    « Thanksgiving Trip »

Service and staff personnel very friendly and good. In addition to breakfast, soup and cookies offered in the evenings - nice touch but get it early!! Close to freeway and traffic and some guests noisy but not bad. Very close to mom :)

    « nice »

decent comfortable rooms , i got a great deal! could have used a little more information about the hotel and area from front desk but other than that I had a comfortable stay. will stay again if in the area!

    « Don't be fooled by exterior »

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this property-in need of an update, and, I was especially skeptical as we travel with our dogs and there was hardly a patch of green for walking, but, when I asked the very nice person (may have been the manager) at the front desk, she explained how to easily access the enormous trail system just across the street. Between that and the BLM office with tons of greenery, you are just a minute of walking until ample space. Most impressive though was the kindness and helpfulness of every staff member. The guy when I first checked in quite early was on a phone call not related to work, but he apologized profusely and helped me during and in between his call to get an early check-in on the ground floor. Several things impressed me, having lots of BW's and moderate range hotel stays each month to compare to, with the room features: namely, great internet, not the usual sign-in 2-3 times per day, and "hooray" ! outlets on all the lamps for charging. Nice cooling/heating system with an energy saving setting. No plastic utensils on property and earth thanks them! Even an evening light snack hour-including soup-we didn't have time to avail, but good to know. The most wonderful thing about this stay, though, unlike the other time this happened, is that we decided to leave at 2:00 and, incredibly, even though the room was already made up, they totally refunded our money. This is the kind of service I would expect from a much more expensive hotel/resort and, unfortunately we have had hidden charges and excessively punitive rates for no show or day late arrival-the most recent of which was when the resort does not mail confirmation and we could not remember where to cancel, when we did, and it was that day, they still charged for the entire 2 day stay. Of course we will never go back to that place or recommend and now, wherever we travel to Roseburg or need a place on way to WA from Cali, we will return to Garden Villa in Roseburg. 5 stars for customer service and value. (also very reasonable pet fee and pet friendly)

    « A Nice Hotel »

The Best Western Garden Villa Inn is a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is great for traveling, just off I-5. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was fine. I stayed upstairs, which I prefer, but note that the hotel does not have an elevator. This is a place I would stop again while traveling through this area.

    4
    « Well presented. »

Easy access from the highway was a bonus for someone like us just travelling through. This motel represented well the standard of cleanliness and care we know and expect from Best Western properties. Good breakfast.

    5
    « Great Walk-In Experience »

Great all-around experience starting with Shane the night desk clerk who was fantastic as well as a friendly lovely person. Jeanie in the breakfast room had the sunniest disposition and really acted more like a waitress during the self-serve buffet, which featured hot food. Both employees are a credit to this hotel. Our room was remarkably quiet for being so near the freeway, the beds were comfortable, and the room was a good size. I would recommend Garden Villa and stay there again.

« Clean rooms, friendly staff »

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. The last time the hotel was full with a convention which made it a little noisy, but this trip was much quieter. The room was not large but very clean and I appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. The morning and evening staff are pleasant and the cookies in the evening were a nice touch. I slept well, which is unusual for me in a hotel.

    5
    « Easy, Clean, affordable »

I was pleasantly surprised by the easy access to this hotel from I-5, and equally pleased by the service! I was given a lovely room, a suite, for no additional cost. The room was very clean and spacious-- lived the special touch of hand towels folded like shells. Wish I'd taken a photo! Check out was also fast. I'll definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Comfortable, accomodating. »

Clean, mostly quiet, nice pool in season, comfortable, accommodating and pet friendly. Price is right too. Easy access from I-5 or Garden Valley Blvd. Included breakfast and evening snack are a super extras.

« Best hotel in Roseburg »

I go down to Roseburg, OR several times during the year and always stay at the BW. Friendly staff, clean room good breakfast. The staff is getting to know me and I always get a friendly greeting with a welcome back

« One of the friendliest »

From the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast. Everyone seemed happy to be working there and it showed. One of the friendliest places I have ever stayed. And kudos to the gal that took care of the breakfast room.

    3
« Minimally Adequate For the Price »

Our cost tonight was $123 for a King Room. This is not a hotel but a motel with older decor. The bed comfort is just okay. The rooms are on the outside versus in a hotel where the rooms and lobby are inside the building. I stayed at a Marriott Courtyard last night in California for the same price and got a superior room with an excellent bed, decor, etc... I am very disappointed with how average this room is for the cost. It is overpriced for what you get.

    4
    « BW Garden Valley »

Clean, friendly, and comfortable for short stay. Hot breakfast area and staff provide ample choices for starting the day. Located in central Roseburg, close to historical areas, VA grounds and plenty of shopping.

    3
    « Just Adequate »

Fairly nice decor and average breakfast. Not enough parking spots because the hotel was pretty full (and one customer alone took up 5 or 6 spaces with their truck and trailer), and there appears to be no (legal) street parking. The front desk people were nice. Lots of freeway noise, but that's not the hotel's fault. We were disappointed when all the copies of the morning newspaper were already gone by 7:00am on a Saturday......why would they order so ridiculously few copies? Better not to tell people they provide newspapers at all, than to disappoint them by deliberately ordering too few! Probably wouldn't stay here again.

    4
    « Comfortable lodging »

Although the motel could use some updating, our room was clean and comfortable. It was near the interstate, but we did not hear road noise from our room. They serve a good buffet breakfast with friendly and efficient wait staff.

    2
« Not up to Best Western standards »

I normally go to Best Western Hotels because they very seldom disappoint me. Not the case here. This hotel was over priced, noisy, not well attended to. We arrived very tired and without a reservation. That was my mistake. The room was generally clean but discarded orange peels on the (spare pillow) shelf had been overlooked. Also the drapes wouldn't shut due to damaged mechanism so we had to pin them shut. One of the mattresses was worn out (way soft). The other one wasn't great but ok. Also not very good sound insulation. I would only stay here again if it was priced a lot lower than what we were charge and then not for more than 1 night.

    5
« Professional staff; clean accomodations. »

Reasonable pricing; clean room; courteous staff; clean premises; can hear some road noise from nearby busy street; but also very accessible from freeway on and off. Would stay again without hesitation. Breakfast options were above average. Missing from the usual offerings were pastries. Only a small mini cinnamon roll was offered as I recall. Raisin bread, couple varieties of bagels, english muffins were offered.

    4
    « Stay in Roseburg »

I always stay at this hotel when in Roseburg. Convenient location off the interstate. Rooms are fine and the beds are ok. the staff is great and the breakfast is good as well. Pool and hot tub look nice but I never get the chance to use them

    4
    « Great on a budget »

This is an older property that has been renovated. Best I can tell, completely renovated. I found a deal on the internet and only paid $50. And for $50 you can't go wrong. My only complaint, and why they didn't get Excellent, is because the WF-FI was spotty or not working. But all in all, the room was clean with all of the necessary amenities and a pretty decent breakfast. I'll be back the next time I pass through.

    5
« Nice place to spend the night! »

Our room, #368, was an incredibly large room -- with a Jacuzzi ? which, unfortunately, we were too tired to use! The cost of the room was a little on the expensive side for us, but we did enjoy the room as it met our 6 criteria standards for an overnight room. 1. The bed was stellar! 2. Everything was very clean. 3. It was quiet and we even had a window overlooking little fenced-in area. 4. The bathroom, towels and amenities were all very nice and up to our standards. 5. The lighting was very good. 6. The Internet worked perfectly. Lyn at the front desk was very efficient and friendly ? and her cookies were delicious and very appreciated after a long day on the road! Definitely a nice place to spend the night!

    « Nothing special »

Have stayed here a couple of times. Rooms are plain, clean but not very comfortable. This last time we ended up with a room with only queen bed. Haven't seen a room like that in awhile. Breakfast was ok for free. Staff was friendly. If the motel is full parking can be a problem.

    2
« Would never stay here again. »

I rented a room at this property because it was "pet friendly", but discovered on check-in there was no grass for them to use. The A/C was the antique push button type which didn't cool the room at all and the Wi-Fi was down. The hotel clerk did try to reboot the router server times, but to no avail.

    5
    « Good value/ central location »

This room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good. It was easy to get to the hotel and to get to the various areas of the area that I wanted to visit. Even though it was close to the freeway I never heard the freeway noise.

    5
« The best customer service EVER »

My Husband and I are making a last minute trip to Rosburg Oregon from Carson city Nevada this weekend. We were looking at rooms online to book. We found a deal through Priceline and booked it. Not realizing our computer had reset the dates for two weeks ahead. In a panic I called the Best Western Garden Villa and spoke to an amazing customer service agent named Ryan. I was very upset in tears and he skillfully calmed me down and helped get the dates correct. Reassured me by sending a confirmation email while we were on the phone. We can't wait to come stay and am so very thankful for the kindness, professionalism, and helpfulness of this above standard employee. What a great experience. Thank you!!

    « handy location »

the Garden Villa is visible from the I-5, which made it easy to find. However, that's what also made it a bit noisy for me, and woke me up at 5:30 the first morning :( My room was up on the second floor, and on the closest side to the freeway. I had earplugs, but forgot to have them handy when I went to bed. Did not make that mistake for the second and third nights, and I slept fine. I had friends who had booked a room with 2 double beds (mine was a queen), and they were on the bottom level, away from the I-5, and they said their room was quiet. We really appreciated the hot tub, and made use of it all 3 nights we were there. The first night it felt good after driving all day, and the next 2 nights it felt good because we had been on our feet most of the day. I was a little surprised that there was no recycling available. Nowhere to put the water bottles, glass bottles, or anything else. Also, I got full new sheets and towels after the first night, which I didn't feel were necessary. There was no sign that said "if you wish to reuse your towels, hang them up, and if you want new towels, leave them in the tub", like some other hotels have. The second day I just left the 'do not disturb' sign on my door knob, so room service didn't replace all the linens in my room. The breakfast available each morning was well done, and also much appreciated. There was only sausage (for meat) on Saturday and Sunday morning. There had been bacon on Friday morning, but I missed it :( However, I was far from going hungry :P You could make your own waffles, there were scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, cereals, milk, oatmeal, breads, a toaster, a few flavours of small tubs of yogurt, and various juices, teas and coffees. Something for everyone :)

    « A night in Roseburg »

Visited this property on the way back to Canada from our vacation. The property is old but the room was clean with a decent bed. Hot water didn't work very well but we were given a reduction in our rate for the inconvenience (I thought this was good customer service). There are not many decent restaurants within walking distance but a trip to the historic downtown area yielded a very good meal at Salud. It's a convenient stopping place with decent value for the money. Check in and out were both easy and staff were quite friendly.

    5
    « Very Clean! »

Stayed here one night on a road trip. Very Clean rooms, staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable. Stayed at a place later in the trip at 100 dollars more per night and the rooms weren't nearly as clean or bed as comfortable as this one. Pleasantly Surprised!

    4
    « Convenient location off I-5 »

This Best Western was in a convenient location off the interstate. It was a bit odd how it seemed to be placed in a shopping center/strip mall parking area where outside my room door, looking to the left was a locked iron gate at the end of the building and I could see Pier One Imports across the way in the shopping centre. The satellite for television in my room wasn't working upon checkin so the front desk sent over a maintenance to fix it. He was stumped for awhile but finally got it going. I was a little disappointed because I missed the first 15 minutes of the season finale for a favorite show of mine. The rooms could have been a bit cleaner (i.e.-vacuumed, dusted along walls, under nightstand, etc). I would probably choose a different B.W. location should I pass thru Oregon again.

    5
« Wonderful Staff and Darth Vader Wand »

The staff was great and when I checked in at the front desk I noticed what looked like a black light saber. When I asked what it was, they chuckled and said all the maid cart have one too. Every bed and blanket is extra inspected with a this black light tool to ensure your bedding is sanitized. As you know, most things unwanted can't be seen by the naked eye. So they go above and beyond to ensure every guest has complete peace of mind when they go to sleep. I sure wish every hotel did this! Really great people! I would stay here again!

    4
« I don't know what you mean by word: TITLE »

The facilities were excellent upon check-in, and the desk clerk was very friendly. So far, so good! Then the toilet overflowed and made a mess. I was moved to a larger, lovely room in a very accommodating manner. Then the heater/air conditioner would not work, and it was getting quite late at night. The owner/manager got out ahead of the problem by getting the maintenance man, a very NICE one, to the room, and the manager "comped" my first night without being asked to do so. This is how top quality managers deal with problems---very impressive! He turned a big negative into an overall "positive!"

« Adequate lodging after a day at Crater Lake »

Our room was small but clean and the King bed was comfortable. Personnel at checkin and checkout were personable and professional. Location is through a strip shopping mall close to Hwy 5. It was surprisingly quiet. We didn't eat breakfast here.

    4
    « Nice »

Great check in experience, including a message left for us because my cell phone was dead. Nice (if small) room. Very clean. Good breakfast and extremely helpful staff. I forgot my cane; remembered just minutes later and returned nut the maid had already taken it to the office. She immediately returned to the office and brought it out to me.

    4
    « Clean and Efficient »

Clean hotel, good staff, close to the highway and average breakfast. The check in clerk was very friendly in getting us our room. Bed was very comfortable. Shower water pressure was a little weak, but otherwise very acceptable. Close on off to Interstate 5. Thanks we will visit again.

    3
« Handy location and then what? »

Located at an off-ramp by the freeway might be the best feature of this motel. It was quiet for the location, surprisingly. The room itself was smaller than average and not nearly as clean as the management would like you to think. There was too much furniture for the space. We slept in the next morning which meant the shower was on the cool side of lukewarm. Breakfast was the usual motel fare which was ok, but not special. Staff tried hard, but had little to work with at check out so no final bill including a gift card could be rendered. So all in all, we survived, but were not impressed with the facility.

    3
    « Clean and basic »

Stayed here while traveling with family. Rooms were fine, clean, and what I expected. I intentionally selected this hotel for the outdoor pool as we were traveling with 5 kids. We rushed to put suits on and get to the pool, but it was so cold we could barely put our feet in. It was disappointing when the plan was to spend the afternoon in it, but we really couldn't take the temperature. Other than that, our stay was great.

    1
    « Would not stay »

We made a reservation for this hotel but when we drove up, the area didn't feel safe. The property looked very run down. We decided to drive through to Portland rather than stay. Maybe it was just us but we stayed at best western for the last two weeks. We drove down the coast and stayed at many B/W. This just didn't work for us. There are many b/w in the area. Stay at B/W plus they are better.

    2
    « Poor wifi »

Stayed at this motel for one night while on a road trip for pleasure in Oregon. Stay at BW a lot for work and leisure travel. This one was below par for the BW brand. At check in would not give the Priceline quote. Others were complaining about the wifi at the desk. Desk clerk said it was best in town. Basically did not work. Couldn't even send an email. Also a bit dated motel.

    4
    « Old late 60's early 70's feeling »

This is an older Hotel but very quaint and the breakfast is really hearty!! A lot of ocean beaches travelers seem to stop here for the night as it's conveniently right off the freeway. You feel like you are back in the 70's by the looks of the hotel but the rooms are large and the beds comfortable.

    3
« Clean Room on our trip to Crater Lake »

This hotel advertises on billboards about their cleanliness and it's true, they do keep the rooms clean - much appreciated. The hotel itself is somewhat dated and our air conditioner wasn't very quiet but it worked fine. Because of the limited amount of hotels in the area, the place was definitely packed. The complimentary breakfast was standard for this type of hotel but the lady that managed the breakfast area was really hard-working, upbeat and helpful! It was a decent room with friendly staff.

    1
    « Room not ready »

We arrived expecting to check in, but our room was not ready. Check in time was 3:00, our room was not ready until 5:30. Manager offered $10 off. I said this was not scceptable. After a long discussion, her finally agreed to take $40 off. I called the corporate number, but they were not really interested in my problem, they did add some points to my account, big deal. I had reserved a top level room with your own balcony/patio. Turned out to be a good view into the other rooms. Overall, I would say our stay was a disaster, no more Best Westerns for us.

  • 3
    « Hotel Okay. »

Safe area, old hotel but clean. Roseburg area seems more expensive for gas, hotels etc. Might be better off stopping at Sutherlin, Or pushing onto Grants Pass or Medford. TV volume continuously went up and down, toilet continuously would fill. Staff was good, breakfast was good.

    3
« Value Stay for travelling to Disneyland »

The hotel was okay. It was clean, but the pillows were horrible. Who would have square pillows? We had an item go missing from our room, but no one seemed to care when I reported it. The breakfast was the same every day and was a little below average, but what I expected. Everything was passable enough as we only really slept in the rooms. It was run down though and dated.

    4
« Nice place to stay... »

We were visiting relatives in Roseburg and stayed at the Best Western Garden Villa Inn. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming and the room was clean and good sized. They have a nice sized pool and plenty of room for everyone. The breakfast is your basic Best Western fare. The hotel is right off the highway and that makes it easy on and off. There are also several restaurants nearby. Overall, this was a nice hotel to stay at with friendly staff and clean comfortable room.

    4
« Close to Crater Lake »

Stayed here because we were on our way to Crater Lake and not many places available on the route to it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were ok, rather dark furnishings, breakfast area nice and a variety of things to chose from.

    2
« Quality of food, not water, asthma deterents »

Cold water for showers due to broken system confirmed by motel. Food not fresh, dried out, toaster broken. they allow pets so if you have asthma its a problem. Smoking also allowed to occur in non-smoking rooms.

    5
    « Great place! »

Check out the photo. Celia says this is the cleanest room ever! She's not kidding. It was so clean we checked the baseboards, cracks, etc. and found nothing but CLEAN! There seems to be additional sound insulation between the bathroom and bedroom so sounds are at a minimum. Also a plus. The breakfast was standard Best Western fare, but the Gina the hostess was super friendly and kept the dining room clean. All in all a good visit. Highly recommend.

    5
« Sightseeing to Crater Lake »

Very clean room and great full breakfast included in room rate. Close to Interstate with many area sights close by. Was allowed to check in early, because of early arrival. Bring your own maps for area sights, since hotel doesn't have any to provide.

    4
« Nice property. Ground floor easy to unload and load vehicles. »

Good front desk reception. Booked through Costco and got decent rate for 1 night stay. Room located close to pool but noise quieted down after pool closed. A little tricky getting in and out of parking lot to main street.

    4
    « Clean room. »

My husband and I stayed in room 236 downstairs. It was a clean room with 2 full beds which were comfortable and the sink and vanity were separate from the toilet and shower which I like. That way my husband can take a shower while I continue to get ready in front of the sink and mirror. There were 3 mirrors in the room----one over the sink, one full length mirror on the wall near the bathroom, and one over the desk area. The free breakfast was better than usual. REAL scrambled eggs, sausage patty, different breads/bagels, yogurt, dry cereal and oatmeal (pretty runny) with milk, pancakes, waffles, juices, tea, and coffee. The young lady organizing the breakfast was very helpful. The people at reception were helpful as well. The lobby provided cookies, popcorn, and coffee as snacks. Negatives-----1. Unlike most Best Westerns we've stayed at, this motel did not use fitted sheets. 2. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was loose and missing a screw which I reported to the desk clerk. Hopefully, that will be repaired prior to the next guests. In summary, the one night stay was very satisfactory. My biggest requirement is a CLEAN room.

    4
    « Nice place »

Everything was fine, except the ac in my room was somewhat lacking but it was a cool evening. The breakfast lady was absolutely delightful and helpful for it being 6am, Wish I had gone to grocery sore and bought a steak, they had a really nice BBQ available for guest. They were very nice to the fact I had my dog w me, it was no problem.

  • 4
« Ok for the price »

For one night, it was ok for the price paid. Breakfast was better than expected. The breakfast hostess gets an A based on her positive attitude and desire to make sure you were satisfied. Not having a elevator was a pain but it was only two story. Parking Is in the interior with the rooms on the outside facing inward. Made you feel your car was more secure.

    4
    « Service with a smile »

Anthony and Lyn gave us a warm reception, answered all of our questions and was very attentive to all of our needs. While I was enjoying the hot tub, I noticed they were out of towels by the pool. I went in to the lobby at around 6:00pm to find a line up to the counter. I found out later someone had called in sick and Rose was there working very quickly and professionally to trying to catch up. When I got up to the front of the line I asked if she knew where I could get some towels, she said she would bring some out to me! I felt bad that she had to do that being the only one there and so busy! When I went out to the hot tub I noticed the jets were not working even after turning on the timer, so when poor Rose came out to give me the towels I hated to add more burden on this hard working young lady. She tried the timer and was also not successful at turning the jets on so she disapeared back into the lobby and I was not disapointed because the hot tub was still keeping the tub very warm and comfortable. About 10 minutes later a guy by the name of Chris pulled up in a white truck, hopped out and went around to the back of the hot tub to a room with all the pumps and controls. About 3 minutes later the jets came on and it was all good! I was very impressed by the service of the employees while I was staying at the hotel, from the fresh baked cookies, popcorn and chips and salsa in the evening to the quick repair of the hot tub for my enjoyment. I don't think I have ever experienced such service while visiting any hotel in the past as I did that weekend, I was very fortunate to have such a great crew working that weekend.

    3
« clean and functional room »

The room was small and old. Bed was a bit soft to me. But it was clean, functional and had all we needed for one night stay. It was cozy and quiet place. The complimentary breakfast included sausage, egg, bacon, potatoes and etc... wow! The hotel staff were all nice and friendly.

    3
« Good place for a quick stay »

This place is right next to the exit! We were checking in little late around 9:00pm. Receptionist was little chatty with the couple previous in line (who were trying to see if they can reserve a room on the spot). He was calling other Best westerns(?) to see if they have openings. It took 20-30 mins before my turn came!!!!!!! I had reservations so check in was easy and quick. Had enough parking space to park our van and offload. Room was decent and OK. Place was clean. No complaints. Next day breakfast was supported by this wonderful woman , who made sure everyone is happy and got what they were looking for. Tortilas filled with egg/potato etc, was a nice twist in addition to the continental style breakfast. Stayed there on two different nights , thought of leveraging their $50 discount coupon. Was trying to get hold of their manager on phone, but after 10 calls or so never got hold of him. If you are looking for a quick stay then , this place should fit the bill.

    « No elevator »

Warning: No elevator, so if you have a room on the second floor, you must carry your items up steps to your room. The room that we eventually got was nice. The air conditioner in our original room did not work properly, so the temperature was 85 degrees in the room. The person at the front desk was inexperienced, and we had to ask repeatedly for a different room before we got one.

    « Mid way stop. »

Best Western Garden Villa Inn, Roseburg, Oregon is our half way stop on the way to Seattle. The rooms and service is just right for our needs. We always get off to a great start on our way out. Now we are starting to find new thing to see and do in the Roseburg area, which means longer stays in the area.

« Nice place to stay in Roseburg »

An older property that has been updated very well. Comfortable rooms and convenient to highway access. Well priced for the area, with a typical free breakfast. (Many choices) Friendly staff and very clean.

    « Roseburg review »

I would not stay there if I was traveling with pets, this is not a pet friendly hotel. There was no place to walk the dogs, Also the room carpet was very dirty. and the refrigerator did not work so our food that needed refrigeration spoiled.

« Met all requirements for a 1 night stay during road trip »

We rented two adjoining rooms for one night, while driving between states. Called about 10 min ahead of arriving to check availability and reserve the rooms. Very helpful staff. I needed a baby bed, which wasn't delivered right after arrival as promised, but as soon as it was brought up with the manger he dropped everything and immediately took care of it and didn't charge for the bed. Pool doesn't offer much privacy, as it's in the middle of the parking lot, but there are a few plants and it's only visible to people staying at the hotel. One room definitely had the feeling of a separate bathroom, with the sink behind a wall (and the toilet/shower had a door). But the second room, which was larger than the other, had a jacuzzi tub in a corner that was open to the entire room. Seemed a bit odd if you wanted privacy from a travel partner. No one had time to test out the tub. Close to freeway exit, restaurant options and at least a drug store (didn't look for a grocery store). Good breakfast, better than a standard continental.

    « Clean! »

This was just a quick, one-night stop for us to break up a long drive ~ it was very clean and well equipped, which is pretty much all we needed. Incredible price too! Right off the freeway, quiet and convenient. Would stay here again next time we pass through.

Spent one night at the Garden villa Inn and cannot complain at all. Check In went very fast and friendly. They even offer free freshly baked cookies at reception. Room was OK - convenient, nothing special and as expected.

    « The BEST Western »

I actually chose a hotel at random, but my experience was great from the moment I walked into the lobby. The room was the cleanest I have experienced. It was comfortable and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay great.

« Cleanliness Is Not Everthing »

In the lobby of this motel there is a sign that announces its pride in being. And the place really is - dining area, parking lot, and the rooms themselves sparkle. They have done about as nice a job as could be done with a motel that is dated in many ways. The employees are friendly, and I have to give the owner some props for equipping our room with a larger version of mini-fridge. It even seemed quieter than most of the fridges I encounter at hotels, many of which I unplug at night so I am able to sleep. But was it Really quiet? Or was my room just so noisy I could not hear it? This hotel is right next to the freeway, with an off-ramp nudging against the property line. Yes, noisy, but the good/bad news is that our AC unit even at the low fan setting was so loud, traffic was the least of our concerns. Bed was comfy and large King, with 4 of the tiniest pillows ever - the sort of pillows I wrestle with most of the night. Breakfast was plentiful, with a lot of choices and 2 waffle irons, but not particularly appealing beyond the usual fare at most hotels. I might be tempted to rate this place higher, but when we arrived in late afternoon on a 98 degree day after an 8 hour drive, my wife threw on her swimsuit and headed down to the pool only to discover it was closed due to a recent cleaning. Basically I feel as though we paid $124 for an $84 stay, which is the usual price for a noisy freeway motel that (for all practical purposes) did not have a pool.

    « Ok, not great »

Rooms were clean but ours smelled like a dog. Service was ok but the WiFi was out and was not fixed. Probably won't stay at this motel again. Breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast the staff at the breakfast was very nice. Old buildings and rooms fairly well maintained.

    « Hidden little gem »

I was reluctant to walk in and check out this hotel because it is on the edge of a strip mall but I'm glad I did. At 330 in the afternoon on Tuesday there were other guests checking in, the lobby smelled like fresh popcorn and was nice. I was overwhelmed with service from the manager. He was very helpful and just all-around nice. I got a room to suit my needs and it was A-1. The bed, TV/cable and bathroom were all above average. It was very clean and well decorated. Breakfast was a real surprise with real plates and silverware. The breakfast was similar to what all the chains offer now but done with much more class, comfort and quality. Once I was checked in I went back to my vehicle for my luggage and did something stupid....locked my keys inside. The manager walked by a moment later and jumped in to help, calling the local locksmith first and then a tow-truck company for me. I stood there a little shocked at someone being that helpful without even being asked, using his own phone and contacts to get me out of a jamb. 10 minutes later the towing company opened my door all was well. I would have written a good review for this hotel just based on the quality of the room and basic services, I wish I could give extra stars for all the extras they did for me.

    « Great Stay »

Great Staff. Beds are comfy. Rooms are clean. The lady handling the continental breakfast is absolutely awesome! Great breakfast selections. Pool is cold though. 90 degrees outside and it was still too cold to swim. Very comfortable stay.

    « Place to stay »

We have always stayed at this hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are always clean and neat. The breakfast is fantastic - better than the other Best Westerns. The hot tub is usually working and is the right temperature and towels re always stacked on the shelf.

    « Good for a One-Night Stay »

On a recent visit Roseburg we stayed at this small motel. It was clean and served our purposes. The staff was always welcoming and there is a complimentary cookie bar in the lobby in the evening. The breakfast options were a bit limited but the breakfast helpers were bright and cheery even early in the morning.

    5
« Comfortable bed, hotel is quiet and clean »

I enjoyed my stay very much at this Best Western in Roseburg two nights ago. The staff was great, both upon check-in and check-out. They were welcoming and helpful and I felt like their uppermost concern was that my stay there was the very best it could be. While the buildings themselves are not the newest, both they and the grounds are extremely well maintained. The breakfast offerings were a nice variety, and the bacon was especially good. Everything was kept fresh and hot by the staff. I will definitely stay there again the next time I'm passing through Medford.

    5
    « Comfortable »

This hotel was clean and comfortable. Their breakfast spread is okay, nothing special. The pool is small but nice. Location is easy to get too, just off the freeway. Parking lot is a little small but easy to navigate. I would stay here again if need be.

« The bad part of my day happened when I checked into this property »

We had made online reservations at this property the night before from our car and didn't have a printer to print out the info of this place, so I tried to call them from my car when we got into town. I called three times and let it ring 20 times each incident and never did get in touch with the property. Finally, my 15 yr old grandson found the property on his smart phone and directions as well. When we got to the office, I waited in line for about 15 minutes while one clerk tried to take care of all the people trying to check in. Summertime in Oregon is busy with vacationers and at 5 PM should have additional staff on hand to take care of their clients. When another clerk finally showed up, I asked him if the phone number I had called was the right one. He said yes, and I told him how I tried to call it those three times without results. He then told the other clerk that he had put one of the firms phones on a setting that blocked all incoming calls and that was the problem. I finally got checked in and headed directly to the shower after a long 8 hour drive. I got the water tuned in, got into the tub, turned around to gravb the shower curtain and there was none. By this time I was rather upset to say the least. SO i called down to the office, told them that there was no shower curtain in the bathroom and the clerk said he would send someone up with one. Also there was no directory for the TV, restaurents, etc in the room. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I went down to the office only to be told that the maintainence man was out to lunch and would be back within the hour. By this time we were hot, tired and hungry and waiting for the shower curtain to arrive. I finally called back to the office only to be put on hold for another 10 minutes, to tell them we wanted to change rooms close by. We had, of course, already unpacked everything only to have to repack and move. By the time I finally got into the shower, it was 1.5 hours after we arrived. This is just plain unacceptable. I am a platinum member of BW but I, after having stayed at four BW's in the past 4 nights, will re-think our hotel selections in the future. Tow of these properties were "Plus" designates and only one deserved it. The prices we paid were equal to Holiday Inn Express so will probably to that route from now on.

    4
    « Great Location »

This hotel was right off the Hwy. Had Fred Meyer gas station and some shopping all in same lot. The pool was outside and cold. The hot tub was empty, broken? The rooms were nice & clean. In all it was a pleasant stay for the money and area felt safe.

    4
    « A nice stay »

This property was what would be expected from a Best Western. The pool was above average - clean, nice temperature. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of commission. When we made the reservation we were told there was in fact a hot tub. It was sad to see it half full and dirty after 6 hours of driving. Aside from that, the rooms were clean, the breakfast attendant was super friendly, and the hotel was overall quiet. Nice location near restaurants and a Michaels store, Pier One and Dollar Tree if you want to go shopping or forgot any essentials.

« Stopover before Crater Lake »

Large rooms, clean, well maintained---very good continental breakfast. Easy access to interstate and city roads. Eateries and grocery very close. Perfect for our one night stay. Large parking area. One drawback---no elevators.

    1
    « Big Mistake »

Hotel staff royally messed up on checking in myself and business associates. Now I'm faced with trying to reconcile 3 bogus room charges, the manager has not returned my phone calls and the front desk staff doesn't even know how to email a receipt. The room I stayed in was right outside the hangout spot for employees and was noisy until 10:30. Will not stay here again.

    2
« Not what you'd expect of Best Western »

This is very unattractive from outside, sitting in middle of shopping center and gas station parking lot. At first Wi-Fi was slow, then didn't work at all for the entire night. The only ice machine is located outside behind office and was blocked by tools and equipment in the walkway. The ice machine appeared dirty.

    « A fine hotel »

Just off the highway on the N end of Roseburg. Basic rooms with breakfast included, wifi, tiny pool, two-levels. No surprises. Breakfast included the basics: bread, cereal, waffle, bananas. Coffee of course. It's adjacent to a strip mall with gas stations. It's worth stopping into town and checking out one of the restaurants.

    1
    « Don't stay here »

Whether you're staying in the lovely town of Roseburg or passing through - don't stay here! You will be ripped off for the level of service and comfort you can find at many other motels/inns in the area.

    3
    « Okay Stay »

Nothing great, nothing bad, just okay. Rooms were clean and updated. I liked that it was quiet and a little off the freeway. Nice location for food and shopping. Dutch Bros is right next store. Free breakfast is a bonus. Hotel staff needs a training or more time on the job, but they were nice. Overall, our experience was fine.

« best western garden villa »

Very convenient hotel just off the freeway in Roseburg . Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean comfortable room. Continental breakfast was fine with good waffles, good scrambled eggs and other choices. They take pets, but replaced grass with river rock, so dogs needed to go just outside the hotel to find grass to pee/poop. Elmers restaurant just across the freeway was very convenient for dinner. Gas stations right next the the hotel is also very handy.

« Motorcycle Trip to the Oregon Coast »

We arrived early had a booking and were checked into our ground floor room. Room was clean and spacious. There is an outdoor pool and seating both pool side and just outside the pool area. Staff were busy cleaning, and freshening the look of the place. Lobby is well laid out and the eating area served a full hot breakfast buffet. It was located just of the highway but traffic wasn't a noise issue for us. We were able to find restaurants close by but ended up taking advantage of a Mexican food truck located a walk across the lot near the Shell service station. Food was excellent as evidenced by the lineup of people waiting for their orders.

    « Wow ! »

This has got to be one of the BEST Best Westerns ever. What a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious, recently remodeled, clean carpet, great location for the air conditioner (we had a King non-smoking room). Loved that the bathroom had a small openable window for fresh air. Pool was large enough to swim and feel that you were not on top of the other guests. Patio tables were plenty, with covered umbrellas near the pool and outside the office for outdoor dining in the morning. A great 4 burner stainless steel BBQ was just outside the pool area for guest use. Wonderful breakfast, good choices for every taste, amazing friendly staff always at the ready.

« The Low Point in Our Oregon Road Trip »

The options in Roseburg are limited and we wanted a place close to Crater Lake NP, where we were headed the next morning. The reviews of this Best Western appeared positive. At the risk of appearing snobbish ? this motel ? and I mean motel ? was the low point of our nearly two weeks in Oregon. And it was certainly not cheap. The front desk staff were a newly hired, well-intentioned young man, and an equally well-intentioned senior statesman, neither of whom could figure out where our assigned room was located. After I wandered around the parking lot trying to find it on my own, they had to call the hotel manager at home! The morning desk staff wanted to make sure I was who I was, so he did not check out the wrong guest. We stayed in Room 370 ? a second floor ?Balcony King.? The room was atrocious. The balcony was a shared open area in front of our room door, with a cheap wrought iron table and chairs, in the blazing sun, looking out on I-5 and an off-ramp. There were missing balcony floor tiles and cigarette butts in the nearby gutters. The cigarette smoke wafted up from the other guests puffing away at the much nicer umbrella tables just below us at the hotel entrance. The room had a nasty upholstered chair and a very small desk area. The carpet was dirty. The mattress was good but the pillows were hard and lumpy. The blanket looked old and who knows when it was last washed. The HVAC unit roared loudly. It all made for a sleepless night. The free W-Fi had a weak signal and by 8:00 pm was overwhelmed by the guests using the network. I gave up on it. Our windows did not open but other room windows oddly enough did. The bathroom was immaculate ? with a paper tape across the toilet seat to assure you that it had been cleaned. But the bathroom was so small that you had to close the door to get to the sink or toilet. The bathroom sink was very low o the ground but oddly enough, it was granite-topped. Breakfast was appalling ? both in terms of quality/selection and decor. Even though there was no smoking, my clothes afterward reeked of cigarettes and fried food. The small, paper-wrapped drinking glasses in the room brought back memories of my family road trips? in the 1960's?

    « Fantastic »

This is the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed seen. I can't say enough good things about the professionalisum of the staff! They have complimentary snacks in the lobby & breakfast is great! The pool, hot tub & landscaping were very well maintained.

    5
    « Beyond expectation »

Very friendly and helpful staff, the room size is fine yet it has full and complete amenities, perfect location as restaurants and shops are just nearby, the air conditioning is a bit noisy but I suppose it is common in the US, but overall my stay was great and just beyond expectation really :)

    5
    « Great stay! »

The front staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy. The pool and hot tub were great. The food was so-so, but to be expected when there is no restaurant on site. All-in-all, we really liked this place a lot, would recommend it to our friends, and would stay here again!

    4
« Great value, well maintained »

Great spot for overnight stay on road trip. It was 95 when we arrived in Roseburg after an all day drive. Thankfully the check-in staff were friendly and efficient and we were in our air conditioned room within minutes. We booked a queen room which was on the small side, but fine for one night. The price was very reasonable. Everything in the room was in good condition. The furniture was clean, the mattress was comfortable, the paint was not chipped. All signs that management takes care of this property. Even though the inn is right next to the freeway, we did not hear traffic noise at all. Maybe that's because we had the AC on all the time... Breakfast was so generous that we didn't eat any lunch. In summary, a great spot for overnight but I'd book a larger room if I was going to stay longer.

    4
« Comfortable and conveniently located »

The room was clean and comfortable and the clerk was friendly. Breakfast was good. It is conveniently located in Garden Valley Mall, very near the VA Hospital. The bed was a bit less comfortable than I have found in most Best Westerns, so I gave it a four instead of a five, but I would definitely stay here again.

    4
« We really felt like guests »

We arrived past midnight and everything was set to go with our reservation. From the front desk staff to the continental breakfast host/attendant - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We really felt like we were guests in their home.

« Nice Comfortable Stay with good breakfast »

A motel like set up, but good location with near by restaurants and grocery shop. Overall we enjoyed our stay, no complaints, friendly staff. Breakfast counter was good with choices of egg, pancake, waffles, patty.

    « convenient,well appointed »

This motel is easy to reach from I-5, with a small shopping mall adjacent for picking up forgotten items. More restaurants are across the freeway, less than a mile. The linens were new. The lobby offered warm cookies and chips and salsa, and breakfast was above average for a budget motel. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

    5
    « Pleasant and comfortable »

Well located with food service close by. Rooms were clean and quite.. The free breakfast is plentiful and has a good variety of food choices. .The rooms are neat and clean with good amenities. .Access is easy off of the main freeway through town.

    4
    « Clean, great breakfast »

After having a disappointing conversation with the front desk about our reservation, I almost cancelled. I'm glad A didn't. Rooms are old, but clean. It's like a throwback to the 70's--- but with softer colors. The retro is working for them. Rooms are super-clean. Breakfast was great, cheerful staff. Whoever checked in at the front was great and same with checkout. Great if you're just passing through.

    3
    « Basic but well-cared for »

This is an older motel-type property that has been spruced up nicely and is still pretty decent. Stayed one night while returning home from Crater Lake. Room is somewhat small and is the old-style format with door from outside, beds in front, and bathroom in back. The issue with this design is it allows more noise in from the parking lot. I was more aware of car doors opening and closing, people walking past my room, and conversations in the parking lot than in hotels with an interior hallway entrance. The room was simple but comfortable and extremely clean. Fixtures and furniture were older but in decent shape and everything worked. Looked like the room had been recently painted and the carpet appeared to be newer. Soap and shampoo come from wall dispensers, which I don't like. Shower was fine. The towels had seen better days. The bed was average but not great; comfortable enough for a decent night's sleep. Front desk staff were friendly and capable; no problems checking in or out. I did not try the complimentary breakfast so can't comment on that. Though oldish, the whole property was clean and tidy and looked to be recently painted. Access from I-5 is easy and there were dining options nearby.

    4
    « Great hotel »

This is a clean, very well taken care of and managed hotel. Made for a great overnight stop. Breakfast was very good - eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, english muffins, cereal, waffles, yogurt, etc... Pool was clean, staff was friendly and helpful.

    4
    « Very nice »

The only complaint I would have was that there were a lot of people smoking just on the other side of the outdoor pool's fence every time we went swimming. Perhaps it was a designated smoking area or something, but it was no fun to swim out there--especially with small kids--through clouds of smoke. Everything else about this hotel--staff, room, breakfast--was very nice. Location is great, too. Right off the freeway, and very near grocery stores, gas, and coffee.

    4
« Better Than it Looks »

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff with a better than average breakfast. While the hotel looks a little dated on the outside the rooms have been updated and are very nice, if a little on the small side. All in all a good value and would stay again if in the area.

« Very comfortable and clean »

The bed was very comfortable, and the room spotless. The night clerk was very helpful and pleasant and in the morning they provide a full hot breakfast. Excellent value for the money. Garden Villa is located at the edge of a strip mall, and was very busy on a Friday evening, so while the motel is pet friendly, it was a bit difficult to walk the dog. The motel was sold out that evening, so was glad that I had booked ahead of time. I would stay here again and recommend it.

    « Good Hotel »

This BW hotel was a great stop. Clean room, cookies at check in, a nice breakfast. There was an outdoor pool but we did not swim. They were very interested in honest feedback. We would stay there again. Good price, comfy beds and clean room.

    « Golf Trip »

Great place to stay, inexpensive, quiet, clean, close to freeway, very good complete breakfast, will stay here again - no doubt! The one regret that I have is in not asking for a restaurant recommendation, the very close Mexican Restaurant is over priced low quality but fast service.

    « CONVENIENT »

We do a lot of road trips and tend to stay at Best Westerns whenever possible as they are good value in our opinion. The Garden Villa Inn was no exception. Very convenient off of the I-5 Freeway, very friendly reception, clean room. We did find the room satisfactory, but smaller than the usual BW rooms.

    « Don't Bother »

We booked our hotel online via Trip Advisor (booking.com) and one of the questions was 'what time will you be arriving'. I selected the 3p - 4p time frame. We arrived at 2.55p, checked in and were told our room wasn't ready yet, to come back in 20 - 30 minutes. We were told they had 'housekeeping' issues but they would have our room ready in 30 minutes. We arrived 45 minutes later. Not a thing had been done. There was not a soul cleaning rooms. Doors stood open, over flowing laundry trollies sat in the parking lot, dirty dish trays sat outside rooms. The laundry room door stood open and all the dryers were full of linens, but nothing was running! Nobody was there. Several other guests were waiting. One couple, two singles, a retired couple and a couple with 2 children in tow. At 4.00p, I called the front desk - we were sitting in the shade on this 85 degree day. The desk manager said he'd check to see why our room wasn't ready yet. At 4.07p he came over and gave us keys to a new room, apologizing for the inconvenience. At 4.09p, back to the office I went because the new keys didn't work. At 4.17p, we were finally in our room! I don't know whose fault it is; the management, the owners, Donald Trump, but the lack of staff, cavalier attitude, and troubles was not the way to end 8 long hot hours on the road. This is a motel, not a hotel. It is dated, small and your dollar will get you more elsewhere.

« Friendly and helpful staff »

Staff was very friendly and helpful. First room I was given was tiny and in need of sprucing, furniture was beat up, rug was spotty. Owner moved me to nicer room and said he was going to rejuvenate rooms, which appeared overdue. My key didn't work second day and one of the maids let me in and brought a replacement key. Breakfast very nice and great selection, and again staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again because of the staff.

    « What a Disappointment »

We had been here before and although the hotel was without great amenities, it was a good experience. Sadly, in August 2015, it was not. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned or attended to when we came back in the early evening. Glass wrapped in paper was dirty and had some kind of black residue on the sides and in the bottom. When we spoke to the manager, she was very defensive/offensive; said she didn't know what was in the glass. Did not have much concern that our room was not clean. Will not stay again; better values in town for the money.

« Exellent choice for access to the VAMC and numerous fast food outlets. »

The folks at this motel have always done their best to ensure my old, disabled body got the best nites rest possible. The motel is also well located to various restaurants, the VA hospital and other business. It is also close to the belt line making it easy to get around Roseburg.

« Noisy breakfast room, odd odor »

Although the room was clean, there was a strong odor - probably from the cleaning chemicals. There was an odd array of furniture/refrigerator, etc, which made the room feel cluttered. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room staff person was pretty noisy.

Have stayed here before about year ago. Rooms very clean. Beds good/firm. Coffee in room/ full breakfast provided in common room. No elevator. Near freeway. No traffic noise heard. Able to hear movements/showering in neighboring rooms. Outdoor entry to rooms. Pool available--did not use. Plenty of outlets for re-charging devices. Micro/fridge. No in room safe. Good value esp. if book early! If looking for Japanese food try-Ami Sushi on SE Cass. not far from Costco for gas or Safeway on 99.

    « Great for value »

Stayed the night with a friend while traveling through the state. I liked the location, right off the freeway but couldn't hear the cars. They had a clean pool and a hot tube, offered chips salsa and cookies at 5. The beds were comfortable and the staff was excellent and super accommodating to an issue we had. They had breakfast in the morning, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, bagels and a variety of juices so good selection. The only downfall was the room next to us was packed with a family with at least 2 kids and a baby that were loud and crying that kept waking us up, but not the hotels fault. Good value for your money for a nights stay!

Dated but very clean. Rooms are small. No queens, only kings and doubles. No elevator only outside steps to second floor. First floor rooms are booked first. Plan ahead. Fills up most nights. Good breakfast included. Welcoming snacks. Parking free on site. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Business trip. Chose this location at last minute good choice. Clean nice room. Bed was good. Slept well. Did not eat the breakfsst but it appeared yo be nice. Just off interstate. Was quite and I felt very safe since I was traveling alone. Would stay here again.

« Older, but updated and well kept »

We just stayed there overnight, and the staff was very helpful. The motel was built many years ago with smallish rooms, but it has been updated and is well kept. The breakfast was what you would expect in a Best Western.

« Towel racks falling off the walls at our very first stay at a Best Western in 2016. »

I have no tolerance for shabbiness or filth in a motel or hotel room. I used to clean rooms as a young woman. My materna- grandmother also was a "cleaning lady" as she called herself. She taught me. So, I was almost as good as Granny. Almost. That German born grandmother, with only a grade three education, was a stickler for CLEAN! (So was my persnickety old Scottish paternal-grandmother. Those two old gals had no patience either for "slackers". Nor do I!) In my work as a campus counselor at several colleges in Canada, I've stayed in small, inexpensive Mom & Pop motels all over western Canada and up north. I have never had as much disappointment as we've had over the past decade, in run-down rooms within over-priced, so called- "nicer" motels and hotels, as this motel in Roseburg. Towel bars falling off the bathroom walls might have given us a clue, but we were so tired after driving all day, that we thought we could deal with it. Then, I discovered the toilette had not been properly cleaned. Hair from others lay on the floor around the edge of the tub and beneath the sink. Skagit Sam to the rescue. I carry a full canister of Lysol Wipes when we travel, for emergencies such as this! I went to work. In less than 30 minutes, I had the place sanitized. The sheets on the bed where heavily wrinkled but seemed to have been washed in recent history. At least, no bed bugs. Fine. We stayed over night, only too glad to hit the road ASAP the next morning. Never, ever to return.

    « Decent »

We stayed here for our Umpqua Wine Tour last weekend. We were looking somewhere that was reasonable and close to our meeting spot. The rooms are decent, clean and close to shopping for essentials, free breakfast and a dutch bros coffee but would not be first choice to stay again. The "hot tub" was about 60 degrees, not so "hot" and the rooms were very small and in need of updating. You could hear everything in the parking lot and people going in and out of their rooms and if you are a light sleeper like me you will not get much sleep. Overall, not horrible, just decent.

« Decent value, great service »

The highlight of our visit was the phenomenal service and friendly help from the entire staff. Anthony in particular was extremely attentive and helpful, and the staff who served breakfast in the morning were nothing short of charming. If we find ourselves passing through Roseburg again we'd definitely stop in at the Best Western.

« Clean rooms, nice sraff »

Always nice check in and check out, rooms clean, decent beds, affordable prices, easy on off freeway. Nice being in a shopping center, can walk to dinner or shop. Quiet, good parking, very pleasant employees

    « OK but ..... »

First, the good news. This property is located right off the I5. Easy access and back on the freeway. There are several places to eat within walking distance. It is right across the street from the VA medical facility. The lady in the breakfast area was very attentive and the food was good. The room was clean and the bed was fine. There is adjacent parking for car and trailer or motorhome. The bad new. It is right next to the off ramp and the I5 and there is a lot of road noise. The facility is older and was not built to modern noise abatement standards. If you want a quiet place this is not it.

« clean, friendly employees and a great hot breakfast! »

Great! I was impressed with the clean room, and wash cloth shaped like a fan and one shaped as a swan! The hot breakfast had a huge selection! Waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, toast, muffins, among a few of the choices. All the employees were friendly and helpful.

« Great place to stay to access activities in the Roseburg area. »

Enjoyed the room and breakfast; front desk staff were extra helpful with items I needed to provide supports to the person I was traveling with who requires additional supports with activities of daily living.

    « Enjoyed staying »

BW Garden Villa, Roseburg OR was a very nice jumping off point for activities in the area with a focus visiting Wild Life Safari the room was comfortable, breakfast was good, front desk staff were extra helpful when I needed items to provide supports for the person I was assisting to travel. I travel with adults that require additional supports for activities of daily living (ADL's) and the assistance from hotel staff is very welcome. No elevator to the upper floor would be the ONLY draw back. Thank you.

« Didn't they expect it to rain in Oregon? »

The place was very clean. There were some minor maintenance issues that the room cleaner should have noticed and reported to management and should have been fixed so I would never have noticed. I expect that this place is headed down hill unless they invest more in up keep. But for now it is fine/good value. I was surprised to learn, as rain ran down my neck, that the stairways to the second level are uncovered. Odd design choice.

    « Great stay »

Don't let outside fool you. I was a tad disappointed upon pulling in but trusted the reviews here and was not disappointed. I was warmly greeted by office staff member. The room was very clean, large, and had all amenities one could hop for. Breakfast next day was excellent and there was staff on duty to refill coffee, answer questions and assist. It was convenient to highway. I'd stay again.

    « Pleasant stay »

Professional staff greets you when you check in and out. Rooms are fresh and clean. Easy to get to with gas next door and Fred Meyer a block down the road. Our room was very quiet with a comfortable bed. The hot soup available on check in was so appreciated after a long day of driving. If in the area do not check anything else, just book it! FYI if you book online it's less expensive than if you just walk in. We saved $50 by doing this and minutes later checked in.

« Late night check in »

There was a problem with the room that we originally booked. They put us in room 324 and there was someone already in this room when then they gave us another room with someone in it. The third time the key did not work this all took place at 12:00 midnight we were very tired we had traveled 11 hours just to get to Roseburg from Southern California. The clerk said he was sorry but did not offer any discount for the inconvenience or even a free stay. The whole process took over an hour by the time we got to a room that was not occupied it was 2:00 am. Rooms were not the best they needed to be cleaner and they smelled like smoke and they were non-smoking rooms. One thing I have to say the hostess that served the breakfast the next morning should manage the hotel she was great!

« On Point in Roseburg »

From the welcoming staff to the wonderful breakfast this Best Western does it right. This was the second stay for my wife and me and would definitely stay again. Close access to the freeway and close to restaurants and other shopping needs. Great stay!

    « Great Stay.. »

I was very road weary and stopped in Roseburg. This Best Western was by far my favorite.Alex at the front desk was very professional and I believe an excellent employee. In the evening there are snacks and tea.Over all the room was very clean and I had a much needed rest from the road.

« Roseburg, OR Best Western »

Great room, easy access on/off the freeway, friendly and helpful staff and an easy walk to shopping and food. Front desk introduced us to a great little east indian restaurant that was an easy walk away. Several gas stations within a half mile and several bank choices if needed.

    « Great Stay! »

What a great motel. I see why it fills up every night. From when we got there until we left, we were treated wonderfully. The rooms, maybe a bit dated, we're the cleanest motel rooms I've ever seen. Here's the kicker. Just before checking out the next day, we went to have the breakfast that was provided. I don't think that I could have had a better breakfast at Denny's. It was fantastic!

« Another stay @ Garden Valley Inn »

This will be the 3rd time we have stayed at this establishment & plan on staying again. The property is very well maintained and the staff are so helpful and pleasant. They are planning further upgrades to all rooms this year. New carpets, beds & TV's, although the furnishings were very good as they are. We have never stayed longer than one night so we are not sure what the city of Roseberg has to offer. Shopping may be spread out so driving will be necessary. The Ocean is not far away for anyone wanting to use this as their base.

    4
« Nice Place to stop »

Spent the night here at the beginning of a recent road trip. Room was clean, staff was friendly and there was a decent breakfast in the morning. We used a hide a bed which was small and uncomfortable but the beds them self were decent. Would stay here again if we were in the area.

    5
    « Very, very accommodating! »

My husband and I were traveling to Reno, NV from Portland, and we stopped along the way after finding this room on priceline. We got our room and it was a 2 full bed room, we went back to the lobby and asked if we could get a room with one bed, and they very graciously made the change, even though the rooms were almost booked, they gave us a king room just to make us happy. The room was cozy, and extremely clean.

    5
    « Great Hotel - Great Price »

We stopped here for one night on our way up the Oregon coast. Great find - the rooms are small but very clean. I think a woman must have designed the rooms because even though they are small they are very efficient and well thought out. Breakfast was above average and the staff both in the eating area and at the front desk were wonderful. Would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend to my friends. As an extra bonus it was easy freeway access.

    « Excellent Customer Service »

The staff is friendly with excellent customer service skills, no matter what time of the day of night. They are very accommodating willing to go the extra mile. The location is great with close access to food and shopping.

    « A Place to Start »

We had a weekend jaunt planned and wanted to get an early start, so spent the night here to save for a longer drive at the start. The breakfast was fine, hot and cold options, and decent variety. The room was smallish, and nothing fancy, but the bed was relatively comfortable, and I always take my own pillow.

    4
    « Always consistent. »

I have stayed at this location for over 20 years. Great location always being upgraded. The breakfast is hot and well balanced. The traveler can expect good, clean food with a variety of choices. The people will go out of their way to make you comfortable. If you don't see what you want, just ask.

    2
« Awful Bed, tho' clean and nicely maintained. »

The staff were very welcoming and professional. The room was clean and well stocked. They had a better than averaged breakfast. However, a good night's sleep is a must! The bed had zero support, the kind of mattress you struggle to get out of because it sags. Very good water pressure.

    4
« Great rooms, better service »

This is one of my go to spots while working in the area. The parking lot allows me to bring a trailer with the truck (Not a Semi) and the area for parking is enclosed & secure. they have a nice smokers shelter to use, and a BBQ for guest use.

    3
« Small, but has what you need. »

The room I had was a little small, see pictures, but as it was just me on business and not the family on vacation so it was perfectly fine for what I needed, sleep. It was a little outdated but the room was clean which I find most important. The Wi-Fi was great with full strength in my room, the free breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Will probably try another hotel next time I have to stay in town.

    5
« Easy access to the facility »

The room was extremely clean. Shopping right behind the motel and restaurants close and easy to find. Easy access from I-5. The veterans hospital is across the street from the motel. Hot soup is available with fresh cookies after 5 p.m. Coffee is provided all the time. Front desk is really helpful.

    4
« Spacious rooms, great breakfast »

We were on the road to N. California and didn't know how far we would get the first day, so we picked this place based on their billboards. (Very reliable, right?) They advertised "cleanest" rooms and full breakfast. They were easy to find, right off I-5. The check in clerk was friendly and efficient and was able to give us two connecting rooms for a couple and adult son, which was nice. The price was a little higher than we had expected, but not too bad. The rooms really were very clean and were spacious. There was a small refrigerator in each as well as a microwave and small coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast the next morning really was a cut above. In addition to the usual cereal, donuts, fruit, yogurt, etc. there were waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, biscuits & gravy. Plus, there was a wonderful lady who brought us coffee and made sure we had everything we needed! Very attentive, very friendly. Check out staff, again, was friendly and efficient. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

    4
« Just what we needed! »

The room was clean & quiet, the staff were very friendly & helpful, and breakfast was delicious!! Comfortable beds, lovely warm shower, great price - we highly recommend this motel! If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here again.

    « Better than expected »

This BW location had a good breakfast, easy location and friendly staff. Broke up our long trip down I-5. Would stay there again. Free popcorn, soup and cookies on check in were a nice touch! Note: I got a better rate booking through this TripAdvisor site than what was showing at bw.com

« No Room at the Inn »

We booked a room online through Trip Advisor and when we went to check in the hotel did not have our room type available. They had received our online booking but for whatever reason did not hold a room for us.

    « Great value »

Wifi didn't work and it was noisy in the morning, but it was perfectly fine with a free breakfast and easy access back to the highway. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Several restaurants are available within walking distance.

« Surprised by the Service »

I arrived tired and ready for a rest, so I didn't catch his name but he got me into the perfect room for my wife and i. The next day, Shawn at the counter got my stay extended quickly. But, the real delight was Genia, who hosted the breakfast just before our departure. her cheer and ready service made me feel as if she sees everyone as special. I would stay here again just for that cheer.

    « Clean and quiet »

Enjoyed the evening at this motel--and the homemade beef stew offered in the lobby even when I arrived late. Friendly and helpful staff. A bit pricey due to conventions in town, but was glad to find accommodations after a long drive.

« Great location, great service and great breakfast »

Stayed here due to a family funeral. We loved the location, loved the breakfast with all the choices. Beds were comfy too. The only issue we had was the hot tub. The first night it smelled like chlorine so bad, and we could not get the hot tub to turn on. The second night it smelled better but still couldn't get the hot tub to turn on. Also we enjoyed the soup and popcorn. We also liked the microwave and mini fridge.

    « 3 girls on a rood trip »

Tried their very best to get me my $25 gift cert. but it was expired. I feel that the time allotted for the use of gift certificates is to short - They did manage to get me a good rate using my BCAA card. The Tuscan Minestrone Soup in the waiting room was an added bonus. Enjoyed it on the patio after settling in for the night. Breakfast was also good. The Internet system, which they said had just been upgraded, did not work very fast. But it did work. Easy access to the Hwy., clean & quiet.

    4
« Overall the best choice in Roseburg »

Perhaps the most professional and attentive staff experienced at a BW property. Easy central location near freeway making access to anywhere in Roseburg very simple. Adding the personal touches of evening soup, cookies, and fresh popcorn are small things that make a big difference at this level of lodging. Having stayed at other properties in Roseburg, this is an overall good value for the price point.

    5
    « Clean and quiet »

I only stopped here for the night on my way up north, but it was perfect. Clean. Quiet. Comfy. And it allowed me to have my cat, who is moving with me. $15 fee wasn't too bad. Breakfast was adequate. All the staff were friendly.

    « Surprised »

We were on our last leg of a 5 day trip and had not made reservations anywhere. We tried another hotel but they were booked so we found the Best Western. We were very pleasantly surprised at how courteous, helpful and friendly the check in staff was. The room was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The next morning upon check out, we had their free continental breakfast so we didn't have to spend any money for breakfast before we left town. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

« I wanted to surpise my gilfriend with a special night and thanks to Dillan and Aman it was a spectacular night! »

I asked Dillan and Aman to set up our room with flowers, candies and stuffed animals as well as run the Spa bath for us before we got there. When we arrived, everything was just as I had asked as well as the bottle of champagne and two stem glasses on ice was waiting for us. The room was spotless and roomy and when I had an issue with the tv, Chris the maintenance man came right over to take care of it allowing us to get back to our special night. The service here is fantastic and I will be recommending it to all of my friends

« excellent buy for the money »

Very clean rooms. The rooms were some of the cleanest we have experienced and we stay in motels often. They offered hot soup after 5 p.m. and cookies at no extra charge. They had coffee available all the time and it was good. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of breakfast items was nice, coffee and waffles and hot scrambled eggs and potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy. A nice selection of cold cereals. fresh fruit. They also had a place for guests to cook on a barbecue if you wanted to cook outside. The pool was closed because of time of year but it was a nice size pool.

    « Very thankful! »

We were tired from driving for over 5 hours. Middle of the night, the night clerk let us know there was only 1 room. It was great! A king size suite. 2 Bathrooms, 2 tv's, a frontroom and bedroom. They allowed us to do a later then normal check out because of the late hour of us getting to hotel. The breakfast was same as all Best western, the coffee was in the lobby before you walk into the breakfast room. It was very well placed and kept up. Like a coffee bar, with teas and hot cocoa also. The breakfast was good and the nice hard working employee kept up on a full house. She was very sweet. Our night clerk was charming and willing to make sure we could find a safe and good parking spot. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. I could hear the room next door, a lot. The room needs to be updated, many of the furniture is showing age and needs to just be fixed. Just use a stain pen on the coffee and end tables in the front room.

    5
    « Best stay ever! »

I worked at a Marriott and this best western had better service and amenities than most Marriotts I have stayed in. Genia -the breakfast attendant - was so sweet. She was working in Easter and in a very happy mood. Every staff member we ran into seemed genuine and happy to assist anyone. If we end up in Roseburg again we will definitely stay here.

« Roach crawled across my face »

A roach crawled across my face in the middle of the night while sleeping. I grabbed the little critter, then smashed it and took it to the front desk in a tissue. Desk clerk said, "oh, that's just a little potato bug." Like, what's the big deal... No refund, no room comp, no interest in helping improve the situation or stay experience. I was very disappointed and will be writing reviews on all the travel sites regarding this hotel. In addition, the hotel was cheap looking, cheap feeling and way over-priced for the location and total amenities package.

    5
    « Superb! »

We had such a great night at the Garden Villa Best Western. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The beds and linens were very comfortable and soft. They had lots of delicious free things to offer - fresh baked cookies, flavored popcorn, a large tea/coffee selection and a yummy evening soup. Their free breakfast buffet was divine too! The fresh waffles, great eggs and selection of fruit were our favorites, but they offered so much more. I especially loved the breakfast buffet attendant - she was so sweet and made us feel like we were eating breakfast a close friend's place with her attentiveness and cheery nature. I highly recommend this place!

    4
« friendly staff, clean rooms. »

The moment we walked into the lobby we felt welcome and our room was clean and well equipped. We will stay there again. The breakfast was the best we have had and we have stayed in many hotels. I would recommend this as a place to stay.

Excellent overnight location. Located just off the freeway exit. The room was clean, quiet, and everything in the room was in good working condition. Breakfast was ready at 6 AM it was hot and very good.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Booked the BW on our way back to Canada since it is pet friendly, Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good compared to otther "free breakfasts": Certainly will be on our list for a return visit.

    « QUIET AND COMFORTABLE »

This older facility has been nicely remodeled, but you know it is older. That said, it is comfortable and quiet. The room was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was nicely presented, and the breakfast lady was very pleasant and helpful. All in all, a good place to stay on a business trip.

    3
« A Mix of Good and Bad »

First, the 'good': the 2nd floor room was quiet, clean and comfortable which is about all you can ask for; wi-fi was good; flat screen TV had a good choice of channels; we liked their use of real coffee mugs; bright, spacious breakfast area with a good selection of food and real cutlery and dishes; very cheerful 'breakfast lady. Second, the 'bad': the king bed was reasonably comfortable but was soft and the frame was 'wobbly'-when one of us turned over, the other one could feel it; the heater/AC unit was quite loud; the water temperature for the morning shower was warm but nowhere near hot. More of a 31/2 star.

    3
« Great service, poor value »

Was expecting a hotel, but it turned out to be a motel. I booked a room at this property for its location and because others on my daughter's gymnastics team were staying there. Staff, furnishings, and cleanliness are great. The breakfast/coffee/cookies were a nice touch. Rooms are smaller and the property is old. The sinks are outside the bathrooms, which is not something I care for. Rooms are poorly insulted so heating/cooling must be on continuously in summer or winter, also one can easily hear vehicles in the parking lot and people walking up the stairs as a result. They charged me $10 for a crib, which at all places I have been previously are complementary. It feels like they are trying to pass this off as a higher end property than it is and the price is one of the highest for economy lodging in the area. I would say it is fine for a solo traveler not too concerned with value, but for a family the rooms are a little small and it is not particularly budget friendly.

    5
« Dog Friendly and Accomodating »

The general manager of this motel went out of his way to graciously accommodate our dogs and a couple of other issues. He didn't have to, the motel was very full and he didn't need our business. The rooms were sparkly clean, the breakfast was varied and plentiful. This isn't a vacation setting for sure but it is definitely highly recommended if you are passing through Roseburg and need a place to lay your head.

    4
« Clean, Friendly, Affordable, with easy access »

This property is not the newest, But let me say, it was extremely clean, and freshly painted . All room amenities were current and functional. Bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked fine. Staff is what makes this hotel exceptional. Complimentary soup and cookies are a nice extra touch. Easy access off and on to !-5 for travellers. Shopping and restaurants are nearby and within walking distance. Hot breakfast was more than adequate and good quality. Outdoor pool and hot tub are available in season. Outdoor BBQ and gazebo are handy for families. We will stay there again when in the area.

    « Great Customer Service »

I traveled for business and internet access was essential. When the first room did not provide the access I needed, the desk agent went through his steps and when that did not correct the problem he contacted the property manager. When the manager could not fix it, he moved me to another room with much better access and helped me move my belongings. And for the inconvenience of needing to move, he also upgraded my accommodations. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was the best. In addition, the hotel is close to shopping and the rooms have a microwave and fridge. Free hot breakfast in morning with protein not just waffles, and popcorn and soup in the evening. Rooms, both of them, were very clean. And though it was located in a busy shopping area, the noise level was very low. I will stay here again when visiting the area. Great job!

    4
    « Good Choice »

The personnel of the hotel is one of the most values of this hotel. The location in Rosburgh is fine, close to the shopping center, easy access by the highway. The value, overall, is average, little expense for the type of the hotel, you can find another options near by.

    3
« Short stay, decent room »

We recently stayed at this BW for one night during a long relocation trip. The motel location was easy to find and there was plenty of parking for our moving truck. The room itself was clean and fairly spacious, but unfortunately the stairs closest to the room they gave us were closed off for renovation leading to a very long walk back and forth to our cars. We traveled with my pet rabbit, so the it was a bit of a task to get her cage and our luggage in less than three trips. The other issue we had was the heaters are located in the back of the rooms next to the bathroom and were not efficient at heating our room especially during a cold winter night. Pros: Pet friendly, good location, clean room, complimentary snacks, complimentary breakfast Cons: Poor heater location in the room, main stairs closed

    « Road trip »

We had a stop over in Roseburg and found this hotel through priceline. Very impressed with the cleanliness (remote control was cleaned and in a sanitary bag). Staff was so helpful and kind. Excellant breakfast room with a nice variety.

    « What a difference a renovation makes! »

I had stayed at this motel almost ten years ago, and left it behind. Roseburg has been my ritual half way haven on my annual coastal trip. Both of my other options had failed me in recent years, so there I was, back again...and pleasantly surprised. Not only has the place been given a face lift through decoration and renovation, but the hot soup, cookies, and hospitality is disarming. The only downside is this is a pit stop for many an aggressive traveler, and the cars are parked directly outside the rooms. Revving engines are your alArm clock, so getting sleep in the morning is almost out of the question. Still, it is an excellent option and I would return.

    4
    « Nice Staff & Awesome Breakfast. »

We had a first floor room - comfortable, clean, reasonable price. Right off the freeway; easy to get in and out of. The breakfast was excellent - best motel breakfast in a long time. I am sure we will stay here again.

« Decent overnight stop. Somewhat surprised it was a Plus BW »

Stopped on the way from Seattle to SF. We always try to stay at a BW Plus. Room was a bit "tired" especially the carpet. Staff was very friendly and the popcorn, cookies and afternoon soup was definitely plus. Mistake I made was not to ask for a room with the bath room sink in with the shower/bath/toilet. I get up a hour or so before my wife, and the exterior bathroom sink is a bother. As for the breakfast, they had everything, but I really don't care for the "packaged" scrambled eggs, which I didn't bother finishing. Also tried the belgium waffle, but a can of PAM could have helped prepare the griddle as everyone's waffle separated when the two sides were opened. You could tell from the tossed waffles in the waste can next to the counter, that a number of people had the same problem. This was an older hotel, that has been redone, but I think that given the traffic, new carpets would be a plus. Free Wifi.

« Very nice staff and clean facilities. »

This will be the place we stay when visiting family. Older but nice and clean. Close to many things in town. Fred Meyer, VA hospital, places to eat. Near freeway but no freeway noise. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

« This will be my go-to place to stay when I am visiting relatives in the area. »

This is an older property, and the new General Manager, Aman Sandhu is doing a wonderful job updating it. He and his staff give 150% every day to provide excellent service. Most notably Anthony and Will at the front desk, and Gina at the breakfast bar. Aman tells me they will be replacing the carpeting, repainting, and doing additional remodeling this March. Can't wait to check it out next time I am in the area!

    « Awesome breakfast!! »

Very clean comfortable room, reasonably priced. The breakfast was great, and we were well looked after by the friendly lady. Apparently all new front desk staff but all very accommodating. One nice touch as soup and popcorn and coffee/tea in the lobby when we got there in the evening.

« Wonderful one night stand »

I travel between Seattle and LA and always make this my night stop in both directions. The place is so well maintained, Best Western puts resources into training an supporting staff and management and the environment. The kitchen is one of the best I have expereince anywhere for "free breakfast", be sure to leave a generous tip for Gina who has consistently been serving for the many years I have been staying here. That will help keep her there for may years to come. The other nice thing about staying at this location is the Fred Meyer gas station right out side and to get pumped up for the next leg of your journey there is Dutch Bros. Coffee drive through next to the gas pumps. It has everything a traveler needs.

    « Would stay here again ! »

Last min. stop . So surprised at how well we were treated ! Walked in happy people wanting to please us. Cookies , popcorn and a hot cup of soup was a wonderful welcome after a Fri night rush hour drive. Yes it is an older place but clean and I was totally OK with bed and pillows !!

« A place to lay your head down for the night! »

It was an okay stay. It is an older motel with some new improvements but very clean which made up for the oldness. They need to improve the beds bad!! When you walk into your room and you see two indention's in the mattress you know your not going to get a good nights sleep. Also if you booked this room thru a third party as they call it (Priceline, Expedia,Travelocity, and etc...) they won't honor that price even if you show them your confirmation. Also watch your credit card statement they will charge your card twice!. Breakfast was very good and the lady working the day we were there was very nice!!

« OK Place to stay »

My wife and I recently stayed at this facility on our way to the Seattle area. Overall, the room was nice, but it had a very loud and constantly running heating/AC unit in the room. This trip was at the end of December 2015, so using the heater was a necessity. It was unusually loud and the air vent was directed right at my side of the bed. Other than that problem, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast fare was your typical continental type with waffles as an additional choice.

« Surprised at nice reviews »

Our experience at this sub-par motel was dismal. Room heater cycled LOUDLY on and off all night, which allowed for no sleep. The bed was sunken on each side. The mattress pad, much smaller than the mattress, was laid over the mattress, not fitted. The bottom sheet was also not fitted. Result? I woke up sleeping directly on the nasty pad because the sheet would not stay tucked. We went to the front desk and asked for another blanket so we wouldn't have to listen to that relentless cycling heater. The front desk guy said, "Sorry, the cleaning staff is gone and I do not know where the blankets are stored." This was at 7 pm. The whole experience was horrible, and we got up at 6 am and left.

    « Clean, comfortable motel »

Excellent service at reception, most comfortable bed, and good breakfast selection. Particularly liked the "grab and go" items! Very popular motel as we got the last room. Had an issue with the heat controls.

    « I'd stop here again! »

The staff were very pleasant and obviously eager to make us feel welcome. They were proud of their motel and it showed. They also told us they will be doing renovations - I forgot when. But I don't really see the need. The room is clean and comfortable. TV is even good. I appreciate rooms with easy chairs/ottoman, and this had one. We checked in around 3:00, and the maid was working in rooms near us. She made sure to let us know who she was and ask if we needed anything. They let us know when they'd have cookies in the lobby, even soup once/day. Breakfast provided. I haven't had it yet, but sounds like it'll be all right. The price was reasonable, and they gave us a military discount. I couldn't ask for more. If I come this way, I'll stop here again. Free Wi-Fi too. Pet Friendly, I believe there is a $15 charge.

« Excellent Service and Top Notch Employees »

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the last year. The customer services is wonderful. They always go above and beyond, no matter what time of the day or night. I would Highly recommend this Best Western location. All of the employees are friendly and willing to assist you at a moments notice. The room is clean, the food is good and the most important thing is that everyone knows what customer service is all about.

« Very good accommodations and a delicious Breakfast selection »

We always select A Best Western Hotel/Inn and have never been disappointed. They are always off well traveled highways with easy exits on and off. Have never had a problem with the check-in or out. Very friendly and courteous employees at Lobby and also the Breakfast Dining Room.

« Comfortable Motel in Roseburg »

My family stayed here in 4 different rooms over Christmas this year. Two of my siblings got the large rooms with in-room jacuzzi tubs and seemed to really enjoy them! My parents and my husband and I had standard King rooms. The rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. It does seem that this was an older property that had been redone, but they did a very nice job. I have no complaints whatsoever. We ate the complimentary breakfast a couple of times and were pleased with it. Who doesn't enjoy a nice hot waffle on a cold winter day? I'd definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in Roseburg (that is, of course, if there's no room at my aunt's house!).

« Good place close to VA Health Center »

This Best Western has an odd access and seems to be part of a shopping center, but is conveniently just off the freeway, two blocks from the VA Health Center, and close to a number of restaurants, (good Mexican food at Si Casa Flores). We had crummy weather and a not-fun medical appointment, but the motel was nicer than I expected. Breakfast was good, the room was clean and comfortable, and the people were outstanding. Although the place is "pet-friendly" ($15/dog fee) there is a limited pet area. There were plenty of places to walk the dogs not far away, however. Although not a budget motel, the price was reasonable with AARP/AAA discount.

« Quick Road Trip Stop »

My family was traveling from CA back home to Seattle and had a quick stop in Roseburg. This hotel was great stop to refresh and included an amazing free breakfast which included all the fixings. I was happy to see it included bacon, sausage, potatoes, and eggs. The hotel was right off I-5 and had an inviting pool and was close to shopping.

    « Garden Villa stay »

Everything at this motel was top-notch, beginnning with check-in and ending with check-out. I've stayed here before and have always been treated courteously and everyone was very friendly. I would recommend the Garden Villa Inn to anyone. The rates are very fair and the room was fine.

What a truly wonderful place to stay. We were welcomed to hot soup upon arrival. Every staff member were absolutely outstanding. Rooms ultra comfortable. Breakfast and staff serving breakfast were so helpful. Food was excellent. There is a basket of snacks to choose from for the road. I definitely shall return When traveling. Upon departure was greeted by owner whom was so friendly and caring.

« Not What iI Use To Be!!! »

We have stayed here many times in the past. Never will again. Has always been a nice little place to stop but every time we've stayed in the past year something has been wrong. This time took the cake. There was no hot breakfast, nor running water in half the place. I tried to use the restroom but could not even wash my hands because of no running water.!!! Two weeks ago we couldn't even shower, there was no hot water. The gentleman at the front desk, said he was owner, obviously did not know what he was doing. Sadly sir i can not give you a 9 or 10. You do not even deserve a 1 any longer.

« traveling so just spent on night but was very plesant »

was nice to be able to shop at Ross and Pennys as they were in the same place also a great Mexican Resturant in the same mall and a liquor store so very convenient, it was surprisingly quiet at night also

    « An ok stay »

It's odd to stay at a hotel with no hot water, apparently a water heater was broken. No discount offered. The wireless internet was very slow and impossible to use. Other than that the rooms were clean, although on the small side and the breakfast was consistent with other hotels.

    « Motel not Hotel »

REALLY should not be a best western property. Outdated, noisy, very small rooms. Staff fine, but it is more like a motel 6. Checked in and left, so can't comment on sleep quality. Right next to I5, and the door to your room is right next to parking lot.

    « Thanks »

I had a wonderful two days here, staff is very informative as well,we hope to come again soon?? do some bike riding ,hiking an mountain hiking, house hunting ,which will take us awhile ,quite a large area to cover,in the mean time keep doing what your doing @the hotel as it works wonderful ,house keepers work their bottoms off to keep guests happy.

The staff was extremely helpful, offering warm cookies and soup upon my arrival. Their warmth made me feel right at home. Any requests were met with a positive attitude and the staff tried to extend themselves as much as possible.

    « November 14,2015 »

Third time at this hotel and our stay was as expected. The staff and breakfast are both valued! It is conveniently located just off I-5 and we would recommend this hotel as a moderately priced option especially given the quality of the breakfast!

    « A Veteran's Preference »

The room was spacious and decorated in warm tones. We like the fact that this motel is Pet Friendly as we have a small Chihuahua who goes everywhere with us. As a Veteran visiting the Roseburg Veteran's Medical Center, we also appreciate the Veteran's discount on the cost of the room. The buffet breakfast was first rate. A surprise perk was hot soup and crackers served at 5 p.m. and fresh baked cookies served until 7 p.m. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable .(I witnessed a woman trying to check in on a reservation that didn't seem to be on the books. The receptionist suggested she call another motel to see if she was at the wrong establishment and looked up the number for her. ) We will stay at this motel whenever we have appointments at the VA hospital.

« Overnight in Roseburg, Oregon »

We travel from Palm Springs to north of Seattle a few times a year. We always use Best Western along the way. We always know what to expect...clean rooms, great service and being able to bring our dog is a big thing! This stay was particularily outstanding. As we arrived, we were informed that soup would be ready at 5:00...We were hungry and tired...it was delicious! We also asked about a place for dinner later on in the evening. We were told the Rodeo Grill was great..and they had a discount card for us! We went there, the service and food was fabulous...although we wern't too hungry, we shared a sandwich and dessert. Being so exhausted, I left my jacket! The next morning, I explained to Heather (Garden Villa) what I had done. She managaed to get my jacket and mail it to me!!! Talk about going the "extra mile". It is a favorite jacket, and I am so grateful for her helping me out. We will now always try to stay there whenever we can...just a wonderful all around experience! Thanks to all! The only downside is the area to take to Pets was minimal. I am wondering if there was a park close or something...I need to check that out next time.

« Very Clean With a Better Than Average Breakfast »

We were very pleased with this inn; it's very close to the interstate, easy to find, and has wonderful accommodations. Will the room was the basic motel room, it was very clean and well-maintained, with a flat-screen tv. The beds were comfortable and there was the nice amenity of power outlets at the bases of the lamps, making it easy to charge electronic devices whether at the desk or bedside. Extra points for them for that thoughtful amenity. The breakfast was much better average; sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, toast, cream cheese, butter, different juices, cold cereal, hot cereal, pancakes, and waffles. It was one of the more comprehensive breakfasts that I've seen that was provided as part of the room rate. The only complaint I have is the heater fan was noisy enough to wake me up, even though I was wearing ear plugs. This kind of heater is pretty typical of these types of hotels.

    « Great as usual »

We have stayed here lots of times and always enjoy the stay. The room was great as well as the services. Normally the beds are great but we got an extra firm one this time. Just an anomaly? We hope to stay here again later this year.

« Unique older motel with comfort and cleanliness. »

I'm a Best Western Fan, so try to stay with them as often as I can. This BW in Roseburg, OR was a refurbished older motel that had a charming room design with a large bathroom, better than average bed and a nice comfy stuffed chair that I like to use my folding computer table at rather than the desk that's usually provided. I did have a couple 'irritations' with the older style heater/air conditioner being very noisy, even on low fan and for some reason the TV remote would not change the channels very readily. I will say that the shower head was a dream as it had multiple settings and they all worked well. It's so enjoyable to have a shower massage while traveling.

    « Very Pleasant Stay »

This Motel has a garden atmosphere. It has a central court yard with swimming pool and Bar-B-Q available to guests. The rooms are very nice and clean. Downstairs rooms seem to have less highway noise but overall the place is quiet. The morning breakfast is very good with lots of choices: eggs, sausage biscuits & gray, waffles, pancakes, cereal.

    « Good and Adequate »

Comfortable stay, very clean room. Some noise from the freeway. Great selection for breakfast, hot food offered. Microwave and frig in the room. Furnishings were attractive and nice. A good place to stay.

« The "Best" Best Western »

I was staying at this Inn during some very trying times, but the staff there were the most accommodating people I have ever been around. The overall Inn is not new, but everything about the place was outstanding, mostly do to the fact the staff kept it that way. Very clean place to stay and outstanding staff.

    4
    « comfortable and dated »

Bed was very comfortable, Room was extremely clean. Minimum amount of noise, older furnishings in the room-could use an upgrade, Breakfast the first day was excellent, the second day warm food was cold. It is a nice place and very busy.

« Did not meet expextations »

Small rooms, old décor, Parking was terrible . The breakfast was a big disappointment for a Best Western. Beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. Noise level from other guests was not kept in check, The location was not very good no near by restaurants. This is a pet friendly hotel but there is no place to walk your pet or for your pet to use the rest room you are forced to go out in the shopping center to let them go.

« Stopped to visit friends. »

The staff went overboard to get us a room even though the President was in town for the disaster at the Umpqua Community College. We did not have a reservation, but staff accommodated us very nicely. My hubby would like to have a recliner in the room, as all the BW we stayed at had a chair, but nothing to help his back while traveling on the road. I don't think it would cost any more for a cheapie recliner.

    « Truckers Special »

They offer Special Rates for Truckers and they also have parking for Big Rigs. Very easy to maneuver the truck around. There is even a 24 hr Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand in the parking lot. Very convenient on/off Freeway Hwy 5.

    4
    « Nice budget stay »

Older property but has been refurbished and is clean and convenient. Nice quartz countertop and sink. Bed is comfortable. Nice breakfast selections. Door to unit stuck and was difficult to open and close. We stayed in a second floor room and we're pleased with how quiet it was. No frills, they sell Costco bottled water for a dollar/bottle and no perks for being a diamond level member. Still if looking for a comfortable quiet and convenient sleep, it is a good value. There are free cookies, but at 5:00 they were down to 4 cookies with no more forthcoming.

« Quick overnight stay during long distance drive »

This is a very good motel/hotel for an overnight stay whether on business or passing through the Roseburg, OR area. Nothing fancy, but clean and efficiently operated. The price(s) are right too.Their breakfast buffet opens early (6:00am) and is quite good ... not simply continental.

    5
    « trip home »

This Best Western was clean neat, rooms were large enough. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was great. The only negative I have personally was the bed was a little too firm. I would definitely recommend this motel. It is just off the freeway.

« One of the most helpful hotels we have stayed at »

The hotel is situated in central Roseburg. What stood out for us was how helpful the staff were when we encounter difficulties. They went out of their way to help. Hotel is good stand with all amenities and good breakfast selection.

    « Frequent stayer. »

Resonable rates, very clean, great people, super breakfast, nice soup and cookies. Handy to the Veterans Hospital. I've said all I want to say in the above. I don't need 200 characters to complete my review.

    « Nice hotel »

An older style hotel that's been completely made over and upgraded. The rooms are nicely furnished with new furniture and the beds are very comfortable. The linens are nice and stylish as well. The bath has apparently been updated too and is well layed out with plenty of towels and toiletries. All in all a nice room. Checking in was a breeze and the front desk staff was great and very helpful. Finally, they offer a nice breakfast too. So, to sum up, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
