Best Western Lumberton

Quiet despite being surrounded by restaurant s and other hotels. This is a basic hotel. Outside entrance. Very nice desk staff. Breakfast was great. Out breakfast room attendant,Eiesha, ( I probably messed up her name) was the most polite, hardest worker I've seen at ANY hotel. The second someone left, she was scrubbing the table, clearing crumbs. Always asked how we were, how we liked the breakfast. I would put this woman in upper management if I were running the show!! Can't go wrong here.

Very clean, Staff was very friendly. Booking online was simple and easy. Very affordable. I've stayed in two other hotels in the exact same area. They failed in comparison to the Best Western. Wouldn't change a thing... Amazing free breakfast... Parking with simple.. Everything worked exactly like like it was suppose to in the room.

I picked up a coupon book at rest area for this motel. I was pleasantly surprised at the room . It was very reasonably priced. The rooms were clean. They had a good breakfast. I liked that we could enter the rooms from parking area and not have to go through the lobby.

Room was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Breakfast variety included hot and cold food which I enjoyed immensely. Stayed here 1 week apart for both directions of my trip. Convenient to highway and local restaurants and the staff was welcoming.

Great pet friendly motel that has spacious rooms, very clean as well as updated and a satisfying breakfast for a great rate! Staff are very accommodating and all our needs were met. Would highly recommend this motel when traveling!

This hotel has got to be in one of the noisier areas of Lumberton. If it isn't the racing cars, or the loud radios in passing auto's that keep you awake, it will surely be the inconsiderate people staying at the place. Walls are paper thin, people slamming doors, guests shouting or talking loud outside your door. Awful, maybe the rooms on the front are quieter, the ones in the back are worthless. I won't stay here again.

This is a great place to stay overnight when traveling if you have a pet. The hotel is a little dated but the rooms have been upgraded and are clean and do not have carpet on the floors which prevents the odors from pets that may have an accident. the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Easy on and off of 95.

This is not a HOTEL It is a MOTEL. NO elevator. Good luck dragging your bags upstairs. Our suite was remodeled by a moron. The kitchenette had NO electric plugs anywhere. NO kitchen towels or a towel bar. NO trash can, NO nothing. The coffee was in the bathroom next to the toilet. No tissue, Two hair conditioners, NO shampoo. I found crushed potato chips in the nightstand drawer. No CLOCK on nightstand. Last but not least the new room electric door keypad had been installed on the old steel door and did not line up with old door jam. The door had to be SLAMMED shut. Doors slammed all night long. Oh by the way, the room looked great in the photos. I certainly DO NOT recommend this MOTEL.

Great location of I95. Close to Walmart and places to eat. This is a motel not a hotel. Good size rooms, clean and pet friendly. Beds are clean and comfortable. Each room has small refrigerator and microwave.

After 2 room changes at a Holiday Inn Express, I decided to try Best Western. To my surprise, they delivered Price, Service, Cordial Hospitality and everything a traveler need!! Even pen and note pads, a Bible and a great breakfast meal!!

The Ritz this is not! But if you need a place to stay that is right off 95 and you have a pet, it works. I was travelling alone from FL to VA and had to break the trip up. I have an 11 week old puppy so this place worked out perfectly. I requested a room on the bottom floor where can you park right near your door. I did not feel unsafe here at all. Plenty of grass and pick-up bags for your pup. Everything was well lit and there are plenty of stores/places to eat and gas stations nearby. The room was clean but did smell of pets (which is to be expected). Overall, it was fine. I would stay again if travelling with my dog.

Trish ran the breakfast buffet. She is a master at her job. All the staff here was very friendly. Facility is beautiful and well cared for. Wifi was fast, fast, fast. Room in every was marvelous. Pool was big and inviting. Nice to park in front of your room.

There was one oversight by the cleaning staff but overall the room was updated (especially shower), clean and roomy. A lot of extras like clean remote, microwave, fridge and iron/ironing board. Also appreciated lack of carpeting in the room which added to the cleanliness. A/C almost worked too well! Breakfast had a lot of good options like scramble eggs and bacon, vanilla low fat yogurt with topping selections, assorted breads and toaster, waffle maker, and oatmeal (with topping choices as well). Easy check in/check out process.

Love the location of this one, close walking distance across the street to all my favorites, chick fil a, starbucks, firehouse subs. Walmart next door. King suite was so roomy, excellent, great room, will stay again.

Very clean! updated flooring, furniture, countertops, bathroom. The suite was spacious. Bed linens were nice. A/C worked well. Everything was top notch. When we stayed, there was no vacancy so that means others know it is a great place to stay too!!! The outdoor pool was clean and well maintained. We did not use the pool as we were only passing through for the night and left the next morning. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of options, hot and cold, fresh yogurt, waffle makers, juices, oatmeal, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, bread, bagels, muffins. Definitely recommend staying here! If we come this way again, would definitely stay here again!!!

We have stayed here numerous times in the past few years traveling back and forth to Florida. Thank goodness we found this great hotel....staff is wonderful....hotel is spotless...breakfast delicious. After a long day on the road...nice to come to a spotless comfortable room. The manager..Livonia was the best...spelling may b off im sorry....thank you all for your hospitality ✌️❤️

This Best Western is very clean and comfortable. It offers a great breakfast, and the staff are all very friendly. It is also very convenient to I-95 with easy access exiting and entering the interstate. The beds are very comfortable as well.

We needed a 1 night stay returning our daughter from college.We picked this hotel based on location and review. This hotel is literally right off 95 and was very clean. Staff was friendly and breakfast was hot. My wife and I really like the laminate floor over carpet. parking lot was well lit and I felt secure and Waffle House was walking distance cross the street.

We would definitely stay here again in the future. Mini-frig and microwave in the room were convenient for us. Walmart is right behind the hotel so we just walked on over to get some microwavable dinners because we just wanted to stay in the room and relax. There are plenty of eating options that you can walk to. Good size room was nice and tidy and everything was in working order. Found staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Good location. Many restaurants close by. Easy to find from highway. Breakfast was good. There was a dog next door but it was quiet once it settled down. Plenty of channels on the TV. Bathroom had bars for handicapped.

Ive stayed at many hotels in my life but this one was the worst. The floors felt "stick". The sheets and towels were all threadbare. Neither my husband or I would take aa shower because it looked so bad. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great for pets with very convenient and large dog walking areas. Located withing walking distance of numbers of eateries and close to major box stores too. Easy access to Interstate. Acceptable breakfast bar. Friendly staff. Park your car within a few feet of your room door which is quite nice when traveling with pets - especially multiple dogs. Efficient check in and check out. Nice flat screen tv with lots of stations.

Our room was clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful but the property has a seedy vibe with drab decor and unkept grounds. A mouse ran across the lobby as I checked us in. We did not feel that it was good value for the price.

The room and property were decently clean and spacious. It is in a great location. The mattress and seating had decent firmness. The TV stations displayed wonderfully. Breakfast was good with sufficient options to choose from.

it appears Best WEstern decided to buy an old motel and slap their name on it. dirty floors in the room. lumpy pillows. soft springy mattresses impossible to get a good night sleep. Staff VERY HOSPITABLE and breakfast VERY GOOD. But if you want to sleep, go somewhere else.

Stopped overnite on way south. Stayed at BW all the way and expected same at this hotel. Breakfast was good and the problem was room was not too clean, found some insects on floor, but again its the south and outside doors. However the water pressure fell to nil when you flushed toilet so had to wait till full to take shower or use sink,

We always stay here traveling to and from PA to FL and are very happy with the way reservation was handled and the rooms. The price is right too! Other than a few minor problems, we experienced friendly staff--especially housekeeping. We will be back! It is also very convenience to many stores and restaurants.

I stay at BW because the hotels are usually clean and a good value. Nothing fancy but no complaints. Room is clean but dated. Glad they use laminate floors. Everything worked, internet is fine. breakfast area is a nice and well maintained

The room upon arrival had a distant smell and the air conditioner did not function well. The phone did not work as well. The shower did not seem like it had been cleaned. We found housecleaning only comes every other day and there was only one house keeper whom we had to locate and of course with it being thanksgiving we knew that it was days where no one would be on-site but when trying to get our towels exchanged and a blanket we were told there would be a charge. Very upsetting and disappointed trip.

I had to make a trip to South Carolina and I'm too old to be making those 16 hour dashes nonstop from PA to South Carolina anymore so I decided to stay the night in Lumberton at the Best Western which I have done before. The location of the hotel is good as it is easy to find when you get off I95 North or South . There are also plenty of gas stations and places to eat and shop !

This place is so noisy!!!! Unfortunately we didn't have a hotel picked out on our trip beforehand and we needed one that accepted pets. We did some research and found this place. I've stayed at Best Westerns before and they were always decent. This one is okay, no frills by any means, but the main thing is it's so dang noisy. It's in a heavy traffic area right in front of a Walmart Super Center and every vehicle that goes in and out of the area seems to have a loud engine. Thankfully we are only here for one night and I wouldn't ever come back. Other things….the rooms all have doors that enter from the outside, which is fine, and there's only 2 floors but no elevator, which wasnt an issue for us, but may be for people with limited mobility. Just wanted to share that also. If you need a lower floor, call ahead to make reservations.

Having travelled 535 miles from Central Florida, a huge room with a king-sized bed was just the right medicine to recover from a nine-hour journey and prepare to continue the next day to Maryland. And, we greatly enjoyed the hot breakfast offered which fueled us on the last leg of our 890 mile journey. All of the hotel staff, especially Hillary at the Front Desk, were so helpful and charming. Hotel was good for one night. Room was pretty clean. There was some debris on the floor and could have been swept better but overall was very clean. Hotel is old and dated but has had some room renovations so isnt bad. Beds are very comfortable. Wifi was great. Breakfast was the average hotel breakfast but hot and good. Staff was ok...a new employee was checking in guests and was obvious she was very new. With 3 guests in line, the employee that was working with her left and went to smoke a cigarette. The new employee had to leave the desk to go ask the employee a question. Employee could have waited til guests were all checked in before going on break. The new employee was very apologetic and nice but was not good for a new employee

This is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed in. It was very outdated and I felt unsafe. It sits in the parking lot of a giant Walmart. When we arrived I realized that there was no elevator. As a disabled veteran with a very bad back and knees; we had to climb two flights of stairs with our luggage only to find out that we were on the wrong side of the hotel. At check in the front desk clerk pointed and said “your room is around there; on the second floor”. No map showing us where to go. We followed his directions and climbed the stairs and realized that our rooms were all the way on the other side. So we went back down the stairs and walked to the other side. The stairs were blocked with caution tape and we had to walk the length of the hotel to go up another set of stairs. Meanwhile during our walk their was a horrible chemical smell that took my breath away. I asked the front desk clerk for a first floor room due to my disabilities and he told me they were sold out for the night. It would have been nice if he explained that the one set of stairs were out of service but he didn't. The hotel felt dirty and unsafe and in need of major upgrades. We could tell the bed was old but even worse were the sheets and blanket. They were very old and thin. We did not stay for breakfast because that would have meant a trip up and down the stairs and my knees couldn't handle it. I love the hotel brand; just not this hotel.

This is our go to stop on way N from FL. Rooms are plain, but very clean and comfortable. There is a $20 pet fee but even with that the place is very affordable. Nice grassy area to walk our pup.Breakfast was nice and plenty of great coffee. The attendant was very attentive and refilled things quickly. We recommend the rooms on the opposite side of building from Walmart because of truck parking. Mini-fridge and microwave in each room. The desk clerk,, Claudia, has been there for years and is so sweet and helpful! Be sure to tell her Hello.

Nice motel. Good for one night stopover. Lobby and grounds are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Quick check in and check out. Room could have been a little cleaner but not bad at all, very passable. Clean where it counted such as main floor area, beds/sheets, bathroom and sink area. Room looked to be updated. Right off 95. Good choice of restaurants around. Would recommend.

We were traveling to Myrtle Beach and stayed at Best Western Lumberton NC. After 10 hours of traffic we were glad to get settled in and have dinner and Rest. We had two adjoining rooms and began bathing children and settling down. Upon entry after dinner we discovered our TV did not work so the front desk came up and confirmed so we asked them to just change out the TV from another room but were told this was not allowed and we would have to move. They were moving us to the room on the other side and stated it was also adjoining. It was not adjoining even though their diagram of hotel showed it was. The front desk clerk stated we had to move because she had marked the room as occupied. We told her we were not moving as we were exhausted. The bathtub in the room would also not drain. I have contacted the manager on four occasions to discuss the issues we had but I've never received the courtesy of a callback.

Overall clean room, cozy bed, great shower head. Doggie areas were nice to have. Just a bit noisy, but that's not the hotels fault. One suggestion, have road worker trucks park out back away from rooms.

The hotel is deceiving in that it is along the highway and you'd expect the rooms a to be kind of tired based on the type of place and location. Quite the contrary. The room was in great shape and super clean. Considering it it's pet friendly, that was remarkable, It was super comfortable for me and my large dog

I didn't realize Best Western had such poor quality motels. True, this is a 2 story catwalk building. No elevator. It's in the parking lot of Walmart. No security. Tractor trailers park in front of your room. When do you see a motel attached to Walmart? Never. No privacy. Can't open curtains for light. Yes, it is a renovated room but not for me. Lowest class building with tiny pool. Ice machine broken. Creepy.

Spent one night while on the road. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Our room was clean, bathroom was clean, and everything was in working order. The breakfast was adequate, a typical Best Western breakfast. Location was essentially in a Walmart parking lot, but there were many dining options in the area. Easy access to the interstate. I would stay here again.

Hotel was awful. Staff was rude. My first night there was a Stray cat in my room that relieved itself in my room and the staff made ME get it out. 2nd night there were flies and gnats in my room. Disgusting

We were traveling with kids and the room cleanliness was very bad. The sink water drain was not working and we had to use the other room for basic amenities. The pillows were so hard which we cannot use at all. The room had a distinct odor and on top of it, the hotel had a motel kind of feeling.

My family and I stayed 7 nights, we were disappointed in the options available at breakfast, and the very watery coffee. Also the noise from the parking lot was insane. Cars racing through. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. We were not aware there was no elevator and this was difficult for our elderly parents as we were put on the 2nd floor and told they were sold out and couldn't put us on the ground floor! However we noticed several rooms available throughout the week. It is conveniently located near the exits to the highway and many food locations and shopping is close by.

I love that the room did not have carpet. Because hotels with carpet have bad odor and this room did not have a bad odor. Location is good, a lot of fast food restaurants are near and other shopping stores.

I only stayed overnight, had a handicap room. with a very comfortable king bed. The room was clean and the bathroom was well equipped with grab bars. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. It was good to see a full cooked breakfast again after all the limitations of Covid. My only complaint was the outside noise with racing cars and motorcycles, but the staff assured me that this was being taken care of.

Talk about getting your money's worth! I couldn't have picked a better hotel, even from the upper-crust hotel chains. Beds were comfy, A/C unit was quiet, TV worked great...plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as WalMart and Lowe's. Very handy easy on and off I-95. Friendly staff and great front desk folks!

I reviewed this hotel back in 2017 and gave it 3 stars and reccomend it. As traveling snowbirds, this has been a frequent stop over the years. It has gone downhill in alot of ways. The cleanliness was lacking. The floors were so dirty that I never took off my shoes except in bed. The linens were rough and scratchy. There were no tissues, and no laundry bags. All this and a big price increase! Time to look for another hotel.

The room was very clean. This was the second time we stayed here. We will stop there again in October when we travel North again. There plenty of food places and a Walmart you can walk to. So this is the place to stay for even a vacation.

This is one of the better Best Western hotels on i95 at least compared to others in North and South Carolina. Just stayed for a night traveling up i95. It was full when I checked in so you might need to reserve early to get a room.

We will never again stay at the Best Western in Lumberton, NC The floors were filthy There was crap on the underside of the toilet seat We killed a half dozen bugs. I guess that's what we get for staying in a pet friendly hotel The woman at the front desk was kind if that's any consolation to you at this point Oh and the breakfast was ok Looks to me like Lumberton needs a bit of an upgrade. No reflection on the people who live there

This hotel has been nicely renovated. Nice new grey wood look floors updated furniture, leather look inlay headboards , BIG screen tv big room with couch and coffee table sitting area .Very nice .Drive up and park at room door . Great location , so many restaurants close by gas etc . Good assortment of hot and cold breakfast items My complaint ,which I let the front desk clerk know, was the Mattress!!!! the mattress was lumpy bumpy and had a big body dent. The AC/Heater made loud noises all night. Which the clerk ,to her credit a said the man were working on it as we spoke . The mattresses were in the process of being swapped out I hope so because they did an excellent job with the Reno so far. I would stay here again to see if the mattress change and the AC/Heater repairs are completed, because everything else I was very happy with.

We travel several times a year between FL and PA and this is where we have stayed the last two years. The hotel is clean and the service is always good. We always have the breakfast before we leave in the morning and it's always fresh and delicious.

We always stay at Best Westerns as we travel back and forth from Pennsylvania to Florida. We like the easy access from the highway, the close proximity to several restaurants and gas stations. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable.

Being a Best Western Member I have acquired Best Western Points over time and recently earned two $20.00 cash rewards during a promotion. When I attempted to use my cash rewards the Customer Service Reps on the phone could NOT help me even though I was directed to the Rewards Department. It was nearly 11 p.m. when we checked in and the employee at the desk did not have the ability to use my cash rewards or any of my 17,000 points. When checking out in the morning I had the pleasure and good fortune to be assisted by Veanna Locklear-Christian. I explained my request and within minutes applied my two cash rewards before they would expire. She was just the sweetest person that provided TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. May I suggest that the Rewards Department get updated with procedures that are more customer service oriented. Best Western was a reliable clean and safe and very comfortable stay. Breakfast was freshly made , lots of choice and tasted great. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. We travelled down to Florida and back and really appreciated how close to the I-81 and I-95 the hotel/motels were.

We stop here every time we travel north/south. It's a nice place, many stores around. The only issue is the $20 charge for my dog. I can see maybe $10. There wasn't enough food ready for breakfast. No toast or bacon.

We have stayed at this Best Western everytime we travel To/from Florida. We will continue to use this Motel next year. The Qween size beds are very comfortable The lighting and AC were very good. Parking was right outside, so we didn't have to walk far. Food joins were within walking distance.

Very Limited Breakfast, no waffles, no orange juice, few pastries, no yogurt, no fruit, not worth the price. I stayed at other Best Westerns for less money and have had a great breakfasts. I'm crossing this BW off my list.

We have been staying here on our return trip from FL for several years. Nothing fancy but rooms are clean, beds like s cloud (Just replaced them this year), and pet friendly. The desk clerk, Claudia, is friendly and helpful; cleaning staff accommodating. Breakfast was hot and good; the attendant was nice and kept items well stocked. Plenty of places to get dinner. We usually grab to go from Smithfields just across rhe parking lot. Tip: if traveling with pets ask for ground floor room and get one on the side away from Walmart; trucks and campers idle all night. We had the a/c on so no problem for us.

The Lumberton stay was very good. The hotel was clean beds were comfortable the amenities were great. I was able to check in while on the road the desk clerk made suggestions to get a room with 2 queen beds on the first floor as they only had King beds on the 2nd floor and no elevator

We appreciated the nice room and the most comfortable beds. After a long day of driving it's nice to find comfort and cleanliness in a hotel, which is why I choose Best western. I am never disappointed when I stay at a Best Western Hotel. The friendly staff that greets you is very important.

Moving from Long Island NY to Florida, this was our second night in a Best Western on the trip down. We check the room for cleanliness upon entering. Found a dead roach in the desk drawer. Other than that, the room was clean, the sheets were clean and the breakfast was great. Staff was helpful at check-in

Stayed here on ourcway home via 95 from Florida. Stayed at the BW in Smithville on our way down which was clean, well maintained & perfect for a night's sleep. This one not much. Stairs leading to 2nd floor crumbling. Exterior corridor seems to be pitched. Interior new floor but the rest not so much. No fitted sheet on the bed, walls chipped, bathroom old and not clean. Pick another place to stay.

We like motels with outside rooms. It is a short distance to Intrastate 95 and we felt very safe at the Motel. The room and grounds were very clean . There are several big box stores in walking distance. The breakfast bar was fully stocked. The food was excellent and the breakfast staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this motel and will stay again.

Nice stay for a night on our way to Florida. Pet friendly, Clean and comfortable and just wnat is needed for an overnight on a long ride Needs some renovations and maybe nicer breakfast but all in all 3 1/2- 4 rating

Reading other reviews on this hotel I found complaints about pet smells and hair left behind by cleaners. Against my better judgment we stayed here anyway. We asked for a room that no pets had used. My thinking was that they designated some rooms for pets and the rest for persons with no pets. I found out this is not the case. All rooms can and have had pets in them. I was assured that smells would not be a problem as the rooms had no carpets. However upon entering the room the floors were sticky to walk on. It didn't give me that clean feeling. I couldn't adjust water temperature in the shower unless I turned off the tap, adjusted the temp and started it back up again. Felt like human in a dog hotel. The dogs were barking in the morning as the owners took them out for a walk. This started around 6 am. I counted 4 different dogs barking at each other. It went on periodically for a couple of hours. Arrived a few minutes to 9 am for breakfast and waited for the diners to leave the food area before proceeding and was then told that they closed at 9 and the food has been put away. Sorry but I will find somewhere else to lay my head down the next time I'm in the area.

Booked here coming home from Disney and was able to use my BW points. Another very easy check in, very nice comfortable room and an excellent free breakfast. Many great choices for dinner here and easy to get to from I-95.

The staff was nice but at 7pm I was given the last 2nd floor room on the quiet side. Therefore, when we entered a stinky room with dog food on the floor and stains from dog saliva and hair on the bedspread, we just gave up and said nothing.

We stayed here two years ago and weren't impressed. After reading reviews about the updates we decided to try again. Check in was great. Friendly. Got to our room, peeled back the bed cover and the sheets had obviously not been changed. Heavily wrinkled and several short hairs. We were moved after a phone call and two visits to the front desk. Yes, the rooms look prettier when you open the door, but we won't be back.

We stay here often. Convenient good service well priced and near good restaurants. It is a top value! Easy freeway access and good parking. Nice location to Walmart and Lowes. Close by a DQ ice cream too! Yay!

This is an amazing place to stay. It has so much to do on every corner. I couldn't decide which one to do first. If you like to shop I mean there is a Walmart at the end of the parking lot, a Home Depot on the other side of the parking lot. A small shopping mall just down of the street. Places to eat galore, and a Starbucks when you exit the parking lot. Best of all they are so sweet to have pets stay also!

Traveling back to DC from Fl and wanted to totally avoid the nasty hotels in Florence, SC. The extra hour drive was totally worth it. Yes, it's an old hotel so even after checking out the reviews, I was apprehensive when I pulled in. Went to check in, saw the friendly faces at the counter and the Sanitation Dept rating of 98.5 and immediately let myself breathe. Clean hotel, super comfortable, and in a very convenient location. Lots of restaurants….bonus of a Panera practically in the same parking lot and a Starbucks across the street, opens at 5:30 am. Will definitely be back in Feb. ps traveling with 2 small dogs.

The people, the faces of this company, are top notch and very kind. The room was all that I expected and the breakfast was actually A LOT better than their competitors. I had requested extra blankets and pillows, and they had all of this ready and waiting in my room. . This location is great, too, with quick easy access to groceries, a bite to eat, gas, a car wash, the list goes on. And pet friendly, too! What else could you ask for?

We stay in this hotel several times each year as we travel from Florida to Pennsylvania. It is easy to reach off of 95. Nearby are several restaurants. We usually get someone to eat from Panera Bread, which is a very short walk across the parking lot. Also there is a Starbucks a short walk away. The rooms are always clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is very good, too.

Don't know what else one could want from a roadside motel. Great location 2 minutes off of 95, with a Walmart across the parking lot. Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast (during Covid, when many places have no breakfast), all at a very reasonable price. Shout out to Harley ("like the motorcycle) at the front desk. I pulled in late at night after a long day on the road and she was SO welcoming, helpful, and efficient. Great service.

We stayed in room 114. truckers parked close to rooms .Walmart parking lot nearby, within walking distance. room could be alot cleaner by cleaning tv screen , picture frames and dusting better .Breakfast is microwave kind of eggs and sausage. Did have waffle maker.

Great place for us to stop on our north south trips 4 times a year. Great place to stop if you have dogs.Lots of eating options real close. Also easy off and on I-95. Always clean and quiet and good parking.

Bathroom door handle was loose and door would not latch. Toilet ran constantly, had to jiggle handle to stop. The breakfast was good and the hotel was in a good location. Don't let that fool you. Not worth saving money.

The beds were comfortable, good A/C, pleasant staff. The Door was so worn that light came in all around it, the carpet was worn, and the bathroom well used, with inexpensive fixtures, hard to keep up. A paper bag with a few packaged items for breakfast; coffee maker, refrigerator all okay. Served the purpose of a good nights sleep.

After driving for about 10 hours, we found this Best Western off the interstate. It was easy to make the reservation on the app while driving (I was a passenger). Upon arrival received a friendly greeting from Harley at the front desk. She was super nice, gave a good recommendation for dinner. In the morning, Sylvia, was keeping the breakfast items replenished and the area neat and clean,

The exterior of the hotel was a bit deterring. I booked a room based off of other reviews that were all accurate. The room was very clean/cozy, friendly staff, and a good continental breakfast that was included with my stay.

Pet friendly hotel is very clean, and has comfortable beds and close to many restaurants, urgent care and other stores for all your needs. There is a small pool for families with children. Parking is very easy for pet owners. Continental breakfast has good variety.

A few items were over-looked. I liked staying here but after 3 days, no one cleaned my room, It also smelled musty and moldy. I can understand but they should close the hotel and fumigate and clean it down to the metal. Other then that, I'd stay here again.

Hotel nice for the price you pay, will stay there again. Although rooms clean areas around public areas need some attention. Hot breakfast excellent as other hotels still giving out bag breakfast. Bed was very nice and big tv a plus, though room did not have a coffee table to eat and watch tv- have stayed. Within walking distance every fast food/restaurant you can think off.

I expected more having stayed at a BW about a month before this visit and had a positive experience. At this location, I had paint chips from the ceiling and water stains. The room was very bland. It had a couch but it was not a pullout couch ( I need that). Also, this location is more like a motel as once you exit your room, you are outside. I would have not picked this location had I noticed that. The pic on the website makes it look better than it really is. On the plus side, the staff was friendly, and check-in was quick. I will not stay there again. I should have known something was off due to the rate being around $100.

Thin walls. I could hear every word the woman next door said to the people she called. Also her big dog barked frequently and I could hear every word she said to the dog. The woman taking care of the breakfast area was friendly and kept the area clean and well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. My room looked out onto the parking lots of Walmart & Lowes. Need some trees/bushes to mask that.

Rooms old, room 122 water seeping up thru floorboards, a/c blowing warm air even though set at 65. When I went to office to request diff room, receptionist not very happy. For the price $100+, I would NEVER recommend this place.

I was traveling from FL to MD to see family and was driving with my dog. When we arrived at the Hotel and I saw that my room was on the second floor and that there was no elevator this made it hard for me to get my heavy suitcase up to the room. And the doors face out to a balcony that people walk by. So I did not feel comfortable leaving my curtains open at all. Regardless if they were open I would only have a view of the Wal-Mart parking lot which was busy all night long. Quite a bit of noise could be heard in the room and kept me and my dog up. I did not feel safe to go take my dog out to the bathroom during the night. Even if I had there is no dog walk! There was some grass area which hadn't been mowed. Plus there was broken glass in the parking lot. I didn't want my dog to get in her paws! Once in bed the sheets did not feel clean and when I stood up and pulled covers down there was long black hairs -- this really was gross. If I hadn't been so exhausted I would have gone to front desk to complain. The positive side is the exit is convenient and has a lot of gas stations and places to eat.

The first time staying here and I was greatly impressed by the staff and beautiful room that was spotless. I would recommend it to everyone. We were travelling with our 2 dogs and the amenities of the hotel are perfect.

The hotel and everything was great. Feel very safe in a town that isn't very safe. The only negative is check your bill before you leave about being overcharged. Hope to have the issue resolved pretty soon.

front staff extremely rude, handle me paper to sign, i asked what was I sign it, she responded "I don't knw, I don't stay in hotels, you do, you should know", clerk "we are not responsible for what happens to your car" me "how often do you have events like that that you feel the need to tell me" clerk "I don't know, I am only here when you check in and no when you check out". I asked for quite room and got room right in front of ice maker. When I opened the room an odor of pi/vomit hit me, i was extremely tire from more than 10 hrs. drives and given the "friendless of front desk, I just desired to just shower and go to bed, the were hairs on the shower and the shower did not drain properly so I ended with dirty water from my shower to my ankles, just got out, cleaned then, went to bed, out of a bunch of small pillows, i had to smell them all until i found two that did not smell like someone's else sweat. Website of BW says breakfast varies depending on location, when I checked this hotel I asked if they were serving breakfast, the response was "yes" when I checked in I asked front desk at what time was breakfast, she pointed at breakfast area just cross from reception and told me "6 to 9". When I came down next morning it was not breakfast but a brown bag wit a yogurt that they select for you, a bottle of water and I don't remember what else, I asked to speak with manager and was given a card to call, when I called, I was told, by the same person that gave me the card that the manager does not get there until about 11, I started calling at 11 and until 1pm and no one picked up the phone, So, I gave it a one because the option of -10 does not exist. For the record, I am military affiliated, I have been in hotels all over the country, goods and bad, this one, is in the lowest category.

Plane trip to go to Myrtle Beach first stop was Lumberton North Carolina the night before for rest relaxation for last couple hours drive this is the third time I've done this in the last three years minus the Covid year and I'm going to do it again next year the hotel has been in some cases the best part of the trip I got to meet people that were there I met some new friends annoy and I would recommend it to anybody for the workers there I got to get my props to them They make it worth coming back every year thank you again

I've stayed here twice driving to/from Florida. I found this Best Western (BW) to be good value (especially with a BW Rewards $25 Gift Card) and a convenient stop right off I-95. I was traveling Solo and wanted to stay in a safe location. Within view was a Chik-fil-a, Lowe's, Walmart among other retail stores/food outlets. The rooms open to the outside and my Ground Floor room enabled me to park directly outside my door. There were many guests, which helped me feel safer. During my stay, Grab&Go breakfast bags were provided although other BWs have returned to hot/cold Breakfast Buffets. Maybe this location has had difficulty hiring Breakfast staff?

This hotel is a little dated but very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We did not have much interaction with the staff but when we did they were very professional and pleasant. I would definite stay there again. Nice place for an overnight stay.

Nice and comfortable pet friendly motel. Convenient to I-95. Clean and reasonably priced. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as box stores and service stations. Dog walking was easy with many places to go. Recently upgraded.

Great place for a stopover on a long trip. Many restaurants and stores close by. Room was clean and comfortable. We traveled with our 2 dogs so they put us in a ground floor room close to grassy areas which was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel refuses to follow my request for a first floor room, my wife and I are both severely handicapped but the hotel claims that all the first floor rooms had been booked and put us on the second floor and there are no elevators only stairs They stated if I'm not happy cancel and find yourself another hotel. We drove over twelve hours and finding another room was insane they would not even help. In addition the room the put us in was dirty and the AC was broken.

Traveling back from Florida and needed a pet friendly place. The room was lean, not spotless, but clean. Front desk girl was super professional, polite and attentive. AC and Fridge were cold, beds were comfy and the shower was hot with good pressure. Only things that could have been improved.. room cood have been a bit cleaner and the walls are a little thin. Other then that, great spot to safely travel with.

We stay at this hotel every time we travel from Florida home. We love the location, plenty of restaurants to choose from and when breakfast was served(before Covid) it was great. At least they give you a grab and go bag with more food in it than any other hotel. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable beds.

We travel interstate 95 and Lumberton, NC is the perfect stopping spot. BW is sooo clean, comfortable and convenient. We always request a room that has not been occupied the previous night (COVID concerns) and they always accommodate us. This past trip, all their king rooms had been occupied the night, so to honor our request, they went one step further, and upgraded us to a king suite !!! AMAZING !!

Room was recently updated and very clean, I forgot my slippers and walked barefoot to the shower and floor was CLEAN. Bed was comfortable and TV was good. Plenty of outlets for phone and computer. They were covid compliant. The grab and go breakfast was OK. I had to remind them to include a spoon for the yugurt. The microwave and frige were clean. We will continue to stop here on our way home from FL.

We have stayed at this location several times over and are always pleased. The rooms are clean, the team members are so kind, friendly, and helpful. They are pet friendly which is a bonus for our family.

We usually don't stay at this type of hotel ( generally BW + and above. The hotel has probably been upgraded recently and was still a little tired. The bed was outstanding. The most important part of a road trip is a good nights sleep. I laid down received a big hug from the bed and that was it until the next morning. This stay was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

There is nothing wrong with this motel, though there is nothing special about it, which is surprising given the rave reviews it has received on this site. Makes you wonder who is writing them.... The rooms themselves appear to be relatively recently refurbished and seem clean. The beds were comfortable and large enough to fit myself, three children, and two small dogs, though my son decided he wanted to sleep on the small, non-pullout couch. The bathroom did not have a fan (to mask noise) and the door was thin and cheap. This is a motel, so your outside door and window will literally face the parking lot. We pulled in at about 10 PM and the hotel was sold out. We had a somewhat difficult time finding a spot as the lot was completely full, including large pickups pulling trailers taking up multiple spots. I woke at 7:30 AM to find the parking lot almost completely empty. There is a large grassy area near the next door Wal-Mart that is perfect for walking the dogs and I saw several fellow travelers with their dogs so this is apparently a well known hotel for our types. We were fortunate in that our fellow travelers were quiet and we did not hear them partying or their dogs barking, which easily could have been the case in a motel like this. As I sit here typing this in the silence of the room, I can hear I-95 very loudly in the distance. To mask all of the outside noise, I'd recommend using a white noise machine or finding an ambient rain video on YouTube to play on your computer. The WiFi appeared rather fast for a cheap motel, and I slept quite well on the bed, though the blankets were rather thin. The front desk staff seemed nice, though typically tattooed and on the rough side, which is reflective of the character of the Lumberton area. Finally, there is a Hardees, Panera, and Chick Fil A, as well as multiple gas stations, all located a very short distance away. In summary, the motel did what it was supposed to do for an inexpensive price and gave me and my children and dogs a place to rest before we continued our journey. Sometimes that's all you can ask for.

Room was clean enough but there was an awful moldy smell. I could feel it in my chest when breathing. I woke with a stuffy head and chest. Housekeeping should have noticed this when cleaning the room and not rented it out until it was resolved.

The staff here is so friendly ... even on the phone when I made the reservation. Pet friendly hotels are few and far between in this part of the state so they don't have to be as nice as they are to keep people coming so it was a real plus. Loved the laminate floors that made us feel comfortable that this pet friendly room was really clean. It felt and looked very clean. We were on the ground floor which is perfect with a dog that needs to go outside fairly often, but the trade off is an awful lot of car and truck noise from the parking area right outside the door. The HVAC system does not have a “constant on” setting for the fan which would be a big help to create some white noise between the sleeping area and the parking lot. Great stay and we would go back.

Stayed overnight on long drive to Florida. Great pet friendly hotel. Check in easy and due to Covid a grab and go breakfast with yogurt,muffin, NutraGrain bar and fruit was given. Rooms spacious, clean with microwave and refrigerator. Best part pet friendly are room have vinyl flooring! Hotel sitsted in front of a Walmart's and Lowe's and there is a Chick-fil-A across the street. 3 laps around the big karmic g lot equaled 2.02 miles! Bed was very comfortable

iwas told this is a nice area to stop for over night on my way back to ny. I made online reservation at this best western prior to leaving. After driving i finally got to this location in the afternoon. The check in was fast and efficient and the location was spot on right off I95 exit. The room was SPOTLESS AND CLEAN>totally exceeded my expectations. i did my own cleaning and sanitizing for my well being but it was good to know they did their own. The breakfast was of course cancelled due to covid and the to go bag was provided in the morning. Not enough for me but stopped and got something more. plenty of food choices and gas right off exit. a walmart is right next door if you need anything but i got some fast food and came to hotel and just watched tv since i was on my way home to ny. area is safe and clean and will be back to this best western again.

The room has been properly disinfected. It was nice to be able to park in front of the Room so we could keep an eye on our vehicle and grab items we needed. Easy in and out with the dog. Some noise from the highway and surrounding businesses.

I enjoyed my stay at this location, which is conveniently located and very accessible to the area of surrounding businesses and restaurants, the room I stayed in was immaculately clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was Great!! The check-in and check out was done expeditiously.

With the addition of a small family dog, our hotel stays now require pet-friendly options. Driving from SW Florida to the Northeast, I had done some investigation of options in the N. Carolina area. We stopped for the night at the Best Western Lumberton and overall were very pleased. Kathy (Cathy) at check-in was super friendly and helped arrange a room at the far end of the property. This BW is a motel style with access from the outside which is actually a positive with our dog. Room smelled like it had been appropriately COVID cleaned, and the two queen beds and overall room was good size with a fridge, and desk/sitting area should you need it. Heating unit worked just great and was needed since the beds only had the top sheet and a thin blanket - big bedspreads tend to be nasty anyway, so if you stay in winter bring in your own blanket should you travel with one. This was not the Ritz, but was not expecting or paying for that! The hotel was pretty busy, but we really did not hear much of anything and by the time we got up around 8 AM most of the lot was empty. We would definitely stay at this property again on the way down or back from Florida.

Very clean and practiced good COVID precautions. Very minimal charge for pets. 1 cat and 1 small dog . This was one of the best Pet friendly hotels I have ever stayed at. Definitely will be staying here when I am in the area,

we were enroute to Florida so this is the perfect option for an overnight. Pros - clean room, park in front of your room with an outside entry. No contact with other guests (COVID plus). Cons - bathtub could use some attention. Not gross but in need of an update. Staff was great. With covid there is no hot breakfast so they give you a grab and go (apple, small muffin and a breakfast bar). It was just ok. The best feature for us was the vinyl plank flooring - since this is a pet friendly hotel it did not have smelly carpet. I would stay here again.

The room smelled awful, sheets were dirty and the AC didn't work. The staff was very friendly but honestly the overall quality of the rooms is not what you would expect in this price point. Will definitely be looking for other pet friendly options on 95.

We always stay in this hotel when driving from Florida to Pennsylvania, which we do several times a year. I like that it is walking distance to several restaurants especially Panera Bread, one of my favorites. Walmart is also right across the parking lot. Husband has trouble walking so we always request a room on the ground floor and we are always given one. Hotel is clean, and the employees are friendly. Price is excellent, too.

This is one of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed at. Renovated rooms in an older building (but we have yet to stay in a Best Western that was not an old style building). Pet friendly accommodations. Plenty of space to walk Fido. Easy on/off 95. Plenty of places to get food nearby. Walmart right across the street. There was no coffee and just a bag of snacks for breakfast, due to the Covid rules, but there is a Panera that you can walk to and a Starbucks very near. Only drawback was a dumpster pickup visit by Waste Management at 5:30 am.

The Lumberton, NC Best Western is a great stopping point if you're making the journey from Florida up the east coast. The hotel rooms are spotless and the beds are super comfortable! The hotel staff bend over backwards to make sure that you enjoy your stay !

We booked this based on the reviews because we needed to stop on our drive from Florida to Virginia. The location was conveniently near the freeway but it felt like a very unsafe area upon arrival. It was late at night when we arrived and we couldn't change the hotel at that point but it looked more like a run down motel more than a hotel and I wouldn't stay in a place like this under different circumstances. Furthermore, by the time we arrived there was no parking as there were trucks that had parked over 5 or 6 spaces. We had to park on the side of the road. When we got in the room it looked the same as the outside - old and grimey. I didn't really want to touch anything in there. There were also flying ants in the room. Left with with no alternative, we grit our teeth and laid down and tried to get a few hours sleep before we had to get back in the roads That was very hard because not only were bugs landing on us, to top it all off there were people hanging around outside the rooms drinking alcohol, talking loudly and playing music until past midnight.

The 4.5 star rating on their website fooled me. This (to me) is more of a motel than a hotel as promoted. I expected it to more like Hampton Inns or a Holiday Inn Express. If it was promoted as a motel I would have thought better of it as my expectations would have been totally different.

This overnight stop didn't disappoint. Motel had very clean, spacious rooms, and an outdoor pool (didn't use) Friendly and helpful staff. Amenities in room like mini fridge and microwave were helpful. Couch, bed, desk, linens, towels were all in top shape and comfortable. Grab and Go Pre-bagged breakfast (due to Covid19) was more than adequate and included fresh fruit which was nice. Rate was higher than other Best Westerns, with a promise of a $25 gift card rebate, which turned out to be only for Best Western. Walmart right across the parking lot and plenty of dining out (or ordering in) options available nearby.

Our overnight stay was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and made sure I received the best rate available. They advised us of meal options and how to obtain our breakfast to-go bags since COVID had closed their breakfast buffet.

Stayed there last week. Clean and comfy room. Nice staff. Pet friendly! Good location! Some issues we had some flies and mosquitoes in our room. Room very cold when we arrived. Rooms need some TLC. Paint, tub resurfacing. Breakfast to go bag. What we received had muffin with nuts and breakfast bar with seeds. Family member cannot eat either. Perhaps lay out muffins to and danishes to choose from. Other hotels do this.

I chose this hotel because of the above average reviews. I want to say that the hotel staff was very friendly and professional. I couldn't be happier with their service. I also understand my stay was at Best Western not the Four Seasons. However, I chose this hotel because I thought it would be clean and Best Western had a cleanliness guarantee. Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned well at all (see pictures). The floors in the bathroom and room overall was dirty, the kitchenette counter tops were stickey and there was clumps of hair on the ironing boad. Not to mention who knows what on the curtains. To make matters worse it smelled of mold. I would have asked to change rooms but could not as the hotel was fully booked and I was tired after driving over 12 hours and was in no mood to argue about anything. On a good note the bed was comfortable and clean and thankfully this was just an overnight stay but in all honesty I will most likely never stay here again.

Stayed overnight on our way to Virginia from Florida. Clean tile floors, cold feel but okay. Put our Do Not Disturb sign on the door to get a nice break from the road but starting 8AM we woke up to pounding on the doors around us. By 9 AM I guess the maid decided we slept long enough because she started pounding on our door. It's a shame because the check in was fast and courteous but the maids run the hotel after you check in.

I spent one night here with a reservation made directly with the hotel while driving. No problems at checkin. The room on the first floor was average, but very convenient with parking right in front of the room. My main complaint was the internet. It would not connect and the front desk implied it was a problem with Apple. The receptionist said she got the internet working on my laptop but when I got back to the room is was on some network named Kay's. It worked in the lobby but went off at the room. The breakfast was grab and go but not very good. I don't understand how the staff has no problem taking your driver's license and credit card and then handing them back to you, but they can't have a coffee maker and hand you a cup of coffee in the morning. The hotel is definitely not up to typical Best Western standards.

I don't typically write reviews, but I'm taking the time to write this one before I check out today. This is an absolutely fabulous hotel and I WILL be bookmarking this as the place to stay when I travel up & down I-95. I've stayed in hotels that were twice and even 3x the price that weren't this nice. The woman at the front desk (Claudia?) was so kind in checking me in, and even asked if I'd like 1st or 2nd floor. When I got to the room, the first thing I noticed was that it was immaculate - it actually smelled like Clorox, which I so appreciated during these Covid days! It's also huge - I had a king bed area and a sofa/ coffee table/desk area (granite tops on table, desk, and all dressers). The bathroom was sparkling clean - their housekeeping staff must be extraordinary. The whole room looks like it was newly painted. There are wood-look vinyl floors that make the whole room feel spacious and clean. The king bed (with 5 pillows) was so comfortable that I honestly didn't want to get up! The mini-fridge and microwave were in their own little recessed area (I used the fridge), and there is even a HUGE bench on which to keep an open suitcase. Within a half-hour, I actually went back up to the front desk to commend them on such a fantastic room and overall experience (and I don't typically do that, either.) This was just a random find during a long road trip, but it's a gem!

I was wary of booking a hotel during Covid-19, but this hotel was very clean and adhering to social distance guidelines. Continental breakfast was not offered but they did give a breakfast bag with water, danish, granola bar, and fruit. Pool was open but limited to 10 people. I never saw a person in it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Floor in room was laminate, I appreciate hotels without carpeting. There is space to walk your dog outside with plenty of bags and trash cans for their poop bags.

Stopped here overnight on our way to the Gulf Coast of Florida from Pennsylvania. Check-in was quick. Staff was friendly. There is plenty of food places all over and gas stations. Easy on and off of I 95. No breakfast available but did provide bag with pastry, fruit, and water.

Before booking, make sure you realize the rooms face the street, no interior corridor, like a bad motel. Very noisy and very cold reception. Clean room though but not worth the price... No hot breakfast due to COVID so we got a bag with water, cereal bar etc.

Good stop for the price. Clean and close to highway. Would stop again. Due to COVID-19 no breakfast was available, only a power bar and a bottle of water was given. I'm only continuing with this review because I have to put X number of characters in this stupid space.

The hotel is conviently located close to 95. Queen room with sofa was a perfect size. Beds and sofa were comfortable. Pergo style flooring, which is great for those wanting a pet friendly place to stay. Served an excellent hot breakfast buffet with a wide variety of offerings including Folgers Coffee. Overall, a great value!

Located within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms. We have stayed here in the past , and have always been satisfied. The location is right off of interstate 95.

I called on our way to Florida, about an hour and a half from the hotel . Got a pet friendly room which was large and clean. The morning breakfast was very nice. The staff were very professional and friendly.

We stay here every year and always satisfied. Good Breakfast was a little better than last year- acceptable. Updated rooms n good location. Surprised to see it listed as 2 star hotel. Staff friendly and engaged with this guest. WiFi wise screen o Hbo. We will continue to stop here.

need to have 24 hr. service in lobby for us people that enjoy a hot fresh coffee in the middle of the night and don't want to wake partner up ! Great stopping point on the way back from Fl. and the rooms were the best that I've seen from any B.W. Love that sofa area !

You can always count on Best Western hotels being clean, safe, and comfortable. Best Western has a range of quality properties from better than Days Inn's best to as good as Double Tree. This is why, whenever I can, I choose Best Western. Even their best hotels are a significant savings from the expensive chains. A big plus for Best Western is they are quiet. After ten hours fighting traffic, quiet is important. Noise problems are very quickly resolved. I've never had a safety issue at a Best Western. No criminals, no hazards. I have had this at another chain's hotels. Never at Best Western. I REALLY appreciate that. Go Best Western. For individual or family travel, a clean, safe, well appointed place to stay.

I have throughout the coast of the Carolinas for a location and a hotel that I could feel comfortable in. I found it. This hotel was clean, comfortable, and near so many restaurants and stores, in the event we needed anything. The only complaint I have is that there is an unusual amount of truck racing within this area. That went on until about 10:00 p.m. I fixed that by downloading a white noise app so I could fall asleep. This isn't a hotel issue, just a location issue. On the flip side, I liked the location for easy on/off the highway, and close proximity to convenient restaurants/stores.

My husband & I are snowbirds & stay in Florida for 4 months. This year we were able to get to Florida @ the beginning of December. We knew we wanted to head north to our daughter & son in laws home for Christmas. We have a 5th wheel & were planning on driving up w/ only our truck. Since we have 2 dogs we were not sure if we could find a clean motel that accepted pets. Friends of ours told us about this Best Western in Lumberton. It was clean & tidy, tiled so it was pet friendly, & quiet. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. I had scrambled eggs, bacon & yogurt. My husband went for the make your own waffles. He really enjoyed them. The staff was very friendly & informative. We especially enjoyed reading the complementary USA Today newspaper. We plan to stay here again next year!

The room and the office and grounds were quite nice until we got a neighbor who had a Pit Bull that barked at any noise. With many other dogs in this hotel, it did not take much for them all to serenade us with their barking. The breakfast was hot and enjoyable and the staff was courteous. Additionally my wife is highly allergic to pet dander, so our stay here was not very enjoyable for her.

Our room was clean and we were given a room on the bottom floor as we asked which was a plus. Check out and check in were uneventful and breakfast was served until 9:00 with the usual free breakfast items. My only complaint was that the pet policy advertised was up 2 pets per room with a $10 fee. It doesn't show on their website that it was a per pet charge. I noticed on my bill I was charged $20 when it was emailed to me. Being honest on their website with their policy would have made this a better stay in that we wouldn't have felt we were ripped off even if it was only for $10.

Property is right off the highway, walking distance to the nearby Walmart. Hotel is pet friendly with a reasonable ($10) pet charge and room (we had a king bed) was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. We will be staying again on our next drive-through on I-95.

This facility was not only clean but also had very comfortable beds. In addition to this they are pet friendly and have a nice amount of space to walk your dog along with the necessary pet waste disposal station. Staff at the front desk were very professional and helpful especially Ms. Beth.

Lobby is not open 24 hours so no coffee until 6. There is no elevator and no way to request first floor room for someone who can't do stairs. The good: everything was spotless in the rooms and lobby. Next to a Walmart super center so not quite

I was a bit worried, this hotel was located in a parking lot next to a Walmart. No fear, it was perfect for a quick stay - close to I95. Perfect stop for weary travelers. I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

This hotel is nothing fancy but it is pet friendly which is what we needed while traveling with our cat from NY to Florida. Our room (106) was large and very clean with no pet odors or any evidence that a pet had previously occupied the room. Around the corner was the office and breakfast area which provided complimentary bacon, eggs, waffles and cereal. it was a perfect place for an overnight stay if you have a pet....or if you don't.

Clean , Quiet and a pleasure to stay with. An outstanding Breakfast with a Variety of Breakfast Items that would rival Denny's or Shoney's. Mattress that would have you sleeping on cloud 9 . High Speed internet as if you were home. The Staff would have you believe they were family and go out of their way to make you feel that way. Pet Friendly with a small service charge. Located directly across from Walmart and many restaurants within walking distance.

the three C's of road travel. They had them all, plus it appeared that they have recently remodeled. The check-in and out were handled nicely. We hit the road early and can't comment on the breakfast. The bed was a little soft for my taste, I'm used to a firm mattress. It was fine for a one night stay. There are several eateries nearby with varying price marks to choose from.

Renovated room was promised and room was full of hair and bed was dirty! Bathroom was not cleaned. Yuck! Just say no to this place. The discount promised was not received.You really want this on trip advisor? Do not go to this hotel.

Traveling to NJ from Fl we chose Lumberton as a stay over location. Reviews led me to choose the Best Western and so glad I did. The front desk attendant that evening was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The room (121) was immaculate! The housekeeper who is responsible for this room deserves acknowledgement. Complimentary breakfast offered an array of hot and cold items. The attendant who maintained the area was awesome. Gray Stay!

The location was great. It was close to the interstate and a waffle house was across the street for late night food run. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as always. The bed was very comfortable

Convenient pet friendly stop off I95. Large refurbished room. Easy pet rest area right outside room with available pickup bags. Large Walmart right behind BW which was perfect for when I need to go buy a sweater for the unexpected cold spell for the drive back north. Clean, well layed out breakfast to grab in the morning. I tool 1 point off my experience because the BW did not respond to my report of the room next door door's left ajar with a light left on in the room during our entire stay (15 hrs). This situation left me uncomfortable during the night as I wondered why the door was left open and why BW wasn't interested enough to look into it. You can imagine all the reasons that ran thru my mind. If it wasn't for that all else was perfect for a stop over.

Very comfortable rooms, hotel is located within walking distance to multiple restaurants,Wal mart and convenient stores. Beth at the front desk is one of the nicest most helpful people you will ever meet!!

Cons: Check in was a little odd and front desk staff not friendly. Room ventilation system was horrible. Sooooooooo noisy we had a hard time sleeping. Pros: Right off the highway, with restaurants and Walmart next door. Hotel was clean and property was well kept. Outside rooms so that made it very convenient to get into and out of room from vehicle. Breakfast was great, lots of fresh choices and stocked very well. Would stay here again, if I could get another room with better ventilation.

We needed a place to stay on our trip home from a Disney cruise. We were very happy with this hotel's location and our overall experience. The only downside was that we could hear several large trucks pulling in and out of the Walmart parking lot next door. But the room was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the price was amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

this is a nice place and very close to many places to eat. wal-mart right there. was going there before they remodeled, after the hurricane last year. This year I notice that the room I was in was in need of some repair, but overall this is a great place to stay. Only wish they served real eggs for breakfast.

Traveled to Lumberton NC From Chesapeake VA for a funeral the rooms were very average compared to other Best Westerns I've stayed at in the past. Not worth the money they were charging for there weekend rate.

decides to pick this bw due to the rates and the location, showed up around 8 and was pleasantly greeted and was given my key to the room very quickly. the room was very clean and had everything we needed for the one night stay.

After 14 hrs of driving decided to stop at this Best Western. We had never stayed at a Best Western but we were too tired to travel further. The booking process great, gentleman taking care of us awesome. Room was very clean and beds very comfortable. The desk clerk gave us a list of local Restuarants and gave us his favorite choice. Good eats. Would stay here again. Also signed up for their advantage program

This hotel is definitely a place I will stay again. Its clean, safe and affordable. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. It is located in close proximity to I95, making it easy to locate. Would recommend for families, couples or solo.

First off the room had new flooring , wood laminates, just makes a cleaner environment. The sink vanity area also updated, the refrigerator was clean & quiet the air conditioner also quiet. The room was already at a nice temp when we arrived, most places the air is off. The walls & trim freshly painted in Neutral tones. The bed had an assortment of pillows and provided a comfortable restful nights sleep

Stayed here 2 times in the same month in a King suite. Hardwood floors were nice instead of carpet. Bring dishes and silverware if you're staying in a suite because although you have a sink and counter space and all that, you have NO dishes of any kind. None, ZERO. Bed was comfortable. Not hard but to overly soft. Furniture slight worn but it looks more like the cleaning people beating it up because the damage is at the bottom near the floor. Biggest problem. NO WIFI. Yes I know. They advertise free Wifi but we stayed there on October 10th and 16th and neither time, even after reporting it, did the Wifi function. Sucks when your only devices are just Wifi capable.

This is a nice spot to stop at. Hotel is clean. Plenty of hot water. Rooms smell great. Lots of pillows too. Very nice hot breakfast, this place won't disappoint for a quick stay. Love the location to restaurants and retail. Loved that they offered the WSJ too. Class Act.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at on 95. Rooms have been remodeled and are very clean. Very nice staff. Hotel is surrounded by many places too eat. Very dog friendly and rooms to not smell like wet dogs. Great place to stay!

This is a comfortable motel. Not fancy, just nice finishes to an older hotel. But it's clean, quiet and reasonably priced. Total invoice was around $100. Bed was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly but not gregarious.

Room reeked of cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. Shower rod broken from wall, to unable to regulate the air conditioning, some device over the door flashed throughout the night. Upon leaving to check out I was "greeted" at the door with a loose growling dog that started to lunge. Fortunately my reflexes were quick and slammed the door on it. The front desk clerk's reaction to my issues was surprisingly unsurprised. She identified the dog so this apparently was not an isolated incident.

Hotel is super pet friendly, the staff was friendly, professional, accommodating. These room was spotless and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels, this was a big surprise! Great value!

We have stayed at this hotel many times but will most likely not stay here again. There's plenty of other places nearby. The desk clerk would not give us an advertised rate (she said they were all "gone" even though it was only 3:00 pm). We've always received the discounted price in the past, no questions asked. We had issues with the room key and the AC was ridiculously loud. The rooms are old but clean and the breakfast is good. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid.

Was in town to visit family. I'm very apprehensive about staying in hotels/motels due to cleanliness and bugs. I did a bed check in my room and found evidence of a bug issue. Went to the lobby and they were so nice and gave me a new room immediately. That room was fine. Pretty clean, spacious and quiet. Staff is very friendly and the pool is nice. A lot of people stay for a night or two because it was packed which is a good sign. If in Lumberton, I'd reccomend!

Second time here, another great experience. This is a 2 story hotel, so quieter rooms are on the 2nd floor. Only issue was water temp in shower was hard to control between cold and hot. Good breakfast area.

Great stay for our road trip. Booked directly with hotel on return to get better rate and same room. Outside looks a little less than pristine, but the rooms have been renovated and are up to par. We traveled with a small dog and it was nice to have a clean room. No carpet which is even better. small fridge, microwave, coffee, exceptional toiletries. Towels wonderful and beds comfortable. Nice work station. Plenty in the area to shop and eat if needed. From good fast food to sit down dining. Lowes/Walmart within walking distance. Would stay again.

Chose this Best Western as our half way point from Boca. Hotel staff was very friendly helpful and made sure everything was fine. Rooms are good, clean and recently updated. A lot of food choices are close. Breakfast was included as ne was fine. I recommend it. I normally stay at Hampton Inn but with tax is now $160.+. We'll be back.

Positives: friendly front desk staff, clean room, very (!) comfortable bed and pillows, well-maintained breakfast bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, and D-I-Y waffles as the hot entree items, outdoor pool (towels at the front desk), good WiFi signal in rooms, convenient to many (!!) places to eat, close to I-95. WalMart and Lowes are a short walk. Not a five-star rating because of outdoor entry to rooms, narrow steps (no elevator) to second floor, some of the steps to the second floor have crumbling concrete, noisy guests outside our room at 11 p.m., highway noise off I-95, no exhaust fan in bathroom, no continuous run setting on room fan to drown out the "neighbors."

We stay at this BW because it is pet friendly and is the half-way point of our destination when we travel. There are many restaurants close by and it is right off the interchange. Downside is, because it is pet friendly, we have experienced clean linen, beds but dirty floors.

There was no rug on the floor—my preference. Attractive room on first floor by pool. We were not charged extra to be on first floor. Room was clean. Breakfast was very good offering gluten free, dairy free and lactose free items and homemade oatmeal. Pool was highly chlorinated and very warm-not refreshing We would stay here again.

Wow, what a treat to see that the Best Western now has wood type floors in their guest rooms! So very much cleaner than the carpets in other motels. I didn't feel like I had to keep my shoes on all the time! The room was very comfortable with extra space that included a sofa and table. Rate was terrific too! The pool was very clean too!!

When traveling north or south on I-95 to or from Florida with my dog we always stay at this best western in Lumberton! Clean, friendly, and a great location! Always accommodate my request for ground floor and Walmart Side!

It provided a good value for money. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. It was near walmart and there were plenty options for food nearby. The staff were friendly. I just stayed for one night and was satisfied with the stay.

Friendly staff, no bugs, no rift raft people hanging out around facility. Located within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Overall nice condition for a standard hotel. I would recommend this above all of the other hotels nearby especially if you like the outdoor style hotel that you have access to your room without having to first go throws lobby etc every time you come and go

We stayed over on the way to Florida. Rooms were clean and good for a 1 night stay. Only thing I didn't know when I booked this hotel it is pet friendly. Room was clean and no problems.Stayed over also on the way back from Florida to home in PA. First time we got a first floor room but second time only second floor was available. That made it a bit difficult with having to take luggage and belongings up the steps. Wish there had been an elevator. All in all it was a comfortable place to stay and clean.

Very clean and spacious hotel. My family and I were traveling up I-95, and needed some place to stay for the night. They were able to accommodate us, for a very reasonable price. Pets were only $10, and breakfast (which was included) was pretty good. It included the typical continental items, but there was also bacon, sausage, and eggs. I've paid more at "4 and 5 star hotels", and received a lot less. I would pick this Best Western over those any day! Keep up the good work!

The staff was very nice, but when the upstairs toilet backed up into my room at 3 am Saturday morning, the only person on duty was not physically able to climb stairs so I had the privilege of plunging and cleaning up the backwash. Also, the microwave that was in the room when we arrived did not work, which they replaced in a timely manner, but the door on the second microwave did not close properly and required a little maneuvering to close it so it would work.

Room was really clean, staff was friendly and super accommodating. Love the laminate floors over carpeting typically in most hotels. Ample parking for our camper. Would recommend to any and everyone to stay here. Very very pleased. Also, pet friendly which was hard to find in the immediate area.

As advertised. Clean, large, comfortable beds and room. Competitively priced. Right off exit 22. You can hear traffic on 95, but that is probably the same for all hotels along the 95 service road corridor. No elevator to second floor, steps and hall are outside of building, motel style.

I go up & down the East Coast twice a year between MA & FL. I discovered BW as great dog friendly properties. The Lumberton property is one of my favorites! It's always clean And there Is a good variety of restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel. Easy on & off too.

Would only stay here again if nothing else is available. Staff was very nice and it was very quiet and close to several restaurants but bug infestation was simply terrible. I can not recommend this hotel.

Rooms are very organized. Bedroom and bathroom floors clean. Non smoking free uphold. Laundry machines on the floor I stayed. It's not a full kitchen but the appliances are in very good working condition. Odor free. Housekeeping excellent. Overall Excellent place to stay and relax if you need to stay in. Near to attractions. Pool looks very clean although I did not use it but I walk by.

I've stayed at at this property multiple times. The location is convenient to restaurants, Walmart, and Lowe's. All in easy walking distance, with that being said, it is a little noisy and traffic can be heavy at times. I think rooms on the north side are quieter. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, everything works as it should. Big flat screen tv with a good channel selection. Breakfast is the standard motel fare. Hot and cold choices, attentive staff keeps the area clean and well stocked.

We spent the night here on a return trip to Virginia from Tampa. It is one of the nicest interstate hotels we've ever encountered. There was a large, lovely room and a satisfying breakfast with GOOD coffee! While checking out we decided to join the Best Western rewards program. The staff were nice, local people.

This was my first time visiting this particular Best Western and I was pleasantly surprised. Each year I travel back and forth to Florida with three cats and you can imagine some of the places I have stayed. Many places will not accept pets and those that do usually put you in a room that is less than what you would like. This room was clean, included a sitting area, and best of all had beds with a base that cats could not get under! It was a very pleasant experience I will certainly stay here again on my next trip. In addition, there are several nearby restaurants for everyone's taste. Good job Best Western Lumberton!

Hotel was nice and clean. Was surprised to see that it is really at Motel. But in the long run it was very convenient for parking right in front of the room. Front staff was nice and friendly. Would stay again.

The staff did not know this....I DROVE ALL DAY FROM ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA TO LUMBERTON AND HAD A VERY PLEASANT AND RESTFUL NIGHT. I WAS GREATFULL.

A decent place, but overpriced. Have stayed numerous times and the same issues with water pressure, the tub not draining properly, and bad/slow internet connection. The upside is the availability of early check in instead of having to wait around half a day!

Everything was perfect. We did it again and got two properties in nearby cities confused while planning one of our frequent trips up and down the eastern seaboard. So glad we did and ended up here. This motel (not hotel) was perfect for our special needs. It was clean with a fresh smell, the perfect size room with sofa bed instead of a chair, huge TV, remodeled with a spacious & safe bathroom laid out for the mobility impaired. Comfortable bed & pillows with the linens we prefer. While very close to I-95 and a Walmart, the room and AC/heat were quiet. Nice choices for breakfast.

room was clean front desk clerk very helpful in locating a place to eat. lots of local fast food and restaurants easy on off the highway . this is an older hotel no inside halls all doors facing outside. With this said we felt very safe and little noise.

No frills hotel that is pet friendly. Clean room, very comfortable king bed. We stayed upstairs in 208 facing walmart parking lot. Can get a little noisy because R. V.'S AND tractor trailers park in the Wal-Mart lot. We returned the a.c. fan on high and had no issues. Staff very friendly and helpful. This was our 3rd visit in 3 years. Highly recommend. Also, veterans discount if you ask and qualify

Exterior of hotel looked new or newly renovated. Room was very clean and fresh. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was super clean with a nice selection of food including bacon, eggs, sausage, various breads and waffles. We will definitely stay at this location again.

The hotel is well situated off I95 and the condition of the entire facility was very good. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was also very good. We've stayed here for the past few years, on our trip back north, and always had king bed rooms. This year we had queen beds and the room seemed bigger than the king bed rooms. Also, my main complaint is that the entrance from the local road is not well marked and it was confusing.

We were pleasantly surprised by the room. A large comfortable bed and pillows. A couch and desk. It was perfect stop while traveling from Florida to visit our son in Virginia. We were able to bring our small dog as we traveled. Breakfast was just basic but staff very friendly. Chick Fil A across the street and Starbucks!

The wake-up calls got me up and going to begin my work day in the public schools. Gloria, in the kitchen, prepared the best breakfast of any of the hotels where I have stayed. She had a big smile and was very friendly. I have stayed in this hotel the past four or five years and would recommend it because of the reasonable rates, convenient location to restaurants, and friendly staff. There is a Starbucks and Chic Fil A just across the road from the hotel. Best wishes to all. Guy

The people at the hotel were very nice and the room was very clean. The big problem was the noise from the trucks and the garbage pick up very early in the morning (around 5AM) for the shops at the shopping center it is in. Could not sleep. If I can find a different hotel that is a pet friendly, I will stay there instead. Sorry to have to give it such a poor review but the noise was awful.

We stayed one night at the Best Western in Lumberton. We were originally planning to camp, but the forecast was heavy rain, so got a dog friendly hotel. It was Alex's first hotel stay and he enjoyed the king size bed. Front desk staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean and nice for a motel. Showers and bathrooms were clean, plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable (for humans and dogs). They also had a very nice breakfast in the morning, with eggs, bacon, continental items and make-your-own waffles. Location is very convenient, right off I-95 and plenty of restaurants and shopping in the immediate vicinity. Would definitely stay here again if looking for a dog-friendly hotel.

Very clean and comfortable room, friendly front desk staff, good breakfast, easy access to I95, variety of nearby restaurants, reasonable rates, and pet friendly! The individual rooms open onto the parking lot (the old motel concept now rare in nicer hotels) which is very convenient when traveling with pets. We were very satisfied with our one night stay and will use this hotel again.

The location is excellent just off i95. Fast check in with very helpful staff. The Well appointed room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with in house bacon, sausage, eggs and cereal. The coffee was good quality, hot and fresh. I would definitely stay there again!

Very helpful desk clerk named Amanda greeted us . This property needs a computer update. We had stayed at a Best Western in Richmond, Va just 6 days earlier. they gave us our free night right at the desk. This location requires the customer to call corporate!! We stay at Best Westerns frequently and were disappointed. Unfortunately, this piece of property is like a wedge...it fronts a main road, it backs to a Loews and Walmart, there are two side streets for cut throughs on each side and tractor trailers park out back. The noise from 95 is like outside your window. It is not the hotel's fault, but it is not that quiet. There was plastic over wood framing in the dining area. that needs to be fixed. The rooms have nice variegated granite on the tv stand, the microwave stand, the coffee table and the sink area...HOWEVER, it shows no dirt. When I spilled a little lemonade and went to wipe it up, my paper towel was brown. I then could see rings and dirt as I wiped.The tub was a new insert and had a nice rounded shower curtain. However, we did not sleep well here and would go elsewhere due to the truck traffic.If you're a very sound sleeper ..try it!!

We stayed off of 95 for the wide option of food and places to stay the night. We have stayed with BW before and liked it. This was the first we brought our cat. The cat liked the room how ever the ride here was a nother story. The room was clean and did not smell like dog. The pool was closed and the breakfast was good.

Great value at this hotel. The small breakfast area was very well stocked, even had almond milk for cereal. Rooms had outside access and they had a small pool. Several restaurants are within walking distance

Clean room — that is the usually the first thing I look for in a review and this location won't disappoint. Although I travel with my 8 lb dog I always worry “pet friendly “ hotels won't qualify but previous reviews led me to give this Best Western a try. Beds are comfortable and I was glad to witness housekeeping not only changing sheets but also blankets in their daily duties. Be aware rooms are entered through exterior doors. Breakfast was basics but the sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs were a good start for the long day's drive. Amanda, who was at the front desk was very courteous and friendly, as was the breakfast attendant.

We arrived tired and hungry. Amanda got us our rooms in short order checked in. Our room was nice and clean and more spacious than expected. Nice big screen tv. Breakfast was very good. I had a waffle and bacon. We will be back.

We have stayed here before but this room stood out as especially nice. Nice decor, no unpleasant smells and quiet. Nice room at a very good rate. Convenient location right off I95. Would definitely stay here again!

I travel for business and have found the best stay at a BW. The price, comfort and total experience has been perfect. I'm a member of the BW Rewards program and can get a better rate than other discount programs (AARP, AAA Club).

The beds were SUPER comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast area was clean and food was good. But for the price, I was disappointed. This is a MOTEL, drive up to your room. While the rooms inside area NICELY remodeled and updated - the old door is rough looking, locks were finicky, concrete sidewalks cracked and uneven. The outside is still a rough looking place and I was surprised by the price for the sight from the outside. But I will recommend it as a clean comfortable place to stay if you can get it for under $70 or $80 a night. As an overnight stop, not a vacation destination.

Homeward bound from FL to Canada, this BW was a very convenient stopping point. Tried booking a BW in Harrib org to be told it was fully booked but was the only BW in the area!!?? Cordial welcome in Lumberton, restaurants close by and a discount coupon in one of the eateries which we used - all restaurants were in walking distance!

Lady who checked us in at 2:30 am couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Room was clean and as advertised-dog friendly, convenient location. We were too tired to get up for early breakfast so can't comment on that. But, can say grateful we were allowed late checkout (12:00). Would def stay here again.

We are not smokers and were charged $150.00 for smoking in the room. Breakfast was only average at best. We were in an accessible room. Upon arrival I checked the seat provided for the shower. It was broken and unsafe. I called the desk and was told they would put in a ticket to maintenance. That was the last I heard of it.

One month after Hurricane Florance dumped thousands of gallons of water onto this small tiown, Best Western was almost 100% on par. The room and the breakfast area we clean and comfortable. Great breakfast and tedious cleaning crew!

This is a reasonably priced hotel with the usual amenities (hair dryer, in-room coffee, etc.). Very convenient to I-95. My room was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. Heat and A/C worked fine. Breakfast featured many options, including eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, breads and waffles, along with milk, juice and coffee. Staff is great and goes out of their way to help you with whatever you need. There are plenty of dining options nearby, plus a gas station and WalMart just a block away. Very satisfied with my stay, and will use this hotel again when I'm in the Lumberton area. My only complaint is that it wasn't obvious from the website that this hotel has outside room entry, and no elevator (it was hard to drag my suitcase up all of those stairs), but the quality of the stay more than compensated for that.

Did not seem like a typical BW. No elevator to second floor. Full breakfast was good. Room clean with a nice couch for sitting to watch TV. Just off 95 so convenient. Nothing outstanding about staff but also nothing negative.

This hotel is in good need of a major investment. The lobby had leaking ceiling, rooms were clean but barely, and the overall experience around the hotel was shady at best. We had a few bites of their free breakfast and quickly opted to grab something in a nearby restaurant instead. Overall a disappointing experience.

Three main issues would prevent me from recommending a stay at this property. The room reeked of marijuana as soon as the door was opened. I'm not talking about a slight lingering odor, I'm talking a smell strong enough to curl your nose hair. The front desk's only solution was to spray Febreze on the carpet. We immediately left for dinner hoping the Febreze would miraculously cure the issue, but upon our return the odor was just as strong. Also, the AC unit wasn't functioning right, the shower wouldn't drain, and the room was generally not clean.

My wife and I had to evacuate the NC coast due to hurricane Florence. Even though their homes were in peril with the flooding the motel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. If you need a stay when traveling they are the best. Right off exit 22 of I 95. God Bless all who helped us and I hope you are recovering. Thank you for being so helpful.

The folks here are wonderful. We ran from hurricane last Thursday and were so lucky to stay here. Staff were outstanding and they went out of their way to accommodate us even though THEY were having to deal with their homes being threatened. Fed us each morning and cared for us constantly Just off exit 22 of I 95. High Ground no flooding great people. You won't be disappointed and their coffee is excellent

My room was wonderful. The pool was excellent. The staff was incredible. The bed was crazy comfy and the room was spotless. I honestly have never experienced such kind, attentive, helpful staff. I would recommend this establishment to everyone, even the most discriminating of guests. This is truly a diamond in the very rough!

We stayed at the Best Western in Lumberton on our wat to Outer Banks. The room was clean. Many restaurants nearby some you can walk to. We were able to stay with our dog. There is a grassy area to walk pets with dog waste bags available.

We have been using this Best Western as the midpoint of our drive from NYC to Tampa for a few years now. Always been a good choice until this trip when we received a room on the side of the hotel opposite the pool. There is a road adjacent to the rooms where it appears that tractor trailers are permitted to park. Not bad until they run the truck engine all night. The rooms are not soundproofed sufficiently to block the noise. Very annoying all night long. Breakfast was fine, staff friendly.

Chose this pet friendly hotel as a quick overnight stop on way back to Florida. Room was clean and did not contain any past pet smells. Good price. Plenty of grassy area to walk dog. Conveniently located within walking distance of Panera Bread so easy to manage dog and grab something to eat which can be a little tricky to do as a solo traveler with a dog.

This is a pet friendly hotel. It was very nice and clean. The rooms are large and the breakfast was very good. The woman who managed the breakfast area did a great job of keeping the breakfast area well supplied. The pool area was nice. This was easy to get to from 95 on our way to Hilton Head. I really recommend this hotel.

My cat loves to stay at this hotel. I have stayed at other pet hotels and I can not get him to calm down. He gets very cozy when ever I stay at this hotel which makes it easy for me to relax and rest.

Received a warm welcome which was much appreciated after a long day of driving. The room appeared to have been remodeled recently, was clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows. There was a fridge and microwave and a TV that was at least 55in.The area was nicer than a lot of the similar, close to the interstate, hotels. Would return if in the area again

This was a very friendly, clean, comfortable place to stay after a long day driving. It is not fancy, but has everything you need. Located in an area of shopping, it was nice to be able to walk to Panera's for supper and even over to WalMart to pick up a couple of items. We did not have a reservation but the staff didn't blink and and easily found us a room. We are BW Rewards members and they thanked us several times for being part of the program. The free breakfast is pretty standard, but it was nice to have it it ready and waiting before we hit the road again.

I reserved room on book.com. the room was very nice and the lady at the desk was very pleasant. She gave use directions as to where to get food because we checked in at about 9:30pm. I will stay here again. As far as the negativity, there must be some very negative guest. I found that the reviews were not what I experienced. Very nice establishment . Very clean.

I had a very nice stay at the Best Western in Lumberton. I'll be working nearby and was thinking I'd like to stay at this place again. Sadly, it's just a little too far to commute after a 12 hour work day... but I thought about it! And of course, anytime you have a breakfast that includes bacon AND sausage... you can't go wrong!

I'm not really sure what Attractions are around there, Were just passing through, but it was a nice place. Plenty of places to eat and a few places to shop if you need anything. Everyone in the area was nice.

Stayed here on my way home from a family visit. Night staff, Amanda, was sweet and helpful. The room was clean and remarkably quiet - I don't usually like hotels where rooms open to the outside but I was too tired to notice when I booked it on-line from a rest stop. The checkout staff was equally nice. I didn't eat the included breakfast due to wanting to get back on the road early, but it looked nice.

We checked in late and all went smoothly thanks to April on duty. We didn't have to ask her anything as she covers everything in her “presentation”. This is a motel style place and everything looked remodeled and definitely with upgrades. Our room was large, very clean and quiet. We really appreciated the large nightstand with granite top. Everything we need at hand fit with room to spare! Price was really good too at a $100. We would certainly not hesitate to stay here again while traveling on I-95. Secure WiFi was excellent!!

I like that on the first floor, you can pull your car right up next to your room which comes in handy if you have a lot of luggage. We used the pool to get some sun but the water looked a bit murky but I saw kids swimming in it and if ours were small we probably would have let them swim to burn off some energy. There are not a lot of good restaurants nearby unless you want basic chains so we drove a few miles down the road and had Thai/Sushi food. The TV's were hard to figure out what channels to use. The beds were comfortable. There are no freezers in the fridges. We had frozen food for our trip that we want to put in there but could not. This was a convenient spot to stay at on our way down from Maryland to Oak Island NC. We would stay here again. The staff was friendly and the breakfasts were basic and fine. I used my Best Western $10 off discount travel coupon and it worked here.

We chose this hotel because we needed a place that was pet friendly. When we arrived and discovered that the doors open to the outside directly into the parking lot, I admit I was skeptical. But we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet the hotel was, especially considering that it seemed everyone there had a pet! I didn't hear a peep from anyone. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was better than I have had at more expensive hotel chains.

Very disappointing - there was quite a bit of road noise and room was dark and depressing. Only saving grace is that they accept pets and there is plenty of space for walking them. Fast food and shopping is close by.

If you're not looking for luxury but a warm and inviting place where the staff welcome you with open arms and are attentive with that southern hospitality. It's nice to have your pets welcome as well and the grounds have dog waste stations with bags to make it even more convenient. It's an easy on easy off Highway stop and we stayed in our usual room and the air conditioning was so cold I thought the carpet was wet. My suggestion here is I will say the coffee is way too weak in the morning and for travelers like us a real good cup of coffee in the morning is Paramount to a good stay as much as a comfortable bed in a place to just stop off easy with a pet. If you could improve your coffee and have some extra blankets for us snowbirds that are used to our nice warm Florida weather that would just improve things so dramatically and be so simple. A little aside we forgot a microwave heat bag for the back at our room unfortunately we have to wait until October to get it unless we send a prepaid box so crossing my fingers it'll still be there for us in October. Another nice touch of this hotel is that the day of your arrival they call just to confirm that you will be arriving and around what time so that's awfully nice for people like me that might forget in the hustle and bustle of packing a car. All in all a very decent place to stop and very very convenient.

I was not given a pleasant welcome by April. The room was clean, the A/C did not work and it was very hot. The bathtub bottom was dirty and the curtain had awful smell. Breakfast was very good. I did not like the fact that the entrances to the rooms are through the outside.

Older hotel that was very recently updated. Everything was clean and we'll kept. Staff is very friendly and checking and checkout were quick. Rooms were very good size for the price. Pets are welcome at a small fee. I would stay here again with or without pets. Noise was not an issue even with outside doors. I prefer outside opening doors when traveling with pets.

The Best Western in Lumberton, NC offers a comfortable respite from the speed of Interstate 95. This is a pet friendly motel that presented a comfortable room, though the carpet needed a good cleaning, all else was clean. The service was friendly as well as efficient. It was a nice hotel. Standard eggs and meat breakfast. Decent bed and affordable price. But no elevator for access to the second floor rooms and all rooms had only access from the parking lot. There was no inside hall.

We stopped here for a few hours to get some rest so it was a very quick stop for us. The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly spacious and clean. The light in the bathroom was disgusting but other than that, no major complaints. Easy access to the highway.

I got all the help needed from the check-in employee. She offered me the Gold Member upgrade without me asking for it. Check-in was fast and the room was great. I will return in my next trip there for sure. If you use the hotels coupons, make sure you arrive early, as the coupons are good only before 50% of rooms are rented.

Family of 5 travelling with our dog from NJ to FLA and stayed one night to break up the drive. The room was immaculate! You could not tell it was a pet friendly room! I thought they made a mistake! Location is perfect for long drivers looking for a break. Lots of food options within walking distance and a Walmart if you forgot or ran out of the necessities. I am looking forward to staying here again as I do this drive annually. If I'm being picky, breakfast was awesome but their yogurt fridge was not well stocked.

We had previously stayed at this Best Western before, but I will NEVER stay there again. Here's why, we were recently traveling back from Florida and we had booked two rooms. When we got there it was later in the day, around 7:30 p.m. We check in and realize our room would not lock! Well by this time of the day the hotel was booked, so they couldn't move us to another room. The lady at the front desk was very nice and tried to do everything to help. What gets me though is that they had no way of fixing the lock, no maintenance around or close?! To me this seems unacceptable and for Best Western to put all this on one person at the front desk seems completely unbelievable. She gave us a refund and luckily we were able to get a place at Holiday Inn. I think Best Western should have offered me some points since I am a BW member, especially after traveling with an elderly person we had with us and having to be completely inconvenienced trying to scramble on a holiday weekend to find something else! We will not be back to the Lumberton location. Plus I'm a huge fan of hotels that welcome pets, and they do. So just be advised if you have allergies.

Stayed here after 12 hour drive from FL. Made reservation 2 weeks in advance because it's Easter week. Check in easy and desk clerk, Adrianna, delightful and helpful! Requested ground floor because traveling with our dog. Room 121 was clean, spacious, and the bed was super comfy! Room had love seat, micro, fridge; everything worked great. Plenty of hot water, nice, tall, shower head (I'm tall, that's important to me). Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Room was a little dated but not an issue for us. Be aware there is a $10 charge per night for dog. Will put this on my list to stay next year.

When I checked out at 06:00, the doors to the lobby where locked so I could not get coffee. The attendant would not let me in although I was a guest. I understand the security behind this, but a guest just wanting a cup of coffee before he/she hits the road is over kill in my book. It makes the guest feel unwelcome!!!!

My son is in a wheelchair so we booked the room based on the website boasting full accessibility for wheelchairs. When we tried to check in, we were given a second floor room only to find THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. This was NEVER mentioned on the site. The front desk clerk, APRIL, was very defiant that it was our mistake for not checking and she refused to call the manager for us. She dramatically cancelled our reservation but refused us a refund. I immediately called customer service for Best Western which was CLOSED. 9:00 at night and my family had no where to go. Comfort Inn two exits down was accommodating and amazing with a great breakfast. Best Western - NEVER AGAIN!

Whenever we are in town we stay at this hotel. Staff is the most friendly and helpful. This it the third time we stayed at this hotel in the past year. Although just a bit expensive, its worth the money. Safe location and reliable, friendly staff.

The hotel is easily seen from the interstate highway. There are numerous places to eat with a variety of menus. There was plenty of good parking which was well lighted and secure. The breakfast provided was hot and plentiful.

Our family stayed here for one night while passing through from Florida to New Hampshire. Our flight was cancelled and we had driven all day with two very bored children. This hotel was perfect. The price was great, the room was spotless, and the beds were comfortable. We actually enjoyed this room better than the one we stayed it while vacationing in Florida. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend and stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and has an excellent breakfast. The rooms have large comfortable beds along with a desk, love seat, mini fridge and microwave. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. The internet was quite strong in our rooms. The hotel is just off the I-95 and is surrounded by restaurants and stores (Walmart, Lowe's). The only disappointing thing is that they only take coupons if they are at less than 50% capacity.

On our way down to Daytona stayed here after checking out reviews. Very close to the highway, quick check in, and a very nice clean room. The bed was very comfy and enjoyed the shower. For a road trip hotel stay it was great, I would return.

We stopped here overnight on the way to Florida with our dog. It was clean and comfortable. We took a ground floor room to make the dog walking easier - I think the upstairs rooms may be a little more updated, however our room was a good size, had a comfortable bed and working fridge and microwave. Everything was clean and functional. Breakfast was as expected, nothing special but fine for a quick start to the day. Service there and at reception was pleasant and professional.

I picked this because it was rated high by Trip Advisor and historically I have found BW to be good. This was a good hotel and the staff were great. My disappointment is that the gym was not on site and the wifi was weak.

Nice comfy place. Big room with a queen bed. Walls look freshly painted, clean overall. We were in a dog friendly room. ($10 More). Sitting area is a plus. Sofa is a nice feature, split wall between sofa and bed provides separation between bed and sitting area. Heater ran very quietly, another plus. Bed is comfy, made for a good nights sleep. Carpeted. Fresh juice for breakfast that was otherwise fair. I liked it and would definitely stay again.

Convenient, comfortable, clean, newly renovated... Very nice stay (and I dislike outside rooms.) Snow storm the night of our stay and super convenient to have the SUV right outside the door to warm up and de-ice/snow. Absolutely would stay again.

Just stayed over night. Nice property. Outdoor pool. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and Walwart. Breakfast wasn't that great. Maybe the Breakfast Lady was off her game. They were out of juice and only a couple overdone or done over sausage patties and that was at 8:30. Then again it was New Years day. We would stay there again.

This was a very nice area to stopover on a trip South or North. There are a number of chain restaurants near the Best Western and across the street is a Wal-Mart for all your other purchases. Had a good night sleep at this Best Western.

I checked in at 10:40 pm. As I went to go into the lobby the doors were locked. They have a small window that you have to check in by. Now that is a first for me. I felt like I was at a gas station and was going to be robbed. Our room was on the side opposite side of Walmart but was told that we could not park on that side because the lot was full and had to park on the Walmart side. It is a 24 hour Walmart so it was quite alot of activity and a cop show to go along with my stay. The room is ok and they do take dogs. I hope the breakfast is good with a good cup of coffee to go along with it. By the way that 89.00 dollar value go up to a total of 142 with tax and a dog. They also would not take any coupons.

Stayed on our way to Florida for the winter - needed pet friendly motel - the room was clean and you could not tell it accommodated pets - check in was easy - breakfast was typical - we reserved by phone when we were about two hours away- we didn't get the AAA discount with the phone reservation but the manager gave us the discount anyway - will definitely stay there again on our trip back north

Excellent place esp for the money of 89.00 dollars. Dog friendly for an extra 10.00 dollars but that is the cheapest i have been quoted any place i have been. Clean has easy chair or love seat in room. and a computer chair. maybe more soap and shampoo but it surficed. I would go back again.

Stayed one night, friendly staff, clean lobby, quite. We were upgraded to a King suite which was roomy. Efficient and generous breakfast, and close to other eating places like Panera's and Outback. Next to a 24 Hour WALMART and close to Sam's Club. Gas stations also, which make this place a nice stopover while traveling along I-95.

We were traveling north to visit friends and stayed here both on our way going and on our way returning . It is an older hotel but has been refurbished . We found the rooms very clean and comfortable . We enjoy the convenience of being able to park right in front of our room. The location is great.. several restaurants very near by including OutBack, Panera,Smithfield barbecue, etc . Front desk very friendly and efficient . This hotel is also pet friendly and only charges ten dollars for dogs. We will definitely make this hotel our place to stay when visiting friends and family .

A clean, neat and affordable hotel. Our first stop at a Best Western Hotel and we were not disappointed. The room was tastefully appointed, clean and comfortable. The separate area for grooming was great as two people could use it at the same time.

The rooms are recently renovated and very comfortable. The breakkfast was average for this hotel level. On the minus side, the hotel sits alongside a busy road and traffice noise was high until about 11 p.m. As well, the hotel is in the "old fashioned" style with all rooms opening to the outside. I found this to be a concern from a safety point of view as the hotel also faces a WalMart and Lowe's.

I have never stayed at a Best Western that didn't have inside doors. As a female traveling alone, I NEVER stay at motels - only hotels..... VERY Disappointed at the false advertising (you can't tell from the photo that there are outside doors)....

When traveling we always try to stay at a Best Western as most of them allow pets. We have stayed at this location several times when we travel between Florida and Virginia. Good location and close to many restaurants.

We have stayed here before. It appears newly remolded. Very clean , nice staff, accept dogs. Halfway point to Florida for us from New Jersey. We plan to stay here when we travel south. This is an older motel with only two floors. No noise to speak of. I like being able to park our car outside our room. When you are a senior it is much easier to move luggage. Beds are so so.

I chose this hotel based on reviews to stop at on our way from Florida to Maryland. A great pet friendly hotel! It was located near lots of places to eat. The room was very nice and comfortable. It even had a nice sitting area. The breakfast was one of the best we have had traveling up and down Rt. 95. The staff were very nice and helpful. We will definitely be staying here from now on! I would highly recommended this hotel for anyone to stay at!

Have stayed there before and everytime it seems be get better. The lobby is so clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was very clean, the carpet was just shampooed and the bed was so comfortable. This is a definite 5 star hotel.

Our room was to be a NO smoking. They upgraded our room to a suite. But it was previously a smoking room. Guess what. That smell did not go away. My hubby has to use an inhaler. Fortunately, nothing happened. No one at the desk either day offered to move us into a NON smoked in room. The bed was comfortable. The location was great for us, tons of room in this suite. There is NO elevator!! Outside entry to rooms & stairs outside. Overall it was quiet we were on the end though.

This hotel was perfect for what I wanted a clean reasonable place that allowed pets. The staff was friendly and helpful. While located a short distance to I-95 noise was not an issue. Plus the room had a king size bed and a couch.

Was on a business trip and went thru some of the reviews and decided to give it a shot, stayed there 2 nights, all staff very nice, room was nice, and per some of the reviews restaurants within walking distance and yes a Walmart next door for snacks or anything you may need, we stayed on the 1st floor, was pretty quiet, room clean which is all we ask for, young lady that cleaned our room was super nice and made sure it was perfection! Bed was great, easy off and on from I-95, breakfast was good, lady that was taking care of it was super nice also, if we are back this way will stay there again!!

So easy to get on and off from I-95. Many restaurants are in walking distance including a Walmart for food or forgotten items if you wish. The room was larger than normal. The bed was so comfortable...not too hard or too soft. I will be returning to this hotel in the future.

While I had not been there before, I could tell things looked new and fresh. This was a pet friendly facility for a $10 fee. There were also handicap ramps and a lift seat at the pool. No laundry facilities. Our non smoking room on the second floor had a microwave, fridge, all the usual blow dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker and product. A well written notice in the room explains that if you decide to take any of these or other amenities home without purchasing them directly at the desk it be added to your bill and the cost of each item was listed. We found the beds adequately comfortable with 4 smaller pillows per Queen. The air conditioner was quiet - which almost never happens. There was also a couch seating area with coffee table in our room with no upcharge. We believe all surfaces were a composite 'granite' but attractive. A shopping plaza was near by but we didn't hear a lot of noise from that. Breakfast was the usuals:cereals, "fried" egg, bacon, sausage, breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, tea etc. Well maintained and clean. Front desk was pleasant and efficient. I'd stay again and recommend...y'all come for good digs for a very fair price. Sorry, pics aren't loading

This was just an overnight stay on a trip south and we arrived at this BW a little late in the eventing. Check-in staff was helpful, friendly and efficient. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. The lighting was on the dim side but not to the extent of being a major problem. What we didn't like was the toilet didn't flush properly and was partially plugged (prior to our arrival)--this may not have been reported to Staff and in that case would unlikely have been noticed so they are off the hook. What they should have noticed was the dead roach on the bathroom floor.

We were moving to FL from MD and were driving with our cat. We called while on the road to see if a room was available that was pet friendly. The front desk was very helpful and made it very easy to book the room. Checking in was quick & easy. We were impressed by the room and accommodations of the hotel. Thank you to the kind hotel employees for making our night there restful!

PROs: The facility is very solidly built and appears to have been recently renovated. Check-in was efficient, and, unusually for a motel of this sort, I did not have to physically check out. My room was clean and everything, including the carpet, was in good condition. It had everything one would expect in a motel of this class: adequate microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, tissues, etc. A first, for me, for a motel in this class: most surfaces were granite: both bedside tables, the coffee table, the desk, of course the vanity – everything had a granite top. This is smart: the top surfaces are what take the beating. Anyway, liked it. I have to note that the single top surface that was not granite was a chest-level divider between the king bed and the sitting area (BTW this was NOT a suite), and it looked shabby by comparison. The flat-screen HD TV was the largest that I have seen in a motel, and larger than I have seen in a number of higher-cost places. The bed was comfortable though not A-1. On an unseasonably warm day / evening, the AC worked well and the thermostat was accurate. The pool was clean, and there was a bathroom as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. Items were refreshed as necessary by a staff member who also kept the area clean and tidy. CONs: None. WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN? Absolutely. WOULD I RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS? Yes.

The best Western in Lumberton is a clean comfortable motel. I spent the night here after traveling on the road for 10 hours. I checked in at 11 PM. The staff was friendly and efficient. It also offers a full breakfast.

Our halfway point stop on our way to Florida. We stop here every year and never have a problem. Convienient, easy and pet friendly. We have been stopping here for years and have never been disappointed.

Nice location where all loaded up car can be safe and there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Great for pet friendly and clean and inviting. Small pool outside never have gotten a chance to enjoy it. Breakfast in the morning is somewhat predictable but when you want to get on the road quickly you can get up early grab a bite and go. We find this place easy safe and relaxing.

Hotel is reasonably priced, pet friendly, and clean. Nice little pool. Right off of I 95. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Suggest you request a room away from Wal-mart parking lots to avoid noisy truck engines.

This is a very clean, pet friendly motel. Despite our late arrival, our ground floor room was ready. The breakfast has eggs, sausages, etc. Reasonably priced ($111 including pet fee.) Strongly recommended for other snowbirds like ourselves.

The staff was wonderful and kind during our stay there as evacuees from Florida during Hurricane Irma. They were very accommodating.,The hotel was comfortable and we were so happy they allowed our pets that we just couldn't leave behind! Lumberton is a neat small town and we will remember it when we are travelling north as a great stopover!

We evacuated from Florida with our 3 Bichon's and called to make last minute reservations with this hotel...We arrived earlier than anticipated and the staff saw how tired we were after the 12 hour all night drive and rushed to get our room ready, as well as offered us comp breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and how accommodating and friendly they were during our 3 day stay. The room was spacious, numerous restaurants and a Walmart and Sams Club across the lot. Being a former Hilton manager I know quality and this Best Western was definitely up to par and worth a visit. Most importantly we felt safe the entire stay and our dogs loved the huge lawns surrounding the rooms.

I did not feel safe at this hotel and should has guessed by the way the inner lobby was locked when I was checking in. People living in cars and vans with no plates across the parking lot in the 24 hour Walmart lot.

Although we have family in the area, we chose this hotel for the convenience and comfort and price. The staff is very friendly and am sure would be helpful if questions needed to transfer. Will return the next time we visit.

Very nice place to stay. Newly remodeled, large rooms, pool and complementary breakfast. Very close to I95 and many good restuarnts and shops. Gas stations near by. Many shops are within walking distance.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean pet friendly room. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Check in and check out was quick. The free internet speed was good. We made the reservation over the phone withiout any difficulty just a few hours before arriving.

NO HOT WATER!!! Very accommodating and professional. Breakfast bar a little limited. Room space limited too. But the lack of hot water really got me. This was the case in the p.m. as well as the morning. My sore shoulder especially.

Stayed here overnight while driving through from Florida to NY. Hotel undergoing renovations but staff is courteous and very accommodating with early check in and late check out. Stayed again on return trip from NY. Very pleasant experience. Would stay again. Renovations seem to be going well too.

Room exceptionally clean, comfy beds, very pleasant workers, area was quiet. My husband and I will definately be stopping here in the near future. I will travel further going south just to stay at this particular best western so worth it both in cleanliness and cost. See you soon!

We stayed overnight on our way North on I95. It is clean, quiet, and super convenient with a Wal-Mart right behind it. There are a lot of food options near by. The staff was very friendly, which unfortunately isn't always the case on interstate side hotels anymore. There is a pool that wasn't really big but clean we didn't use it but I did see it. The rooms were very clean and functional, no complaints there. The only issue was a lack of vending machines, the only had two drink machines and the one with bottled water was down. That's really the only problem we had. If you are near here and need to stop for the night I'd recommend this place.

I'm a woman traveling alone My room was clean and I felt safe. The lobby was attractive and clean. Front desk personnel were personable and breakfast quite tasty. Waffles seem to be the new breakfast du jour . Nice choice but I went for the eggs and sausage. The dining area was well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here last year on our trip to Virginia so made it a point to stay here on our trip north this year. Very nice drive up rooms on the first floor with makes it very helpful for Senior citizens. Staff was very nice and professional. Room is clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a very nice stay at this Best Western. Check in was fast and courteous. Room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Pool was very clean and very warm. The hotel location has many eating options within walking distance to choose from. The hotel breakfast was very good, as well. I would definitely stay here again! Price for the room was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the same area.

Wow! Keep in mind this is not a five star hotel, but a FIVE STAR REVIEW.... I definitely feel I got more than I paid for! What you get is a nice big room with nice beds & lots of pillows, that is clean. What more can you expect from a motor lodge? Coffee maker in room, microwave & mini fridge; all conveniently located right off the I-95! They have a pool if you care to partake. Oh, and a lovely breakfast spread overseen by the equally lovely Angel ... what a nice lady! Dare I say that it ranks right up there with my fav chain Hampton?

Stayed at this motel as a stop over from driving home from Florida. Very disappointed in the room. The room we stayed in had a musty smell like a basement, the sheets were stained and tub was dirty. Would not recommend this motel.

Seemed a little expensive for an overnight stay during the week. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, everyone we met was cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and accommodating.

Last 6 years this is our one night stopover hotel to rest between D.C. & Atlanta. Always friendly staff, clean, comfortable hotel room, nicely decorated, excellent value $$. Convenient to restaurants, Walmart, right off I-95, exit 22. They never disappoint, best to book in advance because they do heavy business oftentimes.

The room is fine but the thing is it's pet friendly i mean they have rooms for not pet friendly and seperate the pet friendly bcoz they don't know maybe some other guest have allergy from fur. The front desk she don't know how to process if you want to py by points.

Upon check in the front service desk clerk was very friendly and professional. I was given an up grade to our room. This was appreciated after driving for 8 hrs. The room was very clean, and their was an "over size" TV for our enjoyment while relaxing in our comfy king size bed. The breakfast bar had a good variety; it was well stocked and clean, "great" coffee too!

We typically stay in Lumberton on our way to FL. We like the numerous hotels, restaurants and other amenities as well as ease of off and on I-95. This was our first stay at BW, it was a decent hotel for an overnight stay.

Booked a room from my phone on the road and someone called me right away to confirm and ask if we minded switching room types so we could be on the ground floor as requested. First room had a backed up sink and no one had Drano, so the housekeeper switched us to a new room and got us new keys. Lots of nice large grassy areas not next to busy roads to walk pets. Nice pool area, great breakfast, but mattresses on both beds were old and sunk in and needed to be replaced. Room was clean, as was carpet. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Very convenient and we would stay here again.

An excellent experience! Staff and room were outstanding. Very accommodating and friendly. Especially great when you have a pet at only $10 for pet fee. Lots of restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance so a good place to stretch your legs after a long ride.

We just did an over night stay here while traveling. I selected the King Suite room because it was only $10 more. I couldn't believe the room! It was huge with a kitchen area - sink and cabinets. I was told it was just recently completed. The room was very clean and modern with a large flat screen TV. The breakfast was just as good with hot bacon, eggs, waffles, etc. Couldn't ask for anything more! I booked it again on our way back!

I read other reviews before I booked and we will put this hotel on our must stop on our annual trip to and from Florida. Staff was accommodating, clean and comfortable bed and area chock full of restaurants to pick from.

This was a very convenient stop for us during a move. There were a few restaurants within walking distance that had outdoor seating for our dog (Panera and Chik Fil A to name two - there may have been others). We were tired of driving and wanted to be able to walk to a restaurant AND take our dog since we thought he might panic being left in the room alone. The room was clean and the breakfast was ample and had fruit. Our room was in the back and faced a parking lot, a median strip, and then the Walmart parking lot. There was a lot of activity with other people and their UHauls but after 10:30 p.m. it quieted down.

Room has more a suite feel than a room, staff very helpful, & friendly. I would stay again. Breakfast was really nicely done with a good assortment of choices . I had not seen bacon included anywhere in a while!

In the past I've not even considered Best Western because I thought of them as cheap and old. Not anymore!! We've been traveling for two months now and have stayed at many different motels and hotels. Needing a place to stay for one night on our way home we found this Best Western. It was by far in the top five faves of our trip. Clean, modern, located right off I-95, friendly & helpful staff. Great rates!!! It compared in quality to hotels we paid triple for in other places. We will definitely be returning when we pass through again. We wish we could have stayed more then one night!!

I always stay at the Best Western both going and returning from Florida. My cat just enjoys staying at the Best Western which makes the trip for me a lot easier. I have stay in other pet friendly hotels but he never rest all night but at the BW he just lays in the window looking out as if he was at home.

Being staying here for 10 years when on business. Very comfortable rooms, clean, spacious, and always very friendly staff. The location is easy access to the highway and very quiet surroundings. Food and shopping very close.

As the late afternoon wore on, it was obvious by the sky conditions that a storm was fast approaching. We took exit 22 off I-95 south to get something to eat and take refuge from the storm; coming off the ramp we saw the tall Best Western sign and headed that way! "Brenda" checked us in efficiently as if she had been expecting us, and even printed me directions on how to get to the nearby KFC because she overheard us talking about wanting that. Just as we got inside with our hot food, the sky opened up and the rain was relentless.... but we were safe & dry & oh so comfortable! Thanks again Best Western!! Special thanks to Brenda & Beth!

Pet friendly. People friendly. This motel is VERY clean. Convenient right off 95 with many places to eat and shop. The staff is wonderful, very pleasant people. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are comfortable as well. The pool is very nice. Can't comment on breakfast as I have food allerigies. But all comments before mine say it's good. Wether you are staying for one night or more, you won't be disappointed. All rooms are outside entry which is a plus for some people. Safe travels!

There is nothing negative about this hotel. It really is worth staying. Wonderful staff friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent room. Just great. I highly recommend it. Very clean. Just perfect after a long day of driving to come to rest here is very rewarding.

All of our needs were met. Friendly, efficient reception. Clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable room. Great breakfast. Great morning workout at the gym nearby, even got to swim my laps. Nice, unique arrangement between the BW and that local gym. After traveling for eight hours, we were ready for a soft, uncomplicated "landing place". The young lady who checked us in was accommodating and anticipated our questions even before we had to ask them. Thus, our first night out was more than pleasant and set a nice tone for the rest of our trip.

We were traveling by car and needed a last minute nights stay that was on our way. Looking on my trusty Best Western App found one right on our path to our destination. I called last minute and a room was available. It was unexpected to get a King Bed with a couch and chair. A suite. The room was perfect. Breakfast was great. They even had a pool. Great place.

The hotel lobby was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The free hot breakfast was very good. They offered free Wi-Fi. The check in clerk was very friendly, but did not offer me anything for my elite status. It was in a very good location for shopping and restaurants. It was very convenient to the interstate also.

In summary--cockroaches in room-- slept with lights on and I could not sleep--, smelled like smoke, staff very loud at 7am outside our door, smoking guests outside our door at 7am talking loudly with staff, breakfast was not good at all. Dog friendly which was nice but charged extra feed per dog--my dogs did not require any extra clean up. Very disappointed as I have always liked Best Western

Dog friendly, People friendly Motor Inn near 95. Reliably good when we travel from mid atlantic to florida along I95 - its about halfway and we alwsys feel welcomed when we arrive, even late at night.

No elevator, almost drove away with this one issue alone. Lots of bugs around. Older toilet with flush mechanism issue. Musty smell in room. Live roach in room. Nice decorative touches for visual appeal, but the carpet was stained. I won't stay at this location again. Had we not been so exhausted, we would have driven to another hotel. Overpriced for what I got relative to other Best locations I've been to. Older facility that has been fixed up but could use more work. I would not suggest this room to family or friends. Room was second floor over pool area which had high chlorine smell. Usually indicates chlorine in water is too low. Lobby was "okay" but nothing special. This site needs more work to compete with surrounding competition. All in all, disappointing stay and grateful it was only for one night. Made note to not stay there again during my travels. Have been trying the Best Westerns out during summer travels and to see how well I would like the Rewards program. This one stay almost made me rethink all other planned reservations up the east coast.

The mangement and staff very courteous, caring and professional . Make you feel at home and like family. The food is excellent on breakfast hot/cold bar. I would recommend anyone to stay even church organzation . Good location to restaurant and interstate. Swimming pool excellent. I would close the swimming pool area in and make it a year round swimming pool and add a jacuzzi

Pulled in late couldn't park in lot there was a buss blocking 15 spots after 2 hrs was able to park car in lot shady area looked like drug deals going down in lot people just hanging out in their cars had gas robbed from my car

Lumberton Best Western is a great, affordable place to stay! The staff is friendly, helpful & pleasant in every way. The price for the room was excellent. Everything was new & clean. It is a great stop!

We booked rooms 3 weeks in advance because my grandfather is handicapped and cannot walk up stairs very well. We get to the Best Western in Lumberton to check in and the girl tell us they have already given away the 1st floor non-smocking rooms. What's the point of a reservation if they're going to ignore said requests? After we help my grandfather get up the steps and into their room, we go to open the door to our room and the door keys do not work. We have to go back downstairs to get new door keys and the girl says "Did you have them near any credit cards?" Like somehow we happened to damage both room keys ourselves. After we get into the room, we come to find a large industrial fan blowing our out of the bathroom and into the room. I go to use the phone to call down and it's dead. So we go back downstairs and she changes our room. When we open the door to the new room we get hit in the face with the smell of cigarettes covered by some form of chemical smell as to hide the fact someone smoked in there. It was so bad our eyes were watering and and lungs were burning. We go back downstairs to tell the girl this room is not fit for anyone to be sleeping in b/c of this and she hands us a can of industrial cigarette smoke cover spray which on the back it says not to spray in closed environments, or breath in, avoid contact with skin and so forth. Finally I had enough and told her I want another room, which she gave us that seemed cleaner other than long brown hair on my pillow. I Have pictures of the can she handed us, and so forth to document the terrible service we received at this place.

The breakfast was good at the desk clerk was polite I just needed a place to stay to rest before traveling up North everything would have been good but once I noticed that the carpet was damp I couldn't wait to leave.

This was an overnight stay for our family vacation. The staff is courteous and efficient. The rooms are clean. It's more of a motel than hotel and if your room is on the Walmart side it can be very noisy. The breakfast is okay not great, but it is kept well-stocked. The greatest negative were the bugs outside the room and the rather large spider inside the room.

The room was clean, nice king size bed. All furniture had lovely granite tops. Site is walking distance to many restaurants and just off I-95. They accept pets and have adequate space to walk them. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Have stayed here multiple times and will continue to return when I am in this area. Love they have smoking rooms and they staff is awesome. They always take care of me when I stay here. Oh yeh they have bacon too....

Older Hotel, pet friendly, basically clean, very convenient off I 95 good area with many services. Beds could be updated. Hairdryer broken , standing lamp switch broken. This hotel is good for travelers with pets as they charge a reasonable fee for pet. The room could use some updating, but it was adequate for overnight stay. Being on the first floor with access to our car and walking our dog wax very helpful.

Employees are great, and my room was extremely clean. I loved the breakfast. I will definitely stay again.. also, a perfect location and close to everything. The bed was comfortable. It was a business trip for me, and this hotel provided everything I needed.

The room was a standard room and was clean and well furnished. The hotel staff was very helpful. The area wasn't the best, but it was next to I-95 and near restaurants, so it was very convenient. It was also incredibly inexpensive!!

This is the second time we have used this property when driving south. Being pet-friendly is a must for us, and we were always very satisfied with our stay, The staff is very considerate and welcoming. We would recommend staying there.

Alt hough an older hotel it has been updated tastefully. Rooms are large. Breakfast was good and staff quite nice. I noticed that they had an assortment of board games for guests, a nice touch for a 95 interstate hotel.

Room was clean and fresh. Staff was friendly. I recommend a pool side room as it was very quiet. Breakfast was fine, but didn't like the eggs. Personal opinion. There was plenty of stuff to choose from. The bed was very soft.

We were moving to Florida with two vehicles, a dog, and pulling a trailer. The facility was easy to access and egress from interstate 95. It was clean, comfortable, and in a safe are near stores. One of the biggest plusses for us was that there was plenty of parking for our truc with a trailer. The staff were welcoming. Bed comfortable. Breakfast quite good. Would reccommend.

The staff here are tops, and the rooms are clean yet dog friendly. We always try to stop here when passing through NC (except during the great flood last year!). We have never had any issues with this hotel and it's circled on our map permanently as our stopping place when driving North.

This hotel had rooms labeled smoke free but they had clearly been smoked in regularly with air freshener attempting to cover the smell. Many breakfast items were out with no apparent attempt to refill them. We will never stay there again.

A good half way point. Do stop here while traveling on 95. It will not be disappointing and you will want to return. Oh and pets are welcome. We've never had less than a great experience here. Every one is very friendly and helpful. They appear to like their job.

We checked in at around 5 pm without reservations, the girl at desk said printer was not working and she would have paper work later. At 9:30 pm she called the room and asked if I could come down to sign paper work, we had already gone to bed after a long hard drive, in the am I spoke to a different clerk who had paper work ready for total of $101.12, which was fair price with AARP Discount. Breakfast of eggs and bacon etc was excellent, coffee was great, dining area was very neat and clean, room was spacious and clean, hotel was packed with guest, would recommend staying there again but for a better rate.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and unfortunately it is not as nice as it once was. The rooms this time were dirty and spider infested due to the gap under the door. We had to place a towel at he the bottom of the door to stop the insects from coming in. There are still pet owners not picking up after there pets as well. We will be going to a different hotel next trip.

I stay here at least 2x a year on my way to Florida or back to Maryland. Hotel is lovely. Rooms are well appointed. My main concern is that Bailey , my cock-a-poo, would have a great place to stay as well. When will other places realize the impact of being pet friendly will make on their bottom line and generate travel loyalty.

It was neat and clean and the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good and plenty there and plenty of parking spaces and they are there 24/7 in case you need anything and restaurants are close buy and they are close to all exits.

Stayed overnight heading north in May. Room was nicely furnished, large with a seating area, frig, microwave, flat screen with good channel choices, bed was a bit hard for me, but ok. Room and bathroom were very clean. Towels were large and soft. Great hot water and pressure in shower. A bit noisy from the Walmart lot next door especially in the early evening with trucks running, but quieted down at night. Good eating choices nearby (walking distance). Breakfast was decent. Desk staff very pleasant and helpful.
