    « very nice stay »

We only stayed one night but had a pleasant time.Hotel staff was friendly and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast was good - could have had fresh fruit but still enjoyed. My family and I would stay here again.

    « "Amazing And Comfortable" »

The service was impeccable. Specifically, Crystal at the Front Desk and the girls at check out time on the afternoon of October 14, 2016. They were incredibly friendly, informative and they really made my partner and I feel welcomed. It's hard to find dedicated hospitality professionals like this and they certainly deserve to be recognized. We had a breakfast in morning was delicious. Specially thanks Eric Cook and Host. Only didn't want to go Pub cause Last stay Girl at Bar not professionals and bad attitude. But love There

    « Very nice hotel!! »

We were in town for just one night and we booked here. The hotel was beautifully decorated and our room was very accommodating. The staff that we had any interaction with was very courteous and friendly. We had no serious complaints. We didn't give it 5 stars for a couple simple reasons...we never had breakfast(too early for us), so I can't comment on that and we found the bathroom vanity and fixtures to be too low, especially for my 6'5" husband. But I am guessing that the management had the handicapped in mind. Also, housekeeping needs to pay a little more attention to the details, e.g. there was only one piece of tissue left in the tissue box and we found someone's room key on the tv. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

    « Lovely Service »

We had an amazing time, I took my kids to have a bday party and spend the night. We really enjoyed the clean rooms indoor pool and very professional and curious staff. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. We will be coming back.

    « Comfortable »

Very clean room. Bed comfortable. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Did not use the internet or the restaurant so can't comment on these. Would stay here again if ever in the area. Thanks for a good nights sleep.

« Nicely renovated and great staff! »

Special shout-out to Stan, the front desk manager! Even though the hotel was solidly booked, he went out of his way to make us feel like a valued guest. The complete facility looked clean and new because it had been recently renovated and our king bed room was very roomy. We were pleased that the location was close to Peoria where we spent most of our time. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks, Stan!

    « A little disappointed »

Pros: good sized room, mostly clean and comfortable. Easy to get to right off of I-74. Cons: Kleenex dispenser had one tissue left and no spare box, which I discovered at midnight. Housekeeping did not refill the empty the following day either. The bathroom had a burned out light bulb. I also killed a very large (almost 2" diameter) very hairy spider, so while the room appeared clean, I don't know about the places you can't easily see. The "suites" are all on the first floor and have an outside access door, which is obviously a security concern that they don't disclose in the room description. Overall, it was OK but definitely a bit disappointing.

    « Vacation Visit »

Stayed here before and after Spirit of Peoria two day boat trip. Staff were excellent. Had bad storm and lightening hit hotel first night, lots of things wrong. Not their fault except for stopped up plumbing. Last night, all well except for several long black hairs found between my sheets. My hair is white, wifes is brown.

    « Just ok »

I stayed here for a business trip in the area. As a female, I didn't feel completely safe- lots of truckers drinking and going between rooms on my floor. The restaurant attached was mediocre, the gym had old machines that didn't work well and needed repair, however, the stay was cheap and in a convenient location.

    « Great stay! »

We were only here for one night, but we were very satisfied with everything. Our room was wonderful, newly remodeled, great sleeping comfort, large and roomy, refrigerator and microwave, and breakfast included a hot buffet of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and lots of bagel, pastries, cereal, etc. It was well worth the money and if we are ever traveling this way again, we would be sure to stay here.

    « My great stay »

I stayed for a convention with a large group of people. The friendly staff and very accommodating to all of our needs. The breakfast was fantastic and free! We all enjoyed dinner and drinks in the pub. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The convention center was great too. The hotel's catering staff was great, as was the food. At check in we were all greeted by both the owner and manager of operations. They took the time to explain the area, shopping centers, and had even gone so far as to provide our group's itinerary. I am not sure I have seen better customer service!!! Great stay and a great hotel!

    « A very Pleasent stay »

It was a really nice stay. I was here with the wedding group and all the employees made it really easy for us. breakfast was really nice in the morning. The Banquet hall couldn't be any more beautiful. The food at the Reception was nice so the credit goes to the catering company and staff member.

    « Good stay »

Employees were helpful, friendly and professional, quick to fix any problems; everything hospitality professionals should be. Were in the process of upgrading yet kept it comfortable for customers. Very good breakfast.

    « Could be better »

This place is a "private owned" establishment and it shows. They cut cost at every end. When I checked in on a Monday without my co-workers I asked to be on the top floor, the clerk told me that it was all sold out even though the parking lot only had 2 cars in it. When my coworkers arrived they were checked in on the 1st floor were there was a strange order so the same guy that checked me into the 2nd floor checked them all (group of 5)into the "sold out" 3rd floor. This place is a little dark and dated even though they were remodeling. None of the equipment works properly in the workout room. The restaurant attached to it does not have much of a selection and what they do have is not eatable. I ordered a salad that look like it had spoiled weeks ago. I couldn't believe she waitress even served it. I didn't take one bit. I sent it back. There is no patio furniture. We ended up taking the pool furniture outside to sit and relax in the sun. The owner asked us to put it back because there was furniture in the area but guest the week before destroyed it. I didn't tell him that l was a guest at the hotel a few months before and there was no patio furniture in the area at that time either.

    « Can't wait to go back... »

We had a regular two queen bedroom but they upgraded us to a suite. They room was beautiful and spacious. Everything was clean and they had good breakfast choices. We were here for a softball tournament and they made it a safe place for us to stay and practice. They had good breakfast choices and a clean indoor pool. We will for sure come back next year.

    « you won't be sorry »

clean rooms, comfortable beds, good shower water pressure.the breakfast is very nice. the staff are professional and pleasant. requests are quickly taken care of. the parking lot is large and well lit. i doubt there is a nicer hotel in the area.

    « Nice, clean hotel »

If you don't mind older decor this hotel is clean and priced well. Hot breakfast is included, which consists of eggs, hash browns, etc. Close proximity to eateries and only a couple miles from greater Peoria to the west (5 min) and Bloomington Normal to the east (30 min). Would recommend this hotel for business travel, but may look to upgrade if traveling with family.

« Won't Stay Here in the Summer Again »

First off, the beds and pillows were great. The breakfast was much better than we expected for the price. BUT... our room was very damp feeling. We were offered another room but it was only slightly better. It felt like the air conditioner was not removing the moisture from the room giving it an extremely damp feeling. In fact we did laundry while there and had some things that we hung to dry that were still not dry 3 days later. We also had tv issues in both rooms and that was handled promptly both times. Ashland House has some good qualities, we just couldn't get past the dampness of the rooms.

    « First time here »

This was our first time staying here. Our daughter and family are living south of Morton and don't have room for us to stay so we had to find a place. We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a large room that was clean and comfortable. Each day the room was cleaned on a very timely basis which was great. Breakfast was good with eggs and sausage and delicious sweet rolls. We did have some noise from kids running in the hallways but at least that wasn't too late. Would be nice to have a few more outlets in the room but we had a portable multi-outlet device so that took care of it. The bed was comfortable. There are a few restaurants not too far away which was good. And the indoor pool worked out great for having our grandsons there. I'm sure we will be back in the future. Just hoping the rates don't go up!

« Stayed here several times and will keep coming back »

This hotel is always clean, the rooms quiet, and the beds are great! The staff is very friendly and check in and out is a breeze. Breakfast is awesome, the usual complimentary fare but they have a pancake maker and always have eggs and bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries and more. As I said when we are in this area this is the place we choose to stay.

    « Love this place! »

This place is amazing! All of the staff from house keeping to check in to breakfast person are so friendly and helpful! The breakfast is excellent! Great place to stay and great price. Love this place

    « excellent »

this is hotel is always clean and the staff pleasant and helpful. even with road construction the ramps are easy on and easy off. breakfast at the hotel is fresh and attractive. I have been staying at this location several years and have never had any problems. it seems to be a safe and secure location. the parking lot is well lit with ample space. the beds are comfortable and the internet is fast.

    « Great Stay! »

Our stay was very nice at this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite to accomodate our twins. The hotel staff called us before we got there to see if we needed a pack and play or if we were bringing our own. Breakfast had many options and the pool was a nice place to relax.

    « Solid property--4.6 »

This is a solid BW property. Plenty of free parking. Customer service is excellent. Wifi works great. Easily accessible off of I-74. Beds are decently comfortable, A couple of cosmetic blemishes in the room. The only minor concern was a sink drain that was slow. TV selections are decent. Breakfast (which is in the on-site lounge) has respectable choice, hot and cold. HVAC worked great. You can walk to a Cracker Barrel across the street. I would certainly return.

    « Had a great stay »

Had a clean and comfortable room with 2 queen beds and 1-cup coffee maker. Great staff; they were friendly, helpful, and professional. Nice exercise room with a TV. The pool area looked a bit old and uninviting - could use some freshening up. Had dinner in the bar/restaurant. I would have liked to see a menu with more options and healthier food. It was typical bar food. There were no salads on the menu, no fruit or vegetable to substitute for fries. The scrambled eggs at free breakfast were good; the pancakes not so good.

    « a really comfortable stay »

I stayed here at best western for my visit to caterpillar. It was really nice and clean. I loved staying there. Their rooms were really nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning was really great and they had lots of choices. I was there for 4 days and I did not have to go out for anything as they have a restaurant and bar insight. The food over there was really nice and also manager brought some food for me. This was like home away from home. I'm going to stay here with them for my next visit to USA. Thank you for making my trip special.

« Nightmare- Do not have a wedding reception here!!!! »

I don't even know where to begin. My sister had a wedding reception here 3 years ago so I decided to go ahead and have mine at Ashland as well. She had a great experience and everything went off without a hitch. I cannot say the same for our experience. We signed a contract with a wedding coordinator in September and were told that she would be in contact with us around the end of October. I heard nothing in October so I tried calling in November. The manager of the hotel said he would leave her messages every time I called. He seemed annoyed with me and was very rude. I left about 4-5 messages over a three month span and never once heard back from anyone. Finally in February, I demanded I talk to someone because we needed to know food option for our invites. This was 5 months of no contact with a coordinator. Surprisingly, a lady called me the next day stating she was a new hire for the position and nobody had been working in the position for the whole 5 months. The manager out right lied to me the whole time. The new coordinator did her best to straighten things out, but she could not find our $800 deposit, contract, or that our wedding was even booked at Ashland. I could not believe it. We finally seemed to have things straightened out when she realized that the contract we signed was not completely filed out by the coordinator and was missing the minimum we were to spend for the room. Ashland tried to add another $1,000 in taxes and gratuity to what we had originally agreed upon and signed. My mother had to go in and have a very upfront conversation to get this straightened out. We were promised a free hotel room because of all of the hassle we had been through. Wait there's more. This new hire that seemed to straighten things out was let go and we went through 2 more coordinators by the time our wedding rolled around. That is 4 ladies within 10 months. Not to mention we had to go over everything each time. At our final meeting we were told that we would not be comped the free hotel room anymore since it was not in writing. They also were going to charge us for a $250 stage set up, $125 lighting fee, and no complimentary champaign toast that was promised as well. The only thing that the caterers husband through is was setting up the stage for free, which was incredibly kind of him! He was the only one that was kind hearted and great to work with. I could not believe the horrible customer service that each employee had, and they made us feel like we were a burden and were trying to nickel and dime them. It was truly a horrible experience and we will tell the many friends we have getting married to steer clear of this place. So if you want to have a great experience with your wedding reception, do NOT have it at Ashland house!

    « Trip »

We stayed at this nice hotel on a trip to pekin very lovely nice and comfy beds and pillows also they have a pool for you to use and an onsite dinner bar place and it the morning a nive breakfast buffet for you to enjoy !! thanks for a great stay !!

    « Won't be back »

When we checked into our room, I noticed what initially looked like dirt on a pillow. As I looked closer it was someone's mascara. As I pulled the sheets back there were fresh stains and hair within the bed. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and apologetic, however she was the only one there at the time and came up and changed the bed. As we pulled off the sheets there was a nasty brownish stain on the mattress pad that even she was appalled at. She left again to get more supplies. The maid service obviously tried to cut corners. We will not be back.

    « Great Hotel! »

This is my second stay here and I choose this hotel without any doubt because I had a really good experience. My stay this time was really nice. They have remodeled their rooms and the beds were really comfortable. I love their breakfast as they have upgraded with some new items like pancake and sausage links. I was assisted by the manager himself and he was really fast and quick at check in time. They also gave me to go breakfast for my daughter. I would definitely recommend this hotel to whoever is driving through 74.

« Road trip to Kentucky »

Shawn (sp?) was friendly on the phone and just as nice in person. Called to make a reservation as we started the road trip home early and didn't have hotel reservations. Room was clean and comfortable and everything worked! Breakfast was the Irish Pub...and lots of choices!

    « Great stay... »

My stay here was really nice and comforting. I love the way they treated my family. Their breakfast was full of really nice choices. I know for sure that I will be coming back here for another stay again!

    « Good »

We've never stayed here before and was pleasantly surprised! Rooms large and clean, beds were very comfortable! Bathroom nice and big. Exercise room had adequate equipment and pool was nice...would highly recommend. ..

    « Overall a good stay »

Stayed here overnight on a business trip to the Peoria area. Very easy access to expressway. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Grocery store nearby with a Starbucks. Service was friendly. Room layout was nice. I would stay here again.

    « Shame »

These rooms are a slight upgrade from Super 8. Cleanliness is poor. Major problem for me was that the tv would not change inputs. They have some goofy remote that doesn't allow for different inputs. Breakfast is lack luster. Slight upgrade from continental. Pillows suck and beds need updating.

    « Great Value »

The night desk clerk was friendly & extremely helpful. We were just tired and needed a place for the night during our honeymoon. The prices for hotels in Peoria were EXPENSIVE and with this being close we weren't sure what to expect. The decor inside the room was a little worn, but it was clean and the reviews on the hotel were great. The hotel lobby and restaurant looked very nice. The breakfast was excellent (not your typical fare). We would gladly stay again!

    « Not Too Bad »

I stayed here while working in the area and the hotel seemed nice enough. The rooms were spacious and clean and the shower had good water pressure & warm water. The hotel staff was very nice at check-in but that was about the extent of my contact with them. The hotel was being renovated while I was there so it was a bit dusty in areas but nothing too extreme. The hotel was fine for a sleepover and I don't see any reason not to recommend this location if you're passing through the area and need a place to stop off for the night.

« Glass in the pool »

Glass in the pool that my 11 yo found. Took to the front desk who apologized and closed the pool for cleaning. Next morning assuming the glass was cleaned up because the pool was open my 11 yo again found glass. Took it to the front desk where they apologized and then stared at me as I lay the glass on the desk. They didn't offer me anything for the inconvenience which I do not usually expect anything for an inconvenience however we booked this hotel so that our kids could swim and that was not happening with glass in the pool. Very dissatisfied and cannot believe they would let their customers continue to swim in a pool that had glass in it and reported to them twice.

    « Very nice - except »

The hotel was very nice. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked. Except - there was a youth sports team (Junior High ?) staying there and the kids ran up and down the halls screaming and yelling until 2:00 AM. The front desk people said that they had to go into the bar 4 or 5 times to ask parents to control their kids but little or nothing was done. Not the hotel's fault, but still bothersome.

    « Friendly »

Very accommodating in allowing us to check-in early and check-out later. Hotel staff all very friendly. Would stay there again. Breakfast was sufficient, it was nice having it in lounge, more space for hotel guests.

    « Really Nice »

My stay at this Best Western was really nice and I had a good experience. Sean was really helpful while checking in and I was assisted by Stan Patel, the General Manager of the hotel. Breakfast there was really nice. pool was warm for my kids also the fitness room was really nice and good. I would really like to stay here again if I am in the town.

    « Worst Two Days »

During my stay at the Best Western Ashland House in Morton, IL, I received less than stellar treatment. Upon arrival i was unable to check in in a timely manner as there was no one sitting at the front desk when we walked in. After getting checked in, I went to my room which was actually not too bad compared to the other hotels I've stayed at on business. At the end of the night, I decided to take a shower and clean up from my long day of travel. Turned the shower on to very little pressure coming from the head and absolutely 0 hot water of any kind. I called and complained, but nothing was done. Also after my cold shower I decided to get some rest early, all the lamps in the room were unplugged and the clock was blinking from being reset. These are not big deals to me but there are an inconvenience and the whole idea behind hotels is the convenience of your stay. The next morning breakfast was not served at the time they said it would be. After returning the second night from work, again i needed to take a shower and the water was still ice cold. Again I called and complained and was told they would take care of the issue. Also the room had been cleaned but not very well. There was still trash in the trash can. During check out the next morning, I attempted to get my final bill and turn my keys in twice and waited over ten minutes each time for someone to show up. Needless to say, I am not pleased with Best Western and I doubt very much that I will be using their company in the future and also will not be recommending them to my peers or friends.

    « Stay »

One of few hotels that still offer smoking rooms. Decent breakfast and nice lounge. Dinner menu is very limited. All staff members are extremely friendly. I will continue to stay here in the future. Nice place.

« The best hotel in Peoria, IL »

This was the best place to stay in Peoria. I had been to many hotels in the area, this is far the best one. I will return to this Best Western in Morton whenever I return to Peoria for my business as well as family stay.

« BW Ashland House - Warm and Welcoming »

After a long day driving in torrential rain, it was a relief to finally arrive at the Ashland House in Morton. Very efficient and friendly young man at the front desk had our reservation in order and before we knew it, we were settled in our nice room. The room was well appointed, spacious, comfy bed and everything was in perfect working order. We were pleased that there was a clean & working laundry room just down the hall from our room since it was laundry night for us. We ate at the pub on site - warm and cozy, food was very good and there was local craft beer on tap which pleased us. There were only two people working in the restaurant and they were swamped on this night, I suspect busier than usual due to the wet weather, they both did there utmost to keep up with everyone, but they probably could have used two more people in the pub. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Best Western - great stay »

This hotel stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and had free bathroom and coffee supplies for our use. The rate was much better than other hotels in the area. Very convenient and close to the interstate but the room was quiet for a good night's sleep.

    « clean room »

clean room. comfortable bed, friendly staff. a lot of places to eat near by. plenty of well lit parking. pub located on same property. easy access to interstate. quiet and being remodeled. overall not a bad stay.

« A great place to stay with family... »

Nice, clean hotel. Rooms were clean and not a speck of dust to be seen. Breakfast contained pancakes, eggs, juice, cereal, coffee...etc. The pool was a crystal clear blue. No bugs at all. The service from the employees was great!

« By far my worst hotel experience. »

Checked in early at 1230pm. Saw room's toilet tank was disheveled so we tested its flushing capability - NO GO, the toilet wouldn't flush. We immediately called the front desk and informed them. We left for our event and came back to the room at 9pm. The toilet hadn't been touched. We called down again and the front desk person came up (no plunger) looked at it and left. Came back 5 minutes later with a plunger. We offered to change rooms, but this was a no. Then the TV/Cable didn't work. Only 1 channel and it was a bad connection. Might as well sleep at this point. Breakfast was late to start. The originally scheduled guy wasn't there and someone was called in wearing sweats, tshirt and a stocking cap. The apples in the bowl looked good until you picked them up and they had contact bruising/rotting on the bottom. The pancake machine rolled out massacred pancakes. We asked for a manager that morning and no one was on site. We were told they would call us. No one ever called. We finally called them and they discounted our room 50% and said someone would be fired. I wont hold my breath on the firing. WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN EVER!

    « Morton IL-best Western »

I enjoyed my stay. Excellent service, clean room and bed. Room smelled fresh. Beds are so comfortable that you don't want get up. Polite employees...If I had to come back to Morton, I will stay in the same room. I strongly recommend this Best Western.

« Average, no real complaints »

Hotel clean, room was a little dated, but appears to be in middle of renovation. Breakfast was just okay, not a lot of options, serving area very crowded and pancake machine slow and runs out fast. Breakfast seating spacious. Staff very friendly.

« A Very Comfortable and Quiet Stay »

We have stayed at Ashland House many times as it is a days drive from our hometown on our way home. We enjoy eating supper at the Pizza Ranch (mile away) and across the street from Cracker Barrel ( a good place to eat and/or just look around.)

    « Pretty much OK »

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were certainly adequate with a refrigerator and small microwave, but somewhat dark. There was nothing particularly bad with the facility, but neither was there anything particularly outstanding. It was nice to have a breakfast provided, but it also was not particularly special.

    « Great stay! »

We chose to stay here overnight on our way home. The room was very nice. It was clean and spacious. Everyone that we came in contact with were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok. The usual stuff. The man and woman were friendly and did their best to keep enough food out. The only complaint would be that they need to keep the coffee pots full. Over all, it was a great stay and we would choose them again if we are in the area.

    « Nothing to Write Home About-Outdated Decor/Decent Stay »

This is your run-of-the-mill off the highway, 15 minutes out of the city, hotel. Rooms are decent but outdated, and staff is friendly. Cons? Breakfast ends super early for a weekend and the pool invites weekend families with a lot of kids--for almost an hour, we heard pounding in our room, which ended up being a group of kids running up and down the hallway. Hotel staff never corrected the situation.
