    « Excellent Family Getaway »

Wonderful stay right on the beach. Lovely room with a balcony and plenty of space overlooking the ocean. Love having the kitchenette and it was very nice to have a pool and hot tub available. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Plenty to do with Astoria and Tillamook so close bye.

« Great Service, great rooms, great stay!! »

We stayed in 2 adjoining suites for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the beds! We had a couple things go wrong with our room, and the manager was very accommodating! The server that worked the night of 21st and day of 23rd was the best! Thank you for making our experience at your hotel a memorable one! The only thing I can really criticize is that the walk to the beach was not attended to, as there were beer bottles, trash, and even someone's sock laying in the pathway for the 3 days we were there! We will definitely recommend this hotel!

    « Best western stay »

During the stay we had great prompt service. If anything needed done they were right there to make it right. One night my other half went to lay on the bed and the head board fell down shutting down out phone services. My and my son went to the lobby and within 5 minutes maintenance was there to fix it. Great attitude. My best experience was with the employee conner at the front desk.

    « Great weekend! »

We stayed at the BW for a conference and had a great stay! Go for an ocean view room and you won't be disappointed! On-site restaurant that is good and even a little pub. Very friendly staff and the rooms have everything in them that you need - if they don't the staff will get it for you. Great location to all the going-on's in Seaside!

« Superior Service and Location »

Stayed here over the weekend with a group of 30. We absolutely loved the location and view of this hotel - right on the beach and with a stunning view of the ocean. The hotel also offered outstanding service to our group. The meals were superb and he service was prompt and friendly. We will make it part of our normal rhythm to come here.

« Great place to stay-Beautiful view and Great Staff »

We were at the hotel for a team building retreat weekend. Really enjoyed this hotel and staff. We had about 30 people and enjoyed the Lewis & Clark conference rooms, as well as the catered dinners and breakfast. The hotel staff put together a team building exercise that was very fun and exciting for our group. The rooms and view were A plus. Everything you would need for a nice stay. I even left my phone charger, and they were happy to put it in the mail for me. Very accommodating. Excellent location year round. Lots of stuff to do, even in the off season.

    « Perfect weekend »

My husband and I decided at the last minute to take a weekend respite. We thought long and hard about where we could head that wouldn't be too far from our home, but far enough that we would feel like we'd really gotten away. Conclusion: Seaside, Oregon, and specifically the Best Western Ocean View. We've actually stayed at the Best Western on many occasions over the past ten or so years, but hadn't been there in over a year. We were surprised to find so many updates since our last visit, when we thought nothing needed improvement! The front desk is so warm and welcoming, and even though we hadn't been down in a while, remembered us! There is a restaurant onsite, and everything is within walking distance. We love the promenade and the fact the hotel is literally "on the Prom"! Was it a good weekend? No, it was a great weekend, and we can't wait to go back!

    « Very small room »

Stayed for one night during our trip down Oregon coast. The room we were given was VERY small. Bed barely fit in room with small bathroom that you couldn't even turn around in. Rugs needed cleaning. Wi-fi didn't work - there was no service. The area was nice - right by ocean and boardwalk. Very nice sights and cute and quaint downtown. We loved the town, but probably wouldn't stay again at this hotel. Room wasn't worth value - no view or balcony and way too small

« Not set up to service the working population »

We are up and out the door at 6 am. Today I asked why there hasn't been coffee available in the lobby when we leave in the morning. Mystery solved...they only cater to the after 7 am crowd. Time to find a more work friendly motel.

« Unfriendly to business travelers »

I am so done with this hotel. I travel a lot for business and usually hotels bend over backwards to accommodate business travelers because they know they get our repeat business. Not so here! They want to stick their business traveler with the worst hotel room I have ever seen - so small you can hardly walk around the bed and your window opens up into a noisy outside corridor - terrible! I am traveling during off season on a Sunday and Monday when I'm sure they have an abundance of nice rooms and they still want to give me this lousy tiny dungeon room - nope too many hotels who treat their business travelers right - I will go elsewhere.

    « Enjoyable Stay »

We stayed here while traveling along the Oregon coast. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and our dogs. The room was spacious and clean. The beach was only steps from our room. This is a good location for families. We would stay here again. The only negative was the onsite restaurant. We were disappointed by their food. Otherwise the stay was great.

« Teeny, tiny, miserable room »

I am a member of Best Western Rewards, I booked this room in advance. I have booked many rooms with BW which I expect to be up to a certain standard no matter the price category. This room was a complete surprise; not in a good way! Room 403-A is listed as Queen bed, "small, economy size room, non-view" for $110 plus tax. We were a couple in town for one night, so didn't need a big room w/view. It turned out to be a connecting room to another bedroom (more like a walk-in closet). By the time you line up a table, chair, fridge w/mw on top, tv on drawers you can hardly turn around! The room is on an old outside corridor area facing parking lot. Outside noise and light coming in room, old stuck closed windows, lumpy bed. The hotel was full, so could not change rooms. Only positive was it was clean & had good quality bed linens. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. This is a tourist area and IMO this is taking advantage of travelers.

    5
    « Wonderful Experience »

Decided to come south to Seaside on a lark and hit a beautiful, sunny, off-season day! Room rates were great and BW was kind and welcoming to our dogs. We loved our room with it's gas fireplace and mini-kitchen. So cozy! We will definitely return.

    2
    « Expected more »

the second room was small, size of my bedroom at home. The door leaked air and the hot tub was not hot, just warm. the front desk staff need to dress appropriately for the position that they hold. When I had an issue with an alarm the housekeeping staff was not helpful.

    2
    « Cold/noisy »

The room was very cold and breezy. There was a draft coming in under the door from the breezeway. Even after we turned up the thermostat it didn't warm up. The fireplace in the room was broken so that didn't help with the heat issue. The people in the room next door kept slamming the door and running around in their room. It sounded like they where having a party. For the price I wasn't impressed.

    2
    « Wrong Room »

I reserved a top floor room & was stuck with a second floor room. The best part of the room was the bed: very comfortable I may or ay not stay there again.. That pretty much sums up my experience. Thanks Timothy Lee Edwards

    « Refund! »

I was charged for a room when my family didn't even stay at this motel. I've always had great luck with Best Western, buy this has been awful. I have sent emails (with no response) and called multiple times and get told something different every time I call!

    3
    « too breezy & lonely dogs »

The room was clean & would have been comfortable if there was not a freezing wild blowing none stop through the hallway and under my door, when I spoke the desk staff I was given a blanket - I hadn't expected to hide under covers all evening. A small dog barked and whined for over 3 hours non stop so loud I couldn't hear my own tv, Very disappointing - pet friendly hotels should require guests attend to their pets & not abandon them. price of hotel was very reasonable

    4
    « Good spot for ocean-front stay »

All's OK with this Best Western in silly Seaside, OR. Two nights of accessible comfort. Close, but removed from the Broadway carny. Able to access the boardwalk/promenade and beach out the door. Dog friendly too!

    « Excellent view »

First stay, room was really nice balcony a little small but it compensated with jacuzzi tub in room with view of ocean. Room was very clean, staff so far was really polite, parking is tight but we did bring our ctew cab truck.

    « The View!! »

Racheal was the nice young lady I spoke to when making reservations and spoke to again to get some more info - she was very helpful and welcoming on the phone. Hubby and I booked 2 nights to celebrate my 65th birthday. Off-season rate was smashing good value for a really nice king, with sofa, additional queen wall bed, fairly well-equipped kitchenette with table and 2 chairs. Bathroom is nicely done, but very small.. I am a rabid germaphobe - so when I say it was clean - believe me - it was clean. First live impression at front desk - not so pleasant. The female clerk (not Racheal) that registered us was very aggressive about our obeying "The RULES"! No ifs and or buts...like we were hard-partying college kids looking to sneak in some circus animals, get "likkered" up, smoke dope and cigarettes, then throw room furniture off the balcony... .......remember I said we were there for my 65th BD. She was not dressed very professionally at all and was quite off-putting with a strident attitude. And, I did have a conversation later that day with the day manager who seemed to really hear my complaint. Now, having gotten that off my chest - the room was more than we expected for the money, the view was incredible, and the kitchen quite functional for our needs. The kicker is that we were there during the 100-year storm....power outage! We had requested and got the 5th floor - so no elevator ....and we had to cancel our dinner reservations in Astoria due to the really ferocious winds and rain. Instead of filet mignon, we ate some crackers and cheese with our long-yearned-for $500 bottle of Napa Cab - by...wait for it - no, not candles - but by a flashlight my brilliant hubby had thought to pack! We used the hot tub and pool both nights and found them to be clean and quite relaxing. On the second night the hot tub was full of screaming children. All in all - we found it to be a really nice place to stay for a couples retreat. Our housekeeper, Magali, was very sweet and changed our bed linens when asked, cleaned the kitchen efficiently and quietly with a pretty smile. We don't care about "free breakfast" - that's why we wanted a small kitchen - and we could have our coffee first thing in the morning while still in our jammies - looking out to a million dollar view. We will stay again I am sure.

« Horrible staff. Absolutely horrible. »

Room was great and food was good but the staff was absolutely horrible. Let me rephrase that, the bar and restaurant staff was horrible. Over ringing, under ringing and too many red flags of theft popping up everywhere, plus the tweaker drug dealers eating there that were very loud about there business. The front desk was a little unorganized but did good. My biggest problem was that I checked in at 5pm and checked out at 9pm.... and with a distraught look on my face and no one bothers to ask if anything was wrong to make my departure so abruptly. Even offer a matched rate for a later time.

    2
« Weird layout, no breakfast? »

Impossible without a major remodel. The layout of the hotel (I was told the corridors were inside), outside/covered corridors leading to rooms was a weird layout...you walked in - then outside - then in again, felt strange. And no breakfast? We would never stay at this hotel again, and certainly not recommend it to our friends. Was very close to the sand/beach - great location, too bad the hotel did not match it.

    1
    « Still hasn't changed »

This hotel has got to be the worst. The price is not very good and the attitude of some of the staff is horrible. They never have coffee. The cafe in the hotel is even worst. The food was horrible and the price not much better. The service was very slow as well. I thought I would give this hotel one last chance and once again it disappointed me.

« Great hotel in Seaside »

We were pleasantly surprised, since this was not a "plus" or "premiere". Very nice facility, and our room was lovely. We had a Jacuzzi next to the window facing the ocean, as well as a small deck and fireplace! We will definitely return!!

    5
    « Great Experience »

I had made a mistake in my booking, and front desk staff Connor went way out of his way to help me and corrected the mistake. He saved the day for us while juggling fellow travellers on a busy check in evening. The resort is lucky to have him. We also had an excellent dinner and breakfast in their restaurant Salvatores. Our room had a beautiful ocean view, excellent bedding and was very quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Connor!

    4
« Get away with kids »

Decent place, nice enough staff, well maintained pool and nice furnishings. The wifi is only so so and is almost non-existent in the room we were in (101A) on the SE corner of the bottom floor. All in all the place is decent.

    4
« Great Location, friendly staff »

This hotel is on the boardwalk in Seaside, and is a comfortable 5 minute walk to the main entertainment area of Seaside. Beach is just steps away and views are exceptional. We were here the last day of the Labor Day weekend, so it was very busy. Room was great, lots of space, comfortable and quiet. Would certainly stay here again, but would plan the stay later in the month as it was so busy.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

This was a great hotel to stay at. Their rooms are clean. The staff is help full. They have a great view of the ocean and easy access to the beach! They have balconies to sit at and watch the ocean! There restaurant is good too. I will be staying at this hotel again!

    3
« Could have been better »

The hotel is in a great spot on the beach and the rates are reasonable compared to the other hotels on the beach. The rooms are average, the wifi is unsecured and drops a lot. The walk to the boardwalk is short and access to the beach is easy. The staff is accomodating but appearance could be more professional. The interior is subject to the weather because it is open to the air so it could be hot or cold and the wind whips through the hallway.

    « Nice place »

Nice place to stay. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. Clean and quiet place to stay. Beautiful view of the beach from the lovely jetted tub in the room.Nice deck to sit on and enjoy the sound of the ocean.

« Great value, nice staff »

Stayed here a night with my daughter and son in law. Clean rooms. Tried to upgrade at check in but they where booked, will definitely come here again but next time book a bigger room. Beach access was easy, quiet, stayed in the 5th floor...over all happy with our stay.

    4
    « Very nice Motel »

Very Clean, comfortable, quiet room, a very nice, well kept up Motel! Loved the full size queen Murphy bed that was also a couch. BUT- Skip the breakfast- the food in the restaurant did not match the quality of the motel

    4
« Lovely Ocean View on the Promende »

We stayed at this location for 2 nights. The check-in went very smoothly and we were upgraded to a second floor kitchenette with a balcony and fireplace. There was an excellent view of the sunset and of the Promenade below. On the other side of the promenade the beach is natural. There are plenty of dining choices closer to the center but it is maybe a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The room was very clean, spacious and well supplied. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. Internet was free and worked well. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is the neighborhood. Our initial reaction on arrival at registration on the back of the hotel was that the area didn't seem safe, but we never experienced any problems. From the beach side of the building the feel is much nicer. Also, there was only one laundry room for the entire 4 story building and it had only 2 sets of washer/dryers and one dryers did not work. At the same time, the vending and ice machine room was placed out of order and locked because the snack machine was broken. We never saw anyone attempting to fix the issue. We would probably stay there again if we are in the area.

    5
    « Amazing service! »

We got here at 1 am and they gave us the last room they had. The next morning a larger room opened up and they upgraded us. We packed our bags and they moved everything over to the new room while we were gone. They set up our pillows and blankets and even moved the things we forgot in the fridge. Amazing service the whole 5 days we were there! We will definitely stay here again!

    5
« Great Pet Friendly Hotel »

This is a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and lounge staff are nice as well. We arrived at the hotel late one night and they kept the restaurant open past closing so we could get some food. The primary reason we return here though is because they are very pet friendly. We will continue to stay at the Best Western when we visit Seaside

    5
    « Great hotel »

We stayed on 3rd floor in a lovely room with kitchenette, kingsize bed and large balcony facing the sea. But our neighbor got very noisy from 11 pm. I woke up smelling cigarette smoke and a dog was barking and a woman talking very loud. Right on the other side of a connecting door. I would suggest keeping smokers and pets at separate floors. But we will be back because apart from this it is just wonderful. And so is Seaside. We were happy with breakfast and dinner and the service.

« Had my wedding here »

I got married here and purchased there elopement package. Honestly I planned on giving them the worst review ever due to some of the experiences. The person who plans and books the wedding left and when that happened things got crazy. No one else knew what was going on I talked to 4 different people and would get different answers and a week before I was getting married I was in panic. One of the people I talked to Brooke was by far the worst she is rude and has no idea what she is talking about. Morgan the manager is nice but horrible at returning calls. In the end Christie who was taking over for the wedding planner while away final called me two days before my wedding to find out what I wanted with my package. So the bouquet that comes with the package is nice the cake was very pretty but taste was not the best. Food was amazing and all 20 of my guests ate for about $400 which with the package includes $200 credit already toward dinner. The smores part of the package was very nice once it happened but nothing was setup and had to wait. The room book was suppose to be the jacuzzi room but when got there they said that is not the room I had so make sure you are 100% clear on what your getting and who you talk to. Honestly just hope that the event planner is there. Now the saving grace for this hotel and package was the service I received from the waiter Jayjay he is absolutely amazing and if you decide to eat in the restaurant or have your wedding here request him. He was very kind, patient, accommodating. He served all 20 of us and did it very well in a timely manner. He needs to take over some of the higher jobs in the company because he's amazing. The other person who was amazing is Lindsey she is kind and understanding and love that she goes the extra mile to accommodate already frustrated guests and bride. So for anyone reading this review know that I would have given you the lowest rating but due to those two employees they are what prevented that from happening.

    4
    « Beautiful spot! »

We enjoyed our stay here so much! We were upgraded due to a booking snafu, and loved our room with ocean view balcony, fireplace and beach access. Clean and well appointed rooms, even a kitchenette! It was on the "Seaside Prom" so it was ideal for bike riding, strolling and close to Broadway. Loved our stay here!

« Fall Trip to Northern Oregon Coast »

We stayed for 3 nights in Seaside at the BW Ocean View Resort this October. Rooms were nice and quiet and the beds were comfortable. There is a restaurant at the Motel and we ate there once during our stay. They service was very slow, very slow. Food was good after we got it. We would recommend the Ocean View highly but beware of the restaurant. Hopefully they will get their act together.

« Nice hotel but beware of Economy Rooms »

I booked two nights at this hotel through an Express Deal on Priceline. I knew I was not getting an ocean front room but I didn't realize that the Economy queen rooms were much smaller than normal hotel rooms. The window looked out onto an exterior hallway so there was very little natural light. The room decor had been updated, the ocean front location was great and the complimentary breakfast offered a lot of variety. The room, however, was very cramped for two people

    2
« Not given room i was told. »

I was told I would be on the second floor w/ a mountain view. ( City view), i even called and confirmed a few days before, and was not informed of a 50$ incidental charge, that i would get back when i checked out. When I go to check in. Okay check in staff, I was put in a handicap room on ground floor. I hate being in those rooms, just because if there was a handicap person that needed the room, they wouldve gotten turned away due to it being booked. First time in Seaside and Probably wont go back to this hotel.

    5
    « Romantic Getaway »

Booked this hotel with the intention to propose to my girlfriend. The room was everything I expected, jet Jacuzzi tub with a beach front/Ocean view, large master bed, walk in shower and balcony. I ended up coming down with an pneumonia and the outing wasn't so romantic after all. I did propose (she said yes) and tried to make the most of the day/evening. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Great location and amenities. Tons of things to do near by and the price was reasonable.

    5
« Friendly service, great ocean view great room »

We were comped a room at this hotel by Worldmark, so we would attend a sales presentation. I cannot get over how well we were treated by all staff members we dealt with. If you haven't ever stayed here, and you like the ocean...what's stopping you? It's great.

    1
    « most disgusting $400 room ever. »

We booked in advance a $400 plus tax ocean view room, received a bottom floor room looking at a swing set. The room was crowded with furniture, I suppose from other rooms. The bathroom smelled of urine. We were afraid to put our bags down or touch anything. We walked out and voiced our concerns. Apparently nothing could be done for us and $400 is not a lot to pay for a room and still expect a clean room with an ocean view. We left and found another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.. Their rooms need updated and cleaned. I put this as a mid range hotel and our room should have been a nicer room, because I can not imagine this being a luxury hotel.

    4
    « Great beach view! »

My husband and I recently visited Portland and wanted to drive to the ocean and spend the night. Since a beach view was important, we requested anything except the ground floor facing the ocean. The room was clean, people were friendly and the view was beautiful. There is no air conditioning which had us concerned since it was August, but the night was cool and we slept with the sliding door open. Breakfast buffet was delicious!

    5
« Great place to enjoy the beach »

The view was awesome and the service was great, Rachel Jones was very helpful and kind. Also there are lots of places to shop and plenty of restaurants to choose from to fined really good food. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    5
« Loved the room, view, and staff! »

We stayed two nights in two different rooms. Racheal at the front desk booked our rooms for us and we were not disappointed. The partial ocean view had a lovely view up the beach, and the full ocean view was to die for. Racheal and Heidi at the front desk were so friendly and helpful, recommending great restaurants, explaining the services and helping with my corgi. I will definately be back.

    4
« Lovely location in Seaside »

Hubby and I spent two nights here earlier this month. Basic, but nice, Best Western property. No morning breakfast like many of others we've stayed at, but there is an on site restaurant with a buffet breakfast. We found this motel to be very clean and quiet, with friendly employees, and probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in! Our room ended with an "a", so I guess that meant something besides no view. Personally, I don't need a view when I can go outside to see the beach.

    5
    « Ocean sunset view. »

An excellent hotel. Westside rooms have a view of the ocean which is beautiful during the sunset set. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that caters to families and groups. This hotel is worth every penny.

  • 3
    « Won't be back »

We will not be back to this Hotel. This is our second time and both times the restaurant was closed at least one of the days. The jacuzzi, in the room, was great. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a TV picture - not heat from it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom. No table and chairs to sit at to play games.

    5
    « Great accommodation »

Wow the view by the boardwalk is georeous. Hut tub in the room looking at a huge beach. White sand beaches, and areas of light grass. The price this time of year great price. The staff very friendly and accomadating. We got here very early they had our room ready by 2:00pm. Great room, huge chair. We had plenty of room except the bathroom no sink. Other than that it was perfect.

    3
« Not the best location.... »

Not in a great location, not all rooms are ocean view, no screens on the slider door, no breakfast included, wi-fi was not secure connection, restaurant closed too early, hotel rooms are old and need to be updated.

    2
    « Company Banquet Nightmare »

To start out...the pros are that this hotel is right on the beach and the rooms are nice. But don't eat here. It isn't worth the time, effort, or money and don't expect exceptional guest service. Long story short, the (front desk) staff is not trained well. They have horrible customer service skills, and are very rude and short with the customers. I booked a company outing for our employees and their families to come enjoy the beach and have a catered dinner in one of the hotel banquet rooms. Upon checking in, I asked the gentleman helping me if I could please get the name of whoever was handling our banquet so that I could check in with them and get some questions answered about the menu (we have an employee with food allergies and the person I coordinated the banquet with never answered my questions about whether or not this person would be able to eat everything on the menu. Then she suddenly went on maternity leave...) I was told by this young man....not so politely that the person in charge of banquets was busy setting up a banquet and did not have time to talk to me. I was a little more than shocked. We had reserved 17 rooms (which by the way were not given to us...the cheapest room was $174 which for September at Seaside is about $25 more than we were paying for the rooms at the Inn at Spanish Head in Lincoln City - which is a MUCH nicer hotel). I was told that this young man would contact whoever was in charge of the banquet and that he would have them call me, so I should go wait for that phone call in my room. I did and I received a call from Lindsey who was very nice, answered my questions and apologized for the rudeness of the staff at the front desk. I felt better about everything....for a moment. Then I get a call from my boss saying that they are telling him that our bar has a $400 limit and after that everyone has to pay for their own drinks. He wasn't happy about that so I went downstairs and tried to straighten it out. Christie, who was our "banquet captain" was also very short with us and explained that after the $400 we would need to put a credit card down to pay the rest of the bill and that the master bill would only go up to $400 in bar charges. This wasn't how it was explained to me by the sales person, but okay. No problem. We can do that. So when my boss asked her to remove the prices written on the chalk board at the bar so that our staff did n't think they had to pay for their drinks, she said "they can just ignore those". Rather than saying, "absolutely. I will go take care of that right now". So we (my boss and I) went over to the chalk board and erased the prices ourselves. Don't even get me started about the bar. Drinks were $7 each and they would only serve us call brands (Jose Quervo, etc.). No premium alcohols at all. And, our "assortment" of beers consisted of Bud Light. Yes, the assortment was one beer... and a bad one at that. So when we pointed that out, they went and got a few Corona's and put those out. The wine....box wine. Yeah, super fancy. So now the appetizers come out. They are good. Everyone thought the bacon wrapped scallops were great. I thought the bacon was very fatty and they were really greasy. But, as long as others enjoyed them...that's all that matters. So then dinner gets served. We ordered Prime rib and halibut served with a salad, mashed potatoes and vegetables. There were only two people working our banquet. The banquet captain Christie, and our bartender. So about halfway through our 50 or so people, we run out of prime rib. So I have the halibut, which I am not a big fan of anyway. It is like eating piece of shoe leather. Dry and rubbery. The broccolini was a dirty green pea soup color and tasted like fish. The salad, which was a caesar salad, did not have any dressing and the dressing that was brought out eventually was ranch. That was the only choice. Then they bring out a new pan of prime rib. No horseradish sauce, no au ju. The prime rib was very over done and dry also. I took one bite and couldn't even get through chewing it up it was so dry. I probably could have made it work with some horseradish or au ju. But that was not made available to us. I was the last person through the line and no one had mentioned it otherwise I would have made sure it was there. But by the time I got mine, everyone was finished. Then I have one of our employees come up to me and tell me they charged her too much for her room. Another very long story short, the gentleman at the front desk whom I had dealt with earlier had no idea what he was doing. This employee booked two rooms and paid for one. The other one was taken care of by the company, with the exception of the taxes. He told her that she needed to pay the difference between the prices of the two rooms which was $45. Now does that even make sense? I explained to the girl working with him...because she could tell I was about ready to throttle him...that the one room had been paid for by the employee and that they other room was covered by the company and all she owed on that one was the taxes which was $18.50. This person understood what was going on, and we paid the $18.50 that was still owing. Now, when she checked out, they charged her another $25 saying she still owed the difference between the two rooms. They have no clue what they are doing there and now I have to call and explain to them again how to properly calculate room charges. You don't take a room that is $159 and a room that is $199 and tell the guest they owe the difference between the cost of those two rooms...how did he even come up with that? After we got it all straightened out, they still charged her on check out so I had to call and explain it again so we could get that charge reversed. And they put me in the wrong room a room that was $50 more than the room I had booked. Lindsey (the manager I spoke to after checking in) acknowledged that I was in the wrong room and could not explain why I was moved. She took the $50 off my bill. Okay, then the next morning we go to have breakfast in their restaurant, Sal's. We order crab eggs Benedict. It is the worst thing I have ever tasted. Come on, we are at the coast and the crab they put on this tasted like it had been microwaved. It was bland, dry and disgusting. The sauce was something that probably came out of a can or jar and the English muffin wasn't even toasted. I took one bite and could not take another. The waitress took both meals off our bill without asking if we would like something else....which I probably wouldn't have taken a chance on anyway. . So from start to finish this company trip was a disaster. Luckily, most of our employees had no clue about all the things gone wrong, other than the obviously bad food which we pretty much all agreed on. I gave this a rating of poor, because the rooms were nice and the hotel is conveniently located right on the beach. It wasn't horrible, but it came close.

no cell service in rooms. no wifi. no heat and when asked to help us no help came. The price was right the view was ok but no help when we asked for it. The young man at the restaurant was no help at all when we asked about food choices.

    « Perfect Location! »

Didn't use any amenities - just needed a place for a quick overnight stay. This hotel is not fancy but it is clean and predictable. And the location is perfect. You can walk everywhere and the sand is right out the door.

« Right on the beach! »

Last minute reservation gave us nice room on the top (fifth) floor with a partial view of the ocean. Checkin was easy, This is at the north end of the Promenade, and has great beach access. And what a beach! Very wide, long, and clean. Not at all like beaches in Southern California. Hotel was easy to find and very convenient as it was within walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Our room was clean. No AC here, but we opened windows and there was a large fan in the room. We actually got cold and had to close the windows at night. There is a restaurant on site, Salvatore's, which is open until 9 pm. They serve a buffet breakfast every day, but we did not eat breakfast there. Hotel staff were friendly. I would stay here again.

    « Horrible other guests »

This is was a get away with myself and my small dog. I had never been to seaside before and I thought the rate was a decent rate to just stay one night. The First Lady at the front desk was kind and for us into our room early. I threw our bags down a freshen up and then go back out to the beach. I had other guests make comments about my dog and how he was a small dog, or that they couldn't believe they had to stay with dogs in a hotel. Might I add my dog is a great dog only barks if he thinks I'm in danger. The amount of people that made comments. I was in tears, at 7 I decided I needed to leave the hotel. The front desk staff were okay that the best I could say about them. They charged me for a half day and I left. I will never go back there.

Excellent customer service!!! Miss Toby at the front desk went out of her way to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. Everyone was nice and friendly. The rooms are really nice. We had a nice view with a fireplace. They also have a nice restaurant. I would come here again.

« Good place to stay »

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during Labor Day weekend with our kids. The hotel is very close to the beach which is very convenient. Hotel personal is very nice and helpful. Our room was big enough and convenient. We haven't used the restaurant. We ate breakfast and dinner in room and ate out once a day. Had very bad margaritas in hotels bar- wont recommend that. Overall good experience. We'll come back again.

« Careful reserving more than a one bed room »

Was not told there was a murphy bed for a "Queen bed" so had a miserable experience with it. Hotel too full to switch rooms. Paid twice as much as usual during summer (more than $600 for 2 nights!) so expected two real, comfortable beds which is what I asked for. Told staff and check-out and was told sorry but no compensation for 2 nights of discomfort and little sleep. Every time anyone moved a muscle bed made horrible noises waking everyone in room! Other then that, this staff is very friendly and normally really enjoy staying here.

Haven't been to Seaside since I was little. Too many people! We had an ocean view room, but on the first floor, so we couldn't see the ocean. We had to call the front desk because someone was smoking in the room next to us (no smoking hotel). Old hotel that has been updated.

overall experience good, staff and service was excellent bed was terrible, needs replacing if you are letting people bring their animals they shoudnt be able to disturb others, not for 500 dollars per night, very upsetting on my holiday to be woken up by a dog barking and barking at 6:30 am , I reported it to the desk, nothing happened

    « Solid hotel »

Took the family to Seaside for a 3-night stay. I wanted to go somewhere just to relax and do nothing. And Seaside is just the place for this type of vacation. The hotel is right by the beach. And I mean RIGHT BY THE BEACH. Right along the back side of the hotel is a walkway, and beyond the walkway is the sand. The location simply can't be beat. The rooms are pretty standard. We got a 2 queen room with partial ocean view. There's a fridge, coffee maker, TV, etc. The bathroom is stocked with soap, sampoo, towels, the usual. It is pretty clean, and housekeeping came by on a daily basis. The only complaint I have about the room is the mattress and pillows. Everything was too soft to m liking. I know that's pretty subjective, but if you're the kind of person who likes your mattress between medium and firm, this is going to bother you. Same thing with the pillows. We tried the breakfast buffet one day. Again, it was pretty standard - bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. The food was not bad. The cleanliness of the restaurant though, was a bit of a concern. There was nothing disgusting, but we got a booth and the seat was covered in bread crumb. And some plates weren't cleaned very well - some had grease on it, and one had 2 wrappers from a stick of butter stuck on the plate. Someone dropped the ball there with the cleaning. It was otherwise alright. Like I said, the food was ok and the service was not bad. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The location itself makes it hard to beat. And the service was pretty good. I would stay here again for sure. Maybe just avoid the restaurant.

A great place to stay not next to the ocean but a close walk, the room was clean, great view of ocean. It was quiet and safe. The coffe in the room is horrible, but we are not there for the coffee. I definitely would come back, we did not eat at the hotel as the reviews were not good on Yelp .

First stop from Seattle was in Seaside overnight. Mom and I upgraded our room from a city view to partial ocean view. Room had two comfortable queen size beds, balcony and a 3/4 view of the ocean. It was a perfect rest stop. After leaving Seaside, we moseyed on down Hwy 101 to tour the Tillamook factory and staying two nights in Lincoln City.

Had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable and the service was outstanding. Juan who did our housekeeping made sure our room was the way we liked it for our 4 night stay. One night we had chocolate mints left with a note to let her know of anything that we need to make our stay more pleasant. The view was outstanding. Our last night we overlooked a wedding on the beach from our small, but adequate balcony. Perfect getaway!

« No View Means NO VIEW...and...smallest room every »

Overall the hotel is OK and we were treated very well; clean, on the beach, pool/jacuzzi, decent restaurant but it was literally the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. And our room was on the ground floor with a window that anyone could look in so we had to keep the curtains shut but that was OK because it looked out at a brick wall. Oh, and that brick wall was the pool so we could hear all the kids in the pool. Beware of any of the xxxA rooms, for example ours was 203A; they are very small and all have windows onto walkways. I want to say again that the staff was great, we were treated very well but that room...I can't go back.

    « Great Visit - Beautiful Views »

My husband and I stayed here for the first couple days of our 5th anniversary trip. The room was plenty big enough, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were amazing! We also cozied up with the fireplace too, which was a nice feature. We had an ocean view room on the 4th floor, which had great patio overlooking the beach and prom. We enjoyed our glasses of wine and spectacular sunsets from the patio both evenings we were there. The bathroom was a bit small, but not a problem for just us two. The staff was very friendly and efficient from the front desk to housekeeping. I highly recommend staying here, but be sure too book well in advance if you are staying during the peak season!

We called ahead to Seaside BW when we realized our plan to arrive in Astoria put us there for the Regata. Paid $250 for a postage stamp room with a terrible bed with a view of a pipe. They said there was a $50 surcharge for volleyball tournaments. This room was not worth $200.

« Very responsive and supportive staff »

Justin, JJ, of the restaurant staff was everywhere. We saw him at a late dessert snack in the restaurant, the next morning at breakfast buffet, in the lobby on his day off taking care of some leftover business, and again delivering some room service by our room on another day. Wow, what a caring and diligent person. We found out he had a split shift, remained positive about his job, and taking care of his family was very important. Morgan, the GM, consider a single shift for this dedicated employee so he can take care of his family. Morgan seemed like a good manager. Racheal, at the front counter was very responsive with my requests. Great place, great ocean front view away from all the main area commotions, and a GREAT staff.

« Our Pacific Coast Highway Vacation 2016 »

I called ahead to book my room with Best Western (the 800 number) in Seaside as we approached the town for the evening. I was told that we would have an oceanview room for $95 and was super excited. We had registered for a promotion, staying at Best Westerns most of the trip. When we arrived, we did NOT have an ocean view room but you could see the ocean. It was nice to be able to walk right out to the beach from our hotel.

« Average Hotel but clean. »

Room was tiny, but very clean. Bathroom was clean as well. Hotel was right on the ocean and a short walk to downtown seaside. We couldn't get an ocean view as the hotel was pretty booked a few weeks before our stay. The room we stayed in was very very small with not much room to move around. However, room was clean and did the job.

« Friendly staff and room as advertised »

Stayed a few nights here with my 16yo daughter for the Seaside beach volleyball tournament. Was happy to get the room I requested--beachfront first floor with patio, king bed, and sofa bed. Front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and efficient. Check-in took like a minute. The pool and hot tub were about 20 feet from our door. You can see more sand dune than beach and water from the ground floor and there is a lot of prom foot traffic, but I enjoyed that sort of thing for this visit. Loved having the little fireplace. Patio door locked and had a security bar. The only odd thing about the room is how the door to the toilet/shower is right next to the king bed. And we had to go on the patio to get service on our cell phones. It's not as close to the beach courts as I'd thought, although it is maybe a 5-10 minute walk on the prom past 3-4 other hotels and the aquarium. Could also walk to a lot of nearby shops and restaurants, even a mini-mart if you forget your toothpaste like me. In the lobby they have a few movie DVDs you can rent, and some books and beverages (adult ones too) for purchase. Enjoyed the stay very much and would return.

« Cozy Place to Stay in Seaside »

Even though my room is small, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. The laundry in the building was convenient. If you ever want to visit Cannon Beach, Seaside or Oregon Coast, I recommend this place to stay.

    « Definitely Nice »

My husband and I, our two young children, and our dog stayed here for two nights. We stayed on the ground floor in a room with a balcony looking out at the promenade. The room is a bit small with the queen bed pulled down from the wall, but the little patio really helps to make it feel bigger. There is a fireplace which is lovely, but we had to keep pillows on the tiled bench in front of the fireplace the whole time because it's so sharp. My husband got a pretty nasty cut on his shin from the corner of it. Anyway! The rooms are cozy enough, but we have stayed at much more comfortable Best Westerns. For me, the bed was a rock and just not comfortable. The pull down bed is as comfortable as you might expect it to be. We had a kitchenette in our room which we didn't really use but would be very helpful had we stayed longer. It's stocked with dishes and utensils which we did use. The bathroom is nice, but tiny. I don't want to come across as complaining, this is a very nice place but to get an honest picture of it, know that the room is a little cramped and the bathroom is single occupancy unless one of you is in the tub. It's definitely noisy, but that is unavoidable on the promenade. We had the window and sliding door open but ended up having to close it because of late night frolickers. The ceiling fan kept the room nice while the doors were closed. I will take a little noise for being right on the beach, it's a great location. The restaurant attached is awful. Most Best Westerns have a complimentary breakfast, this one does not. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast for about $9 for everyone over five years old, but it is not worth it. We didn't order off of their breakfast menu, maybe that is better. The pool was great! We had it mostly to ourselves for a long time, it was a lot of fun. Ultimately this is a great location, everything is within walking distance, you can see the beach and/or the ocean depending on what floor you're on (the ocean is not visible from the ground floor- large sand bank). The benefits outweigh the issues if you plan ahead. Bring breakfast foods or plan on going out for breakfast. If you're a light sleeper pack earplugs. Enjoy the beach!

« Go to the Beach »

Get an Ocean-view Balcony room. Sleep with the ocean roar filling your ears. Get breakfast buffet. Walk the town, the beach and the promenade with or without your dog, pokemon catching kids, or hand and hand with your partner. Watch sunset and sand fires and bicycles built for 7. Why not? Great stay, great view, great bed and linens. Handy kitchen, clean (though older) bathroom, but it's the balcony on the ocean that makes this place a 5 star stay compared to otherwise mediocre alternative hotel options in busy, happening, always fun family friendly Seaside.

« Unresponsive staff and management »

I will preface this review by saying that I did not actually stay at the hotel, but did have a reservation to do so. I had a prepaid reservation for this resort for the nights of July 18 and July 19. Late in the afternoon, my travel partner and I realized that we had both made hotel reservations at different hotels for the same night. I therefore cancelled my reservation through the website I booked it (not Trip Advisor). I then called the property directly and spoke with the front desk staff to find out about possibly getting the 1 night cancellation fee waived given the unusual circumstances. She told me to call back the next day and speak to the ?sales manager?. I called the next day, asked for the sales manager and she told me that I needed to speak with the front desk manager but that she would leave a message for the front desk manager to call me back. I waited several days and did not receive a call. I then called two times and left voicemails for the front desk manager to return my call. After another week and still no response, I called and left a message for the general manager to call me. Several days after that I sent an e-mail to the hotel asking to speak with the manager. Needless to say, over 3 weeks has passed and nobody from the hotel has contacted me via phone or e-mail. I realize that I did not stay at the hotel, but I am still a paying customer since I paid for the cancellation fee and I am shocked that I was not given the courtesy of an e-mail or return phone call.

« CLEAN, COMFY BEST, EXCELLENT SERVICE »

From reservations to confirmations to check in and over all great amenities, this is one of the nicest hotels in the area. We stayed in adjoining rooms and the beds were so comfy, even the pull down beds. Ocean view was awesome and the fireplaces at night were cozy if we couldn't be on the beach for one. Small walk to town center but hey, for quality, its worth it. The staff are AMAZING to work things out for you and reassured me changes I had to make were in place and my family enjoyed every second of the trip!

Wonderfully relaxing, excellent hospitality, helpful staff with tips on the local area and events, great location on the beach, top floor ocean room view with private balcony; didn't use the fireplace (warm sunny Aug). « Cannon beach visit »

This hotel is all about location. It is right on the beach. The hotel was average, nothing outstanding but everything you need. No complimentary breakfast but on site pub and restaurant. It is very worn and outdated but again because of the spectacular location and the view and pet friendly-I overlooked all the dust on the ceiling and ceiling fan, the bottom trim around the carpet coming off, the door sounding like a haunted house, etc. we had an ocean view room with a kitchenette which was really convenient it included a few pots, glasses, plates, cooking and eating utensils, a wine opener. 2 stovetop burners, a microwave, of course a mini frig, a sink, dishwasher. It is in seaside which is about 10 minutes from cannon beach. But like I said you have your own beachfront here too. The area is a little less touristy and definitely has less to offer in town. We did not eat at the restaurant nor use the pool or fitness center so I can not comment on that. Their parking lot is spacious and free. Balcony was nice and fireplace.

Top location at Seaside , great staff but average rooms. The rooms are outdated, the beds mattresses should be replaced. Overpriced for the hotel offering. The pool is on the smaller side and the hotel restaurant need improvements in service, menu and decor.

This was just what we needed! Although, we checked in a little later on Monday night than we wanted to... we still enjoyed! When we first checked in we were greeted right away, and explained the things we needed to know. When we got up to our room everything looked great! (I've worked several years in hospitality for hotels and restaurants, so I spot mistakes easily!) My boyfriend was surprised with our jetted tub and our view! Awesome way to end an evening just relaxing! Bartender made us amazing drinks to take to our room to have before dinner. We dinned in the cafe for dinner and we were completely satisfied!! Calamari was perfectly done! We both had a seafood pasta selection. Both were delicious! Room service for breakfast the next morning was prompt and filling! We left this place wishing we had the time and money for just one more day!

« Ocean View Honest Review »

We had a fantastic room with an in-wall Queen Bed and a King size bed for our family of 4. There was a small kitchenette with fridge, oven, microwave and all the pots/pans and dishware a family needs for a few nights stay. Safeway down the street made it easy to grab what we needed and cook breakfast in. The balcony from our 4th floor room offered amazing views of Seaside's riptide and the Pacific Ocean. The breakfast inside of Salvatore's was awful. Service was worse. We waited 20 mins for someone to seat us, then waited another 20 for someone to come take our order. The young man acted like he was being bothered to help us. I'll never eat there again. Also, the hot tub is NOT a hot tub, it is a Jacuzzi kept at about 85 degrees. The sign says 100, but it was never 100. It's more like a kiddie pool. Also, housekeeping needed reminding twice during our 4 night stay to come clean our room. However, we will stay again, because of the excellent location, overall room quality and front desk friendly staff.

Went for an "ocean" fix and got it. The view was great, the room was clean and OK, and the fireplace and spa were nice. It was a little expensive for size and quality of the room but the view of the ocean and being able to hear the waves made it worth the $ almost. I would recommend this Best Western if you are visiting Seaside. It is a little away from the very busy tourist area but within easy walking distance if you are so inclined.

    « Great location & friendly staff »

We stayed here for one night and since it was a last minute booking, were only able to get a small room with no view. Still, the location is fantastic, the staff were super friendly the room was clean, and our dog was able to join us (with a treat from the front desk, too!) The amenities were sufficient - there was a microwave and coffee maker, along with nice-smelling soaps and shampoos. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay and we will definitely go back - next time with an ocean view!

This hotel is very close to the beach which is nice , love the old lanterns and swing set on beach but definitely would choose if stayed again a second floor and above. On the first level there is constantly people walking by on the promenade to the town so can get noisy or basically just no privacy. They are pet friendly and offer chairs for beach. Check in went smoothly. The restaurant inside for happy hour tho took over a hr to get service from beginning to end, so if in rush don't go there. It may of been the guy working that day but even after we couldn't find him for 25 min the manager came over to help, it still took another 20 min for the bill:( food was good tho!

    « Oceanfront Hotel Stay »

We went to the beach after my husband was well enough after a major surgery. It was very special to be in an Oceanfront room with the beach at our doorstep. There is another kind of healing that happens mentally when you get to relax and enjoy the Ocean air and view. The bed was super comfortable. We did hear noise from the next room. If I had a complaint it would be the soundproofing between the walls.

    3
« Don't stay on the First Floor!! »

This is an "OK" hotel with a great location. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are small if you have more than 2 people. If you want a view and/or balcony stay on the 2nd floor or above. You can open the slider door at night and actually see the ocean. Not the case on the first floor (too many people walking down the promenade - noisy and maybe not safe to leave a first floor door open). The price seemed expensive but was comparable to other properties in the area.

    « It was okay.... »

This hotel was right on the promenade in Seaside and we had a beach front room. The room was very large with a kitchen & a Murphy bed (which wasn't needed but would be great for kids). The desk staff was not very friendly this particular day and they do not offer complimentary breakfasts.

Very friendly staff and all the amenities you need for a great beach front stay (fire wood for campfire, beach chairs, pool, hot tub, fantastic location). Room was very clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchenette is fabulous and includes two burners and which was perfect for in room meals, preparing lunch, and snacks for the beach. We will definitely be back next year for a longer stay!

Took an impromptu trip with my sisters and stayed at the Ocean View Resort for the first time. The staff was professional and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a Murphy bed in our room and it was very comfortable. The view was stunning. Not impressed with the restaurant. Food was good but service was very slow due to lack of staff. We had to ask for our order, our check and then finally left money on the table because we couldn't find anyone to pay. Small potatoes for such a wonderful week-end. We will be back next year.

Room service was not available. It was suppose to open at 7am .The restaurant did not open on time in the morning. I waited about fifteen minutes. I really wanted to enjoy my breakfast in my room with the ocean view, but, no! I had to go else where to eat.

« Stay here for the view! Awesome! »

The sea facing rooms above the first floor have awesome views and are comfortable and clean, we were booked into one of the smaller side rooms at first but it was not a pleasant room at all, very small so we upgraded straight away. The staff were very good and agreed that they were small rooms.... It was winter and there was lots of space to choose from. There is no free breakfast even though the current website still suggests there is: Features & Amenities Breakfast Available - Charges May Apply Pool Pets Allowed Fitness Center Meeting Room Restaurant Onsite Hot Tub Room Service High Speed Internet Took this straight from the BW website 10 July 2016. Charges always apply there is nothing free, not even an apple. We ate the breakfast the first morning and for the charge was not even close to worth it, apparently the next day would be a buffet style, but we never ate again here in the 3 days we were there, lots of better value places around even mid winter. We would stay here again in the front facing rooms, but would plan on not eating there at all. Just not worth the hassle. The staff were as helpful as they could be and acknowledged there was nothing included for breakfast and 6 months later it is still the same.

« WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO ACCOMODATE US »

Our resOur reservations were not what we anticipated and were going to be very crowded for a week stay around the 4th of July. I was not a happy camper at all and actually contemplated leaving early as it would be too much. The after some back and forth, I was trying to resolve my frustration and just enjoy the holiday. All of a sudden the manager Shawn and his assistant DJ came in and said they were going to open an adjoining room to accommodate us at no extra charge! They even brought in more chairs and a large table for our eating situation with our larger family. I mean these guys bent over backwards to make this a better situation and they did. I am so grateful and would have been miserable in the one room. Then for the fourth, they passed out flowers, a backpack filled with a first aid kit, sparklers, candy, sunscreen and other items. You cannot beat their free continental breakfast. I mean fruit, juice, cereal, Danishes and cupcakes. Then the fresh iced water, plain or with fruit added all day. The maintenance men allowed us to have a BBQ in the street for safety and to enjoy our steaks the BBQ way. And lastly the fresh baked cookies from 7-10. I mean really? Tasty. Really for oceanfront views at a fraction of the cost of a RENTAL HOUSE IN SEASIDE, YOU SIMPLY CANNOT BEAT THIS PLACE. THANK YOU! ervations

Stay here alone for just the fantastic water pressure in the shower! Beds were comfortable and clean. I was disappointed that my "Ocean View" room should have been listed as a "sand dune view". If you pay for an ocean view be sure to get something about the first floor. Not enough outlets in the room for family of 4 and charging cords.

We had a great room with a nice view right on the promenade walkway. The room was clean and appointed nicely. The staff was very nice and eager to help in any way. The parking spaces in the hotel lot were a little small for my big pickup, but that is pretty minor compared to our great stay. We got a great price and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

For a four story corporate chain hotel, it's really quite nice. Granted, our room faced the ocean so there's that, but it was clean, near all the tourist-y stuff, yet the last hotel in a small line of them, so it had a little more seclusion as it were than the other hotels. A bit pricey, but considering the area probably about par

We wanted an economy place to stay on the Promenade in Seaside. TripAdvisor offered a reasonable rate at the Best Western, so we booked it. We knew the room did not have a view and was small. We were pleased to be in a room that overlooked the large veranda that accessed all rooms and that we actually had a view of the Coast Range mountains because we were on the 4th floor. The room was clean and comfortable and perfect for our one night stay. We had direct access to the promenade and downtown Seaside.

« Very unfriendly check in »

My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western Ocean View Resort in Seaside Oregon. The location and rooms are very good and Seaside is wonderful place. We arrived about 45 minutes early and the young lady who assisted us was very short and curt with us. She was very unfrendly and seem to take great pride in telling us that 4:00 PM is check in time and our room was not going to be ready until then. We were both surprised at the lack of a friendly reception. Perhaps they should reassign this person to another position with in the resort as guest relations was not where she belongs.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Ocean View Resort, Seaside, OREGON for 2 nights. We had a great time. This is the second time we have stayed with them. We got a king room with hot tub and ocean view. The cafe was nice and had a nice little bar. We used to stay at the Shilo because it was right on the strip and has a nice restaurant and lounge but it is starting to show it's age. Best Western is nicer and just a short walk to the strip.

« Nice place on the beach »

We stopped here on a road trip from Vancouver, BC to California. The queen room we had was rather small, considering it had a table, two chairs, microwave, mini fridge, tv, and queen bed. We had to move the chairs to a far corner to be able to walk around the room. Other than the size of the room, the location is awesome. Just steps from the beach. The restaurant on site, Salvatore's Cafe & Pub served good food and wine. The indoor pool and spa were great for relaxing after sightseeing. The laundry facilities were sufficient with two washers/dryers and only cost $1.00 per load, which was much cheaper than most hotels we have stayed at. I would return, but next time I will book an oceanview room that is bigger than the queen room.

« OK, but not great. »

Hotel was fine and beach location... once you get there... was pretty cool. Street access nearly impossible with narrow one-lane streets and construction. No breakfast included with room and the in-house restaurant was a disappointment... service, food quality and price. They had us captive and they knew it. Biggest disappointment was Wi-Fi which was weak and lost connection frequently. Will look at other options next trip.

This gem is a bit difficult to get to the first time but so worth it. It's behind the pathway to get to the beach. Maybe 20 steps and my feet hit the sand. We did not have an ocean view room but our room was affordable and clean. The whole hotel was clean. The best part...they have a s'more package where you can buy the fixing to make a fire and roast marshmallows on the beach. So cool! Best hotel on the beach yet!

My husband and I had an excellent experience at this property. The conditions of our room were beyond our expectations... comfortable bed, clean room, incredible view. There is nothing better than waking up in a hotel room, knowing you got a good nights rest in a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at Salvatore's, located just off of the lobby of the hotel. The pool and hot tub provided a relaxing break from long walks on the prom. I rarely give 5 star reviews but we just got home and I'm ready to go back. The view from the room put us on the beach front and center, walk out the door moments later my toes were in the sand. The Best Western exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier with our accommodations we are planning to go back for the forth of July, from what I hear it's quite a celebration!!

« Nice room with a great little kitchen. »

We stayed in a king room with an additional queen pull down bed. The queen wasn't very comfortable but the king was nice. The room doesn't have any air conditioning just a ceiling fan. The pool was nice for the kids and it has good hours. The location is great, the ocean is right across the street and we had a view from our room. Unfortunately we were in a high traffic area and we were constantly being woken up by noisy hotel guests walking through the halls. The staff was friendly and the room was clean.

    « terrible!!!!! »

When your boyfriend, whom lives to camp and could care less where he sleeps turns to you after checking into the room and asks you if you eant to sleepinthe car.. Something is really wrong!!!! I have been in the hotel booking industry for 11 years, as a director of hotel contracting.. I have therefore seen hundreds of hotel rooms and done site inspections in so many hotels.. I know what to expect from a 3 star best western.. I have very realistic expectations!! BUT the problem is that the photos displayed online if thai property, on your site, do NOT reflect reality!!! The photos show renovated or nee rooms.. But the room We recieved was an "economy room" according to the front desk.. Also NoT advertised when i purchased the room through you!!! I exepected to be in a non-ocean cirw facing room.. To be on possibly ground level .. But i did NOT expect such a filthy, small, dark, old, non renovated room!!!! We were even greeted by the neighbors dog on arrival.. This was a terrible experience and i deserve a refund because even if the rate i paid was competitive the point is that i feel robbed by Expedia and that hotel!

« Right on the beach with great views »

We really enjoyed our stay here and was very reasonably priced especially for being right on the beach. Our room had full ocean views with a balcony. It was very quiet and had dual elevators for this five story hotel which also included a pool, Jacuzzi, exercise room and business center. There is also a ceiling fan in the room along with a flat screen TV, a fully functional kitchenette with stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, tableware, and even soap and paper towels. The service and staff here were great. We never checked out the in house café so can't comment on that.

Seaside Ocean view Best Western was a great stay. The room looked out over the Ocean great sunsets from the nice sized Balcony .. No air conditioning but opening the window and fan on you don't need it. Fireplace is a nice touch not needed as it was a warm evening. Room was large and useful stove top, refrigerator, and dishwasher... we did not use but it was nice to have.. The restaurant was good, they are redoing their menu and were slow do to lack of help. The food and beverage manager is working hard to get things up to standard. All the dishes we had were very good and a fair price. Breakfast is not included with room but they give you 10%off .

« Embarrassing restaurant but a great location and room »

May 23, 2016 we booked the hotel at the last minute on Best Western's website. Great location, great price for the room. Step outside to an extensive boardwalk, great views from the boardwalk or the beach. Since we had been traveling all day we walked several miles on the boardwalk and beach just to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful sunset. We came back to the hotel to gather something quick, read the previous reviews about their terrible food but just didn't feel like going elsewhere. Boy, should we have listened to the reviews. This was by far the worst food and service we had experience in our 23rd day of vacation. And this will be one of the ?worst top 5? experiences in our 25+ years together. At a previous restaurant we experience a wonderful shrimp wrapped in prosciutto appetizer. We decided that if this dish turn out as good or close to our previous experience then we would know what to order next. Our first indication of any problems should have been the length of time it took to get this appetizer. When it arrived the tomato base was cold, the ?grilled? appetizer was actually a ?burnt? appetizer. The prosciutto was charred and the shrimp tough. My husband and I decided to order a hamburger, how can you mess-up a hamburger, medium-well hamburger with no bun? Well, for starters in the description we should have been offered a choice of sides. Our waiter never asked us, he took our hamburger order only and ran ? fast. We had to get the host to find our waiter as we had questions regarding our sides. When we finally saw our waiter again, we waved him over and asked him what we were getting as a side. He said fries and I asked him why we couldn't get a salad. He asked us what salad we wanted and the dressing. We had hope this side would be eatable. The salad proved to be eatable, but I wouldn't have wanted it to set another couple of hours. We asked our waiter to provide us with water and ice tea refills which we did get however we didn't know that the ice tea refills were $4 each. Have you ever heard of getting charged full price or any price for refills? Now for the grand finale, my hamburger arrived via the host with fries which I didn't order. So I dress my hamburger and took a bite. As I ate it, I could taste the burnt ash of a charred hamburger in my mouth what a terrible experience ? who would serve this? Here's the picture to prove how it can be done! Once we could flag our waiter down, we told him that my hamburger was burst and my husbands was barely eatable. He managed to eat half of his. The waiter wanted to know if we wanted them to cook another one, no just bring us the bill. We also mentioned to him how burnt and over cooked the shrimp prosciutto appetizer was. As a waiter, I would think you would know the difference between grilled, cooked and burst, but apparently not. When the bill arrived they only removed my hamburger. Based on the terrible experience you would think the manager would come out and address our concerns, but nothing. We paid the bill and left. In the morning we decided to find a McDonald and eat there. At least we knew what we were getting. As we departed the hotel, we informed the front desk of the lousy food and service. They wanted to know if we wanted to talk to the General Manager. We said that we had to be somewhere else, but we would be in touch. Side note: Another table complained about the service and a couple sat at the table behind us and was never acknowledged by our waiter, he came to our table twice while they were setting there. Service at its worst. So now you've read another review regarding this restaurant and you have a decision to make. Make the right one!

« They give less for what you pay for. »

I booked on line. I liked what I see in the pictures: a beautiful spacious room with 2 queen size beds. I choose a 2 beds unit and pay for it 300 dlls. When I got there they gave me a tiny room with only one bed. The bath tub was dirty; the bath room was so small that it was hard that 2 people use it at the same time. When I when to talk to the front desk, I spoke with 2 different people on May the 29th. I asked for and extra bed or a cot or a camping bed, but they gave me nothing. The next morning, I went to see what they have to say, how they will fix the problem: I asked for a refund, I asked to talk to the manager. I man (don't remember his name) came to me and we very rude. I explained to him the problem but he pretended hi did not understand what I was explaining. Y said: "I paid 300.00 dlls for what I saw in the internet, I booked for 2 adults and 1 child, 1 room with 2 queen beds. If I received less for what I paid, I should pay less to?. But he kept pretending no understanding what I was saying. He treats me bad, I did not like the way he spoke to me. He is rude. He shouldn't be working in customer services.

Room 211 is amazing if u have a pet.. this is a pet friendly room and has beautiful ocean views..is the end of the building and nice and quiet.. and easy access to the stairs to go outside.. I love this hotel and will be back to enjoy another beach stay

    « One Restless Night »

We stayed at the BW Ocean View Resort as our first stop along a coastal road trip. Our room set us back $241.00 which became an issue for me when I realized we were given the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in and we were placed directly across the hall from the pool. If the children running and shrieking and their parents responding in kind wasn't loud enough, we had a large family across from us that would yell to communicate with one another outside our door. The walls seemed paper thin and we were unable to sleep for more than a few quiet hours. I would have told the front desk staff this a couple of hours later, when we were checking out, if they had asked how our stay was, but they did not. I recommend traveling 20 or so minutes up the road and staying somewhere in Cannon Beach.

« Not bad for Best Western »

Very nice double room with a little balcony looking out at the ocean. Clean, warm, comfortable beds, quick checkin, really nothing to complain about which is unusual for a place in a resort town with pretty reasonable rates. We made a last minute reservation and were very happy with what we got. Can't say that the attached restaurant Salvatores was much to shout about, but that is for another review. I would definitely go somewhere else to eat if you want good service and food that is what you expected. The hotel though is quite reasonable and satisfactory.

    2
« Not the Best, Western. »

It wasn't bad. The main gripes: They claimed to have a fireplace. They don't. They have a fake light show "fireplace" that doesn't even put off electric heat, much less real warmth. It had the ambiance of a computer screensaver. Also, one of the burners on the kitchen stove didn't work, leaving us trying to cook everything at once on a single burner.

    4
    « Great Location »

A couple blocks north of the main Broadway street, this location is a nice distance from the main busyness of downtown Seaside, but close to the beach and local attractions. The price was a little steep, but the views from the rooms are really what set this location apart. Would stay here again.

    3
« Clean but wouldn't stay on a main floor unit again.. »

Very clean, updated bathroom. I believe it was a wheel chair accessible room. Bathroom had a curbless shower. Which would have been nice if it was sloped properly. Took a shower and water was all the way to the toilet within seconds. Also, the room was overly hot. No AC, no fan, no screen door so you cannot leave the door open.. it was so hot that it was uncomfortable. I would be willing to try a room on a different floor but not a ground unit again. Staff was very friendly though.

    « I'll be back »

I was in Seaside on business but why not stay somewhere nice even if I wasn't going to be in the room much. This was so beautiful . The room was amazing and I wasn't able to fully appreciate it as I was in town to work but I'm already trying to find sometime to return just for fun. I was upgraded and was given a ground level King room. It had a full kitchen - and I do mean full...even had a dishwasher which was wonderful. I ran a set before eating off them because I'm just never sure if the dishes in hotels like this have actually been washed/disinfected. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of the on site restaurant because I needed to be 'at work' about the time it opened in the AM but the menu seemed quite broad. As my title says....I'll be back and will take advantage of all this property has to offer.

    2
« do not bring a phone or laptop - no outlets »

After 2 week conference in Portland, we booked an ocean view room for one night. As soon as we checked in and my wife saw the room and view, she immediately called the front desk and requested another night, which they accommodated. Right on the boardwalk which gave us easy access to the Seaside shops. Short drive to Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park, which was beautiful. Had hoped to do some hiking, but rain cancelled. Instead we waited until low tide and walked out to Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. Free coffee in Lobby a plus. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in area.

« Great location - Amazing view! Good value for a mid range priced hotel. »

Great place for a mid priced hotel. The rooms need some updating for sure, but it was still enjoyable. Close quarters on the balconies. Loved the oceanfront hot tub, but needs to be updated. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. The service wasn't that great. We had to wait a while to check out while the front desk person had a call on hold and didn't even acknowledge our presence. When another staff member finally came back to the desk, she wasn't that friendly. Same with when we were checking in. We're from out of town, and nothing was offered in the likes of "check out such and such place for dinner" It was a very cold welcoming to our first night of our honeymoon. Otherwise, we loved Seaside!! If we travel the Oregon Coast again, we would definitely stay at least 2 nights. Might choose a different hotel though.

We arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in and were told that they were just finishing up our room. We waited and waited and waited without updates. My Grandma was having pain in her feet and I had a very restless baby. During our wait time at least 40 people came and checked in no problem. They said our specific room was a newly renovated room and they were just making sure it was all set. I would have gladly taken whatever room WAS ready instead of waiting. After a two hour wait, once we got to our room, it was very nice. It was a bit of a walk and was in a part of the hotel that seemed out of place from the rest, but it was a nice quiet place. The room was large and perfect for our needs. I really wish that this hotel had a complimentary breakfast as many other hotels do. The restaurant had great food, but poor service. Don't go if you're in a hurry or have any type of time restriction. We waiting an awful long time to just get water, then bread then have our order taken. There was three of us. Two of which just ordered soup and we ended up being there two hours with one two other tables occupied in the restaurant. The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were clean, but I would suggest that you assign rooms as guests arrive instead of in advance holding them to a specific room when other rooms are vacant and ready to go.

« Excellent venue. Not many that will allow pets. »

Extremely surprised how great the room is. The shower had good pressure, not limpy like some I have stayed at. My dog absolutely enjoyed the beach and the treat given at sign-in, she thoroughly enjoyed! We will be coming back to this venue often!

    « Very clean »

Booked room for $55 on priceline. Room was no bigger than a postage stamp but it was so clean! Very, very comfortable bed, only full size though. Fridge and microwave were a big plus. Nice view of hills but window didn't open so that was a bummer. Had a ceiling fan as well. I'd go back without hesitation. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 because it was so clean.

    « First stay »

We had a family reunion in Cannon Beach and needed a place to stay for 3 nights. Through Expedia we found this Best Western nearest to the beach and at a very good rate so booked it early. That saved us a lot of $. The staff help was excellent, especially Heidi at the front desk. She went above and beyond...... finding us a balcony room the first night (beautiful sunset and fun to people watch). The other two nights we just needed a place to crash and shower in the a.m. so the small rooms worked just fine. The razor clamming was beyond good!

I was originally staying at a different hotel but when I arrived it was not what I expected. I called the Best Western in Seaside and Cat answered the phone. She was so helpful and welcoming. I have a high expectation of Hotels and other service industries since that is my background. Cat met them all. She made sure that our stay was excellent. If you are going to Seaside Oregon you should definitely stay at this Hotel. The ocean view was spectacular and the service from Cat was outstanding. Thank you Cat!!!

    « No ocean view »

Disappointed that there was no view of the ocean from our room on the first floor as a sandy mound hid the ocean. Had to wait several minutes beyond the 4 pm check-in time to get our room. When we finally got it, it had a problem with the door lock, so had to move to a different room, more time wasted. Wifi is very slow. If you are tall, you will find the 8 foot high ceilings claustrophobic. I recommend finding a different hotel.

    « Nice view »

Had a great stay in Seaside for a quick weekend escape. The room was clean. The king bed and Murphy bed we're super comfy. staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is on the prom, so a quick walk to anything but far enough away to escape the crowds.

« Wonderful Hotel for a Fantastic Price! »

This hotel is fantastic. The price was beyond affordable, especially given its location. Food was great, rooms were nice! The room is a bit smaller than your typical Queen room, but it's not too small to work with. It still has a mini fridge, microwave, everything you could want. I will definitely be back!

« Great place to get away »

We stayed here for a quick trip to get away from the city and enjoy the Oregon Coast. We wanted a pet friendly place and we were very pleased. Most dog rooms usually smell like dog rooms and this place didn't.

« THe Hotel and staff are great »

The ocean view was outstanding, and the staff were great. the local areas to eat were good they are just like all over America. It is the beginning of the cliffs where the mountains meet ocean. The Oregon coast is spectacular all up and down the highway

« Great hotel on the ocean, Best Western Ocean View »

Nice location, clean, friendly front desk staff. quick check in. My room with balcony faced the ocean. Great view from 5th floor. room was clean, with all amenities needed. Quiet, but it was middle of April. I've been told this town is packed in the season. We enjoyed our stay.

    « Mixed Feelings »

As promised in the name, the Best Western in Seaside sits at the edge of the ocean, adjacent to the famous Promenade. Our experience here was a mixture of pros and cons. We expected the room to be small, based on other reviews, and it was very small, but tolerable. Pros: beautiful large bathroom with two shower heads; pretty tiles and all is clean and looks new. The pool area is clean, ceiling tiles look new, fresh new paint on walls, spa jets are powerful and pool water nice temp. Wifi in the room was fast and reliable. Free coffee in the lobby was appreciated, and the pot was kept filled. Cons: NO PHONE IN ROOM! And, no cell phone reception! When we mentioned this at the front desk, the response was that a maintenance man could ?probably find a phone somewhere.? The closet space was severely limited, and the door did not open all the way; closet floor taken up with luggage rack and bagged large quilt. The drapes hang directly above the heating unit, and when the heat comes on, the drapes billow out, partially obscuring the TV. Noisy; could easily hear conversations and doors slamming. Having stayed at this property previously in an upgraded, ocean-view room, we can definitely say this is a strong case of ?you get what you pay for.? We would stay here again, but certainly not in Room 104A.

    « Wonderful Ocean View »

...and we can have our dog with us! The room is fabulous with a sitting area complete with fireplace, a mini kitchen and a great view of the ocean. It was definitely worth the few extra dollars to get this room! The bed is very comfortable (of course, we;ve just been camping for a week and this is a great treat)!

« Another Best Western Top Location, Excellent! »

Great staff on all shift, a great room with a beach/ocean view, including a fake fireplace. Room was very clean, roomy and comfortable. Affordable in off season, definitely not affordable during peak season. Got this room for $89 plus tax, same room goes for $330+ in summer. Sits on the promenade so easy access to everything including the main street. There is obvious pride in this facility but the staff and owners. Was told that they are going to add a new wing of less expensive rooms but they are also going to upgrade the ocean view rooms and they will be more expensive. I really enjoyed this hotel and wish I could stay there in the summer but...

« Family getaway to the coast »

This hotel is a decent place to stay in Seaside. The lobby is newly renovated - the rooms are not. The elevators are very slow. Front desk service is very slow! Service at the restaurant (to even be seated or order to go) was terrible! Waited over 20 minutes & no one even acknowledged I was there. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the view was great, and the location on the promenade was good! Parking was tight - very full while we were there. Walking distance to prom, restaurants, & shopping! Pool was indoor / good. Pets are allowed & welcome.

    3
« Beautiful hotel. Good condition. Pets allowed. Loud barking after 10pm, 11pm, and 12am! »

Lives up to its 3 star rating! Well kept up building and grounds. Everything appeared clean. But pets are allowed. I am allergic to cats and although room looked very clean I could not breathe all night and could not sleep. There were barking dogs in neighboring rooms after 10PM, 11PM, and after midnight. At check out I would have mentioned these concerns but was not asked about my stay. Front desk staff was polite. We got three calls to our room the morning of check out. By the time I got to the phone there was no one on the line. It was Spring Break for our kids so it may have been other guests children. We have AT&T cell service. There was no service about 75% of the time and when there was several calls were dropped. We have a home business so we needed to keep in touch even while on our family vacation. The pool is indoors, a plus for Oregon coast weather, and small but is in good condition and nice. Overall it is a solid 3 star hotel in a beautiful location. If you are not a fan of pets, are allergic, have children who need to rest before midnight, or need to do business while here I would not recommend staying.

    « Bargain View ! »

Awesome "partial ocean view" that stretched for miles in Seaside, OR! Lovely space both in room and lobby. BW is now a chain with both character (llamas at the one in Sisters, OR! handmade furniture at the one in Thermopolis). If you think BW is a cliche same ol' motel, think again! Superb bargain.

« Well Managed Property with Good Ocean Views »

We were pleasantly surprised by our comfortable, well-equipped room and the expansive ocean view. However, on our next visit we will request a room without Jacuzzi because the Jacuzzi in our room took up most of the space where the balcony should have been. Our balcony was tiny. We were given a remote for the TV that could not be used to turn the TV on, but a man appeared quickly to fix the problem when I reported it. On the evening of March 30 we were greeted by a delightful young lady who made us feel welcome and gave us good restaurant advice. Therefore, I was put off on the morning of March 31 when a grim older woman barked at me when I asked a question about rooms without Jacuzzi and rooms facing north. It was quite odd and inappropriate.

    « Peaceful stay »

The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The rest of the stay was excellent. My room was on the bottom level with an ocean view so it was very relaxing and peaceful. I did not get any service in the room on my cell phone but that is to be expected considering it is right next to the ocean. The kitchenette came in handy.

    « Best Western Ocean View--Seaside »

The room was very nicely laid out and clean and the bed was quite comfortable.. The food was very good at the restaurant and what was brought up by room service. View was wonderful and access to the beach was perfect with our dog. The service from the staff was very good. The only issue was the computers in the lobby either did not connect to the internet or would not print.

    5
    « BREATHTAKING VIEW »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were on the 3rd floor with the view of the pacific ocean from our room! The room was clean, spacious and VERY family friendly! We had a king bed with a queen murphy bed... fully stocked supplied kitchenette was a BONUS! A DVD player in the room... and shopping and eats only a few minute walk down the boardwalk! Only negative... there was a dog next to our room, that would occasionally bark

    « Expections exceeded »

The hotel was very clean, everywhere. I am very picky about quality and cieanliness. My first impression of the lobby was that it was updated and fresh smelling. Which is always a good sign of how the hotel takes care of the room. Our room view was simply amazing. We stayed on the fourth floor and had no noise issues at all. After reading some of the other reviews before our trip I was nervous about the onsite restaurant however, we had breakfast each morning there and the food was fresh, creative and down right delicious. The price was not any more than other local restaurants and our kids ate free, which was a bonus. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

    4
« Fantastic View of Beach »

We stayed this past weekend on the fourth floor, in an ocean facing king room. The room was a nice size, although the bathroom (just shower and toilet) was like a cave. It was weird having to wash your hands in the main room. The bed was mostly comfortable and the views of the beach from the room deck were fantastic. Our only real complaint was that we heard noise from our various neighbors. There needs to be some soundproofing done as we heard others talking at all hours, not to mention running up and down the hall. Take note that our room did not have a/c. If we had visited in the warmer months, that would have been a problem for us as we like to sleep with it cold in the room. We did order room service one night and it was only ok.

« Great Location, Next Time I'll Go Oceanview »

This was a one-night stay over, I "named my own price." My room was Hobbit-sized; it's the additional bedroom when used with the adjoining door. It was a great little room for my great little price. I'm glad to have stayed here. Now that I've seen how awesome the location is I would definitely return for a leisure stay. I would spring for an oceanview room.

    4
« LOVELY ground floor walk out rooms with kitchenettes and pet friendly! »

Room right on the beach promenade - loved watching people walk, run, skate and bike by. Could see the bonfires on the beach at night and the ocean in the day! We loved the location - walked easily to several nearby restaurants and bars and spent a lot of time on the beach as well! :)

« Awesome beach view, clean, comfortable beds »

Great view AND small kitchenette that was a surprise. We were attending a church retreat, so we were using conference rooms and utiltized onsite restaurant for the buffet breakfast. The staff was responsive without being intrusive. And, they were GREAT during the power outage!

« Get an unstairs ocean view room. »

Incredibly friendly staff. The room on the 4th floor with a view of the ocean was magnificent. To add to ambiance there was an electric fireplace. Very nice romantic touch. The room also came with kitchenette which also added to the comfort of the stay. I would recommend the Best Western in Seaside, Oregon to anyone and make sure to get an ocean view room.

    4
« Great views, Love the Jaccuzi »

Everything was great except for the constant smoker on the balcony stinking up my room. Even after reporting it, my husband had to talk to the offender. It didn't help and I'm pregnant so it was unfortunate. The jacuzzi with the view of the ocean was amazing.

    « Fine Stay »

I stayed here as part of Hood to Coast with my team. The hotel was generally what you would expect from a normal hotel. Decent beds, standard sized rooms (we were in three double rooms). Everything is always crazy during Hood to Coast and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We hung out in the lobby for a bit and all our interactions with the staff were positive. I have been to Seaside MANY times throughout my life and this is a bit better than many of the dated hotels there. Hotels are always WAY overpriced during Hood to Coast, but I guess it really is just supply and demand.

    5
« We will be back »

We stayed here as a part of a large family gathering, The hotel staff was most helpful, arranging at the last minute, a gathering room for a toast . The rooms are large, well kept, and very clean. We had a wonderful view up and down the coast, the cost was a good value. We were so happy with everything about this hotel that we are considering returning here for an annual event.

« Great option on the beach »

Nice hotel with ocean view, clean and very friendly staff. Great for families, centrally located, easy to walk to all attractions! Don't recommend the restaurant, but plenty of options to eat outside of the hotel.

« Best Western Seaside Oreg. Very disapointed »

When booking over 4 months ago, I requested a non pet room, and an ocean view, as we were staying 4 nights. When we got there we were told they only had city view available, so we had no choice but to take it. All we could see out of our sliding doors was a 4' concrete wall at edge of small patio, on a dead end road, and the side of house. Hardly, a city view. Extremely disappointed. In bathroom, no counter by wall plug, so had to set my hairdryer in the sink when using it. No bathtub. Towel rods look like added, as an afterthought. One 2" above toilet tank lid, and totally useless. Another one beside sink, so tight, towels had to be jammed in to hang, plus the hair dryer on wall, had long cord hanging there.. Hallways were always very cold. Hence, we didn't use swimming pool, as it would have been freezing when we went back to our room. First night, top window would not close, so slept with a draft. We reported it and they fixed it next day . Ice machine in hallway across from our door was noisy every time people got ice. Had to ask for TV guide and Hotel Guest Service directory. Only at check out, when I reported I had to throw out all the food in fridge, as everything froze, she credited our account by $40.00, which we appreciated. I had asked her what time they had the coffee urn ready in lobby in the morning, as we were leaving at 6 am. She said she would be sure it would be there with fresh coffee then. When we were leaving at 6, no coffee pot, and the clerk said she would have to go and make it and it would take about 15 or 20 min. Lack of communication there. .The only real positive we could add, was that the bed was comfortable.

    3
« Rooms too small; perfectly ok place but no special value »

Our room for 3 nights was far too small to enjoy. An ocean view room or a bigger room would have raised the price by over $100-250 per night; the "value" room we got was in a basement-type floor, clean and decent with a good bed, but no breakfast, and no space to really prepare or sit to eat a meal (pulling out the two chairs at the table would have bumped into the bed). There was an ADA shower which we didn't need --- would have preferred a tub/shower combo -- but the room was too small for ADA compliance, so I suspect our room was carved out of an older, larger suite during a remodel. For the price, it was okay, but there are economical properties with nice views (we had no view) in Seaside we will use in future.

« Avoid unless you are already in town and feeling adventurous »

I booked this hotel directly through their own website and had to cancel later on. I had no idea how much of a hassle it was going to be and I wish I had never tried to stay here. I cancelled within the time-frame allowed for a full refund and got the confirmation e-mail right away. A few days later no refund showed up so I called the hotel to check. They said they would get process it right away. 2 days later no activity so I call again and they say they will look into it and call me back. 3 days later no activity or call back. I called corporate to complain and have them help me. The hotel told corporate they already did it and I should have my refund soon. 3 days later again still no refund showing up so I had to call my credit card company so they could dispute the charge with the hotel and they automatically credited my account since the hotel couldn't be bothered to do their job in a timely manner (who knows if they ever would have - especially if I didn't call multiple times!) So basically if you want to stay here don't book ahead on the off chance you have to cancel - it's not worth the headache! And if they take a deposit from you because you chose to stay there anyways while you're in town, then keep an eye on your account to make sure you get your money back! You've been warned...

Fabulous. Had such a good time. Staff was outstanding. Gave us a nice upgrade, beautiful view. Great king bed, snacks for our dog. Super-nice. Very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer. « Anniversary trip »

We went here for our anniversary and got a room on the top floor with a jetted tub in the front room all facing the ocean!!! It was awesome. The staff was so friendly and even gave us a bottle of champagne. The room was very nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, it was like home away from home. Will definitely go back!!!

    « Ocean View »

I stayed in an ocean view room with a hot tub and a fireplace. The view was perfect and I loved the hot tub and it was very quiet. However, the fireplace must be an electric one, because the heat does not come out of it, and instead comes out of a vent in the wall next to the fireplace which I found very disappointing. The bathroom is small and the sink is located outside of the bathroom around the corner. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, but I expected more for the price I paid. However, it seemed to be one of the best hotels in the area and the pictures on the website were accurate. The dinner in restaurant was very bad and we were the only couple in it on a Saturday night at 7:00 pm which is probably a good indicator of the quality of the food.

    « Very nice! »

We stayed here in Seaside for a three day visit with friends. We found the hotel very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. Some rooms comes with a murphy bed too. We found this convinient to go to the beach, because it is right in front of you. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone looking for 5 star comfort.

« Amazing views and beautiful rooms »

We stayed for two nights in February and had a hard time leaving our room because it was so warm and cozy and the view from the balcony was amazing! The beach was rainy and windy, so we enjoyed the view while also enjoying a glass of wine by the fireplace. The swimming pool and hot tub felt so relaxing after walking down the beach and through all the Seaside shops. The kitchen in the room was perfect and very helpful for cooking lunch and late night snacks. I will definitely come back.

    « 2 Sisters Down Time »

We came here for a lil relaxation and that's exactly what we got. We went, in the off season for 2 nights February 9-11th. It was about $100 a night for a partial ocean view. We got the 5th floor which is the top floor. It was beautiful, serene and quiet. Only complaint is the beds..they were so soft that you sunk into it. Two steps from beach and 5 to core of shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.

« Small Nice Rooms in Outdated Hotel On The Beach »

The drive up to this hotel is underwhelming. Small crowded side streets lead you to the parking lot and outdated exterior. We were disappointed. The lobby is small but updated. Staff was kind and helpful. We had a 2nd floor room with beautiful view of the ocean. The room is remodeled and clean but noticed hole in carpet and tiny bathroom (no fan). The wall bed is a neat feature. Pool and hot tub were clean and small. Exercise room is spacious and clean. Saw laundry facilities with several machines being used by other guests. Location is icky but proximity to beach is great.

They even helped with a surprise I set up for my husband for when we checked in. The food in the restaurant and lounge is top notch. they are 10 feet from the sand on the beach the views from the ocean view jacozie rooms are to die for. just fill up the tub pop open a bottle of wine and relax.

    « Best of Seaside »

This place always comes through. We have never had a bad stay at this place. The beds are very comfortable and I loved the pillows..! No sore neck. The location is convenient for walks or to see the sights and get a snack or dinner.

« Great ocean view, comfy bed, and jetted tub suites »

We have stayed here before and decided to stay again. We love the Best Western rewards program. We always book the oceanfront jacuzzi suite when we stay, as it is usually for our anniversary. The jetted tub overlooks the ocean and is large enough to comfortably fit two people. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. The pool and hot tub area is a little small for a Best Western that has its own restaurant. The unfortunate downside of the restaurant being built into the hotel, is that there is no continental breakfast- only a 10% discount on breakfast at the restaurant. Still enjoyed our stay, and even took advantage of the available movie rentals and snacks for sale in the lobby.

    5
« Can't beat it for the price »

Great view, large room w/fireplace and kitchenette. Walk to all the restaurants and sights along the beach or promenade. More restaurants etc..to offer than the nearby Cannon beach area which is quainter.

« Day by the sea »

We stayed one night to be with our granddaughter and breathe the ocean air! Property was located perfectly on the boardwalk close to downtown. The restaurant on site should perhaps revamp the dinner menu to attract more guests. No need to have so many choices on menu. It would be better to serve fewer dishes of higher quality. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    3
    « Poor Heater »

The heater never produced enough heat. Had to turn on the elec burners to get heat. Felt this was bad PR as we were there in January. The room did have a fantastic view of the ocean with a balcony. Also could walk right to the beach from the hotel.

    5
    « Great! »

Stay was a perfect get-a-way at the ocean, my favorite place! Great room and location definitely contributed to pleasure! We were able to keep drapes open day and night, for viewing the waves and the sea, and addition to the ambiance. (Requesting such a long essay-review is above and beyond!)

« Incredible spot on the beach »

Easy to find and once we arrived, Heidi at the Desk - was Wonderful! Caring, Friendly and went out of her way to ensure we fell in love with the hotel. It's our new Favorite weekend stay-cation and was our first visit to Seaside, OR. We will be back soon, because of Heidi's good Customer Delight Services- Cleaning staff in Halls were Friendly and very helpful too. ( We especially loved all the detailed towel folding they did in our bathroom) There is a restaurant and bar/ lounge on premises for convenience. Sunday offers a full breakfast menu to purchase from, or a Wonderful Breakfast Brunch you can purchase, filled with Eggs-Potatoes-waffles with all the toppings( kids love the fruit and whipped cream) fresh fruit- bacon and sausage and pastries. we sat by the warm fireplace to enjoy our breakfast. The gal who took care of us in the Restaurant and lounge - (172 Alejander) went above and beyond accommodating our requests and needs -for two days .... even getting us coffee to go, for our long drive home ahead of us!!! Rooms were clean and well set up. With both a desk and chair, two queen beds and a table and two chairs, balcony with chairs and Fridge - coffee area for convenience. We didn't stay in an ocean front view room, however the beautiful corner room we stayed in on the top floor ( 5), gave us a wall of windows and a view of both the ocean and town, that couldn't be beat. The balcony with chairs to enjoy the sounds of the waves was a very welcome place to sit. It did rain off and on in January during our stay. But it's quickly over and filled with dry periods throughout the day for sightseeing. Note: Welcome addition to any room was found here without request, a stand fan!!!!! Bravo for thinking ahead BW. I highly recommend this hotel for a Beach vacation for Families, couples or singles, any time of the year.

« Enjoyed our stay but could not stay warm. »

Over all the hotel was very nice, clean and is in a great location. All the staff including the restaurant that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was the room temperature. We had a pet with us on our stay which put us on the second floor. The section we stayed in has an open air hall way. The heater in the room was not adequate enough to heat the room to a comfortable temperature. We had to crank it to the highest temp (86) the entire time we were there and that still would not heat the room above 69 degrees. Had to request two extra blankets for my daughter to stay worm at night. During the day when we were in the room we wore hoodies or climbed under the covers to keep the chill off. Aside from that it was a pretty nice room.

« Grandkids love this place »

Several times per year we take many of our grandchildren to Seaside and we always stay at the Best Western Ocean View Resort. The indoor pool is a big hit so even when the weather is bad they have a great time. The hotel is very child friendly and makes having a large group manageable. We all enjoy the weekend and have a quality visit.

« Good Choice for a Winter Vacation in Seaside »

This is our second stay at this hotel in Seaside, Oregon. We have been pleased with our stay both times and have had a great time in town and at the beach. My kids love the heated indoor pool (we're here because the hotel hosts the Pacific University masters in writing program/residency in January each year and it's chilly). It's right on the beach and is walking distance to the downtown business district. In fact, because of the canals it's quicker to walk than to drive. I looked at the other reviews... the room was 57 degrees when we checked in but we had no problems with the heater and it warmed up the room quickly. The hallways are very cold, particularly when coming back from the pool, but we knew that so the kids brought robes/hoodies to wear back from the pool room. We have had a two queen room each time, which is plenty big enough for the 4 of us... I saw a full ocean view king room with a fireplace when housekeeping had the door propped open to clean and it looked really nice. They also have an exercise room (treadmill, bike, TV, free weights, basic exercise/weight machine), a guest laundry (a key feature for people with kids!) and a restaurant. This year they upgraded the bathrooms to walk-in showers (no tub). The water splashes out under the shower curtain so watch out for that... I recommend not putting the floor mat down until after your shower or it'll get soaked.

    « Average Stay »

The hotel was clean, pet friendly with a balcony and ocean view. A little dated and needing minor repairs/upgrades. The bed was very firm good for the wife not so good for me. The staff was accommodating except for the early check in request was a little difficult to get. I went for the ocean breeze and some much needed R&R. Mission accomplished.

« Hotel at the coast line of Seaside »

This hotel is located directly at the coastline of Seaside. So from hotel to the beach it is only a few meters and if you have a room with sea view it might be spectacular for sunsets. We stayed only one night and had a room with partly sea view. This room was located at the north side of the hotel and it was in the back (town side) of the hotel - and it was directly above the main air condition of the hotel. For one night okay but a little bit to loud. We only found sleep with closed windows :-( So if you get one of these rooms try to change. Our stay was without breakfast so we only can vote or describe the room and based on the fact that there was no coffee shop or other shop to buy snacks we cannot vote for food.

« Favorite place to stay in Seaside »

We have been visiting this hotel for almost 8 years now, and have always been impressed with the thoughtfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, and the unparalleled ocean views. The location is extremely convenient, and the spacious rooms offer a kitchenette so that we can make dinner in the room if we so choose. I personally love to go soak in the hot tub while I am there. We visited in December, and found the rate to be very reasonable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway in Seaside.

« our stay at Best Western Seaside »

beautiful location....slept to oceans sounds. Local amenities are excellent and entertainment is above average. Been coming back for our anniversary for many years. We have spoken so highly of our stays that now we bring members of our family to share in this experience.

« My fav' place to stay in Seaside »

For the past 10 years I have always stayed at the same place when visiting the coast. At the start of 2015 my normal place was full so I booked a room here. My experience was amazing, I loved the room, the bed/pillows are very comfortable, the view is perfect if you have ocean front, the staff fun/friendly and I have nothing bad to say about the resort. I have stayed no place other than here during 2015 and plan on that being my tradition of where to stay going forward.

« New Years get away »

We got away from town on new years day for a coastal escape. The employees were friendly, accommodating, even with us arriving at the property earlier than check in time. The lounge service was great very attentive staff, good food and cold beer.

« Excellent location on the beachwalk and pet friendly too. »

The location of this hotel is great since it is right on the beach/boardwalk and also near the down town restaurants. Indoor pool, decent bar and restaurant and balcony rooms overlooking the ocean. One note, the actual beach is huge and it is a long walk through the sand to actually get to the water. What more could you ask for? I would come back and likely will.

« older facility but nice rooms »

We stayed one night for new years eve. Room was nice, right on the ocean. the facility is a little older but seemed well maintained. the lobby area was very cold, needs more heaters or something. We would definitely stay at this location again.

    « It was ok. »

Was nice and pet friendly. The front desk was superb. Our room was very spacious. Restaurant was horrible and a waste of money. The location was excellent. Very close to the Aquarium. Right across from the beach. Quiet rooms are over the restaurant.

« for the right price it is a nice place »

oceanfront, but only for maybe half the rooms. We booked through priceline for a view room and when arrived were told it was not available, the gave us a room looking over the parking lot and a voucher for the restaurant in exchange. Room was pretty quiet and in good shape except someone had spilled a bunch of coffee in the corner and soaked into one of our bags of clothes. The hotel is a little odd, it is built partially like a hotel partially like a motel. the main hallways are freezing cold and open to the outdoors in multiple areas. The pool and hottub are nice but the hot tub was closed for much of the time because they were supposedly trying to heat it up(we actually saw them putting tons of chemicals into it, so my guess is the water tested bad and they didn't want to disclose that). The restaurant ended up being and ok plus but only because we didn't have to pay. Overall, since we didn't get a ocean view it would have been better to stay away from the promenade and get a hotel that offers more anemities for a better price, but we had already booked and decided to stick with it. Probably will check others before going back here unless we can get a great deal.

    « BED BUGS! »

Walked into the room, put my bag on the bed like usual looked at the bed to make sure I don't see anything, saw a bug crawling on the covers. Looked at the other bed, more bugs crawling on that cover. Went back downstairs, told the lady we can't stay in that room. One lady tried to find another room for me but the other lady said because I put my bag on the bed, I cannot stay in the hotel. So basically I got kicked out of that hotel because of THEIR disgusting issue. I went to gather my mom (who's disabled and just drove 5 hours to get there and my niece), the front desk ladies came back and said they will change the sheets for me but that is it. I said I want my money back. I asked one lady for a garbage bag as I didn't want to put my bag in my car at that point, she seemed surprised I was asking for that. I am so disappointed in all that happened!!

« Affordable beach front hotel with convenient access to main strip »

Nice friendly stuff at this hotel. Comfortable staying with kids and pets. Has an on-site restaurant but no free breakfast. Easy access to beach and shopping and dinning. We had the first floor ocean view room. There is a balcony but gated off from the side walk & lawn area which is nice. The room was a bit cold but had a nice imitation fireplace. I will definitely go back this summer.

    « Family vacation time »

I took my family to Seaside last week for a 5 day break and much needed time together. The view is phenomenal facing the beach and ocean, whether the sun is brightly shining or the wind and rain are howling (we had both). The facilities are comfortable, well-equipped and maintained (they have kitchens and newly remodeled bathrooms), and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our special requests (like waiting to clean our room until later in the afternoon). There was some construction noise during work hours, but it was muted and no inconvenience to us. I was also pleased with the quality of the fare from the restaurant (we were lazy and ordered room service one night). All things considered, you cannot go wrong staying at the Best Western Ocean View Resort. We will make this trip again.

    « Great Honeymoon »

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon and I must share the amazing experience we had. This is the third time I have stayed at this establishment and it certainly will not be the last. We stayed for an entire week and had a wonderful time. We stayed in one of the King Jacuzzi rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean. Since it is December there were a lot of storms and we had a great view of the churning ocean from the large jetted tub. We arrived at roughly ten in the evening still in our wedding clothes. The woman at the front desk greeted us warmly and knew immediately who we were. She checked us in quickly and handed us our keycards which are RFID cards and do not need to be swiped but simply tapped against the locking mechanism. We went up to the room and found that housekeeping had folded towels to make two swans with their necks making a heart. In addition, there was a small bottle of wine and two champagne flutes that were ours to keep! We settled in quickly. The room was clean as usual and the bed was overly soft. I personally found the bed too soft and had some joint problems but it was very comfortable (if that makes sense). The decor of the room is a little dated but pleasing overall. Note: air conditioning is not available in these rooms but there is a fan directly over the bed. Since you are on the Oregon coast you shouldn't need air conditioning anyway. The bathroom was newly renovated but too small in my opinion and didn't have the ventilation it needed. I felt like everything stayed moist in the bathroom regardless of how long ago the shower was used. Also, the lack of shelf space in the shower was disappointing; likely a non-issue for short stays but for us it was a bit tedious. December is the month the hotel does renovations and so we were woken one morning by a table saw which had been placed at the end of the hall right by our doorway. It was upsetting and we complained immediately. I felt the manager did a wonderful job of accommodating us and apologized for the noise and the lack of notification of renovations. After this incidence we didn't have anymore issues with construction but it was present. Just know that if you go in December you will likely deal with construction at the hotel. Our experience at the restaurant was sub-par to say the very least. The last time we stayed at the hotel was in October of 2008 and we ate at the restaurant onsite at least once a day. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet and were always busy. This time around the restaurant was always empty (perhaps because of the weather and the time of the year but still) and there was no breakfast buffet. That makes sense due to the time of year however, the service was unsatisfactory. When we walked in we had to wander to the back to be noticed and our server was absent pretty much the entire time. We could hear here chatting in the back with the cook. This was fine as we were the only customers however, she didn't really refill our water glasses (a serious issue for me) and was generally unfriendly. When we asked her about the breakfast buffet she announced that the restaurant had a new manager who had decided to remove the buffet during winter months. It is available during the summer months. She seemed upset about this fact but did not expand on her comment. The restaurant prices have gone up significantly since our last stay. That is fine, however, I felt the prices were too high considering the competition in town. Considering the service we received and the disappointing quality of the food it is a no-brainier to go to the main drag to eat. I understand that most of this is circumstantial however, I don't feel there is an excuse for poor service and disappointing food. Perhaps the dinner service was better but breakfast needed some work which is concerning because it is the foundation of the day. I would rather see the restaurant closed during December than offer the service they did. Overall, I cannot tell you how nice the stay was overall. It wasn't without its hiccups but it was nice overall. We really enjoyed the level of service we received at the actual hotel and found it to be the perfect honeymoon for us.

« Fabulous View, Close to the Beach »

Overall our stay was pleasant. Staff was great, our room was exceptional (including our bed). Walk out the hotel door and your real close to the beach. Pool and hot tub was under renovation. Our slider closet door was broken which was an inconvience. There isn't a breakfast served at this hotel but there is a restaurant on site. We didn't choose to eat there because prices were spendy. Nearby restaurants served fabulous seafoods. I might mention our room was equipped with a kitchenette which proved to be an asset.

    3
    « Never have hot-tub working »

no hot-tub and way too much construction going on. should do one floor at a time. made it very unpleasant for us as guests. If one floor at a time was the case you could have just shut down that floor and no guests would be next door to construction. The outside of the Hotel and it's design is not inviting at all.

    5
    « Nice Property »

Nice property with hallways exposed to the outside temperatures. Fresh ocean air, yet rather cool going down for dinner or breakfast. Nice attentive staff. Friendly and helpful. we will use this location in the future.

    2
    « Bad room with a view »

The Only thing good about this place was the view. The room was pretty standard, except that it had an outside entrance, and the door wasn't sealed properly, so the room never heated up. The wind was blowing and the room kept getting these Arctic blasts through the crack around the door. I couldn't enjoy it. The food at Salvatore's was flavorless and not cooked properly. The staff were not very knowledgable about the area or the holiday schedules of the restaurants in town. I'm not sure how these guys managed to get the Best Western name, but they really aren't living up to Best Western standards.

    4
    « Nice location »

We stayed one night on a shopping road trip. The hotel was nice, staff friendly and clean. My kids tried the pool - they did say it was cold. The only other concern was that the common areas in the hotel (front lobby and hallways on the floors) were freezing cold. As in AC on high freezing cold - keep in mind it was November 11 so not warm outside.

    « Honeymoon »

Our stay with an ocean view was fantastic. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions and went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. Our room was awesome and we loved the location right on the boardwalk. My wife turns 50 next year and we will be coming back and also bringing our dogs for the stay.

« Our car was stolen right out of their parking lot!!! »

The hotel is great, clean and comfortable, close to the beach...The staff is friendly, helpful & accommodating. Unfortunately, our car was stolen from their parking lot, right from under their noses. While we realize this unfortunate event was not caused by Best Western, there is little done to deter the criminal activity. The parking lot is not monitored, nor does it have any type of security in place (cameras or otherwise), that might discourage something like this from happening. My advice: Look for lodging further away from the Promenade and the crime in that area...You'll find something less expensive and perhaps even a property that invests in the safety of their customer's and their belongings.

« Best Western Ocean View Resort »

We spent a recent Saturday at this hotel while in Seaside. First unless you are familiar with Seaside don't trust your older GPS to find this place. The directions get you to the correct street but you cannot get to the hotel. Use your common sense and turn around and come in from the north side onto 5th street and you will go right into the parking lot. We had an superior ocean view room on the second floor which we pd $ 99.00 for it had a small kitchenette with stove, micro, fridge and dishwasher. The room also had a Murphy bed and small sitting area with sofa. They forced a chair into the corner of the room by the front door which just cluttered up a nice entrance way and made it difficult to bring suitcases into the room with banging into it. The bathroom was clean but small. The view from the second floor looks out into the ocean however there is a promenade which means little privacy if you leave the curtains open to enjoy the view. i would ask for a higher floor for future stays so as to enjoy the view and have some privacy. The bed was a very comfortable king, the carpet did had two holes in it which staff should have fixed. I also found a lack of outlets to be a pain when trying to charge cell phones and laptops. The room was clean and staff was friendly. There is an onsite restaurant which gives a 10% discount to guests. Overall the hotel is pretty good and I would stay here again but opt for a higher floor.

    « Plasant Stay »

Stay was very good. We didn't have any problems with our dogs other than the continual rain. Only problem was the bath drain which was very slow. Weather was not good but did not affect our stay. Food at the restaurant was mediocre.

« Vacation Travel West Coast, USA »

It had been several years since we last traveled this portion of Hwy 101 in Washington State. It is still as interesting and beautifull as we remembered. There were a few more accomodations than the last trip. We were pleased to fine the Best Western Seaside, we felt secure that it would be upto the Best Western Standards we are accustomed. We were not disappointed. The Staff we met were professional, courteous and quick to respond to any question. Suggest, Spring, Summer, early fall for best travel time. November thru March, beware of SNOW, which can make travel hazzardous. Highly recommended.

« Best Western Ocean View »

The staff at check in were very helpful and pleasant. Our room was in great shape and we did not have a reservation and were offered a discount upon checking in. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great! The room was very clean. We had no issues while we were there.

« Nearly froze to death »

The hotel was on the ocean. The rooms were ok. The service in the bar was non-existent. The hallways were not heated and had no exterior doors so on the day I was there they were like iceboxes and you would nearly freeze to death getting from the elevator to you room.

    « Beautiful views »

Arrived after dark. Our room was seaside and we woke to the sun coming up over the ocean...beautiful, beautiful. Fireplace in room was nice as was the kitchenette. Lovely indoor pool and hot tub. 100% satisfied.

« The Place to Stay when in Seaside, Or. »

This is the spot to stay when in Seaside, Oregon. Located right on the beach, it is a short walk to the downtown area. The Hotel is wonderful with five levels, open verandas, safe parking, and friendly staff always ready to assist to ensure your pleasant stay.

    « Comfortable and relaxing »

Check in process was fast with a cheerful and helpful employee. The room clean and perfect for our needs. Great view of the ocean when we opened the curtains in the morning~ was a stormy night which is always fun at the beach. Would recommend this hotel to my friends.

    « Bargain-but beware the in-house restaurant »

The Seaside Best Western is a very comfortable place to stay in Seaside. It's ocean front (albeit 200 yards of sand from the water, but that's nature for you), includes a faux fireplace that is nice enough, a comfortable modern bed, decent furniture, cleanliness, a tiny but warm pool and sweet hot tub, and friendly, helpful staff. Overall, it is a bargain in this town which includes too many overpriced rooms. That said, BEWARE Salvatores-the in house restaurant. A room service order of a burger, salad, and two martinis included a Dry burger with a Tiny amount of ketchup, the salad was lacking in dressing (what dressing there was-was watered down thin and bad, and one of the martinis seemed to lack any alcohol at all-presumably so watered down as to lack a flavor of origin. Meh. Ugh. Eat out.

    « Ocean View »

Very nice room with an EXCELLENT view of the Ocean. Don't stay on the bottom floor if you are wanting to watch the Ocean. Thankfully we didn't. The restaurant is outstanding. We had Fish and Chips, Salad and Clam Chowder. Would recommend this hotel to friends.

    5
    « Ocean Viewing »

The Best Western Ocean View Resort is a great place to stay if you want to experience ocean viewing and storm watching. It's always clean and orderly with helpful staff. It can be pricey in the summer months, but during the rest of the year the price is reasonable and our favorite place to stay in the Seaside/Cannon Beach area.

    « A day at the beach »

Even off season and slightly overcast/rain this is a beautifull hotel.. Had a in-room fireplace and breath taking view.. Good bargin since it was not great weather but was able to take a stroll on walkway to see the ocean after breakfast. Staff was extremely helpfull.. Had to buy breakfast and dinner was ok but pricey as resturant was attached to hotel but not part of it. They only had 1 wait staff on duty in dining room and bar so it took a bit of time to eat. It would be a great place to spend a weekend in October or November.

    2
    « Don't stop here in the off-season »

Indifferent staff provide a room and a cold water shower at reduced rates. Motel Six is a better bet. I could go on but at least i had the sense to walk to the Shilo Inn for a great dinner with a great view of the beach and the sunset.

« Great Staff, Location, and room »

We went on a little trip to celebrate my son's 16's birthday. I asked if the room had a view of the beach. I wanted it to be a fun and good stay for his bday. Amber and Victoria (they are super nice) offered boys movies and gave us a nice spacious room upstairs. We bought the s'mores packet (you get a bucket of s'mores making stuff! Marshmallows, Hershey's, graham crackers, fire wood, matches, sticks, newspaper for fire starter) Everything you need. The weather was wet but couldn't have been a nicer weekend for my son and his friend. I want to thank you for taking part in making my son's birthday a memorable day! I highly recommend it for a family get away. We will go back for sure.

« A great stay on the Prom »

We wanted a hotel on the Prom in Seaside. We wanted one with a name we recognized that had a good reputation. Our stay was delightful. The staff was friendly and courteous. The rooms comfortable and clean at a very reasonable price. We would stay here again.

« Great location and fabulous room in older hotel in Seaside »

Visited the Oregon coast last July and decided to stay right at the beach in the heart of Seaside. We chose the Best Western Ocean View resort mostly because we are a family of three and they had a room with a king bed and a pull down queen murphy bed for our teen son. The room was fab, with an ocean view from the balcony and a nice walking path from the hotel along the water and to the downtown (just five minutes). Super location and the room was very good. The room also had a full kitchen. Cost was as expected, a little high (around $300 with no included breakfast) but worth it given the amenities, location and view. The room did not have AC which would be my only concern, but it was not too hot that day we were there. Seaside was a nice place to visit. Not sure when we'll be back to Oregon. The hotel itself seems a little older and could use a face lift. Nonetheless, I can recommend it based on location and the nice set up for a family of 3.

« Great Place To Stay On The Oregon Caost »

Very Clean room. Nice quiet location and plenty of space to move around. Would recommend this as a place to stay in Seaside. Great room for the price. Would stay here again if in the area once again. Stayed one night on a trip from South to North up the Oregon coast.

    4
« Great Location, Clean Property »

Hotel is on the Prom and close to shopping, the beach and restaurants. Adequate parking and well lit property. Property is kept clean and well maintained. Off season rates are competive. There is a restaurant on premise. All rooms have refrigerators and cable tv.

    « Repeat visitor »

Nice hotel---wave action hard to discern in distance---balcony is nice (not all rooms have one) Two elevators---no longer has gas fireplaces-replaced by faux flames (no heat)--room not airconditioned (302) room sleeps four with Murphy Bed/couch which takes up 35% of room even when stored....Five floors with room configurations different and some ground floor alcoves below ground level---some rooms have different kitchen configurations---Room side-by-side ensuited with 302A and opposite hall is 301 and 301A---Central booking disclosures are inadequate to select room choices/preferences. On-line hotel web does not disclose these differently confirgured rooms (corner rooms) etc. Prominade nearby---six blocks to city central with city parking lot free...Salvatore's restaurant is Italian fusion----no free breakfast at this BW Plus..... Ceiling fan/light has only one setting for each function....

    3
« Great location on the Prom »

Although the location is great, the staff friendly and helpful and the room comfortable, the hotel feels just average. We were on the fifth floor and had a nice partial view of the ocean. The lobby is awkward and there is no complimentary breakfast (although there is coffee service in the lobby and coffee makers and small refrigerators in the room) and the mattress had a strange feel to it - although be slept just fine. That said, it met our needs and we would return for another stay.

    2
    « Dissapointing »

We stayed at the Riverside Inn at Seaside last night (5/5!!! Totally recommend) but they were full so had to move over here. Super disappointed, tiny room with "windows" that faced the hallway, room freezing and heater slow to work. Bathroom tiny. Carpet dirty looking. No comparison to Riverside and more expensive. Very run of the mill hotel. Do yourself a favour and stay at Riverside Inn (boutique, clean, spacious, warm cookies, free dvd rentals, blazing fast wifi, great games room and pool, wonderful continental breakfast, outdoor fire on the river, children's playground-best hotel I have ever stayed at)

Beautiful room. Comfortable bed. Gorgeous view. Jetted tub, also with a gorgeous view! Great bar (I suggest the Long Beach Iced Tea!). We didn't get to the restaurant. Friendly staff. A really nice 2 day getaway. My husband uses a mobility scooter and it was so nice to be right on the Promenade.

Shout out to best western seaside staff for all you do !!!

    « Very pleasant. »

Although we did not get the room we were promised (due to a hotel booking site), we enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there again! We will book through Best Western next time and make sure we are in a balcony room. We had a patio room (bottom floor/partial view) and it was actually very nice. We were able to enjoy a view of the ocean and it was fun to watch people on the promenade. We were spoke to often and was made to feel extremely welcome!

« Great location, great sleep »

We had an ocean view room with king bed and kitchenette and it was immaculately clean, updated, spacious and comfortable. The fireplace added a nice touch to the ambiance of the room. We enjoyed happy hour on the balcony and listening to the sound of the waves. Had a great sleep as the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right on the boardwalk and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We were travelling in the off season in October and felt we got good value for the price of a beach front hotel in such a popular tourist destination.

    5
    « A nice hotel »

My husband and I were looking for a decent hotel, on a last minute getaway. We decided on the Best Western after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a kitchenette that we did not use, but it was very clean as well. We found the staff very pleasant, and will definitely stay there again.

    5
    « Wonderful vacation! »

This hotel had an ocean front view and balcony for awesome sunsets. There's also a convenient boardwalk right next to the beach, which we loved. The front desk staff was very helpful, especially when we had a slight problem with housekeeping, which was quickly remedied. The room was comfortable with handy kitchen. Wish the fireplace had been more real.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Front desk staff were extremely helpful getting us a room on short notice. Room was very comfortable, laid out well and the view was amazing. WIFI was better than any of the other hotels we stayed at in this area.

    « Dog Friendly »

Nice place to stay when traveling with dog....plenty of areas to walk dog. Restaurant adjacent to hotel worked well....Staff friendly and professional. I would stay again when traveling with dog. Plenty of parking on site.

    « Good location »

We stayed here for 2 nights in a first floor oceanfront limited view room with a patio. Not having stayed here before, I did not realize what that really meant, and although I would stay in this property again, I would not book a first floor room. The "limited" view was because you could not really see the ocean much because of the high sand level. Also, there were a lot of people making use of the prom (boardwalk) and the property is close enough to the prom that I felt that our privacy was compromised. Otherwise I was pleased with our room and the property in general. We had a king bed, a sofa, and a fireplace, along with the other usual amenities, so it was very comfortable for a couple nights. Since we were there on a weekend with a lot of families in town, I was glad that we were somewhat out of the town center, but still close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. They have an onsite restaurant, but breakfast was not included. Everything was clean and well maintained.

« Great Location, Small bathroom »

Decor somewhat updated. Oceanview rooms have balconies that have an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. Higher floors would be better for the view, although our room on the 3rd floor was fine. Our room had a small but adequate kitchenette. Bathrooms are very small and dated with no fans, but do have heat lamps. Bed was fine. There is no A/C, although you won't need it with the cool temps at night and the ocean breezes.

    « Can I find a B & W? »

I usually use GPS to find a B&W, however there are many times when the GPS indicates a B&W but when I get there it's another Brand. B&W should make sure that GPS has good information. You're not getting some business out there.

« Very nice, great location, on boardwalk »

very nice hotel on the Oregon north coast. Seaside is a perfect place to stop for a night, and has a nice area for shopping and eating. Hotel very reasonable, quiet, comfortable, clean; good WiFi. It's on the beach in a great location, with outdoor parking, and close to restaurants; have breakfast at the nearby Pig N Pancakes (have the blueberry pancakes).

    3
    « Don't be fooled by pictures »

It appears all rooms face ocean, but our room was attached to an ocean room and looked out at a wall and the walkway. We were told an ocean view would cost $30 more. Why not advise that when we had made reservation? Room was tiny. Had to step around toilet to shut the bathroom door. Noisy from all the walking outside. Would not stay here again.

    5
    « A beautiful view »

This hotel is perfectly located, with a beautiful view of the ocean and an easy, short walk to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The view of the ocean from a balcony was perfect, the fireplace in the room added ambience in the evening. Staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgable about the area.
