    « Comfortable »

Clean and comfortable rooms, also very quiet considering its on a busy road. The nice little outdoor area next to the pool was also a bonus Reception were very friendly and very hospitable when we asked if our check out could be extended by an hour, no problem at all ?? Highly recommended

    « Great stay »

Stayed 2nights with two children and one adult. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was great. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Had read the reviews about the beds being comfortable and they were absolutely beautiful to sleep in. Everything was clean and tidy. Had breakfast in our room one morning and it was great. Location was convenient too.

    « Motel »

Welcome at reception was very good, room was very clean ans was the spa. I found the bed a little soft, (personal preference). The owners, Damien and Louise, were fantastic and extremely helpful. I did think that it was a little expensive though.

    « Great stay »

Great stay, staff helpful. Love my cup of tea, so good to have fresh teabags and biscuits. Plenty of snacks in the fridge. Bed comfy. Internet was abit ordinary. Close to the Uni which suited me. All ground floor units which was good also.

    « Comfortable Stay »

Visiting family was a necessity and the motel was a great location. Situation West Wodonga. Very comfortable lodgings for overnight or a 5 day stay. In house meal delivered however was also able to walk to pub and/or get pizza. Reasonable rates. Very helpful and informative management.

    « Very nice. »

Last minute booking. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Room has been reburbished. Very comfy king koil bed. Breaky and room service. Highly Recommended for a stay. Was also easy to find and we'll placed.

    « Best in the West(ern) »

We had a great nights stay in a clean and well-furnished room. It was nice and warm (in winter) and comfortable, even the bathroom was warm. It is in a good location not too far from the centre of town.

    « Great staff »

Great location, clean room and friendly staff. The breakfast menu was great and the bedding was modern and the bed was super comfy. Big shower and big bathroom. It was handy there was a TV guide. Close to shops and the freeway but it was very quiet.

    « Feedback! »

Clean, tidy room. Only negative was you could hear that the toasters set off every smoke detector in each of the rooms including ours (not nice early Sunday morning!) also bathroom did not have an exhaust fan

« Great location for the tennis »

Nice clean room with good layout and comfortable beds (parents with a teenage boy) - good storage and plenty of bench space and a good sized bathroom and good shower plus air conditioning (handy as it was very hot).

« Unprofessional, dismissive attitude of owner re issue with Wi-Fi availability, foul smell from abattoir »

Initial connection to the free Wi-Fi network on my IPad was smooth and uneventful. However, the connection dropped out within the hour and re-connection was impossible (I note there is another review that mentions this). I contacted Reception to check if the network was down but it was immediately assumed that the issue was either user or device related. I advised him that I worked in IT and was certain the issue was with the Wi-Fi network. He said no-one else had complained and his tone of voice left me in no doubt he had already decided that it was a user or device problem. He said I should come to reception and he would "fix it". I asked him what he was going to do to "fix it". He said he was going to "put a number code in" and that he had fixed hundreds of guests connection issues this way. I just had to see what he was going to do so I went to Reception with my IPad. I again advised him that I believed the issue was network related and had nothing to do with me or my device. He responded by saying that he had at least 5 people a day bring their devices in and he "fixed" their connection issues. Further, he then suggested that the issue was probably because everyone was on the Internet. As he was saying this he had my IPad facing him and in a short space of time he triumphantly turned the IPad around to face me and smugly told me I was already connected to the Internet. He had opened Safari and the favourites list was on the screen and he said "open one". I said there was no point as there was no internet connection (I pointed to the lack of Wi-Fi icon showing connection) but to humour him I opened a web page which of course resulted in the usual advice that Safari could not open the web page etc etc. I had had enough of his attempts to shift the blame and so I told him to listen and learn and showed him how to recognise when a device is connected to the Internet. So he then wanted to know what I wanted him to do about it. Again, I suggested he reboot the router and if that failed to solve the problem he would need to contact his ISP. He was not happy to do so but he did eventually reboot the router and as soon as he had turned it off and immediately back on (again not the proper procedure), I heard him leave reception via the back door and he never came back. I waited at Reception until the router rebooted. Problem was solved and I was able to reconnect. As I left reception his wife was walking towards reception, probably sent to ?deal? with the difficult guest, and I advised her that rebooting the router had solved the problem and that I did not appreciate the attitude of her husband. The Wi-Fi network was down again by morning. In addition, anyone contemplating staying here should be aware that there is an abattoir close by and the stench is nauseating as soon as you walk out the door of your room. I only became aware of the reason for the smell when I asked what the awful smell was when I was at Reception trying to sort out the Internet issue. His response - the abattoir!!!! It does come in waves so is not there all the time but I really think guests should be made aware as it is extremely unpleasant. On the positive side, the rooms have been ?refurbished? but unfortunately a lot of the awful 70/80's décor remains. The room was very clean but was very overpriced at $185.00.

    « best staff »

we missed the albury turnoff on a roadtrip to melbourne and found ourselves here for the night. They had a pool which we immediately used as it was a long trip and was just what we needed. The grounds could desperately use some major landscaping, however having said this the rooms are neat and tidy and good enough for a stopover. The couple who run it are amazing, efficient, friendly and have a real "above and beyond" attitude. We we advised of a brilliant restaurant and they even offered to give us a lift so we could have a few wines, AMAZING. We ended up walking to the restaurant and called them and got a lift back. Definately would stay here on future road trips.

    « Friendly service »

A very clean and comfortable motel with very friendly staff. Free Wifi. Comfortable bed with nice puffy pillows. Off main road and very quiet. Breakfast is available and sounded good, but we planned to eat on the road. The usual shampoo/conditioner is supplied but the "grooming kit" supplied was a nice surprise.

    « Excellent value »

Stayed overnight here whilst road tripping from Syd to Mel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are reasonably modern, as well as being very neat and clean. Brekky was very nice also. At $110 per night, it's excellent value. There is also a pub just a short walking distance down the road (recommended by motel staff) that do a nice counter meal if you're looking for dinner on arrival.

    « A pleasant place to stay. »

The staff were helpful & friendly and the rooms were well kept. Even though it was on a main road I found it to be quiet even in the mornings. Rates were very reasonable. Thank you for a lovely overnight stay.

    « Sister bonding trip »

Friendly and extremely informative staff from the moment we arrived they made sure we were comfortable. The pool was lovely to cool off in and the electric BBQ was brilliant. The meals were worth every cent. Daily room cleaning with fresh towels and sheets I will definitely be staying here again.

    « A find on the border »

A great little find on the border of Victoria and NSW for a stopover. Large clean rooms, good sized bathroom, decent mini bar options and a swimming pool which came in handy on a very hot long day. Gorgeous customer service.

    « Awesome »

Great choice in accommodation, friendly owners, staff, was great coming back and hopping straight into the pool, laundry facilities, overall I would recommend staying here again ourselves and to others looking for an enjoyable stay and go away knowing it was worth every cent spent

    « Comfortable »

We stayed there for one night, a small, clean and comfortable room. Parking just outside the door and it is a convenient 5 min walk to the eating place, Edward's Tavern. The motel is close to the freeway and easy to get to. The host and hostess are polite and helpful.

« A great place to stay in Wodonga! »

We've stayed at Best Western Stagecoach Motel on two separate occasions. On both occasions we have found it neat and clean, helpful and reliable management and a great breakfast deal on the second occasion of a continental breakfast! Great value place to stay, warm & welcoming each time.

« Happy to stay for a second time »

We stayed at this motel a couple of years ago and made a point of returning to it for our last trip south. Breakfast is available for a very reasonable cost, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the pool was a bonus.

    « Comfortable and spacious »

We only stayed one night but the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room. The pool was inviting and clean with a small area to sit for a cuppa or lunch or even a barbecue. I would certainly return if I'm travelling that way.

    « Wonderful Surprise »

I have already reviewed this under hume Hwy but will add to this in motels. Really great motel, nicely renovated...well stocked fridge, comfortable bed, room service dinner of high quality...& a swimming pool. It is a place you feel cared about & not just give me your money as so many motels are doing & forgetting we are customers

    « Holiday »

Motel easy to access from the highways. Friendly and helpful staff. Laundry facilities good. Easy access to Albury and Beechworth. Tavern in walking distance has very nice meals with good menu choices.

    « Overnighter »

I don't normally stop on my drive between Melbourne and Sydney but did this time on my yearly "pilgrimage" to PAX. Very clean, good sized rooms with excellent free wifi. Didn't interact with the staff much but they were fine as well. I think I'll start making a stopover each year going forward. They can also accommodate families of six and seven without breaking the bank.

« The most beautiful rose garden! »

We have stayed here twice now. Rooms are just lovely, spacious and spotless. Mini bar is available. Managers have been very helpful and have accommodated our car trailer with ease. The rose gardens are magnificent

    « overnight stay »

Room was very clean & tidy it was close to town but nice & quiet. Desk manager was friendly & helpful. I organized and booked online so everything was arranged when we arrived no hassles after a long drive.

« Best Western Stagecoach, Wodonga, Victoria, Australia »

Nothing fancy, but very well maintained, very clean. Old style motel drive up, but the family that runs it cares about your comfort. so very thrilled to get there after a drive and meet with friends at a pub nearby

« Saturday evening stop over »

Reception was average, room was clean, not a large room, bathroom and shower were good size with good water pressure and hot water. Not many power points in room. Kettle stored one end and power point up the other end. No sink in room need to fill kettle in bathroom. Tv ok, free WiFi, car parking in front of room. Signage into motel not great, easy to overshoot entrance.

    « Stagecoach Motel »

We travel to Wodonga every year and have stayed in this motel every time. We like it because it is excellent value for money, it is clean, the staff are friendly and professional and it is close to ALL amenities without being in the center of town. ?Will always be back.

« Clean and comfortable motel, pleasant staff »

Driving up from Melbourne at night, I arrived in Wodonga at 10pm and was glad to be able to check into my room quickly and easily. The room is impeccably neat, clean and comfortable, everything in great repair. Wonderful mattress and a great night's sleep. I appreciated the included continental breakfast. It's worth noting that the motel is around 5min drive from the centre of Wodonga and about the same distance from the train station, but if you have a car (which I assume most do) it's handy. I'm quite a light sleeper so was woken by other motel guests leaving their rooms and driving away first thing in the morning, but luckily they were considerate and didn't have loud conversations outside my room!

« Quiet and modern rooms »

We stayed here on a Saturday night as we were in transit and after reading the Trip Advisor reviews booked our night and were not disappointed. I called prior to leaving home re dinner in the area and the lovely lady on reception booked us at tha local Tavern for a great meal and only a quick walk from the motel. The room was quiet, clean and had good quality towels and sheets. Highly recommended motel with friendly staff.

    « Clean,comfortable, good lighing and showers »

A good central location. Friendly staff, good clean room with more than adequate fittings and lighting. the unit comes with clean plates, etc and excellent heating which was needed during the recent cold weather. Great bathroom, comfortable bed and good working areas. No problems.
