Best Western Alkapuri, Vadodara

Visited vadodara first time, and stayed here for around 10 days. I must say the location, the staff, ample parking space, good wifi speed, nice food.. almost everything was nice and good.. It is almost in the main city center, specially evening time was very good when u walk through the alkapuri area. I would give 10/10 for its location. It is one of the best area of vadodara and in the evening it looks so lively. You can commute anywhere within vadodara from here, easy to get auto, cabs etc. Overall nice experience, will surely stay again here. Thanks Best Western... Thanks Vadodara...

I had to call 4 times for things not working with in 1 hour of check in...1 tv remote not working battery need changes ... after that 2nd time tried to change channel issues with battery needed changes in the sky remote ...3rd time Fridge was making so much noise that the maintenance guy came and turn off the fridge ....4th I switched on the A/C same issue battery needed changes....very poor service ...order a cup of coffee arrived after I finished my breakfast and it was cold

Rooms are neat & clean. Service is really good. Hotel is near road touch, Wifi is really working good. Bathroom & rooms are really clean & hygiene. Food is really amazing in good price. Best stay in vadodara.

The direct walk in rates are way too high as compared with the service and the facilities provided by this property. The lift is too small. One should not expect a bell boy to escort you toward ur room while check in. The room size was good but not upto the mark. The bathroom is small even in the premium room. They have only hand cum overhead shower which was also not in good condition. The worst part was their room service which shuts by 10:30pm. I checked in at 10pm, called room service for ordering food at 10:38 pm and they refused me saying the kitchen is closed. They asked me to order from swiggy or Zomato. This kind of service can be expected from a 2 star or a lodge type of hotels. All the above really proves how much they care for their guests. I would never ever stay at the this property again. There are lot many better options around and this property can be avoided.

The hotel is at center of city and accessible to major attractions. The hotel facilities are good and is recommended for short stay. However can be well maintained and window surroundings were full of peigon with smell ( this has to be looked upon since room smells bad). Parking and other facilities are good

I had stayed in the property only for a night, hence its basis that crisp experiences only. Pros: 1. Being located in central city, its near to railway station and markets are walkable in the vicinity itself 2. Room size a decent big (as I was traveling with family) to accommodate your luggage and still ample space to walk around Cons: 1. No support to get your luggage even from cab to hotel receptions (you have to deal with it personally, and its not mentioned any where in the voucher as well) 2. Extremely small lifts to accommodate even 4 people (ignoring what is mentioned on walls basis standard sizes) and hence not possible to fit in the luggage in lifts in one go 3. The blanket given was deep wet which had to be replaced when opened in night 3. Delayed service... Waited for 25 mins (with 2 reminders) just to get my luggage from room to receptions at the time of check-out and eventually had to do it myself only. 2 people standing at the reception and watching a guest struggling to get the luggage pulled out but none has the courtesy to support the same Do not expect much in service from the property...

I was on a business trip with my colleague, this hotel is good in very good price. Location is good and rooms were cleaned and spacious. Hotel staff is very well behaved, they need to improve food quality and on varieties. Overall experience is good.

Stayed here in the month of Feb.Had booked a twin room.The room size was about 250 sq ft.It had an aircon, shower with hot/cold water, TV etc.Breakfast was complimentary.The room was clean and the service was good.The hotel is about 7 mins away from Baroda rly station and 20 mins walking.It is located in a good area with lot of shops around.Breakfast was a buffet with limited options but was good.Overall good experience

By far this is the 1st time experience in my 10 yrs of travel experience of being levied with a charge of INR 100/- (minimum) for ordering Utensils (plate,spoon & a fork). So I was advised to at least order either a bottle of 'packaged drinking water' or a plate of 'green salad' to have the required utensils delivered to my room. This is completely shocking as I have never experienced such rude etiquette elsewhere in any hotel stay for the last 10 years (trust me I have stayed in all categories). I voiced my disgust opinion to the one I spoke over phone (without any positive result though), & I can assure that neither me nor would I let anyone of my known people come & stay here at the 'Best Western' hotel in Vadodara - turned out to be 'Worst Western' (God knows what is so 'Western' about it!). The other 'pain at the wrong place for the smokers' - this hotel is a 100% non-smoking hotel, so if you're a smoker, please avoid your stay at this hotel. Don't understand this - Yes, I am a smoker and I am completely aware of the side effects that this habit has yet I choose to be a smoker for my own individual pleasure or choice. I do not intend to cause any discomfort to anyone who does not smoke either, however, during travel (work/leisure), I do not accept such discrimination whereby there is NO 'Smoking Room.' Well, hello, I am spending as much as a non-smoker is - and yet during my personal stay at the hotel room, there should be some kind of provision for me to smoke.

I have stayed to other Best Western Hotels, But this one has disappointed me. The rooms are just OK. The Staffs are friendly. The elevators are small and it was not working, thus we have to use the service elevators. The Breakfast is mostly south Indian dishes, which they should think about it. The Dinner also I did not liked it. Honestly I did not enjoyed much.

Justifying the brand value, this is a decent place just in the midst of hustle and bustle of the city. Comfortable rooms, clean toilets. It will be a good choice for a short stay for business purpose. Breakfast is frugal, but sufficient. The front desk manager needs to change his attitude a bit. A request for late check-out was bluntly negated quoting hotel policy, even after offering payment for that. A little more courtesy will be expected from him.

This is the most horrible experience ever. The approach to the hotel is also very difficult to find. Please keep in mind if you have an extra traveller these guys give you matters and not an extra bed. A complete put off.

Pro's Very clean rooms, nice interior , clean bathrooms, room rent is reasonable, breakfast variety is good, location is good Con's rooms on smaller side so if you get extra bed it will be cramped. housekeeping for towels, soap etc can be improved. Not much of view outside from room would recommend this hotel and stay their again

Stayed in the hotel with family for a couple of nights. Rooms are compact but the bed is huge and very comfortable. Cleanliness inside the rooms and the drainage in the bathroom can be improved upon. Breakfast spread was good and so was the buffet dinner. However, what surprised me was non-vegetarian options were not offered in the buffet but was served separately at the table. So one does not get the option of choosing the portion size or type of pieces. The gentleman serving in the restaurant was very helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is very good. I paid for an extra bed but was provided a mattress on the floor.

i am staying in this hotel for three night, as a star category of hotel, the services not matches, horrible housekeeping services - asking everything twice but not perfect. Front offce person un-ejucated and not professional. facing problem of WI-FI since yesterday but not one bothered to solve it, i cant accesss my official email. mosquito in the hotel, and in kind of services, my daughters catch in the fever. very very terrible services and hotel, we cant recommend to others.

Ideal for a business traveler and even for families. I got a very good price from Agoda and stayed here 2-3 times in last couple of months. Also booked it for my colleagues. It is located in the center of commercial hub , alkapuri market, but still quite place. Good restaurant food and nice rooms. Very satisfactory

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and excellent customer service and amazing beds . The price also includes breakfast and which again is loveky . Location is so central to get everywhere . I found rye hotel very clean and I stayed in room 404 amazing room . I also found the staff helpful and could not do enough for you . Thank you all for a beautiful experience. The trip was satisfactory as regard with stay at this hotel. The room was small but so so. The lift of the hotel is very slow & old . Staff is efficient. The room dining menu is with very limited options. Room decor need upgradation . Ceiling fan is below light fitting hence shadow is reflected on walls that irritates. The reception area is not attractive. The hotel is at a very good location.

The best thing about the hotel is it's very central location. Accessibility is very good to transport and many good restaurants around. The rooms are neat and clean but slightly claustrophobic. Other amenities like toiletries, free wifi are good. Breakfast was just about okay. The cut fruits were not really fresh and service was very slow.

A hotel which shud be taken out of the list of best western immediately. The experience was the highest adjective to a bad stay. The staff was uncourteous the facilities were not working No gym No pool To top it all pahetic food. Please stay away from this property whenever u visit this place. The pics say it all.

It was a worst experience being there in Best Western Alkapuri. They are not bother to fulfill the basic needs of their guest. Not a customer orientation at all. No channels were working on TV. When i complained them they just gave a lollipop and not revised anything. It was 45 when i stayed there and getting extreme hot water from both tap. Nothing was delivered professionally. WOULD NEVER EVER GO AGAIN IN THIS HOTEL.

My room was fairly dark (couldn't leave the window curtains open), but the A/C and fan both worked. Not the cleanest property. Small bathroom. Gym was very hot and A/C did not work (but there was a gym!). Food was good - I ate a quick dinner and had breakfast, which were both better than expected, and inexpensive.

It is a good hotel right in the middle of the city. The rooms are big neat and clean. The staff is friendly, polite and helpful. The food is good and the spread is nice. There are good online and offline deals available on this hotel do look for deals like breakfast and a meal you will be able to get it at a good rate.

Well appointed and clean room. Toiletries. Coffee/Tea maker. Free wifi and newspaper. Room service was prompt and efficient. Buffet breakfast is a knock out. Hotel is centrally located in a posh area with plenty of dining options nearby. Never seen a more tiny elevator in a hotel, it was scary.

Not properly cleaned on daily basis, some days forget to provide hand towels, Couple of days heard staff arguing and talking loudly in the hallway. Front desk staff is polite. Being a US franchise expected much better but overall found very poor quality. I am sure they could do better.

This hotel is at prime location. Rooms are spacious and clean with amenities. Bathroom is also good with toiletries. Staff is good and friendly. Parking is also available here. We stay here only for a night so couldn't experience about room service & food.

Its an average hotel for a quick stopover at Vadodara. Decent room size but the bathroom sanitation need to be well attended, particularly the drainage systems. Approach to the hotel is quite difficult to locate given it doesnt apprear correctly in GPS. Food is good and with options. Service is good as well.

A few of our families stayed here during a wedding and the worst ever experience. Not at all up to mark in service and amenities. There were no towels in room and on requesting an extra bed for our daughter, we got a lump for a bed and didn't get the replacement till almost 12 in the night!! Terrible is an understatement! We were just looking for a stopover kinda place to just crash but this didn't cut it even for those few hours. Don't waste your money. If looking for a budget hotel, I m sure you are better off elsewhere

Booked this hotel as a stopby/night halt in my long route trip.. so i just stayed for a night but it is not up to my expectations, No hot water in morning, exhaust fan was too much noisey, hotel entrance it self is very clumsy and narrow, staff were okie types. do not expect you get value for money. i feel that we pay big chain money and stayed in local small hotel

We have used this property recently and this is business class hotel for 1 or 2 nights short stay. Linens were clean and tidy. Staff attitude were less cooperative not perfect from front office . Breakfast was too good, delicious as well. Room size was so small. overall stay was nice. Thanks to F & B staff members who made our stay fabulous. Their spoken tone were very soft very humble and supportive for any customers. I like them. All above words are very true which happened with us. Thanking you,

We are somewhat disappointed, because othe BW hotels patronised by us in Europe were far better. The Vadodara hotel very average, the room, room amenities, service are all just so so. But then the tariff is also low. Also the location is convenient for visitors.

Really very good hotel according to average Budget. Room service is to good. This hotel also provide complimentary services if your stay is more than 15 days, but it should be in just one booking. Overall the experience was quite good.

Hotel facade, approach and display needs improvement.Dining area is quite small according to the size of the hotel. Food & service quality is ok. Front office staff were quite helpful.Location is excellent.

Was accomodated in room 906. Excellent room. Well appointment and renovated. Everything working well and WC was neat & clean. Bed was comfortable and with right firmness. Except for the fact the windows dont open, everything was excellent. Breakfast was good, but leaves scope for improvment.

The hotel is located in Alkapuri area which is a good area of Vadodara to stay at. The entrance towards the hotel is narrow but its a popular hotel so Taxi, Auto drivers know it and take you there without asking help.

Found the rooms small -maybe 120 sqft at most including washroom so not really that big --however, decently built up with all facilities etc --A semblance of a restaurant downstairs served food which was ok though nothing great --ok for a night cap August 2017 was when I stayed here but auto option not showing the said dates

It was very very good. The staff was very co-operative which made my stay extremly wonderful. The hotel was beautiful from inside as well as outside. I will prefer to stay again. This is one of the best property, I stayed in.

Rooms were really good size and nice. Location of hotel is right in the heart of new city I.e. Alkapuri. Staff were helpful. Guests for whom rooms were booked were so happy too with food and service at the hotel. Breakfast was good to start a day.

I stayed here for a family function .the hotel is right in city centre which was a bonus .but the room was small. The washroom towel were really bad . Though the breakfast was nice ..so much they can improve on there service also.

Needs lots of improvement in housekeeping department. They forget to keep hand towel in bathroom and when u call and ask for it they have fantastic answer all hand towels are in laundry and for two days they were still in laundry. Only good thing about this place is location, close by malls, good restaurants.

This hotel has very good location in Baroda's business area. The best part of the hotel is its food. We have booked for Dinner and breakfast. The dinner was excellent and also break fast. Hotel staff has very good nature to help and make your stay confirmtable.

Very good location but the rooms are compact but ok for a solo traveller. Might be a bit tight for twin sharing. Good breakfast spread and the property and rooms are clean and tidy. The pricing is also very reasonable.

Its very nice and comfortable to stay at Best Western. Near to railway station so it helps to reach hotel in 5-10 min. Cleanliness, service and hospitality was very nice. Delicious food including different variety and fruits helps to nutritive balanced breakfast.

Hotel is located bang behind BP petrol pump on alkapuri main road. Decent and comfortable "kings" room. New Ac's, TV etc as hotel is taken over from earlier mgmt. Only 2 negatives (a) buffet dinner (veg only) is horrible. Even if they pay you rs.399 plus taxes, DONT eat it. (b) the rooms are packed with no window to open. Food choices are plenty outside in close range.

This hotel is much comfortable for family stay. Non smoking rooms and the staffs were so disciplined and helpful. Very fast check in and check put. More over they are providing the very good discount on the food bill to the guest.

The hotel was booked by my company & it turned out to be good. I experienced some difficulties in locating the property. The staff was courteous. The elevators were small and so were the corridors. My room was good. I was impressed with the cleanliness. I personally didn't like the food(room service). I had ordered a club sandwich & it was no where close to what a club sandwich is all about so I left it at that. The breakfast was good. Thank you.

I'm staying at the Best Western for about 4 days now. Check-in was a breeze. Staff is polite. Room is clean. Housekeeping is on-time and prompt everyday. I've ordered room service multiple times, and it all arrives in 15 minutes. Food is good, breakfast buffet is also tasty. Several options are available at the breakfast buffet. 2 bottles of water is provided complimentary each day. There is a ceiling fan and a much needed AC. Wi-fi, as others have reviewed, is pretty slow. There is a good work area setup with a table and a comfortable chair. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room. I was able to get a hair dryer and an iron with the board upon calling housekeeping. Definitely value for money and great service.

This was my second stay at Best Western Alkapuri and as usual I got best deal by booking online. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The only drawback is they don't provide dental Kit so don't forget to carry with you when you plan to stay there.

Located near station in Shopping area. So if you are coming in by train v well placed, however if you are driving in, which was our case not too convinient as one has to drive through chaotic city traffic. Room was OK type so was the service , breakfast was ordinary. I would not say it matches Best Western brand, appears a run down hotel , may be an old one leased out now. Only pluc point is v nice helpful staff. Go if you have no choice.

Must stress that throughout our month long trip in India, this hotel was the bees knees. Room, staff, location, cleanliness and amenities top notch and professional joint. Centrally located with clean and neat rooms. Friendly service, decent breakfast spread and dinner options. Value for money paid. The only discomfort is that the rooms are too small and cramped with very little space for moving around.

Conveniently located, clean and it's good value for money. The hotel amenities are severely lacking. The WiFi was unusable, I couldn't even load tripadvisor! The lift is tiny so you'd end up waiting a lot, so I generally took the stairs. The “gym/spa” is a complete joke.

Value for Money ! This is one of the best and modest star facilities with good customer service. What I liked most is that feedbacks are taken very positively and attended to where improvements are needed.

This hotel is too small including lift and it's room. You don't feel as if you stay in 3star property. It is to much congested including even lobby and dining area. You can easily get much better deal elsewhere at this cost.

I have never experienced anything so terrible in my hotel stays. Laundry section is terrible. Lost clothes during most of the stays. Even after asking them multiple times, no one is bothered to respond & every time the answer is "we'll get back to you".

It is a good hotel to stay as it is in the heart of the city offering complementary breakfast, fitness centre for their guest. A very good and cooperative reception and staff. They have a restaurant too. Buffet Al Carte as well as mid night combo meal options also available. A real value for money proposition.

We were a family of 3 adults, staying for 2 nights. We arrived much earlier than the check in time of 2pm, but hotel offered us the option of paying INR 1,000 for early check in at 9.30am which we took. The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the Train station, Bus station and most banks and financial institutions. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable and happy to assist us with all our queries. Rooms and bathroom were a little cramped, but at the prices they charge, this is not a deal breaker. Stayed here for 2 nights for a friends wedding. The hotel has a decent location with shops and restaurants in a short walking distance. It does the job of providing a comfortable bed but do not expect anything more than that. The service in the hotel is abysmal and very poor. During breakfast we had asked for tea and coffee to three individual waiters and eventually the last guy came with only half the order and disappeared. They do not seem to have a stock of beverages either, when we asked for thumbs up, they only have 1 bottle. If you need a simple and cheap bed and breakfast then there is nothing wrong with this at all, however, if you want a property to enjoy and unwind then this one is a strict no-no.

This hotel is at a walking distance from railway station in Alkapuri area. Lot of good restaurants nearby. This is behind Alkapuri petrol pump which is on the main road. Good buffet breakfast . I just stayedfor 1 night so did not have lunch or dinner here

As I am travelling solo for business purpose so booked a compact room. Although the room is small in size but have all the required facilities including a laptop desk. Free newspaper supplied in morning to the room. Breakfast and dinner buffet is good have sufficient option. Overall one can surely consider it.

The hotel is decently priced. Good amenities, good enough for 1 night stays or stopovers. Only drawback I feel is the berakfast, the choice is very limited and not to everyones satisfaction. Would surely stay here if need be

Stayed 5 nights. Room size was decent. Comfortable bed. While the Buffet is a mixed bag, the in room dining service is quite decent and not expensive either. Portion sizes were big. The service Staff is helpful. Not much of a view for the rooms. The hotel is centrally located.

Stayed there for a night. The location is decent and the property is nicely maintained. The rooms are mid sized with regular features. The AC works fine, the shower works fine, the TV has all the channels. The food was good, I had one breakfast and one dinner here. The only negative thing was that they do not have non-veg buffet coz it is their management policy. I did not understand that. Anyhow this hotel is value for money nevertheless.

This is a business class hotel that means Value-for-money. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. The breakfast spread is also modest, but good enough. The internet is slow, really slow. So take your own data card. The tariff and location and overall ambience makes it a very good choice.

We booked three double rooms, all of them were good working order if a bit small. The extractor fans in the bathroom but this didn't cause us any problems. Service was great, food was good (had breakfast every day and dinner once). There's a shopping mall and restaurants nearby. Would stay here again

This is right on the RC Dutt road and 10 min from railway station. Rooms are decent with basic amenities. Toiletries are limited and of avg quality. Breakfast also had very few options. I think this is a good property at this price point (~ 2200 INR). you will find Main market and good restaurants within 100 mts of walking distance. There is only one elevator and that too very small. There was no certificate displayed inside elevator from safety inspector.

Spent a night on my way to Ahmedabad, Located in Alkapuri an upmarket shopping district It was a good choice for us. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast spread OK and the overall ambience good. The front office staff are helpful and it was worth the stay. Have stayed in quite a few places in Baroda and rate this the best. Will love to stay again when am there. Thanks all.

Absolutely the Best of Best Western. Perfect location for what we had to do and shopping. The service was faultless. All the staff were very helpful especially Prakruti. She organised all our onward journeys and hotels. Will definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

The only pro about this hotel is its location, but there are many other hotels with in Alkapuri. I would not recommend you to stay at this Hotel. The Property is New but very poorly managed. The Staff is untrained. The Air Conditioners would not work. I stayed for 2 days and changed 4 rooms because of faulty AC. The Hotel staff doesn't provide you with basic amenities. The Wifi access is limited and really poor even at surfing. The Rooms you see in the Pictures are totally different to what you are offered. Avoid at all costs.

The property has a wonderful location. Rooms are good size, clean, silent. Staff is very good. Food is not the best - but then are excellent food joints within 100 mts. Shower is excellent, no tubs (don't need one).. Enjoyed the stay there. !!! Recommended...

I have been visiting to this hotel chain which is the largest hotel chain in the world.This was my 1st stay at Best Western Alkapuri otherwise i mostly stay in another Hotel nearby. Well, it is bang at Alkapuri near to the station and all the restaurants and reachable to stores for shopping. Its a Basic hotel however fulfills all the needs of a customer right from spacious clean room , Free WIFI and cproviding complimentary breakfast. It is a big hotel and you shall be lucky to have a room at higher floors which cuts the noise from road, still the Hotel being in the inner part , is away from any kind of noise. If they stick to the above mentions with good service and being cost effective , personally won't look anywhere else except being here right back.
