    « Nice hitrl »

This is a very nice hotel. It's clean. The towels are soft as well as the toilet paper. There is a restaurant on premises that the hotel gives you a ticket for breakfast. It's a nice buffet full breakfast. Very good.

    « Do not stay »

I could not cancel this reservation so I had to stay. It was not a clean property and I went through 3 rooms to find one that didn't smell so bad that I could actually walk in the door. I will say the staff was very helpful and embarrassed at the state of the rooms. It is a smoking hotel that was turned into a non smoking one but wasn't updated with paint or cleaning or new furnishings. I'm sure in the 80's it was a nice place. It was a $30 room that cost well over $100. Horrible.......

    « Not for me »

Let me start by saying that I am brand loyal and this hotel chain is not my preferred brand and not the style of hotel I typically stay in. I was in Wichita on business and this was the hosts preferred brand because of a partnership and as a guest I respected their choice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a very unique older hotel/motel with an attached restaurant. It has tons of amenities of which I only used the gym. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but the cover beneath the comforter seemed old and very fuzzy so I removed it. Besides the television everything else was a bit outdated. I stayed in room 216 which faces the indoor courtyard area where there are a bunch of games and entertainment. Everything from ping-pong, to shuffle board, pool tables and arcades were available, however if you are traveling for business and need rest, plan on staying up because of these activities. Not sure what the occasion was, but there we kids running around every where all night. I barely got any sleep. As a father of 4 children I am sympathetic, however this group was unruly. The internet connection was very inconsistent so I used my phone as a mobile hotspot. The breakfast buffet was not good at all. Not many options to choose from and the staff was not very friendly. This may be a good hotel for children (maybe), however I don't think I'll stay here on my next visit.

    « Great choice »

This hotel was very clean and comfortable, conveniently located right off the highway. There is a huge game room area with pool tables, ping pong, and lots of activities that would be great for a family stay. The beds were very comfy with lots of pillows and the rooms were quiet providing for a good nights rest. Overall we had a great stay, would definitely recommend this hotel!

« What a great place to stay! »

We stopped here while conducting business in Wichita. We ended up spending most of our time in the hotel lobby, with all the video games and billiards! The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and well made, and the wifi was lightning fast!

« Fun for the family »

Our stay here was brief, checked in, left and didn't get back until late then crashed and left. While I was there, I noticed that there was a lot to offer for families, including an enclosed pool. In addition, there are other games offered in a wide open area. There was some construction going on with the restaurant, however, the food was very good and quite a variety. Very good value with the room. It is an older hotel, but they are updating it.

    « Ehhh... »

The room was great, everything was very clean really liked the soap dispensers they have. The service and food at the restaurant attached to it was very poor i would not recommend going there. The manager that checked me in seemed rather clueless the whole entire time he was checking me in and didnt seem to know what he was doing, and he answered his cellphone while he was checking me in which seemed odd to me. Needless to say i dont think i will be returning anytime soon.

« Best Best Western Ever! »

I used to travel for work. This Best Western was the best we have ever stayed in! The hotel staff was wonderful, the room rocked, the amenities were amazing. The water pressure in the shower was the only thing I would want improved. Any issues were immediately resolved. Really enjoyed this stay. Other hotels will forever be compared to this one.

    « Class Reunion »

the hotel room was great there was plenty of clean towels and the bed was nice the Jacuzzi was super nice. the ball room was great the and the dessert was made in house and was delicious the only down side was that the security was next door and banged around all night but other than that it was nice

    « Interesting place »

The staff was professional and friendly The commons areas were well maintained. Our room was very clean. The cox cable television was excellent The wifi internet was also excellent Our room was closest to highway 135 and it sounded like the traffic was coming through the room. The room furniture needed updating and the carpet needed replacing. The mattress was hard as a rock.

    « unique stay »

We liked the unique layout of the hotel. Our interior room had direct access to the game/pool area. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and were very polite to my entire family.

    3
    « Near the Airport »

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Quick check-in. The hotel is a motel/hotel and there was access from the curb to our room. The décor is in desperate need of a remodel. The towels are well worn. The air conditioner stopped with a thunk. The carpeting was less than clean. Not the usual expectation from a Best Western as far as ambience.

    3
    « Makeover Paradox »

A huge Best Western that, like many, has undergone a makeover with their re-branding efforts. You could hold a large conference here. Huge common area that could seat 150 people; 150 rooms; good size indoor pool and hot tub. The embedded Country Kitchen is also large. There are some motel-style rooms opening directly to the outside for those who need to be near their cars. The service was an example of good Midwestern hospitality. The staff are all well trained, friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze (though it still involves signatures and identifying your car). The room was large and clean, with a modern TV, desk, hanging rail, small bathroom area. The desk chair was comfortable as was the bed. The free breakfast buffet was the largest I've come across in this market (and I've stayed in probably 8 places in this area in the last 6 months). It featured a fresh fruit selection, gravy & biscuits, ham, sausage, eggs, chorizo/egg bake, breads and pastries. Coffee was decent too. But the renovation is half done. Carpet in the rooms wasn't replaced and you're hit with that old smoky smell as soon as you open the door. The walls are pale bare brick, there aren't sufficient electric outlets for the tech-savvy traveler, the water pressure in the shower is so low, you can almost be in it and not get wet. Basically, the infrastructure is still 70's and tough to hide let alone fix. For $55 a night thru Priceline it was good value, though, and if you're OK with something between a old-style Days Inn and a Radisson, you'll be fine. If you prefer somewhere more modern , this is not for you.

    « The BEST..... »

My husband and I drove from Houston. Our room was huge, clean, comfortable and super wonderful! Awesome indoor hot tub (rare luxury) and pool. The young man at front desk (Justin I believe) was super courteous, dressed in clean white dress shirt with cuff links. Thank you Best Western for a luxurious relaxing overnight stay. If EVER we come thru we will surely be staying with you again !!! Loved it !

« Best Family Hotel In the World! »

We absolutely love this hotel! The restaurant is excellent and the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast buffet with each night's stay. All the rooms open up to a common area where our kids had a blast. There is pool, ping pong, shuffle board, arcade games, putt putt, and a merry-go-round ride for toddlers. We have our family reunion here every three years and we would never consider another hotel!

    4
« Great little overnight stay »

We needed a hotel room overnight to break up the longish drive to Colorado. We got a great price through Priceline on this Best Western and couldn't have been more pleased. Easy location off the highway, and plenty of parking made us very happy we had arrived. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was a nice extra before we hit the road again. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

    5
    « Very comfortable room »

I attended our Civitan Heartland District Convention over a weekend and my room was ideal. The bed and pillows were great and I slept well. The showers were ideal. The shower heads were good and the nonslip floor was perfect. I really liked the soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. See picture. The convention rooms were nice and convenient. But the very best part of my stay were the employees. John, the maintenance man, was very helpful and nice. Peter, who helped set up the meeting rooms was great. If I owned a hotel I would want to employ both of them. I look forward to returning.

    « Family Reunion »

We stayed 8 days in Wichita visiting friends and attending a family reunion. We were also able to watch the Olympics in our spare time. We had a free buffet breakfast every morning and it included lots of fruit, cereal, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, ham and sausage, toast, pastries, etc.

    4
    « Great stay »

The beds were very comfortable, and there were easily accessible electric outlets. The staff was great. The breakfast was very tasty and well presented. I was very pleased with my stay. Even though there were road repairs going on it was easy getting to the facility.

    « Wichita business trip »

Always a pleasure to stay at this Best Western. Comfortably, quiet, and a good value for the price paid. Enjoy the pool, workout room and the comfort provided in the rooms. I have used this same location for over 30 years and the upkeep of inside and out has been outstanding.

« Clean Rooms, Excellent staff, Great for Kids »

We recently were in town for a sporting event and choose this hotel due to the fact we had stayed there before and the kids loved it. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were excellent. Will stay here again next time we are in town.

    3
    « Average Hotel »

This hotel was in a great location for what I needed. My daughter was playing in a basketball tourney and we needed easy access to I-135. I got an express deal on Priceline, so I had a good price. We had access to our room from both outside and an interior hallway. The outside access was a little creepy. Lots of people outside smoking and gathered in the parking lot. Our room was just "ok." We had 2 queen beds, which were fairly comfortable. There was a nice flat screen TV and a small fridge and microwave. You receive tickets for breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel. They have a nice breakfast buffet each morning. They appeared short staffed so it took awhile to get seated and have our drinks brought to us. I also felt like we needed to tip since we had a waitress. The hotel reminds me of an old Holidome -- there's a center section with games such as shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, pool table, etc. I was a little disappointed that we had to pay to play the games, but we did enjoy a few games of air hockey one evening. There was plenty of space for gathering, so it would be nice if you were staying with a group. We did notice a lot of trash, such as yogurt cups and candy wrappers on the tables and the floor. The staff was friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.

    5
« Great Staff. When issues arrise they bend over backward to make it good »

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff bends over backward to make your stay great. The food in the restaurant was tasty and inexpensive. We look forward to our next stay the end of October.

    2
    « Very very average »

Our room was very dark and felt like we were in a dungeon. Seems like it needs a major overhaul. Everything just dingy and dirty. Would not stay there again. There is a restaurant attached/within the hotel but the food is pretty bad and service very slow.

    5
    « Uprr »

All my stays at this hotel have been great tall the help is very nice and the driver Sarah is one of the best. Lindsey is very bubbly and everyone else is great too. I stay here all the time and they take great care of me. I'm a diamond select member and proud of it.

    4
    « Great Hotel Staff »

We had issues with the pickup service, but the staff remedy the issues and got us to the hotel. They had great staff that cared about customer service! Hint if you are flying in and call for the transportation make sure they know which airport you are at. Repeat it to the receptionist a few times. I would stay here again.

    5
    « Comfy »

Very clean, inviting environment. internet was a bit slow but there was a conference there so I am sure there were tons of people on the server. The convenience of the restaurant onsite was great! Then pool was very clean and a great place to relax after training each day!

    4
    « Holmes Reunion Experiences »

good food, great service, attentive and cooperative. Facilities that are provided are in super condition, easy accesibility, and clean. Venue for our purposes was perfect, will definitely be back to visit again.

    « Family College Visit »

Ok so there are 2 trains of thought on this hotel. We spent 1 night on a college visit to Wichita State Unv. i booked online the night before with hotels.com, that was my mistake. I need 2 rooms, one for my husband and i, then one for my 2 teenage sons. When we checked in i was told by the desk clerk that we had to king rooms that are handicapped accessible. they both had outside doors to the parking lot as well as the hall entrance. I asked if i could change and was told he could not help me that i need to contact Hotels.com. so while we were in the lobby i called Hotels.com and explained i wanted to change this reservation, they put me on hold to call the hotel. The phone range the clerk i was talking to picked up the phone and explained that they had no rooms to change my reservation. I couldn't believe it! They had empty rooms he even told me but since it was booked through Hotels.com they would not change the rooms. So the rooms are dated, but clean. the rode noise was loud since we were along the highway. My men loved the games, pool, shuffleboard and videos. they highly recommend for the entertainment! The free breakfast the next morning is not to be missed. It was the best of your trip. I have to say if i had a different room and been able to change our rooms i would have been giving this hotel at least 4 stars. Just being there guest i was frustrated that they would not help me make a room change, we would have paid the difference so beware and only book directly with this hotel.

« A nice, but Kooky Hotel with an unintentional throwback feel. »

I attended a convention at this hotel and found the lay out to be kooky. Many of the rooms had sliding glass doors that opened into a main Panel content area which created for an awkward moment when we first arrived and threw open our curtains to get some light and instead had a couple hundred people and the guest of honor at the convention quickly look in our direction. The restaurant on the grounds is serviceable if you're looking for fried and comfort foods, but not many options for vegetarians or gluten free eating which was an issue for some of my travel mates. Another big con is the lack of a bar on the premises. These types of conventions are known for having drinks and the closest place to get liquor was quite beyond walking distance. The hotel did offer a shuttle service to take us to a nearby Wal Mart which allowed us to pick up a few things for our room which is an unusual service. My biggest complaint was that I had expressly requested a non-smoking room and my room smelled of cigarettes - like it was recently converted to a non-smoking room. The plus sides is that all the quirk came with a fair amount of charm. The staff was very friendly despite the strangeness of the layout it added to the experience. I'm looking forward to going back to this Best Western for the same con later this year.

« Our stay at Best Western Wichita North »

I have stayed at this property several times and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, the food good and the room quite comfortable. Good rates. Good location for a family stay or a small/medium size conference. Easy to access from I-35, north of Wichita, KS Several antique shops and an excellent glass shop in nearby Kechi, KS

    « Trip »

Thought that the hotel was nice. Somethings were a little dated. Food in the restaurant was good, and they had a lot of different items available. Staff was very nice and friendly. Some of the common areas were a little dated.

    5
    « Fantastic! »

This was an incredible value and fantastic hospitality. So welcoming. Very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast is a full awesome buffet that would cost $20+ at a name hotel. Justin was awesome. Will be back here when we return to Wichita.

« Clean, lots for kids to do, nice stay »

This place is great for families. Pool, games, nice clean rooms. Breakfast included. Would be good for conferences too. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet overall. We have stayed here before and it was great with kids. The only negative is that the glass sliding doors in our room lead to the common area and we could hear people out there at various times. Other than that, great value stay.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Nice amenities with an attached restaurant, no bar. Convenient to the highway system in and around Wichita, Kansas. Close to Newton Kansas too. At the rate I received I would stay there again. Convention sight for smaller conventions is good.

    « Delightful upgrades »

It had been a few years since I was attended the family reunion at this facility. It is completely updated. The rooms and the atrium is terrific. It used to be a bit depressing but no more. They also added an elevator. It is much improved and one that I recommend heartily.

    3
« An Interesting Best Western »

This Best Western is not what I would consider "typical." It is located away from other establishments; fairly secluded, with a Country Kitchen restaurant adjoined. There is a small gas station next door - pretty basic. From online photos, I thought the hotel was somewhat new, but that is not the case. Hotel staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean. It was an extremely hot couple of days when we stayed, so the small air conditioner unit was working hard to keep up with all the humidity; it did well. The bathroom was small, but there were automatic soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers handily located within the tub. Families with elementary school aged children would appreciate the available video-type games, air hockey, etc. as found in an arcade (bring $). Shuffleboard is available to play - just ask the front desk for the equipment. There was also an ice cream machine, but an "Out of Order" sign was posted during our two-day stay. A really HUGE area with tables and chairs, sofas, chairs to relax and a television are also located near the game area. This would be great for a family reunion or large group get together! The swimming pool was refreshing and appeared well-taken care of, as did the whirlpool Jacuzzi . Plenty of extra towels were available in the pool area, so no need to use yours from the room. There are some rooms available with both an outdoor entrance and then an entrance into the inside hallway; others with a sliding glass door facing the game/recreation/lounging area. Each guest gets a coupon valid for the breakfast buffet at the Country Kitchen, which adjoins the hotel. Items on the buffet included items such as scrambled eggs, sausage links, hash browns, yogurt, several types of fresh fruits, pastries, etc. Nice breakfast with something for everyone. This was a nice place; we were just expecting something more up-to-date and with maybe some stores nearby.

    « BEST WESTERN STAY »

Received good customer services from front desk and restaurant. Customer service/front desk ensured everything was good and in place before I left the front desk. This is not my first stay at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable as always. I request the same room each visit and it works out just fine. The restaurant has good food. Sometimes they just have to keep check to ensure food is still hot for incoming guests.

    « Hotel Review »

Our stay at Best Western North Wichita was very nice. We had nice rooms and plenty of space to gather for our family reunion. We have used this hotel for several years for our family reunions and will likely use this facility again for the next one.

« Really great set up for families! »

There is a huge room for gatherings and games like putt-putt, pool tables, air hockey and more! We ate our meals at the Country Kitchen connected to the Hotel. Our server mostly was Frank and he really made our experience fun and relaxing! I would definitely recommend staying at Best Western North and eating at the Country Kitchen. Ask for Frank!!

« Long day on the road »

After driving over 1000 miles, it was heaven to see the Best Western sign! As soon as we walked in, the front desk people were so help to see us and ensure we checked in fast so we could get to bed. Walking into the room, it was so nice to see that the A/C was on and turned down making the room very nice and cool. This help tons being we were in bed and asleep within 10 mins of walking in the front door.

    « HIGHLY Recommend! »

My family and I were tent camping when an unexpected (to us) thunderstorm so we had to get a hotel room. This Best Western is by far, the nicest one I've stayed in. There is a small, 3ft indoor pool along with a few arcade games, coin rides for small children, a pool table, table hockey ping pong table and a few other inside games. All of the hotel staff were very nice. One of the best things is the free breakfast buffet. For a 3-star hotel, the buffet was plentiful and the dining area was spacious. If I ever come back through Wichita again, I will definitely choose this hotel.

    2
« Hot rod power tour »

Check in fine, front staff very friendly and helpful. Went to room and a/c was not working, John the maintenance man showed up to troubleshoot unit but was interrupted the first time by radio to fix a toilet which is reasonable but the second radio call just after he got back required him to leave again for other problems reported by front desk which included a tv repair which apparently took priority over our Ac (pardon me) When they finally left him alone he replaced the unit and everything was fine. I would give John an excellent rating but whomever is responsible for his scheduling a failing rate. The hotel management needs to get this problem solved. As a side note the towels were very rough.

    1
    « Don't Stay Here »

Keys don't work, room smells, dead bugs, hot tub doesn't work right, breakfast was gross. Don't pay full price!! Got a discount and thank goodness. Only thing it had going for it was the location for the purpose of my trip. Would never stay at this place again or recommend it to anyone!!

    5
    « Amazing Staff »

every single staff person I encountered greeted me with a smile and salutation. It did not matter if they were just walking down the hallway or in a position to attend to one of my needs (such as check in or restaurant server) they all were incredibly kind and helpful, always offering to assist with anything. This is not common unfortunately these days. This property understands real customer service!

    « Weekend Conference Stay »

I attended a Conference at this hotel last weekend. I noticed an amazing shift in all aspects of the provided services from last year when I attended this annual conference. Others who were there last year and this year noticed as well. Kudos & Awesome Job To This Hotel's Staff! ;-) I look forwarded to attending our conference here again next year.

    « GREAT HOTEL! »

Great hotel for family or business, really cool layout and very clean. Highly recomended. This reminded me of when I was a kid and visited cousins to play in the pool while parents played cards and had a good time. I stayed for business, the room was large and clean with very nice people all around.

« My kids thought this hotel was awesome!! »

My kids loved this motel. They loved all of the activities to do - the putt putt, pool table, pingpong shuffle board and of course the pool. We loved the open commons area and as adults we sat out there and enjoyed each others company and visited all evening. The night was enjoyed by all! The breakfast the next morning was wonderful too, and a great way to start off our long and busy day!! Thank you again.

    5
    « "BEST" Best Western »

One of the nicest BW's we have ever stayed in! The front desk staff is excellent, as Travis was able to get us a ground floor room and all at a very reasonable rate! Breakfast is served at the attached restaurant, allowing regular entrees in addition to the excellent breakfast buffet provided with the room. The layout is great for a large family gathering, with lots of activities available inside the atriums. Being pet-friendly also directed us to this hotel, as we always travel with the dog.

« Excellent Hotel, Real breakfast, King with in room Jacuzzi »

Large room, comfortable bed and nice linens. Plentiful towels. Jacuzzi was extra large and rating would be 5 stars if the jacuzzi was adjustable and/or more powerful. Very nice facility, great family area for pool and other entertainment.

« Updated hotel with nice enclosed courtyard! »

Nice clean rooms, comfy beds, fridge and microwave in room, great open dome with ping pong, shuffleboard, large tv, pool table, pool and hot tub. Plenty of room for family gatherings and tables for playing games or sharing meals. Very nice free breakfast with fresh fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, etc. Great staff and friendly environment. We stay at this hotel whenever we are in Wichita and really love it for our family reunion.

    « Great hotel experience »

Have been staying at this hotel for about 9 years. The hotel keeps improving, and the interior communal area, and the guest rooms are all better than several years ago. A full breakfast buffet is included with the room, and the selection of hot items is excellent, with some unusual items, i.e., not just the usual eggs, toast, breakfast meats, etc. The staff is nice, and friendly. My room this last stay was impeccably clean.

    4
    « Clean place »

Nice clean place. A lot of activities for the kids to do. We had a large group of family. Nice large and comfortable area for all of us to gather and visit. The waitress "Anita" was outstanding and handled our large group each morning at breakfast with grace and professionalism. The food was OK, for a free breakfast. I also want to mention it was a pleasure to work with Ashley the sale representative. The only thing I wish they would have done differently, was put us all together instead of every other room.

    2
    « Weird »

This hotel was so weird. Huge internal space from the patio doors of each room which is full of gaming machines and sofas - so you have to have your curtains drawn otherwise the entire property can see into your room. This also meant that the rooms had no windows and thus no air - musty smell was awful. Checkin staff made a point of allocating myself and my partner (same sex) two doubles rather than the queen we had booked - not the kind of atmosphere to want to argue this at the time. Felt like we'd stepped back in time 50 years or so.

    « Friendly and Eco-friendly »

I appreciated the fact that they use shampoo, conditioner, and body wash wall dispensers instead of little bottles-less wasteful and easier to use. I appreciated and respected that you could put up a sign on your bed saying you didn't need your sheets changed, to be more eco-friendly. I loved how much fresh fruit they offered at the breakfast buffet-I love fresh berries! I would've liked it if they had bacon available at the buffet though. I also enjoyed the pool. The staff also always said hello to me when I passed through the lobby. Definitely recommend this place.

    « WICHITA NORTH B/W - 5/2016 »

I frequently stay at this hotel when I have business in the Wichita area. The location is very conveniently near the interstate and easy to access. Room is comfortable and spacious. With all the "excess" that I bring on my trips, that's extremely important to me, as well as the fact that I can get an outside entry to the room! Every time I've come here, that has always been one of the draws for me. For the Wichita area, this is a moderately-priced location. I like that, too.

« Very special breakfast for hotel guests »

We had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Best Western Wichita North (Park City). As we approached the property, it looked pretty isolated. Exit 13 on I-135 is pretty much abandoned by all but this motel, and the Country Kitchen restaurant, located inside the motel. The motel this weekend was 'filled' with multiple groups. One group was a high school choir, competing at their state competition. Another was a large 'diversion' group (whatever that means) that came with their own security guards. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable. The shower had separate dispensers for liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. I missed my bar of soap. The highlight was the daily breakfast at Country Kitchen in the motel. At check-in you get breakfast coupons. The restaurant staff was very friendly, helpful and accomodating. The food was delicious. Sunday morning was best. They had things in the breakfast buffet that I have never seen before...and were beautifully prepared. We also ate one lunch at the Country Kitchen. The food entrees were good. The Sunday complimentary breakfast buffet is the best!

« Just Keeps Getting Better »

I already had a pretty awesome opinion of this Best Western at the time of my last review, but they just keep getting better. Not only were they already great (what other hotel can you go to and practice your putting, play ping pong, shuffleboard, pool and visit an arcade all in the same building after you have gone swimming?!), but they continually make improvements to their rooms and services they offer to make it even better! The staff is always courteous and very helpful. The addition of a shuttle van was a great investment and definitely makes my trips out of town easier. Not to mention this is a very pet friendly hotel, so your furry four legged companion will undoubtedly love their stay here as well. This is still my home away from home when I am out of town for work!

    « Family Reunion »

This Best Western was conveniently located near restaurants and the interstate. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The Atrium area had games, billiards, ping pong, snacks in a vending area, and a pool. There are many sofas in conversation areas and tables and chairs for card or board games. Coffee is available at all times in the lobby. The breakfast is in the connected Country Kitchen restaurant. The buffet comes along with the room, and is very good, from oatmeal to egg casserole. The fruit is fresh and the service fast and friendly. This breakfast buffet is very good. The staff of the hotel was helpful and gracious. We met in a conference room for our reunion, which was furnished as requested after requesting a change in tables. Coffee and water were replenished as needed. We were allowed to post signs and posters. Two other conferences were going on at the same time.

« Most Friendly Staff Ever »

A certain "desk clerk" bent over backwards to make my group feel welcomed and important. I'm sure she did this for everyone and we weren't "THAT SPECIAL", but she sure made us feel like we were. We had a very pleasant time and enjoyed our stay.

This location was nice but the pool was COLD. No one could swim in it. We tried to swim in it, we saw others try to swim in it and you just couldn't stand it. We complained to the manager and we were told they had just changed the water but we talked with other guests and they had been their for several days and the water had been cold their whole stay

.we had a nice stay this yr. the rooms were clean, and roomy, one of two bed was comfortable. great maid service, and check in and check out was easy and pleasant. enjoy the big grassy yards for the dogs.since I was there for the dog show. not happy about paying a daily pet fee per dog per night think it should just be a one time fee for the dog/dogs as I am sure you don't deep clean till we leave. also you need a trash barrel out in the field for those of us who do clean up after our dogs and need a place to put our poo bags. restaurant was much better this yr. 100% improvement over this time last yr. as it was discusting last april. all in all very nice , clean safe motel and enjoyed stay.

« BEST IN THE AREA »

The Best Westerns in Park City, Kansas has been our choice of hotels to use for ourselves and when we have guests in the area. It has exemplary service and amenities. We always feel safe and well cared for. The commons area has a game area as well as a pool and a not tub, so it is ideal for family gatherings and for special events. We have celebrated several family birthdays at this facility and have been very pleased with the accommodations and the service. Park City is a safe and secure area and the hotel feels safe and secure as well. This is definitely a top notch hotel that puts service as the top priority. We appreciate having such a fine facility in our area and feel like it is without a doubt one of the BEST IN THE AREA.

The stay here was awesome. Frank in the dining area was an awesome friendly man. The job he did was above and beyond. The rooms were great, the beds were comfortable. I would really like to know where I can get those really comfortable pillows. We usually stay somewhere else but his may just be our change.

Nice Hotel, A little pricey They are remodeling and the place looks better than it did a couple years back. I believe that is the reason for the rates going up. Over all a nice place to say and a darn good breakfast for free. Don't forget to tip your waitress.

Most excellent restful hotel in North Wichita. From the moment I checked in I was met with kind hospitality and generous efficiency.I will stay there again with confidence. The best quality was the evident security and a delicious Full breakfast.Yummmm

« Very nice and comfortable »

Overall, very good for the price. Our room faced inward, with a back sliding glass door. This lead to the play area, the large area for eating, and the pool and hot tub. The only bad thing, the pool was not heated and was not fixed during out stay. And the hot tub was scolding hot, no one could get in. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

    « Great Convention/Meeting location »

This hotel is an excellent facility for a convention and/or meeting. Anna Hessler went out-of-her-way to ensure that we had a successful and stress free convention. We were provided with necessary equipment for our meetings. The meals were great. The free breakfast was wonderful.

    « Fun Stay »

Our stay would have tested hotel staff as we were two grandmothers with 10 grandchildren between us. Rooms were clean & staff super friendly and helpful. The pool and game area were the huge attraction and the main reason we chose this hotel. We could relax and let the children play and we could order pizza at the kitchen on site. The comp breakfast was delicious and had great service. Wonderful place to stay!

    « Good Stay »

I was in town for a week on business. Due to the location of the customer there was a limited options of hotels. I decided to try Best Western. It is a older hotel. It has all kind of extras, huge open area with TV, pool table, ping pong table, games and indoor pool. I know in it's day it was an awesome hotel. It needs some major renovations. They have a restaurant on site with a breakfast buffet. They give you coupons for the free breakfast. So, that is a very nice benefit. They have free WiFi that is pretty strong. I will be back in town for another two weeks. I will probably stay here again.

Very quiet and clean. Attached dining was good. The heated pool was cold and some tiles were loose but staff stated at check in they were working on it. Large lounge area with very comfy leather chairs and couches. Very nice and would stay again.

The Front Desk staff (Brenda) was amazing upon checking into the hotel. Greeted me upon entering the hotel lobby and was very courteous. The lobby, courtyard, and room were fresh and clean with comfortable beds and clean linen. I will recommend Best Western Wichita North over any hotel in the Wichita metro area. Thank You for making my stay exceptional!!

« Very well kept, clean, and a great value »

We stayed at the Best Western while passing through Wichita. We made our reservation on Priceline and received a great $48 rate. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very well kept, clean, and spacious hotel. There were many activities for the kids too (swimming pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong, arcade games, and mini golf putting area). The front desk staff member (I wish I could remember her name) that checked us in at around 9:30pm on 3/6/16 was extremely friendly and helpful. The free Breakfast at the Country Kitchen Restaurant was better than most free hotel breakfast options. Lastly, the wifi at this hotel was actually good, which is rare in many of my hotel experiences.

« Our stay at Best Western »

Overall this hotel was good. The Wi-Fi was not working and the breakfast was a little disappointing. The comfort of the beds were very nice. The staff was helpful and the rooms appeared to be clean. The location was right off the highway for easy access to the area attractions.

« HUGE older but nice »

this is an older property, but has been brought up to date nicely. The rooms here ARE ENORMOUS .. this would be a great place to stage a weekend wedding for 100 or 200 guests. the main suites overlook the midle section. A large ball room area. this was the 100% perfect stop over for a cross country drive .. price to value is above average??

« Put pet owners w/ loud dogs by each other. »

Noise was the biggest problem here. Dog barking half the night, and late night check ins( after midnight) w/ no consideration about their LOUD, rude ways by windows-doors of those who try to enjoy their stay also.

    « Texas Tour »

This hotel was perfect. It was honestly one of the best I've stayed in. First, there were two entryways, one to the parking in which I loaded my gear in and out with ease. Second, there were these handy soap dispensers in the shower with all the soaps a body might need. And last, everything was spotless. Not only were there about 5 comfy pillow on the bed, in starched white cases, but the remote control was sterilized. I give this hotel 5 stars!

This is a very clean Hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have stayed here for many years with my work and would recommend to anyone. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the atrium is awesome. The restaurant provides good service and fine foods as well. Park City is a nice area and close to other amenities.

    « Nice place »

Booking was quick and painless, it was nice to be able to use cash to avoid any "holds" on my cards, which can last longer than expected. The room was nice and clean, and the kids really enjoyed the courtyard and lots of room to run around and games to play. Little things impress me, so I noted the nice wooden bannister and clean lobby. Also 3rd shift housekeeper is something you don't often see. Terri was very nice and made registration a breeze. It really is a beautiful hotel with plenty of character. Having said that , we have only a few complaints. beware of parking. We were unable to find a parking spot near our room. after circling the lot a few times, we settled for a spot on the opposite end of the hotel. We noticed a lot of people hanging out in the courtyard and a few looked creepy and out of place. We determined that the hotel must host the DUI program on the weekends, making it like a jail program for offenders, complete with security guards and all. I would think that a hotel this nice would not need this type of business. Breakfast was only 2.5 hours long, so we missed that small window. We could not swim in the pool because it was so cold it felt like the polar bear plunge! But the hot tub was nice and large enough for several people. We ate at the attached "country kitchen" restaurant, the food took a long time and there were only a few people there. We only ordered one meal, a bowl of soup, and two kids meals, yet the bill ended up being $40. I left the restaurant feeling robbed. We ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel and paid the same for 3x the food and it is way better quality. Beautiful hotel, nice friendly staff

« Good place to stop »

Staff were very helpful, we arrived later than we wanted because of a traffic accident on the interstate below Ok City and our keys were ready. But they didn't work! When I went back to the front desk they were very apologetic and insisted on giving me a discount for my inconvenience! First time anyone has done that for keys. For the price the rooms were fine, bathroom sink area a little dated. Bed was clean and slept well. We had a pet so the fact that they had a door opening to the outside and also inside was useful. On the pool the website was clear that it was closed for maintenance. They have the Country Kitchen attached and they were very helpful and friendly, as we were late and therefore they were ready to close (a Sunday) they made up a warm meal to take back to the room. And the breakfast was far better than most places we stop - a nice egg, cheese, hash brown casserole as one of their choices. Even had real plates and silverware! And they took care of our coffee travel mugs for us. We would definitely stop there again.

Always nice and clean. Very easy access to I35 and very easy to get in to Wichita.. Excellent free breakfast. Staff is always very professional, yet friendly and caring. The room was very large. The hotel was very clean and well kept. I loved the large centre with all the games for kids and they can run around with plenty of room. The only thing is that the pool was out of order but everything else was kept very well.

« Pool IS BROKE DOWN! »

We were pleased that this Best Western had so many amenities but we had to cancel our reservation because the pool was not working properly. They were quick to cancel our reservation after calling trip advisor. If indoor pool availability is something you look for in your choice hotel please call the hotel to make sure it is working properly before completing your reservation with them! To save yourself time and hassle.

    « Not as advertised »

This was listed as a 3-star motel. It is maybe a 2-star. The entire property is old and worn out in every respect. Average on cleanliness; weak on mattress quality; noisy; definitely not worth the money.

We had a wonderful time here. We meet twice a year here and always have the best time. Possibly the best service in the industry and a perfect place for convention or to bring the family. We will continue to stay here as long as they will have us. I know that it is the best value in the industry by leaps and bounds

    « Bad Experience »

We stayed at this hotel thinking that for $175 a night it should be a very nice room. The room was worn and old and I woke up the next morning with a terrible allergic reaction. They must have let cats stay in the room previously. I advise everyone to avoid this hotel. It is too expensive for such mediocre unclean surroundings.

    3
    « Good Value »

It's not the newest motel...however, the rooms are large and clean, breakfast is much better than 90% of the included breakfasts I've experienced, friendly staff, good location, and overall a great value.

    « Good Stay »

We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi. The room was spacious and clean, and thank you! with double sinks and a counter for us to spread our stuff out on. The bed was a little soft for our liking, but didn't keep us from a good night's sleep - jacuzzi was a definite plus. Room was quiet. Only suggestion is bathroom ceiling tile needed to be replace due to water damage. Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, and worked great with each other. Next time we stop over in Witchita, we'll stay here.

« Great place for families »

This hotel is built around a large indoor area. It has a swimming pool, video games, shuffle board, large TV and many tables. it allows families to sit an play games or kids to play. We are senior citizens and wished we had brought our swimming suits. The restaurant connected to the hotel offered a good buffet breakfast included in the price of the room.

« Great place to stay, Constant improvements »

This is my go to hotel in the Wichita area. It is conveniently located, with easy access to major highway. From the outside appearance, just an older hotel. But once you go inside, the huge courtyard area is well done. It's a nice place for families and groups, as the courtyard is inviting. They are constantly redecorating, and I was very pleased with my early December stay with the tasteful, beautiful Christmas decorations. The breakfast is a hot buffet, which has some better foods than others, but is probably the best breakfast from hotels (other than the very high end properties.)

« Very nice hotel with great game/play/lobby area! »

Two kids (16 and 12) and I (mom) arrived in the late evening and were initially a bit concerned by the dark, outside room entrances (need a bit more lighting outside). But, this concern faded away when we saw that our room had a door at the other end as well, into the interior hallway. It was easy to unload the car into the room, and then we just kept that outer door locked and bolted for the rest of our stay and exclusively used the interior door. Room (2 queen beds) was completely remodeled with new fixtures, countertops, and carpet, and was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. Shower power was great--like a massage! We always appreciate the fridge and microwave, also present! The pool was being used when we arrived, but did become out-of-order soon after; kids didn't want to swim anyway, so that was not a problem for us. We did enjoy the central atrium/gathering area very much---huge area in center of hotel (surrounded by rooms) with pool tables, air hockey, putt-putt golf, shuffleboard, ping-pong, big-screen TV, fireplace, many couches and chairs, holiday decorations, etc. Great place for kids' team sports stays--wish the rest of our basketball teammates had joined us! Other teams and families were there--kids actively playing games, parents watching Big 10 football around TV and socializing, obvious remains of a group pizza party on tables. Breakfast tickets were included for the breakfast buffet at the attached restaurant--delicious! Sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, quiche, fruit, biscuits and gravy, plus all the usual cereal, toast, danishes, etc. Entire stay was very reasonable compared to other area hotels. We will definitely be back at this hotel on future kids' sports trips to Wichita!

From the moment we walked in the staff was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We felt the room was worth the nightly rate. This however, was a SMALL inconvenience. We plan on staying at this hotel on our next visit to Wichita.

« A regular stop for us in Wichita »

We have consistently found this Best Western an excellent place to stay for our purposes. We travel with our Siberian Huskies and while they have recently established a small pet fee, it is not terribly high and half of it goes to the local shelter. The rooms are large and comfortable and the location is very convenient for us to visit family. Being outside the circumferential highways, it is safer than center city and the traffic is not as high volume as on Kellogg or other major roads. The restaurant's breakfast has improved recently as well and having it included in the rate is a big help. Try for a room on the inside. Even though the courtyard can be noisy, the traffic from the interstate on the east side is pretty noisy also and we haven't found the rooms on the west side as nice.

« Nice hotel, but pool not maintained »

My family came to Wichita for a weekend and the only reason we stayed at this hotel was because of the indoor heated pool and the games for my son. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The games were priced reasonably and my son enjoyed them very much. The pool however, was disgusting. There was clumps of hair and what looked like saliva floating all over. It was cold water (from what my husband put his toes in), and it was extremely cloudy - as if it had not been chemically treated in over a week. I was not about to let my son swim in it. While we were in there, there was a man sitting to the side who was painting chairs and tables, who we later found out was the maintenance man. When we went to the front desk to inquire about the pool, the manager was not helpful at all. She stated that the pool was cleaned every morning, and when I said there is no way, she called the maintenance man to the front who stated he cleaned it that morning, and she took his word. She never offered to even go look at the pool to see for herself. Had I of been able to find another hotel with an indoor pool at such short notice, we would have packed and left. The manager was not helpful at all and I was extremely disappointed.

« Bug Bitten in Bed »

I noticed crickets in my room the night before, but didn't think too much about it. I woke up and was gone early because I had a lot of traveling to do. Several hours in to my trip, I started to itch on my arms, legs, chest, etc... Once I reached my destination, I counted no less than 25 bites all over my body. I had not gone anywhere aside from my room, to my vehicle so I wasn't in the vicinity of any bugs outside of these to entities. I had to come to the conclusion that my bed was infested with bugs. Feels like I've been somehow violated.

We have our Coca-Cola show here every 2 years & the staff goes out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast exceeds all expectations. The rooms are large & beds very comfortable.

This was a little out of the way but Wichata is not that big and the highways are great. Clean and great access to rooms. Parking lot lighting could be a little better but was OK. A lot of the rooms have outside entrances and I like that but some may feel a little at risk. I was on the back side and the lighting could have been better.

    « Needs Attention »

(Before the actual review, I want to acknowledge that the hotel manager has responded to my concerns in a very positive manner.) As another guest has noted, we found our room (#108) to be dark and gloomy. Rooms are arranged around a courtyard with windows only on that side, which means that unless you're comfortable with passersby having a full view into your room, the window coverings need to be closed. I would guess that there is also potential for noise. The beds were too soft or old to be comfortable and the linens felt cheap or old. It seemed that the room had not always been non-smoking. Front desk staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, especially in taking care of the total mess made by staff at the adjoining Country Kitchen restaurant, who managed to charge our room 5 times for a single meal. I give this hotel 5 stars for customer service but there needs to be some significant upgrading.

« VERY nice hotel ,I would stay here again. »

It is a Best Western, so you have a 95% chance it will be excellent. This hotel was clean, decorated nice, friendly staff, reasonable price $99. Easy to get to off interstate, parking was close and very well illuminated.

    « I'll be smarter next time. »

I've been here before, but not for years. Came to a scrapbooking event. Wanted to stay in a specific room, talked to someone on front desk and he said he would try to make it happen. Was called back in a few minutes and told room was available, and I could come register then (not yet 3 PM), went to check in desk and encountered Terri. She was pleasant and completed paperwork in a timely manner. At no time was I told that if I used a debit card they would charge me an extra $100. I had several credit cards with me, had I been told, I would have changed the card, but I wasn't. 2nd night there, I checked my bank account and found the extra charge.Went back to the front desk and asked for night manager. She told clerk (I heard her!!) she didn't want to be bothered! I insisted on speaking to her. Annie was not friendly, insisted all her staff would have made it clear to me that and extra $100 for incidentals would have been held. Said it would be reversed when I checked out, and she didn't have any control as to when my bank would reverse it. Not happy.

« pet friendly and comfortable, reasonable price »

we were very pleased with the friendly staff. the rooms were very clean , and loved the easy access from outside to bring our pets inside and out. The complimentary breakfast buffet was the best one I have had anywhere. Its an older Best Western but by no means shabby. We will say again next trip.

    « Great property...too good to miss. »

Super facility for travelers or for meetings. Unique layout, close to the interstate, clean, friendly staff, great rooms, good value. Don't drive past it if you need to stay anywhere in the area. I would give it 7 stars if possible.

    « A depressing experience »

A gloomy hotel with no bar, and the horror of our having to eat at a Country Kitchen. The hotel staff were very friendly, but not equipped with information of local restaurants, cafes, shops and such to help guests during their stay. The Country Kitchen staff were all new, and we had a half-hour adventure trying to get one of our colleagues, who was in his 80s, a pair of soft eggs.

    « Awesome hotel »

I was taken care of and if I didn't know, I could have been on a cruse ship with the feel of the enormous size of this hotel. I liked the shuffle board game, howbeit, I did not play. There is a vending game area with all sorts of electronic games. I would recommend it to everyone.
