    « First time stay »

First time stay, very impressed with the location. Decor of both lobby and rooms was very nice. Very quiet. Restaurant was a lovely addition, and we enjoyed the fact that there was breakfast seven days a week

    « Very nice! »

We stayed for the Thanksgiving weekend and found the room very clean and comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. The lobby was comfortable and welcoming and plenty of room. The pool was nice as well. We would for sure stay here again!

    « Annual Thanksgiving Trip »

Once again we had a wonderful stay at this perfectly located hotel. The rooms are very nice, the pool and hot tub are a draw for the young adults in our group. A light breakfast is included. The staff are always very friendly. We always enjoy the Kitchen Kettle Village a short walk from the hotel. Glad they have been opening on Thanksgiving the last few years. It's only for a few hours assuring workers can go home to their Thanksgiving dinners.

    « very nice setting »

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and attractive. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only negative i can find was the restaurant manager. We were staying with a wedding group and we were having breakfast. The grooms parents came down to join us. the mgr wound not accommodate adding a small table for two people so they had to sit alone. Plus he really needs to smile a little.

    « Total surprise! Location and comfort-A+ »

It has been a few years since our last visit to this hotel. When we arrived, we didn't even recognize where we were. Totally renovated! Walking from the main parking area is the detached building with swimming pool and hot tub. Stunning! Entering the spacious lobby, the first thing you notice is the warm fireplace and seating areas. Friendly, efficient check-in. We requested a quiet room on a top floor and that's exactly what we were given. Two queen beds, attractive decor. The bed was a little firm for myself but my husband had no complaint. Housekeeping is meticulous. Great breakfast is provided at the attached Old Mille Restaurant. Can't forget to mention location, walking distance to Kitchen Kettle Village and tons of shopping, buggies and food. My husband I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it for any age traveler!

« Great hotel within walking distance to the Kitchen Kettle Shops and a short drive to all Lancaster sights and resta »

This is the second time we stayed at this Best Western hotel and it will not be our last. We stayed with a large group both times and check in was quick and efficient. The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. We ate breakfast in the restaurant both mornings we stayed and it was very good. There is a pool in a separate building that we did not use because of heavy schedule but would if we did not go with a group. There is a nice area outside the pool to sit and relax and since the weather was nice the end of October, we did that in between sightseeing and shopping. I would highly recommend this hote.

    « Great Experience »

I had a really good experience. The staff was great. They were helpful & friendly. The rooms were spacious & seemed to have been updated recently. If you're interested in exploring this part of the county, it's a great place to stay.

    « Great hotel »

Very nice family hotel. Convenient restaurant with a country feel. We have stayed here twice with 2 adults and 3 children. Perfect layout for a family of 5. The staff is always extremely helpful and professional. This is always our first choice when we are in the area.

    5
    « Fantastic »

This hotel has it all friendly staff, very clean, good location and a restaurant that is attached to hotel with good food. We loved our stay , a last minute decision to go to the Lancaster area , and we certainly booked at the right place. We don't use the pool but it is a nice big one. We enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace in the lobby too.

    « Aweful »

Caters for tour buses. Staff slow, hotel dated. Food service poor and food itself terrible. Kitchen staff always hanging out side smoking. Situated right off the high street but really, don't Waite your money if you can stay else where.

    « A Mid Week Spa Getaway »

We stayed in a king room suite. The room was extremely large and had plenty of room to stretch out. It was also great having the spa located in the same building. It was located in a great area so you had the peace of the country but within walking distance to all the little shops. The gym is supplied with updated and well maintained equipment.

« Great place to stay »

This hotel is conveniently located to so many places by walking distance in Amish Country. Lots of neat shops and places to eat so close by. Our room was beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond.

    « Excellent »

This was an excellent hotel. Check-in was great, hotel room was very clean and nicely decorated, loved the deluxe oversize room. Room service was great, restaurant breakfast was good. Over all experience was fabulous!

    4
    « Great Place »

This is in a great location to all Lancaster has to offer. The rooms are clean and comfortable. After being out all day, it was nice to return to our hotel. The included breakfast is good however, I would prefer a buffet. You have a choice of two liquids. Since I don't drink juice, my only choice was coffee so I couldn't pick another item. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel.

    5
« Best Area in Lancaster »

Intercourse Village Inn is located in a perfect area. Everything you need is close by and the hotel is the area's best. Clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant is excellent and make sure to bring your bathing suit the pool is wonderful.

    5
« Lovely Place to stay »

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had the room by the restaurant and were afraid that we'd hear noise from the restaurant when it was open. We didn't hear a thing. The area around the hotel is clean and neat as well. The town is full of things to do and the town of Lancaster is just a short drive away with more places to visit. I'd definitely go back for another stay here.

    « Stay in Lancaster »

We always stay here as their people are excellent. The property is convenient to our usual excursions and the restaurant is also very good. If you are looking to view the local Amish farmlands and surrounds, this is very convenient to that

« Great Hotel, Great Location »

We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night for a quick weekend getaway. Pros: The location of the hotel is easy to find and very close to attractions, including walking distance to Kitchen Kettle Village shopping. Parking is free and ample, check in process was smooth, and the lobby was charming. We stayed in a king jacuzzi room. The room was very clean, spacious, and we did not hear any noise from other guests. Loved the extra sink outside of the bathroom. Cons: For a Best Western the hotel is on the more expensive end of the price scale, but we also booked last minute and this might have affected the rate. Not what I would call a value or deal, but you are getting what you pay for. To reach the swimming pool you have to walk outside of the hotel and cross the parking lot. Not an issue in the summer, but I did see some very cold kids on Saturday night! The complimentary breakfast is served in a restaurant attached to the hotel. The restaurant is very popular. We were unable to take advantage of this amenity as the line was 25-30 minutes at about quarter to nine on Sunday morning. As the breakfast offered is a 'continental breakfast' it would seem more convenient and accessible to be offered in the lobby or a separate breakout room, so hotel guests would not have to wait for a table/server etc. Overall a beautiful hotel in an beautiful location.

    « Great Hotel »

Wonderful hotel with nice rooms and comfy beds. Wish there were more handicapped parking spaces, but that's just a suggestion. The staff is friendly and Ryan even offered to bring my car to the door when we were checking out. It was a very sweet gesture and one that I really appreciated.

    5
    « Girls get away !!!!! »

The Inn was very clean and customer service was excellent !!! Couldn't ask for better. The Spa is so relaxing and inviting with professional staff. The complementary breakfast was good as well. Many choices to choose from. Highly recommend this Best Western! We can't wait to return next year!!!!

« Best WEstern Plus Intercouse Village Inn and Suites »

Stayed for a beautiful October weekend. The location is very convenient to Kitchen Kettle Village. It was an easy walk. The room was large, clean and a quiet location. It was convenient having a small fridge. The bed was extremely comfortable. The service was excellent. Would stay again.

    « " Getaway after Voting " »

This is a charming motel in the village of Intercourse,Pa. The lobby has a warm welcoming fireplace and a comfortable sitting area to sip your latte and chat with friends. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It has its own restaurant on site and a swimming pool and fitness center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. And you can walk to Kichen Kettle Village and the other nearby shops but suggest you go by vehicle so you can stow your purchases! And watch for the Amish in their horse and buggy as they go about their business.

    5
« Great Place to stay »

This Inn was fantastic, rooms were just what we expected and the customer service was the best I can remember from all of the places we stayed over the years. The greatest part was everything was close by and the restaurant next door was terrific-best food in town!!

    5
    « Very Enjoyable Stay »

This motel has very firm beds, but if you request it, they will put a pillow-soft topper on the mattress for you. We stayed there once before and didn't sleep well because of the hard mattress. This time, with the pillow topper, we had no problems! The management here aims to please, and please us they did this trip! Their staff was exceptional and friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast in their restaurant which was very good and extremely reasonable. We will definitely be back to stay here.

« It was a wonderful retreat for peace and quiet. »

My husband and I recently lost our youngest son and have been busy trying to carry on. This was a much needed time to rest and grieve. The trees all along the ride were in beautiful fall colors, and the town is very quaint with quilting shops and locally produced jarred goods. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant food was good.

It was a delightful hotel in a beautiful location convenient to all tourist destinations it was really nice highly recommend it, The breakfast discount was great. The bed was luxurious, The shower was awesome, was, disappointed that their was no bath in such a nice room. Pool was wonderful and the exercise facilities were adequate.

    5
« Excellent place to stay »

This hotel is close to many of the Lancaster PA things to do like Rockvale outlets, Sight and Sound Theater, and American Music Theater. Very friendly staff makes the stay more enjoyable. Clean large suites are quite comfortable. I wish we had stayed longer. Good restaurant adjoining is location for breakfast. The hotel provides a coupon. Get there a bit early because it gets crowded after 9 am. In spite of the near capacity for the night, it was quiet in the room.

    5
    « A good choice. »

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. Very pleasant welcome on arrival, well equipped quiet room, good on-site restaurant, short stroll into town centre, reasonably priced. As UK visitors it's unlikely we'd ever be back, but if that were to happen we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in this vicinity.

    5
    « Weekend stay »

Our go to place to stay. Hotel is updated and very nice. The rooms are very large and the beds are super comfy. Area is one of our favorites. We stay here all the time The included breakfast is good but you need to allot a lot of time. They get filled up quickly and get backed up.

    5
« Wonderful Place to Stay »

The staff were all very helpful , pleasant, and offered excellent service. Eager to assist & please. We were traveling with my 89 yr old mother & they worked out things to meet our handicap room needs. Always very clean. There's a nice pool / hot tub. The area is kept warm & well stocked with clean towels. Thank you for a lovely time !

    « 3 Not a Crowd »

Overall everything was very nice. Beds were comfortable and everything was kept clean. Staff was friendly and able to take care of our needs. It was a great place to stay to be able to have large families or in our case 3 single woman share one room, but still able to have our own queen sized beds and not have to actually pay for two separate rooms.

    5
« excellent stay ..but i miss the Amish buggy that was in front. »

Clean rooms and courteous staff make all the difference in whether you are going to enjoy the visit or not. My stay was excellent and enjoyable. The peace and quite atmosphere in this charming little village is great for those of us wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of big cities. To rest and to recuperate. ... I do miss the Amish Buggy that was in front and the old fashioned look that the hotel used to have. I first visited the old hotel about ten years ago , and stayed there at least five times. ...Great memories !

    5
    « Amazing »

« Relaxation in the amish Country »

We got about half off the room by visiting during the week and the crowds are far less. The hotel is almost across the street from the shopping center and in the heart of the quilting area as well as a few miles from the Amish market. The hotel sports a spa as well as a VERY good restaurant much better than most hotel eateries. Breakfast is included at the restaurant and it was filling and tasty.

    5
    « Nice stay »

This is a terrific location and I love you can sit outside. Rooms are fine, but not as good as the other BW Plus hotel I have stayed in on this trip. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant is convenient and I came back to the hotel just for the coffee cake. Excellent !!!

    5

    « Never Disappointed »

This was the fourth year that we have stayed here and we are never disappointed. Well maintained property. Very clean rooms and and an attentive staff. We stayed in a suite which had a very large living room with a sofabed. You get a breakfast voucher for each day of your stay which you use in a sit down restaurant connected to the hotel. The food quality is very good. Good central location to most area attractions. We will be booking our next stay at this hotel soon.

    5
    « Awesome room »

Wonderful location, walking distance to local shopping, beautiful spacious suite, very comfortable, very kind and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant, food was delicious. Will definitely stay there again.

    « Nice Fall Getaway »

My husband and I came back to this great hotel for a fall getaway. This is one of our favorite places to stay in Lancaster. You can walk to Intercourse Village, which is wonderful. The restaurant attached to the hotel has great food. You get discount coupons for the restaurant when you stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed. Wonderful lobby area with multiple fireplaces and free coffee.

  • 5
« Best Location in the Area »

I visit Lancaster at least once each fall and always choose this Best Western. Within walking distance to the most popular attractions in the area (Cafes, shops, pretzel makers, Amish goods, etc.) With a car you are minutes away from the outlets, restaurant chains, department stores, etc) The Inn is cozy with several sitting areas with fire places, coffee and specialty drinks. Breakfast in the restaurant is included as are donuts, danish & coffee/tea in the lobby. Employees are great and always pleasant and helpful. All types of rooms at various prices. I save my credit card points all year and cash them in for BW gift cards which pays for most of my stay.

    5
« My favorite Lancaster retreat! »

I have been coming to this property for quite a few years and have never had a bad experience. The Thomas family has a great work ethic and runs an efficient, clean property with lots of hospitality for all! Even when the building was in the midst of its renovation a few years ago, with all of the construction and confusion, the staff went out of their way to make sure their guests had a pleasant experience. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

    5
« Stayed for our honeymoon »

Beautiful hotel! Decorated for fall, warm, inviting, and the fireplaces are a beautiful touch in the lobby. Staff is very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay top notch. We had a king suite and it was a really nice layout. Not too big on having the Jacuzzi tub right next to the bed, but the shower in the bathroom was huge and nicely done. We also had a ground floor room with patio and that was a really nice touch. There is a privacy wall between the patios so you aren't looking at your neighbors. The only negative we found was the room seemed quite dark even with the lamps (which are really neat) on. Some recessed lighting in the sitting area and bedroom would help. The lamps just didn't seem to give out enough light. Would say open the curtains on the sliding glass door to the patio except about 50 feet outside of our room was a house and their windows did look towards our side of the building. This hotel really is amazing and would recommend it to anyone! Restaurant was very nice, rustic look like the hotel. Simple but very good food, and you get to keep the coffee pot on the table! We didn't use the "free" continental breakfast coupons they gave us as we were hungrier than that, but with the 30% off a la carte both of us got a lot for only $13.

« The BEST Best Western ever.... »

When I stay at Best Western, I usually downgrade my expectations a bit. It's really a mid-range budgetish (is that a word?) chain. This one was impressive and exceeded my expectations. We were upgraded to a suite that included a large living room, a bathroom/kitchenette (well, a microwave and fridge in a hallway between the bedroom and living room that included a long counter and sink). It was simple - not a lot of furnishings but super clean, cozy and well-kept. Our room had a connecting door to the next room and the people next door apparently only had outside voices, but that's to be expected when you don't have insulation between that space. It wasn't too bad. The outside of the hotel was so clean - no spider webs or leaves left piled up. I figured out why the next day when I saw an older Amish gentleman meticulously cleaning all the large light fixtures and sucking up the leaves. There's "clean" and then there's "Amish clean". I've never seen such a well-maintained property. The housekeeping and desk staff were all so friendly. We hardly walked by anyone without being greeted. The location is perfect - just a short walk to town. If you listen in the early morning (or late on Sunday night about 10:30pm), you can hear the clip clop of the horses pulling Amish buggies past the property. You get a free breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. The free version is pretty basic - choose eggs and a roll/muffin/toast plus two drinks of your choice. But, you can also choose from their regular menu and get a 30% off discount. I hardly believed all the 5 star ratings when I booked this property for our 4 night stay in Lancaster County, but after staying there, I totally believe them. This is truly the best Best Western ever.

    4
    « Great Location »

We stayed at BW Plus during the week in Oct. We had a King suite which was very spacious on the third floor. This room only had a shower - no tub. Beds are ok for comfort but not the best sleep and pillows were hard. The biggest negative was breakfast. (There is a restaurant on site.) You get a voucher for free breakfast. You are allowed to pick TWO items from a list of eggs, toast, oatmeal, muffins, etc. but no meat whatsoever and no yogurt. You may also have two beverages from a list of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, etc. If you choose not to use the voucher you may get 30% off of the regular breakfast menu. We ate supper at the restaurant the first evening we got in. My husband got the turkey dinner and it was those round slices from a pressed turkey roast that is a combination of dark and white - one of the worst things ever contrived by man!!! This property is in a good location in Amish country, walking distance to Kitchen Kettle Village and other shopping and close to all of the other areas within driving distance. Doubtful I would stay here again, though not saying never.

    « Fantastic Stay! »

We chose the Lancaster area for a cousins weekend and stayed at The Best Western Plus Intercourse Viiage Inn and Spa and were extremely happy with this decision. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and well equipped with refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Plus coffee & tea were always available in the lobby. Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. RYAN and DARCI went out of their way to make our weekend a success, I can't thank them enough for their help. Everyone was very friendly and genuinely invested in making our gathering the best, when asked about specific tours the staff found coupons. The complimentary breakfast at the on site restaurant was delicious and filling. The coffee cake was fresh, the muffins warmed and moist. Our waitress, ROSE was fantastic! Friendly and attentive she always seemed to have perfect timing with extra coffee and anticipated the accompaniments to our breakfast choices. Rose could be "a cousin from another mother"! All in all, a fantastic hotel, super, super staff and ten very happy customers. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Have stayed here twice. Each visit was a pleasure. Well appointed rooms were clean and beds sooo comfortable. « 3 night stay at Best Western in Intercourse, Pa. »

This hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and it was very comfortable-home away from home. They have a nice work out room, and a large pool and hot tub that was very clean and it's indoors if your are there in the cold weather. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. It's also very close to all the shops so you can walk to everything in Intercourse. We definitely recommend the coffee shop in town-excellent coffee and great atmosphere. There is also a nice restaurant attached to the hotel which served a very nice free breakfast.

Excellent property. Enjoyed our time at the facility. Friendly and accommodating staff. We felt very welcomed and appreciated. Would not hesitate to make reservations at this property again. Would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit this great area.

    « Excellent experience »

Although this may not be the most important aspect of your assessment of a hotel, the staff at the front desk was exceptional. They were very friendly and extremely helpful, and really stood out. Thanks. The hotel itself was top notch, and location was great - right in the heart of Intercourse. The rooms were clean and modern. The A/C worked well and quietly. The restaurant, while non-alcoholic and not fancy, was very good. (I had the pot roast for dinner.) As everywhere in the hotel the restaurant staff was competent and friendly. Overall, an excellent stay.

« Comfortable and great location »

Best location in Intercourse just a short stroll to all the shops. Comfort and facilities are well above normal motel standard. The restaurant is a long way from fine dining but adequate, especially for families. Be early for breakfast - there can be a long wait for a table.

    « Excellent Choice »

We stayed for two nights - very attractive, very good amenities, lovely lobby with two fireplaces and areas to sit in front of them. The restaurant that was attached was very good - both service and food. Breakfasts were included and could be off the menu at a 30% discount or free with a more limited menu. Either one offered an excellent breakfast with some local foods offered. Room had extra outlets and extra usb ports for charging.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western a lot. It is centrally located to everything in the town. The breakfast at the hotel really can not be beat. It was very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. We will go back.

« Love the barn look! »

They gave us a free upgrade to a suite. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the fireplace in the lobby. Our room was quiet and clean. The beds and pillows were comfy. The free breakfast was a limited menu from their restaurant or you could get a percentage off the regular menu. The food was good. They also gave us a discount sheet with local stores.

    « Great Stay!! »

Our room was extremely clean. Everything was just so nice. Room smelled fresh and clean. The staff was courteous on the phone as well as in person. This is the nicest place that we have stayed in while visiting PA Dutch Country in which we have been going to for the last 25 years. We will definitely be back.

« Right in the Middle of Needlework Heaven »

Staying at this hotel gives you access to many sources of quilting/needlework material. The rooms are fantastic and the in-house restaurant is so good you do not need to walk or drive elsewhere. The management, however, needs to add more staff to the dinner hour. Waitresses were nearly running to get from the tables back to the kitchen. They were greatly overworked.

« Great hotel and great location »

We have stayed in the Lancaster area many times and feel that this is the best hotel around. The hotel grounds and lobby are tastefully decorated as are the rooms. I don't know if all rooms are like this but ours had a very large bathroom and a separate sink area outside the bathroom so two people could get ready at the same time. The room was extremely quiet and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel is also in a very good location. You can walk to a number of Amish shops and restaurants. One of the best things about the hotel though is the pool area. While we were there the weather wasn't very good so we spent some time in the pool. The pool is large, heated and very, very clean. They also have a hot tub next to the pool. We couldn't get over how clean the pool area was, it was spotless! Overall this hotel impressed us in all ways. We highly recommend this hotel for couples and families a like.

« Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Small Town »

We appreciated the fact that the hotel was designed and built to fit in with overall look of the small town of Intercourse. It was fairly new. The lobby had a comfortable look and feel. The staff at the desk were helpful. We stayed in a suite and it was very nice to have the extra living-room area.

    « Great Amish Stay »

BW Plus Intercourse is in an excellent location right near the main shopping village (Kettle Village) which is walking distance from the hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds, very clean & we have stayed many times on our trips to stock up on Amish cheese and its consistently excellent value. Rooms also have small little balcony. Restaurant onsite usually has a line for breakfast but it holds a lot of people so our wait was usually under 30 mins at peak time. Food is pretty good & better than some of the other more well known restaurants. A negative is that it closes quite early in the evening (as do most of them in the area) so you need to factor that in if doing evening swimming with the kids. Pool is good but no jacuzzi. Wifi is good & they offer hot chocolate, coffee & tea all day/night in the lobby which is really nice. I absolutely recommend it & it's definitely much nicer than a typical BW (and I'm a picky travel agent pretty familiar with what to look for in a good hotel!).

    « Wonderful Experience »

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village and Suites on our way home from a trip to New England. This was a return trip for us as we stayed there in 1999 before they remodeled. We were impressed with the new additions and would highly recommend it. The location is perfect as it is in walking distance to many shops and other places of interest. When Olde Mill Restaurant is a very good choice and very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Wonderful Hotel »

One of the best and cleanness hotel I have stayed in. Beautiful decorated as well. Our room was very comfortable and again very Clean! The free breakfast was very good also. Loved the pool & spa area and again very clean. This is the hotel that I will always come back to when I'm visiting Intercourse PA. The only one thing I wish is that they would be pet friendly. I hated having to leave my little shichon baby at home!

    « Happy customer »

I've stayed at this hotel several times and have never been disappointed. It's a little pricey, but the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well kept. Everyone is friendly and I love the atmosphere. The spa and Old Mill Restaurant are nice to have there. I love using the spa and the food is great and not too expensive at the restaurant. The pool and hot tub are in a separate building across from the entrance, but always clean with lots of seating and towels around.

we stayed 1 night after attending a wedding in the area. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We are considering it for weekend get away to relax. Did not have time to use the pool but did check it out and it was very nice. The restaurant food was good and filling and staff friendly and pleasant.

    « Great Inn & Suites! »

This Inn & Suites is a perfect staging place to visit the Amish area. The Inn is great, clean, roomy, quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Haven't used many of their amenities. My wife and I stay at this Inn every time we visit the Amish country, which is usually every two years. The restaurant food is very good and the staff does a wonderful job with the food. I highly recommend this Inn to everyone, but just remember to save us a room there.

    « Birthday Weekend »

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was in a really nice location. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Only negative was the restaurant that was attached to the hotel, seated for 20 minutes without even being greeted. The restaurant was not busy and was staffed appropriately. Didn't get to enjoy the pool or hot tub, next visit.

« Beautiful hotel in a peace location »

Hotel was lovely . We had booked a suite which was enormous for the two of us. A living area, bedroom and a small kitchen type area. Huge shower, all immaculate. Also laundry facilities which were free to use...provide your own detergent or purchase at desk. Reception and restaurant staff most helpful and pleasant. This hotel does not sell alcohol even in the restaurant. We didn't know but it is ok to bring your own alcohol in. The surrounding area is beautiful just to drive around. No need to pay for a tour unless you really want to. My only reason for not giving this a 5 is that our room (256) was quite near the road and traffic noise kept me awake. Would still recommend . Just ask for a room further from the main road.

    « Excellent facility »

A clean, quality facility in which the staff is oriented towards customer service at all times. Nice pool and spa area as well as nice fitness room. Restaurant is fine and on the premises. Rooms are clean and appealing. Bathroom and sink set up is a little annoying, but may appeal to some. Close to popular attractions and shopping. This was my second stay this year and I will stay here next year as well.

    « Very nice hotel. »

We (Wife, Son and Myself) stayed here this past Saturday. The hotel is very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly upon check-in. Breakfast is included at the restaurant on premises and it was very good with a number of hot choices. We really enjoyed the freshly baked coffee cake. The location of the hotel is great with quite a few attractions within walking distance including Kitchen Kettle Village. My only complaint is that our room was right next to the elevator which was quite loud. Had I known, I would have requested a different room. If you are next to it, ask to be moved as it will keep you up at night.

    « Relax »

Great location, great hotel, wonderful staff!Located in the heart of Intercourse PA in walking distance of fun ships, novel work working stand antique stores and of course fabulous food! The sound of horse and buggy blanket the town and we encourage you try go for a fun ride and sample Amish hospitality.

    « Basic poor standards »

Although a short walk off the high street of Intercourse, heart of Amish country, this hotel seems to caters for overnight bus loads of parties. Staff are polite but move at their pace only. No bar, terrible food too - at breakfast the restaurant is full at 7.30 am and kept waiting a good 30 mins. Food served on plastic plates and cold. A huge shame as the town is a huge tourist pull.

« Nice hotel in quaint location »

My husband and I stayed one night on the way home from a week long trip and really enjoyed our stay. We used points to pay for our room, and oh what a room! We had a separate sitting room with a sofa (pull out too, I believe) coffee table and flat screen TV, where we relaxed and watched the movie, Witness, very appropriate in this very Amish town. We had a beautiful marble bar with sink, along with a fridge and micro, separate bathroom and then the actual bedroom with another flat screen TV and two queen beds. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We didn't have time to use it, but the fitness room was large and had a number of treadmills and elliptical machines, well equipped for workouts. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel restaurant, for which we had been given vouchers. It was a bit crowded due to a wedding party's presence, but the food was good and the decor was rustic and in sync with the history of the area and the mill that had resided in that very space. We plan to come back to the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village and Suites another time to really explore this quaint Amish town. We did check out some of the local shops with furniture, garden art, quilts and delicious treats, and were delighted to witness a gaggle of young Amish children, flying down the road on colorful scooters accompanied by a boy in a open cart pulled by a pony on their way into town, I will forever remember that image and the feelings of joy and happiness in the moment expressed by those young people!

« The hotel was very comfortable and close to everything in the area. We would recommend this hotel. »

« Lovely hotel in a lovely location »

What a lovely hotel in a peaceful location, though conveniently located to many attractions and restaurants. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and found it a bit difficult to find a nice dinner, as many restaurants are closed on Sundays. However this is about 10 minutes away from the Route 30 outlets area with many restaurants and shopping. Our room was very nice - sink outside the bathroom. My favorite unexpected feature was a small patio outside the room with decent privacy. I could hear lots of horse and buggys passing by. We loved the pool area - though it is in an adjoining building, it has a covered walkway and changing rooms, so we didn't have drip all the way across the hotel - very, very clean pool and hot tub with great windows and atmosphere! And we loved the breakfast at the hotel resturant. Amazing food and amazing prices, big portions. You can either have a discount on the meal or two free options on the limited menu. Within walking distance of Kitchen Kettle Village, but we found that to be a tourist trap and pretty crowded. Overall, we will return to enjoy the quiet area!

« Great Hotel in Amish Country »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Intercourse in August and found the hotel to be a quaint, quiet, and clean hotel to stay at. The rooms were nice sized and the hotel looks like it has been recently renovated. The hotel staff were all a joy to deal with and were very accommodating. Check in was fast and easy. The hotel is close to all the things one goes to the Lancaster area to enjoy. My wife and I will definitely stay here again and we would recommend the hotel highly.

« Very Nice Hotel, Clean Rooms, Pleasant Stay »

We traveled through the countryside to Intercourse. What a lovely area. Unique blending of culture. Service at the hotel was great. The room, beds, lobby great. Somewhat disappointed with breakfast included feature. Minimal choices - when in area would be nice to include some of the specials for this Amish area. Our service was slow.

« Best location, spacious rooms, excellent customer service »

My family and I have been going to this hotel every year for at more than 25 years. It has grown from a small hotel into a beautiful resort. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. Each room we have been in since the expansion about 4 years ago has had a sitting area with a sofa bed, a TV in both the sitting room and the bedroom. This year we had a room with 3 queen size beds, so no one had to use the sofa bed. The free breakfast is more than adequate, with eggs, danish, toast, cereal, fruit, etc. as choices. And the pool and hot tub are the best for relaxing after a day of shopping and site seeing. We will be returning again next year, and hope for many years to come. Thanks Kurt for keeping the 'small hotel feel' while becoming a resort destination. Your staff is always friendly and helpful.

    « Perfect Hotel »

We were here for a family wedding so we had several family members staying in the hotel with us. The hotel itself so very accommodating to our needs. The people at the front desk were so very kind and nice. I even had to have a pair of shoes delivered to the hotel and they were kind enough to hold them for me until I got there. After the wedding we went to the pool area to hang out with our family so we did not disturb other guests. It was just a perfect ending to a perfect stay. The rooms were extremely clean and I liked that the sink was outside the bathroom area so I could get ready while my husband was showering. The restaurant had a delicious selection of breakfast items and the homemade coffee cake was to die for.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It might have been because of the days (Sunday and Monday) but the hotel was very quiet. « Great Hotel in Amish Country (Stayed Here for Bird In Hand Half Marathon down the road) »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn and Suites this September (2016). We were running the Bird In Hand Half Marathon which was just a few miles down the street and this was a perfect location to stay. The hotel was charming and fit the local perfectly as it was shaped like a barn with barn door accents in the interior hallways between rooms. The employees could not have been more helpful or friendly. We had a suite with 1 Queen bed in 1 room and 2 Queen Beds and a Couch in the other and TV's in both rooms. There was a great little bathroom hallway connecting the rooms and right outside the bathroom giving ample counterspace for everyone and included a mini fridge and microwave. The only thing missing was a safe in the room (as a New Yorker I always like to have a safe in case I want to leave any valuables in the room). The hotel has a pool and hot tub in a building next to the main one. We had breakfast at the Olde Mill Restaurant attached to the hotel and it was great! Huge portions of home made coffee cake started us off and again the staff was so friendly. We received 30% off breakfast since we were guests of the hotel. The only downside was I found the bed to be too soft and the pillows were awful. Would definitely stay here again. Plus since I'm a bit juvenile, the souvenirs with the town name on them we bought at the hotel make me giggle.

    « I would stay here again »

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. The first was for business, and the second time was for pleasure. It is convenient to many activities and stores and restaurants in the area. The rooms are comfortable and clean and attractive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The indoor pool and hot tub area is well-kept and in an attractive building. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting in this area.

« We stay here every year »

We have lost count as to how many years we have enjoyed this Best Western. At least 10. It is usually a group of 5 of us for a girls' weekend and we come every fall. The fact that we can walk to Kitchen Kettle Village and 2 quilt shops is important to us. We can go back to our room at any time and relax. The updated inn is beautiful. The breakfast that is included is freshly cooked, unlike other inns with a free breakfast that is like a buffet. The choices are great and have never wanted to order off the menu. We also have eaten dinner here and have never been disappointed. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, the pool beautiful. Obviously, we will be back next year.

    5
    « Charming and clean »

We were only going to stay for one night originally so we were given a room with a king size bed. After we went to dinner and before we had been to the room we decided to stay an additional night. Since that room would not be available the next night we asked to be moved to a room with 2 Queen beds which was available both nights. They have an adjoining restaurant and they give you 10% off dinner. They also give you 30% off breakfast or a free Continental Breakfast. It is a very nice hotel.

« Little annoyances made it an "Just OK" stay. »

Pros: Location, neat decor, well run, so many nationalities stay here. . Cons: Tight parking- lot is not as spacious as other Best Westerns so its not comfortable to temporarily park outside the front entrance to unload luggage etc. Cons: Free breakfast not really free. For a free breakfast you have to choose from a limited menu in the attached restaurant, so you are having breakfast with other hotel patrons in a Diner setting, but also presumably people from the local area who want to eat there. So even if you comply with the limited menu, the gratuity is not included so there is pressure to leave your server a tip. Other hotels offering free breakfasts are self serve and tipping is a either optional or not even asked for. Cons: Pool is across the driveway so even though it is a very nice indoor pool, you must walk outside to access the pool. This is fine in nicer weather, but if you choose to use the pool in inclement weather, you will have to walk about 50 feet outside to get to the pool. I was not satisfied overall for the price we paid.

    « Family weekend »

This is our "go-to" hotel whenever we stay in the Lancaster area. The room is clean and comfortable, the service is outstanding, and the food at the Olde Mill restaurant is superb. We especially want to commend Emily at the front desk, who always makes us feel welcome and is willing to do anything to make our stay special. Also, Rose, a server at the Olde Mill restaurant, is awesome; she is friendly, and her service is top-notch! In fact, we asked to be seated at her station when we ate there. Overall, we love staying at this hotel, and we will most certainly be back.

    « Wedding weekend stay »

Stayed at this hotel to attend a wedding at a venue 5 minutes away. We had a large group staying and the hotel made a good effort to place us in rooms near each other. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel is obviously newly decorated and appropriately themed for the area. The free breakfast was convenient and delicious. Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Great stay!

« Excellent Place to Stay »

This hotel is within walking distance of shopping and excellent restaurants. You can park your car and stay for a while to enjoy the spa, pool, restaurant on site and the outdoor seating area to read the newspaper or a good book. The front desk personnel is kind and very helpful. Always in a good mood for a few minute chat. Rooms are clean and the pool is nice when it's not too overly crowded. Been here at least 3 different times and plan to return again.

« Wonderful staff, very good location »

Stayed two nights and enjoyed the hotel. Unfortunately the first night we were booked in a room on the second floor right on route 772. While the road is relatively quiet during the day, trucks use it at high speed during the night and we were awakened several times during the night. The staff was very accommodating and moved us first thing in the morning. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Best of all is breakfast in their own restaurant, the Olde Mill. I have stayed at many different hotels in the Lancaster area but the Best Western Intercourse Village Inn is now my favorite and I just booked it again for Thanksgiving weekend.

« Great place to relax after a day of sightseeting. Centrally located and wonderful accommodations! »

Wonderful hotel! Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to assist in any needs. Hotel is beautiful, well cared for, and very comfortable! Wish the indoor pool was better ventilated. Too strong of a chlorine smell for us but very nice and well cared for. The design of the hotel is the perfect combination of country charm and today's esthetics. The beds are very comfortable. Shower works great! Could use a nightlight in the bathroom. Completely "feather-free" bedding which is wonderful for anyone with allergies. A lot of the rooms have a balcony which is great. Not much of a view but quiet and peaceful. And the breakfast was delicious along with the free coffee/tea and donuts in the morning at reception. Centrally located with great access to the region. Thanks to the entire staff for making this a very pleasant stay! Had a wonderful time and we will definitely stay here again!

The staff was very friendly and courteous. We were only going to stay one night and when we checked into our room ,we decided to stay two extra days. « Really great stay »

From the moment we got there till the time we checked out, our experience was exceptional. The staff was warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The building is very attractive (look at photos online), the spa (yes, I had a massage...delightful) was so relaxing. Coffee is available around the clock and the large inviting lobby has 5 comfortable seating areas. We were upgraded, at no additional cost, to a 1 bedroom suite. The bedroom had 2 queen beds and, while not a large space, did not feel cramped. The living area was surprisingly large with a sleeper sofa, an armchair and desk with a comfortable desk chair and even an extra closet. In between the bedroom and living room was another space (outside of a nice sized bathroom). This space had a long counter, sink, microwave, small refrigerator and 2 mirrors. Best of all, it had 2 doors leading to the bedroom or living room that could be closed at night so noise in one room didn't interfere with someone in the other. My only gripe with the premises is the attached full restaurant. The waiting staff was excellent, but the food was mediocre at best. Overall, we loved our stay and would not stay anywhere else next time.

« Fabulous Place To Stay!!! »

So glad we found this awesome hotel to stay at! We had been looking for suites that would accommodate our family. I had searched many times for hotels with suites in Lancaster and this hotel never came up. I had wanted something affordable but bigger than a standard one bedroom suite. A 2 bedroom suite was more than we needed and cost more than we wanted to spend. This hotel has a 2 room 3 queen suite. one room has a queen bed and a pullout sofa and then there is a little hallway with a counter top sink mini fridge etc. and a bathroom that connects to another bedroom with 2 queens and our room also had an awesome balcony! the bedroom (with 2 queen beds) fit a pack n play provided by the hotel, we took the extra chair out of that room and put in the main room to fit the pack n play without it intruding on the room at all. One complaint is that the pack n play did not have a fitted sheet , the hotel gave us a big queen size flat sheet to tuck under it- I would have much preferred a fitted sheet for the safety of my baby. The hotel is situated in the middle of amish country and is beautiful. the pool was really nice and one morning we even were able to have a family swim :-). nice workout room with cooler, nice lobby and nice looking spa, I tried 3 times to get a manicure but it seems like you have to book way in advance and when i thought maybe id book in advance they said if i needed to cancel i had to pay for the service in full. All in all it was a great experience!!!!

Room was clean and front desk was helpful. Perfectly located among all the shops. The Old Mill Restaurant is great and reasonably priced. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool. It was in a beautiful barn style building.

    « Wonderful stay »

We did a lot of research before deciding to stay at the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn & Suites. We are pleased that we chose it. This hotel is located in a relatively quiet residential area but just a few minutes walking distance from many of the Intercourse attractions. Being in a more quiet area we were able to enjoy watching the Amish horse and buggies ride past. Everyone from reservations to the front desk to housekeeping personnel to restaurant staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would like to give special thanks to Kristin at the front desk (and I hope that i have her name right) for all of her special assistance. She provided us with great suggestions as to places to visit that we would not have otherwise thought about. One is the Roots Country Market which I had never heard of and which I will review separately. She would make an excellent concierge. We did quite a of traveling throughout the area and found that we were centrally located to all of the towns that we visited. Our room was comfortable, apparently recently renovated and very clean. My wife was particularly pleased with the comfort of the bed. I have read complaints about the breakfasts at the Olde Mill Restaurant. In my opinion they are unfounded; I will also review this restaurant separately. When we return to Pennsylvania Dutch country we will make sure to return to this fine facility.

« Lovely hotel but slow service in restaurant for complimentary breakfast »

Lovely hotel -- newly renovated. Nice to be able to stay in Bird-in-Hand and then head over to Dutch Wonderland which is only 15 minutes away. Only issue (and reason I'm not awarding 5 stars) was the breakfast. I thought it nice that they serve the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant and seat you at a table with waitress service. However, once seated our family of 4 waited more than 30 minutes for the complimentary breakfast to be served to us. We had ordered simple items -- bagel, scrambled eggs, cereal. Felt like as soon as waitress saw that we weren't ordering anything off the menu, we received poor service. Not a good way to treat hotel guests as it made us not want to return to pay for a lunch or dinner there.

« Comfy Room midst the Amish »

It was a great room. Clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly and available throughout most of the day and night. It felt like a home away from home. If you haven't seen the stars in awhile this is the perfect place.

This is a great hotel. It was super clean, spacious, and newly renovated. The hotel was walking distance to many shops! We were more than happy with everything during our stay. This was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

    « A Lovely Hotel »

Aside from this being a beautiful hotel, the highlight is the service; especially the staff at the front desk (and I mean the entire staff)! They were all extremely professional and very willing to help in any way. The rooms are nicely furnished. The complimentary breakfast was good, but offering buffet style would be better. I highly recommend this establishment. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

This hotel is beautiful and well run. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the free breakfast was plenty for us! We even tried the "traditional Amish wedding plate" For supper one night! It's centrally located and within walking distance to so much!

« This is such a great hotel! »

We have stayed two times now at this hotel while visiting the Lancaster area. My family of 6 stayed in a suite. The suite is very spacious, it consists of a pull out sofa and queen bed in one room separated by a large bathroom and hallway. Then the other room has 2 queen beds. The room is very clean and looks new. The staff were very pleasant during check in and housekeeping is also great! We have yet to use the indoor pool, but it looks nice! The best part is it comes with breakfast in their restaurant. All of the food is yummy, but my family especially loves the coffee cake! You can order off the regular menu for more money, but honestly the choices they give you with the complimentary breakfast are plentiful....we were definitely satisfied! My family loves this hotel and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, family friendly hotel.

« A place to return to again and again! »

Amazing rooms, hosts, food! I can't say enough about this property. Extravagant! They didn't short cut on anything. They offer a great selection of coffees all the time, with basic coffee and cream complementary. The rooms are all very spacious...you think you just rented a luxury apartment. The restaurant food is great. Hotel guests receive complementary breakfast choices, or 30% off menu items. And you get a 10% discount at the restaurant for another meal. The Coffee Cake is to write home about. Don't neglect it.

« Terrific place to stay! »

I go to the area once or twice a month for business and always stay at best Western plus. The staff was helpful, the rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds are very comfortable. I haven't had a bad experience in all the times I have stayed.

    « Quilt hop trip »

We decided to stay here during our quilt material shop hop. We were pleasantly surprised had how beautiful and accommodating this hotel was. From the well designed rooms to the Amish barn atmosphere, this hotel offered each of us in our group a different way to unwind. A few of us enjoyed the balcony overlooking the farm field and the rest of us went swimming in their spacious indoor pool. The food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Will be booking here again

« Amazing Hotel and Beautiful Ambiance »

The Hotel was Immaculate. We got up each morning and enjoyed the beautiful morning sun on our balcony. The Hotel Staff was amazing and very attentive. They were very helpful with advising us of tours and places to eat etc. Mill Restaurant in the hotel was delicious. They don't tell you but the Amish and Mennonites comes in often and have meals which was amazing. You felt as if you were part of the town. The pool was very clean. I've been here 3 times already and wont stay anywhere else in Lancaster besides BW.

« Family trip to Lancaster area »

We were surprised to see a hotel like this at or near Lancaster. It was great for us family of six with 4 young children. The place is new and for some reason hasn't come up in searches for a Lancaster hotel. Great suite type location sofa sleeper in living room then bathroom then bedroom with 2 queen beds. Hotel has a restaurant, which includes breakfast with stay. Nice sized indoor pool with big whirlpool. There is half court basketball. Only 5-10 drive from outlets and Dutch wonderland. Apparently there are antique and village shopping in walking distance. Great stay, may come back if in the area.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

I am a fellow Best Western employee and came here for a vacation. The rooms were huge and clean. The whole place was spotless and beautiful. Fireplace in lobby was gorgeous. And the on site restaurant was amazing. The complimentary breakfast meant you get to choose 2 things off a list, OR you could get 30% off normal menu. I got the normal menu. The breakfast there was the best food I had in Lancaster (yeah, seriously). Only complaint: I am assuming this is because I was a Best Western employee but it still annoyed me. When I checked in I got no information. Not where the pool was or where the breakfast/restaurant was. Only my keys and elevator location. And when I heard them later on checking people in I heard the whole spiel. So I was jipped :( But other then that small thing it was great! Seriously that coffeecake changed my life <3

« Family trip to Hershey and Lancaster »

What a great place to stay. There are five in our family... two adults and three kids ages 11, 8, and 6. This is what makes it challenging to find hotel rooms because there is that one extra bed you need. Our room had two queens in one side with the common sink and coffee machine, fridge, and microwave with separate door to bathroom separating the front ante room/office which had a sofa bed (queen) that my oldest enjoyed by herself. Front lobby was very comfortable and all of the staff were excellent. The free breakfast was in their adjoining three centuries old mill and the service was quick and friendly. Food was pretty good... a free continental breakfast hardly disappoints but not quite to the level of foodie types. Put stay was brief but we were comfortable. Wish we had more time to try out the amenities likes the spa, huge pool and exercise equipment. Love these new Best Western Plus motels... perfect for this family on a budget but still wanting to keep prices in check.

I found it very cozy and the staff very friendly.. My only problem was the bed was very uncomfortable for me.. I came home with an aching back.. toooo firm mattress. Next time I will hit the pool and Hot Tub.

We had a block of 20+ rooms for our vintage car tour. As expected, we found everything to our complete satisfaction. Rooms were extremely comfortable, hotel staff courteous & accommodating. Our contact, "Darcy", made sure everything was ready & waiting for us. She is AWSOME! We would certainly recommend this hotel to any group or individual(s) needing accommodations while traveling in this part of Pa.

« A very comfortable place to stay. »

The room was very nice with a small patio on the back side( of course it was too hot to use it in August) We enjoyed the outside area by the pool where is spent most of the evening visiting. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open on Sunday evening, but we enjoyed a very nice breakfast there. The location would have been great if we had been there long enough to visit some of the shops etc.

    « Wonderful Stay!! »

This is an wonderful hotel! The staff was very helpful and check-in/check-out went very smoothly. Housekeeping staff left a personal note in our room wishing us a nice vacation and the room was extremely clean. The complimentary breakfast menu has a nice variety and I personally recommend the Blueberry Muffins.

« Lacking in value and amenities »

Wasn't the best BW for value. I stayed at other BW and wasn't charged for some things that they added on in There added Breakfast, Charged for items. Most BW have nice choices at the buffett here they had restaurant and only gave you 2 choices and had to pay for other normal extras

« Great stay once again! »

We stayed here 3 yrs. ago when they were undergoing major renovations. Unfortunately, we were originally booked into one of the un-renovated rooms, and quickly realized that it wouldn't be big enough for our party. The only room they had available was a triple bed suite. We decided to take it, even though it was more than we planned on spending. Well, let me tell you, we enjoyed the luxury of that room so much, that we booked the same room for this trip! We were not disappointed, and the property is beautifully maintained. Unfortunately, the hot tub wasn't very hot on the evening that I decided to use it. The front desk let me know that they were having problems with heating it, but they were working on it. It never did get any hotter, but I can overlook that for the overall atmosphere and hospitality of the staff at this BW. Just wish I could have stayed another day or two. Next time we're in Lancaster, we'll be staying here again!

« Always stay here when in the area »

This is our second year staying at this location and love the location and area. Had a few issues this time but all issues were resolved 110% when brought to the attention of the staff. Like it that the owners are on site and readily available. The restaurant is having a few critical staffing issues but those are being addressed. The property is very clean and kept in good shape. It is a quiet area and can experience the amish culture by dining on the patio and seeing the buggies going by which my children enjoy. Would recommend this location to anyone looking for a good quality location for the money.

« Great Great Great Hotel »

Our Stay was just wonderful. From the time we entered and was welcomed by Kristin and then went to our great room. Stephanie, from housekeeping, had the room in excellent order when we arrived. The location is just super with great restaurants, shopping and theatre plus great activities for the little ones. We try and stay at this hotel at least twice a year. This is always our first stop before returning home from Florida in the spring. Keep up the good work!

    « Perfect »

We travelled with 4 children, and the suite was absolutely perfect! Everything was roomy and clean. The location is fabulous. We were definitely "the English" in the picture , as the facility is equipped with every modernity, but still in the heart of Amish country. The staff was courteous, the amenities were great. Two big rooms with a kitchenette in between. We could not ask for more. This hotel is an amazing value. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lancaster county.

« Overnight Stop on Way Home »

We stopped here for a night on our way back home after a long drive from Maine to rest and tour the area. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. While the hotel itself is not a "four" star in terms of amenities or grandeur, it is way beyond a typical Best Western...hence the reason it's called Plus. They do have a pool and spa and an onsite restaurant as well, but more importantly, the location can't be beat. Very nice, new, clean rooms in the heart of Amish country. Nice staff too.

« Great hotel -- clean, friendly staff, great location »

    « Absolutely Wonderful!!! »

I can't say enough how wonderful our stay was. The room and the entire property were spotless. The room is spacious and the décor is very nice. The pool facility was terrific and the lobby has very nice sitting areas. Best of all, the staff was friendly, helpful and really fun to talk to. Our whole family loved our stay. The setting is perfect. Walking distance to many nice shops. This is truly a top notch facility and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay. Thank you to the whole staff for making our vacation so memorable!!

My wife and I have traveled all over, including international all inclusive resorts, and this is by far our favorite place to stay. The hotel and grounds were spotless, people working at all levels went above and beyond to be helpful and polite. The restaurant was always good and the wait times were always less than quoted. Can't say enough good things!

« Clean, quiet, and convenient location »

The rooms are very large (especially the king jacuzzi room, which is huge. It was very quiet during our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Having a microwave and mini-fridge was really nice. The swimming pool is good sized. On a weekday afternoon, we had it to ourselves (after check-in time, it got busy). More suggestion than complaint: Having a large room was nice, but we would have been able to make better use of it if there was a table suitable for eating or playing a game. When a few other family members joined us in our room, there wasn't much place to sit or to eat a casual lunch together. I think as a family destination, it would benefit from a small playground area. Maybe one of those nice Amish-built playgrounds they sell in the area.

    « Enjoyable! »

The room was huge! I loved the layout of the 2 room suite with the bedroom in the back of the room. The AC worked amazingly although it was quite loud in the bedroom while running. The free breakfast they give you is pretty good. Although one morning the restaurant was pretty unorganized. We waited 10-15 minutes just to be seated. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is great. You can walk to Kitchen Kettle Village, corner coffee shop and other shops. If in the area again, will definitely stay here.

Room was fantastic. Clean and spacious. We were upgraded to a 2 rooom suite and felt fantastic with all that room. The complimentary breakfast in the morning however could have been much better. « Worst experience ever »

We booked the room through Expedia and reserved a 2 room suite. When we arrived we saw the room we were given was a handicap accessible room. The shower was therefore a handicap shower. We have had rooms like this before BUT this shower was HORRIBLE! The showers head was placed in the middle and sprayed directly into the shower curtain which then forced a full stream of water onto the bathroom floor. I went to the front desk whose solution was to give us about 20 towels to lay out on the floor to sip it up. Needless to say after 3 out of 4 people showered we had used all of the towels. The water flowed out of the bathroom and into the room area. When they brought more towels I asked if they were aware of the problem and the gentleman said they have heard some complaints. This has got to be some sort of health code violation. Not sure what the other rooms are like here, but if we were scheduled for more than one night I would demand a refund and find another hotel. ANYTHING would be better then this. I still don't know what we will do if someone has to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The floor has 2 inches of water on it and the hallway carpet is soaked. Best Western should be ashamed of themselves. If this is the best they have to offer a handicapped person then shame on them!! It is bad enough anyone has to deal with this.

What a beautiful hotel in a nice little town in Amish Country. The suite we had was beautiful and well appointed. There is a separate building with a swimming pool. There is also a spa on site for relaxing. We enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant with great service and good food. The restaurant was closed on Sundays which meant getting back in the car and trying to find a place to eat.

    « SAVED OUR VACATION !!!! »

Planned a mini vacation to Lancaster. Wanted to have the B&B experience. Mistake ! big mistake. We arrived at B&B Thursday afternoon and had to leave Friday morning. First time at a Best Western and will not be the last. Called the hotel and spoke to the awesome Madilyn. (hope I'm spelling her name correctly) Told her about our experience, she sprung into action and saved our vacation. She and the other folks at this location are some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to know. The entire staff were incredibly informative. Any question you had there was no hesitation, they knew the answer. They really made sure you had everything you needed and were comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and just a great location. The Old Mill Restaurant located in the hotel has the best burgers and coffee. The pool house is open til 11pm very clean the hot tub is a definite plus for relaxation. Unfortunately we arrived too late to book appointment with spa. They fill up quickly. Handicap parking very close to door. Stayed in king room, a/c worked very well and loved the extra vanity sink. I can't say enough about this hotel and the staff. Just a wonderful place to stay.

Hands down a great hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Queen suite was a good size with 2 queen beds plus a sofa bed. Pool area with hot tub is decent size and located in an adjacent building with nice patio area outside. On site restaurant is good and convenient. You receive a coupon for the restaurant at check in that gets you either free continental breakfast items or 30% off other menu items. Hotel is walking distance to many shops and Kitchen Kettle Village.

    « Wonderful stay! »

Lovely hotel with indoor pool and whirlpool and spa. We stayed in the Two- Room King Suite with Jacuzzi and Patio. Beautiful room! The hotel is very conveniently located and has many shops and eateries nearby. They do have a restaurant attached to the hotel. We ate 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts there. Meals were reasonably priced and very good, except for the Amish Wedding Meal. The breakfast included with our stay consisted of 2 options from a limited menu, but all the choices were delicious, and 2 beverages or you could get 30% off anything else on the breakfast menu. Service was fast for breakfast. One night the service was excellent. The second night it took over 45 minutes to get our dinner.

The free breakfast was a disaster on both days. LONG LONG wait to be seated..long wait to be served and very little to offer on the voucher menu, bagel and scrambled egg or muffin.. HAD TO PAY XTRA FOR A SLICE OF CHEESE! ..go somewhere else for brakfast please.

Clean updated accommodations, great complimentary breakfast at their restaurant. Double suites are great for large families with walk out patios or balconies. Fireplace in lobby is a nice touch in the cold months. Plenty of parking.

    « Comfortable family room »

Touring Lancaster with family who lives in Virginia so it was a 3.5 hours drive out. We were booked into a family room with 2 Queen-sized beds. The rooms are clean & comfortable and had a microwave and small bar fridge. Bathroom is separated into walk-in bathtub shower and toilet while the sink and dresser is at the entrance to the room which works out well when you are a family sharing the facilities. Rooms come with complimentary breakfast with a list of items you can choose (the country style breads are good toasted!). Ala carte items are good value too and my son absolutely loved the bacon and cheese omelette. Free WiFi but connection is best in the lobby.

    « smaller than expected »

nice location, walking distance to many shops. clean, friendly service, but the fold out bed blocked the door when in use, had to leave room through patio door, not happy with that. we choose the three queen and sofa bed, two bedroom and it was smaller than I expected, my debit card was charged for the room even though we paid cash when we checked in, I contacted them and a refund was posted the day after I called

    « Three day getaway »

We go to Lancaster at least once or twice a year, staying at the Eden resorts, however we had to make these plans on the spur of the moment and they were booked, but boy did we find a jewel in Amish country, we enjoyed our stay so much that we will probably go back, much more the experience of staying in the country, great food, plenty of shopping within walking distance. just a great all around stay.

« Wonderful staff and accomodations »

We had a great 4 night stay for our 30th anniversary. First time traveling to this part of the country. We came in a day early was welcomed with friendly staff. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Even though we could not obtain the same room that was already reserved we were accomodated very nicely. The hot tub, pool, exercise room and resturant were all clean and maintained. Just a short walk to local attractions in the area was a big plus!! Never felt uncomfortable and no safety issues in the area. We would definetly recommend and will return again!

My husband and I came here for an anniversary getaway. Upon check in, with no request by us, we were given a complimentary upgrade from a queen room to a king suite. What a treat! The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

« Another great, relaxing stay. »

If you want to fell like you are really on a vacation then book your room here. Everything is top rated and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Exterior is very neat and clean and you are within walking distance from so many great little shops. Thank again for a great stay.

    « Your average hotel »

Given the paucity of better options, this best western is a decent option in the Amish country area. The rooms were on the smaller side but neat. Bathrooms are tiny. Only paper cups, no water. Beds are good but the pillows are a disaster. Air conditioning is a bit wacky. Noisy and doesn't quite seem to be in sync with the wall controller. They have a point hat remains open late which is great given the rest of the town closes at around 6. The breakfast situation is tough. No buffet and an overcrowded restaurant with moody servers. Your experience will largely depend on who you get.

« Cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in! »

Very nice place! Wonderful staff, very friendly - very helpful. I stay in this Hotel every time I visit the area. It is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Spotless. Quiet. Friendly. Homey. And clean. Super clean. Did I mention that already?

    « Excellent Choice »

My wife and I were very happy and pleased with our stay. The hotel was actually just as nice as the pictures on website. The remodel was very beautifully done. The room was very spacious. Everything was neat and very clean from room to hallway and lobby. Restaurant food was great. The front desk personnel was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely will come back again.

    « Second Visit »

On this our second visit, we experienced some changes and some not for the better but the entire staff from Kimberly in house keeping to Frank, the restaurant manager and to Ryan, the assistant general manager, all listened to us and were very helpful and responsive to our concerns and needs. We thank all of them for making this vacation a great stay instead of a poor experience. This hotel has much to offer all visitors, location, friendly staff and a new multi million dollar renovation. This is a wonderful hotel. Check it out!!!

    « Great Stay »

Super staff, nice pool, restaurant was good. We had a great suite. However, unfortunately the room was not as sound proof as we would have liked, in the mornings we could easily hear conversations being carried on in adjacent room. This would not prevent us from coming back.

« quaint hotel, step back in time »

This hotel is located in the heart of the Amish country in PA. Close to everything in town, walking distance. It was a wonderful stay. Wish we had stayed here longer, but had to get home. The room had a patio in back with a bench. We sat outside and watched the amish horse and buggies going up and down the street. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

    5
    « Very nice »

The staff was so friendly, especially Emily, so nice to have a restaurant that was just down the hall. Can walk to Kitchen Kettle and many other Amish stores. Especially Duckie Donuts at the Smucker Village. We would definitely stay again.

    « Awesome hotel!!! »

Great staff. Pool extremely nice. Delicious food at the restaurant. Spacious rooms. Extremely satisfied customers. We had 2 family suites and they comfortably fit 6-8 people, 1 king suite, and 1 king room. They were FIRST class!!! Awesome!

    « Excellent Stay »

From the moment we entered, we were welcomed into the hotel. The front desk personnel quickly checked us in. We mentioned that we were going to head back out for dinner. Within minutes, the person helping us gave the name of several nearby restaurants, checked on whether they were still seating for dinner, and printed directions. The recommended restaurant was wonderful. As far as our room, it was a two room suite with a long countertop with sink area outside of the bathroom and another setup inside the bathroom. The room was immaculate. The pool is in a separate building that is just a short path from the lobby. The pool area has a very high ceiling which kept pool air from feeling too heavy. We really enjoyed our stay and have already booked a return trip.

« The food was just okay »

We tried the Village Inn restaurant after realizing our first choice restaurant was closed. My husband and I had the turkey dinner. The food was barely warm. They do have great corn fritters! I would try something else.

    4
    « Okay but not a "Plus" »

The room was very small, but clean. I think it was a bit overpriced for the size and decor. It could use a little updating. The mattresses were on the very firm side....we prefer softer. The staff was very friendly.

    « Family Wedding »

great hotel! Wish it had a bar however. Nice room and the rooms were big. We requested adjoining rooms and the hotel accommodated us. My little niece really enjoyed the pool. My other niece slipped in the shower however, so they should really have bath mats in all the showers because they're really slippery.

« Another super weekend visit to Amish country. »

This is the second time a group of my friends, my wife and I spent at this motel. It again reaffirmed our feeling that this is truly a treat. The setting is great and the room, staff, food, and offered amenities are unbelieveable. The entire three days that we spent here was enjoyed, even though we had very heavy rain one of the days, we were able to enjoy the local annual auction, a buggy ride through the countryside, a train ride as well as eating at a few rustic inns/restaurants. Although the staff is not Amish they did seem to treat us like family and helped to make our stay that more enjoyable. We will again return next year, same time, same place.

« Favorite place to stay in Lancaster County »

We come to this area frequently for business and pleasure. This is our favorite place to stay. It was recently renovated with up to date linens. The rooms are very clean, the staff very friendly, the lobby is like being in your own living room visiting with friends! It is within walking distance of various types of shops. The breakfast in their restaurant is excellent - try the baked oatmeal-- it is delicious. The grounds are well maintained as well as the pool and hot tub area.

    « Great Stay »

Just got home from our vacation. The whole experience was wonderful. Hotel was clean and staff was so friendly. The pool as well as hot tub was very clean and maintained. The restaurant was pretty good. It was busy all times we were there. Everyone seemed to be working very hard to keep things moving. Erin was our server twice and we found her to be exceptional. We will be back for sure.

    « Lovely hotel »

Very clean, has restaurant inside, very nice employees, especially Emily. Good breakfast that is included. Lobby is nicely layed out and so comfy. You can walk to many stores, especially to Dutchie Donuts that are to die for, so delicious . Close to Kitchen Kettle and many other Amish stores.

« Very nice hotel for the price »

It was clean, workers were courteous, pool was nice, staff was friendly. Only recommendation would be to make the breakfast buffet style since the complimentary portions were smaller. However, the quality of the food was above normal.

    « Great Hotel »

We recently stayed here. Hotel was very well taken care of and employees were friendly. You can clearly see it was recently renovated with great decorative touches. We definitely will stAy here again. We had a HUGE King Suite that worked great for our family. Our only issue was the floors ( although didn't look dirty ) were filthy. Our sons knees and feet would be black from crawling on it. I thought maybe it was from somewhere else, but we cleaned him up and let him loose again only to be covered in black again in 5 min. The restaurant is very slow unless you get the best waitress there, Fannie. She's amazing!

    « Family Vacation »

We had a wonderful stay here. I highly recommend this hotel. It was clean and we had plenty of room. The staff was very kind and helpful. Each time when we asked for dinner suggestions they offered great places to check out. It was really nice. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

    « Excellent Stay »

My husband and I just stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is nice and updated. Room was clean. Breakfast in restaurant was very good. Close and convenient to what we were looking to do. There was a wedding party that caused a pretty loud disturbance coming back to the hotel late at night and staff seemed very apologetic about it. Good stay overall.

Clean, modern (recently updated) hotel in a great location. Room was very nice, wifi worked great, staff was very friendly, and the attached restaurant had a nice breakfast. we stayed 2 nights in mid May for a quick get away and were very happy with our choice. When we return to the area, we will definitely stay again!!

    « Beautiful Best Western »

Amazing Best Western. It compares to a much higher level hotel on appearances alone. They also are connected to a nice little restaurant. My daughter enjoyed the pool which is larger than others as it is housed in it's own separate building. We only wish there was a continental breakfast to help us get in and our with our two year old a little faster as taking her to eat in the morning was a bit rough on us and other guests! Otherwise we had a wonderful time.

    « Excellent! »

    « Wedding Trip »

Lovely, clean, spacious room. Staff accommodated our request for an early check in due to an afternoon wedding down the street. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The young men in the wedding party appreciated the basketball court!

    « Very pleased. »

Clean spacious rooms, beautiful area. Pool was very nice and stocked with plenty of towels. Property had nice outdoor sitting and recreation areas. We could walk it's few blocks to get to some tourist attractions. 15 minute drive to Dutch Wonderland. Staff was excellent. Restraint attached had delicious food. We had great service at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast the second day however, was crowded and had a long wait. Overall, I would recommend to any family looking for a getaway.

    « Great stay! »

Stayed here for a 1 night. Stayed in a king room with whirlpool tub in lower level. The room was very spacious, it had a living area with a flat screen tv and a separate area for the bed/shower/whirlpool/vanity also with a flat screen tv. The room was clean, bed & pillows were comfortable, our room had glass door that opened to a small patio which was nice. Front desk was very friendly. Check in and out was easy. There is a restaurant on site we had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. If you are eating breakfast at the restaurant though, be willing to wait..it gets very busy, our waitress seemed a little frazzled, forgot our drinks, gave us the wrong item...but my husband and I are very forgiving and didn't make a big deal out of it. I would recommend that if you are having breakfast at the restaurant that you call in your order and just pick it up and eat in the room I believe they allow you to do that. Other than that the dining experience was good. We only stayed 1 night so we didn't use the pool. We did hear some noises from outside/upstairs, certainly nothing that would keep us awake. Overall we had a great experience, would recommend it to a friend.

    « Nice hotel »

This hotel is very nice ... however, the bed SUCKED. Got very little sleep and when I complained while checking out, the girl laughed and said "You can't please everybody all the time". I thought that was rather rude and she didn't even offer me any money off my $200+ bill.

« Perfect, except for the bed, breakfast and carpets »

This is a great place if you are not a princess who can feel every pea. It is clean, except the carpets were a little musty. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The franchise needs to invest in cleaning the carpets more often and in updating the bedding. Otherwise, it is a great place for families and couples. Free breakfast could be a little more generous by offering more than 2 food breakfast items. Choose the coffee cake, not the fruit. An Amish lady makes it fresh every day and it arrives fresh and warm to your table. You'll thank me. It seems like the problems are with the franchise and owner trying to save money. Kettle Kitchen and a number of quaint stores are walking distance from the hotel. On Newport Road, Ken's Gardens has high-quality plants and decor for the garden. Again, the whole staff is exceptional.

    « ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! »

This was our first time staying at this Best Western Plus & it was an AWESOME experience. We were in the area for a wedding at the nearby wedding venue, Stoltzfus Homestead & Gardens. The rooms are huge. They offered about anything & everything you ever would need there. The room we had was somewhat sectioned off in 3 sections which was really neat & different. VERY clean, comfortable, beautiful & VERY friendly folks. The layout of the whole building, inside & out was beautiful. The attached restaurant, Old Mill Restaurant was just as amazing. Outstanding food & friendliness as well. And that was super convenient too, to only take a stroll down the hall to go eat. I wish every hotel offered that. We will definitely go back again.

    « Beautiful hotel! »

Loved this hotel. As pretty as the picture shows. We had a street side room first night and were asked to be moved as we are not accustomed to road noise. We were moved with an upgrade included in our room to accomodate us for the restless first night. Staff, Madeline in particular, are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Would stay there time and time again! Continental breakfast is from a selection from the onsite restaurant, not a frozen egg heated in the microwave.

« Beautiful Hotel with Nice Accommodations »

This is a beautiful hotel to stay at. My wife and I had our wedding at the nearby wedding venue, and we and many of our family and friends stayed at this hotel the night of the wedding, as well as the night before. I rated the staying experience as five stars because the hotel is very clean, overall the staff is friendly, the rooms are nice, and there are accommodations on site, such as a restaurant, indoor pool, and a spa. Our wedding guests thought very highly of the hotel as well. The only negative experience that we had was when we were trying to hold rooms for our wedding guests, it was turned into a big hassle because they do not do "room holds" at this location, even with an up-and-coming wedding venue nearby. Wedding guests will be utilizing this hotel a lot, so I would recommend a change in that policy to accommodate weddings. We were basically told that "our business is not needed since they would sell most of the rooms anyway." Other than that policy, this hotel is a great destination.

    « Poor Customer Service »

I stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend and did not have a good experience. The hotel itself was nice and clean but I was not given the room type I was promised. When I made the staff aware, they were not very helpful. When I asked for a manager I was told there was no manager onsite until Monday. When I first checked in, I had a manicure(gel) and pedicure which was a part of my massage package at their spa. By Monday, my manicure was already chipping and I paid $140. Not good. When I went to their onsite restaurant for breakfast, I had a hair in my eggs after waiting a long time for my food. Not good. I was supposed to stay in the hotel from 05/28/16-06/01/16 but checked out on Monday 05/29/16 and went to the Amishview Inn and Suites where I had a great experience. I will never stay at this Best Western Hotel again because of the poor customer service.

« Need to work on some things »

Reservation problems(reservations were made a year in advance). Some food was cold when served at breakfast. Complimentary menu needs to be expanded and not be so selective. Maid service was handing tip envelopes after one evening and they did not even have to change the sheets.

    « Great Location »

this was a very CLEAN motel. Friendly and accommodating. Be sure to look in the drawers and find the Best Western book that lists the restaurants and places of interest. The staff has their favorites and only recommend them. We traveled with a 13 year old and had a very good time. Beautiful countryside. Breakfast is limited to two items ..disappointment and someone that loves a large breakfast will be paying for additional sides.

    « What a treat! »

Spent 3 nites at this wonderful hotel. The suite had two queen-sized beds, and 3 separate "sections" - a sitting room with TV, the bedroom with another TV, and the washroom and large counter area in the middle. All three sections had doors... so if you wanted quiet in your bedroom, your family can still have some fun and social time in the spacious sitting room without disturbing you at all. The pool was lovely. The dining room is very large. Food was good. We were there on a bus tour, and our package included a very filling buffet breakfast in a separate room removed from the foyer. But I do not know if a buffet breakfast is offered to all hotel guests. Short walk from the hotel to many quaint shopping areas. Highly recommend it!

« A few issues that could have been resolved »

First, this resort is beautiful, clean, and the breakfast was delicious. The issues that made our stay less than ideal, were easy remedies, but we had a sleepless night and walked through the hotel soaking wet regardless. We stayed as a family of 6 (2 adults, four children ages 8-12) on the Sunday into Monday on Memorial Day weekend. It was clear the hotel was booked fully for the holiday, but it never felt overcrowded, and honestly, it was nice to not be the only family at an indoor pool for once. I had requested a pack and play/ crib for our disabled daughter (She cannot walk or crawl but can swing her torso around and roll over, so sleeping in a standard bed is not an option) when we made the initial booking. When we arrived the clerk told us that the pack and play was not guaranteed, but maybe there would be one in our room. We assumed there wouldn't be at that point, but I believe she absolutely knew there wouldn't be one in there. My 8 year old disabled daughter had to sleep between my wife and I for safety and none of us slept comfortably. We did go the pool, which was accessible, beautiful, and comfortable. We did not dry off because there were no towels there - other guests reported the issue and after waiting 20 minutes, we opted to put our clothes over our wet suits and return to our room sopping wet. Breakfast was a choice of two items from a select menu and a choice of two drinks or 30% off the menu prices. It made for a good meal and the waitress service was a nicer experience than typical hotel breakfasts. I think the hotel staff was ill prepared for a full booking and am sure they can remedy it before the next busy holiday weekend, but for us, two of the three things we did at the hotel; swim, sleep, and eat breakfast were a monumental disappointment.

« Loved our stay here! »

The room was clean and large with a bonus balcony facing the side street. We were able to see and hear the lovely Amish returning home each evening in their horse drawn carriages. The hotel is is in a great location and the outside reflects the heritage of the area. The hotel and grounds are very well maintained. The restaurant has great food and draws the locals as well. We can't wait to return!

« Clean, Comfortable Room & Friendly, Helpful Staff »

Three friends and I stayed here overnight while visiting PA Dutch Country. The ambiance of the hotel is inviting and relaxing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I had requested a roll away bed and it was already in the room when we arrived. We didn't have an opportunity to eat in their restaurant, we were too busy sightseeing! By the way, the hotel has a great number of flyers in the lobby to help you decide where you'd like to go visit. They also have an onsite pool and Spa that we didn't have a chance to enjoy while on our brief visit. Maybe next time!

    5
    « Third stay here »

This hotel provides comfortable beds, very clean hotel, and friendly, helpful staff. The lady at the front desk went out of her way to help us get some supplies we had left at home. She personally called 2 stores to see if they had what we needed. They also found golf courses for us and answered any questions we had. The entire staff from the cleaning staff, restaurant staff, and hotel staff always have a friendly smile and greeting. We will be returning next year.

    « Relaxing and comfortable »

We stayed here during our trip to Amish Country. It's near some quaint and unique shops. Staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel is neat and clean. « Clean Comfortable Hotel »

I loved how clean the hotel was and nice the staff was. The only negative i had was the pillows. They were too thick, wish I had brought along my pillow. The staff was very friendly and location was walking distance to Kitchen Kettle village. Great shops and places to eat there.

    « Wonderful room! »

We spent one night in this hotel, and were very impressed! We'd passed by the hotel before the big renovation, and were really surprised at how great it looks now, and how much bigger it's gotten. What we saw of the hotel was wonderful. The room didn't feel cramped, the little balcony was a nice extra, there was plenty of parking, the breakfast was very good, and the beds were very comfortable. Everyone in our party was very pleased with the hotel, and we will likely go back again!

After a fun day in Lancaster, the fun continued at Best Western... Swimming!... Large comfortable room with a whirlpool!... And the next great day began with a hearty breakfast in the Old Mill Restaurant... without even having to go out of doors!... Friendly staff!... Thanks for a wonderful time!

A wonderful facility with excellent breakfast and lunch. We typically request a 2nd floor but this time our 2nd floor room had a road view and we heard a lot of traffic noise, quite loud in fact. Next stay we will request a room more towards the center of the hotel.

We find this Hotel to be excellent for my husband and I. My husband is a disabled Vet. and likes this hotel, he has easy access to all his needs. The pool and spa temperatures are always comfortable. The food in the restaurant is always good, the staff is always polite. It is located close to the cannery and meat market and other shops. Love hearing the horse and buggies going by.

« Excellent Getaway with good friends »

We were two couples who have been friends for many years and looked for a place to relax, shop and sight see. Lancaster has so much to do, see, and many good places to shop and eat. Looking forward to our return trip in November.

Wonderful hotel! Great location in Amish Country! We will definitely stay again if we're in the area. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a waste of time, however. They really should expand their breakfast choices.

I decided to treat my mom to a getaway for her birthday/ Mother's Day. We enjoyed that the hotel was right across the street from Kitchen Kettle Village. We walked all the shops and went back to hotel where they have a good size pool and hot tub. We will be going back again next year!

fantastic hotel with a wonderful staff- great location in the heart of amish country- such a beautiful hotel that was recently renovated- an incredible value staying at this best western is a joy- coffee bar, free breakfast and really nice clean rooms with lots of space. our room had a private patio sitting area that made us feel like we were at a friends home instead of a hotel

    « Great Place »

Hotel and rooms were clean. It was centrally located to Lancaster. Hotel was surrounded by quaint shops and farms, great scenery. Staff was so friendly and check in was easy. Old Mill Restaurant attached to hotel had great food, and complimentary breakfast was tasty and fresh. Pool was a little cold and it was not attached to hotel, had to walk across the street from the main entrance which was a little weird. Beds were fair in comfort. I would definitely stay here again.

« Best Western Plus A Great Stay »

Our family and several friends have now stayed at this hotel twice in the past several months when we've come to the Lancaster PA area. We come to see the plays at the Sight and Sound Theater here. This is a great place to stay! From the helpful, friendly staff at the front desk, to the excellent on-site restaurant and its terrific staff, as well as the very nice rooms, everything here is top notch! Would heartily recommend to families, couples, etc. The hotel's location is superb for going to attractions in the Lancaster area, as well as Hershey PA, Gettysburg, and the surrounding towns. We will definitely be staying here when we come back each year!!

    « Family Mini Getaway »

One thing that can ruin a planned getaway is to find your accommodations to be a problem. Upon arriving we found bathroom separating the 2 sleeping areas had only 1 door for privacy. We expected 2 doors in order that either bedroom had complete privacy. The front desk employees work exceptionally well to find rooms spanning our 3 night stay satisfying our privacy requirement. The dates involved were very busy and it required a couple of moves to other rooms. The staff moved all our belongings themselves without troubling us or disrupting our plans. I should note that I made the reservation myself and was not familiar with the room layout enough to know the privacy arrangements. The front desk and housekeeping staff worked hard even knowing I created the problem

The room was very clean and well kept. Enjoyed the Old Mill Restaurant and the choice of included breakfast or discount on a full one. Very warm atmosphere and literally warm. Far enough off the beaten track to be quiet but close enough to get to Lancaster in a few minutes.

Absolutely the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. Cordial staff; lovely immaculate room; warm welcoming lobby with a coffee bar - comparable to Starbucks. My husband was not feeling well and the staff in the motel and connected restaurant were very helpful and concerned.

« Not worth the price... »

Let me start by just saying this is really nice hotel, it really is, but it's definitely not worth what you pay for it. First of all, they say breakfast is included, and it is...if you want to wait an hour for cold cereal or a bagel. The hotel's breakfast is in the attached restaurant, they provide a list of what is included, and you can order from that. The problem is it is VERY limited, and the staff at the restaurant takes care of the paying customers first, so you'll wait a while. They also say they have an indoor pool, the pool is indoors, in another building, that IS NOT connected, so I hope your visit has nice warm weather. The pool area is nice. There seems to be a serious ant problem over around the hot tub, though. The hot tub is large, which would be great, but they didn't put enough jets in, so it's more like a warm public bath. They have changing rooms, but I've seen cleaner bathrooms at the beach. It's evident the rooms were just remodeled, they're nice, but the tiles in our bathroom were already coming up loose. They're also surprisingly small, you can't leave the bathroom door open as it blocks the entire entry way. Our room was also on the first floor and only had sheer curtains, which I see as a huge problem, especially since there was a street light right outside the window that kept us up at night. The beds are firm, my mom liked them, I didn't. I think it's a personal preference thing. Our room had a cute little patio area, which was a nice surprise. Some of the hotel staff is nice, others seem to go out of their way to avoid you. We made this reservation last minute based on its good reviews. We usually stay in cheaper hotels and figured we'd splurge a little. To us, it's not worth what we paid. I've had way better experiences at $70 hotels.

    « Mother's Day Treat »

First time and definitely not the last. Quiet peaceful area with only the sound of horses trotting through the neighborhood from time to time. Nearby attractions that are walking distance or a short drive away from the hotel. Enjoyed the tasty complimentary breakfast, and wising to take advantage of the indoor spa next time around.

    « "Two night getaway" »

Normally stay at Hampton Inns so this was a first time stay at a BW, we were greeted as soon as we entered. Very impressed with how welcoming and helpful all the staff including housekeeping were. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Not having to drive to see kettle kitchen shops, was great. Having restaurant right in hotel was so convenient. Would and have already recommended hotel since coming home. Husband & I agreed this was better than most of our Hampton Inn stays around the US. Will definitely be back and now will be open to trying other Best Western Plus or Premier.

    « Two night stay »

This was our second trip to BW,. Upon arriving we were greeted upon walking in. Marshall didn't wait for us to be at the front desk to start our checkin. Once we entered the hotel, he was already at the computer which meant he didn't have us waiting for him to sign on before he could start the process of checking in. The room was very clean and updated. The cleaning staff took the time to write a "welcome" note wishing us a wonderful stay. Even thou it was raining, the short walk to numerous stores made shopping very easy. After a day of shopping the heated pool was a welcome addition. Visiting with others while at pool side, made for a very relaxing time. Not having to dine out helped to make the most of our short visit to Amish area. Over all, the time spent at this BW was too short and we are looking forward to our next stay.

« Too sad for words »

So - I stayed at this Best Western while it was being renovated. I gave it a high rating ... it was perfect location and clean... oh so clean. The sad part of the story is that the renovations are now complete and what had cost me a fair amount per night has now tripled if not quadrupled in price... that's why I think it is sad for words. Can't afford to stay here ever again. If you have the money, don't hesitate!

« Great Stay and Location »

This was our second time staying here. I love the location, it's close to lots of the attractions and shops. It is walking distance to Kitchen Kettle. The room was a very nice size. King size comfy bed. Coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant one morning of our stay. Try the coffee cake, it's great. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Disappointed »

We enjoy the occasional visit to this area and this time wanted a special experience for my wife's birthday. We chose the Best Western for an overnight stay as it was rated #2 of all hotels in the PA Dutch area. First the pros: Check-in went smoothly, staff was very cordial and provided information and suggestions for the area, including discounts for some local businesses. Although the room was adequate, including a small fridge, microwave, and flat screen TV, the $139.85 rate for a Thursday night could have purchased nicer accommodations. Beds were comfortable, lighting a bit dark, but overall clean. Parking was free, nice lobby, and location was excellent for Kitchen Kettle Village and other shops in town. Check out was handled well. Now the cons: The sink, located outside the bathroom, drained very, very slowly. However, it still worked, so no real problem. During morning showers, we discovered that the tub did not drain at all. To get water out of the tub required manually holding open the drain, which took a while for both of us. Since we were checking out that morning we reported the problem at check-out. Quite possibly, the problem might have been resolved had we known and reported it earlier. The free continental breakfast in the attached restaurant was abysmal. We weren't very hungry and wanted to get on our way so chose the continental breakfast. After being seated, it took 20 minutes before a server took our orders. I chose cereal and a bagel and my wife cereal and a fruit cup. We could choose either two drinks or a large milk, which we both picked. After another 25 minutes, our order came and we learned that we had to use the milk for the cereal, leaving nothing to drink and the fruit cup was terrible. So, my wife's birthday began with an hour plus continental breakfast, which left a lot to be desired. The indoor pool may have been nice, but was located across the parking lot road and you would need to go outside to reach it. We've stayed at several B & B's which were better than this - and not just the breakfast. Would have picked the Inn at Leola Village, but this received higher ratings on TripAdvisor. For many this may be an excellent choice. However, for us, this was to be a special occasion, and it wasn't.

    « Beyond Happy »

I couldn't be more pleased with all aspects of our stay here. Upon needing a cot for our toddler the staff released it would be a tight fit and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room with a pull-out sofa. The building is beautiful, the lobby as well. The room was pretty and comfy, and the staff were SUPER accommodating. The restaurant was sweet and quaint, with excellent service and prices. The pool was great as well! I HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

    « DO NOT HESITATE! »

This is the perfect place to stay for the Lancaster area. We only had a quick trip, but this is right in the center. It is beautiful, clean, quiet and just plain wonderful. It was our anniversary and they made it very special. Just perfect!

    « LOVED this place!! »

Unfortunately we only stayed one night but was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay. The gentlemen at check-out were remarkably friendly and conversational. After breaking the corkscrew inside the cork inside our wine bottle they spent 20 minutes making sure they got our bottle open. Everytime we passed through the lobby we were warmly greated. We had the best burger of my life in the restaurant for dinner - we were again overwhelmed with how friendly and conversational the waitresses were -even those who were no assigned to our table. I highly recommend this place. So much so that I had to right a review justs a few hours after returning home

« BEAUTIFUL HOTEL and WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE »

« Short stay but great stay »

Everyone was wonderful and the rooms were clean. The hotel was very close to everything we attended and the directions we needed were easy to follow. Even got a note by the ladies that tended to our rooms . Very personal. Will stay there again.

    « Great Hotel but... »

My family and I loved staying at the Best Western Plus Village Inn and Suites. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were exceptionally clean. We stayed there for 2 nights and and booked 2 rooms, one for my husband and I and one for my parents and children. We were side to side so the kids loved "visiting" us. They also liked the balconies where they would sit to look at the buggies pass by. My parents loved how they could easily walk to the Village, which was literally next door. The pool was great! Now be warned that the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast at the in-house restaurant. You have a selection of 2 food items, no meat, and 2 bevarages. The only protein offered are eggs. The other food selections are carbs. We didn't go too early in the morning because we were told that it gets super busy. We went down at around 10 am each morning and it wasn't busy at all. The service in this restaurant is not the best and does not compliment the hotel. Maybe we were not treated nicely because they knew that we were ordering from the "free breakfast", my opinion, while there were other costumers paying for their breakfast since locals visit the place . I truly believe that this hotel should have no business with the restaurant but it is in the same building. I told the lady that checked us out that they would be better off if they offered breakfast at the hotel like other hotels do. She apologized for what happened at the restaurant and was nice to take off the milk that we had bought the night before at the lobby from our bill. She did say that they had pastries that we could have picked up in the mornings. All in all, magnificent hotel with great location but cannot give it a 5 star because of the breakfast. The hotel can compete with its neighboring competition, we usually stay at the hotel down the road but it had no vacancy so we decided something new. Very pleased with our choice but the other hotel's breakfast is the best.

« It was a very pleasant experience!! »

Room was clean and updated..the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!! The only downfall was that there was only one treadmill in the fitness center and it was way to cold to run outside..Really enjoyed staying there and will most definitely return soon!!!

    « Beautiful and Serene »

This hotel was more like a palace. The hotel staff was awesome, and the property was immaculate. The only issue was the free breakfast isn't exactly what they're advertising. The complimentary breakfast they offer is extremely limited in choices, and the portions are small. However, when ordering from the regular breakfast menu, the choices are plentiful, and the portions are huge. The food is scrumptious regardless. This is definitely the place to stay if you're visiting Lancaster County. I assure you it will be worth your while.

« Some good, some bad... »

My wife and I stayed here on a trip to visit friends. This appeared to be the highest rated hotel in the area, so we decided to book. If this was the highest rated, i would hate to see what the others looked like. We booked online and got to the hotel shortly after dinner to check in. The front desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful. They indicated that the hotel was booked to capacity that night. After getting our keys and parking the truck, we ventured to our room. The room was a king sized bed regular room. This had to be the smallest hotel room I have stayed in here in the US. When we walked into the room, we immediately ran into the bathroom sink! The vanity and sink were outside of the bathroom, inside the room. The bathroom was the size of a small closet. The shower and toilet were the only facilities inside the room. There was just enough room to turn around in front of the toilet to get in the shower. The towels were all stacked above the toilet. There was the bedroom area. This area was actually very clean. The bed was too soft for my comfort however. Now for the part that really upset us... The room was adjacent to the front, restaurant parking lot. The blinds were fixed into position and would not close. All night, we had lights from the cars and parking lot shining into our room. If the hotel had not been booked to the limit, we would have asked for another room. In addition, they placed us at the second room from the lobby. We heard lobby noise along with the noise from the adjacent room during our short stay. Despite our poor experience, I must say that the hotel was relatively clean. They had a wonderful restaurant on site along with a spa. Location wise, it is directly adjacent to Kitchen Kettle Village and there were plenty of things to see and do in the immediate area. For this, I give the hotel an average rating rather than a poor rating. I am doubtful that we would be back. But, I cannot completely give this hotel a poor rating since the bad experiences I had would have been corrected on a less busy night with a different room.

    « Wonderful getaway! »

We had the opportunity to take a quick trip to PA. I immediately got online to find a place to stay. This Best Western was one that I compared to other chains, non-chains andB & B's in the area; I have to say that this Best Western is just that .. the best! From the homey feel when you enter the reception area to the wonderful room we had. We enjoyed the sitting areas near the fireplace in the reception area to visit with friends who live near by. It was just like being in our own home. The cleanliness, friendliness and care that is provided to guests is just the best. The pool and spa was a plus; especially since we had rain. I think we just felt like we were home only better!

    « Great stay »

Pool and hot tub was great! Everything was perfect from cleanliness to friendliness. Only complaint is have is that he bed and pillows were on the firm side, a little too firm. Bringing my own pillows next time I come back to this hotel for sure.

    « Great Easter Trip! »

My husband and I love visiting Lancaster County. We have stayed several places, but this is by far our favorite. We visited last weekend so our 19 month old could ride the Easter Bunny Train in Strasburg. The hotel is in a great location! Our son loves to watch the horse and buggies ride up and down the road. There are also several shops and places to eat within walking distance. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean with friendly staff. We love the sit-down option for breakfast, even though our service this past time was a little slow. However, the hotel restaurant was very busy, so we understoof. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were great with our son. This was our second time staying in this hotel, and we can't wait to return!

« Like staying with good friends »

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. All staff, especially front desk, were so warm, friendly and personal. They really wanted to do anything to make you enjoy your time with them and it showed. I overheard desk staff saying that they enjoy their jobs! Kudos!! The property itself was beautiful and inviting with clean, attractive rooms and even a 'fresh remote' in a linen bag. Lobby was like home-like with different sitting areas, fireplace, tvs and a wooden dining table. All beautifully furnished.

    « A gem »

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and it delivered. Might be the cleanest hotel ever. Rooms were spacious, heat and A/C worked great. There's a back door from the room out onto a little patio or balcony, which is a nice feature. (Mine opened onto a parking lot, but still...) And the window actually opened. There are lots of dining options in the immediate area but the hotel restaurant is good, open long hours. Our full breakfast for 3 people was only $20 after our 30% room discount. Lobby is charming with a 2-sided fireplace and comfy chairs in several areas. Free, open wifi. Great place to stay.

« Stayed her during Quilt Week »

This hotel was fabulous. I would stay here regardless of what was available in Lancaster. Ticks ALL the boxes! I have reviewed via Best Western survey as well so there may be some duplication of review. The bathroom was CLEAN. I arrived after 8p and most local restaurants were closed. The reception staff was exceptional and had great suggestions for places that delivered. The room had everything I needed. Did not get a chance to eat at restaurant. One of the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The grounds were neat and tidy and parking ample. Staying right in the center of Intercourse is charming to say the least. I stayed only 2 nights and truthfully I hated to leave!

« Wonderful hotel that feels like a lodge style retreat »

I am new to traveling in this area, but without a doubt if and when I return I will stay at this hotel. From my late arrival to checkout, everyone was top notch and accommodating (helping me to find dinner when most things were closed), the beds super comfy, the bathrooms cleaner than almost any hotel I've ever stayed in, and the price was unbeatable. The grounds were well maintained - everything looked like attention to detail was a priority. I traveled in mid March which is a wonderful time to go. I would recommend this for families, girls weekends or any combination of travelers.

Being from NYS, when our children were young, we camped several times in Lancaster County. Now that we are empty nesters we decided to upgrade! And what a delight is the Best Western in Intercourse, Pa. This Inn and Suites was recommended by friends who had stayed there previously. The design of the Inn is so quaint and fits in with the country farms in the surrounding areas. The location is ideal...close to shops, farmers' markets, and delicious eateries. The staff were so warm and helpful. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely with delicious food. We went to the Jacuzzi quite late yesterday, and even though we were told it closed at 11:00 p.m, no one came along to kick us out! We would definitely return!

« My favourite place to stay in this area! »

I just returned home from travelling with 3 friends for Quilt Week in Lancaster. I always return to this hotel when I am in this area. This was my first stay since it was renovated and it is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It was a bonus to also receive coupons to local businesses. The adjoining restaurant serves delicious food and the service is very friendly.

« Always an excellent experience! »

This is my favourite hotel when visiting the Lancaster area. It has received extensive renovations since my last visit and I highly recommend staying here. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful in the hotel and the restaurant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our room was on the 3rd floor and it was quiet within the hotel although occasionally trucks could be heard from the road. The continental breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant where the food is delicious and the servers are very good.

    « ANOTHER DELIGHTFUL STAY! »

Just got home tonight after staying Tuesday 3/15 until 3/18. Been coming here since 2010 with a group of friends for Quilt Week in Lancaster. Check in was great, so friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and super clean. All the staff were wonderful. We stayed in 2 2 room suites, so roomy and comfortable. Could have spent a month there. Restaurant had excellent service even though learning a new computer system, food was wonderful. Look forward to staying there again in a few months with my husband and especially next year for Quilt Week.

« Nicest hotel I saw in this area »

First time staying here, hotel people friendly, helpful. The rooms nice and clean, beside the dining room I would recommend this place, I was happy to stay there. With car within 10-15 minutes to most interesting activities.

The best Best Western we have stayed at. When I booked the room to use the Best Western card. They went out of their to find it and entered it so our points would be entered. None of the other Best Western would not do that.

    « Great Stay »

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Stayed here before the renovations and now it is like a whole new experience. Excellent service from start to finish. The restaurant for breakfast was delicious and much better than the usual buffet offered at most BW hotels. The close proximity of all the shops was a real bonus. Never used the enclosed pool but it looked wonderful. I'll be back!

    « Lovely Hotel »

Wonderful staff, very clean, country inspired interior-but not overdone. This hotel was renovated, does not look renovated, the hotel looks newly built. Usually, a renovated hotel misses something that shows the age of the facility, this property did not look old. I did not use the pool area, but guests had to exit the hotel and then enter the indoor pool area.

« Great hotel to visit Lancaster Amish country »

This was the first time I stayed at this hotel. It was my birthday and I wanted to see the play "Samson" at the Sight and Sound Theater (which was wonderful). I booked two queen beds and at the last minute another person wanted to join us for our trip to Lancaster. The hotel brought in a great comfy rollaway bed and charged only $10 extra. A made to order breakfast was included for us three in their restaurant. They also had a great indoor pool and jacuzzi that we used in the morning after the breakfast. All the workers at the desk were very helpful and friendly. One took time to find us the closest covered bridge and made a map for us to locate it only a few minutes away. We enjoyed stopping there for photos. Several Amish buggies came through the bridge while we there. The location is great. Not much traffic and a few blocks from scenic farmland and a few miles from other sites on the main busier roads. I definitely will stay here again.

« The BEST place in Lancaster County »

This is a top notch hotel. Great, welcoming lobby - warm and cozy to sit and relax after a long day. Spacious, immaculate rooms. Love the ambiance. Pool for the kids and jacuzzi for the adults - great indoor pool house. Walking distant to quaint Amish village, with shops and food. The hotel restaurant was terrific, too. Generous breakfast discount included was an added bonus. The staff and management are top notch, going over and above to accommodate their guests. We were 4 families, including a 94 year old, and they did an awesome job making sure we were all comfortable in the best configuration of rooms. Hats off to these folks!! Great place to stay!! We'll be back for sure.

    « A Taste of Country »

This is an outstanding hotel with all of the amenities that you could want, food. fitness, a great sleep, Wi-Fi, and a grand welcome. It also is extremely clean and warm upon entering. The staff are equally warm and caring individuals, for the hotel staff to the restaurant staff. I have been so pleased that I do not consider another hotel in the area until they say we have no vacancy. It is a pleasing relaxing good stay at a reasonable price. Many thanks.

« Great hotel bad pillows »

This is a fabulous hotel. It is clean, the staff is friendly, the restaurant is great and you can't beat the location. The only problem is the pillows. It has nothing to do with this location in particular, it is ALL Best Westerns have the worst pillows! They are almost round and are hard. It is better to sleep without one, that way you don't wake up with a pain in your neck. The beds at this location were so comfortable, it is unfortunate that the pillows were so bad.

« found thru priceline, so glad »

so our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. We enjoyed the free breakfast option, served in the hotel restaurant with a real waitress (not a room where you make your own waffle and enjoy a hardboiled egg haha). We would stay here again.

    5
    « Excellent experience »

We could not have asked for a better stay. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and knowledgeable. The facility itself was first rate. We had breakfast at the restaurant twice. Both meals were excellent. We cannot wait to return.

« Country Sites and Stay with that hospitality of Quaint America »

We absolutely love our stays at this hotel. It is the second time we have overnighted here and have enjoyed it both times. Our room was a great value for the frequent traveler, with a full breakfast, and an inviting sitting area when you first enter. There is also a workout area for someone wanting to keep the pace of home while away. Small town America at its best.

    « Excellent stay »

We checked in on Sat. 3/5/16, beautiful lobby and wonderful staff. The amenities were over the top. Indoor pool/hot tub were clean & so nice (you do have to go outside to access; but only a few steps from the lobby door. Towels & locker room avail. Room was clean and perfect! Comfortable beds, cute little balcony, fridge & microwave, plenty of channels: did I mention clean! The free breakfast is actually a sit down in the connected restaurant-very good as well. Everyone could not have been nicer. Free tea/coffee/hot chocolate avail in the beautiful lobby. Buggy rides across the street & plenty of shops with in walking distance. Can't wait to return!

« Rustic elegance and warm hospitality »

My daughter and I wanted to take a girls weekend getaway, and located this hotel on the internet. We chose it due to how lovely it looked from the website photos, as well as the positive reviews it got. We were not disappointed! It was cozy and rustic, yet elegant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accomodating. (For example, my daughter and I wanted to watch a dvd, and there was no dvd player in the room. We asked the front desk if one could be acquired, and they promptly delivered and installed one for us.) We enjoyed the pool immensely. And the restaurant staff was courteous. My only complaints would be that the bed was very soft, and as a result I did not sleep well. (This could be due to my preference for a firm mattress.) Also, I did not care for the food served in the restaurant--very PA dutch style. (Hamloaf, liver and onions, chicken and waffles, etc.) Again, this is a preference issue, as I don't like this style of food. For those that do, I am sure it would be enjoyable. Overall, our staff was enjoyable, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience an attractive hotel, friendly service, and PA dutch food.

    « Outstanding! »

Very pleasant, professional and helpful front desk staff. Beautifully appointed, large and immaculate room with very comfortable bed. Loved having a deck and hearing the klip klop of horse and buggies passing this morning. The Old Mill Restaurant attached to the restaurant was delicious and the wait staff very friendly and efficient. Though we did not use the indoor pool and hot tub it looked so ... inviting. Loved it ALL!

    « LEISURELY WEEKEND »

Very quiet and peaceful setting. We enjoyed the stay and the friendly people. It was nice to have shopping within walking distance. Old Mill restaurant was not only convenient being attached to the complex, but, the food was outstanding. Lots of traditional Dutch dishes on the menu.

    « This Hotel Understands "Handicap-Friendly" »

With the recent renovation of this hotel, a good experience has become a great one. I suffer nerve damage in my legs, and sometimes use a wheelchair; this hotel not only "gets that," it makes all experiences both do-able and pleasurable. All amenities here leave me feeling both at ease and not "a burden" or "a patient" because of mobility issues. I can easily enjoy the pool, hot tub, restaurant, rest rooms, shower, and parking facilities.

    « AWESOME »

Room location great. Friendly, helpful, kind staff. Room very clean. Pool area wonderful, clean. Hot tub perfect. Restaurant pleasant with great food. They give you complimentary breakfast or 30 percent off anything for breakfast. Within walking distant of great, small shops. Can't wait to return.

« Friendly staff and clean rooms »

My family and I needed a quick getaway and BW Intercourse was perfect. The hotel is clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was clean and the atmosphere was inviting. We were also pleasantly surprised that the restaurant served delicious food. I was a little skeptical of a Best Western Restaurant but both the dinner and breakfast were satisfying. The hotel is conveniently located to kettle village shops and is only a short drive from other attractions. We will definitely be going to back to visit this property.

    5
    « A Great place »

The hotel was very clean and friendly. the staff made us feel right at home and went out of their way for us. we really enjoyed the dining there, the food was great. we were ablr to walk to kitchen kettle village which made it very enjoyable for my wife and I. we stayed in the king room with the Jacizzi tub. i've never seen such a large room and everything was as good or better that described.

« Dry hotel and town »

Decent clean hotel. The cons are restaurant closes at 8pm. It's a dry town and the hotel is dry too. You can order pizza delivery and a Chinese delivery. We drove 10 miles to a near by town called GAP to unwind after a long drive.

« Gracious and hospital staff »

My husband and I had a nice time staying at the Best Western in Intercourse. First we loved the location, not right on the main road, but close enough to all local attractions and shopping. The pool and hot tub was great. Loved the fact that they had coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours in the lobby. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious and coffee was great. A definite must stay for our next trip to the area.

    « I always stay here. »

I always stay at the BW Intercourse Village Inn & Suites when I visit Lancaster. The hotel is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. It is walkable to Kitchen Kettle Village, and other local attractions, such as Dutch Wonderland, and the Strasburg Railroad are close.

« Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn & Suites »

Fine quality, as always from the hotel stay, employees, restaurant staff. If we did not love the outgoing personal treatment we would not keep coming back. We are looking to our next stay several months down the road this year.

    « Great Time! »

Just returned from a stay at this hotel for a long weeknd and loved it. For me the best part was that the hotel was very quite, even though there were a good number of people there most of the weekend. The Staff is very accomodating and helpful! We are looking forward to returning to this hotel in May for our Son's wedding as well!!!

    « Excellent! »

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn & Suites. The room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant was great and the lobby was warm and beautiful. I recommend, however, that you contact the hotel for the true address. The address from the internet was not correct, so we ended up driving around for awhile.

    « A gem of hospitality »

Beautiful hotel, with 5 star amenities. Although we did not have time to partake of all the hotel had to offer, we had a lovely stay. The staff in the hotel was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and laid out nicely for sharing. Included was a limited menu breakfast or discounted full menu breakfast as well as discounted evening meal. We enjoyed both! The pool and whirlpool were clean and just the right temperatures. The location of this hotel may make it more attractive to couples or families with older teenage children as it is just of the Main Street near shopping. We plan on returning!

    5
« Best place to stay in Lancaster »

We have stayed in many places in and around Lancaster over the years and this place was by far the best value and experience for us. From the hotel lobby to the rooms and spa and restaurant, everything was very clean and comfortable. We will plan to return in the Spring for more shopping.

    4
« Very nice place to stay »

It was clean and decorated nicely. Very affordable. The room was very clean and a restaurant on site was very convenient. Close to Kitchen Kettle Village and there's a spa on site, too. We'll definitely stay there again.

    « Love this hotel! »

Best western plus did an awesome job of remodeling! I used to stay here as a child when it was known as the Deutshire inn. I love how they incorporated the barn decor of the old motel into the new and beautiful updated hotel. We stayed in 1 BW Plus in Atlantic City area and we are hooked now. When we wanted to visit lancaster I only looked for a best western plus. I am very familiar with the area but I was so happy it ended up being the property I used to stay in as a child, thanks for keeping some of the memories alive but spoil us in luxury as adults now. The beds are so comfortable and I love the suite style rooms, it makes you feel at home. It is an extremely clean and pleasant atmosphere. Food was great at the attached Old Mill restaurant. We will be back in the future.

« Excellence Is Always in Season »

We stay here 5 tiems each year; this Best Western is our standard by which we measure the other places we stay. The attention to the smallest detail has exceeded our expectations these past 3 years. The lobby area is so cozy to sit by one of the fireplaces and bask in the cheerful ambiance. The staff is genuinely friendly and they keep the pool and hot tub in tip-top shape. We even love the complementry breakfast served in their resturant - they too exceede our expectations of service and quality. The beds are like sleeping on air and the rooms are always fresh and clean !

    « A wonderful Surprise »

We only stayed one night as we were attending a funeral in the area the next morning. We are Hampton Inn people because we are familiar with their hotels but this was closer and more convenient. I wish we could have stayed more to take advantage of all of the amenities and the restaurant. The staff was super friendly, the lobby was nicely decorated and the room was so perfect. I think we had a king plus room, it had a little sitting area, so it was not the standard room. We really didn't need this but it was lovely anyway. We are from around there so I am not sure I would stay there in the summer, the traffic and people would be a nightmare. It is right in the heart of many tourist attractions. The pool was in a building across from the main entrance and it looked so inviting. Not sure in the dead of winter I would like to go outside to get there. But we are in our 60s. A family wouldn't have a problem. Great place to stay

    5
    « Loved it. »

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was clean, convenient to Sight and Sound Theater and shopping and well appointed. We had the 4 beds in the room and it was perfect for our family of 4. The kids stayed in one room w/2 beds. Me and their grand mom were in the other room connected by the bathroom. It has 2 queen beds too. I will definitely stay here again. Food was good and restaurant staff was very customer oriented. Next time I'll stay longer to visit their Spa.

    5
    « BEST Western! »

The staff was friendly and hotel was clean, updated and a great place to stay. I was there for work but would take family back to visit. I liked the option of having a full breakfast with a great discount or the continental for free. And everything in the restaurant that was attached was excellent!

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Great modern amenities. The restaurant had great food. The pool area was very nice. The staff was exceptional. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Amish shopping areas. It is also just a 15 min drive from the Sight & Sound Theater.

    « Intercourse PA stay »

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Great service, clean rooms and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were able to visit the restaurant for breakfast and had plenty to eat on the free continental breakfast offered with the room. Traveled with 6 kids/teenagers so were able to have adjoining rooms which worked perfectly. We will visit again.

    « Good value »

Recently visited and even though I had an event in Lancaster which is 15 min. away, this was the perfect place to stay. I believe nothing else around the area fits the bill: recently renovated, seems brand new, rooms are ample, perfect for families, nice decor if expected, service and staff were very friendly & accommodating. The restaurant was cute, and pared down, breakfast was great and very reasonable. If ever again in the area I'd surely stay there. I was tempted to try the spa and the indoor pool and hot tub as well, but did not find the time.

« Hotel YES, restaurant NO!!! »

We've stayed at this location many times. They do a great job. The hotel is nicely decorated, clean and fairly new. It's in a great location, within walking distance to many of the town's shops. Plenty of parking, in a well landscaped private lot. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious and very clean. A definite YES!! The restaurant was clean and bright, but the food was poor. We've eaten there on our other stays without a problem, but this trip eww...just eww.

« A place where everyone treats you like royalty »

My family and I have been staying at this Best Western at least once a year since 2002. We have always been taken well care of. Since they have done all the new renovations back in 2013 it is like staying at a gigantic bed and breakfast. All the ladies at the front desk are very kind and answer all your questions. The waitresses in the restaurant make you feel welcome and acomidate any of your wishes especially two. They are Edna and Fanny.

This hotel has friendly staff and is beautifully clean. The room was the perfect size for our family. The only drawback for families with small children is that they don't have bathtubs. The pool was a main attraction and our kids couldn't get enough of it. Also, it is very nice that kitchen kettle Village and many other quaint shops are walking distance.

We had an excellent stay at the Best Western. The entire staff we encountered were very courteous, helpful and genuinely friendly. Our room, which was a suite, was priced modestly compared to what we received. The room was huge, comfortable and very clean. The free breakfast was a nicely added touch and we enjoyed the menu selections. The location was an added bonus, only a two minute walk to The Kitchen Kettle!

    « Can't wait to go back! »

My sister and I purchased a package through Sight and Sound as a surprise Christmas gift for our mom . I cannot say enough about how wonderful the accommodations were. Very clean, very comfortable, and so close to everything that we wanted to see and do. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Breakfast at the Olde Mill Restaurant was fabulous and the service was exceptional (hint: try the oatmeal or coffee cake). We did not have enough time to visit the spa, but we will be making a return trip in April.

The grounds are very nicely maintained and the parking was great (plenty for all). « Excellent hotel!!!! »

My fiance' and I loved this hotel. It was very clean throughout. Great customer service the entire stay. Will definitely go back again. We felt it was a very reasonable price for such a nice hotel. Breakfast was great too. It was so nice to be served breakfast in a restaurant and it was complimentary. Also loved the coziness of the fireplace in the lobby area.

« Great location within walking distance of shops! »

My family of five (three young adult children) stayed for two nights in the two room suite; three beds, one sofa bed and a shared bathroom. Perfect for our family. Free breakfast in the dining room was adequate, nothing fancy, but you can order off the menu with a 30% discount. The restaurant was crowded on Saturday morning, but the wait was not too long. The location is perfect for a stroll through the many shops and a short drive to Lancaster if you want to go into town for more shopping and eating. Overall, this hotel was a great find; clean, comfortable, good service.

    « Room was ok »

We checked into the hotel New Year's Eve and hotel had a very nice party for guest. Games and food for all. In the morning when I took a shower my wife said it sounded like water running into the room. It woke her up. When you run shower it is very noisy in room. The management made up for a small problem in restaurant. Very pleased with outcome. Overall hotel is very clean and all staff was polite and helpful. Free breakfast should offer more with eggs. Not just eggs. Ex. Sausage or bacon included. Dinners and breakfast are all freshly made. Food is great.

The hotel is so well integrated architecturally into the community we nearly drove past it. The entire staff were very friendly and offered lots of information about the amenities as well as local attractions and deals. One of the best included breakfasts we've had in a hotel in this price range. The room was very comfortable and clean. In all, a very good experience.

« Off the beaten path, beautiful Cosy getaway »

I love the location, it's just steps to shopping all the unique country stores. There's a great restaurant on site, BYO wine. The rooms are quiet , clean and inviting. Who knew there was so much theater in Lancaster County? Can't wait to see Samson on the Sight and Sound stage this spring!

« Best hotel in intercourse! »

We got a fabulous deal on priceline, and were a little apprehensive when we realized it was only for a single queen bed. I was traveling with my mom, husband, and kids and thought we'd be getting a double queen. Upon check in they upgraded us free to a double queen suite! We felt like royalty the entire time we were there. Had breakfast (free) for take out, there was free coffee and cocoa in the lobby, and the place was spotless. We are very happy with our stay and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

We stay at the Intercourse Best Western about 4 times a year. The hotel is lovely, the staff is beyond helpful and the kids love the pool. There are many nearby attractions and the restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food.

    « Nice Getaway »

Very beautiful town and a nice a quick escape with wonderful scenery. The front desk staff was very nice also. The explanation of the beautiful 3D painting behind the front was very detailed. The staff member clearly knew a lot about what she was referring to.

Excellent! Everything about the hotel was fantastic. We had a good time in the pool/jacuzzi, the rooms were updated and clean, staff helpful and it was nice to have the restaurant attached to the hotel along with its complimentary breakfast!

    « Absolutely stay here »

This hotel could easily be on the same level as a hilton. Among arriving it's aesthetic...very beautiful on the inside as well. The staff was incredible from start to finish. Rooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable. Located within in walking distance to all the shops...which is a huge plus...I can't (and I tried) to find a negative comment. Close to dutch wonderland and lancaster. I would give it a second thought...if I can't stay here, I won't go.

    « Spacious & Cozy »

This was a great family hotel. Very spacious as had living area with its own tv and pull out couch and then bathroom and then bedroom. Kids had their own space and could watch their own TV and parents able to have their own space also. Location was great - right across from shopping village. Lobby was rustic modern vibe with beautiful fireplace - would definitely recommend!!

    « Don't Judge a Book by its Cover! »

Internet pictures are deceiving. Once inside our rooms, very pleased with the appearance, and attention-to-detail in cleanliness. Hotel pillows aren't comfortable; suggest taking your own! Grandboys loved the pool. In the heart of Intercourse and convenient to shopping with and 5 minute walk. Staff friendly as was other hotel guests. Definitely will stay again.

Wonderful and helpful staff. Very courteous. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Liked the outdoor balcony. Plan to return again and again as this was our second stay and the location is perfect for parking your car and walking to shops, restaurants and spa is on site.

    « Best again! »

We love staying here. The pool is warm when they are packed and because breakfast is so crowded we usually eat our own food in our room, but other than that and the hard beds (I don't think I can find a hotel bed as good as my sleep number bed at home,) the place is immaculate, a true suite with lots of room, and always a great value. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. They have a great fitness room also. We already have booked our next stay and are excited because it has a patio!

« Wonderful surprise room had a patio »

My friend & I were on a 3 day bus trip to Lancaster Pa & we stayed at the Best Western Intercourse for the first time. I Love this hotel. Everyone was friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean & roomy. The handicap bathroom was truly handicap accessible. It had a raised toilet with grab bars & a roll in shower with fold down seat. What I especially liked was that the toilet/shower was separate from the Vanity/sink. So that one person can be washing face, doing hair etc. while a second person could shower in private. And Vanity area had a microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable with a firm mattress & lots of pillows. When we opened the window drapes, did we get a big surprise, it wasn't a window but french doors to our own patio with a table & chairs. The second floor rooms had balconies with table & chairs. They do have a pool but it is in a seperate building a few steps across from entrance (under covered walkway), the air was warm, the pool was warm & there was a great hot tub, also there are tables & chairs to sit & visit with fellow travelers. No need to take towels with you they are provided. The Amish breakfast at the attached restaurant was delicious. And there is 24 hr coffee & tea available in lobby. There is now an elevator to upper floors, free wifi in rooms & 2 computers in the lobby for public use. I can't say enough good about this B.W. & plan to stay there on all future trips. Also it is only a short 2 blocks to the Kitchen Kettle Village & other stores. It is only 10-20 min to Sight & Sound in Lacaster & other venues. such as Bird in Hand, Stay there & you won't be disappointed

« Just an Awesome stay »

Just awesome. Best room we have stayed in, n a very long time. Renovation are awesome. Thanks for being there. Had my 85 yr old mother in law and her 90 yr old sister with us. Even they raved about the hotel and the restaurant.

    5
    « Wow! »

Probably the nicest, cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in! Don't let the name Best Western fool you. This is not like any chain hotel, it is more like a lodge! The lobby was so warm and inviting, I just wanted to curl up with a good book on the couch in front of the fireplace! Everything was beautifully (and tastefully) decorated for Christmas too. The staff was so pleasant, even the ladies cleaning the rooms were extremely polite and spoke to us as we walked in the hall. Will definitely be back!

    5
    « Winter Wonderland »

Very cute hotel. Welcoming and decorated to make you feel at home instantly. Plus, with the fireplace just inside the lobby combined the Christmas music playing over the speakers, it just made everything seem more magical. But most importantly, the staff were very friendly. Should probably mention that ha ha

    « A Beautiful Lancaster trip »

Hotel was very good, clean and comfortable. Pool facility was large and very accommodating. The only shortcoming was the "included" breakfast, at the attached restaurant, the "Free" breakfast was very limited. The full restaurant menu was available at a 30% discount. Although not a lot of money for breakfast, this option seemed to be petty . BTW, we ordered off the full menu and the breakfast was very good.

    4
    « very good »

We had a great time at the hotel. The facility is clean and the staff was nice. The only item that I would like to see improvement is the breakfast. You need to be really patient to get your order and the bill.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

This is not the first time my family has stayed at this hotel. We love it. The rooms are lovely, clean, and very comfortable. This time we had a suite on the first floor which was wonderful. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with very good choices for breakfast. The location is perfect if you like to walk to Kitchen Kettle Village. Can't wait to go back.

This hotel was an excellent value and was located right near so many shops as well as Kitchen Kettle Village. The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel which was ideal - good food choices breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    « Great Trip »

This hotel is the cleanest, friendliest hotel we have ever stayed at. We keep coming back to this hotel when we need a weekend getaway. The staff goes out of their way to make it a great stay. You get a free breakfast, Amish favorites, and the breakfast each morning is worth the stay.

    « Hospitality and comfort »

We have been wanting to stay here on one of our many visits to the area. We've enjoyed the other best western properties in the area (Revere in Paradise and Eden resort in Lancaster). We stayed here as part of a combination with our sight and sound ticket. It was a good rate. We wish we could get that rate directly. The location here is close to many nice places. The people here greeted us so nicely and were helpful with our questions we had about where to find some new places we wanted to go. The restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast. At dinner they helped us get our food quickly so we could get to the show. The hotel staff gave us excellent directions for back roads to avoid traffic. Tip: get to breakfast before 9:30 am on a weekend or you'll be waiting a long time on line. The room (#144) was very roomy and the bed was extremely comfortable. We found a new home. We will look to come here the next time if we can find a good rate.

    « 5 Star Hotel Facility »

Appreciated the hospitality & service & accommodations at this facility many times! A 3 year work term on the west side of the continent negated enjoyment of our visiting this picturesque corner of the world for a few years. But we have returned to the east and the recent extensive renovations of this property put this hotel as #1 (we travel a lot!). Our little getaway from the demands of our life routines could not have been better. Our room was impeccably clean, the restaurant breakfast delightful, fried chicken dinner was the best we have ever eaten and the front desk/restaurant staff were both helpful & friendly. The new indoor pool & hot tub was fun for us too! Luv this hotel!

    « Great Stay! »

My family and I had an awesome stay at the Best Western Plus in Intercourse, PA this weekend! Lobby is very comforting! The front desk employees are very down to earth.. We were in room 352, a deluxe suite! The room was so, so nice! Very spacious bathroom with very strong water pressure! The beds were like sleeping on a cloud.. The view was very nice.. The restaurant has delicious food ( Rose was one of the best waitresses that I have ever had). This hotel was in the heart of all of the shops, restaurants, attractions, etc.. Perfect location! DEFINITELY WILL RETURN!!

    « Thanksgiving Weekend »

First Thanksgiving away from home. After cooking the turkey for 25 years, I believe we have started a new family tradition! We still were able to get a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. It was so relaxing to be away from all the hustle and bustle after Thanksgiving. Lancaster outlets are great. Picked up lots of goodies at the outlets for ourselves and presents. Looking forward to coming back in February.

« Like being home again! »

We love staying at the Best Western Intercourse Inn. Have been staying at the hotel for years and had even stayed at one of their vacation homes with our family. This year was no different..staying at the inn gives you great service, beautiful rooms, great amenities, wonderful restaurant, but the most important of all are the men and women who work there, always welcoming, there to assist with any help or questions, and just plain friendly..makes you feel like family..which is why we always return and would never stay anywhere else.

This very clean and well run hotel is in the absolute heart of Amish Country with close proximity to Kitchen Kettle Village, Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop, Bird-in-Hand Market and other wonderful attractions. The Spa, Pool, Hot Tub and Gym are excellent, as are the extremely comfortable beds. They've recently updated the menu in the Restaurant, and the food is absolutely on par with New York. I love being in this hotel and so close to my Beloved Amish. I can't wait until I am able to visit again!

« Best Western Plus Intercourse PA »

we stayed at the Best Western Plus in Intercourse PA because we were going to a play at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster. This hotel was great! The room was immaculately clean. Had a little porch to sit on. And the pool and hot tub were sparkling. The cleanest pool and hot tub I have ever seen at any hotel. And the water temp in the pool was nice and warm. Just perfect. The front desk staff were all so very nice and friendly. And the resautrant was very good too. We received complimentary breakfast which was two eggs and a large cup of fresh sliced fruit. Dinner was also very good and a good price. I received one night free since I am a Best Western club member and had accumulated enough points.

The hotel was very nice, quiet and clean. The pool and hot tub was nice too. Staff was friendly. Great location. We were just there for a weekend, didn't have time to enjoy as much as we would have like to. Wish we had more time and could have walked to nearby kitchen kettle, but did not get the chance. Would stay at this hotel again.

« Great Hotel, Great Stay »

We used this hotel for our room block for our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about it. The general appearance is charming. The staff were all friendly, efficient, and more than accommodating. Our room was great. We had a suite so we had plenty of space as people stopped by or we were holding wedding stuff. Our party ended up informally gathering in the lobby area. The staff never asked us to move it elsewhere. I had multiple guests tell me how great the hotel and staff were. By far my best hotel experience ever!

« New Best Kept Secret! »

This place was gorgeous! We drove up at night and were pleasantly surprised that the BW looked exactly as it did in the photos . (this can be rare). It is aesthetically gorgeous and inside is cozy and inviting yet has a classic, clean and modern feel. We had a great room with a walk out deck. I think I just found the perfect getaway! Staff was excellent, I think we were lucky, right after we checked in a chartered bus arrived. whew! Believe it or not cant find one negative thing about this place - as for surrounding area, quite lovely! Just wish the business stayed open longer but hey that's small town for you, if you want the city that never sleeps keep heading down Rt 30 and you'l find it not too far from PA. Go and enjoy!!! You will not regret it!

    « Another wonderful stay! »

Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn has become our go-to hotel when we visit Lancaster County, PA. It is always immaculate, and the staff is very pleasant. We are yearly visitors to the area, and feel as though it is our home away from home. This year, we traveled with my sister, and were pleased to be able to have adjoining rooms. Actually, suites. They we're beautiful and spacious. So nice, in fact, we thought we may have been given the wrong roms! The added bonus is that it is within walking dustance to everything in Intercourse, for example, Kitchen Kettle Village, the Candle Barn, Smucker Village, etc. Thanks again, BW Intercourse, for a wonderful stay!

    « Relaxing getaway »

We stayed 3 nights in November and must say the desk staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in a 2 queen bed with a balcony room. We enjoyed watching the Amish buggies ride by. The room was quiet. The water pressure was good and the room was clean. We liked the pool location because the hotel did not smell like chemicals. We visited the pool 3 times and it was not crowded. You do need your key to enter but there is not a lifeguard on duty. Towels are provided and the bathrooms are large enough to get changed in. (But there is only one women's and one men's). We enjoyed the table service and didn't mind leaving a tip for the free breakfast. It gets croweded so we went early to avoid the crowds. The Wi-Fi could be better. There is plenty of free parking. We did not use the computers or the spa. The small giftshop has toiletries if you forget something. The kids played checkers and had complimentary hot cocoa from the lobby. We walked to the old candle barn, pretzel shop and kitchen kettle. We took a buggy ride from kitchen kettle. There is one washer and one dryer free to use on the second floor. I would return to this hotel again if we go back to the area although I would stay in a larger room if the price was reasonable.

    « Wonderful Gem of a Place »

We come to the Pennsylvania Dutch country every year for a short girlfriends' getaway. We last stayed at this property two years ago after Hurricane Sandy forced us to change our travel reservations at a nearby property. At that time, the place had a certain charm, but was worn and in need of an update. We were told that they were going to be remodeling and renovating shortly after our stay. What a pleasant surprise it was to return to this place! 50 rooms were added, and the lobby desk was now open 24 hours. Complimentary coffee and tea were available and various coffee drinks ala Starbucks style were for sale at reasonable prices, as were vending and souvenir items. The room now had a large flat screen TV and was clean, roomy, and modern. The place has a lovely restaurant where guests can get a free continental breakfast or 30% off the regular menu, and we were given a coupon for 10% off the dinner menu, which we did take advantage of. The property was also located within walking distance of a local attraction, Kitchen Kettle Village along with several other shops. Tanger and Rockvale Outlet Shopping Centers were only 10 minutes away. The rate was very reasonable for the area. i highly recommend.

« Toy Train Show in Amish Country »

Recently went to the Train Collector Association meet in York, PA. The hotel is located in a great area, heart of the Amish Country, with many shops, outlet malls and amusement parks nearby. The Best Western is always great in every way. We have stayed there many times and have never been disappointed.

    5
    « Always feel welcomed. »

We've stayed here numerous times and always receive the same high level of service. We're always greeted with a smile. All of the staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. It feels like a family run business and it is because you can actually see family members hard at work. The hotel and accompanying rooms are always clean and very well decorated. There is a pool, spa, and exercise room among other amenities. One of their great assets is the attached restaurant. The food is delicious, the value outstanding, and the service is friendly and prompt. The hotel location is great since it is near the local attractions and centrally located to other nearby Amish towns. We highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Totally Remodeled »

We had been here before the expansion two years ago and it was a great 'local' place. We were happy to see that the expansion and remodel did not change that. The rooms are tastefully done, clean and modern. We did not visit the pool so I can't speak to that. We did eat at the attached Old Mill Restaurant and are happy to say that it has remained the same simple hangout for locals. If you stay, you get vouchers for breakfast, definitely go for the 30% off option and get one of their full breakfasts. Their location makes this the perfect place to stay.

    « Family Fun »

This hotel is great! We had two connecting rooms, both were very clean and had everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The lobbies, yes lobbies they have four little lobby areas, are very inviting with fireplaces and comfy furniture. There is a touch screen board with local attractions listed, it gives you all the information you need for each attraction. The indoor pool and was heated and ready for you to jump in. Then there was breakfast, we were skeptical when given a card to pick two items from. Breakfast was served in the restaurant the food was amazing, the servers were awesome. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel for our stay.

From the moment we walked into the lobby till the moment we walked out, each and every staff member was friendly and sincerely enjoyed their job. We felt welcomed and at home. The extra touches of specialty coffee drinks, beautiful fire place and decor were wonderful. Everything was very clean and well kept. Having the restaurant right there was so helpful during this crowed time of year in Amish country! Love that they proudly posted the history of the Old Mill.

« Always An Excellent Experience »

We have been coming to this location for several years now and have yet to have less than an exceptional experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff of this hotel is always very friendly and welcoming. It is so nice to have everyone smile and and say "good morning/afternoon/evening". The room is always clean and comfortable. It is also very nice to have a good restaurant on the premises - the food is good and plentiful and the wait staff is friendly and accommodating. This is truly the best hotel we've ever stayed in and that is why we keep coming back.

    5
    « Loved our stay! »

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely loved it. The room was very nice and comfortable. The entire hotel from the room to the lobby and even the parking lot was very clean and cozy. The lobby has different areas for you to relax and enjoy your down time, it also has a small coffee bar and served some of the best coffee I've had anywhere. All of the staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to housekeeping, they all had smiles on their faces and seemed to genuinely like their jobs. Our beds were comfy and our room was large, didn't feel shoved in to a tiny place with no room to breath like some hotels. We were in a bottom floor room as requested and it was convenient to everything they had to offer. The restaurant, which is attached to the hotel is quaint, it's not fancy but very cozy. I had breakfast there and it was a chilly morning so they had the fire place going. It seems to be popular with the locals, too. I was there very early on a Saturday morning and although it was busy, the service was fast and the food was really good. The restaurant building is stone and the hotel looks like a barn outside, it gives you the feel of still being where you are, I think it lends to the overall experience of being in Amish Country. This wasn't our first trip and won't be our last, we'll definitely stay here again, we just really enjoyed it.

« Best Location In Town »

We visit Lancaster once or twice each year. I always choose the Best Western in Intercourse, PA. The location is great. You can pass an entire day just walking to different shops and attractions. When you want to visit something farther a short car ride will take you to the outlets, restaurants, farmers market, etc. The building is fairly new and very comfortable and complete . The beds were comfortable and the fireplaces and coffee in the large lobby were inviting. Everything you need is right here - pool, spa, exercise room, computers and printer in the lobby, wifi, etc!

Lovely service, nice room, fine location to visit Amish country. The atmosphere was really nice and rooms where large and clean - fine for a family or 2 couples as we travelled. Close to some of the best quilting stores in Pennsylvania.

    « Love the Area »

Room was nice but it was tucked in a corner. Bathroom was very small. Overall very nice. The size of the bathroom was due to the way the lodge had to be constructed to fit the lot. They did a nice job with the useable area. We have stayed in the original property before and enjoyed it as we did the new property.

« Lovely location and hotel »

Hotel is lovely, lovely staff, food excellent, location great... only gripe was the flashing light from the smoke detector that needed a new battery (staff put elastopast over it to cover it up) and the room upstairs had their air conditioning running all night which was very noisy... earplugs sorted that out!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very neat and clean. Was nice to have the option for breakfast either the free option or the discount for off the menu. Breakfast was good. Coffee was always available. We only had dinner once which seemed like dinner food, not so great. Did not try lunch. The staff was excellent.

« Out of the Ordinary Review »

Contrary to the vast majority of reviews, our overall stay was less than satisfactory. Our favorite inn in the area was booked up and from available information, the Best Western Intercourse Village Inn was very similar in type of rooms, furnishings, cost, etc. We did not utilize the pool or spa. Adequate handicapped parking. Difficult at times to get on some streets if driving from the hotel, but that is just the way streets laid are. Inn is in a very good location for walking and shopping; The wife and I were assigned Room 127, a King Deluxe Suite. The Desk Clerk indicated we could drive to the back parking lot and unload our luggage as the room had a door to the outside of the building. However, the door could not be unlocked from the outside. OK, no problem, but something out of the ordinary as was the bathroom sink being located adjacent to the living/sleeping area. Over the next few days, we noticed several other things which led us to believe the room was put together without much thought of furniture placement, etc. Bed was placed approximately 2 1/2 feet from AC/Heat unit near the head of the bed which caused a constant draft on our faces when laying down and sleeping. The other nightstand was about an inch or two from the side of the bed; wife had to place a pillow next to the nightstand to keep from hitting her head/face on it. Work area had no desk level electrical outlets. Desk level electrical and USB outlets were on the opposite wall on a nightstand. Why? We started to notice a large amount of dust on furniture even after the room was cleaned. On the 3rd day of our stay, I wiped down the nightstand next to the AC/Heat unit which always had a considerable amount of dust on it. The next morning, the nightstand was very dusty; basically covered in dust. The dust had to be coming from the AC/Heat unit, which it was. I wiped some of the vent slots; they were dirty. Then I pulled out the two vent filters - both were completely clogged. The dust/dirt was so heavy and compacted that shaking the filters did not release what was on the filters. I reported this to the Front Desk which in turn called Maintenance and the filters were replaced. Apparently, there is no schedule for replacing the filters. The major downside of the excessive dust problem over a four day period did nothing but possibly compound medical problems that I have. The wife did experience some dry throat symptoms as well in two or three days after our arrival. TV reception was below average to poor depending on which channel was on. We only ate once in the restaurant. Breakfast, nothing special. The way breakfast is offered is as far as I am concerned "out of the ordinary." You either do or don't. Prices for meals are somewhat higher than expected in comparison to eating establishments in the area. I discussed all of the above upon checking out and explained that if I ranked our favorite inn a 10 then I at best could only rate Best Western Intercourse Village Inn a 6 or 7 based on our stay and could not consider it for any future visits to the area. Staff was friendly and helpful.

« Kind, Clean, and well Kept! »

I loved my stay at the BW Intercourse! My husband and I booked a suite for our anniversary, and it didn't disappoint! There was a living room area with a door into a massive bathroom area, and then a king sized bedroom with a massive [and very clean!] whirlpool tub! The entire place was immaculately clean. Even the adorable porch off of our room was spotless, not even a dead bug on the outside! The front desk was amazingly kind and courteous. Kitchen Kettle Village was literally a 3 minute walk down the street. Very very nice stay. I just wish I knew about the pool. I would have brought my suit!

We are repeat customers and find no need to go elsewhere. The location in Pennsylvania Amish country is ideal as indicated in name "Intercourse"(Cross Keys). Convenient to outlet stores, Amish stores and eateries, a variety of national chain restaurants, Dutch Wonderland, Hersey Park, many unique attractions such as buggy rides, live shows e.g. Sight and Sound, American Musical Experience. comedy acts and stage plays and musicals.

    « Very clean! »

I think when it comes to perfection in a hotel, this is it. The lobby is beautifully decorated. Ha a very rustic feel. The staff is overly helpful. A simple question like 'is so and so open?" "oh let me check for you" and immediately opens Google. We were staying in the 2 room king suite. The room is immaculate. Staying with 2 kids under 3, we made a lot of messes. Housekeeping did an amazing job making the room look normal. They left me extra plastic garbage bags for all the dirty diapers. I'm schocked they even remembered I asked for them. (Thanks Joanna!). It's location is perfect. Right in the heart of so many Amish attractions. Just never travel there on a Sunday. Absolutely nothing is open.

    « Excellent »

From the greeting upon walking in to the staff at the restaurant the experience was great. The only down fall was the free breakfast. Which to me was non existent. The location was within walking distance of the main shopping area. The pool area as well as the entire motel was exceptionally clean.

Our weekend getaway was enhanced by the friendly staff, quiet, clean, and comfortable accommodations, and the convenient and delicious on-site restaurant. Free coffee was available in the lobby and it was very good!. Small convenience store right off the lobby had a very good variety.

I really liked this hotel. After having visited the Amish Country many many time in the past, I decided to stay off the busy Route 30 this time and opted for this hotel. I liked it, but my wife thought it was too far away from all the shopping which she loves to do. In reality, it was only 10-15 minutes away. No big deal for me...but she would of liked something closer to Route 30!!

The hotel accommodations were absolutely wonderful. A group of girls went there to celebrate a 40th birthday among us, and spent time at the Spa. It was wonderful. Great, relaxing complimentary breakfast as well. Within walking distance to some great shopping. Absolutely LOVED it!

    « Great Hotel »

Nice large rooms with a balcony, pool recently renovated as an addition. Staff was friendly, food was good - even a lot of locals eat at the restaurant. Price was a little high, but we may have picked the wrong week to travel because the Pope was in town - we were unsure if that was a factor in the price.

    « Clean and Friendly »

This is the second time I have stayed at this Best Western Plus. The room was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It has a nice indoor pool. It is slightly off the beaten pathway, but close enough to all of the Lancaster attractions. We visited downtown galleries and shopped at the nearby outlets. I would definitely stay again. The continental breakfast is fresh and varied. We did eat at the adjacent Revere Inn ( within walking distance) one evening. It is pretty with great waitstaff, but slightly over-priced for the quality of the food.

« Great hotel, wonderful staff »

Great indoor pool and hot spa. Large room . Close to restaurants, shops and center of the Amish country. Staff knowledgeable of the area and attractions. The breakfast was cooked eggs to order or a percentage off restaurant bill if you preferred anything else. Plenty of parking. Enjoyable stay.

    « Another Wonderful Stay »

This is my second review but 9th visit to this hotel since June, 2015. This trip included my brother, who together with me used this hotel for an enjoyable weekend in the Lancaster, PA area. Why I settled on this hotel - aside from my previous comments - have in part to do with 3 factors; (1) as a handicapped elder fellow I have appreciated the hotel for its kindness as a facility to my wheelchair and to my needs, (2) EVERY staff member has continually respected my 'condition' in such a way as to treat me as they treat everyone - with respect and dignity. I can observe that no matter whom housekeeping, maintenance, desk staff or management come in contact with, there is alway a pleasant 'hello' or 'how was your day'. It means quite a lot not to be 'singled out' for an infirmity, (3) the rooms are always clean, well cared for ... As is the property and (4) ok, so I can't count - the restaurant has wonderful great tasting food with very attendtative wait staff. Knowing that this hotel deserved another review, on this trip I actually tried to pinpoint some of the staff worth mentioning (Crystal, Madeline, Aryanna, Darci, Lisa - front desk staff)(Becky is housekeeping supervisor)(Rose, Cortlynn and Lisa - restaurant). But I do injustice for not remembering the housekeepers who work hard for the money...

Beautiful facility, great professional and super friendly staff from 2nd generation family run business. Decor matched the surrounding community, was very clean and well maintained. The attached restaurant was also Great, food was fantastic (gotta try the Crum Cake), staff friendly and cost was very reasonable. Was recommended by 2 co-workers and will definitely used again and recommend to others.

    « Very nice hotel »

Front desk people were very helpful. The free breakfast was good with the choice of two food items: I had 2 eggs cooked to order and oatmeal. They also provide two drinks free. Also free coffee and tea in the lobby. The room and bed were very nice and comfortable. Very nice indoor pool - but you do need to go outside to a separate building.
