Best Western Plus Rockwall Inn & Suites

This is a great hotel. Nice rooms, very clean and a great staff. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay. The manager, Mr. Chahan has done a fantastic job and has a wonderful staff. The hotel is spotless throughout. And the breakfast buffet is awesome

The workers lied, keycards didn't work, we were harassed by staff due to a lying Karen! She complained of noise when we were NOT even in the hotel! The staff was not educated on the promotions and did not book us for the two nights we asked for!

The indoor pool was a big plus. It can be challenging to find a good indoor pool in the south and this one was actually well heated and comfortable for our boys who are in elementary school. The breakfast was good with lots of hot options. The coffee was not great but on the bright side, our room had a coffee maker to make fresh coffee from pods. It would be nice if the hotel had some real milk creamer for in-room coffee especially since the machine downstairs is quite subpar. We were in a room near the freeway so it was a bit loud during the night. Overall, this hotel was a good value and we had a great stay. We would visit again.

Rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Great stay for the price. Pool was clean. Breakfast was good. If you want a nice quiet stay with excellent service and at a reasonable price come to Best Western. You'll be glad you did.

Me and my family stayed here for 1 week or so, I can't really recall, but the customer service by each members of the front desk Fernando, Melissa, Sandy, and Kevin were great and made me feel welcomed. Food wise, Adrianna served it with nice conversations and good foods. Our rooms had balcony, and it was a nice stay for me and my family for a little getaway from home. I enjoyed it here, I would definitely come back!

Do not be fooled by the beautiful picture shown online. If this picture actually is this hotel, then the picture was taken back in the late 60's or early 70's when this BW was likely built or it's been photo shopped. This BW literally sits almost on top of the frontage road of I30. We were greeted by Micah who was very friendly and welcoming. We had requested a King Suite on the top floor. We were assigned to room 328 which is the far end room on the freeway side. As soon as my husband opened the door of 328, the freeway noise was so loud it was as if the windows were open. I went downstairs, explained the situation to Micah and requested a quieter room. She was so kind and gracious. Without hesitation or any questions she went to work immediately to locate us another room. The reassigned room was 210 located in the middle section of the 2nd floor away from I30. While the room was quiet and clean it was the most run down hotel room I have ever stayed in. Once you enter and turn all the lights on, you will notice when you look up there is a long wide strip of dark, discolored ceiling which is significant water damage from leakage above on the 3rd floor. Plus, you will also see all the dust caught in the thick popcorn ceiling. The hard, lumpy mattress is extremely old and worn out. It should have been disposed of 5 or more years ago. My husband has a bad back and woke up in a lot of pain the next morning. I woke up stiff and sore in my neck and shoulders. The carpet appears to be new which is the one positive thing I can say, along with the fact that the water pressure in the shower is very good. The carpet in the hallway also appears to be new. However, everything goes downhill after the carpet and good water pressure. In addition to the hard, lumpy mattress, there are old, nasty looking stains on the box springs cover near the head of the bed on the right hand side as you walk into the room. The bathroom also has unsightly yellowish brown small spots scattered randomly on the walls. As noted by a previous reviewer, the shower safety hand rail is mounted on the end wall opposite from the shower head which renders it totally useless for entering, exiting, and maintaining your balance in the tub. Also, as noted by the previous reviewer the bathtub floor is extremely slippery. It is difficult to maintain your balance while showering and entering and exiting the tub. This is a real fall hazard. Also don't look too closely at the bottom of the bathtub because there is significant water damage in the floor corner of the bath tub area where the strip of drywall is separating and decaying. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that it's best not to open the curtain because all you will see on the other side of the window is the steel roof of a building about 1 or 2 yards from your window which blocks all sunlight or any type of view. Just keep the curtains closed and the lights turned off or on low. Hopefully the night will pass quickly and you can leave early in the morning.

It wasn't the worst we've stayed in. There's an odor in the hall and room. The flooring not installed well having open cracks to store nasty stuff? Bathroom could use a deep clean. Bed was ok. Rate was good by comparison to others nearby. We often stay in best westerns and Hamptons. This was on the lower end of any we've stayed in. It works for a quick overnight, but wouldn't be my choice for an extended stay.

Our room had 1 king bed and a loveseat and was spacious. It had all amenities you could need, including lots of places to charge your electronics. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great, with a good selection of hot and cold items. However, I would not stay there again because of 2 main problems - the dangerous shower and the highway noise. I actually thought the window was open when I entered the room because of the loud sound, but I found the window closed. We tried to muffle the noise by running the AC unit fan, but it was still very annoying. The shower scared me, because the floor was very slick when wet and the grab bar was in the wrong position. It was at the end of the tub opposite the shower, where I could not hold it while moving around. My husband also thought the floor was slick. There was also a problem with the toilet mechanism that needed to be adjusted after every flush, but that was minor compared to the other issues.

Quick to respond to access card problems and very quick to welcome quest. Being a reward member is even better. It was nice to receive a welcoming gift upon my arrival. I will definitely stay here again.

It was a nice hotel with nice accommodations also meet the sweetest front desk personnel mrs sandy she has been very helpful and nice she definitely made my stay more comfortable I definitely will stay again due to mrs sandy.

didn't get to use the pool or gym but did look at them and they looked clean and inviting. Our stay was very brief but everything was clean and staff very friendly. Check in and out was quick and efficient

Our family was in Rockwall to celebrate our uncle's 90 birthday and 70 wedding anniversary. We received excellent service at BW The staff was professional and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was beyond expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Exceptionally clean hotel with a variety of breakfast options that cover all food groups. Best price in town with great location for access to all that Rockwall has to offer. Gym has fantastic equipment. Pool looked very nice, but sadly I did not have time to swim. Would stay here again!

We lived in the area and had never stayed there so we decided to try it. IT seemed ok, There is not a lot of parking and what is there is a challenge for larger vehicles. The staff was courteous but there was an odor my wife was unable to rest well.

Always have a great stay at this location! I always stay here when I'm visiting friends in town & the rooms are always clean, the staff always goes above & beyond & its in the center of the city so it's a quick drive to shops, restaurants & the Riverwalk!

Hotel was a pleasant experience from check in to check out. The stay was peaceful with a clean hotel in general as well as the room. A great variety of breakfast. Location of hotel was convenient as located in the middle of town.

The jacuzzi tub was broken 6/7 nights. Was told they'd refund part of my bill they didn't do that either. The room smelled every day, and was moist/damp. The breakfast was terrible too. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Room was good. Breakfast is not a full service hot breakfast as advertised. Breakfast sandwich was as hard as a rock and should have never been served. The description on the website and Hotels.com is very deceiving.

We really enjoyed our stay the room was clean towels so everything you needed was out in the room coffee straws napkins fridge quite beautiful view. The staff was amazing Symone at the front desk was very helpful and kind and patient with us while her credit card would not work tonight a check in. But even though the phone was ringing constantly and she was trying to help us she was able to do all the tasks that she was needed to do and never made us feel like we were waiting for nothing. We've been in this hotel many times but the last time was a great stay and I want to say I had a lot to do with a sweet lady at the front desk name Symone.

Wonderful staff and quiet rooms. Indoor pool and hot tub is a plus. We had a very nice stay and would stay here again. The beds are a little too firm for my taste but the linens and pillows are soft and dreamy. Great water pressure and temperatures in shower and sinks.

First impressions: fingerprints on the first mirror you saw as you walked in; fingerprints also on the windows; Two stains on couch. Otherwise clean but outdated. With the outdated you could tell the caulking around the jetted tub in the room should be redone would make it look 100% better. Best things: friendly staff the whole time. Not one person was unfriendly!!! Whoever does the hiring did great! Over all it was clean. The heat/air conditioning both worked well. Breakfast was good. Pool looked clean and welcoming but I didn't have time. Bed was comfy and clean. Worst things: Traffic was more than loud (had hoped everyone else who reviewed just weren't used to traffic, I can def ignore some noise but…. Yea unfortunately this a problem.) Someone on my floor was smoking (not BW fault but unfortunate). Someone above me came in at 3 am super loud. It sounded like a herd of elephants. I thought maybe they had to leave for an early flight but I was wrong because I heard them again in the morning. B/w them and the traffic on my last night… I got no sleep. The Air conditioner couldn't cover the noise. Overall: clean, hard to sleep due to noise; probably would try somewhere else when I come next time. For the price I expected a little more perfection.

Will definitely stay again. The hotel was very clean and all staff encountered were very nice and helpful. The rooms were also nice and clean. The kids loved the indoor pool. Will definitely recommend to others and will definitely stay again.

My fellow pickleball players and myself attended the PPA Texas Open Pickleball tournament from Thursday though Sunday and of all the options available we chose Best Western. We were offered rooms at a special rate for being tournament participants and that was very important in us choosing where we stayed. I know of many others who also chose to stay at Best Western for this exact same reason, including some of the world best pickleball players! The rooms and breakfest were great for the price, not to mention the location was perfect for shopping or eating out nearby. I will be returning for future tournaments and will now consider this best western before anywhere else.

The Rockwall Best Western was very comfortable. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Plus, it was close to many eating places, and my family. I will definitely be staying there for my next trip to Texas.

The room was comfy and spacious. I traveled with my kids and cleanliness of accommodations are a must. This hotel is well maintained and clean. Employees were very helpful and polite. It was an excellent stay and will stay there again when we go through the Dallas/Rockwall area.

We rented two mini-suites for the weekend. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was quick. Breakfast was disappointing since they are still following COVID and handing out mostly box breakfast, so you will have to go somewhere else if you want a real breakfast. The internet is slow. The remote was broken in both rooms, and the air conditioner did not work in one so we had to move to another room. The staff was quick to help us with both problems. The rooms were clean and the overall hotel was clean. It is in a great location for getting on and off the freeway. It was quiet at night.

It's hard to find hotels that work for a family of five that don't require booking two rooms. This was perfect for us. We were all able to stay together. The hotel was clean, had good amenities, and great customer service. Will definitely become our go to option when traveling!

Clean, nice staff, ,good location (easy in/out, lots of restaurants nearby, five min from Shananigans fun place for kids and adults, not far from Southfork, shopping nearby etc), best value as I compared several hotels for price and ratings. Have stayed here twice in last six months. No problems with noise either time. They have vending machines and some products for sell by front desk like Advil, snacks etc. Small but efficient work out area. Small pool with big hot tub, clean and well kept. Being used throughout the day. Microwave and refrigerator in room. No problems either time during stay.

The employees here are so different then other locations, they always have a smile on their faces and they are all so kind, polite, friendly and super helpful! Thanks for all you do! was a smooth lovely experience, the only complaint I'd have was the lobby and general hotel area was like hot/humid but the room itself was nice and cool. Otherwise very please with my stay and will be staying again!

The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. Room was clean and well sanitized. Enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was grab and go items but it was good, especially the breakfast sandwiches The staff was pleasant and friendly. I especially enjoyed Brittany. (She is a sweetie pie)! I'd absolutely stay here again. I look forward to coming back to stay at this location!

Decent hotel for the price. Whirlpool jets in the room didn't work. TV and internet were out for 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. Heard stomping from the room above us until midnight when we called the front desk to complain. Located right off the interstate so conveniant but noisy. Staff was very friendly. Room was decently clean.

When I walked in to check in there wasn't even an employee at the front desk. Some random guy told me the she went to lunch. 15 minutes later she strolled in all nonchalant. She was not approachable at all. There was a condom wrapper on the counter of the kitchenette when we walked in with our 2 year old. Mysterious stains and cigarette ashes everywhere! The bottle of shampoo was open and emptied all over the bathroom counter. I'm pretty sure there were even blood stains on the floor. We left after being in the room for 5 minutes.

I stayed at the Best Western for almost two weeks and it was great everyday day. Considering I was over 600 miles away from home the staff was the best and treated me so good every day and always responded to my needs with a genuine care and friendliness from the top of mangement on down. And the place is so clean and well kept, not at all overlooked in any detail. I drink a lot of coffee and I was always at the front desk asking for coffee and they happily handed me paks of coffee and creamer paks. It's the little details that make the stays away from home so much easier to take and they made it easier. Thank you my Best Western friends. I would be more than happy to stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here. The rooms were very nice and the beds comfortable. We didn't have time to use the pool, but we did eat breakfast one morning and it was very good, especially the eggs and waffles. The wifi was hit or miss and the top plug didn't work in the bathroom (otherwise, I would have given this hotel 5 stars). The staff was very friendly. I'd absolutely stay here again.

It's location was centrally located, it's exterior grounds were free of litter and well groomed, the interior was spotlessly clean interior, as was my room + a bed that was soooo comfortable, the staff was very friendly staff and the breakfast bar was well prepared, maintained and delicious!

Great place to stay!!! Both the staff and the hotel were great! Mr Himmat Chauhan the GM is a great guy, right there ready to assist you with your very need! Paula the breakfast lady makes breakfast a wonderful treat! My grandkids loved the indoor pool just as I did. Will definitely visit again!

Great place to stay. Very nice, convenient to highway and local restaurants. Staff was very nice and the room was very clean and everything worked great. The bed was very comfortable and the pool was a nice getaway and relaxing. We will stay here again.

Where do I begin? I'm not one to complain. But Really?? 1) It's probably the nosiest “hotel” I've stayed at. I was on the east side of the building, had a balcony with what sounds like single pane windows allowing all the freeway noise into my room. With the door shut, it still sounded like my window was open impeding my sleep for business. 2) The WiFi is terrible. Download speeds are incredibly slow. Streaming. Slow. I used my phones hotspot for my computer more than half the time. 3) And last but certainly not least ... someone began smoking. Now credit must be given to the front desk. After two times calling they were willing to move me. However, here is the kicker. They wanted to move me closer to the loud freeway and steal someone's reservation because they were unable to knock on the said individuals door and tell them to quit smoking. In a hotels policy that doesn't allow smoking. So for a customer doing the right thing (myself), they wanted to move me (Inconvenient) and take someone else's reservation (Not fair) and place me in their room because they didn't want to “offend” the smoking guest. Or change their policy of knocking on doors. Or who knows? I respectfully declined however; because I didn't want to take someone else's reserved room. What can I say? I am disappointed and I still have two more nights. I will also be sure to tell my company about my experience and see if we can get it changed on where we stay next. Hope this helps future guests. I also understand I'm one of many guests who stay in hotels and the world doesn't revolve around me. But ultimately I am disappointed.

The hotel itself seems to be a bit older, but well maintained. Really nice staff. Samuell checked us in. There was a mistake on the bill where we were going to be charged $20 for 2 pets even though we had registered with only 1. When I asked why we were being charged for 2, Samuell apologised and corrected it. The room was clean and everything worked. First floor room had a view of a large wall, certainly not a nice feature. That evening, the wi-fi slowed way down, but was ok the next morning. Nice towels and toiletries, but cheap toilet paper. Cleaning staff was very friendly, smiling and saying hi to us as we passed in the hall. Breakfast itself was decent and Paula, the kitchen person, was great! Hard worker, friendly, kept everything in stock and talked to everyone who came in. Can't say enough good things about Paula! Checkout was quick and the bill was correct. Will consider staying here again the next time we are in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel location. Visited two different friends, one 40 years in the making. Not knowing either of their addresses till we arrived, could not have picked an easier location to both. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Paula the breakfast manager, is such an asset to this property. She spoke to everyone and assisted them when needed. She has such a sweet spirit! Loved seeing her to help start out day off with a happy greeting! Beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies. Would stay at this location next time we are visiting the area!

There are.many things that make a hotel comfortable. This hotel has a staff that truly cares. Britney checked me in and assisted in making sure I was taken care of. This hotel is a hidden gem, and wanna make sure that it is given credit were credit is deserved. Will be coming back. Thank u for evwrything

Stayed in this hotel last weekend, disappointed, I stay in other Best Western Plus many times in another town and always enjoyed the stay but this one was not the place to be called “plus” especially the breakfast, all Juices were watered down to not tasted like juice, the only protein they had were eggs no sausage or bacon or ham or any meat. We won't go back.

The entire experience was very relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful with great breakfast options. Interior of the hotel was beautiful. Enjoyed the swim in the spacious pool. Overall i enjoyed the stay and will be coming back again!

Nice stay here over the weekend. It was late when I arrived but the front desk was very alert and nice. My room as clean and inviting. The bed was comfortable and ample. The bathroom was clean and enough space.

Competitive price; extremely clean room. Beds are comforable and make for a pleasant night's rest. We appreciated the appliances that we used during our stay. The hotel staff was remarkably helpful and kind.

Comfortable, clean room and nice, accommodating staff. Breakfast was almost as good as a restaurant. Property is located on a busy highway, but road noise wasn't too bad. Only thing I wish, was that there was more room to walk around outside.

I will never use Best Western again. The owner, manager off this property followed us around the property. Beat on our door not in a uniform or nametags. Accused us of smoking because I used Febreeze to cover up the excessive chlorine odor from the pool and I vape, I don't smoke. I even went til the designated smoking area outside to vape and he kept having the front desk call us. Finaly left because of the harrassment. It also bothered the housekeeping we didn't want service. I'd already made my bed when I gotten up. She couldn't clean in the bathroom because I had wet swimming suits and pool toys drying and I'd swapped out towels with her already because ours were wet from the pool. She repeatedly asked to come in the room even when my boyfriend, son and I were trying to get ready to go out. There was also water outside of the elevator area that my boyfriend slipped, this was witnesses by Cherry one of the desk attendants.

Had a great three nights at this hotel. Room was clean and well appointed. Had many amenities: pool, hot tub, exercise room, and hot breakfast each morning. Paula, the breakfast room attendant, was so sweet and helpful. She made my stay a real pleasure.

Hotel staff was very friendly and best breakfast experience ever. The lady that runs the kitchen is on point and makes you feel like you're at home and not just some motel. And when it came time to check out I wasn't rushed out by the cleaning staff.

Good location when on the road. Surprisingly quiet being so close to the road. Bed was comfortable. Front desk clerk,Maria, was welcoming and provided all pertinent information for my stay. Good value for the price.

Went to Six Flags Over Texas and stayed here before traveling back home to Illinois. Perfect location out of Dallas. The room was wonderful! The beds were so comfy, did not want to get up! Breakfast was wonderful! All the staff we saw were extremely friendly and helpful. We will stay again on our next trip!

Have stayed at many Best Western Plus hotels and have always had an enjoyable stay. This one did not meet our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms were smaller and not as clean as we have come to expect. The breakfast was average. The decor is okay, but not as nice as other BW Plus hotels. The rates were fairly priced, but we would not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel when our granddaughter got married (9/28-29,2018) The odor was so bad when we opened the door! It smelled like smoke and some other horrible odor! With all our family we had rented five rooms and everyone said the same thing about the odor. It looked like feces on the bathroom floor! Breakfast is a joke! Stale muffins pastries. Employees very courteous. Do not stay in this hotel.

Should have stayed elsewhere. Even a park bench would likely have been better. The bed was well past its use by date. Had to sleep in the middle to keep from rolling there anyway as it sagged so much. The pillows were lumpy and awful. The noise from I30 was unbearable. Good thing I had my earplugs or I wouldn't have gotten any sleep at all. The front desk was deserted when I tried to check out. After several minutes someone finally showed up. The only saving grace was the wonderfully upbeat and completely charming, delightful lady in the breakfast room. She's a real gem. Without her, it would have been a total disaster. And no, I didn't mention any of this to management on checkout. Why? And get a forced apology? Again, why? Never, never again.

We spent one night in this uncomfortable hotel. The air conditioner wasn't working properly and our room never cooled down. Our non smoking room reaked of smoke. This hotel was also very musty smelling. We were with a large family group and everyone talked about the odor at this hotel. We did not try to change rooms as the hotel was completely booked for the night. It was late and we were too tired to try to switch hotels. Then when I got home I checked my bill and they put 3 charges on my account for 2 rooms. I was told by Fernando that this was due to a hold on my credit card when I made the reservation. However, all 3 charges posted on the day of checkin. There was no charge or hold placed on my credit card when the reservation was made. I will be talking to the manager. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOT, SMOKEY AND MUSTY SMELLING HOTEL. There are much better hotels in Rockwall with comparable prices!!!

The room and breakfast were fine. Everything was clean. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is a only a few feet away from the access road but we didn't hear much noise on our room. There is no sidewalk along the street - even to the Whataburger which is about 10-20 yards away. Employees gather in the back of the parking lot to smoke and eat. A bit strange but it's not a big deal.

It wont take long for you to fall asleep. Great room, comfy bed and everything clean. You have any questions regarding the hotel or restaurants to order food, ask Fernando (front desk guy). Very friendly and helpful staff.

I would recommend anyone to stay. Bed is a little soft, but if you like soft then it is just perfect for you. Staff is friendly and they will provide friendly caring service. We stayed Two nights and Three days and every thing around you is very convenient and some are walking distance.

Peeves first and out of the way - Did not care for fact my retired military photo ID was not acceptable with credit card at check in and got the 'need your drivers license' for address, etc. (as if not on the reservation), then phone number, then reason for the 4 night visit by which point I was surly and said I'll keep my business to myself. TV guide in room incorrect, but quickly changed when brought to attention With large signs prohibiting either open or concealed carry, my inquiry about in house security met a negative response. Hmmmm. Room was clean, of good size and comfortable. Internet was average. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and 14 year employee Paula treated it as her domain and guests as family and friends to be pleasantly and graciously served. I made a point of telling her that 'her' reviews had gone a long way towards my selection of that hotel.

A pleasant stay from the checkin to housing group luggage until rooms were available for our crew the stay was awesome. The breakfast attendant was top notch, and housekeepers made sure when returning to the hotel room it was a clean and comfortable experience.

It was short but sweet stay. Management must know that you have great staff. I wish I had longer stay. Breakfast lady is amazing, she is blessing! Other staff members were equally good, I will surely stay here again.

This is the first Best Western I've stayed in for probably 10 years. We chose it because it is very close to the Rockwall ISD Aquatic Center where we were attending a 4-day swim meet. The location was fantastic for that, and because it's so close to restaurants and shopping. As for the other aspects of this property, the 3-star review comes from my mixed response to the facility vs. the service. The front desk staff and Miss Paula in the breakfast room were EXCELLENT in every way. They were consistently helpful and kind and there is no way they can pay Miss Paula enough for her beautiful service in the breakfast room. I have NEVER seen someone at a hotel or restaurant go out of their way to be so helpful, caring and kind. There is a special place saved for her in heaven. However, the reason I can't give a higher rating is because our room just didn't feel very nice or very clean. The sofa sleeper was very old and stained. My children slept on it and I just didn't feel comfortable with that. The mattress was stained and so I inspected it very thoroughly. Probably someone just spilled a coke on it, but it just looked awful. The carpet was the same way. It looked old and felt sticky. After the first night I refused to walk on it in bare feet. I also noticed what looked like big globs of toothpaste on the curtains. And, I'm admittedly a perfectionist, but they weren't cleaning quite as well as I had hoped. When you drop something on the floor that's visible and return to your room after they've come to clean but still see that little thing on the bathroom floor, you know they aren't being very detailed.

Pick this hotel because of the indoor pool, and it was heated just right, the staff was great. Had a great experience. The breakfast was good I just don't like processed round flat eggs but the area was clean and I love the lady was was in the breakfast area so nice and caring.

The staff at the Best Western in Rockwall, TX made us feel like family. The hotel is clean and comfortable and was very nicely decorated for the holidays. The water pressure and the shower head made for a great shower experience. I love the pillows.

My son especially enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Hotel and room was clean and nice. Location right off interstate. Close to restraunts entertainment. I would stay again if in the area. Try Shenanaginz. Close by and fun for kids and adults as well.

It was my short stay. I am doing this review only because I was extremely happy with two people Breakfast lady we amazing and front desk staff went out of his way to help us. We will definitely come back. Staff here are awesome treated us with respect.

We stay at this hotel every time we go to Texas. The employees are so friendly, helpful, and great at recommending things. Whenever we stay at other places, it is just a place to stay, but with the employees here, we feel like they are part of our family.

Hotel is very close to everything, church, restaurant, etc. The staff are courteous, Even though the breakfast was not that good. The room size is good. No complain. This hotel Has an indoor pool and hot tub which is an added value! I like it a lot!

I planned to spend two nights at this hotel to pamper myself for my birthday. Enjoyed it so much, I stayed three nights. Best breakfast room anywhere. The attendant was very attentive to the guests and made sure there was plenty of food. She made sure everyone had what they needed or wanted. It was great. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

In Rockwall for carriage driving event at BlackStar Sport Horses. Very easy access off 205 and 30. we were in room 109 so close to ice machine, breakfast room,and front lobby. Breakfast starts at 600a and Paula is your hostess.....good selection of breads, eggs, cereal etc. I hope she never retires. Cheri is still at front desk and takes care of you too.

Hotel is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast offered lots of nice options. Hotel and breakfast staff very nice and helpful. Although very conveniently located, the hotel is right off the main highway, thus lots of traffic noise. And, since we drive a large truck, the parking lot is a little tight and limited. Other than that, this hotel was a good choice and I'll definitely stay there again.

Front desk staff Fernando way above and beyond to help us out getting all the restaurant details and food order. Housekeeping staff were amazing lady even did my personal laundry. I'm writing to commend your staff, whose courtesy and friendliness were noteworthy. Without exception, they all represented your hotel very well. The brightest of your shining stars is Ms. Paula, who welcomed me warmly every morning at breakfast. Even after my coworkers and I checked out, we continued to remember how fond we became of her. I hope you find an opportunity to recognize her for a moment. Special people like Ms. Paula make frequent hotel customers want to come back. You can tell this is an older hotel that has been updated. All the staff were polite . The woman in the breakfast area was very polite and ask if we needed anything frequently. WE enjoyed the indoor pool. The parking is a little bit tight in front part of hotel . Lots places to eat and shop nearby .

Amazing room in a terrific hotel. Windows on 2 sides so lots of natural daylight. 2 thoughtfully placed skylights. Because of the daylight, one of the best road-hotels that we have used. Great bed, internet access was really good. Breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel appears oldish on the outside. What a surprise. It was beautifully decorated and probably newly remodeled on the inside. The staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms clean & comfortable. The breakfast was hot, plentiful and it's hostess, Paula very helpful and hustled to make sure there was plenty of food and all were happy.

So many Breakfast areas in the previous 14 hotels were not well maintained and left a less than positive view of the whole experience as we drove away. This hotel is one of few exceptions! Everything from the lobby to the room, all public areas were extremely clean. Staff, especially Samuel at front desk and Paula as Hostess in Breakfast area were especially professional and friendly! The clean room had the extra benefit of a table with 2 chairs (perfect for eating previous dinner leftovers) as well as a desk with office chair. The bed was extremely comfortable with clean, soft bedding. Bathroom was shiny clean as well.

it's been 20 yrs since I've stayed at a best Western hotel and in the past it was just another place to stay but times have changed and so have they I can't say enough blown away by there attention to detail to make every part of your stay so comfortable and stress Free bravo Best Western

We were visiting family, and the location was very convenient for all activities. Breakfast was delicious! There was great variety and plenty of seating for everyone. The room was very clean,and the bedding was comfortable and inviting. The room was also very quiet. We will definitely stay again.

The hotel is located off a slip road by the westbound Interstate and is located just past the Honda dealer by another car dealer. The hotel is fairly 'brown' in decor which gives the hotel a dated appearance. The rooms are large with a decent bathroom, plenty of storage space, desk, table, TV, microwave and fridge. There is a small gym and pool with jacuzzi on the ground floor just up from reception.There is a laundry on the ground floor which was a source of noise for rooms 102-106 as a lot of the guests seem to be unable to talk on their phone or friends quietly. There is a breakfast room with a free breakfast of cereals, waffle maker, toaster, pastries and a hot section with a daily egg style, sausage, gravy and scone. Drinks include coffee, tea and a small selection of juices. The staff are very efficient with tidying up the tables and keeping food stocked up. The air conditioning was good but pretty noisy.

Over all this hotel was between three and four bubble rating. The hot tub was disgusting for most of our stay . The breakfast is pretty mediocre. The hotel staff was outstanding at every turn , and the beds were very comfortable . It would be nice and safer if the Back door key reader worked ... most of the time we were let in which was very considerate of employees . This hotel is on the feeder near a very busy intersection most of the things that you would like to get to her on the opposite side of the freeway . Overall I would stay again, but like to see improvements

Very nice and accommodating staff. They were able to accommodated an early check in with a pet. It is a quiet and nice location close to restaurants and shopping. Will stay here again when we gave business in the area.

Excellent staff at the three story with an elevator. Best Qestern quality throughout. Beds were adequate. The indoor pool looks large but the max depth is 4 feet although there is a hot tub nearby and the fitness room. The best was the breakfast and the caring staff.

We have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times over the past 10 years. Though we would prefer queen beds, the doubles are comfortable. Breakfast is always good with a variety of different items each day. It's an older hotel but well maintained and clean.

We had an immaculate, ample room, scrambled eggs that seemed like actual eggs at breakfast along with biscuits that were kept hot but not covered so the outsides were crisp. The air conditioner is quite close to the bed, which makes it sound louder. Room 206 is away from the highway and has no sound, so you might want to request rooms that don't face the highway.

The staff was extremely kind, friendly, and courteous. The rooms were clean and modern. The location is conveniently located. P.S. --I don't know what else to say, but I'm writing this because they want 200 characters total!! :)

The gal at the front desk was very helpful and kind. She visited with me and provided a name and number for a reliable driver service. The breakfast was in a nice area and there were healthier options than in other hotels I've visited.

Went to Rockwell for a family function...this place was close to everything and at a reasonable rate. We got a king suite. Balcony was nice to add sq. Footage, but we were on the front side which has a freeway going by it. Busy 24/7...bringing the road noise inside. Our rooms a/c was also VERY loud. The one in the bedroom was reasonable, but the one in the front room, oy, had to turn it off to hear tv. Pool reasonable...area clean. Breakfast pretty good. Ms. Pauline ( this properties star associate) switches up the menu a bit everyday. Resteraunts and a mall across freeway. Tip...do not go to the gas station with the Burger King in it...gross!!!

My wife and I are reluctant to stay in Best Western because we find them very inconsistent. They can be very good (Sedona, AZ) or very bad (Groton, CT). This hotel was very good, especially for the price. The desk was very accommodating, putting us in rooms very close together. The King mini-suite room was exceptionally clean and recently painted and refreshed (although there was a suspicious stain on a chair). The room was plenty big a nice lounge room with pull-out bed and a reasonably large balcony that sat 3 comfortably. A highlight was breakfast. Even if you don't eat, stop in and see Miss Paula. With a hug and a smile she will start your day right. She is an employee who takes ownership of her responsibility -- the breakfast area and lobby. Both were spotless and well organized. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Paula is a one-of-a-kind and any employer would be lucky to have her. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub; neat as a pin and no heavy chlorine odor. A couple of downsides. First, the place was loud. There's not much that can be done because the property is next to rt 30 which has heavy traffic 24 hours a day. Our air conditioner was loud, too. Secondly, the housekeeping staff is heavy handed with the pine scented cleaner. In a facility with such a strong odor, I get the feeling that they are trying to cover up a worse odor, but I don't think that this is the case. People with sensitivities beware. I'm glad I stayed there. Its a good property with exceptional employees. Other B-W franchisees should visit to see how it should be done.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff, especially Cheri, are always professional and go beyond to make your stay easy and fun. The hotel is always clean. The staff does everything possible to get what you need to make the stay comfortable.

Everything was lovely. The indoor pool was particularly night for a hotel. It wasn't large but was pretty and a nice environment to sit by an watch our young swimmers. ..........................pillows weren't as soft as I like them. But if this matters to you, your probably bring your own.

Best Western Plus in Rockwall was just exactly what we sought. A nice, clean place to relax and get away for the weekend. Close to local shops and eateries. Nice, clean and quiet. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and assist us with anything we needed during our stay.

Amazing staff, the evening desk clerk, day desk lady, the breakfast lady was so special, she went out of her way to fix me eggs as they were gone by the time I got to breakfast. She was so kind and caring about me, my needs, my trip and encouraged me in my faith in God. Not the expected hotel service, but very much appreciated. The room smelled so good when I walked in, beds were perfect, soft pillows. A super clean atmosphere, including the bathroom. The towels were heaven to dry off on. Appliances worked great. A very relaxing atmosphere, which I needed. I'd highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a convenient location and the staff is friendly. We really enjoyed the fitness room and the proximity to target, starbucks, and the burrito restaurant. They also accept pets which is why we chose this hotel.

We picked this hotel at random. Note that getting to this hotel when eastbound is difficult thanks to the Texas way of interstate construction. This construction also makes exiting the hotel property risky and dangerous. It also makes getting to any restaurant or shop confusing and difficult. Now for the hotel. Parking is cramped. All areas are clean and in good order. Our room had a fold out couch, fridge, microwave, and separate sink. Linens were clean, soft, and plentiful. The beds are somewhat high. Those who are shorter will definitely notice. Overall this is a very good place stay and at a good value.

Great location convenient to shops, restaurants, etc...Hotel older but well maintained inside and out. Room was clean but smelled like smoke and this is a non-smoking hotel (hallway and stairwell smelled better than our room). We addressed our concerns to staff members and was told they would note the record so were not charged a fee of $100.00 for smoking in the room. Yes, you have to acknowledge by initialing when you check-in that this is a non-smoking facility and you will be charged for smoking in the rooms. We have no issue with the policy actually think this is great, but still did not to run the chance that we would /could be charged for smoking especially since we don't smoke and room already smelled like smoke. Overall experience not bad and would stay at location again but would check the room first before checking in.

This hotel is very well located. Breakfast at the hotel is good, but there are no breakfast restaurants nearby so one is limited on choices. The biggest issue as the uncovered window on upper wall in the bathroom. The second issue was the noise level of the room as it faced the freeway. The hotel is very clean and the pricing is fair.

Had a great night. Amazing staff, especially the breakfast lady. :) rooms are clean and we'll organized. I loved the biscuits and gravy with hot sauce. I recommend this place to anyone. Only downside there's too much traffic entering and exiting the parking lot due to its size.

I like most Best Westerns, and the BW Plus, are generally just that Plus. This was an older property. I do want to state, I did not stay at this hotel. I asked for the key and checked out th $100.00 room. It was on the 1st floor near the pool. The area had a bit of a musty odor maybe from the pool. The room was small. (I had stayed the night before at a BW Plus, large room, very nice, $30.00 less a night). Also, the noise level from the highway was unbelievabley loud. I feared I would not be able to get any rest. The grounds, and landscaping was non-existent. The parking lot butted up to a car dealership. This was probably the least attractive property I have seen in ages. Not a good example of Best Western.

No room for Bus Parking. Front Desk personnel was outstanding at meeting our needs. We had no group available transportation so meals had to be brought to the hotel. The front desk wend out of their way to accommodate our needs.

Ms. Paula is just like your mom at home, the guys at night are really down to earth, the area was ok many things around to eat, didn't have a ride while i was at the hotel so it was nice to be able to walk somewhere.

Wonderful staff, good food and super beds. We stay here every time we visit our daughter in Rockwall. We call it our home away from home. Our grandkids like it too. They like to go swimming with us. Great family time

The rooms are nice and it is in a good location to get things you need nearby. My favorite part of the stay was Mrs. Paula who does breakfast in the morning she is AWESOME and brightens your morning!!!!!

The room was nice and clean. Small parking lot, but the managers were very nice. Great place to crash for not a lot of money. The elevator is small and in a hidden area. Breakfast is pretty good as well.

Although the motel looked clean, there were a lot of different odors in the elevator, hallways, and room. The spa was foamy and cloudy. Walls between rooms were thin. Breakfast was hohum. Although fairly new, this place is just average. Request a room away from the highway.

Checked in on Tuesday evening and the receptionist was very helpful and asking if i needed something I should just call ! The room was a surprise , was very spacious and very very comfortable ! The bed was a dream literally , I am very fussy about the beds but it worked out very well The bathroom , very clean and very bright which I loved and with a card saying if there is anything you forgot pls let us know and we will Organise it for you - amazing Woke up really early because of the tine difference and still I could work and relax as it was very quiet even with roads next to the hotel Breakfast was very good a combination of everything you need and also the service person Paola was the kindest and a very very friendly soul ! On the whole an unforgettable experience and will obviously visit back !!

I have stayed at this hotel several times for our annual carriage driving show and have never had a bad experience. The breakfast lady Paula if great and Cheri at front desk always take care of us. The location is easy to get to and I like coming back to the same place and familiar faces.

The staff was super friendly. My father in law uses a walker and did not understand the use of the tv. Cheri came over to his room and helped to understand the remote. Just wait to meet Paula in the breakfast room! The rooms were super clean and smelled so good. Lots of shopping and eating establishments around.

This hotel was the best I have stayed in recently. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The indoor pool and spa were excellent the water temperature was just right and the jets were strong but not overbearing. The maintenance staff were outside making sure that the outside appearance was as good as the inside appearance. I will be staying here every time I'm in the area.

Our room was not cleaned after our first night. We complained to the staff and were not offered any compensation or discout. We will not stay at another BW. The staff finally brought us some towels, but nothing else.

We were in town for family reunion and most hotels were booked due to fair. I traveled with my mom and four kids. My favorite part was breakfast, because Paula was so kind and joyful. I had all four kids with me, mom was upstairs. Paula is the lady who makes the breakfast, She fixed my five year old a waffle while I handled the baby. The front desk staff was also kind and joyfully helping travelers. Thank you Best Western Plus Rockwall. I love hotel stays and this was a good one.

I stayed here on a 2 night business trip. The room was very nice and comfotable. Got descent sleep. Room was plenty spacious. The breakfast was the norm like in most hotels. all around a good hotel to stay at.

Recently stayed here for an overnight business trip. Got in about 1am. Waited at the front desk for about 5-10 minutes before somebody came out to check me in. Was left wondering if I was going to be able to check in even though I'd already paid before I arrived. Rooms are clean enough but old. A/c works good but cuts on and off all night and it's loud. Bed is hard. No extra blankets or pillows in the room.

Good location right off of I-30, located near every imaginable fast food chain. Several close by several good local restaurants. Many retail businesses close by. Hotel was nothing special but great staff at reception and Paula in the dining area is wonderful. Cleaning staff makes two visits to rooms, once to clean rooms and another to bring towels, should be one visit to do both tasks. Good value and location. Pool and hot tub were dirty and over chlorinated. Fitness room is below average.

Had an awesome night sleep. Can't wait to come back. I really enjoyed the pool and spa, but, there was a great deal of foam in hot tub. The beds where extremely comfortable, so comfortable I snored. So said my son.

Although this is not the nicest hotel property in the area, it is clean, and has just the right amenities. What sets this hotel apart from any hotel anywhere (not just nearby) are the people who work at the property. Cherie, the manager, is outstanding and makes sure every guest's needs are met. Fernando, who works at the front desk, is wonderful and completely committed to making sure guests have a perfect experience at the hotel. Ms. Paula, the kitchen lady, is sweet, and a true joy to be around. She does everything so that you feel completely pampered and blessed after eating breakfast. She is awesome. The people make this property the rare treasure that it is. We do not even consider staying at any other hotels in Rockwall. We won't give up our Best Western family!

Spent last 6 months staying on and off in this hotel and has almost always had intermittent internet service; keeps getting worse; I am here to work and can't stay on long enough to get work done; sent to tech service for hotel and spent 25 mins in the # 1 spot to get service and no one ever answered. I have lost tens of hours fighting this internet. I guess it is time to move on.

We had a great experience at this hotel in every sense of the word. It is convenient to everything, dining, shopping and recreation. I cannot say enough about the staff, they are an extraordinary crew who obviously care about the guests and love their jobs.

This was one of the most pleasant stays at a hotel I have had in a long time - the rooms were clean - the price was excellent - and most important the hotel management and staff were the best attendants I have come across in a long time - better than some 5 star hotels in the Dallas - Rockwell area that I have stayed on business trips. The complimentary hot breakfast was great including the lady in charged - she even walked around to each table ensuring everyone was ok - and she was very friendly! What a way to start our day! I hope all Best Western's were this way! They should and can be - just follow the example of this hotel. THANK YOU!!!!!

We stayed in a 3rd floor king suite. It was a bit noisy on the balcony, but not the hotels fault. The room was very clean, and the staff was friendly. We arrived a bit early and they hurried to get our room done to accommodate us. This area has lots of restaurants and shops so therefore was a bit busy for us. Once again not a deal breaker. The only negative we had is the toilet. Needs a bit more flushing power or be updated. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Comfortable, great value, clean room, and the in-house breakfast area is the best - clean, freshly prepared food items, great service. The front staff is very accommodating. Internet is a little slow, but is still usable.

it was a comfortable hotel room. I slept well. Breakfast was good, and the lady overseeing it was very pleasant. The battery was dead on my remote but the front desk man had it changed it out in 5 min. or less. It was a small issue that was handled with the importance of a big issue.

For anyone having business or a visit in Rockwall, this location is pretty perfect. Site was clean, breakfast was as expected for this level of establishment, beds were comfy and staff was great. There is however, a big BUT. The air conditioning unit is incredibly loud and unless you want to roast by turning it off expect to hear it all night long going on and off. Wish that weren't so because other than that we would choose to stay there again.

All the basics and a clean, comfortable room. The location was not scenic (wedged next to a car dealership) but was handy to the interstate, and the desk staffer was excellent about giving directions. As usual with complimentary breakfasts, there were few healthy choices, but the staff member there was very attentive.

We were here for a wedding...everything was great..staff extremely helpful. Location to wedding site great. Location to restaurants and downtown also great. Very clan Hotel and a good value. We had many of the Wedding guests also here with us so it was a great family experience.

Best Western in Rockwall,TX is very clean and staff members make sure you are well taken care for and welcomed. Then indoor pool area is well taken care of and nice to unwind in at end of the day. Would recommend and stay here again.

Warm and welcoming service, large rooms with exceptionally comfortable bed. Very clean and staff very helpful. Fairly easy access off the interstate but if heading east, take the 'u turn option' when coming off the highway as the hotel is on the opposite side. (I found it a bit hard to find as the GPS locator had the hotel in the dead opposite direction.) Internet connection was intermittent, which was a bit annoying.

try to check in with Kristi. so nice and friendly. stay away from josh, if you ask him something about the area he will tell you to use google. Fernando was nice but not as nice as Kristi. I don't know why shes working the graveyard, I think she should be working during the day with her customer service skills.

Came to Rockwall for a family function and needed a place to stay for the weekend. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was very welcoming. Location is near restaurants and stores and close to downtown Rockwall. Overall was a great value and a nice place to stay.

Everything is good! Beds are comfortable, room is clean, bathroom is clean and breakfast options are good. Staff is friendly and lobby is clean. The only experience that I had that was negative was the internet. Tried to watch a tv show online and had to try several sites because the internet was so slow.

this hotel was nice and very clean. The indoor pool was great and the free breakfast wasn't bad either. The staff was very nice especially Kristi she was so helpful. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Paula is a jewel you need to love and treasure for ever don't ever let her go. The pool area is very quiet and nothing to write home about, and needs more exercise equipment with only the treadmills it's just not enough. One thing i really liked was their fast internet speed, watched a few movies during my training.

This is not one of the better BW hotels/motels. Parking is tight. Very close to busy highway and local roads. Our room had a dead roach in the bathroom upon check in. Channel selection on the TV was mixed up and hard to determine. Guest relations could not correct it or understand it either. The breakfast room is quite small with the usual average free breakfast. The rooms are small with old style window heater/AC units.

Business trip. Reasonable rate for the area and great location right near my customer. Room was OK. Breakfast was OK - would have been really good if it included potatoes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room needed repair around the wall vent but was clean and comfortable. I'd stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at this facility for 4 nights. Everything was wonderful; very clean and wonderful staff from check in, breakfast, cleaning staff; just great. Hotel is immaculate, breakfast delicious, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The staff will take care of you in any event. Just loved the place. Will definately be our home away from home when we visit our granddaughter who has moved to Dallas!

I hadn't stayed at a Best Western for many years, but when I had to stay an extended time during my Dad's illness, I stayed at this hotel. The staff was extremely professional and greeted me whenever they saw me (most of them knew my name). They actively offered me help and were always friendly. They kept the hotel very clean and the breakfast was very good and had lots of variety; Ms. Paula was very attentive and so friendly. I will continue to use this hotel when I'm in Rockwall.

It was great stay! Comfortable stay, excellent service, friendly staff. The breakfast lady was very sweet and helpful! Went out of her way to make me feel good! The pool and the fitness center were great too! Would defiantly recommend!

The location is good and every day the sheets smelled clean (you can smell the bleach which is more comforting than I expected it to be). However, we heard every step the people above us took, and the place is quite old and in need of more than a few repairs. Oh, and the water flow in the toilets is not really significant enough to do its job, so keep that in mind as well. People tend to not notice that until it's too late, so here's advance warning.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Rockwall in Dec and January off and on (based on availability due to the families affected by the tornado that hit Garland Dec. 26). I wanted to let you know how professional, considerate and accommodating your staff was at this hotel. Cheri, Fernando, Samuel, Kristi and Paula always showed an interest in how all their guests were doing, asked it they could help in any way, and knew what their guests were going through. It felt very much like an extended family supporting all their guests during an extremely challenging and stressful time. Our rooms were kept very clean. Miss Paula in the breakfast room was amazing and very attentive to all her guests needs. This hotel overall impressed me so much that I wanted to let you know. I'll be back there this coming week to finish up some business I have in Rockwall and believe me, there is no where else I want to stay than at this hotel. Thank you for being such a great group of people to take care of all these travelers.

This hotel was extremely claustrophobic, inaccessible and had broken items. The rooms are TINY, the hallways are narrow and the lobby and breakfast area are crowded and squeezed together. The small amount of space makes for any stay with family or more than one uncomfortable and unpleasant. The beds were sloped in the middle and the last day of our stay the TV was broken and would not give a picture or sound. The wi-fi in the hotel was excellent and the staff was friendly and courteous, however the accessibility for the hotel was terrible! There is only one way in and out of the parking lot and the parking spots are narrow and tight together. Its location on the I-30 makes it necessary to drive over 3/4 a mile to perform the necessary turns to access any business on the South side of the Highway or to access anything east of the Hotel or in town. The Hotel is located next to a New Car Dealership with super bright florescent lighting on all night long and the narrowness of the building makes for hearing a lot of noise from the other rooms! Physical and environmental problems aside, the staff is professional, polite, and aware of these problems- they will do their best to accommodate you and your party.

Lone Star Santas Charities had a Convoy of Toys to the tornado victims of Rowlett, TX on Saturday 1/30/16. A lot of us came from Houston and South Texas to bring toys for the children that had gone through the disaster as that is what our organization does. We stayed at the Best Western in Rockwall Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms were spacious and the service was excellent. A special thanks goes to Paula the lady that took care of the hotel breakfast. She was always asking what she could do for us , making waffles, keeping the buffet full and even cleaning up afterwards. She had that special attitude of showing she cared for what she was doing and especially for those she was serving. A great place to stay for one and all.

We liked this hotel but there were not too many parking spots available. Over all we were happy and had great time. We will recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Oh don't forget to give raise to your breakfast lady she is awesome!!! keep up the good job.

Every one here are Great, very helpful staff. our company people stay here all the time. I am happy to stay here, it one of the nicest hotel our company put us in. We will let our other folks know how nice is this hotel and enjoyed our stay, very satisfied with the room and service!!

It is a very nice hotel, the only that did not work was the GPS because there is no address to put in, but it is on exit 68 on I 30, when you come from Dallas, and when you come from El Paso you have to get under the overpass and then right. Staff was nice, breakfast okay, rooms clean

Hotel was clean, staff was helpful and efficient. There were several guests at this property that were victims of recent storms in area, I was impressed with the hotel staff on their empathy and service they showed those guests who had lost everything

This is the first time my husband and I have ever stayed at a Best Western, but I will have to say the entire experience was excellent. Our area was hit with an EF4 Tornado and many people were displaced. We just lost electricity but had to find a hotel fast. They were able to accommodate us immediately. We have 2 dogs who also who stayed with us in the room and it was very comfortable. We were afraid the room, being a pet friendly room, would smell funny, but t did NOT! You couldn't even tell animals had stayed there. The front desk people were awesome, the rooms were very nice, and I couldn't believe what a large selection there was for breakfast, AND IT WAS FREE!!!!! AND IT TASTED GOOD!!!! Paula, the lady who prepares the breakfasts is a shining star at this hotel! She has one of the best spirits of anyone I have ever met. It was a really tough time due to the tornado, but Paula really went out of her way to make you feel at home and she made sure you had everything you needed. We kind of felt like we were guests in her home!!!!! You really have a jewel of an employee in her!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Paula! One more thing, we had already paid for a third night, but our electricity came on early and so we checked out early so someone else could have our room. We assumed we would still be charged because it was past checkout time. The manager said due to the Tornado circumstances, they would not charge us for that third day, since we had only been in the room a couple hours after check out. That was pretty amazing. During such a hard time it is nice to know some businesses put People before profit. We will definitely stay here again and refer this location to everyone we know!!!!! Keep up the good work.

I attended a wedding in Rockwall Tx, December 19, 2015, all out of town family and friends were booked at the Best Western Plus. The room was nice but the toilet never quit running, I tried to turn off the water but could not. The next morning my four brothers and I had an early flight and went down to get coffee in the breakfast room, it was about 6:00 a.m.. The lights were turned off and we asked Joshua the attendant on duty to turn on the lights but he refused stating, " I can't turn them on until 6:30". I asked why? He stated because, " If I turn them on people will come in and start eating". I told him that is horrible customer service as we sat there in the dark drinking coffee. We then moved into the foyer across from the check in desk as Joshua walked around with ear plugs on, continued his morning duties oblivious that every time the door opened the winter wind blew in on us. There was no where else to gather but eventually this nice lady came in and turned on the lights and brought out Danish for the other guest that had time to eat. We had to leave to catch our flight without the "Plus". We checked in late in the evening and left very early, can't add anything else about the hotel.

The BW in Rockwall is a really nice place that is centrally located and easily accessed. The best feature are the people that work there. Miss Paula at breakfast is a beam of sunshine and Samuel at the front desk is always a helpful and friendly face.

The hotel is nice. It is in a weird location. The staff are great. The indoor pool is wonderful for the Grandbabies. Needs new pillows. The lady who serves breakfast is very nice and helpful. I would stay again.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here for a swim meet. The staff is always friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is great. And a special thank you to the lady who works the breakfast area. She is wonderful.

Overall the hotel is ok. It was fairly clean, except for the giant red stain on our room carpet, and the slimy/oil film that covered all the fake wood furniture. Plenty of extra towels and pillows (our request) awaited us and the room AC worked great. This hotel is so close to Interstate 30 that you could hear traffic all night long. The location is literally wedged between a new car dealership and some other business so parking is super limited and hard to get in and out of. The building is made such that the only hallways are very narrow and one could barely get the luggage cart down the hallway without hitting the wall on each side. Rooms are tiny at best but I suppose adequate for a short stay. If you are claustrophobic, you better not stay here in a regular size room. We had a ground room floor and could hear lots of noise from the second floor above. Located off a frontage road, the only driveway is super small and will barely accomodate two cars. Had a nice pool and hot tub and fitness center. There is a free breakfast but we skipped it as there were too many folks trying to jam into a very small room. Actually the whole hotel looks like its was an afterthought to fit onto a very tiny lot. But they made it work......its just a bit "confining" for me.

We stayed here while visiting a friend in Dallas. The location was close to restaurants and entertainment and easy to find. The room was very quiet and clean and comfortable, but a little musty smelling. Breakfast was good and the staff was extremely friendly and that is always greatly appreciated. I would recommend this hotel!

Called and admitted my lack of detail review. Website resets dates when you click properties and dates. Booked wrong date and they kept my money. Will go out of my way to not use a Best Western as corporate said they couldn't help even though I had another of their properties booked for my correct dates. Those reservations have been cancelled.

Checked in at this location for a 5 night stay. Facilities were good - rooms just felt a little small. We had a single queen room - which probably would have been fine for one person, kinda crowded for two. Everything worked fine except our fridge - but it was fixed the next day. The views aren't good, but there are PLENTY of TV channels to keep you entertained. The highlight of our stay was Mrs. Paula in the mornings. She was over the breakfast area and she is a gem! She is so kinda and completely treated the guests of the hotel like guests in her home - clearing plates, serving food, everything! She would be the reason we stay at this location again :)

took my daughter and some friends out for her 13th b-day. had a great time. Hotel staff is AMAZING. The sofa bed was horrible but the queen beds were very comfortable. Our room was very clean. I would definitely stay at this property again.

Overall - I had a pleasant stay here. The employees at the front desk were very helpful and service oriented. Good free breakfast in the morning. You can make your own waffle. There were eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, among other things. Nice location surrounded by good restaurants.

TABLE .....2 chairs desk /chair 3 drawers fridge micro coffee closet iron / board 3 towel sets hairdryer breakfast ...eggs ..sausage ..gravy biscuits.mffins ..cereals..juices ...etc .....FANTASTIC AND FRIENDLY BREAKFAST ATTENDANT ....SHE IS AN ASSET TO THE HOTEL laundry room for customers indoor pool exercise room with towels walkable across uneven grassy areas and two business to get to WHATABURGER and a strip mall with shops and other foods .... got the last rroom .....it was only a king room ...the bed was very high .... comfy bed comfy comforter quick check in very friendly clerk ....told me all about the strip mall and the foods available there friendly check out weird parking lot ...wasn't sure if parked in hotel or car lot next door 1st floor near the back exit found 1 dead roach and a partially dead roach the next morning inside by the door ....probably came in thru the back exit and under the door ...looks like the poison got them :D :D if thru this area again will stay here again .....

We enjoyed Texas Waffle, Breakfast was great and breakfast attendant made my day, she hug me and made me feel special. God bless her! we enjoyed our stay, our room smelled nice and fresh and surely come back! Keep up the great work.

Had absolutely no issues with our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and the complimentary breakfast in the morning. I did not get the lady's name that was in the breakfast area that she was definitely a sweetheart and make sure everyone had what they needed! It was clean and at a decent price.

My experience overall at this hotel was excellent. The staff was great and helpful. I forgot my toothpaste at the previous hotel i was staying at and the front desk supplied it without hesitation. The room was in great condition and the decor was very modern. Would definitely recommend this location for any type of getaway.

The staff was great however we had issues with our bathroom. The toilet never flushed and was not cleaned all the way when we arrived. They need new toilets and need to do some upgrades. The cost wasn't worth if for what was given.

A travel allot since I work for a trucking company. It was a very comfortable stay especially after a very long drive. Staff is very helpful as well as caring. I wished my family was along, they would have loved it too here. This place has great and clean breakfast, gym room and pool side. And everything you need is located close by be it restaurant, wall mart pharmacy gas station everything!!!!!!!!

Really nice place, Paula has her space immaculate, beds are awesome, beautiful tree's, would love to come back for about 3 days just to relax and enjoy the people. Life is good at best western rockwall.
