am! Breakfast was breakfast bar and apple and water first day, breakfast bar and small pack of doughnuts and water the next. Even coffee packs were not given with sack breakfasts. If money was refundable, we would not have stayed a second night and never will again!

When we arrived our check in was fantastic. The receptionist was helpful and very friendly. Checkout and breakfast was not as pleasant. Prepared food was cold and there was no one available to speak with at breakfast. The reception area was located next to the breakfast area and during our 30 minute breakfast no one was present at the front desk or in the small office next to the front desk. I would stay again because the room was very comfortable.

We were in room 213 on the second floor. No elevator so we had to hump the luggage up the stairs. Upon arrival the door lock worked randomly - had to insert key 3-4 times before got green light. Then the door stuck and you had to bang into it to get it to open. Entry procedure was: try, try, try the key, get a green light, push the door lever and bang the door open with your knee. Tough when your hands are full with luggage. By morning it had also quit latching when you closed it. No locking the door. The desk person was unconcerned and said it was the battery and he would put it on the list to be fixed. In a better place they would have figured out how long batteries tended to last and replace them before they failed. And the shower did not drain, we were standing in an inch of water after a 5 minute shower. Any housekeeper who washed out the shower would have seen this. Why did I have to be the one to report it?

This hotel is nicely upgraded and the room was very nice. This was by far the worst Best Western breakfast I've experienced. The coffee is less than mediocre, there was no cream cheese and the donuts were beyond stale. Like I said, the room was nice.

The room was OK. The bed was comfortable. We had a double room for 3 adults. When I prepared to take a shower the next morning, I realized we were short on towels. 1 person had taken a shower the night before, since they are a family member I re-used their towel. I learned later, what I thought was a 2nd towel was the bathmat-so, a double room had 1 towel, 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, & a bathmat. The breakfast was not up to par, either. The biscuits were dry and rock-hard on the bottom (obviously left-overs) and the gravy was cold, even though it was in a crock-pot and breakfast had been open for 1 1/2 hours. The sausage was bland. I am not a fussy eater, but I expected more. I ended up eating a bagel and yogurt. I saw a lot of food being thrown away and other customers were saying the same things I observed.

Motel is recently remodeled, looks very nice both inside and out. Pool was exceptionally clean. Braskfast was hot, but normal entries- scrambled eggs. a meat, waffles, cereral and muffins etc. Could use an elevator for us older folks.

Stayed here on our way east from Arizona. It is a pet-friendly hotel and has a very large grassy field behind the hotel which we used to walk our dog. Rooms were pretty clean but could use some additional upgrades such as additional electric plugs/USB ports. Many workers stay at this hotel but they were quiet, respectable and we had no issues with them. There was a handicap room next to ours with a gentleman that would stand outside his door and chain smoke cigarettes and flick the butts all around our car. This wasn't the hotel's fault but it was nasty coming out in the morning to have the butts all around out car. The complimentary breakfast wasn't very good - a lot of frozen, re-heated food. We grabbed a piece of fruit but nothing else looked edible.

What a great Motel! Where to start..... we arrived at the motel and the lobby is just beautiful and clean great start. I reminded them when I walked in that I have two dogs and he said they took care of us. They really did they gave us a room on the first floor in the back and right outside our door is a huge field perfect for dogs. The room was large and very clean. I parked right outside my door so convenient especially with dogs. The breakfast in the morning was a wonderful hot breakfast with biscuits and gravy, eggs, and a sundry of other items. I recommend the sausage it was very tasty. I will be traveling back that way next summer and I will be stopping at this motel. I have two kids also who enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed the laundry facilities. The only thing that could have made this place better was a fenced in dog area on the field. There is also lots of food choices in area. This is the perfect place. Did I mention the great customer service from Simon. Thank you for a greats night rest.

Comfortable and very clean. Bed could have been a little softer but ok. Had plenty of coffee and extra towels. Staff at check in and check out were extremely friendly. We stayed at a different motel night before and Best Western was better.

We traveled to CA from Tennessee for a few weeks and back. We stayed at Best Westerns 6 times. We found them all be to terrific. One in Lusk had made to order omelettes on Sunday's. In the top 10 of all I have ever had. Another one in Sioux Falls offered us an up grade without asking. They were all clean and inviting. All members were very friendly. Wifi wa great in all of them.

This was a pleasant experience for us. Everything was great. We had our dog with us for his first road trip and he was cool with everything. The gym was clean and equipment was very good. Our room was nice. The day manager, was super awesome and very helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the internet. Dealing with networks is kind of my thing,so when more guests arrive and log-on to the network, it renders it relatively useless, unless you want to keep rebooting your devices. An upgrade to the routers with proper distribution when having heavy use would fix it. Other than that, it was great.

We were in the process of moving from Virginia to Arizona as a family. We were trying to find a hotel that was affordable but also not completely nasty. Best Western exceeded our expectations. The room was very classy and made us feel like we paid way more for it. Also great sausage gravy for breakfast... best place we stopped the whole trip!

Pros - Comfortable beds. Breakfast had biscuits, gravy, waffles, scrambled eggs, yogurt, milk, juice, and more. The people at the front desk were friendly. Cons - Exterior rooms. No elevator. Upon entering the room, we noticed a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. Even spraying half a bottle of febreeze didn't do much. There was also a good sized puddle of water on the floor that was odd. The price of the room seemed high for the quality we received.

I hate to give negative reviews for anyone, and I feel that our choice to stay here was partly my fault. Because the hotel is older and not equipped with an elevator, they have made the lower floor for handicapped guests. Because of the great location, I chose this hotel. My husband is definitely handicapped with a bad back and uses a cane, but he is not in a wheelchair. I found the room to be very difficult for me to navigate. The bathroom is the main problem. I wear contacts, and I have to have a washcloth to put them on in order to clean them, etc., plus I need room for makeup, cleansers, hairspray, etc., etc. (I bring my own hair dryer). The room is equipped with a pedestal sink, which means that there is nowhere for me to work on my contacts. I had to carry a towel to the bed and go back and forth. Also the sink slants outward, so that if it overflows, the water will all on end up on the floor, as the overflow drain is higher than the lip of the sink. The soap kept sliding down to the sink as well. In addition, if one is truly handicapped in a wheelchair, the bath is very difficult, as there is no shower. One must hoist a chair over the tub and try to climb in. That was not a problem for us, as we did not need the chair, but it would be huge for some. Also, the clothes rack was not usable as even a pair of jeans folded over on the hanger hit the floor. The final straw was when I pulled the covers back to go to bed, and a spider crawled out from under the pillow. I have never had that happen in a hotel in my life. The next morning, we found breakfast in a dark corner of the office area. It is very small, so if there is a crowd, there will not be much room. All in all, this may be a good choice for some. It just wasn't for us, and we won't be back.

On our way home, I was trying to find a hotel to stay at in the Fort Smith area. Van Buren is the only place just inside the state line that offers hotels just off the interstate. On our way, I did some research online to decide where to spend the night. The Best Western on their website listed a King size room as being $69 while the Hampton Inn, located just behind them, as $110. So we decided to try out the Best Western being as it was more or less a stop and go location. Plus, the reviews online were good for this location. We drove up and the hotel was clean and the parking was well-lit, which is one thing I look for in a place to spend the night. I stayed in the car while my husband went into to get a room. He comes out later to tell me that the room was actually $15 more than what was listed online. When we made it into our room, I went back online and saw that yes, the prices were listed for our room as being $69. Because of the lateness of the hour and being as we had already agreed to the other price, I decided to let it go. However, it definitely makes a difference with me staying at this location in the future. Or, if anything, I should have booked online while sitting in the lobby of the hotel to get the prices for the hotel. That is the one thing about this hotel that bothered me the most. Such a price discrepancy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was a flickering light in the room once we turned off the lights, and ended up having to unplug the hairdryer. The clerk that checked us in was friendly and accommodating. However, the morning clerk we never saw. We went to the front desk to turn in our keys and despite standing there for a moment of two, decided to just leave them on the desk. Just thought it was odd not to receive a greeting of some sort for the morning departure. Every other hotel we have visited, we received some sort of goodbye or customer service. Breakfast was okay, just your typical standard continental affair. Coffee was Folgers and we ended up going across the street to McDonald's to get coffee. I would have been willing to get my $15 back by not having breakfast. All in all, I'm not sure if I would stay at this Best Western again. There were just a few little things that bothered me. On the flip side, the room was comfortable, clean and we slept well.

Conveniently located right off interstate 40, but for the low rate I was really surprised at the quality of the room. Nicely decorated, and a very comfortable bed. Hot breakfast was extensive and yummy!

This is a very nice Clean and quite hotel. There are several restaurants close to this hotel. The staff is very good and helpful as they go out of their way to help in anyway they can. The breakfast is very good and starts at 6:00 am which is good for a business traveler. Ever time I come to this area of Arkansas I stay at this hotel.

BW Van Buren is one of the best hotels and I have ever stayed at. Friendly staff that is always very friendly and helpful. Nice clean rooms and a great breakfast. I/we always choose this BW when needing to stay in the area.

Older motel kept in great shape. Good internet, and a great price. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. I have nothing els to say about it, but you know that Trip Advisor requires it, so here you go.

Dont stay here! This is the dirtiest place I have ever seen! Room had not been cleaned in a very long time! Cobwebs in all corners with spiders. Tub filthy. Towels looked like someone had wiped their butt with them and left them for us to use. Sink didn't drain. Shower handle broken and you either had to take a freezing cold shower or a scalding hot shower. Heating and air unit was very loud. Sheets were stained.

Conveniently located just off interstate. Friendly and efficient staff at check-in. Clean and inviting entrance. Reasonable rates. Room was very clean with comfortable bed. Pillows could have been a bit better. Decent breakfast bar.

It was okay. They have done a good job of remodeling an old hotel with updated furnishings; however, it still had the feel of an old motel. The service is good. We didn't go to breakfast so I can't review that.

I really enjoyed that our dry was so simple here! Especially since we were going to be busy with the wedding we were attending. The gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful when we asked for extra pillows!

Our room seemed clean, but we found some pistachios in the floor next to the bed that had been eaten on. The bed was comfortable, however our room ac was a bit louder than normal. Overall it was ok and they have breakfast. My biggest concern is they have no elevator for second level rooms. We were traveling with my parents wh are older and it's extremely hard for them to carry luggage up flights of steps.

We stayed 4 nights around Labor Day for a motorcycle trip. Such a friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were quite comfortable and very clean. Decent breakfast bar in the morning, and a clean refreshing pool. Very affordable and convenient right off of I 40. Traffic was pretty heavy and a little congested trying to exit the hotel...but a great stay nonetheless!

After driving all day, we stopped in here and was greeted by the sweetest staff. They were very accommodating and the rooms were very clean. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.

This hotel is older with dated furniture and decor, but it is an outstanding place to stay. It is cleaner then many I have stayed in and very friendly staff. Only problem is trying to leave hotel exiting onto a busy street. Not enough of an issue to fore go this hotel. Great place.

Good hotel . Nice breakfast although the breakfast area is very very small. Clean rooms. Quiet. I did not like though that there was no elevator to second floor - for me that was ok but if senior - you have to carry up your luggage. VERY handy to downtown Van Buren

When we got there no one was in the lobby so we had to wait. Then about 2:30 AM we had a man open our door to our room and if the chain had not been on the door he would have came in. This was a very stressful stay at this location I would not recommend it.

For whatever reason Fort Smith and Van Buren were hopping last night when I tried to stop, and both the Super 8 and Sleep Inn were booked. I'd been on the road for 12 hours so I stopped here, knowing I'd pay too much. With tax on a Friday night it came to $115. Super nice room and Keith at the front desk was very kind and helpful, as was the woman after him on shift. The room was 95 bucks. Twenty bucks for tax on a hotel room seems pretty damn excessive!!

The hotel was clean and looked nice. The biggest issue is the noise of the A/C woke me every time it kicked on. It worked well for a quick stop to get some sleep on a road trip. All the amenities were very nice and served their purpose.

Very friendly staff, comfortable room, and the check-in clerk even called us after we got settled, to make sure everything was up to par. The pool was very refreshing after a long day on the road. The only downside is that most of the restaurants within walking distance are fast food, and it was hot outside, so we had to drive. The breakfast in the morning was good, though while eating we watched as the wind whipped up and a storm-front moved in.

Stayed here on the way to a 100th bday party in Knoxville. Staff was friendly, and even called us in the room a little after check in to make sure the room was okay, and if we needed anything. If you need a place to stay the night while traveling, nothing wrong with this place.

2yrs ago we stayed at another hotel in Van Buren, AR. The BW is by far a better value. Angie was so pleasant and helpful. She recommended a restaurant within walking distance that served vegetarian options. Thanks so much Angie for making our stay so enjoyable.

This place was very surly. I reserved a room for one night. I was unable to make that trip and called to cancel. While I was on the phone they charged my card (which wasn't how I planned to actually pay) and said I had reserved an advanced pay room which wasn't mentioned on any of my confirmations. On top of that they gave a 1 hour window to check in (which was also not on the confirmation). I will never stay at best western again. Very upset with this.

Nice, quiet hotel. Will stay here again the next time I am in town. PROS: 1. Close to the interstate, restaurants, and a Wal-mart. Why do I list Walmart? I always forget something and having the convenience of a Wal-mart is useful. 2. Quiet, clean and comfortable. 3. Good wifi. 4. Friendly staff on late check in and on check out. 5. Nice breakfast. CONS: 1. Outside room access. Only a negative for some. 2. I had a little bit of a hard finding the hotel at first. My GPS didn't recognize the access road. 3. Limited parking on the back side of the hotel.

The exterior looked nice, but the bones weren't worth it! Bad bed, loud heat/cool system; thin walls and no cold water from the tap. Lukewarm drinking water is more irritating than you might initially imagine.....

As most every Best Western hotel I've stayed at this too was an overall good experience. The staff at check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Slept like a rock. Nice and quiet. I continue to be a very satisfied rewards member.

I travel a lot for business and stay at a myriad of hotels including BW. My past experience with BW hotels had been generally good. Staff appeared OK at first, until the issue of my forgetting my phone charger came up. Talked to 3 different staff (one american, 2 Indian immigrants) about it. They agreed to ship it, but NONE of them mentioned shipping charges. Then they charged my credit card $4.95 UNAUTHORIZED by me. Filing a dispute with the credit card. One of them (has an adopted American name of Simon) was extremely rude and yelling. Not fit to be in hospitality industry. Although it was funny how he was putting up an artificial Americanized accent, and using English language idioms wrongly. Maybe they work hard to maximize profits, but fail badly at politeness. Will NEVER stay at a BW again, and advise all my contacts similarly.

Very nice Best Western. You always know you are going to get a nice room, good breakfast, friendly service and easy access to internet at a fair price at Best Western. We will stay here again. Easy access to freeway.

Stayed in Van Buren with our motorcycle group to attend Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville. Great place to stay. Clean room, great breakfast, and plenty of parking for my truck and trailer while we rode. Plenty of restaurants and stores around. Starbucks and Walmart were within walking distance. Just off the highway with easy access. Definitely recommend this place.

This hotel is set up like a motel whereas it has outdoor entrances to your room. The rooms are nothing fancy but are clean. The fan in the bathroom was noisy but other then that it was comfortable. There are restaurants directly next to the hotel and a shopping plaza so if you need anything it's right there. There is a big field behind the hotel which is a great place to let your dog stretch their legs and relieve themselves. The staff was very friendly. I saw Jennifer, one of the front desk employees, in the evening and again the next morning. She's friendly in the AM and PM so big ups to her because I'm not sure if she even went home to sleep lol Judy was also working the front desk and I loved her perky approach to life! I got the managers name, Simon, so I hope he sees this review. Simon, your staff is awesome and this is my second time staying at your hotel. Keep up the good work! Happy New Year!!

After a particularly horrible experience at the Quality Inn in nearby Alma, I checked into this BW hotel. It looks cute and modest on the outside, but inside the rooms are so nice!! Nice decor, amazingly clean, new TV w/ great channels, fast wifi, appliances, comfy, comfy bed!! and lots of furniture. Big bathroom. Now let's talk about the staff. Absolutely the best customer service experience I've ever had at a hotel in my life. Better than the win hotels in Vegas. These people are so sweet and helpful and caring. Genuine amazing service. I wish I could remember all of their names, but Judy was the first who checked me in and was the sweetest woman I've ever met in my life. Not joking, she's a gem. I would gladly adopt her as my grandmother. This hotel is also located close by a Walmart, a Braums, and a ton of other dining and shopping options. If you're stopping off the highway or on a business trip, this is definitely the place to stay. They have a 24 Hour Business Center, Gym, and a pool for the summer. I'm a fan!

Just another Best Western. Yes, the bed was comfy. Yes, it is conveniently located. Yes, the cost included the usual Best Western breakfast. There is nothing out of the ordinary to mention. I don't have anything bad to say but this stay was unmemorable.

This was one of the better stays I've had with Best Western. It started when I drove up (trying to find the correct driveway off the "main" road was a little tricky as Best Western sits back away from the road). Once at the hotel I was warmly greeted by Jennifer and she was very efficient in checking me in. She was very helpful in providing information on restaurants and other store types that I wanted to visit. About one hour after checking in to the hotel Jennifer called to follow-up and ensure I was satisfied with the room and if there was anything else BW could do to make my stay more comfortable. The room itself had a seating area and was somewhat spacious. The bathroom, however, was somewhat cramped for my taste. I did not have any breakfast so I can not rate that part of my stay. Overall a wonderful experience.

Clean rooms, very comfortable beds, close to the interstate. Friendly staff, hot breakfast. Great for a one night stay while traveling. Price is great compared to other local chain hotels. Outside is a little dated, but inside very comfortable and kept up.

Great Nights rest at VAN BUREN BEST WESTERN, lovely rooms, great hot breakfast with multiple choices, nice employees that informs of all monthly promotions and BWR promotions. Pet friendly. Rooms are clean and quiet.

A great motel close to the freeway with outside room doors that face the parking lot to allow unloading of your car next to the room. There large grass fields at the rear of the motel to allow your dog a place to run. The staff was professional and Jennifer (front desk) told us that we had enough points to have a free nights stay when we checked us in! The rooms were clean and the motel was well maintained. I learned that Best Western motels are inspected by Best Western and are constantly updated to be competitive with the market. The location gives you good option to stop midway between Oklahoma City and Little Rock. I would stay again.

Nice local hotel close to Van Buren Scenic Railroad and the quaint downtown shopping. Desk clerk was very helpful in clearing up a problem with the bill. Enjoyed a nice breakfast with a good selection.

What a surprise, Friendly Staff, Friendly Owners, Supper Clean Rooms. Great breakfast, Great WIFI. I normally hate hotels but this is a great place, would put them up against any 3 star hotel in the country and most 4 star.

Staff very courteous, efficient and attentive. We had a large group of motorcyclists and they were accommodating to our needs. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Accommodated my need for a room on the lower level so I could avoid taking the stairs. Close to restaurants. Colton's Steak House & Grill was awesome after a long day of riding in the Ozarks.

Driving through the area on a long trip, hotel is close to Walmart, gas, and restaurants. Situated in a dry county, pleasantly surprised to find the Chilis restaurant across the parking lot had a full bar. Nothing too fancy hotel-wise, but the breakfast was hot and a lot. Dependable Best Western Quality motel.

My wife and I have traveled to all 50 States together. We've decided not to have a travel trailer. It's just as cost efficient to stay in hotels on our travels. Best Western gives us the comfort of knowing no matter where we travel our stay with them will be a good one.

I have found for the most part that Best Westerns are a great place To stay. Sure I can fine cheaper but everyone knows what that gets you. BW has always given me a clean room, comfortable bed, good hot breakfast and a great staff.

We were treated courtisely especially when our reservation was at another BW several miles away. Simon the manager contacted the other BW and cancelled our reservation there and matched the cost for the room

Check in was easy. We forgot our pillows and they were very helpful in returning them to us. They made sure we were close to the rest of our party. It stormed that night and we were able to park our motorcycles under the drive to stay dry.

Stopped here after a day of hiking based on value and Trip Advisor reviews. We have stayed at Best Western several times in the past and have found no consistency of quality. The room had a good location next to the pool that has been closed for the season, but there was a smoking urn just outside and cigarette smoke was sucked into the air conditioning. There was also mildew in the bathroom. Breakfast was fair.

I've stayed at this hotel twice in a few years span and have never been disappointed. It's always clean and comfortable and the staff is always great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay there again and again!

Very good staff,great location to food, room spacious, do need to figure out the tv location my wife tripped on the table several times as it is very close to the bed. Overall we will stay here again when we're in Memphis

I was at this hotel en route from Nashville to OKC. Arrived late, left before breakfast. Staff was helpful, even gracious in re-making key card for me after I locked myself out. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Easy access to the interstate, but seemed pretty quiet to me.

The staff at BW Van Buren, AR, were some of the most accomodating and professional I have encountered at any hotel. The facility was very clean and in very good repair. The breakfast was hot and fresh and also had a good variety of choices. I look forward to staying with them again.

This is a older Hotel but, very well matained. The room was very clean and comfortable. there were many well known restruants close to the hotel. The room was very quite and the Breakfast was very good with a large selection.

Very disappointed in Best Western! The staff, mainly morning staff, was extremely rude. I could not even get a final bill, because the staff rudely told me she was too busy. The complimentary breakfast was put away a half hour early.

Was on a travel event to see some old friends and try and get some medical records. The room was very clean and the bed was fantastic. Hotel had a Good location. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. only problem was the air cond rattled when the compressor kicked in a little too much, I got use to like a fan running which I like but some would not. I think they will get it fixed...

Stayed here May of 2016, enjoyed it so I returned there again. I was pleased to see that Dustin was working the front desk. He is a credit to the management. He went our of his way to make us feel welcome and was helpful in helping us find arrangements for the next night. The rooms were clean and well maintained. In spite of the proximity of the interstate the room was quiet all through the night. The breakfast was good and also plentiful.

Although the desk clerk at check-in could not have been any nicer, the rooms really needed to be checked out before new guest were placed in the room we had. TV remote did not work and the bathroom vent did not work. A/C did not keep the room cool, even at 60 degrees. Breakfast was right out of the refrigerator. And to top it off, no rewards at this BW. Sorry for the bad review, because we love BW. Hope this will make a difference for the next guest.

My recent visit at this hotel was the worst ever. The staff was very rude and did nothing to correct the issues I was having. For the money, I expected better. You're better off staying at Holiday Inn or Sleep Inn across the highway. Same price, double the hospitality. Cleaner and more comfortable.

The Van Buren Best Western is one of the best hotels we have stayed at during our trips across the country. They are welcoming, friendly, and accommodate pets. This hotel had one of the best breakfasts of the hotels we have used, and the most attractive and welcoming hotel rooms.

Long road trip moving cross country, this was best stay of the trip. Nice staff, great room, right of I-40. Good area with lots of choices for food and shopping. Shower was awesome, good water pressure, room very clean, laundry facilities with new machines right next to pool.

This is a very comfortable hotel. It is pleasantly decorated, the rooms are well proportioned and very clean. We had a restful stay on our stop over - highly recommended. There was easy and safe egress and exit to the handicapped room and a wonderful accessible bathroom.

This place is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of dining options within walking distance. They do charge extra per dog (I brought two) but there are many green areas to walk them including a huge field behind the hotel. Staff is friendly too. Pool looked inviting. I give it a thumbs way up for a weary traveler stopping off I-40.

While looking at hotel from the outside it seems pretty average but once you walk inside it tells another story..... The lobby and dining area are really nice but the best part are the rooms, super clean and all up to date amenities! The staff was really friendly as well so my stay was enjoyable!

We stayed in Van Buren for 4 days while visiting family. The motel staff was very friendly, the rooms were comfortable, the bed was very comfortable with 2 types of pillows, huge TV and a nice shower, what more can you ask for. Ahh, breakfast - they had pancakes, waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bisquits, gravy, fresh fruit, breads, danishes etc etc etc. All was good and the items were well stocked. We highly recommend the Best Western in Van Buren

Worth the price! Great breakfast. For our family of five, the breakfast was worth half of the cost of the hotel stay. We easily pay 50 eating out. It tastes good too! Usually hard pressed to find hotels with a nice breakfast. This is why I will always be a best western rewards member and seek them out over every other hotel.

When we got in our room we noticed a smell. Then when I went to pull the covers back there was a spider. I killed it and thought "not good". Then went to the bathroom and there was another one in the tub. I called the front desk and said I think we may need another room. The nice gentleman brought another key for 5 rooms down. We inspected the next room and saw a spider right off the bat. We said ok I guess we will just keep our room since the other one has spiders too. Needless to say if you see one or two you know there are a lot more. The attendant was very nice and brought us two cans of RAID! The other motel next door was booked so we had no choice. It gets better!! We did not sleep in fear of getting bit by a spider. The manager the next morning said " oh we will take care of you and discount your bill". They discounted the bill to 93.50 and gave me 500 points. We were quoted $97 when I booked the room. Wow a $3.50 discount for no sleep, spiders and a room that stinks. I wish I would have taken a picture of the Raid we were given. True story on 7/13/17. Do not stay here.

Convenient to many places to dine. We left the car at the hotel and walked to a nearby restaurant. The woman that checked us in was very helpful and put us in a room downstairs so we didn't need to climb the stairs :)

We had been driving in storms for several hours, and it was so great to get there, have a friendly and helpful staff. The beds were comfortable, nice size room and the breakfast was good. Just wasn't there long enough to say more about it.

BW Van Buren was great, conveniently located right off the highway, friendly and polite hotel staff who accomadated our late check in without any problems. Entire hotel was clean, laundry facilities were great, breakfast was awesome. Don't have one complaint about this place.

I had room 100. Perfect for me. Great room, pool was clean and lots of patio seating & lounge chairs, nice fitness room, large breakfast choices and friendly staff. It may seem pricey to stay here but it's worth it. I may stay here on the return trip. It's immediately off I-40. It really is. Exit, go to the end of the ramp. Make a right and a quick right and you're there.

This was the last night before going home and everything was great! It was very easy to get off the highway and back on. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable and, the staff was excellentWe will stay there again.

The BW-Van Buren Inn is relatively new construction and well maintained. It is easily accessed with out the traffic of Fort Smith. We were headed to the southwest and this was our first night on the road -- a good start.

The hotel was very nice and clean we came in at about 8:00pm tired from driving all day and really appreciated a smiling face when we walked thru the door. Keep up the great work!!!!and we will be using this hotel again and again.

Clean and comfortable first floor location. Manager young and very helpful. Wish most hotels had this kind of personnel. Certainly will stay here if in area again. The room rate was very good. Also located very close to I-40.

the Manager is one of the most helpful that I have seen on all my travels. I think it is a great place, especially with a large group like our youth travel ball team. The employees were great as well.

When we checked in exhausted, the gentleman at front desk was so helpful. He went out of his way to get me hooked up on WiFi. The breakfast was super - biscuits and gravy and almost anything you could want. The front desk people and those serving breakfast in morning were also super nice. They had place decorated all patriotic for Memorial Day Weekend. We will be back to this hotel

Conveniently located off I-40. Nothing outstanding in particular, just a decent-sized room with a nice bathroom, hot shower, HD TV, microwave and fridge. Their hot breakfast offers some decent choices. If I was ever back here, I'd stay again.

The environment was very nice, rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice plenty of places to eat around you. The pool was not up and running when I was there. I would stay again and they do give military discounts.

A few years ago en route from Santa Fe to Memphis we made the mistake of booking a hotel room in Fort Smith, thinking it would be a convenient stop along the way. This is not meant as a knock on Fort Smith, because it appears to be a very nice little city, but it is NOT right on I-40. Van Buren, however, is, and is an excellent choice for a good night's sleep. We got a reasonable rate at the Best Western and found it to be clean, nicely remodeled, and right off the interstate. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful as we were initially unable to get into our room. She went up with us and eventually figured out that the door lock had been installed upside down.

Neat, clean, comfortable room to rest up for another long day behind to wheel. Great breakfast and easy checkout. We did not know what type of place we would be staying but where very surprised. Only downside what exterior doors. We were on the second door and only woke once because the do not disturb sign was flapping in the wind.

It was a nice hotel, the room was clean. The bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but the room in general was clean and nice. I wish hotels cared about their customers enough for healthier foods with multi grains and less sugar, but it did have a hot meal which was okay. (The meat was very over done and cheap) The bonus to this hotel was downtown Van Buren. It had very special shops with very nice people. The town is about 5 minutes away. It was fun to walk up and down the main street! The hotel is close to the Arkansas river which is also about 5 miles from a park where you park free and can sit right next to the river. Bring a chair. The sounds of the wind and river were very relaxing. Lee Creek Park! Also a great place for a walk! I would stay there again.

This is a convenient motel off I-40 north of Little Rock. It has been totally remodeled in the past couple years and looks great. It is clean and with large rooms. Service is quite efficient and the breakfast service convenient with good selection. The rooms are reminiscent of older facilities because we accessed from the outside, but that wasn't a problem for us.

Always stay there. Staff is always helpful and kind. Quick check in. Always have to leave before the breakfast is served however I'm sure it's great for the cost to stay there. So I've run out of stuff to say....

We were very happy with our stay, the room was very clean and well decorated. The staff was exceptional with any need you we had. Check in was swift and easy. We will recommend this hotel to everyone going to Van Buren and we will definitely stay there again. I wish some of the other Best Westerns we have stayed at would take lessons from this on.

Nothing special. No frills. Just a simple roadside hotel with an easy off/back on the interstate. Room seemed stale. Tub in bathroom not really clean. Otherwise okay. TV worked. Comfortable bed although the pillows were way too big. Fought with them to get comfortable.

Convenient location to I-40, Good restaurants & Gas stations close by. Room was very clean and comfortable, staff was very friendly, check-in was quick. Good continental breakfast included. Indoor pool & Fitness room. Only con for us was..Just missing a Hot Tub.

Staff is pleasant and helpful. Morning lady has gone out of her way to decorate for the season and very nice. Food good. Rooms are stand hotel. Couple of nice places to eat close. Pool takes up some parking spaces, so you might not get to park close to you door if on ground level.

We stayed here on our way east from spending the winter in Arizona. We had made prior reservations and our request was met. We were greeted in a friendly manner and given a room on the ground floor as requested. The room was clean smelling, neat and everything worked and was in order. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's rest. The breakfast area was small but compact with all the normal offereings. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

This newly renovate BW is wonderful with cushiony beds and modern décor. Excellent breakfast, large lot behind hotel for dogs to romp It would be nice for there to be a sign for the hotel at N6th as the long driveway is misleading. Excellent breakfast & veryfriendly

11/13/16, Our stay should have been good, but the dried urine on the floor around the toilet made it a poor on the ratings. The room was up to date for a standard overnight stay. But when my husband commented that his shoes were sticking to the floor, that's when I noticed the dried urine around the toilet. I assume when the floor was mopped, a poor job was done with a dirty mop that spread the urine over all the tiled floor surface.

I love Dogs , But I don't like to have breakfast with them, and they need to limit which rooms dogs are in ,cause I don't like to sleep with my dog either. Other wise nice motel very clean , have friendly staff

We pulled into town at midnight, and had no trouble checking in. Our room was clean and spacious with plenty of outlets for our electrical gear. For a Tuesday night, the place was hopping. We could see several arrivals checking in as we unloaded our things into our room. It was busy ... there were many others coming in after we checked in.

We stayed here for one night just passing through town because we are relocating. My husband and I were both very pleased with this Best Western. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly, we had a great breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay here again. The only issue we had was finding parking because we had a U-Haul trailer in tow. Van Buren is a little bit cheaper than Fort Smith to stay the night and it is very close to Fort Smith for anyone looking to save a few extra dollars while traveling through the area

Good place off I-40. The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable and very quiet. The rooms could be updated, but for the price and convenience it's more than worth it. The breakfast was good and plenty of room for lots of people. Staff was friendly at both check in and out. I would highly recommend this hotel

I stayed at this inn twice on this trip, once on the way out, and then my return. Both times found the staff very helpful in recommendations in food, and how to get around the area. The room was clean and neat, everything worked fine, would stay here again.

We chose this hotel because it was the closest property that had availability. The exterior entrances actually worked out well for us, as we had two bicycles that we needed to bring into the room at night. The rooms were nice, but the overall property felt a bit worn out.

We have stayed here several times and it is always very clean with friendly staff. We like that it is off I-40 and lots of restaurants you can walk to, banks and a strip shopping center. They redid the breakfast room and has plenty of room and has plenty of choices.

Spent a night on the road here recently in an ADA accessible room. The room itself was not bad--there was a king bed, an arm chair with ottoman and a desk. A clothes rack was placed low enough on the wall for easy access. I had a miserable night, however. The bed was too tall for me to get into easily and the pillows all were hard and oversized. There were four of them and none worked for either my husband or myself. The mattress was also on the "extra-firm" side which is tough on my arthritis. Any time I had to get out of bed, I faced the challenge of getting back in due to the height. At one point, I tried sitting up in the arm chair and slept there for awhile. The shower was not a roll in but the narrow lip served no useful purpose as water still flooded the room, which did not have a drain in it. The two skimpy towels--and no bath mat--meant that after a shower the room was hard to get around in. There was also no place low enough for a disabled person to put soap and shampoo in the shower--the dish was up high. Breakfast was pretty standard and they had coffee out all day. There are no interior hallways here--parking is near your door. This is not as secure, but it is also a lot easier to load a car. The price was also good and service was very good and very friendly. Everything looked clean and climate control in the room was adequate--a bit on the noisy side but ok. We would probably not stay here again due to the uncomfortable bed, but if you like a very firm bed and firm pillows, and you want a clean place for the night, this would work.

It was late and I was tired of driving. My Garmin showed a Best Western at the Van Buren exit and I'm glad i decided to try it. The night clerk at check in was friendly and reminded me of the 6AM breakfast, saying it was a good one. The room was standard for A Best Western, basic and clean. They have 24 coffee in the lobby which you will not always find in mid sized hotels. The lady who prepares the breakfast buffet does a wonderful job. Biscuits and gravy were delicious. I wish I would have gotten her name as she was such a friendly and efficient person. Manager, I was there on 9/22/16, please give her a pat on the shoulder for me.

Stayed here as a stop during a road trip and was very pleased with everything. This is motel near the interstate with high traffic, but the person at the front desk took the time to be courteous and tell us about the immediate area. Our room had a king bed, a mini fridge, a microwave, and a nice tv. The sheets were very clean and the room smelled pretty good. The shower curtain looked a little older; maybe time to replace it soon. But, it too was freshly laundered and I had no problems. The shower had plenty of hot water and the shampoo provided was actually decent. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with biscuits, sausage, eggs, breads, fruit and more. It is very dog friendly and they had no issues with our 70-lb labrador. There's even a large green area to walk your dog behind the building - very convenient and refreshing. Our dog loved it. For its class, this is a fantastic place to stay. It is excellently managed and is a wonderful value for its price.

If you are travelling the I40 and are looking for a place to stay then this is for you. Its a little hidden gem in a small town right off the I40. Nice quiet place with good rooms, free wi-fi, and nice breakfast in the morning. If you want a great meal in a great atmosphere then drive up the road to Big Jake's steakhouse the food was fantastic the service great and the price was good, combine that with the atmosphere and you have a great night.

This hotel is very basic but clean. The best feature is the abundance of green space for pets. Not only does the hotel have at least half an acre of green space behind the hotel, there are 2 other lots of the same size or bigger adjacent to that lot.

We stopped late evening to let my elderly father get some rest, in the process or checking in to a different place, he fell in the parking lot.. This might not have occurred if the person at the other facility had given us her total attention. After the fall, I walked to your facility where I was greeted quickly, given full attention, and after the clerk heard what had happened to my dad, he expedited getting us to adjoining rooms with ADA facilities. We were very pleased with his quick attention.

The towels and hair conditioner needs improving. My towel was scratchy and the ends were unraveling. The conditioner was runny and really did nothing. The egg patties and the way they cook the sausage in liquid definitely needs improving. Kitchen was not as well stocked as most Best Westerns.

We were traveling across country on a move with our dog. That limits where we are going to stay, both the dog part and the fact that all we really needed was a place to decompress after a day of driving and get a good night sleep. The Best Western in Van Buren greatly surpassed those needs. The rooms have been well kept up and looked recently redone. The location is excellent (see my review of Frank's restaurant, right across the parking lot). Beds were comfortable, the place has no "motel aroma," and the staff was very friendly. The dog loved the fields behind the hotel and the park across the road. When we left, we wanted to take this place with us for our next stops on the trip. Excellent experience, and certainly unexpected at this price point.

With all of the competition in hotels nowadays, I make an effort to stay at Best Westerns. While some fall a little short of being perfect, they all tend to be safe, clean, and affordable. This one exceeded all expectations.

We arrived at the hotel after a 8 hour drive quite tired . The very friendly check in process is exactly what we needed. The king room was somewhat dated, but the room was in great shape, and the bed quite comfortable. The free breakfast was standard Best Western, and was as good as usual. The person at the front desk for check out was also quite nice and friendly. It is obvious that the owner/manager of this Best Western instill culture of customer service. We would be happy to stay here if in the area again. There are tons of places to eat, and stores very nearby if needed.

The best I've seen in a Best Western and the price is great too. I highly recommend this one. It looks as though it has been recently remodeled and is in excellent condition. Very friendly staff and I was allowed to park my motorcycle under the lobby porch roof.

My wife, i and my 17 year old son stayed here 3 nights on family business, the rooms were clean and fresh, the front staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was served from 6 am to 9 am, the breakfast selection was large and the tastiest, nice to get up ,get coffee, eat breakfast and be on your way, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here

Did not meet my expectations for Best Western. The breakfast was not fresh and less than desirable. The rooms (x2) appeared clean superficially, but were not. Ceiling had leak spots in several places. The beds were not comfortable.

The hotel is older, but the interior has been updated. The lobby is modern and the rooms have updated furniture and amenities. The TV was large with a good selection of channels. Free wireless internet is available. The breakfast buffet was good. Very quiet, no noise from outside or next door.

It appears the rooms were recently remodeled...ours was excellent. Nice beds, close to the interstate, and good restaurants nearby. Great place to stop for a respite on a road trip...highly recommend it! The breakfast area is a bit small but big enough to accommodate the folks that were there when we stayed.

I stay at this hotel several times a year on business. They have always been friendly and have recently completed a remodel project on all the rooms. This a an extremely clean place to stay. I enjoy it every time I have the opportunity to stay with them.

After not being able to find a "choice hotel" in the area we were traveling to we wound up staying here. It was clean and comfortable and convenient to the interstate 40. Needed an accessible room. When no parking available near room we were moved to another room immediately with convenient. parking for handicapped.

This was our fourth one night stay in Best Western on this trip.,Our first trip to Arkansas! Though the hotel was full of teenagers and their parents (baseball tournament) the staff was professional and, though busy, had time to answer our questions and give us personal attention. We would go back to the Van Buren Best Western!

On a recent vacation to Arkansas, my wife and I stayed at the Best Western Van Buren Inn twice. And we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's conveniently located just off I-40. Check-in went well, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, air conditioner worked fine, had hot water for showers, free internet, got a good nights sleep, and topped it all off with a hot breakfast the next morning. Let's see now . . . yep, that's exactly what I'm looking for in a mid-priced motel. The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and the housekeeping staff were all cheerful and helpful too. So why pay more at a fancier hotel chain when Best Western does it all just right? Thanks, Best Western-Van Buren Inn. Hope to see you again in our future travels.

The room was fine but some other patron decided to talk on his phone for about 90 minutes right outside my room. Also working on front of motel and workers did not seem to care if people were getting old paint on them.

We stopped on our way home after vacation in TN. I had called to change the stay date and did not notice the change in rate till the next morning when we were getting ready to check out. I took my confirmation to the desk and they refunded the difference. The room was clean although the AC was kind of loud. Breakfast as the usual biscuits, gravy, waffles, etc. The pool was small but clean and the lounge furniture comfortable. Would stay again.

This hotel was modeled after Roach motels. AC unit was so loud I had to turn it off to call the front desk about the noise and foul odor. Was awakened when a roach feel on my face. Turned on the light to find out there were more on and above the bed. I want my money back, ASAP!

We really enjoyed the sincerity of the staff they were all nice and friendly. Our air in the room kept freezing up and wouldn't work it was in the 90s outside so you can imagine how muggy and hot it was.

Honestly, what a pleasure it was to stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful both when i checked in and at check out. Room was beautiful - modern and new furniture and so clean! I stopped here for a night driving cross country and it was my favorite night of the trip. Got to do some work on the WiFi in my room before bed, and felt so comfortable in the room. In the morning, my dog definitely took advantage of that massive lawn behind the hotel, I worked out in the gym (the machine takes a few minutes to figure out), grabbed some hot breakfast, and hit the road again. This is the hotel folks traveling cross country all hope to find nightly. I'm so thankful for this place and completely recommend it.

I have stayed in many Best Westerns along the I-40 freeway. The Van Buren, AR was by far the best, cleanest, and nicest one out of all of them! Who knew a small town in AR could have the nicest one. I've stayed in many BW on I-40, This one is worth the stop.

This hotel was easy to locate. Desk clerk (Leah, I think) was extremely helpful. The room was spotless, which is the most important thing to me, The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast was average, but, definitely good enough, when you consider the price of the room.

We had a great quiet room but the best part of our stay was the clerk Cheryl. She was so nice and very helpful she made additional reservations for us for more nights at other locations. She made us feel like we were the most important people she ever took care of. We exchanged chihuahua stories when she saw our little girl. Enjoy your stay here we sure did.

Traveling with a pet, we were impressed with both the hotel and employees. The room was very pleasant, nice sized, had a microwave and refrigerator, and was amazingly quiet. We received a call once we got to our room to verify that all was okay.

I was excited to find this hotel has OUTSIDE ENTRANCES TO THE ROOMS. I'd traveled for over a week, & carried luggage for two people up/down halls then up/down elevators. There were a number of hotels in the area but when I saw that I could park directly in front of the room, my decision was made.

For the city to city traveller in this area The Bestwestern Van Buren is a perfect fit. Helpful, pleasant staff make for quick check in and out. Nearby Interstate make it easy find. Great nearby dining and shopping. Will stay here again.

We have stayed at many Best Western locations throughout the past couple of months and this by far was one the friendlies and most welcoming The staff was very welcoming and we even received a call from the front office to ask how was our room and if we needed anything. This was a first for Best Western. There are plenty of food place within a two mile stretch, and a Starbucks just a 1/4 mile away. Firehouse subs [Excellent] is a walk away. When we left, the checkout was very nice, and even though we missed breakfast [our fault], we were able to get some coffee and orange juice from the front desk person. Thank you!!

This was a very clean hotel. The décor was nice as well. The staff was very courteous. Love the amenities and the location. I definitely recommend others to stay here, and I would definitely come back again.

This is an older Best Western, and you can tell that from the outside! But once you walk into the lobby, it's a whole different experience. Check in was a breeze and the coffe owner was very nice and you could tell took great pride in his hotel. He said that he and his partner bought the hotel 3 yrs ago and the completly renovated a year ago. Everything smelled very pleasant. .which is a biggie to me, and the room was very modern and tasteful. I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures we took just dont do it justice. The bed is very comfy...and there's a hot breakfast in the morning. ??

Surprisingly quiet considering how close it is to I-40. This is an older hotel, that has been updated. Lots of parking, Room was large and clean with new furniture. The bed was very comfortable, and the desk chair was amazing. Checkin was quick, the gentleman supplied us with a leaflet of all the restaurants in the area, as well as the type of food, and the price point. The Italian restaurant is amazing. Breakfast was very good. Check out was quick, and we were wished a good day. Would definitely stay again. As a foot note, we left our camera behind, the housekeeper turned it in, the manager sent it to our vacation resort via FedEx. Nice to know there are still such honest people in this world.

We were very pleased at the quality of this hotel. Rooms were clean and hotel staff were very helpful. Perfect location for our needs. Would recommend this Best Western to familys, couples or buisness travelers. We will stay again.

During my stay here the room was opened with a keycard that an ex employee had possession of, later on that morning the manager lied to us and said it had never happened before, after the night clerk had already told us that it had, and that it was most likely an ex employee. Mr Patel lied to us, refused to contact authorities and refused to review security log. I believe he knows who tried to enter the room and is attempting to protect them and himself. (this was november of 2014) The site wont allow me to post this date.

The building itself is older and while the design of the hotel shows its age, you will be fooled once you get inside. The lobby is very nice and clean and the rooms are extremely modern, clean, and comfortable. It is obvious this hotel has gone through a major rehab and the quality of work is excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. I will be staying here the next time I visit Van Buren for business.

We stayed a year ago and there was need for improvement .. seems like they are addressing some of the issues that an aging hotel will exhibit. Rooms have been refurbished as well as the lobby. Lobby breakfast was average. Best feature is that it is pet friendly and there is a great area behind the hotel whee you can exercise your dog.

Although I travel with a small pet, I expect after paying deposit to enter a room with paw prints and hair cleaned up after last guest. Also the front desk told me I had received discount on room, AARP, AAA, or Military which I had offered her, yet when I received bill upon checkout was quite apparent by rate I had not received a discount. Poor service, cleanliness an issue here.

Wonderful front desk staff. Check-in was great and in the morning, when I missed breakfast beccause I had not changed my clock for the midwest time zone, the lovely lady at the front desk offered to make me something to eat. Wow....who does that? Great value for an overnight of travel. Loads of places nearby to eat and just off the interstate. Quiet!

they are trying to maintain the property and keep it up and doing a good job rooms have been update fresh paint inside and out would stay again if in the area enjoyed our stay there breakfast was good everyone very nice

Stay in Fort Smith for business, Hotel was quiet, clean and close to local dining. Breakfast was OK, staff was excellent, WiFi was very good. Bed was comfortable, would stay again. Television channels were also plentiful and good

The motel was nice, but the parking lot is too small and the handicap spaces too far from the front door or the rooms. The room was clean, but like most hotels, never have enough places to plug in equipment. My brother and sister-in-law use C-pap machines and have to carry an extension cord with multiple outlets with them.

Room was clean and comfortable. There were a few areas in the bathroom where when it was repainted or touched up paint was splattered. Would have looked nicer if that had been cleaned up instead of just left. An ice machine would have been nice instead of a bag of freezer burnt ice in the cooler.

I was visiting family in Van Buren and would have stayed with them but was sick and wanted to just relax. Then when I felt better we decided to keep the accomodations because the motel was so nice. The breakfast offerings were amazing. The area was very safe and well lit up. I did laundry and the facilties were very clean and very reasonable. I would go here every time I visit Van Buren if my family does not get upset for not staying with them!

Staff and accommodations were top rate. We were traveling and mearly interested in getting a comfortable nights sleep and an uncomplicated departure. Location was tricky to get to but all was fine. Not a lot to say. Not a lot to say. No problems. No probleme. What more could we ask for?.

Passing thru the area 1 night stay. Room was clean and had updated furniture and the room was spacious. The breakfast was lacking had round rubbery eggs, The staff was very friendly we will stay again when in the area.

We were heading west on vacation and booked this hotel. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The check-in process was quickly and professionally handled by a nice, well dressed young man. Lots of restaurants nearby, including the Italian one next door. There was quite a crowd there, so I'm assuming the food must be good. We'll stay here again on our way through.

We recently stayed here on the way to Oklahoma City. It was nice, clean and quiet. the staff were courteous and helpful. It was convenient for dinner and I would stay here again. The county is "dry" though if that is your thing. You have to drive to Ft. Smith for beer/liquor but are welcome to bring it back. The beds were cofortable which helps after a long days drive. I would recommend this place for sure!

Had a wonderful stay. The laundry facilities were a great help. The Italian restaurant next door was great also. The room was clean, quiet, an we did not encounter any problems. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has some loyal followers, so I'm going against the grain here. I will say that for the price, it's reasonably good value. However, it's an older property that has been renovated with mixed results. It does offer clean, functional rooms and complimentary breakfast. Front desk service was friendly although at check-in the desk was empty and the clerk was comfortably seated in the lobby. We had a mishap in the parking lot as a result of some broken concrete and exposed rebar. I have been in touch with the hotel manager about this incident and he has indicated that the hazard will be removed. However, I wasn't impressed with either the front desk response at the time of the accident or by the manager's offer to give us a 50% discount at our next visit. We were on a road trip and aren't likely to be in Arkansas again. This is one of my least favourite Best Western properties.

This inn was very reasonable. It was located just off Interstate 40 and close to good restaurants. It was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. I would stay there again. It did have exterior doors as opposed to inside hallways. Considering it's location to interstate, I was amazed how quiet it was.

This is a new hotel with great management. Very impressed with the customer service and everything clean. Fresh baked cookies in lobby a great treat. I always stay at holiday inn express and this location will be one of my favorites. Also impressed with the handicapped accessible pool. Very nice.

Good internet is always important to me. This BW had great fast internet: 50 Mbps down, 10.77 up. Great selection of TV channels (77 total). I had to checkout before 6am, so no Breakfast reviews. I would stay here in the future if needed.

I stay here every year at this time, so that should say something about it. Great place, clean, neat, presentable, good water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed, friendly professional staff, great Italian restaurant next door, perfect place to stay.

Diamond Member, I try my best to support Best Western sense I have 70,000 + points. But don't expect the same in return. Booked the room with Dustin, he seemed very polite at check in. I was staying 2 nights Dustin put the first night on a point's voucher and had me sign a check out paper for $108.00. I took the money out of my wallet and Dustin said just pay when you check out on Sunday, I put my money back in my wallet and came to our room #111. The night was horribly hot, I turn the A/C on 68 and laid down for the night. About midnight woke up and it felt like a sounna. I got up and cleaned the filters and it cooled down some. I reported this to house keeping in the morning, and left for a meeting. I arrived back around 9:30 p.m. to find ourselves locked out of our room. I went down to the office to get my door keys to work. The lady at the front desk Leah said I can't do that until you pay. I told Leah that I tired to pay Dustin and he told me to pay at check out on Sunday morning. Leah says well I got a note and you can't get back in until you pay. Now remind you that all of our personal property is in our room. I pulled my wallet out and gave Leah $108.00 dollars. Leah then says it is $121.00 + some change. I asked Leah to show me the document that I signed with Dustin the night before. Leah didn't have it. So I went ahead and paid her what she asked for. I went back to our room and walked in and the rooms A/C had been turned off all day. Now it is not very cool in Arkansas this time of year. I turn the A/C back on and it ran about 10 minutes before it shut off again. Another night of no sleep do to the heat. The Hotel was booked I even check the internet to make sure there were no other rooms, there were not. So there you have it another bad stay at a "Best Western". I went to fix us something cold to drink and low and behold our personal glasses are gone. How did that happen??? Sticky Fingers!!!!! I have had it with being faithful. I wonder if this is how it works, you build up 80,000 points and you can't even get decent service., not to mention there are more patched holes in the walls then you can shack a stick at, tile coming off the walls, mold on the shower curtain that we soaked in the tub and cleaned ourselves. I have no idea why Best Western has went so far down hill or if they just treat their Diamond Members this way. But I am done with Best Westen. Look for the reply on this you will see, sorry you did have a great stay with us, give us another chance in the future to make it up to you for the FULL PRICE & maybe even more than the normal cost like this stay.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and staff at this hotel. We would highly recommend it for business or leisure. It is very quiet, the staff is very attentive and professional, and there are amenities very close by. With our moving across country it is refreshing to have such a fine hotel available on our route. The breakfast was awesome and the location to our route was very convenient to the interstate.

Every thing was kept well. It was next to the interstate, buy we couldn't hear any noise. It is an older property, but it has been properly maintained. The front desk was very helpful with any of our questions. I would defiantly stay here again.
