Best Western Plus Lampasas Inn & Suites

Disappointed in this property. This is a “Plus” property but isn't really. We stayed at a Plus in Sulphur La that was much nicer. The bed is hard and not much cushion. May be old mattress. Pillows were ok but not king size. Has nice shower but towel rack keeps falling off the wall. The toilet has an issue with flushing. Breakfast was a little less than average. We were down at 8 AM and the biscuits were dried out and crumpled in your hand. The eggs were dry as well. A small selection of bread and muffins. Did have waffle machine and fruit juice machine.

This is the only place we stay in Lampasas. I love this place. The breakfast is excellent, especially the old fashioned sausage gravy. I highly recommend this property. The staff is usually always very helpful.

Good location. Convenient parking but not covered. Make your needs and wants CLEAR. Get the name and contact information of a staff person. Remind the staff of your request -- especially if it concerns QUIET and a WAKE-UP call. A light bulb in a lamp was flickering; after I called, a maintenance man brought a new bulb.

We have reservations that would accommodate our group. Due to the mismanagement or lack of attention to detail our rooms were given to other guests. We ended up having to use pull outs and roll aways. When the staff was confronted about the mistake it was made clear they were unwilling to correct it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean comfortable rooms. Pool was clean and well taken care of . Would highly recommend this hotel in Lampasas, Texas. Close to several restaurants including Putters and Gutters.

Love the pre check-in option before arrival, made the process so much easier and quick. Very clean, updated property. Delicious, hot breakfast included. Exceptional staff. Had never been to Lampasas before and came there for a funeral. We will definitely be returning to this fine city. Excellent hotel, excellent day.

It's always not an easy experience to loss someone you love and this time it's my mother. The price per night is high, I didn't get a break, not even a senior citizen, AARP etc. The staff are friendly. I wish they should have given extra towels based on the nights you're staying and the number of your guests staying in the room. My family have to used our towels over and over the whole time we were there. Most of the time, we're in the funeral home, we are at the hotel to sleep.

The place was clean, and the staff friendly, but the pillows are horrible (tiny little squares) and they have no other options. "Free" breakfast would be great unless you cannot eat gluten, because they even cross contaminate the eggs by storing the toast in the same warmer. That being said, it is one of two decent options in town.

Clean room, helpful staff, excellent staff and quiet hotel. The breakfast was varied, including the basics such as cereal, toast, waffles, coffee, juices, plus the special hot breakfast was cheese omelets and sausage.

New and clean. A wonderful place with kind courteous staff. The rooms were immaculate as was the entire facility. Conveniently close to Putters and Gutters! We will stay here again when we are in the area.

We stayed in Lampasas on Wednesday 22 March having arrived from the UK the day before. The hotel was good - clean comfortable with a nice room. The breakfast was fine if not extensive and the staff were friendly. However, our experience was tarnished quite a bit by our experience at check-in. We arrived after a 5 hour drive from the Houston area getting to the hotel at about 2pm. We were meeting friends at 3pm and were still jet lagged from our transatlantic flight and feeling exhausted. Although the official check-in time was 3pm the hotel was quiet and we asked if we could check in assuming, of course, that our room was ready. The good news was that our room was indeed ready and we could check-in ---- for an additional charge of $25! To say we were not thrilled would be an understatement and we politely turned the offer down as it was quite close to the requested check-in time of 3pm. I even mentioned that we'd had a long and tiring trip to get there but to no avail. We were told it was the hotel policy. The reception person was pleasant and presumably following the hotel guidelines but it seemed ridiculous. I can understand if someone was wanting to check in at 10.00am but not at 2.00pm. I have checked in to many hotels prior to the normal check-in time over the years if the room was available and not once have I been asked for an additional fee for this. I have given 3 stars despite this as the hotel was fine apart from our dispiriting start at check-in. I'll make sure I book in somewhere else if I'm ever in Lampasas again.

Super clean and excellent service. Their free breakfast options are always excellent. The rooms are very nice and the showers are great. Appreciate the freezer in the mini-fridge for my ice packs. Great place to stay in the San Saba area!

This location is very noisy due to the traffic, reminds me of a truck stop. The room oom was nice and clean, the staff were great. The guests were rude and loud at all hours and the traffic was very loud. Utility workers staying the night ran their commercial vehicles outside our window while they ate breakfast inside.

Very inviting experience. I've stayed in many a crappy dive in my time (musician) and this was out-standing. A nice bit of consistency, when travelling in general can be anxiety-inducing. The ebb-and-flow of your creature comforts having been thrown up into the air. Will this spot have SOMETHING I can actually eat, what with my gluten intolerance AND my lactose 'thing'?! In the times when that's a big fat 'NO' (quite often) it's nice to at the least have a cool, clean spot to go back to when you're all bowed up like a yard-dog, experiencing a firehose-through-a-screen-door type of situation. My hotel room was comfortable and no one was there to hear my moans of pain. Also like that they leave out the good sugary coffee creamers, in between breakfast service. So that my hotel coffee experience might be improved.

The hotel is nice & clean. The staff was excellent & very helpful in answering questions about the amenities & the local attractions. It has a nice outdoor pool. The rooms were spacious & comfortable.

Was sent to two different rooms and both had someone already staying in them and we walked it on them. Pre booked the room and did early checkin online and Arrived at 3pm and no rooms available waited in the lobby for 1hr after the 3pm checkin to finally get a room after being given keys to two rooms that were already occupied

Clean, friendly, convenient location to stay. Choices in the area are very limited and this is the best. Plenty of restaurants to choose from near by. Parking is not an issue. Breakfast always reliable.

Room reeked of stale cigarette smoke and no fresh rooms were available. The answer was a bottle of Febreze that did no good. Don't stay here! Also employees were sitting out front smoking when we arrived so that tells you something.

The hotel was nice. Staff was friendly. Breakfast staff was very nice a helpful. The only complaint I have is the shower had a lot of mildew in it. A little bleach and an extra 5 minutes of cleaning could correct that. When I went to checkout there was no clerk there so I just left the keys on the desk. I would stay here again.

I was charged $20 to check in my room an hour early. Long travel and need to get dress for wedding. Room didn't have adequate towels. Manager rude and said it was a demand thing. I told her I would report this and she said go ahead we are privately owned.

The GM was very rude and disrespectful. Liked to lie to us on serval occasions. Sped through the parking lot because she wasn't happy with things going on. Front desk employee took 45 mins to get us some towels we asked for. But all of their attitudes changed to help us more once they realized the group we were with took up over half of their hotel rooms. The rooms and hotel it's self were very nicest works very friendly but there was two bad apples and one was the GM.

We came to town for a funeral, so having a nice place to sleep and breakfast in the morning was important. the room was clean, updated, and had everything we needed. Definitely going to stay here again. Best hotel in Lampasas.

Hotel was very clean, bed was comfortable, but not a fan of the small pillows . Nice shower, clean bathroom. Nice pool and outside lounging area. Did not like that the outside smoking area was right outside the front entrance.

Stayed here with my sister to attend a family function nearby. It was a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere hosted by extremely professional and friendly staff willing to assist and accommodate your needs.

My family and I stayed at Best Western plus overnight, on our way to a state park. Our experience was fantastic! The hotel was extremely clean and all the staff were very helpful. We did not have any problems with loud or noisy neighbors, as the entire floor was quiet and peaceful. We were very pleased with the hot breakfast selection, as there were options for everyone. We highly recommend this hotel!!

Nice clean motel, clean sheets/towels/bed/floor. Recommend to stay in future. Did request more towels but assumed the management was conserving resources. Nice location easy to ingress/egress, overall nice place.

We were in town for a wedding. The night of the wedding, when we returned to the hotel, some of our guests were in the lobby sitting on the couches. When we arrived, several got up to help us unload boxes and items from the reception. The night desk manager came out and yelled at our group that we could "not have a party" and told to go to our rooms. It was rude and unprofessional. When we tried explaining what was happening, she wanted nothing to do with it and once again said to "go to our rooms." It felt as if I was a 6 year old being scolded by her mother.

Clean rooms well appointed.. Friendly courteous staff. Check in and out a breeze. On a busy highway so traffic noise but not unreasonable. Good advice on local restaurants. Pool area secure. Nice outdoor seating.

This hotel is awesome and so is the staff. You won't find a better place to stay in the area. Lampasas is a great town to visit with plenty to see and do. I will always recommend this hotel above all others, as the place to stay.

I've stayed and many many hotels in my life and have NEVER been greeted or treated like I was here. The employee when I checked in had the absolute best attitude I've ever experienced. She was amazing. In fact the check-out crew was just as nice. If I'm ever in the area again, I certainly will not hesitate to go back there.

We stayed here for a overnight we arrived bout 11pm and the lady at the desk was very friendly and accommodating, The motel appearance from the outside is very nice and clean. The lobby was clean s well as the halls and our room. Love the shower it is a step in shower not tub. If we are ever in need of a room in Lampass we will definitely be staying here and i highly recommend this Bew Western

This hotel is a great place to stay the staff is very helpful and friendly the rooms are always clean and neat. The Wi-Fi is very good and the TV choices are great. The lobby and food area is always spotless and clean. The breakfast is good and always warm ready to go. We stayed there about 12 nights during deer season.

The hotel was very nice when it opened. Now, it's getting pretty grimy. Our latest stay was disgusting. Black mold was everywhere in our room. You can tell how much the floors weren't cleaned by comparing the grout in the entry way and bathroom to the grout in the front closet. The sheets on our latest visit were torn. Finally, someone had been in our room. When we returned from visiting family for the day, the room was open. This is where we stay when we visit family because there isn't a better option. They proudly hang their "best in Lampasas" banner out front. An award they've won three years running, but when your only competition is an Inn that keeps changing owners every 6 months, and a sleezy motel right next door, it's really not much to brag about. Covid era breakfasts are hit and miss. There's really not much they can do. The pool area is fine. The staff is friendly. We've stayed here many times. Never had a cleanliness issue until our most recent stay. It was bad. I'm giving this a 3 out of 5 stars simply because the latest visit fell SO FAR BELOW what I had familiar with from this location.

We were less impressed than expected having in mind we paid over $100 for the room. Arrival was good - surprisingly nobody at the front desk wore masks (although the covid sign stood right there). It was clean. The bedding was a joke. Just a sheet. There was black mold in the bathroom. Breakfast now includes grab and go according to the sign. A coughing lady distributed bags with sandwiches. She apologized for her cough stating it is not covid. Upon request we got small cinnamon buns and cereal bars.

This is our second of many stays at this hotel. The facilities are wonderful as are the staff- with a special call out to the breakfast hostess ❤️ They actually offer a hot breakfast to go - which is rare in this time of COVID-19! I'm looking forward to our next stay here,

Check in was simple and our room was ready when arrived at 2:00. The entire property was very well maintained and very clean. The location is very convenient. Just down the street are several restaurants and an H.E.B grocery store. The pool area was nice and very pretty at night.

I think reviews are important because it helps one to decide where to stay. Well, let me tell you, this Best Western does not dissappoint. Instead of using covid as an excuse not to serve breakfast, they improvised and provided bagged breakfast (i dont know what it was because i didnt get up in time to get some, slept in late) , but it was nice to know they provided something. Service was nice and friendly., and their location is good, close to restaurants and HEB (grocery store). And i did notice that they have been choosen as #1 hotel 3 years in a row!!! Very well earned.

This place is second to none for the top of the Texas Hill Country in Lampasses. People were awesome. Very informed on the area as to food and entertainment. Rooms were clean and awesome. This was my first visit but definately not my last. I will return again. Highly recommended.

I shall return! Seems brand new, though I learned it is about three years old. Location is convenient and an easy walk to a couple of small Lampasas stores that I visited. Everything was spotless and the staff is friendly and helpful.

This motel/hotel is like brand new however the bedding and pillows are awful so for this reason I will never stay at this hotel again. It's obvious the owner wants to cut corners with the bedding. Sheets are paper thin, pillows were awful. I usually bring my own pillow for this reason and no comforter provided at all.

Most of the front desk staff were amazing! There was one young man that just needed some help with customer service skills. The room was great except for we were at the end of the hall and barely had any strength of wi-fi. It worked in the lobby but not in our room. The front desk young man did not have any solutions that helped. There was an almond and hair tie on the floor that the cleaning crew missed, but they were so friendly in cleaning things up when requested. The breakfast area is very well kept, spacious and fresh! I would not recommend the kolaches however.

Make sure you say hi to suzie, she is amazing! She does the breakfast in the morning. She is so sweet and helpful itll make you sick. I had the best time while in town and the helpful staff made it even better.

After driving late in the night through Texas, we happily found this hotel. The clerk was friendly, and quickly checked us in, even though we didn't have a reservation. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was ready and delicious.

The room was not clean. No bathmat, no tissues, pillows were not clean. Maybe the sheets weren't either. This is supposed to be the best place to stay in Lampasas. Sadly, they have low cleanliness standards.

Very happy with our stay here. Room was clean, service friendly, and the location convenient for our westbound road trip. Only apparent downside (for us) was limited vegetarian options on the hot buffet for breakfast. The omelettes and the breakfast tacos had meat in them. The attendant offered to make us our own eggs, without meat. Though we declined, the flexibility and willingness to serve keeps them at 5*.

First time staying in Lampasas. Hotel was great! I always look for a hot breakfast, good a/c, and a decent hotel gym. This hotel had all 3. Great, staff, and clean rooms spacious rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Check in was friendly & helpful. Room on top floor was clean, large & comfortable. Pool is small but adequate for hotel size. There is a guest laundry which is always helpful when travelling. Not breakfast people so didn't partake. Plenty of parking. Overall this hotel is comfortable, clean & good value with very pleasant staff.

We stayed at this location as we were waiting to close on our new home but, our Son started school prior so we used it as a Stop gap. The location is Good, the Pool is very nice. There are definitely some good dining options I. The area as well. I would stay there again. I will shy away from 106 unless you are an early riser as once they start Breakfast you will hear it all.

Second time we have stayed here. Always encounter happy, helpful staff at check-in. Had already upgraded our room without asking (gold members). Rooms new and very comfortable. Pool was clean and good sized; breakfast was hot and varied with TWO meat choices and staff member always checking on guests and food supplies. Only minor negative was fitness center treadmills do not have individual tvs. ..difficult to hear room tv over machines, but otherwise equipment is adequate. Definitely the place to stay in Lampasas.

Stayed one night on the way to Brownwood. Has a nice little pool in the back with covered cabanas nearby. Perfect for grabbing a pizza from the Hut right in front of the hotel and eating while the kids swim after a day in the car. Clean, nice front desk, and good breakfast. Highly recommend.

Great location, easily accessible to restaurants and other stores in the area. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful with our group. Hotel and rooms were very clean. I will return to this hotel on my next trip to Lampasas.

This is probably the nicest hotel in Lampasas. Seems fairly new, and the staff was very friendly. The pool area was nice, and the rooms were clean. The doors and walls are a bit thin, so quite noisy. Standard breakast selection for economy hotel.

Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend staying here whenever in Lampasas. Very accommodating. The breakfast was great and the attendant was so helpful and friendly and kept things well stocked. The entire staff was friendly, front desk, breakfast and housekeeping all wonderful and had smiles on their faces. Could tell the customer was of utmost importance to them.

We stayed at the BWP Lampasas Inn & Suites for just one night because we were just passing through. Actually, we wanted to continue the next morning as early as possible, but we slept so well and so long that we did not leave the hotel until 9:00 am. We enjoyed our short stay and felt very comfortable. The people were very nice and the hotel is really clean.

This was an excellent facility. It was immaculately clean and the room was very comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff (especially Suzie and Jessie) and nice breakfast. I will definitely stay here again when in the area (we were here to hike at a nearby state park) and will recommend to friends and family.

This is a very nice and clean hotel we had a lot of family members staying here for the wedding of a family member it had a good breakfast buffet and a lady taking care of it kept asking us if we needed anything. The only problem we had was our phones would never connect to the Internet.

My stay at Best Western was great! The staff was amazing. Breakfast was pretty good. I would stay there again! I needed my room early because of a wedding I had to attend and the front desk let me check in early.

Nice hotel. Check-in was fine with the friendly front-desk person. Room was clean and large with 2 queen beds. Everything worked fine. Good Wi-Fi. Nice shower. Decent breakfast. Nice upgrade from the average Best Western. A little expensive, but we'll still strongly consider staying here the next time we're in Lampasas.

On our first trip to Texas to see our first grandchild we stayed at the lampasas Best Western. What a great stay. Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom had a big shower. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc it was decorated nicely and even the air conditioner was quiet which hardly ever happens! The breakfast had it all including eggs and sausage make your own waffles, French toast, the list keeps going. The person filling everything asked if we needed anything else. This was the best hotel stay we have had. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Stayed here on our way further south. The property looks to be in great shape and well taken care of. The evening front desk staff was very friendly. We were on the 3rd floor off the back side of the property. Nice and quiet great nights sleep. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location close to a couple of restaurants. There was a Pizza Hut next store and a chicken place across the street. Free breakfast with the room as well, waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, cereal and fruit. I would stat at this property again.

The front desk lady was pleasant and friendly. The furnishings in the two-queen bedroom was nice. There was NOT a tub mat in the bathroom, so we had to be very careful not to slip inside the tub area while taking a shower. There was two large air conditioning units outside our window of our room.....the noise from those two units ran non-stop all the time we was in our room! Lesson learned, this time, I will not stay in a room like that, again; I would ask to be moved- next time! We, also, had a couple next door to us that decided to come in their room around 6 pm and proceeded to turn their TV on so loud, I had to turn our TV loud enough to hear ours. Finally, at 9 pm they turned off their TV. Another lesson learned, on my part.....I should have asked to be moved to another room! The beds was o.k., the cooling in our room was good, Internet was o.k. & room was clean. The free breakfast was o.k.

Bed was comfortable. Friendly staff, the room was clean and breakfast was good. Lots of choices. I would definitely stay there again. The room was large and very comfortable. The lobby was nice. They had coffee and water.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this great hotel in Lampasas. Rooms were great, quiet, everything was clean, staff was pleasant, breakfast was o.k.. All in all, it was a great place to stay, We will definitely be staying here again.

Good, clean rooms. Mine was pretty big. Nothing super fancy for breakfast or anything, but a good spot nonetheless. They had a grill, but I think you had to bring your own charcoal. Friendly, welcoming staff.

The Best Western in Lampassas provided an excellent stay on the way home. Tony greeted us kindly and was personable as we checked in. The room was comfortable and their was no disturbances. The breakfast was excellent. My wife said it was one of the best she has had at any motel.

Staff so pleasant and efficient. Facility exceptionally clean.The bed was not the most comfortable, but that is objective.Enjoyed our stay. The lady doing breakfast was helpful.Parking entrance a little hard to find if traveling north on 183. 183 is Key Ave. in city limits.

OK on the overall. Bed lousy. Shower only, poorly arranged. Gets water all over the floor. No tub. Small crowded parking lot. Staff friendly and efficient.Convenient location. One elevator causes unusual wait time when place is busy, which it was.Barking dog in lobby and across from our room.

This hotel is excellent, the staff was very attentive and did every thing they could to please us. Check in was fast, room and location as we wanted it as well as extra pillows we asked for. Price is a little higher than most, but location is excellent, breakfast is good, internet worked well, and the beds were comfortable and room quiet. Wish all the units and staff were this exceptional

Very clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent! Room was clean although we did have some problems with the room key not working. We had booked a room for two night but they deactivated the card after one night. Plus had to scan it multiple times to work.

I booked two rooms here for my daughter, grandchildren, and me so II could attend a high school reunion. The grandchildren used the pool and my daughter used the fitness center. This is a new hotel and is very nice. We all enjoyed a great breakfast with a good selection of items. My husband describes me as a clean freak, but cleanliness is the number one important thing I look for in a hotel. This Best Western gets high marks.I thought the hotel was a little pricey but would rather spend the money than go some place that is tired, needs updating, and needs a good cleaning. I recommend the Best Western in Lampasas and would go there again.

I was not disappointed in any portion of my stay. The staff was kind and helpful. I like the open Breakfast area that had a nice view, rather than overlooking a parking lot. Restaurants and gas stations nearby. Also, a city park across the way... convenient for a walk.Beautiful interior with spacious rooms. The pool was nice with an adjoining outdoor seating area and BBQ grill.

Best hotel in the city. It looks brand new but it opened in 2016. Very impressed with the facility. I like the keyboard function (touchpad) so no need to slide the card. Breakfast bar was good but it needed bacon and cranberry juice. Minor issues and I am being picky. Great stay for the price. An hour away from Austin.

Me and my family had to evacuate for Harvey flood in Galveston county in September of 2017. The manager took us in with open arms she and her employees took care of us like we were her own direct family. She helped celebrate my son bday she made sure we didn't want for any thing from diapers and clothes to food every night making sure we were fed and taking care of. I have a big heart but it brought me to tears how these people came together to take care of me and family. I hope god blesses you all 10 times over. You will forever be our angel Crystal. Great home like experience. Love y'all!

Stayed at another hotel for past 6 years and so glad we made the move to the brand new Best Western, rooms are bigger, everything was fresh and up-to-date. Super friendly staff from check in to breakfast!

Booked multiple rooms for family event. As day drew closer, conflicting schedules forced changes. Called hotel to adjust reservations, was met with staffer who refused to take a room off reservation. Hung up, called toll free line, got it fixed immediately. Nice facility.

Nicely done, new, and clean hotel with very friendly, caring staff. Great value, nice, clean, comfortable and roomy guest rooms! After a long day of driving this was a delightful overnight stay. We'll definitely stay here again.

Everything is wonderful at this hotel - except lighting in bathroom - kind of dim...so bring your own make-up mirror :) Very clean & great breakfast included. Friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet in rooms.

The bed was so hard that I slept on the sofa, but the blanket was soft and cozy. The staff was excellent, met me at the front with a smile and a very caring attitude.The room was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was the bed. It was not comfortable at all.

hotel was ok/average. newer hotel but not as clean as you would expect. there was alot of dust/dirt near the floors, especially apparent near the baseboards in the bathroom. room size was spacious. didn't get to try the complimentary breakfast because we checked out early in the morning.

We had a two-day trip planned to Lampasas. This BW was totally booked for the first night we wanted to stay there, so I just booked the second night. For the first night we stayed in the nearby Copperas Cove Best Western, which was HALF the price and a lot more customer-friendly - we WILL be back to Copperas Cove's hotel, and highly recommend it! Anyway... On the morning of the day we were to move over to the Lampasas BW, my husband woke up with a terrible cold. We called to see if we could cancel our reservation because we needed to head straight back home to get him well. We spoke with Jessie at the front desk. She informed us their policy was a 24-hour notice is needed to cancel without a charge. We understand that is their stated policy but also from previous experience with other hotels with similar policies, there is manager's discretion to alter that policy. I can't speak highly enough of the Holiday Inn Express in Gatesville, TX, also not too far from Lampasas, when they gladly canceled our reservation when the softball tournament we were coming for was rained out the first day of our stay. The tournament resumed the next day though, and we happily made another reservation at the hotel. Christian was the young man who canceled our reservation with no problem, even though their policy was also to provide 24 hours notice. In other words, you have MANY OTHER choices of places to stay when visiting Lampasas and I would recommend ANY OF THEM as opposed to THIS Best Western. The Inn at Lampasas is wonderful, and will allow pets at no charge, if you require that. Also, Copperas Cove is only about 20 miles away from Lampasas and their hotel is great! DO NOT STAY AT THIS BEST WESTERN! Customer service is important to customer loyalty. We have family we visit in Lampasas quite often and you can bet we will be staying anywhere but HERE in the future. They have taken the last they will see of our money. Sorry customer service!!!!!!!!!! .

Will definitely stay again. Great location for Hill Country adventures. All the staff was amazing. Very clean rooms. Just overall great place to stay. I love the feel of the smaller hotel and newness of it.

Great 2 night stay. The hotel was clean and pet free which is a plus due to my husband's allergies. The staff was great. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast included a good selection of items. The hostess was friendly and kept the buffet well stocked and the area clean. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

The hotel still has the feel a fresh new feeling after a year in operation. A typical "free" chain breakfast - maybe not as good as some but better than others. Staff was very friendly and had a good customer service attitude. Rooms were still fresh after a year of operation and showed no signs of wear.

My wife and I were impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of the lobby and room. Everything was very well put together and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. However, the mattress in our room was extremely hard which caused some major discomfort and didn't allow us to get very good sleep. We woke up with sore shoulders and hips due to the stiffness of the mattress. We were also "underwhelmed" by the quality of the food at breakfast. For the most part there was a good amount of choices (waffles, yogurts, cereal, sausage, etc.), however the eggs were not fresh (fake) and the coffee was not much better than what you'd find at a gas station. Overall, we'd stay there again if we had to, but just because of the location (close to family) and we'd probably bring a mattress-topper.

Stayed here 2 nights for trip to Colorado Bend State Park for a drawn hunt. Very clean and up to date. Staff was excellent. Parking was very good and well lit. Would definitely consider staying here again.

This hotel is a good value, very clean, friendly staff. This is the only hotel in Lampasas that I will stay at. Unfortunately many people feel the same way so if you are planning a trip to Lampasas book this hotel as soon as possible.

Beautiful, clean, good breakfast, nice pool with cabanas. Probably the best Best Western we have ever stayed at. Everything is brand new. Very nice! You can't go wrong with choosing this hotel. Easy to get to.

This is a very new facility. The staff are quite an asset. Only downside the waterproof mattress cover crinkles when you roll over in bed. Linens bed and plows were very comfortable. Had to ask for additional towels. I don't understand why a king room doesn't get more than 2 towels. Many women require a towel to dry their hair. Breakfast was nice.

Beautifully landscaped, modern amenities, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable beds. We stayed here the night before a short visit to Colorado Bend State Park. Staff was professional and helpful. Highly recommend.

friendly service and clean rooms . breakfast was out at 5:00 am which is good for deer hunters. would recommend this hotel to other hunters. only problem was wanted to stay an additional night and they were sold out ... that was my problem for not booking room before hand

Stopped here with wife. King room was spacious with sitting area as well as desk. Bathroom had large shower. Complimentary breakfast wit eggs, ham,biscuits, gravy , cereals, toast, waffle maker. Everything was clean and new looking.

We just finished a wonderful 2 night stay here. Only a year old, it still smells new. Staff was great, especially the breakfast lady. So attentive to the guests and cleaning up. Quiet and also very convenient. Highly recommend!!

Hotel was new and super clean and service was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The air conditioning was perfect for a hot day in October. The bathrooms were very clean and we enjoyed the large walkin shower with lots of hot water.

The hotel was very nice in the outside and very nice on the inside. I was very pleased with my room, comfort of bed, and cleanliness of the room and hotel in general. The air temperature was just right. The desk clerk was very nice. My receipt was put under my door so I didn't have to check out. I left my glasses in the room after check out and the staff went out of their way to help get those shipped to me. Very satisfied with this location.

The hotel staff was very helpful, accommodating and professional. Property is new, well-maintained and well-managed. I experienced no issues whatsoever. The breakfast buffet was good and the coffee was freshly brewed. I will stay here again when passing through Lampasas.

I arrived in the early evening on a Saturday night. The clerk gave me a wonderful room with a walk-in shower. I inquired about where to eat and he printed off a list of local restaurants with suggestions. My sleep was peaceful. The next morning the breakfast was superb and the kitchen help came out to check the food often. This was a superb place to stay if ever in Lampasas or passing through and need a clean, quiet place to stay.

Clean room and nice people. You accommodated our group of 65 with ease. You found ways to shift with our needs for a quick meeting space and for luggage storage for our check out day. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent facility, especially for the hill country. Seemed overly high-priced compared to other weekends.Bathrooms were very nice. One of the nicest continental breakfasts I've had.Free Wi-Fi was pretty speedy.

I stayed here a week. The hotel is nice. It's less than a year old. The staff is great. They are all friendly and professional. The parking lot is small, so if you're in a big truck and/or towing a trailer, you need to park on the street in front. Also, the internet kept kicking me off ... I don't think it gets good signal on the top floor. I enjoyed my stay though.

My daughter got married and I blocked rooms at this hotel. All the guests from the wedding just went on and on about the quality of this hotel. The entire staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make the stay very comfortable. The guests all had bags in their rooms on their arrivals and I knew nothing about this. I really appreciate all they did for us. This is a top notch run operation. The cleaning staff went above and beyond to help my friends they arrived late and the room was not clean and they were going to late to the wedding and the cleaning staff had the room ready in like 10 minutes. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

One of the new hotels in Lampasas! everything is just around the corner! Pleasant staff and nice accommodations! Would recommend a stay here if you need a place in the area! Golf course and park are right around the corner! HEB and Walmart within easy driving distance!

This is the best hotel for service, friendliness, cleanliness, price and accessibility. The staff will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is outstanding. For business or leisure this Best Western in Lampasas is the place to stay.

The stay at your hotel made the trip very enjoyable.There is noting like checking in into a hotel with a friendly person at th desk.The only small part that bothered me was my card was charged ahead of time.This made me feel as if I was not trusted to meet my obligations.I even called when I was running late.

We stayed here after wussing out camping in the 100 degree heat. All I can say is it was absolute heaven. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He printed out a list of his favorite restaurants in the town. The shower was great and the air conditioning worked fantastic. The hotel is located in a great area right off the main street in town. If we even happen to pass through here again and need a place to stay this will be it.

All aspects that the hotel could control were quite acceptable. We would, however, recommend, that when a party with young people check into two different rooms, they be sequestered away from those who asked for quiet, for the hallway at 3:00 a.m. was anything but. Once the lengthy conversations and numerous "I love you" utterances had been concluded, the noisy ones finally settled in, after of course posting "Do Not Disturb" placards on their doors. Some people's nerve never ceases to amaze me, and, shall we say, they were up with the chickens along with us, as our noise matched theirs from the wee hours before. All this, of course, was beyond the hotel's control and we though it futile to complain, because nothing could be done other than my own retaliation in the morning. The hotel itself is new, bright, and quite comfortable and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and with the exception of noisy neighbors, we would have enjoyed our stay more. We'll give the another try.

Highly Recommend this "Excellent" Hotel. New opened about 10 months ago. Excellent Location! Staff was excellent and went above an beyond! Room was very clean, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot, bed and pillows very comfortable, very clean bathroom, rain show head, water pressure excellent. Breakfast was excellent by Susie. Pool and recreation (Grill Available) area very nice, exercise room had about 3/4 different equipment available. Very safe environment!

Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Hotel is beautiful and clean! Beds and pillows very comfy with quiet rooms! Slept like a baby!!!! And to top it off, Susie makes a killer breakfast!!! The best breakfast at any hotel I have ever eaten at (and I travel for work so I've been to a bunch)!!! Please go visit this brand new hotel, you won't be disappointed!!

The Best Western in Lampasas Texas is a clean and enjoyable hotel. They do go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable. I feel it was a safe environment and would recommend it to one and all.

This is a very new hotel. Staff was nice and the room was clean. We arrived very late and parking lot was well lit. The room was a great size and had a mini fridge. I didn't go down for the free breakfast but my friend did and she said it was good.

Many new chain hotels early challenges with both facilities and services, but this facility appears to have worked out its kinks and is running very well. During our stay, the staff was quite friendly and the facilities are better than we expected. There was a "new hotel" smell, but rather than bothering us, it reminded us that the hotel's construction was relatively recent. We will definitely stay there again when visiting Lampasas.

Brand new built - maybe 1-2 years old. This is easily the nicest BW and hotel around and puts most of the other brands to shame. Plus Lampasas is a way nicer town to do stuff in than the ones within about a 1hr drive. Room, pool,(salt water not chlorine), access, staff all excellent. Good breakfast - get kolaches if they have them. Great rates too. Stay here you wont regret a thing.

My husband and I are staying here for an extended amount of time for his job. Thanks to Crystal and her awesome staff they have made our stay feel like a 2nd home. Our room and entire hotel is always spotless. The complimentary breakfast is delicious everyday. We recommend this hotel 100% !!!!!

I stayed at this hotel during the Spring Ho festival held in Lampasas the 2nd weekend of July every year. I was on the ground floor near an exit and across from the ice machine and workout room. The only time I heard any noise was on Sunday morning when everyone was checking out. Otherwise it was very quite. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff was attentive to our needs. This hotel is new so the rooms are in excellent condition. Will stay there again.

Ok, but the bed stunk?? It was hard to sleep because of that. Otherwise it was ok. I wanted to tell the staff, but they were so good to us that I didn't complain. I just couldn't stand the smell of the bed. It was like old sweat (the best way I can describe).

This is a clean new hotel that has average service and a sub-par breakfast. We had a good nights sleep on a clean bed and if that is a top point for you this is the place. I understand that small towns don't offer much in the way of new/clean hotels and this was a big point with us. It was a little disappointing that the breakfast wasn't a little better... I can get past the powdered eggs with the tiny bits of ham...but not having bacon and or sausage and english muffins and or bagels isn't asking much to include. Not everyone is 10 years old and wants waffles. I will summarize that overall this was a good experience.

After a long drive to look at real estate and a lot of walking on 88 acres in the heat we were glad to check in at the Best Western Plus in Lampasas. They had our room ready and it was emaculate!! Our daughter was ready to hit the pool and so was I! The pool was wonderful! Beautiful decor with 2 waterfalls and crystal clear water. After about 2 hrs of swimming it was time for supper. Lots of places to eat nearby. Came back to the hotel and showered and relaxed in our beautiful comfortable room watching DIRECTV just like at home!! I feel asleep and slept so comfortably. It was a great experience!! The next morning the free breakfast was a smorgasbord of a tempting variety of tastes. Everything we tried was delicious with the exception of the scrambled eggs that tasted like powdered eggs. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a great nights sleep! What a nice way to recover from a long drive!

This is any EXCELLENT place to stay motel is clean and great good location. Staff was very friendly made you feel very comfortable like you were at home. Housekeeping staff for floor 2 was amazing and night clerk was so helpful and they seem to care about you and your comfort

Excellent place to stay in Lampasas with a friendly, accommodating staff. Only negative would be in regard to breakfast. There was no separate meat item such as bacon or sausage offered (scrambled eggs had sausage mixed in every day) and only limited variety of fresh fruit.

Of the 3 hotels in Lampasas, this one is the newest and nicest. Friendly staff, very clean, excellent breakfast buffet, large pool with tables and chairs around it and large well appointed rooms and bathrooms.

Made reservations through Travelocity for 2 rooms/2 nights and gave a credit card number to guarantee my reservation. While in route to the hotel I was alerted by my bank on 4 different amounts being charged to my credit card from Best Western Hotel. I made no fuss about it and figured I would handled once we arrived to the hotel. Upon check-in I mentioned to the front desk & they said they would look into it. When it was time to check out the front desk would not give me a receipt because they claimed I booked through Expedia (actually it was Travelocity) and they were the ones that charged me. I showed them my receipt and manager insisted it was not the hotel. Once I returned home I called my bank and not only were the charges from the hotel but they over charged me. I had to call the hotel and break it down to them in order to get a refund. I understand it's a new hotel but a little more Management training would help. On a different note please have them change the air freshener they use in the rooms. Both of our rooms smelled like Musk Cologne. Not very flattering.

Hotel was new and clean but built to min. standards so was just acceptable. Part of the staff was great rest of not trained well enough. Breakfast was okay, but juice contained did not work so had watered down orange juice.

We needed somewhere to stay the night before competing at the Austin Spartan Race. It was so clean and the staff made sure we knew they would be having healthy options available for Spartan racers for breakfast. The pillows on the bed were too thick for my liking, but I am extremely picky when it comes to pillows. All in all a GREAT stay for that area.

Very new, so nice and clean and in a good location. Hope it stays that way. No complaints. There are 2 restaurants in VERY close walking distance. Convenience store across the street with gas and other stuff

Had pet friendly rooms, very clean and fresh. In walking distance to city park along spring fed river. Will definitely stay again. Only 29 miles to Colorado Bend State Park. Excellent German restaurant on the square.

I stayed one night at this hotel, using it as a base for going to Colorado Bend State Park. The staff were very helpful (including getting me change for park entry fee, getting me a plate and plasticware for warming my take-out dinner when I arrived back late, etc). The room I rented was spotless; bed was very comfortable. I didn't hear any noise from the hallway nor surrounding rooms. Great place to stay.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Lampasas while visiting Colorado Bend State Park. This hotel is THE place to stay - we are already planning a trip back. The staff members are sincerely kind and very thoughtful, always ready to greet you with a smile. The room was immaculate and VERY spacious and has a VERY comfy bed. Shower pressure was great and the water stays nice and hot. Breakfast was fantastic, with a lot of options. We will definitely be coming back!

The rooms were very clean. The staff was helpful, friendly and professional. A hot breakfast was served and was good. The hotel was convenient to the area of town we needed to be in. We had a large family group and they allowed us to use the breakfast area to have a late dinner together bringing in outside delivery food. A/C worked well. No complaints at all!

We stayed here 3 nights. The day we arrived our room was fresh/clean. The next 2 nights nobody had made the bed/changed the sheets, picked up the towels or left fresh ones despite the "Please make up room" sign being on the door. This soured us on the whole experience, which is too bad as the registration desk staff was great, the building new and they did have a nice buffet. We will probably try the other new lodging establishment the next time and hope they can do better.

I am a travel agent with hotel management background. I walked the entire hotel inside and out. It's a brand new property only open 5 months. The bed was comfy. The room was clean. My largest complaint was we had a room with a kitchenette. The sponge in the kitchen was used. I suggested to the manager they replace the sponges with each new guest for sanitary reasons. I was impressed to find a restroom inside the fence with the swimming pool. For a small town the hotel had a wonderful large boardroom! I highly recommend staying here should you be in the area. I too would return.

It is by far the best place to stay in Lampasas, I will stay again when visiting friends while there. Interesting places to view from this area. The weather was great. The staff was very polite and nice. had a good time.

We were tolt thatthere were no motels in Lampasas. Imagine our surprise to find a Best Western Plus.An oasis in the middle of nowhere. Had a place to park our trailer and outstanding staff. Will stay here again.

Hotel was similar to other BW Plus where we've stayed in the last year. Nice Hotel, friendly staff, typical breakfast. Central location, etc. However, the bed linens especially pillow cases felt low quality and scratchy. I thought that I was just over critical... Until my spouse made an unsolicited comment about the pillow and top sheet being scratchy. If they want to meet "plus" expectations for the newest and most expensive hotel in the area, then this should be addressed.

Room spacious and clean, location was perfect for us. Staff friendly and helpful in every way. Quiet location. Would like to see a larger coffee maker in the room; but with everything else being near perfect we could let that slide...

Newest Hotel in Lampasas & the Best Hotel!!!!!! However there is No Hot Tub in Lampasas at all......... not even in rooms.... great décor breakfast is good too.. Coffee needs to be stronger!! other than that Great Hotel!

Myself and several friends were on a motorcycle trip in the area of your hotel and decided to make an unscheduled stop for the night. Your entire staff, from the girl that checked us in to the girl that checked us out were a pleasure to deal with. I will stop there again on any travels that brings me to your area. Your facility was clean, neat, and well kept. You can be proud of you entire staff.

Stayed in this place one night. Really loved it, except the WiFi did not work. If you go there bring your own ethernet cable until they work the bugs out. Otherwise my stay there was PERFECT! The pool area is beautiful. The free breakfast is great, including sausage, scrambled eggs, and great orange juice.
