« Great Stay for the Night »

The hotel room is well kept and updated. If you are planning to work in the hotel room, there are electrical plugs on the lamp base, which is a plus for me. The wi-fi connection is good. There was a fridge and microwave. The hotel staff was courteous and kind. At the time I was staying, the water treatment plant was going through upgrades and the water was not drinkable. The hotel staff offered complimentary bottled water at the time I checked in. Good to see that the hotel is mindful of their clients. There is an exercise room, but I didn't get to use it. If there's one thing to be dissatisfied about is that there is no light switch near the door that leads directly to the outside. It's hard to get to the light switch on the other side of the room, when you are coming in from the outside at night.

    « Decent night's accommodation. »

Was passing through on my way to Alberta in early October. Needed a place to stay and checked a few hotels and motels in town. It was hunting season and there were pick up trucks with trailer, boats and ATVs in every parking lot. In addition, I found out there was a large hockey tournament in town that weekend as well. Fortunately, the BWP did not have any hockey teams there and had a room for the night. The price was a bit more that I'd expected. It was like most hotel rooms, clean and comfortable. Very little noise from others in the hallway. Slept well and really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the restaurant the next morning. A full cooked meal. Not just a continental breakfast. If I'm heading west, or east, again, I'd certainly stay there.

    « Not recommended »

It is not a Best Wester Plus hotel! Older hotel with a face lift. Only the price is plus! Not a friendly stuff, not a good service. No breakfast! I don't know why is called a Plus! Not recommended in this area.

    « Can't Say Enough Good Things! »

Room was as nice in person as it was in the pictures which is always an excellent start! We weren't expecting much (just a stay over on a long road trip) but we were very pleasantly surprised by the customer service as well as room cleanliness! It's very hard to find an affordable place that keeps their rooms clean enough to keep you from thinking about how many people have been in the room before you. Very nice amenities, rooms were nicely updated, great parking right outside your room, and the little breakfast bags were wonderful to take on the go! I really appreciated how environmentally conscious they are.

    « Awesome »

I was there for a conference. My room was fabulous. It had recently been updated. The bed was very comfortable; bathroom clean and bright. Staff at the front desk were exceptional. The food was also very good.

« Great stay, secure your belongings »

Had my shoes stolen from pool area. A lot of rif-raf in and out of hotel in the evening, but not a reflection of the hotel or their team. Great beds and very quiet. Hot tub and steam room nice feature. Secure your belongings and you'll have a nice stay

    « Great hotel!! A+ »

We stayed at the Best Western for 1 night for a work function and it was excellent. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and very clean, almost cozy just like home. The bathroom is huge as well. Another neat feature is both the exterior and interior doors. You can drive right up to your door and enter off the parking lot and then proceed to the lobby through the interior door. We had rooms off the rear of the property and would definitely recommend for that extra bit of privacy. I believe they also have electrical hook ups in the rear lot which would be useful for an RV or boat.I wish they had a continental breakfast as the restaurant does not open until 7; we did try the restaurant for breakfast and it was very good..french toast and sausage!!

    « Overnight stay »

While travelling from Saskatchewan we decided to stay in Dryden. They had 2 rooms available and I was told that because I was a " walk-in" without a reservation and they only has 2 rooms left that I paid almost $20 more for the night than other customers. The room is ok, is a little dated and small for the price. The restaurant was good though. I travel this route fairly often but because of this ridiculous policy I will not stay at this Best Western again

    « Okay, Good for a Night. »

Travelling from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg is a long haul at night with three kids at the end of August. I had booked at this Best Western as it was rated #1 in Dryden. When we arrived it was well after midnight, and when we entered the lobby the music was loud as a wedding was going on in one of their convention rooms upstairs. When we checked in, the Front Desk lady gave us a coupon for complimentary breakfasts which I thought was nice. We found our room down a long hallway, and happily we did not hear the wedding music. When we arrived in our room, I called the front desk as I asked if the cot was going to be delivered for my third child. She said it was coming, she also said she made a mistake in giving us the breakfast coupon and that we were NOT entitled to use it, and NOT to use it. I thought that was extremely strange and poor hospitality on the part of the hotel. Being that there was five us of, the coupon was only good for three of us as well. Next morning, we went down to the restaurant, I showed the head waitress the coupon and told her exactly what the front desk had said. She said if Front Desk gave it to you, you can certainly use it. THANK YOU!!! Most Best Westerns we have stayed in the breakfast is complimentary. The food was good in the restaurant, and the waitress came around several time for coffee and tea refresh. Good service here! The hotel room itself, is starting to look a little worn. New carpets and curtains would help. I found it a little tight as well with a cot in the room. We had put the cot by the window, but there wasn't enough room to open the door if the cot was unfolded. The beds were very comfortable and had lots of pillows on it. I did like having the bathroom sink outside the bathroom. I like that. See pictures. Being that we were only staying one night, and leaving the next morning I wasn't going to book two rooms. I did like the big lobby, there is a pool, but the kids didn't have time to use it. I liked that we were able to park our truck and boat outside across from our room. The hotel is pet friendly, as we were bringing our pet cockatiel back home with us and they charged a pet fee. The restaurant was good, and there is a lounge as well. If you like full service hotels, I would recommend this one if you are passing through Dryden. This hotel is right on the Trans Canada and has lots of parking.

« Was Okay for the Nite »

Overnight stay in Dryden on our way home from cross Canada trip. Usually stay at Best Western so we were surprised to hear that if we used the BW discount, no breakfast was included with our stay. First time for that experience!! We were advised that because the discount was so substantial that is why no breakfast offered. However, the room was actually not so special to support the room charge without the discount! Bed was comfortable enough and the room was clean. Large screen TV with good connection for the free wifi. Sink area seperate from the bathroom. Large pool and nice lobby area. Express check out.

    « Superior Service »

Staff was super accommodating - rooms were very clean, modern, and had afew extras I wasn't expecting ( robe & slippers ). Jacuzzi was actually hot and clean & very relaxing pool area. Good menu selection and options.

    5
    « Wonderful hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for a week. I can't say enough about the staff here & how friendly they were. Everyone we met said hello as they passed by. We were so surprised when our included breakfast was not a buffet, but a full menu. As we had family in town we only had breakfast, but the service was great even though they were quite busy on the weekend. Nice, clean place to stay, big rooms with fridge & microwave. We will stay in this hotel next time for sure.

    « Surprisingly GREAT food!! »

B&B Roadhouse located within the hotel and conference center was responsible for this high rating. Even some 4-star restaurants ruin calamari leaving it chewy and tasteless. It's possible their calamari appetizer might have been the best I've experienced--tender and truly flavorful. While the lunches during the conference were average, the dinner entrees were superb. The hotel is well cared for--rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Service in all areas showed high standards and attention to detail.

    « Very Poor Communication/Payment Handling »

First of all, the service our family received from the hotel staff was fantastic- housekeeping especially deserves a shoutout for being awesome and adding special little touches to our room each day to make us feel welcome and at home. How this hotel handles payment, however, is another story entirely. We booked our weeklong August stay several months in advance through their website, expecting our pre-payment to be put through within a few days as usual.. Three months went by and suddenly without warning several hundred dollars was withdrawn from our credit card. Ah, evidently it was our pre-payment. When we called the hotel to inquire about the lack of communication, they were very dismissive. "That's just how it works." August rolled around and we had our enjoyable stay at this hotel- until our two year old spilled a bottle of gentian violet, our infant's thrush medication which stains horribly, all over the carpet. Yikes!! We apologetically informed the front desk, fully expecting a hefty bill for such a mess, but were incredibly relieved to hear we had only to pay a $75 damage deposit fee. A few days after returning home, though, we were hit with another fee- a few hundred dollars, again without any communication that a payment would be going through. And again, upon calling the hotel to inquire, the front desk manager (after rather curtly mentioning all of the trouble we had caused them with the mess) was very dismissive. "That's just how it works." Hmm.. Really? Because I travel quite a lot and have never encountered a hotel which handled payments so very poorly. It's a shame because, though we go to Dryden often and loved the hotel, we won't be putting ourselves through that hassle ever again.

    « Wonderful Place! »

This hotel is on the highway that runs through Dryden. It is very convenient and you can't miss it! Lots of little restaurants and fast foods in the area -walking or driving. The staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful! The room was very spacious, clean & excellent internet service. There is a restaurant & bar on site. The B & B Roadhouse served a wonderful breakfast, reasonable priced. The sever was excellent! I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely come back!

    5
    « Great Pool »

Our family was driving across Canada this summer and Hotels are an important part of that journey. We loved the pool and long hours and the breakfast filled us up before we hit the road again. If in Dryden on our return trip, we will stay here again!

    3
    « Convenient Location »

It was a good night. Extra $$ charged for our pet bird. No breakfast included. You can get a free bagged cold breakfast if you ask at front desk in morning. Or 20% off if you eat there. Easy access off Highway. Travelling through Canada.

    4
    « Just above average »

I would stay here again. Pleasant staff. The pool area looked clean and appealing but I never went in. My second meal at the restaurant was not as great as it was previously. Lots of parking. Clean halls and rooms. It's nice and typical as far as your mid class chain accommodation company goes.

« Love this hotel, just not the restaurant »

We love this hotel and it is our must stay at place when we are travelling through Dryden. The front desk staff were all fabulous, the room was really nice and the bed was SO comfortable especially after a long day of driving; I didn't want to get up in the morning. We had a room with two queen size beds. The only thing that was a disappointment was the restaurant and we will not eat there again. We went down for our evening meal, it was "okay", there was a problem with my meal but as the waitress never came back to the table we couldn't address it. Next morning we went down for the complimentary breakfast. Great selection, way better than most hotels complimentary breakfasts. Here again though the service, I ordered a waffle, a waitress (Ena) brought out our food and set it on the table I asked her for some butter for the waffle, she didn't respond just walked away. ? No idea if she was ever coming back with it or not. I went to cut the waffle it was so overcooked that when I put the fork into it (and I had to push) the waffle piece went skidding across the table. My husband called the other waitress, Lorraine I think, over and she took one look and said well that's not done properly. She was great. So while we're waiting for the new one Ena stomps by again, we asked her for some water, she literally slammed the glasses down on the table and walked off, again without a word to us. The fresh waffle came back done properly, Lorraine finished serving us thank goodness. The other woman was miserable with other tables as well. Not sure what her issue was but she certainly takes away from a great hotel. So stay at the hotel, maybe eat elsewhere?

« Good Hotel nice staff »

Hotel and room was clean and the staff was friendly the on property restaurant was good for breakfast.(we didn't eat dinner there) Close to everything in Dryden. It was a nice stop over on our way to the fishing lodge for the main part of our vacation.

« Great Hotel, Great Staff »

We stayed oat the Best Western Dryden Hotel and Conference Center in April 2016 on our way out west. We were so impressed with the clean and well equipped room, the personal and friendly service and the beautiful facilities that we went out of our way to stay there again on our return home three weeks later. This hotel provides excellent value for your dollar. We will definitely make it a point to return whenever we are crossing the country.

« Wonderful staff and management! »

Excellent place to stay! Front desk staff is always very friendly and professional as well as the management. Pool is one of the best! Rooms are very clean and maintenance staff are always very accommodating.

« great stay. awesome restraunt »

very nice hotel. the rooms are clean and up to date . the staff was very good. I would like to mention that there should be more than one desk person. we waited in a line for check in, our key didn't work so we went back down waited in line again. then to the pool but had to go to the front desk..... yep... in line again. I do commend the young lady for her patience with buzzers going off difficult customers and the phone ringing all at once and she kept her composure . a lot for one person to handle . the restraunt t was amazing and deserves an excellent review on its own, along with the staff.

    « Over-priced and terrible!! »

Incompetent front desk, horsing around with each other and joking that no one knows how to use the new software for checking in/out, very long waits. Room smelled strongly of cigarettes, two maintenance guys came up and said they didn't smell anything, they did go get a plug in air cleaner, which smelled like perfume. Large window leaked rain water onto the a/c unit, so didn't run that. Asked for a different room and was told they were full, not sure they were, just a cop out on the staff's part. Ate in the lounge, very busy, one waitress, trying very hard to keep everyone happy, but could tell she was getting frustrated, food was ok, prices very high for food drinks and rooms, guess they can get away with it in the middle of July, next town is 3 hours away. Stay in a roadside Motel for half the price, avoid this Hotel.

    4
« Clean, modernized and friendly staff. »

Chose it as it was rated high on trip advisor. I normally choose Holiday Inn Expresses but this hotel rated higher. Rooms were very clean, smelt fresh. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. They allow pets for a fee of $20 per night. The paid for breakfast was very good at the B&B roadhouse attached restaurant. The room is a little noisy early in the morning as there dont have sound proofing around door seams, you can easily hear guests coming and going and house keeping cleaning other rooms. Overall, a very good stay, would stay here again.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

Very clean- Quiet- Great value for the price. Friendly staff. The maintenance ladies are very friendly. Eager to greet me. They readily wanted to help me when they met me in the hallway. Also they quickly moved out my way when they saw me coming in the hallway and apologized if they did not move fast enough. I had an excellent sleep each night as the floor was quiet.

    4
    « Surprised. ..then a slight disappointment »

I called to book a room and was actually asked if we were club members. This, plus the pleasant check in explaining little extras that affords us was a surprise. Our usual BW never asks, never goes out of the way to make you feel like you are welcome. This hotel did...and then some! Room was clean and fairly large. The sink is separate from the washroom which I liked, especially with 4 people who need to wash up. My one disappointment was lack of plugs. The plug in the lamp was barely strong enough to charge my phone. The other available plug was behind the bed which is on a platform --so totally useless. I had to crawl under a table and unplug the coffee pot. Overall, I would recommend staying here based on friendliness, space, cleanliness and quietness. Just be forwarned that plug in spots may be limited.

    3
    « expensive »

The hotel is fine but most expensive Best Western we have stayed at including U.S. and Europe and doesn't even include breakfast at the high price !! You get a discount for breakfast in the restaurant, which opens too late and service too slow for early morning travellers. Also, we were very disappointed in the prime rib they advertise as a specialty....sadly, our "rare" beef was reheated and not rare.

  • 4
« Relaxing stopover while passing through Dryden »

This hotel is conveniently located right off HWY 17 (TransCanada), next to fuelling station and a few restaurants. We had a very peaceful and restful stay. All room and amenities were perfect. We were checked in promptly and the front desk called us an hour later to see if everything was good. Our room was on the main floor with direct access to our vehicle from our room. Only caveat is that the room rates are a little high for the value. If not for the price value I would have rated this review a "5". We did not dine at the onsite B&B Roadhouse Restaurant but chose to dine down the street at the Patricia Inn Restaurant for home style cooked meals and of great value. Don't let the exterior deter you. The food was awesome!

    4
« Comfort, cleanliness and courtesy »

We stayed here for two nights with no complaints. We had a ground floor room with an exterior door. Very convenient. Extremely comfortable bed/pillows. The room offers a mini fridge and a microwave - which is handy considering the generous portions at the on-site restaurant (heat them up for lunch). It also has a Keurig coffee machine and they have a variety of k-cups of both tea and coffee. The first day there were French Roast - mu husband's fave. Second day there was only breakfast blend; but a quick request to the front desk found us with a handful of French Roast. A great overall experience!

    4
    « Excellent hotel »

Excellent room. One double bed room reasonably priced. It's all we needed with it being just us and our baby who slept in a pack'n'play which the room had plenty of room for. The room was nice and clean. Nice pool to swim in after a long day of travelling.

    4
« Value of dollars spent »

The woman at the reception desk was pleasant and efficient. The hotel is clean, nicely furnished and in good repair. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked and was quiet. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

    4
    « NWOnt Travels »

The hotel was an excellent base for the time in Dryden. Especially appreciated the ground floor rooms with direct exterior access. The hotel was a pleasant surprise, and the dining quite good. The hotel was clean and everything worked as it should. The in-room wifi was easy and dependable and adequate for the needs.

    4
« Nice place to stay if your traveling thru. »

we were driving back to Fort McMurray from Toronto and decided to stay the night here at the best western. we enjoyed how comfy the beds were. we will defiantly stay here again when we are driving thru the country again.

    5
    « Always a great stay »

I stay here 2 nights each month and it is always a great experience. I prefer ground level on the west side of the building as it seems quieter and is also closer to the restaurant and lobby. The in room Kuereg machines they added recently are a nice touch. They also have coffee available all hours in the lobby for free. The morning restaurant staff are great, they remember me and make feel welcome every time I am in there. The food is great as well. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Dryden for business or pleasure.

    4
« Good Bed. Good Sleep »

I plan to use Best Western when I travel. I know the room is large and the beds are the best. The bedding is so comfortable that I don't want to get up. The breakfast has a good verity and the Staff are friendly and talk to you. even the cleaning staff say hello or good day and help if you need it.

    4
    « Training »

Stayed at Hotel one night. Have stayed here many times before. Each time it improves. Room was at ground level...modern, updated. Large 42 inch flat screen tv with variety of channels. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Only disappointment was lounge closed at 11 pm even though there were approx 11-15 guest present. Just think it's more of a Dryden thing....everything shuts down at 11 pm. Front desk employees were great especially Donna. Rate was very fair. Did not attend pool or restaurant this visit.

    5
    « Honeymoon Suite »

We had gone here 20 years ago on our wedding date in the suite that has a hot tub, living room area anduring bedroom separate. I would definitely recommend this room to anyone who wants luxury and service. I would love to return to this hotel and this particular room in the future

  • 4
« Excellent High End hotel »

This is a clean, we'll run hotel right along the Trans Canada highway with lots of free parking. The staff were friendly and professional and the hotel had all the ammenities. We enjoyed using the pool, hot tub and steam room along with having a great meal in the restaurant. There Is no continental breakfast, but there is a grab and go breakfast of juice, a muffin and an apple that can be picked up in the morning. Upon arrival we received a gift of water, an apple and a chocolate. The room had all one could ask for and was very quiet. We would stay there again. The only drawback is it is a bit pricy.

    2
    « "Pet Friendly"....I don't think so! »

Firstly, the staff was very nice. Now for the review. The room we had was too cramped. We had to move the computer chair every time we had to go out the door. Not a fan of hotels that have the sink outside the toilet area for sanitary reasons of course. The walls of the inside the shower area had significant cracks on 2 of the 3 walls, some repaired by silicone (poorly done). It states in their policy that they are "pet friendly", however their conditions arew: a) to keep your pet in their cage at all times (cruel), b) do not leave them unattended (unrealistic, we have to eat sometime) and c) keep them quiet (reasonable if the area is quiet). To make matters worse, there is no place on the property to take your dog to do their business safely, so I had to go across a road and into a field. Oh and there is a Helicopter landing area on or very near the premises, which is used daily. A nice fenced in area with grass...thought it was for the pets to do their business at first, but it was for the helicopter only. The whole area where we parked (in front of our door) was open to the landing pad and when the helicopter took off or landed it stirred up a lot of dirt/sand and dust. In the morning my black car was completely covered in dirt/sand and it also made it's way inside as well. Stay away from that side of the hotel. We were in room 130 and the noise level outside the door was frequently loud with banging doors, which continually spooked my dog...of course making her bark.

    5
    « Amazing Staff!! »

I am writing to express my gratitude for the exceptional service we received from the Best Western Plus in Dryden, ON. We were passing thru on route from BC to Borden,ON and on this particular evening we ran into a now storm. The roads were treacherous and the road was closed ahead, every single hotel, b&b, cabin, chalet....everything! was fully booked. There was a hockey tournament in town and others were stranded from the weather like us. Traveling with two young children we were desperate, we even offered up $200 to anyone who might have a spare bedroom. It was far to cold to camp out in the car. Linda Squires and other wonderful staff from the restaurant and hotel set us up in one of there conference rooms when no other hotel in town, and not even the red cross, would help. They went above and beyond and we were are so grateful for there kindness that night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

    4
« Wish we arrived earlier to enjoy more! »

We were traveling through Ontario and Stopped at BW for the night. After seeing how nice the pool and restaurant were, we wished we had arrived earlier! The room was very clean and nice. Great bathroom and tv. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good. Nice place.

    5
    « Best in Dryden »

Still a great place to stay in Dryden. Restaurant/bar pool etc. Caring staff at check-in. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Even offers a vacuum and window cleaner with paper towels to touch up your car. Very nice touch.

    5
    « Driving across Canada »

We stay here regularly on our way across Canada & will continue to stay here in the future. The beds are extremely comfortable & the internet works well. The restaurant charges for an excellent breakfast but would certainly be a plus if it was included in the price of the room.

    4
    « Will stay again »

Very nice staff and clean rooms. Terrific breakfast served at the restaurant in the morning. We weren't fussy about the evening room service food, but the staff definitely made our stay nice. We just wish we would have had a better selection of food for dinner and appetizers.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, great food »

Room was in great shape, hotel was very clean and all staff members we encountered were friendly. Ate dinner at the restaurant - highly recommended! Everyone in the family ordered something different from the menu and every meal was excellent.

    4
    « Nice family hotel »

Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Hotel staff very accomadating to our boisterous boys. Pool was a nice distraction for them as well. Restaurant was great and the wait staff there were seasoned servers who knew what they were doing. Clean, good sound proofing in rooms, washrooms a nice size. Buffet provided to us by hotel was bland though... Not impressed on that. Other than that, no complaints.

    4
    « Stay Here »

Clean, friendly, quite hotel, very professional and accommodating staff. Would definitely stay at this location again. Handy location right off of the highway however rooms were very quite with no street noise.

Room was wonderful, everything we need. Front desks was excellent and very well trained. Pool was great, kids had fun. Staff was all friendly, we will stay again. Restaurant service was very slow for the small numbers of people eating Sunday morning. That being my only complaint. Would recommend to everyone.

« Good Hotel for Business Travel »

I have stayed at this hotel two weeks in a row now (two separate visits). I have been greeted at the front desk with a gift (platinum member) which is a really nice, welcoming touch. Thank you. I have been given nice rooms in a quiet wing on the second floor - great for a quiet sleep. The rooms are clean and spacious with full couch, work desk, and comfortable bed. Coffee maker, fridge, microwave. Good size bathroom. The flooring and couch seem new - still have that "new-car" smell. Haha. The restaurant at this hotel is only okay - friendly staff but the food is not the best - not the worst either. I had steak sandwich (average) and French onion soup (well below average with little flavour and a process Swiss cheese slice melted on top of very soggy bread) but breakfast was fast and good. I'll stay again.

« Best Hotel in the Town »

This hotel is the best you are going to get in Dryden. You will pay for it but it has all the bells and whistles. The best pool hot tub and I believe only steam room in Dryden. The food is pretty good and the place is clean. Bed quality was #1. I am a return customer. In all my stays I had some noisy college students one night. But that was an isolated incident.

This is a very fine Best Western. The Staff for both arrival and checkout were very pleasant. The lobby is well kept and the room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast discount is included with the room and is very good.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

The room was clean and well stocked. Bed was very comfortable and I had an awesome sleep. Convenient parking with enough plug ins for all vehicles. Staff was very polite and helpful. Food in the dining room was good and service was quick. We used a board room for two days and had no issues. Will continue to stay at this hotel.

I was treated well by all staff at the hotel and the room was very clean. Have stayed here before and as always the service is A-one. Food at the restaurant and the bar is very good as well and staff are great.

    « Comfortable but noisy »

On arrival I first noticed the nice decor, strong scent of chlorine, and a couple of children screaming. This is understandable considering the pool is right beside the lobby. My partner was the one to deal with the booking, so I can't really comment on the additude or efficiency of the front desk staff, but we were granted a late checkout upon request. We decided to have our dinner in the lounge within the hotel, and found it to be enjoyable. The food was tasty and the staff was great. It's my understanding that the hotel had somewhat recent renovations, and it showed for the most part. The beds were very comfortable, with mattresses on the softer side. It seems like the bathrooms were missed in the renos, but they served their purpose. My biggest complaint would be how much we were disturbed. The sound proofing in this hotel is awful! We could hear people both outside of our room and on the floor above us. Around 11:00 pm I could hear someone vacuuming. The next day, we received both a call and a knock at the door at 11 am asking about what time we planned on leaving even though it had been discussed the night before with the front desk. Obviously they had not passed this information on to the housekeeping staff. I would possibly consider stay here again

« a great hotel to stay at »

We enjoyed out stay at the Best Western that has all of the amenities that we look for - restaurant and pool with hot tub. The staff are pleasant and courteous. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable. The service at the restaurant is great. Thank you for a pleasant stay for myself and my family.

The front desk staff, in particular Faith, were very helpful. I made a mistake when booking the room and chose two double beds. One person in our party is over six feet and we switched without difficulty to two queen beds. The front desk manager, Donna, is friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable. And the service in the dining room was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is very good and the serve staff try to accommodate substitutions.

    « Comfortable Stay »

We always enjoy staying at the Best Western Dryden. They are one of the better pet friendly hotels which is very important to us as we travel with our dogs frequently. The hotel has progressively improved this service, providing pet packs upon arrival which include a snap to leash container of baggies and treats. They have also increased the baggie "disposal" areas....that being said, we find that dog owners who stay there are not being responsible as witnessed by all the droppings in the large grassy area on the property. Pet friendly hotels are a huge courtesy...they don't have to offer it...please...if you are a staying at the hotel with your furry friend, PICK UP their droppings! Its just courtesy.

    « Friendly people here »

Probably the best hotel in Dryden Ont. Regular best western, clean, well kept. Not far from town center, but there's nothing to do if you don't have a car. To walk into town you CAN use the overpass walkway near the hotel, but be careful. I was warned by 4 different people at different times about the unsavory people who hang out on the walkway just to harass people. I actually sent an email to the Mayor of this town complaining about this situation.. You can see the people hanging out there, from the road. Other than that, this hotel in Dryden is fine, they have a lounge and a restaurant. The lounge staff are cheerful and fun.The restaurant if okay too. They have a pool, and the hotel is pet friendly.

« We had a family meal last year and returned again this year again - the food was terrific!! »

My wife and I travel to Dryden once a year to visit our family. During the visit, we all go out one night as a family for a meal. Restaurants are few in Dryden because the population is so small. However, our experience over the years suggests that the restaurant in the Best Western is a great place to go for a family dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing, and the service is good. For the second time in two years, we had ribs that were excellent (5 out of 7) of the family - the other meals were good.

« Good place to stay on a road trip »

Nice staff, good place to stay on a road trip. Rooms are on the smaller side, but are pleasant and very clean. I was traveling with a dog, and was happy at the experience as a pet-friendly hotel. Clean, with good spots to walk the dog on the side and along the back of the hotel.

« Great room, not so great restaurant »

Check in was fast and efficient. Waitress at the restaurant could use some guest service training as she made a face at a senior who was having difficulty with the debit machine and made me feel like an inconvenience when I asked to be seated in the corner rather than a table that was so brightly lit that it would have given me a headache. You could tell my app came out of a box and then was deep fried and my French fries were raw and cold accompanied with cold and lumpy gravy. Would stay again but will probably order pizza. On the other hand, the waiter working was more of a help than my waitress was. I think she just wanted to go home.

« Best Western Plus? No; definite minus. »

We're not sure where the Best Western Plus title comes from; self-awarded, I guess. My wife and I walked in and found the room was a cheap motel type dressed up in Best Western clothing. A lot more was expected for the offered rate. There is a restaurant, so no complimentary breakfast, apparently. There was a musty funk that was actually starting to irritate our throats, and after a look around we didn't stay. Front desk was polite, as was I when I returned the keycards.

    « Halfway There »

This is a great place to rest your weary head on your trips through the Canadian Shield. Located right on the Trans-Canada highway, it's ideally placed to breakup your trip. We had a room on the second floor and didn't even notice the semis travelling by through the night its that quiet. Not having any kids, we didn't use the pool, but it is there for anyone to use. Also a plus, is having a full service restaurant available. One of the best pizza's i've had in a long time. My wife had a hamburger and she loved it.

    « High quality service »

A comfortable sleep, I appreciated the light blankets on the bed. Some duvets can just cook you when you sleep. Friendly, genuine service at the desk as well as in the attached restaurant. Flawlessly clean. I highly recommend this hotel. Newer building with satisfying decor.
