Was impressed with how clean the rooms were. The beds were comfortable and room was well stocked with towels, soaps, coffee. The breakfast had lots to choose from including a pancake machine. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We were absolutely impressed during our entire stay. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms exceptionally clean (even the TV remote and extra blankets are sanitized, in a special case and labeled to keep clean (was very nice touch)). We have stayed in far more pricey hotels that weren't half as cared for and clean. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate a special request for an extra late checkout. The property is well lit (important as we have a senior dog). We look forward to returning! Thank you for making our holiday stay so relaxed and pleasant!

Only booked a room for one night for our family as we were up from the Bay Area for the weekend. Room was not ready when we arrived at 4:00 PM (check-in time was 3:00 PM); however, the front desk staff was very nice and let us know it would only be about 10-minutes until it was ready. Within 10-minutes the room was ready and we were able to check-in. Room was clean, which was all we were really looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful during our quick stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE THE VICTIM OF FALSE CHARGES!! We checked in around midnight (myself, husband and two young sons) and left the following morning around 630am. I was checking my credit card statement and noticed a $100 charge from the hotel. I called them and they said it was a charge bc the room smelled like marijuana. I told them there's no way. We checked in exhausted, passed out and then left early the next morning for our camping trip with friends. No one smoked in or near the room. They claimed the room had to be cleaned and was useless for two days. They also said they always alert people when they charge their card but I asked them to tell me when they called and they could not provide that information. Basically it was our word against theirs. It's complete BS and I will post this on every site that this hotel is advertised on bc I am sure we were not the first people this has happened to. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Booked this hotel to attend a friend's daughter's wedding. Location is close to the wedding venue and a host of restaurants and shops. The Lady in the front desk, who also manned the breakfast area in the morning was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was sufficient to get you started with your day. Room is clean and maintained but I think it's time to remodel. Overall, had a pleasant stay.

Not too many options to stay near Pollock Pines, but we found our stay quite comfortable. The room was pretty basic, but it was quite clean. The wifi was decent, but the thing we liked the most, the beds were amazingly comfortable. Small Fridge in room, Staff was very nice, decent breakfast with the usual fare for this type of hotel. All in all, nothing fancy, we but the location is good, the place is clean and we slept well. We didn't swim in the pool, but it looked to be clean and kept in nice condition

Felt unwelcome from check in to check out. We had stayed at this hotel before the pandemic and had a great experience mostly because the staff was so hospitable. We experienced the exact opposite during our latest stay. The new owner must be very cheap. The staff was constantly telling me and my young adult children how much it would cost to replace items if we broke them. (We didn't break anything.) The cleaning person yelled at us about the cost of towels because we had dirtied one towel cleaning up water tracked in from a big puddle immediately outside our door (impossible to avoid). It was difficult to get an fourth towel for 4 people. The front desk seemed upset that we checked in with four people even though that was how I made the reservation and was paying more for a larger room. Staff was constantly monitoring my young adult girls. Overall we felt very unwelcome. In the plus side, the rooms were nice. The rooms would have been clean had it not been for the puddle up in front of our room that caused very dirty floors. I do not recommend staying here and will not be back.

Room was comfortable, but sink plumbing made noise, chairs on patio dirty, patio dirty, armchair old, breakfast food wasn't very good, weren't able to check in till nearly 5 pm. Expensive for what we got.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, but in a good location. The breakfast was very good. I would stay here again--it looked like one of the better hotels in the area that we wanted to stay in.

I am so grateful for the hospitality of Trish and everyone that helped me. I was stranded on my way to Tahoe and they were able to provide accommodations for me to stay the night and wait out the storm. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had to stay at this Best Western as our car broke down nearby. Then we booked the wrong night and we were lucky there was availability here. The people who run this place are so hospitable. We felt like family? while we stayed there. They offered to help us with bags, helped with directions, offered us help in the morning, etc. etc. I saw that some other guy's car was frozen and the owner walked out to help him with some water to unfreeze the car. We asked about road conditions and they were very helpful with timing and how the roads were in the morning since it was just after a winter storm and were extremely nervous. The owner saw I was having trouble backing into a snowy spot and helped me to back in. The room was clean, had a keurig machine that looked really well maintained, microwave, and also a minifridge. The room was really clean, had extra sheets and the heater worked very well despite the freezing temperatures. This place is really well run and knocked my socks off. I haven't stayed at a Best Western in a while, but if the rest of the hotels are as impressive as this I'm sold. The company should commend and use this property of how BW should be run. Excellence, Friendliness, Hospitality, Warmth. As Terry Benedict would say this place would be rated with the Five Diamond Award.

This is a good facility in an area without too many options, and this one is both well situated and easy to get to. It was especially well run and accessible, given the recent massive snow storms in the area.

We were so happy with our stay. The staff were so accommodating and in tune with what their guests needed. They really went above and beyond in every which way. The rooms were spotless, water pressure was great. The breakfast was a surprising bonus! The automatic pancake make was a hit with us all! The location is so perfect. The family already discussed our next getaway.

Stayed here one night on our way to Lake Tahoe, room and bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable. Good choice of restaurants nearby. There was no road noise so we were able to have a great sleep. I reccomend this Hotel.

This is a hidden gem in the Sierra Foothills. Large rooms. Exceptionally clean. Great internet. Quiet and very well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff. For the price this is a very nice place to stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They did everything we asked for from accommodating an early check-in on a rainy day to providing a phone charger and fuel for the fireplace in our suite. The room was clean and had new furniture. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This BW is in a good location for exploring Apple Hill and the El Dorado wine country. Accommodations are quiet and comfortable. Balcony/patio is a plus. Easy access to Hwy 50. Free Wifi and breakfast are included.

We had a nice room with a comfortable bed, good TV for the World Series, a lovely deck overlooking the pines and a beautiful sunset, and very quiet despite knowing every room was occupied that night! Nicely located away from businesses and traffic, but close to hiway 50 entrance and access to the Apple Hill amenities. Great staff and clean facility. The review would have been all 5 stars, but just minus 1 for not having a breakfast or lobby snacks. The room had a fridge, microwave, kitchen sink and counter, and a coffee maker/necessities, so that is a nice bonus.

Very Courteous front staff and they were great help in arranging tie reservations over the phone. The Rooms were Clean and all in room amenities worked. I am glade that they are back to being a Motel and have taken great lengths to remodel.

We liked this hotel because it was not on a main busy road but rather a quieter country route tucked away amid the pine trees. There are many dining options nearby, as well as a full service grocery store (Safeway), and a beautiful lake & recreation area about 10 minutes away. Our room was a two-room suite with separate living room and kitchenette including two super-comfy couches. This was great because I'm a night owl, so when my Dad turned in early, we simply closed the bedroom door and I could lounge in the living room as late as I wanted without disturbing him.

We selected this hotel for the location and rate, but got a lot more. Moving is stressful. Staff are very friendly, accommodating, patient and kind (even to rude guests). We needed the extra lg parking lot for our moving truck. Highly recommended.

Was a quaint area of California. Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Amenities were good. Easy to get in and out of. Breakfast was a good start to the day. The area breakfast was served, was extremely clean and organized.

First of all, we have stayed at dozens of BW's over the years and have had nothing but pleasant stays. We chose this place for relief from the extreme heat of early Sept 2022. It is fairly close to our home (no A/C!) and at nearly 4,000' we expected a pleasant mini vacation and chance to relax in comfort. Big mistake. We could have chosen any place in any price range but we had the misfortune to wind up here. We were NOT informed at check-in that there was no room cleaning available. I found out by asking at the office; I was abruptly refused. So I borrowed a vacuum and supplies from a cart and cleaned the room myself. I then call BW reservations to find out if this was now company policy and if not find another location. Answers: NO and YES. Nearly immediately I got a call from the office offering to clean our room! I said emphatically "Dude I've already cleaned it myself !" Exact words. He then hung up on me ! On day three they changed bedding. I then got another call from the office saying that I would be charged for NEW bed covers (brilliant white!) because our two dogs had gotten them dirty. We had been paying $80 a night extra for the dogs! This was the last straw. I paid the bill ($857.60) and left, forfeiting the last night's stay. I'm 75 and my wife 72. We have health issues. Life is too short to tolerate this kind of absurdity.

I reserved the king fireplace suite and it was located on the corner of the hotel closest to the street but I got great sleep/was not disturbed at all by traffic. The room has a living and dining room area as well as closet that held a roll out bed if needed as well as a linen closet. The bathroom was a typically appointed hotel bathroom. The fireplace is beautiful and I hope to return in winter and actually try it out. The bedroom was large/spacious with a sitting chair, tv, separate sink, and a wonderful bed. If you're interested in spending a family day at Apple Hill I would highly recommend staying here and using it as your base of operations so you don't have to make the drive to Apple Hill and back all at once after your adventures.

This newly remodeled hotel is a must stay. The owners and staff were friendly, cheery, funny, and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and had an outdoor patio that looked onto the mountains. A perfect place to end the day with a glass of wine and a bit of star gazing. The hotel is close to local sites and activities, such as lakes and hiking trails.

The only real redeeming quality of this hotel is that they are pet friendly. The room we stayed in (207) smelled so much that we had to open the slider to air the place out...making the room really cold in the process. The worst part was the mattress, which was so bad both my wife and I had difficulty sleeping. The breakfast was nothing to write home about,so we went to a local restaurant instead. I really cannot recommend the place

great hotel some things where a little dated,but when you get hotels like that it can be a good thing.If things are dated because there a little behind the times that's a good thing.Now if there dated because there being cheap probably not.But the staff was very nice rooms where clean.all and all a good time.

Front desk representatives were very friendly and helpful. Daniela gave great information as to sites to see in the surrounding area. The room was clean and quiet. Great value for the price. Staff was very accommodating.

We had an enjoyable stay. The Staff had great customer service. The management were so warming from the moment we walked in the door. They greeted us with big smiles and welcomed us for stopping in. The Front Desk Clerk processed us in very quickly. Our room was immaculate and clean. We had more than enough space to accommodate our Family. We had the luxury of many extra amenities such as a Coffee maker, microwave, tiny refrigerator, ironing board, hair dryer and most of all access to their swimming pool. Let me not forget our delicious Continental Breakfast. Each staff member we encountered were so friendly and had great customer service. We will definitely be referring this special retreat to all our Friends and Family. Thank you Best Western Stage Coach Inn Management and Staff for making our vacation one we will never forget.

This hotel, up until this year with new ownership, was very comfortable and run very efficiently. Now, under new management, I cannot say the same. We hire rooms here for a work season from June until October, and in that time I have: Been refused my reward points "because my company is paying for it" which is against Best Western corporate policy. Been awakened late at night to "test a room key", and have had my food thrown out despite the fact that I hadn't checked out. Although I was reimbursed for my food, what is appalling about the last two is that these problems were made out to be MY fault by a secondary management type who has no problem being very rude with paying guests. I should add that I am not new to this; I have traveled extensively over my 40 year career and spend about 200 days a year away from home in various hotels. With this in mind I will urge my own management to arrange accommodations elsewhere next year if at all possible. I strongly urge people to find other accommodations if your stay is for long term business, as the staff here is clearly not capable of dealing with this. You can be sure this hotel will never get a dime from my own pocket, even if it would mean a greater driving distance

More than seven weeks in advance we reserved a wheelchair accessible room. When we got there we were told they only had one and it was occupied. We had no alternative but to take a standard room because we had to get to a wedding. This was totally unacceptable, when we got the wheelchair into the toilet you could not even close the door. The next morning the manager was not there so we do not now why he refused to honor our reservation. The 800 BW reservation number confirmed we did have a reservation for a wheelchair room and they will contact the manager.. I have no idea what his excuse will be but do not truist him. I don't! I'll never be back.

This Best Western did their best to make sure our stay was a great one. The staff was so friendly. The hotel is older but is well maintained. The towels were so soft and the breakfast was good. It had lots of options. We were just there for one night and enjoyed our stay.

Well tun Best Western. Attentive managers. Decent breakfast. Clean and quiet rooms. Good location, next to a couple of nice, Country style restaurants. Small pool, but you cant have it all. Good deal for the price.

So you have never heard of Pollock Pines or the Best Western Stagecoach Inn? Well, you have no idea what you are missing. The Stagecoach Inn is a great gateway to the Lake Tahoe area and a little gem right off Hwy 50 in Pollock Pines. Easy to find and just about 45 minutes to Lake Tahoe, this is the perfect location to explore the area. The hotel itself has 26 rooms and is very charming. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, quiet and spacious. Free breakfast is included, the internet is fast and complimentary and there is enough parking space. Add to that a tremendously committed and courteous staff, and you have a great hospitality experience. The hotel is family-owned and that shows in every aspect of the property. Lots of smiles, friendly people and a can-do mentality are the icing on the cake. Looking back, I am happy that I did not spend twice as much (or more) at Lake Tahoe, but found the Stagecoach Inn in Pollock Pines. A definite recommendation for exceeding our expectations in all ways possible. Thank you, Hitesh, we will see you again.

We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Hitesh, the manager, and Wyatt, the front desk receptionist, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We immediately felt right at home. The rooms were clean, the breakfast far exceeded our expectations, the beds were very comfortable and we loved the mountain air and beautiful pine trees. A huge thank you to the staff for making our stay most enjoyable.

improve breakfast..check for freshness of fruit and bread type products. Have butter. The breakfast room was not as well set up as the rest of the motel. If disabled it is not easily accessible, it is upstairs

The hotel is a little dated, but the location, staff, and pricing are well worth it. This is a 2 story (no elevators) hotel set in the pines right off of Hwy 50, so the view & smell of the area are outstanding! The thermostat has a constant fan setting (for those who like a little ambient noise), and while there was a wall outlet next to the bed, the nightstand could use a dedicated charging station. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We got in late and the managers were up and happy to help. We had 2 small issues in the room and the managers arrived quickly and remedied them kindly and professionally. We had a brief opportunity to speak with the managers and they were super friendly, personable and even funny. I felt at home and comfortable there while on a pretty stressful business trip. The hotel is chill and the managers keep it that way.

Everything was great. I pulled in late and they had a nice, clean room. It was quiet and safe. The bed was really comfortable, and the shower worked great. Slept really well! Both the man who checked me in and the woman who checked me out were welcoming and helpful. Great place! Would highly recommend to friends!

We came up to Pollock Pines for an overnight to let our kids play in the snow. We misjudged the snow line and didn't bring chains, thinking that 10 miles from Placerville was no big deal. Of course it snowed hard and we got stuck. The staff was extremely helpful, answering all our questions and helping us with anything we needed. They didn't have change for the soda machine but the owner gave me $1 out of their own pockets. They made sure we got a room for a second night when they were all booked up and really made our stay special. The amenities were sparse - you are out in the country after all - but the rooms were clean and well stocked. My only issue would be the lack of silverware or dishware in our suite, but this was more than made up for by the generosity of the staff and owners. Breakfast was more than I anticipated - I expected only cold cereal - but there was also waffles, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and fruit in addition to the requisite cereal. I would definitely come back and recommend this to others.

Certainly there is nothing that a hotel can do about a commercial power failure. But when the frequency of power failures is so great, and so predictable, the hotel management could have a plan to assist guests during a power failure. During a snowstorm, at about midnight, the power went off as the desk clerk predicted. hey generator started up for, apparently, a property next door. But the hotel was plunged into complete darkness. There was no flashlights, no emergency lighting. and the temperature in the room rapidly dropped to around 47 degrees Fahrenheit. There were no offers of extra blankets, or any other means for dealing with the cold. I dealt with the situation on my own, and managed to get some sleep. It was sort of like camping outdoors in the winter. In the morning I woke to find my car completely buried under the snow. it wasn't just the snow that had fallen from the sky that was burying my car. Apparently hotel management had arranged for a snow plow to come through the parking lot. Instead of offering the guest some assistants by helping to dig out their car, they further buried the car under the removed snow. upon checkout, there was no sign of any hotel employee. guests were left to dig their own cars out of approximately 6 feet of piled up snow. I am a relatively physically fit person, so I guess I enjoyed the workout. But apparently the management is too ignorant to consider the possibility that many people die from heart attacks while shoveling snow. I've stated hotels all over the world. I've been through midnight Hotel fire evacuations, floods, earthquakes, and even all night power failures. I know enough to know that it is the hotel Management's responsibility to ensure the safety of their guests. And this hotel did not. They were ill-prepared.

We traveled to Apple Hill area with 2 other couples - l of the other couples had never been to Apple Hill so we traveled to some of our favorite ranches. It had been a few years since we had been there during the high season, and the crowds had really grown! It took much longer to see the area.

This hotel worked perfectly for our one night stay during a recent road trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff/owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast offerings were good. The Wifi was a bit weak, so we were better off using our mobile devices without the wifi.

It's a very well maintained, beautiful property managed by a very friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you need a place to stay. It's the perfect location to go to Apple Hill and also close to ski resorts.

We were here for 2 nights. Room was clean, and well kept. The hotel is in a nice area, that's pretty quiet. There were even deer outside in the morning. The bed was a bit firm for my liking, but you can't please everyone. Kind of expensive for what you get, but that seems to be the going rate in the area.

Nicer, recently refurbished property in the pines. Quiet and relaxing setting near businesses and restaurants. Located near Hwy 50 on the way the Tahoe about 10 miles east of Placerville. Outstanding service by family hoteliers on site. Wholesome, yet Spartan breakfast (no prepared dishes to order)

We live in Nevada and have adult kids and grand kids living in the Pollock Pines area. We decided to run up to Pollock Pines for a mid week break. Have dinner with the family and spend the night here. Check in was a breeze. Nice, friendly staff. Great room, quiet, TV worked great, as did the air conditioner and wireless. A nice respite, good value, clean room.

Very clean very quiet. We have wanted to stay here for years. Well now we did it!! We will be back. Loved our room overlooked the field behind us. 111 is the best. Great getaway deal!! Very pleasant staff very accommodating. Thank you

Grandpa & Grandma traveling with our 13 year old grandson. Very nice, clean hotel. The grounds were very nicely maintained. We enjoyed the small but clean pool before walking to the New Haven Pub and Grill for some very good food.

This is a two story motel, that is small and sweet. We didn't spend much time there because we were at a family function in Pollock Pines. Close to stores and easy access to highway 50. Breakfast is very continental but it works. There were four of us in the room, and I liked how there was a sink in the toilet room but also one out side of the that door with a counter so people could be getting ready while others shower. Nice staff. Extra parking in back. We left our dogs in the car at night and felt safe doing so. But they do accept pets in certain rooms but wanted to charge $25 per night extra.

Attended Annual Family Reunion in the Pollock Pines Area and stayed at the Best Western Stagecoach Inn like we do every year. The room was nice, but had a strong musty smell. Would have been a little better if we had a can of Fabreeze to spray in the room.

Great place to stay, easy access off hwy 50, simple breakfast, clean rooms, plenty of parking (if the front parking lot is full there is overflow parking in the back.) shower and bathtub are very relaxing, good location to start your day from.

Not the friendliest staff, or the best breakfast, but the location was good. Would have been better if there was a choice for dinner. Not a place for kids after being cooped up in the car. Overpriced for a nights sleep.

The hotel staff were very helpful and our stay was pleasant. We were short towels and the gentleman at the front desk offered to bring towels up to our room. The rooms were clean and we slept comfortably

Beautiful Hotel Grounds, VERY Clean and well appointed room. I booked my reservation via phone with Ken. He was polite and helpful in answering all of my questions and sharing information with me about the surrounding area. Upon our arrival, I explained to Ken that I was with my Mother, celebrating her 85th birthday. He thoughtfully assigned a room in consideration to my Mother's limitations .... ground floor and easy access from the well-lit parking area. The Room was perfect and provided a beautiful view of the pine forest.

This BW is in a great location for visiting the El Dorado wine country and Apple Hill orchards. Easy access to Hwy 50 and close to restaurants, a grocery store and a gas station. Be aware that the breakfast room is located on the second floor and there is no elevator. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Bed is average. Great water pressure and temperature. Wifi works very well.

This hotel is in a great location for visiting the El Dorado wine area and Apple Hill orchards. Easy access to Hwy 50 and close to restaurants, grocery store and gas station. Quiet location away from the traffic jams of Apple Hill and Placerville. Breakfast room is located on the second floor and there is no elevator. Just be aware that climbing stairs is necessary. Staff was very friendly and able to assist with our requests. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bed comfort was average. Excellent water pressure and temperature.

This property is well maintained outside and inside. The room is clean and updated. The breakfast has organic coffee, unheard of at a Best Western. It was one of the best breakfasts we have had at a Best Western: greek yogurt! orange juice with pulp! Only improvement is to move the toilet tissue holder closer to the toilet. It is over 3 feet away!

This was a very nice place to stayIt is very close to Apple Hill and I have stayed here a few times before. Well worth the travel and the stay, Very comfortable and nice breakfast. I stay here every time I plan my trip to Apple Hill

We stayed here unexpectedly when our other lodging options became less than ideal. The first room we tried smelled smoky but we had no trouble switching rooms. The front desk staff was super friendly. While swimming, we needed to use the restroom, and though there are no public restrooms near the pool, the staff welcomed us to a staff only restroom. Breakfast was superior to most other hotels in this class. Many options left our group full before we headed out. We've never visited this neck of the woods before, but if we ever some back we will give Stagecoach Inn our business every time.

The hotel was nice, rooms were clean, everything was in working order. Breakfast room was a nice size (so many are cramped). They had just finished painting the downstairs doors - which shows updates are being done. The remote for the tv was clean and in it's own sleeve. The shower was great - lots of water pressure!

Friendly, competent staff, clean rooms, clear attention to detail. Excellent value. Breakfast accoutrements were fresh and nicely presented. Family-owned, and non-family staff were exceptional. Location makes it within a reasonable drive to South Lake Tahoe, and the pricing makes it worth the additional drive time.

Stayed here on route to hiking in Desolation Wilderness. Very comfortable and clean hotel, and a good location for exploring. Excellent breakfast selection. Would stay again when returning to the area.

A very comfortable and extremely clean hotel with an enjoyable breakfast. The only fault was that the room was a little tired and in need of painting and a new carpet. The veranda with two table and a small table was delightful.

Stayed at the Stagecoach Best Western Inn the night of August 12, 2017. Service and quality was great. Morning breakfast was very nice and got to meet with other people staying at the hotel. Will stay here again next year.

Extremely wonderful service, very clean rooms and breakfast lounge plus extra large rooms made for a satisfactory stay. Will use this facility again when we return to the area. It's a great location off interstate 50 and a short drive to South Lake Tahoe.

We loved our stay here and will definitely return. Very quiet serene surroundings. Room was very clean. We have stayed at the Best Western in Placerville when we come this way, but this one is far better. We had a nice time only wish it could have been longer

Always love to stay here when I'm in Pollock Pines and they remember me year to year which is lovely. I also appreciate the location in the pine trees and being close to the local community. Thanks Best Western!

Looking at homes for myself there and hotel was convenient and close to my real estate agent I will most likely be back to look again as pollock pines is where I would like to live. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are very nice and very willing to make the stay pleasant.

I've had cause to use the Best Western in Pollock Pines several times in the last 3 months. Each time, we've been pleased and delighted with the accommodations, comfort, & a great continental breakfast, too! LOVE the yogurt bar! Gilbert and his family made us feel welcome and wanted! We really appreciated the tranquil back patio, as well.

This hotel is really nice,its clean ,The owners take pride in their hotel!! I love the room,the view,everything was nice.I normally do not eat Continental breakfast,it was VERY nice..If you are in Camino or Pollock Pines for a visit use this as a must use!

The shower didn't drain and we were put next to the ice maker because we had kids. The room smelled musty and the carpet was stained. This is not a family friendly hotel. I think it caters to people who live there and not vacationers.

if you are EVER in the area of Pollock Pines California this a must place to stay. Gilbert and the staff are the Best that Best Western has. The rooms are great and very comfortable. This is the only place we stay when in that area.

A very nice hotel tucked back in the woods. The room was clean and comfortable but the lighting was a little poor. It was unfortunate that there were not many restaurants nearby. We had a nice stay here. The provided breakfast was adequate.

We always stay at the Stagecoach when the family gets together for a reunion in Pollock Pines. The Stagecoach is clean, quiet, and just right for us. The breakfast room is a real plus. And, the staff is very accomodating.

The facility was very clean and well maintained.The location to highway 50 was close and easily accessible.The staff were polite and courteous. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large.

The staff quickly, discretely, and professionally resolved an issue with smokers in an adjacent non-smoking room. The room was clean. The bed was above average, not too firm or soft. (We tend to be very critical when comes to beds.)

Great hotel, clean and cozy. Gentleman that checked us in was extremely helpful & kind. Will definitely be back. The locals at the bar up the street weren't that friendly, but we weren't there to make lifetime relationships. A great place to stay

Our plans fell through with staying with family and we ended up searching for a hotel with two rooms available late Saturday afternoon. This Best Western in the hills was perfect. Staff was super friendly and accommodating The rooms are large and very clean. We had porches with chairs to enjoy fresh air and view of the pines. We couldn't hear our neighbors (always happy for solid ways) and the bed was very comfy with extra pillows and extra blankets. The price was perfect ( If you are AAA member or AARP let them know). We initially were only going to stay one night..we stayed three nights. Highly recommended.. Easy to get to the freeway from. They have a great breakfast option to choose from.. not just cereal like some places. Lighted parking. Our last day..

Centered in the wine region east of Sacramento, in the Eldorado foothills. The beds are comfortable, and have extra pillows. There are two sinks in the room. One at the counter in the bathroom, and one at the counter outside the bathroom, where the coffeemaker and the mirror are. Nice setup.

This Best Western is barely average, costs more than most, has small rooms, breakfast room is small with limited selections, our bed was uncomfortable, a light did not work. I stay here because I have family in town, but think next time I will stay at the Best Western in Placerville, a much better value, and breakfast.

Make sure they accept your pet and the front desk reception do not give you any hard time about your pet.Do not stay on first level rooms, you will hear people above you walking this hotel is old it does not look like it has been updated in resent years.

It was ok. I was not a raving fan. Needs renovation work. (Landscape, paint, rooms, beds, lights) Managment lives onsite and was always in the suite behind counter. Multiple people had to ring bell for service. I wouldn't stay here again even in a snow storm as it is not worth the money.

A good place to stay when touring Apple Hill - the apple orchards and wineries. I have stayed at this hotel for the past three years. A convenient location. They serve breakfast as well. Simple but it will get you thru until lunch. Need to improvement coffee and orange juice service. Both are bland.

When our usual Placerville Best Western was booked for our yearly visit to apple country for our pies, tarts, other yummies, we found this hotel right down the from our "sweet" travels. We were very pleased with the bed comfort, extreme cleanliness of the room and forest setting. Impressive also, was the breakfast room staff, who was continually cleaning up and restocking breakfast items.

On our way to Lake Tahoe, we stopped at the BW Stagecoach Inn. Tucked in among the trees, this inn is a gem in the woods. Blending in with the surroundings, this inn offers a traveler a wonderful quiet place to unwind after a long drive. The manager was very warm and friendly. We had arrived late and were so relieved that our room was held for us. We were provided with a suite that was larger than those in some of the hotels where we had stayed. It was very clean and well maintained and the warm colors of the décor and comfortable couch made it easy to relax. The room included a microwave and refrigerator that were clean. The refrigerator was not frosted over and this was a welcomed change from the other places where we had stayed that offered refrigerators. A wonderful night's rest, tucked under a cozy comforter with the sounds of birds to greet one in the morning, made our stay truly enjoyable. This inn is like a gem in woods, a place that I would definitely recommend to others. If my family and I are in the area again, this place would be the first on the list to stay.

Nice Best western, but limited breakfast, and very small breakfast room, we could not find seating and ended up taking food to our room. and pool was closed in September though the weather was warm. Was told it had been closed for two weeks, and the heater turned off. I had really looked forward to swimming, so was a bit disappointed in that.

My family comes to Pollock Pines yearly in September. Some of the family stay here at the Best Western. The rooms are always clean as well as the pool area. We always feel safe and not once ever had a problem. Parking is kinda tight at times. The pillows are the only thing I will complain about, they suck!!!! BRING YOUR OWN PILLOWS. But other than that one of the best hotels in Pollock Pines. I just found out they are pet friendly, so I might just bring my "Fido" one year.

It seems that you really do not want it to be easy for a person to make some comments. The questionaire was already lengthy enough. How much more can I say about poor Internet service, which even limited phone call that we could receive, and a cold swimming pool. The staff, however, were lovely and very friendly!

We booked this place last minute after a nightmare situation with a trashy place in S. Lake Tahoe. Best Western Stagecoach Inn was only a short drive from Tahoe and well worth booking something out of town. It was welcoming and clean. Great room with a little balcony with a view of the trees and sky. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was because we had to wait for 10 minutes before someone came out to greet us in the lobby. We rang the bell 4 times and waited and waited while my son really had to use the bathroom. Also, the room was very noisy. There was a little building right outside our door that housed the heating unit or the pool house or something and it was running really loudly all night. I could barely sleep, even with earplugs. I complained to the manager but he told me there were no other rooms available. When we checked out the next day, he was very apologetic and kind, and gave me a complimentary bottle of local wine as a condolence. Very thoughtful of him.

We stayed here 2 nights while we were hiking in the area. We usually stay at Hilton properties, so I would say we have pretty high standards. We chose this hotel because we didn't want to stay in South Lake Tahoe (too congested!), so we were looking for something close to the hikes we were planning on taking. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The front desk staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was plentiful - waffles, hard boiled eggs, muffins, fruit, cereal, yogurt, variety of breakfast sandwiches to microwave, oatmeal. Something for everyone! The pool was functional. It looked dirty, but it is just older. Definitely met the need of getting into some cool water after a day of hiking! Our room was great! We had a king room that had a comfortable lounge chair, a desk, and a small refrigerator. There was a sink outside the bathroom (something I always love!) and a sink in the bathroom. The bedding was updated and the bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. We also had an outside deck that had 2 chairs. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in the Pollock Pines area. Quiet and peaceful, well kept and the Managers are great. Close to town, Sly Park, Placerville and on the way to Lake Tahoe. Have stayed here on four previous occasions and have not been disappointed.

I was upgraded to a suite , I am a Diamond member and it was a great room. Very big 2 rooms one with fire place and dining area. Check in was quick and agent was very nice and professional. The location is nice and quiet with a very nice pool to cool off in with the heat as it was warm. Will stay there again.

Very nice rooms, most with woodsy views and balconies. Everything clean and worked properly. Pool was nice although quite shallow for its size (only 5' in deep end, 3' halfway across). Breakfast was outstanding, lots of options including hot waffles, microwave entrees and pastries. I wish the double rooms had queens instead of fulls and some of the Tahoe-bound folks were a bit nutty but overall a terrific stop.

Clean, modern, well landscaped, and one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a motel! Nice balcony for sitting out in the cool night air and looking at the stars. Just a little traffic noise from the highway. Breakfast area was very clean and offered the usual continental type items.

I normally don't like any Best Western hotel, but this hotel was great. The room was so clean and the grounds were very pretty. We had a field of wild flowers outside the back patio. We were very comfortable. There was a well supplied continental breakfast.

we selected this Best western over the other hotels/ motels in the area for price and quality. We often stay at the Best Western chain of hotels in our travels. This motel has a good quiet location, the rooms are large and clean, there is plenty of parking. We visit friends in Pollock Pines a few times a year and now we always stay at this motel when we visit since our friends do not have a comfortable place for us to stay. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean.

Our room was comfortable and *quiet*. After dark, it seemed as though everyone got off the road, which is very close to the hotel. I have never stayed in a hotel and had complete silence to sleep. The only downside was the queen bed was not a full queen. It was more of a double bed. Luckily we reserved a room with two queens. I would stay here again if I were traveling to this area and needed a room.

Had a horrendous journey after finding roads closed to Yosemite it was getting dark and the mountain roads scary for me. We came across this Hotel lovely and clean simple book in very friendly. Great view from room. Had a good meal at Stagecoat in. Great nights sleep.

Old school design with exterior corridors which some may not like. The floors made squeeking noises which may be disturbing. The location is nice and the staff is great. Breakfast is average and you will need to heat things up in the microwave if you want anything warm. Overall pleasant stay in a quiet area of the sierras. No elevator if that is problem for you with second floor units. Bed was pretty soft.

I've stayed here about five times and have meant to tell other how lovely this place is. The rooms and bathrooms are huge. The place is spotless and very tastefully decorated. The beds are great and the TV's are big. There are thoughtful touches everywhere. The have a little breakfast spread in the morning which is unexpectedly big and varied. It's now my "go to" spot to stop when having to travel west out of the Bay Area and just get beyond Sacramento's horrid traffic.

Surrounding area peaceful and quiet.... the building and room fit into our thoughts of a restful night in the foot-hills.. Best hotel I I have stayed in for some time... I would recommend this place to anyone,,, except Hillary of course....

A wonderful mountain retreat for a stay. From the mountains to the Central Valley, this place is centered. Tahoe is an easy drive as is Sacramento. The foothills are beautiful, so take your pick. The balconies are a special treat for morning birdsong.

Nice Best Western, met expectations, except, pillows were hard, and the breakfast was very limited. Good location, love the area, very clean and quiet. Would have liked some hot eggs, they only had hard boiled eggs, and some frozen breakfast items which had to be microwaved and did not taste good

This Best Western is off the beaten track in Pollock PInes. It is easy to find and is in a quiet location. This motel does not have an elevator, but it only has two floors. I stayed here during the week. It was not full but the people who were there were, for the most part, workers/laborers who clearly had their pick of rooms. I was on the first floor because I was told there were no more king beds on the upper floor. I had the pleasure of listening to whoever was above me thumping around during the night, walking in his/her room. I could make out phone conversations either between the walls or between floors. So, there is virtually no soundproofing. Other than human beings above or next to me the location of my room was quiet. Upon checking in I was not told about the complimentary breakfast. I was also not told about express check-out. The free Wi-Fi Internet was quite slow, but it was free. On the positive side, the room and bathroom were spotless. Cleanliness was not a problem. I probably will not stay here again, but I would not tell a friend not to.

Was very happy with this stay. I generally like a hotel that is enclosed and enter the room from a hallway, but was extremely happy with the nice room. Nice size, clean and comfortable. Would definetely stay here again when in the area.

Would have kept driving if we hadn't found this motel. A nice surprise rather far from population center. The drive from highway to the Stagecoach Inn will take you by several steakhouses and bbq joints, another good reason to get off the road here. We ate at the Fifty Grand; it was prime rib night. Yum.

We like to stay here when we are headed to the slopes. It is just a short drive away from the resort and you don't need to deal with the overpriced crazy crowds of South Lake. The hotel is clean and nice, accepts small pets.

Very well kept, clean and new looking. Off the beaten path, no place really to walk to get a meal, etc. But nonetheless, and nice stop over if you're travelling. And they allow pets. Just be sure to tell the desk lady or she will scold you! Another young lady who was at the desk later was very nice and said not to worry about not "registering" our Toy Poodle. Plus, when we said we needed more coffee packets, she went out of her way to bring them to us. The "breakfast" is quite simple; coffee/tea/mike, toast, cereal, and maybe a mix of muffins. Spartan but ample enough to get you going.

Nice roadside Best Western in pine forest setting. Comfortable, clean rooms, friendly staff and standard continental breakfast. Easy in/out and quiet location near highway. Rooms are clean, updated and have basic amenities. Good value, nice spot for an overnight road trip.

We stayed here for a night recently this December. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but other amenities were limited: No heat in the bathroom; old, thin towels; hot and cold on the shower faucet were flipped; a poor caulking job in the shower and poor lighting for shaving and make-up application. We were not greeted when we checked in and no one was at the desk when we checked out.

This is a great place I wish I could have stayed longer. Reason being the manager is a great man that takes care of his guests. Lets put it this way he left the light on for me and made sure I had a bed to rest my head even with my late arrival. I slept like a baby the scenery was like Santa Claus, elves and reindeer were going to pop out. I enjoyed the short time I spent there and would love to shake the managers hand.

A great place to stay to break up a trip from the Bay Area to the Eastern Sierra - especially to avoid driving at night. Quiet, friendly, clean, and a beautiful location in itself! I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Stagecoach. The room was comfortable and quiet. We asked for a room with a view of the pines and got it. It was lovely watching the sunset and see the pines and stars easily from our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was not fancy, but it was very clean. We really enjoyed the big comfy chair. The breakfast was sparse compared to other hotels we have stayed at. The location is perfect for a day at Apple Hill.

Wonderful cozy hotel in a charming community. Lots of activity such as skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer and colorful and active Apple Hill. If you are going to Apple Hill for a family outdoor fun this is the place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We are a big family so we stayed in their 2 bedroom suite with kitchenette & pull out sofa. there was room for us to play board games at night & the location was close to all the Apple Hill Orchards. It was very clean & the exterior is charming. We especially liked the owners at the front desk, they were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stay here often on our drives to the mountains from the San Francisco Bay area. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, Wi-fi, and cable make for a cozy stay. A good basecamp for western Sierras, Highway 50 south Lake Tahoe, and Highway 88 Mormon Emigrant trail adventures. We are repeat guests and will return. Their breakfast is simple - mostly cereals and carb breakfast, pastries, and refrigerated egg items with microwave. Yogurt and fruit were O.K. Like the large screen TV and the firm but cushy beds. Rooms have cute small back porches with fencing around for privacy, and property has pines and conifer trees for leafy green surroundings.

Very nice hotel. Very clean and well accommodated. Good breakfast in the morning. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Helped us decide on where to spend our day picking apples and exploring. One of the better hotel experiences I have had. Will definitely be back. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Very clean with a helpful friendly staff. We left our cell phone charger in the room when we left and the office sent it to our home US Mail two days later. We enjoyed relaxing on the small deck off the room and visited Apple Hill the next day. We also brought a friend along that stayed in the room next door.

We chose to stay here because it was fairly close to Apple Hill; much closer than we originally thought. Overall it was nice. We were in a corner room on the ground floor, so very little traffic in front of the room. However, the rooms are laid out oddly with a lot of underused space. The windows in the showers are fairly low and so maintenance was working in the morning right by our window. I could not keep the window open while in the shower for privacy. HD TV with good selection of channels was great for the kiddo. Breakfast was good although the breakfast room was pretty small. Four tables all taken by families. Several people were coming in after us and had to take their meals elsewhere. I would recommend this hotel to others needing an overnight stay in the area, and we would stay again!

Located among the pines, this clean hotel met all my needs. Stayed here for a family wedding in Apple Hill. Completely satisfied with the room. Very clean. Free internet. Free breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. I can't wait to return.

Stayed here with my wife on a driving tour of the west coast. The room was extremely clean, spacious, large TV with HD cable and comfortable bed. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this motel

This was my second stay at this hotel and I found everything to be clean and well maintained. It was nice to have a comfy chair by the balcony door to read a book and look out over the foothills. Very relaxing spot in the foothills. The in-room fridge and coffee pot were very convenient for an afternoon glass of wine and morning tea.

Location is excellent, not at a highway interchange with gas stations, malls, chain restaurants, cement, lights and lots of noise. Instead it is on a somewhat rural road with many trees that runs parallel to the highway and is easy to find. My room (101) looks out on a patio where there are trees. Pretty to look at. The night staff person was flexible about my very late arrival and allowed me to move to my room on my own. Hotel room was clean, pleasant, fairly standard Best Western type room with comfortable bed. Breakfast included the standard rolls, cereal, juice and coffee but also hard boiled eggs. That was great.

Stayed here with my family. Very nice outdoor look to the hotel. The lady at the desk was very nice. The room were very spacious and cleanish. The balcony (of the non smoking room) had cans filled with cigarette butts in it. Our balcony was nice but looked out into gravel. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was big and had good pressure. The housekeeping was a little stingy with the soaps and shampoo (one teeny tiny bottle) but the sink outside the bathroom as well as one in the bathroom somewhat made up for it. The pool was small but was fun for the kids. It was very annoying to have to beg the front desk clerk to let you in, but oh well. Didn't try the breakfast but from what the family got it looked fine but nothing special. It seems the hotel puts most of it's time and effort into the lovely outside and is lacking a bit in in room upgrades and extras to stand out
