Best Western Plus Columbia North East

I did not like it, lots of constructions workers stay at this hotel. parking lot is full with comercial vehicles. the rooms smells, the bed skirts and carpets are dark color, the elevators are slow and filthy, the towels look like they get wash with water only no detergent or softener. Frond desk staff are not friendly. Location to the base, for graduation is good and breakfast are good, but If you can afford to pay more and sleep in a hotel that offers cleanness and comfort do so, check the base recommendations for hotels online you”ll have happy stay. I do not recommend this Hotel.

We were there on a Saturday and were kept awake most of the night by sirens, cars racing up and down the strip, and a semi parked next door with his engine running. The room itself was fine for the price. Breakfast was underwhelming. Front desk service was good.

Would def stay again close to restaurants and shopping. Clean,convenient,and friendly staff. Was there for Dwight Yoakam concert that was only 10 minutes away. Will def stay again if we have to travel to Columbia again.

The cost of a room was a bit much compared to other best western plus. Staff was friendly. Few kinks but they were worked out. Clean rooms. Food monitoring made breakfast ackward. Overall decent night.

We drove to Myrtle Beach from Kentucky, stayed one night and stayed there on the way back. Great employees and the room was great and quiet. There was restaurants close by, we also did some shopping close by.

Hotel is convenient to where we needed to be for the weekend. There are several restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. There is also shopping nearby. This trip we did not eat breakfast, but we have stayed at this hotel in the past and the breakfast was very good.

The room was not well cleaned or maintained. The toiletry dispensers in the bathroom were broken. The HVAC heat seemed broken. There were stains on the comforter, and there were hairs on the bedding, towels, and in the bath. They have system/staff issues. We asked to change rooms. We learned that, while there were other rooms available, the front desk employee was unable to change our room assigned due to some sort of system limitation. They have billing issues. We asked for a receipt upon checkout, but the front desk employee was unable to generate one. Later, we learned the room deposit was accidentally charged to our credit card as a charge vs. a refundable deposit. When we called back about this, the charge was reversed. No apology though. After our stay, we contacted the property to note our concerns. No response. We also noted our concerns on a survey form sent by Best Western. No real response other than a simple acknowledgment. It seems this properties manager is having some trouble finding cleaning, maintenance, system support, and front desk staff needed to provide an OK experience.

We were travelling south and stayed overnite. Very friendly staff, price was right, room was clean and all amenities worked. The breakfast was a nice variety and even a server serving . We enjoyed our stay, recommend this hotel and we wil be back again

Awesome. This hotel will go out of its way to provide you with outstanding service that will keep you coming back to it. Its location is without a doubt, one of its best attributes. There are numerous excellent places to go to eat and there are several landmarks to see within a radius of less than ten miles. Its staff is its best asset, they will do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome.

Place is actually pretty clean. Don't go for the pool, bathtub is bigger! Was one of the most unsafe nights say I've come across. Just has an odd vibe too it. Lot's of people coming in and out that I'm not real sure were actually staying there as paying guests.

I travel quite a bit and this stay at this hotel was, by far, the absolute WORSE experience of my 54 years of existence. The woman at the front desk was the most rude, obnoxious, un-caring, unfriendly person I have ever had an experience with in customer service. From the moment I arrived she refused to make eye contact with me, she pain stakingly gave me my room key and just made ne feel like I was very unwelcome. When I got to my room the air conditioner dis not work at all,would not even turn on and it was a 90° day. The remote control for the television also did not work. I called down to the desk and was advised to bring the remote down to her and she would look at it. After driving all day and sweating in the room I was told to bring it down to her. There was also 2 other employees at the desk woth her so it wasn't like she could not leave to come see about the air and the remote. I brought the remote down to her and it did not work on the television they had at the desk either. Then she looked at me and had the nerve to ask me if the television was plugged in and that's probably why it didn't work. I explained to her that I turned the TV on manually so that was not the problem. I explained that my mom who is in a wheelchair needed the remote or I wouldn't have even bothered her with it but that I did want a room that had working A/C She rolled her eyes at me and said that "maybe" she could get maintenance to go look at it. I asked her if she could please just give us a room that had working air and TV. Again, she rolled her eyes at me and went to ask another woman who was there with her and at that point she reluctantly agreed to change our room out. Let me also say that through out this entire ordeal she never once looked me in the eye or apologized for any of it. After such a long hot day of driving and caring for an elderly woman and a grandchild I just wanted to cry after being treated this way. I then had to go and move all of our stuff and my mom in the wheelchair to another room. Not one person at that front desk apologized or offered to help me in any way. I am not a person to complain but if I could shout from the roof tops to everyone to avoid this customer service nightmare I definitely would.

Stopped at this BWP in Columbia, SC for the night. We asked cost of room for one night - $130. Then the clerk said “But we have a $300 deposit charge”. After we looked at each other and then back at the clerk, we left. That wasn't happening. The website for BWP said some could charge $75 - but $300?

Hotel is very clean and well appointed. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Material condition of the hotel is very good. Cost is very affordable and reasonable. Cleanliness is well above average.....we enjoyed our stay and will stay again if in the area.

So we stop there on our way from Louisiana to North Carolina. I have two children. It was okay. I'm just glad that the hotel room was clean, and it seemed safe. The front desk isn't overly welcoming. But overall I would go back there if I needed to. When I spoke to a representative on the phone about The confirmation of my stay, she was super nice. I wish that she was at the front desk whenever we came in. There was a gentleman right behind her that was just kind of looking at his phone, and didn't even acknowledge us, so I don't know if that was a boyfriend or something and they were fighting and she was having a bad time or what. Either way I'm not the type of person that thinks that they should be required to smile at us and be friendly. But from the hotels that I visited in the past, I'm just saying it's a super nice touch to have. Breakfast in the morning was good, but there was an attendant right in front of the hot food, that seem to be portioning it out. We don't really eat a lot for breakfast, but it's just a little awkward to have somebody right there portioning out what you could serve yourself. And I've been at hotels where the attendants were just taking care of the surrounding breakfast area. And were able to be super friendly and maintain relations between guests.

Very noisy room right next to the staff breakroom. The staff at this hotel needs better training on how the handle customers in a professional manner. During check-in there seems to be some traing issues with the new trainee as it took a long time to get us checked in.

I stopped by the front desk at 7:45am today, spoke to I think she identified herself as Joyce to verify my late check out that was authorized the night before. Lady from last night mentioned if I was down for breakfast or for any reason stop by and reconfirm late check out. Front desk lady ( Joyce ) bad attitude. Never enjoy people that exude enthusiasm or joy being the bearer of bad news. Overall attitude not conducive to the hospitality industry. Joyce's attitude did get a bit more positive after the manager arrived. I came back from work, asked to speak to the manager and her attitude definitely soften. Manager was busy. Needless to say I checked out and checked in to an IHG property the Holiday Inn Express 7329 Garners Ferry at 10am no less. Phoned and spoke with the manager via ph.. I was authorized for a late check out and it was written down. In the AM when I stopped by Joyce went on a mini tirade that people from the night before have no right to be given people late check outs. I stated even though I am Diamond, the highest level in your frequent stay program? No! No late check outs anything after 11 is a 50 dollar free. Thanks Joyce. There is a reason why I do not stay in "Beast Worst Ones". Joyce lady working at 8am Wednesday Dec 7th. Joyce needs to work night shift where her attitude is more suitable. Judy Corbett

Most of the female staff wasn't friendly. The male gentleman that works overnight was the most helpful one there. Had room problems and had to complain everyday for a week before my room was finally changed. Not recommended.

Clean environment, excellent staff, and overall great experience! I would stay here again. Ideal location. Overall fantastic customer service experience. I will choose this hotel again. I will tell my friends and family members about my beautiful experience at this hotel.

The staff at this location is atrocious! The manager, the attendants, everyone except one young black male attendant, everyone else was deplorable! This was the worst customer service experience I have EVER had at a Best Western. The property was clean and quite enough, but the dearth of customer service ensures that there will never be a return visit. Stay at your own peril!!

Stayed there two nights … second day when we came back to our room, I noticed right away our personal belongings were moved around and personal blankets were touched and made the hotel bed with my personal bed sheet that was not even done correctly. Trash was still left in room they didn't bother to throw it away didn't look like anything was cleaned by housekeeping just moved personal belongings around and try to fix the bed with my own bed sheet. Hotel also had a nasty smell, Definitely not coming back knowing I can't trust the housekeeping here. You can definitely find something better with same price range as this hotel.

Stay at this hotel last night , the hotel was ok , but it shouldn't in the category of “ Plus “ , it should only be called regular Western , NOT “ western plus “ . The property is very outdated , old , the carpet was old and dirty . The front desk staff was not friendly.

Best Western Hotels are generally nice and good value. However, if staying more than 1 night, make sure you ask to have your room cleaned each day if that's what you want. We were not told this. We had to ask for clean towels which were given within a problem.

Very nice property just off the interstate. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. My only complaint was the tub drained by slow, we were too tired once we checked in to say anything however one would think the cleaning staff would have got that corrected after cleaning the room. Staff was friendly and worked quickly to get guest checked in. We would consider consider staying here again.

Okay place for the night. We were only offered eggs and link sausage. I don't eat eggs and don't care for sausage links. The other members in my party eat eggs but did not care for them. The pool was very small so we did not use it. There were four small children in it and the pool looked full. It was about the size of a pool you can buy at Walmart. (Maybe about 12 foot long.) It did have a nice outdoor area by the pool to cookout. It did feel like a nice safe place to stay for the night. The night shift person was friendly and helpful.

Hotel was surrounded by plenty of restaurants. It was hard to chose what to eat. Bed was comfortable and staff was great. Having a microwave and small frigerator was awesome. Soon there is going to be a Chick Fil A next door.

My husband and I travel quite a bit. I have never had an experience such as the one we had at this hotel. As we checked in, for a 3 night stay, Saturday through Tuesday, we were surprised to see the sign advising no housekeeping services for multi night stays. Service was only Monday Wed and Friday, unless you only stayed one night. We made it own bed, emptied the garbage, switched out towels, replaced our toilet paper. We expected service Monday but came back that evening to still no service. Breakfast was poor. One by one service as explained by other guests. Desk person said that they were having trouble hiring. Desk person apologized but it's not their fault. So unacceptable. If I do was shared upon reserving we could have made a better choice. Place was not BW clean. And it wasn't because of renovations

We stay at Best Westerns occasionally, I doubt we would choose this one again. We reserved a King suite NON smoking. When we checked in and entered the room it REEKED of cigarette smoke (this is a non smoking hotel) . We notified the front desk and they immediately switched us to a cleaner fresh smelling room. PROS: Good hot and powerful shower, good location with easy on off of highway, comfortable room for the price, towels and wash cloths were ok, mattress was ok, (but slanted down noticeably at the head of the bed, pillows were ok. CONS; THE RIDICULOUS BREAKFAST SYSTEM. First of all when checking in they give you a breakfast voucher for your stay and each morning you present it to the woman in charge of the food line. This is a 2 person operation. 1 woman doles out the beverage and bread. My husband asked for 2 milks and she said we were only allowed to hae one each, so I got my milk for him. But then I couldn't have cereal because we had used our milk allotment. The 2nd lady was in charge of doling out the main course. I found this entire procedure distasteful, I hesitated to ask for another sweet roll for fear that that would be alloted as well. Housekeeping had cleaned prior to our letting the room, but there was no lotion and no facial soap. I went to the desk and she gave me some soap, but said they were out of lotion. Within 2 hours we used the last facial tissue and I had to go again to the front desk to get another box. At this time I mentioned that the soap/shampoo/conditioners attached to the shower were not functioning, we couldn't get the shampoo out. SERIOUSLY, is it asking too much for housekeeping to operate with a check list to make sure everything in the room was ready for the next guest? I do understand that businesses everywhere are having difficulty getting help but .............

Great location on our route home. Easy on/off from the expressway. Clean and comfortable hotel and room. Friendly staff. Several restaurants within walking distance from hotel. Would definitely stay here again when in the area or traveling through,

This hotel has potential. But the management and/or owners are not generous at all. We have stayed at well over 70 different hotels over the last year and this is the only time we experienced having to stand in line with other hotel guests and tell the breakfast lady which items we wanted. And there was certainly a limit on many items. So not only was it time consuming, but controlling and very insulting to all of the guests. Luckily we were first in line. Felt sorry for everyone behind us. Also, there was a sign in our room listing charges for missing items from management, only to notice our room did not have a hair dryer and the condition dispense was totally empty. So guests are paying for services that are not being delivered. Advise you to check alternative to this hotel.

We overnighted here on a group tour bus traveling from Pittsburgh to Charleston. Hotel was ready for arrival with easy key distribution. Rooms were very clean and hotel was quiet. Several restaurants in easy walking distance making it a great stop for us. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect location off of I-77. Soundproofing excellent. Good choice of restaurants close by, but be aware of short staffing issues, some take out only others longer wait times. Only real complaint was shower head and height of toilette (low)

It was a nice hotel. There are updates being done and we had a nice room and it was very clean. Very friendly staff as well. It was quiet and close to restaurants and gas. I would stay again when in the area.

Easy to get to and from I-20 or I-77. Several walking-distance restaurants. Made for a convenient stay when I visited Columbia, and I would use it when I revisit. Staff was quick and checked me in early (per request), and the food was hot for breakfast.

Our room was big and clean. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was decent. really no complaints about the room we stayed. The building is old but it has been updated and acceptable to me. The breakfast was not that great but it is free offer so we wouldn't complain...the coffee in the lobby was very good but the coffee maker in the room was not that great...there is train tracks near by and I heard trains twice at night but it was not too bad. Only thing I did not like was the hallway near the elevator on the 3rd floor smelled like animals... Overall we were pretty satisfied and we would stay there again.

DO NOT STAY at this best western! Booked this for an overnight business trip in Columbia and will never be back. First room assigned the toilet would not flush and there was a musty mold like odor in the room, so I was accommodated to another room next door. Upon walking into this one, the odor was worse, but since it was late at night, decided not to say anything to front desk staff. Upon waking in the morning and entering the bathroom, I found a used needle on the shelf above the bathroom toilet! Informed front desk staff of the issue and was offered 20% off initially, but was eventually given a full refund. This hotel falls well below the standards of a Best Western Plus hotel! Would recommend staying elsewhere if you are looking in the area

Great location, close to major routes and lots of restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was the best since COVID. Our room was clean and comfortable. The front desk folks were friendly and willing to answer questions.

My family only stayed one night while traveling to Florida but were very pleased with our stay. The front desk staff were awesome, the room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The only complaint is that the pillows were very small but they did the job. Would highly recommend!

I made a reservation earlier in the day, we pulled in during rush hour but were checked in quickly and efficiently. The property is well maintained, nice looking exterior, and a nice lobby area. Our room was clean and comfortable. I booked a two queen suite and the extra room was GREAT ! Everything worked well, nice bathroom and fresh smelling towels. Parking is a bit tight but enough room to park. Main road is really busy during evening rush hour, but moves along eventually.

We choose this hotel last minute for a family vacation. The property is newer and we stayed in an executive room since it had more space and extra sink. Plenty of space for our family of 3. Room was clean and almost new…smelled fresh and clean everywhere…there was a large group (football team) that also stayed one night we were there and they were the most respectful gentlemen…the area is a bit on the busy side but we felt safe and although it's not in a newer subdivision, this hotel surpassed all our expectations. There was a light breakfast in which a hard working attendant served us individually. The coffee is excellent. We have stayed at many brands of hotels and this stood out with its kind, professional staff, cleanliness and calm atmosphere. No one seemed rushed or stressed although I know they were short staffed. Great job! Only minor thing was to make sure you choose a room farthest from the busy street if you are a light sleeper…it was quiet inside however.

I arrived at 2 am the room was dirty found trash and empty water bottles on the floor. Carpet did not looked vacuumed. The next day we left all day and came back at 7pm and the room was never cleaned.

Great place. Have stopped here 5 or 6 times in last 3 years and never disappointed. Wonderful caring staff, clean, spacious rooms and easy check in and out. If you're traveling in this area, don't pass it by!

Beds were the worst, staff not understanding, or Asst manager. Went to see son in army and stayed there, won't again, tv didn't work cut in and out, pool closed, breakfast all microwaved, no sympathy for army families

Stay away from this hotel. The hotel manager refused to provide a credit for our prior earned $20 Best western travel card. The breakfast is horrible with the server (to hand over the prepackaged junk food items) coughing all the time without wearing mask. This is the worse hotel that I have ever been to.

The room was very clean, and the staff was all very pleasant. They did a good job of adapting to COVID when serving breakfast. The bed was comfortable. I did hear a train whistle at 5:15 am but it didn't bother me. I would definitely stay here again.

Super nice and knowledgeable staff. Rooms need a bit of an update but overall, a very good experience. Breakfast was OK and the internet worked well. Try to stay on upper floors as it is quiet up there.

I was Army TDY to attend classes in Fort Jackson, had to check outearlier because I was bitten several times in my arm, neck and face, I did not notice the first day but the third day. I report to the personnel and I was basically ignored, was to supposed to be there btw 11-17 Jul and had to check out 14 Jul. Very unhappy

I had a great experience at the Best Western in Columbia South Carolina. I was there for my son's graduation at Fort Jackson. It is close to the base, very nice, at a great price. I highly recommend it.

We loved our trip to the zoo in Columbia, SC. We were able to check in early. The pool requires a wavier, armbands and sign in time which was ridiculous. They did have pool towels and that was nice. Breakfast was easy and quick. I wouldn't recommend anything that needs to be microwaved…turned out tough and chewy. Staff was amazing!

Toilet kept refilling, shampoo dispenser empty, shower water only went halfway to shower faucet with rest staying at bath faucet, mattress squeaked each time I turned over, didn't honor reservation rate. Can it get any worse?

I always use best western they have amazing beds and the customer service is out of this world this very hard to find now a days I recommend staying here with family and friends because of the location

Hotel very clean, following Covid protocols. The staff very professional and courteous, I felt very comfortable with this being first hotel stay since country/states opening up. I will definitely recommend and come again.

Visiting our son who recently moved to Columbia. The hotel is clean, friendly front staff, surrounded by restaurants, covid precautions, quiet, convenient. Bottom line,I can think of no negatives. We will return. Oh, breakfast still offered there was someone to fix/give you what you chose

Check in and front desk were great, however late at night in the dark I was cold so I pulled the covers from the other bed in the dark. In the morning when I woke up I saw blood on the sheets of the other bed from a previous guest. Gross is all I can say. In these times there is no excuse for this.

Had read the online ratings but was a bit skeptical. The bottom line is that I should not have been. The room, value and the friendliness of the staff was top notch. I will stay here again if ever in the area. Highly recommend.

We stayed here one night on a drive home. We made the reservation online while having dinner nearby. We were impressed with the quality of the entire experience, from check-in to check-out. The lobby, hallways and room were all very clean. We felt the room was a great value. We will definitely look for Best Western Plus from now on.

We were in town as mysister passed and we have seen the hotel many times in our visits. This time we decided to stay at the hotel so the family would have more room. Everyone made a bad few days much more enjoyable.

We were moving from Florida back to Ohio. We had such a great stay at the Best Western Plus Columbia NE that we extended our stay for a second night. The staff was all friendly and kids enjoyed the breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay the rooms were very roomy and clean it was a excellent price for one night . I didnt use the breakfast service because the bed was so comfortable.. The parking lot was well lit and safe

Great location needs updated and cleaner linens and better quality in pillows cleaner roomsThey also need Wi-Fi codes that actually work and I also recommend that they do hallway checks because I had a neighbor who was smoking in the room and it was coming through my vents

My in-laws came into town for a last minute visit and the love the breakfast that was provided, even with the covid restrictions. Front desk is always smiling and greeting us. Truly making us feel like at home. Will always recommend this hotel.

We arrived after midnight due to travel delays and had to be buzzed in. Not the best area apparently. The front desk person told me our reservation was canceled but she would see if she can redo it. Now I have two charges (paid for the room online when I booked it) so waiting to see if the pending one falls off. The elevator and third floor smelled like weed. When I went to take a bath mold/build up (not really sure what it was) came out of the faucet and the shower head was just as gross. If it wouldn't have been so late we would have continued driving and found somewhere else.

The second floor smelled of marijuana throughout the hallways. We videoed a bug crawling across our bedding. Our vehicle was stolen from the parking lot 12 spaces from the front door of the hotel. They offered NO help whatsoever during the event. Would not allow access to video footage or to the owner of the hotel for help.

Very clean, staff efficient & pleasant. Clean room, felt comfortable & safe with measures put into .place due to COVID19. Good location with easy access to to dining, interstate, & downtown Columbia. Will definitely stay again.

I came to this hotel with my girlfriend to settle some arrangements for her father that passed away. The location was great but the hotel is outdated and in need of better pest control. Dead Palmetto Bugs littered the stairwell and I found a German Cockroach in my bathroom the first night. The compressor from the mini-fridge kept making noise. The bathroom also needs some general upkeep as the molding looked to be falling apart, the toilet bowl had a crack in it and it kept running causing my partner and I to be annoyed in the middle of the night. I'll take responsibility for the toilet bowl as I should've spoke up sooner so the repairman could fix it but it was something I just dealt with considering the nature of our visit. I wouldn't want to stay at this location again and hope this isn't a general representation of what I should expect at Best Western since my first stay at one in Florida was absolutely amazing.

Every time we stay here it is always great. Due to Covid-19 they are doing the very best and could not ask for anything less. There are some new restrictions and guidelines which is VERY understandable. Just simply ask the front desk and they will be more than happy to help. Thank you for all your hard work everyone.

I enjoyed staying there the workers nice the hotel was kept clean and they took the Corona virus serious and only let families use the pool 1 hour each the pool was kept clean and the grill outside was clean I can't wait to go back this was a great place to take family on vacation

Each time that we stay at the Best Western in North East Columbia we have such a pleasant experience. The staff is always friendly, kind and helpful. The beds are Soo comfortable and relaxing. I would definitely send family members and friends here.

This hotel is right off of the interstate and close to restaurants and businesses so it's in a great location. The staff (especially management) is very accommodating and will take care of your needs.

room was very nice, employees are great and helpfull. breakfast was good, and the place is easy to get to just about anywhere you need to go. freeway entance is less then 4 minutes away. parking was easy,

My room had a horrible odor, hot breakfast was a joke, my lock was falling off the door, the fridge rattled all night and didn't get cold. Luckily it was only for one night. Checking in the guy wasn't interested in my questions nor was he busy.

When I awoke in the am to make my lunch I discovered that housekeeping during cleaning threw away my food (jelly and bread) to make my sandwich that day. They also thew out my cold pack that I use to keep my food cool. Then when I went to breakfast the following morning as my toast popped up the food person wiped the toaster off and used that dirty towel to wipe my bread. I will never stay at this location again. When I reported same to front desk all they did was say sorry. No offer to replace anything very disappointed with this customer service. I asked for manager to call me and have not heard from anyone yet

We came to see wicked and stayed at this property and it was Great..Everything was so clean and the staff went out of there way to accommodate us..Breakfast beat any hotels I have ever been to..if r looking for a clean friendly place..you have Found it .

The staff were very accommodating and professional. I would stay here again when I am in this area. The breakfast area was clean and the offerings were of good quality and prepared well. The prices were very reasonable.

Fantastic hotel management. As well perfect rooms and grounds. Front desk was perfect. Truly enjoyed the stay. AM Breakfast was very good, very Keeto friendly. Exercise room was great. Finally. Work untill 12 middy, internet connection was great.

This hotel is in a great location with clean rooms and very comfortable beds. They also have a good continental breakfast and there are some great restaurants, like Outback and Hooters, within walking distance.

The hotel was very clean. The room was big but the bathroom was on the smaller size. They had a great selection for breakfast! The only problem I found was the parking situation. The parking lot is very narrow. It was somewhat hard for me to squeeze in between the lines to park, especially if there was a car on both sides. Other than that, I would recommend BW to anyone!

The hotel is located only 12 minutes from Fort Jackson and is convenient for families attending graduation of soldiers from boot camp. The hotel has been nicely updated. The staff is pleasant and recognizes your rewards membership status and offers rewards without me having to ask. There are coffee shops and restaurants within a 5 minute drive

When we arrived we pulled out the sofa bed and roaches ran.....there was hair in the shower. The desk was told and did nothing about it. Everytime we left the room staff turned off the air. Hello its 80 degrees outside. Leave the air alone

The place and room was spotless. The check in desk was friendly and knowledgeable. The bathroom and it's amenities were pleasantly surprising. The hotel was in a wonderful location. The breakfast was good had had a wide variety of.

I would definitely recommend this Best Western to other travelers. Check-in was so quick, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anything I needed was taken care of right away. Just returned home and before I forget to write, this location is a GREAT place to spend a night or several depending on your time. Super people at every location. The young lady who checked us in was Great. The room was very clean as was all the common areas. Hats off to the young lady who maintained the breakfast areas. She could not have done more to keep everyone supplied with what they requested and when she was not restocking the foods, she would clean the tables. Great choices for everyone. Sorry, we did not get her name but we were there on Sun morning, the 12th.. Hello management---GIVE HER A RAISE!!!. Don't hesitate to chose this hotel.

Very nice hotel. Easy access from highways. Friendly, professional staff. Large rooms with very comfortable furnishings. Separate area with counter, fridge and microwave. Large breakfast area with substantial, fresh choices. Also a good choice of restaurants in the area, many within walking distance. We would highly recommend.

Super clean room, comfy bed, awesome breakfast but poor water psi and hot water on 4th floor. The major problem is the drug addicted bums outside that harass you as soon as you park. He refused to let go of my door until I gave him money. I asked nicely for him to get away from my door and he refused. One of many reasons why I carry especially when my kids are with me. It took until I showed my handgun for him to leave us alone. This is a major problem here obviously as there were 2 individuals bothering people at 8am while they tried to leave.

Stopped on our way back from the Keys. Tired and weary we were made extremely comfortable...check in to check out was very nice and comfortable ...rooms were clean, had no smell and was quiet. Breakfast was about normal, eggs sausage, cereal, various forms of fruits and breads. All in all a very nice stay

The property is in an excellent location to interstates and looks great. Staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. AM breakfast was super! The accommodations were excellent had a great stay! A super place to stay and enjoy Columbia!

This was our second stay at this property and we would highly recommend it to anyone. Extremely well maintained and clean. Lovely place to be after a long travel day. Access from the interstate was easy off and on. Easy to find.

The hotel staff was very nice. The room was clean. The lobby was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was great. The attendant worked constantly to keep the area clean. She was attentive to guests who needed assistance.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There were good amenities and the front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. They provide menus for nearby food establishments that deliver. I stayed during the winter, so was unable to verify outdoor amenities.

Clean well run BW. No problems during stay. Clean rooms and good hot breakfast. Staff were exceptionally personable and helpful. Will definitely stay here again if I return to this area. In addition the location has a good selection of restaurants ranging from 24 hour waffle house to Outback steakhouse and Hooters. All were very good. Don't know why but the food in the South is always tastes noticeably better than up North.

First of all, Im willing to bet that a lot of people will choose to go here because they are unable to get a hotel at Fort Jackson (or closer) because of BCT graduations. You will see a LOT of people here just for that. That being said, I cannot say enough great things about the place. The location is very decent. While not that close to Fort Jackson, it isn't that far either. As a matter of fact, you can get here to there in ten minutes (or under as I tried to hehe) if you're lucky enough. The room that we got had one king size bed and one pullout bed, enough for a small family to be honest. It came with a refrigerator and microwave as well as a sink if you wanted to do some of your own food prep. The water pressure was great. Parking is easy as there are multiple entrances into the hotel. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is basic and simple but very satisfying to start the day off (the 24 hour coffee machine was welcome as well). I liked the fact that there were laundry machines on the 2nd floor which we found to be very handy. There is an ironing board/iron included in the room as well. The pool was closed so I can't speak on that but the exercise room was not. It was serviceable for what you need to do to get your workout in. There are also barbecue grills but Im not sure if they are usable. I guess you have to ask to use them. There is a Waffle House next door. Lizard's Thicket (gotta love that Southern food) across the street as well as iHop, Outback, and a bunch of other restaurants nearby. There is a gas station further down the road as well if you rented a car and perhaps need to gas up before you return it to the airport. All the employees were extremely helpful and courteous. If you need some food/snack items or sundries you can always get what you need at the front desk. Theres a business center on the first floor as well if you need to take care of some things. In short, if you need a great place to stay while you're in town, you will be in good hands should you choose to be here. Well done Best Western. My first stay at this chain was a very, very good one.

Rooms are large and clean. Very comfortable. Convenient location to most area attractions. About $15 ride to downtown Columbia for sight seeing. There are also several restaurants nearby if you want to stay close.

The hotel is in a great location. In between two interstates, I-77 and I-20. Also not that far from downtown!!! The staff are always friendly. The lobby and the rooms are clean. Breakfast is you are a typical Continental hot and cold style. But they change their hot meals everday so you can never get bored!! Can't ask for more.

Very nice stay. Rooms were clean and the bed slept well. There was plenty of room to spread out...desk and sitting area (small couch and chair) were put to good use. Room has mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker, and hairdryer.

Checked in here as my son was graduating from Drill Sergeant School at nearby Fort Jackson. Very quick and pleasant check-in. We were provided with directions to the base. Complimentary delicious cookies available at front desk. Room was clean. A few worn items - hole in the lampshade and furniture a little nicked up. The bathroom was too small. Lighting in the room was a bit dim. Beds comfy. Breakfast was good and lots of selections. Lobby was spacious. Good location. Restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.

Our stay at the Two Notches location in Columbia, SC was very disappointing with the bug incident and the fact that they could not provide another room for our family. We had to double up in the other family member's rooms.

Compliments for a really welcoming front desk staff. Helpful and accommodating in every way. Although this is a newly renovated hotel, it gives a worn impression. The public areas seem worn, and there is not a sense of cleanliness. The room, however, was clean, towels good, bathroom clean. The mattress was really soft and uncomfortable and needs replacement. Many other reviewers experienced the same problem. The oddest thing was the room itself. Half of the room was one step down from the rest of the room, rendering the room a poor choice for children, elderly guests or anyone with a mobility issue. Yes, there is a side rail, but the floors are the same color and the room dark. This renders the step down difficult to see. The window covering was inoperable. The breakfast area was clean, the food ordinary and the coffee was weak tea. Again, the staff couldn't be nicer.

The stay was comfortable and very clean, it was the odor of urine on the carpets inside and outside of the room. Other than that it was awesome. The entire staff that we encountered was courteous and always smiled .

Our stay the Western Plus was excellent. Our favorite part of our stay here was the breakfast, it was amazing! The helpful hints of the front desk was impeccable as well. They gave us tips on how to get to our designated area and what would be the best way to get there in a timely manner.

When checking in the lady (Tataina) was not very friendly. When we walked in she seemed to be distracted, in a hurry, and was very short with us to begin with. She contradicted herself several times (i.e.: we ask for a 2nd or 3rd story room, we would not like to be on the top floor that you have put us on. She, very hatefully said: "everything is on a first come, first serve bases. When we pointed out that it was only 3:12 PM and that check-in was 3:00 PM, she advised us that those floors were already full, but the customers had not arrived yet??????) Also, did not get a good nights sleep because of all the road noise, and we were in the middle of the top floor..... I will say everything was clean and neat! If was anyplace else that looked and felt like that, and we had not encountered such resistance when checking in, and was not as much road noise, I would be giving this local a 5 star rating instead of a 2)

Passing through and stayed at this hotel. Went out the following day as a matter of fact the entire day. When I returned that evening I just wanted to relax in a cleaned air conditioned room.Well to my surprise when I opened the door housekeeping had not attempted to clean room like making up the bed, trash, etc... Immediately I returned to the front desk and questioned staff. Housekeeping left a note that they knocked on door and no one answered well of course not I wasn't there. I spoke with the Manager the next day and she gave me some points

Great hotel and excellent staff and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was not as I have experienced in other hotels. Location is prefect in part to two major interstates are in the immediate area. There are six major restaurants in the immediate within walking.

The staff was very nice and the room very spacious. The bathroom was quite small but all and all, it was nice place. The location was close to most places a person would want to travel to. Sandhills Mall is close by and many restaurants.

Stayed here to drop my son at USC. This is a budget hotel so given that category it was clean. I usually stay at higher end hotels so I found the sheets and towels a little rough but very clean and what you get for the price. Would use again if I needed to for a night.

The price is a bit high for the quality of the hotel. Pool and gym are small for amount of guest Couldn't really enjoy the amenities due to to overcrowding. Should have security. My daughters were interrogated with questions by a weird man in the gym. He was trying to coax them into joining him at his room. He also asked questions regarding my 1 year old granddaughter who he didnt see with them so we were wondering how he even knew about the baby. Pull out couch need replaced. SFelt EVERY spring from the couch could sleep comfortably on it.

Location is right off the highway for easy access. Room was spacious (king bed with sitting room), staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK - typical eggs and bacon although one of the waffle makers wasn't working...would stay here again when in the area.

It started well, then turned for the worst. The water turned brown and we were unable to shower and/or use any water for a day. Rather than being offered a comp night, gift card, something.., we were told to just let it run. Also the shower gel dispenser ran out and was never replaced. Our same amount of towels weren't replaced, causing us to wonder if they were going to try to charge us for missing towels.

We had a family reunion due to a sad occasion. My mother passed and I needed a place to hold my family of 40 people with a small conference room ASAP. Not only were they accommodating but the hotel was great and the customer service was beyond outstanding. Thank you for everything during a very sad occasion. You guys made this time for us easy and stress free.

Great location right off the highway with many dining options nearby. Clean rooms, friendly staff and free breakfast. Room size was perfect for our family of 5, however the bathroom is very little. Pool was clean and very inviting.

I stayed for several days and liked everything close to a lot of places to eat. The room was nice and liked the breakfast they had fried eggs several days taste a lot better than the scramled eggs. They had a lot of choices. Parking a little tight. I would stay again.

Breakfast had a good selection to choose from. Coffee is 24 hrs. I love it!! Everyone is so nice and very helpful. Multiple restaurants so close you can walk to them. Can't ask for a better place to stay.

The hotel and everything was nice. Just the cleaning crew stole some items that was needed the two days I was there while we were gone to Fort Jackson for my brother family day and graduation. Now I have to wait till I get back to Michigan to get it all again.

Stayed here while visiting Columbia for a Fort Jackson graduation. The hotel staff was friendly and our room was clean. Unfortunately the pool was closed for upgrades so we were unable to swim. Breakfast selection and quality was more than sufficient. It met the high standards I have come to expect from Best Western properties.

Reservation made online. check in was flawless. Pleasant staff. Hotel is an older property but recently remodeled. Lobby and room were updated. Bathroom layout is a little tight. In room microwave and mini fridge were nice amenities and worked well. Bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. Breakfast offered bread, pastry, waffles, egg and sausage.

This was supposed to be an executive suite, the sofa in the room was a joke. The sofa cushion was two inches shorter the end of the sofa. If you sit on it the metal from the sleeper would hit in the back of the knee. The door to the bathroom hits you leg while using the restroom. Poor design. No mention online that the pool was closed.

We stayed at this large, excellent hotel while visiting Congaree National Park during the synchronous firefly festival. While this hotel appeared to be very busy, it was super quiet and the public areas including the front desk, lobby and breakfast room were large enough and well-staffed to handle the many guests. Like the rest of the hotel, our room was spotless, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with two queen beds, coffeemaker, microwave, mini-fridge, desk and a separate sitting area with a sleeper sofa. With free parking, a good complimentary breakfast and strong, fast Wi-Fi included in the very reasonable rate given the quality of the accommodations, this hotel is an excellent value.

Quick summary: very comfortable stay in a clean, quiet room with nice amenities. Good price value. Friendly, professional service. I base my evaluation on what I expect of a 3-star property. I've stayed at many 5-star properties, and this is not the Ritz, but very good price/value. Room #210 had two queen beds, very comfy mattresses, nice bed linens, many pillows. Very quiet room, even though the hotel seemed full. As with many BW locations (we belong to the loyalty program, and are generally happy with our stays,) there is a good chest of drawers and an open closet. This room has a sitting area with a sofa and chair, and TV that swivels for bed or sofa viewing. Good range of channels. Fridge and microwave. Coffee maker, iron/board. No in-room safe (most BW do not have this that I've been to recently. Good desk and outlets for charging your devices. Complimentary wifi works well. Bathroom has a tub/shower with good room to spread on the sink vanity. One complaint: the toiletries (shampoo, bath gel) are wall-mounted higher than what is comfortable for someone to reach in the bathtub. While I appreciate the eco-consciousness of not having all the little plastic shampoo bottles, PLEASE mount these so that a person taking a bath doesn't have to stand up and down multiple times to access these bath potions? (It could be a litigators dream...) Spotless housekeeping. Very clean. good HVAC. Good complimentary breakfast as seems expected at BW's -- variety of breads & bakery, hot dishes of eggs and bacon, cereals, juice, make-your-own fresh waffles.... Also as usual, weak coffee and bagels that don't come from a good bagel place, but serviceable, and I don't expect good bagels at most places outside of major metro areas. There is an outdoor pool that looks good, and a fitness center. We did not partake as we were just passing through for the night. I can imagine that any family who wants to keep the kiddoes amused would like the pool. Contrary to another review's post, there are some non-chain dining options if you go into town, which is a good idea. Convenient to HWY 20 and 77. There are a number of good restaurants in the area - check tripadvisor. So - a very good stop that lives up to Best Western good price-value standards. We'd be happy to stay here again. consider this a good base if oyu are visiting Congaree National Park. Strongly recommend that if oyu like this kind of stay, join the Best Western loyalty program. The reward scale is good, and oyu often get compimentary items like free bottled water and'/or snacks, or an upgrade, depending on the property.

The price quoted wasn't what we had to pay. However the room was really pleasant and breakfast was better than some. However why do hotels insist on using disposable etc. What a huge problem we are creating for the environment. I have travelled but this is the only country that continues to use plastic, polythene disposable goods in hotels. Come on get some crockery and get washing.

Check in was so easy. Staff was super nice and hotel itself was very clean. Breakfast was definitely delicious and very fresh. I really enjoyed the flavored water. I've never had that at a hotel. I highly recommend staying here.

I've stayed in plenty of pricier hotels and I have to say that this one was even better! The room was super comfortable, I slept like a log (which isn't normal for me) and even though most rooms were booked it was very quiet. Breakfast in the morning had a nice selection and the employees are AWESOME!

We have made the move to using Best Western almost exclusively for our stays and been happy with that choice. The convenience of location with this one will probably have it as the "stay here on the way home" location when we are servicing our cruise addiction!

Stayed one night when picking up my daughter from USC. Less expensive than staying in downtown ...and only 15 min away. Staff was extremely friendly. Room was clean and comfy. Free breakfast was same as I've had at any other hotel, nothing fancy, just right.

It was clean, no bugs, no odors. No dust. New updated fixtures. The area seemed safe. Just a business district area but with a lot of the nicer chain steakhouse type restaurants and hotels around. Breakfast area was a bit small but most are. The only reason I didn't give five stars us that Breakfast was typical hotel fare and nothing to write home about. But it was plentiful and workers attentive. Would definitely stay again

Best Western Plus almost never disappoints. This one is no exception. Very spacious room, very clean, with separate sitting area with sofa, which transforms to a bed. Had a very pleasant stay on our way to Florida. Good breakfast with plenty of options. Recommended!

we used 2 rooms, and they accommodated use to be close to each other. Customer service was great, even during a Tornado warning! CS went over our options and provided us with suggestions for eating, pleasure, and greeted us with a calm and pleasant personality.

Stopped for just one night on the way back from Spring Break with family. Easy access to freeways 26 and 77. We arrived at 1:00 am so we appreciated the well lit parking lot. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Stayed on 4th floor by elevator but halls were quiet. Kids liked breakfast, cold cereal, waffles, pastries, eggs and sausage, frech fruit. I liked the vanilla flavored creamer for my coffee. Only negative was when checking in. Very quick check in but there was an alarm going off outside in the furniture store next door. Very loud. I'm sure the whole hotel could hear. I understand it's not their fault but we simply asked the guy that checked us in about it and he didn't seem to really care. We asked how long it had been going off and if somebody was notified. He said he didn't know...and that was it. Maybe because it was 1:00 am and he was tired, but he came across as a bit rude and bad customer experience. Otherwise a good choice and a good price.

Family day at Fort Jackson military academy . My daughter graduated from basic training. I and my 2 daughters and granddaughter made the trip to see my youngest daughter 's ceremony and spend family day with her. She will continue on to Virginia.

The Best Western 7525 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC was Outstanding! The room was very spacious (King). The bed was comfy and the Staff was extremely and genuinely kind! If you're ever in need of a Great Hotel! Pick this one!!

Stayed here for just one night. The room I had was a suite with a King sized bed. The room was clean and large. It was a great value for a room that was under a $100 a night. The linens were nice, soft towels. The shampoo and conditioner were mounted on the wall of the shower in large refillable bottles. I like the environmental conservatism aspect but they didn't really work. The shampoo was nearly empty and though the conditioner was full, the spout was plugged and very little came out. Of course I could have called to have this fixed but I didn't find out until I was in the shower, a little late. The suite had a large refrigerator, microwave, couch and chair and desk. The area around the hotel was a little sketchy but not really unsafe. There is plenty of food within walking distance - Hooters, Outback, Fazoli's, Chili and IHop. The only issue I encountered was trying to use my BW Travel card. The check in person tried but didn't know how to apply. She signed me up for express check out but said I would need to come down in the morning to apply my travel card. It took a little while in the morning to straighten everything out. Also there was no mention of my BW status when I checked in or out.

Stopped for a brief stay and it was below average for price. The check in person was verrrrrry rude and could care less about customer service. Breakfast average and hot water in shower below average. Next trips we are going to bypass Columbia altogether and visit other cities. Do not stop unless you have cash to burn.

Very poor value I got fooled by the reviews. What can I say? No way is this hotel worth $100 a night imo and if you look at my other reviews, you can see that I've traveled extensively. Maybe $50. Musty and moldy smell upon entering. In the lobby, room , everywhere. As I entered my room, the floor was wet and the carpet was soak and wet. I called the front desk to tell them who replied ., Do you need more towels? The mattress was uncomfortable and in need of replacement, the second I laid on in, I knew it. I slept 6 hours after driving 10 and woke with a sore back and a stuffed up nose. The shower dispenser ( yes, for $100 u don't get a bar of soap) offered only drops of liquid. The room overall was dirty, worn and smelled of mold , like everything else. The breakfast was fair at best. Undercooked sausage and rubbery eggs like the ones u get at a fast food restaurant. Juice, cereal, waffle and coffee. Upon checking out, I mentioned the worn mattress. The attendant shouted., mattress check room 218 to a passing manager? Who smirked and said nothing.

Good location, restaurant options within walking distance. Clean and comfortable beds we were upgraded for free since we are platinum members, a nice perk! Breakfast was pretty typical..nothing exceptional but something to eat for most every taste before you hit the road again.

Hotel was clean, and there were no odors present. Hotel lobby was neat and clean and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance and hotel was close to main attractions in Columbia.

Overall a nice motel, but staff can't handle simple problems. Out toilet plugged. They refused to bring a plunger even though there were two people on duty, I had to get dressed to go to the front desk. Plunger could not be found. Staff had to search for it and bring it to my room, which they initially refused to do.

Rooms were clean neat and comfortable. Staff service excellent. Front desk lady was very courteous and helpful. Greeted with a smile . Lindie the manager was awesome. I had forgot my carry on luggage there and she has been instrumental in sending it back to me. They went over and above. Will definitely stay there again when i am returning back to canada from florida vacation next year!

We arrived later in the day on a Saturday. Hotel had availability and reviews seemed good. We were disappointed however. Our room had significant damage in 2 areas which, we were told the management knew of ( so why would you booked it out to guests??). I think hotels should offer a refund if the room is not up to standard. Housekeeping in our room was poor, and then to boot, no breakfast! It was Sunday morning and we headed down for breakfast at 9:30, only to see everything dark. We inquired and were told breakfast is over at 9:30. "Well, its 9:30 now, how fast did you pack everything up?" I might add, we are frequent travellers. Who shuts down breakfast BY 9:30 on a Sunday?... we smiled and then checked out!

There was a lot of traffic and noise outside of our room. Even people knocking on our door. I believe a large family reunion was going on. We understand that but it was very loud. Looks like they could have kept that party together in one area.

so it was very nice to be able to check in a few minutes early but finding afterwards about charges, you better be prepared. so not only did they charge my card for full room price, but at the same time I had a travel card for 25 to take off that and instead of taking off and charging my card that price they said I would get it after I checked out. So now I have to wait for a refund for that amount. Then on top of that they charge up to 300 for a hold for incidentals!!!!! Needless to say being a gold rewards member they only charged A $100 on my other credit card which is now also being held until it is released. this is nonsense. no where did it say anything about such amounts. the room was suppose to be an executive king suite if that is what you want to call it and hot water was also very scarce as well as toilet paper. very clean facility from what I did see but somewhat disappointed otherwise.

Fabulous hotel. Modern, clean and great bed. When traveling easy access off highway. Being a Best West platinum member we wete treated exceptionally. Front desk upgraded us to a perfect room. Love Best Western

With the exception of a clogged toilet. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely professional and pleasant to talk to. I'll be going back to this hotel in the near future. Thanks the the receptionist on checking in. She was a pleasure to talk . Her charm and wit was refreshing after a long work day.

If you need that place to stay for a layover on that long trip, or even the short one, this is a very good place to go. It is easy to locate, off and on I-77. Reasonable priced and good parking. Clean rooms and a very nice breakfast too. The staff were extremely friendly. Located near several eateries and businesses. It was a good choice for me and my wife.

This property is an outstanding value! Not a bad parking space in the lot. Facilities are kept clean and neat. The room was MUCH larger than I anticipated. Full size sitting area separate from the sleeping area. Bathroom is definitely a one-person-at-a-time set up, but that's not a problem. Would like to have that shower head at home. Internet access was easy and had a strong signal. Breakfast each morning had different main courses which was a treat. And it was good quality. Guest services was friendly and accessible. Overall, a very nice stay and I will be back when travelling to Columbia.

Stayed here because my wife was attending several days of certification courses. The place is very nice and there are several great restaurants nearby. My wife needed a place to do her online homework in the evening. The room was perfect and whenever something needed to be printed, they were very accommodating! Since my wife needed quiet, they allowed me to watch football on the tv in the lobby! The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable! Can't wait to go back for a personal trip next time!

Stopped here on our way to Florida for Christmas. Check in was fast and staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to eat upon request. The room was a queen suite with a pullout and it was updated and clean. Everything we wanted at the end of a long drive and just passing through. Friendly, clean and affordable.

The second day when our room was cleaned, housekeeping forgot to leave fresh towels but the front desk attendant took care of it. Only one of the exercise machines worked and there were no wipes to clean the equipment after.

This hotel was good for us. We had some issues checking in (No additional blankets available??), but otherwise a good stay. The hot breakfast was good quality and plenty available and fresh. Beds were comfortable. Wi-fi was good

Hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Easy to get on and off freeway. Close easy drive to Ft Jackson gate 4 for family day and graduation. Breakfast changed on daily basis which was nice. Several close restaurants can walk to.

We arrived at the Best Western about 6:00 in the evening. We were greeted nicely by the person on the counter. We registered quickly and went to our room on the first floor. We had stayed at an Econolodge the night before, but were surprised by the niceness of the hotel room, large and comfortable. The only disappointment was in the morning when I had to pay for my breakfast. That was a surprise. I've stayed at many BW's in the past and breakfast has always been included. Other than that, our stay was good.

Very dark room that has a terrible musty odor. The air conditioner doesn't work well and the bed is miserably uncomfortable. Absolutely no soundproofing so you hear everything in the halls and nearby rooms. On top of that, they charge $100 deposit without informing you.

We had originally reserved king suites for three nights but had to check out a day early due to the power outage from Hurricane Michael. The staff was friendly, the lobby was inviting, the rooms were clean. All in all, a wonderful place to stay! We will definitely stay again when visiting family.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is super nice and caring. They are fun to boot. The rooms are clean are spacious. The price is always affordable. You DO get what you pay for and this place is worth every penny.

The property is very clean and updated , the service is on par with other BW properties , and the room was very well stocked . The issue I had was that my room was at the far end nearest to the road and for my 2 nights stay I was awoken by a train horn blaring at 4AM . While this is definitely not the hotels problem I am writing my experience so others may be aware of this inconvenience . Also , this location is not near the airport so if you are flying in to Columbia expect a 20 minute drive depending on traffic .

Everything was great, the only complaint was some noisy guest in the middle of the night. Great rate, clean rooms. Breakfast was okay....the fresh fruit was not so fresh. The employee manning breakfast could use a refresher course in food handling safety...but overall it was good.

Since our daughter does not have room for us to stay at her apartment, we stayed here Sept. 28-Oct 11st. Lovely hotel a little bit difficult to get to from most of our trips. Good Breakfast & friendly staff.

While traveling during the aftermath of hurricane Florence, I was unable to keep my reservation. I called corporate to cancel the reservation and was told that cancellation had to take place 24 hrs. before the reservation. When the facility's manager learned of my situation, she immediately took steps to credit my bank card for the full amount. She did not have to do this as the cancellation policy was clearly stated on the reservation. I cannot comment on the facility itself, but the management's traveler centered attitude is surely reflected in the facility's offerings and treatment of guests.

One night only to attend boot camp graduation ceremony. Lovely lobby, fast check-in. Room 615 was very nice with a king bed, big screen tv, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, separate area with love seat (bed), chair and coffee table. Good wifi connection. Hot breakfast was typical. The rate was discounted as we were attending the graduation. Location is surrounded by lots of eateries. Staying here is convenient to Fort Jackson and only about 15 minutes via interstate.

Extremely well cared for. Beautiful spacious rooms. We attended Ft. Jackson graduation and were told breakfast didn't start until 6:30 so we were able to fix it in our room. The next morning when we went down to leave breakfast had apparently started earlier. Wish we had seen it posted somewhere. No hot tub which we travelers need. Pool was outdoors but nicely cared for. Our receptionists on each shift always greeted us like family. Wonderful visit and would definitely stay again.

A few different types of hairs found throughout the shower in THE most obvious of places such as the ledge you step over to get in. Come on cleaning!!! This is a big problem for me, all i want is a clean room. Pretty obvious the shower was not cleaned. Have to wonder what else was not cleaned properly on the dark carpet and such!

This Best Western is very, very nice. All the comforts of home are provided. Will stay there again. The breakfast was outstanding and plenty of choices were available. The room was very nice and comfortable,

We were happy with the room. The new remodeled bathroom is very nice. The hall is nice and clean with a beautiful carpet. The beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. The only issues that we had were that the elevator stopped between floors for about 30 seconds and then continued up. We also could not use the Internet because it was too slow. I called their tech support line but they were unable to fix it. We either could not log into the BW guest portal or we had to wait for 3 minutes for a simple page to load. Had the same issue on 2nd floor and in the lobby. Tried the Internet on 4 different devices with no luck. It is still not working 12 hours later.

There was a lot going on and the hotel staff handled everything with professionalism. I overheard several situations while sitting in the lobby in which the desk clerk had to be the barer of bad news about things that were not the hotels fault and it was handled calmly and they came up with solutions. Things go wrong and this staff seems to want to make it better which speaks volumes to me. The pool is small but crystal clear, breakfast included the typical self serve waffles, yogurt and breads with hot sausage patties and poached eggs. Housekeeping was swift and did a great job and the lobby is spacious and comfortable enough to meet people in. My experience was great for this class of hotel.

This hotel was not far from Ft. Jackson and was also close to Restaurants and stores. I enjoyed my stay! The staff was really nice. The only problem was that one of the elevators was out and the wait for the elevator was long; other than that, all was very well. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious!

Hotel was in a great location, just off the interstate, 15 minute drive to downtown Columbia / USC. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom a little small but did the trick. Breakfast was slightly below Hampton Inn freebie breakfast quality, but was decent. Cost was much cheaper than hotels closer to downtown Columbia & USC, overall a very good travel bargin. We're going to be back in August for USC move in day.

I checked out around 10:40AM and 10 mins later I remembered that my camera was left in the room just behind the TV. So I called the hotel around 10:50AM , drove back immediatly, at that moment the front lady told me my room has not been cleaned yet. Around 11: 10 ,we came back and the front desk lady told me the housekeeper did not see my camera....so I checked again and the room is cleaned already and my camera is gone! They keep saying that I misplaced the carema in somewhere else , so I checked all my bags in front of them and the police checked my car as well! I asked them to show the vedio and the owner say my room is in a blind spot, so they knew that it can't capture anything even before they show the vedio to policeman. They owner say the hotel did not take any responsibility for the lost item, and he is very defensive. He said he trusted all his housekeeper as they have been working there for many years. However , when we checked out , there is a housekeeper who is working around my room, and she even don't know where is the ice machine!! So how can a person working there many years and don't know the ice machine is just beside the elevator?! They owner repeated many times that they have return many items which is more expensive like iPhones . My camera is very new and cost me 500 dollors , so it is not cheap!! The owner's attitude is very annoying! He try to make you feel that it is customer's fault and the hotel did not do anything!! Watch you personal items and stay away from this place!! They won't feel any sorry about any bad thing happen to the coustmer and all they do is try to run away and make some excuses!

We had to change hotels at the last minute and stopped in to Best Western. Amanda (front desk) was very friendly and helpful. The room was great: clean, fresh and comfortable. We'll stay there again next time we visit the Zoo. Happy

Friendly staff, typical hotel breakfast, and plenty of it. We had a long wait at check in and got assigned to the wrong room (we were supposed to be in a "suite"). But management was very responsive and moved us quickly to the right room. That said, the rooms are just a little dated. It's probably time to see it get some work.

This is a plus BW that has all the requisite features While there was a modern bent towards the design, it was basic, lower-end quality finishes & furniture. Microwave, frig, in entry area. Clothes closet w/door, full length mirror on wall. Separate reading lounge area divided from bed & dresser area had a 37" LCD Tv Lighting okay but dark areas made seeing clothes or reading books difficult. Generally efficient space plan. Bathroom was very cramped/small though it had a faux marble vanity. Dark, narrow corridors leading to room. Good bed, shower okay but cramped. Breakfast sub-par in quality and variety. Desk person & patrons had a funny vibe. One lady tenant appeared to be on some dope like herioin.

We chose this hotel because it had rooms with two queens and a pull out couch. Traveling with four kids, we try to find rooms that fit six to avoid getting two rooms. The room was very spacious, although it made for a very small bathroom. The air conditioner worked great. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Check in and check out were very quick. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast. Cleanliness in the room was okay. The shower could have been cleaner and the pull out couch had dirty sheets when we pulled it out. The price was fantastic and for the single night, it was a great stay.

The Front Desk agents who were there at night time check in were not that friendly. Almost as if they had their guard up waiting for a confrontation when all I wanted to do was check in. I already had my reservation. I think they were reacting to the woman in front of me who had asked what the rates were. She thought the rates were too high and left. Breakfast was not great. Eggs were greasy. Did like the Vitamin water though.

I stayed at this hotel five nights ago and had a good experience. This evening was a nightmare. When I arrived, I signed a document and forgot to read it. After I handed the document to the attendant, I realized I wanted a copy of the the document to read what I signed. The attendant refused to give me a copy. He did hand it back to me to let me read it. When I went to take a picture of the document, he said he would call the police if I took a picture of the document. I took a picture. He called the police to escort me out. The police came. I explained what happened to the police. While he made the police wait several minutes, I made the decision to leave the hotel on my own because of how I was being treated. The police stayed with me while I tried to find another reservation. I was shaken to my core because of the treatment I received. Who calls the police to escort someone who simply wants a copy of a document? Do not stay here.

Arrived in 92 degree heat. Was glad to find this Best Western cool and clean. Exceeded my expectations except for breakfast. Good restaurant across street. Too hot to visit pool. Very quiet, clean and comfortable hotel.

Coming home from a long trip. Chose this hotel based on previous BW hotels. Was not disappointed. Staff were helpful. Room was nice. Sleep was okay. Room could be darker but I feel that way about every hotel room. Breakfast choices were average. Good value.

We travel to Florida each year and Columbia is our halfway point from Pa. This was the best yet in Columbia. Very clean, staff was great and for a continental breakfast it was surprisingly solid. Rooms are new and clean. If there was one complaint, the pool was closed unbeknownst to us. That's the only negative if there was one. Also, just a side street over is Chili's, IHOP and Hooters. Great location and a very family friendly hotel. A+

Comfortable beds, very clean rooms and a free full breakfast, and free hot chocolate chip cookies. What's not to like? We would have given it a 5-star rating but the freezer in the small refrig was thick with melted and refrozen ice and could not be used.

The Best Western Plus hotel in Columbia, SC is one of the best hotels in which we have ever stayed. It was very easy to get to off the interstate and check in was made easy by the very friendly and efficient front desk personnel. We did have one problem with the internet password not being correct, but we were tired and didn't pursue the correct one. The room was a little on the small side, especially the bathroom, but it was nicely decorated and everything worked. One of my major complaints in hotels is the poor lighting in the bathrooms. Not so at this Best Western Plus hotel. The best thing about our stay was the very restful sleep we had on the extremely comfortable beds. The bed was covered with a sheet and lightweight cover. It was just right, not like the heavy, bulky comforters in most hotels. Breakfast was the normal hotel complimentary hot breakfast with few choices for those of us who have to be gluten free. We will definitely stay here again when we pass this way.

I have not stayed at a BW recently and was pleasantly surprised. The property was nice. Our room was clean and fairly spacious. The breakfast selection was nice and the food was decent. The front desk staff was very nice. It is close by lots of restaurants and easily accessible off I77. If I had to complain at all, it was the bathroom. It was very tight and the air conditioning was a bit louder than other properties I have stayed at. Otherwise would definitely stay again.

We came for Army basic training graduation and the hotel was close to post, which was nice. We had to add a room and a night at the last minute and it was no problem. Parking was a little tight, but there seemed to be enough spaces. Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was wonderful! Everyone was kind and professional.

Stayed one night with family for popular high school sporting event. Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bathroom was dirty. Found several black hair on floor and around tub. We are all blondes. We were told no other rooms were available, nor offered a cleaning, and my husband was handed a bottle of air freshener. Seriously. At least they were nice, however poorly equipped to handle customer service issues.

There were very few problems during my stay. Everything was clean and orderly inside of the room, anything we needed to find in the room was easily accessible, but it would help if there were better directions to find the elevator, but that's probably because i needed something less subtle.

Very clean and comfortable motel, spacious rooms with good beds( and pillows too). They offer a good breakfast with lots of choices, not over priced at all. Staff was very friendly at check in and check out.

While I like to try new places to stay, it's sometimes easier to go with what you know is good. No surprises here, it's as good as it was the last visit. Plenty of parking, easy check-in and check-out, friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed with loads of pillows. Great shower, lots of towels.

After driving 14 hours, 8 of those in pouring rain I made my reservation online. We went and checked in after the checked in they refused service they don't accept emotional support dogs. I had a notarized letter from my doctor and my ID card and they still refused service. It is a shame in today's world a company like this would discriminated against the handicapped. I call Best Western Corporate they said that they are independently owned and there is nothing they can do. SHAME ON THEM!

I booked a 2 night stay back in January for the weekend of March 23-25, 2018 through my Score Rewards travel program with points earned. I have used this service many times in the past and never encountered a problem. Upon calling this hotel to inform them that we were running late due to traffic, I was informed by the front desk associate, Chris, that our reservation had been cancelled. He stated that the credit card used to book was declined and that they were unable to reach the vendor. In the course of our conversation he informed me that the hotel was completely booked, as well as other hotels in the area, due to the many events that were happening in Columbia that weekend. I called Score Rewards to find out how this happened. They called back with a tracking number and informed me that the reservation had been made on their end. They offered to find us another hotel in the area, but we weren't sure about another hotel and decided to skip the stay. I gave Score Rewards the phone number that Chris had informed me he called about the credit card decline and it was not a number associated with their service. Since I had reserved this and another hotel at the same time through the same Score Rewards program, I don't understand how one Best Western had no problem with our reservation and this one said the card was declined. Sounds fishy to me. After traveling home and thinking about this situation, I went online and found that rooms were still available at the hotel for weekend! I feel like the hotel dropped our reservation because they could get a better price for the room due to the high demand for that weekend. We will never stay here and will tell others of this experience.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Columbia SC. The room was nice and quiet. I was able to study and rest without being bothered by others. I took in breakfast the two nights I stayed there. It was ok for free breakfast.

We went to Columbia for our Brandon's graduation from basic training at Ft. Jackson. This hotel was fairly close to the base and was very nice and reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and. Had plenty of room for visitors from our other family while he was able to be off base.

We needed a place near Fort Jackson. We had lost a family member and the funeral was there. The hotel was spacious and welcoming. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and very quiet. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you to the whole staff.

Typically not a fan of Best Western as I feel the chain is on the lower end of quality hotels. The photos and rate on booking.com convinced me to take a chance for our 3-night stay. The lobby is open and contemporary. Friendly front desk staff. Room was spacious and clean with contemporary furnishings. A/C unit clean (a pet peeve of mine), mini frig, coffee maker and microwave in room. King bed comfortable. Side table lamps have outlets for easy charging of phones. Breakfast buffet typical. Good Douwe-Egbert coffee! Easy walk to Outback Steakhouse. Wifi good. All in all, would stay here again

In town for BCT Graduation, this hotel is 15 minutes from Fort Jackson. Breakfast was not appetizing, we made it work though as we had to be up and out early. Staff was great at checkin but not prompt in addressing what I would consider a safety issue (only one working elevator and it was covered in a spilt beverage) we eventually had to scrunch in a corner after waiting some while for it to be attended and it wasn't although brought to the front desks attention. Alot of food options nearby, would stay again if I had to. I chose this location because of the lower cost option for cancellation in case my soldier didn't graduate.

No hot water, spoke with 2 different people, and nothing was done. Beds were comfortable, room was clean but if you can only get cold water it ruins the whole experience. 1st person said sorry, hotel is full so probably cant keep up with demand ... 2nd said rooms ending in 4 take a while for water to warm up... well after 15+ mins and still icy cold water, thats an issue for me

The room was quite large, bed was comfortable, nice area with small fridge, micro and sink. Everything was clean, but the bathroom was quite small and the carpeting a bit worn. The breakfast was pretty good with enough healthy choices, but I wouldn't say it was any better than average for hotel breakfasts.

Needed a one night stay for a morning meeting a few miles away. Best Western Plus has earned my business the past couple of years and this location continues the quality and value I've come to expect. Very friendly staff also.

A clean well-appointed motel wonderfully convenient to routes 77 and 20. More importantly, a delightful welcome from Von. He was upbeat and engaging. Sought the specific room type requested and was careful to provide the best rate.

Excellent, friendly and accommodating staff. Good pillows, quiet room, modern decor with really nice artwork, very clean suite that had everything we needed....even walking distance from an Outback Restaurant! What can one say! As McArthur said "we shall return"!

This is a great conference center. We almost felt lost in the lobby it was so large. The hotel was great service and friendly. The staff did great at accepting our Service Dog, Darby is a small working dog and everyone wanted to play with our working dog.

A friend and I were heading from PA to FL, and around 6:30 pm our families started frantically calling us about an ice storm coming up the coast and its nightmarish effect on travelers. (We knew there was a storm, but having 4WD and being northerners, we thought "No biggie.") We were in SC, and decided we'd better hole up for the night. We realized we were in trouble when we could not find a room anywhere! We were both on our phones trying to book online, watching rooms vanish before we could click on them! Anyway, we made a good decision--we back-tracked to Columbia after finding a room at the Best Western Plus. Let me say we were resigned to staying at a dump as we were so desperate to stop for the night. This place was the opposite of a dump. We felt we made a good choice the moment we entered the lobby. It was calm, quiet and spacious. The desk clerk was so friendly (wish I could remember his name) and kind enough to even laugh at our lame jokes. The room was tastefully decorated and spotless. More importantly, it was quiet. Of course, you could hear loud people in the hall if they went by, but that's anywhere. The beds are on platforms rather than springs, but they aren't bad mattresses, so the beds are okay (on the firm side but not too hard). The pillows were fluffy (a little too squishy for me personally), but fine. There were lots of pillows and plenty of towels in the bathroom. No complaints about the bathroom--cleaner than many motels. (I read another review saying the toilet was too close to the sink...C'MON...it's a roadside motel, not a vacation resort! If that's the only complaint, you've found a good motel.) The breakfast was very good. They kept refilling all of the foods. There were a lot of tables , which was nice. (Again, another reviewer complained there was only one meat, but geeze, it's not Cracker Barrel; it's a motel lobby!) I would definitely stay here again; in fact, we may just plan our trip around spending the night here next year since it's hard to find a good motel on the road. I am the type who can always find something wrong, so when I tell you a place is okay, you know it's pretty darn good.

Traveling home on weekend and it was getting late. stop for the night. would stop here again. Everything was in order and the accommodations were nice. Give it a try if your in the area and in need of a room. Clean, comfortable and a pleasant staff.

Stay here every year on the drive south. Always reliable stay with comfortable beds and quick and easy check in and departure. Breakfast is a bonus. Close to the highway and choice of restaurants are beside hotel.

This is a well appointed motel with a friendly staff, clean rooms, and very nicely decorated. If ever in the area again, we will be staying here! Easy access off of I77 with many restaurants near the motel.

The hot water took approximately 15 minutes to get hot at the sink not the shower.(room 407) The bathroom was too small. he toilet is too close to the sink. There only room in the bath for one person.

This hotel was good overall. The location is great. Several restaurants are within walking distance and it is just minutes from Ft. Jackson. The breakfast was not so great. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed in Columbia on our way back to Canada. This one was really nice, the staff were most friendly and helpful. The room was large and well decorated. I like a firm bed and firm pillows, these were great. Breakfast was quite satisfactory and hot. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I love entering a hotel lobby and finding a welcoming sight of comfortable chairs and a fireplace burning warmly. Next is the scent of the hotel as one moves through the halls. This hotel was clean and smelled clean. Entering a clean room after a long trip is also very important to me and is calming. This BW hotel did not disappoint.

This was a fantastic place to stay with my family. We got a 2 Queen suite and it was the perfect size for my family with having a pull out sofa as well. The room was very clean and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay I have had better in other places but it was not bad just very simple. I would stay here again if ever passing through.

The hotel was conveniently located and the parking was good. It was relatively clean, a little worn in the elevator area but the room and lobby were nice and clean. The TV remote was worn with one button not working and the internet cut out regularly which was a bit frustrating. The bar fridge left a puddle on the floor at the door which we just put a towel on to soak up the water since we only stayed one night on our way home from Fla. Overall, it was acceptable and we would probably stay again.

Convenient off I-77. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location convenient to several different dining experiences including fast food. Suite was well furnished and bed was pretty comfortable.

we were travelling from Florida to Canada. This BW was conveniently located, had good restaurants within walking distance, great parking, and good rooms. The staff were helpful but not pushy. The hot breakfast was a good start to the day. Staff were knowledgeable of the area and asked just enough question to provide us with suggestions tailored to our wants and needs.

Staying here was great because it was very convent for the surprised birthday party that we came into town for. Staying here was very good because it was clean, spacious,the location was good as well. I like where the hotel was sitting as well as the convenience of not having to drive far to get to the party I was in town for.

Have stayed here 4 times now to visit daughter at USC. Great value for a short stay. Other reviews have mentioned beds are comfy. We have the opposite opinion. The mattresses aren't comfy at all and feel very cheap. Maybe it's because we've switched to memory foam at home and these mattresses are inner spring. They could use more padding. Hotel is still a great value for the price.

Excellent staff at check in which was late at night and we were very tired. The clerk offered us to park and come back and she would have everything completed when we came back, and she did!. The check out process was quick and easy as well. They had excellent breakfast choices and it was well stocked with fresh choices. The beds were comfortable. Only problem was housekeeping were lax in cleaning the washroom.

Me and my daughter went here for her boyfriends Army graduation. We stayed at this hotel because it was the closet and I have always stayed Best Western hotels. The 1st night we checked inn and the towels are all stained so we asked for new towels which was brought. Then my daughter pulled the bed sheets back only to find stains and black kinky hair on the sheets. So they gave us a nicer room. We go to this room only to find stains and black hair on my bed, and stained towels again.So now it's too late too find a new hotel because every place was over booked. The next night we come back to the room just to find they never changed the sheets at all. So we asked for clean sheets and changed them ourselves. So I talked to the manager and she was very polite and apologized. She offered for us to get anything out of the snack case and drinks which we did. But said she could not give us any money back, which I still don't understand. There was one gentleman I believe Matt was his name he was very nice and polite, However the other man there was very unfriendly. The breakfast was horrible, The eggs tasted almost rubbery, The bacon was ring bacon which was also rubbery tasting. I would never go back to this place. Check your sheets people. Gross and disgusting place.

We stayed here for one night and we thought the room was clean and very spacious. The guy at the front desk was not very friendly. Maybe he was having a bad day, but eye rolling a customer on the phone when you are in front of other customers isn't a good look. Other than that, we thought everything was nice and we are glad we stayed here :-)

Great hotel, great location, very accommodating for 6 people clean and very friendly staff. I think it had a heated outdoor pool. Would stay again and looking forward to more best westerns. Excellent rates for water what you get!!!!!!

The room I had was very spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the bathroom was extremely small. You can't step out of the shower with the bathroom door opened. If they would have taken a bit of space of the room for the bathroom the problem would have been fixed and the room would have still been spacious enough. The hygiene was very average. I found a cleaning cloth hanging over my shower rail, which was still there when I left after 3 days. Also a glass of water was left at my bedside, but used as a waste cup for a beer cap and some other waste, which I found disturbing. The service at the check in was very professional and also friendly. Parking is good and close and the airco works fine. Breakfast is rather disappointing.

Everyone was very nice and it was easy to check in. Easy check out. Rooms are very cozy and nice. Nothing to complain about. Very nice for a family getaway and it is in walking distance to eat. Right off the interstate which makes it very convenient.

We started to myrtle beach for a week and had enuff points to get a free room, so we left a night early and stayed at this best western. BW is our favorite places to stay. We will definitely stay at more BW's in our future.

I was very pleased with my stay at this Best Western. Check in was very smooth and I have to thank Matt. Getting to my room was a breeze. We had the King bed with the pull out couch, my daughter slept of the pull out couch. My only complaint about the room is that the beds were a little to firm for my liking, other that that I was pleased. The breakfast was good, my daughter loved the waffles and getting to Ft Jackson was very easy. I was very happy with my stay and I would stay here again.

I rented 2 rooms for 3 nights each for our son's boot camp graduation. For $85 per night per room they were really good. The lobby was clean and staff for the most part was attentive and nice. Our rooms had the king bed with pull out couch, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The rooms were clean and spacious and a great value for the price. Check in and check out was very fast. One thing we really liked is they had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in dispensers on the shower wall. On Thursday evening I walked down to the lobby and since nobody was in there I asked for the remote to the big screen TV to watch the Bengal vs Texans game. The only negative expedience was the ice maker broke and when my wife reported it the response was "someone moved the sign." No other info was offered by this particular staff member. Other than that our stay was great! We were pleasantly surprised because the building seemed a bit older than we usually stay in. Overall, clean, friendly, and a great value.

Easy commute to Ft. Jackson. Very nice restaurants in the area - we went to Tazza Grill and had a nice dinner. Hotel was very quiet. The breakfast was great - lots of selection. The hotel was crowded due to the graduation, but it was easy to get to and easy to get to Ft. Jackson.

I was less than impressed with the facility. The room was dirty, hair on the bed, fake eyelash on the outlet! Dust in every corner of the room. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Hallways were dingy, it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. I would never stay there again.

At check in the attendant appeared a bit rude concerning knowledge of make and model of auto but after getting past that the lobby was very roomy and nice. The two rooms we reserved were above expectation, clean, large and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. No inside pool and a very small outdoor pool noted. Breakfast was the usual routine offered by most.

Room 205 Roach in bed crawling on my wife's leg. Roach climbing bathroom wall. Marketing scam with multiple nights booking requirements along with inflated prices for Eclipse weekend. Upon arrival night of 20th Aug 17 now available for one night only at twice the expected rate. Pool is the size of a small personal residence pool with no accommodations for infants, toddlers children versus adults. Breakfast understaffed with limited hours.

The place was very clean considering the hotel was fully booked. The pool is very small but the fitness room had 2 treadmills an elliptical and a bike. All working! Breakfast was the worst ever. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our stay at the Best Western has been one of the best stays. It was very clean and the clerks were very professional. We felt welcomed and relaxed. We were a family of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids) and because of the space (2 queen beds and a pull out bed) there was enough space to accommodate us all in one room.

The rooms and facility were very clean, the staff was attentive and very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near a lot of restaurants and the Sesquicentennial State Park. It is a perfect overnight hotel.

I setup my reservation online before checking in. Once I showed up I was told there was no reservation but did receive my room cheaper than my reservation. All was well until the next day I realize I was double charged for my room. Once from my reservation and once from front counter.

After another hotel chain badly botched our reservations that had been made for two months. We contacted Best Western , they were kind, considerate And very helpful. We were made very comfortable in our well appointed guest rooms. When I travel I must had a great bed to stay rested...they delivered, very comfy!

This is definitely a nice, safe, clean, hotel to stay when a way from home. The staff was very professional knowledgeable. The rooms was very clean. The internet work well. The bathroom had plenty of towels. I liked the convenience of the body was soap, shampoo, and conditional installed in the shower. The A/C worked great and controls were easiley understood.

Excellent hotel, a great location, just off the highway. Tatiana was very helpful and friendly, the staff are friendly and helpful. Was recommended the Lizard Thicket right across the hotel, an amazing restaurant, the food is great and it is across the street so you could walk across the street to the restaurant. There are a numbers of other restaurants right next to the hotel so you can walk to them. A really good parking lot, parking is easy and there are cameras everywhere. We booked 2 rooms on our way to Disney and we stayed here again on our way back from Disney. I would definitely stay here anytime I am in the area. This hotel is definitely Best Western quality.

Stayed here as a pit stop between Virginia and Florida. As Best Westerns go, this one was very nice! Beds and pillows were comfortable, and the rooms were well-appointed with mini-fridges (that were actually cold!) and small microwaves. We rented two rooms on both the trip out and the return trip, and all 4 rooms were as described here, and clean. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodated our request that our rooms be near each other for each stay. Breakfast was fantastic, and included hot eggs and sausage patties, as well as a Belgian waffle maker, which worked perfectly! Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was satisfactory, nothing really great or terrible. The beds and pillows were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Everything else was OK. I cannot say that we will stay here again. I would have liked the room to be a bit cleaner also.

The service was EXCELLENT. Staff provided options for dinner and made an great suggestion. Beds could be a little more comfortable and the bathroom could use a little update but all in all was nice. Only problem was the internet would not connect with my android phone. I didn't call the front desk on this issue because I was only staying one night and could access it on my nook.

Arrived around midnight, had booked online. Felt a little uncomfortable when the front door was locked and I had to press a button for someone to come from the back to let me in. I understand safety but how safe am I as a patron standing outside in the late night waiting on someone to let me in. Once allowed in they were very nice and quickly had me checked in as well as offering me my extras for being a Platinum member. The room was very comfortable unlike many hotels where you must turn on the air upon entering. Clean bathroom but could use some updating in there. Great mattress and very quiet allowing for a good nights sleep. Arose too late to try the breakfast. Check out was quick and simple.

I had no issues I booked my room through trip advisor. when I checked in my room was available immediately, I was advised of the pool breakfast times and the fitness room. I enjoyed my stay the staff was polite housekeeping knocks were very low made me feel like they weren't really trying to take care of the room which was fine because we had plenty towels, I would have liked the sheets and blankets to be changed once during my stay. I would revisit this hotel I have chosen for this to be where we stay when we come to Columbia.

The front desk clerk was so unprofessional and failed to explain to me what she needed to charge my card for. I had already paid online and she said that I didn't pay. She begin to cry historically in front of other guest.

Staff was very friendly. I stayed 6/14/2017 and there was road work in the front of the hotel. Work was done over night and it was very loud with trucks running most of the night. If work is still going on request a room in the back of the hotel if you want to sleep.

I am traveling by motorcycle with my wife and we need good accommodations & decent eating within walking distance. This hotel meets our needs and is very clean with friendly staff and food close by. My wife was happy, therefore I am happy, therefore stay here and be happy.

Nice hotel is a less than attractive location in Columbia. Room was large and very clean. Great shower and nice thick towels. Desk lamp was very dim and useless. Fitness center small but clean with machines in good working order. Breakfast was awful. Scrambled eggs extremely dry ( at 6:30 am when breakfast opened), coffee was a bad instant. Breakfast room not up to the very high cleanliness standard of the rest of the hotel.

With many hotels to choose from in this area we selected the Best Western Plus for the great breakfast options and value. This hotel has undergone an extensive remodeling from inside to outside, and it looks awesome! We stayed in a large king size suite option and it was everything we were looking for and more. Friendly helpful staff upon check in and location turned out to be centrally located for everything. Easy ride to the Columbia Fireflies new stadium as well. So if you are looking for a great value and clean updated hotel, check out the Best Western Plus.

If you are anything but white do not stay here you will get racial profiled by the staff Christopher and his manager Lindy. They will accuse you of smoking in there room and charge you a smoking fee. SMH

We travel through this area once a year and have stayed at several different hotels. This was the best we've stayed at by far. Clean. Nice beds and shower. Fridge. Close to interstate exit, but quiet. Restaurants within walking distance across a parking lot, including an Outback. Perfect choice for this traveler!

Stayed one night while traveling through the area. Spent $100 with tax for a large room with a king size bed. Very comfortable bed and the room was very clean. Recommend this place if you are traveling through the area. Only complaints is that the hotel is located right across from railroad tracks. Got woken up at 4am to sounds of a train going through. Secondly, apparently a Department of Defense ID card is not an acceptable form of ID at check in. Clerk asked for ID which I presented my DOD ID card. He insisted that I give him my drivers license.

Best Western Plus is a great brand for the frequent traveler. The 2 Have stayed in were new and very nice for the price. It was quiet and the staff was very attentive. I would stay here again. The room was clean and the bathroom was also.

Check in process was a disaster!!! The receptionist was totally wrong! The receptionist took my payment but he wouldn't give me a receipt! All that I could of known that he could of took my cash and said that didn't paid!

Stayed there for my son's graduation. Very clean room, great staff, Great Italian restaurant 4 miles down the road. Good breakfast buffet, would like to see water and milk available to drink, and a few more hot items - potatoes-bacon-, but certainly not a deal breaker. Bathroom door is very close to the toilet, might be hard for larger folks to get in there.

This hotel was recently renovated and is Really quite nice at this price point ($105/night). I would compare this particular location to a Hampton with lower quality breakfast. The Wifi was just OK but I only noticed it on video streaming. Desk staff was great and I was with a group and they went out of their way to help accommodate us. Even mailed items I left in a drawer to me!

The front desk was very helpful with any items we required. She told us about restaurants in the area with her recommendations. She also told us to help ourselves to plates from the breakfast area when they didn't supply our dinner with them. The whole letdown was finding gum and crackers stuck to a second tv controller under the bed skirt when checking for any of our items in the morning. We lost our expectations of any other BW stays including our booking in Barrie Ontario on the 5th of May.

The room was clean but the road noise was very bad! The comforter smelled like chemicals... when asking questions to the host at the desk he had little to say and made you feel like you were bothering him

I make this trip frequently from Sarasota to Cleveland going the Eastern route and had never chosen Best Western before 4/23/17.what an extraordinary experience. The facility was immaculate, comfy beds friendly staff and delicious brkft.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms clean and hospitality great. Restaurants close by you can walk to them. Easy access off I 77. If staying in area for a while there are lots of family and couples things to do.

We were extremely tired when arriving. We appreciated the hotel clerk's suggestion when asked about dinner choices in the area. The Lizarad Thicket Restaurant, across the highway, was within walking distance and we enjoyed the meal at a reasonable price. The hotel was rather new and the accommodation was very comfortable. The bathrooms and bedding were extremely clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was standard fare for this type of lodging I would highly recommend this hotel..

We stayed here for graduation at Fort Jackson. The hotel is close to Fort Jackson and numerous restaurants. Good location. The hotel is average, breakfast was adequate. My sleep comfort was not good the beds were hard and the bathroom was very small.There is a small workout room which I did not use. There is also a small outdoor pool which was not open yet. We left very early in the morning the front desk attendant gave us a to go bag which was nice touch.

My sister and I had a reunion at this hotel recently and both of us were mostly happy with our accommodations during our stay. Our room was pretty clean and check-in was a breeze. The front desk, housekeepers, etc. were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free breakfast both mornings although the eggs were not the best I have had. There was a large variety including hard boiled eggs, either fried or scrambled eggs, sausage, muffins, toast, pancakes or waffles (make your own), yogurt, fresh fruit, peanut butter, instant oatmeal and grits, and cold cereal. Coffee was available 24 hours and was very delicious and perfect. There was also fruit juice and flavored water. We reserved a suite so we would have more room and it was nice to be able to spread out some. The only complaints I would mention are that the toilet ran and the bathroom was small. We used the microwave and mini-refrigerator during our stay and both worked fine but the freezer needed defrosting as it was filled up with ice and therefore, there was not a lot of room for frozen items. The tv was a fairly large size flat-screen and there were plenty of plug-ins for charging our phones. I do suggest that larger trash cans be placed in rooms for those who eat in their rooms, but other than that, we were very happy with the cleanliness and appearance of the room. The automatic body wash soap, conditioner, and shampoo on the shower wall was very nice although it was empty of conditioner while we stayed. We had plenty of towels and washcloths and never lacked for them. The beds were comfortable enough and there were plenty of pillows for both of us. The elevators were a little slow, but nothing to complain about. It was convenient to places we needed to go and the hotel was not far from some restaurants, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. We stayed on the 5th floor to avoid the ice machines (which were on the 2nd and 4th floor). We heard the train at night, but nothing that was exceedingly annoying. We both enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel a lot I mean a lot of times now the Hotel is very clean and the employees are nice and friendly the breakfast is very good but the hotel is in need of new beds the mattresses are just to darn HARD NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL

Nice hotel little overpriced add a plus and charge more money not worth it. It was a clean place. Enjoyed the stay, next door to outback. Breakfast was good checkout easy. Only drawback was evening desk guy very rude didn't like being there I guess everybodyhas bad days.

One of he nicest Best Western's I have stayed at. Staff courteous and friendly. Check in was easy. Convenient to highways and to downtown Columbia. Stayed over night and left early so we did not try the breakfast. Clean and comfortable.

The decor is very elegant and welcoming, especially for a Best Western, but it does include the PLUS in its name which apparently increases the level of amenities. Rooms are spacious and very modern; service is friendly and accommodating. I slept extremely well but my wife found the mattress quite firm.

After working all day and driving 4 hours to my next destination, I was extremely disappointed when I finally crawled into bed at 1 am only to find disgusting dirty sheets on the bed. I called the front office and was told if I wanted new sheets I would have to go downstairs to get the sheets then strip the bed myself. When I got back to my room and started making the bed, I realized the new sheets weren't even the correct size, so once again I had to go back down to the front desk and get another pair of sheets. I understand that there was only one person working and they couldn't leave the front desk unattended, but I really didn't appreciate having to run around the hotel in the middle of the night to fix up my bed that should have already been clean and prepared for me prior to my arrival. I was not pleased with the lack of customer service nor the cleanliness of this hotel.

Great place to stay. Easy and accessible to get to from charlotte Douglas airport and to get to augusta to watch the masters. We had a room with two Queen beds, the room was clean, the hotel was clean, breakfast was ok but you could go to the numerous restaurants just outside the hotel if you need breakfast. friends with us stayed on the bottom floor and said that the only issue they had was one of the entrance doors by their room would be opening and shutting through the night making a constant noise. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I booked this hotel last minute when the one I had booked did not work out. While the location was not terribly convenient to where I would be spending most of my time, it was a very pleasant experience and I would stay here again.

The executive king suite is very cozy and roomy. The amenities and breakfast were great. Very quiet and comfy beds too. Staff is friendly and room was clean! I could've stayed a week but had to move on. I'll definitely return!

The hotel was nice. Bathroom is somewhat small if you are traveling with others particularly small children. They have washer/dryer on the premises which was nice. There was no indoor swimming pool or hot tub and the outdoor pool was closed for the season. Other than that, we had a good stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

Was I town for my sons graduation from army basic training at Fort Jackson. Hotel is about 3 or so miles away from Fort Jackson & budget friendly. Just be aware that if u have a family in the room they don't have extra blankets.

My family stayed at the Best Western to attend a military graduation at Fort Jackson. I chose this location because it had lots of food places in walking distance or short drive-- Chili's, Outback, Lizard's IHOP. Also it was about 5 miles from Fort Jackson. The hotel suite with queen beds was clean, comfortable but a little tight. It also had a sofa bed. The breakfast was typical serve yourself with pastries, waffles, cereal oatmeal and depending on the day- eggs bacon or sausage. No restaurant or bar but it had a small gathering area with a TV. The front desk staff was great. I booked through travelocity with cancellation so it was about $120 a night without taxes -- my brother got a king suite (much roomier and on the corner) for about $100 a night through booking.com.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The staff was very courteous and even helped us with directions, the free breakfast was very good all three days we were there. The room was clean and very comfortable. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the lack of lighting. All the lamps were in corners leaving the middle of the room and the desk a little dark. There were six restaurants within easy walking distance (the same parking lot) ranging from Outback to Waffle House so we never had to venture far for dinner.

The room decor looked like it had been recently updated and was very pleasant. The room was clean and the bathroom which is private and does not have the vanity sink area outside the bathroom (which I look for) was also maintained well. The biggest negative is that the hotel is across the street from the railroad tracks, need I say more. Luckily the train only went by a couple of times once at 12:30 am and again around 6:30 am. Also the breakfast was below par with premade eggs which were rubber, bad pancakes but did have normal breads and pastry.

This was one of my worst hotel stays ever . It " appears" to be a nice hotel but its not . I was given the key and directed to my room . I opened the door and the room had not been cleaned . The bed was unmade and there was dirty linen in the bathroom . The desk clerk on duty during my stay was cold and stern . She surely doesn't make you feel welcome at all . That is not the worst part . I was accosted by a strange man at the pool area . This hotel is not a secure property especially at the pool . They have an unlocked gate that anyone can enter and go in the pool . Also , when someone enters the pool area there is no escape . There is only that one gate and you are trapped . I was very shaken and upset and I went inside to report the incident . Instead of caring about my well being , the clerk started asking questions about my being on the property . I reported it for a very important reason . I do not want anyone to experience what I did . They do not have adequate security or cameras on site . If they did this kind of thing could not happen. When I went inside to report it I asked the desk clerk ( the same rude lady ) the internet password because I was upset and needed to email someone . She said I had checked out and she couldn't give it to me . I was appalled . I was in a very dangerous situation and all she cared about was hotel policy ! How cold and uncaring can a person be ? I was sent an email asking me to review my stay which I did . I received a very cold and hateful response from the hotel manager . Her name is Lindy and she should be fired for her attitude . Her reply to me was accusatory and she blamed me . She showed no concern at all for my safety nor did she apologize for anything . I have never been treated so badly as I was at this hotel . I hope people will take the time to read this review because this is not a safe place and the employees don't care if you are attacked or not ! Furthermore , this was the weekend of a big football game and they doubled the price for all of their rooms . This is called " gouging " and its illegal . This hotel needs NEW management and nicer , caring people . Please do not stay here . They don't deserve your patronage .

Clean accommodations. Not exactly sure what the "plus" indicates but believe this one was a bit pricey. We needed a place to rest after 10 hours driving north and this was sufficient. It was however very crowded with teenagers participating in a local track meet the next day. Luckily the chaperones (adults) quieted them down in the lobby by 9 PM.

An aggressively rude and insulting desk clerk was my introduction to this worthless hotel. He studiously ignored me while tapping away on his computer. When I said "Hello", he replied with a scowl "Hold your horses"! Immediately upon entering the room assigned to me I checked the air conditioning (it worked) and the TV (it didn't). This was disappointing as I had planned my trip so I could watch the second half of an important (to me) football game and the World Series. I called the front desk to report the problem and the clerk replied "Too bad". When I protested, he said "Tough luck". I asked to be moved to another room; he said "No". I asked to be allowed to check out, he said "No". I asked him to call a repairman, he said "No". In each case, I asked "Why" and his response was snarling rudeness, So, a long night in a silent room (no radio either) with the world's smallest bathroom and an inedible breakfast earns this dump an honored place on my list of all time worst. Too bad, because I generally find Best Western to be a bit worn but very friendly.

Rates were rather high for the basic room we had. Room was usual hotel room. Breakfast was usual continental options. It was located close to I77 which was convenient for us. The woman at the front desk was very cheerful which was nice after a long day in the car.

Needed a place to stay for the night after driving 10 hours. Was told there were no rooms. So we used the restroom before we left and when we came out was told a room came open but the cost was $200. We had paid $89 just the week before in Daytona Beach, FL and the room and hotel was much nicer. Can't understand the high cost. I would have paid it but my husband was tired and needed to rest.

I was expecting more from this hotel because of the reviews on this site. The hotel was nice and it was the nicer Best Western than another I have stayed at. I think this is probably the best hotel in this area. However, the area wasn't great and I could hear the trains passing early in the morning. If I was going to stay in Columbia again, I would pick a different part of the city. My largest complaint is that they did not have any pack and plays/cribs for use. I don't know if I just assumed they had them and overlooked this. Fortunately, this was a stop on the way home from a longer vacation so we had something for my son to sleep in. I was very surprised that a large chain hotel would not have any for use. Overall, it is a good choice if you are using a Best Western gift card (like I was) or have to stay in this particular location. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Stayed here on our trip to Florida. Hotel is very nice and room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was typical continental with no frills. We did have a problem trying to get our $50 voucher promotion for 2 stays. Had to call main office & finally got it resolved.

This property has earned its reputation. The staff were great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, breakfast was good. Many times a review will give the positive and then say..."but." I have no "but," nothing negative at all. My kudos to Best Western Plus Columbia North East!

I would have given it a 5 if it was slightly more modern. We were there during Hurricane Matthew and although the staff were very busy they always remained incredibly helpful. Tatiana and her manager went out of their way to help everyone. If you want a good value clean hotel then this place works. They don't have a restaurant or bar but across the road and an easy walk you have the Outback Steak House and a couple of similar places

We spent four nights at the Best Western Plus in Columbia after a mandatory evacuation order forced us to leave Myrtle Beach. The service we received from Tatiana and her manager was second to none. They allowed us to check in early with my nervous and elderly parents and went out of their way to help us with all queries and requests (extra nights stay, help with our sink, directions for near-by shopping) - and in general were extremely professional and kind under demanding circumstances. The hotel was very busy as you would expect with many families displaced from their homes. We appreciate the service and support we received from Tatiana and all the staff - Best Western are very fortunate to have such dedicated and passionate staff. We can't thank you enough! To the young lady that does the overnight audit. Thank you so much for assisting me and being patient with me while I checked in. The room was very cozy. The water was great. I slept very good and I appreciated my stay for the rate that I received thanks to victory travel who provided the military family and friends rate of 79. I couldn't beat that deal since the motel that I was previously booked at charged 69 and it wasn't half as decent as best western.

I would rate this hotel as regular Best Western or lower, Need better service to be considered as Plus. Air Condition was not able to maintain proper temperature range. Over all its ok hotel, apart from front desk all were very friendly.

My husband and I stayed here for Parent's Weekend for the 3rd time in a couple of years since our daughter is at USC. We have previously found the hotel to be very clean and kept. Judging from other reviews here, the hotel is still maintained at that level. Our room 117 was on the first floor. The hallway carpet looked to be stained and in need of cleaning. Our room had a black spot in the corner of the bathroom under the sink that I refused to inspect further to see if it was mold (I really didn't want to know) but it needs to be taken care of. The toilet handle had to be held down a long time for a weak flush. And although I don't blame the hotel, the shower is very slick and I had to catch myself, half falling. Also the shower head pressure was so strong that it was too painful to stand under, so I had to turn my back... not comfortable. As I said, it may have just been our room. We are willing to try it again since we've had such good experiences before and the staff is always super nice. And perhaps we should have just asked for another room....which we will do the next time. Too good of a value for the money to write off.

For getting to Fort Jackson, this hotel was very convenient for us. If you are hoping to take advantage of the breakfast in the morning, don't bother. They don't open till 6:30 A.M. and you need to leave the hotel earlier then that to get on base to see your SIT.

The rooms were very clean and modern and the breakfast items were very good. I am very picky when it comes to hotels and this hotel exceeded my expectations and the price was very good. Highly recommend.

I found this hotel to be clean with a comfortable bed and great water pressure. The hotel staff was friendly and made my stay a pleasure. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance but not much to do in the immediate area. I would stay here again.

Something bit me while I was there and also there was a strong cologne smell in my room. There was not enough staff to meet my needs whenever I asked for something she could not help. I had a dirty comforter with hair on it and my husband had to take the comforter off the bed and take it to the front desk. The only good thing was the cleaning lady and the front desk lady in the morning. They were nice. I will not refer friends or family here. I normally don't like to say negative things about an hotel but I was extremly disappointed and these bits on my body hurt and are red and sore. I do not know what bit me but if you go here please be careful. I will never stay at another Best Western ever!!!

We stayed here on our way from Pennsylvania to Disney world. The parking was alright, sort of tight and crowded. The rooms very slightly noisy (maybe due to our location near the pool and our loud neighbors.) They gave us a crib right away which was nice and had a microwave and fridge. I personally didn't feel like the area was super safe. The next morning the breakfasts was by far one of the best I've ever had. Trust me you won't be disappointed. It was all delicious and superseded the other downfalls I noted above. The pool area was quaint and very beautiful. The lobby is very nice and comfortable. Eating area for breakfast very roomy. They also offer you snacks to go which is great. I would recommended this hotel for the price!

Very pleased with hotel. Rooms were very clean and modern. A Complimentary breakfast buffet was included. Staff encountered were friendly. I Did not make it to the downtown area so cannot comment. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

The hotel was clean and the staff was great. The beds were comfortable too. A nice selection of things for breakfast. Not just a muffin and juice. The pool was small but nice for a little dip. Not the greatest part of town but close relatively close to Ft Jackson. I was told that I had a suite with a kitchenette but it was really only a microwave and mini fridge

Normally I visit this hotel once a year. My normal stay is about 2-3 nights I find this hotel conveniently located since I visit friends and family which lives in the general vicinity. The staff at this Best Western is always friendly and professional and very helpful. Normally I always like the suites since they are more spacious plus they are well maintained. I can't think of no problems or major inconveniences since my history with the Best Western Hotel chain A. L. Hughes

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and breakfast that suited our needs. Staff super friendly. Very close to Fort Jackson, and right off highway 77. I would highly recommend, that if you are going to Fort Jackson, or a stop over heading south, this is the place.

Our son is a student at USC. because of that we have stayed at a couple different Best Western and Wyndham in the area. This is by far the best value. This Best Western is renovated. The rooms are new and clean. Breakfast is typical for the brand. It's clean and there is plenty of what's being offered. It is well attended by staff. The front desk people are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The whole staff is the same crew we have seen through our four visits now over the last couple years Same with the person working the breakfast. Pool is tiny but it did the job. Plenty of towels by the pool. Easy on and off highway. About 10 minutes to campus.

Overall I love this hotel. this is the perfect place to say that has quality and a touch of elegance. You can't beat what you are getting for the price. I have stayed here many times and I would stay again. I love this hotel.

The hotel was nice. Clean rooms and hot breakfast was nice. Pool was not nice. 6 floors....full hotel....pool the size of a hot tub. But....back to the good....staff was amazing and very helpful for information about the base.

The hotel is nice. A little dangerous to get into off of Two Notch road because there is no protected left turn, and there is a lot of traffic. The hotel was clean, updated and the staff is friendly. I didn't feel very safe leaving my car in the parking lot. The only thing between the lot and a side street is a weak row of bushes, and the neighborhood didn't have the safest feel to me.

My wife and I were passing through on our way to Florida and stopped here for the night. The hotel is very clean, and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We were there for my son's graduation. The first room we received the room had not been vacuumed but the front desk employee immediately exchanged rooms. Everything was wonderful. Short ways to the gate to go one post and very easy access! If u are looking for an affordable, clean hotel this is the place.

Easy to get to from freeway. Staff was pleasant, check-in was quick. There are restaurants within walking distance, which is a real value after sitting in a car all day. Room was clean-no problems. Breakfast was good.

Good welcome when we arrived. Used discount from BW. Rooms are large with desk, couch, and two chairs. Breakfast was more than adequate. Near Home Depot and four restaurants. Gas price very low on the way to highway. Several other choices but BW Plus is the best.

We stayed here on our way home to VA from a trip to Disney in Orlando. We were happy to find this hotel with a pull out sofa since my son, age 21, and daughter, age 15 were traveling with us. Room was very spacious and seemed to be very clean, but the blanket on my daughter's bed did have a spot on it where someone had spilled something on it (which we did not notice until the next morning unfortunately). It was not a stain because it felt stiff - like a sugar drink had been spilled on it. Also, I had to call down in the morning to get a spare roll of TP for the bathroom because there wasn't much on the rolls in there (there were 2 rolls but both were almost completely empty) and there was no spare. No one was available to bring that to our room per the person working the desk so my husband went to the service desk to get it. The young lady there was caught off guard by him because she was on her cell phone and when he said "excuse me can I get a roll of toilet paper" he said she just about jumped out of her skin. Other than that, this hotel was nice though the spot on the blanket did make me question how clean the room actually was even though it seemed very clean. I don't know what the policy is for hotels and washing blankets, but I would hope they wash them like they do the sheets??? Staff was friendly. Breakfast was pretty good but the pancake maker ran out of batter and no staff ever changed it while we were in there eating - so I made myself and waffle instead.

This hotel is a great place tom stay. We always stop on our travels North. The location is convenient and there are many restaurants nearby to walk to for a meal. The place is clean and staff friendly.

Easy to find off the highway and close to restaurants. Check in person gave good directions to restaurants. Check out was very easy. Breakfast was great...appreciate the USA today paper. Traveling alone was glad for the well lighted secure parking.

Hotel was clean and the room too. Room was nicer than expected, with plenty of room for my family of four. Staff was friendly, and they get bonus points for being part of my company discount list. It was near a few restaurants and a Walmart, which was helpful as we just stopped for the night before continuing our trip to Ormond Beach, FL. They had a decent free breakfast. I would stay again.

Hotel is clean and shower is amazing. So much water pressure. Especially after a long day on the motorcycles. Bike friendly, they have a discount on the room for that. Only issue is you cannot park bikes under the awning. Found a spot up close. All in all a great place

We stayed onvernight while traveling and had an easy check-in, comfortable, clean room, helpful staff and good breakfast the next morning. Our king suite with sofa bed worked great for our family. We have no complaints and will stay again.

This Best Western hotel had a very clean and well appointed room. The staff is friendly and very beds are very comfortable. The free breakfast was a disappointment. For the number of people in the hotel they only had one waffle maker which caused a significant wait. They had no bacon only sausage patties to go with the eggs. I will stay there again. The breakfast will not impact future visits to the Best Western Columbia.

We stayed here on our way back from Florida. After such a great stay at the Best Western in Richmond Hill GA, I did not hesitate to book this one. It certainly did not live up to the caliber of the BW in Georgia. Disappointed by the whole experience. The front desk staff were friendly and our room large and clean. The layout was a little as the microwave and fridge were by the door and the bathroom was quite small. We needed towels of course. There were 5 of us and only 3 sets of towels. Our bed sheets were wrinkled and stained but looked to be otherwise clean. The breakfast was not very good although the coffee was good and also the pancake. The waffles were not however. The eggs were terrible. We talked about it later and decided we should have gone next door to the Waffle House. There are a number of restaurants next door and close by which was convenient. Easy on and off from the highway too. The kids enjoyed the outside pool though it was not heated. We won't stay here again. There are better choices close by.

Everything was top-notch. Travel from Stuart, FL home to Mattapoisett, MA home at least twice/yr. Wife and I will plan our trips to re-visit this BW. From the initial staff welcome to the excellent condition and cleanliness of the room to the many treats at the continental breakfast, all was beyond our usual experience at BW's. If anyone is in this area, don't miss it.

Great room - plenty of space. Clean. Quiet. Though it was close to Hwy, No noise to compete with when sleeping. Refrigerator, microwave and sofa sleeper, besides KING bed. When passing through this area again, I would definitely book to stay here.

Great staff From Ms, Brenda, Ms.Lindy& Mr. Jermaine. I had a concern about my AC unit not cooling my room off, Ms. Brenda and Ms. Lindy jump on it so quick to resolve the issue meaning my room was cool and comfortable, Jermaine what an AWESOME GUY, took the the time out to give detail information to get around Columbia and he was compassionate as if I was a family member of his and the whole staff customer service skill made you felt like family. This staff get 5 STARS THANKS for making my stay WONDERFUL

This property was given a good rating on other travel sites but honestly do not see why. Room was very dark and bathroom was very small. The 'hygienic' TV remote control had some leftovers on it and floor didn't 'appear' clean. Room layout was ok and everything necessary was available so no complaints there. Basic hotel buffet breakfast with the ubiquitous waffle machine.Staff was friendly. Restaurants within walking distance (e.g. Outback, Waffle House). One final note, there is a railroad track across from the hotel so you may hear and occasional train.

Had my stay at the Best Westeren from May 18-20 and I must say it was nice. Check in was a breeze and Mz Linda was very helpful?? For my next stay in Columbia it would definitely be at the Best Wasteren. Thanks again to all the staff????

Word of warning, don't keep your Do Not Disturb sign on as late as 11 am or your room will not get cleaned. The staff leaves. But they didn't tell people that at check-in and I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't clean in the afternoons. So needless to say we had a dirty room when we got back that night. But after several times asking for them to help us out in the bill they did. They informed us at check-out of the small discount. Better than nothing but could have been avoided if their welcome speech at check-in included their cleaning times.

Very good experience. Easy on and off the interstate. Comfy room, Quiet, well appointed, clean (and I am picky). Competent and welcoming staff. I would come back to this hotel if I was in the area again. Would also recommend it .

As soon as I entered the room I noticed a pair of dirty socks on the floor and knew that wasn't a good sign. When I went back out to grab something from my car, I noticed the inside handle was covered in some sort of greasy film. When I pulled back my sheets to go to bed, there were crumbs, lots of hair, and what looked like (or what I hope was) chocolate smears. Called up to the front desk to ask for clean sheets and was told the bald face lie that they didn't have any extra sheets in the entire hotel and that we could check out if we wanted to. Would've done so had I not arrived so late in the evening and every other hotel wasn't book. I had to be at a military graduation first thing the next morning. Slept on top of towels on the bed for a miserable night. Stayed another day with no problems, but that first night was awful coming off of a 6 hour drive.

This hotel is very new and clean, with spacious rooms. Also quiet. Computers in lobby. Pleasant breakfast area. Personable and helpful staff. Really great place for a stop and a good deal--better than La Quinta.

This hotel was very clean and modern. Staff was very professional and helpful. The room was a good size with a great layout. Having a refrigerator, microwave, and sitting area was great. The breakfast was better than the area restaurants. It included fresh fruit, make your own waffles, yogurts, pastries, eggs, bacon and sausages. Having a pool was great as well.

I really enjoyed the overnight stay at Best Western after a long day's drive. Great value for the money. Comfortable, pleasant stay. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. I'd definitely stay there again.

When I want to book a hotel I always check TripAdvisor first. This hotel was # 9 on the list. I lucked up and got it at a decent price as well. The staff were very friendly from check in, breakfast to check out. The room was very clean and kept up. The hotel was nice and quiet all the time. The breakfast had a mixture of hot and cold items for breakfast. Items included, Cereals, eggs, boiled eggs, a meat, waffles, pancakes, bread, bagels, muffins, danish's yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee. The gentleman working breakfast always made sure it was stocked at all times. I also heard him helping a customer get back on the interstate with directions. On our next church trip I will be staying here again. The only thing about the room was the really small bathroom. But really not that big a deal.

We have stayed here for 4 years as snowbirds both south bound and north bound. Checked in tonite...place is in need of upgrades, man at the desk was like a robot, bed and chesterfield are on their last legs, carpet spotty, bathroom has lotsa stains. The room arrangement is great...they just need to freshen up!

This was a nice comfortable place stay . The most important thing to me was there were no bugs!!!! Breakfast was decent- eggs,sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, grits, oatmeal, toast, english muffins, danish, muffins, coffee n juice. It was a very convenient location, lots of fast food n restaurants around as well as stores such as Walmart, walgreens, a few shopping places n such. Fitness room small but well kept. Check in was fast. The room did smell funny, kinda of musty I had to spray lots of fabreeze,but it was very clean and once again no bugs!!!

We were in town for the Pearl Jam show and used trip advisor to find this hotel. For the money, was very nice. Clean, friendly service, everything was easy. Breakfast was solid, good location and easy getting in and out of downtown. Would definitely stay there again.

Service during check-in was exceptional--very polite staff. The room initially had a slight odor that I did not report nor pay much mind to, however this was a mistake. After checking-out, the hotel charged me three different amounts. After calling to speak with management, the General Manager could not even explain the charges and put me on hold to talk to the associate manager. For some reason I was hung up on and never received a call back. The upper level of staff, i.e. management was poor in regards to their service. I received an extra $300 fee because they needed to "deep clean" the room. The blamed the initial odor, which came from the broken Air Conditioning system, on my stay. After calling to dispute this issue, the General Manager had it set in her mind that she was right. As this was my first stay with the Best Western branch, it also was surely my last. I believe service is important and although I enjoyed the room and amenities, the poor management has deterred me from any future stay or recommendation.

I'm a princess when it comes to bed. I want it soft but not too soft. The bed was great and I slept well. The room was big with microwave and refrigerator. It could have been a bit cleaner - there was a zipper tag on the bench. Breakfast was typical with round egg puck and sausage. Lobby was very nice.

We chose this hotel because of the neighborhood in which it is located. We came to Columbia to visit family and the zoo, but chose not to stay closer to the zoo because reviews of hotels in the zoo neighborhood indicated it was a little sketchy. This is a very nice hotel for the money. We felt we got a real bargain. The breakfast was typical, free hotel breakfast. Our room was located nearest the main highway and, for that reason, we heard many sirens and the train during the night. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

clean. way overpriced for small rooms and tolerable breakfast. An overnight for us,The most expensive on trip. was not impressed. Thought we would get more for almost 200 a night. stayed at a different hotel in area for less than half of the price and same value.

The free breakfast has many tasty options. The hotel is located right off of a major highway with easy on and off access.

The rooms were clean; our executive king was very spacious; price was reasonable. Jermaine at the front desk was a rock star! In 10min he checked in three people, answered four phone calls, and played cashier for snacks for several quests! We were really impressed with his quick and helpful service! Would definitely stay here again!

Nicely renovated, friendly staff from check in to check out. Beds were great - comfortable and pillows plentiful, linens better than average. Clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast choices were varied - cereals, yogurt,fresh fruit to warm options. Would definitely return when out this way . Price was better than nearby competition and great value. Easy on and off major freeways.

We found a great hotel on our way home from Florida. Clean and comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Just be careful of the parking lot. Metal spikes from concrete parking barrier ripped our bumper off part way. Hopefully this is corrected because it is a really nice place to stay.

We spent 3 night got a Fort Jackson graduation discount. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was polite. Breakfast was typical. Son enjoyed "gym and business center". Good location easy access to interstates and on a main road to access restaurants stores etc. Parking was so so.

I appreciate the helpful staff at every Best Western I've stayed at. The morning breakfast makes traveling so convenient and saves time and money. And it tastes great, as well. The rooms are always clean and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable, too.

Room was clean property was well maintained .Breakfast was good with a large selection of items would stay there again .Everything was close by many restaurants .this was a trip for Ft Jackson Graduation which was very easy to get to from this location.

My husband and I stayed here while checking out Columbia. The room we stayed in was pretty big and I thought we got a pretty good deal on it. The hotel came with included wi-fi and breakfast. The breakfast was pretty nice, but very busy in the morning. Our room came with a huge flat screen tv. Big plus for us. :) My only complaint was that at night I could hear the train coming through. Over then that our stay was perfect. The staff was very nice.

Very nice place to stay, nice fitness center, and great breakfast options. The location was great, not far from Fort Jackson. We had to use the laundry area, it was very clean and inexpensive. The only bummer was that we were not able to have a late checkout our last day.

No thrills or frills at this hotel. Way overpriced. Location is fair. Cleaner than some, but I have seen a lot better for the money. When it comes yo getting something to eat, plan on eating out. There are a lot more hotels which give you more for the money and cleaner.
