Best Western Plus McKinney Inn & Suites

The Best Western Plus McKinney does not inform guest of the parking chart they have on sight and does not have their parking lot clearly marked therefore, if you park with your parking permit in the wrong slot your vehicle will be towed. This happened this past weekend and the clerk at the front while we were trying to figure out if the vehicle was stolen was extremely rude. The manager was contacted and other than to say it isn't his problem gave no assistance. I suggest staying at a different hotel.

This is one of the best BW around Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, because is new/renew, everything looks good, a mean top of the line, this hotel most be a reference for another location about how you do it... keep it up.

This is a nice Best Western conveniently located on I-35. Everything was clean and well maintained. Our king room was large and well appointed and clean. Everything worked well and we had no complaints.

Well managed property. Great variety of breakfast in the morning. Quiet safe rooms. Conveniently located from historical attractions and shopping. This is the third time I stayed at this location and will return again.

I enjoy my stay at the Best Western Plus in McKinney. There was ample and convenient parking. The staff was friendly and attentive. All areas of the hotel and room was clean and well maintained. The bed was as comfortable.

Good location, close to may great things in McKinney. Easy access to the interstate and downtown. Breakfast was good. Hot K cup coffee in your room was an awesome surprise. Was impressed that they had someone cleaning up the parking lot .

No need to look anywhere else, in the Mckinney area. this is a great place and we enjoyed staying here. Will visit again and will also look for the same hotel chain in the future, on our trip to Austin Texas and San Antonino, in the future. The room has everything you need for a night's stay or longer, clean room smells good, phone, shower and over all great relaxing hotel. , WILL VISIT AGAIN AND ALSO LOOK FOR THE SAME HOTEL CHAIN IN THE FUTURE.

This hotel is a great place to stay for all travelers. They can accommodate for multiple reasons of stay. If you have a family, there is a pool. If you're traveling alone, there is a jacuzzi. If you're traveling for work, there is a business center, and if you want to run off the complimentary breakfast, there is a gym. Overall, great experience.

Nicely located Hotel with good amenities nearby. Our family lives nearby so the location was great. Good breakfast bar well stocked. Good parking with security, very little hi way noise. A tv guide would have been helpful.

Overall a great stay. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Breakfast was very good. It was a hot breakfast with a great selection. There were many amenities like a pool and gym and even a business center for the guests to use.

My family and I travel all over the world and have never had such horrible customer service before. Our rental truck was towed due to the staff not following their own policy and procedures at check-in. The staff was supposed to inform the guest arriving that they cannot park across the street or they would be towed. There was also supposed to be a sign up, saying the same thing. When we checked in the gentleman never said anything about parking and the sign was not up. The second night of our stay was when our truck was towed. it cost us over $300 to get it out of the impound lot. I talk to the manager that morning and he was not helpful at all. He told me that it was not their responsibility that our truck was towed because of the sign that was now up. I explain to him that the sign was not up for the last two days and that the guy who checked us in never said anything about not parking over there. I also told this guy that when we came in after having dinner that night that there was no parking in their lot, due to several U-Haul trucks and utility trucks with trailers on them. I didn't ask the guy to help me call a taxi. His response was well everyone here. Just uses Uber. Well, where we are from in Idaho we do not have a Uber. I had to research and find my own taxi.

My wife and I stayed at Best Western Plus McKinney Inn & Suites for a wrestling tournament at a local high school. The room was nice, bed was comfortable and TV had lots of channel selections. Staff was friendly. Eggs were not served at breakfast and that was a disappointment. The wifi was not working so that was a little frustrating as well. Price for the night was very fair. Overall, 4.5 stars out of 5 would be my true rating.

Everything was okay here...no bad surprises...and no good ones either :) Great location. Breakfast was okay...the beds were a bit hard and stiff. The room was quiet so we were able to sleep okay. If you're looking for a decent place to stay that's on the cheaper side, this is a satisfactory choice.

We've stayed at this motel before without issues, but our most recent experience was poor. Mattress was so bad that the springs popped with every move. Water pressure was very low. Breakfast was worst ever experienced. Waffle iron and microwave were broken. The only eggs were hard boiled in the shell. Gravy was too watery to eat. Desk clerk locked our key cards (as well as another lady in our hall) while we were at breakfast. On the bright side. Our room and the premises in general were very clean.

Upon check-in, I was asked for a credit card, which at first I was confused by because I had prepaid for the reservation through a third party and instead of explaining that this is just for a standard hold the two staff members rolled their eyes and said "no you still need to pay" and then spoke to each other in a different language. I was then shown to two rooms that had boxes, extra bed frames, un-made beds, cleaning supplies, and other items strewn all over. Finally, I was assigned to a third room, which was fine but I had to take a few work calls in my room during my stay and there was what sounded like hammering and drilling on my floor that was very disturbing. Then, after checking out I noticed that I was charged $190 on top of the $250 I had already paid for my reservation, so I called to ask for clarification and was hung up on on both the hotel's phone and the main Best Western phone number. I ended up needing to contact my credit card provider to help dispute the charge and refund me for the incorrect, additional charges. Overall, I will not stay at a Best Western again.

If you like a clean, comfortable, fresh smelling room without springs coming through the mattress, unknown substances on bedding and furniture, moist bedding, broken doors and other items, stay somewhere else. Breakfast closes 8am on weekdays and 9am on weekends. Would not stay here again!

Pros: The lobby was inviting and clean. The breakfast was good Cons: The first room had a horrible smell when you opened the door, there was hair in the bathtub and one the bathroom floor. They moved us across the hall. There was a big rust stain behind the toilet, a stain on the chair, very dark, the lamp shade was broken (front was ok, 2 sides broken, back was missing), corners of the elevator not clean, and there was stain on the elevator floor.

Nice staff, clean room, and nice amenities. The breakfast was enjoyable and had a good selection. Pool was outside but the water was cool so it was a perfect time had by all. Close to many local stops.

Trash in hallways upon arrival still there on departure .. tVERY STRONG Marijuana odor ... opened our door to closet doors off the hinges ... the night stand had marks from somebody's drinks ... trying to be patient due to shortage of workers nowadays I took out my sanitizer wipes and cleaned the room moved closet doors so we could use the closet... ...we could hear our neighbors talking in their room ... later we find toilet was very bad had to stand there and hold down the lever a few times to flush ... we got to bed and around midnight the air conditioner starts making a noise like a fire alarm .... turned it off and back on ... 4am same thing .. Checking out I showed him video of the alarming noise and I asked for a refund... he told me I should have called them when noise started to switch rooms in the middle of the night!!! Same trash in hallway when leaving. Being a Platinum rewards member has always been a great benefit but not this time ... the very WORST Best Western I have EVER stayed at! Pool area was nice... Great window blackouts, close to restaurants/stores.

grate staff tiffiany, lanhya and kangela were vary helpful. the hotel was truly fantastic. the maid service was top of the line they were very warm and excepting. the breakfast was amazing jenny was vary sweet. I strongly recommend you to come swing by the marriott in mckinney tx im surrtton you will have a grate time.

Rooms dirty, unprofessional staff. The room was dirty, the walls had like grease all over, the restroom was dirty. I ask for extra clean towels and the older gentleman at the front gave me attitude and ask why I need it more.

-Pool was littered with garbage in the fences. Pool was clean and hot tub was Good. -Dining area was littered with napkins and food. -Alarm clock was sounding for 90 minutes in the room next to 316 until ai called front desk -Room was clean and shower well kept. Won't stay here again.

Has very nice big semi truck parking easy on and off interstate rooms are very clean and staff very friendly and helpful the room was very clean and the hot breakfast was very good it was a nice quiet place to sleep

Don't waste your money. Go somewhere else. Rude staff, amenities don't work, card keys don't work, workout machines don't work, hot tub doesn't work, TV remotes don't work, staff constantly leaves doors propped open endangering guests. Room and facilities are dirty.

Great place over all. There's plenty of restaurants nearby. We stayed here 2 nights. The only problem we had was the first night there were families there with children. The children were running up and down until after 10 pm and I'm assuming their parents were in the lobby being extremely loud until midnight. The lobby was a bit dirty the following morning but staff cleaned it up quickly.

We always stay in this Best Western when we are in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. And almost always stay in a king suite. When we pulled in Wednesday afternoon we saw the sign that said Now Open and Newly Renovated. We checked into our room and you could see walking to the room they had new carpet professionally installed. In the suite itself new carpet and new window dressings again that looked professional installed. But I think to save money they painted themselves. There was paint on the wing back chair and the desk chair. Along the door frame was overlaid paint. The plug socket near the bed didn't have a covering on it. And the bathtubs plug was lying on the side of the tub. Not sure why it wasn't in the drain. The water in the kitchen sink was a drizzle. I know with Covid things are thought right now so we will give this hotel another try when we go to Texas again.

Thank you for making our unexpected trip less stressful. Your location with perfect, easy access and convenient to our needs. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean, including everything else in the hotel.

We booked a suit for 2 nights, the room was badly lit but smelled clean at first. We dropped off out bags. We got back later that night and went straight to bed. Got up the next morning and opened the shades to light the room better and that's when we seen how dirty and broke down it was. Furnature stained and ripped up, tub dirty, mold on inside of windows, wholes in ceiling in room, wires hanging from hallway ceiling, refrigerator broken, lamp shade ripped. We checked out and booked with a better hotel for our second night as soon as we got dressed. I was charged over $200 for a dirty room.

Our first room: No faucet attached to the tub for turning on the water. There was a faucet laying on the tub rim, but I am not a mechanic. They did re-room us, the second room was okay, but not delightful. There were no extra blankets for cold bodied people like me. We asked at the desk, they had none either. The second morning we could not get hot water from any of the bathroom faucets even after running the water for at least five minutes. There was room service trash and there were brooms outside the doors of at least three rooms for the entire duration of our stay. We were there two nights. It appeared no one cared, and we were on the main floor where everyone used the hallway. Not a great impression maker. The "hot" breakfast was cold and greasy. They did have a microwave so we could re-heat the food, but that did not improve the flavor.

Diamond Select Member review: I wasn't offered my complimentary bottle of water at check in-no worries, I brought my own. When I asked if there were any upgrades available, the clerk didn't even check the computer before saying, "Sorry, we are booked." No worries-had enough space in the room I got. The hotel lobby was simple but clean. Smelled fresh and sanitized when we first walked in. Bonus points for sure. The room was the same. Simple. A bit outdated. Nothing fancy. But nice and clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but again, it was clean. I can live with that. Was given a room right next to the elevator and was going to ask to switch it due to the possible noise all night since the placed was "booked"..but didn't hear a thing. Breakfast was better than expected. I was thinking it was going to be grab and go but was pleasantly surprised to see a variety of hot and cold items available. The area of town is a little sketchy, but I expected that for the price we paid. Nice to have a Whataburger in the same parking lot. Did someone say..late night shakes? Also, the snack bar seemed to be well stocked but we didn't partake. Overall, the stay was good, and if I had to stay just one or two nights, I would do it again.

Toilet smelled, not working properly. Roach in dresser. Bag over smoke alarm. Furniture old. No WoW moment. Does not meet Best Western Plus expectations of the chain. No COVID breakfast i.e. individual

from chexk in to check out everything was quick, clean, great breakfast , all the staff were friendly, plenty of towels and the coffee pot was clean! Which is a plus and they don't mind when asked for more coffee

Our hotel was clean, welcoming and things that you may need while traveling are close by. Historic downtown being so close was also a bonus. We did encounter one small issue while we were there and the staff quickly and professionally rectified the situation. I am very grateful for their generosity during our stay.

This is a great hotel for families and business trips. It is close to the interstate and a short drive to downtown McKinney. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was very good with variety. The staff was helpful and friendly . I would definitely stay here again.

This BW Plus was a solid choice for our 4 nights in McKinney. Check in was efficient. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Property was recently renovated, evidenced by some paint on picture frames. Some attention to detail missed, such as the crookedly hung mirror firmly attached to the wall in the bedroom. Special kudos to the woman working in the breakfast area. She made sure each table was cleaned as guests departed and that all food items remained well stocked.

Although preregistered we had several different problems. Once we got to our room we had to go back to the front desk. He had written down the wrong room number. We were told three different times, from three different employees what time breakfast was served. The price was different then what we were told.

I always choose Best Western because of their hot breakfast but with Covid the adapted breakfast options have been horrible but at Easter time the Oklahoma Best Western was back to normal and was superb, than last month in Wylie it was awesome even with options like fruit or choc. Morsels to add to waffle batter and than last weekend in McKinney Texas it could not have been worse……cook used the excuse that it was first weekend of hot breakfast-the second morning she was bragging that the she had made the gravy for the biscuits and gravy so much thicker. (The two ladies she shared this info with sat near me and said you didn't like gravy either I said nope and it it definitely thicker and going to stick to my gut and the scrambled eggs tasted like she added sugar to them and to top off that-our toilet wouldn't flush or would flush 20 minutes later and construction crew in the lobby blocked off elevator for morning—-wish my knee wasn't faking up last weekend or that we were not on third floor! I will definitely called to talk to a person before booking next time and ask lots of questions!

1 Hr maybe of sleep from rough sex noises or something like that from next door all night. Went to complain without remedy. I thought maybe someone was being beat and asked front desk attendant to call police. I was told that it was probably sex noises so she refused to call the police. I should have known that my visit at this establishment was in trouble when I saw that the rm number was taped on the door and the tv screen wasn't completely viewable due to the busted screen. Nightmare visit. I checked out a day early and elected to lose the money and went to a different hotel for the next night with my daughter, her newborn and 2 toddler grandchildren.

We were one of the many that didn't have a place to stay during the recent winter storm that paralyzed Texas We booked a two night stay at the Best Western through Hotels.Com When we showed up to check in it was complete chaos. They had a water main break. So we were told that they were closed and that we needed to find another hotel. Understandably so. They refused to help us find another place even though we were already checked in (online) Hotols.com had already dinged our credit card. I called Hotels.com immediately for a refund and they said that they needed to contact the hotel. They couldn't get a hold of anyone. A week later they still can't. No one is answering. Every Best Western Hotel is independently owned. STAY AWAY from Best Western hotels. Their corporate offices are of no help. The hotels are free to do what they want it looks like this one has just taken our money and ran.

I would give the hotel a 5 but none of the staff wore face masks even though it is state mandated because of COVID. Whether they were walking in the hallway, behind the desk, or anywhere else in the hotel.

This property is in need of maintenance and repairs. Our room was clean but the rest of our experience was NOT acceptable. The bathroom had NO hot water. When I tried to call the front desk, I discovered the phone was not working. The bethroom vent was falling out of the ceiling, and the light fixture over the sink was busted and about to fall apart. It is clear to me this property has not been cared for in quite some time. Avoid this location.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The room always smells nice whenever I get to my room! Located near downtown so it is easy to access food and shopping. Little details could be better but overall a great affordable place to stay!!

The hotel is located next to I75 thus providing easy access to the Dallas metroplex and the surrounding Mckinney area. The parking lot was very large and well lit. The room was very clean and well maintained. Check-in and check-out went extremely smoothly.

When I entered the lobby to check in, I noticed two people sitting in chairs to my right, I stood at the desk for a minute, then rang the bell. One of those people, in direct line of sight and impossible not to have seen me, then stood up and walked over to help me, it turned out the the man sitting with her was a maintenance employee. Neither of them wore masks. The woman working the desk on the evening shift did not wear a mask, it was appalling. My stay at this hotel was on the day Texas exceeded one million Covid cases. Their indifference to the health of their guests was stunning, nobody should stay here until the pandemic is over if this is the kind of behavior they exhibit,

There were a few problems with the ac in rooms, but the front desk very quickly changed our rooms and had the other fixed immediately! Very friendly employees! Great location that is convenient to shopping and dining!

Great location, comfortable, clean and attentive personnel. I had everything I needed. Close to town and everything that I needed was in the area good price point. Roomy rooms. You can walk to certain places from the hotel as well if you needed to.

We requested to change rooms two times. The first room had someone's glass water bottle on the dresser, leftover food box in the refrigerator, ice bucket in bathroom with water in it, no spare roll of toilet paper and MOLD and bugs on the inside of the window. The second room had no air conditioning. The third room was okay. The lobby furniture seemed dirty and the elevator floor was very dirty (we asked the guy to mop it when he was mopping the lobby). The employees were friendly and accommodating.

The stay was great I was pulling a trailer and they had plenty of parking. I went to sleep early in the afternoon around 6pm was leaving around 1 am. It was very quiet place. The front desk services was excellent

hotel was average seemed a little outdated and when arrived loud music party going on and receptionist was on cell phone had to wait we were 30 minutes early and she would not check us in even though the parking lot was empty. may not stay there again. Too exspensive for hotel quality

Nice, clean hotel. Just what we expected and nothing disappointed. Rooms were clean and up to date. Bedding was super; we slept very well. Convenient location - on the Hwy 75 corridor and a 5 minute drive to historic downtown McKinney. Highly recommend!

My stay was beyond amazing great staff hotel very close to everything dinning shopping or whatever you need recommended this hotel to anyone will stay again at this property breakfast was great hotel was very clean.

If you are a business and are looking to book a hotel for your employees...stay away. Over the course of 6 weeks EVERY week we had a new issue. I would call and confirm the reservations were set for my employees, they would confirm, but yet I would get a call every week with some sort of issue as to why the room was not booked. They also charged the wrong credit card 3 weeks in a row even though they had a credit card authorization on file. One instance they had my employee check out just so he could check back in a 3 PM because they failed to realize HIS room was extended and he was the one checking back in.

Clean and fresh, beds a little hard, great well trained employees. We joined rewards program and were very happy with our stay. We have been using Holiday inn, we arnt going to stop HI but we will definitely be using BW also.

Older property but clean, comfortable and excellent staff. Responded to requests immediately and with a smile. Would have like newer bed and a few more toiletries, but overall we would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. We had a good stay-stayed two nights. Breakfast was a normal continental breakfast but it worked. We would stay here again. Close proximity to downtown McKinney.

Sometimes a good staff can not make up for the cheapness of management. This hotel has at least one desk clerk who is wonderful. But the hotel management showed too many signs of being cheap. The juice machine spewed water rather than orange juice. The coffee was an instant coffee machine. The business center had two computers but no printers. The signage for this hotel is lacking. Quite often callers are told that it's behind the Whataburger. And when I asked a member of management why there were no boiled eggs, he told me I could eat something else. This hotel does not measure up to the other Best Westerns that we have stayed at during this trip.

All Good except for breakfast and breakfast area....small and breakfast venue lacking the usual fair that we find at Best Western. Property and personnel tops. Good recommendations on restaurants. Location easy to spot but hard to enter and exit to the highway.

We spent one night here for a gymnastics event that took place 20 minutes away in Frisco, TX. The hotels in Frisco/Plano were insanely expensive so we were glad to find this rate within an easy 20 minute drive to the venue. Pros: Night clerk very nice and welcoming with our late arrival of 9 pm. And we lost a toothbrush but able to get a complimentary one. Morning clerk nice also. Room clean. Far enough away to not hear freeway noise loudly in our room. Able to have a late check out at noon without an additional charge, which was nice. The only problem was that our late check out somehow missed being noticed or communicated to the front desk staff and housekeeping because we had several knocks on the door at 10:30 and 11:00 for housekeeping. When I called downstairs to remind them of late check out, we still had knocks on the door wanting to clean the room before 12:00. Also, at 11:00, our key quit working in the door, even though we were still going to be there for another hour. I made another trip down to the desk to ask about that and they mentioned that it happens automatically and you have to get your key recoded if you stay late that extra hour. I had not been told that the many times I talked to the desk about late check out. Cons: Very thin walls. Could hear tv next door playing until 11:00 or 12 pm. Could hear normal level conversation talking next door. My daughter slept with earbuds in to drown out low pitch noise from tv next door. I was told I could purchase ear plugs downstairs for $5 (might want to offer them for free since the walls are thin). The main problem was the noise that travels through the adjoining doors that are locked between rooms. It would have been fine if we had gotten both rooms for our large family, but this trip it was just my daughter and I and I felt like we had roommates in the other room because we could hear every word they spoke in normal voices and could hear the tv late at night while we were trying to sleep to get her ready for her competition the next day. By 7:20 AM, we could hear multiple people in hallway talking, and the doors slamming. So, we woke up early. A/c a bit loud when turning on in the night, but worked well for cooking the room. Toilet very loud when flushed. Made a high-pitched screeching noise when flushed and a roaring noise afterward. Would definitely wake people in the same room up with flushing in the night. Needs looked at for noise, and water seems to be constantly running in the bowl.

This was the ONLY hotel that would let me book two rooms that adjoined. Hurray to them!! No other hotel in the area would guarantee adjoining rooms, and we had a special needs little girl that we needed adjoining rooms. Hotel was older than 10 years old, but had been updated. Clean and professional staff. Pool needed some shade and tables though.

Great place, warm front desk,nice employees, security is awesome, good location, guest room carpet is not welcoming, I had a restless night because the pillows are bad. Guest internet not secured.I wish they could improve the ambient of the guest room

I have stayed at this Best Western 2 years in a row and I love this hotel, the staff are very helpful housekeeping was great! Breakfast was delicious! I asked to be placed close to my daughters room and they were great about putting us right next to each other, they accommodated my whole family in one corner of the hotel which made it easy to visit each other. This will definetly be my go to hotel!

This is an older property but it still has a freshness to it, is clean, and very comfortable. The bed was fine, the television big-screen, and plenty of access points for charging electronics. The bathroom was immaculate, although the toilet seat was a little loose (notified the front desk. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was solid with a lot of choices. Finally, the internet was acceptable but not super fast. The rate was good for the area and I would not hesitate to return in the future.

Average motel. Guest bathrooms need updating as they appear worn. Breakfast was good. No replenishment of room incidentals shampoo, etc (very small bottles for 2 guests for 2 nights. On check out I was asked if everything was OK and I reported incidental shortages and the reply was I should have called. Not my job. I payed for the room which should have included incidentals. The stairway carpeting was soiled and worn looking.

All was good. Service was good, somehow they had me down for 2 nights instead of 1 and the lady working the front desk was super helpful on that note. The stay itself was great. The parking lot is not secure at all. It is open to other businesses parking lots and is a thoroughfare for people walking to and from the nearby apartments. Most are fine, but there were several colorful characters on less than legal substances loitering when we arrived.

My wife had recent hip surgery. We live in an RV and she could not get up the stairs immediately. Hotel provided handicapped room with walk in shower. Good hot breakfast every morning close to the room. Exercise room for me also close. Reasonable rates.

Our room was never cleaned following our second night stay. We had to ask the front desk for fresh towels and she agreed to empty the trash. We made our own bed. Our bathroom was not cleaned. The bathroom sink dripped a steady stream all three days. A "service" cat was running loose on the second floor two days. No trays were provided for the in room coffee maker.

For the price I paid I think was very good breakfast was good also and the wifi worked great. Bed was comfortable iron worked great. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anybody needing a place to stay.

Our room was more than we expected. Clean and spacious. Breakfast area was clean and well kept. Counter help was very helpful. We only have one suggestion that would improve our stay.....Please get better coffee!

Staff accommodating not particularly friendly. Room was clean and worked for us. Television not fully set up with parameters, limited choices, difficult to find programs. Had a book to pass a few hours. Breakfast ok. Near area we wanted to visit.

I have never stayed in a cleaner and friendly staffed hotel in this price range. Cindy Reed, Leticia, and Aretha have taken great care of me without hesitation for the last 4 months. Never had a bad stay with so many other businesses convenient within a mile makes for a great stay.

Staff was very nice from cleaning, maintenance, kitchen and front desk. Television was not working the night we arrived. The next morning maintenance said it must be the weather—no rain, cloudy. Hmmmm. That evening couldn't even get tv to turn on, requested batteries, waited 30 minutes and no one brought batteries. The next morning mentioned to front desk and batteries were replaced in our remote- while we had a do not disturb sign on our door! Our room seemed to leave items somewhat damp, not cool to the touch like a cold room would leave but damp. Our AC ran day/night. Toilet base was not secure to floor. Sit on it and it would rock. Water was hot, beds firm but okay, lights and door locks work. I bring my own pillow. The pool, while for hotel guests only, is not blocked to prevent non guests from using. Was not comfortable using for this reason. Breakfast is 6-930. I went down at 9 and requested more eggs be placed on buffet. Only to be told they are out and can't make anymore of either the round or scrambled variety. How does a hotel that serves breakfast every day of the week run out of a staple like eggs! Hot coffee available throughout the day in dining area. I would book elsewhere in thenfuture.

Had a voucher for BW in McKinney. Used it on a recent business visit. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was minimal. Facility had good parking and was quiet. Nearby the historical downtown area of McKinney. Access on/off the Central Expressway was easy.

I really enjoyed the room and the staff, as well as the food and will do it again soon. every staff was outstanding and i enjoyed them all...good location, the service I experienced was outstanding. and the amenities was outstanding, I like everything about this hotel. there's nothing least I didn't like.Outstanding overall

Asked for a ground floor room ended up on 3 floor! Shirt left in closet and lotion by bed! Room clean except for that!went to get breakfast at 7 and there was one sausage no eggs and syrup was empty! The guy at front desk said he made it once and wasn't doing it again! I've always stayed at best western's when I travel butt now rethinking that especially for 124 a night!!!

This hotel exceeded expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds at nice and comfortable. The breakfast we had the 2 days we stayed was really good, not just the normal waffle and cereal.

One of the most unpleasant stays I've had. I was greeted at the reception desk with "What do you want?" I'll be generous and just say this is a somewhat unconventional greeting at a hotel reception desk. After so graciously given the hotel room key, upon opening the door there was a rather odd odor which I realized was sewer gas. I did find the source as the toilet was leaking water and presumably the sewer gas from the rear floor mounting of the toilet. Nothing could be better than to see small amounts of flushed toilet water upwelling from around the rear of the toilet. The hotel is in a residential area with the only restaurant within walking distance a Whataburger. The bed was fine and the easy access to the highway out of McKinney was appreciated.

booked through hotels.com, also NEVER again, asked to upgrade to suite, was told hotel booked solid but would send a roll away bed 20.00 extra per night,,roll away arrived, URINE soaked, had to ask for bedding, was given 3 fitted sheets (?), trash found in drawer, bathroom door would not shut as door frame is messed up, had to pay in advance for "special pricing" through hotels.com, amounted to 122.00 per night PLUS 20.00 for roll away = 142.00 per night, second day, keys not working on door went down had all 3 keys reconfigured, two hours later a knock on the door asking if I'm sure I paid for TWO nights!!! I said yes, I'm sure, then I get a PHONE CALL from DAVID informing me I am wrong who did I book through? I said hotels.com David informed me I needed to take up the issue (?) with them, I pulled up my confirmation email and called Mr. David letting him know I had it at which time he tells me the mistake wad THEIRS!!! They had "misplaced " our second night reservation!!! No towels for pool use, freezer in frig iced over, one Kleenex left in box, very plainly decorated room, floor is more comfortable to sleep on than these beds, pillows were just as bad, I truly appreciate the reviewers that were honest about these things, it makes me wonder who honestly left all the positive reviews?? There are far far too many hotels nearby to EVER waste your time and money on this!! We passed on "free" breakfast, looked unappetizing, unappealing, same old stuff. I will be contacting Best Western as well, I will never know what on earth qualifies this as a "Best Western Plus"??? One more thing, due to our booking through hotels.com, we would not get a refund for EITHER NIGHT, so yeah, my mistake, will NEVER use them again, nor this place!!! Oh!! I almost forgot, AND the hotel put a 25.00 hold on our card for "incidentals" PER NIGHT!! Not even COLD WATER in the VENDING MACHINE!! UGGGG!!!!

Great hotel and staff. Very clean. Easy to check in. Front desk is awesome. The breakfast was really good, they had a variety of options, great taste. The room was very comfortable and clean. Very quiet area.

There were a couple of minor things that didn't work for me, but overall a good stay. The chain was quick and easy. Hotel was nicely decorated and clean. The eggs weren't great at breakfast, but overall good.

Clean large room. Smelt clean. Breakfast was nice with a variety of sausage or bacon. Very little parking close to the hotel. When the hotels busy you are stuck parking far away which is not a safe feeling. Great room and price.

This is my second stay here. First time I booked two queen bed and the room had two full size beds. I didn't eat breakfast the first time. I did this last time. It was okay. Had to ask for more towels.

This the second stay at this property for my husband and I. My son now lives here and this is a good location. It is a simple drive in the historic downtown McKinney. It is right off he 75 north. The property is well cared for and maintained. Clean décor, easy to live with(this stay was five nights). Takes a little understanding with the tv, but we figured it out. Nice pool and hot tub. The step down into the tub is deep so hold on to the rail. Has laundry that is 75 cents for wash and 1.00 for dry. There is a nice little strip center right next door with a CVS, Big Lots and Tuesday Morning. The single king is quite spacious. Since almost all rooms are set up size wise to handle two queens, single bed rooms seem huge.

Stayed here for 3 days. Was hesitant when arriving as they were obviously doing some remodeling. Much to my surprise, we didn't hear anything and the workers were very professional. The front desk lady was extremely courteous and constantly apologized for the mess. The bed was extremely comfortable. Rooms were very well kept. Will stay here every time we come back to visit kids!

This was my second stay at this particular hotel. Chances are that if I'm in McKinney, TX again I would certainly stay here again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was good. The price for the room was very reasonable, something I could afford.

When I checked in and went to my room I heard two dogs barking in the room across from the room they assigned me. I immediately went back to get another room; I knew I would not be able to sleep with dogs barking. The front staff was very nice and professional explained it was a service dog (although there were two distinct bark types) and assigned me another room. This room had a horrendous odor but I was apprehensive to ask for another room so I just stayed there hoping the window opened. Unfortunately it did not. I went to Walmart and bought a scented wax warmer. The room ventilation was very poor and very stuffy. The blow dryer plug was smashed and to ask for another blow dryer. Luckily that arrived within 5 minutes. I would highly recommend another hotel if you are staying in McKinney.

Asked the receptionist for a wake up call at 8:15 am and he was very rude. He looked tired. And I called the front desk phone 3 times prior and no one answered. If you don't want to serve guests then get out of the service industry. Beds and rooms were clean. Breakfast was like every other hotel chain. Nothing special and hot.

Terrible experience at this hotel. The room didnt have any soap or towels on the first night. They then stated that they didnt have any large towels and offered a hand towel to dry after shower. Second room had urine all over the sheets and was a mess. Third room was dirty too. Wont be staying there again.

The front desk let us check in early and was very nice..Our room was spacious and clean.The water was hot in the shower.. Had 0 issues with the wi-fi..Their breakfast while small was very delicious...keep up the great work!

Everything went as planned as smooth as planned. There is a What-A-Burger right in front of the hotel which is very convenient considering it is my to-go. The staff was incredible and I would definitely come back.

The hotel and staff were fantastic and accommodating, my entire week stay here, I never felt I was away from home! The best part was the what-a-burger that was directly across from this hotel. It has always been my to-go place, so it was convenient having it there.

Gave me 2 full size beds when I made reservations for 2 queen. Didn't notice until I was all settled in. Shower head could use a cleaning and tub drainage area was dirty. But overall hotel is nice. Nice quiet area. Friendly staff.

Visiting McKinney for a wedding and stayed at this hotel. 1st impression was not positive. We tried to check in a little early and was told it would cost another night stay. For 2 hours...seriously? The front dest young lady was not exactly nice either. I paid for a "queen suite" and it was a complete disappointment. The only reason it's a suite is because they remove the chairs and put in a cruddy "sleeper" couch that's so badly sprung that you almost sink to the floor when you sit in it. Forget sleeping in it! Someone stuck old extra cushions (?) under the couch cushions in an effort to save it, but the result was that it was just lumpier and more uncomfortable. There is no division of space either. It's all one room with one tv. You can't watch tv without bothering the people sleeping in the beds either since the tv is directly in front of the beds. I figured out why the front desk lady didn't want to give us a room. The rooms are cleaned VERY late in the day. Ours was never cleaned at all. We went to the historic district and shopping. When we returned (after 2pm) the room hadn't been touched. The cleaning lady came by after 3pm and offered but we were already getting dressed to go to the wedding. She didn't come back to even throw out trash or change towels. There is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Our room was quiet, so that was nice but there were very few tenants at the hotel during our stay. Breakfast was pretty standard with the usual items. The other reviewers are correct. The beds are hard. Overall, if you're just there overnight to sleep, it's ok. If you're there for several days like us, not so great.

Comfortable and convenient to get to. It is definitely a place I would stay in again. Making a last minute to spend the night and being able to get a room was great. Leaving the next morning was easy because the motel was right off Highway 75.

Three staf are wonderful at this hotel. Decent breakfast-eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits/gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal. Room was great space for guest using a power wheelchair for mobility. Great value!!!

The staff at both check in and check out were friendly and efficient. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was a nice breakfast area, but we didn't eat the food to be able to judge the quality. There were several quick food options around the hotel, and the McKinney square isn't far. The only thing that would keep us from returning is the bed. Very uncomfortable. If you like a firm mattress, you'll be ok.

We stayed here for a wedding 40 miles away. The place is clean and the room was huge. Super comfortable bed and cold air conditioner. Bathroom was great. Shower head needs a little updating but other than that see are super happy.

Our stay at the Best Western Plus was fine. The room was clean and seemed fairly large. The only concern was with the lighting, particularly in the bathroom. The lights were too dim. Breakfast was decent, but not as good as another Best Western Plus where we had stayed a few days earlier. No problem with noise at all.

The toilet in the room ran constantly and The The hotel looked very nice. The first thing we noticed was the parking lot was a little small. The room did have a hole in the closet from where the shower on the other side of the wall was repaired and they discounted the room for that. There was a humming noise in the walls. It was very hard to sleep. When I reported it to the front desk it seemed they didn't care, I just got an ok.

The best part were the comfortable beds. Next the breakfast. Wish it could have been available longer, but I got up and got the food to take back to the room for the kids. We did not use the other amenities.

There was food in the room. I could not lock my bathroom door the knob was broken..It was very noisy people running in the hallways. My tub would not stop up. So showers only. The staff wasn't that friendly and not helpful. I was charged an extra night due to a cash payment. I was not

Work is being done at the hotel, which will wake you up in the morning too early. On top of that the neighbors were blasting the TV until 230am. If you want to party, then this is the place to stay! They will not kick anyone out so come on over and piss off all your neighbors and have a great time because they are horrible at confrontations.

Stayed here several nights during a soccer competition in the area. Had to take several showers multiple people thru out the day, They gave us clean towels each time. Room was in excellent condition. New area are being renovated during our stay, Very modern hotel with all the nice ameneties in place. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The checkout desk manager was very helpful and friendly. The parking area is very clean and secure. Had a very nice will return for sure if in the area.

The staff was friendly, breakfast was more than we could ask for, beds were comfy, room was clean, internet was fast, and a whataburger right across the street. The front desk manager was very accommodating and told me everything he knew about the town. I will be visiting again.

The room and bathroom was very clean as was the outside and the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The desk employees informed us of several places to eat including the down town McKinney area where we had a wonderful time. The complimentary breakfast area was clean and pleasantly decorated. The breakfast had a variety of choices. The serving area was clean.

we stayed one night before going back to Tulsa. Friendly staff, nice hotel. next to the busiest Whataburger store I have ever seen. The only bad part is that you can't see the hotel sign from the highway very well and we missed the exit the first time. There was not a BW logo on the interstate sign. We had a good hot breakfast {free} the next morning and visited the beautiful Downtown McKinney Historical District.

The room was nicely appointed. My stepsons really liked the comfort and the updated room. However, the breakfast wasn't appetizing at all. The eggs were the powdered eggs, not freshly made. The other breakfast items were not good at all and indicative of other Best Westerns in the United States.

We've stayed at this hotel twice while visiting family. The rooms are big and clean. Staff was nice and the price was affordable. CVS is within walking distance and HWY 75 is super easy to access. The only down side is that breakfast closes exactly at 9am even on weekends, but was good if you made it down before then!

We stayed one night to attend a family function the next day; the location was convenient, the room was perfect and accessible, and the staff was amazing. My son unfortunately got sick in the middle of the night and we had to call the 24-hour front desk for assistance several times in the middle of the night and early morning; each time they were beyond helpful and responsive immediately. No one wants to experience illness when you are far from home, but thankfully we were at this hotel :-/. We will definitely be staying again and hopefully the family will all stay healthy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the breakfast wasn't great (with the exception of the Texas shaped Belgian waffles, which the boys loved) and the bedding needs an update. Neither of those issues are deal-breakers by any means, so don't let that stop you from booking a room.

Returning home to Michigan from southern Texas via I-75, we stayed at the Best Western Plus in McKinney., Texas. The hotel is easily accessed from the expressway, our room was very large and the whole facility is immaculate. Desk clerk was accommodating and personable. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the room was quiet. Since we stayed free via a rewards program I can't comment on the value. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for only a few hours to get some shut eye traveling from San Antonio to Iowa. Got in around 11pm service was nice but the bathroom was covered in water. No big deal I cleaned it up but in the morning it was covered in water again. Must be a leak in the toilet seal. The bed was not as comfy as the previous best western we stayed at. I guess just expected a little bit more since it was a plus.however the staff was very apologetic and ready to help us but at that point we were already leaving.

Overall we had a nice stay at this hotel. But, be warned, housekeeping will knock on your door at 8 AM!! The first night there we forgot to put out the "do not disturb sign" and regretted it. Others in our party (in different rooms) were also awoken at an early hour by housekeeping every day. This hotel seems to stop breakfast earlier than others too - 9am. While this was a nice hotel we would have liked to have slept in more!

Best Western Plus is a great hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great and included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and an assortment of pastries. The front desk staff was great. There is a Whataburger right there. If I ever have a reason to be in McKinney overnight, I will stay there for sure. It was easy to hook up to the internet.

The stay was just fine. We stayed three nights and experienced no issues. The room was clean, though the beds can use a little updates. New ownership, so I believe they will begin to make renovations soon .

Check in was a hassle. Room not cleaned or beds made when we came back the first night. Breakfast the first morning was less then good. Food stuck to containers, out of many items, tables left dirty so no place to sit until you cleaned it yourself. Just found out a new owner took it over so hopefully it is brought up to better standards. We have stayed here before and never had any problems.

This hotel seems a bit old and run down. Lighting in the room was poor. The bedding and towels were dingy looking in color. Pillows and bed were very uncomfortable. No couch to sit on only 1 chair for a family of 4 spent most of stay sitting on bed. I believe the room was over priced I am sure I could have gotten better elsewhere for less, but it was closest to where we were going.

The check in was smooth and easy the front desk was very friendly. The room was clean and everything was well taken care of. In the morning when asking about directions for driving through the cities, they were very friendly and were able to anser the questions.

This hotel was clean and staffed by a team of professionals. The location was easy to get to from either main or local roads with shopping and food establishments within walking distance. The room was well stocked and comfortable with free wifi and lots of TV options.

Some of my family and I had flown in to attend another family member's wedding. Even though we had family living in the area, we got a hotel and invited them to stay with us. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was better than some we've had at other hotels. It was a nice place to congregate and reminesce!

This is a great location. Close to Allen Outlet Mall, and near Downtown Mckinney. Right off of interstate 75. Near a lot of restaurants. Hotel was clean and rooms were very comfortable. The have a free all you can eat breakfast.

Stayed 5 nights first week and 3 nights second week. A co-worker booked the hotel. First 5 nights, coffee was never left for next morning. By the third day, I was able to stop by the desk and pick some up. Brought leftovers to eat and work in the room. Second night, getting back to room. refrigerator quit and spoiled my food. Second week, TV did not work, WIFI was spotty at best, had to use my "hotspot" to get emails. Many families living in the hotel, kids running around, breakfast was an adventure trying to get past the regular kids who filled 3 plates each, just to take a few bites and trash.

We had reserved a suite and arrived on September 12 for a 3 night stay. Our first indication that this hotel has quality issues were all the rag-tag men sitting around the front of the hotel drinking and puffing away on cigarettes. It made my wife extremely uncomfortable as they ogled her when we walked past. The gentleman at the front desk was great and extremely helpful. We were checked in and proceeded to our room. When we walked in we discovered furniture that was broken and neither of the television sets worked. There were also stains on the bathroom wall that looked suspiciously like blood. I walked down to the front desk, told the clerk, and he immediately gave us another suite. We proceeded to walk down to the new suite. We went into the room and discovered that the AC unit did not work in the bedroom. It was well over 85 sweltering degrees in there. Not acceptable. Again I walked back to the front desk, told the clerk, and we decided that we would go back to the first suite and he'd switch out the broken furniture and try to get the televisions working. He was able to get one television working by switching out the remote, and promised that the other TV would be replaced the next day and housekeeping would be notified of the cleanliness issues. The next morning we checked with the lady at the front desk who assured us that the issues would be taken care of that day while we were out. When we returned that evening, absolutely none of the problems had been taken care of. Still no working television, and cleanliness issues in the bathroom were still there. When I asked the front desk clerk (a different lady), she advised us that it should have been taken care of (it wasn't). When I asked about the cleanliness issues in the bathroom she said that it was normal for there to be issues in the bathroom, and as a female she understood why there were blood stains on the wall. What? Seriously? I also noticed that the breakfast area is getting extremely shabby-veneer is peeling from the counters, cupboard doors and drawers are broken and hanging askew. I also noticed that the fire extinguisher in the third floor hallway is out of date for its annual inspection. There is peeling wallpaper in the hallway and the shards of glass on the floor between rooms 310 and 312 that were there our entire stay, even though housekeeping had their cart sitting right next to it. The peeling wallpaper would have taken half an hour to fix (seam adhesive and a roller) and the glass simply should have been seen and picked up by housekeeping. The out-of-date fire extinguisher inspection tell me that management really doesn't care about guest safety. We decided to leave a day early because of the issues with this hotel. While we've always had great service from Best Western hotels, this one falls far short of a quality guest experience.

We had a nice stay. The staff was very friendly. The room rate was modest. The rooms was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the pool. I just wish all of the hotels would get rid of the little pillows. I know they are fashionable, but they are not comfortable. Typical Best Western breakfast. But the lady in the breakfast area was exceptionally nice.

The hotel itself is clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is lacking - typical hotel waffles and cereal. They did have some kind of biscuits (friend say they were gross) and gravy. We ended up going out for breakfast the next day. It is convenient to downtown McKinney and right off the highway. The beds are hard as rocks. Even though it's better than some area hotels; I'd probably try someplace different next time.

I stayed here for a girls weekend getaway and I can say I did have great interaction with the staff. They do need to replace the pillows, they are old and worn out. They are so bad they have to tuck part of the pillow case into its self because of the condition. FYI - if in a car bring your own pillow. The breakfast - personally, I am not a fan of these "free" breakfast buffets - so I might mot be a good judge. I did not care for the cheese wiz omelette but the sausage was OK. My friend isn't too picky and she thought it was OK since it was free. If I was there another night I would have gone somewhere and paid for a good meal. Again I'm not usually a fan and this may be your thing.

Great place to stay for price and value, easy to find right off highway. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance . Very quiet rooms, very clean, very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice pool. The only con is that they need to get new linens and towels. A little worn and tired looking.

I had a great time at this hotel, it was very clean and the staff was wonderful. The only issues were that the bed was quite uncomfortable and my key card stopped working on both nights I stayed. Luckily the staff was very, concise and wonderful about helping out.

Best Western Plus is a good value. The lobby was very nice and clean. The friendly staff makes a great impression. The room was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast had great choices.

This hotel SUCKS Badly and they have the worst customer service from the initial check in to the check out. I paid for this stay using a third party company and my bill was already paid for before getting to the hotel. The front desk Dawn informed me of only a $25 incidental charge and nothing else before handing her my debit card. Next thing I know, $89 was being charged, and had questioned her about the transaction. She stated that the charge was for the hotel stay after telling her I have already paid for the hotel when I booked it. She argued about it and in the process was YELLING at me about not being able to do anything about it cause the computer automatically charges it. I asked her to call the manager and have her reverse it and credit me my stay via Priceline cause I do not like the way I am being disrespected. After lying that her manager Cindy turns her phone off at midnight, I told her it was only 23:45 and she changes the time to 23:00. She said that no one higher than her can be called to fix the problem, she was new, and was not trained on how to work the computer. She even stated there's been worst life threatening scenarios and was not able to call anyone at that time. I told her we just got back from the airport and I would rather trudge through the two hour drive home then stay in a place as disorganized and rude as this BW. This location should be called BuTT WiPES for the nerve of a night auditor to yell and argue with a customer who was trying to find a solution to something than wait in the morning till someone would be available. She guaranteed me if I was to go home that she can have the manager Cindy reverse the charges she made and even approve Priceline to cancel the reservation. I knew better what bull crap that would be cause I was not about to risk falling asleep at the wheel to drive home to just waste the money I've spent and not get a refund for anything. When I called Priceline in the morning to see what they manager had decided, they denied the cancelation, and that no apologies or attempt to talk to me directly. The hotel looks decent from the outside and pictures but I should have known that no BW would have any standards or actual decent amenities, breakfast, or accommodation. Their towels had stains, beds were very uncomfortably, breakfast was a joke, those Texas Waffles are non existent, toilet would not flush, and there are no hospitality in the front desk and manager. Anyone wants to do a class action law suit, hit me up, and we will force these idiots to get their acts together.

Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff. Great hot breakfast. The lady in the breakfast area was so nice,she seem to be very happy with her job. The only things that kept me from rating it a 5 was the beds were a Little hard for my taste, and Even though it was right on the hwy. it was hard to get to it. Price was good. We had 3 adults and 2 kids. Had lots of room. If ever I'm in that area again I will stay there again.

Our initial King bed room reeked with cigarette odor. The girl at the front desk was very nice. Not only did she apologize for the bad odor, she was very helpful in getting us another room. Since we are also Platinum members with BW we were upgraded to a suite. Overall our stay was very enjoyable.

We arrived on Thursday 7/14/16 to find the A/C not working in half of our "Suite." Maintenance swapped it out for another one, which was appreciated. I'm pretty sure they just took it from another room, as my nieces arrived the following day to find their A/C not working and you could tell that the one in their room had just been put in, as the cord was out in front of the unit. Their A/C in half their suite was NEVER repaired for their 3 night stay, but part of the suite did have air. Several other people we spoke to were also without A/C and no maintenance people showed up all weekend to fix it. In our "Suite" I was to stay on a hide a bed couch. I pulled it out and it was ripped and had a huge stain on it. The photos I took are cringe worthy. I went to the desk to ask for bedding, a mattress pad or something and was told they were out. I was given 2 sheets. So I slept on the couch folded up which was not comfortable at all. The next day they provided me a roll away bed which required a pillow under one side of the mattress to make it level enough to sleep on. This I paid 149.99 per night for. We called other hotels to try and get out of there, they were all booked up so we were stuck. As far as the cleanliness goes, lobby and breakfast area were clean, but stairway railings were covered in dust and carpets needed shampooed. Calls to the owner by other family staying there went unanswered. Would I recommend to a friend, no.

NO AIR CONDITIONING! Go somewhere else!! The owner is a complete jerk and threatened to call the police on us because we want the AC fixed. He told his manager "why won't they just leave?" We would love to but there is nowhere else to go!!! This has been and continues to be the WORST hotel experience I've ever had!! We paid for a king suite with a pull out bed because we have two babies that need separate rooms. When we arrived, our room felt like a sauna. Neither AC unit was working and the two cribs we had called and reserved (one reason we chose this hotel) were nowhere to be found. Night staff eventually (2 hours later) let us move to a different suite but failed to mention that there was no pull out bed. So with no cribs and no pull out bed, we now have 4 people in a room with one bed when we paid extra specifically for the suite. But wait... It gets better!! One of the 2 AC units in our new room is broken, so we are still sweating. We can't close the bedroom door (and separate the babies) because there's no AC in the living room. It's been 48 hours and the "maintenance" that would supposedly be here "first thing in the morning" has yet to show up. They're "having problems with him" but refuse to call someone else. There are no other rooms, the hotel is booked solid, and no rooms at surrounding hotels so we are literally stuck with nowhere else to go. So after two nights of sleeping on a small couch with my 1.5 year old, I am completely fed up. The owners solution is to give us $20 off.... This room should have been $20 less to begin with as its smaller and is meant for 2 people, not 4. That's not even considering the lack of air conditioning in TEXAS in JULY! This is the worst I've ever been treated by a business owner/management and it's very clear they don't care about their customers. Huge waste of money and time and the owner acts like we just want a free room... No, we want what you advertise on your site... Air conditioning and the room we booked!!!

Beds are very uncomfortable...Lots of road noise , and someone upstairs walking around all night. Great location, just had terrible night's sleep due to bed. Other BW'S have great beds, so disappointed by this one.

From start to finish, my stay was pleasant. The front desk staff was terrific. They even gave me a room on a higher floor when I requested one upon check-in. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I had a king size bed and I slept very well. The inn is extremely quiet so there were no slamming doors or screaming people which is always appreciated. I like that it is small with only three floors, and I felt very safe even coming back late at night. House cleaning stuff does a great job and is very friendly when you come upon them in the hallway. Minor quibbles: The pool does not have any umbrellas and therefore empty and in the blistering heat of June, I would recommend that they invest in some. The free breakfast was fine. The person replenishing the food was very nice and polite and greeted everyone. Have the waffles or biscuits and gravy with the link sausage. The somewhat remote location is really meant for someone who will be renting a car or getting a ride from friends. It is really not a walking around neighborhood most especially at night. There is a whattaburger just across the street from the hotel where I enjoyed a tasty snack the first evening.

The staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was very clean. I loved the pool time and the fitness room is a plus. Great breakfast and overall, Best Western Plus in McKinney, TX, is a place I will book again when I visit family.

We found this hotel to be very clean and with updated decor in the lobby and in the rooms. We were very pleased with our stay, the price was appropriate and breakfast was well stocked and laid out. We also appreciated the courteous service we received and would definitely stay at this location again.

Let me start by saying this is a VERY family friendly hotel with a great pool. Why I am on the fence about staying here: Its a PLUS. I expected a little more than duvet covers and nicer shampoo for the cost. The hotel itself is nice, but the room was sub-par and it smelled. I can't even describe the smell- like a cross between sulphur and cleaner??? For a suite, it seemed to be missing furniture and the fold out couch was broken and ratty. No linens or blankets for fold out couch. The refrigerator was missing parts on the door. The microwave was OLD and yellowed with age. The pool was great and I was happy to see chair lifts for the handicapped. (Just FYI- hot tub is currently out of order.) We met a lot of really nice people staying there as well. Crazy as it sounds, I was pretty annoyed by the sign that asked us not to take breakfast food into our rooms... really? I get not taking syrupy waffles, but you do realize that when you have a microwave and a refrigerator- people are going to eat in the rooms...right?

Alot when on during our 4 night stay, it was never dull. After checking in , it stared to rain.... in our room. A leak near the bed that was a pretty steady drip. Called the front desk, they offered to bring us a bucket. We said that wasn't going to resolve our issue, we didn't think we would sleep well hearing the dripping all night, they said there were no other rooms available. We politely suggested they find one for us and after we returned from dinner, they had found a leak free room for us. In our new room, we looked out the window to see a massive spray of water spraying our car and only our car, like a fountain. The watering system had gone wild and we were lucky enough to have been the ones that parked just in the right spot. Since it had just rained, our windows were up, otherwise it wouldn't have been so funny. We just said our room must have come with a free car wash. On our second day, returning to our room after breakfast, our room key didn't work, so back to the front desk. They said nobody was in room 314.... but we were. They had not updated the system when they moved us from the leaky room. So that was ok, they made the updates. But for some reason, we had to return to the front desk daily to have our keys reactivated, they kept not working. Seriously, every day. We needed extra blankets due to unseasonably cool weather, they were out, having just given the last one to another room. Ok, that was interesting. All of our interactions with the front desk were fine overall, the staff was friendly and helpful enough, we just seemed to have alot of contact with them. They did make an adjustment on our bill at check out due to changing rooms, as I had expected should be done. I also heard other guests comment on how helpful the staff was so that is always good to hear. Considering all the little things, it was still a good stay. The rooms are clean and the breakfast bar had a good variety and was well stocked. The hotel is in a good location for all of the areas we needed to go, I would stay here again due to the reasonable price.

I had a couple of concerns with this hotel while I was staying there. Since it was just a quick overnight stay I didn't bother bringing it up with anyone because I was glad to be leaving soon. I will say that the 2 employees I had interactions with were very friendly and professional. The biggest issue was that I did not feel safe. Walking to the hotel entrance late at night alone was incredibly stressful because there were a few cars with people just hanging out in them. One guy looked like he was sleeping out there. Two others were just people just sitting in trucks seemingly watching everyone. Had it been daytime or if they seemed like they were out there for a reason I wouldn't have thought twice about it, but it was very sketchy feeling. Once I got inside I was anxious all night because I had to leave my car in a less than secure feeling lot and hope it wasn't broken into at night, which I know is unfortunately a common occurrence at hotels. The lack of monitoring of parking lot activities was concerning to me, and was even more evident the next morning. As I was leaving there was a man working on a wrecked car in the parking lot. I don't know how he even drove it there as it was in bad shape with the whole front end crushed in. He was carrying tools from one car and working on this one like it was his own driveway. There was an employee picking up trash from the parking lot at the same time, so someone clearly knew this was happening on the property. Definitely not something I would expect at a BWPlus hotel based on my previous visits at other locations. Arriving inside the room was a bit of a disappointment because the lobby looked so nice. The room was clean and well appointed, but smelled bad. If I had to describe it I would say it seemed moldy or musty, but luckily running the AC for a bit made it better. I was also surprised that there were no real pillows on the bed, only 4 throw pillow sized pillows in standard sized pillow cases. I just looked at the property photos online and they show the smaller pillows, so it's apparently intentional. I probably wouldn't have cared except that a real pillow would have been nice to wrap around my head so I wouldn't have to hear the walking/flushing from above me throughout the night. I'm wondering what the "plus" designation even means anymore as I thought it meant there was a higher level of quality which this location was not. The BWPlus location we frequent in Chicago is remarkably nicer than this one so I was quite disappointed. My expectations weren't very high because this was an affordable hotel, but it was comparable in price with the Holiday Inn and La Quinta in the area that I've stayed at before without these issues. I had high hopes for this hotel since I will be staying in the area several times a year, but I would prefer to stay somewhere that lowers my stress instead of adding to it.

Resulted in gastric distress that could not have occurred elsewhere. Otherwise everything was well above average. However, due to the distress I cannot say that it was a pleasant experience. The staff were polite and professional.

The hotel itself isn't bad. I was booked for one night for a baseball tournament. The room was warm and the AC couldn't seem to keep up, even though the high was 82 today. I realized I really had a problem after returning from dinner. The shower didn't work. Only a small trickle of water would come out and the water wouldn't get hot. Completely unacceptable. I tried to call the front desk and no one answered the phone. I walked down to the front lobby and was told that maintenance had already left for the day. I explained that I was not paying for a room unless I could take a shower. They claimed they were booked full and the best they could do is have maintenance look at it in the morning (on a Sunday, we will see how that works out). Extremely disappointed in the lack of shower after a long day AND the awful service. I will be calling my credit card company if they try to charge me for the room.

1st time stay in this town at this hotel. Usually stay at the Hampton Inn, it was booked. Never stay here again. TV did not work, the refrigerator was missing and the rate was very high for the value. Overall probably one of the worse hotels that we have stayed at. The only good thing was the location.

Here for a wedding so stayed a couple of days.. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast bar okay seems everyone serve sausage.. Off the highway a little but close to lots of things. Easy access to all.

Cost with all the amenities offered was great! Clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff, very quiet, convenient to stores, gas, food, entertainment. We will be using this hotel when returning to McKinney.

This Hotel is always very clean and welcoming. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Convenient to a variety of food choices and shopping. Very nice variety of choices at the breakfast bar in the morning. Enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was located near family in Dallas, so we book it through Book.com. Overall it was clean and good outward appearance. We stayed on the third floor. The carpet near the elevators was dirty. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was okay. The staff were friendly and courteous. Quiet and nice area.

We choose this hotel because of the location and the pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed for the season, this is not mentioned on the website. If we knew this we would not have booked this hotel In the fridge we found food from a previous guest. Overall the hotel is ok, nothing special. But neither the management of this hotel or Best Western customer care respond to my complaint. I am still waiting .........

The rooms are nice and clean with duvet covers (no grimy bedspreads). The rooms have higher ceilings, mini-fridge, microwave and a clean bathtub. The staff is friendly and helpful (shout out to Cindy, Chris and Ross). The breakfast is very good. The location is great (just off highway 75) and we felt safe in the area. Nearby stores include a CVS, Whataburger, Dairy Queen, Big Lots, and Tuesday Morning.

We loved the area and our great room. The carpeting and most of the furnishings looked brand new (the side chair could use replacement, but it was okay). The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We got a great nights sleep and got off to a good start for our next stop.

Upon checking in 2 weeks ago we reported that the room fone didnt receive calls to the front desk. Despite promises wasn't fixed in 4 days The next week we Checked into a different room.This time the fone didn't work at all. Reported to front desk.Checked out 5 days later fone still broken. External door card readers broken, need to walk all around building to get back from shops However ross at breakfast is brilliant. Plastic knives at breakfast do not cut apples. He daily presents a metal knife to my wife to overcome this issue. No ketchup at breakfast...so he went and bought a bottle from the local store. Pity the hotel owners don't aspire to his high standards of customer service!

good experience at this very reasonably priced hotel; front desk staff friendly enough, beds comfortable enough, and room was clean enough; conveniently adjacent to Whataburger and CVS pharmacy, with several other very nearby options to eat/shop if need be (ours was only an overnight stay for an event at a nearby venue) did not try the hot breakfast but did sneak a peek: eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pour-your-own waffles, choice of cereals for the kids, all smelling and looking appealing enough... but the craving for pancakes and bacon was too strong, so off we went to an IHOP just up 75 I guess that's why I'm rating it as an average hotel, it was a good enough experience, just lacking that extra attention to detail, for me...

Not somewhere I'd stay if I wanted a view or reliable internet in my room but for the price it was functional with great staff and I'd probably stay again. Easy to get to and rooms very well presented

This property is located right off the expressway, directly behind Whataburger and CVS, which is convenient. Everything was reasonably clean and quiet. The breakfast was OK. All around, not bad for the price.

This was a good hotel with a full breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful, and the 24 hour staffed desk made our arrival and departure easier. The price was good and saved us considerably over the other hotels we considered.

Great price and location for football game attended. Check-in was fast, easy, prompt and friendly. Rooms were spacious, well appointed and CLEAN! Plenty of nice towels, toiletries, etc. Fridge microwave and Wi-Fi that worked! Plenty of close parking and area amenities. Would stay again!

Just spent a week at this hotel and as I've come to expect from this chain the place was well maintained and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and the usual Best Western breakfast was available. I will definitely stay there again.

Convenient location off I75.Easy parking location. close to a new WINCO grocery store and other shopping areas.Not a lot of truck traffic. close to fast food restaurants. Our room 314 did not have adequate bathroom/bedroom lighting. So just check those things up front.

You will pretty much need a visit to the chiropractor after sleeping on these beds. The have the coils popping in your every move. The water preassure is horrible on the 3rd floor. When asked to move the said it was the whole place. Try getting shampoo out of your hair when it's half way down your back. It took me 30 minutes! The rugs in the front lobby was not vacuumed the entire time were were there. You could see the same crud on them. The breakfast is mediocre. The front office staff were very pleasant though, they knew it was all messed up but they can't control the owner. There is a new Sheraton not far from here. The classmates that stayed there loved there experience.

We spent one night at this hotel and it took us days to re-cooperate from sleeping on the awful mattress. It was rock hard. The pullout sofa wasn't any better! The mattress was falling through the frame. I called ahead to request extra pillows and the front desk person said they would give them to us at check in. When we arrived and asked for the extra pillows the front desk man said "I wish you had called ahead, we only have two left". Well, we did call ahead!!!

Very satisfied with the service and the staff. Very nice hotel and very close to the local area. Beverly was wonderful. Very sweet spirit and Cindy was great when she took over as well. Highly recommend this location if you're staying in or near McKinney. Great value in a great area

Pleasant and comfortable stay in 3 story BW. Easy check in and out. Nice room with large TV and Internet service. Appreciated the side rail in the bath/shower area. Very quiet. Free breakfast was good.

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western (wedding group). Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Nothing fancy, but the price was reasonable for our friends and extended family. There is a lot of construction on Hwy 75, so take care driving to this destination!

could not initially find our reservation, not enough luggage carts - had to make several trips, not adequate breakfast seating, barely warm food at breakfast and the exact same food each day, key card reader not working to outside entrance, did not replenish used cups/glasses in room, noisy.

We booked this room because we were moving into our new house the next day. We originally thought pets were allowed but the P on the travel site meant parking, not pets. We are new to area so our pet had to stay in car overnight. Breakfast was better than usual and my kids Loved the Texas shaped waffles.

Nothing exceptional here, but it does meet the standards of Best Western. Staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended a local restaurant after we found out the one next door was no longer open. The rooms were clean and neat. The pillows lacked a little in the fluff department and the bathtub was starting to show its age. I'd still recommend the place. Whataburger is right outside the door which is a Texas tradition and one exit up is Bill's Cafe for a great breakfast.

For an overnight stay of convenience, this was a perfect value for myself and my 3 children. It was clean and the staff were very efficent and nice. Will continue to stay with Best Western if all are this nice.

As advertised no surprises. Some what difficult to get too due to construction but other than that all was OK. OK for a weekend, nearby shopping and gas stations. This was a weekend trip with good weather and generaly low trafic for the most part with some construction at several rout locations. Hank

I went to McKinney to visit relatives and stayed here. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and a large room. When the people in the room got loud late one night and I asked the front desk to speak to them, they handled it right away. Good selection for breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay really clean nice Breakfast best we had on our trip to Iowa and back to Texas. Rooms where huge compaired to other rooms we stayed in on our trip. Beds where very comfy. Recommend this place to anyone. the rprice was way cheaper than all the hotels we stayed with on this trip.
