    « Pleasant surprise »

I was quite surprised with how lovely the accommodation was here. Newly renovated, so everything looked nice & was in good condition. Only negatives was that the outside traffic was quite loud (but bearable), especially the trains but can't avvoid that unfortunately. Also they had cable television advertised but only free to air was available, not sure what we missed there. Overall was great, would stay again & would recommend to others.

Great service is always guaranteed. Modern rooms, kept fresh and updated. We stay every year when we make the drive over from Adelaide. Always welcoming. A pleasurable experience and a comfortable place to stay.

    « Just amazing »

The people and the service in that hotel is just purely amazing! The staff are friendly and the room was beautiful. The only concern I have about the hotel is that they need to maintain a certain level of stocks on products they offer.

    « Warm in Warragul. »

Enjoyed a great sleep at the BW. The rooms are nicely furnished in what looks to have been extensively renovated. Engaging proprietor who is on the ball and good for a chat. Great place to stay and great value. Enjoys the benefits of a bespoke property with the drive up motel concept which is so convenient.

    « Beautifully presented »

We visited Warragul for a special birthday celebration and were delighted with the location and presentation of this motel. It was CLEAN, newly and elegantly decorated and equipped with all we needed. The bed was so comfortable and snuggly (being winter). We have already recommended it to a few people at the dinner we attended. The young man at reception was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a very comfortable stay.

Overnight stay here was lovely. Rooms very clean & well appointed. Beds are amazingly comfortable! Staff are very friendly & helpful with local activity info. Great location off the highway and close to shops. Heating well appreciated in the cold winter.

    « Comfortable and Updated »

Whilst it's on the main road it's very quiet and comfortable. The rooms are a little small but have been recently updated and are clean and compact. Bathroom has a great selection of amenities and the shower works well. As a rep on the road the only down is the capped Internet and lack of cable movie channels

« From the West, we found this the best! »

Cheap, no frills, great little motel for business trip to Warragul. Owner was great, room comfortable, clean and just what we needed. Room had decent amenities, tea and coffee making facilities and bed was warm and cosy. Air con was nice and not noisy.

    « Super helpful host »

This was top spot to explore Warragul and Baw Baw Nat Park by bike. Super helpful host helped us find cycling routes and places to eat out in this vibrant town near Melbourne. Room was very clean, modern and quiet. Short walk to town.

    « What a wonderful hotel »

I can't say enough good things about this motel, from it's comfortable beds, to the most perfect shower. I was tempted to haul the shower back home :) Don't let the outside fool you, this is a fantastic place to stay. After a few days in other motels on our trip and a plethora of hard pillows and tiny towels, the Warragul Motel gave us the most relaxing and comfortabe night. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty and the manager was both pleasant and very helpful. Top marks to this motel

    « Relaxing »

Great position in Warragul. Manager was great. Our room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful gardens just outside with a nice relaxing area. There was also a very good range of food for breakfast. The motel was excellent for cleanliness everywhere.

    « Great Manager.well maintained Motel. »

The Best Western Motel was exactly what we wanted. The room was beautifully presented , so clean, not big ,however, everything was there fluffy towels, tea making and biscuits,a outdoor setting that we took advantage of with our friends to drinks,in the next room that Peter, the ever so obliging Manager organised. We dined at The golf club 3 minutes by car and that was excellent.

    « Hidden Jewel »

Have just stayed a couple of nights in a Warragul motel which can only be described as a "hidden jewel". It sits below road level and has great gardens out front. Our room was tastefully decorated and was spotlessly maintained and contained everything one needs for a stopover. The bed was big and comfy and the linen and towels were like new. It's close to town, restaurants and around the corner from an impressive looking golf club. The motel owner is a lovely guy, nothing was too much trouble and he has a great knowledge of the local area. I highly recommend this 4 star motel.

« Nice condition and pleasent stay »

Met by a very helpful guy (owner?) in reception. Room was somewhat compact, but well appointed, good bathroom and great shower. We loved the back door opening onto a grassed area between the street and the motel. Very comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep. Although close to the main road, the motel is below street level, so noise is not an issue.

« Two night stay - Comfortable beds. »

The lounge, kitchen, dinning are quite dark due to small windows. It would have been nice to have a view. Our booking was Two bedroom apartment with garden views??? No views. The bedrooms had windows, which were small, l guess to block traffic noise but the view was to a dirt patch, very unwelcome. If they put some work into this area it could be beautiful, the gardens at the front of the other rooms are beautiful but there are no views from Room 22, located upstairs. The road noise & the train noise didn't really bother us, they both quietened down later in the night. Last train noise l heard the 1st night was at about 11pm & 2nd night about 10. Not a deal breaker. The position of the toilet to the shower was not very good ( if you had long legs not a lot of room). The shower door opens onto the toilet. Also the shower doesn't drain properly, once again not a big deal. Thought the price we paid was a bit pricey as we were expecting more views than we got. The apartment has had a recent update so very nice inside. The beds & pillows were very comfortable, closest to my bed at home of any accommodation I've stayed at. The apartment was comfortable, rooms pretty good size & it was clean. We didn't eat here so can't comment on food. Bathrooms were updated & new, had all you could want like, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, body lotion etc on tap. They have thought of everything really - shower caps, hairdryer etc. Nice big shower & good water pressure (was a tad noisy though when the water in the shower is running). Couch was comfortable, apartment had 3 air conditioners & 3 TVs, so kids were happy. Lady on reception was very pleasant on arrival & the man on department was also very nice.

« WOW - Amazing, funky, stunning, immaculate motel! »

Ok its a little bit noisy but we changed rooms and stayed further back from the road so it was ok. The rooms are stunning with all new furniture, cushions, sheets, fluffy towels , curtains and a 1960's vibe with beautiful courtyards for each room. What a lovely surprise, one of the best motels Ive ever stayed in which re-defines the Australian motel experience. It's out of town but beautiful gardens and flowers - I want to go back. Absolutely loved it!

    « Overnight Success »

Was recommended by staff at Drouin hotel. Riding 7 hours and being drenched by oncoming storms, all I wanted was a hot shower and a comfy bed. Expectations were blown away once I got there. The manager ( Peter ) was ever so helpful, the room was very clean and looked magnificent. The bathroom even more so, plus a shower you could fit the whole family in that actually has HOT water. Overall, best overnight stay I have had, highly recommended a stay to anyone else.

    « Comfortable Stay »

This motel offers much. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The rooms contained a kitchenette that included tea making facilities, microwave as well as cutlery. The bathroom had all bathing needs as well as sewing kit, shaving set, toothbrush and paste. The bed was most comfortable. All areas were clean and well kept. The room was quiet. The motel offered a breakfast in a separate room as a set rate. This could be either a continental or a cooked breakfast. The price was at the upper end but not too expensive fro the services and quality offered.

« How dare they call this luxury? »

Calling this place a luxury motel is blatant false advertising. It is a very basic budget motel with rooms 15 metres from the incoming lane from Melbourne with zero protection in between. Easily the noisiest motel room I've ever stayed in. Asking for anything, even the things that are advertised is like pulling teeth. Management comes across as feeling guests should just sleep there and spend all their daytime away from the motel for managements convenience. Asking for more coffee and milk is like asking management to do a backflip. Slightly above back packers but NOT 4 stars. I notice management dismisses complaints as ficticious. No PR skills at all. There are 3 other, much better motels in Warragul to choose from and plenty more not far away. Very disappointing performance.

    « Stunning rooms »

I stayed here around the Christmas/New Year period for one night and its was lovely. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the bathrooms are stunning also. My friend and I stayed but there was only one bed (she didn't check before hand) and there was not cot we could borrow so one of us camped in our sleeping bag, that was the only small downfall. I do highly recommend though for couples/solo travellers!

    « A great place to stay »

We chose this motel as we were driving towards Warragul and were lucky to get a room last minute. At check in, check out and in between Peter, the host/owner was both friendly and helpful. We were given room number 5 which was a ground level room with a little outdoor sitting area. The room was modern and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The first place we had stayed where the person on the desk remembered my first name and used it. Two definite thumbs up for this motel and Peter and would definitely recommend it.

« Would definitely stay again... »

Requested one of the $110 rooms but they were sold out so we went for a Studio room at $140. Room was spacious and clean with modern decor, and very quiet. Room had its own outdoor terrace area. Bed was very comfortable and bonus - top sheet! Good size flat screen TV mounted on wall. Huge bathroom. We were very comfortable here and would definitely stay again and for this reason I hesitate mention that the sign out front says Austar and Qantas points available but our room did not have Austar and we were told our room rate was discounted and therefore we couldn't use the Qantas card.

« Lovely spot with great service! »

Peter and his team certainly deserve their number one rating on Tripadvisor. From the first phone call to make inquiries to the time we checked out Peter and his staff were very helpful and thoughtful. Our rooms were very comfortable and nicely appointed. Being able to open the door to enjoy the breeze and roses was a lovely bonus. We would happily stay here again.

    « Stole Our deposit »

was forced to put a deposit of 150$ after being told simply paying for the room was not enough, witch is fine by its self only he then wouldn't return the deposit then screwed us around for 3 weeks then blocked our number , 150$ down the drain , the room was damp and the service was non existent. avoid at all costs.

    « 6 Star service »

The Best Western Warragul what can I say!!! This would have to be one of the best hotels I have ever stopped in. The bed and so comfortable and the staff are so help in there service. I would highly recommend this hotel to any looking for great affordable accommodation.

    « Super nice »

I remember when this hotel was the ugly duckling of Warragul but no more. It's been totally transformed into a sophisticated modern comfortable place to rest. After staying in quite a few hotels in Gippsland, this is by far the best. The room is spacious and well equipped with microwave, toaster, crockery and all you'd need. The bed was fantastic, big soft mattress topper and choices of pillows. The bathroom was huge although I would have liked a hook for the towel. Yes there was some road and train noise but further in the night it died right down. You can't walk to town but it's not far away with Aldi the closest supermarket. So yes I recommend this lovely modern motel which is comparable to a very good hotel in the city.

« our stay at Warragul Motel Best Western »

Highly recommend for anyone to stay there as it was quite and the facilities of excellent quality would happily stay there again breakfast which was a buffet continental and bacon and eggs available was of high standard and very filling

« Invaders of privacy. Rip off. »

Well, what can I say about the Warragul Best Western motel? Extremely rude staff led by the arrogant Peter Van Kaathoven. When this creep isn't trying to make people feel like he's doing THEM a favour by letting them stay there, he's creeping around at all hours of the day or night... wait for it,,,, LOOKING IN THE WINDOWS when guests are in their rooms!! Seriously!!! Apart from that the room was filthy, the walls are paper thin and the noise from the road and train tracks ensure a restless night's sleep. Do NOT stay here if you want to be treated as a guest and have any privacy at all. You're a weirdo Peter. Get help.

« Nicely renovated, Great Manager »

We stayed here for just one night as we had a wedding in the area. Check in was friendly and quick. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are equipped with tea/coffee, hairdryer, mini bar, iron, toiletries (toothbrush, comb, sewing kit etc) and information on local taxis and restaurants. The water pressure in the shower is brilliant and the bed is very comfortable. The room has a outdoor area with table and chairs overlooking a nice garden area. We did have an issue with a broken TV but this was mentioned to the manager Peter who reported it. We were only in the room for a short period of time so not having a TV was not an issue. Check out was friendly and would definitely stay here again if in the Warragul area again.

    « Fantastic motel »

Pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall feel of this motel when I stayed for four nights two months ago. I was first put in a large room, with super comfy bed, couch and table and chairs, and mini kitchenette. Decor was contemporary and room was large, clean and comfortable. On the third night I was moved upstairs to a two bedroom apartment, full kitchen, lounge and dining. Both queen bedrooms had their own tv, and heating/cooling. Bath in bathroom very clean, as was everything. I am back again now, this is my third night. In the two bedroom again, although this time the second bedroom has two single beds, which suits perfectly as I am staying with my eight year old daughter. We frequent many hotels and apartments in Melbourne, and this unsuspecting motel in Warragul is certainly up there. Would definitely recommend! Ps, the beds are extremely comfortable, (I'm going to request a late checkout just to enjoy it a little longer), and the pillows are so divine, I am ordering some for myself at home!
