    « Interesting stay »

I found the room to be spacious but had issues with the room being properly vacuumed prior to my stay, with the staff replenishing the provided supplies (cup, cups, lotion and etc..) and there is an issue with using the room key to access the side rear of the building where the stairs leading to upstairs are..could not use the key there so had to walk around the building or walk down the hall to the stairs then walk back to the room...too much walking

« Front Desk was great, Room was not clean »

I arrived in the afternoon to check in. When I arrived to my room (#209), the fridge had not been cleaned. The refrigerator was full of food, boxes of old chicken, old pizza, brown paper bags and had sticky drink stains inside. Also, my room was dusty - the area under the TV was full of dust and hadn't been cleaned/wiped down, the bathroom tub was not cleaned properly. I tried to call the front desk from the room phone but there was no dial tone. So, I had to walk back downstairs to the front desk to report the problem. Jessica at the front desk was very professional and apologized for the inconvenience. I asked to be moved to another room but unfortunately there was not another room available. I was also surprised to find out that ALL of the cleaning staff had left for the day. So, there was no one available to come and properly clean the room. How is there NO housekeeping onsite in the middle of the day? Note: Upon arrival to the hotel, ALL of the cleaning staff was standing at the front desk, clocking out to leave for the day. Since housekeeping had left for the day, there was no one available to remove the food from the fridge. So, the front desk person had to do it. She removed all the old food from the fridge and checked the phone (which has a faulty cord). I didn't notice the dust and bathroom until after she left. I travel with disinfecting wipes so I wiped the room down myself and used the shower in my family member's room. The fact that the receptionist had to leave the front desk unattended to come to my room on the 2nd floor to clean out a refrigerator is ridiculous. However, Jessica was had the best attitude. She did all she could to try and accommodate me. Thank you, Jessica! Also, the front desk staff on duty the following morning was very helpful and friendly.

« Older But Very Nice & A Pleasant Staff »

The Hotel is a bit older but was nice and clean. Upon my arrival which was earlier than check in, they went out of their way to accommodate me. The desk clerk was very helpful and considerate. The overall atmosphere of the place was made by the kind spirit of the staff. Amazing how pleasant people creates a betterment of views.

« Front desk & cleaning staff service »

The receptionist at the front desk was very helpful caring and accommodating. Excellent Service! The room service staff display very good service by cleaning the rooms daily with very great details and accommodating overall request for additional supplies. I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend the hotel for anyone traveling to Bastrop Louisiana. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be using this hotel.

« Very Nice Place to Stay »

Upon walking in the Manager was very friendly and immediately made us feel comfortable. She was very detailed in explaining everything and wanted to make sure that we had an outstanding stay. I had stayed at the hotel several times in the past and although I never had a bad experience I must say that this visit was my BEST experience. It also looked as though they had gone through an extensive remodel and the rooms looked very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return in 3 weeks. Sincerely, Deborah N

« Place to stay in Bastrop. LA »

Hotel was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare. Nice stop after 10-hours on the road. Traveling with family and everyone was fine with this stay. Didn't use the outdoor pool but there is one and the hotel was getting some fresh paint and grounds are well kept.

    « Hometown Hospitality »

I was in Bastrop for a school reunion and was so happy I was able to stay at this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and accommodating. The staff greeted us courtesy and remained that way throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Keep up the good work Home Town!

« Happy with interior, space, staff. »

Stayed for 1 week and probably their highest-maintenance guest, but the staff was super-friendly and always gracious towards me. Whitney the manager did an outstanding job of making things right when there was confusion over my reservation. I was pleased to find an extremely spacious king suite (just like the photo) with kitchenette, refrigerator, granite countertops, modern interior, decent office chair + desk, wired + wireless internet. A nice Walmart Supercenter is 1 min. away. At $80/night it is the best-value place to stay I've found that lets me commute easily to CenturyLink.

« Best place to stay in Bastrop! »

I spend a LOT of time in The Bastrop area for work and I frequent this hotel. I have to say that it is a fantastic spot to catch a little rest and relaxation. The rooms are of good size and kept exceptionally clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly especially the front desk crew. If your ever in the area do yourself a favor and stop by this hotel, I recommend it. Eric D.

« Brush up the facility. »

I enjoyed my stay. Its time for the company to upgrade the rooms. I liked being able to enter the rooms on the inside. The parking area was clean no potholes. Pool nicely kept. The staff was excellent evening and morning. Will I stay again yes I will. I felt safe there I don't know if I felt that way because its sit's next to a church but I felt safe there.

    « Needs a little work »

Overall experience was not horrible, but some areas could be worked on. It seemed like the A/C wasn't getting cold like we had it set on. The ironing board was old and falling apart. The carpet was stained. Some of the breakfast items were not that great. The worst part I think was the pool water tasting "salty". It really needed to be cleaned. Needless to say we did not stay in there long at all. The lobby was really clean though and the front desk clerk was really nice.

« Best place to stay in Bastrop »

We stayed here recently while attending a family reunion. The hotel is average from a Best Western standpoint. The room was clean and comfortable. Could use some upgrading. The breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage patty, waffles, and other goodies. Will stay here again.

    « Good Saty »

We were in Bastrop la and we stayed at Best Western motel. The staff was very good and knowledgeable. The room we had on ground floor was amazing, comfortable beds and clean bathroom as well the room. The breakfast was excellent,we enjoyed this hotel. Wifi worked great. Outside landscaping was very nice. Overalls we enjoyed staying here. We will stay again here and tell our friends to stay here. Keep up the good work.

« STAY NOT FOR BUSINESS OR PLEASURE »

My brother died and there were too many people to stay at the house, so some of us stayed in Best Western because it was close to our home. The room was economical and clean. However, we could not use our cell phones to stay in contact with our family members and no use of computer. The staff said the internet was down. We stayed 2 nights. It was down all this time. In a modern world, this is not appropriate.

« The Best of Bastrop? »

We were told this is the best hotel in Bastrop, LA. We stayed at this BW several years ago. It is not as clean as we remembered. I didn't feel comfortable walking bare foot in the room. The breakfast was decent, but the eggs were a mystery to me. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

« Not like in the Past »

This was my third stay in the motel and maybe my worst. I had booked a Smoking 2 Queen room for 2 nights, in previous years I got this room on the ground floor but this year I had to go upstairs since the Red Cross had reserved the bottom floor for flood victims. I feel sorry for them ok but most of them were young healthy people and I with a bad knee had to climb the stairs with luggage. Maid service was ok but nothing special and still the same semi- unfriendly room clerks. On this stay, I am rethinking my lodging when in Bastrop on my yearly trip there. I do recommend the motel but with this time, I do it with reservation.

    « Flood Relief Central »

This property in the small town of Bastrop Louisiana is by far the most comfortable accommodations for many miles. During my stay the hotel was filled with flood victims, FEMA personel and RedCross. The large lobby with room for guests to enjoy the included breakfast of waffles, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit and coffee is nicely appointed and functional and truly appreciated for meetings with co-workers. The staff was freindly and accommodating and always helpful. The free Internet service and flat screen TV worked flawlessly. The hotel can arrange for economical laundry pick up service. During my stay the property was fully booked every night so check ahead for availability.

    « Chico Kid »

The hotel is close to restaurants, grocery store, and WalMart - it seems like a safe area. Breakfast is OK - eggs & sausage, cereal & milk, fruit, yogurt, coffee & juice. I wanted biscuits and gravy but I the biscuits were hard as rock. Whitney was the only friendly staff member. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The other staff made us feel we were bothering them. It is an average hotel - the best in town - but that is not saying much.

    « Best? Western »

This property reminded me of a typical Super 8. I was not impressed. The room quality was not up to the standard I've experienced at other Best Western properties. This was the only nation brand hotel I found in Bastrop. The other hotels in town are the mom and pop variety, but one of them might have been a better choice.

    « Nice place »

Quiet, comfortable, clean room. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. (Not very good). But, it was included with the room. WiFi was so slow that I could not use it and had to connect to my cell phone for internet access.

« Excellent place to stay in Bastrop »

The hotel was clean, looked pleasing and comfortable. Good prices. At this moment, I can not think of 200 characters to meet TripAdvisor's requirement to complete this survey. Therefore, I will ramble for a bit. Best Western was great considering it's location in a small town setting. All staff were friendly and helpful.

    « Average »

For the Price this was an ok hotel. Nothing fancy but clean. I'd stay here again. Not much of a choice in Bastrop La. The staff was ok but not real excited. Room were clean. Breakfast was not very good. Usual quick stuff.

    « Good Stay »

The room was clean as well as the Lobby, but there was no internet in the room and it was very weak in the lobby. Check in was easy as well as check out. I would recommend this motel to anyone for a quick business stop.

    « Hometown Review »

Best one in the town. I would not consider anyone else. The pillows on the bed could be of better quality. The overall Staff was excellent. The location was great. Around most of the Restaurants and shopping areas. Walmart very close by.

    « Clean hotel - friendly staff »

My husband and I were visiting family during the holiday and booked a room at Best Western. The rates were reasonable, the room was clean, hotel was easy to locate and staff was friendly. Will definitely stay here again during our visits!

    « 1st Bastrop visit »

The hotel is located near a variety of restaurants and shopping centers. We spent a quiet night in a large, clean room that was moderately decorated but the bed was comfortable. Internet speed was fast. The breakfast menu consisted of a verity of pastry and self-service waffles, fruit and fruit juices, yogurt, eggs, sausage and hot coffee. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

    « Work »

Great place to stay in Bastrop. Room was well furnished with good décor The bed was very comfortable. I got the room I had requested. Hotel is close to places to eat and shop. The breakfast was good. I have stayed here before and staff is always friendly and helpful.

    « Funeral Services »

The hotel was comfortable, but there are no elevators for wheelchair patrons my brother had to sleep in another family members room because he is handicapped. I was given a second floor room. I had to drag my luggage upstairs. On my departure a domestic helped me with my luggage down the stairs.

    3
    « Best Western »

always the same, nothing special. exercise room not in service, and room not cleaned to my comfort. The staff behind the desk not very friendly. I did see housekeeping turn in someones laptop! That was a show of honesty! One thing I can not stand, is the way the doors slam shut all day and night, not to mention the water pipes making noise in the wall when people take a shower. I remodeled my house and heard the water pipes expanding in the wall because the pipe expanded in a tight hole. Nerve racking in the middle of the night. I do prefer Best Western, but not all are the same,

    « Refreshing »

Rooms smell refreshing. Not the stale order like before. Very clean and pleasantly cooled. I always stay here when i am in town. The breakfast is always good and not cold. The coffee is better than Starbuck.

« nicest hotel in Bastrop »

Clean room, pleasant staff, good location. Breakfast was typical small hotel food but served the purpose for coffee and oatmeal. Several families were around the pool when I checked in and seemed to be enjoying it.

    4
    « Clean and tidy »

This was a nice hotel but we were a little disappointed when we happened to look it up online after checking in. The price was $10 cheaper than what we had been charged? Now the room was nice with fridge, microwave and coffee making etc and a good breakfast and I would have happily given a five star rating if it wasn't for this little oversight. We brought it to their attention in the morning and without a quibble they refunded us $10 which in the scheme of things isn't much but when you are working on a budget this adds up! I dislike this sort of thing but otherwise the place is very nice and thumbs up to them for rectifying the situation for us but we should not have had to point it out.
