    « Post Thanksgiving trip »

We live this Best Western Plus. This is a great deal for the money. 2 TV's sitting area, kitchen area . This is 2 year in a row that we stopped for an overnight 1 night stay. They have a Excellent free breakfast with eggs ,bacon, waffles, cereals, baked goods, fruit, yogurt. Plenty of seats also a TV. They have newspapers- but they were gone by 9 am.

    « Outstanding Accommodations »

This location had the feel more of a bed and breakfast than a BW hotel. The staff was professional, friendly and went out of their way to ensure a pleasurable stay. Rooms and public spaces were outstanding. I would definitely stay here again should my travel plans bring me back to Mentor.

« Very nice place to spend the night »

My husband and I arrived quite late in the evening, the last ones to register. I was very grateful that they had held the reservation and not given it away. The room was quiet and spacious. The outside of the building has more of bed and breakfast look to it than a normal hotel as there is a pleasant porch with chairs as you enter the lobby. It can be a bit difficult to find a parking place(especially if you arrive late as we did). I did notice a vacant lot next to the parking area where it looked like some people had parked. Perhaps that has been purchased for expanded parking but I don't know for sure. This is handicap accessible with a ramp into the lobby and an elevator to the upper floors as well as to the breakfast area located below the lobby. Not sure if the main doors into the hotel have a button to open them but you may want to check on this if it's necessary. We were warned that they would be doing a fire drill in the AM and that we wouldn't be required to leave the building. Good to know ahead of time.

« Our new favorite hotel stop on our travels through Ohio »

We often break up our long drive between our home in upstate New York and our daughter's home in Kentucky with an overnight stay in Ohio. We have tried many hotels on our route but our stay last night at the Lawnfield Best Western gave us a new favorite. We have stayed here a few times in the past and remembered the friendly reception, the charming ambiance of the lobby, and the comfortable rooms. But it is the addition of an onsite restaurant that sealed the deal for us. We really appreciate the convenience of not having to drive some place for dinner after driving all day. The Skye restaurant besides being convenient was also wonderful. (See my restaurant review). We loved it. We also loved the complementary breakfast at the Lawnfield which included great breakfast burritos and bacon and other offerings. Plus we appreciated the added bonus of china plates and mugs and real utensils for breakfast. The Lawnfield feels like a real inn and not just a stop off the interstate for us, and we will be back on our next trip through.

« BEST of the Best Westerns »

This property is very reminiscent to a bed and breakfast, but so much more with the very nicely appointed king rooms and four star restaurant. This location is so unique with it's historical charm from the older home that is attached ( circa 1840 ) and has been conformed into the Pub/Lounge. What a comfortable, inviting and hospitable hotel. Thank you all for making my family's stay most enjoyable.

« Really liked the atmosphere of this hotel! »

Very comfortable and elegant for a chain hotel, alost felt like a bed and breakfast. Enjoyed our overnight so much that we drove back for a second night when we had to stay in Cleveland for another day.

    « a terrific place to stay »

Our family really enjoyed this motel. Very clean, quiet and close to everything in the area. King suites were roomy. Multiple, beautifully appointed common areas. Easy parking near any room. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful, responsive. Extensive free, hot breakfast. A little pricey without a discount, but well worth it.

    « Small-town charm »

From the appointments of the lobby and hallways to the room decor and breakfast room, this property seemed to say, "Welcome weary traveler. Make yourself at home." The staff was clearly interested in creating the atmosphere of welcome. I was thoroughly charmed.

    « Boutique Like »

Great little hotel with nice restaurant and great free breakfast (hot items). Staff is friendly. Feels cozy. Location is easy access to major roadways, but nothing 'scenic' in the area. Allows Pets for about $20 surcharge.

    « Wonderful as always »

We traveled out to Ohio from Boston to visit our son for the long Columbus Day weekend. He is attending school out there. I chose the Best Western because we stayed at two others in Vermont over the summer and became rewards members and had a great experience. The rooms and hotel are always clean, spacious, neat, updated, comfortable and affordable. I researched a lot of hotels in the Mentor Ohio and many had really bad reviews but not the Best Western. I actually booked it again for February when our son will be graduating. The Best Western is worth it! Don't bother looking anywhere else.

    « Unscrupulous business practices »

While traveling in Ohio, i stopped and grabbed a copy of the hotel magazine found at rest stops nation wide. To my delight I found a coupon that listed room price at $89 any day for this hotel. It very clearly and simply stated that double or queen room would be $89 based on availability. After arriving at the hotel, I found they did indeed have the rooms explained in the coupon available. I was told the price would be $139. When I presented the coupon I was told that rooms were not available. After a discussion, the desk person told me rooms were available, just not at that price. She explained they keep a limited number of rooms (2) at that price. I asked why that wasn't specified in the ad and she had no answer. I have spoken to employees at the Best Western Corporation and found that they support this practice. This is an unscrupulous business practice known as "Bait and Switch". It is employed to deceive the customer. If you don't understand please read this link for an explanation of this shady practice. My goal is to alert weary travelers, don't waste your time with Best Western. Do not exit the highway to stop at this property as it will very likely a complete waste of your time. We all know that when traveling long distances we are usually tired and do not have time to waste on business that who will deceive us. I also have to wonder if they use this unscrupulous, devious practice, what other sneaky practices do they employee? I have found in my travels devious people are not devious in one are, but usually will use what ever method to fleece you of your hard earned money. Stay at this property at your own risk.

    « Football weekend »

This place was absolutely great for a girls weekend away to see the New England Patriots football game. It was in a perfect location away from the stadium. Free breakfast is always a plus and it was delicious.

    « A Step back in the past ... »

I like the quaintness of the decor and the service personnel were fantastic. The food was outstanding.. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had and I appreciated the piano player. Nice atmosphere.

    5
    « Pleasure stay »

Second time at this hotel and it's a great place to stay. If you are going to a baseball or other sports game, it's only 30 minutes to the Cleveland stadiums. Mentor is a nice little town. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant.

    « Great stay »

Went to Mentor Ohio and stayed at the Best Western Plus on Mentor Avenue. The BW has an excellent staff. Lois was wonderful at the front desk. The buffet breakfast was fresh, hot and very tasty. The king room had a sitting room, central bathroom and the sleeping area. Two televisions, coffee maker refrigerator, microwave and a safe. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The best full service restaurant complete with a live piano music is on site. The food was outstanding and the price was excellent. There is a pub with great bar food and the beverages are priced on the value side. This BW was rated the best on Mentor and I would say it was my top Best Western Plus in my travels. We were there for two nights.

    « Very nice =) »

We got here at the end of a long day of driving expecting a typical chain hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was and how helpful and friendly the man at the desk was considering we made a last minute reservation at 8:30 pm and showed up around 9 or 10. The room and bathroom were nice and clean and Chris was able to get some ice for ice water despite the hour. Breakfast was nothing special but overall we had a good experience and would stay here again.

    « Nice stay »

I stayed there for one night in Oct 2016, using Priceline express deal. I had a standard room with 2 full beds, and it was about the same size as the room in other hotels I've stayed, so I guess for other reviewers mentioning super spacious room, they must had a different room type. The hotel is clean, had some antique like furniture and decorations in the hallway. The front desk is efficient and polite, so does the breakfast lady. The breakfast room is spacious and well maintained, but I am not particularly impressed with their breakfast. It is not bad, but both the quality and variety are what you expect from a 3-star hotel, no wow factor here at all. The bed quality is good, I had a good night sleep there. I also like the little fridge in the room, a nice feature I always appreciate. Overall a nice stay!

    4
    « Spacious comfort »

We very much enjoy the spaciousness of the rooms at the Best Western Lawnfield. The staff is always helpful. On this visit we needed a very early check in and they accommodated our request. We're not always fans of the "breakfast troughs" at hotels but the food here is fresh, and well presented.

    5
    « Checked in but didn't stay! »

Not long after we checked in, a medical emergency prevented us from experiencing the comfort of the room but I have no doubt it would have been great. The staff was outstanding in an emergency and very helpful and reassuring that our luggage and vehicle was safe during the 2 day hospitalization. It is a lovely hotel with restaurant and pub inside of it. A nurse at the hospital raved about their breakfasts ; )

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

This hotel exceeds expectations. The king room is very spacious with a living room area and bed room with 2 TV sets, and a mini kitchen with microwave and refrigerator with lots of cabinets. Bed was very comfy. The room, sheets and towels are very clean. I was traveling with my 8 month old daughter and they provided us with a mini crib with clean sheets on it. There is always complimentary coffee and cookies in the lobby and the breakfast is pretty great especially the mini waffles that you make your own. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

    « Best Western »

Excellent hotel and an excellent restaurant! This was the best BW we stayed in until now. The rooms are big and clean and very confortable. The reastaurant is located within the hotel and the food is just wonderful. We will come again when we will be near Cleveland. Montor is a very nice little town also.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

The Lawnfield Inn is full of antiques and has loads of character. We have stayed here 4 times now on visiting our family in the USA and always enjoy each visit. The staff are so kind and helpful and hardly change at all, which is the sign of a good, well run hotel. We look forward to our next time.

    « 1966 50th Year Class Reunion »

Being centrally located for my needs of visiting family and friends, we had an excellent time staying here. I would highly recommend this Best Western for anyone to stay at. I plan on staying here again in the future.

    « Nice »

This is a very nice and clean motel with a restaurant and friendly desk clerks. There is a refrigerator and free WiFi, but no microwave. The room has a desk with a chair, large flat screen T.V. and a comfortable bed. There is a nice showerhead with good water pressure, but poor lighting in the bathroom. The motel offers a hot breakfast with cheese scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, English muffins, variety of sweet muffins and fresh fruit.

    5
    « great hotel »

« Great Hotel, minor Glitches »

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the past two months, when traveling to the Cleveland Clinic. It is not far off Interstate 90 on the outskirts of Cleveland, close to James Garfield's house and Presidential Library. On both visits we have been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the general quality of the Hotel, and the unique furnishing of the public areas. The rooms are well appointed. The HVAC was effective and reasonably quiet. The Breakfast buffet is one of the best we have come across, in particular because my wife has celiac disease and other food allergies, and at most hotel breakfast bars she is limited to just fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Here there were several options. The Skye restaurant also provided excellent evening service, a top notch gluten free menu, a pianist, and reasonable prices given the surroundings. We did have a few gripes, however, on our second visit. One of the power outlets in the ground floor room did not work, and we had to plug the affected light into a different outlet. Although the work surfaces were clean, the housekeeper had missed secondary surfaces such as the top of the backsplash around the bathroom sink and the mirror surround. Also, we found we were sharing the bathroom with a family of ants. We reported this to the Front Desk clerk, who responded quickly with an insecticide spray and air freshener. She told us that if the house had not been full, she would have moved us to another room. The hotel also discounted our bill in recognition of the issue. We would return to this hotel

    « Clean comfort! »

Stayed only one night but it was pleasant. Clean rooms with nice décor. Friendly staff especially the woman working breakfast room Did not eat in hotel restaurant but it was quite busy during our stay. Quaint outside pool area and attractive and well maintained exterior.. Good location. Would definitely stay here again.

« Always a great place to stay »

This is my third stay while out on the Bike at this Facility. The best facility in the Chain. Its always a pleasure and the complimentary breakfast is always first rate. (real plates and flatware) We will be returning when our travel plans go near the Cleveland area.

    « best breakfast ever! »

we got caught in the rain and decided to take a chance on getting a room. It was a good decision. The room was big and comfy. It was old fashioned, clean and roomy. The shower and water pressure were good. We had a king size room with 2 tvs. The wifi was good.We didn't use the pool or eat in the dinning room but both looked nice. The only down side was the bed. The bed was lumpy, hard and uncomfortable.

    4
    « best breakfast ever! »

we truly enjoyed the breakfast at this Best Western. You could not get a better breakfast anywhere. The room was clean and roomy, the wifi was pretty good, we didn't use the pool or diningroom but both looked clean. It is a older hotel but very nice. Except the bed. Our bed was hard and lumpy and very uncomfortable

« Beautiful Hotel with Excellent Service »

I highly recommend this amazing hotel. Great staff, great service, great food. You will not be disappointed. From the moment you enter through the doors, everyone is smiling and ready to make sure your stay is one of the best ever.

« Nice place and we keep coming back »

We get to this part of Ohio about once a year and always stay at this hotel. Our most recent visit reminded us of why we love this place. We had a nice suite with a separate living room, nice bathroom with plenty of counter space, and a bedroom. Between the living room and bedroom there's a wet bar with a refrigerator and microwave. The free breakfast buffet is a step above the average with freshly made eggs, breakfast meat and plenty of cold choices as well. The woman taking care of the breakfast area is friendly and keeps the area clean and neat. Front desk staff are helpful and friendly. We will keep staying here whenever we're in the area.

    5
    « Absolutely enjoyable! »

Wonderful place to stay. The common area furnishings were so unexpected. Almost like walking thru someone's home. Our suite was large, exceptionally well appointed and clean. The included breakfast was like no other we've experienced in other complimentary breakfasts. Really, actual plates and utensils, not styrofoam and plastic! The staff was so pleasant, friendly and helpful.

« This Small Hotel Gets an A+ for Friendliness »

This is not a fancy hotel (in fact it may be a little dated) however it is clean and every person we had contact with was super friendly. There is not much in the way of fancy hotels in the Mentor or Painesville area. My husband has family in the area so we visited a different hotel last time we visited which I reviewed and believe this hotel is a much better choice for the area, maybe even the best choice however I have not visited every hotel in the area. We drove up from North Carolina and had to use the restroom as soon as we arrived as there was not a rest area for at least the last hour of the drive so we needed to run in to "take care of business" first. The tall gentleman at the desk pointed us to the rest rooms in the lobby which was my first experience with the hotel. While the hotel is not fancy I could immediately see that someone took the time to make nice little "homey" touches. These nice "homey" touches" are evident throughout the hotel. And it was very clean as well. Great first impression before check-in. Since we drove straight through, my husband wanted to take a walk after sitting for so long. So after the short and friendly check-in process was completed (by the same tall gentleman) my husband made inquiries about a walk. The man suggested a very short walk (I did not track it but it was probably a half mile) to the James A Garfield National Historic Site which was a very nice museum for the 20th president. I recommend visiting the museum if you visit the area. I learned a lot. After the walk, we ate in the onsite restaurant, Skye, which was very nice. I will probably write a separate review for that however I would like to say it was a very pleasant surprise. The same restaurant also provides room service which we did not need on this trip since it was just an overnight trip. The restaurant is also popular with locals and can get busy I understand. They also provided a nice continental breakfast in the morning which also included scrambled eggs and sausages. I happen to enjoy especially fancy breakfasts downtown in our hometown so it is difficult for me to rate a continental breakfast objectively. The room was clean and even had the luggage racks out and setup. Our room had a small refrigerator which I always consider a plus. Though it is located on a highway, our room which was even on the first floor was very quiet (I should add I wear ear plugs because I find hotel room units to sometimes be very loud). Negatives? Well it is not a fancy hotel so keeping that in mind, the only "negatives" would be some possibly outdated info I found in the binder at the desk in the room. For instance it said there was not a restaurant on site. But on top of the desk it provides info about the onsite restaurant. The management may want to take a look at the binders to make certain it is current. Bottom Line: The room rate was a great value for what we received.

    « Best »

I have stayed at many Best Western and I consider Lawnfield Inn & Suites in Mentor, OH the best. The Front Desk is very helpful. The food is excellent. We enjoyed the lounge/bar area. The breakfast was the best I have every had. Great coffee! Internet worked great. No spooling.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

This is a great place to stay. Service was excellent. Every employee went out of their way to help and make us feel at home. The décor with all the antiques is a lesson in itself. And don't forget to check out the décor in the fire exit stairs. All carpeted and decorated with heirloom antiques. Very quiet hotel. Great breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

    5
    « Great hotel »

This is the best hotel we have stayed at recently for friendliness and courtesy of staff. People at the desk are very helpful with directions and finding nearby restaurants. A very relaxing atmosphere. No problems at all! Breakfast is good as well.

« Victorian appointed hotel, great value »

We were on a two-day trip from Connecticut to Minnesota and were extremely impressed by this exceptional hotel. Although close to a major intersection in Mentor, it was quiet. The entire hotel is appointed in antiques and much love and care has gone into the service and furnishings throughout. Nice touch on the luggage rack which also had Victorian fabric strips ! Unbelievable. The breakfast was very nice, very attentive staff. (Though I could have done without the open door/kitchen across from the buffet and bucket of cleaning solution right beside it.) The feeling of an old hotel with a very reasonable price. Did not disappoint. We visited the President James Garfield home and grounds just up the road. That was a great history lesson on not a well-known president but a very industrious man in agriculture and Ohio politics, as well as learning about his lovely family.

    « Very impressive! »

This was our last stop after traveling a 2500 mile loop from NY, PA, VA, WV, KY and OH. We were treated with friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The room was spacious and extremely clean. Stayin here was was very welcoming, a nice homey feeling. This is the first time we wanted to review on-line. The website does do it justice. There some surprises at other hotels THIS WAS THE FIRST PLEASANT SURPRISE. WE WILL DEFINITELY PLAN TO RETURN HERE ON OUR NEXT VENTURE!

    « Family visit »

I stayed at the Inn this past month when I was visiting family in the area. It was just wonderful. Very comfortable, clean, and the staff were all very accommodating, professional, and friendly. Although the pool is a little small for swimming it is a nice area to relax with a drink in the late afternoon/evening. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the lady working the area couldn't be more pleasant or efficient. The fresh made waffles with Ohio maple syrup was more than a pleasant surprise; probably lucky for me I only stayed two nights. I was particularly impressed with what I witnessed in the breakfast room the 2d day. There was a man working in a service capacity, who seemed to be intellectually challenged, and the lady working the buffet was so kind and helpful to him ensuring he understood what need to be done and that he completed his job satisfactorily. That was so heartwarming and a wonderful way to start the day. I applaud the hotel and the lady managing the breakfast buffet. I will definitely be back and will be looking forward to it.

    « An Excellent Stay »

We have stayed in Mentor many times (family in the area) and usually stay at another chain hotel, but the price was cheaper so wanted to try the Lawnfield Inn & Suites, and are very glad we did. An excellent boutique hotel - terrific service and tastefully furnished. It has everything that a larger hotel has - restaurant, pub, swimming pool, fitness room, complimentary internet - as well as complimentary hot breakfast. I cannot think of any negatives during our 4 night stay. We will stay there again.

    « Our favorite hotel!!! »

We try to stay in Mentor every summer for a few days to catch some minor league baseball and this is our favorite place to stay. Service is always top notch and the rooms are always spotless. We were very excited to see new furniture in the King Suite this year. My son especially appreciated the comfort of the new sofa bed. I appreciate that staff work hard to maintain the property and the attention to detail is evident from the moment you enter the lobby. Great to see Ann again handling the complimentary breakfast area. Her food selections are always great and she keeps the dining area very clean and well stocked. We'll be back!!

    2
    « Dirty hotel »

My family stayed there for 4 nights. The place was recommended by my sister who lives around the corner. When we checked in the desk person was rude about how many of us were staying there. Then we got to the room it was really dusty, Cobb webs on the fake flowers and genital hair in the bath tub. We complained and they cleaned it really fast. Their excuse was they were rushing because we had an early check in I would not stay there again

    5
« Extremely helpful staff; great stay »

Staff was friendly and helpful, even helping us with some last minute faxing. Hotel was clean, nicely decorated and in excellent shape. The room was spacious with a nice sitting area, a good desk and plenty of outlets. The fridge and microwave came in handy. Room temp controls worked well. Shower was wonderful. Bed was a little soft for us, but overall we loved our room and the hotel. Will stay here again when we're back in the area.

    5
    « great service/great food »

The Skye Restaurant is an amazing place to eat! With great food and wonderful service It is one of the few restaurants that I would like to taste everything on the menu. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The pool looked inviting and the rooms were spotless. The breakfast bar was amazing and the choices were a great start to my day. I had a very comfortable stay.

    4
    « stop over »

Only there for one night, very quite, clean. most of the workers were very nice, a couple were rather harsh. The breakfast lady was a little over bearing. We felt like we going to do something wrong with every move. The only hotel I have been told not to touch the waffle maker. She would take care of it.

    5
« Great place to unwind! »

After a long day of driving this was a perfect place to unwind! Comfy bed, spacious room. Dining on the premises meant we didn't have to get in the car again to go get dinner! Suzanne in the pub was very helpful. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and professional. Often, free hotel breakfasts means eating from plastic plates with plastic utensils. This place offered its breakfast with real dishes and flatware. The hotel had the feel of a grand home, unlike many "cookie cutter" hotel properties.

    5
« Wonderful stay in Mentor, OH »

A best western box filled with old-fashioned style, comfortable chairs, prints on all the walls, real mugs and glasses at breakfast, in imitation of James A. Garfield's home "Lawnfield." Best of ten Best Western places we stayed this summer, and the staff were well informed and friendly. .

    4
    « Really cute place »

This cute hotel is located along a busy road in Mentor. But we never heard road noise while in our room. The room was very clean and comfortable with windows that actually opened! A mini fridge was in the room and it worked well. The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet - what more could ask for? A free breakfast was provided and the people staffing it were very friendly and efficient at keeping things refilled and cleaned up. A very nice pool was located in the front of the property, but shielded from the road with nice landscaping that provided privacy. However, we were told that to get to the pool we had to walk outside and around the front of the building instead through the inner door because it was located in the dining room. Seems like a strange place for the door to the pool. And there was a place for pool towels beside the pool, but it was never filled so we had to ask at the desk. No washer and dryer on site, however the front desk will recommend a local laundromat. I would definitely stay here again.

Usually we really like this hotel, but this time our room smelled of mildew and the shower head was disgusting. The breakfast was absolutely depressing. Never have I seen such poor fare offered. This hotel needs to up its game.

The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever encountered. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Any quetions I had about where I was going the next morning were answered clearly. The restaurant is very highly rated and has excellent food.

This was a last minute booking (literally). We were a baseball team requiring 6 rooms. Called the 800 # - located this property close to our destination for the following day. We were all pleasantly surprised that this hotel was this well appointed and comfortable. The group that I was travelling with thought I was a miracle worker for finding such a great hotel. Even though it was only one night - the stay was great.

The finest Best Western we've ever stayed in. Took a chance on same day booking and were delighted with everything from check in, to check out. Comfortable bed and pillows, very pretty decor. Restaurant offers a variety of dishes to suit any taste along with a nice wine list and a piano player. What a treat after a long day of driving. Staffers are friendly and helpful and a pleasure to talk with. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else the next time we travel through . Thanks to all!

    « Great stay! »

We stopped here without a reservation on our way to New York. The room was big, clean, and quiet. We rested well, enjoyed a great hot breakfast, and had coffee out on the porch. It was a great start to our vacation.

« Comfortable, Welcoming and Clean »

We've always chosen Lawnfield Inn and Suites when we come to Mentor for several reasons, but it's central location on Mentor Ave and Center Street, it's home-like atmosphere, cleanliness, comfort and overall welcoming staff are key to our consistent satisfaction with this hotel. The breakfast room is spacious, food is plentiful, fresh and tasty. Hotel is quiet with comfortable beds.

« A great Best Western Hotel Property »

This is an excellent hotel. It features a first class restaurant with wonderful menu options that you would not expect from a hotel chain. The service in the lounge and restaurant is exceptional and the staff if very polite, professional and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. The owner even takes time to come by your dinner table and converse with you.

    « Excellent Experience »

This hotel is a gem. If you're looking for a small hotel with outstanding service, then look no further. The room was comfortable, the furnishings genteel, the service personal and extremely helpful, and the staff sincerely wants to make guests comfortable. This is not the typical chain hotel, but a home away from home. We travel with 2 dogs--when we checked out, we were asked if the dogs enjoyed their stay (yes, but their egos are much larger as a result of the attention they received . . .) I have a serious food allergy and several intolerances: The Skye Restaurant on site worked with me extremely well. We had a lovely meal with no concerns about my comfort or safety. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Thanks for the wonderful evening!

Hotel staff greets us as family. This is our preferred hotel to stay at in Mentor, OH. The restaurant and lounge have exceptional food and beverages, and the staff is always attentive. Great location a short drive to everything in Mentor. Outdoor pool is nice and the fitness center is a great place for a morning workout. There is a great spread for breakfast and offers options for everyone.

We stopped at this hotel because it was the first one we came to. It was a pleasant surprise. Very nicely decorated, clean rooms, helpful staff, nice lounge area. Room was Huge with a separate sitting area which was nice for us. would stay here again.

« Been staying here for 4 years »

always a great home away from home... Couldn't ask for friendlier staff at the desk and at breakfast. Very convenient location. Only negative is the higher cost in summer season. The suite rooms are comfortable, though

« Wonderful place to stay »

The staff was cheerful, helpful and competent. This Best Western was in a lovely old building. We were in the area for a funeral and it was a perfect place for us to stay. The neighborhoods around the hotel were safe and we enjoyed walking. We didn't use the pool, but it looked cozy and well taken care of. This was our second stay at this facility and we will certainly go back if we need their facility again.

« Expected more for the money. »

OK room....smelled musty. Found a lower rate on the web and front desk said she could not honor it and that it happens all the time. Restaurant overpriced and didn't find the staff very friendly. Residence Inn not too far away is a way better value.

    « best night sleep! »

Staff especially attentive to our needs! Quiet and clean with a modern yet quaint atmosphere . Full breakfast was hot and delicious and clean just as the rooms were comfortable and spot on tidy. The meeting I attended was comfortable also and the staff was great at handling ever request. Reasonably priced room for location. Would not think twice about staying there! Go for it!

This was the second time that we have stayed in this hotel, and it again met our expectations. The décor of the hotel and our room was very tastefully done. We ate at the restaurant, Skye, in the evening, and the food was excellent also. Breakfast was great, and everything was kept very clean and filled. I have recommended this hotel to others, and will stay here again if we are travelling through Mentor.

    « Almost like staying at a B&B »

Super friendly staff, very nice welcome area and overall charm made it feel more like a B&B than a hotel. Cookies and coffee available around the clock and front desk staff was charming and extremely helpful.

« Very comfortable and a good value. »

The room was nicely done, quiet and clean. I had spent the day riding my bicycle from New York and I remembered staying there many years earlier. They were very accommodating. I mostly I wanted a clean and quiet room. The bed was comfortable and I sleep well. Just what I needed. The desk clerk got me a first floor room to help me with the bike. They could not have done more!

After not staying here for several years we will come back again. Carpets finally replaced and rooms updated. Breakfast was just OK. Really like the new AC/Heater units. Towels nice too for a change. Everyone was friendly.

This is a fabulous hotel. GREAT room, great staff, very clean, comfortable room, comfortable location, all and all just a very nice stay. We were on a cross country drive and often stay in Best Westerns.....this was a cut above the norm. The bar was lively but not noisy, friendly and well attended. The food was excellent. Service excellent. Beds and pillows were great. Breakfast was super. Just all around a great stay. Many thanks.

    « Exceeded Every Expectation! »

Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this property. Where to begin? After a business trip to Cleveland, I decided to stay one additional night in the area to sight-see. I chose this property merely by price point and general location... not expecting much more than the prerequisite clean bed, free parking, free WiFi, and a quick bite for breakfast. I got all those things- and more- all done incredibly well. The front desk staff was attentive and helpful. Arriving on a Sunday, the onsite restaurant was closed but it looked very inviting. When asked about a local restaurant suggestion, the young woman staffer had the perfect recommendation along with very concise and accurate directions. There is a public computer in the lobby along with complimentary coffee and cookies. The lobby- as with the entire property - is beautifully decorated, feeling more like a welcoming B&B than a chain hotel. There are so many little touches that make this property special. Even the hallways have decorative furnishings, interesting framed memorabilia, and well-stocked magazine/book racks. The breakfast room was huge, clean, and well thought out. There was a friendly and helpful attendant, "real" dishes. and a good selection of breakfast items. I had booked a King Suite for an incredibly good price. That came with a sitting room (TV, pull-out sofa, chair, desk), a kitchen-esque area (large counter-top, cabinets/drawers, microwave & refrigerator), a nice sized bathroom, and a quiet comfy bedroom with a second TV and ample wardrobe cabinet. My room exceeded every expectation. Plus, it featured that hotel rarity- windows that actually open! It was so refreshing to be able to feel a fresh breeze in the morning. If I ever return to anywhere even vaguely near this part of Ohio, I will definitely stay here again. I cannot recommend the Best Western Plus- Lawnfield Inn & Suites enough.

    « Long Day's End »

Good service even at midnight when we arrived. Breakfast was fantastic, and we were even served our waffles! We were hauling a trailer and there was no easy way to park, so they might want to consider adding options for people with trailers.

    « Wedding Stay »

Hotel was very nice to stay at, it had a nice country feel to it. There is a bar and a restaurant on site but we only made it to the bar (which was comfy and relaxing). The room itself was nice and free breakfast is always a good thing. Being a history buff, I am very disappointed that we could not check out James Garfield's home and burial place but we had to drop another couple off at their car at the wedding venue. Whomever stays at the hotel (or in the area in general) should definitely check that stuff out.

« Beautiful Property with super nice people »

We first stayed at this hotel 5 years ago when we were enroute to a wedding. We drove an extra 2 and a half hours to get here to stay overnight again and they did not disappoint. The reception desk personnel could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the right temperature and comfortable and quiet. Even though it was late and the bar was going to close, Suzanne the bartender stayed open to serve us a wonderful glass of red wine which always helps when you have driven ten hours. She was polite and friendly and made us feel like family. It was such a pleasant surprise and made the day end on such a wonderful note. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was more than helpful. My only criticism and it's a small one is that they moved the breakfast to a meeting room and when we had been there before, it was served in what is now their restaurant with alot of light and a wonderful view. We missed that and wished that it had been that way again.

    5
    « Interesting unique hotel »

Hotel is themed with memorabilia of President Garfield, whose historic home and grounds is less than a half mile from the property. The decorating is extensive and tasteful. The breakfast is excellent and included with the room. the staff are all helpful and friendly. I would recommend this to folks appreciate good service and surroundings. This is not a resort hotel. The hotel is on a heavily traveled local road and some road noise can be heard,

Excellent "boutique" style hotel, refined and distinguished atmosphere, full range of services. Very well furnished and arranged. « Good Stay »

Stayed there for 2 nights during a recent family trip. It's a nice hotel with individual characteristics. Hotel furnishing and decoration is unique and very interesting to check out. Wish I had the chance to check out the restaurant attached to it. Breakfast is excellent, and the breakfast room downstairs is well-maintained and well serviced. Staff in the hotel is very professional and provides excellent service. I was offered a room on the first floor after informing the check-in desk we had a baby with us. The staff was also kind to point out all the rooms on the first floor are pet-friendly in case we had any allergy concerns. Room is semi-modern; wi-fi is not super fast, but still acceptable. Overall, a very good stay in Ohio.

« Definitely a Plus in our Book »

We enjoyed the services of the BW Plus Lawnfield Inn in Mentor, Ohio. The lobby is charming, staff courteous and helpful. The room was extremely comfortable. There is no need to leave the hotel once you arrive as there is a pub and restaurant as well as fitness room and breakfast buffet. Fresh flowers on the tables at breakfast were a sure sign that we were in for a lovely breakfast. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. We will use this facility again for sure.

    « A warm place with personality »

This place was a real Trip Advisor find! Same cost as most of the other places but rated #1. As soon as we walked into the lobby we saw why. Warm and inviting with cozy furniture opening into an intimate dining room (with lots of people seated at the tables) and a live musician singing. Another doorway took us into a welcoming bar with 3 TV's also filled with people having a nice time. Menu had many delicious offerings and the artichoke dip was one of best we've tasted. It was a really great place to relax and unwind before going up to our room after driving in our car all day....and we could indulge in a second glass of wine since we weren't driving afterwards. Our room did not disappoint. Pristine, welcoming and large with coffee pot, nice TV, and free wifi. There was also a 24/7 coffee station in the hall on the first floor. Breakfast was excellent with cheese scrambled eggs and big sausages as well as all the usual fare. Breakfast dining area (not the same as used for the dinner dining) was also warm and inviting. We were just passing through but we might just pass through again just so we can go to this place. My only caveat would be that if you demand very basic Ikea type décor...this might not be your place but we loved the things on display and the warmth of the furnishings. Check in was very friendly and welcoming but I did notice it took a bit longer than most. All in all this place is a real find!!!

    « Lucky Find »

On a recent trip we chose to stay overnight at mid point and wanted a Best Western plus or premier. Found this location in Mentor, Ohio which is a short drive from interstate 90. We chose this based on location, reviews and the added plus of a restaurant on premises. What a fortunate choice. We had a first floor king suite, more than adequate for our needs, spacious and clean. The on site restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed a drink in the bar first and then had a lovely meal. It appeared that most of the clientele were from the local area, a positive sign for sure. There was a piano player and the restaurant was full. The included breakfast the following morning was not your typical cold cereal, juice and coffee. Hot and cold items, pastries, fruit, yogurt, waffle maker AND wait staff to clear your dishes. Which by the way were not flimsy paper plates and plastic silver ware. Since this is a trip we will be making regularly I look forward to making this our half way point. Staff was efficient and congenial upon our check in and check out. A most positive experience.

« Very modern and upscale »

This was a lovely, pleasant place to stay. Especially enjoyed Happy Hour in the bar which lasted until 7 pm. The food was very good and my room was perfect. I especially appreciated the fact that I could open the window as it is Spring and the fresh air helps me sleep.

« Different and good quality hotel in Cleveland's east suburbs at good price. »

Nice hotel with individual characteristics. Hotel is attached to 100-year-old period structure but all rooms are semi-modern and exceptionally clean. Hotel character and furnishings based on President James Garfield, who's memorial is nearby. Fine bar with good wines and appetizers and staff. Desk clerk was very responsive to our allergy concerns and gave us a larger room that was allergy-free and always pet-free. Free breakfast buffet was large and very good and fully-stocked even though we came at end of service time.

« A MUST IF YOU ARE STAYING NEAR CLEVELAND'S EAST SIDE!!! »

Seriously, this is the best East side Motel for the price....BAR NONE....The hotel is immaculate, the bed comfortable, good wifi and tv, great bar/restaurant in the hotel, close to ALL the Mentor area shopping. I needed to heat a left over dish for my wife, and order a side salad from the restaurant. They promptly grabbed the leftovers, and, 5 minutes later, came back with a tray, silverware, napkins, the side salad, and the reheated leftovers.....less than $5:00....C'mon, where do you get service like that today??? I will ALWAYS stay there if in the area, from now on! The Staff are great, too, by the way...and the price, less than $100:00/night.......yep, that's what I said....less......

    « A Hotel with the feel of a B&B »

Business trip-1st floor King-sitting area, frig and microwave. Very pleasant stay, my room was good size, clean, quiet and close to everything. I found that the staff was very open, friendly and helpful. The hotel had the feeling of a bed and breakfast in its décor which made me feel at home and the price was a good value when compared to other similar hotels. Easy access to internet. Very nice restaurant on-site, but a bit on the pricey side and visitors to the restaurant do take up some of the available parking spaces in early evening. The staff recommended some nice restaurants nearby and my business partner and I tried them out as well during our stay and had good experiences there. The breakfast was very good and hot each morning with a nice selection and the fresh waffles are fabulous. They must use a different recipe than most hotels and they are really good. There is even hotel staff to make them for you. The coffee was some of the best I have ever had a hotel and they will even make you a fresh pot late in the day if you request! I will be staying here again when I am next in the area for business or pleasure.

    « Wonderful stay »

We stay at Best Westerns when we travel as they are pet friendly. This particular Best Western was definitely a step above the others we have stayed at. All of the staff demonstrated genuine warmth during our stay ( I'm not sure how they managed that but everyone we came a in contact with went out of their way to be helpful. Case in point: we were talking to our waiter during dinner and we mentioned that we were thinking of taking a walk. A couple of minutes later he came back, told us that he checked the weather report and some storms might be coming through the area. He then directed us to where we could find a hotel umbrella just in case we might need it.). The food at the restaurant was very good, and we throughly enjoyed the live piano. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

    « Feels like home »

Friendly staff, quiet, clean, free breakfast with large selection of breakfast items, and coffee and cookies in the lobby ALL THE TIME! Like going to grandma's house. The hotel honors the memory of President James Garfield in it's furnishings and artwork. No complaints about anything at all!

    « Business trip - 1 night stay »

Convenient off I-90.Exceptional greeters and staff. It was obvious they wanted you to have an enjoyable stay. Outstanding restaurant called Skye - casual fine dining with great pricing. Had a very nice pub and it was full with 50% local and 50% travelers. The bartender went out of his way to let you taste wines. Room was fine, good value. Very clean every where. The free hot breakfast buffet had an attendant who cleared your plates, asked if there was anything she she could get you and the food was a cut above the average buffet. I mostly stay at Hampton's, and higher end motels but I will definitely stay here whenever I come back for business 3 - 4 times a year. Very satisfied stay in every category. Bill Cox, Batavia, N.Y.

    « All I needed »

Had to travel for funeral, hotel was older but very clean. Staff was very attentive, parking wasn't an issue and breakfast was available. The decor is in order with the buildings in the area (President Garfield house down the street) Bed was very firm, bathroom very clean, shower head could use an update. Would go back in a minute if needed.

« If only they would... »

I stay here annually and really love the location. I generally get one of the king rooms on the first floor and this is the first year I recall being able to tell that they had refreshed part of the room. Appears some new paint and some of the bathroom fixtures were upgraded. New flat screen tvs were added a few years ago. The king has a nice sitting area with a chair, sofa and desk by the door to the hotel hall and the bed is toward the back. In between, you have the bathroom, and a long bar with tons of drawers and cabinets, a microwave, fridge and the coffee maker. My two complaints have been and remain the mattress and the shower head. The king mattress had zero support, sloped in the middle and gave me a raging backache and very little sleep. I even spent part of the night on the sofa, but that wasn't overly comfortable at that point. Something needs to be done - this is crazy that year after year the mattress is still awful. As for the shower head, it may be hotel standard fare, but it is equally awful. No one should get soaked head to toe because the showerhead has no adjustments that really do anything. I may need to reconsider my stay in the future. Let's see what the staff has to say at the desk this morning.

    5
    « Wonderful Hotel »

The hotel was a fantastic place to stay. We stayed when the hotel was full and the staff was excellent. My wife and I agreed that Doug at the desk was very helpful and went out of his way to make the stay wonderful. We were able to catch a dinner in the hotel at their fine dining restaurant. The food was fantastic and the food manager Pam went out of her way to make the meal a pleasant event.

« Best Western Lawnfield, Mentor Ohio »

Love this quaint hotel. It's in a good location with lots of stores and restaurants near by. The staff goes above and beyond to make our stay always comfortable. The nice thing too is we have 2 dogs and they are a pet friendly hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The neighborhood surrounding this area is nice so we feel right at home taking our dogs for a walk. If we cannot stay with family when we visit, this is our next choice. We live in Illinois but come back to this area 4-5 times per year. Love this hotel.

    « Loved this hotel! »

This was a great little hotel! I loved the look and feel of it. The way it was decorated made it feel warm and comfortable. The rooms were clean and large with a sitting area, kitchenette, and bedroom area. We also received a free, hot breakfast. This is a great hotel and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again!

« Quaint Hotel with Helpful Staff »

This hotel is unique because it offers modern hotel conveniences (refrigerator, fitness center, wifi and a free hot breakfast), but with old fashioned décor that is appealing and warm. My experience would have been excellent had the walls been a bit thicker (loud neighbors) and if the cleaning staff had not been so loud in the hallways waking me up too early in the morning.

    4
« Nicely decorated, but slightly aging, would stay again »

This is a nicely decorated hotel. Our room however seemed to show some aging, the bed was not very comfortable. However the place was very clean and she staff were great. The room was large and had a separate sitting area. The location was good for our purposes. The breakfast was ample but some items had an odd taste. Overall I would stay again. We noticed that they were changing out some of the furniture perhaps suggesting an update is going on in the guest rooms.

    5
    « A Gem »

We went here for a Murder Mystery Dinner and spent the night. What a great time. The Hotel was very nice and comfortable. The detail of the old home was still intact. The room was very clean and smelled wonderful. The bed was comfortable and just the right firmness. We were greeted with caution tape and a Bates motel privacy note on the door of the room and a Faux bloody knife and rags in the bathroom, (Great Idea), in the bar our barmaid made the BEST whiskey Sours I've had in a long while, the Show was very interactive and fun. Great Job. I think we may do this again...$169 for the show, dinner and the nights lodging.

It is in an historical area with many decorations displayed. Very home like atmosphere with roomy king suites. The staff were all friendly and location central to restaurants and shopping if your here for pleasure.

« One of the nicest hotels in the world »

We have stayed in hotels around the world, including all over Europe, Japan, China, Africa, Australia and of course the U.S.. This hotel ranks right up there with the best of the best. We have been staying at this hotel for the past 12 years and will continue to do so. The rooms and service are excellent.

    « Just like home »

We enjoy staying here when we come to Mentor to visit family because everyone at the hotel treats us like family and are so helpful and friendly. We were here a week over Christmas and got a stocking full oh god dies Christmas Day. We even got hugs from some of the staff when we left. Rooms are very lovely, clean and good TV's. Did not try the restaurant but the complimentary breakfast was fine.

« Awesome place to stay »

The hotel was a beautiful old Victorian home that had been converted into a hotel. The owners of the property managed to keep a lot of the charm of the original home while adding a hotel to the back of the original home.Great staff, great lounge and Restaurant(SKYE). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Mentor, Ohio area.

As always our stay at the Lawnfield was outstanding. Always enjoy the beauty of the lobby and the attractiveness of the suites. We found the standard room a bit disappointing but the suite was great. As a matter of reference we probably wouldn't stay in a standard in that it was not comfortable for taking meals in the room or entertaining guest. Also lacked a microwave.

We stay at the Best Western PLUS Lawnfield Inn & Suites in Mentor every November for our Thanksgiving visit with family. It is a very warm and inviting environment. The staff is always extremely pleasant and accommodating. The hotel has a homey feel that is very easy going. Our room is always in excellent condition and is very comfortable. Definitely recommend. The only downside is a small one and its that the gym could use some updating and improvement on the equipment.

« Overnight in Historic town »

The historic hotel front had long caught my eye so when our plan to travel this year came up we booked a room, it is pet friendly. The room was light, large, and super clean. The restaurant on the property was 5 star and the hotel gave residents 10 % off a meal. For veterans day, they gave my veteran husband a $5. gift card to also use for dinner. our only negative was the limited area to walk our large Labrador Retriever.

    « Restaurant very good »

The room was dated and the bathtub only allowed for a shower, as the diverter was stuck. Restaurant was very good. Service was also very good and helpful. Very quiet and the room was large, beds comfortable.

« Comfortable, Friendly, Convenient for Pets »

This is the second time we stayed here, and we will do so again. They seem to keep a stable, cordial staff, and it looks more like a giant old home than a corporate, concrete hotel. On check in they gave us a treat bag for our dogs, which they enjoyed. The rooms are good sized, well appointed, with a medium size refrigerator which helps with travel, as we bring some perishable food for us and our pets. A bonus is that there is a very good restaurant on site that provides room service. Every employee I've met here is extremely friendly, from check in to the maid. The breakfast attendant was especially nice, talked about pet friendly parks and trails nearby, and showed me pictures! If you are near the Cleveland area, and don't want to stay right in the city, this is an excellent choice.

« Back again, another pleasant stay »

Our room as in the past was spacious, well appointed. Kept clean. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. The rooms in general are still dark, especially for an individual with visual impairment. If restful ambiance is the goal then maybe use 3 way bulbs that can allow better control of light levels. 5 night trip this time and breakfast becomes repetitive. I am sure we will be back as the positives far out weigh the few minor issues.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

Selected hotel because it was about the midway distance for my trip. The hotel accommodations and appointments are setup more like you're visiting a home. Very relaxed feeling, even in the lobby and was a very pleasant surprise. Very good breakfast, staff very pleasant. The hotel is close to Cleveland; not far off Rt. 90. I'll definitely stop here on future trips through this area.

« Very nice but expensive »

The hotel was very attractive and upper scale but cost over 160 dollars with the AAA discount. It was a very busy weekend which limited our options and we were unable to make a dining room reservation until after 8pm.

« One of my favorite places in the whole world. »

#HomeAwayFromHome I have been very remiss in not reviewing the Lawnfield until now! I started staying here in 2010 because Mentor is the halfway point on my drive between my home in Boston and my family home in MN--to which I always drive so I can take my black Lab, Woodrow. The Lawnfield is dog-friendly, which was my initial deciding factor. I swiftly and happily discovered dog-friendly is an understatement. Not only do the staff at the Lawnfield greet us with treats when we come in, they welcome us with cries of "Woodrow!" and "The George Clooney of Dogs!" and have made us feel so, so welcome as my boy--6 when we started coming here, 11 now--charged delightedly down the hall to his room. Even if you are not traveling with The George Clooney of Dogs, the Lawnfield is a splendid place to stay. It's immaculate. More than comfortable. There's an excellent restaurant on the premises--with room service. Wifi, real glass glasses, refrigerators in all the rooms. Charming touches like china soap dishes. Breakfast buffet. An exercise room that's welcoming enough that I use it even after a 600-mile drive. I can't say enough good things about the staff, comfort and loveliness of this place. One night I had a beer in the bar and happened to sit next to the owner; I felt privileged to tell him how much his hotel had come to mean to me, not only a guaranteed happy place during my twice-yearly trips but a safe and happy place in the world in general. * bonus (for me): easy driving distance to excellent Chinese food, Starbucks, Breugger's. And the I-90 drive through Cleveland next to the lake is beautiful. * Enjoy!

    « Quality as always. »

Rachel made check in smooth & quick. Room #303. Furnishing are two double comfortable beds-my back would have preferred a bit for firmness-with pillows & a log roll pillow. Night stand between beds. Eight drawer chest. Mini fridge with coffee maker, two glass glasses & two porcelain coffee cups on top of fridge. No micro , a micro is included in a king upgrade. There is micro in the breakfast preparation kitchen area that the front deck allowed me to use. A writing desk with leather swivel chair. Two wooden luggage racks. Carpet through complete room. Single corner comfort chair. Bathroom is shower/tub, with a safely handle at one end. Wall to wall sink counter. Plenty of towels. Single bottles of shampoo, body lotion & conditioner. Porcelain soap dish & tray for small towels, shampoo & lotion. Two glass drinking glasses. Hot water for shower in 14-15 seconds. The shower head is powerful, however there is an adjustment valve to soften the spray. The bathroom is a bit smaller compared to other B.W.'s The door opens into the room not leaving much space for the toilet. Also a hair dryer. The closet is covered with two sliding doors, each with a full length mirror. Closet has a wire metal rack with eight wooden hangers.. iron & board. A safe that I wasn't billed for. Overall room has plenty of space. Both room & bathroom very clean. Breakfast is located in the lower level, 6:30 to 9:00. Four dry cereals, waffle maker-makes four small waffles-oatmeal, bagels, toast, assorted sweet breads, mini blueberry muffins, orange/cranberry. Fresh apples & cut up fruit, bowl of granola. Steamers for scrambled eggs & bacon, with a bowl of salsa. Regular coffee & decaf. NO paper pates, porcelain plates & coffee cups, glass drinking glasses & real silverware. 'Ann' was Monday's staff member to keep breakfast item well stocked. Tuesday's staff member-who I didn't get- also did an excellent job of keeping ahead of all items. Ten tables with four chairs each. A wall mounted flat screen television for morning local news & weather. This is a three story facility, with a smooth operating elevator which will deliver a guest to the breakfast area. Outside the breakfast area is a lounge with two couches & comfort chairs. The lower level has a 24 hour fitness center. On the second level staircase is a small lounger with comfort chairs. The word for this facility is COMFORT. Each floor has soda, snack & ice machines. The windows unlock & slide up for fresh air. The A/C/heater unit worked well, not much noise with simple controls. The motel has an attached restaurant called 'Skye Bistro'. In the writing desk drawer is Skye's complete menu. Also is a number of restaurants & distance to the B.W.'s location. I can't say if there is a guest laundry. This B.W. is located about 100 ' from the intersection of R615 & Mentor Ave. From early morning to early night traffic will be heard. The television helps drown most of the noise. The television is a wall mounted flat screen with about 70 channels. The room's short coming is the lack of usable/spare electrical outlets. NOTE: The wall switch just outside the bathroom controls half the outlet under the desk & corner chair. Before plugging in a devise such as a c-phone or razor, make sure the outlet has full power. I plugged in razor, but no power. The hallways, the furniture, check in lobby, lower lounge & the wrap around porch give this facility a homey like feel. This motel is not the best I have stayed in, it's the most comfortable. Parking is mostly along one side and at the facility's rear. The spaces are ok for a medium width vehicle, however a full size pickup type vehicle will find the spaces a bit tight. I wouldn't hesitate to reserve a future room. Factors being: location-about 2 miles north of I-90- room's cleanliness, nearby restaurants-Burger Fi, walked to Don Tequila Bar & Grill(Mexican). drove to. Both to the east. Also the helpful & polite staff of Michelle, Jen, Rachel, Ann and the other unknown breakfast staff member. To the west is the James A. Garfield Nation Historic Site, only a 15 minute walk. To the east is a Wal-Mart Super Store.

« Great place for a small gathering »

I had a 60 year birthday party for my class this past weekend. The food, service and staff were excellent. The catering staff made my planning this party so easy. I would highly recommend this place for a small gathering like a shower or rehearsal dinner etc. My class and myself will be back. Laura C.
