Best Western Inn & Suites - Monroe

I do not recommned. The staff were rude and we were over charged. My wife has filed a complaint with corporate and is still awaiting her refund. This one night has been a complete diaster and we have been treated nothing but rude from the hotel who make the mistake and over charged our card. They stated they called my wife , which the did not . They stated they refuended us , which they did not and they furthermore reported to corporate that our case was resolved which it was not .

We got to the hotel early evening. We had not booked a room, we just went in and asked for the walk in rate which was very desent but then the lady in reception asked if we were members and we signed up as we travel when we can. I cant remember her name but she had dark hair with a blue streak in. She was very friendly and accomodating. She gave us advice on where to eat and it turned out to be great advice. The hotel was very quiet and we had a nice room on the ground floor away from the other guests which was nice. The room was nice and clean and a good size. The beds and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast was included. Not a huge selection but for some, enough. A few hot items. Plenty of cereals and muffin choices and juice and coffee. The lady that was looking after the breakfast area was really nice and friendly. Again, no name but she had grey longish hair up in a ponytail. Free parking. Places to eat more across the highway so it would be best to drive over.

Wasn't aware that it had outside room entrances. I don't feel secure with that. Worst of all-no elevators! Being older with a bad knee made it very difficult to carry luggage. The handicap parking slots were taken by cars with no handicap placards. I know this is hard to check, but they could at least mention a warning when checking in. Beds were okay. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the are, they had a good selection of hot foods and cold items for breakfast. You were able to get coffee any time of the day. The hotel was convenient to stores and shopping. Information at the hotel for things to do in the area. Hotel was easy to get to.

Location near many shops, restaurants and mall. Friendly and helpful staff. Small, but clean room. Stayed in handicapped room. Great walk in shower. TV would occasionally act up by not wanting to turn back on, but patience prevailed and finally remote and TV working as a team once more. Otherwise all was good.

100% sanitation rating. Very friendly staff. Wide variety for breakfast. Felt safe and welcomed. Multiple restaurants and a movie theater within walking distance. Nice outdoor pool for guest use only. What more is there to say? Perfect

This place has friendly staff who were truly helpful. It also has Spacious clean rooms and Internet that works. There is lots of parking with easy access to the rooms. A pleasant clean pool. What more could you want?

I stay at best Western all over the world when I travel. the bed are so comfortable, my room was clean and quite. the food is good and ready on time. the desk clerk greet me and with a welcome bag of snacks.

My fiancé and I go here almost every weekend to get away. The staff are super friendly. The breakfast is delicious and the perfect temperature. The beds are comfortable and spacious. It is the perfect place for a getaway.

I had a great stay here! My room was clean, the bed was comfy, the heating and AC worked, the breakfast was yummy! It's easy to get to and there are many restaurants nearby to eat at. The employees were very generous and easy to talk to.

No complaints! Excellent all the way around. Room was as expected, more television channels than expected. Breakfast was great and service could not have been better. Great location too. Close to shopping, restaurants and movie theater near by.

This Hotel is in a great location the malls close by all kind of restaurants is close by Walmart everybody loves Walmart the gym the security is perfect at night there's a lot of light outside very safe place to be rooms are amazing

We stayed two nights and came to town to attend a funeral. This motel was located in an area with several restaurants, Walmart and pharmacies within walking distance. Tis motel has rooms that are entered from the outside, which I was not expecting, but ended up being okay. We had a king room and although space was a bit tight it was good for my wife and I. The room was clean and smelled fresh. This was a concern because there are smoking rooms at this hotel and smoke travels. I suspect the smoking rooms were on the other side of the hotel because I never smelled any smoke in or near our room. There was a decent amount of furniture with nice cabinetry and a large TV with lots of cable channels, which is a plus. Although the room was a bit tight the bathroom was quite large and well appointed with nice fixtures and the best lighting I think I've seen in a hotel bathroom. Everything was very clean. Linens were very good and 3 sets of towels were provided which is nice. Breakfast was very good. We had eggs and sausage and biscuits and gravy both days of our stay. Breakfast staff was excellent, very helpful and accommodating. Check in and check out were a breeze. Highly recommended.

Booked via Hopper for a Friday-Monday visit on Friday NIGHT. Had a family emergency and had to leave Sunday morning. Told no problem getting refund by GM - refused to refund Sunday night stay LATER...

Great place to stay the price could be better but overall great needs to replace all broke Refrigerators and to be able to make your own waffle also need bottle water for breakfast as welll!!! Other than those two things i think I was pleased with my stay I be coming back

The hotel was great other than the temperature of the room. It was extremely humid and a dehumidifier was provided, but it was still hot and humid and the dehumidifier had to be dumped out several times. I do believe that the heat could have been worse with in being nearly 100 degrees outside daily, so I do recommend staying. The breakfast had selections between fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles, and more. The room was cleaned when I arrived and I chose to skip the cleaning until I left.

Hotel room was extremely clean and modern. Bathrooms were super small. You could open the door from the shower stall. There were some seedy clientele there when we checked in late which made us feel a little concerned. Breakfast was provided free and had the most variety we've seen. Oatmeal with fixings, cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, omelettes, sausage, and more!

What do I start to say about a staff of people. We have to rush down and the anxiety of not having a place to stay was out at ease. The hotel is clean and it is so comfortable to stay! Highly recommended

I stay in many hotels all over but I come back to this one year after year. This is my favorite. Consistent good service often by the same employees year after year. Pleasant rooms. Great pool. Good breakfast.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and the front desk staff was very nice. However, there are some upgrades needed. The bathroom is very small! When in the shower it is so small your body is touching the shower curtain, which I think is very unsanitary. When using the bathroom the area is so small also.

I would have rated our stay a 5 but the heating unit was loud and bothered my husband. The service was great and all the employees we encountered were very nice. The room was super clean and had a micro and frig w/freezer. Which was nice to refreeze our water bottles. There are lots of eating establishments you can walk to. The breakfast was a nice hot breakfast with plenty of side choices. Definitly worth a stop

make pillows more variety, keep prices low, keep friendly staff and breakfast should last till 10 am daily , at least have cereal milk so easy clean up for staff , have coffee made for check out , time 11 am , when i got back to kitchen it was out

This hotel has an amazing staff that made my experience a real pleasure. The facility was very clean and accessible to nearby amenities. Highly recommend this affordable hotel that gave me a 5 star experience.

Clean!!!! Great ladies working at front desk and serving breakfast. Did I say CLEAN!!! Price was good. Nice big room. Wish breakfast had a bit more to offer as far as hot foods, but due to covid, it's understandable.

So I was staying at the hotel the night before my college graduation and specifically booked a room with a Whirlpool in to to have a nice relaxing night as a treat to myself for making it though the last 4 years of college. When I got there the staff told me I got upgraded to a room with a bigger bed, nothing else, and when I got to the room it did not have the whirlpool, which was one thing I spent weeks looking forward to. I even tried to make the best of it and still have a relaxing bath but the textured floor in the bath makes it anything but relaxing.

People at the hotel was very pleasant. We had a problem with noise and it was taken care of immediately. Nice items for breakfast considering the covid restrictions. Hotel is located near restaurants and shopping.

We stayed a weekend in February and I have to say This hotel was one of the nicest best western I ever been too. The stay was great and the rooms were super clean. The staff was all very helpful during my stay but karmin she was fantastic. She made us feel welcomed and safe. We have not traveled much during the pandemic and she made sure we were comfortable. Everyone there working during this pandemic deserve a raise! Thank you so much for making our getaway a great trip!

Pluses: uniformly great personnel, smart distribution at breakfast (albeit with limited items), very clean, attentive to our request for no cleaning personnel to enter our room during our week-long stay, solid Internet, huge TV (in the suite). Minuses: bed needed a topper or updated mattress, but was ok; I'd prefer to not log in with the hotel password every day. The older style, two-level outdoor access might not be for everybody, but for these days of COVID-19 it is actually a positive, I think.

Each year, folks who belong to the online group Treadleon, gather in Monroe to share their enthusiam for people-powered sewing machines (NC TOGA, Treadleon Gathering and Academy) The group has chosen BW for lodging for many years, and we have always found the accommodations comfortable and the staff accommodating!

We're traveling to Florida and stopped in Monroe to visit friends. Our friend recommended this hotel and I'm glad we took her advice. It was a really nice place at a decent price. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast had a good variety.

Decided to not go for just the cheapest option just to sleep for the night. I'm glad we did. The beds, pillows and breakfast were worth the extra $30/night; not to mention the "contractor work crews" at the cheap places wanting to drink, party and yell down the parking lot all night.

Hotel is ok at best. This hotel is an exterior property. When checking in, no staff at the front desk, I did notice a lady in the lobby wearing a football Jersey, sitting watching the game. She looked up at me and said can I help you. Had to stay an extra night a different lady at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. Also saw the breakfast attendant walk through the lobby with an unlit cigarette in her mouth. Room nice and clean and beds were comfortable.

Hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. Hotel lobby is very nice and clean. Room is very clean, like the new décor. Breakfast has a nice variety of choices and it is nice that it is included with your stay.

Better than my Courtyard Marriott stay at half the price! Courteous service, awesome, free continental breakfast which Courtyard does not offer. Here snack are reasonably priced and I paid $7 for chip and 20oz drink at Courtyard Marriott; absolutely ridiculous! I'd always choose Best Western now, if all are like this one! Loved it.

We need an ADA accessible room on first floor and have had many problems getting this with other chains even with specific reservations. our room was exactly what we needed and reserved. Our room was clean, the staff very friendly and breakfast above what we'd expected. Excellent value.

This is by far the best hotel in Monroe NC. We have tried to others and not been of the quality that Best Western offers. Had clean modern room with great WIFI and a pretty good breakfast offering. Staff quite friendly and had no problems at all.

Hotel employees are super friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Hotel is clean and has everything you really need. Newly remodeled. Breakfast is a bonus with both hot and cold choices even vegan. I love the convenience of being close to stores and good food places.

I was traveling for work training to Monroe, NC this past week and this is one of the hotels that was recommended to stay at. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly, price was decent and it was convenient to both restaurants and stores.

We stayed here 2 nights while we attended a Nascar race and I would do it again. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the price was reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was beyond what I expected with eggs, toast, sausages, waffles, hot oatmeal along with fruit and the usual continental items.

Rooms were very nice and clean, staff was extremely nice and helpful the decor was very nice, we had a King bed that was very comfortable the room was set up so nice. My husband and I will definitely stay again

This hotel was convenient to Indian Trail and we always try to stay at Best Western hotels if we can , staff was really pleasant and the room was clean , pleasnt ,and convenient for short walk to the car

This was my second stay at this hotel. We had a great experience again. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. They had a large breakfast area with hot, delicious food. From eggs and biscuits & gravy to waffles, cereal, pastries, oatmeal, etc. Everything was well stocked and very clean. Good coffee and orange juice.

This hotel is located close to almost everything a person needs. Restaurants, gyms, department stores and several other fast food places. Easy access to all of the great place you have at home. Very clean area.

The Hotel staff and hotel were excellent and we appreciated their service. We were displaced during Hurricane Florence from our home in Carolina Beach and booked this hotel. Nicely furnished rooms, very clean, hard working staff made our visit enjoyable in what was a tough time.

Before I discovered the joy and excitement of booking through Priceline and Hotwire, Best Westerns were my go to hotel/motels in which to stay. They always featured comfortably sized rooms and reasonably attractive overall appearance at a reasonable low cost. I think, however, that I am now spoiled to spend approximately the same prices by picking location and minimum star rating - if possible, I would also never book motels, again, either; I just feel a little vulnerable when my door leads right outside. That side, this Best Western was motel, the room was fine and spacious enough, the bed was comfortable and the location was close to a slew of stores and restaurants. The offerings for the free breakfast were less than I become accustomed to, but again, there were so many other dining establishments nearby that was a minor issue. The front office clerk was especially pleasant and helpful, even making sure that I clocked my credited points for my stay as I am a Best Western Rewards member. I think, however, that my minimum choices of BW's in the future will be BW Plus.

We came to the area to watch my son play hockey for the Charlotte Rush. What a wonderful find. Very clean rooms. Well maintained property. Renovated lobby. Jackie and Kelly at front desk are very friendly. Great stay for the price point.

Stayed overnight at this location when in area visiting family. My husband & I stayed in a King mini-suit. Spacious accommodation, quite clean, very comfortable bed. Internet in room worked really well. Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful at both check-in & check-out. We liked the fact that several dining options were located close to hotel. We enjoyed dinner right across the street at Logan's Roadhouse. We both agree that this Best Western will be our choice for lodging when we return to Monroe.

We have friends and family near this hotel and always stay here because of the comfortable beds, quiet nights, and clean environment. Husband loves the pool and enjoys its close proximity to the room. Breakfast items are healthy and easily accessible. We stay at this location primarily for its safety, easily location,and always appreciate our privacy.

Kelly handled our mishap with such ease and professionalism. She called me back every time she said she would and solved our simple mistake quickly! It's very hard to find THAT kind of hospitality even in this industry. All I can say is WOW Kelly!!! Thank you so much. High quality hotel. Free breakfast with many choices. Very clean rooms. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Free internet in rooms. We have stayed here before and will stay here again in the future.

They gave us a free upgrade to a larger room, which was very nice. The room is very clean, the bed comfortable. The only criticism i've got is about breakfast; they use disposable plates, cups and cutlery. In my opinion that doesn't tie in with their claim of being “green”.

We had a great spacious room with a couch to sit. It was clean and well maintained. What keeps on wondering me is the plastic cutlery and cardboard plates at breakfast. What would be better for the environment; plastics or washing up the dishes?

Room was clean and comfortable. Maid service was very thorough. Internet was fast and easy to log on, not like other hotels. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Coffee was hot and ready early.

Great location, affordable price, Miss Jackie made check in simple and was extremely plesant .She is awesome. The room was impeccable. The maintenance staff does an outstanding job , thanks Jackie ,Kelly, Chris and the security officer. This is one of my favorite hotels. Bestwestern is the best.

I made reservations at last minute and was very pleased with my choice. The room was excellent and the rates were great. I will be choosing Best Western again in the future. I was only 15 minutes away from my destination and close to a mall so I was able to do some shopping.

The rooms are very clean and up to date. Hotel has a pool, has ice machines outside with venue machines also. The shower and toilet is up against each other In a small room. The breakfast is pretty good. Has everything u need in the morning. I would be coming back if ever in the area again

people went out of their way to make you feel at home. Special attention was provided when problems occurred with the printer in their business center. Hotel might be able to present a little better breakfast like the Best Western in Matthews, NC.

Stayed 3 nights at this motel. Had a clean, comfortable room and the staff were super friendly. Good breakfast of Jimmy Dean sandwiches, juice, fruit, coffee! There are several nice restaurants close by and Belks is right behind the motel. Would highly recommend this motel.

We like taking the autotrain, but wanted to visit friends instead in Monroe. The hotel has outside walkways, we noticed smokers outside their rooms ( non smoking rooms ) so I would say the smokers need an outside lounge that non smoking people could get to their doors. In Canada, building code says smokers can't smoke within 27 feet of an entrance

Clean, updated hotel with comfortable mattresses and pillows. Courteous staff. Good breakfast choices. Large TVs and dependable WiFi. Convenient to area restaurants and shopping. This has been our hotel of choice for 6 years while having a student at Wingate University. They provide a University discount also.

Comfortable and secure. A little louder than usual....making for a difficult night. Love the proximity to restaurants and activities in the area. Visit here several times a year to see family and friends. Love the beds and cleanliness of the rooms......always feel safe.

Enjoy my stay the lobby was clean and nice they had nice treats to offer customers and the brownies were amazing, the room was nice and clean and the bed was so comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful, the Internet was not that great but overall have a great stay.

got to love a house keeper knocking at 8,00 in the morning brought that up at the front desk was told normal ok first time at a best western hotel last time had to wait till 3.00 some how all rooms were still dirty at 1.00 room did smell

I had a pleasant stay here, the room did have a slight odor, but a little spray of air freshener took care of that, the beds were nice and comfortable, good pillows, great water pressure in shower, breakfast had a decent variety including ready made sandwiches in fridge to warm up. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, and is close to plenty of shopping and restaurants, and it's also right off the highways. There is pool and a fitness center directly across the street. Pleasant staff, clean rooms.

Clean, friendly, comfortable motel with an exceptional staff at your fingertips when you need them. Solid WiFi, safe environment, convenient parking. The upgraded TV's are amazing. Big fridge for long-term staying, awesome water pressure, and great location. Best Western is the best value, hand down.

The hotel was great. The employees were very professional. The complimentary breakfast was perfect. We stay in the Quality Inn across the street. The Quality Inn was a bad experience. It was a brothel instead of hotel.

I was very surprised at the qualityof the hotel. Great staff and wonderful rooms for an excellent price! The breakfast provided great variety as well as being quick and easy so that I could get to my meeting. It's in a great location.

My room was very clean and comfortable. The check in was fast and very friendly. Would have loved to have had hot breakfast items though. Many restaurants and a mall are near by. I will be staying here again when in the area.

Check in was a nightmare as the desk clerk ran my card for full amount of stay and the $25 "hold" for incidentals, instead of the $25 incidental hold. She did this twice all the while stating that they did not do that. No apology given either. She did correct it while talking to the credit card company. Turning on the heater set off the smoke alarm. Microwave did not shut off properly allowing the cooked item to be burnt. Strangely having a room full of smoke did not set off the smoke alarm. Front desk manager did not offer any compensation for how we were treated upon check in. Only an apology (that did not seem very sincere), and a vague promise to look into the matter. Room was spacious enough and clean. Hotel is located close to Walmart, a small mall, and a few restaurants, as well as the town's aquatic center. Breakfast lady is a people pleaser who will go out of her way to make the breakfast experience as best as possible. There is no stove, so no hot breakfast here. There is a variety of breakfast sandwiches (mostly Jimmy Dean), breads, a waffle maker, and packaged hard boiled eggs, cereals (including oatmeal packages) and gluten free Corn Chex, hot coffee, apple and orange juice, milk, and Bigalow tea assortment, as well as fresh fruit (clementines and bananas this week). Given the way we were treated at check in and the attitude at check out from the front desk manager, I cannot recommend this hotel to any of my coworkers.

Nice Motel away from a very congested road, so it was quieter than many places in the area. Yet it was still close to shopping, restaurants and services. The motel staff was great...cordial, responsive and caring to our needs.

I have stayed at the Best Western in Monroe, NC for the past 5 years and LOVE the staff Kellie and Linda. They have always made my stay warm and welcoming. Check in and check out were easy and painless. I REALLY hated to leave!!!!!

Don't advertise as a Hotel and its a motel. Teach your staff how to take the reservations without people having to keep calling back to get confirmations. All of them should be able to answer with the same answers. I

Room was very nice. We got the supreme room and the rate would have been okay had the air conditioner worked. No meats nor eggs on the breakfast bar but I guess that is an individual requirement which some may not find necessary. Spacing was adequate. Some of the staff could use some additional training on dealing with the public. Location within Monroe is very good.. lots of nice restaurants in the immediate area.

Last minute decision to stay, but found friendly staff, clean lobby and room, comfortable beds and free breakfast to get you started. The stairs were the only drawback for us. But overall we were pleased with our stay.

This is a great spot in Monroe with easy access to Wingate University. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful while I was there and the breakfast area was clean, well organized and provided a good variety of options.

This Best Western is in a convenient location. The room was clean, comfortable and everything in good working order. Had a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed in a quiet room. The TV was good size, the bathroom was very roomy. The breakfast area was clean, the coffee was hot and there were many choices for breakfast items.

Not much else to add. Room was clean. Very dated with the décor. Fitness center apparently has been out of commission for a while because a guest "busted it up". Appears that the owner has no intention of fixing it. Employee said that they have guest passes to the YMCA across the street, but they are locked up. The next morning the day shift desk workers knew nothing about passes and that I would have to pay out of pocket to use the facilities. Hmmmm. . . . Why would I stay here again? Oh, that's right, I won't!

I was a little leery , seeing the location. Looks can be deceiving. This motel ( not really a hotel) is central to everything. No crazy directions to get to food, entertainment or venue. Just smack dab in the middle of Monroe, which is a pleasant little town. I traveled with myself and teen daughter. Hotel staff was amazing. So welcoming and nice. The lobby is better than average, clean and bright. Our check in was smooth and the lady was very professional and very friendly. She gets five stars! The parking is ample, typical of a motel, aka park in front of your room door. The room was clean , not super spacious, but not tiny either. It was very clean. Our 2 queen room had a tv, mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, iron and hair dryer. Room is a bit dark and you really don't want your curtains open due to foot traffic. The pool area was clean , although I did not use the pool . The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Now for the negative parts. The bathroom. The bathroom was spotless clean. However it was tiny. No fan. When I say tiny, I mean my 4 foot 10 , 98 lb daughter even stated it was cramped. The ceiling in the shower is lower than the rest of the bathroom which is odd. She was able to stand in the shower and place her hand on the ceiling, while on tip toe. Why is this a problem? Well had my son or husband , each 6 foot 2, traveled with us they would have had to almost duck to take a shower. anyone over 6.2 would simply not fit. I am 5'6 and I felt claustrophobic but I didn't have to duck. All and all a minor complaint. Unless you are tall. The other down side and why I would not recommend to families, there is ALOT of foot traffic. This may be a one-off . We stayed Friday to Saturday. There was a group of gentlemen that walked from a restaurant to their rooms , rather intoxicated and very loud. Mind you they were not being vulgar, or destructive, just speaking and yelling to each other very loudly in Spanish. Also slamming doors. So that really isn't the motels fault, but I think it is important to mention . If my daughter was little and napping it would have certainly woke her up screaming. So keep it in mind. For a 1 night stay , it was clean, safe and cozy. I would recommend for business traveler ( there was a small business center in the lobby) , the breakfast is clean and abundant or I would recommend to a traveler like me, who has a teen with them for an out of state competition. Great location, excellent staff, and fair price for what you get.

We had to stay 2 nights for work. This hotel was right in the heart of EVERYTHING! It was clean and comfortable. The office staff could not have been any nicer. The breakfast was nice before we had to go to work. The very BEST point {for me!} is that they had smoking rooms!!!

We checked in around 3pm on May 5 2017. The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. I can't remember her name. We came without no idea where we were going to stay but after talking to her we easily made our decision. Even though she wasn't feeling well she had a wonderful welcoming smile on her face.

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Monroe, NC Best Western. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was adequite. We would definitely stay there again. It was also very conveinent to our relatives.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Convenient location to Wingate University, Charlotte airport, shopping and several attractions at a reasonable price. There are many good restaurants nearby as well. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The room was very clean and the people who worked there bent over backwards to help you with anything you needed. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again. They have non smoking rooms which I like very much. It is in a convenient location with plenty of places to eat and shop. And the room had a fridge and microwave.

This is second time that my wife and I have stayed at this Best Western in Monroe and have definitely enjoyed it both times and will definitely be back again. We stay here to watch our Grandson play baseball with the Wingate Bulldogs.

I had a good 1 day stay at the hotel. The King size bed was comfortable room was a nice size, bathroom was a little small but we managed. It was close to several restaurants so the location was great. I would come back again.

I know it's hard to tun down business when these construction projects occur in your vicinity, but you think you would try to keep them under control. I was awakened every morning at 6:00am by yelling and cars starting and doors slamming. This also occurred every evening when they returned. Also, don't expect to get the room you booked, I booked a king, called in advance to let them know I would be arriving late, and was still stuck in a Double with no explanation. I'll never stay here again. I would drive 30 miles rather than give them my money.

I ended up at this hotel after the original place I booked turned out to be a disaster. The woman at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were incredibly clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very typical for a continental breakfast, but don't expect anything special. I would definitely stay here again due to their reasonable rates and friendly staff.

People were very friendly and assisted in several ways. Very good selection of breakfast items and close to shopping to pick up any last needed items. Very close to good variety of restaurants. It was pretty close to major highways so access was easy; however, there are no signs on Roosevelt Avenue to show where the hotel is actually situated.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The only issue we had on this visit, was that the hot water ran out on two different nights. Called the front desk, they apologized and said that a group just got back, so therefore the hot water ran out. Other than that, we had no other issues. Will definitely stay here again..

Very clean, up to date. Looked for something a little less expensive but all reviews noted things such as out dated, filthy, and worst of all, bed bugs. I was willing to pay a little more to get a nicer place for just the one night. Bed was comfortable. Had free breakfast, with a variety to choose from. Lady at the desk was friendly. Hotel is right next to a busy highway, but didn't seem to be a problem. I would recommend this hotel.

Booked this room with short notice, but still received a very decent rate. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very nice lady working check in. She handled it all quickly and offered me sweet treats and coffee. My room was very clean, spacious and very well stocked. I was quite comfortable here and slept so soundly. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and I will stay again if I have the chance.

Price was good. Staff was good. Room was good. Location was good. A very clean hotel. Well kept. Rooms were clean. I stay in a lot of hotels in my line of work. I will stay at this one again when I am back in the area.

Although it's been a couple of years since I'd had the opportunity to come back, everyone remembered us, and we were treated like family. The experience of staying at this motel is completely relaxing, allowing us to focus during the day on what we had to achieve in the Charlotte area. This is exactly what one needs in a motel stay. The beds were comfortable and relaxing, the rooms are Spic&Span clean, the bathroom was just as clean, and all fixtures and faucets worked perfectly. WiFi worked when we needed it, the room and whole property felt safe and secure, and the staff was as accommodating as is possible for anyone. Sometimes motels lose their enthusiasm and their standards over time. After many years, this Best Western has indeed maintained and perhaps even improved its service.

great service and clean...breakfast is good and relax area...close all that you need ...restaurant...Wal-Mart across the road down a block...work gym across the street with pool...very convent to the highway for easy excess to the continue the trip

Have stayed here several times and enjoyed the stay. Nice place and very friendly staff. Will be back when I am in this are for sure. Especially like they have smoking rooms. The breakfast attendant goes out of her way to make sure quest are taken care of.

Great location close to restaurants and entertainment. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy excess . Staff were friendly. The area was quiet and the mall was within walking distance to movies, food and shopping.

We came to the hotel and small bites of cakes and cookies individually wrapped..the staff was friendly and helpful and had honored my wishes for a ground floor room. The room was clean and neat. It was quiet and plenty of parking. Breakfast was fresh and good. There was a good variety of foods to choose from. It was a good stay for 3 nights.

Did not have reservation, but desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming. Made us feel right at home. Room was very clean and attractive. I was especially impressed with size of bathroom and fixtures were modern and clean. I certainly will consider stopping at Best Western on next trip based on this experience.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and found it to be very clean, excellent service, and conveniently located. Both days, our room was supplied with plenty of clean towels, toiletries, and cups. The continental breakfast was great and the hotel staff was friendly and efficient. We believe that we got more than our money's worth from our stay! We stayed here on our way to Myrtle Beach. Hotel was very clean! Staff was very helpful. We was able to get a suite at the last minute. Continental breakfast was very good. Check in and check out very efficient and professional. Would stay here again.

We visit Monroe,NC often and have stayed at about every hotel in the area. A few years ago we arrived in the area late one night and did not have reservation any where. We called Best Western and after speaking with Kelli for the first time who was very helpful and concerned we knew this would be home away from home. We have been staying there every since and would not consider anywhere else.

We stayed at the Best Western several times in Monroe, North Carolina and the rooms have always been clean and neat. The employees at this location were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast area was always clean and well stocked. The internet in the rooms worked great and there were enough channels on the TV to pick from.

The first hotel we stopped at had just one suite available for $179. They suggested we try the Best Western just down the road. We got a very nice room for $99. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Overall good service. Brownies and muffins, fruit and hot beverages offered at check in. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Good selection of breakfast items. Clean room. Quiet.

Spent a night in Monroe, NC on our way to Florida. I used to live in Monroe but it was before this Inn was built. It was very nice. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, as well. I would recommend this Inn.

My stay was wonderful. The room was exceptionally clean. I am very picky and a germaphobe I would notice if it wasn't.. The price was excellent considering all the amenities given, I have relatives in Monroe and when I visit, The Best Western is the only place I would stay. This motel Is highly recommended.

This is a nice and clean hotel that is very convenient to shopping, dining and late night entertainment. That and it's close to my sons school makes a perfect fit. The breakfast is basically continental with the addition of fresh made waffles. A nice layout of items for sure...

For a night or two a great value great location many places to eat close by. Staff very friendly and helpful breakfast was ok for something quick. This is an old exterior door type hotel but felt safe and secure. I would stay here again

Caring and helpful staff. They go out of their way to meet some of my special needs. Usually quiet and convenient to restaurants and shopping. Since I stay there frequently they do not hesitate to upgrade my room whenever possible.

We stayed in this hotel for a week the end of Jan and first part of Feb, 2016..The room was very clean, smelled good, and well furnished. The staff was exceptionally helpful and house keepers were thorough. I am usually considered a clean freak, and I usually try to be patient but am most often having something cleaned over or doing it myself. I absolutely just relaxed and enjoyed doing nothing at this hotel. The breakfast was nice, the breads were individually wrapped to stay safe and fresh. Wonderful!

Excellent place to stay, very friendly staff, always ready to help you with any issues, lots of parking spaces, clean rooms, comfortable beds, restaurants with in walking distance. When I'm in this area I will return to this hotel and I normally stay at Holiday Inn Express.

Excellent stay while on our way to myrtle beach. The rooms are very clean and modern. Their breakfast is excellent hot and very appetizing. I A very good experience And recommended if you want a nice place to stay.

We have stayed at this Best Western many times and have enjoyed ourselves each and every time. The staff goes above and beyond for their customers. The location is great for visiting Wingate University. We plan to stay again for graduation. There are so many restaurants on Route 74 that you cannot get bored with the variety of selection.

I can't say enough about the Best Western. We were advised to book the Holiday Inn but it was full. I am so glad we chose Best Western in Monroe. The staff couldn't have been more kind and gracious. The rooms are spacious with jacuzzi and the beds are immaculate, the internet was great. I am a world traveler and this was the best experience we ever had! You won't be disappointed.

I stayed here for work but was treated like royalty. Although breakfast wasn't prepared yet, I had to be at work at 6AM and the attendant let me in every morning to get juice, yogurt and a piece of fruit. (Coffee was available too!) Although it's just off of Hwy 74, it's quiet even on the highway side. I had a corporate rate, but a spacious room on the first floor as requested. Daily newspapers and little treats at the front desk are standard here. Wish I could stay somewhere like this every week!

The hotel staff and room were great. It was close to campus and easy in and out. We had great options for food like Stone Table for dinner and DFC were both nearby. The southern hospitality of the staff at the Best Western was great and refreshing.

Room was awesome, breakfast was great! We love staying in this hotel when visiting our son at Wingate University! Feels like home away from home! Lots of room, very clean and very pretty and cozy! Well worth every dollar spent!

My husband drove up a week ago from our home in Galveston. He grew up here. The purpose of the trip was several fold in that he visited his daughter and four of his grandkids and sat with his mother in her assisted living facility for a week and actually called Bingo for them. Side note: Class reunion in Monroe! So I flew in last night. It took 7 hours to get here with driving time to the Houston airport. Hubby booked a room 5 minutes from the airport in Charlotte. We stayed the night with plans to come to Monroe the following morning so he could have breakfast with his high school pals. Prior to my arrival he tried to find a place in Monroe for us to stay. Everything was booked except for the Jameson Inn. They let us check in early which was nice BUT, has the place ever been cleaned. I could not even sit on the bedspreads and the place stunk to high heaven, non smoking room to boot! I told my husband I could not stay there. He proceeded to his breakfast and I went about the business of finding a new place to stay. As luck, or divine intervention would have it I booked a room here at the Best Western in Monroe and discovered I had mis typed my email address for the confirmation email. I called travelocity to plead my case about the horrible place I was in and wanted to make sure my email address was changed so I had proof, more for myself, that I had another place to stay. She promptly put me in touch with Liz The Amazing here at the Best Western and I again pleaded my case. She assured me that she was going to put housekeeping on the Job immediately so I could check in EARLY! I contacted my husband at breakfast and said Liz assured me we could check in within the hour. I also told him that I wanted to stop and get her a little gift because she essentially saved our marriage! LOL. We walked in and I thanked her profusely and presented her with a small orchid plant. The next words out of her mouth stunned me. She said, " I wanted to make sure your stay with Best Western was a pleasant one SO I upgraded you to a suite". WOW! Where do you get service like that? I know. Best Western Monroe, NC. Liz made us feel so welcome and at home that we decided to stay another night!

Have been staying at this location for several years, and still very happy with my choice. Rooms are comfortable, beds sleep good, breakfast is a good experience. Good location, as it is close to most shopping and restaurants. Short ride to family in Charlotte, Pageland, and Jefferson. I am always pleased with the value for the price, and service has always been good.. Really enjoy my stay in NC

We stayed here only one night but were so impressed! The staff was super friendly and the room was Awesome!!!!!!!! What a wonderful surprised when I walked into the room and it was not only super clean and beautiful but it didn't smell at all! Earlier in the week I had to stay at another hotel. Their prices were the same but the first room was dirty and stinky! I was just wanting for the night to be over so I could get out of there!!! This Best Western was so nice that I didn't want to leave. (lol) I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stay at this Best Western 3 times a year while visiting for our Grandchildren's Birthdays. Rooms are always clean, staff has always been friendly and always willing to accomadate our needs. The hotel is in an area where there are many resturants and stores in case you forgot something.
