Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre

Absolutely will recommend. The room were clean the atrium is the area to be for a birthday party. We set up our tables with food drinks and decorated lightly so nothing is damaged. The kids ages 2 to 6 could play freely with all the parents watching while some could go into there rooms for toddler naps and the others could have adults watching them.It was a great area where you could at night wind down with the parents as the kids could be watched as they slept and the parents could be right outside since the rooms have glass sliding door amazing set up for young families. We need more places like this in our area.

we stayed at this hotel as we were having renovations done on our home and we were told that they offered animal room rates so we could bring our dogs with us. overall it was fun, the kids utilized the fun zone, pool and fitness area during our stay. staff were very polite and humble. we ate at the restaurant in am for breakfast which had many options to choose from at a fair price.

My family and I travelled to this hotel back in December and will NOT be returning! We travelled with my son's hockey team and speaking with other families they would not return here as well. The hotel is very outdated, the rooms seem to have alot of water damage that has been touched up, bathroom locks don't work, some showers were not working in some rooms and everyday every room were locked out as the cards deactivate so you need to go all the way down to the front desk to have them reactivated. The atrium roof leaks when there is snow or rain and causes puddles in the middle of the floor which is harazardes with kids running all over . The kids play area -sections of the jungle gym had loose screws so the kids would avoid those areas. This hotel advertises water slides which do not work leaving your kids upset wanting to use them ( these haven't worked in years from what I understand) they need to stop advertising this! The biggest issue we had was by the way some.of.our parents were treated by the front desk agent and the manager on site our last night(Saturday) . After the kids went to bed a few parents were sitting in the lobby chatting and bonding which is what hockey tournaments is all about and the manager told us we need to leave and go to bed at 11 pm and was very rude and condescending to all of us and treated us like we weren't guests. All.of the parents that evening were very upset by how we were talked to and treated! The 2 nights before the manager on duty was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were blown away how we were talked to and treated and were told " if you don't like it don't come back" we have been away for many tournaments and have never been treated this way before. One positive about this hotel was the restaurant staff, they were very friendly and helpful as well as the front desk agent who checked us in Thursday afternoon (male) We will NOT be coming back to this hotel for any future tournaments, family getaways and will make sure to spread the word to other hockey teams, friends and family!

Super dirty rooms food and drinks all iver under beds and floor form guest before water slides still down over 6 months not posted they are down the food was horrible just order delivery unless u want to wait over an hour for can pasta suace that cold and taste less oh and if u book online thur there website expect to pay 20 to 30$ more than your booking and have 2 out of 3 front desk staff blow u off about fixing it

It was a busy time when we went but the hotel staff kept everything great ! Breakfast was not included in the price but the prices were excellent and the food was delicious!! There are other restaurants close by if you choose. The kids had a blast in the playground and the pool.

We loved this place. Especially the waitresses at the in house restaurant. The front end staff were friendly, and didn't mind answering any questions we had about the hotel, or outside attractions and amenities. The Fun Zone area was unbelievable. Have never encountered a place like this to go and have some fun during our stay. Will definitely be back here

I was welcomed the moment I walked through the front door. The staff throughout was friendly and welcoming. I definitely enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting this part of the province.

We made reservations for the night just for a fun get away. The hotel was very clean, the staff were all super friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The play area was a hit, the pool was relaxing. The food was good. We are already planning another trip back.

Clean rooms and public spaces, comfortable bed, generous, inexpensive and delicious meals, lots of large common gathering spaces, friendly staff, great amenities, convenient location, attractive grounds and quiet rooms. The price for what we received was a pleasant surprise. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel again.

This hotel was great for my 3 children, 1-8 years of age, there was lots for them to do and it was basic fun. The jungle gym and arcade area really gave them an opportunity to burn off their energy. If you were going to this hotel for a romantic getaway I would avoid it. It's 100% geared towards families rather than couples or work travels. Although great for the kids I thought the rooms were a little dirty, smelt like old smoke and the pet friendly room really bothered my allergies. There was a dead spider in our ice bucket.

Just remember to bring a firestick not the best tv for bed time. Fun place for kids and parents to get drunk by the vibe of it lmao . The room is like a huge play pen. Have fun be safe. dont drink an drive

This hotel requires significant repairs, our ceiling in the room leaked and there was evidence of previous water damage through out the room. The portable air conditioner was loud and the window connection leaked all over the floor. The regular built in HVAC system was loud too and no way to turn it off without it getting too hot. The roof in the atrium leaked all over the play space for the kids. The price to stay does not equal the level of quality expected. The stairwells have a mouldy smell to them, questioning whether or not a health inspector has been by. The people at the front desk were pleasant, but not in any way helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel.

I really enjoy this hotel. It's a perfect spot if your visiting Leamington, point Pelee or any other area destination. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is the heart of this hotel. Gives you a sense of community.

The bathroom ceiling had a large leaking water spot that went unaddressed after being reported. All machines in the arcade were broken. The water slides are closed off. The play area furniture was tore up and it was overall dirty in there. Wifi signal was pretty bad. The rooms are dark lighting. Way too overpriced for the quality of the hotel which looks like it would be nice if it was cleaned and well maintained

There was a very strong ammonia type smell in the room. We had to get a fan from our housekeeper to dry parts of the floor. The fridge was sticky and very dirty inside and out. Our room was opened when we arrived. Didn't think anything of it, until we needed to use our keys. The key card didn't work. I went downstairs twice before the desk said we needed maintenence. We had to wait for maintenance to repair they key card slot. It was repaired but took nearly 30 minutes in total. I was very upset when we arrived because I called the hotel directly to ask if all amenities were going after all the Covid closures. I was told everything was operating. When we arrived I was told not to use the slides as they were broken. This broke my kids hearts as I told them they were running finally. We drove 2 hours to stay at this specific hotel. The atrium is very run down. Most arcade games were out of order, basketballs were misshapen, triangles from the pool tables missing, benches to sit on were bent, and the play equipment looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. This hotel needs many repairs before we will even think about returning. Only good thing I can say about this hotel is the restaurant prices and the great servers.

Stayed here on the august long weekend 4-7th. Visited Pelee island on the Saturday which we biked around, had a great day there. However sometime between late Saturday night and Sunday morning our bicycles were stolen off the bike rack on the back of our truck parked in the hotel lot. Many other vehicles with bikes were also there and no warning given about theft in the area. Our lock cable was cut and all four bikes taken - each over a $1000. The worker at the front desk did the best she could. I filed a police report with the OPP who quickly responded. But the hotel manager who was supposed to be in Sunday wasn't nether were they Monday, only the manager has access to security footage. As of Tuesday evening the OPP officer had not been able to get in touch with manager either through email and voicemail- no response. It's now Thursday and we have not heard from the hotel manager either, even though our email address and phone number are on the room invoice. No response, no discount, just nothing from hotel. Like it never happened. One of your customers who spent $900 for three nights at your hotel had $4000+ stolen from there vehicle in your parking lot and nothing but silence. Is security footage still going to be available or re-recorded over by the time the manger if ever gets around to it? What if there was a murder in the parking lot? Just very upset about lose of bicycles (which our insurance doesn't cover) and lack of interest or empathy from hotel.

Booked a balcony room for my anniversary. When we arrived, there were no chairs for the balcony. My wife asked about it and was told no one uses the balcony (how could you, with no chairs?) or they bring their own (how would we know to?). The cable was analog only, with no option for streaming, casting, on demand, or pay-per-view. Half the pool was closed (water slides were shut down for some reason), and most of the options in the "fun center" were pay-to-play. Breakfast was not included but was reasonably priced and tasty, but there weren't enough kitchen workers and there were long delays. We won't be staying again. I don't know if this hotel is an anomaly or if this is how Best Western is going, but I will think twice before staying at another BW again.

Wow!! Talk about living on past glory. This hotel was once nice, now, not so much. Both waterslides permanently closed, pool slimy (don't look up when in pool to see black mold on most skylights), Arcade had half of the games inop, air hockey table inop. Let's get to room. Son came out of bathroom saying his shoes that he left in there, were soaked. Wife walked in, floor soaked, looked up, black mold on ceiling with water dripping from above. Called maintenance, guy came and removed ceiling tile to find 2 large lasagna trays sitting up there to catch the water!! Yes, you read it right. Water was overflowing out of trays. Mold everywhere up there. Room 210. Talked to manager, looked surprised. Offered $60 discount. At one point this hotel may have been nice, now should be re-evaluated. Very poor showing for a Best Western. We are not picky people, but mold and broken games/slides, were not on the menu for my son's 9th birthday. Very disappointed. Will not return. Please take this under consideration when booking. Stayed July 30 2023.

Breakfast was not included as promised on line due to the fact that we booked by phone and thus not entitled to free breakfast. I guess you must book through main office to get coupons for breakfast. This should have been noted on the website.

the pool and the kids equipment were awesome the kids would have spent the entire time in the atrium the video games are a great addition but should be better maintained but when we complained they did come and repair the air hockey

clean and comfortable with Breakfast option...we weren't traveling with kids but pool area looked fun and room set up around pool would be nice for familys I dont like the idea of them not coming in between nights to make beds and restock toiletries

We travelled with 2 children between the ages of 5-10. The hotel layout is ideal for parents who can feel comfortable having children explore the play area while you can safely observe them from a room overlooking the atrium. The pool was ideal to accommodate differently skilled swimmers. It was a bit disappointing that the water slides were not in working order however the play structure and the pool were enough to keep the kids entertained. The restaurant is very reasonably priced and food is great quality and staff were friendly. This hotel was a perfect place to stay to have access to Point Pelee and surrounding area.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I booked a king with patio; unfortunately there is no patio, just a sliding door to the parking lot; Not what I expected. To make things worse the sliding door was vert difficult to open and close. I reported it to front desk, nothing was done. I also asked them why they are advertising patio when there is actually no patio., was told that is how hotels indicate patio door; Room is tried looking, wall paper pulling away from wall, water faucet in tube loose, tube old. There is free coffee and tea in main area.; the first day went for a tea, hot water was luck warm; next morning went to make tea, hot water tasted like coffee. There is no information on hotel in room. No pool, restaurant hours. location of ice machine, TV channel, what's in the area. Made many trips to front desk for information, where I as told I had to scan a bar code to find information, explained that I don't have that kind of function on basic phone, this information should be readily available to all Pros: Staff friendly and helpful; asked one young man at the desk if he could suggest a local place to eat ( not tourist place) suggested a place called Moonlight cafe. Room is spacious and clean, bed was comfortable with lots of pillows, toiletries; bar fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sofa, coffee table, desk, TV, hair dyer. Swimming pool (did not use); fitness room, basic equipment. Has restaurant/bar ( did not use). Close to Point Pelee National Park about 10 min drive; close to ferry for Pelee Island. About 10 minute drive to restaurants.

I was able to bring my family along for a work trip. This hotel was appealing because of the activities it offered my children during my work times. They had so much fun in the pool, but the indoor playground and Micky Mouse car were their favourite activities.

Rooms are freezing and not cleaned properly. Bedspread was dirty and could tell it had not been washed in between stays from the last people. Food was left in the fridge and we were given 2 towels for 4 people for a 2 night stay. Crumbs were all over the floor so we were forced to wear our shoes the whole time because god knows what else was on teh floor. Waterslides were closed and the floor around the pool was broken in many places with sharp pieces laying around to step on. My son cut his foot and the first aid kit at the pool did not even have the most basic of bandaids.

This hotel was an amazing place to meet new people, and make new friends. The Kids are obsessed! The basketball area is perfect for practise. The ping pong tables are perfect for a calm game! The playground is perfect! The rooms are good for a few nights. The pool is very clean, and so is the gym! Our room had a fridge and microwave, we brought our own dishes. But were offered ceramic dishes form the staff. Very kind and help full! For younger children, choose a room on the second or third floor. This makes for a less chance of your child running off to the playground, when there not supposed to!

The water slides should no longer be advertised on any of the websites. It was questionable that the note regarding the slides was in small font at the bottom of the websites. Easily missed. The slides are an attractive feature for families. Those being unusable should be a large eye catching banner or notice.

Pelee Motor Inn (now known as the Best Western Plus) holds a very special place in our hearts. My now-husband and I both went to Pelee as kids with our families. When searching for a wedding venue for over two hundred guests, we were elated that the Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel was able to accommodate us. We were able to utilize all aspects of the hotel for our big day: the lobby/lobby bar, the Bevel Room, the Monarch Hall, and the atrium (among 70+ hotel rooms). Our individual memories were able to come full circle as we celebrated our wedding day together in such a meaningful place. And boy oh boy… our wildest dreams were exceeded because of Ed Borland. The success of the weekend is due to him. From the second we walked through the doors over two years ago, Ed went above and beyond in listening to our vision and exceeding our expectations for the duties that his job entails. Early on, he told us “my ultimate goal is for you and Brett to have the special day that the two of you envision and want and that's where my focus is and always will be”. Ed held true to his words and was personable, kind, and always willing to help and answer our many phone calls (at all hours of the day, seven days a week). He truly cared about our happiness throughout the entire process. Last summer, Ed blew our minds with an incredible food tasting where each and every dish was cooked to perfection (coming from an Italian family… this was an important factor when choosing our venue). Leading up to the wedding, Ed picked the best of the best servers and bartenders to work for us, met us on his day off to grab and set up chair covers and hotel Christmas decorations, met with us on numerous occasions to put our minds at ease (down to setting up and measuring distances between tables in our proposed seating plan so that we knew our guests would have adequate room to move around), suggested alcohol for a fun party shot that ended up being a huge hit, set up high chairs for our youngest guests, AND coordinated with Hydro One when they told us a week before our wedding that there would be a power outage during our event (which he was able to postpone). The weekend of, Ed and his team set-up/took-down the Monarch Hall overnight to flip the room for our brunch. Our guests were absolutely amazed that Ed slept at the hotel overnight to be there for us at all hours of the event. As well as Ed, Quayd Rawlings made sure everything went smoothly and according to our intricate plan. From the moment we met him the week of our wedding, we knew he was a very kind and humble person. Above all, he was genuinely happy for us every time we saw him throughout the weekend. He would ask us how he can be of assistance, dropped everything to help out, and congratulated us many times. In addition, we couldn't believe the quality of the food (we had a five-course meal in addition to appetizers and pizza) and the fair pricing of our wedding meal. Furthermore, the entire hotel was spotless, decked out in holiday cheer, and felt very welcoming. We had over 140 people staying the night, and not one person complained about any aspect of the venue. People were raving about the fun bartenders (especially Michelle), the abundance of delicious food, and the exceptional service we all received all weekend. After the wedding, Ed and his team worked tirelessly to convert the ballroom into a Christmas-themed breakfast hall for us to have an out-of-this-world breakfast. In summary, it was an absolute pleasure working with Ed, Quayd, Madi (the kindest receptionist/server we've ever met), and Kate (a fantastic sales manager) over the past few years. We highly recommend the Best Western Plus Leamington to any couple wanting to throw an amazing wedding reception, to any family wanting to get away and spend time with each other, and to any person wanting to stay at a place that makes them feel like family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for pouring your passion into our day.

We stayed at this hotel for one night to break up a road trip with kids. We were attracted by the kids amenities. Unfortunately there seemed to only be one staff member working at the front desk and another doing everything else (delivering towels, testing pool water, delivering bedding). The room was basic but comfortable. The play area was dirty with kids leaving food everywhere. Many things like badminton rackets were broken. Pool slides were closed, possibly due to lack of staff. The area needs supervision, just to maintain cleanliness. I would have been happy to pay more to have a cleaner area for kids to play.

The hotel staff was very good. No complaints about the staff. The restaurant was good. And was reasonable. The room for the price was not at all what it should be. Holes in the wall. Paint peeling in the bathroom ceiling. The tub was peeling its coating. Cracked sink in the bathroom. The ceiling tiles in the hallway are not properly cut or installed properly. The heater /conditioner has tape around it the wallpaper peeling not sure if there was mold behind the wall paper peeling. The reading lights by the bed are not working. The side table drawers are both broken. When we got to the bedroom we just wanted to rest and sleep. Going to another room would not have fixed the issues. There were so many things wrong it was just ugly. Not sure if a manager has ever looked closely at this room. For the 200.00 + a night was definitely not worth the price. Not sure how this place got to be a best western plus rating.

We saw this hotel and thought it would be a good alternative to great wolf lodge and cheaper too. Well I guess you get what you pay for. The kids said it was the best hotel ever and enjoyed themselves. Though Many things need to be changed to make the stay more enjoyable for the adults. First the pool room - waterside broken. Roof leaking. It was super cold. Not even the change room was warm. The shower in change room was ice cold. Second the play room- the arcade games were not free and included on price of stay like the front desk told me when I called and inquired. A child had an accident in the climbing Frame and it was closed for over 2 hours. It would have been nice if it was cleaned right away. Kids were asking so many times when it will be ready. Third- we got a walk up room with no elevator access so had to go up the stairwell- well surprisingly that wasn't heated either so was freezing to walk through. Especially after going on the pool and too cold to change in changeroom. Third- restaurant. We were told dinner would be a 45-50 min wait as they were really busy. Fine kids could play while we waited - wait no they couldn't play structure was closed. Whatever. 1 hour 45 mins the food finally started to arrive. All adults meals came we were nearly done and still children's food didn't arrive! After 2 hours! Not ok! Also the food was disgusting not worth the wait. Breakfast not much better: I don't know how you can make breakfast food taste bad but they did it. Not enjoyable. Saw many other get pizza delivered- much better option if you stay! Forth- room. Was ok except in one room the bath plug didn't work so had to shower. Other room the fridge didn't work and smelt really rancid. All in all it's ok stay if they improve the heat and the quality of food in restaurants. Or you get elevator access room and order food out!

This place was fine. It did have a lot of amenities. However, I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't have kids, as there is very little enforcement, especially in the mornings for noise control, meaning if your room was an atrium view, you are waking up at 7 AM to kids running around screaming at the top of their lungs. Other than that, the room was fine, the shower wasn't working properly, the shower head wouldn't fully turn on, but it wasn't the end of the world for us as we were taking a quick showers anyways. Staff was extremely kind. Overall, I wouldn't pay full price for this place and in my opinion I think if you can you're better off staying at Caesar's and driving the distance between. We stayed here for a wedding so it was just convenience and the wedding rate that brought us here

Resturant was a major let down with food that was bland with no flavor and with wait staff to match the food. The waitress couldn't be bothered and was more interested in socializing. Our room which was room 241 had mold coming out the air vent all over the ceiling and water damage to the ceiling tiles as well. Some other guests we talked to had similar issues with ac not working or finding food and items left rotting behind the night stand. The smell of the place itself was just nauseating. I would not recommend this place nor would we return. We all felt sick the next morning which I would say was probably linked to the black mold.

Great place for kids, teams etc. Noisy if you're in the inside atrium, but great to keep an eye on your kids. Pool slides weren't running, so didn't get that experience. Park was great for the kids and the pool was fun too.

Visiting this hotel last minute for a Friday night stay. My daughter called directly to book 2 rooms on the Atrium. She arrived early and received the room she reserved. Hubby and I arrived at 7PM in the evening and there was only a pet friendly Atrium room available, not sure how this happened but we did book last minute. King room with parking lot view was adequate however NOT worth the $200 price tag considering the SLIDES at this water park hotel are still NOT OPEN (since Covid). TIP:drive the extra 20 min to Windsor for a hotel with a pool at a much more reasonable rate. GOOD TO KNOW: The restaurant and staff at this hotel are absolutely AMAZING! The food is delicious and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!!

Was not the room I booked. Construction on a Friday in the hall and in the stair well right where our bed was located. Trying to have a nap before going to a wedding that we knew we would be back late. This hotel did not give us a great experience for a day we wanted to remember!

When I pay $200 for a basic room at a BW things better be perfect. They were not. First room was absolutely filthy...broken lamps, stains, and a patio full of spider webs and insects with no chairs for sitting. After complaining they moved us to a new room that was much better. Front desk obviously went in and cleaned it properly before we entered - you could even smell the room spray and they brought us up 2 chairs for the patio. The pool and atrium facilities were over run by small loud children with no one there to supervise. Would have been nice to play a game of ping pong or badminton or pool but was unable to because the kids hogged it all up while their parents sat around oblivious and drank beer. The pool slides were closed because of a lack of a lifeguard. As a result this area was pretty much useless to us. Breakfast should have been included for this price but was not. Although the prices were very reasonable the food quality and service was not. The cook cant cook eggs properly - they do it on the griddle instead of a egg pan (wrong)...the result is over cooked dry and crispy eggs instead of a light and fluffy dish with no colour as sunny side or over easy or scrambled eggs should be. The bacon and sausage seemed to be deep fried. We had to ask for utensils so we could eat. I asked if the coffee was included as we could just get free coffee at the check in...was told it was then they proceeded to charge us for it. We had to have the bill fixed as they made errors in adding. The staff were all very nice and friendly but very poorly trained. Almost everything we did needed some sort of attention or fixing. At checkout the bill was higher than I got confirmed at check in. Sure enough they tried to sneak in a hidden hotel tax for another $30. They removed it when I told them to but played the innocent "how did that get there" routine. Look I have been in this business for over 40 years and I know all the tricks. Stop blaming covid for everything and get back to doing your jobs properly. While most complaints were fixed or addressed, the bottom line is they should have never happened to begin with. There is NO EXCUSE for dirty rooms, poor service and un-working facilities. A major discount should have been applied but was not even offered.

Booked 3 rooms for me and my kids and grandkids to have a family weekend together. Didn't get our rooms until almost 4pm. Rooms were just ok, one of the rooms air condition did not work and the connecting doors did not work either, when we complained they said they would make a note of it. They were not sympathetic at all and didn't give us a discount at all even though it was such a hot day. Outdoor area was nice with a picnic table and some chairs. The play area was fun for the kids but some of the games did not work. Pool was nice but the slides are STILL not working - it seems like they have been broken for a long time. We had the breakfast in the lobby which was good and very reasonably priced. Nice seating area in the atrium but some guests were having a birthday party so they took over the whole area for the the whole afternoon and evening.

Had to change rooms upon check in as i did not feel the room had been cleaned. Room was better after switching but still did not feel clean. The whole hotel has an odour to it, visible dirt on stairs and in common areas. This hotel has so much potential, but it didn't impress me. However, my kids had fun in the pool and on the playground.

This Hotel is great for a family stay. Main floor Atrium Rooms are the best opening out into the Atrium like 123, 125, 127 and so on. Hotel supplied us with an early check in as we were arriving for a funeral and coming from Out Of Town. If you do not want to hear noise than take outer rooms. Ping Pong, Badminton, basketball, pool tables and indoor pool . Slide rides currently not operating.

We had four rooms for the family, great location, fun filled little vacation. Kids had a wonderful time. Leamington was a nice area with lots to do. This was a gift so all our families could be together. Everyone was friendly, great service. We will definitely do it again!

Not sure how this came to be a BW "Plus". Breakfast in not included, it is however reasonably priced, and good quality. Had a balcony room and there was a nice enough view but no chair to sit on. Bed was comfortable, Keurig in the room for morning coffee was nice. Great location if you are heading to Point Pelee National Park.

Nice place to stay, staff were friendly. Just a heads up if you're booking a ground floor room the have a walk out to the parking lot... you might want to call in your booking. I booked through the BW website not realizing I had a patio door going into the games room and swimming pool area. At the start of a long weekend there wasn't any option to change. I would return but be wiser. LOL

The location of this Best Western was very good for getting back and forth to the Park. Parking was excellent, area was quiet. The pool area does need some repairs, the stone flooring was crumbling in places. But the common area with badminton etc seemed to be well used by families/kids. Room was satisfactory, breakfast was very good. Wifi was very slow most of the times.

This was by far probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. First and last time I let my husband book a hotel room. If you are a family with children, you'll love this place. If you're a couple looking for some quiet time - you're going to be very disappointed with this hotel. Half the hotel rooms face the inner atrium which is a giant indoor playground for kids. There is a jungle gym, video games, a basketball court (right outside of our room - joy, joy), badminton court and pool tables. There are no windows to the outside - your room and sliding door face the atrium. The staff, while friendly, did not do enough to shut down the atrium at 10:00pm. I watched a security/maintenance guy try to get the kids off the equipment at 10:00pm and they simply ignored him. I ended calling the front desk complaining about the noise at 10:40pm. They were able to shut it down around 11pm. I was awake at 7:30a to the sound of bouncing basketballs and screaming kids outside my room. The rooms are dark, the sheets were pilled and the floor was dirty in our room. Couldn't wait to check out.

Definitely enough to keep your kids busy on a rainy day between the pool, indoor playground, gamesroom, and arcade. TV channel selections weren't great though (especially for kids) so don't expect to watch any movies in room.

We came to enjoy the local wineries. The restaurant and bar were stocked with a good selection of local labels. Staff were super friendly and attentive to guests. Wish we had found this place when are kids were little. Lots of fun to keep the young ones entertained.

This hotel had problems sadly. The room we were provided on check in had not towels, no phone, no alarm clock and no shampoo. The HVAC was broken in the room and sounded loud like a helicopter all day and night. The pool was full of human hair and chilling deck tiles all over. Day two we put a sigh to make up the room And only our towels were changed, coffee pods not refilled and beds not made. We are a family with one kid this was supposed to be a fun back to school road trip but it was a bit of a gross choice to stay here. I'm a fan of the best western brand but this hotel was overwhelmed and dirty at best

This hotel over all is pretty great , the pool is excellent but the slides are always closed , the middle room has pool and a play ground and tv buy all the lights get shut off at 10pm, feels like we have parents putting us to bed and we can't enjoy some time after the kids r asleep 12 would be a much more reasonable time , the beds are comfy though so that's a plus

Liked the dog friendly room, there are only 4 avail in the hotel. Was a but concerned as when I booked the hotel, I asked WHERE can my little dog go. I was told anywhere but food areas and the pool. I asked if the dog was allowed in the atrium (huge play area with indoor seating) and was toold a 100% for sure. Due to this I booked. When I arrived, I again verified that the dog can go to the lobby, anywhere out doors, the atrium and the room. They said again 100% for sure, just not the pool area.. as they dont want the dog(s) to make a run for the water.. which makes sence. On the first day, all the kids in the atrium were petting the dog.. etc. No issues. On the 2nd day I was told No. the dog can ONLY be in the room.. not the HUGE atrium as there may be someone allergic. I told here I called, and rechecked when I arrived and was ok,ed by all that were in the front desk. I was told the people at the front desk did not know what they were talking about. If I would have know.. I prob would not have booked. but since no one cared on the first night, and we were staying for only a 1 day get-a-way.. we just checked out.. and left... anyway. I wish they would get their policy correct, and if the people at the desk were new, they should have been properly trained before providing incorrect information. If you have no pets.. its a decent place to stay. Lots of things for kids to do.. more of a get-a-way type resort or a launching place for a Point Pelee visit (often bird watchers go to the Point.. and this would be a good hotel to stay at for that type of thing)

Smelled musty and mouldy. Atrium area was dirty and old. Equipment was old and needs to be replaced. Pool was falling apart. Common areas was too hot. It rained and the roof was leaking. Staff had to put buckets down. Mattress was lumpy. Our room was had a drip coming from the ceiling. Carpet was wet. Worst stay we've ever had.

Breakfast is closed at 930 during the week. Internet is choppy. Good value for the price. Pillows are soft. Beds were decent. Water pressure was ok. Could be cleaner. So far the best place I've stayed in Leamington. Did a bug check. Clean

The Best Western Leamington was a great location for a recent trip with my child's sports team. The atrium and the pool gave the kids lots to do to keep busy. I liked that the rooms opened up to the atrium so that you could see where other families were and where the kids were playing. However, for one of the nights of our stay there was a group who were really noisy in the atrium until past 12:30. Complaints were made to the front desk but nothing was done. The room did have an unpleasant musty odor, originating from the closet area, as long as you kept that door closed it was only a mIld smell.

A uniquely designed hotel, just on the outside of Leamington. Very close to Point Pelee. Rooms face into an atrium containing a "fun zone" for kids. This is a great idea and was one of the reasons I booked the hotel, but it was disappointing. We booked 2 nights at this hotel for my son's 10th birthday because of all the fun activities it advertises for kids, and it's close location to Point Pelee and Seacliffe Beach. All of the games, including air hockey and pool require payment of $2, only taking loonies. There were only 2 arcade games working and each of those required a loonie as well. The basketball net was broken off, so there was just a backboard, the badminton birdie was in such bad shape, it barely flew. While our room was clean, it does need updating. There were areas where the paint is peeling off the walls and it SO dark. Some of the outlets didn't work. There was a constant stream of ants coming under the trim in our bathroom. The a/c was set to 23 when we arrived, but it was VERY humid, so I turned it down to 21. It went down to 22, but never got down to 21 by the time I went to sleep, 7 hours after arriving and never went below 22, but felt very warm the entire stay. Beds were queens and comfortable. The common areas/fun zone were disgusting, with gum, garbage, and food all over the carpets, tables, and furniture. While I understand this is a guest issue, with people being ignorant and disrespectful, I feel that this was also an issue of lacking of regular cleaning. The stairwells were full of dead bugs and webs. They are supposed to be locked and require your room card to enter, but they are broken, so any one can enter, there's no security. The pool was fun with a large swimming area with sprinklers built in. There are 2 slides, but they are not in use, and look to have been closed for an extended period of time (this was advertised on small print on the website, but all of the pictures show the slides). Breakfast is available, but for a charge in the restaurant in the hotel. The website advertises the large, natural property the hotel sits on. It is pretty, but the path is overgrown and the landscaping hasn't been maintained. There is a boardwalk overlooking the marsh, but it's also closed. The young man who checked me in was very polite and kind, but he didn't have any knowledge of the area, where to eat, how to get into the National Park, etc. While this isn't the most expensive hotel I have stayed in, it wasn't cheap, and I would expect better upkeep and amenities for the prices that are being charged.

This place was so convenient to everything, shopping, the beach, restaurants, Point Pelee Conservation and the ferry docks. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean and reasonably priced. The games room made it fun for the whole family.

Ac in the room wasn't working well The card always had trouble opening the outside door that was filled with moths We asked for pet room and literally chose this hotel because it was pet friendly, but it is not pet friendly there is only four rooms that accept pets (almost always booked prior) and pets cannot be in the hotel at all.my dog that was with us from Atlanta on a road trip literally had no where to go we couldn't even bring him inside while we checked in. Another thing that led us to book this hotel was the waterslides that we saw in the pictures, when we get there it was closed - and I'm quite sure based off of reviews they have been closed for over a year, that is plenty time to take down the amenities that you are not offering

I visited with my husband and 2 kids, aged 4 and 6, for 2 nights. It is about an easy 8 minute drive to the entrance of Point Pelee National Park. We have a Discovery Pass for Parks Canada so we would visit the National park and then go back to the hotel to enjoy the indoor playground. The biggest part that we took note of, was that not only did the kids have lots to occupy themselves with- full size structure with 4 slides, smaller structure for preschoolers, climbing wall- but the adults, ie us, who are watching the kids, had something to occupy themselves with too, in the same space. basketball court, badminton, pool tables, ping pong! (Could also be used by older kids) Or to simply lounge in the many comfy seats in direct view of the structures. We were in disbelief. All the equipment was easily accessible at the nearby front desk. No signups necessary. The nice and warm pool had 2 separated areas- dedicated shallow end for the littles. That end was actually the landing area for the water slides that were not in use, but still lots of space. It was too bad we couldnt use the slides. They had towels poolside. There was a sign in the pool area that said there should be a total of 10 bathers in the pool and on the deck- which actually there were always more than 10….. and not that anyone was monitoring that. The playground area is separated from the pool area by a carded door (great way to keep the kids safe from the pool) but the carpet just outside the pool, is wet, which is understandable, but is kind of gross since kids run around in the playground area without shoes. Ie soggy. The hotel is very close to restaurants, ice cream shops, on the way to the National park. In the other direction, it is about 5 minutes away from Erie St where the big box stores are, along with a few awesome latin american eateries. (We had awesome tacos and churros from Salsa Caliente!) We had dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel, once, and it was decent. The service was excellent. All the employees at the hotel always say hi and actually ask if we need anything when we walk by. Super family friendly place. The place was a bit rough, in the room we stayed in. Scuffs on the walls, decor needs updating/brightening up, and the shower drain was slow, but we had a microwave and a larger than normal hotel fridge, to accommodate for our kid snacks/needs. Our A/C was working in our room but still somehow felt humid….. our clothes wouldnt dry…. Very practical, not fancy, but I guess that is Best Western! Lastly, why is the lobby so warm? Regardless, it was a fun stay. We will be back again.

Staff was really good and breakfast was great- totally worth the breakfast voucher. Overall the hotel is not maintained- squeaky door, wardrobe smell, damp room smell, remote not working well but from time to time. Roof A/C makes constant noice and if you are light sleeper, you will have hard time to rest. We report it and staff responded to check, said will see what they can do and no follow-up. In the courtyard the roof was leaking due to rain. If they spend money to make improvements would be very nice hotel.

We loved this hotel. It's set up in a way that allows all rooms to have back/easy access to a massive atrium with lots of entertainment, indoor park and massive pool. With kids, this was amazing. Would highly recommend if in the area. Minutes drive from groceries, national park and dock for Pelee island.

It's a good family hotel with so many things to do with the family, indoor play ground, pool, badminton court, pool tables, ping pong tables, will keep the family occupied. Staff are friendly. One down fall, maybe they're short staff, but rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, the bathtub drain was clogged and doesn't flow nicely. We asked someone to fix on the first day but no one came, and asked every day after and still was not resolved by the time we checked out. Over all stay was a nice hotel. My kids loved it.

Our two night stay with the extended family was a great success. There was plenty to do for the children, including the smallest. The rooms were convenient. Adults and children enjoyed the play area in the atrium and the pool. Having the restaurant as part of the hotel was very convenient.

This hotel has a whole indoor play area, climbing structure, pool, volleyball, basketball and video games. We were disappointed the water slides were not working since that's why we booked this hotel. Staff said it won't be open this year. The pool is open though. Staff was very friendly and our room was nice. If you're going to Pelee Park this is the place to stay.

This hotel is so friendly family oriented. My children love it they can play in the atrium and the pool from 8 am - 10 pm. Also good for all ages. Includes badminton,pool tables, ping pong, basketball. Plus there amazing kids jungle gym with rock climbing walls and slides. Pet friendly aswell. Staff is so friendly meeting all your extra needs.

We took a one day family trip to go on waterside swim and play unfortunately nobody that worked there could tell us that the water sides were out of service they didn't tell us that when we called they didn't tell us when we came to sign in and on top of that we were told to pay when we leave we did and they still charged us 210 for no reason at all unacceptable it will be my last time going

If you have children, this is the hotel for you!!! The hotel is one large rectangle, and the interior contains a volleyball court, ping pong tables, pool tables, a large TV and viewing area, a children's jungle gym AND a [secure] pool area! You never have to worry about the children 'getting lost' or 'getting outside' - it is all enclosed. The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. And it was CLEAN !

Took our grandson for a mini vacation to use the water slides .. Come to find out they have been broke for 2 years … Nothing mentioned on website saying that they were BROKE and when I checked in NOTHING was mentioned .. Drove 4 hours to visit and enjoy ourselves only to be disappointed ..

Okay stay/room for the price. The staff were very friendly, the hotel has lots of amenities, and the king size room was very big. The room was very clean when we got there, but not cleaned at all throughout our 4-day stay. The shower was faulty - water would pool out and there were no ledges in the stall to place stuff onto. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay.

Liked the location. It's a short distance to Point Pelee National Park, the marina, Leamington, and several good restaurants. The staff is courteous and friendly. The swimming pool is awesome. The playground, ping pong table, basketball court, and pool tables in the atrium were great.

We went specifically to this hotel for the indoor water slides that are shown on the website. Only to find that they haven't been operating in over 2 years and they don't tend to get them working again. Please note this on your website or take the photos down. The rooms are also run down and not very clean and the showers are so extremely short, if you're over 5'6” be prepared to crouch. Pros: The staff was great, food was delicious and the kids loved the indoor playground. This place needs some TLC and it could it be amazing.

The staff was always kind and when I needed to check out early they were so compassionate when I needed to leave early with short notice. I had stayed here many times over the last 20 years and a head above the rest.

The roast beef was served severely undercooked and could likely still moo, the temperature was uncomfortable, the thinnest of bed linens, hadn't seen housekeeping, the breakfast was sub par with slimy bacon, undercooked waffles and sausages that you couldn't recognize as sausage and the taste was horrible.

Wonderful hotel! The staff were so great, happy and helpful. The Hotel was clean and staff were available if needed. The pool and play equipment for children of all ages is great at keeping everyone entertained and busy. Excellent hotel for families with young children.

Kids LOVE coming here with an enormous play area and ping pong and badmington along with the pool. Breakfast is fantastic and delicious. Even on a busy long weekend lots of space and good service. Close to Point Pelee and golf across the road.

Often return to this BW due to location; book early at least 6-8 months for annual Festival of Birds or there will be no vacancy. Needs some cosmetic updates: wallpaper (separating and dated), cable needs channel guide, improve WiFi as it's weak, better pillows (too small and soft) & linens are fraying. Awesome having microwave, Keurig machine & small fridge in room. Staff accommodated requests. Loved having outward facing room & ground floor rather than facing fun room.

Misleading… the pictures of this hotel show an indoor pool with 2 water slides. Nowhere does it say that they aren't running. For $267 per night they should let you know that the slides haven't been running since Covid and they haven't bothered to get them running again. I will never stay here again. For a bit more money, I will go to kalahari or great wolf lodge.

A friendly and well maintained hotel. Room was clean, neat and in good condition. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Negatives (small but present) were no paper or pens to make notes, no wine glasses and had to go to restaurant to ask for them. Small microwave worked well and bar sized fridge was good. No supports for getting into or out of,bathtub/shower left me cautious. Price good for area during Festival of Birds at Pelee National Park.

Excellent stay at this clean hotel with organized and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant in premises and less than a 10 minute drive to the front gates of Point Pelee National Park. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is for a weekend of fun and games. Be aware of the additional $30 fee that is not noted on the reservation. There is no signage that I noticed from Hwy 3 to direct you to the facility. There is a good restaurant just east of the hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever. To list this hotel as suitable for a getaway is a joke. Website does not mention that all rooms have balconies over the "fun zone". And even though this zone supposed to close at 10 pm, it was a free for all including loud seemingly drunk parents yelling at close to midnight while they let their kids roam free. Staff did nothing about it until people started to complain. Room was not particularly clean, only half roll of toilet paper and 3 Kleenex in the box with no refills supplied. Unless you are looking for something like Great Wolf Lodge for the kids, avoid this place.

This hotel is our family's preferred destination when travelling in this area. The service is always exceptional, rooms are clean and the kids absolutely love the atrium. Breakfast at the restaurant is fabulous for the price. Service is friendly and food is fast and tasty. The location is close to activities and all the amenities you need. Highly recommended.

Great concept. Lots to enjoy. However, Filthy atrium and terrible management in dealing with guests and or issues that arise. It was a free for all and no one to monitor use or misuse of amenities. It's too bad. I was credited 50 dollars but it did not make up for the evening.

Lots of fun activities for the kids and there was lots for them to do. We would recommend this hotel for families with younger kids! Pool temperature was great and only concern was the slides were not open.

Great play structure for kids and activities for all ages. Our biggest letdown - the water slides being closed. Apparently the slides have been closed for a LONG time, but there's no mention of that on the website or while booking. The girl at reception thought they wouldn't ever reopen. The rooms were dated, but felt clean.

We had a great stay at this Best Western. The hotel's best asset is definitely their people, who were genuinely kind and accommodating. Our family enjoyed our adjoining rooms and the massive play area and pool. Room was clean and despite the hotel being somewhat in the middle of nowhere, it was only 5 minutes from the centre of basically, everything. My only call-out would be better pillows, but that's an issue at most hotels.

This hotel is terrible! If you value sleep go elsewhere. The atrium is absolute mayhem until 1am. Front desk does not answer the phone - only goes to voicemail. None of the hotel rules are enforced. The restaurant is mediocre at best if you have the patience to wait an hour for simple food. The front desk staff is rude, accomodation requests (room type/location) will not be honored. The rooms are very old, dark with broken fixtures, water damage everywhere and they smell. There is currently no servicing of rooms, so use your two towels and one coffee pod wisely. Will never go back here - filthy - horrible - chatoic - loud!

The ONLY reason for 2 stars over 0 stars is that we went for two nights the week after March Break and the place was empty and my kids had the place to themselves. I have NEVER stayed at a hotel that was so visibly unclean. I wanted to leave immediately but the area is so remote there's no where to go. We booked a family suite which has two queen beds in one room and a King in another room and housekeeping left us with 4 squares of toilet paper, in a room that sleeps 6+ people. We were also short on towels and no one told us how to get pool towels, nor did they come to replace towels after our first night and we had to use our bath towels for the pool. There seemed to be no one working here, certainly no one cleaning this place. All the activities in the atrium were so dated, broken, or just no equipment available to use them. The slides in the pool area were closed because they hadn't bothered to maintain them, not due to Covid. Our room was so dark it was like a dungeon, yet I could still see the fingerprints on every surface when we first walked in. Toilet seat broken, sink faucet leaked water, toilet and shower and bathroom door visibly disgustingly dirty. I wiped everything with Lysol before I let my family touch anything. This place had the potential to be great, but it was terribly disappointing for us. We would not recommend and never return.

Rented 1 room for one night during March break for two adults 4 kids. We booked it a month before online through the best western website. Room was supposed to be ground level atrium so the kids could just run in and out of the room to go play. We ended up on the third floor on the back of the building with no elevator or windows. They basically said there was nothing they could do for us and that was the room we were stuck with. So for the kids to get to the atrium they had to go down the back stairs three flights, past the outside door to the parking lot, which was propped open with a rock because the lock was broken. We did end up getting a free breakfast out of the error with the room. The room itself was ok.

everything was fine, cooling wasn't working in 212, but we had a fan. Dining room needed more help when we were there at 6 pm. Check-in time needs to be at least 2 pm not 4pm, as when doing a one night -it is not long enough to enjoy all the activities when check-out is 11 ??????

The room was great, the staff was kind and helpful. The room was ready much earlier than anticipated. The pool was fun for the kids, as was the atrium activities. The only (major) downfall was that the pool slides were closed. I had called weeks earlier when booking and specifically asked if it would be open, and so we were disappointed when that wasn't the case.

5 out of 5 because we travelled with kids. Awesome pool/water park, incredible games/play area, all the space in the world! I question the sanity of travellers staying here without kids or grandkids though - kids are EVERYWHERE!! So much fun and plenty to keep you occupied on-site for days. Only a 5 minute drive to some fun restaurants too but reservations are a must though because the restaurants are smaller and not designed to accommodate groups. The staff at the hotel were so so nice - every single person. Great stay. Thanks!

It was such an enjoyable night at the Best western. My daughter spent hours in the activity zone and swimming and us adults were able to watch from our balcony while enjoying social time. Things were shut down by 10pm so we all slept wonderful, and by 8am we could hear the buzz of people playing again. We will be returning to this location again for sure

Mini vacation with another couple had a great time. Would definitely recommend to any one with kids or just to get away for a staycation. Lots of wineries within a 30-45 km radius. Would be really nice in spring or fall to go to pelee island.

Great amenities for families. But not very good if you need to request a certain room. Thankfully most covid restrictions were lifted just 2 days before our arrival or the cost would have been over $200/night just to basically stay in your room.

The staff was exceptional, very attentive and welcoming. The pool was nice even though the water slides were closed. The rooms are in need of a major overhaul however. My room had mold in the bathroom ceiling as well as patch work drywall not completed, also a short toilet seat on a elongated toilet. The door to the bathroom looked us out twice. The tv picture was so bad/old that we were not able to watch the hockey game. The hotel itself is very nice just needs some room updating. Little pricey for the location and the rooms.

I recommend anyone with kids to stay at the Best Western in Leamington. we got there at 2pm-My granddaughter played from the time we got there until 10pm when everything closed down-The staff is great and the kids love running around-Adults loved it to as they can relax and watch the kids play-

Close to Point Pelee Natl Park & some nice towns to tour. Hotel is noisy tho as there is a great play area for kids plus a pool so it would be good for people to realize as it might bother some. Also no elevator in the wing we were in which might be hard for some

Stayed here only because it was near Point Pelee National Park. I wished we had driven to next town! Lobby & exterior looked ok. However, room 217 had the following issues: (1) carpet badly stained; (2) lock on balcony broken; (3) burned out light bulbs; (4) extremely noisy A/C unit; and worst of all - (5) after drinking one cup of coffee, we discovered that the water compartment of the Keurig machine had some king of weird / awful debris in it! Ugh! Even with A/C unit off, the room was very noisy! Bathroom is very small and tub is dangerously slippery - no grab bars and no anti-slip strips. Hotel is very over-priced for this kind of room. The term flea bag comes to mind.

This is the longest review I have ever written for a hotel. It needs all of the words. I strongly ask all travellers to avoid room 101 at the Best Western Plus in Leamington. I am not familiar with how Best Westerns operate, so some of this may be endemic to the chain on the whole. In the PRO column, the room had ample space to put things (especially in the bathroom), a comfortable bed, a very good room thermostat, a good desk and chair, direct access from the room to the parking lot through a sliding door, a wonderful pool which was up and working, and very pleasant staff, especially their maintenance staff. However, there was much more in the CON column. First of all, despite the room being advertised as “accessible”, the only accessibility was that it was on the lower floor and two bars for the toilet and to get into the bathtub. As far as I am concerned, the minimal standard for an accessible room is a walk-in shower, but to get those you have to get a “suite”, and not an “accessible room”. This is by no means clear from the website. As well, there was no glassware in the rooms, just cheap paper cups which leaked. We had to buy glassware at the dollar store! The hot water setting on the taps made a terribly loud rumbling sound, the mirror was not firmly affixed to the wall and nearly came down twice, there was no working telephone (which I am sure we have been the only people to test in years...), the clock had a font which was impossible to read at some points, and the television randomly turned itself on at 6:00 every morning and we could not figure out how to disable this function. Plus, the road to the hotel itself is not very well marked, and the dinner options in the restaurant were limited and disappointing. There also were no bathrobes, but perhaps I have been spoiled by other hotels in that respect. Perhaps there are better rooms than room 101. We should have heeded George Orwell and immediately asked for a different room. We will certainly never consider this property in the future.

Location's close proximity to Point Pelee National Park is best feature. Hotel itself leaves much to be desired. For high price, expect not to have no elevator services to 3rd-floor rooms (stairs only). Broken furniture. Plumbing fixtures loose, falling out of wall. Almost no water pressure. Rooms very clean. But pool closed indefinitely ("lack of parts"), on-site restaurant closed, etc. -- not impressed. Place was nearly deserted. Quiet at least.

Cleanliness and staff were fine, but the bed at this hotel was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on in any hotel ever. We pretty much got no sleep whatsoever, got up and left the hotel about 7am to drive home and so we could get some sleep. If you're not looking for a place to sleep, it's a fine choice, but if you're looking for a place to sleep, try any place else.

I am a brand new business that specializes in hosting women's craft retreats. This past weekend I hosted a 3 day event in the Monarch ball room for 19 women. We had 7 meals catered and used several guest rooms. The food was delicious. The service was next level. The staff could not have been any more accommodating to my guests. I had several guests with very specific dietary restrictions and they worked hard to take care of every one of them. My guest survey indicated an overall dining score of 83%. There were a few minor concerns with housekeeping issues but I don't think some of my guests realized that housekeeping cannot enter your room during your stay. Overall....Top notch! We will be back!

We were here August 30 - 31st, had to be in town for a family event. We picked this hotel partially on other reviews, location and amenities. The hotel is easy to find , and in a nice setting across from a golf course. The lobby was bright, clean and attractive with a restaurant style easting area and bar. The desk person greeted us fast and was polite, helpful and informative. We had asked for a ground floor room as one of our party uses a walker. We had a room that opened out onto the indoor play area, and though there were people playing pool and some kids you couldn't hear them in the room. The room itself was exceptionally clean and well maintained . The beds ended up being quite comfortable and lots of pillows. We got some soup and fries as a late snack and both were very good. ***Breakfast is not icluded******* We did go and get breakfast in the restaurant, it was fairly priced and nice. Zoe? the server charming. I'd have given a 5/5 stars except the pool was closed and this was not disclosed on the website . It looks like a fun one with a couple of water slides (indoor to boot) . It was waiting on a part for the chlorine system ? With todays technology there's no reason this couldn't be on either Best Western and the hotels own page that the pool is closed. When you charge the highest room rate in town , everything should be as advertised. Overall we'll no doubt stay here again next time in town . I spoke to a few staff during our brief stay here and all were very nice and obviously understood and practiced the concept of Hospitality industry.

Coffee machine was dirty. Staff were wearing their masks under their noses even though the hotel has signs everywhere saying to cover your mouth and nose. Two staff members checking me out had their mask under their noses and when I asked them why they weren't wearing it properly they said they have the plexiglass, but the server behind the bar didn't wear her mask properly either and their was no plexiglass there. They should follow their own policy.

Thank you for accommodating my request for a 2-queen room when there would be a cancellation. And for your trust, when I had forgotten my CAA card. In spite of this, you still gave me my 10% discount. Awesome!

#1 in Leamington? Seriously?! The first room we've got was on the 3-d floor with no elevator. We had to carry all our bags upstairs. To find that the fridge in the room doesn't work and leaking. We brought some food and like our water cold in this ht weather. The room had no day light, no window, only glass balcony sliding door overlooking internal courtyard. The toilet seat like 2" smaller than the toilet itself! We asked to be transferred to another room but got an answer they are fully booked and no rooms available. We had friends staying in another hotel near the beach, so we left to check availability there. Unfortunately, none. An hour later we've got a call from our hotel about room that just became available – cancellation. Happy we came back and moved there. The fridge indeed worked, but the phone didn't and no remote for TV. I wend down to ask for remote and was given one to come back to the room and find it doesn't work – no batteries. Another trip downstairs. The service and maintenance are below 1 star, I wonder was I so unlucky or who gave them all these good reviews? Not to mention that first picture on the website shows nice swimming pool with slides, but after you book you get an email saying they are closed due to Ontario covid regulations. Lie, I travelled to BC, Alberta and Ontario during the covid, all have pools open with time slots or limited number. No regulation demands the pools closed! Feeling frustrated. And did i mention the water leaking form the ceiling? Likely from AC.

Friendly caring staff , clean rooms and property. Yes the pool is not open and that's a bummer. My big kids liked playing pool in the atrium what a great space. Super close to Point Pelee which was lovely. We ate dinner at the restaurant great food , server was great as well even though she was super busy. Definitely visit again when your pool opens :)

This hotel is in need of some major refurbishing While the price is not bad they need to have better a manager that is not interruptive when the front desk is trying to deal with a paying customer who is trying to check out I definatly will not be returning to this facility

Great spot to stop off on a trip to Pelee Island. The location and the hotel we located near the ferry docks. The hotel was clean and well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful at check in and check out. We did not take advantage of the breakfast offering only because of the constraints and cautions of COVID times.

we took our grandkids the arcade was lacking but the playhouse was fun for them and the pool looked awesome but was closed the pond and grounds was an added bonus room for them to run they had me promise to return

We booked a night here back in May once Ontario set a Covid reopening plan. We live in London, and have 3 small kids. We have a local Best Western but it just has a pool, which is open, and the leamington one seemed way better for our family to celebrate. We invited another family to come join us as well. 2 months later our trip came, and we were excited to make up for missed birthdays due to lockdown for our four and six year olds. Upon arrival, we checked in without issue. Front desk explained where to park, and confirmed that we did have a family suite as per our booking. Checking into the room was fine. It was boiling hot but the air conditioning seemed potent. But wait, it doesn't go into the bedrooms and only comes into the sitting area of the suite and you need fans to circulate it. We change into our bathing suits and head down to the play area. What do we discover? The doors to the pool have signs on them that say “Windsor Essex is in the red zone. Pool closed no entry.” Not once during booking, not once in the two months since booking, not once at check in did anyone mention that the entire reason we drove the two hours was not even available. Not a single time. I go back to the desk and say “hey so Essex is long oit of red zone, is that sign on the door just not taken down yet?” “No, the pool is closed.” “Why?” “We don't get inspected by the ministry until august and then once they approve it we have to hire a life guard” I tell them we are there to celebrate a birthday and my kids came to swim. Blank stares. I ask if there's a beach nearby. Eric at the desk says to me “I think there's one down the road but I haven't been since I was a kid” I then have to ask for towels to take to the beach. Three times. I head back to the (no) “fun zone” to my four year old son who didn't get a birthday party during lockdown wistfully staring through the giant pool windows and turns to me and says “I sure wish we could go in there.” Pools are full. Water's on. My wife and I are great swimmers. Two other families in the hotel other than us and the family we came with. But no pool for us. The common areas are all open but not really open. Everything's turned off. TVs in atrium and lobby. Fitness centre is closed. Restaurant in the lobby isn't even open today (I'm reviewing from my room) and on other days is takeout only. We went to play on the playground and play games in the “arcade” and guess what? All but three of them are broken. Some just eat your money. Some the buttons are stuck. Some aren't even plugged in. We end up trying to grab dinner and picnic at the public beach. All the restaurants are closed. Wendy's it is. Public beach and splash pad are an absolute Sideshow because leamington is still basically on lockdown in stage 3 of re opening and there's nothing else to do. Wendy's on the beach with wasps everywhere was good enough for the kids thankfully. We come back to the hotel around 830 and guess what? We have one roll of toilet paper in our suite for 5 and she gone. And my kids need to poop and there's no other bathrooms available. Great. I then hear from my friend that his ceiling is leaking and that Eric first offered him $40 off his bill. And then offered to change rooms when told that wasn't cutting it. But that he can't give any other discounts and that he's the only staff member here and in his first week. Eric tried calling and texting his gm at home and no answer. It's 9:30 and I have two kids who missed birthdays and were supposed to celebrate them today feeling hugely let down by this giant pool that they're not allowed to use when other best westerns in our part of the province have theirs open and no one told us this one was closed and saved us a 4 hour round trip. I have another kid celebrating a birthday tomorrow and there's nowhere to even eat a celebratory breakfast as a family when she would've gotten balloons and a celebration at home during a sit down family meal even. We have friends that we can't socialize with because their kids are sleeping and they're nowhere near us. And they're sleeping in a room with a leaking ceiling because they're refusing a $40 discount or dragging their sleeping kids out of bed as compensation. My wife wants to go home but we are two hours away and have a dog sitter sleeping over at our house already so here we are. Thanks best western leamington.

A very nice hotel staff was very pleasant on arrival explained how to get to a room where to park and of course explained the Covid protocols that were still in place unfortunately We enjoyed our two days today and will definitely come back thanks Steve

We decided to stay at this hotel because it is close to Point Pelee park. Gentleman at reception was very helpful and polite, explained all there is to know about the hotel. Parking is in a secure and well-lit area. Lobby was clean and maintained. Rooms were average, except for the litter of dead bugs in the balcony. You can't go out there since they're all over the place. No one bothered to clean it, maybe they assumed that guests will not go out there. Side entrance was left ajar by some guests who plan to enter without keycards, a breach in the security measures of the hotel. Anyone can just march in there from the side door without staff knowing it. No alcohol allowed in the area, you 'd have to go outside. No free breakfast, nor is there a hair dryer found in the room, which is supposed to be a default item in a hotel. May not return here and look someplace else.

The hotel has many amenities (a large pool, indoor playground, rock climbing wall, pool tables, arcade games), but they were closed due to COVID. It seems that the maintenance of basic amenities was also being overlooked. Most rooms did not have ACs. We switched the room that we had booked to the last one with AC. When we arrived at the room, the door was kept open with some wet towels on the floor. I called the reception, and the receptionist showed up to check the door, and it turned out that the key card was not working. We were offered a physical key to the balcony door. The wet towels were not removed the next day we were leaving. The sink in the bathroom wasn't flushing properly (did not report).

Rooms facing inside are very dark, facing the indoor play area, no access to fresh air or natural light. Room could use some freshening up, phone missing from room, back of bathroom door missing hook (holes and ore ious paint still visible). Back door entrance to property has no key swipe. Room on main floor was very warm, fan noisy. Staff was pleasant. A little attention to details would make this a great place stay.

This location is a great place to stay. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Even though some of the amenities are not available due to COVID, the food and rooms are great. I stay here often for business and have always been served well. Know that if you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Staff ( Stephanie) very helpful, customer service impeccable, however my accommodations were screwed up with my phone in booking. Did a lot of unnecessary hauling, walking and seeking which should not have happened in the first place if the person at front desk had listened to my request in the beginning when booking, two weeks in advance. Error was rectified, however morning breakfast is NOT included like ALL other BW. Explanation private franchising ...not impressed

Even with COVID 19 restrictions: The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The room was clean, modern and well laid out. The faily sports and Pool area were well suited for young/old family, including grandchildren and grandparents. We were even able to watch a wedding party take pictures within the lounge. And the tour de force was the awesome 90th birthday event that the staff put on in their converence room which was clean, roomy, lght and well located within the building. There were a few glitches with wifi and audio that the staff worked valiantly to remedy. I would recommend this location highly to anyone seeking similar accomodation in the area.

Had a weekend getaway here and though the activities were great fun, there were many disappointments. They closed the pool and atrium at 9pm due to covid. I felt the place was a bit run down, and could have been better priced since not all activities were available (pool slides and play centre), and shortened hours. I understand paying for the arcades, but the pool table? Really? I brought my teen and tween and we had to go to our room at 9pm due to shortened hours. In the morning, we spent over an hour having breakfast...took forever to be served. Then it was 10:30, and had to check out by 11am. They wouldn't let us check out and still use the atrium for a bit. Not at all flexible. The door to our room did not close properly and had a lot of paint peeling off and the side entry door card reader did not work. A vent in the room had a very noisy fan in it all the time...Positives: allowed our dog to join us, beds were extremely comfortable, nice atrium and activities (badminton, ping pong and basketball).

We just stayed at this Hotel and it was an awesome experience very clean during COVID-19 and friendly staff! My child enjoyed this space very much very kid friendly ! Will def. come back and recommend to other ppl to go and visit! And very close to Point Pelee National Park!

My team and I had the opportunity to stay at the Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre for two weeks and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The staff was always kind, warm and welcoming always, they took the time to go over and above to help us with our stay. From the management going the extra mile to make sure our needs were met, to the always positive front desk people answering questions thoroughly and thinking ahead of our needs and making excellent suggestions, to the hard-working cleaning staff and grouds people, we were well taken care of every step of the way. I personally stayed in room 212 which was very clean and well serviced with our team booking several rooms in the hotel this was in fact the common experience. The hotel also has some really nice amenities and the area around the hotel is very beautiful as well as it is just a stones throw from the water and some beautiful sunsets. I look forward to my next stay at the Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre and I can't thank the staff their enough for their caring and excellent service. For anyone and everyone considering a stay in Leamington or the surrounding area I highly recommend this Best Westen as your first choice.

Great service, clean and has all the amenities. We had a last-minute change to the reservation and Carolyn and her team was super accommodating! I would have employees stay here again when in town. GREAT JOB!

I was not pleased that the hallways are freezing or no elevator access on the north side...the price was high considering check in is at 4 and u have to leave by 11...reservations took me hours to complete and nobody wanted to give me anything to make me a happy costomer, they totally screwed up our breakfast order and still charged us 40 bucks.....overall not happy...the only good thing I can say is we had a good time with our kids in the pool area even though the pool is kind of dangerous because of all the sharp edges in the pool...and the slides only run for a few hrs during the day and night if parents have to watch their kids anyway why can't the slide be on all the time ?

Had a great time at this hotel. Booked the family room for two nights. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Hotel was very clean, pool nice and warm. Grand kids loved it! On the weekends would recommend bringing lawn chairs for the Atrium and beach towels.

We brought our 4 yr old and 6mth old along with our 11 and 7 year old nephews and everyone had a blast. There was something for all ages. Recommend getting an atrium view so you can see your kids from the balcony. Kids loved the water slides. Note that on friday at 4 the lifeguards open the slides. Prior to that the slides are closed. Free wifi, coffee and water in the main entrance. Free pool towels. Bring lots of loonies for the crappy arcade games that your kids will want to play. Nice local family getaway. All around 5 stars

We wanted to get away for a night with the kids. We had the best time!! The kids were able to run and play while we sat and relaxed. It was a Wednesday night so it was quite quiet which is why we chose this time. The water slides don't run during the week, but it made no difference to us. Kevin the afternoon maintenance man was wonderful....any little problems or questions we had he tended to right away. Everything was very clean and all staff was great! Will be back soon!! It was 4 Moms and 7 kids boys and girls age 8-13.

Average room. We came to visit the Peelee area and the water slide and activities were the draw to stay here and it is fun for kids. We arrived in a crazy rain storm so there was a lot of flooding in the pool area and in the parking lot. Lobby is new and modern. If you are a travel agent, beware booking this property directly for yourself or clients, they don't return your calls or pay commission. Chris at front desk is a gem!

We stayed at Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel & Conference Centre with our son's hockey team, as a weekend gateway. The atrium is a kid's paradise: there is something for all ages to play, from basketball, to badminton, pool, play equipment... The swiming pool has slides, which is also fun for kids. Our son and all his teammates had a blast there. The room we had was spacious, very clean, and quiet. We will definitely return.

Fun for kids, lots of play options, fun pool with 2 waterslides, a lot of screaming kids running around all the hallways in the evening. Bring your own folding chairs if you plan on sitting near the play area. Book early to get an atrium floor room. The restaurant stops serving breakfast at 11 am on Sundays so get there early or you'll get no breakfast!

Friendly staff and many things to do for kids big and small. Had a room by play area which was very convenient. Was surprised how sound proof the rooms were. It was a very relaxed stay and was fun for all. We were a group of 12 with 6 adults and 6 children from ages 2-7. The only thing I would maybe suggest is bringing your own towels for pool area as the ones there are very small. Would defiantly return.

I stayed here for 10 days and the hotel is ok but if you have a problem and ask some one they say they will have maintenance look at it but nothing changes. My toilet was a elongated and had a round toilet seat on it. ( it looked like a potty seat ). The hotel is so busy on the weekend the housekeeping only did half a job. I asked about it and they said they had to leave early but no other answer. The restaurant has good food and the waitresses are good except one that worked in the morning she was terrible everyday she worked I was late for work. The inside was nice and if my kids were with me they would have loved it.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were treated very well all weekend and made some beautiful memories. We had unfortunately been involved in a family emergency and didn't know if we could come, and the front desk staff were understanding and compassionate. Thank you. We look forward to bringing our friends!

The pool is amazing, the play area is great! We didn't have any hot water to shower with at any part of our stay but the hotel attendant said they were at full capacity and the pipes on the side of the building that we are on are older. So freezing cold showers for our family but the rest was enjoyable.

Feces left on the side of the pool. Took 3 requests and an girls embarrassment before the issue was looked after. This was suppose to be a fun day, spending time with family and swimming. That turned, into the worst day ever for a young tween. I was so shocked, my heart was aching for the child. This should of never of happened, the area just needed to be blocked off.

In October I stayed at this hotel for a conference. This was quite a pleasant stay. The hotel seemed to be new as the rooms were fairly modern, definitely clean and very comfortable. The view from my room wasn't anything to speak about but then I was on business so that did not bother me. The important thing is that when I retired to bed it was very quiet and comfortable. The conference provided breakfast which was very good but even so the hotel provides a counter where one could grab a cup of coffee, a fruit, some cereal etc on the house. My only concern was: 1 The bar closed a bit early 9pm. 2 The check-in was a little bit slow because an entire bus load of us came to the check-in counter all at once. 3 The location is a bit "out-of-the-way". It felt like it was on the edge of town with no possibility to walk to any shopping area. All in all, I would definately stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Had a great time with the kids. Enjoyed the pool, playground equipment, DJ, and New Year's Eve celebrations. We will come back. Thought price was a bit high, but understand it's probably because it was a popular night.

Stayed at the Best Western Plus in Leamington over the holidays with 4 couples + 8 kids. We all booked the hotel over two months ago and all specifically asked for ground floor atrium rooms. Upon arrival at 4 pm which is their check in time, we were told all of the ground floor atrium rooms we already booked. We told the front desk manager and staff we all requested SPECIFICALLY the ground floor atrium rooms and we all showed them our emailed confirmation noting that. Their explanation was that “sorry, I can see a relatively new staff member made your reservations and he must have assumed you only needed an Atrium VIEW, not the ground floor atrium room. Meanwhile as we were in the line up of people to check in, they literally just checked in two couples ahead of us into a ground floor room. I was livid..: the ONLY reason we came on this date was because the “new employee” at the front desk said that all four families could get GROUND FLOOR ROOMS! Ridiculous!!!! Anyhow we got whatever was given to us and tried the make the best of our stay. THE POOL - closed down twice due to “floating poop” in the pool. Just be aware there will be many screaming kids as the alarm gets sound for everyone to vacate the pool. Also note that the pool constantly runs out of towels. Bring your own. I did ask a maid staff member as she was in the cleaning room folding regular bathroom towels if I could grab a few for my dripping soaking wet children who were freezing, as the pool ran out of towels - she told me “no we can't give you any towels”... What kind of horrible hotel is this? Don't recommend it at all... take the time to travel to London to a hotel there - its much more worth it! Horrible management, horrible hospitality

We were really disappointed when we were inquiring information about booking our room on the dates we had required, every time we called we were given a different answer by different employee.Bad communication between employees.But the employee at the hotel once we got there were helpful and courteous. The heating in our room became unbearable to sleep the thermostat was not working it was 75 degree and the fan in the room from the heating was really loud enough to keep you up.We had reported it to one of the maid services but the situation was not resolved Otherwise the place is a great place to enjoy a family vacation, the children had loved it!!

My kids absolutely loving going here! They pick this for their big Christmas gift and they make new memories every year they go! This place is 100% geared for children. They can come and goes as they please and do whatever they want. They can just be kids!

Overall good hotel. Keep in mind this is a family hotel. The indoor play and pool areas start getting kids at 8am and does it echo! If you are a family this hotel is for you. If you are single and looking to get your freak on and sleep in? Well your freak will get on then you will wake up 7-8am miserable.

What a wonderful facility! We had so much fun with our kids and grandkids. The pool and water slides where a huge hit. We all had fun with all the activities that were provided. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The rooms were very nice and clean with great comfortable beds. Here is a bit of advice for people staying here. Bring lawn chairs as there was limited seating provided in the Atrium. We will definitely be visiting again!

My family just had our Christmas at the best western this past weekend there is over 60 of us who attend. The overall stay was absolutely Amazing! But I really have to give Ashley the night time house cleaning employee a HUGE thank you. You went above and beyond in understanding I had a 7 week old that I could not leave, when others from our group were being kicked out of the atrium to go to the lobby. You allowed me and the 6 in our smaller group to stay outside the room for my children. You take pride in your work and you can see you truly enjoy what you do. Thank you. Merry Christmas !

This conference centre hosted our Discovery Day field trip. 140 secondary school students attended this day - which consisted of presentations, employer/community partner panels and an actual tour of different areas on the Best Western property. The entire day was focused on helping students learn about potential career pathways and the skills that are required for today's world of work. As the organizer of the field trip, I was so impressed with the super-friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent food and cleanliness of all areas of the hotel. The little touches mean so much - the sign put out to welcome our students, the tasteful decor in the Monarch Banquet Room and the quick response to a staff member with a dietary restriction. Please pass on a BIG THANK YOU to the entire team at the Best Western - especially Amy Willms who planned everything with me over e-mail...and the panel/tour guides/hotel management - Ed, Danielle, Michelle, Stephanie, Amy and Carolyn. Thank you for giving our students such a valuable and informative experience. (Many of the teachers, including myself, will be bringing our families here for future getaways - can't wait for my children to have a blast at the Best Western Plus Leamington). Great common space for kids. It was hard to get wet in the shower with no water pressure. After showering there was standing water in the tub. Yuck. Pretty expensive for a small town motel. Breakfast was good with a nice waitress.

We've stayed at this hotel several times, most recently for a family event in Leamington. It is very well run, and the atrium with the common area activities like ping pong and badminton are fantastic for kids and family gatherings.

Had an excellent stay , room was clean service was great . Had a lot of help from Tyler or Taylor Unsure of his name, he provided excellent service and deserves credit . Thanks best western we had a great stay !

They had a blast - Room was feet away from the slide - room was lovely and clean - pool and water amenities were wonderful. Staff was considerate and polite and breakfast was delicious! What more could we ask - oh and the price was fair. My husband and I will take the grandkids on our own in February.

Lifeguards are on their phones playing games, listening to music, socializing and eating. Everything except doing their job while on duty. Massive sharp hole in the pool deck tile and lifeguards couldn't care less when made aware of the issue. Website says $10/day for dog but when you check your bill they charge $15/day upon checkout. My room lock broke and they had to move us from 1st floor to 3rd floor. Nobody helped us move and this was extremely inconvenient as we had a dog with us. The management was made aware of these and many other issues we had during our stay and she said she would make it right and said they would credit back 1 of 2 night charges we stayed as we pretty much lost a whole day of family activities due to needing to move our room after waiting 2 hours to have them fix our door. However, management never actually refunded anything for our troubles and waste of money at this hotel. I've stayed at many different hotels and I've never been so disappointed in a hotel stay.

Perfect for kids! Accommodating staff! Abit noisy right up to pool closing, which is expected, so don't stay thinking it's going to quiet down anytime too early! Very quiet thru the night! We stayed on the top floor!

We booked an accessible room. I emailed to make sure it was accessible. They said yes and put us in queen suite. Yikes. It was a nightmare. Only one bar in the bathroom. No bars in shower/tub no bars or arms for toilet. NOT accessible.

Would definitely visit again! If you are looking for an amazing kid friendly hotel this is where it's at. There was so much to do from swimming to basketball to ping pong to a massive jungle gym. The hotel was spotless and the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.

Our family stayed at Best Western Plus Leamington over the weekend and were amazed by all the amenities there for the kids to enjoy. From water slides, to arcade games, ping pong tables, basketball and more, our kids enjoyed all of the activities that were available in the play atrium. We had a pizza dinner in the restaurant which everyone enjoyed. We look forward to coming back again next year!

The hotel is in a nice location but far from the town center. The front desk staff if friendly. My original was a bit of a disaster. TV and phone not functioning and the room was freezing. Thermostat was set to 11 Celcius. Was offered another room finally and it was much better. Being off season, I thought the price point would have been better. The breakfast was good and fast. However, everything was closed when we checked in. The area is beautiful and I would likely return but I would ask for an outside room. Since the play area can but quite loud.

Point Pelee is close by for hiking. The hotel is perfect for families. Lots to do. The pool with slides is great and so is the open courtyard with basketball net, badminton, pool table, air hockey, climbers and lots of seating and space for kids to play while you have a good view of the action or join in. The restaurant is pricey but most hotel restaurants are.

We did have a leak in ceiling and very noisy group next door...staff were very accomodating and moved us to a more private room. We were very lucky to get the pool area to ourselves for an hour, so bonus points with us!

It was so perfect and all staff went above and beyond for our special day. The rooms were very nice and good sizes. We had a pet friendly room that was on the first floor and close to a door for easy access for our fur-babies. We switched into a suite for our wedding night, and even though it wasn't pet-friendly it was very spacious and the guys were all able to get ready together as they allowed us to get early check-in. Such an incredible hotel, and can't wait to go back for another stay!

Service good and soutable for family with kids. But hotel seems to be aging and the room I stayed in was noisy from the atrium and hallway. My room temperature varied 3 to 4 degrees and had noise from the roof from the AC compressor. When leaving in the morning there was water dripping from the ceiling

We went here for a two night stay for my daughter's birthday. The families that came with us had a blast and we did too! The pool was lots of fun, the easy atmosphere of the atrium made the whole stay relaxing and there is lots for the kinds to do! We will definitely be going back!

Upon check in everything looked, appeared fine. My daughter was excited to use the pool/slide so didn't have a chance to thoroughly inspect. We came back from the pool, and there was a large black bug crawling in the floor, after we disposed of the bug we noticed the floor appeared to be uncleaned, there was also a Gatorade bottle under the bathroom sink. We notified the front desk about the bug, and they simply offered to have housekeeping come in and vacuum the floor. We never were given an apology for lack of cleanliness. I hold Best Western to a higher standard than this, especially since it was over $300 for 2 nights. I'm truly disappointed.

My husband and I went at the end of September and had the warm pool to ourselves all 3 nights although he did step on something and got a small cut on his toe :( Lots of fun things to do at hotel and most of the staff were great.

This hotel was in a great location and offered awesome amenities for our kids. We were initially worried about the noise level for our kids bedtime...but there wasn't anything that disturbed their slumber! We had a family suite and the only downside was the a/c that didn't really circulate throughout the bedrooms; but it was cool enough outside that the open window helped. We will definitely return!

We planned on staying here for my mother's 60th birthday. We checked in around 3PM. While unloading my truck and making first trip to room, my daughters play pen (where she sleeps when in hotel) was stolen from the back of my truck. I reported this to front desk, OPP were notified and came to investigate. We were very puzzled at this, as there was only about 10 minutes when the play pen could have been stolen. There are cameras facing directly at my truck, so I asked front desk to review footage. They did, and told Me that they seen me unloading truck, but there is 10 minute gap where the camera stopped working. Ironically, it was when the play pen was stolen. About 4 hours later, my sister and her husband (who were also staying with young kids) requested a hotel supplied play pen for their daughter to sleep in, as they did not bring theirs from home. The staff then showed up to my sisters room (next door to ours) with OUR EXACT PLAY PEN!!! It was our identical patterned Grayco (brand new) playpen, even had my golden retrievers dog hair in it...so we knew it was ours. We were furious. OPP were called again, and are currently investigating. Staff was acting very weird after this. We did get our play pen back. Needless to say, all 8 of us packed up at 9PM and left the hotel, as we Could no longer trust anyone that worked there and we did not feel safe having ours families there. This is a HUGE deal. Totally ruined my moms 60th, and there is not a chance we will ever be back. They would not let me view camera-footage, as they were not legally obligated too. I did read another review on here that mentioned stolen items out of someone's room. My thoughts are, a staff member stole this out of my truck....got frightened once OPP showed up, then dumped It in with the other “hotel supplied” playpens. Thank god my sister requested One, or we probably never would have seen it again.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Leamington and we were thrilled we did. There is so much for the kids to do including a pool with a splash pad and waterslide, an indoor playground, ping pong, basketball and a little arcade. The restaurant on site has great food and is reasonably priced. There is also lots to do around the area - Point Pelee, Colisantis etc. Highly recommend visiting with a few families as it's also great for the grown ups to gather in the atrium once the kids go to sleep.

Excellent location if you plan to visit Point Pelee National Park for the day. Clean updated hotel great place if you are bringing children excellent games area, pool and water slide. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

My grandson had a good time and enjoyed the pool and the play room. However, Wi Fi did not work. No cable TV. No telephone in room. Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. Advertise a basketball court but there isn't one as the backboard is broken. Arcade room has few machines but 2 out of order and change machine out of order. Don't need key card to get into building-not secure.

Made a random stop in Leamington, Ontario. Not many hotel choices to stay right along Lake Erie, but the BW was very close to the shores, and enjoyed a morning run along the lake. Drove up and made a reservation.

I think the major draw or up-side of this hotel is all the kid friendly activities. Since we stayed overnight to take-in Point Pelee Island the next day, we simply didn`t have enough time for the kids to enjoy. However, it was quite impressive to see all the family centered activities! There was billiard tables, table tennis, basketball, a climbing structure +the pool. The rooms were....okay. Breakfast is not offered as part of your stay but available for purchase. It was an okay selection (buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes), but if you don`t make it early on enough, the staff are overwhelmed with managing all the families and it can get a bit chaotic. Overall, it was fine for the purpose of our trip - and the kids certainly enjoyed the little time they had in the pool and family area.

We travelled with our dog and it was great to have a dog friendly room with an exterior sliding door. The room had a king size bed with a sofa, coffee table, desk and chair and still plenty of room for a large crate. Also a fridge and microwave. Outside there's lots of green space especially to walk the dog. There's a seating area with a table fire pit and benches along a pathway. Although we did not use the pool area, from outside it looked like a nice facility. Upon our arrival a family had just finished enjoying the pool.

Make sure to inform the front desk if you are staying for more than one night , if you do not want your linens change, you still want the rest of the service done . Hotel is very nice , amazing 24 hour fruit infused water and coffee in the lobby , grounds area well kept , too bad too much rain before we came in that the pathway through the look out area was covered with water . Nice swimming pool , great play area for children and nice outdoor area for kids to play . The fitness room only have 3 cardio machines and needs lower dumb bell weights ( wts starts at 15 lbs . ) for a senior 15lbs I think is way too much .

Most rooms back onto the atrium which has lots of fun activities for kids (basketball net, playground, waterpark). Unfortunately there is no sound protection so you can hear all the kids screaming until 10:59pm because quiet hours don't start until 11:00pm. I stayed in the middle of July and it was pretty hot out. My room had AC but it was not possible to adjust the temperature. Had the hotel maintenance guy in my room who said he was new and didn't know how to fix the AC, so he offered me a fan - and then we found my room already had a fan in the closet - which means I probably wasn't the first to have this experience. My room was stuck at 76F (25C) with no option to move to a cooler, more quiet room since the place was booked up. Didn't sleep a wink :( I give this stay 2 stars - one star is for me, for toughing it out, and the other star is for the free wifi - which was fast and also necessary to keep me entertained during my sleepless night.

I stayed two nights and had reserved 4 months in advance. Upon arrival, found my room AC was not working (in the middle of a July heatwave). Requested to move to another room (which only had a king, not two queens) and moved in only to find poor water pressure and lights not working properly. On the second night, I had to move back into the unairconditioned room (management said the part needed for the new AC would not be in for 3 more days) and spent a night tossing and turning. At 6 AM, two other hotel guests tried to key my door, thinking they were entering their room because it turns out the manager didn't check me in correctly. I almost had a heart attack. The people running this hotel do not know what they are doing. They did comp me one night's stay, but the whole thing should have been free. And the wifi is SLOW and glitchy.

Clean room. Overall a little run down looking... not nearly as nice as the pictures portray and definitely not worth the extra money(over and above a normal hotel). Kids play climber was extremely dirty and the top covered in cob webs...upon arrival our toilet was broke (water was actually turned off) so was a known problem...place was so booked up we couldn't change rooms.. fairly disappointing to little kids who were anxious to swim. Also, no included breakfast in the mornings which is hugely inconvenient for a place geared to kids especially when you have to leave and come back and the pool hours (with slides & life guards) is very limited during the day. We opted to stay and eat at the paid breakfast buffet and the set up was complete chaos. Stayed at this place as a kid myself but not sure I'll return with my own children a second time.

This hotel needs a serious upgrading since the rooms are looking very shabby. The room lighting was dim and the smell in our room was very musty, perhaps because of the air conditioning. The balcony was unswept, and the noise from all the air conditioners was so loud it was unpleasant to sit there. The yard and walkway was weedy and unkempt and the guest outside area was pathetic..a plastic tarp for an umbrella. If you have young children who enjoy the indoor pool and play area you might like staying here..otherwise it is probably a poor choice.

I have stayed here for five weeks and in fives weeks have had three rooms all of which air conditioning doesn't work which is a huge let down in the middle of summer. Also sliding doors don't lock, outlets don't work, poor water pressure, hairs on towels and you call for maintenance and nothing gets fixed. It's a clean hotel and most staff is awesome, aside from the morning desk lady upon checkout. The best part of this hotel is the mid night custodian, I believe her name was Ashley, she should be the face of Best Western, she went out of her way to provide fans or have me move rooms when the ac went and it was 27 in the room. It wasn't her fault in anyway but you could tell she actually cared, hopefully someone from best western reads this and gives her the recognition she deserves! On a whole it is a good hotel just very aged and has not been updated or problems fixed.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our kid's soccer team. The layout of the rec room with basketball, table tennis, badminton, etc. was perfect. We had a very enjoyable time. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

The pool and slides are what we came for. Clean pools/slides, lots of lifeguards 4-5 on duty. Please check your bed sheets for hairs and bathroom for hairs. Not to pleasant. Coffee and water in lounge was fantastic.

The speed at check in was excellent. Front desk answered my questions. Kids loved the play area and it kept them busy inside when it was too hot to go out! We had a room overlooking the atrium. If you don't like noise I would book an outside room. First night was a little noisy from the atrium as it's open until 11pm. Second night was great. Staff I encountered were professional and helpful. Room was clean and odour free.

I take my four grandchildren camping in a cottage every summer ( age 4,5 7,8 )... but.. this year we needed to change our arrangement due to circumstances. I selected Best Western Leamington as it was only 1 hour from home and had activities for them. We arrived at noon and could not even check in til 2 pm - so kids could not use the pool etc til then - disappointing. We went for lunch at Birders Perch ( double decker bus) right down the road !! -- great food !!! Kids loved the tacos and the "bus". We then were allowed to register at 2 pm and get our room I asked for a room on the first floor so we were at the Atrium and arcade/pool level. We got this room - thank you !! The staff was wonderful. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise We were going to order pizza out the first night but found out that the restaurant also has pizza --- It was amazing .. maybe a wee bit more $ but so so good !!! We also had a dinner there one night -- this was also great -- great staff !!! We went to the beach the following day for a bit for the kids to experience that and then returned just in time for a torrential rainfall ! The kids loved the pool and slides !!! Life Guards were plentiful. They played at the arcade and the gym area They need more Arcade activities !!!!!!! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were fine ! My grand babies still want to go "glamping" -- camping in a cottage but would love to re-visit your resort My ONLY complaint ( which you cannot always control ) was that the room next to us ( we were in #106) was beyond noisy- smacking walls /screaming/banging/out of control) My babies had a difficult time sleeping-- in fact - they were scared !!!!! Our kids loved this place! There is so much to do for kids inside and in the area. There are a few things that could improve the experience for adults/parents (breakfast, noise in play area too late, heating/cooling etc.

This was our second Family Reunion that we booked in this venue. Amy was very thoughtful helpful and thorough in our planning for this event. She was very kind and considerate as she worked with my 88 year old father and I. Dylan and Kevin we helpful in providing equipment for decorating the Bevel room. Ed was efficient responsive and detail orientated in supervising our meals. He even packed up the picnic lunch in our coolers for us to take into Point Pelee for the day of biking and swimming. John and Andrew were the chefs and they and the kitchen staff prepared fantastic meals for us! The food was delicious and there was always ample amount for all our hungry young adults. They were responsive and kind to the family with dietary restrictions. Thank you! The servers Michelle Diane and Allyssa and others were helpful and responsive to our needs. They did a great job! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable. The housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you all for a great weekend and we will have wonderful memories!

This hotel is a great family destination for a Family Day or March Break getaway. It offers a beautiful indoor pool with slides and a large activity area suitable for several age groups. Rooms with patio doors on 3 floors overlook the courtyard. Those rooms could be beneficial; but a little noisy as well if full of children. The rooms are well appointed and clean, but the a/c unit outside the balcony was quite noisy.

I decided to visit Point Pelee on the spur of the moment, and booked with Best Western Plus due to it's location which was almost in the park. I found the hotel to be clean and well decorated, with all the amenities you would expect and hope for. I would advise adults without children to NOT book an Atrium Room as it overlooks the play area and pool, and can be quite noisy. Luckily I travelled before school finished, and there were only a few children in this area. However, the atrium is open until 11 p.m. so if you are hoping to get to bed early, forget it.

Forget about Great Wolf Lodge-if you've got a family, this is the spot! You can go bird watching and enjoy nature by day, then let the kids get their sillies out in the very well-appointed water park, pools and recreation areas. It is a huge facility located within an atrium: there are basketball courts, ping pong tables, arcade games, pool tables, and a massive indoor playground for the kids, complete with small climbing walls. Then, you can cool off in the pools or fly down the huge water slides. They had three lifeguards monitoring the swimming areas. The room was clean and recently renovated. We brought our dogs and they were cool with this, but dogs are not allowed in the common areas. We were able to access our room through the sliding door at the ground level; convenient for doggy bathroom needs. The biggest downside here is that you don't get breakfast included, apart from the coffee service in the reception area. This is a bit of a departure from the expectations we have from previous Best Western Plus experiences and was a bit of a let down. The sink in our room didn't drain very well; not really a concern, except that we kept finding some kind of drain flies in our bathroom. Otherwise, a fun spot to let loose after serious nature-watching!

We booked a 4 night stay here as it's closest to the Point Pelee National Park for the bird migration. Our 1st mistake was not realising our stay coincided with a holiday weekend so although not at all happy with our room there was zero chance of changing it. Our 2nd mistake was that whilst closest to the Park, it's probably least geared up for early rising birders. Breakfast purported to start at 07:00; in reality the buffet on our first morning wasn't really ready for another half hour. On subsequent days we left before breakfast but there was either no or cold coffee available. Housekeeping was underwhelming; never serviced by 15:00 and then only because we requested it. After the long weekend, they just didn't seem to have enough staff. On the plus side, our 2 dinners in the restaurant were good with pleasant service. The Happy Snapper, a short walk up the road, did great perch and fries for the other 2 nights. It's horses for courses - if you're looking for a family-oriented stay, you'll have a great time with all the amenities - if you want a quiet stay during spring migration with coffee and a muffin ( or just coffee) to fuel you for early morning birding then this hotel is probably not the right choice.

We need more hotels like this one for family and kid vacations. Yes this hotel can be loud! But d'uh! It caters to families. Book a room that doesnt have the atrium view if you want a quieter visit. The pool and play area run from 8am to 11pm. We have a 7 and 4 year old. They had a blast. The pool has 2 large slides with 3ft, 4ft znd 5ft pool levels and ample lifeguard coverage. Its a small alternative to a Great Wolf Lodge family hotel and much cheaper. One thing that looked like it needs to be fixed is the atrium sky windows though as it had rained and it leaked. So they had several buckets put out for 1.5 days to catch the leaks. Not a big deal but should definitely be fixed sooner than later. We sat outside our room (atrium view) and ate snacks and had drinks too. Wish there were more hotels catering to families like this one in southwestern Ontario. Pool is kept nice and warm as well for the kids! Might be nice to have a breakfast tie in deal though when booking the room that offers a discount. Kids under 3 are free for meals.

We had a wonderful 3 days here! We had so much fun in the pool and really enjoyed the indoor atrium area. We particularly liked that games like ping pong/basketball and badminton were no charge....so nice to head down as a family without needing all kinds of money to do anything!! Pool was nice and warm, very large so never felt crowded and the slides were fun for all ages. We had a third floor room overlooking the atrium and did not notice excessive noise when we had the door closed. We brought our own food for breakfast and lunch but explored local restaurants for dinner. Excellent location minutes from National park and town!

Clean hotel. Nice pool. Rec. area opens at 9am so don't plan on sleeping past 9 if on an inside room as kids start playing basketball at 9 on the dot. Bed is smaller than queen but bigger than double. Breakfast is extra $ on top of paying $200 a night (room rate plus taxes and almost $30 in fees).

This hotel caters to children. They have a room built into the middle of the building that looks onto all of the inner rooms. That room is for children and there are toys and a pool there. Every room on the inside of the building has to listen to children playing and basketballs slamming from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you want to get any sleep or enjoy any time in your room call to book an outside room.

This is a large hotel property built in a rectangle around an inner, enclosed play area. If you want to sleep well, ask for a room that backs onto the outside. I was told the hotel was fully booked the two nights I stayed (birding season) and I thought they needed a second person on the front desk. Waiting ten minutes to check in doesn't work for most people. On the other hand, when dealing with the front desk I thought the staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and on the large side, something I don't need but I was solo so didn't really need all that space. The prices are high in season, but I suspect kids would love the indoor play area.

My stay at the Best Western Leamington was enjoyable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I will continue to use this hotel often. The hotel is clean and accessible. The food in the lounge is quite good for breakfast and dinner.

We had stayed in this hotel when it was owned by another company but stopped as it had gotten very "tired" and worn. The new renovations now are beautiful. Bed was comfy. Perfectly close to Point Pelee where we were birding for the weekend.

Very Neat hotel. Very well kept and super clean. Stayed here while working out of town. Room was very clean and exactly what I requested. Hotel Staff was super friendly. Got a great nights sleep and will definitely book here again if I am in town!

We did a stayvacation to this hotel. We reside within the county and did not expect such a fun time as what was waiting us. I have not been to this hotel in approx 15 years and wow has it changed. We brought a 5 year old and a 7 year old with autism who could not get enough of the water slides and playgrounds. We also had grandparents and cousins -ages 4 and 6 with us. We all had such a fun night away. It was the kids first time staying in a hotel and they loved the experience. This place is what it would look like if kids ruled the world! Check in and out was very easy and quick. I called beforehand to change our room as I made an error when online booking and that was simple and painless. Whole experience was awesome. We intend on coming back a few times a year now! Kids are all already asking when we can go back!

This place is amazing!!! The indoor activity centre (atrium) will keep your kids busy for hours. There's a playground/jungle gym, basketball court, badminton/volleyball court, billiards, ping pong tables, arcade and a pool with small waterslides! You can get an atrium facing room on the main floor. The sliding door to your room literally opens up to the atrium and the kids can walk right into all the fun. I stayed here on two separate occasions, once facing the atrium and once without. I preferred the room that didn't face the atrium as it was quieter. The food in the on-site restaurant is really good! Hands down the best hotel for families if you are in the Windsor region.

The entire atrium was soaked. We experienced alot of rain the weekend we attended, which apparently makes the INSIDE of the atrium leak! Carpets were soaked and smelled ridiculously musty. Visually see and hear the roof leaking from multiple areas. Pails of water scattered throughout the hotel. Having no prior notification was or heads us was not a nice surprise. We were very disappointed.

loved every minute of our stay - excellent service and kids loved it. would do it again in a heartbeat. tennis court, basketball court, large play structure for kids - water slides - has it all! great breakfast, reasonable priced and good room service

Had a great family trip on April 13th. 7 boys ages 2-13. The facility was perfect for all ages. Clean hotel and great setup for a family trip. One recommendation would be to book only on one side of the hotel if you want elevator access. Shout out to the maintenance guy that went out of his way to fix our cable cord for our tv for nhl hockey playoffs

Even though I am on crutches with a broken leg and my friends granddaughter was sick the staff made the stay very enjoyable and easy! I would most definitely come back with our grand children they enjoyed the pool and slides

We visited this hotel for my grandsons birthday party (3rd year in a row) we were immediately informed we could not set up a small table in the atrium for cake and snacks citing a fire hazard now that the hotel was under new management. Not a huge issue, even though there were 2 other similar parties going on that had tables set up. After I questioned the new policy the manager came over and allowed us to set one up. She really couldn't do enough for us from that point on...bringing garbage bags and drink cups over to our group. Other than that, the kids had a ball with all the activities. Room and facilities very clean. The only other issue....we were told numerous times when we called over the last month the hotel was sold out. Upon arrival, 10 rooms were available....maybe offer to be put on a waiting list? We were a group of 5 families, only 1 stayed that had booked a month ago. Next year, we'll try somewhere else with less issues.

A little pricy for what it was. I find other indoor hotel/water parks to be cheaper and have more but this is the only one in the area. The pool was cold but the kids didn't mind they have fun on the 2 waterslides. We had ground floor atrium I didn't find the noise too bad. they have free coffee and it actually was very good! Staff where very friendly and nice. Wifi was good.

Positives: lots for kids to do (including a games atrium and pool with slides), rooms are a good size, fast wi-fi, on-site restaurant will do in a pinch, the sheets are high quality, and staff is really pleasant. The not-so-positives: the hotel atrium (nearly every room opens on to it) is exceedingly noisy until 11 pm, the food is only so-so, no in-room control of HVAC, and the finishes are tired (dingy carpet, chipped paint, peeling bathtub, musty room smell). We probably won't stay there again but our kids were happy to ve there for night.

For comfort and looks this hotel is outstanding it's the day to day service that needs extreme help. More staff to service the people who visit. A prime example we went down for breakfast at 8:45 am and finally were fed at 10:20 am never been anywhere that had such slow service. Staff were nice but busy and unable to take care of helping with problems. If you don't care how long you have to wait for breakfast the food was fine. Kids had a great time in the pool and the play area. Supervision in pool area was good but there is down times when the slides are closed 11am to 3 pm.. we ran into problems with parents who ignored the large orange signs and allowed their kids to use them by climbing up and sliding down unfair for younger kids who don't understand and keep asking to go on the slide too! Reported to front desk again very busy and no one available to remedy situation they eventually find time but rule breakers had cleared out.

No breakfast / newspapers at this BW Plus hotel. HVAC systems do not work rooms at atrium. Bathrooms are worn, could use a revamp. Internet is poor, definately not high speed. The location ia great and is the only thing that keeps me coming to this hotel.

We celebrated a 10th birthday and stayed for one night. The boys had a blast. Our breakfast was excellent. Service was seamless. Great value for the money. We stayed in an atrium room on ground level which was very convenient for the kids.

Was charged waaay more than agreed to, for two rooms during thr weekend, approx.$600 to be exact. Awful customer service, they said there was nothing they could do. False advertisment if you ask me! I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone!

Family fun at the pool and artium. Rooms are clean and updated. Staff is nice, knowledgable and helpful. There is hiking, go-karting, driving range and golf course nearby. There is a lot of restaurants nearby as well.

Dirty play area, dirty pool area. No clean towels. Ceiling leaking, moved to another room which SMELLED real bad like cigarette smoke. Even the young kids were complaining about the smell. Will not be returning!

We came here for a few days during March Break, with our three kids age 2, 7 & 9. All of us had an amazing time! All of the kids had a great time in the pool and playground area. My kids had a lot of fun on the pool slides, even my 2 year old enjoyed the small slide. It was amazing! The water in the pool is a nice temperature, it's not freezing cold like other hotels which we all appreciated. We were able to enjoy the pool for hours. There was a drainage problem outside the pool washroom, which resulted in a huge puddle of dirty water...this should be repaired right away...it's gross. The entire pool deck should be cleaned better. The playground was nice but just a suggestion....there should be a few signs around the structure indicating that socks should be worn for safety and cleanliness....no shoes. The kids that were wearing runners on there could easily step on kids fingers and toes injuring them. It would also be nice if it there more play areas for toddlers. But overall, it was still the best indoor playground and pool with slides at any hotel we have visited. The arcade games were pretty pricey. If they correct the minor issues with this hotel it would be even better....it would be exceptional. The staff was excellent, they were very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and modern. Great amenities. We will definitely return! We will definitely recommend this hotel to any family wanting a fun getaway.

Great location for families. Rooms need maintenance. Our towel rack was broken, door bar rack was also broken and room was not very clean. Atrium area was very dirty, and equipment was old and damaged. Most importantly the door to the pool area was not in good working order and did not lock properly. Overall if they dedicated more staff to cleaning and maintenance this location would be a 5*.

Water slides and pool was over chlorine filled but very nice place to spend weekend. Rooms were good beds were comfy. Atrium rooms were a bit warm we just put the AC on and we were fine. Needs louder music in the atrium area a bit boring.

There was something fun for every age group in my family. Basketball court, badminton court, pool tables, ping pong tables, huge climbing area, swimming pool, and waterslides! The staff were all very friendly and the service was wonderful!

We had an amazing time here with our children, ages ranging from 1-7. From the reviews, I knew to pay extra to book a room on the Atrium level, which we are very glad we did. The kids had a great time playing in the play area that was a few feet from our room. This was our first hotel stay where there was a place kids could be kids. The pool was warm and perfect depth of 3 ft (2nd pool is deeper) for the young children. We had the pool to ourselves both in the afternoon and the next morning. All in all, was a fabulous trip and we would recommend this hotel to all our friends. We were happy with the service and with the cleanliness of the rooms.

I cannot fault the hotel for their patrons. Unfortunately the last few times we have stayed here the guests are not the most respectful of the common areas, evidenced by the many strains on all the furniture and lack of supervision of fairly young children in the play and pool areas. The property and staff are great and it is a fun time for the kids. Just wish people would show some more care for their behaviour. It is what it is. If you know this before going you won't be disappointed.

Was told slide was open...was not open during our 2 night stay. Disgustingly dirty play area for children ...food wrappers and dirt were there our first day...still the day 3 when we left. Carpets in rooms full of cigarette burns

We have gone with a group of 5 families for two years now. Both times there have been significant issues with the start of the booking. One person books a block of rooms with management. When each family calls to put one these rooms under their names, staff do not know how to do this and we were often told there were no rooms left...even though the block was specifically booked for this number of people. There is not enough training or communication between management and staff about this. Both years started out with a big headache, when you think booking a large group would be something they do all the time. My family arrived early. A couple of the families arrived a day earlier, so we knew we would have a place to put our stuff should our room not be ready in time. I went to the front desk and clearly said that I knew our room likely wasn't ready, but just wanted to check. The women, I believe her name was Shannon (might have been Sharon) told us we were really early and there was no way our room could be early. I explained that we had friends who were staying here already and we would just meet with with them until our room was ready. She repeated herself several times about us being early, even after us saying we knew we were, but that we had a plan. She was quite rude about it. Check-in is 4pm. Most places with a pool/water slide, provide families with full day access to the facilities even prior to the rooms being available, and just hold luggage. 4pm does not provide families with young children much time to enjoy the pool. In our case, we were able to utilize a friends room prior to ours being available so I don't understand what her issue was. Its not like we were using the pool and not staying at the gym. I asked Shannon if there was a way for us to be called when our room was ready. She advised that she would remember our faces, checked what book we had, and said she would come look for us when our room was clean. She never did this. My husband went to check if the room was ready, as we saw other people checking into their rooms. My husband came back saying we were given the wrong room (our block was the ground floor atrium rooms, and we were given the 3rd floor). Myself and the friend who made the booking for the group came to the front desk with my husband. Another women had checked my husband in, but Shannon was now dealing with us. After arguing back and forth, it was finally determined that we were booked into someone else room who had a similar name. Shannon was very quick to blame my husband for this, saying he should have read the form he signed, as they highlight the information for a reason. It is the staffs job to ensure they are checking people into the right room. You do not blame the customer. Once we revoked at the form, the name wasn't actually highlighted. The staff had handed my husband the form and just said "sign here," so, no he didn't closely read the details. Shannon never took responsibility for the confusion, and blamed us several times. She also mentioned to us and my friend a number of times more about us having tried to check in early. The staff who had checked my husband in did apologize for her mistake, and she handled it appropriately. We understand how these mistakes can happen. Our issue was with how Shannon (who I believe is management of some sort), dealt with us. She was rude during both these interactions. She does not seem to have good customer service skills. One of the families in our party had asked to reserve a play pen when they initially called to book their room. They were guaranteed one, as they asked again because they would have brought one otherwise, as they have a 4month old. When they checked in, they again asked about the play pen and were told they would get one. They asked if there was any chance they would run out. They were told that they have lots and they didn't have to worry. After being in their room for several hours, they again checked and were told they would get one shortly. A couple hours later they were told the play pens had run out. My friends now had no place for their 4month old to sleep. This is not ok. This is a safety issue. All staff said to them was that they should not have guaranteed them a play pen. That all being said, when we were not dealing with the staff, we really enjoyed our time. We really like a facilities and it is a lot of fun for our young children. The rooms were clean. We will continue to go here as group do to how much our children love it, but we really hope customer service and staff training will improve greatly.

We have been to a lot of hotels over the years and this hotel is probably the best by far for families with kids. Lots of activities to do inside the hotel, you almost don't need to go anywhere! The location is only minutes away from any shopping as well, we definitely will be going back in the summer to check out more opportunities as we seen signs everywhere for more attractions. Best bet which we will do next time is to try and get a room on the bottom floor beside the atrium so that after the kids go to bed you can keep the screen door open and keep an eye on them while you enjoy a game of pool.

During my stay at the Beat Western Leamington, I found the rooms to be comfortable and clean. The beds are comfortable and each room has afridge, microwave and tv. The staff is attentive and friendly and the check in was quick and easy. The pool and games area are clean and well maintained. This is a great place to stay!

We stayed in room 139. This is the first time I was pretty disgusted with the cleanliness of the room. Upon arrival the room had a terrible smell to it. I noticed a huge stain in front of the bathroom door so its obvious it overflowed at some point. There was also a dehumidifier in the room which made me uneasy as to what actually happened in there. The floors were really dirty and there was a lot of dust. Also, i had to tell a staff member to stop putting a towel between the door to the pool. There were so many young kids running around they could have easily gained access. Thats a major liability issue. As soon as i mentioned something she was very apologetic and understood very nice girl just didnt think how dangerous that is. Overall the staff are very pleasant and it's always a fun trip!

Took my 4 kids here for the weekend ,my parents joined the second night . My kids are 11 ,9,9, and 1 yr . All of us had an amazing time . Its really place to have fun with kids but to also enjoy yourself, the kids had lots to do in the play ground area. I'm not a huge swimmer but with my youngest needing an adult, I had to swim with him . The water is almost perfect temputure , so swimming with the kids didn't feel like chore, it was really lovely to enjoy swimming with all of them and not freezing while doing it .. I loved everything about this place , from the aminimites to the helpful staff .. already planning on going again .Honestly 10/ 10 stay for us .. if you dont go with kids, you may want to stay at a different hotel , because its loud and kids are everywhere.

We had a wonderfull time, the staff was very helpful, we were there with some of our children and grandchildren everyone had a great time. Our oldest son is special needs in a wheelchair and he loves to spend time with his family. So we come here to spend time togather

I was very disappointed with our recent stay. We booked Friday-Sunday but ended up leaving Saturday around 8pm. The pools were great, nice and warm, the play equipment was nice & well taken care of but full of food/crumbs because no one was there to “babysit” the parents, the rooms were clean. We were on the second floor because the first floor was sold out. To get to the pool, we had to use the stair well which was freezing cold. We literally had to put the kids winter coats on to go down to the pool. The card access to get into the pool area wasn't working well & staff was aware. We heard kids screaming all day, even when we were in our room, they were running up and down the hallways & balcony just screaming. The whole second floor smelled of marijuana and that was the final straw for us. When we checked out, she didn't even try to make things right. So with taxes & “resort fees”, we paid $400 for 1 night.

Love going to this hotel they have had a lot of new staff But was very happy to see Michael at the front desk is back thank God He is so friendly and helpful Brought my grandkids and they were so happy Michael is back he is very friendly and was helpful with kids So happy he is back good choice Also it is great they have hired someone to monitor play area Met a young man Logan who did a great job cleaning removing pizza boxes ect. It was nice to see garbages not over flowing Logan did a great job Very happy with the changes

Great place to go as a family. Our kids are 3 & 2. They loved the water slides & indoor play area. Staff was attentive & helpful. Rooms are amazingly quiet despite all the activity in the atrium. Would stay again!

lobby nice; room had orange peels under the bed from previous guest that I noticed on checking outoverpriced for what we received.not enough chairs in pool area for grandparents and young mothers to sit . Staff aware but did nothingno towels for the morning swim; there were still drying them

This was our 7th year coming with our adult children and grandchildren. This is my Christmas present to them. For myself I think this was the best year yet coming here. The accommodations are so relaxing and comfortable. WiFi works great, the activities are abundant and very accessible. The family always enjoys the great breakfast at the restaurant. We did run into a few issues while we were there. The first was a mix up with check-in and I would like to give a big thank you to the front desk clerk I think her name was Sharon. I had booked 4 rooms and the manner of payment was misunderstood, my mistake. She worked so hard to fix my mistake and was so understanding and professional. Thank you. Second was when one of the grandkids toes had a run in with a door. A young lady in housekeeping who was first aide certified ran and got us all the quaze and bandages we needed. Thank you. All the staff were just excellent. Kudos on your choice of staff this year. Last but not least the young gentleman working night building security, Mr. Scheifer. Great public relations skills. Took his job very serious but was courteous doing it. Already looking forward to next year. Thanks for a great weekend.

My children and the adults always have a blast when we come here!! There's so much for them to do and everything is in the vicinity to watch them and enjoy our stay as well. It's like a hidden gem and the rates are great too!

We had the pleasure of staying at your facility for 7 nights over the holidays. First off the cleaning staff did a remarkable job. They were pleasant thorough and prompt! We come to this hotel regular for the last 2 or 3 years since we herd about it. It is never to busy that you cant have fun and s play in all the areas. The staff has always been amazing . The area is great as well with fun little things to.do around as well.

A nice comfortable stay in a hotel with lots of stuff for young kids to do. There are 2 water slides for children 3 or older and a large atrium with a climber, small arcade and sports games. Important to know, if you have an atrium view room it may be loud up to 10pm.

-Stayed here on a weekend -checked in around dinner time -front desk staff was friendly -Beds were comfortable -We enjoyed the pool/waterslides/indoor playground (especially our 5yr old) -Pool was not crowded, which made it enjoyable -We at dinner at the hotel restaurant, and enjoyed it. -The only downfall of the hotel... nothing nearby in walking distance. -But we enjoyed our stay, and would return if in the area.

My company hosted a 5-day training event in the Monarch room. We were very impressed with the staff /management's helpfulness, customization and patience in getting us situated and organized, and their consistent service throughout the event, helping us with anything from food arrangements, table plans, room dividers, and even technical issues with our own equipment. A big thank you from us, what a fantastic experience!

If you are planning a party at this hotel please be aware that the water slides DO NOT OPERATE during the hours of 11AM-3PM. We planned an entire birthday party, the front desk staff knew the details because we shared them, and we were never informed of this. We were also told that if we booked rooms we would have FULL access (as in NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES) to ALL amenities, but upon check in we were told in order to have access to the water slides it would be an additional $10 fee.

if you or your kids idea of fun. is just sitting in a cold pool then this is the place for you. no drinks not even Tea are alowed on the pool deck. they have a fish pond but keep your kids away there not alowed to look at them. and if you want to eat up on the court yard part you better order from the hotel.

Travelled here with a bunch of families all with younger kids. Everyone had a blast. There is a pool area with 2 young kid friendly slides, a large jungle gym, a basket ball court, badminton court, ping pong and pool tables. They took great care of our group. The customer service was top notch. I have never been here before but the room, front entrance and atrium all seem to be recently updated.

This is the third year in a row we've been part of a large gathering with friends and neighbours and every year we make great memories! The biggest part of making memories are the people at the establishment that you have to deal with. EVERYONE! And I mean everyone were exceptional to deal with. From the courteous front desk staff to the maintenance crew - who were right on top of everything - all were great to deal with. The lifeguards in the pool and water slide area were doing a great job as well. The staff all seem to enjoy their job here and to us, that plays a big part in having events like this at a hotel. Our kids (7, 4 & 2) enjoyed the large indoor play area here. The atrium is so large that they can run around and still not cause discomfort to anyone else. They had fun at the indoor basketball court, the pool tables and the arcades and all this was after they spent quite some time at in the pool and water slides. In the morning we will be going to the breakfast buffet which, as in years past, has always been very good. One thing to note - the wifi here is great regardless where you are in the building.

We booked this hotel trying to stay closer to the Windsor Border. The hotel is good but a bit isolated. Not a lot restaurants nearby. We got a room with windows facing the playground and it was a bit noisy until late. Also, the room assigned to us required some stairs to be crossed and no helped was provided despite the heavy luggage.

We spent one night here while visiting family. This is a great hotel for families, very easy going and lots to entertain the children. Our kids really enjoyed it. Yes, it is a little dated and definitely could do with some renovations (our patio door facing the interior courtyard would not lock, so a pole is provided to keep it closed). Breakfast was good. Rooms are a good size and the wifi is adequate. I would stay here again.

The room was mobility accessible. However, the only part that was "accessible" was the bathroom. It has a small stool to sit on. It was very low. Once you were sat on it you had the water of the shower directly on you. The shower head is fixed and therefore it was impossible to get a good shower. It needed to be handheld. I suppose the person who fitted the accessible with equipment has no idea what a mobility challenged person needs. The room was clean. The hotel was clean both inside and out. Breakfast was terrible. We got a refund. We can't tell you about noise since the hotel was empty. They do have a good waterpark.

We brought our two young children. The pool was nice, but the slides only open on wknds, PD days or holidays. The play equipment was great, only problem was our youngest was too short to climb up the steps to get to the slides. Any child over 3ft 5in would be fine.

This is a place to bring the kids.... The great swimming pool, indoor play area, pool tables, and badminton makes this a great pre-game for Point Pelee National Park adventure. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We took our 3 grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The room was fabulous. Staff was great. And the kids loved the waterslides and pool, as well as the games area in the atrium. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place for an overnight getaway.

My kids LOVED this place!! It was fabulous! The pool was so much fun and very clean. The play area was wonderful for my kids. It had the retro atmosphere of a neighbourhood where all the kids would go out and play together -- getting called back to their rooms by their parents for meals. The only thing that would have made my stay better would be having breakfast included in the cost of the room.

This place is very warm and the staff is friendly. Location is also nice and the place is very clean. I would recommend his property to anyone travelling in he Leamington area. If you come for the birds, you will not be disappointed.

Stayed here for just one night and had no complaints whatsoever. Seems to be the best hotel in the area, it's located outside of Leamington and so you would need a car or taxi to get into the town. Would recommend it

Very nice hotel..great location for visiting Pelee point and the area. Only stayed here 2 nights but overall for the price this was a great clean comfortable hotel. I am rarely disappointed with BW . The hotel staff were very nice and no problem with a few requests. Thanks

Pool was awesome and my son spent lots of time playing badminton with his Dad.The beds were so comfy and very clean. We were close to Point Pelee park, Go Karting and restaurants..will definitely be back..

Such an amazing place. Was great for all ages. We were worried about having to find other things to do with the kids but we didnt even have to leave the hotel because everyone was entertained and had something to do. We will definitely be back!!!

The staff are friendly, the place is clean. But there were so many small annoyances and inconveniences that made this hotel an uncomfortable, overpriced, place to stay. There was a veranda just outside our room overlooking the parking lot. This would have been a nice touch if the chairs had been comfortable to sit on and a small table to place drinks. The bath tub would not drain, as a result one was wading in 5 inches of water. There is no hold bar in the tub area. Heard a gentleman at the front desk that his wife had fallen in the tub while showering. Air conditioning very noisy. Breakfast $20 per person. And to top it all off, without us knowing, we were charged $5.92 resort tax on our bill. So for one night, $197.06. When one is paying that kind of money, one expects the best. This will be our last visit. Went on to BW on Riverside Drive in Windsor. Beautiful room, 20th floor, panoramic view of the Detroit River & stunning gardens, free breakfast, hold bar in the tub at the total cost of $166.70 per night. Shop around folks.

The hotel was fine. The room was nice and the food was good, but the roof leaks in the kids playground area and service is slow. It wasn't busy the weekend we were there, but staff said in the summer they are often full. I can't imagine what a zoo it could be when its full. Very clean and comfortable rooms though. Pool is better suited for younger kids.

The service we received was excellent right from the get go! We arrived early and they were very accommodating to get us in. We traveled with our son's baseball team and the rates we received were very reasonable. Our kids could have swam and played all day and night long. Thanks for such a positive experience!

We're just heading home to Toronto after a 2 night stay. We love this hotel because of the great amenities it offers and its close proximity to Point Pelee Park. The staff are always friendly and ready to accommodate. It's our 2nd time here and we'll be back again next year. The pool is a nice break after playing in the beach all day and the recreational center complete with a jungle gym, arcade, billiards table, ping pong tables, badminton and basketball courts kept the little munchkins occupied and entertained throughout the stay. I have to say though that Saturday was extremely busy because of a tournament close by. Nevertheless the kids still had tons of fun! It was hard getting them to leave and head home. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to visit Point Pelee.

After camping for a few days with 3 boys, one with special needs, we were looking so forward to having some indoor fun and excitedly chose The Best Western Plus in Leamington. We were able to check in early and we all rushed right to the pool and water slides. Sadly the pool was closed as the chemical levels were a bit low. Any pool owner knows this happens at times and the staff worked very fast to get the pool opened for us and the rest of their guests. Alex at the Front desk was very reassuring as our son with autism has a hard time waiting and he was going to be very difficult to manage as we waited for the pool to open. The manager Carolyn came and spoke to us about our concerns and apologized for the delay. Carolyn was also very empathetic to our son with autism's needs and she made sure all of us were happy and enjoyed our stay which we very much did. We can't wait to go back again !!!!

We stayed for a quick weekend trip to Point Pelee NP and this hotel surpassed my expectations! It was clean, airy and employes extremely friendly staff! The play area was wonderful and it was great to have it indoors as we had a rainy weekend! We travelled with our dog, so having a room with a sliding door to outside close to the grass was really convenient. The room itself was spacious and well appointed - fridge, microwave. And very clean. Even though we were in a pet room, it was spotless. The hotel is really close to the Park and a couple great local eateries. It has a small pathway to a pond (we saw a snapping turtle!) and nice greenspace! We will definitely stay here next time we are in the area!!

Have stayed here a couple of times and always very clean and the rooms are comfortable. Front desk staff is AMAZING!. Very kind and engaging. Following a family tragedy, a family member stayed for an extended period at the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, more thoughtful or more compassionate. As a family, we will always be thankful for them taking such great of us in a difficult time.

We had a great time at this hotel with our toddler. The pool and slides were great. The entertainment area with the basketball court, jungle gym and arcade was a nice touch. The only complaint is the stairwell that took us up to our room smells horrible. A refresher is definitely needed. Proximity to Point Peelee park and Birdies Perch is one of the perks! Overall we had a great time and will be returning again next summer :)

We arrived after 11:00pm and our arrival did NOT include a warm welcome, smile, name recognition or appreciation for choosing to be their guest. We were processed through the check in and advised our room would be in the furthest wing and we'd have to drive our car and park at the back of the building. (The front parking spots were also taken up with 2 large tractor trailers). When we arrived at our room on the 2nd floor (no elevator at the back entrance) it had a very strong smell of smoke and the TV didn't work. When we called to request a different room, there was no apology or urgency to adhere to our request. Instead, they made us wait until they chose to call us back, making it clear this was an inconvenience to them not us. We were advised the hotel was sold us, which we knew was not. We advised it was late, we were tired and would be checking out at 7:00am and just needed a room fast. The manager was borderline rude. As we drove back to the entrance of the building to move to our new room (near 11:30pm) he walked passed us in the parking lot on his way out and simply said; 'your new keys are on the desk'. Again, no apology for the inconvenience or thank you for our patience or appreciation for our business. Finally, Jackie a new employee took ownership of the situation. She apologized for the inconvenience and provided us with a better room. Unlike many Best Western Plus properties that we've stayed at, this hotel offered no complimentary breakfast or amenities of any kind. We had booked through a 3rd party and it was made clear to us that we were being treated differently (not in a good way) as a 3rd party booking. This hotel was conveniently located and in good condition but there was no guest experience, no engagement, no appreciation for our business. We would not recommend this property to others.

My family and I stayed here on the weekend and had problems right from the start. First our door keys wouldn't work so I had to go to the front desk for new ones. Got the new ones and they still didn't work. Went back to the desk and got new ones, they gave me a default key along with the other keys incase those didnt work either, good thing because they didn't!!! When we finally got in the room it STUNK SOOOO BAD OF CIGARETTE SMOKE!!!! When I told the front desk they told me they couldn't do anything about it or move me rooms because they were all booked. I was not happy, I can't stand that smell and also had my 3 young kids staying in the room too. EVERYTHING I had in the room stunk when I got home, my daughter's playpen still stinks and I can't get the smell off of it. Going to have to throw it out it smells so bad and then I need to buy a new one. I was told the entire hotel was smoke free, clearly not!!! Another problem we had was with the restaurant. We ordered some food and brought it back to our room to eat and when we opened the box with the chicken wings they just looked like scraps and there was barely any wings in it. We took it back and tried to get new ones but were told they couldn't do anything about that either cause they were made fresh to order. REALLY?? We were very disappointed in our stay, they could have at least given us a discount for making us stay in such a SMELLY ROOM. Definitely not worth the $200 we paid and we definitely will not be returning!!!

A great hotel with lots of amenities for active kids. Loved the water park and atrium play area (including a climbing wall, jungle gym, badminton, ping-pong & basketball). The location was great after a couple of days exploring Point Pelee and Pelee Island. It was an easy drive into town (both Leamington and Kingsville) for good food. Beds were comfortable and the shower pressure was good. Clean and comfortable overall. The only downside was the $100 (!) security deposit, which will apparently stay on my visa for another 3-5 business days.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Pelee National park. We ended up having to change our room within the first hour of checking in as they had us overlooking the atrium. If you have kids, it's would be a great idea since your door faces the kids play park but two adults travelling not so much. There was only one little girl in the park when we arrived and her screams echoed into our room like she was beside us. If you have kids definitely ask for these rooms but if you aren't traveling with kids, I can't imagine using these rooms. The park is open until 11pm and if one childs screams echos into our room I can't imagine when the park gets filled up. Our room change was greeted with a smile and no problems at all. Room was clean and the location was excellent for trips to the national park

We stayed here for two nights on a road trip through the area. We had a modern, clean, large room on the ground floor with a patio door to the outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the lack of information about the restaurant. The restaurant, situated in an open area adjacent to reception seemed deserted most of the time and there was a lack of information about it in the room. We discovered there was a breakfast buffet in a function room on the Sunday when we went to reception to get a coffee. It was a very spacious venue and it was good value for money. There was plenty of choice and it was good quality. However, it was not available on the Monday and the al a carte was not well publicised.

We were here a year ago and enjoyed it so we returned with six members of our family this year. We had nice rooms, this time looking over the recreation area which was quiet in the middle of the week. Our rooms were comfortable, nice and everything worked. We like this place; service is super pleasant, rooms and common areas are spotless and the food is ok.

This hotel is a bit pricy but it does have lots to offer. There is a inground play centre, ping pong, basketball, badminton and then a pool with a water slide. The rooms were big and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing I would have to say was a down fall, was that my son slipped when he was going up the the waterslide. I have suggested to the hotel that they get rubber non slip mats (the water will drain) and to put railing up. Over all it was great. Just be aware of the hours of the water slide, the pool hours were great. The hotel also aloud us to check in early as we had a party to attend.

Service was spot on. Room was very nice Plenty of space and comfortable bed. But, shower quality and water pressure was terrible. So if you like rinsing shampoo out of your hair, think twice before trying. Using hair conditioner at this hotel is mission impossible.

The Best Western Plus in Leamington was a delightful surprise! It is beautiful! The reception area is spacious and lovely. There is fresh water with fruit in it and fresh coffee all day in the lobby. The rooms are some of the nicest we've stayed in! The restaurant makes great breakfasts for a really reasonable rate. And of course there is the ping pong and pool tables - how fun is that?!!! If you are traveling to Point Pelee National Park - stay here. You won't be disappointed!

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. Check in was smooth, we were warmly welcomed and were told we were receiving complimentary wrist bands for the pool due to my birthday. When we got to the pool with the wrist bands we realized no one else had them on and they were not needed. (Not really complimentary) The room was average but clean and suited us fine. Our children enjoyed the open play area and the pool. We left feeling overall is was a good trip until we saw the charge. The charge on the credit card included an additional $50. We called the hotel to inquire about the fee thinking it was an error to find out it is a security charge. We were told it will be credited, but if we don't see the credit to call back. I find this to be a strange practice and when we called it took a while for them to determine what the charge was. I travel for work and expect a security hold, but not a charge. Would have been better to know about the charge upfront. Perhaps it was in the small print, but as we know no one reads the small print. Irritating surprises like this reduce the likehood of me recommending this hotel to family and friends.

We found this hotel more of a Best Western Minus as everything seemed to be glossed over in a rather cheap way compared to other Best Western Plus Hotels. We were told it used to be a Days Inn but any upgrades that have been attempted are rather cheaply done (loose towel racks in washroom, washroom mirror not solidly installed.)

We were going to Point Pelee National Park and this hotel is the closest to the park. About a five minute drive. The hotel is clean and well maintained and is on a nice piece of property with a small walkway to a small lake. I don't know if it is man made. Across the lake is a trailer park. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. They always seemed to have a smile for everyone. Check in time was at 4:00 p.m. and our rooms were ready for us. I liked the room as it was a nice size with good storage space. The washroom was also a nice size with plenty of towels and they were a nice size bath towel. Our room was on the second floor and there is an elevator which is good for accessibility issues. Our room had sliding glass doors out to the indoor play area. The room also had a coffee maker, fridge, and a desk chair and easy chair so you did not have to sit on your bed. The hotel also provided free wifi. There was a fair size play area and an indoor pool. We used the pool and joined a community water exercise class. At least I believe it was a community class because the participants were not guests of the hotel. I liked the idea of the hotel letting their pool area be used by community. The day we used it it would have been empty except for us. The hotel does have a restaurant and our first night in Leamington we chose to eat at the hotel and were pleased with the quality of food we were served. The dinning room was part of the lobby area which was not bad as you could watch the comings and goings of people. The hotel is ideal for tourists headed to the park for bird watching. With that in mind they have a breakfast menu for early risers starting at 5 and another larger menu for those starting their day at 7. It was a good selection and was good for getting your day started. Other things I liked about the hotel, they are pet friendly, our friends brought their dog which is one reason we chose this hotel. They let us use a table in one of their conference rooms so that we could play mah jong. They are environmentally friendly. They had signs about staying away from bird nests around hotel, they asked people not to back into spaces as the fumes from car would damage trees planted near building. Close to the park. I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

This facility is in very close proximity to Point Peele National Park and also provides easy access into town. There are many options for families with young children looking for physical activity in the atrium area. The rooms are quiet and the staff make a sincere effort to accommodate family groupings. We have used their breakfast arrangements, which have improved to allow for early birding, and will use them agin in the future.

Two negatives: nice televisions but only an analog signal plus no free breakfasts offered which is pretty standard these days. Very pleasant experience with the Hotel. The room was comfortable, the bed slept well, and the staff was extremely attentive. The location to the park was a central consideration in my choosing this hotel last year. This was my second visit in as many years, and I've already booked for next year. I look forward to my return visit at the BW Leamington.

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting Point Pelee and the atrium is really great fun. We had a great time with the badminton courts, basketball, the arcade and the pool. Water slides are really fun and the pool is a good size. Having a walk out to the atrium was a bonus as we could easily check availability on the courts before leaving the room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Reception even bailed us out by getting us soup for lunch when the restaurant was still closed. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Leamington and have kids, we were entertained the entire time.

Checked into the hotel for a 2 night stay and was given a room overlooking the atrium. Yay! Learned right away that the sliding door would not lock so my son kept leaving the room. Asked for a room with a sliding door that locks and was told most don't lock. Prior to learning about the shoddy bar system described below, I asked how my room would be secure during the day when we go to Peele Island, with all our belongings left behind in the room. The response was they never have a problem most people leave their doors ajar. I requested to be moved to a room facing the parking lot as my 2 year old son was constantly escaping the room (to play at the slides) and was told they couldn't accommodate my request. It was then suggested we use the bar (if one was in the room) to prevent the door from being opened. The bar allowed my son to open the door an inch before catching his fingers in the door. He could also move the bar at will. I complained a second time and was told that they would have someone see if the lock could be repaired but they didn't have any idea how long that would take. Someone had been called at the outset, about 40 minutes earlier, but no one had been to the room yet. At this point I had carted my 2 year old plus luggage up to the room and back down again twice. I was at my wits end. I told them the room was unacceptable as it wasn't safe and if they couldn't rectify the problem to refund my stay, without charge. They immediately cancelled the booking without trying to provide a proper solution. I then had to scramble to find alternate accommodations. The entire 45-50 minute escapade was highly stressful and frustrating. I have never stayed in a hotel that had such terrible customer service. For almost $200 a night the least a hotel can offer is a locking door. Didn't actually use the room. Hopefully the toilets work!

I stayed in this hotel over 15 years ago during a hockey tournament. The kids loved it but it was noisy and busy. Not a suitable place at this time for business travel. I could not get a room in Windsor during a recent business trip and booked here apprehensively. I just loved it. My new preferred location. The hotel has been remodelled and it is lovely. The rooms are very clean and modern. The staff was lovely...especially wee Mercedes in the dining bar area. I enjoyed my walk to park by the lake. I enjoyed the wood lot across the street with all the bird songs. My breakfast was great and affordable and my perch dinner was fantastic. Just loved it for business travel. It would be a great venue with small children for a mini vacation with the atrium and the pool area and of course Lake Erie, Point Pelee and Pelee Island.

there are extra charges for the water slides. you will need to have a wrist band to go on them. We bought them when we arrived but when we went to the pool no one else had them and no one cared. When I complained they said they would look into it but nothing was done and I didn't get a refund. So save your money and skip the wrist bands Also they charge extra for a cot which is only an air mattress. We had 3 rooms and 6 kids with us they all had a great time. Just wish we knew that we could have save some money and not got the wristbands or had been reimbursed for them

Clean, fun place if you want to bring your family for a night away. Great place for young kids. We visit this location at least once a year. Hotel has swimming pool with two slides, arcade area, huge jungle gym, half court basketball, pool tables, ping pong tables and badminton nets. Room has fridge, microwave and hairdryer. I like how the rooms have sliding patio doors that go into the atrium for easy access.

Conveniently located close to Point Pelee National Park. Well kept facilities with amazing staff. Appreciated the relaxing atmosphere. It was a perfect two day getaway location. Will definitely be back

Upon arriving we were unable to get an early check in. The hotel was empty so we easily could have been accomodated but Management chose not too. Service industry you do your best and this certainly wasn't. Property and facility was great for children and common areas and rooms looked great. Common area was noisy and made it impossible to sleep however. Water for showers was cold and no plug was available for bathing probably because the water is always cold. The food was completely substandard and the service was never done with a smile. The bar drinks were overpriced and very limited and the service was terrible. In all what should be a 4-5 star property isn't because of poor management and a complete lack of service. For the expensive cost with no service I should have done airbnb. Also in talking with other guests as there were a number of minor hockey teams there this is not a suitable facility for teams to stay at. Again the complaints were poor service, food and no flexibility from staff, security and management. Until Management and staff are changed stay away! We recently stayed at this hotel for the OHF championships. We travelled 15 +hours to this destination. Our first impression when we first arrived was “Oh my goodness it's beautiful”! However we quickly realized how over priced this place was. From Cold Showers, to expensive and disgusting food, and most importantly not an inviting hockey atmosphere. We were promised a conference area to congregate in and then found out it wasn't going to happen. We were forced to purchase over priced drinks at the bar that they ran out of by 10:00pm. So we were forced to return to our rooms. I would recommend this hotel if you like cold showers, terrible food, ignorant hospitality, and highly over priced rooms at $159+ tax upon tax upon tax.

Overall very impressed with the stay at Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel and Conference Centre. I stay at many hotels through out Ontario and I make a point to drive to the closest Best Western because I know I will not be disappointed.

We stayed for a family get together for one night. We had 3 rooms. All were clean and comfortable. Our young children enjoyed the salt water pool with its water slides. The deck could have used more tables and chairs for guests. The atrium was a nice place to meet and the kids and some adults took advantage of the activities. We will stay again.

Stayed here for two days over March break and we had a wonderful time. The kids loved it and the staff was great. We had a couple meals with the Pelee Bistro bar & grill which was very convenient and great as well. Room was very clean. Extremely happy with our stay.

Very enjoyable for adults as well as the kids...lots of games that allowed me to interact with my 16 yr old son n 8 yr old daughter...they stayed in the pool to 11pm...beautiful room...very fancy! I am definitely going back soon!

A group of 5 families made plans for a one night stay so that the kids could have fun during the day and parents could catch up during the evening. My husband and I have a 9 month old, all other families had 1-2 children between the ages of 5 months to 3 years old. The day staff were very friendly and helpful and we were really enjoying ourselves until we learned that we were not aloud to be in the atrium after 10pm. This was frustrating because, as parents, it was an ideal and set up, being able to be just outside of the rooms that our babes were sleeping in, keeping an eye. We politely and respectfully made several requests to remain in the atrium but were simply told "it was not aloud" and that his "hands were tied." We moved to the lobby but our monitors would not reach the distance so we had to make frequent trips back to the atrium to check out monitors. We were then told that we were not aloud to have alcohol in the lobby after midnight. I understand this being part of the licensing but it was really frustrating because we had no where else to go. We all had babes in our rooms. My husband and I travelled three hours to visit. We were playing a quiet game in the lobby, the only ones there, far removed from disturbing anyone in their rooms. Again, understand the rule, but it would have been easy to just monitor us and let us enjoy our company. Instead, again, after several polite requests to stay, we were simply told "no." Personally, I will review the policies and procedures closely before booking to stay again, if we even do. an unfortunate ending to a well looked forward to mini-vacation.

My husband, my 18 month old daughter and myself, along with 4 other families went for a one night get-away to the BestWestern Plus Leamington last weekend. Kids ages ranged from 6 months to 3 years. The check in staff were lovely, and the kids had an absolute blast! My daughter could not get enough of the play equipment and slides. The pool was a comfortable temperature (the slides were not running because it was a sunday), but we were aware of this going into it. While I can not rave enough about how great this hotel is for kids, if you are going with a group and are hoping to socialize after the kids go to bed, strict hotel policies prevent you from doing so, so be prepared for a bed time curfew set by the hotel. As the kids were having fun, bed time was a bit delayed, so by the time all the kids were settled in bed it was 930 and we were finally all sitting in the atrium relaxing outside of our rooms visiting with each other. Just as we were finally all sitting down together, a pleasant hotel worker came and informed us that the hotel atrium closed at 10 oclock and we would either have to be in our rooms, or go to the hotel lobby. While we were quite disappointed by this, hoping we would be able to sit outside of our rooms while the kids were sleeping and hangout and have a few drinks, we appreciated other families were also getting settled for bed, and the need to keep noise in the atrium to a minimum. We asked if there was any flexibility to this rule, and said we would make sure we kept it down, but the worker politely apologized and said unfortunately due to hotel policy we would have to be out by 10, but could stay in the lobby as long as we wanted. So we hooked up our baby monitors and proceeded to the lobby at 10. We were having some drinks in the lobby, playing some card games, no one at any point was belligerent, or disruptive and just before midnight we were approached by the night staff and told that once again due to hotel policy there is no alcohol allowed in the lobby after midnight, so we would either have to get rid of our alcohol or proceed to our rooms. Everyone poured their drinks into plastic cups, and we hoped that we would be able to continue to hang out, as we were not being disruptive, and there was no one else in the lobby. We were once again asked to leave. At this point we were a bit frustrated... again thinking we were not being loud or outrageous and are just parents who don't see each other often wanting to hang out. While we understand the worker was doing his job, and do understand the need for hotel policies, I do want people to be aware that if you plan to come to this hotel and hope to hang out with other couples after the kids go to bed, this is not the hotel to do this at. Perhaps the hotel could learn to be more accommodating when people are not being disruptive. Again, if we were playing beer pong or flip cup and being loud or bothersome, sure, valid reason to ask to us to go back to our rooms, but this was not the case, we were sitting at a table playing cards and board games. The hotel for a kid-friendly get away was perfect, and I would highly recommend! But if I were to go away with a group again, I would unfortunately look for somewhere that better accommodated adults to hang out after the kids were sleeping.

Perfect place for a whole hockey team: pool with slides, pingpng, basketball, arcade, badminton, and climbing gym. You almost forget you are in a hotel and not an amusement centre. Wish they included a continental breakfast.

Had a great time in the indoor pool and slides. Even though it was busy we had a great time. The staff was great even though the power went out a few times they were still calm and accommodating. Will go again.

Checked in for a hockey tournament, found out a whole other team from our league had no rooms as the hotel "over booked". Got to our room and had one bed and a pull out couch instead of 2 queen beds. Manager said there was a "mix up" on a bunch of rooms and they had to move people and because we registered as 2 people we were moved. Told her I put 3 on my reservation she said I did not. I said why would I book 2 beds for 2 people? Her solution was to send a portable cot up!!!! She admitted the pullout couch is not comfortable and when I said then give me a discount she claimed she couldn't as room roster sets the rates not the hotel. I asked who is above her and she already had prefilled cards with that info on it...... So I'm paying $180 a night for a bed and a couch....... I'll be emailing our league to suggest never coming here again. What a joke!!!!

Wow, just checked in to this hotel and super disappointed. Decided to give it another go after a previous bad experience as in close proximity to where we live and wanted to do something special to celebrate Family Day. THE WHOLE ENTIRE REASON FOR COMING HERE WAS THE WATER SLIDES WHICH OUR KIDS LOVE!!!! THEY AREN'T OPEN!!! IT'S FAMILY DAY!!! The rate was significantly higher today then tomorrow which I can understand because it is a holiday. People coming here for this holiday want to have fun with their family!!! Water slides are their big attraction!! I have now heard 3 other families complain about the water slides being closed and how disappointed they were as well. Our kids want to leave. This sucks. Never will come here again, ever??

Reservations were made online through the best western website January 1 for three rooms with requests for connecting rooms or rooms next door to each other and that the rooms be located on the first floor close to the play equipment. January 2 I called the hotel to ensure that all three rooms were on the ground level and connecting and/or beside each other and was assured we would get exactly what we were requesting. February 5 I once again called the hotel to confirm all the details. At that point I was told that they were not able to give us rooms on the first floor as those rooms had to be booked different than how we booked them. When I expressed my disappointment in the lack of service she was able to guarantee (given that I had already been told something that wasn't coming true) me she suggested I just cancel the reservation. Feb 10 we arrived at the hotel and we received our three rooms numbers we noticed that, we were on third floor and we did not have connecting rooms. When we questioned the woman at the front desk she told us we booked the wrong room type and since we booked online they couldn't do anything to help us. Our rooms were located at the farthest point away from all the kid friendly activities that this hotel offers (which we had noted in the original reservation and the first phone call that we wanted to be near). We had to drag our luggage and kids up three different sets of stairs to find our rooms. Upon entering our room we were greeted by freezing cold temperatures. I guess they save money by not heating the rooms but in -15 degree weather, they could just keep the temperature low to give the guest a better experience. All three rooms had their heat off so we know this is a hotel policy, not a fluke. At this point we were frustrated so two of the adults in our party went to the front desk asked if they would give us breakfast on the house because of the frustrations with the reservations and rooms. and was told they couldn't make the decision on breakfast but we could speak with a manager on Monday (we were checking out on Sunday so this didn't help us). We did not accept this and insisted a manager was called at home. The front desk called us an hour later to inform us that her manager agreed with her and they weren't going to do anything for us. Our room appeared to be clean and smelt fine. Upon further investigation we found old garbage and candy on the floor under the bed, behind the chair and in along the walls and Our TV only had a few channels that would work. At this point, we weren't even going to bother telling the front desk and just cleaned it up ourselves and made due with our tablets for TV time. At the pool the lifeguards are a joke they stood around talking and not watching anything that was going on. We paid for the wristbands however noted that only 10% of the guests using the slides were wearing them. We had to have our room key replaced twice during our stay and the families staying with us had to each have theirs replaced once. One thing about this hotel that needs to be noted is that they have a large atrium housing children's play equipment, basketball court, pool tables etc. that is turned into a large adult party. It reminded us of a “spring break” atmosphere. You would think you would wake up to a clean atrium in the morning – no – full garbage cans with garbage around them, food and garbage around the whole area, empty beer cans. It was disgusting. This is a place we are supposed to let our children play in? Also note – the roof in the atrium leaks - buckets were everywhere collecting water.

Instead of buying Christmas gifts for our kids & Families we booked some rooms for a couple nights this weekend. 5 grandkids between 7-4 had an Awesome time. Lots for them to do & keep them busy. Rooms were big & clean all rooms have been up-dated in the last few years. Best motel beds we have slept in, nice & comfortable. Met the manager Stephanie & the events manager Carrie. Both were always very helpful throughout the weekend always checking to see if everything was ok & if any of us needed anything. All staff very attentive & friendly. Will defiantly go back.

Nice hotel. They made a lot of great changes. The rooms are clean. Its tons of fun for the kids. The last two times we stayed there were issued with the pool. The first time the water slide wasn't even working. The second time they shut the pool down for maintenance so we didn't get a chance to swim. The indoor play area is great but watch out for parents who just get wasted the whole time and don't watch their kids so your toddler will get trampled. But I guess that's what you get for family get-a-way. Will probably continue to stay at the lamplighter in London until my son is older to keep up with the older kids who have no control.

From the moment that we arrived at this hotel, we were greeted with friendly, top notch service. We were lucky enough to have a room that walked right out onto the main floor of the indoor play area. The hotel is equiped with an indoor pool that has 2 small slides for children and a very large indoor play area. The play area has a McDonald like climbing structure, 2 ping pong tables, 2 pool tables, a badminton net, a half basketball court, and arcade game machines. There are tables and chairs and a TV at the end for parents to sit. We enjoyed the football game while the kids played. We had 5 kids with us (ages 4-11)and they all enjoyed themselves. There is a reasonably priced onsite restaurant which you can eat at or order food to take back to your room. They even provided us with plates/cutlery. There is a bar. The bartender was exceptionally nice. There is a fridge, keruig coffee maker and a microwave in the room.

Great little place for a weekend getaway with families with young kids (under 12). This hotel is located in a small city very quiet across a golf course . It has a restaurant and indoor pool Area with two small slides and an activity fun center with a small jungle gym, ping pong tables and badminton court . Perfect place to go during the winter or for a birthday party . You can even order pizza and pick it up inside the hotel and bring it to the room . Fun place to go for toddlers to school aged kids

Hotel overall was good. There were many choices of activities for the kids however I felt it was most geared to the 0-12 years. Basketball court and net were closed off and pool with water slide closed unexpectedly at 9pm so left few activities for teens. Upon check in, room charge was incorrect. Front desk was argumentative about rate confirmation sent. Always give your guest the benefit of the doubt.

We had stayed at this hotel previously and had a pretty good experience so upon our return back to Leamington we decided to book a night here again. The hotel hadn't changed much which was okay. The rooms were very clean and we were fortunate enough to be accommodated with an early check in. The hotel was packed this night and the atrium was very busy but it had a very fun atmosphere. It reminded me of a controlled frat house with people drinking and partying but nothing was out of control. The atrium was loud but hotel staff did a good job to quiet things down around 11:00. One complaint was that there is a new policy in which you are charged $10 to use the waterslides. We had never been charged this before. I think though that we were the only ones who bought the wristbands as no one else seemed to have them and it was not enforced. I wouldn't buy it unless they ask about it. The front desk said the lifeguards were to enforce this policy but I don't like the idea of their eyes off the pool to check a wristband. Get rid of this extra fee. Besides that it was a fun stay.

Decided to try something different for New Years Eve this year since it fell on a Sunday . Booked a room way back in May to guarantee a spot. I had also seen a few Facebook posts from friends who had stayed at BWP Leamington on previous New Years Eves. Looked like a lot of fun and a great way to spend the day with family. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They did have a buffet set up on n the banquet hall for a separate fee. They had hot dogs and fries in the atrium. Pool was open later. DJ and activities in the atrium and a balloon drop at midnight!

- poor customer service - nit-picky rules, fault finding - very cold in indoor courtyard - room cleanliness below expectations - tripping hazard cord to Christmas tree, my sister sprained her ankle, and they still didn't fix it - broken basketball net - damaged ping pong table

Ok... hotel is perfect if you have kids 3-5 years old and want to let them run around screaming until 11pm at night. If you're looking for a nice relaxing hotel, this is not it. No breakfast worth eating, go into town. Service is poor. Otherwise it is newer decor, but that's the only positive unless you need somewhere for your young kids to run wild. If you're on business or a couple I'd suggest you stay anywhere else.

Room was clean but you clearly hear your neighbours through the walls. Pool was nicely heated. Lifeguards just glared at guests and chatted with each other. Bed comfy but lightbulbs were burnt out and shower fan didn't work. Restaurant had one waitress for morning service about 30 people... sat for 10 minutes and never got a menu or acknowledgement that she saw us...probably because she was overwhelmed as the only staff working. Beware the tap water smelt like dead fish and tasted nasty. If you want to use the kuerig in the room bring bottled water!

This hotel is perfect for a getaway, especially if you have kids. Water slides, basketball, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, etc. The staff are so friendly and helpful and food is great! The rooms were clean and decor very nice. We'll be back again.

I can't brag enough about this place. We enjoyed our stay so much-we booked a room for new years as soon as we got home. We have stayed in over 10 hotels across Canada this past year n this is by far the best. Can't wait to be back in 2 weeks!!!!

The kids had a great time at the hotel. The facilities were clean and well-kept. Our room opened directly onto the 1st floor play area, which was wonderful so our kids could go in and out of play. I appreciated the fact the pool required a keycard to enter, so no worries about kids entering without us. The breakfast option provided was excellent value - we stayed for a hockey tournament, and having a hot breakfast option was wonderful. I think the only thing I would ask is that staff do a round or two after the play area closes - I noted some guests sat outside their rooms on the 1st floor with coolers, drinking while their kids ran around. Poor parenting decisions, really, but helpful to have visible staff.

Fancy 60 minutes sleep after a hard days work- try it next to a basketball court. Probably the stupidest thing to put in the middle of a hotel i've ever seen. Badminton- fine. Ping pong- fine. Chess- Fine. Reading / tv- fine. Basketball- not effin fine at all. All rooms not next to basketball court were pre-booked and not available despite request. I will not stay here again as it is a joke and a bad one at that.

What a great place for the hockey team. This is by far the best place we have ever stayed during a tournament! The kids had a blast and the parents as well. Staff were great and VERY helpful. Can't wait to come back. Thanks

We recently took our four grandchildren to this establishment for a Christmas getaway in lieu of buying Christmas presents for each of them. At ages 12, 11, 5 and 3 they had the time of their lives enjoying each other and enjoying the facilities. The water slides were the hit but with the play area, arcade and games area everyone had a blast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with all of them and the memories will last a lifetime. The meals in the restaurant were good and the rooms were quite adequate for the six of us. Thank you Best Western for a wonderful getaway. Your staff were amazing as was their hospitality especially Stephanie at reception. She excelled at preparing our upcoming weekend and maintaining our fun level during our stay. Thank you Stephanie.

Water slides and pool were great fun for the kids. Play equipment was a big hit and the open atrium perfect for multiple families to come together. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is easy to locate and the lobby is large with free coffee, tea and water.

We went with a group of approx 20-30 adults and children. The large gym space and the pool were key in entertaining the children! The hours were expansive! We were able to rent a lounge space in the activity center to entertain and mingle while the kids played. We are already planning another stay for a group party!

The room temp reached 82 during the night and staff could not adjust the heat due to something occurring with their AC. We were provided with two small fans however this did nothing to cool the room. Although the play area was good for the kids, it was a terrible room experience!

We stayed here for the night to celebrate my nefews birthday and the kids loved the play area and pool. The only issue we had was the roof was leaking and our socks were soaked from walking in wet carpet

Hotel was amazing. Went with our sons hockey team, all the different activitys the hotel had to offer (basketball court, pool, play structure and open areas) kept them busy during our stay. Room was cold but staff were friendly and helpful so the problem was quickly fixed.

This was my first trip to Leamington, Ontario and my first time at Best Western in this town. What a great hotel for business and family trips. The wireless internet worked perfectly which was very important this trip. After work the pool and open inside sports area was outstanding. Basketball court included. I will return to this hotel close to all the action including the lake. Thanks for a for a great stay. -Dan

We recently celebrated our daughter's birthday with family and friends, and the service was amazing. This is our second year doing this and will continue to do this yearly. It is a great place for kids to play as well as adults to have leisure time...

This was a fun weekend getaway. Our toddler loved the pool. She was too nervous for the slides but they looked like a lot of fun for all ages! The pool was comfortably warm. The atrium was full of activities for the kids. She had a blast running around. It seemed like there was something for everyone - climbing, basketball, badminton, ping pong, cartoons, video games. We were glad we had an outside balcony as the atrium was LOUD! We got take out and brought it to our room. Having a fridge was great. We asked for extra towels as there were 2 of everything and they came quickly. We saw Pelee National Park as it's a short drive away. The Visitors Centre was open and it was very interesting. The breakfast buffet was amazing - it had everything!

Had a great time with our 6 year old granson. He really enjoyed the water slides and the pool. also had a lot of fun on the climbing wall we also played badminton . very nice facility, with friendly staff.

Had a great stay with my husband and 2.5 year old last Monday. The nice front desk lady gave us a main floor room instead of heading up to the third floor. Our sliding door opened up to the playzone which was awesome! The pool was great fun. The waterslides are only open for weekend fun unfortunately and are just for kids of a certain age or height I believe. The playzone was a reason why I booked this hotel yet unless you're maybe over 3 years old, the younger didn't know how to get up into it. It needs stairs. Not staggered steps so that was a downfall. Restaurant food was great and well priced too! Thanks for a great stay on a Monday night!

Roof had leaks, pails laid out to collect the dripping water, Pool had terrible water, rooms didn't have A.C. . Should this be renovated or fixed at min. I would consider coming again so that I can change my review to something better.

Great family hotel very clean with friendly staff would recommend it! Lots to do in the courtyard area. Fun pool and the water is warm enough to stay in awhile. Slide was fun. Loved the basketball area.

- Sink was clogged; When we let the front desk know, they said they'd send the maintenance person. After he had visited, we noticed a pair of sunglasses had been stolen! He never returned with the tools to complete the job, so we had a plugged sink all weekend. - The lifeguards were useless and a bad face for the company. Their uniforms are not professional and they weren't all wearing identifiable lifeguard shirts. They were nodding off to sleep while sitting in lounge chairs on the job. They allowed children to enter and swim without any adult present. - The server at the cafe who served us breakfast was unpleasant and did not check on us. The coffee was awful and our waters were empty, neither got tended to. - There were used plastic cups on the bathroom counter upon our arrival. - The internet was dreadfully slow and cut out regularly (like every 5 minutes) in our room. We had to move to the lobby to use it. - The clerk at check out did NOT ask us how our stay was at all; or we would have shared some of these problems. We stayed in a KING room with a balcony, which thankfully did not open to the atrium or back on to the atrium! VERY loud space!

Charged breakfast and restaurant foods that we didn't order. During check out my invoice was corrected but hasn't receive a refund credit on my Mastercard for the last 2 weeks of this survey. As a result, I wouldn't recommend to stay with BW plus.

It was a very nice and clean hotel close to Point Pelee NP. It would be a great place to take a family for a weekend getaway. Nice pool and play area for children. It was just a little noisy if your room faced the inside play area.

Very well maintained in that area, if visiting again would like to stay at the same place, very well maintained especially if travelling with kids this would be the best place in this area. Rooms and lobby was well maintained, restaurant in house was very well serving.

My father, who is confined to a wheelchair, and I arrived at the hotel the afternoon of Wednesday, October 11, 2017. It was 11 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit) outside. We checked into our wheelchair-accessible room where it was 26 degrees degree Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit). Upon complaining, I was told that the air conditioning had been turned off for the winter. I was told that I could open the room's patio door -- which opened onto a noisy enclosed courtyard. I was offered a tiny fan to help cool the room. In the morning, the room temperature had fallen to 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). Why the air conditioning was turned off when rooms were still in the mid-20s (high 70s) is unclear. We were offered a "choice" of switching rooms. However, the choice was not real, as it involved going to a room that was not wheelchair-accessible. I have stayed in many Best Westerns and this was the worst. Ultimately, the bill was reduced by about one-third and we were given free breakfasts. This was fine, but did not compensate for what was ultimately a bad decision by the hotel.

Recently renovated rooms. Pelee park is less than 10 minute drive. For those that are birders this is a great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend going into town to eat rather than eating there.

We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel while my husband was in the area for business. We booked this hotel given that it had the highest star rating for the options in the area, the saltwater pool with waterslides and a fridge and microwave in the room. The front lobby of the hotel presents modern with up to date renovations however this was not reflected in our room. I would like to highlight our concerns: 1. The air conditioner was broken in our room the first night. We requested to change rooms and this was honored immediately. However in our second room the air conditioner was quite loud and the temperature set on the thermostat did not match the temperature in the room. The temperature in the room was always hotter than the set temperature and I would have to get up during the night each night to change the temperature lower in order for the air conditioner to switch on again. 2. The bathroom was in need of maintenance and upgrades. Ie: countertop not upgraded and bathroom door was paint chipped and did not fit properly as it would stick when closed and needed an extra push in order to close it. We had to wait a long time for hot water in both the shower and from the bathroom tap. And our biggest concern with the bathroom was the sewer smell coming from bathroom. I am unsure which drain it was coming from in the bathroom however it was strong, especially in the mornings. 3. The water slides were not open at all during the week we stayed. This was very disappointing to us as we had booked this hotel given that they had the saltwater pool with waterslides. I will note that no where on their website does it advertise the open/closed times for the waterslides. We also choose not to swim during our stay because every time we went to the pool there was a noticeable layer of film, dirt and dead flies on the top of the water. This was even visible after a group had been swimming and stirred up the water one morning. I will add that the linens and towels were clean. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel one evening and the food was good. Also, the exterior grounds of the hotel were well maintained and nice. Tip: if you are planning to stay at this hotel for a longer period of time and having a window to the exterior is important to you, ensure you request a room on the exterior side of the hotel. Our room the first night was on the interior and faced into the atrium. This would be great if you had children playing in the atrium in order to supervise them however these rooms could potentially be loud and do not provide the option to look outside or open the blinds to sunlight.

We stayed at BW Leamington Plus this week. The first night the air conditioning did not work so we switched hotel rooms. The second room had a strong smell of sewer gas in the washroom. We had ;our newborn son with us and had too much stuff to move rooms again. May have had just really bad luck with this stay, I travel a lot and these are concerns that are just not acceptable. The area is very nice and Point Pelee is great. We were offered a free breakfast because of the issues but had to get going so weren't able to take advantage.

We stayed for three nights. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. Basically, everything as expected. I wish that breakfast would be included. The only minus was that our room overlooked the interior atrium. There was not any noise but it would be nicer to overlook an exterior view. The room seemed a little stuffy with stale air. Anyways, it was ok.

The hotel was everything that was advertised. The pool is saltwater and exactly the right temperature. The water slides were great for all age groups. The play area also was good for all ages and was well used by our grandkids. The room was comfortable and clean. Our room opened to the play/pool area which was convenient for watching the kids but a little bright and loud for sleeping until it closed so if you have little ones that need to sleep early or no kids and need to rest for business or something else don't book a room that opens to the play area. The tv was nice but it would have been more convenient to know what channels were available and what they are. We didn't have dinner at the restaurant due to a wedding and another event going on at the hotel but we did enjoy the buffet breakfast. The breakfast would have been better if some fruit would have been offered to provide a more balanced meal

We were in the area to make a major purchase and we found the Best Western in Leamington had (almost!) everything we needed in a hotel. The pool and water slides as well as the indoor play park were a total hit with our 8-yr old. We stayed on a night when 2 weddings were happening, so it was a bit busy, but nothing to fear. The parking lot was secure, the noise level was absolutely fine given the merriment of the events and the staff went out of their way to help us (we needed a few things in the room, blankets and such). I highly recommend this hotel and Wendy in particular was kind and helpful when we were leaving bright and early in the morning and she was finishing her shift. Thanks everyone for making our stay absolutely wonderful!

Very nice stay, location really nice to restaurants and Park. Facility was very well kept up and staff was enjoyable. Would for sure come back again as there was many things to do. Next time I may bring the kids with, lot of things for them to do also. Thank you for a great stay.

NO, NO not everythinkg worked out with our stay at the BW Leamington. Our group was composed of 25 people staying in 16 rooms. We have a lot of issues to complain about 1) The booking process was caotic. Since January we were in touch with 3 different persons and it seems that nobody was aware of what the other person did. 2) We were also told that no written contract was necessary, very unusual but as we trusted the brand name, we accepted. 3) One couple for which we had requested a room with elevator acces was given a room in a second building on the second floor WITH NO ELEVATOR. 4) We had requested the breakfast included in the the price, but this was not the case the first morning we were told that this was not the case and that we had to order out of the menu and pay on our own. I accept that it is possible that they did not get my mail from two days before, but it was requested MONTHS ago. 5) AND THEN THE NOISE from the atrium after 10pm. There was noise far after 11 pm coming from the kids and people playing and talking in the atrium, UNBELIEVABLE. 6) The kitchen messed up some of our orders, for example we were 3 ordering a steak which we never got, apparently the kitchen spoiled it completely. We ordered chicken wings then, which were good. Hopefully we did not have to pay for our meal. 7) With the bill, came the next surprise. (Unfortunately I only noticed it two days later). There was a charge of 64 Dollars for gratuity of the Housekeeping. This had never been talked about and agreed. The good things : The two waitresses at the restaurant did a OUTSTANDING good job. Management should invest a little bit in their training and they will be perfect. We want to adress our THANK YOU to them. The checking in process was good, our room keys were ready upon arrival. Conclusion : It might be possible that we will be in the area with another group next year, but one thing is sure, this hotel will be only our choice if there is no other solution. By the way it puts a shadow on all the other BWs.

As it states, this hotel was a convenient location for the family and I to visit the national park. Kids loved the pool and arcade area. Check in was questionable...ID wasn't requested and neither was my credit card. I was using BW points that I collect to pay for the room...Points were never taken from my account and my CC was never charged...I would seriously question your check in procedures and policies... Also, housekeeping girl entered my room twice with her own key shortly after I checked in. Didn't knock or announce herself. Needless to say I took everything with me to the pool after that.

Great staff and stay. The staff went out of their way for myself and my family....Just a great place for fun and family time. I wouldn't go anywhere else! The pool is warm and clean the slides are great for kids of all ages...close to Point Pelee and there is a go cart track for the kids less than 2 minutes away! We had a ball! Thanks Best Western Plus!

Not too bad, not many things to do around there. Sucks when you're on the third floor and there is no elevator to bring your stuff up and down. After unloading the car and having to bring things up one at a time is exhausting. I request to never get that side and it's the one I always get :(

Very nice and clean but noisy as your room backs onto a play area and pool . Lots of screaming kids exc. Very nice rooms and friendly staff though. Recommend getting reservations as place was full the Saturday we stayed.

Very nice newly renovated hotel. Everything nice and new and the restaurant right in the front lobby was very good for dinner and breakfast. Make sure upon booking in you go for the Bed and Breakfast package if you like a delicious hot, made to order breakfast in the morning. The extra $5 per person is so worth it. The salt water pool is nice and warm and really big. There is a water slide there but wasn't open when we were there at night. Lots of games to play in the atrium. Service was great. The room was very clean and everything worked. It is located a bit out of town in the middle of nowhere. Like somebody plopped it in a field, but not that far from civilization. Worth the drive that's for sure. It IS Leamington's ONLY FULL SERVICE hotel, it does have everything even including a good variety of snacks !

We stayed at the hotel on Sat and Sun nights for the Labor Day long weekend. It is a very family friendly hotel. Our son love the play area and the pool which has quite warm comfortable water. The only issue was the roof leaking on play area during heavy rain. The hotel did put buckets around leaky spot to catch the rain so playground didn't get wet. The pillows and beds were quite comfortable to us. Yes it can be noisy until 11 when play area is closed. However I found that it is much less noisy than other hotel with same setting (rooms facing court yard that serve as playground). The kids enjoy the hotel very much. And there are a lot of things to do around there so you're basically gone in the morning and only come back in evening for toddler nap. This is when the playground court yard being used the most! The games were quite expensive as it is $1 for a short game if your kids are into car racing, etc. Overall we love this hotel. We booked it last minute and I wish we could've stayed longer. We'll be back next year as there are trails we want to see but didn't have enough time.

We stayed over Labour Day long weekend. The room was clean. Pillow was not that comfortable though. Our room was on the first floor facing the courtyard playground. Very convenient to go out and have some fun. But it was also busy and was noisy until past 11 pm. If you are a light sleeper probably request a room facing outward. We didn't use the pool or have breakfast at the hotel.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Having run conferences in many parts of the world, it is difficult to imagine that they could do a good job with food. The morning breakfast is not included. We paid extra, which was OK- BUT- there was only one chef and one waitress and it took a long time to get our food for breakfast. Honestly, I ordered oatmeal and it look like it had been recycled. On a positive note, our room was large and spacious with a good sized bathroom, and it was cleaned and made up nicely. It was noisy until late evening because the center of the hotel is an indoor playground for children. Next time I would book a room on the outer edge of the hotel. Overall, this hotel is a good one for families, and not so great for couples. I would return again for the sole reason that it is very close to Pelee National Park.

First room had noisy air and Atrium View. Requested another room. Finally found us another room after we mentioned going to another hotel. New room located on parking lot side of building and was excellent.

we enjoyed a family fun mini vacation with our 6 grandchildren ages infant - 8 yrs old. something for everyone. We had a main level atrium room which allowed us to enjoy group conversation while still being able to watch all the children run and play.

the room was clean , amazing for families with young children...We had breakfast two days in a row and it was very good, the young waitress was busy but made the time to stop and chat a little...fast and friendly service, Trudy the breakfast waitress was wonderful but we checked out before seeing her again, we hope to go back soon...

This place was really unexpected. There weren't a lot of options available so we booked this 2.5 star place. It is a very new hotel with a nice indoor pool and great indoor games for the kids. If you have kids in the under 12 age group I think it would be terrific. The pool is warm and has a great slide. There is a huge indoor atrium with ping-pong, jungle gym, just general family mayhem area. In the spacious lobby there is a bar and a restaurant. Breakfast food is your typical breakfast diner - lots of options under $10.

Wish the cameras could of been checked or something 300 dollars was taken so it was quite depressing. Other then that it was a amazing time . The go karts are nice and close . Lots of things for the kids to do

Our stay at the Best Western Leamington, provided a great experience especially since it was a last minute reservation. We had to cancel our booking at another hotel first because of their new absurd policy of paying for your stay at the time of check-in and the filthy check-in area. Even though we paid more in terms of rates it was worth it.

Everything was great. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of extra pillows. Lounge staff and front desk staff very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the games room and pool in the evening. Lots to do close by. Point Pelee National Park was a great adventure for our family.

Not only was everyone pleasent to talk to the facility was clean and the kids had a blast. The rooms were clean and quite large. Had so many areas for the kids to play and the pool and slides we just a great time for all!!

Great family hotel. I was travelling with my 2 grandkids on an adventure to Point Pelee National Park and then Pelee Island the next day. We booked a 2 bedroom suite which was a good choice. The rooms were very clean and the space worked well for the 3 of us. Our room faced out onto the play area - so a little noisy until all the kids went to be, but all in all great fun. The pool is amazing and I am so impressed - 3 life guards on duty! Morning breakfast was good, staff was very helpful and all in all a great place for a family stay.

We enjoyed our stay but the "high speed internet" would not even let us connect to the interenet most of the time. The serving staff in the restaurant was not friendly and brought the bill before we even ate. We asked for a Shirley Temple for the child who was with us and it seemed unusual that at a hotel lounge that caters to families they didn't have the ingredients to make one. However, we really enjoyed the Atrium with the variety of games to play.

The rooms with balconies are centred around the kids playground. Kids up until after 11 screaming and running all over the hotel - easily heard from both sides of our room. Very noisy. No bar service after dinner and nowhere to eat/drink within walking distance open after 9pm on a Saturday. Wifi barely 2 bars. Front desk staff were very friendly, almost too friendly; giving every detail regardless that the check-in/service line was long, otherwise check-in was fine.

We are normally stay at Hampton Inn by Hilton. There were no Hampton Inns in Leamington. We went to Point Pelee National Park and then took the ferry over to the island, so this hotel was convenient. We had no issues and it compared very well with a Hampton. Updated decor, comfortable king bed, friendly service and clean. We didn't have children, and I did notice that this hotel would be very fun for kids as they have a huge indoor recreation area and an outdoor pool. Here is a good tip - don't choose a room that overlooks the indoor play area. They are called atrium view rooms. Very noisy. We picked a balcony view and it was very quiet

The hotel was very nice, overall. Although our King Balcony room was nice, there appeared to be a ceiling leak. The front desk staff & maintenance man along with the Front Office Manager were very friendly and tried to assist my husband & I in reviewing the problem. Since there wasn't another King Balcony room available, we decided to overlook the damage ( it was not leaking) and remained in the room without incident. Wendy Foubert, the Front Office Manager, was very helpful in compensating us for the inconvenience.

I would not stay here again, unless I was bringing my grandchildren. I have no idea why my sister and myself were given the room we had!!! We are both senior citizens and that was known when I booked the room. Why would we want accessibility to a recreation area full of kids? Our room should have been on the other side of the hotel, with light coming into our room. The other side had no windows, (where we were) it was like a bat cave, we hated it!!!

Enjoyed everything about it. All the stall was knowable about the area and the restaurants. Great for families and everyone. Catered to all people even with disabilities and pets. jThe property was well looked after always clean and tidy.

Hotel was clean and renos looked nice. The staff were super friendly and nice, brought up ammenties as soon as they were called. No hassle at check in or out (yay express checkout). Would come back again, good location and free parking.

We were storm-stayed (ferry cancellation due to bad weather) overnight in Leamington on a Friday of a long weekend, with no plans to stay in a hotel. Rooms were scarce, but the Best Western staff found rooms, and looked after our group of 10 travelling to Pelee Island, what care, what comfort. Thank you...

Our room was not ready till 5:30. Our room had red ants. I hurt my foot badly on the pool deck. There were two areas of concrete missing. There were no yellow cones marking this area as dangerous. Life guards at the top of the water slide area were not paying attention to the children. They were busy talking to one another.

After arriving at 630am..having to leave the previous motel we were in and a terrible experience..Expedia had miss forgot to forward reservation. Front desk quickly got us a room and allowed for an extended check out till late afternoon. Day staff was more then happy to assist us..although we didnt get to use pool and splash pad..lookes like a place where i would bring the whole family..

Appalled to find out there was no complimentary breakfast. Most BW hotels we've stayed at offer breakfast.... how much would it be to offer a continental breakfast? Wifi was not the greatest! On a cool night, you could not leave the sliding doors open, the neighbours' AC unit was so loud! Even the one in the room was very loud.... which does not help towards a good night sleep! All in all, not the best....

After much searching, as I wanted to do a little getaway that was not too far from home, we decided to go with Best Western Plus by Point Pelee National Park. The point was good, but not the hotel. Our room was very spacious but not enough furniture. One loveseat that also served as a pullout bed, but no coffee table to set a beverage upon nor side tables by the loveseat; no arm chairs to relax in. So where does the family sit? I reserved this room as I don't like sitting on the bed when in the room. But still had to do so as there was not enough furniture in the room. They had the space but was not utilized. On addition, the room was not in great shape. There was a square hole in the wall by the entrance. There was a loud portable air conditioner that really prevented you from opening the curtain as the huge ventilation tube went through there, which really didn't matter anyway, as the view out the window was the roof of the facility! The facet in the bathroom was loose and so was the toilet; it had quite the wobble when you sat down and got up. Not a good feeling... The room had a king bed, small fridge, a desk and desk chair, a cabinet closet by the entrance and a very wobbly folding luggage holder plus a larger luggage tray by the entrance (that was nice). The facility has a big indoor pool with a couple slides, recreational area that included video games, climbing wall, slides, batminton court, 2 ping-pong tables and 2 billiard tables. We brought our own cues with us, as we used to play in our younger years, but were disappointed that we had to pay a dollar per game to play, while other items were free and since we paid so much for the room you'd think it would be included!?! You get this particular room for $311.67 CDN including tax, for 1 night! Way over priced in my opinion. Had the room been in good shape with furnishings, I'd be happy. Instead very, very disappointed. I paid much less for a kitchenette suite with 2 bathrooms in downtown Ottawa, this past March! Seriously! Suggestion: add hand sanitizer stations in various locations in recreation area. There are none! After playing these things this a MUST to have! Note: the last photo is looking out the front window of our suite to the recreation area. When was the last time you saw a portable air conditioner in what was considered a decent hotel? Really?

Very good service from the hotel staff. The room was spacious and comfortable and the location excellent for the two days we spent at Point Peelee National Park. It's a short drive to the park and to many nearby eaterie. Beautiful sunsets over the lake.

This was our first time in Canada, after a hard board crossing and another local hotel messed up our booking. We landed at this Best Western. Worn out and not very happy we checked in, but the staff turned this trip right around for us. They were over the top friendly and helpful. They took time to explain everything to us and really made us feel welcome. They even went as far as to get us a room really close to parking due to the long drive and board issues that made us so late. They really helped turn our trip around. Can't say enough about the staff and the room was very nice. What an unexpected treat.

Modern amenities, great location, comfortable rooms, excellent fresh breakfast, helpful staff! More geared towards families as there are sporting facilities not found in other hotels - including a badminton court (which is pretty unique). Looks like a nice place to hold a reception/wedding too! Really close to Point Pelee National Park and some great fish places! Highly recommended!

We had mostly a good experience, but the price was $20-$30 more than the Quality Inn and Days Inn up the road with comparable amenities and quality. This hotel does not have a breakfast included either. Pool and slide hours were not the same as those posted. Closed early and opened later. Sad children.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our event wonderfully successful! We highly recommend this Best Western in Leamington! Andrew, PJ, and Carrie worked long hours to make our event great!

Unfortunately there is not anything better in the Leamington area. Almost all homes or cottages want a week rental. For the price of the hotel, wTer slides and breakfast should be included in the price. Internet was not working more than it was working. Temp in fitness room was 78F/26C which is absurd for working out in a tiny room

We rarely stay in Best Westerns due to the really great difference from one to the other. In other words, we never know what to expect; sometimes really nice, the next time pretty average. This BW was ranked by TripAdvisor as Leamington's best hotel, so we opted for it on our road trip through Ontario. It was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and spotless. The hall and rooms--because of the colors--were less attractive than say, a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, but certainly not depressing. The breakfast was good. There was an apparent shortage of breakfast help, but the manager stepped in with his shirt and tie and everything worked. Impressive! The grandkids greatly enjoyed the central recreational area a few steps from our rooms. This property is outside of town a couple of km and is very quiet and calm. Given the lack of other better options, we would certainly stay here again. We recommend the property without qualifications.

Agreat place to relax and enjoy life in all it's variety, especially Birds. the area is full of things to do, the locale people are very very nice. A place to visit many times. I would go back there any time.

Great amenities in suite (fridge, microwave, Keurig, large flat screen TV) as well as in the hotel (huge play area with full size badminton court, ping-pong tables, smaller snooker tables, 1/2 basketball court, video/arcade games, air hockey, huge slide & climbing station for kids + workout room with cardio machines & weights) + water park + restaurant), and water & coffee available for free in lobby area. Would be a fantastic destination for a family gathering. Delicious food available from on site restaurant too. Only 5 minutes from "West Dock" ferry arriving from Pelee Island at Leamington.

This hotel provides many amenities of a resort all under one roof. My son really enjoyed playing basketball, badminton and pool in the atrium. The pool was enjoyable and clean. Visitors do need to be aware that the elevator only services rooms on the lobby side of the atrium. We were on the other side and reaped the benefits of regular stair climbing.

Air-conditioning would not cool past 71and no one did anything to resolve the problem. Two nights of total discomfort maintenance acknowledged the problem but couldn't do anything about it. Sad trip..

Check in was fast and welcoming which was perfect after traveling for several hours by car with little ones. The room was clean and cool. Our kids were surprised and excited about the playground inside and also the pool area (which has two slides). The pool area was also staffed for pool safety and easy to identify. The facilities were clean and an enjoyable temperature. Housekeeping delivered wonderful service and parking was ample. The hotel was conveniently located to a few places we were interested in visiting as well. It was not far to drive to Point Pelee National Park and also to the ferry to Pelee Island. Overall, a great stay.

We stayed in this hotel for about a week. Two adults and a child. The facilities for kids are really amazing and useful to entertain children. There's a big indoor play area, ping-pong tables, basketball court, pools. There's a nice swimming pool with two slides that is also very nice but I found the water wasn't as clear as you would expect from a clean swimming pool. We haven't tried the bar at the entrance but it seemed nice. The room had a good space but I found the ac a little too noisy and something in the bathroom a bit old. Some parts of the room weren't as clean as I appreciate. Free wifi and big parking available. Good location. Overall a nice experience and recommended. I'm not rating higher because I think they could really do more.

We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western hotel in Leamington. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager, Andrew, ensured we were happy with our stay at the hotel by speaking with us in the restaurant and in the lobby when we returned from our Pelee Island visit in the evening. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again or recommend it to someone else. Thank you to Andrew and his team at the Best Western in Leamington for a most enjoyable stay.

Stayed in July, they have completed a nice renovation to this property. Great for family's, especially with younger kids. Nice upgrade to rooms and main foyer. We did not like all the Fish Fly's, but that was not the hotels problem. Great place, nice staff...

I saw a hotel with a good location, a fun pool, a gem rear play area, badminton, and ping pong! At first I was nervous because our hotel overlooked the play area but once in the room - we couldn't hear it. My con was that twice we had to call the front desk to have the hot water turned on. Hubby saw a place badly in need of updating. It was decorated well but the rooms and doors needed to be repainted and the lock to the gym was busted. He did think drinks at the bar were cheap. On another note - the outside doors to the pool area were wide open. Any non hotel guests could have easily walked in yet residents needed a key card to get in through the hotel.

This hotel has all the features you would want in a hotel for your young family. The layout of the room took into account if there was a noisy night in the atrium; so that was appreciated. We were provided a portable air conditioner as I surmise something was wrong with the central air. I was unclear about the capacity of the hotel on a Wednesday that would not warrant us being placed in another. I did not bring it to the attention of the staff at the time as we did an early check-in so I assumed that capacity was the case and we had a number of events ahead to fill our day. In the end the the portable AC would have been fine had it been installed correctly. The window attachment was not secured properly so humidity would easily come into the room. The unit kind of cools the room and I did not want to make an issue at 11pm when we arrived. Agitation arrived when the rain storm arrived at 1am making the installation fall apart and the room became somewhat humid. Please clean the pool deck area, bubble gum should not be left stuck to the ground. None of the change rooms in the pool area were working/out of order. I appreciate the atrium maybe an old addition to the hotel so the atrium leaks. I have to assume this have been investigated with no success. It was not a huge problem, but it would be if it rained all day and you wanted to use the facilities in the atrium. The concern around the AC was brought up to the check out desk, there was no manager follow up. I've already email HQ a about my concern...There was also no follow up. My room was discount via my association...It would not be appropriate to think that we warrant an 90% working room because of a discount on the room.

Hotel is an excellent place to stay. Pool / waterpark was fun entertainment as was the Atrium play area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The waterpark slide was lots of fun and we didn't mind paying extra for it since the area had lifeguards on duty. We especially enjoyed having a Kuerig coffeemaker in the room and additional k-cups were readily available. Nothing special about breakfast or the restaurant.

My family and I had so much fun at this hotel. But when we first arrived, the air conditioning broke and it was really hot outside. They were kind enough to give us free passes to the pool. AND THE POOL WAS EPIC! I loved it it was really fun. This hotel was the best and I would totally go back again.

We were very surprised at how nice the hotel was! Awesome for kids due to the really cool jungle gym and pool area! Definitely worth returning to! For us, it was great because pets ARE accepted! Very friendly staff, too!

We just returned from 2 nights at this lovely family hotel! The facilities are clean, room was spacious, and the water play area and climbing gym are perfect for families with young kids! We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return as it is convenient for visiting extended family and in a lovely location we would like to explore more!

The hotel is exactly what we expected, not elegant, but serviceable and clean, however, a number of rooms are RIGHT near the jungle gym and slide for children to play on until 11 PM at night. (The front desk told us the cutoff was 10, but kids were playing on it at 10:55). Maybe it was a couple of particularly unruly families visiting just this weekend, but the noise from screaming kids pounding up and down the slide and other play equipment is very annoying. If you are parents, maybe you think this is great. But others need to be warned away from booking rooms that face the courtyard. Also, if you have an inside room, you only have a window onto the interior courtyard, not outside.

Wow! Unsuspecting gem of hotel in small town Leamington. We stayed in hotels all over Canada on our road trip and this was the best, family friendly, squeaky clean hotel! The purpose of our trip was for a short overnight stay and a visit to Point Pelee, but the kids enjoyed the large pool with slides and indoor play area with pool tables, play area and indoor volleyball. Lobby was fantastic, open and welcoming with restaurant and bar. No better option if in the area with kids!

We had a great experience with friendly staff, very comfortable beds, quiet rooms- make sure you request outside room as the pool and games areas are the central court. Central location to Point Pelee and Peele Island. Rays rib house close to the ferry has fabulous food and very efficient and friendly staff. Chucks roadhouse across from the Wal-Mart mall has great wings and beer. Will return to this hotel for sure. Just sorry we did not take advantage of what looked like a great pool for swimming. We did enjoy a game of billiards...

From the tons of parking, the modern facility and rooms, comfortable beds, nice clean indoor pool, efficient and friendly staff to the delicious breakfasts right in the hotel with a friendly and excellent waitress we had a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay again! We were 4 adults in our party and stayed on the balcony side instead of the atrium side. Looks like a fun place for families but thought it might be a little noisy on the other side for us.

What a great place for families the hotel is great with lots to do in case of a rainy day. The pool is awesome with water slides and a splash area. There is a play room with basketball badminton pool tables air hockey an abracadabra and jungle gym tree house the kids had a blast. The room are great and very clean the staff is great. Location is fabulous it is just up the street from Pelee point national park. All in all we had a great stay

Clean full service hotel in Leamington near Lake Erie. We were in town for a wedding and booked multiple rooms. It's a great hotel especially if you have kids. Many activities in their atrium. Employees are friendly and go out of their way to help you. Wendy, the manager, located our lost wine and man's bracelet and safe kept it until we could retrieve the items. Not many choices for hotels in Leamington, so this one is definitely a winner. Highly recommend if you're staying in Leamington. It's my go-to choice.

What a nice clean hotel. Very nice staff. The room had a balcony so we could have air rather than air conditioning. Easy to access. They have a restaurant and some supplies like water and snack food. Close to Point Pelee National Park. Close to Leamington for shopping and an interesting cemetary. Great place for kids too.

Recently stayed at this hotel for a quick getaway to see the National Park and spend a day on Pelee Island. The rooms are very clean, modern, have a small fridge and microwave. Beds were clean and very comfy. the hotel itself is new and modern. Our only suggestion for the hotel based on our experience is to address the AC units, they are extremely noisy and made it very difficult to sleep. On the balcony the noise from all room ACs was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. There are no patio chairs on the balconies to sit out on and enjoy the view...noticed people took banquet room chairs. Was not told there was free wifi or what the code was on check in. the shower water pressure is very weak.
