    « Great place! »

    The staff was very nice, friendly and accommodating. My room was neat and most of all CLEAN. When I had a request, it was granted. I had a few laughs with the employees as well. The shuttle service from the airport was prompt and the driver was kind and helpful. Upon entering the hotel I was pleased with the appearance and most of all the smell. I would definitely stay there again.

    We always tend to stay here when we visit South Carolina. We stayed for 4 nights. They have been undergoing a renovation and I must say, the lobby looks great. Unfortunately, we encountered the same issues that we had the last time we stayed. The side door would not always open. And not only that, the door to our room wouldn't open. We had the keys rekeyed but it wasn't the keys, it was the batteries that control the opening of the door. The front desk lady was alone and there wasn't anyone else there and there wasn't a maintenance person either. After an hour, we were finally able to get into our room. The kicker is that the next night our key didn't work again but this time it didn't take an hour, just the time of rekeying of the key. There were a few days that we missed housekeeping, which was okay, but after using our towels twice, I went down to the front desk and the weekend manager was there and when I requested some towels, she just gave me a look and said, we don't have any. I asked when they would be ready and she said housekeeping won't be here for another 20 minutes. That's all she said. Nothing like asking what room we were in so that she could let us know when the towels would be ready. Anyway, for the most part, we had a great stay and we will come back again.

    « Okay stay but I wish I had a better experience »

    I only had one stay on this hotel because my flight was so delayed that my friend and I had to stay a sudden extra night in Charleston. This hotel is fairly close to the airport and although we got a ride to the hotel via a taxi/hotel shuttle service, as a warning if you need a ride back to the airport in the morning before they run a shuttle service, you will be paying for a taxi. I wish they had told us that once we had checked into the hotel because I would've called an Uber driver in the morning instead of paying the taxi driver an extremely high fare. I was frustrated that no one even told us or gave us a heads up about it. We got there later in the night and there are a few food places nearby to walk to and eat. We ended up at the Cracker Barrel near the hotel and there are other hotels in the area. We walked there after it was dark and since it seemed to be a hotel area, it was pretty safe. The hotel lobby is like other Best Western hotel lobbies and although the front desk employee was nice, like I said, I wish she told me about the taxi in the morning. She was nice enough to switch me to a two bedroom instead of the one bedroom when we got into the room and realized the room I booked only had one bed. There is free breakfast in the morning and I remember grabbing a banana but I think there were some normal breakfast fare such as yogurt, cereal and some hot breakfast items. So we ended up in the two queen bedroom for the night and there was enough room for our suitcases and such. There was a refrigerator and a coffee maker in the room. The bathroom had plenty of counter space for two females and all of their items and there was a fan in the bathroom for ventilation. After staying in another hotel without this luxury, it was a nice change. The shower pressure was very nice from what I remember because I really liked it. I did not use the hotel Wi-Fi at all. I used the hotel gym and it was very small but it had cardio machines and weight machine. No one was in there when I used it but it would be extremely crowded with more than two people. There is a TV in there to use and a water fountain. I do not know if there was a pool on the premises. The hotel was decent for a quick night's stay but I wouldn't stay here if you wanted to go downtown just because it was closer to the airport and the shuttle service was lacking. I probably wouldn't stay here again just because of the bad experience I had with the hotel shuttle situation but if you need a quick place to stay, it was clean and they had free breakfast.

    This hotel in North Charleston, SC was very clean, convenient and well appointed. Lodging was the most pleasant part of this trip, whose purpose was unpleasant but necessary. Thank you for the bright spot of the trip!

    Upon checking in the property is located on the same block as 3 others and 1 under construction. I did not notice active construction but I was there on a weekend. The rooms were very clean and fresh. I did see one bug roach like in the bathroom. I did not notice anything else. The breakfast was delightful. The main reason I rate theirs above most other chains is because they have Turkey sausage options. Most hotels have only pork options available. The parking lot is a little small but I had no issues parking. It is located very close to many of the places I need to go. I would stay again

    Melissa was very welcoming. We went to room, 5 min later asked to move to another room since they were not supposed to rent that room. Moved across the hall, unpacked for our stay. Went into bathroom, huge black mold in ceiling above shower. We were ungraded to a Jacuzzi suite, but had to pack again and move up a floor. Unpacked and mini fridge did not work, we need for meds we use. Remote for TV did not work. Talked with manager next day, grudgingly offered BW $25.00 gift card, later offered BW $50.00 gift card. We paid over $105.00/night, would have preferred off bill.The breakfast in AM was good, liked the Dole fruit bowls.

    Everyone was very helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds were a little firm for us but still a very nice stay for the price. Just a short drive to the sites we wanted to see. If in need of a room in the area we would stay there again.

    This stay was due to a changed flight, it was not planned. We found the hotel on I think hotels tonight app. But called and made the reservation. The deal breaker was the price and they had shuttle service fromt he airport in Charleston, SC. Lovely hotel, great stay

    Loved this hotel! Rooms were pretty up to date and clean. Location was perfect, only minutes away from the airport. Rates were very reasonable. Provided a great breakfast in the morning. Staff was very polite and engaging.

    Recently stayed here and needless to say, I had a great experience! Staff were very friendly, hotel room was clean, great hot breakfast and they provided free on time shuttle service to the airport! Will definitely stay here again!

    Just an overnight for a family function on Sunday. We got in around 9PM and the receptionist was friendly and professional. The lobby and interior hall was clean as was the elevator. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Great shower. No time for breakfast but I just called the front desk for check-out and left our card keys in the room. Would definitely stay here again and got a great deal being a USAA member.

    Friendly staff good breakfast indoor pool was an added bonus any restraints very close too a ruby Tuesday a local Walmart and other store 15-20 minutes away from Charlestown which has many tourist spots that are rich in history

    A weekend trip North Charleston was spoiled with this below average hotel that seems to have been revamped and still in rebuilding mode. The beds are stiff and uncomfortable,the air conditioning unit has to be turned up to 50 degrees for room to cool.Barhroom had no cleaning condiments as most hotels do.

    We stayed in a suite and it was spacious with separate bedroom and sitting areas both with TV's. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was the standard selection and kept well stocked by the attendant. Parking is free. No problems.

    The hotel was very clean, the staff was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. They offer free breakfasts and there is room service that is offered until 10PM. The room was clean and odor free but the refrigerator didn't work even though it was running and was on the coolest setting so I had to throw away some food that I brought back to the room that I put in it the next morning. It's a very large hotel with many rooms, parking area was well lit at night however I only saw three handicapped parking spaces and I don't feel it's adequate for the number of rooms at the hotel. It's close to the interstate and minutes from the airport and downtown Charleston. Overall experience was great.

    North Charleston is a little bit away from downtown and beaches, but the hotel is right around the corner from Rte. 26/easy access to get onto it. The hotel is in a nice section with a couple of other lovely hotels (Hyatt and Staybridge, I think). Free parking, lovely lobby with great free breakfast. Welcome party a couple afternoons. Room was large and clean. Bathroom had nice decor/good sized/ceramic tub. Microwave & refrig in room/small coffeemaker. BUT: we stayed in odd-numbered room: the box truck traffic approaching Rte. 26 was very loud and very continual from around 5:30 am to 7:30am.

    « The worst front desk ever imaginable »

    This was truly a horrifying experience I should have read the reviews before I booked it but I wanted to give Best Western Plus a chance. The front desk was horribly rude and nasty. The ideal customer service is a joke. At that price point is it Hyatt place across the street which I went to in the middle of my stay that is much better. Like the manager told me I didn't matter and it doesn't matter what we say I'm going to do what I want to do anyway trust me do not stay

    Spent one night at this hotel off of I-26 fairly decent hotel had a slightly musty smell in the room. Pool area looked nice and the full breakfast was nice. Lot of restaurants nearby and the room was clean.

    Excellent place to stay, close to city and restaurants. Price was ok. Close to Airport and other commercial places like outlets stores. Well recommended for families and business. Indoor pool, breakfast and conference room.

    There are so many other choices in the area at comparable prices that I'm sure will offer better quality. The beds were ROCK HARD, and the overall hotel feels dated. Check In clerk was ver unfriendly and the breakfast is mediocre. If it were cheaper, then it might be worth it - but for the price, it's definitely not worth it.

    Best Western Airport Inn Suites offered all that we needed, great price, very clean and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and to attend to our queries. The breakfast was along the normal Best western lines and a great way to start the day. While the hotel is a distance from the city centre the drive is easy as the freeway is just up the road. There are several eating options is close proximity to hotel.

    A very large group of family and friends stayed at this beautiful and convenient hotel while we where on a 10 day cruise. The hotel only charged us $20.00/car to park our car for the whole 10 days and their shuttle took us to the Cruise Port for a small fee per person and picked us back up. Plus, a FREE Continental Breakfast is served daily.

    This hotel is very nice and the staff treat you very good. From top to bottom they treated us very well. The breakfast is awesome and hot. It is important to make people feel welcome and they do it easily even though they are remodeling.

    The check in staff were quick and efficient. They were welcoming and friendly. Our room was perfect...clean and everything in working order. We had no complaints at all about the room. We did take advantage of the breakfast offered the following morning. They had a lot of choices and the staff was helpful when something got low. The dining area was clean and inviting. The location of the hotel was great; close to I-26, restaurants and shopping. No complaints here!

    The rooms and the hotel overall was very clean. I'm rating this hotel a one for the staff and lack of good customer service. We had a room booked for 4 adults. When we arrived, only one wash cloth was in the room. When we asked for more, the front desk clerk advised we'd met our quota for the day. When we told her that we only had one, she said that someone must've given our wash cloths to another room. She said she did not have access to the laundry facilities and was unable to give us anymore towels. Then, she proceeded to finish the personal phone call she was on. So 1 wash cloth for 4 adults! Wow! Unbelievable! Total lack of friendliness and customer service. I visit Charleston often, but I will not be returning to this hotel.

    I was part of a group trip, so I did not personally picked this hotel. The rate was super low and the service was good therefore no complaint. The room were well maintained for the mot part. The hotel is not really conveniently located, so I would not pick it for a vacation but only if I am visiting someone in town or if I have to find a quick place to crash but not for a vacation.

    Coming here after a two day primitive camping treatment, this was luxurious! Clean, spacious, quiet, reasonable. Nothing special but no drawbacks either. Good place to spend the night while traveling. Love the sign in the elevator -- the same entity inspects amusement parks!

    All ratings are poor holes in walls holes in furniture patches of paint and drywall smells I would not recommend this hotel. This is not a well maintained facility as it may appear you can hear everything through the walls Difficult time trying to sleep

    The Wi-fi would not connect, the room smelled, and we waited 45 minutes to check in while the ONE clerk was on a phone call. The hotel is under renovation and everything is a mess and smelled bad. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE'S STAYING THERE.

    The front desk greeted us let someone they know guy saying they remember seeing our name in the list before check. The hotel was extremely clean and the room was just like what we saw in the internet. When leaving the room fir the day and returning the room was clean and neat just like we first check in.

    « High price for low quality »

    This was our first time staying here. We stayed 2 nights here and were not impressed with the price for the room. We stayed in the largest 2 queen bed suite offered. The burgundy comforter on the end of the bed had white stains on it upon entering the room. The beds are super hard. Pillows are tiny. The room is very quiet. We gotten woken up every time a train passed by the hotel during the night. The breakfast items were your typical dry cereal, bagels and muffins. We had our 4 children with us. In entering the hallway to go to our room there were signs everywhere that said "Wet Paint". That was a little worrisome but thankfully our children didn't touch. If the price fit our experience then I would have rated it better. We were expecting a lot nicer room/bed with the price paid. We will stay somewhere else next time even if it means paying a little more.

    During my check in the front desk rep. was friendly and kept a smile on her face, I had the pleasure of meeting the GM during my check in, she was pleasant and was very sociable.. I believe her name was Cathy. The rooms were beautiful as I can tell everything was brand new ( due renovations) Breakfast was great and Ms. Tausha at check out was wonderful. I would stay again!!!

    Great price and location if you have a car to drive into the historical area. Room was very clean and in great repair with no issues. The bed was nice and firm, nice ref, micro, and great AC. Staff was excellent and offered great tips on travel times and roads.

    We stayed here one night after arriving late at the airport on a vacation in Charleston. They assigned us a room on the 4th floor and said the elevator wasn't working and no offer of help with that was offered. We went out for a late dinner and on return found a man who did help get the elevator working. There were not adequate parking spaces and all were now filled but he directed us to a front curb spot that he said would be ok to park in though not really a parking spot. There was lots of interior construction going on in hallways and public areas. Not appealing. We felt that because it was after 10:00 when we arrived and we couldn't get to our 4th floor room someone should have offered to get us something to eat and to carry our bags up but that didn't happen. The man that was on duty at midnight when we returned from a late dinner was very helpful.

    Overall, I had a decent stay at the Best Western PLUS Airport & Suites. The staff was fine, but not overly friendly or helpful. The room was clean and fine. As with many hotels who have the "CLEAN REMOTES" for their televisions, the TV remote didn't work well at all. I wish hotels would just get rid of those remotes. They're usually a big hassle, because many of the buttons rarely work, which significantly effects your ability to find what you want on TV conveniently. Other than that, the experience was positive. If you're looking for a clean simple hotel and are not looking for anything particularly special, this is the hotel for you.

    This was a last minute booking for a room close to the Charleston Airport. The room was neat and clean and the bathroom was very nice. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous. We didn't really use any of the amenities and there was a breakfast area with a decent selection. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and supplies in the room. Decent sized TV and it was nice and quiet.

    I wish I had went with my original reservation but I dow ngraded to save money. This was a gift for my brother and his friends from college. Totally not a great experince. The staff was curt and borderline rude.

    This had to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Broken elevator, broken printer at front desk, no parking because storage units were in parking places, totally out dated, stained filthy carpet, construction in front lobby, old microwaves/refrigs stored right when you come down to lobby from stairwell. HVAC cover fell off in our hands, no hand soap in dispenser in the room. Need I go on?

    The staff was helpful.Our room was very clean. The hotel all the way around was clean.For the money we spent on the room it was worth it. We didn't have to worry about bed bugs.Which is a huge relief when your on a trip.

    « URINE SOAKED BED »

    Issues upon issues at this property. We booked a large room with a pull out sofa for our kids. Upon checking in and getting settled we decided to get the sleeper sofa ready for the kids. My wife opened it up and put her hands directly in a urine soaked mattress. GROSS. We called the front desk and they stated they would send up a new mattress. Somebody came up with a new mattress that looked like it was 15 years old. He pulled off the urine soaked one and we noticed that the urine when the entire way to the frame of the bed. He was like I think it is dry and just tossed the new mattress on top. Needless to say that wasn't going to fly for us. They did "try" to bring a new sleeper sofa into the room, but couldn't figure out how to get the one in the room out. We were in town for a wedding and there was a big race that weekend so there were no other rooms available. After the urine soaked bed issues just kept compounding, outlets didn't work, safe didn't work. Toilet broke, which they did fix, but they left the old broken parts on the bathroom counter. I think overall it could be a nice hotel, but it needs some work to get up to be a "Best Western Plus"

    « 30th Anniversary trip! »

    Don't let them put you on the back of the hotel. Otherwise, you'll hear police, ambulance, fire trucks & drag racing cars all night long! So much for a romantic trip! Hotel staff knew from reservation & when I called to confirm reservation on Monday before arrival on Thurs. that this was our 30th Anniversary. Didn't acknowledge in any way during our 3 day stay; very disappointed!! I expected better from a Best Western Plus since we've stayed @ BW's before.

    Pro- the staff was great, the hotel was clean, the area was very conveniently located. Con- the coffee was weak, the bed was uncomfortable and the soap was hard to use. The breakfast was adequate, a typical continental breakfast experience.

    I stayed at this hotel for the Cooper River Bridge Run. The hotel staff did a great job of taking care of us. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms and inside of the hotel looks to have been updated recently. Keep up the good work!

    Stayed here during the Cooper River Bridge Run weekend. Room was decent and clean, but the room AC is very loud, and I'm not a fan of the pump shower gel and shampoo dispensers. They were nice enough to serve breakfast at 4 am on the morning of the bridge run, but when we went down at 5:30, there was no coffee, no juice, no water, and no utensils! The desk clerk was EXTREMELY rude when we asked him to help us with some water and utensils, telling us it "wasn't really his job" but since he was the only employee there, I'm not sure whose job it was! Other than that, we had a decent stay.

    Nice, clean place. Water in the pool could be cleaner but it's warm. Breakfast is ok, pretty much typical hotel breakfast. Rooms are clean and bathrooms too. Little bit annoyed by the soap and shampoo dispensers. Give you tiny amount and you have to work hard to get enough.

    A friend and I stayed at his hotel during the last week of February 2016. We planned to explore other parts of SC, and then return to this property on March 4th. While staying during Feb. 26th through Feb. 29th, there was hotel renovation going on, which caused much dust and excess noise and re-routing to the elevator. We were given a room on an upper floor, which necessitated us using the elevator which reeked of mold or mildew. I am extremely allergic to mold, and have been ill ever since with sinus and bronchial infections. While checking out, we advised the desk clerk that we wished to cancel a previously made reservation for March 4, 2016. She apparently never entered this information,, and my credit card has now been billed for that night. I have made several attempts to discuss this with the hotel, but it seems that whenever I call, there is no one available to deal with my concerns. I was promised a callback for the morning of 3/29/16, however it never happened. Since the management seems uninterested in doing any due diligence in resolving the issue, I have had to refer it to my credit card company. I would not stay there again.

    This hotel is close to everything & front desk staff was great with suggesting a good place to eat **Nigels** The young lady in the breakfast area was nice checking to make sure everyone had enough before she took up items at the end of breakfast.

    Well here they have the indoor pool and the pool is really nice. They also have a really good breakfast as well. THen when you get in your nice clean room it is like wow. The beds are really soft and comfortable. So I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to a friend.

    Food was good, nice to get a hot breakfast with several options. Room was clean, water hot, pillows great. Pool had way too much chlorine, ruined my child's swim suit and had to medicate her with Benadryl and eye drops.

    Front desk staff was on the phone during both check in and check out with her "peeps." Made us feel like we were bothering her when we checked in / out / asked questions. Calls to front desk were not answered.

    I had an early flight the next morning and was able to book this hotel which was only a ten minute drive away. They offer airport-shuttle service and had a nice hot breakfast when we woke up. Can't complain.

    I frequent Charleston for my son's hockey games. They are on Friday nights, and can't drive back to Greenville that late. For the price I paid, this hotel was great, spotless, and prob had been updated since I stayed there 2 years ago. Bed very comfortable. Great hotel for the price. The breakfast was typical eggs and sausage, waffles, and continental.

    There was an issue with the way I was charged for 2 rooms I booked. 2 charges were held on my card and I was told when the party I was with paid with their card the 2nd hold would fall off. I will told this 3 DIFFERENT TIMES. I ended up paying for both rooms. Their card was swiped for incidentals only. Other than this, we very much enjoyed the hotel.

    We tried to check in around 4pm but was told our room was not ready. We finally got to our room around 530pm. Very disappointing. We had dinner plans but not being able to get into our room on time gave us very little time to get ready. Love the city and the location was great but I don't think I will stay here again.

    over priced and poor maintenance. no one on duty to fix minor problem. we could not enter room due to dead batteries. therefor we could not access our medicine. hotel offer a replacement room of poorer quality.

    « Room: Appalling, Management: Unprofessional »

    I had a lot of problems with my room. First, the AC/Heater did not work properly. I turned the heater on (it was in the 40's outside), but after 30 minutes, the temperature of the room stayed the same. I even left it off for another 30 minutes, then turned it back on. Still did not work. I found spiders in the bathroom while using it. Finding these spiders prompted me to check the bed for bedbugs. I didn't find bedbugs, but what I found shocked me: my first bed (of a 2-bed room) had blood stains on the bottom mattress cover. Checking other other bed, I found a huge urine stain. I took pictures of these and informed the management immediately. After looking at my pictures, she offered me another room. Of course, I checked the beds of my next room and found one large urine stain on one bed, and another large urine stain on the other. Needless to say, I'm appalled at this lack of attention from the housekeeping and management staff. My co-workers and I (all 5 of us) checked out the next morning. When we approached the front desk, the manager and the housekeeping staff were joking about the situation, mentioning that it was only a coffee stain and not a blood stain (by the way, I've spilled coffee on many clothes that never stained such as this). No mention of the urine stain though! The manager gave a mild apology and another manager offered me a $50 Best Western hotel card. They both seemed reluctant about this offer and half-sincere. Although I took pictures of the second bedroom, I didn't present them to the management due to their nonchalant attitudes to the situation. My co-workers had similar urine stain findings. I've stayed at many Best Westerns and am a rewards member. Though, I'm not choosing Best Western in the future for personal stays and will strongly suggest to my company (they spend tens of millions in travel a year) that they drop Best Western as a hotel option. The situation was bad, the way it was handled made it worse. Oh, did I mention the management was watching a reality show (turned up loudly) in the lobby while we--and other--guests were checking in during the day? No standard of cleanliness and unprofessional.

    As I described in my previous comments Enriqua, Tootie and Cathy put the BEST in Best Western. Always going out of their ways to make sure our stay was outstanding. From Enriqua infectious smile to Tootie humming and singing while we had breakfast. And the same positive attitude from Cathy who must lead by example. Obvious you work with me and not for me! Thanks to ALL at the North Charleston Best Western for making our stay the BEST. Enriqua, Tootie and Cathy deserve some special rewards and recognition and I HOPE tghey get it.

    Due to the recent snowstorm, American Airlines rerouted us through another city. We gave over 24-hours notice to Best Western that we were cancelling our reservation, and they still kept all of our money.

    From the looks of the room, it has been recently renovated. The room looked fantastic and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Even though this property was near the airport, noise was not an issue here. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The location is very convenient for North Charleston. The only negative was that the breakfast ends at 9:00 am compared to 10:00 am at the other area hotels. I slept til 9 so obviously I missed it. It wasn't a deal breaker though and will seriously consider this property again if I come back to the area.

    I've stayed at this property on multiple occasions. Always very clean, check-in staff very accomodating, On my most recent stay, I was put on the first floor, and I was woken multiple times throughout the night by screaming children, and some others loud noises I couldn't make out. It didn't bother me too much, I'm a heavy sleeper. I spent most of the daytime inside of my room, and the staff outside in the hallway were EXTREMELY loud. The indoor pool is amazing, especially during the Winter months.

    My main consideration for staying at this particular hotel in Charleston is the indoor pool, but the hotel is very nice . Location and parking can be problematic . The breakfast is good, did not use any other amenities .

    It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Ok for families, Good service and complimentary breakfast. Close to the airport. Overall a great value. It has a small indoor pool. Attractions Magnolia Plantation & Gardens and Drayton Hall are 20 mins drive from this Hotel.

    The night before I stayed at this hotel, I spent at the Best Western in Greensboro, NC. At that location, I had to sign a waver stating I would pay for any damage to the tub with jets. It was not a full sixed whirlpool. I also has to sign a waver stating I would pay damage if I smoked in the room. They also wanted a credit card for incidentals. None of this was required at this location and the room was probably the best I've ever stayed in.

    I stayed here in December, 2015. This hotel was more than I expected. I feel the price was very affordable. It was extremely clean and the staff was always helpful and friendly. It's also a short drive to/from the airport and major shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

    Good location. Housekeeping service was poor. We arrived the night before Thanksgiving Day so there were signs posted that there would be no Housekeeping service Thanksgiving day. On the day after Thanksgiving Friday , we expected housekeeping and had to call twice before they came finally around 6pm. On the Saturday we left for day outing and got back at 7pm to find that housekeeping came in n only picked up the dirty linen but let no clean linen, the beds were not made and the trash was not emptied and the bathroom was not cleaned! Very disappointing we had go go get fresh linen ourselves and empty out own trash...

    « Nice hotel but shuttle starts late »

    This is a lovely, clean hotel with a gracious staff. However, we specifically booked it because it had a free airport shuttle and then found out it doesn't start until 7am (We needed to leave by 6am.) It cost $25 to take a taxi. We have stayed at many hotels that start their shuttle service at 6am and had assumed this one would too. Otherwise, great place.

    The indoor pool is my main consideration, but the Hotel is nice, staff friendly, breakfast is good, location is good, parking is problematic . Very few hotels in Charleston have indoor pools. Price is seasonable, wish they would offer a more stable rate for frequent customers .

    The location was good with lots of things to do. I was actually surprised at how far the airport seemed from here. Once my wife got our key to our room, we opened the door and to our surprise, their were towels on he floor and the bed not made up. Housekeeping did no have this room on their list to clean so I am thinking it may have been occupied at the time of our arrival. Or he guest clerk made an error. So they gave us another key for another room. We struggled all night with getting cool as the a/c seemed to not work. As I was leaving to check out, we overheard another couple liking about the a/c and how the staff brought them 2 small a/c units to use for the night. I was apologized to bu no discount was given or anything else.

    selected this hotel based on the good reviews on trip advisor. Was definitely not disappointed. Hotel is clean, comfortable, in a great location and the price was great. The indoor pool is great, beds comfortable and nicely decorated. ....evening front desk girl was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and good choices. You will not be disappointed!

    Nov 11/12. We got a great rate and the room was grt. Over all facility was clean and well cared for. The TV was new but the remote did not work. Immediately the maintenance guy was at the door and had it fixed in less than a min. None of the dispensers in the bath worked but appeared to be full. I brought my own so I was good. The staff were excellent and breakfast was good with grt variety. IHOP & CB within walking distance of the parking lot. Numerous eateries within 2 mile radius. Indoor heated pool small workout room coin_op wash/dryers Dislikes: dispensers in the bath were full but didn't work. recycle for cans, etc could have been marked better as people were throwing their trash in them, not everyone understands the colors. Found a used bar of soap in my shower. Didn't appear to have eco for linens or towels. Used to leaving something on the bed to indicate bed linens do not need to be chg'd. Leave dirty towels on floor and they will be replaced. HVAC didn't have a 'fan only' mode. Only worked when the heat or AC was on. Forgot my personal fan so was a bit chilly trying to keep air moving in the room. BEST thing here THE STAFF! They were always happy greeters conversed with their clients. Glad to help you with directions and recommendations for site seeing! I would stay here again!!

    This hotel looks okay, and the staff was not rude. However, they offered no apology, discount, or any explanation when we found someone else's underwear behind the pillows as we were exhausted and heading to bed at 1am. Lovely. There was also a Danish and a fork on a napkin on the TV stand when we entered the room. The fridges was almost impossible to close and was dangerously unbalanced. Missing a foot on the front, it would list wildly as you repeatedly had to slam it, and the microwave perched on top would fly around.

    Clean and comfortable room. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was not great but standard fare for a hotel in this price point. I did not like having no bar soap, only liquid soap at the sink and shower gel in the shower. I didn't ask if bar soap was available since stay was only two nights.

    « GOOD HOTEL BUT NOT THE PLUS I EXPECT »

    Had a taekwondo conference in N. Charleston. as I have come to enjoy staying the best western PLUS's, I figured my experience here would have been on par with others I've stayed at. while I have nothing specific to complain about, it was not the PLUS that I have come to expect. The rooms are fine, the indoor pool was heated, but with the AC on in the pool room, if you didn't stay in the water, you were FREEZING. Breakfast was fine but not as above-standard as other BW Plus hotels I've stayed at. I found the beds to be a little too uncomfortable and they did not live up to the PLUS accommodations I've experienced in the past.The rooms were as normal as other hotels, where other BW Plus hotels I've stayed at seem to be a bit bigger with a few more amenities. I would stay again, but if I can find a better rate somewhere else, I'd do that as I would not be receiving the PLUS advantages by staying here.

    We arrived late and had to leave early the next morning as we were in North Charleston to do "disaster relief". Our room was large, had 2 beds with a sofa and chair in a separate area. Would have been a nice room in which to spend some time relaxing.

    Most of the time airport hotels are too busy for personal service. Not this one. The entire staff made us feel imortant and the room (suite) was nicely furnished and very clean. They even accomodate an early shuttle to the airport so we made our early flight with no rush. The breakfast very good and the lady who kept it going did an outstanding job.

    The service was exceptional, our room was nice and bed was cozy, the bathroom was nice and clean and we had more than enough towels. The location is about a 10 minute ride from the airport - while I was looking for a hotel closer to the airport, I'm glad I choose this hotel. This hotel was close to many restaurants and stores - we found an inside mall, Walmart, etc - the most important thing for me when traveling is customer service and when we walked in I could feel it - Kenya was professional, courteous, helpful w/pointing out things to do in the area and warning us where we should not go due to the storm the previous weekend. The highlight was when the manager on duty Cathy came out to greet us and I understood then that this was a great team she too was professional, courteous and helpful. Each morning we left we were greeted by different front desk staff member,, one night we came in and Cathy was greeting us - I thought to myself again kudos to you for leading by example, rolling up your sleeves and jumping in where necessary. The breakfast was decent, I prefer bacon, but I enjoyed the waffles and sausage w/a little piece of an omelet. When I'm back in Charleston, SC this Best Western will be my preferred home away from home because of the location, friendliness of the staff and because it was the BEST to me!!! Excellence is expected, but doing the BEST you can is just as important! Thank you Best Western for adding to a great weekend getaway

    About 11:30 at night, I feel a strange feeling on my arm. It was kind of creepy. So, I woke up and tried to figure out what it was. When I opened my eyes, it turned out the most terrible experience in my life. I saw an extremely huge bug crawling on my arm. I would never forget how horrible that night was. I jumped off from my bed quickly and used a plastic cup to capture it. I was so upset. I did not know what I was paying for. A scary night? If I wanted a scary night, why did I pay so much for that? Anyways, I called the front desk, and they were saying that they would call the manger. However, I did not think they did because I did not get any response from the hotel after that. They did not even know if that bug was toxic or not because they did not ask. I don't think they care. What if the bug bit me? It is alright that sometimes a little just comes up. What makes me really upset is their attitude. They did not take any consequence even after I left the hotel. I would definitely not recommend this hotel if you are finding a place to stay!!

    Arrived into Charleston late, stayed overnight and drove to another city, Savannah, the next day. Shuttle service from airport was primary reason for stay and shuttle service back to airport the next day to pickup rental car. Just needed a place to lay head for overnight that was reasonable and efficient.

    « Very Disappointed, Would Not Recommend »

    I booked this hotel because it stated that it was airport location & had free shuttle service to & from the airport. We were arriving late to Charleston & the rental car places were all closed, so wanted a location for just one night that was close to the airport with shuttle service. I knew we were be arriving late so I called the hotel ahead of time & told them of our arrival time. When I asked about the shuttle pick-up, I was told that it stopped at 11;00, our flight was arriving at 11:20, but that the shuttle driver would wait for us. We arrived at 11:15, I called the hotel & was told that the driver had to leave at 11:16 & that we would have to get a taxi & pay for it. The next morning I spoke with the manager, Cathy Cuttino, who was very rude & basically implied that I was lying about the information that I was given by the hotel. I would not consider this hotel to be an "airport" location, is quite a distant from the airport. The website should also state the hours of shuttle operation, Had I known that there was no shuttle service, I would have booked another hotel. I also don't believe in paying for a service where my business is not valued & I am spoken to rudely.

    Room was fine. I booked the suite 2 queen beds with a pull out couch. All was fine until the morning we left. We had a flight at 5 am so we left the hotel at 3 am. I told the receptionist at check in I would be paying cash. Upon check out the gentleman, who was very nice, was not aware that I was paying cash so I had to put it on my credit card. The hotel seemed disorganized. There were drunk guys hanging out and smoking in front of the front door. Also as we were leaving in the morning we discovered there were palmetto bugs in our room (cockroaches)!

    I stayed here for one night after a flight in to Charleston. I was there from about midnight to 9 AM. They have a very nice, but simple, breakfast in the morning, 6 - 9 AM. The scrambled eggs and sausage was excellent. They also had waffles, toast, assorted muffins, and a few types of cereal. It was better than most I've had in a hotel!

    My experience was pleasant other than not being granted a late check out, which I contributed to waiting too late to request. Totally my fault. I would definitely stay again and recommend this property to family and friends.
