"GREAT HOTEL BUT POOR SLEEP"
Maura T, 06 Mars 2024

We liked everything about this hotel, but unfortunately our bed was sagging in the middle, which led to very poor sleep. The bed was also small for a queen size. On top of that, we could hear every movement the people above us took, even in the middle of the night. That's unfortunate because the hotel itself, the staff, the location etc is all very good.

"The little things…"
cwb0ucher, 26 Février 2024

Vending machine was out of bottled water so I went and told the employee at the front desk. He promptly gave me 2 bottles of water and spot for the machine not being filled. It was very nice, a small thing but nice.

"Unexpected stay in Nelson, BC"
vickiGO2africa2016, 26 Décembre 2023

My mom was admitted to hospital. I had no overnight bag prepared... desk attendants were empathetic and helpful as they found me a housecoat, USB charger for my Iphone and provided me with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Marzanos restaurant allowed me to order a meal even though the restaurant closed in 15 minutes... did not feel rushed and they were

"Great location and comfortable stay"
SYWTWO, 17 Novembre 2023

Room is clean and tidy. Shower water pressure and temperature is great and consistent. Coffee in the morning from the local Oso-negro is amazing and a great touch. Gym and the hot tub is great to have on a cold day.

"Well Located Downtown"
Deborahjune, 13 Octobre 2023

Good place to stay in Nelson. It's very central to everything and close to walk to town to shop or to eat. The room was large and comfortable and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and everything was in working order. Wifi was strong. Staff were great.

"Nelson stay"
Ddredmond, 15 Août 2023

We were there for just one night, the room is comfortable one of the TV. Remotes didn't work correctly, but the beds were comfortable. The rates a little high, but seems to be the going rate these days.

"Comfy"
psinclair2023, 31 Juillet 2023

Very comfortable beds. The rooms are clean and location is fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. I've stayed here several times before and have never been disappointed. If you have pets they have dedicated pet rooms so your fur baby can travel with you. I've used that in the past when I had a dog.

"Last minute check-in"
tymchakstinytrea2023, 27 Juillet 2023

It was later at night and we had a difficult time locating the hotel with Google Maps. Once we located the hotel, we had difficulty finding a convenient parking place. However, I was greated by an enthusiastic agent who tried to accomodate me the best as possible. The room was comfortable and well stocked.

"Good hotel for stay in Nelson, BC"
Kaushik D, 20 Juillet 2023

Best Western on Baker street in Nelson, BC, is conveniently located in downtown within walking distance of dining, shopping and lake access. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. In line with other hotels the rates have gone up significantly, but hotels amenities remain the same. Inclusion of free breakfast would have been appreciated, to match the increased rates.

"The place to stay in Nelson!"
Waterfallpmats, 14 Juillet 2023

The hotel is centrally located and has free parking. Although no complimentary breakfast the adjoining restaurant offers the Best Western rate at Marzano's which is a beautiful restaurant. The hotel is centrally located, and Nelson offers a lot of fun for families as well! Awesome experience and tons of fun!!!

"Great location! Great staff!"
Robyn M, 14 Juillet 2023

Stayed a couple nights with my daughter for a quick trip to Nelson. Once parked we didn't need to use the car once, everything was walkable. Friendly staff at hotel and restaurant. Clean room & very comfortable beds. Will definitely stay here again.

"The Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn - A Winning Choice for Your Nelson Stay"
Blair W, 28 Juin 2023

This is an excellent property in Nelson, BC Canada. The deluxe rooms facing Baker Street are really spacious and well appointed. My only complaints are the smallish TVs in the room. The length of the room between the TV and the bed is quite a distance and the current TVs are just too small. Recommend placing 55+ inch TVs to better appoint the room.

"Visiting Nelson"
wilma302018, 19 Juin 2023

Have stayed her pre covid. We were happy to return and see the hotel has been kept up nicely. Very convenient location near stores and restaurants. Parking area across the street for your car. I didn't use the hot tub so cannot comment on that.

"Outstanding Staff"
Roam712750, 10 Octobre 2018

This is a great hotel - the staff are outstanding and the room are very nice. During my stay the restaurant was being renovated but the hotel gift certificates for a local restaurant in an close by hotel for breakfast - the hotel is very attentive to needs of their guests.

"Just excellent, but pick your room carefully."
clarksdale, 06 Octobre 2018

Checked in for 3 nights. Was given a room with a door to the next room, which I hate. Told the reception lady, who gave me an upgraded room (helped by me being a BW Gold member). She couldn't have been more helpful. The room was large, silent, comfortable and clean. Importantly, the hotel itself was very quiet. The restaurant on site was good, in a very well designed large new room. The maitre d of the restaurant is both the owner of the the place, the hotel and a hotel in town. Keen and enthusiastic. A word of warning, tho. The hotel is rectangular, with an inner set of rooms which look into one another. The outer rooms are described as having a view. If you are on your bed, you do get a nice view of mountains. However, if you are standing, you see either a car park, or a rail yard. There is a good deal of traffic noise, too, from 7 onwards. Having said all this, I arrived intending to stay 3nights, and stayed 5,which says it all. Good staff, and a decent sleep,

"Great Beds and Food"
219wilfredb, 27 Septembre 2018

The new restaurant was recently opened and serves excellent food both for breakfast and for dinner. Prices are reasonable for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The well appointed room had two Queen beds with excellent mattresses and pillows. I would definitely stay here again.

"Great Staff and New Restaurant"
gothamNYC, 23 Septembre 2018

The room was immaculate and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful to us as out-of-towners looking for advice. We had breakfast at the newly renovated restaurant - Marzano's -which had a great modern design, a nice staff, and delicious food. All in all, a very pleasant experience. The property is downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.

"Nalson Gem"
quickdraw-spairrow, 19 Septembre 2018

Fantastic hotel with great staff and good location. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Located on Baker street and close to all amenities. New restaurant is just opening so did not get to eat there. Great stay.

"100% Satisfied!"
Sbjcoach, 19 Septembre 2018

Located close to downtown, not far from local commerce. A few moments drive from major grocery store (Save-on-Foods and Walmart). Reception: Spectacular service from Megan at the front desk! (Thanks!!), however ALL staff were equally great! Room: I had a double queen.. with a microwave, small fridge and Keurig coffee maker. Sufficed well. Iron and ironing board in fine condition. Adequate lighting. Internet was fine. Beds: PERFECT for me! I prefer something less saggy... where your backside doesn't hit the floor (so to speak). These were firm yet soft. Perfect! Shower: Full size tub with water pressure to provide an invigorating morning wake-up! Parking: This hotel has outdoor parking, their lot across the street from the building (not far). There is also metered parking on the street which is enforced between 9 am until 9 or 10 pm. A new restaurant just opened in the hotel; menu looks interesting but I didn't try it. Only slight suggestion: There are plenty of outlets around the room, but none near the night-stand between the beds to charge phones, etc. I carry my own extension cords so it wasn't an issue for me. You may wish to enquire at the front desk in case of need. A terrific place! I'll absolutely return!

"Great Location and Staff"
notpicky68, 14 Septembre 2018

We stayed here for two nights. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location was handy as we could walk to all the stores on Baker Street. We chose to drive to the park as it was too far for us to walk. For breakfast, you received a $5 voucher for a nearby restaurant within walking distance. Very good food. Free parking is across the street, which was very nice.

"Great location, great hotel"
Bruce P, 11 Septembre 2018

The hotel is very easy to get to when arriving to Nelson, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is very handy to a number of dining and entertainment options.

"Great Job!"
Mark W, 07 Septembre 2018

All the good reviews that I have read about this hotel are true. The hotel's room service food was really great. The breakfast was top notch, and dinner was really nice as well. From check in to check out - fantastic.

"Great Staff and good breakfast across the street"
gbirdi2000, 05 Septembre 2018

Geat Staff and good breakfast across the street. Good ambassadors for Nelson. Too bad the gym didn't open before 7:00am. It's hard to get 200 characters into this survey - wished they allowed less characters...

"A wonderful hotel that's within walking distance to the main drag"
DQUON, 03 Septembre 2018

Had a room on the main level that's pet friendly. When we checked in, there was a welcome package for our dog. The room was clean and in superb condition. Would have liked try the new Italian restaurant, but it was still under construction. Nevertheless there's other good restaurants nearby.

"Lovely staff, not impressed"
C K, 30 Août 2018

This spot was rated so highly that we booked without too much thought about what else might be there. The staff is lovely beyond compare, but the rooms are very, very skinny and the "pay more for the view" was of 3 electrical wires and an industrial area by the water. A/C was so loud that it was nearly impossible to sleep. The bathrooms were nicely updated and the hot tub was the cleanest I have EVER seen in a public hotel. Staff is very, very accommodating, but in general this is a low end stay.

"Nelson Stop"
Jim_R82, 21 Août 2018

Stayed at the Best Western in Nelson. Nicely updated decor and located at the end of Nelson's main street. Short walk to many shops and restaurants. We would stay there again. No breakfast .but they give a $5 coupon for breakfast at a cafe just up the street. Farm Fresh the cafe does indeed have a 4.99 breakfast, scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns just had to buy coffee. Excellent food in a family friendly atmosphere

"Exceeds Expectations"
JPHBPHD, 11 Août 2018

The entire leisure stay at the BW Baker Street was way above average....exceeded expectations. The overall service, courtesy and attentiveness of personnel was great, and location was central to Nelson's downtown services, restaurants, shopping, and a variety of biking, boating, and walking opportunities. First visit to Nelson...will definitely return to the city and the BW Baker Street Inn.

"Always Very Comfortable"
Bearcubb, 07 Août 2018

We just spent four nights here - again. We've stayed at this hotel before, and will definitely stay again. Staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and oh!, so very comfortable. The location is terrific - close to the shopping and amenities on Baker Street.

"Home away from home!"
Paul T, 04 Août 2018

Stayed recently for three nights - wonderfully clean - really friendly staff - great location. Nelson has such a walkable downtown. We didn't have a view but there was lots of natural light. Their restaurant is under renovations so they gave us vouchers for $5 at the wonderful one across the street, where amazingly they (currently) offer a complete breakfast for $4.99! Coffee is extra but delicious. Some reviews complained about the parking - it's across the street in a large, safe-seeming lot and was not an issue for us at all.

"Perfect location and stay"
lvreviewer, 30 Juillet 2018

We visited for an anniversary and loved it. We'd never stayed in a BW Plus before and, it at least this one, is a cut above; this hotel was on par with pricier hotels we've visited else where. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff throughout our week-long visit and we felt treated like honored guests. The king suite is pleasantly decorated/appointed (e.g. granite in the bathroom, cozy robes, pleasant soaps, good lighting) and roomy with good storage--handy for anyone with lots of luggage and a longer stay. Very clean throughout. The microwave and refrigerator in the room are very useful perks, especially for snacks after long hikes. We had one minor maintenance thing occur during our stay and it was immediately rectified --only mention it to show the responsiveness of the staff. Location was perfect for us--on the quieter end of Baker Street yet still in easy walking distance of everything. We were totally satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

"Love the Best Western Baker Street Inn"
lorrainea514, 29 Juillet 2018

I love staying at the Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The staff are amazing from checking in to checking out superior service always. This location is like my home away from home as my work sees me on the road a fair amount and I cannot say enough GREAT things about the Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn.

"Great Stay!"
SBYVR, 29 Juillet 2018

Have been through Nelson a few times and have not stayed. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here, rooms were very clean, staff was excellent. Although the breakfast area was under renovation, we were given vouchers for across the street. Recommendations for dinner were excellent! We would recommend this spot and Nelson as well for a great place to see and do in the Kootenays!

"Great location"
Susan S, 27 Juillet 2018

Easy ride today. Centrally located hotel in downtown Nelson. Friday night marketfest - live music, lots of Arts and clothing vendors one block away. Great recommendations by the the front desk for places to eat. Parking across the street. Great stop in the Kootenays!

"Great Location, Friendly Staff"
Cda_Local, 27 Juillet 2018

Our second stay at the Best Western Bakers Street did not disappoint. When you walk into the lobby you are greeted with the warmest, friendly welcome. Front desk staff is awesome and they will assist you in any way. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Nelson and it is quite at night. Rooms are modern, freshly renovated and nicely appointed. We like the Keurig coffee makers in the room and there is fresh coffee in the lobby if you want more. Parking is easier at the BW Baker Street than other Nelson hotels. Keep up the good work BW, can't wait to return. BTW, we went up to Woodbury and rented a boat and toured beautiful Kootenai Lake and we saw two other boats on the lake the entire day... such congestion LOL.

"Best Western Plus didn't have the Plus this time!"
Barb F, 27 Juillet 2018

Hotel was clean, beds were comfy but there wasn't one inch of green space - or pool- to enjoy sunshine. I have always appreciated BW for the fact that they include a very decent breakfast. This hotel does not (their restaurant was undergoing renovations) but provided a $5 coupon toward pricey (mostly do it yourself) restaurant half a block away. Very disappointing.

"Great Place!"
Peter F, 25 Juillet 2018

We had never stayed in Nelson before. This hotel was clean, we felt safe in it, and the staff was very friendly. Our room, on the top floor, faced Baker Street, the main street in town, but we weren't disturbed by any street noise. We liked the fact that the lobby had fresh coffee in the morning, and refreshing water in the afternoons. A very pleasant stay in a very pleasant city. We will stay here again if ever in this area.

"Friendliest front desk staff"
megs0918, 25 Juillet 2018

Our family stayed here for 4 nights and the staff always greeted us whenever we walked past them. They were also helpful with telling us about which restaurants and beaches to check out. The hotel room was modern and clean with a fridge and a microwave which was super helpful as we always had leftovers.

"Great hotel, great location"
orley m, 23 Juillet 2018

Nestled in with the many historic buildings in downtown Nelson BC this hotel provides modern accommodation. It provides comfort and great service. It is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, stores and pubs. The rooms are modern and spacious with 42" flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, Kurig coffeemaker and real glass tumblers for cocktail hour. The beds are very comfortable as are the pillows. The shower has great pressure and very soft water. The air conditioning works so well you could hang sides of beef in there. The rooms are very clean as is the entire hotel. Well designed and classy while still affordable. Six of us were on a bike run around Alberta and BC and after staying at Best Western Plus in Nelson, we booked them along the way back in Okotoks as well. I am going back to BC in August and have booked BWP for the half way point in Lethbridge. We stayed in alot of hotels on our bike trip and some were good, some just OK, some not good or OK, but you can't beat BWP in my opinion. Highly recommended.

"Comfortable and clean"
Titannia99, 17 Juillet 2018

Stayed here for work and will return. The room was very clean. The Kuerig in the room worked great and the breakfast was yummy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was simple and fast. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great Place to Stay in Nelson, BC"
Sirus2007, 09 Juillet 2018

Very nice updated rooms. Very clean and friendly staff offering excellent service. When I was there there complimentary breakfast area was under Reno so they offered a voucher for I believe it was $5 off at a local restaurant just up and across the street. It was a very hip place with a great breakfast and service. It was called Farm Fresh Cafe. Nelson offers an absurd amount of restaurants for such a small town. So anyone can find anything they like.

"Overpriced"
BobFarr2000, 04 Juillet 2018

We have a fondness for this hotel and have stayed there over many years. Of late the price us not warrented. No breakfast included just a lame 5$ coupon to walk up the street with. That barely gets a cup of coffee and piece if bread. Compared to the other 9 BW hotels in the past 2 weeks this is over priced at $140 let alone$200.

"Very comfortable hotel"
DaveQ2324, 29 Juin 2018

We were given a friendly welcome by the receptionists on our arrival. The room was very nce with a comfy bed and lovely bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable. As the hotel was having renovations carried out in the restaurant we were given five dollars each to spend on breakfast in a cafe across the road. The cooked breakfast was excellent and we received change from the five dollars. We cannot fault this hotel.

"Neat little place "
Lisa C, 25 Juin 2018

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was under renovations so we were given a credit at the restaurant at the end of the street. It was really tasty and healthy. All the staff were friendly.

"Over the Top Polite & Helpful Staff"
Tiana8970, 18 Juin 2018

All of the staff were incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgeable. The restaurant was under construction and the city was under water advisory - but the staff made every attempt to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Much appreciated!

"Impressed with how clean it was..."
Nova52, 03 Juin 2018

Stayed here for one night. Parking is across the street in a lot, lots of room. Restaurant presently closed for renovations. You get a $5 voucher for a cafe across the street. I personally was not impressed with the breakfast or coffee there. The AC is relatively quiet. The windows do not open. The mattress in the room I had was very firm, pillows good. Front desk staff friendly. The room and bathroom looked extremely well cleaned. I would stay here again. The rooms in the back have the train running past. The rooms in the front would have Baker Street, which I don't think is very busy at night.

"Very good"
Richard S, 24 Mai 2018

Easy check in, convenient location and complementary parking. Good advice from staff about the local area, restaurants, and sightseeing opportunities. Nice local Galaapples on the counter at checkout!

"Friendly staff ... great location "
QMartin007, 19 Mai 2018

Very attentive and friendly staff. Assistance with recommendations for dining spots were spot on. Very clean . Thorough house keeping team. Good value. The breakfast voucher for Farm Fresh was appreciated - the hotel restaurant was closed for a refresh. Location is within walking distance to dining and shopping. Keep up the great work !

"Worth it!!"
bmbOKO, 14 Mai 2018

Great staff and very clean hotel, nicely located in the town. The parking is acorss the street which is not great, but that was the only minor issue. I woiuld recommend and would stay again while in Nelson.

"Nelson, Canada"
jhakajh, 11 Mai 2018

We definitely loved this place. Everyone was very nice. They welcome you at the front desk. The rooms very nice and clean. The restaurant was being remodeled, for breakfast had to go across the street to a nice restaurant. They had what we wanted for breakfast. Very nice and friendly. We will definitely be back, we loved the town, the parks, and the people.

"Wonderful Hotel"
U3554TCambers, 07 Mai 2018

Great clean hotel! Comfy beds and great staff who were extremely accommodating with our gymnastics team. They went above and beyond ensuring the team had a wonderful stay. Great location downtown within easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants.

"My view"
katchurch19, 11 Avril 2018

I was there with my family for the dance competitions. Hard to find a reasonable priced restaurant after 9 and the price for the room seemed high. The view was a picture on a brick wall. I wish I had some sort of view. Nelson is beautiful and I wish I could of seen more of it.

"Great Location"
KimJackC, 06 Avril 2018

Our family just spent 2 days in Nelson at the Best Western, every member of the staff were pleasant, polite and full of local information. If you have a question just ask! Fresh coffee, water and fruit were readily available in the lobby. Our room was clean. The restaurant was closed for renovations. There was a hot tub and fitness room.

"Simple Smiling good Service and Great Value"
BobFarr2000, 06 Mars 2018

Clean - that's the operative word for the suites and the hotel in general. Housekeeping is great. The front end staff are the best we have met and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable especially Chariza. What a smile. (hope I spelled your name right). The hotel location is great for us who like to visit the town on foot. Its is an industrial town with great history so noises do enter even the best rooms. We prefer the outside rooms in the newer wing. We visited twice this winter, a week at a time. But this is the umpteenth year we have stayed here for the skiing nearby. Hotel is undergoing yet another renovation nearing completion as is adjacent restaurant. We will be back again next winter .. maybe sooner.

"Great location"
Titannia99, 24 Février 2018

There are pros and cons to this hotel. The pros include great location on Baker Street (walking distance to shops, restaurants etc), friendly staff, ample parking, super clean rooms and really comfy beds. The restaurant attached was closed and so we were given breakfast vouchers for a restaurant just across the street. Food was excellent there and service was also good. The main cons are the noise from adjoining rooms was high, no pool and very very bad view from many of the rooms. We felt claustrophobic as all the rooms on our side (and 2 floors below) looked at a wall. They have a mural of the lake as if that takes the place of looking at the real views that are all around except for the rooms in this hotel. The cost was high in my opinion given these cons.

"Nice Welcome "
Michelle C, 17 Février 2018

Great location to be able to walk and shop Baker St. Close to all restaurants and shops. Staff was lovely and welcoming-made necessary changes we asked for without issue. Great for the pooch as we were able to work at the back and let him out. Spacious room, clean.

"Bad check out experience"
G6351JBjasonh, 06 Février 2018

I was with a party of three adults and we requested the roll away bed. Bad idea!!! Very uncomfortable and just thrown in the room for you to make yourself. Front desk said, “that's what you get” and didn't even ask if we wanted to split the bill; just charged the card that was on the reservation even though we specifically requested splitting the bill when making the reservation.

"Fantastic stay!"
Ken N, 10 Janvier 2018

We enjoyed another visit to the Baker Street Best Western. We only stayed one night but would not have stayed anywhere else. The service at the front desk was excellent and the complementary breakfast was perfect. Express check out was very helpful as well. Thank you kindly.

"Great place to stay"
126harolds, 20 Décembre 2017

Nice location with great parking, staff and attached restaurant. The property is located close to all amenities that Nelson has to offer and is centrally located to access the railway district, local skiing area, historic district and the waterfront. Great looking property with a great gym and hot tub.

"Nelson"
Smeans2017, 01 Décembre 2017

I was in Nelson for my sons wedding. Plans changed, I deeded a room with two beds and then I wanted to exchange my room one night for one of the jacuzzis tub rooms and let the newlyweds stay in it. The staff were Amazing! They reorganized rooms and let us have a late checkout. They even had a small bottle of Champagne and glasses waiting for them. Restaurant was good. Sunday brunch spread was Fantastic

"Great Place to Stay"
Gary S, 30 Novembre 2017

From entering the hotel the staff welcomed us. They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was excellent. We had a great nights sleep. Breakfast in the restaurant was great. I will plan to stay at this hotel on my next trip through the area.

"Nice hotel and friendly staff!"
prismueller, 23 Novembre 2017

We got in at 2am to our hotel and staff were quick to get us to our room with no issues. Had a good but short sleep and morning staff were also very friendly and helpful! would have liked to stay another night but had to head back for a 15 hour drive home. Nice hotel!

"A perfectly good place to stay in Nelson Canada!"
lanikai1960, 15 Novembre 2017

This Best Western was very clean, which is most important to me. The check-in was easy, the staff was polite, it had a decent little exercise room and hot tub, and an okay breakfast restaurant with a nice waitress. It is located on the Main Street and Nelson, so you can walk to any restaurant or bar or store from the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

"Clean and accommodating!"
nicolefX7064VC, 13 Novembre 2017

Great staff, clean and newly renovated. No pool for the kids so I feel the rate could be less to entice families to stay but overall we had a great experience! Thanks to a friends recommendation we ordered room service for breakfast (only $3 a plate!)

"Very Comfortable"
Travel_Reflections, 12 Novembre 2017

Very clean and comfortable hotel that is conveniently located. Free parking in lot across the street. Friendly and efficient front desk staff, easy check-in/out. We even forgot our Chromecast in the TV and they called us within 30 mins of checking out so we were able to come back and get it. Had everything we needed - would definitely stay again when in Nelson.

"Great stay"
jennifermU8617AF, 29 Octobre 2017

Clean, friendly service. Quiet location on Baker Street. Walking distance to shops and enjoyed my stay. Recommend this hotel to others wanting to be in the heart of downtown Neslon. Comfy beds and hot tub is clean with not too many chemicals.

"Quality and Comfort"

I travel 75% of the year, and I very seldom write these reviews, I felt compelled to comment on the cleanliness and friendly people who work at this Hotel, both are special. the rooms are always spotless and well maintained, the staff is so very helpful and friendly, the location in the town is quite nice, it is very close to shopping and some fine restaurants. the hotel is an old style hotel, brick and 4 floors, but it is very well maintained. I try to get rooms with the refrigerator and microwave and couch, they are very comfortable.

"Great place to stay for business or Leisure"
131normap, 27 Octobre 2017

Comforts of home, beautiful décor, great staff helpful, fun.. Just a great place to stay.. Central for walking down Baker and enjoying Nelson BC... When traveling as I do nice to have a comfortable room and great people makes the stay very enjoyable.. Its like your going to visit friends..

"Clean and modern"
nelsongrc, 25 Octobre 2017

Nice room - I did not expect the view to be the across street parking lot but I could have a view of the interior courtyard. Internet did not work first time tried - had to call - it was fixed. Don't bother with the restaurant because there are plenty of places close by that are better and less expensive. I would stay again because of its location.

"Will stay again"
Shadow R, 17 Octobre 2017

Excellent service when interacting with staff. Had my dog along and the room was good. Bed was comfortable. We were on lvl 1 and it was quiet. Were there one nite a Friday. When I return to Nelson I will stay here again. I use a cane most days and did not find having to park across the street a bother. It was a short walk to hotel a hop skip and no jump!

"Not competative pricing"
dondD6196YG, 10 Octobre 2017

Price was higher than other Best westerns we stayed in during the same week nor was breakfast included. Parking was limited - How ever the room it self was just fine. The heater was noisy but effective. We received a gift package containing 2 cokes and a couple of chocolate bars which was appreciated. Staff was very friendly.

"Great hotel!!"
C1880RTwayneh, 08 Octobre 2017

Great location and easy to walk to any place in Nelson. Exceptional staff! Room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hot tub and workout facilities were good. Towels were provided in pool area which is nice! Highly recommend this hotel!

"Love to stay at the Best Western Baker Street Inn."
lorrainea514, 07 Octobre 2017

I stay at the Bestwestern Baker Street Inn when I come to Nelson as the rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfortable. The staff at the Best Western are always professional and checking in to see if there is anything they can help with. Love to stay at the Best Western Baker Street Inn.

"Well located and comfortable"
blangf, 06 Octobre 2017

We stayed two nights. Rooms are clean and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable. The staff at the desk are friendly ,knowledgeable and helpful .The hotel is close walking distance to resturants and shops in the main downtown area of the city. Hotel has a good resturant for breakfast and agin the staff are friendly and helpful and great service. We would go back agin

"Pleasant Stay"
jeffz375, 05 Octobre 2017

Hotel and restaurant staff were friendly and professional, room was average, bathroom floor could have been cleaner, but overall reasonable cleanliness. Parking across the street is not the most convenient, but no real choice considering the location of the building. Food in the restaurant was good, staff was great, pricey though. Overall, good place to stay, just don't expect any extras.

"Great hotel"
Helen T, 05 Octobre 2017

A lovely hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. The rooms were lovely and very clean. Breakfast was extremely nice, again very friendly and efficient staff, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

"Good Location"
Nate C, 04 Octobre 2017

Good Location and easy walk to all of the main drag for eating and shopping. Some complain about the parking but it is just across the street and really not an issue. Rooms are clean, pretty standard. Front desk was helpful and friendly.

"In town for one night with my Mom"
Vera J, 03 Octobre 2017

This hotel was very accommodating and accessible for those in a wheelchair, also in a excellent location for walking to shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had supper delivered from the Hume hotel, which came relatively fast, and it was super yummy!

"No surprises or disappointments with Best Western"
geraldm104, 02 Octobre 2017

On a recent holiday we again choose a BW hotel just based on past experiences with them. As usual they did not disappoint and there were no significant problems. clean, quiet and nicely located to enjoy the sites. We would stay here again.

"A thoroughly enjoyable stay"
WizardBristol, 21 Septembre 2017

We arrived at lunchtime, and our room was ready so we were able to check in straightaway - many thanks to the friendly and helpful young lady at the front desk who made us feel so welcome, giving a great first impression. Unfortunately I can't remember her name. Our room was clean, fresh, comfortable, well equipped and spacious, and although it overlooked the busy main street, it was quiet at night. Every member of staff we encountered during our 2 night stay was genuinely friendly, but a special mention for Lisa in the restaurant - she was very efficient, nothing was too much trouble, and gave us some great pointers on the places we were visiting while on our trip. A shoutout for Shane who took the time to talk to us while we enjoyed a glass of wine in the hotel courtyard, and also Sharon at the front desk - she always went out of her way to pass the time of day and made a great restaurant recommendation for our wedding anniversary dinner. We stayed here several years ago and were so happy with the hotel and level of service that we had no hesitation in staying again this time - we were not disappointed.

"Great Stay"
gizbot, 12 Septembre 2017

The hotel was being renovated while we stayed but it was still a great place....great staff and comfortable beds. The parking was across the street so it is not the best for loading and in loading luggage but not a deal breaker. The hotel is located in a great area of Nelson to walk and do some shopping or site seeing.

"One of the best places to stay"
w d, 11 Septembre 2017

I really appreciate exceptional service as I travle alot through BC. The thing that impresses me is the 100% commitment to customer service. The rooms are very clean and not cramped like some places. I have stayed in the Hume and it was pretty neat but for travel I would choose Best Western in Nelson. The only thing I can say is not great is the restaurant it's basically out classed but all the amazing place to eat in Nelson.

"Good stay, but"
Dennis E, 09 Septembre 2017

The Best Western is a great location, except for loading and unloading your baggage - the parking lot is across the street, which is fine, but the main street is very busy, traffic wise. Our room was very noisy due to the building's ventilation system, so check out sound levels before unpacking.

"Pleaseant and Engaging"
larrymD7473BQ, 08 Septembre 2017

Having ridden for over 8 hours on a motorcycle, they greeted us with smiles, cold water or hot coffee. We were put up in the courtyard section of the hotel, no view to the outside world, just the cool pic on the courtyard wall. Business or pleasure I would stay in that wing as it was very quiet and peaceful. Bike parking was across the street, but there was more than 20 bikes so we were put together for security. no hints of tampering. Overall super central to walk to pubs and shopping.

"Very good"
Wilf B, 30 Août 2017

We found the location to be very good, the girls at the front counter were very helpful and a real joy to deal with.Would stay here again.Did not use restaurant as there are so many options in Nelson.Being located right on Baker street was easy to find.

"Nelson visit"
Adam S, 28 Août 2017

Nice hotel on the way into town. Easy access & parking. No need for the car after check in, many local bars & eateries just a few blocks away. The Baker Street Grill attached to the hotel is convenient too.

"Good service and clean but small rooms and pricey"
RFurley, 26 Août 2017

The hotel is nice and within walking distance of most amenities, restaurants, etc. The quality is up to par with most BW Plus locations. Parking is free and directly across the street. What sort of didn't sit well with me is that the picture online make it seem much bigger than it is. I drove by it twice on Baker Street because it just blends in and I was expecting a stand alone hotel. My room was also super small, although it was just a one queen bed room, it was almost claustrophobic. The big plus is that it was typical good service that I expect at BW and very clean and well kept. I may come back but for the price I will likely try something different and check out less expensive hotels in Nelson.

"Would stay again"
DustyTron, 26 Août 2017

As far as Nelson goes there are a lot of junky hotels. This one is in the top 3 for good hotels. Will stay here again next time I'm in town. Close to restaurants and bars. NOT near the beach though. A+

"Travel for pleasure"
B6181ETbarrym, 19 Août 2017

Good clean modern rooms, hallways a little dark for me. good restaurant especially when you need to be sure that allergies can be dealt with.(there were many restaurants nearby but not sure how careful they would be with food prep) I was surprised that continental breakfast was not included as I thought this was standard BW. But the restaurant opened early at 630am and kept open til 9pm, which was better than other topline hotel nearby) Staff were friendly and good experience on checkout. value good when you book on preferred rates and it lacks a view and parking is tight. still compared to other places in Nelson it was the best choice for me.

"Nice hotel"
Louisa K, 18 Août 2017

Nice clean hotel, freindly staff. A little over priced though. Good location, right on main drag. Would stay again if I could get a better rate. Next time I will call instead of booking online to negotiate a cheaper price.

"Disappointing"
azzure, 14 Août 2017

First of all, we were given a room whose windows looked out onto a small paved courtyard which was available for use by all hotel guests. We had to keep the curtains drawn to ensure our privacy. Secondly, out of the dozens of Best Western Plus hotels we have stayed in this is the first to serve no continental breakfast of any kind. Advertising should make this clear as guests will obviously be expecting this amenity. Finally, we received a call several hours after leaving the hotel to tell us that we had been undercharged by $1 and that the hotel would be processing our credit card again to recover that dollar. Ridiculous. Will never stay here again.

"Over night road side stop"
User, 11 Août 2017

We booked from a few hours down the road and were told the government rate was not available or other types of AARP & or association discounts. The room was pricey but we've always enjoyed Best Western consistency. Yes it's a weekend and I know there's a music festival in here but we felt this was not good value for the dollar. We've stayed at just as nice hotels in this chain for a much more reasonable rate, esp considering this branch does not offer the usual continental breakfast, lobby coffee or other amenities I've become accustomed to with this chain. This hotel is clean, tidy, modern, the service seams to be very good. The average traveler can find clean tidy & comparable accommodation in close proximity. As a motorcycle enthusiast I also like to have my bike closer than some parking lot across the street..

"Over priced, less product, poor staff"
laurieg533, 09 Août 2017

The hotel is old but we paid more than any other BW in the world? We did not even get breakfast? The staff dropped the ball on check-in, gave me incorrect information at the restaurant. The room had old air conditioning that kept me awake from 3am on!!!!

"Convenient and Clean"
F2547UNdaveg, 08 Août 2017

Good stay. Not the greatest views but we were within a short walk of downtown, and only slept there. We got our views from doing stuff in the mountains. Clean rooms and bathrooms, which I am a stickler for (weird, I know) when I pay for accommodations.

"Most Memorable Stay"
paulvH6780AO, 08 Août 2017

I stayed two weeks to bury my wife's ashes. My wife and I would always stay at the Baker Street Inn. The staff made my stay a most welcomed one. I was treated with respect, great service and empathy. When I checked out with one of the staff, I was asked if I needed anything else. I said I needed a hug. The staff person came right out from the front desk and into the lobby and gave me the biggest hug. I was not only treated as a welcomed guest, but as a human being that was grieving the loss of his wife. First Class visit all the way! Thank you Baker Street Inn!

"Really nice place"
469rashmik, 05 Août 2017

Service and most staff are amazing. Wonderful hotel to stay for both pleasure and business. Rooms are a great size and beds are very comfortable. Hotel is very clean and updated in decor and look. Very close to different restaurants and shops.

"Will definitely return"
511diannar, 03 Août 2017

I have stayed at this hotel several times because it has a proven record - clean and comfortable with a very professional, friendly staff. Nelson is a great place to visit and Baker Street Inn is first rate in my opinion.

"Best in Nelson"
Webber. D, 31 Juillet 2017

The staff the location are the best! you wont be disappointed. located on Baker street (the main street in Nelson) everything is within walking distance. good parking. motorcycle friendly. secure. good restaurant, laundry, Beds are sooo comfy!

"A very professionally run hotel."
Dave C, 29 Juillet 2017

We stay at many Best Westerns, mostly Plus Level. The range of quality in the hotels is amazing. Being a Best Western Plus does mean the customer will receive a good quality product for the money. Baker Street BW is an example of a hotel that gives great value for the price paid. The staff is friendly, and efficient. The rooms are spotless.( we had three rooms for our group) . The adjoining restaurant is as good or better as any in Nelson, BC. Perhaps, the only downside is the hotel parking across the street. Large trucks park there taking up a couple of parking vehicle stalls. Baker Street BW is a fine hotel and we would go back.

"Fantastic staff"
D5186YUstephenm, 29 Juillet 2017

We have stayed at Baker Street a few times now and we really like it. It is really good value for money and the cleanliness is exceptional. We had 5 kids with us and the adjoining rooms were great. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the staff are all so lovely. They all went out of there was to make our stay great with one even bringing us home grown veg in as she knew it was a favourite of our daughter. Well worth staying if you're in Nelson.

"Great place to stay"
larasE6019YX, 24 Juillet 2017

Friendly staff, great food in the restaurant, pet friendly, the room are clean and modern, it's in a great location. All round It was just a wonderful place to stay and I would stay at the Nelson BC Best Western again it a heart beat.

"BW Nelson"
967Micha967, 23 Juillet 2017

Horrendous experience. No confirmation to inform us that our room was changed effectively putting us in a room that couldn't accomodate us. Blamed central booking and said soooo sad. We normally love BW and took our business elsewhere.

"Best Western Nelson mid-July 2017 3 nights"
609done, 22 Juillet 2017

Good location, generally clean & comfortable, friendly staff, no problems. They let us borrow a bucket and rag to clean our motorcycles. We did not use the hotel restaurant because we wanted the granola-yoghurt-berry breakfast at Kootenay Bakery up on Baker Street and there are many good restaurants for lunch or dinner in Nelson. No problem with Internet but I only used iPod a little each night.

"Great value, great staff, great experience"
grahammI1388ZS, 20 Juillet 2017

Was impressed with the room size, bed comfort. Staff were excellent, and price was very good for peak season. Would stay there again. Location at the end of baker was also very convenient. I will seek out a best western on our next stay it was that good

"Excellent Location in Downtown Nelson"
Monica K, 19 Juillet 2017

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus Baker Street. The room was a good size and seems to have been updated in the last few years. It was quiet and the bed was really comfortable. It's located at the railway yard end of Baker St but I heard no trains. Within a 15 minute walk there are very good restaurants and bars, including Falls & the Savoy (Savoy brewery makes excellent craft beers) and Relish. It's only about a 10 minute walk (5 minute run) to the TransCanada Trail that follows the south shore of Kootenay Lake. I was there on business but I would definitely stay there again with my spouse or with friends.

"Love nelson"
Russ F, 17 Juillet 2017

Lov3ly hotel walking distance to all that nelson has to offer in the historic downtown area...lotsa parking...comfy beds ..friendly staff..the weather was hot so having places in walkimg distance was nice

"Right in the heart of old town attractions"
Kevin C, 13 Juillet 2017

The staff were very friendly and showed great pride in their city. We were offered coupons for local attraction and directions to the the Gyro view point for awesome city views and well cared for gardens.Beautiful heritage builds right down the street.

"Always a great stay"
lorrainea514, 06 Juillet 2017

I always have a great stay in Nelson when I stay at the Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn. The staff are amazing and make each and every stay a great experience. The bed are very comfortable and make for a great nights rest when I am traveling out of town.

"Family vacation"
L6437YDpeterp, 03 Juillet 2017

We had a very good experience. The facility was very modern and very well maintained. The staff was very helpful and courtiers. Overall a memorable experience. I would not hesitate to stay at this facility again.

"Very nice "
SCgirl888, 02 Juillet 2017

The nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. Great location, friendly staff. Nice soft and comfy bed linens, big bathroom. Free parking across the street. We stayed with our pet and had fairly handy access to an outside grass area.

"Nelson BC Best Western"
donnapR1864ZK, 30 Juin 2017

Great staff, great beds and very clean. Restaurant was ok but staff recommended the Hume Hotel Library Restaurant and we loved it. Would definitely stay here again. Love the area the BW was in as it was close to downtown and lots of nice little shops. Great town!

"One of the Best, Best Westerns."
babaDADA, 26 Juin 2017

Great hotel at the bottom of Baker St. Accommodation was excellent, well maintained and spotless. We had 2 very enjoyable days there and we would definitely go back. Staff were very good, Sharon in particular deserves a mention.

"Great clean hotel with lots of room. Very accessible pool too!"
Amy M, 26 Juin 2017

Nice clean room with tasteful couch and decorations. Bed was comfortable it was within close proximity to shops in town. I did not use the pool but noted that it was accessible - it had a lift for people with mobility limitations to get in and out of the pool!!!! While I myself don't use these accommodations, this sensitivity to the needs of people of all abilities and disabilities made me love this hotel even more!

"Very nice last minute deal."
robertlU1389SL, 25 Juin 2017

We decided to take a chance on getting a room when arriving for our short trip in BC. The Prestige didn't have any rooms on the water so we opted for the better bargain and more convenient location on the main street of Nelson. Walking distance to everything, very nicely updated rooms, comfortable bed (except no king sized beds in the whole town), and great big TV.

"Excellent choice in Nelson BC"
robcG5001RT, 24 Juin 2017

Very nice, comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Great location within walking distance of the shops and cafes of the enchanting main street of Nelson. A great choice for anyone visiting this region.

"Beautiful British Columbia!"
Nancy M, 23 Juin 2017

We stayed at this hotel as a family. We had beautiful adjoining rooms. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is ideal for walking to shops & restaurants! Lovely visit with our family, including our 2 year old granddaughter!

"Great staff"
Greg C, 19 Juin 2017

Very kind staff were quick to solve my fitness room access problem (wouldn't unlock with my key) when they were clearly busy trying to catch up with their paperwork. It's nice to see staff that are professional and courteous. My thanks for your help with my trivial problem! Rooms are what one would expect from BW. Clean & well maintained, as they should be.

"Vacation Stay"
brianedwardd, 18 Juin 2017

Excellent staff the reception was very welcoming and offered suggestions on places to see and recommendations for dining and entertainment for our visit. We took in the first farmers market for the season nice market with something for everyone local produce, fruit, baking and crafts.

"Worth the detour through Nelson"
Leames, 13 Juin 2017

Pleasantly surprised at how much I like the BW in historic groovy old town. Had a comfortable room in rear overlooking mountains and glimpse of river, with small fridge & even a microwave. Glasses rather than plastic cups is nice. TV has dozens of channels. Breakfast not included. Downtown and walking distance to everything. Baker Street grill attached with excellent ribs & chicken, also serves breakfast. Great service in restaurant & hotel. Will definitely come back. Don't miss the streetcar loop by the water, followed by wonderful lunch at the Prestige Convention Centre patio. This is well worth the detour.

"Misleading"
A4422CGmargaretd, 12 Juin 2017

When you pull up in front of this hotel, it looks like an old hotel. You get surprised when you walk inside. It is obvious that they have done renovations and have kept this hotel up to date. Very clean, very comfortable, quite up to date. Great place to stay and you are right on Baker St. The only down side is the limited parking outside and across the street.

"Average stay"
E2682TObrians, 04 Juin 2017

We were expecting a little more having just stayed in the BWOsoyoos. The was no breakfast included, no pool, the room we had for a family of 6 was just a room... no separate bedroom area, the hot tub was broken, the sink was plugged and the coffee maker was broken in our room. The staff was amazing though! Very helpful and friendly.. they did give us a 10% discount due to the plugged sink. Restaurant food was good but not included in room price which added a lot more to the bill for a family of 6.

"Good stay, nearly awful (courtesy of Expedia.ca)"
Brian M, 02 Juin 2017

We booked using Expedia.ca and certainly obtained a good rate-deal - BUT, what Expedia.ca does NOT tell you (which we learned) is Expedia always requests an 'accessible/handicapped room', which in this case in on the lower floor and the only natural light was from a window to a light well - virtually NO natural light. Needless to say we did not ask for that, and FORTUNATELY the excellent staff at this hotel were able to provide us with a superior room for nominal added cost (and worth every penny more). Overall, very happy here. Yes, they are doing some renovations, but that did not cause any issue whatsoever. We didn't eat in the hotel, but we'd return to stay here anytime. This hotel is also a sister-hotel with the Hume Hotel in Nelson, also an excellent place to stay (have stayed there years before). This is a well run hotel, very well trained staff. Thanks a bundle! We had a great time! :-) BM

"Crappy"
196meghans, 29 Mai 2017

I was extreamly dissatisfied with this hotel. The amenities listed were not working due to renovations, the restaurant was expensive and not that good. The staff were nice but did nothing to make us feel special. Overall not impressed. Will not be going back to that hotel

"Relaxing stay"
BruceandKaren, 24 Mai 2017

We had a great stay. It was very comfortable and newly renovated. The location was good and we had a quiet room. the staff was very nice and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you staff.

"One night in Nelson"
Rita R, 23 Mai 2017

This hotel takes pets and even gave a little treat bag. A nice touch for sure. The location is great. We didn't stay long enough to use any amenities but the staff were super nice and friendly. Check in and check out were quick and easy. Parking was great across the street as well.

"Best hotel in Nelson b.c."
Samuel R, 14 Mai 2017

Wonderful staff, friendly, excellent service, rooms have very comfortable beds with micros, fridge and very roomy. Had handicap room which had all the comfort needed for the handicapped. Restaurant had good variety of food and service was great

"Great place, great people, great service!!"
tomasoro, 03 Mai 2017

I did not have big expectations as the name Best Western does not convey much to me, and this was a ski trip to Whitewater, so I did not care much about accommodations. People at the reception desk were always professional, nice, and welcoming. I do not give much about the obligatory chit-chat that sometimes takes place in small hotels, bit here I really felt staff started friendly and sincere conversations (maybe it's just how nice Canadians in general are...., and Nelsonians in particular). Hotel was clean and my room was well-appointed. It's nice to have the voucher to exchange at the restaurant next door. Thanks everybody at this great hotel. I sincerely look forward to stay with you next time I go to Whitewater.

"Work Trip Will Go Back"
tracyrO387JO, 03 Mai 2017

I was working in Nelson and work put me up at the Best Western. The front desk staff greeted me each time I got off work and returned to the hotel by name. There was a problem with my room, the second day and they quickly corrected the problem. It was an excellent experience and I would stay there next time I go to Nelson hopefully for pleasure and not work.

"Satisfied!"
627irishg, 27 Avril 2017

Very clean and nice room. The breakfast in the restaurant is good. However, the restaurant open at 7:00 am during weekend unfortunately, we need to wait for them to open and had some breakfast, as we didn't go outside to get some food. But overall satisfied and meet the expectations.

"Overall Great Base"
Y8339YZdavidg, 23 Avril 2017

Hotel was a great base for my business while in the City of Nelson. Would definitely stay at the Baker Street Inn again when in the area. Highly recommended. My room was on the street level making access convenient.

"Old fashioned excellence in customer service!"
Judy L, 22 Avril 2017

In Jan. of 2017, we experienced a house fire and, as you can imagine, we were in terrible shock and had left with not much more than the clothes on our back, our dog, a family quilt and smelling like chemical smoke. We had nothing for amenities like: razors, shampoo, brush, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. etc. Raya, the front desk attendant, was not only professional and efficient but exceedingly kind and lent us much comfort during this time. She went above and beyond to accommodate these simple needs for us and we will never forget the old fashioned excellence in customer service! And, if I might add,....there are even more people to recognize.... the stellar staff (Tammy and friends) who also continually give incredibly professional, friendly and fun customer service at the adjoining restaurant, the Baker Street Grill. Don't miss out on the opportunity to frequent both of these businesses! It will renew your faith in good customer service.

"Nelson BC"
gailh68, 15 Avril 2017

Hotel location made it easy to get to various places in the centre of town by foot. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking was across the street from the hotel so easy to get back and forth from the hotel when car was needed. Location was right as you entered Nelson so great after having driven from Kelowna.

"Dining in the Baker Street Grill"
Kootenay A, 09 Avril 2017

Our group of 24 showed up unexpectedly to the Baker Street Grill and the two servers, Lauren and Amanda were amazing. There were times during the evening, when they were actually running in an effort to get us served in a timely manner! Very impressive!

"Good location at the end of historic Baker St."
William V, 02 Avril 2017

We wanted to have a hotel close to the historic downtown of Nelson, so we chose this hotel. It is at the end of Baker St, so it was an easy walk to see the sights of Baker St. They also have a good restaurant on site, which we chose to eat dinner at, which was also good and reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff, who ensure that they look after their guests. We had a minor issue with the room that we were in, so I went to the front desk to talk about it. They did not hesitate to listen to our concern and immediately offered us another room, an upgraded one, to ensure our stay was a good one. The staff need to be complimented on this great service. We thought the rate was a little high but this is the going rate in this city, as others are priced in the same range.

"Stay here"
Derek W, 26 Mars 2017

Great location easy to find. Staff in hotel and restaurant are very professional and care if your happy. They have knowledge of the surrounding area and can give you information on what's to see . I'll be back.

"Clean and comfortable"
Matt C, 25 Mars 2017

We ended up checking in last minute after a previous booking fell through and we were really glad we did. The room is big, comfortable, clean and centrally located. Excellent customer service from front desk staff Katy and Sharon-Marie. The Falls Music Lounge and Bloom Nightclub are across the street...great location.

"Great staff, Hotel and location! "
Zimm_10, 25 Mars 2017

This hotel is located conveniently to all the downtown has to offer. There are so many nearby restaurants that have amazing food. The hotel staff is so helpful with ideas to make your stay the best possible. I love Nelson. I can't wait to return. We will definitely stay here.

"Pleasant Stay, Clean and Comfortable"
Gretz, 27 Novembre 2016

Check in went well. Lobby looks nice and comfortable. Room was a bit on the smaller side, beds comfortable, good water pressure in the shower. Convenient to have a fridge in the room. Opted for the $5 restaurant coupon in lieu of cleaning service. Small hot tub in an odd location and no pool for kids. Parking across the Street. Park under a light, I caught two teenagers looking in my Truck the first night when I was parked to the back of the lot. Overall a good stay and we would return.

"Hmmmmm"
amandawO9201RE, 18 Novembre 2016

Not the best experience but not the worst... very average rooms clean enough, hot tub is tiny and in a odd location... restaurant attached has mediocre food that is priced a bit high and some staff that should probably find different lines of work...

"Clean Quiet Pet Friendly"
J J, 15 Novembre 2016

Our recent stay at this hotel was great! The hotel and the rooms are very clean. We appreciated being able to bring our little dog (a Chihuahua) and saw many other responsible dog owners there as well. Also, there was a hockey tournament going on while we were there, but they kept all the kids respectful (and quiet). The hotel staff were wonderful, and the restaurant was excellent (highly recommend the eggs benny : ) The hotel has coin operated laundry...which is very awesome : ) One more note...I am a smoker...I appreciated having a safe quiet space (outside) where I could smoke. Thank you Baker Street Best Western, we will definitely stay with you again at our next opportunity : )

"Very Comfortable 2 night stay"
TimD33564, 15 Novembre 2016

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights while visiting family in Nelson. Ample parking in lot across the street. Staff friendly. Rooms were clean and contained all the amenities we required. Hotel is right on the main drag (Baker St.) so not far from shopping. Something different I hadn't seen before, they gave us $5 coupons for breakfast if we didn't require our rooms cleaned while we were there, which we used in the attached restaurant. Nice workout room and hot tub which we utilized on both nights. Was off season, but good value for our money. Would stay here again.

"Happy Staff, Happy Guest"
CaatyW, 14 Novembre 2016

I regularly stay at the BW Plus Baker street. the staff are fun, warm, welcoming, professional. THEY are the reason I keep staying here. The hotel itself is well situated at one end of Baker street, there is free hotel parking across the street. It is a great place to stay when you want to walk around and check out all the eclectic shops. the Outter Clove which is an awesome restaurant is a couple blocks away. The hotel is very quite despite being on a busy street.. The beds have always been clean and comfortable, there's a work desk which is great because we visit while on business. Their internet access has never been a problem, the signal is usually strong and doesn't drop. The restaurant staff are great also. When I go to Nelson, I don't even consider other hotels, I pick up the phone, call one of the great front desk agents, they set me up and I have everything I need when I get there! This hotel is absolutely amazing!

"Great Location"
Joelle W, 08 Novembre 2016

I have stayed here several times and love it each time. We can park in the lot and walk almost anywhere we would want to go. Just down the street from my favorite restaurant and some great coffee shops. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Staff always wonderfully friendly and the lobby is very enjoyable.

"Family vacation"
Dennis M, 17 Octobre 2016

We have been staying here for many years and they keep getting better. Their rooms and their restaurant are always immaculate. Their staff is very friendly and their prices are reasonable. Their location on Baker Street is so convenient for shopping . There is lots of free guest parking right across the street . For the very best hotel deal in all of Nelson we recommend the Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn. Try it, you will love it.

"An enjoyable stay"
cwill4573, 16 Octobre 2016

A very good hotel - nice comfortable beds and the cleanest place I've seen in a long time - everything in my room was spotless ! Front desk staff were very helpful in straighting out my reservation ... (wrong dates booked)

"Quiet and Comfortable"
Fred S, 16 Octobre 2016

What I liked most about this hotel was the quiet room. When the doors close in the hallway they don't bang, they close softly and quietly. We didn't hear other guests through the walls either. Nice! Another feature i like is heading for breakfast without having to leave the building and it is a very good restaurant too. Also, Nice!

"Room was nice but very small"
kathyfF6640HG, 08 Octobre 2016

Booked my room through Expedia as a room with a view. Our room was on the 1st floor and our view was the alley which had a semi truck in it first thing in the morning on Thursday. The room was nice but it was too small. There was barely any room for our suit case to be laid out. We had to keep it right by the door. The pillows were awful. would suggest bringing your own. We are not ones to complain and if we had they may have accommodated us. The room was too hot even when we turned the thermostat down. But, they were clean and staff we encountered were all very kind.It was very quite down there, the refrigerator kept our food and drinks cold but there was a high pitched noise coming from it all night. I have stayed in numerous Best Westerns and would have expected a higher quality honestly but I have certainly stayed at much much worse hotels.

"Newly renovated"
LilGeo73, 06 Octobre 2016

Recently stayed two nights at this hotel. The room was very clean, great bed and bedding. Bathroom was immaculate, newly refinished. In fact the entire room looked brand new. Front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent. Good value and great location.

"Decent business stay but some terrible room locations"
Chris M, 06 Octobre 2016

Overall a solid place to stay. But there are rooms on the 1st floor that have windows that face the alley at feet level. Many visitors come from cities and while Nelson may have much quieter and cleaner alleys, that's not enough to cover discomfort with having random people that close to the window and my space. I will definitely be requesting a room on the upper floors during my next stay.

"Great Value for price"
John P, 06 Octobre 2016

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for business. The staff are fantastic at this hotel. The room I had was perfect for my needs ... mind you the view from my room was of a wall which wasn't a huge issue as I spent a good amount of my non-work time enjoying the town. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel.

"Nice hotel, good service"
Michael J, 02 Octobre 2016

The room was large and bright, modern and clean, and also had a fridge. There was a restaurant right next to the lobby with was very good. The location is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Nelson, and there is parking right across the street.

"Much quieter than other downtown lodging option"
camasgirl1, 01 Octobre 2016

We originally booked a 2 bed suite at the Hume Hotel because the Best Western's website wasn't working. I thought it would be charming, but when we arrived we found no safe parking available and the room overlooked the town's busy main thoroughfare. Fortunately, the friendly check-in staff mentioned that their "sister hotel" was the Best Western so I asked if they could book us in there instead, which they did without complaint. The Baker St. BW has a safe free parking lot and interior rooms that were very quiet. (I did have to unplug the refrigerator to eliminate the constant buzz). Our room was clean, the wifi good and the beds comfy; the interior room window however looks out onto a cement -walled courtyard so don't complain about the view! We also took advantage of the Hume Hotel's in-room meal delivery service to have pizza and ice cream delivered (too tired to explore Nelson's food scene).

"Some highs, some lows, but no bads."
HardwickeHowlers, 30 Septembre 2016

We were pleased to check in at the end of September and get a place down on 'Main Street' ( Baker Street). Although the front of the building was covered with scaffolding everybody needs a facelift eventually, so not important. Service was excellent through check-in, no complaints there. Our room on the third floor ( only one up from street level) was notable in that it has the fewest, worst window views of any room I have npbeen in for the last several years, and I travel 6-10 times each year. Looking out the one small window was to look upon two walls facing each other sandwiching my view of very little. However, turn on all the lights, brighten thing up, and carry on. A few stains on the carpet, otherwise a nice roomy room with new bathroom fixtures. No soap in the hot tub showers on the third floor. No free bottle of water, but hey, this is Nelson, have you never heard of mountain water? The biggest plus was just walking out the front floor to be a tourist for a few hours walking down Baker Street to find dinner and speak with the young energetic fellows in the Dispensary a few blocks away for fun. The cost seemed to be adjusted for this downtown factor.

"Great stay in Nelson!"
Meagan S, 28 Septembre 2016

This hotel was really nice to stay in! It was in a great location, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The room itself was modern and very clean. The parking lot is across the street from the hotel, which was a bit confusing when we first pulled into town. From the highway we were on, it was an immediate right that I missed because I didn't realize it was the Best Western parking lot. Very nice stay!

"Nice place to stay"
ShelleyLE, 20 Septembre 2016

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the ice water, fresh coffee, fresh fruit in the lobby. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite which is beautifully decorated, quiet and had all the comforts you'd expect. The proximity to the restaurants and shops is great so lots of opportunity to explore the area on foot and come back to your room for a break. My husband wakes earlier than me and he'd head out on foot to stroll the town, grab a coffee at a little cafe and read the paper. We previously stayed at the Prestige Lakeside Resort and both prefer the Best Western for friendliness and closer proximity to restaurants. We will absolutely book again when we visit our favourite little town.

"Nice Stay"
John N, 18 Septembre 2016

Spent two nights on a recent road trip through the Canadian Rockies. The hotel is either newer or has been recently remodeled and is very nice. The rooms are large, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. There was a large flatscreen TV, cable, and relatively fast free wi-fi. We had booked the room with breakfast which is served in the adjoining restaurant and it was good. Everyone at the hotel and the restaurant were very friendly and would answer any questions we had about the area.

"HOTEL STAFF HERE MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE"
mrs_aqualad, 14 Septembre 2016

Our room was a 4th floor deluxe king, not a terrific view but okay. Room stylishly updated, clean and comfortable. Bed and linens were exceptionally nice. Felt rested and refreshed other than the noise early one morning coming from the ajoining room (through the connecting doors) so would suggest if you can get a room without that feature you may avoid a way earlier than expected 'wake up'. That is our only complaint. From the moment we arrived staff friendly, knowledgeable and fabulous! Their cheeriness both in the hotel and grill staff next door made our 3 night stay most enjoyable. We will be sure to return on our business/family trip to this beautiful area. Pretty good location (at one end of famous Baker Street). Bonus is that they offer free parking to their patrons which isn't readily found in Nelson. lastly, if you skip a day of housekeeping you receive a $5 coupon to be used at the restaurant or redeemable for 250 BW points... It's a WIN WIN staying here. Thanks kindly for the great hospitality!

"BW Baker St. Inn"
John E, 09 Septembre 2016

The Best Western Baker St. Inn is located just off the highway coming into Nelson, yet it seems centrally located for most things a visitor to town will want. It offers excellent rooms and friendly helpful staff.

"Great stay in Nelson"
suebU1676IC, 08 Septembre 2016

My husband and I walked right in and booked a room. We were even able to get the room right away. Great staff, nice quiet room, comfy bed. We were even able to do our laundry in the hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Sue

"Excellent location with parking"
Tim J, 06 Septembre 2016

Room was a reasonable size with $5 voucher for breakfast if you didn't get your room cleaned. The location was right in the centre of town with parking - very useful in Nelson. The shops and great restaurants were within easy walking distance. I wouldn't use the hotel for a romantic weekend, but it was perfectly adequate for a 2 night stopover.

"Clean and well located downtown"
Cheryl Z, 31 Août 2016

Close to everything in downtown Nelson. We have stayed at many Best Western Plus and were a bit surprised this one does NOT include breakfast. Rooms are small and pricey.... Typical of Nelson in the summer.

"Convenient Location to Baker Street"
drdennis22016, 31 Août 2016

Its funny...when I was in the states the day before I was looking on Expedia at this hotel and thought I would book it when I got to BC. Silly me...no cell coverage the moment I set foot in Canada. So I just drove to Nelson and Lo and Behold, there was the hotel...VERY easy to find and conveniently located to Baker Street. The staff was very helpful! She pointed out a gourmet street taco place a few blocks down on Baker street that was amazing! Be sure you get there early enough to shop as the shops ALL close promptly at 530! The room was very clean and the addition of Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker made it very extra nice. The pillows were abundant and fluffy (the only thing I look for). There were two negatives; the room faced a wall outside and the bed was way too hard for me.

"Convenient and easy to find."
cpateach, 31 Août 2016

We were delighted that BW had a location on our way from Revelstoke back to the US. My husband and I truly enjoyed the business center, the clean room, and the kindness of the employees. One drawback that should be addressed is that you have to purchase breakfast in the adjacent restaurant. A voucher for breakfast should be offered for members of BW especially. We were advised by the locals not to eat at the restaurant beside the hotel, but to go to the Hume Hotel, which we did. Great food and plenty. I hope that all BW Plus hotels will consider that we like to find you in the cities we travel to, and that time is of essence when you are driving long distances. You do not have time to go find breakfast.

"Very Clean Room But..."
GJ L, 29 Août 2016

It's obvious that the housekeeping staff at this hotel takes real pride in their work. We stayed in a pet room with our cat and it was spotless. Front desk staff for the most part was very helpful and friendly. As far as negatives, I thought over 200. was overpriced for what we got. No free breakfast included and only a Keurig coffee maker in the room, which I don't like. So wasteful making one cup at a time, using up all that pod packaging and the coffee is ho hum in flavor. Fan in room was noisy but no option to open windows so we kept it on most of the time. Big turnoff was waking up to the STRONG smell of pot wafting through the air vents of the fan unit. It actually made me feel sick and nauseous as it continued for about an hour. Obviously someone enjoying Nelson's growing pot scene, while staying in what should have been a nearby non smoking room. I would have really appreciated a discount on our bill at checkout but none was offered. Girl at desk was sympathetic but that was all.

"Not such a deal"
longtravel09, 29 Août 2016

Close to the centre. The reception was not so pleasant. The room was not as desired at booking, and rather small. The window was facing the opposite building. Parking across the street. City quite busy this Saturday evening.

"Great Location!"
looseink, 23 Août 2016

We stopped over for one night in early August 2016. The hotel is First Class without a doubt. We loved wandering around the neighbourhood which is basically the base of historic Baker Street. The Tourist InfoCentre, located less than a block away, directed us to this Best Western and we were glad they did. Quiet room and an excellent restaurant adjoining it. Before check out the following morning we walked up the street a few blocks and got to see some incredible historic buildings. Well worth looking around the neighbourhood.

"Great Location and Service"
ruff67, 23 Août 2016

Did not know Nelson well and needed a place with good parking so selected this property over the Hume. Parking is across the street and ample and free. Restaurant in the hotel was surprisingly good with great service and food. Hotel is at one end of the Nelson heritage tourist strip and an easy walk to multiple dining venues. Rooms were clean and evenings quiet for a good sleep. If you do your own room service you get a $5 coupon for the restaurant

"Excellent short term stopover"
wellendmike, 23 Août 2016

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past 6 years and have always enjoyed the hospitality, friendliness anexcellent info on the area. These trips have coincided with biennial visits to my cousin in Vancouver. The hotel has provided very comfortable accomodation and breakfasting in restaurant has been a delight.Typical Canadian fare, more than one can eat and absolutely what we English call "a full English"..Very good value for money!! The hotel is well situated to visit all the local amenities, especially visits to the hot springs at Ainsworth, 40 minutes drive away. We love the area and will use this hotel again when we visit in 2018.

"First class"
Terry H, 20 Août 2016

Super friendly staff. A free car park opposite. Good free wifi. The room was superb; just refurbished, a lovely clean smell, excellent beds, and a good view. Breakfast was included in our rate. I will be back!

"Good but PricEy!"
major52, 19 Août 2016

Nice enough but pricier than most in area. Not in room or hotel much cause we were there for a wedding. Expected more from a Plus location. As a Diamond member we usually get a few perks thrown in..ie...breakfast.

"Clean mid priced hotel"
FunOnly, 11 Août 2016

This was my second stay at the Best Western in Nelson. The hotel personifies what Best Western does best, that is, a clean upper mid range hotel with no unpleasant surprises. The hotel is at the edge of the downtown and is an easy 10-minute walk to the center of town. There is free parking situated across the street from the mai entrance. Room rate did not include breakfast so we went downtown. Overall a pleasant stay with no special outstanding qualities.

"Good Hotel Without a View"
1212ballard, 10 Août 2016

We booked this from the internet and stayed two nights. The rooms were average size with A/C ( a little loud) - the beds were very nice. But, our room and most of the hotel's rooms look at exterior walls ( maybe 10 to 15 feet away. We would stay again for the room if we could not find similar lodging with some type of a view.

"Business road trip"
007dane, 10 Août 2016

This hotel was very clean and staff was excellent. Had a good nights sleep and well located to walking to the main area in town. You are located to some of the best restaurants . Went to some really great places serving organic and home cooked meals. There is an amazing bakery near the downtown core noted for the amazing donuts.

"Great Hotel. Average restaurant "
keadyn, 09 Août 2016

Hotel was great. Rooms are excellent, very clean, good WiFi. Pretty much what you expect from BW. Now Nelso has some great places to eat and drink. The hotel restaurant is not one of them. They also don't have a bar or lounge so no billing drinks to your room trick.

"Clean and comfortable"
myothellocat, 09 Août 2016

Pros: very clean and well maintained, great staff, very comfortable beds and the best shower pressure! Cons: parking is across the street so you need to bring your bags over if there isn't room in front for a drop off. The rooms are smaller. We were on the third and a half floor so six stairs up from where the elevator stops.

"Motorcycle Trip"
Tony M, 05 Août 2016

This motel is in city center, walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Vehicle parking is across the street so if you have lots of luggage this is a chore. Very nice and clean. Best shower of our 2 week trip!! Loved it!! Cost is somewhat higher than we like to spend($196 for 1 queen bed). Nice place. A waterfall just a 10 minute walk.

"Exceptional Nelson, BC Hotel"
IMBITTN, 05 Août 2016

The Best Western Plus hotel in Nelson, BC greatly exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located in the downtown area, enabling hotel guests to do a walking tour of Nelson, BC. It is within walking distance of a large number of shops and restaurants. The parking is conveniently located across the street, and there was always parking available during our stay. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The front desk staff booked a restaurant dinner reservation for us when we were unable to reach the restaurant. We have stayed a a large number of different Hilton properties, and this hotel is one of the best hotels at which we have stayed.

"Best Inn in Nelson"
VATAR95, 04 Août 2016

The best location in the town. On main street of the town - Baker St. Just 100 feet from the intersection with major rd you are taking to get in the town. 5 minutes walk from Saturday farmers' market. There is a grill restaurant at the location. A big parking lot across the street. You are at the heart of the town withing 10-20 minutes walking to the main attractions - shops, town beach, cinema, restaurants and cafes.

"Quiet, Clean and Convenient"
Norman P, 02 Août 2016

The BW Plus in Nelson offers all of the amenities that we seek when we travel with our dog...Pet Friendly Rooms and easy access to the exterior...Staff is great, on-site restaurant is very good and the hotel is clean and quiet...Will stay there again next time we are in the area...Price of accommodation is a little high for a BW Hotel particularly with the added charge for the pet friendly room but that is the only complaint... Other hotels in the area of the same quality charge in the same price range but BW is the better choice

"Good central hotel"
PetroniusMinor, 01 Août 2016

We spent a night in a King deluxe room which was enormous, mostly empty space. Although at the front of the hotel we did not experience any noise. Parking is in a lot across the road but you can load or unload at the hotel door. The hotel is central & convenient for shops & restaurants.

"Great Location, Small Rooms"
Alan C, 31 Juillet 2016

Centrally located in downtown Nelson. Easy walking distance to numerous stores and restaurants. Rooms are very small which is why I didn't give an "excellent" level rating. Staff is very helpful and cordial. Restaurant on site is very good. Arrived late and left early so I can't give a full review.

"PJ"
Phil J, 29 Juillet 2016

Hotel situated close to amenities, shops & many restaurants. Very clean, comfortable beds in good size room. Staff get a five star , are friendly, accommodating, and make you feel very welcome. Restaurant food, excellent & plentiful. Service great. Would definitely recommend.

"Top notch accommodation in walking distance to Main Street attractions"
Maxcontax, 29 Juillet 2016

Parking is generous, the staff is friendly and fun, everyone of them from the café to the front desk to the cleaners. The location is a two block walk from most excellent bars, cafes, shops and the local scene so you can park it and walk the town and really feel like you've been to Nelson, which is a delightful and fun town to spend time in. The room was clean, the air-con was quiet, the security was good but not intrusive. The breakfast restaurant is like fine dining with very attentive staff, recommended. This is our third stay here for good reason. And the rates are far more reasonable than down by the water!

"Perfect location"
Amanda N, 25 Juillet 2016

Love this hotel! Right on Baker Street. Took in the Friday night market and the restaurant on site. Both were great. Stayed in the one king bed suite and enjoyed the space and the views. Staff was accommodating and polite. Room was clean and enjoyed the parking that was close.

"Great Location"
Al and Nancy B, 25 Juillet 2016

Probably best hotel in town, but I haven't stayed at the rest. Great Location on Baker Street on the edge of the historic downtown so most things are within easy walking distance. Plenty of parking, albeit across the street. Friendly, helpful staff. Good beds with good linens. Internet was among best experienced in a hotel.

"Great place"
jeennnaa, 22 Juillet 2016

Great customer service, everyone was enjoyable to deal with and clean rooms. I booked 4 rooms for my bachelorette party to start there and house keeping put flower petals on the floor, I thought it was a lovely thought. Would definitely go again.

"Went above and beyond"
noel7, 21 Juillet 2016

Accommodations were nice. Buffet Brunch was fantastic! The Chef really outdid himself! I accidentally left my Cellphone behind and one of the managers REALLY went out of his way to get it back to me! Thank you so much!

"Very good"
Bernard F, 18 Juillet 2016

Very Good hotel, great addition to the city of Nelson, too bad breakfast is not included with the room as in many other Best Western, also cloth and buckets to clean your Motocycle. We'll be back in the fall as the colors will be different.

"Short trip to Nelson with family "
Richard R, 17 Juillet 2016

We recently spent two nights at the Baker Street Best Western. As a family of 4 with 2 young boys under 5 we booked one of the twin bed rooms. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a twin room on the 3rd floor with a view. The view was great (if you ignore the gravel works near the river). The whole town had a power cut on the first evening and the staff tried their best to work with customers to provide what lighting was possible to the darker interior facing rooms. Their internal safety lighting was a little lacking in places and I think this could do with a review. The facilities were good, including the restaurant and rooms, which came with free wifi. Staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The hotel is situated at the end of Baker Street with parking directly opposite. While the car park is open to the public it is visible from the the lobby so we felt fine leaving our car. The town itself is small and so the restaurants etc are just within easy walking distance. We would happily stay here again.

"A tad overpriced"
Brjpotter, 17 Juillet 2016

Stayed 2 nights while mountain biking in Nelson. I feel they ask a Steep price, parking is across the street in an unsecured lot and no included breakfast. Having said that the rooms are very cozy and modern. Had a great nights sleep both nights and a reasonably priced breakfast at the restaurant next door. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as with all people in Nelson.

"Best Western Nelson B.C."
carlar2, 16 Juillet 2016

This is the fourth time I have stayed at this comfortable, convenient and friendly hotel in Nelson B.C. It is a few minutes walk from all of downtown Nelson, yet just far enough removed to be quiet. There are mountain views from all rooms, and a good restaurant on site.

"Clean and Friendly"
Bootsnbeans, 15 Juillet 2016

We were not disappointed, this place was clean, the staff was nice and helpful. They only have a hot tub, so my kids were a bit disappointed and it was super hot (even for me), but with water close by in the summer that shouldn't be an issue.

"Really nice stay."
Tracy S, 11 Juillet 2016

Lovely, helpful staff. Really comfy beds and super clean. Right on historic Baker Street so you can pretty much walk everywhere. We ended up with a sick child while staying and they were very accommodating - giving us all the extra linen etc needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Great Stay"
lorrainea514, 11 Juillet 2016

Another great stay at the Best Western Plus Baker Street Inn. I love this location because of the staff and the quality of my sleep when I stay. I have never been let down by this location. Thank you for always making me feel so comfortable.

"Great Hotel - Good location"
Al H, 09 Juillet 2016

At the West end of Baker Street so a short walk from most of the shops and restaurants. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room was very good with large fridge , microwave and coffee machine. WiFi was a bit weak as is often the case in hotels. The Baker Street Grill attached to the hotel came in useful for a quick lunch for visits between room and car. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

"Excellent"
spawnlauncher, 01 Juillet 2016

The experience we had at the Best Western in Nelson was fantastic. The staff were super accommodating (they let us check in early even though they were clearly quite busy), the room was clean, the restaurant downstairs was great, and the location is fantastic. You're right on the end of Baker street so you have easy walking access to what I feel is the heart of Nelson.

"Great atmosphere hotel in the heart of the city."
Garry B, 27 Juin 2016

I had an excellent business stay (2 weeks) here. Very close to all of the best dining attractions in Nelson. The staff hospitality was wonderful and helped me find my way around downtown and also find some good hiking in the area.

"Interesting Building"
auntylene, 26 Juin 2016

This hotel is downtown and great to be able to walk everywhere. Its on a steep hill so you have to do a bit of a climb. When we checked in we were given a room on the first floor. The lobby is on the second floor so we had to go down to what felt like the basement. This room was very small with really no place to even sit to watch tv. The window looked out onto the alley and it was loud from the traffic on the highway. When we went to the lobby to ask if there was anything better we were moved right away to a room on the fourth floor. This room was much larger and it looked out onto the courtyard so it was very quiet. A nice choice to stay in Nelson and I would consider it again when I come back.

"Great Room!"
BARRY K, 20 Juin 2016

We were very pleased with our stay at the BW Plus Baker Street Inn. We got a room with a King bed and a pull out sofa bed. The room was huge! We are a family of 4 and this is by far the biggest hotel room we've stayed in that was not a suite. The pictures are accurate and you will not be disappointed. Bathroom was nice and clean. The room had a fridge and microwave which were very clean. Parking was easy and convenient. The staff were very attentive and friendly and when I mean the staff, I don't mean just the front desk. Every staff member smiled and gave us friendly "Hello". The reason I didn't give this hotel a 5 is because there is no pool and the hot tub area very small. Would I stay again? Yes, we will be booking this hotel the next time we go out to Nelson!

"Weekend getaway"
Dirk B, 18 Juin 2016

Very nice stay, the room was large and spacious we had a king suit, nice view from our room. Decor and fixtures where up to date. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and nice pillows. It was very nice we will be back again.

"Good value with great service and comfort"
Cruising-on-2, 18 Juin 2016

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have always been treated very well. The restaurant staff are attentive and the food is good quality without being overpriced. It is in a good location only a couple blocks from all the shopping and restaurants.

"Nice!"
Cindy H, 17 Juin 2016

Recently spent a weekend in Nelson visiting family. We had two rooms and were very pleased overall. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely appointed with the most comfortable mattress and pillows. Microwave, fridge and safe were a great addition. No problems at all with the wifi. Location was fantastic, just off Baker Street where all the shopping and restaurants are. Parking in a secure lot across the street. Staff was friendly and professional. Had breakfast at the attached restaurant - was delicious. A and reasonably priced. We're returning to Nelson next week and are looking forward to another stay at this hotel.

"Nice stopover to visit family"
adventurer6469, 15 Juin 2016

It was a well renovated older hotel in a good location. There was good air conditioning on a very hot day. It was well located. The front desk people were helpful and pleasant. The parking was across the street. As well, there was on street parking after 6 o'clock.

"One of the best stay!"
Sergio L, 13 Juin 2016

The hotel was very clean and easy to find. The staff were amazing. We felt really good here. Normally we stay at best western, however, this one has exceed our expectation. We strongly recommend this location, they have really nice rooms too. The only thing is the restaurant/breakfast not good. And, the Internet was bad. But, everything else made it worth it.

"Incredible Service, Location, Experience"
903_kat, 13 Juin 2016

Exceptional. From the warm, sincere welcome to the thoughtful and friendly service, our initial and subsequent experiences with the superb front desk staff made our stay at the Best Western in Nelson perfect Highly recommended.

"Disappointing hotel"
jinnes, 12 Juin 2016

This is the second time I have stayed here, and there was a big difference. This time, I was with someone in wheelchair, and we were send to the basement area. They have some dark and dingy rooms there, with single windows that look out onto a blank wall 3 m away. The bed was the one of the hardest I have ever encountered. We only stayed one of the three nights we were booked in for, and the hotel was good enough to give us a small discount for the discomfort. In fairness, when I stayed here a few years ago, I had no complaints. However, like many hotels, as soon as a wheelchair is involved, one is relegated to the least attractive rooms in the hotel.

"Great friendly staff"
butkins, 10 Juin 2016

The staff in the hotel ate amazing. Rooms are nice and kept very clean. The restraunt was not that great. We were told they have a new chef but it felt like eating at a abc restraunt. Other than the food we really enjoyed our stay.

"Good stay"
donswim, 04 Juin 2016

Free parking opposite the hotel, comfortable room and decent sized ensuite. friendly reception staff. Reasonable price. On the main street of Nelson. There are few odd characters wandering the around but we did not feel threatened. Interesting mixture of shops in Nelson.

"Good Location"
Mart48, 01 Juin 2016

Perfectly located for walking round the city of Nelson this is a clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The windows in our room were double glazed but didn't open so we needed the air conditioning on, but we didn't hear any traffic. The city has lots of interesting buildings and plenty of places to eat. The waterfront is worth a visit, we had a walk round there in the evening, peaceful and very picturesque. I would certainly recommend staying here.

"Do not expect too much!"
Harold P, 01 Juin 2016

Poor parking area - open area, lots of street people are in area, car better be locked up good! No covered area when unloading luggage and passengers. They do not provide a breakfast. For a Best Western "Plus" there is not too much in the way of "Plus"!

"The warmest welcome"
PathfinderICE, 31 Mai 2016

The hotel is very clean and centrally located. The staff there are so warm and friendly. All the staff seems to be genuinely happy and that sure is contagious. Free parking and WiFi that never dropped out. The view is great in both directions.

"Beautifully maintained property just steps from downetown core"
Gardiner W, 28 Mai 2016

My first visit to this hotel which is on Nelsons main downtown street (Baker) and literally steps away from the bustling city core. Property looks new (is it or just excellent maintainence), very comfortable rooms and helpful solicitous staff. Parking just across the street from the hotel. Full service onsite restaurant (which we did not try) with a standard range of dishes. Would definitely stay here on our next visit

"Nelson, a great place to visit"
williamj795, 26 Mai 2016

Loved the convenience of the Best Western, could walk around the city and see all the interesting stores and lovely architecture. The rooms are very nice and very clean, and the staff were nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

"Great Hotel!!!"
Kyle S, 26 Mai 2016

I spend one night every week in this hotel. Every time I'm here I'm greeted by the friendliest staff I have ever delt with and on top of that the hotel is clean and well maintained. The hotel is also in a great location to be able to take in the beautiful down town!! Great job Ryan and Staff!!!

"Good but noisy"
goomama, 23 Mai 2016

The location of the hotel was very convenient and easy to find. The room was clean and had a nice big bathroom. The bed and pillow were too soft for my liking and I had a very bad backache in the morning. We didn't hear any noise from the outside even though our window was facing the main street. However, the wall to the next room was paper thin and we could hear every word from our neighbor. It was not pleasant when they had a little child who cries a lot. Overall it was a good hotel if you like a soft bed and if you can get a room next to a quiet traveller.

"International Selkirk Loup"
Marc L, 23 Mai 2016

Stayed here two nights while exploring the Selkirk loup drive. A great hotel in this beautiful little city in central BC. Lots of things to do and explore, Rooms are lovely, great beds and everything we have come to expect with Best Western Plus. Found the staff to be very helpful, and the on site restaurant was convenient. A good value.

"An overnight work stop"
BCFOAPREZ, 17 Mai 2016

I've stayed at this hotel before and I always find the staff friendly, the rooms clean and well appointed. The adjoining restaurant is also staffed with friendly and helpful wait people. The food is better than average.

"Great Place To Stay"
donl760, 07 Mai 2016

We visit family in Nelson as often as we can and always book at the Best Western Plus Baker Street. Reasonable rates, nice restaurant and the best beds and pillows anywhere. The front desk staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

"Quiet hotel in excellent location on the main street."
mjhullah, 06 Mai 2016

Nice quiet hotel with attached restaurant. Rooms reasonably clean and well decorated. We ate a very nice dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Nelson shopping center only five minutes away, and the main street small, specialty stores within walking distance.

"Nice hotel in a great location"
RustyRedHead, 20 Avril 2016

It was just a quick trip and unfortunately I was only able to spend one night in Nelson. I will definitely be back though! It was my first time in the area and I was traveling with my dog. Luckily, the Best Western Plus is pet friendly and is conveniently located right downtown. The hotel was very clean. My room was on the main/lower level with a window facing the courtyard. The room was modern and immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and heavy curtains allowed me to make the room completely dark. I was able to have the best sleep in months! Parking is located in a lot right across the street. There are tons of great places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. My only negative comments would be in regards to traveling with a pet and staying at this hotel. There aren't many areas in the immediate vicinity outside to take your pet to relieve themselves. I managed to find a small patch of grass on the next block. Also, it would be nice if there was a garbage bin outside to dispose of the pet waste. I did manage to find a bin down the street though. I would definitely stay at the Best Western Plus again next time I am in Nelson!

"Great hotel"
Adam T, 14 Avril 2016

Had a good experience at the best western nelson. Highlights for me was the Big TV, the hot tub and the breakfast. Check in was friendly and fast. Only small problem i had was the key for the hot tub wasnt activated but got it fixed at front desk straight away. The room we had was amazing for the value i paid for this room. Everything was in walking distance. I would only stay at this hotel if i returned to nelson

"Great Staff"
jimmylegs73, 05 Avril 2016

Another great stay. Thanks for your hospitality. It's alway nice to be in Nelson. Solid hotel with nice room. lady who checked me in remembered me from my stay in November (and other stays). Drinks and Appies at Mikes place were great too. Fun time.

"Nice place, great location"
Jon R, 03 Avril 2016

I came here for a ski weekend with my wife and enjoyed it. The hotel is nice and relatively newly updated. The beds and linens were very nice and the overall room was cozy. The staff was very nice and accommodating and they allowed us to bring our equipment into the room which was nice as the parking is a surface lot across the street and it doesn't seem all that secure. If you have children I don't know if I could call this a family hotel based on the lack of pool. There is a small hot tub but if you have kids and pools are important than this may not be the place for you. There is a nice little restaurant / lounge attached ant the pricing is reasonable. The only thing I didn't understand was the pricing on Expedia. The prices seemed to be quite a bit different for the same room. I don't know if that is a function of the website or the hotel, but it seemed to me spending more didn't really get you any more.

"Nelson's Favorite Hotel"
Marcel L, 29 Mars 2016

Staff very curtious and they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed An item was left behind at check out and within an hour we were contacted by email and the staff made arrangements to ship this item to our home address Our favorite hotel in Nelson, always a pleasure to be back

"Great Hotel"
Victoria C, 28 Mars 2016

My Husband, our 1 year old daughter and I stayed at this hotel. It was very accommodating, staff were all very friendly and the updates to the suites were great. We ordered food from the restaurant as well. Portions were huge, food was good as well. Central location was perfect for us as we have never visted Nelson before, easy walk to everything. Would recommend to anyone!

"Pet friendly hotel"
TWestLancashire, 28 Mars 2016

Excellent stay. Clean rooms, comfy beds and great service. No view in pet rooms but central location and quality of hotel makes this stay worthwhile. Good restaurant attached and an easy walk to numerous amazing restaurants. I stay here several times per year and the staff are always lovely.

"Excellent"
Katie M, 28 Mars 2016

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location and lovely amenities. Booking online was easy and had an option to get a $5 voucher if you didn't have room service, something I really loved. In addition, the free apples were delicious.

"Nice & Simple"
JeannineBC, 24 Mars 2016

I chose this hotel for our 2 night stay as you pretty much know what you're getting, there is a consistent standard and the location was great. The room was good, clean and the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. I liked the fact that the hotel encourages you to not get your room serviced every day if it doesn't need it but in order for people to be able to do this, they need to supply sufficient teabags/ coffee/ sugar etc to make it feasible. It also seems to be sending mixed messages to encourage people to be more environmentally sound by not getting your room serviced but then using Kuerig in the room which is incredibly environmentally unsound. A kettle, teabags and drip coffee maker would be better. I was also really surprised that there were no in-room movies. My husband and I aren't interested in staying out late in a pub and like to watch a recent movie in the room before bed when staying in a hotel but this hotel only had the occasional movie showing at prescribed times and on our first night it was an animated dinosaur movie from 8-10:30. The second night there was nothing until 10:30 - too late for us. It seems such a simple thing to have movies really not sure why they don't. Next time we go I would probably try somewhere else.

"Great hotel in Nelson!"
HiRailer, 13 Mars 2016

The Best Western on Baker St. is super clean, modern, conveniently located and even a little luxurious. We were staying there to ski Whitewater and the proximity to Rt. 6 was super easy. The parking was also a piece of cake. Everyone who worked there was really nice.

"Best western PLUS Baker Street INN"
Susan T, 09 Mars 2016

We enjoy skiing Whitewater and prefer to stay at this hotel for the location, cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is quiet. We appreciate the adjoining restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

"quick trip"
Micheal D, 07 Mars 2016

quick trip to Nelson. 3rd stay at the BW and as previous trips all was good. helpful staff. good breakfast. close to everything in town. a few noisy guests woke me up early am. would return. not much else to say

"Good spot in Nelson, B.C."
Mark S, 17 Février 2016

Nice hotel in beautiful, easily walkable small town. Good service, good restaurant, but the dining and drinking options in downtown Nelson are amazing for a small town. The nearby lake and the surrounding mountains are gorgeous.

"Comfort in the heart of town."
Merv W, 11 Février 2016

Rooms have under gone major renovation. Pleasant, helpful staff, nice restaurant attached. Good food at resonable price. We will be returning very soon as my wife has physiotherapy appointments close by.

"Great place to stay for ski weekend"
OKfunseekers, 10 Février 2016

When you book at this BW, ask them about their ski package. It's really cost-effective (includes room, breakfast and discounted ski pass at Whitewater Ski Resort). The front desk staff are really attentive and helpful.

"Great place"
kenny94, 09 Février 2016

The location is right in town so once you park across the street you can leave the car alone. The rooms are very nice. Clean and well maintained. We did a reasonable ski and stay package that included a great breakfast. The front desk staff is friendly, polite and efficient.

"Comfort in the heart of town"
Sharonbader, 05 Février 2016

The central location is great since we could park our car and walk to the restaurants after our long drive from Vancouver. Check in was easy, the customer support great. Our room was comfortable, but warm. I did try to turn down the heat, but the air conditioning was being finicky. The shower is awesome, superpowerful water. It would be nice if the restaurant was open earlier for breakfast as we had to be somewhere at 8:00am and the 7:00am opening with one waitress made our timing tight. Good thing Nelson is small. I would stay here again.

"Home away from home!"
Katherine W, 25 Janvier 2016

The hotel is central to everything and the staff is beyond amazing! We stay at the Best Western in Nelson almost every visit (unless there are no available rooms) and the customer service is outstanding! Everyone from front-desk staff to housekeeping to restaurant staff are friendly and helpful!

"Well maintained "
Sam_The_Man2000, 23 Janvier 2016

The hotel is in an older building but very well maintained. The rooms are fresh and clean. Bath is modern. Coffee maker, bar fridge and microwave in the room. Sadly no continental breakfast included. Large parking lot across from hotel. Very friendly staff. Close to downtown, walking distance to restaurants and pubs.

"Great location"
Hawk M, 19 Janvier 2016

The staff was very friendly and the rooms looked to be somewhat updated and very clean.Hot tub was was in good working order and most enjoyable after a long days drive.Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

"Poor"
Dee G, 15 Janvier 2016

Lazy housekeeping. Elevator smelled like oil. Hot tub way too hot. Restaurant attached had terribly slow breakfast service and tiny portions. Front desk was nice enough and the room was clean but I would never stay here again.

"Such a nice place to stay"
Laura S, 11 Janvier 2016

This hotel is warm, inviting, centrally located and the staff are awesome. I stay here regularly for work and I truly feel like a valued guest. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms have all the amenities that I need.

"Great location for getting around town"
canmorebackpacker, 10 Janvier 2016

Had heard the rooms were "tired" we did not find this AT ALL. The furniture was all new and the room had a large flat screen. Bathroom was a nice size with a full soaker tub and the bed and linens were super comfy. The gym was adequate, I guess most people are out skiing. Would have been nice to have an outdoor hot-tub, but the one inside was fine, though the space was small and completely void of any decoration. A little more expensive than some of the other choices but well worth it.

"Nice, clean hotel"
Janet S, 10 Janvier 2016

The rooms are good size, clean, and can handle ski gear. The hotel is walking distance to the main streets of Nelson. Very convenient location, just off the freeway too. Good free wi-fi. They have fruit & water in the lobby, nice touches.

"Highly Recommended!"
Gnatenstein, 08 Janvier 2016

I highly recommend this hotel as it has everything you need! From the lovely updated and spacious rooms, to great amenities including a large hot tub (to soak those aching bones after skiing), to it's amazing location Main Street, and last, but not least, a wonderful restaurant serving delicious comfort food made from scratch specializing in ribs and rotisserie chicken ... Mmmm SO GOOD! :)

"Great place in Nelson"
corinnalv, 31 Décembre 2015

Our second time in Nelson, first time at the BW, and I would definitely stay here again. It's a bit more money than other properties maybe, but not terrible and to be honest it is worth it. The hotel is clean, staff friendly, rooms were clean and good size. Parking lot is a little small and it is across the street from the hotel, but otherwise the location itself is great. We had a late snack from their restaurant, and also breakfast the next morning. Both were excellent. No swimming pool is really the only negative we could describe.

"First night in a new town - Very comfortable"
Kevin A, 16 Décembre 2015

After driving several hours, it was nice to settle into this hotel. Warm reception at front desk. Comfortable room. Keurig coffee service in room and fresh coffee in the morning at front desk. I was able to enjoy a hot tub and relax before bed as well.

"Nice hotel but..."
Pivo06, 06 Décembre 2015

This hotel in Nelson is pretty nice. The location is great (right on the Main Street). The rooms are nice (but standard) and the gym is fine. Not amazing but more than just a treadmill. I often travel to Nelson but prefer to stay elsewhere because the hotel is expensive and there is no included breakfast. Seriously, even in Calgary hotels in the $150 / night range include breakfast. There are other places to stay with and equally good location and lesser price.

"Great Stay!"
Carroll W, 04 Décembre 2015

Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely welcoming lobby, with complimentary coffee. Great location, within walking distance to almost everything in Nelson, shops and restaurants. Loads of free parking. Clean, spacious rooms.

"Excellent Accomodations and Tremendous Staff"
CACAtraveler, 28 Novembre 2015

I can't speak highly enough about this hotel. Most importantly, it's the staff that make it stand out. Everyone, I mean everyone, from the front desk to the housekeepers to the staff in restaurant are extremely attentive and helpful. More so than almost any hotel that I've stayed at recently, including ones that cost a lot more. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Be sure to ask that your room has at least some view; some don't. Nelson is a quirky but so beautiful and friendly town and I wish I had more time to explore. Restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance of the hotel and there are many choices. If you're up for a hike or other outside activities, they're a short drive away. I will be back, hopefully soon.

"Best hotel stay/experience we've had in a long time."
Kelly S, 22 Novembre 2015

We had a great experience for our family of four! The hotel was super easy to find and had ample free parking. It was within walking distance to many shops and food. We were upgraded to a bigger room without asking and the staff was super friendly. Diane was great with our two kids and even remembered their names the next day! The rooms exceeded our expectations. This was the best stay we've had in a very long time. We were very pleased!

"Suite is not really a suite"
BCBusinessTraveller2, 19 Novembre 2015

Stay was just ok. We paid extra for a suite, as we had understood there was a separate bedroom. It was just a larger room with a Queen bed and a pullout couch. Staff at the front desk were not attentive or very interested in helping customers. There is no restroom in the lobby; you have to go to the back of the restaurant. We have had much better service and accommodations at other Best Westerns and would not return.

"Great Location!"
Caley F, 16 Novembre 2015

Right in the heart of a fun city! There was a craft faire going on in the hotel at the time, so it increased the appeal! The fire and Christmas decorations were so fun, and the rooms were very nice and clean!

"clean and comfortable"
Paul C, 07 Novembre 2015

I've stayed at Best Western hotels many times. I know what I am getting every time I visit. Clean, comfortable room with great friendly staff, thank you. Bed was not as comfortable at this hotel and ask for a room at the front of the hotel and not the back. Traffic noise can be heard on the backside.

"Beautiful day, Beautiful Night"
Lois67, 30 Octobre 2015

A last minute, no reservation stay overnight in Nelson. Jordene was a wonderful hostess when we arrived and got us settled in no time. The room was comfortable, the view nice, and the bed comfortable. The room was clean and welcoming. There is no continental breakfast; however, the restaurant has tasty breakfast at a fair price. The service was great in there as well. A nice place to stop in and stay.

"Good location, Comfortable Rooms"
Taylorsabroad, 28 Octobre 2015

This hotel is well located for access to the restaurants and bars in Nelson. We had not advanced booked. The lady who dealt with us was really helpful in telling us about the area and where the best hikes started from. The hotel has a car park which is a big advantage in Nelson. We had a room facing the inherent courtyard. No view but nice and quiet. Our only negative was slow service for breakfast in the restaurant. Waitress was very apologetic so We assume there were exceptional circumstances.

"Great situation"
Tiish, 19 Octobre 2015

This is ideal for a stop over. Situated centrally within easy walking distance of the shops and the lakeside. Ample parking immediately opposite. Nice rooms with fridge and microwave. Very pleasant staff. Recommended.

"Great downtown location"
Juiceharp, 17 Octobre 2015

Well located hotel. Small rooms, but newly renovated and nicely decorated. Comfy beds and flat screen tv with plenty of channel choices. Breakfast at the restaurant was reasonable and tasty. While I was working, my wife walked and shopped downtown right out the front door. Very friendly town.

"Couldn't be more happy with the reservations staffer"
MuftiVancouver, 15 Octobre 2015

We booked the BW Plus Baker St Inn over the phone. The reservations clerk was very helpful, describing the various rooms and the views from them. She went to some trouble to explain and describe the features of the hotel, as well as the parking. We discussed meal options in the hotel and in the area. The restaurant next door, seemed to offer a set breakfast by day to hotel guests. The breakfast rate added I think $15 to the price of the room. Again, very helpful to know. She took the initiative to ask about a CAA membership when we booked. Unfortunately, we had to cancel a couple of weeks later due to a necessary change in plans. Within hours we had a cancellation email. The reservations clerk is a credit to the hotel. I felt like family. We hope to go to the area next year and, because of the genuine welcome through this process, will book here again.

"Clean, nice rooms and good location but bad staff"
Sara M, 12 Octobre 2015

The location is great at the end of Baker Street. The rooms are very clean with comfy beds. However, we had some problems with the staff. We were double charged upon checkout even though I was assured by two different staff members that they do not charge the card on file unless necessary. Also we were locked out of our room by a friend who had fallen asleep and the front desk agent was not at all helpful. I waited 5 minutes at the desk for her to notice me, and in that time my other friend had begun banging on the room door. Because of the noise we were causing, she refused to call the room to try and help us get back inside.

"Nice room. Friendly staff. Good location"
John83814, 10 Octobre 2015

Good sized room and fair value. Excellent location within walking distance of all downtown restaurants and attractions. Some rooms have nice views, some overlook a narrow, interior courtyard. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.

"Comfortable"
MAMB, 09 Octobre 2015

Beds are good, room is comfortable. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which had decent food - dessert was very good! Hotel is located in a good area, to walk to the Main Street - and easy access to leave Nelson. Breakfast is not included in price.

"Very nice hotel"
Champis t, 08 Octobre 2015

Stayed there on a business trip for one night. Very nice, quiet, if somewhat compact room, friendly desk staff, parking pass offered. No complaints of any kind. Great location, easy walking distance for everything downtown.

"Loved the downtown vibe!"
Linda H, 08 Octobre 2015

I picked this hotel based on photos and the fact that we could walk out the front doors and be right downtown, Nelson, BC. I couldn't have been happier once we arrived. Even the artwork on the walls in the hallway was enjoyable. The restaurant food exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay again.

"My home away from home"
mnratch, 07 Octobre 2015

I make monthly visits to Nelson for business and my go to is always the Baker Inn. It's has everything for short extended stays and I've been using it for almost a year. Small fridge. Microwave and Kurig machine. Good wifi for work. Comfy bed and linens. My only complaint is no real seating area in room (I hate eating at a desk and watching tv from bed) but you can't have it all. Overall a good hotel. Right downtown and on the hi way going through town. Not particularly noisy but I really tune that out anyway.

"I'll be back here again!"
Donna M, 05 Octobre 2015

This hotel is right on Baker Street near the bottom of the hill. This street has many wonderful little shops and places to eat all within walking distance. I asked for a "quiet" room location as this is on a fairly busy street and was located at the back. The room is VERY small (looks like it was recently renovated - everything looks new) but clean and comfortable with the basic needs included. Also very quiet - just as I had hoped. The king size bed was comfortable, wifi was free & fast and staff all very nice. I had breakfast at the hotel in the morning and that was pretty good too! Great coffee. I would stay here again. No problem.

"Great stay!"
daveyboy04, 15 Septembre 2015

Have stayed here numerous times before, but our room this time was recently renovated. Everything clean, comfortable and up to date. Large 42" tv, with HD channels. We've stayed in so many hotels with HD tvs and Standard Def. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday weekend.

"A clean place with a good breakfast"
Coraline B, 11 Septembre 2015

Very central to everything . The rooms are clean and tidy. The beds i would rate an 8 out of 10 on comfort. The morning continental breakfast missing some fresh fruit ie Bananas and apples. Hotel staff at the reception were wonderful ! Serve good. Hot tub needs to have the camera fixed so hotel staff at reception can keep tab's on what goes on in the hot tub room. We went down for a soak in the hot tub and had to deal with 5 somewhat drunk over 21 guests who were not talking very appropriately in the hot tub. I just kept a deaf ear and spent the entire 45 minutes faced talking to my husband and put those people out of my mind. Other than that one incident I would give it another go for staying and would hope next time that the drunks be thrown out on their ear !! I am giving this stay at this establishment still a ( 9 out of ten ) rating. The reception staff for me is what made this stay a good one over all. Thanks !! :)
