Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn

Clean, nicely renovated room with comfy beds. Good hotel breakfast in the restaurant. Glad that there was hotel security keeping an eye on the property overnight. Only downside was that the room felt a little overpriced for this type of hotel.

Just what the title says. Excellent stay. Helpful staff. Nice restaurant and bar. Grounds are clean and lit up. Walking distance to many restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to my visiting relatives for a pleasant stay!

Quiet,clean property. Had read a few reviews that were negative but was a long day driving and decided to stay there anyway. Found it to be a great place to stay. Nice pool and hot tub. Great Breakfast. Would stay there again

Good hotel. Great staff and comfy bed. Breakfast was great too. The only weird thing was they've taken the microwave ovens out of the rooms and replaced them with a small safe. If you want to warm up your dinner, you have to take it to the office where you'll find a small dirty microwave The guy at the desk told me it was because all the wiring is so old. But wait a minute ..... how long are you going to nuke something? 30 seconds?

Best value, top notch service and the restaurant is some of the best food I've had in a long time. We came here to go to the lights display at Turtle Bay. Online it seemed the best value and not too cheap but not too expensive. All I can say is, “wow”. The staff and environment really made our weekend. We are definitely going to make a tradition of this every year and I think it'll be a great date weekend too.

Newly renovated . Quiet and has on property restaurant. Beds and pillows are fantastic! Will stay here again. Conveniently located off I-5 . TV has easy to use guide and channels unlike some properties.

Apparently the ELECTRIC CAR PLUGINS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE HANDICAPPED. I was also deceived by reservations who made me think it was right next to Mt. Shasta when it's actually another hour away. Overpriced room for average clean room.

I've been in the hotel business for 45 years, having owned 5 different hotels and staying in well over 1,000 hotels during my consulting career. The team members and service here are exceptional - one of the best I've ever seen. Chris C. at the front desk greeted us with an enthusiastic smile and attitude. He's the one who sold us on the idea of going to CR Gibbs for dinner. Thankfully! Adam was a great service, again with an enthusiastic smile and attitude. Hard worker too. Emily at breakfast was the same. Highly recommend staying here.

This BW is close to downtown and the freeway. The facility is clean and up to date. The restaurant and bar are both frequented by guest and locals. Fun and entertaining place to stay. We will be returning on our next visit to the area.

I like that the rooms are accessed from the outside and that there is an adjacent restaurant. Also that it was pet-friendly and that the toilet was tall enough for semi-handicapped even though there wasn't an "accessible" room available.

Stopped here on the way home to Oregon from Disneyland. Stopped here on the way to Disneyland also. Beds were comfortable and the room spacious enough for the overnight. Up early with good breakfast and on the road.

Everything was so clean and in place. Loved this hotel and can't wait to go back. The hospitality was fabulous. The breakfast food was fresh and warm every morning. The juice was to die for. Fresh orange juice in the morning with breakfast is a game changer. The pool was nice and clean and enjoyable.

Consider staying at the Best Western Hilltop. Staying at the Hilltop for years mainly due to their stable staff, excellent Bistro like Restaurant, and on site security. Safety of car and myself are important. Upgraded rooms are mod, pleasurable and comfortable.

This was a pretty good stay with minor inconveniences. I was traveling with my 83 year old mother. We were given a room at the back of the facility facing the freeway, on the second floor. I asked about an elevator and, luckily, there was one. But the walk to our room from the elevator was still pretty long. And the walk to breakfast the next morning wore her out. We were as far from the front of the hotel as it was possible to be. Also, the body wash in the shower was empty, which was inconvenient since it meant I had to get out and get soap after I was already wet.I think the freeway noise was reasonably well muffled by the windows and soundproofing. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices. If I stay again, I would definitely ask for a room closer to the front of the building, and possibly on the ground floor. The facility was not nearly full when we were there. There was no good reason to out us in such an inconvenient location.

We had a good stay at this location room was nice and clean and thankfully the AC was working as it was 96° here! The main downside was only one elevator at the opposite end of where our room was. The breakfast spread and the restaurant next-door was great. Nice hot selection of food.

Best Western platinum members. This is the worst BW plus hotel we have tried to stay in. Old, to me it is a motel not a hotel as all roots have outside doors. No insulation between rooms and floors very loud. Pool not heated, hot tub Luke warm. Megan at the front desk would not stop a child from running around the floor above us, said she could not do anything and told us to leave we did. Went next door to a very nice hotel, clean modern, quiet. We will be rethinking our relationship with Best Western if they allow such a poor hotel (Motel) to use their name. Lots of nice hotels in Reeding go somewhere else.

This facility covers off all the expectations for a BW facility. From the cleanliness of the room to the competence of the desk clerk at registration and the limited interchange with other staff I was completely satisfied with the site.

This is my second time staying at the BW Plus Hilltop Inn and will stay again when in the area. The hotel is centrally located to shopping, restaurants, medical, etc. Very clean and upgraded rooms. The hotel grounds are well maintained and clean. It is very nice to have a great restaurant on site. One can imbibe in an adult beverage and have a great meal without leaving the property. Some rooms might have issues with freeway noise, but for us it was fine once we were in our room. Staff is super helpful, friendly, and professional. Another great stay, thanks!

The Hotel room was Clean and the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good with lots of choices and the staff was very friendly during both check-in and check-out. We will definitely stay here again!

The morning front desk person was extremely helpful when we thought we had left our cellphone in the room. We thought we had left the phone after driving 1 1/2 hours into our trip. The front desk person, Luanna, immediately had the room checked. When no phone was found, she volunteered to check it herself. Then, we found the phone stuck between the seat and the console with the ringer off. We called back to the hotel and told her. Her willingness to go above and beyond was very much appreciated. She is a true asset to the hotel and an outstanding employee.

Hotel and room were clean and employees were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Traveled with a cat and no issues encountered. Excellent Breakfast options included in hotel stay. Highly recommend Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn.

Fantastic gem lodge in a great setting; nice clean room, comfy and clean bed, great tv setup to use our fire stick, adjoining restaurant was fantastic with great food and good value. Overall, the best place on our journey.

11-13-2022 Front desk staff was very friendly, Very easy and painless process of getting my room, the Hot Tub was hot, and there were towels at the pool area and I was there at 8:00pm with my Wife! My Room faced the freeway which I liked as I was driving a 26 foot moving truck and I was towing a classic car. ***The breakfast in the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel, If I ever go through redding again I will absolutely stay at the Best Western Plus on Hilltop. They have good service good rooms a pool hot tub and a gym, and supreme breakfast!

The staff is great, and the restaurant is wonderful. But the rooms are very noisy and lack a microwave. The windows need to be updated as you can hear everything. The blow dry was a little dirty and kept sucking up my hair, They could use new ones

Great Location !!. The staff are all so very friendly and helpful. I checked in at 3am and the Front office person was very alert, LOL !! and so friendly at that time of the morning. She made sure the room was clean ahead of time and got me going very quickly so I was able to get needed sleep. The room was very clean and accommodating as well as comfortable. Morning breakfast was good and the staff was so friendly. This is the second time staying at this location and both times were great experiences. When visiting family in Redding this will be my go to place. Thank you !! Kevin.

We came to Redding for a soccer tournament and most of our team stayed here. The kids loved the heated pool and swam a lot, even though it was the end of October! The free breakfast was great and made it so easy with the early morning soccer games. It was close to a lot of food options for dinner and easy access to the highway. The rooms on the highway side have some road noise, but the room was surprisingly quiet once the doors were closed and it didn't keep us up at night.

Excellent stay. Check in was great, greeted and welcomed. This was a very clean place and well taken care of. My room was great, very clean and orderly. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant has great food and service. I would recommend staying here.

Iftraveling through or staying for a few days Best Western Hilltop has all the comfort of home with great amenities. The staff is welcoming, the room is clean and comfortable and the restaurant makes the stay all the nicer.

I always enjoy staying at this motel. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Another big plus is having dinner at the hotel...the fish and chips is outstanding. Redding is a great stop when traveling from southern California to Oregon.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel room and grounds were very clean a d well kept. The pool/spa area was always kept clean and towels were always stocked. The pool and spa itself was very clean and appealing. The breakfast was delicious and there was a fantastic selection of hot and cold. The hotel was centrally located to shopping, recreation and various other ways to enjoy your day. I would highly recommend this Best Western to anyone who stays in Redding, CA.

Checkin was easy and done by pleasant front desk personnel. The hotel rooms and common areas and outside hallways are all impressively well kept up. Things looked new all around. There's a nice restaurant attached that serves delicious food that you would find typically only in big cities. The hotel and restaurant were mobbed and appeared to be completely full on a recent Friday night which I take to be a good sign. The room was very quiet overnight. Will definitely recommend to friends and work associates.

Needed a good place to stay in Redding on our way back to L.A. I have stayed in a bunch of places in Redding and we are only staying here from now on.. Everything was clean and nice.. Wish I had more time to dip in the pool..

My husband and I stay here 2 different nights as we were traveling to Oregon. The staff is terrific and very professional, polite and very clean! The restaurant's food was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel.

While this is not a fancy hotel, the staff and their service level is top notch. There was constant cleaning of common areas, the pool area was clean and inviting, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The adjoining restaurant has very good food. This will be our go to hotel in Redding.

We were on a week long motorcycle trip. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The restaurant was very nice and updated from when I was a kid and worked there. (Back when it was Rodeway Inn and Elegant Bull Restaurant). I had the French dip for dinner, but couldn't eat it all, so I took the leftovers to eat later in the room. Later that evening I went to warm up my sandwich and there was no microwave in there. They said it was because the building was over 50 years old. Oh gee whiz....then bring it up to code. We trust our sleepy nights to the safety of your building. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times while visiting relatives. Great staff, easy check-in, super clean and comfy rooms. We especially enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar. Would definitely recommend.

We've stayed at this hotel multiple times with our car club. The last several years they have been updating the place. This time it wasn't too bad. The rooms are clean with a nice bathroom with lots of counter space. The breakfast is always pretty good, especially compared to other BW. The gal checking us in had no personality and wasn't friendly. We had a very large group, but she was terrible. My only complaint this time around is that I left a pair of prescription glasses in the room. I didn't noticed it until the next night at the next hotel. When I went into my bag, they weren't there. I immediately called the hotel and asked them to look for it. I told them the room # and the 2 places they'd be. I remember my bag tipping over, and thought, I hope nothing fell out. My mistake for not looking. The glass case is black and the carpet was dark too. They said they didn't have them and they'd go look. They never got back to me so I called again at the next location. Again, they said they didn't have them. These glasses are expensive and I know they are there. I really don't think anyone personally went in to look. Very disappointed that this happened. If you stay in room 105, please look around for a black eyeglass case!

The facility has a great location, was very clean and updated rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all questions and concerns. Great selection for breakfast food with the implementation of very good cleaning protocols. Will stay here again!

Last time we stayed here was fall 2019. It was great back then and even better now. The room we stayed in had been renovated and they're working on new landscaping around the pool along with planting some herbs. It looks great!

The hotel is too close to Fwy5. Unfortunately we got a room facing the freeway. The traffic noise was so bad that I couldn't sleep almost the whole night. I had to plug my ears with AirPods and leave music on all night to cancel out the noise. Making things worse, the AC/Heating unit was also very loud. I was feeling somewhat miserable in the morning.

We spent the night at this hotel during our road trip home from Palm Springs. Very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Room was very comfortable. Attached restaurant was also very good. We enjoyed visiting the local park which had nice walking trails, a pedestrian bridge across the river and a botanical garden. Lovely stay.

We have stayed at this hotel in Redding several times. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good - lots to choose from. The room (247), however, was way in the back (?), dark, cramped with an AC unit that didn't work very well. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. We have never said in this section before and if we go back, I'll ask to be in another area. We chose to stay here mainly for the restaurant, CR Gibbs which is in the hotel. We like that so we don't have to get back in the car after a long day of driving and don't have to worry about drinking and driving! The food and drink are always good.

Business trip made easy! The amazing staff they have here make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and bar at G.R. Gibbs. great food and incredible staff. they also have multiple screens to watch the game.

This is a very nice place to stay after a long day on the road. Beds are comfortable, rooms are quiet and restaurant is very good. We enjoyed both dinner and complimentary breakfast buffet. We have stayed at the Best Western Hilltop many times and look forward to future visits.

The people were great, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was the location of my room. I had started in Virginia at 4am ET, flying cross country for 7 hours (with a layover) to Sacramento. Then I drove 2.5 hours to Redding for a business dinner meeting. One could understand that by 8pm that night, I was very tired. My room was near the elevator so anyone coming to my floor had to walk past my room on the outside cement walkway. The laundry room for guests was across from my door. And then the skateboarders started on the cement walkway. I realize 8:30pm is a bit early for people to be aware that some are trying to sleep and the front desk stopped the skateboarders when I called down. When checking out, I tried to offer feedback and mentioned to the front desk that when East Coast guests arrive, they should avoid assigning my room to them due to the high traffic pattern outside the door. Here is where they could have done better as his response was "Next time you come, tell us not to give you that room." How was I to know that??? Not the best answer. Perhaps, "I'm so sorry and here's a bottle of water for your ride back to Sacramento." Other than that - great stay and the complementary breakfast in the restaurant next door is also very good.

The room was small without a microwave. Breakfast was dried out and overcooked. There is a restaurant on site which was nice after a long day of driving. It was easy to get on and off the interstate. Probably won't use again.

While we only spent one night, it would be easy to spend several nights at the BW Hilltop in Redding, CA. We on-site EV charging, clean and easy-to-use laundry service, and family-friendly pool features...this is a motel above the rest. The staff was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The free breakfast feature fresh cooked foods, ample quantities, and efficient wait-staff.

Everything was great, except for the noise late at night and very early in the morning. The quality of the rooms is far below the rest of the amenities. I asked if there were other types of rooms, but they told me that all of them were more o less the same. I would gladly come back if there were more "peaceful" rooms.

Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn Redding Over charged me check statements 832323499 I would never stay here again they charged me for a pillow and pillow case I brought my own pillows why would I take their pillows !! They did nothing to fix this problem check your statements !!!!!!!

This is undoubtedly the best hotel value of the in the entire north state. I've been staying there every time I travel to Redding to go fishing on the Sacramento River or stopping over to fish the Fall River outside of McArthur.. The hotel staff is great. The hotel accommodations are most excellent in all respects. The complimentary breakfast is exceptional and a great value. The restaurant and bar rival any comparable quality restaurant and bar in the state. Can't say enough good things about this place

We were headed home but the snow was getting worse. We decided to stay in Redding for the night. It was a warm and comfortable stay!! Highly recommended. They did not complain that we had our very large dog with us and she loved the room as much as we did!!!

Everything was great in our whole 3-night stay. The breakfast was the best we've had in years, all high quality, fresh and tasty. Cleanliness was impeccable; room furnishings and finishes were in excellent condition.

We're Best Western rewards members and only will stay at their hotels because we know just how clean and comfortable they are. We travel with our fur children and love that they are welcome in your hotels. Our girl Leeloo was even in a photo shoot in one of your pet friendly rooms.

We highly recommend this location! Rooms are great, parking was ideal, and the restaurant on site had fabulous food! We enjoyed dinner, and complimentary hot breakfast the next morning. Staff was friendly across the board. This will be a planned stop on my next west coast drive.

We have stayed at the Redding Best Western Plus numerous times over the past 10 years. Staff is always friendly, courteous & professional. Restaurant same. Great food! Rooms always clean. Will stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered my courtyard room at this property. The rooms in this area of the hotel have been newly renovated. Gone are the old tired carpets and faux wood floors are now in place. New bathrooms and fixtures are a welcome update. The beds are new and comfortable. The rooms have a larger feel with tis renovation. The restaurant lounge area was packed and lively. Excellent service and very good food.. All around great stay and I highly recommend this hotel if your in the area.

Nice enough place... front desk was unremarkable but did their job. TV remote only worked after you manually turned on the TV, but front desk doesn't tell you this. Heater didn't work, had to re be re-booted multiple times and it was cold that night into the 30s!

We were attending an event and needed a room for one night. Chose this hotel based on the reviews and so glad we did! The check-in staff was very friendly and efficient and the rooms were great ... so clean! And the bed was really comfortable. We were really impressed and will definitely return if we are in the area again. Already recommended to someone going to Redding next week.

The receptionist (Matt) calmly made a 4 minute phone call before turning to me without any apology. No welcome as a Best Western Diamond Select member. Then he wouldn't check me in at 2:55 PM because my room wouldn't be ready for 20 min. It should also be noted that the actual check-in at 3:15 PM then took almost 25 minutes and thus would have easily bridged the original time until the room was ready. But US-Americans in basic employment relationships have never been known for pronounced flexibility. When I made the reservation, I asked for a quiet room in the comments field. I got a room right next to the elevator and a swinging steel staircase. This also speaks for the appreciation of loyal elite members. Of course, accommodating a coach full of high school students is more important, who made enormous noise in the evening. I didn't even bring up the upgrade I was actually entitled to. But they didn't want to cancel the reservation either - my money was welcome, but guest satisfaction is not a priority. In contrast to other hotel chains, there is no claimable satisfaction guarantee at Best Western. The house itself is located on a busy street, it is somewhat old-fashioned and not particularly well maintained. The good ratings - I was in this house twice before in the past 20 years - do not make sense to me, unless they have - as usual nowadays - "helped" to get them. In the immediate vicinity there is a Holiday Inn Express and a Hampton Inn, which offer significantly more for the money. There are also other hotels, but I haven't stayed there yet. In direct comparison, the Best Western charges excessive prices anyway, and the classification as BW Plus is not justified in my opinion. After 10 different hotels on my US round trip this year, the Hilltop Inn is the most expensive (191 USD) and at the same time the worst hotel. When I checked out, I was of course not asked if I was satisfied. Why should they? Nobody is interested in guest satisfaction at BW Hilltop anyway. For dinner, I recommend the excellent Kettleman's Steakhouse, which is within walking distance of all the hotels mentioned. I can't recommend the CR Gibbs Restaurant, which is somewhat part of the Best Western, for dinner. The Best Western hotel breakfast is served there, modest standard though. About the room: The carpet from the door to the wash area has an overly obvious run, which looks very dingy. The mattress was very soft, just the way I and my spine like it. The TV is reluctant to respond to the remote. The TV itself is up to snuff at an estimated 50". Unfortunately, subtitles (CC) cannot be turned on. Some channels could not be selected on the TV, but were listed in the electronic program guide, e.g. National Geographic or Food Network, which is annoying if you have chosen these programs when scrolling through the EPG. The next morning, when I turned the TV slightly towards the desk, all channels dropped out. I didn't feel like searching for the loose connection. The coffee machine is a Nespresso-like good Keurig, unfortunately not with the original Keurig coffee, but with cheap no-name capsules. From the hotel then came the usual hypocritical excuse, how important my opinion is and what I am for a valued guest they do not want to lose. Well - but for that they did a 100% job. Recommendation: Book the Hampton a few meters away (with Hilton satisfaction guarantee)!

The house keeping does a great job with the cleanliness and customer care when I asked for supplies they made sure I had them before I returned to my room. Great attitude enjoyed my stay at this location as usual. Staff very inviting and on the spot to assist if there is an issue. I recommend this location to anyone1

Barking dog in the next room. Broken sleep. I could here every word spoken and they weren't even speaking loudly. Good breakfast though. Nice variety. Staff friendly but shouldn't have put us next to a room with a dog. This was the first “Plus” I have stayed at that I would never go back to.

I had 2 flights canceled. I called the hotel to make sure they knew I was still arriving. When I did arrive the next day by 3:30 management canceled my room. Prices were high to re book. And the pool or hot tub wasn't working which would have been nice to know for my kids sake after a tremendous detour and many let downs in our “vacation” we planned months before.

The pet friendly rooms were clean and placed at the back of the hotel, which faced the freeway. The freeway noise was very minimal, and the frig & A/C were very quiet. The biggest gripe was that upon check in, they provide an info sheet for pet owners - and one of the disclaimers was that if your room gets 2 noise complaints, then you will be asked to leave the hotel. That freaked us out, but we kept our birds quiet. Additionally, they had 2 Tesla EV charging stations, but none of the non-Tesla chargers - so we couldn't charge our Prius Prime.

This Best Western was a good value for the price. The room was updated and clean, and everyone was very friendly! The pool was also clean, and breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay here again, if I'm in the area.

Clean room,attentive staff, free parking,wifi and breakfast. We had an issue with the first room offered. Without hesitation we were given a different much nicer room. Excellent customer service! Will stay there again.

I have been coming to the Best Western Plus in Redding, CA. for most of my summer. Exceptional service and breakfast options. Quite satisfying and comfortable to be able to relax to a clean room and other amenities the hotel offers.

My family stayed here on our way to and from Seattle on a road trip. It's a good hotel, clean, with external room access facing the lot. The lot was patrolled/had security, and it seemed in a relatively nice area of town. It was easy to get to the Sundial Bridge. For the Covid cautious/paranoid: The rooms have external air conditioning units. There is no fan in the bathroom. We had a connecting room on the way back (not deliberately), and the connecting door to the other room had some damage around the edges/wasn't airtight (we sealed it with duct tape). They leave on the air conditioning units, so the rooms do get aired out. You can request an earlier check in date if you want maximum time between occupying the room and when it was last used/cleaned , and they will text you when your room is ready, so you know more precisely when it was cleaned.

We only stopped here for one night but the hotel is nice and the rooms are updated- it even have a Keurig in the room. Excellent breakfast, great coffee. That's a little bit of freeway noise but still a good overnight stay. We got takeout from the restaurant- very good meal!

Amazing staff and service, thanks very much! Everyone from the security guard, person who checked us in and person who checked us out were very helpful. We were travelling with two full cars, a trailer and motorcycles and felt like our belongings were very safe and secure.

Clean hotel. We had a room on the backside and it was next to the freeway so some noise from that. Fast check in. No problems during our stay. Breakfast was a buffet in the restaurant next door and better than most offerings these days. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was good too.

Exceptional staff, facilities, and an on-site restaurant. Everyone from the reception desk, restaurant, lounge were all very professional and made my stay a wonderful experience. Ask to sit in Antonia's section in the restaurant if you want someone who provides top shelf service. Overall one of the best experiences while traveling.

We stayed here en route to see family. Despite 24-hour security and cameras, we had bikes stolen atop our vehicle. They were locked. The police came and told us that this hotel (and others nearby) are hosting “unsavory characters” as a result of COVID. He said they respond to theft reports constantly and drug use was common. He believed it was likely that thefts are down by other guests of the hotel. Front desk seemed unphased when we first reported the theft.

Out of all my hotel stays, this was by far the best! Cleanest, most comfortable room by far! Even the free breakfasts given in containers due to Covid, was delicious! Bacon, eggs, potatoes, and French toast, served fresh and hot! I will always stay at this hotel on my trips to Ca. Your other BEST WESTERN PLUS's need to follow this example! Thanks for the friendly service from the moment I walked in!

Everyone at the Hilltop Inn is fantastic. The amenities are great, but the people make the experience. Even when I had trouble with my trip dates (my fault), they honored the price point and found me a room. Cleaning staff is wonderful, the site is very clean even with remodels ongoing (which are great, too, by the way). CR Gibbs is an excellent restaurant for all meals, including the breakfast service each morning, the pool is clean and delightful in the Redding heat, and rooms are fantastic. Definitely stay here when you're in town!

The hotel was both clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel was easy to find and just around the corner from Interstate 5. Great location. Came with breakfast included. Good choice of hot or cold food. Bar and grill right next door.

This hotel is your basic highway motel, no extra bells and whistles. It's sufficient for a day or two, as a stop over place, or a place to crash. Although the fixtures have obviously been cleaned, the room and building itself are very dated. There's security constantly patrolling the parking area, which made me feel both secured and scared at the same time. The location, in terms of accessibility is great, however, I feel that it's in a shady-looking part of town. The restaurant offers great modern bar food. The hot to-go breakfast was also great. Over-all, you do get what you pay for. I was just expecting more based on the raving reviews online. Realistically, it's a basic 2-star hotel/motel.

I was guiding for a trinity alps group so we had 4 rooms booked. Everyone enjoyed their room. We stayed one nite but had to leave fairly early so they were nice enough to put a goodie bag together for us since we were going to miss breakfast. They are probably the only property that has an award winning restaurant on its premises. Not part of of Best Western but so good that we went back and ate at it on the way home. Owner and employees at Best Western were very polite and welcoming both on phone and in person.

I was traveling through Redding on my way to Sacramento when I decided to spend the night. It was midnight. The front desk clerk was friendly and fast. The bed and pillows were wonderful! The breakfast was served in to-go containers and was well prepared. I was out by 10 the next morning, rested and ready to hit the road.

My mother would up being hospitalized on our way home from a trip. Staff was so sweet and helpful. Nice place to relax while dealing with a stressful situation. Nice rooms, relaxing pool, calming fountain outside our room!

We were assigned Room 237 in this hotel. In general, I would say that the hotel has seen better days, and Room 237 must be at the bottom of a long list of so-so (or worse) rooms in the hotel. The room is located in a covered and dimly lit passageway between wings of one of the hotel's buildings, right in front of the laundry and ice maker. The lack of adequate daylight evokes the feeling like you're staying under a bridge. In addition, the room's only window faces the laundry room and ice maker, both of which are noisy and frequented by loud guests in all hours of the day and night. The blankets in the room are so thin that you are forced to keep the heating on when the temperature outside is around 40-50 F. However, the heating/air conditioning unit is as loud as a lawn mower, making it impossible to sleep when the unit is running. Best Western "Plus" either needs to service the unit properly or replace it. The mattress slopes to one side. Overall this particular room is cramped with little room to maneuver. I would strongly suggest avoiding room 237 (and possibly adjacent rooms) if you wish to avoid feeling like you're staying underneath a highway overpass, all the while paying a steep price as a "BW Gold Member" for this privilege.

This is a very nice property. The entire place is clean and attractive with a dining option on-sight, which is something I value so I don't have to go looking for a place to get food. The hotel staff was courteous and friendly, efficient and professional. The room was attractive, very clean and comfortable. Al in all, a very pleasant place to stay, near shopping and all sorts of entertainment options, including outdoor recreation.

We stay here every time we pass through Redding and are always very happy with the experience in every aspect of our stay. Their breakfast is the best of anywhere we've stayed in our travels. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms have recently been redone and are very clean and comfortable. We have no complaints!

For the amount of money this Hotel charges, it should at least have a workable bathroom door. Had to use tissue to secure shut the bathroom door. Very unhappy and will not be staying here again. Very dissatisfied with this hotel.

I always lean towards staying at a Best Western, the amenities were very nice, the bed was clean and comfy. The pool was extremely nice being 8ft in the deep end, it's a big deal for my husband (6'2) and I (5'8) we actually could swim and play around. The only issue we had was the breakfast, we didn't eat our pre made meal in a box and ended up at a restaurant.

Was very pleased. Plenty of parking, Staff professional. Close to food and all stores, Cleaning staff very efficient. Great place to stay while in Redding. Nice to see the rates coming down so families could stay at such a nice place.

We have no complaints at all with this hotel. The room was clean and had NO smells. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The towels were a good size and absorbent. The outside property was clean including the parking area. The pool area was clean with nice pool furniture. They serve a hot breakfast along with some cold items - fruit, cereal, juice and milk.

This was just an overnight stay for our road trip, so we didn't need anything fancy. Although it was showing its age, the room was clean and comfortable, and that was our biggest priority. The complimentary hot breakfast was decent, but more importantly, it was much appreciated before we set out on another long drive. Bottom line...it was basic, but it certainly did what it needed to do.

Bed was saggy and rolled to the middle. Bedding consisted of two sheets with a thin blanket in between. Water pressure in the shower was barely enough to rinse — didn't dare attempt to wash my hair. Two towels in a two queen room. Room key didn't work upon returning the second night. Mask wearing was optional in the crowded lobby. On the bright side, the room was clean. Would not stay here again... Friends stayed next door at the newer Holiday Inn Express and had a much nicer room and experience for a cheaper rate. Or, the Oxford Inn and other hotels up the street have the advantage of not being adjacent to I-5.

Breakfast had supersede our expectations, we received Ham, eggs, bacon, milk, coffee orange juice hash browns biscuits and gravy. everything was covid friendly. the staff was quick and friendly. We got in a little after midnight to check in and were very tired, the gentleman at the front desk managed to make me laugh even in my pit of exhaustion. We were checked in within 3minutes and off to our room. The only thing we didnt care too much for was we didn't have a microwave, but thats not a deal breaker for us. Housekeeping was friendly and considerate. The restaurant so close was convenient as well. Definitely will be booking future Redding trips a this location.

This hotel has been updated, it is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The restaurant that adjoins the hotel is great. It is kinda of a sports bar feel. I enjoyed a ribeye steak, and it was delicious! This hotel was close to the freeway, but I did not hear any of the road noise in my room. A great place to stay, I will definitely use this location again.

Hotel was reasonably priced, clean , quiet & comfortable. Very handy to have a somewhat secluded but safe place to walk the dog right on the property (in the back). I recommend this for travelers with pets.

Beautifully appointed rooms. Very comfortable bed. Loved the decor. Quiet. I really loved our room. It was warm on our arrival. And, it smelled good! They had a Tesla plug in that worked very well and fully charged our car overnight. Their restaurant was a fun place to go with good food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing older hotel that has been upgraded over the years and well maintained. Incredible value for the property. Next to almost anything you need. Wish I could remember the woman's name at the front desk, a little older, wore glasses, she was amazing getting us all checked in, suggested the restaurant in the hotel, "spectacular". Younger guy checked us out, only works nights, was a server at C.R Gibbs for a few years before switching over to the front desk, great attitude and told us some history about the hotel. Love the old decor he mentioned, especially the yellow of orange comforter in the old suite. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel meets and beautifully satisfies all your expectations. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff was quick, helpful and professional. Our few special requests were handled and no big deal was made. We were particularly thankful that even though the COVID level had just been raised back up, they were still providing a full hot breakfast in a to-go box for us to eat in our room. No buffet, but still a large healthy filling breakfast. This hotel is a great value—great price for a great hotel.

BW went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel safe, comfortable and appreciated. We have been through incredible stresses these past 12 months of 2020, and BW (consistently) succeeded in relieving much of our stress through their kind, considerate, "go-the-extra-mile" hospitality. Needed a hotel room due to pge power outage. I have come to really enjoy Best Westerns. The staff at this location were very accommodating as I wasn't sure how long I would need to stay. I was able to cancel a night late the night before because our power came on at home and they were completely understanding and cancelled my extra night at no charge. Great customer service.

Megan at the front desk was wonderful. Did everything possible to meet our medical needs. The room was very clean, nice size, comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only complaint was the breakfast burrito. I know its a pandemic but they were awful. Very greasy, inedible. We ate at the many restaurants close to the hotel, not a issue because of the pandemic and the room being so clean and comfortable made up for it. Will stay here again.

Great inexpensive hotel with comfortable beds! Breakfast is included, but during these times it's a to-go breakfast dropped off at your door. Totally fine by us. Very nice staff. Easy check-in & check-out. Close to lots of restaurants & shopping. Restaurant on site as well. Will definitely stay here again, as we have family in the area.

Great room, great location, dog friendly. Plenty of parking, access to dog run, just very nice but I can't get over the no microwave. Fridge yes. Microwave no. I wouldn't choose this place again for that reason. Long day on road and wish to heat dinner. Have to go to front desk for that. Nope. Otherwise very efficient and breakfast burritos delivered to room! Yeah.

Traveling and needed an easy spot to rest for the night. This was perfect. Clean, comfortable bed and great AC- it was 100 outside! A good restaurant with outdoor seating although we did takeout- good food that whole family loved- pizza, ahi tuna bowl, short rib tacos and chicken Cesar salad. You know none of us eat the same so appreciate variety. Food was ready for us to pick up in 15 min on Saturday early evening. Tesla charger right outside our room- only a few but we got one. And, breakfast burritos delivered to our door at 630 am so we could get back on the road by 7. Check in and out easy and quick- felt very safe here. Book ahead- they were full the night we were here.

As we tired and hopping for a place that would take the stress from a long day with twin 4 year olds. At first it looked like getting in the Best Western was going to be an issue. The reason was the amount of cars and trucks already there. It was not so bad the entrance was vast and inviting. I have never been in a working person's hotel that was so richly decorated with obviously some of the finest work of the local tradesmen.

The hotel is clean and decor is nice. Close to everything (restaurants, coffee, grocery, etc). They have a restaurant on-site with a full bar that had great food and good service. The staff at the hotel was all very friendly. A friend had recommended this place to me, and I'm glad decided to stay here. Breakfast burritos delivered to your room as an alternate due to COVID, which was perfect.

Great place to stay. Older hotel but renovated nicely. This hotel was near the freeway, restaurants and Redding sights. I would plan on getting my own breakfast during the covid times as their breakfast burrito lacked something. Other wise all was great. Would stay again.

Best Western Plus has so many locations we are able to find one each time we visit family and friends across the country. Each experience has been positive with clean, comfortable rooms and amenities. Staff members are friendly and helpful.

The staff was amazing, and the hotel was nice and clean. Even during the Corona virus they offered a sack breakfast or burritos brought to your Room. We had a great night stay. I would recommend to anyone!

Really found a gem for family get together so enjoyed this property and it's staff , Resturant onsite amazing food and service too. Clean rooms great amenities even thru this social distancing crisis. We will be back to scooter the 10 mile stretch of sundial bridge and trails and back to lake Shasta

The new remodel is wonderful stepping up to the big boys without ripping you off!!! We are in the middle of the corona virus and staff is extra friendly and making sure everything is clean and wiped down properly. Nice a quiet comfortable beds linens

Excellent amenities, friendly and efficient staff and VERY convenient location to the highway. Plus it's pet friendly. This was our third time at this property and although the restaurant and excellent breakfast were not available this time due to CoVid-19, we still enjoyed the warm welcome from the staff and the beautiful room as we have come to expect. Bravo on continuing your fine level of service during this trying time.

This Best Western was clean, friendly, had a beautiful pool, and tasty dining! Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Just enough room for an overnight stay without tripping over each other. The toilet was a little close to the door but toilets are bigger these days. The dinner choices at the resturant were varied and ranged from beef to seafood. We had the french dip on the freshest roll ever! The breakfast had lots of choices, from sausage to french toast. Check out was a breeze. Leave the key in the room and go!

We stay at this hotel at least twice a year. We are very satisfied with the condition of the property and the quality of service. Internet is free, responsive, and easy to use. Unsure about speed as we do simple internet transactions like email and social web site. We avoid large streaming apps. The television choices are fine with us. Caroline did a nice job on our room prior to our arrival. We refused room tidy service during our stay in order to minimize contact due to Covid 19. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out. We were guests Saturday into Tuesday. Sunday morning breakfast buffet was very satisfying as we each had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice. Very filling and good. Monday morning we were stopped in the hallway by gloved employees and offered coffee and a takeaway bag with fruit, muffin, and cookies. In light of the covid 19 threat, I thought this was very responsive to the mandate to take measures to slow the spread of the virus, and acceptable in that something was offered instead of the buffet. I watched as one unhappy guest was offered the same. Hotel staff handled the situation well, though the guest left in a huff. Thank you, BW, for doing your part in this extraordinary time.

Made on line reservation requesting pet free room because of allergies. Christopher greeted me at arrival and assured us that we had a pet free room for the night! All in all the hotel was clean. The breakfast was more than adequate and included in the price of the room. Actually have stayed there before for all the good reasons.

Good location, hotel check in and out went smooth, Christopher at afternoon ck in very nice grounds were clean kept up , my husband noticed them sweeping around parking lot and he said it really wasn't dirty . but good job. rooms were clean, slept good. had breakfast in restaurant , good selection, hot foods. not just a pastry bar! employees in restaurant were polite, place was clean they kept up on it. pool area and hot tub looked good, didn't use it, would stay there again if in area.

Our entire trip consisted of 7 nights in hotels, last minute, limited budget, family emergency. After the first 1 being pretty bad experience, the next 5 cheap but clean with very hard one even lumpy beds, we decided to treat ourselves. Found this Hotel on expedia but after the rest of the trip we wanted to see it in person first. Very modern look, very nice staff, very clean, more than we expected available on site, better deal at front desk then booking online through discount sites. Room was quiet, felt safe, beds very comfy. We were very happy and wished it wasn't the last stop on our way home, it would have been nice to be pampered a coulple more nights.

Great hotel. Have stayed here before. Right off I-5. I actually prefer this location way above the next Best Western done the road “Hill Top”. Stay HERE!! Quite all rooms are accessed from “inside” the hotel. Seems like these styles are always more quite. Short 10 min drive down town for dinner at La Cabana. Small family owned EXCELLENTLY prepared mexican food. The A Diablo shrimp is their specialty

Had a nice stay at the facility on Hill Top Drive, employees met my needs and we're very pleasant. This hotel was located in a prime location for food and stores with-in walking distance. The restaurant was very tasty as well.

I procure rooms for a fishing group that has been coming to Redding for many years. We had stayed at a competitor's property for most of those years, I am glad we switched. Our rooms were clean and well appointed. We will be back next trip.

Centrally located, the Best Western Plus is a quality option. With a flare for areas of improvement, I recommend the following changes. I'm pretty petite, so sleeping/swimming in a King size bed was a dream! The Keurig was not located near an outlet, so it needed to be moved for use. Decaf and regular coffee were provided, but I recommend some tea options along with honey or other sweetener options. C.R. Gibbs is the restaurant located within the hotel, but does not offer room service. I believe adding this service would significantly enhance the “weary travelers” experience. In the past, many hotels provide a Gideon's Bible. There was no spiritual text in the room. Due to the high number of world travelers which come through our area, I recommend including at least 3 spiritual texts for travelers (ie: Bible, Koran, Gita). The key located on the telephone does not include the number to reach the front desk (I realize I didn't look on the phone itself, so it may be there). There are a number of USB charging stations in the room, the LED desk lamp as one as well. Keeping our electronics charged while traveling can come as a welcomed perk. Lastly, if you are offering a room near a “Staff Only,” please let them know. There is much more activity near these rooms, and your guests should know about it beforehand. The breakfast staff was friendly, and used a light tone with the customers. It was a nice way to begin the day. Very clean room, bed very comfortable, have a Keurig one-cup offee maker which I like over a coffee pot in the room. Great location!!! Went to the casino after the Willie Nelson concert. Casino is nice. Hotel is about 15 minutes from casino and only 5 minutes from Civic Center.

We'd parked our truck by our room after a very easy check-in. We heard our car alarm go on but then it went off. We didn't go out to check, which is just as well. Someone broke our truck window and took some of our stuff. The staff told the police that the security camera, which was on our truck, was not working. The staff was helpful but didn't offer to give us anything. Of course there are signs that say they are not responsible so we didn't expect any kind of help. Otherwise, everyone was nice, but I don't think we will stay there again.

Pool is great it's heated for the cooler months my daughter didn't want to leave the pool at all and breakfast is great. Staff super friendly and great. Thumbs up!Will Definitely be back to visit again.

For several years I have been enjoying the Hilltop Inn during annual and semin-annual trips to California from Oregon. The Inn is perfectly placed for us midway in our travels. The staff never disappoints. Breakfast is the best.

I have stayed at this Best Western at least 25 times and I wont stay at any other hotel in Redding if I can get a room here and they have been completely booked on more than a few occasions, that's why I will book this hotel as soon as I know that I will be traveling to Redding.

My wife and I were along with our two dogs were traveling from AZ to OR and stopped for the night in Redding. This hotel did not disappoint. Rooms were clean and tidy. Hotel staff was amazing. Attached restaurant was fantastic as was the service. We were not planning on staying in Redding on the way home but because of our great experience we modified our trip for a night in Redding.

In numerous stays at Best Western Plus Hilltop, we have encountered a very friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast buffet. Everything is hot and tasty. The restaurant attached, C.R. Gibbs is outstanding. The best hotel in the area.

The staff was beyond amazing. From check in to check out. Answered all of our questions. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and done beautifully. The room was clean and very nice. Definitely staying again.

The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helped me immediately with towels for the spa. I very much enjoyed the spa in the rain :) Everyone was very nice and helpful as usual with Best Westerns.

Had not been here in several years so chose a newly-remodeled room. Attractive, but disappointing in function. Keurig coffee makers produce tiny servings of coffee with a huge amount of waste, but can't make tea, instant hot chocolate, soup etc. There's no microwave! If you want to reheat food, warm up medical devices, or warm infant formula, you're out of luck. For half what I paid, I expect a fridge AND microwave. I can't use a dozen pillows, and nice decor doesn't make up for what's missing. Poor value for price.

No microwave in room although I requested, coffee maker did not work, front staff could care less, stains on sheets and front staff said oh sometimes the washer machine does that, not. Front staff extremely unresponsive, the best thing about hotel was the excellent breakfast.&

We always stay at this hotel while traveling the I-5 corridor. The service is excellent and having the restaurant on property is a plus. Dinner is great and the breakfast at the restaurant is included.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn in Redding. We arrived late and were warmly welcomed. In the morning, I used the exercise room. We enjoyed their complementary breakfast in the restaurant area. It was good. Staff is nice.

People are friendly upon check-in. Breakfast was delicious! Very close to everything. Easy freeway access to get to BLD. Rooms were clean and updated. You can walk to Big 5 if you need anything last minute for softball. There are places to eat within walking distance if you don't want to lose your parking spot.

Very nice stay, close to all restaurants & shopping, personable staff, friendly and great atmosphere at CR Gibbs the restaurant at this Best Western Plus. Food is always good, the Hot breakfast in the a.m. has a large variety of items to please everyone!

We stayed there for a couple nights and had our wedding party dinner there it was awesome, the rooms were nice good food and everything went well and we had a great time at the hotel the staff was very helpful

We had a very comfortable stay at ratings Best Western Hilltop and a great meal at their adjoining restaurant. And the staff was wonderful at both. And the facility was upgraded and very clean the best smelling room I've been in

We have stayed at Best Western Hilltop many times on our way to S.F. The location is perfect for #5, the staff is consistently courteous and efficient. The rooms are typical Best Western,bland but comfortable, and clean.

We were not impressed with this hotel and are puzzled why it receives great reviews. From the exterior it's warm and inviting but the rooms were more like we had transported back to the 70's. Beds were uncomfortable. We found the price of our stay much higher than other similar or better hotels.The breakfast that everyone raves about is not that spectacular... the eggs taste unusual, most likely it's the oil or butter they are cooked in, The hotel was clean I have to say but overall we were not a fan!

The room and pool plus the spa was exceptionally clean. The breakfast begins early and is well presented and was very tasty with lots of options. I ate the typical eggs and potatoes but there were veggies in the potatoes, a nice bowl of cut up fruit that seemed organic it was so tasty. I don't care for oatmeal but for those who do there was a large serving bowl with nuts, fruit and granola. Yogurt, dry cereal,yogurt, bacon and sausage...a coffee, tea and juice bar....it was all there and well done. Great staff in every dept. with good manners which is important to me.

Always our go-to, stay-at place in Redding. We visit Redding a few time a year...this time for a three night stay. Room was clean; staff were friendly and accommodating from check-in to check-out; breakfast was well prepared and presented. Variety was very good as each day the meats changed from bacon to sausage to ham, in succession; rolled oats were available with dried fruit and fresh fruit; coffee gooood. Finding a parking spot in the evening can be tedious as the restaurant seems busy nightly. Observed a security guard walking the premises in the evening. I would, and have, recommended this hotel to friends if in the area.

Booked a return visit this month and set this venue into our permanent travel book. This is a beautiful destination that is expertly maintained and managed. Difficult to tell the difference between this site and several 5-Star resort hotels.

We needed a last minute room...staff here were great!! Breakfast was wonderful...lots of choices!! It's in an area where there are many restaurants and shopping all around. Great location!! Will book again if ever in Redding!!

Good for the price we paid, but the rooms to the freeway should be better noise-isolated/ sound-proved. It's really more for a short over-night-stay than for a longer vacation. In my impression the lobby looked quite nice, and it's also nice to have a restaurant right next to it.

I stay at this hotel frequently and have always had an excellent experience from the front desk staff being very professional and helpful, the rooms being clean and comfortable and the staff who work the breakfast being extremely friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone! 5 Stars for sure!!

Check in was a breeze. Clerk was helpful and gracious. Everyone we encountered was helpful, even if it was "not their job.". That means a lot to me for the way a motel is run. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of hot foods to satisfy any appetite. Staff was excellent, room was clean and well appointed. I would definitely recommend this great location. Close to many restaurants and easy access to the highways. We were also happy to have an onsite laundry facility after almost a week of travel. Convenient & clean laundry facilities.

This hotel lived up to the Plus part of Best Western. The staff in the lobby were very helpful and friendly. I stayed in a upgraded king room that was very nice. The TV in the room was a proper size for the room, and they had a Keurig coffee machine. The complimentary breakfast was very good for the price.

We were traveling by car up from L.A. and needed a stop before heading into Oregon. The hotel is just off I-5 and the rear of the hotel faces the highway. We had asked for a quiet room and the front desk staff gave us a room in the far back, near the highway. The room was quiet when we put on the A.C. but we otherwise would have heard the highway noise all night. In addition, there was a person who was loudly talking and walking around the rear parking lot who appeared to be homeless - security finally ushered them off the property. The room was OK but could use some sprucing up. We slept well and enjoyed their breakfast the next morning before departing. Overall, it was a good place for an overnight stay.

I have stayed here a few times. Pros: Easy access from the freeway. Plenty of places to eat nearby (and on site). Nearby mall. Better than average breakfast. Staff is ALWAYS very friendly. No issues with noise from outside or other rooms. AC worked well and was fairly quiet. Cons: There is an elevator but may not be close to your room. Rooms are clean, but a little dated. I would stay here again.

Hotel is an older BW but seemed to have recently upgraded, so it was very nice. After travelling all day it was so good to have the restaurant on premises, an very good food. We were parked on the back of hotel and was very quiet.

I stayed here on my way to drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. The check in was easy, the front desk worker was extremely pleasant. However, the hotel did have a very strange setup. Other then that it was a decent stay. I would stay here again if I was going through Redding.

Book this place in June for jr suite said it was dog friendly need room for 4 people. A baby and two dogs Junior executive suite right!!! Absolute joke front door looked like it was broken into before.Room was small two double beds at best Upstairs for the jr executive suites very sketchy neighborhood. Bathroom sub standard stay clear of this place on way back stayed across the two blocks down motel 6 much better room and clean

Had to travel for work and stayed at the Hilltop Best Western for almost 2 weeks. Everyone was very helpful and courteous. Restaurants are in walking distance. Same with some shopping. Right off of I5 .

We try to stop here every time we are on the 5, to and from Orange County and Washington state. My daughter was making the same trip and I convinced her that this was seriously the best place to stay for her husband and 9 month old baby. Hotel is great. Breakfast is awesome. Coffee is delicious. Baby will be happy. Happy baby, happy mama. She's so glad she listened! Thanks Hilltop for helping us make the last minute reservation! You are amazing!!

The beds are terrible and the front desk night clerk was rude and incompetent. I was overcharged on my bill and no one would fix it. The pet area is convenient and the pool is nice. The beds were so terrible and the extra charges they wanted to give us for a pet $20 a Day was ridiculous so we canceled 2 nights we had remaining and left. So much for a vacation. One bright note is the breakfast buffet host. He is super friendly and nice.

After a near brush with bedbugs at a la Quinta down the street, we drove up to this hotel after 2am with our fingers crossed that they still had a room available. They did have a room, it was large, well-appointed, and most importantly, CLEAN. Not only were there no bedbugs, they place their mattresses in a sanitary cover which doesn't even let bedbugs get a foothold. Everything about this place was great, and made even greater by the fact that it wasn't the grotty filthbomb we'd left down the street. But the breakfast. My goodness, the breakfast. They might call it a continental, but it packs every country into that continent. Biscuits and gravy, thick ham slices, pineapple and oranges, juice, french toast, eggs, potatoes O'Brien, oatmeal, cereal, and more. This is our second positive experience at a Best Western Plus, and we'll be on the lookout for more wherever our next stay takes us.

We would like to thank Chris, he was very polite,friendly, helpful he also recommend the best restaurant in town C.R. Gibbs inside Best Western. Great Restaurant friendly staff, we had the best dinner the Statehouse Salad and the Garlic Asiago Burger were amazing. The Breakfast was also amazing it's offered by C.R. Gibbs everything we had was outstanding. The room was very nice clean and comfortable. We plan on returning just because of the service Chris provided and the food at C.R. Gibbs. We will definitely will be returning

Booked two rooms for our family while traveling I-5. The rooms are not particularly big (the King room felt more spacious then the other room we booked with two queens) but they were clean. Staff promptly delivered a pack n play for the baby and set it up for us. This was very helpful. This was our second stay here. Nice pool area and pleasant lobby. On site restaurant. We ordered a pizza as we arrived late and it was very good. Breakfast is a cut above with 'real' silverware and plates instead of plastic, coffee mugs and a nice variety of food. Plenty of seating.

Ask any “Real” Wildland Firefighter and they'll tell you we're not the ones who writes review nor complaints, so that fact that I'm taking my time to write this should absolutely tell you that this place has by far exceeded my wants, needs and expectations! My crew and myself are assigned to cover the Shasta Trinity National Forest and and could of chosen any hotel in this area and I'm glad we chose this one! Jacob and where so helpful and made my check in absolutely painless, maybe cuz they saw the tiredness in my eyes but whatever they saw, they knew what to do and took very good care of us!

No bad rooms despite location close to the highway. Rooms were large with nice decor and very spacious and clean. Guest laundry is a nice amenity. Nice staff. Keurig coffee maker was nice but paper coffee cups do not fit the overall quality of the facility.

General use areas were updated and quite nice! However it was also quite deceptive. The rooms are not updated and have huge pieces of furniture that make for a tight squeeze once your family and luggage are in the room. Beautiful restaurant, nice pool for kids, small work out facility, but clean. Just disappointed in rooms.

The noise from the highway was very loud and our bed was uncomfortable. I let them know it was uncomfortable and didn't seem like a queen bed. They do have a great breakfast though. It is also an easy hotel to find and close to many restaurants and the mall to go to.

My wife and I had never stayed in any Best Western Hotel to the best of our memory. We checked the available hotels in Redding, California for the date we were arriving there. The internationally well known hotel brand has a hotel located near the famous Sundial Bridge but it is charging for over $200 a night, before tax. We picked this Best Western Plus Hotel after reading its good online reviews and their price fits our budget ($168 for one night, tax included). This hotel is conveniently located near the I-5 freeway and it is in a nice area as far as we could tell. The room is a little bit small but we did not feel cramped, the bathroom is modern and clean. Extra points given for the in-room fridge. The 2 queen beds and pillows comfortable. My wife and I both slept comfortably and we woke up refreshed. The included hot breakfast buffet was adequate. We only wished that their coffee was more robust in taste. I'm perplexed that as you exit the elevator, and you walk towards your room with your luggage, you need to use short stairs to go downstairs to another level. I'm not sure how they accommodate guests with mobility issues. We were pleasantly surprised after finding out that it only took us a few short minutes to drive to the Sundial Bridge from this hotel. Overall, we are satisfied and this hotel is better than we anticipated. Elwyn approves!

Nice pool and quiet room. However, we were disappointed in the breakfast selection. The variety and quality of items did not compare to usual Best Western standards and certainly didn't fit the advertised "best breakfast" in the area. The breakfast room was held in the restaurant which was very nice. Otherwise, the quality was lower than other Best Westerns we have stayed at. Each item seemed to be offered to the minimum variety and quality. For example, for tea, there is only one choice - a generic black tea. For fruit there are only two choices - green apples and oranges. Cereal - two types of flaked varieties. No hard boiled eggs or peanut butter, regular butter is available but no margarine, and there was only a generic brand of sugary jelly. Also be aware, there are no gluten free items besides fruit (they offered Cheerios - which are not truly gluten free and not advised for those with gluten sensitivities). All other Best Western hotels we have stayed at have offered a couple types of gluten free items on request. Given this was held at a restaurant and advertised as the "best breakfast" in the area, we expected the food options to meet our needs. The front desk was not able to help and restaurant serving staff did not offer options (odd, given there is a full kitchen). Fortunately, on reaching out to the hotel manager, she listened with concern and offered to reach out to the restaurant manager to further address these issues. She also wanted to address a smaller room issue we encountered. So, if you plan to stay here and need any foods other than standard, ask first about current offerings. Hopefully, these issues may get fixed. The main pluses with this location are that it is in a central area of town with lots of shopping and dining nearby, has a very nice and clean pool, and fairly quiet rooms.

I am not sure these are tips but I was able to watch Fireworks right at hotel, which was very nice. Also the rooms are clean and staff is very helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurant, Cattlemans, Logins, Pizza Hut and GR Gibbs

Enjoyed our one night stay here while traveling through the area. Nice looking hotel with a captivating entry area. Room was clean with functional amenities, gift bags for the furries that we were traveling with (2 small dogs), and a grassy area for the furries to do their business. The restaurant is nice as well and allows you to order ahead from your room...packs it up for you to take back to the room - important when traveling with you pets! Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful as well!

The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was hot and appetizing. The bed was clean and comfortable and the staff at the front desk was attentive. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and is close to other dining options.

This is my fourth stay here with my daughter for a traveling swim meet. We enjoyed our time here! Coming from Santa Cruz, we're not used to the intense heat so we loved the swimming pool. Breakfast was easy and perfect for our group. I felt very relaxed during our stay. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and professional. A nice fun get away! Great food in the restaurant and cold beer!

We travel every year to Redding for a swim meet and always love staying at this hotel with all the other families. The pool is a great spot to hang out with everyone. The breakfast is also an added bonus. Full breakfast at a hotel is a great value for a family of four.

Great staff member who was very helpful at our check-in. Room was very good, bed was good, shower was strong. What was not so good was the breakfast, we've had better at other Best Western Hotels. The hotel was sold out on a weekday night, so it is a popular stop.

I have had multiple stays at this hotel. The staff is always terrific, friendly and helpful. On this particular visit, everything went well. The only down side was jack-hammering too early in the morning working on the hot tub. I know the work has to be done, and I am not an early riser, so it was probably only annoying to me. Disappointed the pool area was closed for the time being with temperatures over 100°. It's always my feeling that pools should be repaired during the off season, but what do I know. I would recommend and will continue to stay at this hotel when I am staying in Redding. It has far more positives than negatives.

The rooms were super clean, the staff as very friendly. We ate at the restaurant and it was outstanding. Service was terrific. The rooms were well furnished. I highly recommend this Hotel if you are passing through Redding. Convenient to I5.

We stayed 1 night as a stop over on our way to Oregon. The convince of a ground floor in the back near grass and doggie bags made our stay so much easier! The lobby was nice and front desk staff were friendly and accomiating. Check out the Grill while you are there. The Shitake mushroom pizza was out of this world as well as the happy hour specials!

We travel yearly with our dog to the Pacific NW. This is the only place we stay. The rooms are immaculate and never have a pet odor!!! Our dog rests well and thus so do we. We never hear other dogs. We always enjoy our stay

This was a clean, comfortable highway-side hotel with a good restaurant (breakfast included; full lunch and dinner available). What set it apart was the woman who checked us in--our savior! She noticed on my drivers license where we were from and thus where we were likely to be headed, and clued us in that there were hours-long back-ups on I-5. She also told us a good way to avoid them.

I've stayed here lots of times because they are pet friendly, has lots of parking and I'm a Best Western Rewards member. The property is older, but has been remodeled to a degree. It lacks adequate electrical outlets. It's better than other motels in Redding, but could do better.

We loved staying here and the breakfast was awesome! The staff was lovely and the room was comfortable and clean. When we come back to Redding, we are definitely going to stay here! It was conveniently close to the airport.

We stayed two days at this BW, and we were delighted by our experience. Friendly staff, great amenities and comfortable accommodation characterized our stay at this hotel. Hilltop BW was an easy off and on the freeway. Very pleasant staff from front desk to restaurant. Excellent dinner and the included breakfast. Room was decorated very nicely. It was quiet...no noisy neighbors. This was a repeat visit for us within 6 months and we'll stay again.

Excellent property. No complaints. This location is a must for any traveler. We travel quite often for business and pleasure and by far this property has been the best property in our stays for quite a few years now. We will return.

This worked out very well for us, as we were driving from Portland to San Jose, and this was our stop for the night. I appreciate the easy and fast check-in, a nice room with no problems, and a very comfortable night. The very nice breakfast got us off to a good stat without having to stop to eat, and finish our trip to San Jose.

I enjoyed my stay here. Conveniently located near the highway and nearby shopping and restaurants. The staff is pleasant and friendly. The breakfast here is excellent! Only thing I would have liked was a microwave in my room.

Reserved 4 rooms and at checkout all my rooms were charged a different rate. Instead of fixing issue, had to call corporate instead. One of my rooms was accidentally given away prior to my arrival to another guest.

My husband and I have stayed here quite a few times. We love that it is clean! The restaurant is good- and the free breakfast is very nice, as well! ( It's our "go to" place to stay when we travel in California )!

This hotel was very nice! The breakfast was great, the fitness center was super, the pool was nice. The rooms open to the outdoors, which surprised us. No inner hallways. But once we got the lay of the land, we enjoyed it!

We stopped over at this Best Western on a road trip. The location was perfect, just off I-5. We also loved that there was no highway noise in the hotel. We were able to walk to the Logans restaurant not too far away, and there were many other options in the area for dinner. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful as is expected with a Best Western Plus. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again any time I'm in the area.

Clean rooms, partially updated. Great price for the accommodations. Best selection for breakfast out of all Best Western's (even the high end ones), and top notch quality. Not the same breakfast fare as most BW Hotels. Lots of seating, lots of servers in case you need something. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on site which makes it better quality. Friendly front desk, and attention to detail. Nice pool. Very pleasant stay, I will return. Lots of RV parking too.

We chose this property due to the name and location while in transit to California. A St Patrick's Day celebration was being held in the restaurant and we were offered a room at the back in case it got noisy, which was thoughtful. No complaints about the room. The restaurant was very good and recommended

I stayed here during s business trip and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are nice and updated. One of the best things here is the restaurant. I couldn't believe the local Best Western has one of the best places to eat in this town. Service was great at night, as well as breakfast in the morning. The only issue I had was being able to hear people talking outside the rooms at almost any hour of the night. But, for the price, this is one of the best places to stay in this area and I'll go again when I'm here.

This was our second stay at the Hilltop BW in Redding. Nice accommodations, very good price and a great restaurant on the premises. Will stay here again, and recommend this hotel for all. Lots of other restaurants nearby.

We stay at this hotel every year for a night on our way home from California. Always look forward to our stay and the good food in the restaurant. Have been staying there for many years and always find the rooms clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly

We needed a certain type of room and this B.W. had that. We booked the King Elite room which is the only one of its kind. It was, unfortunately located above the front desk and next to the catering office. Our room was clean and met our needs, but the loud voices of staff below and next to us in the middle of the night was enough to wake our kiddo as well as ourselves (they know there is a room there...why not be more considerate at midnight?). The drunks who later stood beneath our window out front at about 2AM were yet another noisy wake-up after everyone had fallen asleep. Needless to say, I'm sure other rooms would be quieter, but all of the hotels on Hilltop Drive are next to I-5, so even if you don't have the room we had...you will hear traffic. On a positive note, the breakfast in the morning was awesome and hit the spot. We wish we'd had swimwear for the pool as well because it is heated and looked quite nice. We'd stay here again.

Check in was quick, express check out was even better! Service up front was great. Rooms were clean, restroom was clean, beds were comfortable, everything was up to date! No complaints from our family. Would stay here again if need be. Will hope that every other best western plus leaves us with the same great experience! Everything was perfect!

Your room is accessed from an outside door at the parking lot. Quick check in, clean rooms that are small. There is no built in closet, but a piece of furniture to hang a few clothes. Breakfast was very good. The best part was that their outdoor pool and spa were heated and we were able to swim even though the air temp was in the low 30's.

The hotel has a very welcoming lobby. Check in was easy. The rooms are not accessible from lobby area but are in attached structures. There are elevators accessible from the various parking areas. The breakfast area is the restaurant which is adjacent to the lobby. Guests get breakfast buffet vouchers. The food was good. The room was large and comfortable. The wifi was good.

“Wow that was sure some lobby.” Is exactly what nobody has said ever when the arrived to their room only to realize they have been lobby duped. Hey happens to the best of us and the best western on hilltop doesn't want you to show it any special considerations as they have their front entrance game on point. No sooner than you open the door do you here in the back of your head “wait we on the same property?” No lie. Its not that the pictures shouldn't serve justice, its the fact that HDR has ruined any chance of a unpartisan picture when the camera is held by the management. Erase those shadows and what are you left with? Just about any photo of a location that is being falsely conveyed. Phew went on a slight tangent. In any event, this place truly has the most tasty, nutritious, and each dish is made from actual ingredients, like the ones found in the produce isle or dairy department. Nothing about it is frozen and bagged then shipped, stored, frozen again, shipped again, then microwaved to bits then kept warm for hours whilst travelers scoff and shun the almost inedible trash most hotels are more than happy to give away for free. Breakfast is about 50% of a hotel stay, or atleast after staying at this site for an extended stay of 47 nights, it seems to have a way of becoming an important feature to a hotels roster. Not without its obvious short comings. The rooms. The place doesn't feel so much dated as it feels like a time warp back to what some would call yesteryear. Or a travel in time back to when people used that word. The beds are, like most places, room dependent so you never know what to expect unless you get the same room every time. The staff are nice enough. Overall I would recommend this place, even though after a stay I found a black widow under the bed. That breakfast tho, its the thing you need to watch out for!!

We stayed here on our way to Eugene, Oregon. Nice place. The room was clean. Front staff was nice. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was your standard complimentary breakfast. The location was very convenient for us. The building seemed older, though.

I found the room was clean with a new bed and good furniture but it is an older room type. The bathroom was clean and all the plumbing etc. worked well. The air conditioner and heater worked well. The hotel lobby was up to date and nicely decorated for Christmas. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast which was included was excellent. The attached restaurant was very good. I recommend staying here. Good value, clean, and good location.

We needed a hotel to stay at passing through after travelling 11 hrs...... this was the only decent hotel I could find online probably because hotels were booked with evacuees from the fires. We payed $300 Canadian most expensive hotel we stayed in to rest our head and to travel another 11 hrs home. We liked the hotel a lot good breakfast just not sure for the value if I'd consider again. Went to a great Mexican resteraunt down the street. We could hear highway traffic in our room but after being on the road so long and popping in earplugs we didn't hear a thing. We brought our pup but had to really look for a tiny patch of grass for her to do her job.

we like this location since the inner courtyard room are very quiet. rooms are not real sound proof, room-to-room but otherwise good. the small workout room is ok, too. the breakfast is so-so. they do offer oatmeal and eggs but don't be looking for much else that's considered healthy. plus, if you are a tea drinker the rooms don't have tea for Keurig machine and the brand in restaurant is... well, I bring my own tea, that's says it all. front desk staff is friendly and helpful.

This hotel has a great bed. Excellent coffee maker (Kurig) which is rare for hotels in general..The breakfast is really good, don't miss out on that..A bit noisy near the elevator/stairs.Needs a bit of updating - carpet, exhaust fan and light in bathroom if you need to do makeup..We would definitely stay again..

This time we stayed on the south side of the hotel it is a little bit noisy with everyone up early during the week, so if you are looking to sleep in get upstairs near the pool area.The staff if wonderful and always pleasant and helpful.

I used BW Plus Hilltop Inn for a two day meeting and the guests that live out of the area were pleased with the sleeping rooms too. The food was really good and the service was top notch! I would recommend the meeting space, sleeping rooms and restaurant to all. They also have out side seating; weather permitting.

What we didn't like -- The entrances to the rooms were on the outside, so people walking by were noisy. The temperature control on the refrigerator was on the back of the appliance, so not easily accessible. The bathroom needed more towel bars. The office chair was too low (and could not be raised) to use the computer on the table. The toilet was so close to the wall that I bumped my elbow in the toilet paper holder. It was ridiculous! What we did like -- Good air conditioning unit, which shut off when reaching desired temperature. The towels were very good quality. I got the idea that this was a refurbished hotel from another chain, and the re-do on it wasn't very well done. Don't bother to go there. I'm sure there are better places in Redding.

Excellant location for easy access to and from the interstate. Has an elevator for ease to the second and third levels. Rooms a comfortable size with very soft mattresses. Large bar laounge and dinnering restaraunt

After driving for 9 hours from Southern California, my driving foot began to fall asleep. I saw the Best Western up ahead so I pulled off and checked in. This Best Western is attached to a Bar & Grill and less than a 100 yards is a Cattlemen's. The beds are very comfortable and the room décor is artistic. I would stay there again!!! No microwaves in the rooms.

We always stay at this Best Western when traveling on I5. It is clean, friendly, quiet and so convenient. The breakfast buffet is delicious with lots of options. The restaurant that is attached to the hotel is convenient....you don't have to drive to have dinner. There are also lots of dining choices within walking distance of the hotel. Easy on and off freeway. This is our go to place for a place to stay in Redding.

This hotel has become our place to stay each time we pass through Redding which has become twice yearly for the last few years. Each time we are not disappointed. We always get a room with a king bed so there is plenty of room for our 2 bikes and our dog. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are some of the best you will find.

Hilltop Inn is a great place and an excellent location. Easy to access from the freeway. Close to just about any type of shopping you might want. Staff are courteous and efficient. Pool and hot tub awesome. The restaurant is excellent.

Everything was perfect. I asked that I be put in a room that overlook my vehicle for security reasons, and even though I checked in early, the staff accommodated me. There is nothing worse than driving ten hrs and your room is not ready. The receptionist name is Rose and she saw to all my needs.

This place is halfway between our farm in Sequim, WA and our daughters in Southern California. It was recommended to us years ago by a friend. Way before we had our "pet" to travel with. Loved that it is pet friendly.They gave us a "puppy pad, bowl and treats for our pet. Did not need the puppy pad, but it is a great idea for pets who may be trained on them. Ours is a farm dog, give him grass or a tree and he is good to go! Best part id full bar and wonderful meals! Don't have to drive to a great dinner after a long day of traveling. Great coffee available too.

We stay here quite frequently (maybe 5 times a year some years) and enjoy the convenience and pleasant room decor (newly refreshed) as well as the breakfast in the restaurant. The restaurant by the way, is also very good for dinners. The service (for us) has always been fast, friendly, and accurate. The bar inside the restaurant is awesome. The housekeepers are excellent, our rooms have always been clean, smell clean, and their daily service is also very well done. My only complaint (which to us knocks the property down from Excellent to Very Good) is that we always ask for a downstairs pet room because we always travel with our dog. These rooms are almost always (but not entirely) designated for disabled guests. On one of our recent visits (hotel was NOT full) we parked in ONE of the two the "designated" disabled places in front and to the next door of our room. The other space was empty all night. At 10pm a security guard (this place does feel very secure, you see the guard walking around all the time) wandered past, apparently looked at our vehicle, and called the front desk. They called us (waking us up) to tell us if we didn't move our car that it would be towed by the police. I woke my hubs, who grumpily got up and moved the car. In the morning when we checked out I brought it up at the front desk. The clerk told me the city police do NOT patrol their parking lot looking for cars missing disabled placards but parked anyway in disabled spaces. So who is right, and it was never confirmed if, since we were in a designated disabled bedroom, were we ok to park in that parking place? On our many visits this is the only time we have been called out for parking in the disabled space in front of our room.

Perfect place to stay, rooms excellent and the restaurant food is 5* Would definitely recommend. Very welcoming. Clean outside eating area, staff very friendly and great service. The breakfast is a must a great spread and fully of variety. Lovely coffee too, a perfect start to the day.

We spent a total of 6 days at this property. We used this as our base for an outstanding tour of northern California. The staff was outstanding, from the manager, front desk, breakfast and cleaning staff. "D" who works at the front desk was available months before our visit by answering a million questions and sending material to help us plan our visit. We would go back the next time we are in the area.

Comfortable beds, lots of pillows! Remodeled rooms, nice new high showerheads. Sink area countertop is gorgeous. New Keurig single cup coffeemakers. New furniture/closet, and desk. New lamps. The front lobby has also been remodeled. The attached restaurant, CR Gibbs has fabulous food, and a wide selection of wines. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I spent one night here while on a road trip and were impressed right away by the hotel's appearance and staff. It's located right off the highway for easy access. Everyone was friendly and efficient. The rooms have outside doors but there is an elevator to the 2nd floor. The lobby and room were attractive and well maintained. As a frequent traveler, I was particularly impressed that the tv remote had been disinfected and placed into a protective sleeve..the first time I've seen this done! When I checked the bed I found that the mattress was encased in a protective cover, and everything in the room was very clean. They also provided 2 luggage racks, which is a rare thing. The AC worked well, although it did make a light rattling noise but not too annoying. The bathroom did not have a fan, so it got a bit steamy after a shower. Bedding and towels were quality, there was a microwave, small fridge, large flat screen tv, and a Keurig coffee maker. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, albeit a bit softer than we like. Even though our room was just down the corridor from the pool, we had no trouble with noise. We particularly enjoyed the hotel's inner courtyard with pool, hot tub and seating, surrounded by colorful planters and landscaping. A free breakfast buffet was served in the attached restaurant, and it had a great variety of choices for everyone. Lots of seating and attentive staff. (2 egg scramble choices, fresh fruit, bread selection, French toast, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, etc.) We were very impressed. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

When is it 107+ degrees outside and they knew the room was rented for the night, the thermostat should have been lower when we walked into the room. Took a while (hours)for the room to cool down. Also no refrigerator control that we could find. Clean, comfortable room but on the small side. Enough room for one night but if you are staying longer and want to spread out; this isn't the place you want. Bed was comfortable, TV worked well. Breakfast was an above average buffet for a Best Western. Older motel only two stories with a lot of steps, even for 2 stores. Could be harder on older or challenged folks. Finally, first time I ever saw a desk clerk check in two guests at the same time. He was very efficient!

This was the best ending to a vacation. This hotel and room was clean, the workers were courteous, friendly and helped whenever needed. The breakfast had a lot of choices. Well worth the money we paid for our room. If we are ever back in the area we will stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and the ac worked a little to well..definately kept us cool. Very happy with this BW. Bed was super comfy and breakfast was tasty. The front desk service was just standing very nice

Our room was a little small and dated, but clean.The bathroom was also, but the water pressure was good and plenty of towels.Breakfast was good but could have been hotter.The pool was so clean that you could see your feet even at 8ft deep.The hot tub was clean and out doors. We loved the food at the resteraunt next door. Wifi was good also and we liked parking right outside of our room.

The trip takes us through California heading for Yosemite. So Redding is a good stopping off point. The Hilltop BW is just off the Interstate and quite easy to find although the street is quite busy with traffic. The hotel is very nice and the staff are efficient and friendly. The room is standard size, neat tidy and clean. We used the pool and it was a positive experience although late in the afternoon when we arrived towels were a bit sparse. There is a restaurant attached but there are loads of eating places around the hotel so we plump for the Black Bear down the street (see other review). There is a pleasant breakfast but Mrs D is disappointed as there is no waffle machine. Despite this I would certainly recommend the place if you are making your way along the Pacific Coast and are looking for a stop off.

Although we were in town for only one night, this Best Western was great for our little stop over. I Don't usually expect much from budget chain motels, but I was pleasantly surprised by this Best Western It had a very nice lobby with great staff at check-in (I'm terrible with names) who were friendly and engaging and did a great job of explaining all the amenities and directions to our room. The Hotel was extremely easy to get to off the I 5 freeway too. Our room was clean and very well stocked with towels and pillows. Wifi actually worked even though we were in the back of the property. Quiet property (after the group of firefighters who were hanging out at the laundry area went to bed at 11pm lol) Plenty of parking. Breakfast was great for a freebie included in your rate. Loved the biscuits and gravy! Not sure when we will ever be back to Redding, but I would definitely stay here again!

I was pleasantly surprised that the Best Western has improved their hotel amenities and service. I normally stay away from hotels with the room doors facing the parking lot. This hotel was quite, clean and have a good restaurant on its property. The rooms smelled good, clean bathroom and the beds feel new. I'd stay here again.

Another stop off on the way to San Francisco from Seattle. Mainly used as a break between what would be a long drive. A motel style residence with a restaurant and laundry facilities, all very easy to use. The resturant is typical American food and drink and the service is good too. The rooms are spacious and clean and offer good security with a safe and plenty of storage if you need it.

This is a comfortable hotel with useful attached restaurant and bar. Breakfast was included. We stopped one night while touring northern CA and left refreshed. Easy parking and quiet. We hit a cold spell at the end of May and didn't test the pool!

If traveling through the Redding, CA area you will have a good rest and great breakfast. We stopped late in the evening and were pleased there was room available and close off I5. Rooms are very comfortable and was surprisingly quiet so we hand a restful night. They have laundry on site which is a nice offerong. Continental breakfast is very good. Lots to select from for free or you could visit the onsite restaurant. All in all a good place to stop and rest.

Traveling from north or south along I5 you can count on BW Plus hotels to provide consistent quality for a comfortable overnight stay. Close freeway access, clean, quiet and restful, with quality restaurants close by, if not in the same facility.

Stayed here while attending a Josh Turner concert. Arrived early, swam, soaked up some sun. The pool area is incredible. Then the bed, linen, shower the room over all, excellent. Staff is wonderful and helpful. Great job again BW.

We travel the I-5 corridor 4 -5 times a year and this area is the 1/2 way stop. This is a very pleasant stop and the breakfast is a great bonus !! Rooms are comfy, clean and quiet, what more could you want for a one night stay. And did I say breakfast is so much more than the usual breakfast. The check in staff is always friendly and cheerful too. Thanks, we'll see you again in a few weeks !

We only stayed overnight as we were passing thru but were very happy with the room and especially the helpful staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We would definitely stay again if we ever pass thru again!

We use Best Western most of the time, this trip we had our small dog with us. BW Hilltop gave us a welcome pup bag, our room was to the rear of the property where there was a grassy area. Awesome! Breakfast as usual was fantastic, this property you sit in their restaurant. HIGHLY recommend

This is a very nice hotel. The whole experience was excellent. The employees were all very polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and decor was really good. We were happy we chose this hotel in which to stay and will do so again.

Clean rooms but very small, for even 3 people. The air conditioning worked but its was either too cold or not cool enough. Shouldn't be advertised as a BW Plus hotel. We would try another hotel if we returned.

We had a very nice stay here and the staff were very friendly. A energizing complete breakfast was included with our stay. The bar and restaurant were a bonus, so we didn't have to go anywhere else for eats and drinks. All in all I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this to others.

I was very happy with my stay. The lobby, rooms, and grounds were nice, clean, comfortable and modern; and the staff was amazing as well. The rooms look like the were recently updated. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a great selection on the TV menu. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting our family in Redding.

Excellent service, front desk attendant was very efficient. We checked in taking almost no time.The clean room, the internet all so comfortable.they have nice amenities with gyms and swimming pool.of course the good breakfast with good coffee make never forget.

I was traveling on business and pleasantly surprised to find the hotel very clean and staff were friendly. There was an excellent breakfast buffet that was free with the overnight stay. I would highly recommend the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here only 1 night on our way to several National Parks in Northern California and Oregon, but we wish we could have stayed for several. The hotel is lovely, the staff is friendly and competent, and the rooms are nicely appointed. They have a beautiful heated swimming pool and surrounding patio area in which you can't help but relax and unwind. I think the highlight of our stay, however, was their included breakfast buffet. It is outstanding, and is located in their adjoining restaurant. The selection and quality of the foods was just great. Don't pass this place by if you need a place to stay in Redding.

First time we have stayed at this Best Western. Nice and comfortable room. Excellent check in staff. Very accommodating. Really liked have a very nice restaurant attached to the hotel. Rooms are very nicely decorated. Room was very clean. Also very quiet. Will stay at this hotel again.

We were in town for a bike race hoping for a good nights sleep. We were in a bad location next to stairs.The beds and sheets were a no go for the price of the room, nearly 200$ That being said everything was clean and the staff was nice. It was convenient to have the restaurant next door. The hotel is old but the rooms redone. I would not stay again as the price was to high, when i pay 200$ a night the beds, sheet and pillows are perfect. Thats what i look for in a 5 star hotel.

Nice hotel, Great breakfast was included. Perfect location for the car show cruise. The only disappointment was the parking lot security provided for our cars and trailers. Two out of three vehicles we traveled with were broken into. Long drive home without a window. The damage to the body of the vehicles was not good. We were specifically told security was provided for our vehicles and trailers and that did not appear to be the case.

We stayed here for Kool April Nights 2018. Very friendly staff, pool was clean and well maintained, rooms have mini frig but no micro. They provided us special parking for our classic cars with security for the day of cruise. Very pleased. Free breakfast was good and onsite Resturant and bar

We always enjoy staying at the B.W. Hilltop in Redding. Conveniently located, great value for the rates. Always friendly out-going staff and clean/neat room. Fine dining restaurant in-house. We always stay there when in Redding.

Registration process & personnel, room cleanliness & bed comfort- excellent. However, it wasn't until the next morning when I asked the age of the hotel due to 1980s dated room appearance, was told we were in the old section. The second building had just been updated & room were exceptionally nice. Hint taken, when we book again, which we will, ask for the remodeled or ‘deluxe' section. An absolute must is the associate restaurant, C. R. Gibbs.

Great location right off freeway, but not subjected to freeway noise. Great restaurant on site and free breakfast the next morning to get your tank filled up and get your motor running. Will definitely stop here again if passing through.

Once you have made a reservation they don't cancel it due to the fact you are a local resident and then not let you know its been cancelled! They were great at Best Western. We were able to sneak into one of the last two rooms at 5:00 pm on a Friday, the weekend of Easter, and the beginning of Easter Break.

Room hard to find. Smell of cigars in room, but desk clerk changed our room promptly. Didn't like the set up of the rooms, with door to inside hallway hard to find (and didn't get good directions) and walkway in front of our room that caused noise.

First time at this hotel, but it will not be my last . Overall the hotel was excellent ,and the staff went out of their way to ensure all of my needs were tended to. I thought the food was excellent!!

This is our second time staying here. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are great. No skimping on anything. The one downside is the freeway noise but I suspect all the hotels along that street have the same issue.

This hotel offers a marvelous buffet breakfast. I can't think of anything that was missing. The rooms are typical BW/HI etc type but we did not need anything else. They were nicely appointed with pleasing decorations and amenities. The hotel has a restaurant open to the public which is very popular. I thought the rate, which totaled $130 after taxes was steep. Otherwise, parking is in front of your room most likely and lit at night.

Very comfortable and accommodating. They made the best sausage on a Monday morning! It is buffet hot gourmet breakfast that comes with the stay. Staff is very accommodating. Wonderful staff. Swimming pool looks great but it is outdoors and the wrong time of year to use it.

Stayed here many years ago and remembered to stay again if ever passing thru. Clean. Beds nice and comfy. Doors face outside which is our preference. Stayed on side facing freeway and couldn't here it. Quiet stay. Best part is the free breakfast in attached restaurant!

Adequate room, comfortable bed, clean enough. Dog friendly and location is good with places to eat, stores and easy on and off the road. Unfortunately, the highway is extremely loud and kept the dogs awake and us most of the night. Insist on a room on the other side of the building.

My wife and I stopped here for the night and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful hotel. It had some minor construction during our visit, but it was clean, very comfortable and quiet. The checkin was very fasr and the young man was very professional. He foud my guest rewards number and made sure to offer me the rewards for being a Platinum member. The room was very clean and roomy. There were plenty of towels for the night and they were very soft. There were plenty of soft pillows for both myself and my wife. Being in business, I needed the wi-fi and it was easy to connect to and was pretty fast. In the morning, we checked out and went to the breakfast bar. This was not your typical food bar. They have a restaurant on site and had plenty of hot food items. Normally, we do not eat the hotel breakfast, but we really enjoyed this breakfast. This will be our future hotel when we travel again! Oh, there was a local Black Bear Diner a block away with gas stations nearby too. Very handy spot to rest!

Enjoyed our stay. Easy access off I 5 when heading north or south. This was our 2nd time staying here and enjoyed it as much as our first time. We only hoped breakfast wounld open before six as we had to be on the road early.

Pillows stunk so bad I had to use my own from my car. Requested replacement for the two nights I was there, but was ignored. They were disgusting! Free breakfast was bad! Soggy waffles kept in a warmer? Who does that? Bacon sitting in grease! Hotel would not price match even though advertisement said they would if room was found cheaper elsewhere.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The rooms were very comfortable, newly remodeled and they had a great breakfast. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and everyone in my (picky) family was very satisfied and ready for our long day of hiking. We recommend this place for families, couples or anyone needing a good nights rest and a great breakfast to start your day.

Stayed here the night on our way up north. This was a very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast buffet and super friendly staff. Didn't use the weight room or the pool, but I did take a look and they were very clean looking and the weight room had everything for a full workout.

Lovely room with ample space and great decor. Central to all activities. Easy to get around. I did not arrive early enough to use the pool, but it was clean and well maintained. The restaurant was on site and very nice.

Stayed here New Year's Eve so wouldn't need to drive home after attending a function at the Redding Civic Auditorium. We had a great dinner at the adjoining restuarant, C.R. Gibbs, and were just a few minutes drive to the auditorium. The hotel was one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at and was extremely quiet for the number of people there and closeness to I-5. When staying at Redding, this is definitely where I will be.

We enjoyed our stay. We slept well. The breakfast was amazing!!! The pool looked inviting, but it was too cold to use it. The room was very comfortable and the beds were comfortable. Everything in the room was in good working order.

A very nice place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone. The wait staff in the lounge was exceptional. The breakfast was much better than you are likely to find in most hotels. Very delicious but could have been kept a little warmer.

The room was very comfortable but outdoors. With small children I was worried about safety. Would have been nice to have a room indoors. Breakfast was okay.Decent selection of items but limited. Would be nice to have fresh fruits and some additional breakfast items like pancakes and sausages but for the price of was a good deal.

What a treat to find this gem of a combination while visiting Redding. The Best Western is fresh, even undergoing neighboring construction. The restaurant does not disappoint. Menu had healthy options, decor inviting, staff outgoing and friendly without being intrusive. Steakhouse salad was amazing (with bits of candied bacon!!!). Yum.

We've visited Redding three times to see friends that live there and every time we've stayed at the BW Hilltop. Very nice and breakfast and dining at the attached JR Gribbs restaurant are great. Will stay at the BW Hilltop the next time we visit Redding.

We chose this hotel because it is close to our route on the way back to British Columbia. This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel. It is great for traveller because the restaurant is right in the hotel and the food is good. The hotel rooms are clean and the lobby is fine but they were doing some reno when we were there this time. Good stay

This hotel lacks the necessary,interested front-end staff that are enthusiastic and interested in the traveller and their needs.They are unable to upgrade my room yet offer little explanation as to why.If there are no better rooms left,then say so and try to compensate the diamond level with some extra points to keep them interested in returning in the future. Not impressed and not in the Bestwestern tradition regarding customer service!

This hotel was clean, well-kept and the staff was helpful. It is one of the best BW Plus places we stayed at this trip (we stayed in 4 this month and 4 last month). The restaurant food was great, and the morning breakfast buffet was outstanding. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

Quick check-in process, excellent accommodations, excellent breakfast in a specious restaurant area. Comfortable king sized bed. Clean room. Location of the motel was close to I-5 freeway access. Overall was a very good experience.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel at a reasonable rate. Rooms were spacious and clean, staff was great, and the restaurant was absolutely fabulous. We highly recommend the Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn. It is the nicest Best Western we have found on our travels.

The breakfast is a smorgasbord with nicely prepared eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, hot cereal, juices and coffee. The bed was OK and I am not sure why were were put in a handicap room, but it clean and a huge bathroom.

Overall a very good experience. Room was clean, the staff was courteous and professional. My only complaint is that the room lacked a microwave. I would stay there again. I need 30 more characters, so...

Overall satisfaction is pretty high for this property. I was able to have two good meals on site, room was to be expected, sleep in bed was good, fitness center was adequate & heated pool very nice, parking not a problem and friendly staff inside and outside.

The check in lady was very very helpful, but do not have her name. Also the waitress and cook helpers in the attached restaurant (C.R. Gibbs American Grille) were also very good. In fact when I ordered the calamari for dinner, the guy from the kitchen came back and said they were out but that I could order something else, when the waitress brought out the menu he came back and asked me if I could wait about 15 minutes if they prepared a calamari dinner fresh. I said yes and so they brought me my original request with about half as much more than a regular size of the calamari dish and also gave me a free beer while I waited. Great staff and great restaurant staff and food.- a great place to stay and eat! We will surely return again.

good bed, nice room, good service, convenient locations. Best Western has really stepped up it's standards and we will continue to stay at this chain. There were a couple of stains in the carpet which should be dealt with, but we slept well.

This hotel was comfortable and well decorated. It was slightly cold, and the heater worked well. It was on a wall thermostat. The restaurant attached provided an excellent breakfast, with many choices, as well as a stylish, delicious dinner.

This was one of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed. Convenient to all our needs. C. R. Gibbs restaurant was exceptionally good with excellent service. Will definitely stay there again in January.

House keeper walked in on my husband and I naked. it was 10am. Check out is 12. why do they come early and wake you before check out time? Its not right. I told the lady " were still here" when she knocked.. she still came right in. I'm soo mad about that. but other then that.. we love the hotel.

This is the only place I stay when I am in Redding. It is in a central location, clean, comfortable rooms, great restaurant and awesome staff. I am often in the area for work, and I have had no issues whatsoever when I have stayed here.

Hotel has a nice appearance, a restaurant attached, attractive rooms and a great breakfast, BUT the freeway Noise is horrible! Do not get a room on the backside of the hotel! Choose carefully! Breakfast buffet is excellent!

This is an excellent Best Western facility with a great restaurant attached (C.R. Gibbs American Grille). The name "Hilltop" refers more to the name of the street that it's on than to any geographical location. After all, this is Redding. Not a lot of hills to have tops around here. Our room was clean, quiet, reasonably spacious, and had all of the amenities we could have wanted. The desk staff was helpful and friendly.

Redding wasn't our destination, just a place to spend the night on a long car trip. I've had very good luck with BW, Plus hotels in the past so we decided to try the Hilltop Inn. I really liked everything. After a long day of driving I just love being able to walk down the hall to a really nice restaurant and bar. The food and service were great. The only reason I didn't give the hotel an excellent was the fact that our room (with 2 queen beds) was a little small. But, everything was clean and nice and fine for just a sleep over. I would stay here again.

After 2 weeks of hunting Elk in snow, sleet, hail, rain and below freezing temps I was ready for a shower and good nights sleep. The overall appearance of this Hotel was excellant, inside and out. Staff friendly and with smiles on their faces. Atmosphere in the lounge and restaurant were clean, fresh and relaxing.! My room was clean , furniture, etc were nice, comfortable and new.

I have enjoyed myself and was always comfortable and safe. The staff are all team players. I love it here wish I could stay with all of them here forever. It is our honeymoon. Some shops within walking distance that is great increases encouragement to walk and see the sights. Hilltop is great and so was the Lodge in Oregon..

Redding is a great place. Outdoor activities, restaurants, and shopping. The Best Western on Hilltop is the place to make your stay in Redding your base. It is close to freeways for transit to the outdoors. It is close to many restaurants whether you want sit down dining, or need to grab a kick bite.

Redding BW Hilltop is very nice. CR Gibbs is a great place to eat and their breakfast was wonderful. It is very close to shopping and plenty of other restaurants. A short drive to Sundial Bridge the convention center and not far from Lassen Park and Mt. Shasta. Always our choice when in Redding.

One of the best Best Westerns we have ever stayed at! Definitely the best complimentary breakfast we have ever had at a Best Western. Nice, clean room, very comfortable bed and friendly, helpful staff.

This Hilltop Dr Best Western is one of the nicest hotel stays that I've had in Redding. The rooms were quiet and updated and clean, bathroom area was spacious. Bedding was comfortable. The front of the hotel is fun and inviting with an outdoor firepit. The best part of the whole stay is the fantastic Breakfast Buffet. It has a fantastic hot buffet. The egg dishes were so good! And so were the meat choices. The staff are super helpful and keep the area very clean. I

This was the nicest, cleanest, best breakfast & best value of all the Best Western's that we experienced the first 10 days of our trip. The breakfast was especially impressive with a wonderful egg scramble.

The room I stayed in was newly remodeled and beautiful. The hotel was right off the freeway for easy access. The breakfast bar was well stocked with fresh fruit and healthy choices. In my business, we do a lot of work out of town and have never been disappointed with a Best Western.

Breakfast alone is worth the stay! We come to Redding for softball tournaments and the location is perfect off of all the freeway and highways. The CR Gibbs located inside is a little pricey but worth it. The room is the cleanest I have ever seen and just an overall great hotel experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hilltop Inn, but the highlight of our stay was Tina, the young woman who served us dinner at the restaurant. She went out of her way to accommodate us. When we ask if we could change tables from inside to outside, she made sure we had a table near the fire pit. She offered us a sample tasting of wine and beer. She was friendly, efficient and charming. In my 50 years in the food and beverage business, I have never been so impressed with a food server. With her personality, she will go far in life. This hotel has an excellent restaurant - we've never had a bad supper here and service is good (I recommend the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin!) There is an outdoor patio that is always popular but we tend to eat indoors (too windy). The continental breakfast is one of the best we've had. There are plenty of choices, food is hot and staff is very attentive to keeping everything clean. We've only ever stayed one night at a time but the room is what you'd expect from a Best Western Plus hotel. We had to change our travel plans due to the fires in Napa and this hotel was able to accommodate us on short notice.

Although this was just a one night's stay on our trip back to Oregon, the atmosphere and accommodations were a welcome addition to our trip. Our double queen size room had 2 comfortable chairs as well as an office chair and the beds were comfy. Internet speed was great. The breakfast in the adjoining restaurant was a real plus. Food items were clearly marked and there was a nice variety. I enjoyed having breakfast in the roomy restaurant without a tv screen in every corner. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

We were pleasantly surprised by the excellence of this Best Western Hotel. The room as spotlessly clean, quiet and well-appointed. Everything in the room worked properly (the fridge, the microwave, etc.) and there wasn't a spot of dust anywhere. The room we got faced the freeway, but we didn't hear a thing during the night, however the best surprise of all was the breakfast. Everything you could hope for was served - hot eggs, scrambles, bacon, hash-browns, and muffins, toast and bagels were readily available. Everything was hot and ready to serve and was every bit as good (or better) than you could get at a fixed-to-order restaurant. We can easily recommend this Best Western as a great place to stay.

We spent 3 nights w/o incidence. Breakfast was quite good and dinner in their restaurant was well valued and tasty. But, watch your checking in to assure proper room rates as one of our party had problems with hotel accepting the confirmed room rate. We, however, had no problems. This is not a new hotel but has been remodeled quite well.

When we travel through Redding, we choose this motel for location, pet acceptance, & it's breakfast. The rooms had been remodeled since our last stay and were fantastic. Clean, comfortable, & beautiful.

The staff, room and especially the restaurant were exceptional. The food at CR Gibbs was one of the best dining experiences I've had. I had the Ragin' Cajun pasta. It compares to the best Cajun food I've had in New Orleans. Meg, our server, was funny and attentive. We will definitely stay here again.

no waffles and the french toast was cold and had been sitting too long, not fresh.. not a good way to start the day. bed very comfy and restful and the bathroom was clean and a good shower. would stay here again if going this direction.

Good, clean, reasonably priced hotel with pet friendly rooms. Not all rooms are pet friendly, so you will need to call to confirm. There is also a modest pet fee in addition to the room rate. Breakfast was good and a mix of hot and cold items buffet style. All staff I spoke to were very helpful.

The Hilltop Inn was a great place to stay for a couple nights while visiting the area, including Lassen Volcanic National Park. The restaurant is first rate and the rooms and amenities such as the workout room are pleasant and comfortable. However, we were especially impressed by the very helpful, professional and friendly front desk staff. Would stay there again and recommend to others.

My son and I spent the night in room 128 at the Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn in Redding California and woke up to the incessant rolling of trash bins/carts. See photos of the space directly in front of the window and door to Room 128, which became the hub for noise and repository of trash carts. The noise and smell from the carts came in through my partially open window early in the morning and ruined our plan to sleep in. The carts were still lined up loaded with trash when we went to a wonderful breakfast in the hotel. The carts were there when we returned. Our car was parked in front of the room and we had to walk between the carts to load bags into our car.

Needed a room that was pet friendly and Best Western is outstanding in that regard. Breakfast was outstanding (especially since it was included in the price); in addition to regular scrambled eggs, there was a scramble that included Swiss cheese, mushrooms, spinach, and a kielbasa style sausage which was extremely tasty. The dog run was close to our room and relatively clean with only a few poops that were not picked up by other guests even though doggy bags were supplied in the area.

rooms were very clean, fast check in and out, the best thing here was breakfast , it was over the top peaceful area. and good tasting food. Very nice service at breakfast , and work out room was nice and nearby. Used the pool , out side pool was nice, construction going on but did not notice any real loud noise from it.

We always stop at a Best Western but this was one of the best the hotel was clean service was great. Restaurant was excellent food was good breakfast was great everything was a great experience I would recommend this place to everybody who travels to Redding in the staying the night.

We stayed for one weekday night. The room was clean and had the necessary items. The staff was friendly. It could use some updating as the carpet had a worn path and the furniture overused. Our room was on the freeway side and the noise was noticeable. There were low flying airplanes overhead...oh wait, that was the air conditioner. Do request a room away from the freeway for a quieter night. The breakfast was bland. I would stick to the toast and cereal as the cooked items were not worth the calories.

After a long drive from Gold Beach and stops due to wild fires we stopped at Tops Grocery Store and they directed us to Best Western Plus Hill Top Inn. Great recommendation the hotel was neat, clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Best hotel stay we have had in a long time.

Looking or a reasonable place to stay, Found this and was very pleased. Rates where reasonable. A nice smoke free room, very easy to get to. Has a nice meal in the Restaurant, which was good, also draft beers were very tasty.

I wanted to rate this as 4 star, but I just couldn't do it - sorry Hilltop Inn. We stayed as a family of 3 on a road-trip from Portland OR to San Francisco. We originally planned to stay in Mt Shasta, however that was not going to give us much time to get to Levi's Stadium the next day, so we got a great walk in deal at the Hilltop Inn, including buffet breakfast. The room was clean, tidy and quiet enough for us for the 1 night. I would classify the hotel as a transit hotel, for people needing a rest on road trips mostly. I couldn't see many staying here for a vacation. The pool area was nice, however we didn't use it. The restaurant has a great menu, we dined there for evening meal as well as breakfast. If the weather is nice try to sit by the fire-pit, great atmosphere.

My family and i went over the labor day weekend the location of the hotel is safe and very convenient there is fast food restaurants nearby, Denny's other restaurant but my family and I ate at the hotel is was excellent food. The staff is nice and friendly, their breakfast was good they have a variety eggs, French toast, beacon, cereal, bread, juice etc. Everyday is different tastes good. My family and I would stay again

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the restaurant is fantastic! I had called the day before about a possible early check in and the young man was very helpful and said to call an hour before arrival and he would be sure to have a room ready and we arrived and got right in!

5 stars..treated very very well. In town on a family emergency & was given the royal treatment...all the staff went above & beyond to be helpful & courteous!! The room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was great..had all the amenities!! If ever in Redding again, plan to stay there. Will refer to family & friends!

Worst bed I ever slept on. I was charged a higher price I was quoted...but beyond that a very clean and modern hotel. Pool was nice and big and clean. Location is perfect for shopping and dining. All staff very friendly.

We were referred to this hotel and it did not disappoint . Check in was easy and they were able to get me reservations to my next destination. We had an amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant ( Steve said the best short ribs he ever had). We both slept well , no noise. After 9 hours of traveling thus hotel was very welcoming. Would stay again for certain.

The front-desk person was polite and helpful during the check-in process. The room was clean. The room had a fridge, coffee maker, tv, etc. (everything that is considered normal in a room these days). Breakfast was as good as most that are offered in the Northwest US.

I was using a reward night. They gave us a horrible room. Must be the worst in the hotel. I had asked for a quiet room so they put us in the room right by the ice machine and the housekeeping office facing a brick wall - see the photo. We went down to front desk to ask to be moved and were told we would have to pay $15 to upgrade to a deluxe room. We were not bothered about having a deluxe room we just wanted something quiet. My husband said 'so a deluxe room is one that is not by the ice machine and does not look like a prison outside'. And Zachary on the front desk said yes! We asked if we could just have a regular room further along the corridor and were told they were 'nearly' sold out. By now we were just fed up and resigned ourselves to just staying in the room - he said we still want you to have a good experience so I can give you $10 off the restaurant. As we were eating there anyway we took it. We then went to our room to get ready for dinner and the aircon unit struck up - it was so noisy even when my husband was in the shower he could hear it. Imagine a large truck right beside your room with its engine running. We called them up. Zachary came up to look and reset it. He then told us that if we kept it at 70 degrees it would be a low hum. My husband explained that if that was true it was ok, but that he would not be able to sleep if that noise started up again. Zachary left the room and within 2 minutes the loud noise started up again. My husband went down to complain and again he was told he needed to pay an extra $15 for a deluxe room! From what we could make out online the deluxe room is identical to every other room just in a different place in the hotel. He was told a manager would say the same so he asked to speak to the manager. A replacement room was sorted straight away and we were so relieved. This despite the fact that we had originally been told they were nearly sold out. My husband felt awful having to complain as it's not his nature and he even apologised to Zachary even though we were offered zero customer service for a perfectly reasonable request. He refused to listen to reason - how can he expect someone to sleep with that faulty aircon unit? I am so sorry I used precious reward points on this hotel - this was a special vacation for me and it really soured it. The manager Brad was very pleasant and helpful but we should not have been treated so poorly in the first place. We only wanted a room where we could get a good nights sleep. Aside from these issues I would say the rooms are ok - looked newly renovated but they do not live up to the appearance of the grand reception areas. I would never stay there again as we had such a horrible experience on a special occasion. It's a shame as we normally like Best Weatern and the restaurant attached was excellent. By the way once our room was sorted we did not even use the $10 voucher they gave us even though we ate in the restaurant. Wasted reward points on an experience I would rather forget.

Every hotel has its strengths ... while the rooms within this hotel need some loving (all around "ok" but just ok) ... the staff and the adjacent dining room were splendid. To work around a couple of the room issues, stay away from the west side of hotel ... the highway is simply too close and the noise is a tad intrusive.

Don't really know why it qualfies as a Best Western Plus. However, it was nice, clean,and a great location. Room was slightly dated in terms of decor. Didn't get a chance to use the pool. The breakfast at the connecting restaurant was amazing!

Very easy to find, nice location near several restaurant choices. The hotel provides a great buffet style breakfast, many choices for everyone, lots of food. We did not eat dinner at the hotel restaurant so can't give a review of the dinner menu, etc. We especially liked the noon checkout time as it fit perfectly in our travel plans. The only negative we found was the air conditioner in our room was very loud and annoying, but can't say if that's the case for other rooms. Over all it's a great choice when staying in Redding.

This hotel has a very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable (slightly dated décor). Great central location and excellent full breakfast included. Made for a comfortable week long business trip.

During our 3 1/2 week road trip, we had occasion to stay in several different kinds of accommodations. The Hilltop Inn in Redding, CA, as as lovely as any on our trip. It was the last night of the trip, and the staff, the room, the hotel ambience made it a great pleasure. Additionally, the restaurant was an added bonus! Both the last night dinner and the breakfast the following morning were excellent! We greatly enjoyed our time in Redding at the Hilltop Inn.

I stay here for a reason. Even though I have a loyalty card I don't use it because I don't travel enough to warrant it. But when we do travel we always stay at BW. The reason...it's the perfect place for us. Always clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly. At this location there was a full buffet breakfast that was quite good. On our road trips we always plan our stops around a BW. There were four adults on this trip. It was pretty close in the room but we're family so everything was fine. We'll always make BW our road trip stop.

This hotel gets our highest rating on all categories. The service, the price, the cleanliness of the entire hotel. We were so satisfied. Definitely would recommend this establishment. My experience with trip advisor was very satisfying.

This motel was fine but I thought it was a little pricey for a Wednesday night. However, we had driven over 600 miles and I was too tired to check out more places. The food in the dining room was very good.

Had one night at Hilltop Inn - It was very good. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was professional and friendly. Used the fitness and pool/spa and were clean and tidy. We will be staying again on our next visit.

Convenient, clean, comfortable hotel and room. Staff was wonderful. Pet friendly. Great place to stay when traveling with a dog. The restaurant served a good variety of dishes including daily specials. Full breakfast was offered with everything from eggs, potatoes, yogurt, bagels, and muffins.

Great hotel, but an amazing restaurant. We'd stay here again just to taste the pork loin meal. We kept coming back for our meals because they were so very good - with the exception of the fried lasagna. Staff was excellent, rooms were clean. We will stay here again on our next trip to Redding.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Best Western Hilltop in Redding, California. The other hotels in the area left a lot to be desired (there are a lot of homeless in the area) and the Best Western with its onsite security made us feel safe about walking around and leaving our cars with our belongings in the parking lot. Rooms were fresh and clean with all the amenities. Breakfast was fabulous.

We really enjoyed the room, restaurant and lounge. Very helpful staff. At first we were disappointed with the reception of one staff member but another staff member came up to the challenge and found us the room on the ground floor with easy access from our car. She really went the extra mile and did a great job.

Property looks old but the room was very nice and clean. Larger size outdoor pool is a hit with the kids. Breakfast selection and quality was surprising compared to other budget hotels that we stayed in. Added bonus, 2 Tesla charges and 2 regular EV chargers available for guest

The room was spotless and even passed the black light test! It has been a while since they updated the decor but at least it was clean. No microwave was in the room, the bathroom was designed a little odd, and the room was a little small. Now the good! The staff was great, the room as mentioned was very clean. I always assume to get a good breakfast at BW, but this one was the best I've had by far! The breakfast was fantastic, I will stay at this hotel again in the future just for this hotel's breakfast. I would have paid $10-$15 easily for it elsewhere, having myself, wife, and daughter to eat with me saved plenty of money. I will be staying here again in the future!

We've never gone wrong staying at Best Western PLUS. The breakfast was especially nice since it was in an adjoining restaurant. We stayed August 4-5 and August 6-7. Our room for the second stay had been recently upgraded which was a nice surprise.

Am a B.W. rewards member for some time now so I always stay here when needed.....This best western is one of the best ive seen especially the restaurant associated with it....if your traveling in the area this is a great place to park it !

This hotel is a Best Western Plus. Rooms are spacious with a small frig and coffee bar. A favorite - lots of towels! Nice pool central to the property. This makes for a refreshing stopover on a trip to Oregon. (Lots of fires in Northern CA at this time. This and many hotels in Redding housed many teams from all over the state from CalFire.) Oh, as BW Members they forgot the "check-in" gift. That's OK - be back in September anyway! C.R. Gibbs Restaruant is attached via the main lobby. Convenient for dinner and location of the full breakfast that comes with the room rate: great buffet with lots to choose from so great for the business traveler, families and kids!

We found the hotel to be quite satisfactory overall. The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the pool area is very reasonable as well. The main drawback is that it is right next to I-5 and road noise will require earplugs for light sleepers. The included breakfast was great and one of the best. Not only is the food well prepared, but the variety is great, and the seating area is very comfortable too. The staff was competent and helpful. All in all, it was a very good choice for us. In the middle of July 2017, it was also the resting spot for lots of firefighters and their firetrucks.

Need a place to stay on my way to California. I had not stayed at this BW location before because reviews were not very positive but I decided to give it a try. I'm very glad that we did. It was very nice and now my new stopping place when traveling to California. The desk staff, the restaurant and lounge staff were all awesome. Had some of the best fish'n chips in the lounge...enough to share for two. Room was very nice and comfortable. We were on the first floor close to the pool but heard no noise at all. The breakfast brunch was presented as good as any other hotel brunch and the options were awesome. I'll definitely be staying here again.

We chose this hotel as a base to tour Lake Shasta and the Laasen volcanic areas. The room was fine for our purposes, and we particularly liked the pool to jump into at the end of a long, hot day. Breakfast was also good, and we appreciated having the attached bar/grill on site, although there are other restaurants close by too.

The pool and restaurant really made this location a best pick. The room does not include a microwave but tgere is an ice machine and refrigerator. We were on the second floor and I didnt see an elevator or lift but the stairs were manageable. There is construction of another hotel next to the rooms but on the weeke.d there is no work however, monday morning it started up. What I loved most was the fan over my seat in the pool area. The sunset was beautiful as I watched my kids play. The hotel restaurant food is really good too.

After 9 nights on the road, this Best Western was a delight. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The breakfast was very good and everyone of the staff members we talked to were helpful and pleasant.

Nice rooms and pool. Spa is small for size of Inn. Excellent breakfast buffet, all you can eat and variety is great. Had ham,bacon,cereals,scrambled eggs ,juices (2), pancakes,muffins ,breads and other fruits.

The only problem I had is that there was no area for guest that smoke to sit down. It was over 100 degrees out there it would have been nice to have a place to sit and enjoy my smoke after a long hard day of work

Site is next to the freeway but not noisy. Pool and dinning area at one end of a large property. Be sure to request a closer room if need be. Breakfast is served in the attached restaurant and is very good. Staff was very attentive. A little pricy. But overall a decent value.

Very nicely renovated hotel. It's a full service property with restaurant/bar, meeting facilities. Close to freeway and other eateries if you wanted Chinese, Mexican, etc. Highly recommend staying here when you are in Redding

Very good motel with excellent restaurant and lounge. Very fast checkout. Good solid stiff beds, fast internet service. 24 hour security to guard the fire equipment. Plenty of other nearby services, shopping & restaurant's.

This location is within an out driving distance from Lake Shasta. It was extremely hot and having the airconditioning room was nice. We liked the variety of items available for breakfast. All in all we like our stay.

Beautiful lobby, remodeled ground level floor room with very nice decor and all rooms non smokeing. Dissapointed there was no microwave. Great breakfast with multiple choices. Overall rating fairly great.

been here many times and have never had a bad experience. it's handy to lots of beautiful places..lots of good restaraunts. only thing was all the vending machines were gone and we were wanting a soda and snack ..guess they were replacing them.

The rooms were clean and welcoming to a weary traveler. The breakfast was excellent with many choices in a buffet setting. The ease of access to freeways north and south helped. The staff was helpful and the overall location and facilities were great.

Ugh. Horrible noisy,rooms with less noise or on the ground floor 30.00 upgrade for same room with smaller fridge. Double panes windows do squat for that. Even my partner who is a bit on the deaf side o sister we move

Room was uncomfortable. No microwave, small lumpy pillows, most uncomfortable bed I've slept in in ages. I question the "Plus" in the Best Western Plus of this location. The pool area was nice and after check in the staff was nice but over all it is a Motel 6 at BW Plus prices. Would not recommend this location at all.

The Best wester plus Hill top inn has the best continental breakfast of any place we have stayed. The rooms are very clean and nice , the restaurant and lobby are excellent. Great value for money and reliable each time we have stayed.

Have stayed at many Best Western's and this one is just ok. Rooms need some help. They are outdated and in need of repairs. Parking lot is filled with people sleeping in their cars and motorhomes. The motel has an overpriced restaurant with average food and horrible wait staff.

best place to stay in redding, i love relaxing at the pool with a nice cold beer. have the best bartenders in town-very friendly staff along with a great breakfast keep me coming back time and time again

We are coming back again next year with our traveling swim team from Santa Cruz. We all had a fun time and this hotel along with it's friendly staff made it a wonderful experience. Thank you and see you next year!

Selected this hotel for it's convenient location, fair price and nice amenities. We enjoyed the relaxing pool after a hot, day's drive and breakfast the next day was well made and had a nice selection. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but we learned it had a fully stocked bar and seemed to be quite popular with guests & locals alike.

Repeat customer. Facilities are well maintained and clean. Staff are always helpful and courteous. Highly recommend staying here. They breakfast is very good and would cost you at least $20 elsewhere.

It's got a great restaurant with good food for breakfast and dinner and the restaurant serves until 10:00 at night. I just had knee surgery and was happy that there was and elevator available and we could chave express check out.

This place was clean and had the basic room amenities. The bathroom was clean and they even had a wrap over the drinking glasses for cleanliness. Not luxurious, but very nice. The breakfast had a nice selection of items to eat. Not generally a fan of outdoor entrances to each room, but it still worked.

This is a nicely remodeled Best Western Plus motel - and likely one of the nicer places in Redding to stay. It is very conveniently located near shops, dining, movie theatres, gas stations and just 5 minutes from the Sundial bridge and Turtle Bay museum. It's a good over-night hotel/mid-stop motel on your way to any of the mountains or lakes in the area.

Aside from the entire experience being awesome, the breakfast was the best we have had in recent memory. Choice of items, presentation was top of the line. They used china and stainless cutlery which is so good for the environment.

Stayed here for one night and had no complaints. Upon arrival and checking in the staff was very friendly and explained everything clearly. The room was perfect except the bed was a bit hard. The breakfast at the restaurant that connects to the hotel was awesome. Good coffee, and FULL breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, plus cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. The hotel was also very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Took a trip to Redding, Ca to see all of the sights this part of the state has. As I always stay at a Best Western Plus, I usually know whats in store for me. Boy, was I pleasingly surprised. This was one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at! From my arrival to my departure, everything was top notch! As I stayed 3 nights, I ate breakfast 3 times and it was great each and every time. I ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and it also was great! I had the fish and chips and could not finish it all, even though it was soooo good! My room was at or better than my expectations. So all and all, the stay was as I said, one of my all time bests!

It was not a good stay due to the from desk being rude to us and not having reservations for me and telling me that I was wrong and there is no way I made a reservation if she did not have it. Also telling me that I have never stayed there before as I had FPS sure stayed last year at about the same time. That was disappointing to say the least. I don't quite honk I know what the odor in our room was but it was not cigarettes but something else's. If I was not so exhausted as well as my kids I would have left. The breakfast is good, not great, but good so other than that there is nothing special about the hotel. It really is the place for a stop overnight, but I would not stay there again due to the resecptionait being so rude to me and questioning if I had he right hotel? It is funny because you at the hotel want people and guests to satay there and return . That's how it works. If you don't understand this you probably should not be working there. Also after all of this was going on, yes I still stayed there because we were tired from the long ride, and then immediately as soon as she took my credit card and swiped it she said proudly, your card is declined. Wow, now I feel horrible. Things not good too well. She swiped it again and it worked. All I can say is that it was not a good experience. I know things happen sometimes and working for a hotel you have to make it better. Thanks for your time.

Great quality of rooms, staff and attached restaurant. Reception and check out staff were genuinely appreciative and enjoyed their work. They gave us a great room. Gibbs restaurant was outstanding food quality and service. Breakfast was most extensive of all Best Westerns we have stayed at.

not bad but they need to improve their quality of their services, food and fitness for the price they ask for it. The hours for the pool and jacuzzi should be extended at list one more hour. Because of some big trucks we could park close to our room. The sign on the door "Do not disturb" didn't help to keep some of their stuff to walk in our room with not even knock on the door.

After a long drive to Redding, I was greeted by a lovely guest hostess, Vanessa. I had arrived about 10:45pm and her energy was infectious. We needed to switch our room and that was handled so easily. There was a security guard monitoring the parking lots and I felt so at ease going to get my luggage. The room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. I had to work late on the computer. I called the front desk, received the wifi password and was able to work very easily. Fell asleep in a minute flat. So happy. However, here is construction next door, so if you are staying mid week, I would ask how long that will be going on. I had to get up early so the noise did not bother me too much. Most importantly, Best Western, you are lucky to have an employee like Vanessa!!!!

Very good experience ,everyone was nice Great stop before going to Oregon. The breakfast was a highlight. The pool was good and warm. Fast check in and express checkout all done correctly no need for questions very pleased .
