I was so impressed with my stay! Staff was excellent. Room was spacious and well appointed. Everything was clean. I slept well without any noise. It just felt like home. Can't say enough good things about this stay!

Have stayed 8 times, always very comfortable and satisfied. Great management and staff! Breakfast has great variety. Room is modern and very clean. Pool & hot tube. Located near restaurants, shopping and a movie theatre. Lakes quite close for fishing and short drive to the woods for hunters. Ill be back...,

I booked a room with one king size bed for my wife and I. Our two kids were going to sleep in the portable cribs that we brought along for them. The front desk clerk refused to let us have a king-sized room and insisted that since there were four of us we needed to stay in a room with two double beds. She understood that our kids would not be using the beds at all, but she still refused to let us stay in the room type that we booked. I asked if there were king sized rooms available, and she said that there were, but that we could not stay in one.

The passing of a lifelong close friend brought me back to my hometown of Rice Lake, WI. As always, I stayed at the Best Western Inn on South Main Street. Unfortunately, the way too familiar character that usually greets me upon arrival, manning his post at the front desk, ensuring everything that would make my stay at his hotel the absolute best possible, was no longer there. The owner and recipient of annual awards for excellence, year after year, my dear friend Tom Doyle, had just passed away. Lori, his right-hand gal and manager for the past 20 years took his place, as she expertly has in the past, but permanently this time. The most gracious and hardworking front office staff, Deanna and Corey, were there to assist and make sure all guests received the most outstanding service that the Best Western Inn of Rice Lake is known for. The utmost in personal safety and security has always been a top priority for Tom's patrons, and will continue without fail. The operational integrity of every aspect of the BWINN property has always been a hallmark of Tom Doyle's establishment, and that reputation will never tarnish. We checked in fast and had no problems with our stay. It was a clean room with lots of space to roam. I would stay here again. We were on the first fool and had a nice quiet night. We stayed here 2 days and each morning was a different breakfast that was better then other places we stayed. I would stay here again.

Great service. Even when I messed up, they still gave me a $50 gift card towards my next stay. Very clean rooms, very friendly. Cont breakfast is always on par! Used the gym in the morning, very well kept and clean. Water pressure is fantastic too.

I travel frequently and have stayed in a variety of hotel brands at a variety of price points. I paid $160 for my room and that is a travesty, with the lack of amenities offered and the lack of updated facilities. It was clean enough and provided a place to sleep, (although walls are thin enough that I heard other guests in their rooms) but nothing more, which would have been lovely for me if I hadn't paid the price I did to stay here. Paying anything over $80 for a room here is just wrong.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable, and the dining area was clean as well. Food was also very tasty. Staff was friendly and polite, and the location was very easy to find. My wife and I were happy with our choice

Recently we stayed at the Best Western. The staff was friendly and helpful and the motel was in a good location for us. I especially loved the shower and the breakfast was one of the better ones that we have had. Even though this is an older motel I thought it was worth staying at and we were not disappointed.

The hotel is always clean and well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and customer oriented. The hotel is located near restaurants, shopping and any services you may need, and has easy access to the highway. Best value in the area.

We've stayed here before and will again. Close to super clubs and other stores and venues we like. Staff couldn't be better. Very comfortable beds. Only downside is there's no pool. There is a hot tub.

Have tried three hotels in the area. Microtel- cheap is the best thing I can say about Microtel. Holiday Inn Express- I tried this hotel multiple times and my room always smelled like wet dog and caused my allergies to flare. Best Western has the best customer service, location (three restaurants in 1/2 block), value for your money and breakfast variety. Plus nice rooms, you can't go wrong!

Nice place, friendly staff but no pool or elevator. Rooms are spacious and clean. Best shower I ever had in a hotel. Hall ways should have some air but ok. Breakfast is great lots of choices and well stocked. Excellent coffee.

This Best Western was exactly what we needed while on our way north. The staff was friendly and helpful, the entire hotel is exceptionally clean and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast had many options to choose from and as far as continental breakfasts go, it was very satisfying. The location, not far from the interstate, makes this the perfect stop.

We've been staying at this hotel every year for the last few years and every time it's a wonderful time. Hotel is clean, amenities are good and the staff is friendly and go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service

The hotel staff was nice, yet the hotel is very dated, needs several up grades, the walls are thin so you hear everything your neighbor does or say, it was like walking back into the 80's, there was only a few staying there so they put right together. I will be going back to Rice Lake in 9 days, yet not back to the Best Western

This is a super clean place to stay. The breakfast has so many options. I especially love the Racine Kringles!!! The fitness room is also great! There is a machine that has over 10 muscle groups to work.

We checked in a little early with no problem. Water was nice and hot (better than most places), great shower head. It was very quiet, very restful. The location is close to restaurants and several coffee shops.

This is by far the BEST Best Western Hotel I've stayed in. Very clean room, excellent service. They actually opened up the breakfast at 4:00am while I was there because some of us had to start work early.

Great customer experience, very hospitable and the food was very fresh with lots of variety. They take care of their hotel and make sure to keel it clean. The employees held the door for us every time we entered and exited the hotel with our luggage cart. Very great people.

This Best Western was a well taken care of hotel . The owners/managers come right to the front door and open it and welcome you! Rooms were clean and breakfast was pretty par for the most part. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We had 4 adults with 2 rooms.

Nice hotel with clean spacious room and courteous staff. The WiFi, however, was spotty at best and intermittently nonfunctional. It was not fast enough for video streaming. Our room was furthest from the lobby which was the likely cause of the intermittent reception. I would frequently be knocked off and had to log back in which didn't always work. I finally gave up. The reception was better when near the lobby. They probably need to install another router or range extenders.

My wife and I were well pleased by the entire experience. The entire process, from reservation to check-out after a multi-night stay, was handled flawlessly. I'm retireed now but spent many years doing frequent travel. This experience was one of the best for value, cleanliness, facility maintenance, and the quaility of breakfast.

First off, if you saw on the web that they have a cocktail lounge know that this is a tiny fridge with beer in it in the lobby. Seriously a stretch! Also expect to pay about $40 more than the listed price because of tax and fees. Other than that it was a great place to stay! We were on the first floor and the windows actually opened!

We made reservations ahead not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Great location, great setting. The staff was wonderful, the room very nice, great bed. Breakfast was just what we needed to get an early start. If ever in Rice Lake again we will definitely stay here.

I travel extensively for business, and I will say that many of the hotels I stay at are not the cleanest; its a fact. To be clear, these are 3 and 4 star locations ! it's extremely frustrating to arrive at a location, pay a healthy rate and find your room only "mostly" clean. This location in Rice Lake is worth every cent - clean rooms, helpful staff, clean exterior and hallways. In all seriousness, I couldn't see dust anywhere - including the vents and ceiling tiles (which were also clean and unbroken). It's clear to me that management take pride in their facility. Thank you.

Best decision made was to stay at the Best Western in Rice Lake. We weee greeted by a very pleasant and friendly staff member at check-in. The hotel lobby, breakfast area and rooms are very clean. Loved the carpet and bedroom decor. Would stay again!

Totally enjoyed staying in my spacious, clean and graceful room. The mattress was great, the bedding was cozy and charming. The owner, Tom, and his manager, Laura, were so hospitable, I truly felt welcomed to Rice Lake. Enjoy the breakfast: scrambled eggs were perfect and check out the hot tub!

very much beyond my expectation. Hosts greeting was like that of what hotels used to be....they really wanted us to enjoy our stay and welcomed us with real appreciation! Rooms are clean - great surprise to have cleanliness like it should be in all hotels!

Very surprised with the breakfast. Eggs and sausage were microwaved but not rubbery done just right. All the basics. banana, yogurt, eggs, waffles, bread, cereal, cheese stick, even a microwave muffin. No pool but do have a Jacuzzi. You can buy beer. The room was spacious. Good size refrigerator and a freezer compartment that works. Chair so you did not have to use the desk to read. The air conditioner worked. Personable staff. There is a new mini-golf across the street and a lot of stores. A nice size bathroom. price was a weekend price but it was hard to find a hotel even a month out during the summer.

The rooms were excellent. Very clean, very neat. Everything was very up to date. The breakfast was quite good , and there were a lot of choices. Also liked that it ran from 6 to 9 AM. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and very helpful.

We were greeted and checked in quickly, and made to feel very welcome and appreciated. Tom, who I think was the manager, was on hand at check-in, was friendly, accomoodating for our changed room needs, and offering bottled water. Somehow we ended up with a King Leisure room, much bigger than normal, at no extra charge. The check-in lady was also wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The whole hotel was quiet, even though there were many guests that night.

We prefer to stay at the Best Western Inn chain as they are locally owned and always have great amenities. That being said, this particular Inn is our favorite of the several Best Western Inn's that we stay at. Location is great. You can walk to either a great Supper Club or family restaurant. The Inn is squeaky clean as well. Easy access from #53 is a bonus, Staff is the best that we have found over our 45 years of travel.

This is THE nicest, best run, cleanest, most accommodating and friendliest place we stay at in our many travels. Always look forward to going back! I give it a 9.9 rating!!! Could get to 10 if you would have a WISCONSIN based TV provider. We are Brewers fans, NOT Twins fans and we can't get the Brewers on your MN TV!

This is the perfect place for a business trip but also a great place to chill & relax! Large spacious rooms with great WiFi for business was perfect for our meeting. The great area of Rice Lake provided plenty of activities and we loved the hot tub at the hotel and relaxing on the patio! The suites are awesome! Very spacious rooms with 1 -1/2 baths allow for meetings while keeping the sleeping area separate and private.

Our room was very clean and it was big. It had a big sitting area with two chairs. The free breakfast area was nice and it was decent with many different offerings. They had microwavable breakfast sandwiches which were nice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back if we are in the area.

Check in and out was very easy and the staff member was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Also impressed with clean bathroom. I would highly recommend this Best Western as a nice place to stay.

We always feel so welcome from the great staff at the Rice Lake Best Western, Tom and Laurie are there to greet you personally, it's. like coming home when we arrive there. The Inn is always clean the rooms are exceptional, morning breakfast is great! The evenings are always quiet with a beautiful hot tub to ease those aches and pains from your travels. I stay here when in the city to visit family and friends. I'm never disappointed. Everything is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well placed near shopping and restaurants, only 2-3 minutes from downtown.

I was hesitant to book at the Best Western because of a previous negative experience in another city. The positive reviews and the price compelled me to give it a chance. I booked and checked in online. When checking in online, you select a two-hour arrival window. We arrived shortly before 6 pm and an employee was at the door to usher us in and welcome us. The woman behind the desk had our keys ready. The gentleman who opened the door for us handed us bottles of cold water and gave us directions to our room. First impression was how clean everything looked. However, there was an odd sweet smell in the corridors. Also realized then that there wasn't an elevator. Need to keep this in mind if guests can't do stairs. We had some trouble with the electronic key card. Seems that you have to run it through very slowly. The room itself was a nice size, very clean, and had most things you need for a night's stay. Furnishings were a bit dated, more traditional in style. Bed, bedside tables, dresser, desk, office chair, lounge chair with ottoman, TV, coffee maker, iron and board, and hair dryer. There is no mini fridge. Toiletries in the bathroom were limited to two bars of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The tissue container built into the wall was empty. Once again, bathroom very clean, although the grout in the tile floor could use a good scrubbing. The shower head had great flow, and the wash cloths and towels were surprisingly thick. The bed was very firm, which I like, but I like a little more of a cushion on top of the firm mattress. Might be too firm for some. Free wifi worked well. Password is on a card on the desk. Breakfast was very COVID friendly being that everything was packaged and wrapped. That being said, it was very "grab and go;" pretty basic. Prepackaged slices of bread, bagels with a small tub of cream cheese, packaged Danish, packages of two hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bananas, individual fruit cocktail and pears, cups of cereal, packets of oatmeal, individual packets of sugar, honey, salt, pepper, butter, tea. Disappointed that there wasn't any decaf coffee or tea available. Some of the yogurt containers didn't have labels on them. Only knew they were yogurt because of the size and location of them next to some that did have labels. Again, very clean and inviting. Plenty of seating. Flowers and napkin dispenser on every table. Could have used a couple more trash containers spread through the room. Overall decent, clean and quiet.

Short-notice trip for a family funeral.i regularly stay at Marriott properties but none in area, Best Western has good reviews. Reviews were well earned! Clean room, friendly check in staff who asked if I needed a dinner recommendation. I had plans for Lehman's Supper Club next door with family, and he had discount coupons for them. Nice self-serve breakfast. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Great value for what I needed!

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great for a continental breakfast. When we mentioned that we were going to Lehman's Steak House dext door to the hotel, for dinner on our way out, the front desk staff gave us discount coupons while highly recommending the restaurant. Dinner was exceptional!

King room was huge!!! They didn't have a pool, but a hot tub though. Breakfast was awesome for it being during the Covid pandemic. The bed and pillows were comfortable and room and bed was very clean. Easy check in and check out. Awesome room for a great price!

I recently visited Rice Lake, Wisconsin to attend my High School 50 Year Reunion. I always stay at the Best Western Inn on South Main Street wheen in town, and once again, the motel and staff made for a wonderful long weekend. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities. The extra precautions for the virus thing was most evident throughout the lobby, pool area, workout facility and meeting spaces. The included Continental Breakfast is as close to a Full Breakfast that you will find anywhere. As always, the front desk staff and motel owner/manager make sure everything possible is done to take care of any needs. Tom Doyle, along with Lori, Brittany and Corey were the perfect hosts, and make you feel like you are their only guest. I certainly look forward to my next visit to Rice Lake.

We had a single night stay. We do a great deal of over-the-road traveling and stay in a lot of hotels. I don't often do reviews, but this place deserves a comment. This is not a new property, but everything has been updated. When we stay in older properties that have been updated I always look at the bathroom tile and caulk, and it is is seldom updated and often is pretty yucky. Not so here. Everything is modern, updated, like new, in perfect working order - all the details have been attended-to. The room is especially large, and is comfortable and attractively decorated. And if you are looking for a clean hotel look no further. This place isn't just clean, it sparkles from top to bottom! My wife and I cannot recommend it more highly!

The Best Western in Rice Lake is a great value, with competitive pricing, pleasant and helpful staff, clean rooms, and an exceptional hot tub! A firm king bed provided a great night's rest as well. We'll definitely be back next year!

We were traveling to attend a family funeral. We booked a king suite, not realizing it was a 2 room suite. It probably stated that when I booked, but I didn't pay attention. The price of the room certainly didn't indicate the enormity as it was extremely well priced. The sitting area was spacious and comfortable and had its own 1/2 bath. The sofa was extremely comfortable and the wet bar was an added plus. The bedroom area was even more spacious and had a full bath with a phenomenal shower. The bed was heavenly. It was the best 2 nights sleep in a hotel we ever had! The staff that we encountered were happy and friendly. Added plus: Authentic Kringles were offered as part of the continental breakfast. Only drawback, and it is slight, there is no elevator. I didn't see that when we booked, or I would have asked for a first floor room.

Overall excellent stay,only issue was our room was on the busy street side and woke up during the night due to traffic noise. I will pack ear plugs next time or request a room on the back side of the hotel.

Bigger than average size rooms and staff bent over backwards to assist us due to my mistake in reserving a room. The cost was considerably less than other hotels and as a member, I received another cash rebate.

I've stayed here a few times now. It's always clean and well-maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. I feel safe staying there when I'm traveling alone. The internet service is fast and reliable. Rates are very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of this hotel.

The stay was just a short overnight after a midweek event at the Rice Lake Speedway. The room was a little dated but was spacious and clean. Overall the hotel was very quiet and the staff was EXTREMELY courteous. I would highly recommend this facility...an overall great experience.

A group of 8 had ridden our motorcycles all day to get to Rice Lake. We were greeting by the owners with big smiles and bottles of cold water. Everything from the lobby, to the room to breakfast was better than expected! Very reasonably priced. We'll be back next year!

We had a problem with internet and TV connection. .Lori the general manager dealt with the problem immediately. She took my friend to another room and everything worked. She moved us to this room which was a nice upgrade. Lori and the owner have been very professional and care about the hotel. Last time the owner took our luggage to our room. I highly recommend this Best Western hotel in Rice Lake Wi.

The size of the room blew us away, in a good way. The property is in like new condition inside and out. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were always available. We wish all Best Western's would be this nice.

Great hotel, we'll known world-wide chain, Best Western Rewards points, good location at the south end of Rice Lake, easy acess to major freeway. Currently offering free breakfast. Unfortunately, no pool.

Got a huge room because only one left…yet only appeared to have 20%occupancy when we were there. Clean, functional, easy. Wished for smaller room and lower rate, or a pool. Hot tub was way too hot but still nice to relax after a long day.

very nice, comfortable room. bed was comfortable, easy to use temperature controls, plumbing, shower, sink, toilet all worked as it should. plenty of hot water. Lighting, plenty of plugs easy to access.No pool, but they do have a hot tub and well fitted fitness room. I had trouble getting on the internet, but it could have been my device.

Was cared for by the staff beyond expectations given the limitations of the Covid thing. Hotel was clean and everything was done to see we were kept safe. Have stayed here when there was no covid and the experience was way different. Totally enjoy the space in the oversize room.

This hotel may not look like much on the exterior but, it's interior and rooms are extremely nice. They have a nice breakfast that is head and shoulders above the many hotels that I have stayed in since Covid. They offer breakfast sandwiches that can be microwave for a hot breakfast, cereals, fruit, fruit bars, hot coffee, etc. Most hotels give you a cold sack consisting of expired fruit, a fruit bar and a bottle of water. If this hotel can offer a hot breakfast, why can the others? Lazy?

We were nervous staying at a hotel during COVID because we've been staying pretty careful the past 10 months. We were in a wedding this weekend and decided to stay at Best Western Inn since it was only 15 minutes away from the wedding venue. We arrived and had the most friendly staff waiting for and helping us. They went above and beyond their duties to make sure we felt welcome and safe. The entire hotel was very quiet and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

This was my first time staying at a Best Western property. Could not have been more pleased with the cleanliness of the property, courtesy of staff. The room was more than adequate, lots of room to move about.. I definitely will book at this facility in the future.

Nice, clean hotel, conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. Very pleasant staff. It's an older hotel, but very well maintained. They were remodeling the 2nd floor when we stayed. Spacious rooms. A little dark, but we are there to sleep, so that's okay. Would recommend this hotel.

When we arrived, I found out that I had accidentally booked 2 extra rooms. I was close to tears. The cancellation deadline was past but the president, Tom Doyle, was quick fix the issue. Couldn't have asked for a nicer person in the way he handled it. So refreshing to have someone that cared and had compassion on our situation. Thank you again, Tom Doyle! God bless you! P.S. Vacationing with my companion, we needed place to stay for a few nights while visiting family 30 minutes from Rice lake. We chose a suite with a king bed. Very clean and roomy with a firm but comfortable bed. The staff was very accommodating.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Rice Lake, Wis. for a short overnight getaway. We arrived at about 4:45 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon. The lady working the front desk was very friendly and professional. The motel itself is conveniently located to most of the restaurants and shopping in town. The room, and motel overall, has been thoroughly updated and is very clean. The bathroom was surprisingly large, and with a nod to today's technology, had easy-to-connect and strong wi-fi and a handy cube on the table between the two beds with an alarm clock, outlets, and USB ports for charging devices! I liked that the HVAC unit is controled by a wall-mounted digital thermostat; these seem to keep a steadier temperature than when the temperature is controlled at the unit, and the room was kept at an even temperature the entire time. Unfortunately, the bed seemed on the hard side for both me and my wife, and the sleep quality suffered a bit. That would be the main thing I would improve about the stay, but the motel's advantages outweighed this and we'd stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and every time it gets better! From the owners, cleanliness and everything about the stay was beyond our expectations. They offer a small continental breakfast in the morning which is just enough to get you going. The entire staff was friendly and smiling!!!

From the look of the outside, I would never have guessed it was so nice inside! Staff was great, hot tub wonderful and the bed was dreamy!!! So quiet also:)))) Staff was sweet and welcoming, could easily get ice, newspaper was on the counter:)

This Best Western stay was wonderful. The management, reception, helpfulness was so appreciated for someone that is not from the area. Our room was very comfortable and a full breakfast was served each day for us. The room rate was very reasonable. I will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We have stayed here two times and both times the room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was minimal.....could be better with hot item choices. Very reasonable rates. Would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here in the past. There are other hotels in the area but BW is the nicest, cleanest and very quiet. Beds are very comfortable. Gives you that small town feeling. They take the time to chit chat with you!! I highly recommend it to any one!!

This is one of the cleanest, well maintained proerties I've visited in this price range. The staff is extremely friendly. Don't forget to ask for discount dining vouchers for local restaurants. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Rice Lake!

Just a quick getaway to see the fall colors turned into such a nice experience when we checked in to the Best Western in Rice Lake,WI. We were greeted at the door by the owner Tom who immediately produced two bottles of water for myself and my wife. We began the checkin process with the manager Lori and Tom offered us each a beer, my wife accepted immediately while I was trying to figure this out, (who is ever greeted in this manner especially at an unassuming Best Western ?) Tom comes back with a frosted mug and pours my wife a bottle of ice cold Spotted Cow, a beer we cannot buy in Minnesota. I caved in right away after seeing this and accepted his offer! Com'on, who could refuse this? After some friendly conversation we asked for dining recommendations, Lori made reservations for us at the supper club that was next door to the motel. (this was a great dining experience) we left the lobby area and headed to our room and noticed how clean everything was, no dust anywhere, nothing out of place, no marks on the walls, no offensive odors, everything was so well kept! This wasn't just in the lobby and hallway areas, when we got to our room we found it to be in the same condition! everything was clean to the point that you didn't have to worry about the remote for the tv because it was one of the newer “clean remotes” with one continuous smooth surface that can be wiped clean. All the little things and attention to detail were evident everywhere. Tom and his staff have done a fantastic job with the changes they have and continue to make at this motel. There are a lot of lodging choices in the area and this certainly is not on a lake or in the woods and it does not have a pool and if that's not a priority, this is an excellent place to stay. Cory the dayside guy will go hot of his way to make sure you have everything you need and does a great job with the very generous continental breakfast. If you need a place to base your activities out of, need a clean place for a weekend getaway, or are on business or just traveling through, I can only say that you will not be disappointed staying here! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious with pleasant decor. The breakfast is one of the best with hot scrambled eggs and waffles plus fresh bananas and oranges plus the usual cereals. Best Western did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome. Love the people of Rice Lake Wisconsin at the Best Western there. So friendly and welcoming, would have a hard time staying anywhere else in that community

Spent two night at this BW. All staff was welcoming and were very attentive. We adk d about putting bikes under the overhang, and they said we could without hesitation. Only negative, and nothing they can solve ... Needs some more restaurants in walking distance. Family Restaurant was across neighboring parking lot, so it was good.

I travel every week, this by far is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help. Breakfast had a large variety with real donuts, not those frozen ones most hotels throw at you. Great place to stay.

This is a very good place to stay. The person at the front desk is very good. The room was clean and comfortable. And most of all, SAFE. Great location with a good selection of restaurants close by. The breakfast was excellent.

We booked two suites and had rooms across from each other. Perfect for families with children as the rooms were very large and comfortable! There was plenty of room for play pens and toys! Very impressed!

The BW in Rice Lake, WI is a good value and was conveniently located for us. All employees are pleasant and greet each guest. I was very impressed with the top notch staff and owners. They are accommodating, efficient and helpful. Also, the room was immaculate!

This place is spotless inside and out. Up to date TV and internet. Given bottles of ice cold water at check in was a bonus. Fresh fruit in the lobby etc. A great breakfast. There is a limited lounge selection but there is a great supper club adjacent to the property. A short walk and you are at a premium dining spot. Good parking (secure) Hard to beat.

The manager met us at the door and welcomed us. Also thanked us for our business. I've never had this happened anywhere. There's a walking park located behind the facility to stretch your legs. It's also located within walking distance of perhaps the best dining facility in town (Lehman's I think).

We stayed here again after not traveling to Minnesota for 3 years. The proprieters are so nice! One person in our party left her cell phone at the breakfast area, they actually called us! Furtunatly we were only a short ways down the road, we drove back & retreived it. Such a joy to know that mom & pop owners, that care, still exist. When in Rice Lake, stay here, we will.

I visited Rice Lake for two nights while on business trip. Very clean inside and out. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Easy check in/out. Spotless room and comfortable bed. Hot breakfast. Good rewards program. Fair price. Excellent value.

In general we were happy with the hotel itself. But if you are expecting a room that includes a small frig and microwave you will be disappointed. We wouldn't mind not having a microwave but think a frig should be included at least.

This was our third stay at this Best Western. It is a short 5 minutes off the highway. There are places to eat and shop in the area. As others have said the hotel is older but in very good upkeep. The same staff has been there for the last 5 years we have been going. That to me is a good sign. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had a king size bed that was comfortable. Clean room. Good breakfast with eggs and sausage served by the staff. All of this at a very good price. We will be back when we are in the area.

We stayed in a room with a king-sized bed. The room was a nice size and very clean. It had an extra chair with a foot stool which was good for watching TV. The bathroom was clean and there was an extra sink in the entry way of the room, which was helpful in the morning when both my husband and I were getting ready to go out. The only down side to the room was there was no little refrigerator or microwave. The breakfast room was nice and the breakfast was waffles, fruit, cereal, pastries, etc. All the hotel staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Over all a very nice, quiet stay.

Older motel but exceptionally clean with updates to what are all larger rooms. Nice to be able to walk around the room without bumping into the furniture. Stayed here for in town wedding. Breakfast nothing special, but adequate. Great coffee. Beds had new mattresses. For the price, it was perfect.

My wife and I had the best stay at a hotel we have ever had. Even though it is an older hotel, it is well kept and very clean. We were met at the door with the best service we have ever encountered. Very friendly service. Would stay again.

I checked in on a snowy Wisconsin weeknight so the hotel just had a handful a guests. I tried reserving a room online, but since I was having difficulties I just drove a couple miles and did everything in person. I received friendly greeting at thaw front desk by a couple who may have been married. I got a rate $78 (which was less than the $82 quoted online). They even offered me a bottle a water. Nice touch. It appears they're starting to renovate some rooms so one stairway to the second floor was closed. My bed was super firm, perfect for a side sleeper like me, room was clean, temp was good, needless to say it was quiet, the TV had lots of channels, the room had both wired and wireless internet and the showered was mounted high with lots of water pressure. I didn't try the free breakfast. I didn't check out of the hot tub or any other amenities. I'd stay here again.

You wont find another Motel with a staff that more accommodating. Except for Mondays there is a fantastic restaurant right next door walking distance--Lehmans is the name.An older Motel but Very clean with all the amenities.

We have been staying here over the past 12 years and have NEVER been disappointed! Hotel is SO clean and updated! Rooms are fresh...beds newer and very comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and staff SO hospitable and friendly. We wish we could take THIS Best Western with us when we travel!!!

The hotel and our room was clean. Staff was friendly. No pool. Breakfast was free but it was weird that they didn't have a warmer for the eggs & sausage. A staff member served it out of a electric skillet from the bar. I think most people would prefer to serve themselves....is this their portion control? I've never seen anything like that before. I believe the hotel needs to do some updating.

The staff was friendly and professional. They handled a reservation problem quickly and got us checked-in. Everything was clean and well maintained, a very impressive property. (I used to be the facilities manger at BW hotel.) The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Will stay here again when in the area.

We stayed for 2 nights in this new, spacious and amazing hotel. The hotel Manager and the entire staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. The whole facility was in top condition and most important very clean. We enjoyed also the rich breakfast which was included. We for sure will come again.

This is an older BW, but was very clean and made a point to state that the rooms were not only cleaned, they were sanitized, including the TV remote. Spacious room. Would have liked to be nearer a restaurant in walking distance, as we are on motorcycles and at the end of the day like to walk. Hotel is a little tricky to get to from the highway.

2 room suite was huge. 1 1/2 bathrooms made it very comfortable. I felt spoiled by the on-site amenities. Abundant food choices in the area from fast food to supper clubs. Lots of nearby shopping & all of this right off the highway!

I have stayed here several times for business and have been very pleased with the staff. Always very friendly and helpful upon arriving. Stayed on the second floor and they brought my luggage up the stairs for me. Nice breakfast in the morning also.

The Best Western is a good sized older hotel that has served the community for decades. The lobby area and staff are welcoming. The decor is older and could use a bit of an update. The room air-conditioning was good but not great (it kept you cool, but was a bit difficult for us to regulate). The breakfast buffet offered lots of choices. There is not much in walking distance of the hotel. Keep your car handy if want a late night snack.

We stayed here for one night, and appreciated the friendly front-desk staff and the good breakfast. The staff was helpful when we had a problem with our first room. Our first room was on the first floor, and there was a mildewy, sweaty smell in the room, and the A/C was not turned on, so it was extremely stuffy. There was also a man outside the door (outdoors) smoking, so the smoke smell was drifting down the hallway. They should establish a smoking area away from the doorway, perhaps at a picnic table on the other side of the parking lot, as the man was right next to the door. Fortunately, we were able to change rooms, to the second floor. But again, the A/C had just been turned on, so it was really warm in the room. It did cool off after awhile, but the unit was loud. The breakfast area was very nice, and they offered eggs, sausage, waffles, and other pastries, bread, and yogurt. I would recommend providing a small fridge and microwave in the rooms. Most similar hotels have these two items.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It has a nice breakfast in the morning that offers a nice variety along with personalized service. They have been very accommodating and the service is excellent! Would highly recommend this hotel when staying in the area. We have always had excellent service from the friendly staff.

After a long day of traveling, we stumbled on this property. To our surprise we got HUGE king suite - 2 bathrooms, "kitchenette", sitting area. Very comfortable. Staff very accommodating - offered to help with our luggage as there is no elevator. Nice breakfast area. Clean, quiet, and very comfortable stay.

We did have a few issues one was that someone propped open the outside door and our room was right by it and they were smoking pot by the door and getting the smell into the hotel and our room. The night worker was very rude about it and didn't care about his guests.

On arrival, we were told that we were the first ones to get in to this newly remodeled room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioning was loud, like a little plane engine and didn't work all that well. The bathroom was also bad, the tub had really fixtures and the tub didn't drain well.

We can recommend this hotel for its friendly staff, cleanliness, comfortably appointed room, and pleasant decor. We will stay here again. We were here during Aquafest and there was a carnival set up across the highway. We had our windows open all night so we were certain we'd be kept awake. Not at all ... the room was still very quiet. We appreciate that!

We stayed here for just one night on our way to the Dells and I left a ring on the sink. It was just silly and sentimental, but I called and the young man at the front desk immediately found it and mailed it to my home! Such great service! Beds were comfortable, breakfast was great and there were plenty of places close-by to eat dinner, etc. Thanks for a great night's stay!

Business took me to northern Wisconsin. Thought I would inquire about this hotel. People were very kind, place was neat and clean, and the breakfast was enjoyed. Only disappointment was the Wi-Fi. On the road a lot and I count on this to get office work done. There's was pathetic at best.

I stayed over night for a business trip to the area I like staying at the Best Western chain. The service and accommodations are always above par. I did not get to try the breakfast menu or there lounge area. The hot tub felt very good after a 4 hour drive.

stayed there while attending a family funeral, and visit with relatives. I stay at the BW whenever I visit family in Rice Lake. Since the last time ,staying there, the pool has been removed and the Kmart next to the BW is now a Harbor Freight. Otherwise it's a beautiful, kind place to stay. Only bad incident was while packing the car, they cleared our account before checkout, So our cards no longer worked leaving us locking us out in frigid temps, and our purses locked in the rooms,

We selected the BW in Rice Lake, not because it was the newest property, but because it is a well maintained property. Inside is very clean and quaint "up north" décor. Fit our needs - breakfast with variety, food kept at appropriate temps. Stayed during frigid temps and offered coffee and hot chocolate upon our arrival. Used the dinner coupons offered us for eating at local restaurant.

The staff was so helpful, my wife was on crutches and they even moved our bags to the room to help us out after a long day of driving. Check in was very fast and we slept very well. Wonderful breakfast to greet us the next morning .

Hotel wasn't close to the interstate, but greatly enjoyed the quietness. First time fir this stay, and would enjoy staying again. A little disappointed with breakfast; would have like more "hot" items like eggs and meat, or hot biscuits & gravy.

We had a very large room (114) with king bed, 2 easy chairs with table between, large screen TV which swiveled to serve either bed or chairs. There is a separate bar/coffee area, a desk with chair, 2 luggage racks, larger than usual mini-fridge and microwave. Did not use the small single serve coffee maker as I bring my own 6 cup. The shower head was adjustable spray and bathroom very clean. The vanity area is small, however. The breakfast room was large and very well appointed with hot scrambled eggs/link sausage - 2 waffle irons and many toppings, oatmeat, cereal, muffins, rolls, toast, juice and a pleasant gentleman in charge. Definitely a "do-again" hotel!

Clean room and service-oriented staff. If it only had an elevator it would be nice, but if not needed this hotel is very clean and safe. All of the employees I had contact with were very friendly and willing to provide great customer service. Keep it up.

This is the best and cleanest motel in all my years of traveling. A quiet room in back provided the best quality sleep and away from the street noises. Being able to have breakfast in the same place saves time and energy and allows me to get back on the road faster.

Extremely clean and well taken care of hotel. Staff was excellent. Rooms were designed well and very comfortable. The location was perfect to get around and see all that the town had to offer. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Large parking lot with plenty of space for large vehicles and I felt very safe.

I have asked for the same room each time, only once they could not arrange it. One older person does not walk well. The room was very clean, there was very little noise for a busy weekend. I do plan to stay here again, next year at about this same time.

The Best Western Inn in Rice Lake, WI has always been a great place to stay. Their rooms are huge. The beds are comfy. They have very friendly and attentive staff members. The daily breakfast is generous and very well attended. The atmosphere is very pleasing and you feel like you are welcomed and cared about. I love staying here when returning home for family visits.

This property deserves 5-stars when compared with other choices in the area. It is clean and well kept with caring employees. The included hot breakfast is substantial and even has an attendant making freshly scrambled eggs. There are 5-things that I look for in a hotel: clean, quiet, comfortable bed, soft towels and personable employees. This property meets all these.

A well kept property in a good location. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Our room was on the back side of the property and was quiet with a really nice view of a park. Nancys family restaurant close by and a good place to eat.

The Room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk was staffed by Chelsea .She checked us in very efficiently. She was very welcoming and helpful. As soon as we stepped up to the desk she handed us bottled water. We would definitely stay here again!

We liked the room a lot. Breakfast was good too. They had someone serving eggs, sausage and biscuits in addition to the regular kinds of breakfast food. They also had both wired and wireless internet. Everything went well, and the staff was very friendly.

We try to stay in Best Western's as much as possible when we vacation. It seems most of them are American owned and are clean and fresh. Only once in several years have we encountered one owned by middle easterners and the hotel smelled plus we had to ask them to please put clean sheets on the bed. It was obvious they had never changed the sheets from the previous customers. Other than that Best Western is the best place to stay.

Excellent experience. Hotel was immaculate. Just a one night stay on our way to Voyagers Nat'l Park. Always like BW brand but this one was a step above. We will definitely return if in this area again.

Very clean facility. Comfy bed my husband wanted to take the mattress home with us. ;) Staff was all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good - pretty typical. But was fresh, with good presentation. An older building you can tell but is very well taken care of and you could tell there had. Even some updates.

The front desk staff was very nice and friendly. The man that checked me took the time to tell me the best place to park and get to my room. Having a door man was also very nice as well.The housekeeping staff was HORRIBLE! I said hello with a big smile to everyone I had seen and not one even smiled back!! You could tell they didn't want to be at work the way they slammed the empty room doors open and would toss dirty linen out into the doorways of rooms!! The room for the most part was clean, the bathroom sink could have been a little cleaner, but could have been worse!! I have stayed at many Best Western hotels over the last year and this one by far was the worst! Very disappointing!

So friendly and so very clean and accommodating. We always try to have our road trip such that we can stay in Rice Lake. There really aren't a lot of choices on Hwy 53 as you get further north from Eau Claire so this is a good mid way point for us.

The Best Western in Rice Lake was the nicest Best Western we've stayed in in a long time! They greeted us at the door and had complimentary bottled water at the front desk all day. Rooms were CLEAN and beds were comfortable. We had a large party and were very accommodating, even allowing us gather in the "pool" area to order in pizzas. Bravo to the management and staff of this hotel!

Over the years I have stayed in various places in the area. Most have been ok, a few less than ok, but this place is, in my opinion the best hotel. I was really looking for a nice quality and quiet room for the night. When I walked in and out, there was always someone there to hold the door. Check in was super easy and I was handed a bottle of water to drink during my brief wait. The room was modern, big, and clean. I had forgotten my toothbrush and a wine bottle opener. The staff quickly provided me with both. This place does cost a bit more per night than other area accommodations. But, if you are looking for a quiet, clean, well kept place to stay for the night, this should be your choice.

I always look forward to driving to Rice Lake as there is a Best Western hotel located close to places I like to visit. One may walk to one of the best eating places in the area, weather permitting as Lehman's Supper Club is less than a block south of the motel. My room was located on the side of the motel away from Main Street aka Highway SS that overlooks the open space of a doggie park and open fields beyond. It was very quiet. My room was very clean, quiet and the bed comfortable. I received a good night's sleep and awoke with the sunrise as the room had an eastern exposure. Breakfast began at 6 AM so I was able to get up, dress, and eat breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage, sweet roll, orange juice, and coffee. With the exception of the sweet rolls, everything was just freshly made and tasted very good. I checked out by leaving my room keys at the front desk and was son my way by seven feeling full and well rested.

Amazing hotel—room was bigger, with more amenities than at the LI Marriott I'd stayed in a few weeks earlier, and as nice as the Hiltons where I usually stay (but this BW has microwaves and fridges). Squeaky clean, lap desk, pillows galore, nice breakfast (no eggs the day I was there, but so what)? Even a discount at the supper club next door. No HBO, but who travels to watch TV? The staff was wonderful—no elevator, so they carried my bags up & down stairs and even from & to my car. Price was extremely reasonable. Should I find myself that far north again, it'll be my go-to.

We found this BW to be very accommodating friendly. We had a spacious room,nicely furnished....with comfortable beds. The breakfast area is nicely appointed and our attendant was very friendly,helpful, for a delightful scrambled egg and sausage breakfast...with the very best Sausage Gravy on biscuit we've had in our cross country trip....would recommend this Rice Lake accommodation as the place to stay for value, comfort, and kindness. Glad we chose to stay here.

Price is on the high side but it is a very place to stay. It is a convenient location for me since I drive back and forth between Geneva, IL and Ely, MN. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would sty here more often but you can't bring your dog.

We stay at this Inn regularly. It is always so clean and well maintained. There are wonderful fruits and treats in the lobby and a wonderful breakfast. Staff is friendly too. A person would be hard pressed to find a place any nicer than this place. Also, a small mall is just across the street and there is a supper club and a family restaurant both within walking distance. We highly recommend this Inn

No signage on the building and only a pedestal sign buried in the trees in front. Drove right past it ... empty parking lot as well. Found my way back. Waited 10 minutes for the desk clerk to wander back around the lobby. Checked in. Uneventful stay of 1 night. Typical dated, tired Best Western. In the morning, noticed only 4 cars in the parking lot. At least 2 of which were probably employees. No real complaints ... just a bit spooky. There are a number of motels in the area. One of which just opened. This BW seems barely alive.

I liked this hotel. I paid a little more and drove a little farther to stay here; as the wedding I was in had rooms blocked at a different place. After getting ready at the other hotel I was 100% happy with my decision!!! This hotel was very clean, welcoming, more updated, and near more amenities in town. My only negative I could really come up with is the bed was very hard- and that's just my opinion, my husband liked it. I would stay here again.

Everyone treated us like we were special. They took our bags to the room, always greeted us and asked if we needed anything. So nice to experience this, instead of the usual indifference. The accomodations were good, clean and comfy. The only negative is the chairs in the room are not conducive to watching tv.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this Best Western at it's not by accident! They really go out of their way to make you feel at home but there's nothing phony about it. this last night an employee came out to my car to greet me and to take my luggage in. I had an elderly friend with me who was just going to wait while I just checked in and got my things in my room and then we were leaving. They brought both of us a bottle of cold water and one of the employees kept her company while another accompanied me to my room with the rest of my things. My friend was amazed at the level of hospitality! They are that way throughout your entire stay. The breakfast room has a staff member in it constantly to make sure they don't run out of anything and it's kept constantly clean.

Every single person on the staff was excellent. Tom - the owner was outside greeting us as we returned from our work at a local industry. Can't say enough about the bar staff, the breakfast attendant and the individuals working check out / check in. Rooms very clean. Interior of building is showing it's age, however the staff more than make up for it.

The renovated hotel is very nice and our king suite was huge! What really makes this place special is the staff. Every staff member we met was friendly and couldn't do enough to be helpful - the matching shirts were a nice touch, making it easy to identify them. The breakfast had slightly fewer options than we are accustomed to but still more than adequate.

We have stayed at several other Best Western Motels but we like the Rice Lake location the best. Tom and his crew go over and above from greeting you on arrival to everything that you may request. The motel grounds, hallways, and rooms are always spotless. We have stayed at Rice Lake several times and will continue to stay there.

Very clean hotel with extremely professional and friendly staff. Some king rooms have refrigerators and microwaves while others do not. Not sure why. Breakfast presentation was very nice but average selection. More than enough staff on duty during breakfast. Great value for the rate we paid. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent facilities and breakfast for about $100.00. No pool, but a large quality whirlpool. Dollar for dollar this is one of the best Best westerns that we have experienced. Quiet with an excellent supper club next door.

This was our second time at this hotel. We selected it because we were in Rice Lake for a family reunion. Our room was on second floor. It was nicely decorated in a cabiny décor. Was disappointed that there was not a refrigerator in the room. There was plenty of space for one. That is the only reason I didn't give the hotel an excellent rating. It was over 90 degrees when we arrived. We had fluids with us that would have been nice to have cooled. The breakfast room was nicely arrayed with tables and bar stool seating Breakfast offering was typical for Best Westerns, certainly adequate. The reception staff were friendly. On check-in, the employee asked us if he could make us a reservation at the next-door restaurant. Since there are a number of chain restaurants very close to the hotel, we opted not to get a reservation.

I was at rice lake for business. I was looking for a nice hotel to stay and I found it with this hotel. The breakfast looks a lot like the holiday inn express if you know those hotels. The bathroom could have use a renovation, but very clean. They room have a INN style if you know what I mean and was very clean was well. I used the fitness room it is small, but functional.

The room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was efficient, pleasant, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, and a grocery store. It was easy to get to--right at the corner where two highways connect.

Rice Lak's a diamond Check in with Lori, a very polite and helpful person. Very clean hotel, from the outside and inside. Large room, very clean. Everything worked. Wifi fast if you need to work. Breakfast deserves special chapter. Several items to start the day,many itens. With the care of Corey a kind, helpful person. The housekeeping staff works hard to keep everything in order and always with a smile. The only thing that made me sad. I had to leave. Best customer service. Service and the best price in Rice Lake. First time here and found it to be a room of much higher value than what we paid. Clean, fully updated, very well maintained. Cozy little breakfast room with a very complete plan to get your morning started. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous and is definitely here to serve others. Can't wait to come back....thank you!

I stay at about 10-12 nights in hotels each month. This is the hotel that has had the best customer service ever out of all the hotels I stay at. Absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in my family.

Always friendly staff. Always. It's the only hotel in Rice Lake I'll stay in. The whole place is clean. Lobby, rooms, parking lot. All clean. I stay here a lot for work and they greet me by name when I arrive. Normally this doesn't get me too excited (I did make a reservation), but I feel their kindness is genuine.

First impressions - clean, airy, perfect condition and open friendly greeting. The room was the same - nothing ultra fancy, but great bed/linens, spotless floors, everything super tidy and nothing worn out or looking like the Happy Days era of furniture. Staff makes you feel right at home while being very professional in every encounter. Breakfast was great, on time, plentiful. Work out room equipment looks new, operates as new. Of course, clean as a whistle like the rest of the hotel. This team deserves ten stars.

Having never been to Rice Lake, I was very pleased to find the Best Western to be very clean with some of the nicest service staff I have encountered in a long time. My wife and I are Marriott fans and this equaled the service we receive at any Marriott we stay at. Highly recommended.

Best Western are my second favorite chain (Candlewoods being first) due to their character. The Hotel Staff here was exceptional and the suggestions for local food was spot on. Rice Lake is a small town and you will feel that but its also a very nice town. Just a couple of downsides. First being the internet in this hotel is not really up to par compared to other Best Western I've been too and also considering modern internet capabilities. I also was not too fond of the breakfast. The eggs were dry.

The place is rustic looking inside, the do not have an elevator to the second floor. My stay was good, my room was very cold when I arrived, turned the heat on and left, the hallway was cool also. This is a great location to get to restaurants, and close to the highway. Does not offer any move channels like HBO. Breakfast was typical, except they have someone dish out the scrabble eggs, sausage, biscuits, every thing else is self serve.

Best service I have ever had at a hotel. The people were genuinely caring and kind. Went to the hot tub with fifteen minutes to close and was welcomed in by night staff. I was awaiting a snarky remark or attitude since it was late, but I received the opposite. Check in was awesome, met every need/request of mine.

I really can't say enough about this gem. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but it looks clean and plain. The inside is what is exceptional. Exceptional, professional, accommodating staff. Exceptional room. . .large, super clean (you can walk barefoot on the carpet), chair and ottoman upholstery looked new. EVERYTHING worked. . .shower, sinks, tub--sparkled! Linens were good, bed spread was 'washable', mattress was great--very comfortable. TV worked. Remote worked. Internet worked. Breakfast was good--even home made scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Really, all hotels could take a lesson from how this hotel was run. Super place!

The Best Western Hotel in Rice Lake exceeded my expectations. The room was large, comfortable quite and well-appointed. The bathroom was also large and the shower head was placed higher than usual and had great water pressure, so I didn't have to crouch down to under the shower head to wash my hair. I also appreciated the hotel having a secure WI-FI connection, instead of the usual open one. At first I was concerned about staying in a room on the second floor, because there isn't an elevator on the property. However, my concerns were immediately addressed, because the staff on site handled all of our luggage and anything/everything we took to or from our room throughout our stay.

Thank you for the great stay, will for sure stay there again thank you and all the staff they were very helpful. Good location easy to get to off the freeway. Keep up the good work and will be back again.

One of the best hotels for the money I've ever stayed at. Cleanest by far. Great staff, very attentive and friendly. Fresh scrambled eggs for breakfast along with healthy alternatives, not just tons of carbs. Beds are very supportive ( good for my aching back!).

Good customer service. The sleeping rooms could use an upgrade with the wall decor, carpet, and bed covers. The beds aren't very comfortable and the pillows are hard. Spacious bathroom with good lighting and spacious closet. Decent selection of channels. They have complimentary breakfast which consists of making your own waffles, eggs, pastries, and juices. Also, the hotel has a small pool and fitness center. Good parking and location. Close to stores, gas stations, and Rice Lake Family restaurant that was a good place to eat at.

I found this hotel last year and I came to the area for work again this year for about a month and this was my choice hotel this year. Again the amazing employees at this hotel, excellent customer service. I have never stayed at a hotel where you get treated like Family in every aspect. The rooms excel beyond clean, breakfast is great. They even open the doors for you, carry your luggage, deliver your luggage. I give this a hotel a #1 in Rice Lake!! Building is pretty plain on outside, but room and facility were very nice. Room was big and comfortable. Bed was excellent. Breakfast was above average. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very Good choice

On a recent fall tour of Central Wisconsin, we spent a night at this best western Inn. We were greeted by the manager and our overnight stay continued to be a pleasant experience. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. We got some good tips on restaurants. Their own breakfast was above the standard of similar hotels. Would definitely stay again.

The Best Western in Rice Lake, Wisconsin is our favorite place to stay. Staff is outstanding, breakfast is very good, beds are comfortable, rooms are huge and everything is clean. All of the above and it's right next door to Lehman's Supper Club. This place is fantastic!

This was the second time I stayed at this Best Western. The first time I stayed there I was very impressed with how courteous and helpful the staff was and on this return visit they met my expectations. My room, as before, was exceptionally clean, as was the entire motel. Even though they serve a Continental Breakfast, there's also usually hot items such as scrambled,bacon or sausage and biscuits and gravy available. My one complaint is that only the higher priced rooms have a microwave and a mini-frig. I carry bottled water with me for hiking and have really become used to rooms with a mini-frig to keep the water cold.

This hotel is being updated and it looks great. The bed is comfy, room is very clean and the lounge is comfortable and inviting. There are several good restaurants across the road and the staff has great recommendations! Stay here for every business when in Rice Lake because of the above and the friendly staff!

Having stayed in lots of Best Westerns, the one thing that stood out about this hotel was the friendly staff. From the front desk to the person who served the breakfast, we were treated well. The room was spacious and nice. The breakfast was a nice variety of cold and hot items. The only thing I thought could use improvement were the sheets, which seemed old and not crisp. I'd definitely stay here again.

Better than expected, Best Western Inn's are always very good, but this one was a step above. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Observed staff members assisting elderly customers with luggage upon entry and assisting at the breakfast. The hotel was very clean and comfortable with easy access. Staff opened the front door upon entry and exit, without even asking. Would stay here again if traveling in this area. This location has 2 floors with no elevator, but staff offers to help with luggage.

This was a good BW for our trip, but note that it does not have an elevator so be sure to ask for 1st floor if you have any problems with stairs. Also, the breakfast has all of the usual items, but it is not a typical hot breakfast because they only offer breakfast sandwiches that you can warm up in the microwave.

The staff was very nice and friendly! They made me feel welcome as soon as I stepped foot in the door. The room itself was much larger than I was expecting (I had a King room), and the bed was very comfortable with an array of pillow choices. They have the "clean remote" in all the rooms which I really liked (you never know how dirty hotel room remotes are.. ugh). Everything about my 2 night stay for a friend's wedding was enjoyable and I truly appreciated the small town, kind feel that I experienced.

Our king room was great! Very large and extremely clean! Breakfast had many choices and the breakfast gal was very friendly. All employees were very friendly and wanting to help! It was a very pleasant place to spend the night!

While on our way to a different destination we have stayed overnight in Rice Lake, WI during mid August for about the last 8 years. We have stayed at other motels in Rice Lake and were never really pleased until we stayed at the Best Western. We have stayed at the Best Western for one night during our trip for the last 4 or 5 years. We keep returning to the Rice Lake Best Western due primarily to the fact that it is always spotlessly clean. In addition, the staff is very friendly and courteous. As is the case almost everywhere today, free wi-fi is available on the premises. There is also an indoor pool and work out room which we have never used but they look very inviting. Thought we usually have only a donut in the morning, the room in which they offer their "free breakfast" has more items available for guests than we have ever seen at any other motel anywhere. The "breakfast room" is large, nicely furnished and like the rest of the property very, very clean. The Rice Lake Best Western obviously treats it's staff very well due to the fact that over the past 4 or 5 years the staff has not changed. Upon check in we have always been greeted by the same "evening" person. There is a shift change very early in the morning and when we check-out the next day the "morning" person on duty is always the same as in years previous. I like the fact that they obviously treat their staff well. I/we highly recommend the Rice Lake, WI Best Western.

We were greeted with a bottle of water and USA Today at checkin. Room request was not noticed so gave us an upgrade suite!!! Extremely clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast had a waitress to help us!!!!! Think this is one of best value priced hotels stayed in! Nice restaurant next door (ask for coupon at desk)

We have been staying at this Inn for many years now. We travel from Illinois to Northern Minnesota at least 3 times a year and have been staying at this motel for a long time now. The motel is in a great location and is the cleanest motel we ever stay in. Very up to date. The location is wonderful. A great supper club within a short walking distance and a nice mall just across the highway. A great breakfast is provided also. You won't find any better in the City of Rice Lake.

The hotel staff is friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and lovely. Comfortable bed, outstanding water pressure in the shower, and a wonderful hot tub! The high-speed internet worked well and the food was delicious. Highly recommend and definitely will be back!

Our group was very impressed by the customer service of the staff and owner. We were on a motorcyle trip so only stayed one night. We were offered a cold bottle of water on arrival; rags to wipe down the bikes; coupons for an area dinner establishment. The room was clean. Enjoyed the microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator.

We are budget-minded travelers, and often stay in BW. This was seemed a bit nicer than some others that we've stayed in and was perfectly located for our remote travel in WI. We always appreciate the free breakfast from BW, so that we don't have to hunt for a place to eat before we get on our way.

I used to travel to Rice Lake a minimum of twice a year when my parents were alive ad often would stay with them as no one -- read restaurants -- could compete with Mom's cooking. In the last few years it was more convenient to stay at the Best Western to keep visits during the day to a shorter time frame and to sample the fare at the local restaurants to help the local economy. My stays were at any time of the year and I've always enjoyed a clean, quiet, warm room in the cooler months and cool rome in the summertime. All of the staff have been friendly and service outstanding. I expect to stay there again soon.

Never have we traveled to a place where we were greeted with such genuinely kind individuals. This is our second stay here, and once again, so happy with the staff and facility. Both times we were met at the door. Bottled water was provided for us during registration. Both times staff asked if they might help us with bringing in luggage. The place not only cleans rooms daily, but also does a 'deep clean' weekly! That's my kind of place to stay! Breakfast offers a wide array of options including lactose-free milk! Snacks are available for pickup throughout the afternoon/evening...also a daily paper. There is a small area for cocktails for purchase and popcorn during limited hours. To us, this is a hidden gem for folks traveling up north or returning home. A MUST STAY! :)

This is our second stay. We choose it for our second visit because it is very affordable, the staff are super friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. Our room had a frig, microwave and a small coffee maker. Our corner room was oversized and there was a sitting area with two chairs. There was also a desk with extra electrical outlets. The staff were super helpful in terms of where to find a good dinner spot and just all around pleasant people. I recommend this hotel. Again, nothing out of the ordinary, but a good solid choice.

Personal service is alive and well. From the opening of the door to the lobby by the owner, the sincere greeting at check-in, an ice cold bottle of water given to me at the counter and one delivered to my wife waiting in the car is real service. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.The cleaning staff was polite and well attired. Breakfast options are quite adequate with a waffle maker, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, cereal juices and great coffee. The breakfast area was clean from non-stop attention and restocking by the attendant. A great place and we will return

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable and they gave us a cold bottle of water at check in. There is also a very nice restaurant across the parking lot. I would stay here again.

Our stay was excellent at Best Western Inn, Rice Lake. Good location & easy to find. Staff were all personable & interested in making guests comfortable/ responding to our needs. Hotel & facilities were very clean . . . even a clean TV remote! After a good night's sleep & very complete breakfast, we stayed longer to visit the Rice Lake area and finished with a lunch at the Norske Nook restaurant nearby. The hotel allows great access to hiking, biking, and/or kayaking!

We were impressed with the friendly staff. They even looked up the movie schedule for the local theater for us. Our room was quiet, well maintained and clean. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend the Best Western Inn to family and friends.

They always make you feel like a VIP. Whether you are staying 1night or a week. Personal service is their game. Clean comfortable rooms. A cooked to order breakfast. The only "down" side is they don't have a pool. But for me that's no big deal. A shout out the the front desk staff & Jennifer my room attendant. Plus the young man cooking those eggs in the morning. Next time I'm up in the area I will stay at your hotel.

Greeted with a quickly finished check-in and a cold bottle of water. The room was spotless and updated. The manager actually served the hot breakfast choices in the dining room and the front desk person volunteered to help us get our luggage to our car in the morning. This is a great place to stay! This hotel is the best we have ever stayed in. Exceptionally clean. The entire place inside and out was tidy and well kept. Looked brand new even though it is 36 years old. The breakfast was good and a coffee maker in the room was nice. The whirlpool was the best I have ever used in a hotel. The water was hot, deep enough to cover my shoulders and the jets were powerful. Would recommend to everyone.

Stayed there while my parents visited. Always love the old fashioned way they treat you. Bottle of water, newspaper, offer to carry luggage. It's great. We have most of the plant visitors stay here because it makes a great impression on them of the area.

I got to the Best Western Inn after a very long day of driving and a family reunion and I was BEAT! Walked into a clean lobby, check in was quick, efficient, and I was on my way to a wonderfully clean and comfy room. I was totally impressed. I don't remember having a better nights sleep in a hotel room. I always trust Best Western hotels to be good but this one is fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to visit this one again! Oh, the breakfast bar was wonderful, too. YUM!

I had an associate stay at the hotel for 7 days and he was very pleased with the hotel and the service provided. It's close to restaurants and great for a nights sleep. He loved the atmosphere and breakfast was very convenient for him.

ALL staff (door men, desk help, house cleaners, breakfast help) were obviously trained in customer service and courtesy. This was displayed much more than usual (or expected) for a Best Western hotel.

The service was excellent, we even got a cold bottle of water when we arrived, who does that? The room was quiet and clean. Older hotel but well built and very well maintained. Hot tub was very nice and clean. Staff offered to help me with my bags but I declined. It was probably the nicest hotel I have stayed in a long time and definitely will return.

We stayed at the Best Western twice in ten days. Both times the room was exceptionally clean, quiet, and nicely appointed. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Good coffee. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. One of the gals even offered to help carry the luggage to the room.

Staff was very nice. Room is clean and spacious. Security systems on the outer doors seem a little dated, but the beds were comfortable and clean. Very good place to sleep. Parking is a bit strange, and access to the lot is not well marked from the street. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but there was no lacking coffee :)

It was a trip to relax and do a little gambling at several area casinos. Hotel was very clean and quiet. With babysitting my baby granddaughter, a little R&R was in order. Enjoyed my stay and would come back again.

My husband and I were recently in Rice Lake for a conference, and stayed at the Best Western for three nights. We found the staff very welcoming, and very helpful during our stay. The hotel was very clean. And , while we did not partake of the complimentary breakfast, we really appreciated the tea and fruit available 24/7.

Immaculately kept, very friendly and helpful staff and a good breakfast bar with waffles, donuts, cereals, juices, breads. Have stayed here many times and have always been greatly satisfied. There is a hot tub for cold winter days, a small workout room and the Best Western is close to amenities.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel because I was in Rice Lake to exhibit at a conference that was taking place at the local technical college. The staff at check in was very professional and helpful. Unfortunately we learned my wife's brother had suffered a life threatening medical emergency and we needed to leave to go be with him. The staff was incredibly caring and accommodating of our need to check out early.

I always stay at this motel when in this part of Wisconsin. The owner always greets you at the door, thanks you for your business and makes you feel like a VIP. The value is one of the best parts of the stay. I wish all of my business stays were this good.

This is my preferred lodging for Rice Lake. While there are not a lot of fancy options in the vicinity, I have continued to return to the Best Western. I always feel welcomed and comfortable there. It has a cozy family feel. The staff is service oriented and there is an overall good vibe.

While staying at this hotel, we were both a little under the weather, so could have been overly critical and sensitive, but we had a completely positive experience. Our room was spotlessly cleaned, didn't hear a peep out of other guests, and slept soundly through the night. We enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning, and the staff were right on top of lending a hand when needed, and going above and beyond the call of duty in keeping the guests taken care of.

I stayed here for the night while attending a church music retreat and from the phone call to book a room to check in to check out, the people here are the best! When I called to book a room, there were a block of rooms set aside for our retreat but as I need a handicapped accessible room, they accommodated me! When I pulled in to check in, I was met by the door by a young man who saw I was on crutches and immediately asked if he could help. He carried my bags to my room and offered help to even put them in the room. As left for the evening, they wished is well and told us to enjoy our evening. I asked about a vending machine upon my return that night and the desk person even offered to carry my sofa to the room! Checkout was just as pleasant with more help offered! I will recommend this hotel to all family and friends!!

The whole hotel is super clean. They don't have a pool, but they have a nice indoor whirlpool! They have a small bar open in the evenings! It's close to the highway and local shopping. All around great experience!

We recently stayed here and we made the best choice. The staff was so helpful, friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay - customer service at its finest! The hot tub was a pleasant surprise and the hot tub room was cozy and clean. The room was very clean and bed was very comfy. The breakfast was everything you could want and meets all tastes. If we should plan a stay again in Rice Lake, we know exactly where we will be staying!

Great property, clean, updated, very nice! The best part of the experience was the staff. Every person we encountered was nicer and more accommodating that the first. In the world today where people CARE less and less it was refreshing and oh so pleasant to be treated so wonderfully! We will be back and we will be certain to tell everyone we know where to stay when in the area!

Very friendly, helpful front desk service. On my check in and upon checkout they asked me if I needed help with my bags. I said "no" but should have taken them up on it. They do not have an elevator but the great staff, cleanliness, and convenience of this hotel would bring me back.

Stayed for business one night on a weeknight. Arrived late and was greeted with a friendly smile. Convenient location. Quick check-in and easy check-out. Room was clean, modern decor, typical Best Western features. The bed was a bit firmer than I like but I slept fine. Met my '1st Floor' room request without having to be reminded. Accepted 'state govt' rate. Warm, welcoming lobby. Nice hot breakfast. I didn't use the hotel bar but it looked nice. Overall very satisfied.

Friendly, clean place to stay. Several close-by restaurants to choose from for dinner. Nice breakfast buffet offered in the morning. The price is right for a good night's sleep if passing through Rice Lake!

The hotel is very clean, helpful and enjoyed breakfast during the week. This location has exercise room and purchased beverages in the evening. Check in and out was great and staff is very helpful. It is close to many restaurants in town. I liked the quite location also. Only negative is no pool.

Amazing hotel - we were greeted upon arrival and check in went smoothly. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and again staff was great. Would definitely return next time I am in Rice Lake.

The staff at this hotel are wonderful. They meet you at the door with a smile and bottle of water. The lounge and breakfast service is outstanding. The staff recommend great restaurants. I always stay here when in town.

I have stayed in Rice Lake for Business for an extended period of time. The customer service is amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel I give a 5 star. The breakfast is very good and good choices. This property would be my choice when coming to Rice Lake again. I have stayed at the Americ Inn previously at this hotel puts the Americ Inn to shame when it comes to customer service and cleanliness of the hotel.

Generally overall satisfied with the hotel. It was clean and staff was friendly. The internet signal did not reach our room. I reported it and the staff was apologetic but did not fix the problem. Breakfast was above average for a continental breakfast.

This is not a brand new hotel but they have taken into account the numerous media devices now in use and have provided lots of outlets in the room. They also provide two luggage racks - not often found in a room but much appreciated!

Stayed here several times. Most recently as we transitioned from our duplex to our house. They opened up the bar and turned on the TV just for us as we were relaxing finally after the move. Very nice and friendly.

The owner and manager greeted us upon arrival, offered cold bottled water and helped with luggage etc. They truly went out of their way to make us welcomed and gave us a suggestion on where to have dinner that was outstanding. Stayed in the jacuzzi suite that was so nice, clean and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Wished we had more time to extend our restful stay!

When I'm in Rice Lake, this really is the only place I like to stay. The staff are great, always helpful and courteous. As a tall person, I appreciate that the shower head is high enough for me to get under, and that the shower curtain rod is curved away from the tub so the curtain doesn't cling to you as you're showering.

This place never ceases to please, as I have stayed here more than once. This time I wasn't totally please with my room. Not only did they change my room but helped move my stuff. The staff is always helpful and cheery. (And the boss wasn't even in town)

This was a decent place to stay. Although we encountered a low carport on arrival with our tall vehicle and trailer, BEWARE. The room appeared pretty clean but there was a spider in the tub :/ No microwave or fridge, but a "clean remote" and soaps, shampoos, n coffee (and maker) galore : ) Iron and flat screen were also appreciated. I loved the continental breakfast. Beds were ok, a lil stiff for my taste, but pillows galore : ) over all, a decent stay. Wish i had time for the hot tub...

I usually stay at this hotel when I am in Rice Lake. I have also stayed in two others when in town, but the Best Western provides the best value. The hotel has always been clean and quiet. The outside of the building looks a little old, but inside, the rooms seemed recently updated.

Checked with other area hotels on our way into town, came across the Best Western Inn and they had the best rates. This hotel is clean, modern, and had all bases covered for comfort! Also got a cold bottle of water when we checked in, was a very nice touch. They had a free breakfast. Check out was done during the night and our receipt was slid under the door so all we had to do was leave in the morning. Would recommend this hotel over the more expensive hotels that were nearly twice the price.
