Best Western Plus Bentley Hotel & Spa

Booked this hotel before reading reviews and was nervous. The building is dated but the service is great and the room was spacious and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We all need to remember the revenue these venues lost during covid. Thank you for our 2 night stay.

We booked for 1 night to have a relaxing day in the swimming pool and steam room, as my wife has mobility issues we needed to use the hoist to get in the pool. When we arrived we were told that the hoist wasn't working and the pool was very cold due to problems. As this was one of the reasons we came we went to reception to cancel but the receptionist called sofie was marvellous and sorted a discount for us and we decided to stay and had a good stay.

Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice. Bar meals and cocktails were good too. Tried the pool - a little cool, steam rooms and sauna lovely and not busy on a Friday night. A little tired in places, but great value.

Travelled with partner, lovely hotel, great staff, perfect food. Near nature reserve so was perfect for us. Outskirts of town, we walked but if that's not for you and you don't want city parking it's in a great bus route. Didn't use spa but looked inviting, we just didn't have time.

Prior to travelling I had been advised that the leisure facilities were out of action, so I did not pack the relevant clothing - I arrived to find that the planned closure had been 2 days before I arrived and thus the facilities were open after all, but I was then unable to make use of them! During my 2nd night I was awoken at 3am by horrendous intermittent banging, which went on for about half an hour, then stopped. The following morning I awoken to find no water in the bathroom. When I reported this to reception, I was told that "it was Ok because there was no water in the whole of the hotel". When I asked how I was supposed to get ready for work, the response was that there was "nothing they could do". I thus used some bottled water that I had to at least brush my teeth and wash. Surely when the hotel was aware of the problem they could have at least put a note under the door to inform guests what was happening, apologize for the inconvenience and leave some bottled water outside the door! I have complained and still received no apology nor compensation. The hotel decor is very dated, and whilst the room was large there were large chips/damaged areas on the bath, the heating in the room seemed to depend on a wall heater that had no thermostat and thus was either on or off.

This hotel is the pits, if I could rate it zero I would. I was so disappointed. I booked for three nights but after one I just need to get out. The rooms look nothing like they do on the website. The hotel is old ratty and dated. Nothing works as it should. I can only explain it as like a care home in the 80's The pool doesn't work (the heater is broken ) so if you want to swim in freezing water you can !! The steam room is broken the sauna decommissioned and the jacuzzi you guessed it out of order

Took my family for a big birthday meal in November 2023 - mums 70th birthday. Somewhere different and special that must have disabled accessibility and be quiet. So booked early evening to ensure it was quiet. Service was good. Friendly staff member. However considering it was meant to be something special for mum birthday, the menu was nothing more than the pub Nextdoor. However we ordered our food and drinks and once they arrived we were surprised how underwhelming it was. The food was barely warm. 2 of the party had fish n chips, asked for tarter sauce which came in sachets! Not In a pot. The fish had more batter than fish. The peas were dried up like they'd been out of the water for a while. I had gammon which had more fat on than meat. Chips were old and been reheated. Mum had sheppards pie that was cold without any gravy at all. People would say to ask to speak to staff...nobody was around until we were ready to leave and then it was only as another table of guests arrived. So all in all. Over priced (very over priced) for a cold stale plate of something. Won't be returning. I'm sorry. Mum hasn't complained to me because she knows I'm upset about arranging this for her birthday.

Having had a previous bad experience with a BW plus we were a bit dubious about staying here but as it was our Christmas party we decided to give it a go. The general decor of the corridors etc could do with some updating, but we were pleasantly surprised with our room on the whole. Unfortunately the air con had been left on full so the room was freezing and the tv had been left on. However it was quite spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy and the pillows very very nice. The shower was extremely powerful and very hot, and the towels large and fluffy. The main let down was being served instant coffee at breakfast instead of fresh coffee, this is a big no no as far as I am concerned. I would place this hotel somewhere between average and very good, it's certainly better than the last one we stayed in. Get the coffee sorted and it won't be half bad.

We have stayed at this hotel at this time of the year for at least the last 10 years as we visit our relatives graves in Lincolnshire. Last year the menu was poor when we stayed in the summer for a longer period and was only slightly better this time last year. However on this occasion improvements all round were excellent, the menu was excellent and the chefs very flexible. The people working at the hotel are first class and very professional, caring and go the extra mile when faced with issues. The only real issue we had was that the mattress needed changing as my wife on the first night had a bad nights sleep due to the springs being felt. This was resolved early in the morning by wrapping the duvet around my wife to act as a topper. Hopefully this will be changed for when we visit next year. They give excellent value for money and the management can be proud of the improvements they have put in place since last year, thank you.

On arrival staff are friendly room was ok bed was comfortable but noise from the road is annoying although we were up to see friends we was not in the room very much we stayed for two nights on the Friday the car park was empty which meant not a lot of people at the hotel which was great what a different story on the Saturday there was a wedding which was fine but there was also lots of different groups of young lads that turned up from 2am onwards there was doors slamming people up and down the corridors it was a joke no hotel staff controlling this no sleep all night when I rang reception the girl said I will send someone down did she eck. The hotel is also a leisure centre for outside guests the sauna is tiny the steam room hasn't worked for months according to a guy who was a member said they keep making excuses as to why it's not working. All the green on the structure of the hotel is faded and just makes the hotel look old it's disgusting this is no 4* hotel. The breakfast is ok good selection but pot luck if your food is hot as it sits under the lamps. When we come back to Lincoln I will not be staying here again

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was large but with little lighting and dated furniture. Mattress is very… twangy! Probably needs replacing. Overall it's clean and there is shower gel, shampoo and soap. Towels are huge and fluffy which was a nice surprise. Bathrobes also provided. Rooms aren't very well soundproofed and with the road noise combined with neighbours' TV you might want to bring earplugs. Food: dauphinois potato was undercooked (it was still crunchy!) it could have had a nice flavour- although I couldn't eat it- this could have been avoided if a knife had been slipped into it to check it was cooked through. I was offered a free pudding as a result and the tiramisu was delicious.

I stayed at the Bentley hotel in for a weekend in September. On arrival there was a wedding party, which resulted in persistent noise and slamming of doors until 5am. Our room was extremely dirty and did not appear to have been cleaned. The bathroom was covered in mould and dirt. They also randomly decided to close the gym on Monday morning without informing me in advance. When I complained about the issues the reception staff were completely dismissive and disinterested.

Great Hotel. Nice room albeit a bit dark but lovely staff and superb Sunday Lunch. Really nice and clean would highly recommend for those visiting Lincoln and the lovely area. Bed lovely and breakfast too - staff cant be more obliging. Really good enjoyed our stay.

I stay in hotels weekly and have done for the last thirteen years,I very rarely write a review unless they are absolutely good or bad. So this was my first stay at this chain and it will be the last. Checked in on a Monday afternoon,walked into the room and there was a cardboard trainer sock holder on the floor,didn't give it much thought, just shook my head and thought, yes the cleaners have been a bit lax there. I then went into the bathroom and it smelt think it was was the smell of drains but it wasn't pleasant. I then decided to have a freshen up,ran the hot water and couldn't even get it hot,so gave up! As my room was the A46 side I could hear the traffic, so I went to close the window, only to find it was closed, but only had one window handle, the other one wasn't there, only the holes for where it should of been. So Tuesday morning I woke up and went for a shower, yes a cold one as there still wasn't any hot water. I decided to inform them at reception so they could send maintenance up to sort it. I was informed that there was no hot water in the hotel as gas had not been delivered. This is very poor to run out of gas, but poorer that no information was shared to guest by means of personal communication or even a note under the door. I came back Tuesday after work to find there was no hot water again,so another cold shower and no information in the room about the problem. The hot water did come back late that evening. So I put the please make my room up sign on the outside of my door Tuesday night and left it there, my room had still not been made up on the Friday morning I checked out! When I checked out, the reception staff didn't even bother to ask if all was ok with my stay, every hotel I stay in asks this, never seen such disengaged staff to be honest. I couldn't even be bothered to even mention anything about the stay,I just wanted to get out of there. Worse hotel I've stayed in for 13 years !

There is next to no soundproofing in the room. The hotel is near a main road and as a result I had a terrible night's sleep. I was unable to use the pool as it was too busy at 6.45am. I didn't receive a receipt for the stay and forgot to ask as I assumed they would email it. As a result I have no recept for the meal I purchased and may not be able to claim through work as it was a business trip.

Sorry, my whole experience revolves around sleep…lack of on this occasion. If you get a room upstairs, next to the busy road- it's loud! Add the lorry parked in the lay-by, switching its engine on/off all night! I haven't left yet 2am writing.

The hotel is desperately tired and rundown and the room (they called it a suite which it was not) was dark tired and very uncomfortable. The mattress was knackered and the pillows and duvet very rubbery. Carpet was stained and the whole hotel was very tired and just not clean. On a positive note the staff were pleasant and the food fine although the restaurant was one of the most soulless rooms I have ever seen.

This hotel is generally good, good clean beds and very friendly service. The swimming pool and spa are added attractions which make this a nice place to stay. However i would avoid dining in the restaurant as the food was not up to the mark, and the interior decor very stark and old fashioned.

Situated not far outside Lincoln (5 minutes drive) the Best Western ticks all my boxes. Rates are less than many city centre hotels and it has its own expansive carpark. In Lincoln that is seldom true. The layout inside isn't at all confusing and the room I stayed in was impressive. The gym is well equipped although the items have seen plenty of use, but it hasn't impaired their performance. Breakfast was plentiful with every choice anyone could want. The staff were polite and helpful and things were dealt with promptly. The bed was comfortable and so was the furniture. A proper information folder was provided which hasn't always been the case elsewhere. Friends who stayed too were equally impressed. Minus points were: safe was inoperative and couldn't be repaired in the timescale; air conditioner remote had no battery cover and they were depleted - but it still worked! Neither really affected us adversely.

Couldn't find any fault, lovely friendly and very hard working staff, very high quality meals and choice, lovely modern bar area, superb breakfast, large comfortable room with good shower and excellent TV. Leisure facilities we used were great, pool lovely temp, great jacuzzi and sauna. All round a greta stay and greta value for money, nearby Whisby Nature park well worth a visit

Visited bank holiday weekend with a friend using a groupon voucher and felt we got a real bargain for £27 each. We had full access to the spa which is next door to the hotel, which had a good sized pool (lovely and warm) several steam rooms and scented showers, foot spas and jacuzzi Yes some things weren't working fully but there was still plenty to do and everything was really clean and well sign posted. The staff were lovely, showing us round and we both had afternoon tea (tasty sandwiches with four different fillings, atleast five different mini cakes and a scone each, all fresh and bottomless tea/coffee) served in the hotel We had lovely cozy white robes and slippers to wear and fresh towels and the lockers were nice and big- changing rooms were spotless with hairdryers available to use Best bit was upstairs in the relaxation room where you could sit and chat, or lay and relax after the lovely Indian head massages we had- terrific treatments from two lovely ladies who were both skilled and also that rare type of beauty therapist where they're chatty and friendly rather than stand off ish ; we had a good laugh with them - we really enjoyed it and went for a wander around the garden centre next door too so spent a good 7 hours there

We stayed in the poppy suite and were quite surprised at the condition of the room. There is mould on the wall under the right hand window, the right mattress of the double (two beds adjoined) has a significant dip from age / use, the old TV Cabinet we opened to look inside and the bottom flap is loose and fell off. The bath is very dated and chipped. Generally the room is very old looking. In future we will most likely use the travel lodge or Damon's for the standard of room in comparison of cost. The pool was nice to use and a good temperature.

I received this Spa Day as a birthday treat from my partner so don't wish to sound ungrateful but received a phone call as we were about to set off to arrive for a spa day with a back massage treatment to be told there was noone available to do a massage so had to have a head massage instead. This was very relaxing and the spa staff were lovely. However, there was more equipment that didn't work than did. Only one hot bed working, only one foot spa working, steam room out of action, both tropical showers out of order. We then had afternoon tea, this was average, but the clotted cream was definitely off although after 10 mins searching for a staff member to come and look at it, they tried to tell us clotted cream was supposed to be lumpy. However, they did replace it with an alternative pudding that was very nice. All in all an enjoyable day but at the same time a big disappointment. Probably wouldn't advise going anytime soon.

Wanted to visit Lincoln for a while so took the chance and booked a weekend. Arrived at 3pm and booked in with no problems . On walking in the main door we were greeted by a huge sparkling lobby area. The staff explained everything about the hotel and where things were and the times of the pool area. We were in a room at the back of the hotel away from the road which meant we were looking over gas canisters and the bin area but it was quiet enough. There are 2 pubs within a 5 minute walk and a McDonalds and Burger King also within 5 mins. We used the pool area on both evenings and it was amazing. Pool was quiet and included a Jacuzzi and Sauna. Also has a steam room but that was out of order. Never ate in the hotel but plenty were and the bar was ticking over. The room (standard with king size bed) was really nice, if maybe a bit dated, the bed was fantastic and there were the best pillows ever .Large TV and tea making facilities made it even better .Bathroom was large enough with a towel heater. Shower was great although took a couple of mins to heat up. Shampoos and gels etc provided. Probably the only downside was that we didn't have robes ( not a big deal tbh)which according to the website we should have had(maybe I read it wrong) but staff said they weren't in silver. A lovely hotel in a lovely city with great staff. Highly recommended and we will be returning

Bought a spa day through Groupon, all day spa access, robes, towels, facial and afternoon tea for 2. Was sceptical at first as hotel spas don't usually have much to offer but was pleasantly surprised as this has more than most! The pool was out of action, no ones fault just one of those things but had jacuzzi, heated loungers, foot spas, experience showers, relaxation room, sauna, steam room and salt cave to keep us occupied until our facials. Everywhere clean, staff lovely, very polite and helpful. The facial itself was delightful, gorgeous scented room with relaxing music. Afternoon tea fresh and delicious. The only thing negative really was the very small changing room with poor shower, I'm glad it was quiet when we went but all in all, an excellent day and would definitely go back!

Unfortunately the hotel was near a very busy road which I did not realise when booking. Despite that the room was a good size, a little tired looking but it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and had a great shower and there was plenty of cupboard space ( I like to unpack). We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and enjoyed it. Breakfast was £11 per person and the selection was very good. I can't comment on the spa facilities as we didn't have time to use them. Staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely return!

I recently stayed in the hotel the room I stayed in was ok but not 4 star standard it was dated and the bed wasn't made to 4 star standard as I stay in a lot of 4 or 5 star hotels I was recommended this hotel from a friend. I was greeted at reception by Monika who was incredible helpful with everything. I ate in the bar with a few friends. The food was pricey for the steak but definitely worth every penny. The service was very good but there was a server that was very bossy/loud to her colleagues, however I had excellent service from Justin and then I spoke with Connor and he gave very helpful tips about where to go in Lincoln. Overall a very good experience in the hotel

Very friendly staff, Pool area was a little tired and could do with somewhere to sit and relax there was only two hot beds and the steam room not working in that area. The sauna was Ok although a little small but the other steam areas, Jacuzzi and foot spa were fine. Best bit was the relaxation room which we spent most of our visit in with basket of pastries and coffee was really nice. Had a great back and neck massage from Bethany and Amy and to be honest was amazing for the price. The afternoon tea after was great thank you

I would extremely advise not to visits or stay at this hotel my weekend away ended in a completedisaster now I've caught a fungus called ringworm which appeared when I had gone in the swimming pool so Im thinking they don't clean there lockers or something another and there's photos to prove ! Don't visit !!!!

Staff all so friendly and helpful. Food and service very good. Room very clean and comfortable. Shower in room was best ever. Pool a little cool, but really good to swim in as did not make eyes sting. Slight downside was steam room out of service & changing rooms need a freshen up. Would be good to get same showers as in rooms.

Friendly staff upon check Inn. Room good size but not enough tv choice. Pool was freezing cold so didn't go In long but sauna was good to use. Steam room was out of order. Didn't dine in due to the price of a meal but did get the buffet breakfast which was really nice and good value for the price.

Be aware, the room we had (104) had a very broken matress, one side was collapsed, i couldnt be moved to another room due to them being sold out , following my stay i contacted to ask for compensation, i was told i was lying and that the mattress was infact brand new, i do not complain infact this is the first hotel complaint i have ever made, ontop of this they had a fire alarm test at 6:40am Sunday morning of which we were also not made aware, no apologies on check out and again when i tried to complain i was told i should be happy they tested them in case of a real fire.

Stayed one night in twin room. Bathroom looking rather tired and a bit shabby Comfortable bed and good sound proofing. Limited TV services but wifi pretty good in my room I got quite a good room rate compared to other hotels in the area and the facilities at the Bentley

For the price of these rooms you'd expect they would be a little more up to date. I don't know what took longer, the 3 mile walk to my room, or the wait for hot water to trickle out of the tap. A bar with no ice available and very poor light in the room made for an expensive but disappointing night away.

Had a wonderful day at the spa, lovely swimming pool and thermal suite. Fabulous massage, half an hour there did more for my neck and sholder than 12 weeks of physiotherapy . Finished off with a proper afternoon tea, dainty and tasty. The staff were all lovely, thank you for making it a really relaxing time.

Firstly to warn those who have not stayed at this hotel before, there are ‘loud' rooms located next to the motorway and ‘others'. Prior to arrival was not informed the pools filet and heating was not working, just a hose pipe pulling it up. Yet was informed by the manager that it's above legal requirement (not freezing). Two fire alarms set off one at 4am yet not apology given. Over all the photos on the website are nicer than the actual hotel and simply don't try complain as the female manager was extremely rude. Will not return!

This is the third time I've stopped at this hotel. I have found the staff to to be warm friendly , informed and responsive. I found the amenities (leisure are gym pool sauna ) to be clean and accessible. The room was prepared and cleaned to the expected standards.

My daughter was booked in for a trim and wash/blow dry,she absolutely loved the results and thought Cheryl was brilliant,she was buzzing all afternoon and sent photos to her friends,Witnessed first hand the total professionalism from staff in the spa centre and would recommend it to everyone,Thanks everyone from Ella and her dad x

Highly recommend. All Staff outstanding. I mentioned pool was very cold and not happy but was reassured that someone was coming out to sort it and we was given complimentary mud treatment in the spa during our spa visit. We look forward to our return

Felt like a time warp to what would have been amazing in 1989 however so clean and staff were everything you would expect at a 5 star hotel. Nice quiet, good size swimming pool, fairly decent gym. Great parking.

I had read some recent reviews and didn't know what to expect but from my experience I don't know what people moan at , the staff were really friendly and my room was ready half an hour early , I made the most of the gym , sauna and swimming pool (had the whole thing to myself) my room is exactly what I would of expected , hood shower and clean , bed was comfy and room very spacious (116) …£3 per day to use the leisure facilities , breakfast buffet style was up to standard , I enjoyed my stay and would return

During September Our stay was a poor experience on many fronts, the evening restaurant menu and service was poor and the quality of our meal was also poor.Other items were not Plus standard.I wrote to the hotel manger but did not receive a reply We decided to give them another chance and our stay this time was much better and like the service we have had over the last 12 years. No complaints at all this time.Carol in the restaurant and the breakfast was excellent as usual, the quality of food was excellent and all other staff were very polite, professional and keen to help.Monka at reception was excellent and went the extra mile to ensure our stay this time was improved. We will return again next year

Only stopped one night but was perfect went to Xmas market which was a taxi ride to centre came back drink in bar Beds comfy and rooms lovely and clean also used the spa which is a bonus Thank you will stop there again if come to Lincoln x

We saw the recent reviews and were a little hesitant for our arrival but we are glad we stuck with our booking, staff were very friendly and helpful, bar and food service was high quality, rooms and facilities were to a high standard and the spa was perfect.

I stayed with the wife this weekend in a premium suite. I have to admit it will probably be the last time I do stay in a Best Western hotel. I say it all of the time, but they all seem to be dated and quite run down. Staying in a premium suite I expected more. Especially at the price we paid! Bed was comfy but that is all I can say positive about the room itself. I must say the staff who work on reception in particular were fantastic! Went out of their way to help, offer recommendations for our stay, and were just genuinely pleasant. Just what a hotel needs on Front Desk! The pool is quite large but Jacuzzi and Steam room not functioning which was a little disappointing. We had some treatments at the Spa and that was fantastic - the staff were lovely.

The so called spa is a joke. It used to be a reasonably warm pool but now it's just a very cold pool plus on/off steam room and as a result I have cancelled my membership. It's ridiculous that they are allowed to advertise this with a spa pool. It's dirty and needs serious attention. It could be so good if it was up to date and clean and a real draw for local people.

Probably the first and last time stopping here. There are quite a few issues that need addressing if they can crack that then it maybe worth the money I was charged for one night. Used tissues under the bed , over cooked breakfast and no bread for toast. Shower needs some serious sorting.

Leisure facilities membership _ridiculous prices for swimming pool only as i was told no sauna or jacuzzi due to energy costs currently, but hence membership of £30 per month is crazy, surely you should reduce this price to get business through your memberships, especially as all you get is the swimming pool, hence I won't be joining and going elsewhere for this price in which I can get included for £30 sauna and jacuzzi and swimming, I do appreciate its challenging times, but you need to reflect the reduction in membership price, surely members are better for your costs than no members, just my opinion but clearly other reviews express the same issue.

Worst 4 star hotel we have stayed in. All facilities was turned off due to rising energy prices yet this did not reflect on the prices customers pay to stay. The only facility turned on was the pool which they turned the heating down on to save money, so I lasted 10 minutes before I needed to get out due to it being cold. Not once before payment are you informed of this. No housekeeping until your departure day due to keeping costs down. Had to retrieve basic things myself like a room service menu, notepad and pen, tea and coffee and slippers and housecoat. Not really what you expect of a 4 star hotel. Poor, poor, customer service regarding complaints- avoid this hotel.

Our hotel room was lovely, no complaints. The breakfast was better on the Saturday and fine for 2AA. The staff were lovely & seemed helpful. There are plenty of the usual places to eat within walking distance if you want cheap & cheerful and there are plenty of nicer places in Lincoln or the surrounding countryside. I would have rated the hotel higher, but I booked for the Spa facilities and was very disappointed to find it was going to cost an additional £18 (£3 each / day) and that the jacuzzi & steam room was out of action anyway. After seeing reviews that the pool was cold, we decided not to bother).

I booked a spa weekend for my friend and I. Staff were very helpful and friendly when booking over the phone. We chose there as I'd previously had very good stays. When booking the spa I specifically asked if the price covered both of us and she said yes, however when we arrived discovered it was actually per person and we had to pay the same amount again. This would have been fine except that the jacuzzi was broken and we weren't made aware beforehand, the pool was cold and hotbeds could only be described as luke warm. Additionally we booked 45 minute massages, they were 15 minutes late getting us and the treatment only lasted 30 minutes. We were not asked what kind of massage we wanted, I only wanted something gentle and relaxing and what I received was more like an unconventional sports massage. However the staff were very friendly and kind during our visit. The food in the restaurant was lovely, slightly ruined by a very loud family who had been placed next to us despite the restaurant being empty. They then complained about us making noise at 11pm when we were just talking quietly in our room, just to then spend 7am-10am shouting loudly down the corridor and waking us up, however this was not at the fault of the hotel or the staff. Overall a pleasant stay, just some inconveniences

Just stayed here with friends for her 60th birthday. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large and very clean. Amazing powerfull shower. The jacuzzi and sauna was closed in the pool area but for a extra charge theres a amazing spa experiance connected to the hotel. Dry sauna. Wet sauna. Foot spas. Waterfall showers and the mud tower was fab. Covered ourselves in mud and the steam activated the minerals then wash off and exfoliate with salt crystals. My skin has never been as soft. The lady on the desk was lovely and made us coffees in the relaxation area. Finished off with a swim in the pool. Amazing. We did,nt have food there as a harvester 5 min walk away. Would definitely return. Thankyou

Called in for lunch had a club sandwich which turned out to be 2 slices of bread with a slice of chicken and bacon and a few crisps it was not good and the cost was £13 absolute rip off!! Will not return. What used to be a nice restaurant is now a overpriced cafe

Like many have said, signs everywhere stating this is a spa hotel, yet has no working sauna, jacuzzi or steam room as shut due to increased energy bills!!, My room is ok apart from the Luke warm shower and the fact the have removed the fuse from the extractor fans to save money?? The food looked ok, asked for the halloumi fries and I am sure they gave me mozzarella sticks as tasted nothing like halloumi, also you pay £13 for a burger and get no fries. I think the food and drink are slightly over prices, it was £3.30 for a pint of coke!!

Room was ok very basic we had to pay to use pool steam room jacuzzi and sauna out of bounds note saying due to inflation it's out of action only reason we picked this hotel no one informed us till we saw the signs. Spa treatments was non existent even though sign saying treatments available we came for a wedding anniversary

We stopped in Lincoln on our way home from the North. The room was comfortable, but it was very near the road. The traffic noise went on all night in spite of double gal==lazing & our shutting al, the windows. If you're going to stay here make sure you get a room which is not too near the road.

Despite the it's name this hotel has no proper, working spa. The only wellness facility which works is the swimming pool. We were told at the reception that the management decided to close down sauna, steam room and the jacuzzi due to the rising energy prices. Why not the swimming pool? Because they still want to able to sell tickets, without providing the advertised service. There is no mention of the massively minimised service on the website of the hotel. Very poor and dishonest management!

Spa not working because they wont pay the Electricity (Like the towel rails). Hotel guests now charged £3 to use adequate gym and cold swimming pool. Book a normal room as the Exec rooms are not a worthwhile upgrade.

My Husband & I would Definitely recommend this hotel. Sophie the receptionist was lovely very helpful nothing was to much trouble for her always smiling they did a veggie breakfast which was very nice.

We came here today to use the pool, but once again we were shocked to find that the sauna/steam rooms and jacuzzi were not working, despite being told that they would be working by Saturday. However, the staff still have the cheek to increase the membership price just to use the freezing swimming pool. The low temperature of the swimming pool is concerning, especially for elderly customers. Talking to other members in the pool, it seems that people will stop coming. Staff say that they are waiting for a date for the sauna rooms and jacuzzi to come on which is a downright lie, as in the reception, we heard them talking about keeping the facilities out of order to cut down on electricity ! Also, the pool really should be for 16 years and above only, as today, children were jumping in the pool despite signs clearly indicating ' No Diving', an getting in other swimmers' way. The pool is not a splash park for children, and is not fair to other customers who pay membership to have a peaceful leisurely swim. I shall reiterate, if the staff keep up the act of the facilities being 'out of order', they are going to lose customers and money. I for one will not be renewing my membership here.

If you're planning to stay at this hotel, please may I inform you that the only facility available at the Leisure centre is the swimming pool. Jacuzzi, hot beds, sauna and steam room have all been switched off. The pool is slightly cooler than expected but ok. Guests staying at the hotel are requested to pay an additional £3 per person per day, to use the pool. Just wanted to make guests aware of this as the hotel does not have any of this information on their website. This is a real shame as many guests chose this hotel because of the leisure facilities. On a positive note Lincoln is still a super place to visit for a getaway beak.

I never tend to write reviews on hotels, but wanted to leave a review here, to thank the staff and give a general overview of the hotel stay. Staff: 5/5 I personally think this is one of the best features of the hotel. To name 3 in particular Monika and Jake on the front desk and Carol from the breakfast team were all brilliant. All three were very polite and couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as they could. Facilities/Activities: 3/5 The general decor and finish of the inside of the main areas of the hotel was professional and aesthetically pleasing, the room size was more than adequate (bigger than some other rooms I've stayed in for much more money) and had the welcome addition of an air-conditioning unit, and a reasonably sized t.v. However on the other side the room needed updating, it could have done with a new sofa as the one in my room had essentially collapsed in the middle, the bath was warped and had been stained through long term use. And the kettle in the room was slightly leaky and very outdated. The pool was very clean and well looked after as were the changing rooms. However again suffers the same problem as the rooms, could use updating, and a note for those using the sauna, there is an exposed metal panel on the inside of the door which can be somewhat of a hazard and isn't great if you catch it. Is a dangerous thing to have and should really be replaced. Sleep: 2/5 A big thing for anyone staying at a hotel and sadly something that let my experience down. As somebody who is well over 6 foot, the bed was small and I found the nights sleep difficult. Didn't find the bed comfortable and it was very noisy if you moved even slightly which woke me up on multiple occasions. Another problem was that the noise insulation was not great and I was woken a good few times due to people in the hallway and next door using the facilities and having very loud late-night conversations. Food: 4/5 Bare in mind here I only experienced the breakfast, I found the cooked breakfast and accompanying coffee good with a generous selection of options for both cold and hot breakfast. The food staff will also make specific additions to breakfast where possible to the self service.

Mother and I stayed here in July. The hotel was really excellent, nothing was too much trouble, and the spa was excellent. The fire alarms disturbed us, but someone had not shut their bathroom doors :( There was a good choice of food at breakfast, and the hotel itself was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area, well done and lots of love to you all, particularly Sarah and Connor xxxx :)

Promised so much from ratings viewed before stay. Such a disappointment. Staff very unfriendly, problems with highly priced room that we were not offered any compensation for or goodwill. I would not stay again.

The Bentley might not be the most modern hotel I have ever stayed in but it was certainly the cleanest. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful and the food was plentiful and cooked to perfection. Upon checking in we were made aware we could use the spa facilities which we did, all very clean and easy to access. I would definitely stay again.

I have used this hotel for many years but in truth this time I was disappointed. The decor was a little tired with worn carpets and curtains off hooks. No controller to work the air con. The shower leaked over the floor. An extra item was placed on my credit card bill with no explanation and to top it all someone tried to get into my room during the night because they were given the same room key as me! It can be a noisy hotel as it's close to the road but that's what you should expect. On the plus side the bed was comfy and the breakfast plentiful.

The Bentley hotel was an extremely lovely experience, really clean, food great and service fab. We stayed between 14th-16th June and it could not have been a better stay. A very special thank you to the restaurant staff who came and found me after I had left an item in the restaurant, thank you very much.

Rooms very of a good size, standard in design. Fine for a night or too. Friendly staff, good food and drink selection. Spa and pool could do with a spruce up but nice to have the facilities available.

To call this a spa hotel is a joke. Took my girlfriend there for a treat and was embarrassed by how shabby it was and would not recommend to anyone unless you like travel lodge standards. Hotel requires a total refurbishment. The only positive was the bed was comfortable

Stayed here for a one night stay. Staff were all friendly and first impression are quite grand. However the finer details are starting to look a little tired around the edges. The room is ok. Clean and presentable. However the air con didn't work so has to sleep with the window open so some outside Noise was heard, also the heated towel rail did not work. The safe was also locked and closed so we're unable to store any valuables we had. We were at a local wedding in the City and arrived back to our room about 1am to the alarm clock going which had we been in the room might of been a surprise or annoying to any guests next door. Although we did sleep well we did awake to some noise from upstairs and the corridor. Cannot talk about any leisure facilities or food as we did it use. We paid 81 for our room and looking back maybe was a little steep, I stay at many hotels and was surprised to have to sign a no smoking in room acceptance on check in.

Arrived at the hotel and asked about an upgrade, paid to upgrade to an "executive" room. The room was dated, splash marks on walls, ripped cover on ironing board which is attached to the wall, sofa not great and alarm clock in the room that's about 20 years old! On looking around the room one of the cups wasn't clean, brown and sticky on the inside and the bathroom floor had little curly hairs on it, clearly the room hadn't been cleaned properly. Took the cup to reception and asked for a clean one, was told the one I took down "wasn't that bad". Decided to overlook these points and head to the gym and pool. Gym old and tired, equipment damaged and then jacuzzi was closed prior to us being able to go into the pool, enough was enough, asked for full refund and left the hotel, I would not have been able to stop in this hotel and relax. I was made aware a refurb is due with new owners, let's hope they give this place the money and attention it so desperately needs!

Clean comfortable room and good value, everything there just what I needed for the night. Did not use any facilities as we had a family event to attend. Car Park is ample and being near the A46 a plus side.

Found the hotel to be very clean, fairly modern & the staff were professional, polite & informative. The Spa is owned independently now & I wasn't aware when I booked my treatments if the 15% hotel guest discount available. Kicking myself!! The spa facilities are great by the way. As are the leisure facilities, although a little worn in places. Very quiet when I went, which made it all the more enjoyable. Will stay again.

Excellent value for money would stay again. The bar food looked good, we Only had onion rings which were better than average and breakfast had a good selection. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

My stay at the hotel was enjoyable, especially after a hard day at work. My room was clean and presentable and the bed was extremely comfy giving me a good nights rest, making it a struggle to get up in the morning. The power shower was incredible, certainty one of the best showers I have had in decades!!! Breakfast was tasty and enjoyable. The service I received was of a high standard and am grateful for it. I would have no hesitation in revisiting this hotel again

Our family of 6 had a less than perfect meal. We waited for over an hour and a half to receive our food, one meal came out a good 20minutes after the rest. My meal had raw roast potatoes and cauliflower and was swimming watery gravy. My nephew was given the wrong meal to the one that he had ordered. We had to ask three times for our drinks, and a jug of water was supplied, but no glasses came with it. My nephew also had to ask for a steak knife, which eventually arrived. For this class of restaurant, the meals and service provided were well below par

Planed a family birthday meal at this venue. We were seated ok and perused the menu, got a sense from the waiters of inexperience amongst them. Eventually we ordered our meals and drinks, 1/2 an hour later, we were still waiting for our drinks. We managed to attract the attention of another waiter and he was somewhat surprised we hadn't received them and said he would chase them up. Three times we asked where the drinks were, still nothing. Eventually after almost an hour they arrived along with some of our meals one of which we didn't order which was (steak, that was over cooked) but accepted due to the long wait. One of our party hadn't received their meal, it was in the kitchen, they had forgotten to bring it out. “The roast of the day” which included raw cauliflower and raw, roasted potatoes! We declined sweets fearing the worst. We did complain and were told due to staffing issues regarding Covid , this was the reason for our experience and we were given a reduction to our bill. Not sure how that affected the chef's ability to cook vegetables. So disappointing

Had the most refreshing break at The Bentley. Sophie checked me in and made sure from that moment on that I was extremely well looked after. Although the decor was dated, my room was most luxurious with a jacuzzi bath, a most comfortable bed and high quality furnishings. I enjoyed an evening swim before coming back to settle down for the night. Check out time was a most civilised 11am so I had plenty of time to collect my thoughts and enjoy a leisurely morning. The planned refurbishment will make a huge difference to the look of the hotel - in the meantime, the care and concern of staff like Sophie make it a first class place to stay.

Unfortunately due our overnight stay their was issue with the kitchen, so menu options were limited. Luckily we had a big lunch on route, so this was not too much of an issue. We chose the Bentley Hotel due to having a indoor pool, but the children only got to use the pool in the afternoon once we checked in. We had planned to swim again in the morning as advertised would be open from 8am, but due to maintenance was not available until 9:30, by this time we were looking to have breakfast and check out. So had 2 disappointed children, who's disappointment grew as the buffet breakfast was then cold.

Where to start. Well let me start by saying the people that work there were lovely. Unfortunately the room wasn't. It was freezing cold on arrival and took 6 hours to warm up and in the morning the hotel boiler had broken so no shower. After a night out before one was a bit smelly and remained that way till I got home. I had planned to go shopping in the city centre but went home early because I didn't want to go shopping feeling dirty and smelly. Guests were getting the night refunded but not me. Because I booked through hotels.com ( Expedia) I was not entitled to a refund. Offered me a breakfast. Wow!! I declined as why would I go into a restaurant not having a shower. So all in all a wasted weekend. I would also like to add don't use hotels. Com as my review which got submitted got rejected. Can't stand the criticism huh? My post was well within their guidelines and when I clicked the link to re submit another it said I could not as already had made one. Nice. So only good reviews allowed. Also while I'm on the subject be wary of Tesco vouchers not refundable or transferable as I found out when my friends wedding got cancelled and I did not need to use the hotel. Hotels.com lied I would get a refund from Tesco. Obviously I have no proof on the webchat I had with a Columbian woman who told me that but I bet it's somewhere.

Came here to relax and to celebrate the Valentine's Day. Pool was great, they also have a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. However in the evening we went to their Martini bar for dinner. They let everyone eat in their restaurant. Service was very slow, it took them ages to bring an orange juice after we've finished the initial drinks and main. Then we asked if we can have a dessert. Again after 30 minutes they came with the menu and after 20 more minutes one of the waitresses asked us if we're ok so we could finally order the dessert. These came briefly fast however when we've asked if we can put the food on the room and pay the next day on check out we've been told that this is possible so the first waiter went to pick up the bill. Then the second waiter came to tell us we can not put it on the room so we have to pay now. Whilst waiting (again) we heard a third waiter offering the option to put the bill on their room to the table next to us. That's when we've asked why we've been told different things. In the end they have managed to put our bill on the room. We will be back because we loved the spa facilities but we won't eat here again. Spending 3 hours to eat one starter, main course and dessert is too much time wasted.

this hotel is a 4 star but the staff make it feel like a 5 star the hotel is always spotless and the pool is so relaxing. only fault i could say is the breakfast for children could be improved. look forward to my next stay

A property that is ok value for money, any issues that we had were dealt with efficiently by the friendly staff who made our stay. The bar area is a nice place to relax and the breakfast is really good, well cooked foods d loads of it.

Lovely friendly 2 night stay, staff could not be more helpful. Rooms big and comfortable. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. Plenty of parking. Well equipped gym and swimming pool that does not require pre booking.

Leisure birthday break. Reception, Spa, Gym and room were all great. Only the evening meal prevented 5/5 - food good, but drinks overpriced and service poor. Didn't try breakfast the following morning

The rooms are very tired and are in need of a refurb. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and due to covid they were not coming round to put fresh towels or replenish the rooms. They also did not provide bath robes due to covid but I'm not sure why they are any different to a towel surely they would just get washed after our stay. I had to ring several times for clean mugs, more drink sachets, more clean towels, more toilet roll etc and don't get me wrong the staff were very helpful and always brought what we needed but would it not make sense to have the right amount of stuff for the required days so we didn't have to keep pestering the staff. The bed was horrendous, very uncomfortable and the pillows were so big your neck was always tilted so high in the bed, I woke many times in the 2 nights I was there. The heating in the room was not sufficient (again granted staff brought an electric heater) but the heating did not work at all in the bathroom and the room would have been freezing without the electric heater. The shower pressure was ridiculous it drenched the entire bathroom I've never known a pressure like it and it wouldn't change at all and like I say I had to put towels all over the floor to stop it from drenching it. I have given a 3 star because the staff were helpful but I wouldn't look to stay at this hotel again without a refurb. We did use the pool facilities once but again they are tired and could do with a refurbishment. Unfortunately I will not be looking to stay at this hotel again.

Really cant fault this hotel. Staff were lovely, service was great, food in restaurant was brilliant & very reasonably priced too. Chain pubs nearby but glad we stayed in the hotel as I'm sure the food was of a superior quality & good value. Only issue were the spring loaded pillows, they just didn't want to squash

The place is dated by at least 40 years, has no clean open spaces, a tight atmospheric-less bar, dreadful restaurant with the least diverse menu I've ever seen (egg and chips, steak and chips, bigger steak and chips, gammon and chips) the room was characterless, the staff unhelpful and rude and they have a plaque on the wall with the cheek to suggest the price of a single room is £100+

Went for our Christmas lunch felt very safe staff very nice and the starter and sweet but not worth the £63 poor selection of vegetables and cold and some hard even wouldn't go for Sunday lunch definitely felt like it was all cut backs

Hotel was clean but needs a bit of updating ,the staff were very pleasant and helpful,food was ok and bar prices ok ,we didn't use the pool and gym but we have in previous visits and was ok ,I would happily stay at the Bentley again

Ok first the absolute positive about this hotel. That is the receptionist monika she is absolutely lovely! That is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. I booked a standard room for four nights and on arrival found the room to be a bit stuffy and musty, she immediately upgraded me to the executive room. I cannot fault her on this at all. She absolutely acted in a very professional way and did her best in what I can only describe as the best of a bad bunch of rooms. For the price the quality is pretty bad. The new room was better but still had a slight musty smell and the bath had bad rusty stains and the tiles had stains in the grout. That was acceptable but still a little disappointing for the price paid. All would have been well apart from the fact we for-fitted a pub meal as we thought the restaurant at the hotel would be better quality. What a disappointment! We order gammon and twice cooked chips and fresh scampi and twice cooked chips. What we got were frozen chips and frozen scampi. No problem sent it back and told them to take it off the bill. However then a lady (not sure who) came over and tried to justify the bad food (even trying to say the frozen chips were twice cooked ….. so what does that mean? But worse that that continued by blaming it on covid and problems with supply. We are talking potatoes here !! We are in Lincolnshire! Potatoes are in abundance! They just need peeling and cooking. Staff shortages and lack of supplies! Come on its chips!! Anyway I said I didn't want to argue please just deduct it off the bill. I went to bed hungry. The swimming pool water was clean and it is a good warm pool. However there are broken tiles on the pool surround which running a private rental in spain - I would not get away with this. The changing rooms again are dated and the water in the showers takes an age to get warm. Worse thing though was I went for a fairly early morning swim on the second day and the bin in the changing room was half full, no lid and a used sanitary towel in plain view!! Come on guys you can do better than that! Well circumstances were that in the end because of a work commitment we only ended up staying two nights. But to be honest it was enough. This hotel has good potential but it needs a big financial injection of cash to bring it up to standard to justify the amount they charge.

Overall excellent value for money . From booking in to checking out we could not fault the hotel staff , fantastic , especially at breakfast. Taster meals especially at breakfast . good choice of menu nd excellent sized roms

Five friends met here for Sunday Lunch about a month ago, the food on the carvery looked very inviting, however, it was only warm and not anywhere near hot. We were served at the table with two large gravy boats of gravy which were also only Luke warm. We called the chef who was carving the meat to our table and he just shrugged his shoulders and said he would check it but did not offer to change any of our food. After about an hour one member had to find someone to serve us with a dessert and coffee. Due to the length of time we opted for just the coffee, no order was taken and one person wanted tea which was brought to us when asked with a rude comment, you only asked for coffee, the coffee was very strong, not hot and served with cold milk. Had an order been taken we would have had different coffee or at least hot milk. We complained on our treatment to the duty manager who also had a bad attitude and the worst part of this our complaints email and letter have been ignored. If you like tepid food it is the place to go, the food itself was fine. The couldn't care less attitude is unacceptable. We have been to the Bentley in the past on numerous occasions, for meals and events always very good, now none in this party will be going again in the future.

Agree with most reviews that this hotel is dated and a bit soulless, but it was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was okay. However be warned, our room was next to the A46 so sleep was constantly disrupted by traffic noise, which we didn't appreciate at all. Why build bedrooms 10 metres from a busy main road??? Not value for money at £170 for a room only deal - but then it was the Christmas Market so that's a green light to whack up prices!

We had a family 90 th birthday meal . They was 22 of us .we only had two members of staff serving the food and drinks . All the food as not served all together from the starters and the main meal and dessert .and some of the food was cold . We had no heating on in the room . Very cold room .

Weekend to visit the Christmas market. Hotel staff excellent, welcoming and ready to cater for all our every need. We had the Carole suite. It was large, clean and tidy and the bed very comfy. The swimming pool and facilities were excellent and just right. The food and service was efficient and freshly cooked. One comment is the hotel has a 90s feel to it which could be saved by removing all the dreadful canvas art work which just does nothing to enhance the decor! All in all a very good weekend despite not being able to get to the Christmas market due to the extremely muddy conditions. Perhaps the hotel could consider a shuttle bus to the market in future.

Not a 4 star!! Very tired and needs updating. Under staffed but they did their very best in the circumstances. Service was very slow and a few people got fed up with waiting and walked out. The martini bar is most unwelcoming and has no ambience. It could do with a little music!! We were next to a very busy A road which was so noisy and maybe this should be mentioned in the hotel details, so that people can at least request a quiet room. Only one storage heater in the room that needed to be turned up to 30 degrees to throw out any heat. We paid £200 for a room only, one night stay and to be honest, we expected something so much better. Would have been better at a Travelodge! Unfortunately will not be returning

We regularly use this hotel as a venue for our functions but sadly, standards have nose-dived since our last stay. Every part of the hotel that we visited looked jaded and run-down, Our room was dirty and contained four empty bottles left by the previous occupants. Staff were not wearing masks, despite signage requesting hotel guests to wear one. The meal at our function was good but service was painfully slow. * The breakfast was a joke. A single standard domestic toaster was provided for over 100 guests leading to long queues. Food at the breakfast was swimming in grease and was, at best, luke-warm. The plates had not been warmed and the first four plates that I took from the stack were dirty. When I went for my own meal there were no eggs, no beans, and no bacon, two of these empty serving containers were not replaced for over thirty minutes. We shall be looking for a different venue next year!

having stayed for the first time at a best western in northumberland earlier this year and having such a wonderful experience there i was really looking forward to a couple of nights away with my partner for my birthday in lincoln at another "plus" best western. i was so disappointed, the lobby looks like a cheap motel, very much reminded us of Crossroads, the decor was old, tacky and cheap. the hotel was full of work men, the bar felt unwelcoming, our room was 10ft away from a very busy A road with articulated lorries speeding past the window all day and night, the curtains didn't even block out the light. i was so tired at 5am i went to reception to complain. the heating only worked on full, the bathroom was dirty. the breakfast was really poor, i could finish it and we only ate it on the first morning. extremely expensive for what we actually got and not as described. a cheap travel lodge would have been far cheaper, cleaner and would have felt more of a celebration than this.

Friendly staff, good service and nice food. The reception area had flowers and the receptionist were all lovely. The bridal suite was nice but needs updating, no bath Robe , slippers or bottled water, which I would have expected , the room is big with a four poster bed. We had drinks in the bar and the service was good even though the bar staff were extremely busy, food in the restaurant was good and plenty of choice, we enjoyed the cooked breakfast, I asked for egg alternatives and that was no problem.

When visiting friends in Lincolnshire we stayed here, big car park on arrival, staff at reception very helpful, we were given a free upgrade in to a lovely suite. Meals were always well cooked and very good value, the staff are so hard working, but always very friendly. Pool and spa were nice, but needs a little TLC, but don't we all after the last 2 yrs. We would definitely stay here again when we visit.

Comfortable hotel requested quiet room which was carried out. Hotel could do with a bit of flourish to personalise it, and it is a £12.00 there and £17.00 back distance by taxi to the centre of Lincoln. Swimming pool excellent.

We wanted a hotel near Lincoln for a restful family stay. It was all those things (well not that near Lincoln - cathedral etc - but I should have read the map better!). Check in was confused, some parts of hotel a bit dated, but rooms fine, breakie had breakie things and pool was okay if a bit crowded. It was all "fine" but felt a little bit overpriced for what it was.

The hotel has recently been taken over. Hopefully they upgrade and decorate. The hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. Everything about it feels old fashioned. The decor, the bathroom fittings, bed linen and general decoration. The room was a nice size and clean but very dated. The spa and pool area is very tired with tiles missing and small changing areas. The note plastered on the wall about it being closed during lunch for the staff to have a break is verging on rude with the exclamation mark and bold letters. Get a more professional sign that doesn't make people feel they should grateful you could just state opening hours. The bed was really comfortable. The thing I was most disappointed with was breakfast. It was the worst tasting breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. No choice of milk just semi, only tea and coffee served, raw bacon. I overheard someone asking for vegetarian options (pretty standard these days) if not offered as standard signage should be made clear it can be asked for. All served on a counter that's so hot it's dangerous to hold the serving tongs although they do have a sign to advise this. Cold crossaints and no other pastries. I hope the hotel gets the attention it needs from the new owners. Good luck it has great potential.

Have twice been to very special occasion here and been left very let down. The majority of the staff are lazy, unhelpful and rude. The floor on the second occasion was sticky to walk on, in a cold room and it took 20 minutes before even drinks where offered. The meals where thrown in front of you by a very aborted, un smiling dark haired waitress. The blonde hair old one was wonderful and should be manager. Meals where all different sizes , gluten free ones where put on plates that had gluten on them. On second occasion the manager arrived at the end after asking for the bill , stood in the corner and announced that they could only supply 1 bill for everything for over 25 people. Wasnt able to or want to explain why or help in any way and left. This was then taken to main reception ,where the said manger was even worse and again the same lovely blonde haired waitress came to the rescue. If you have a food allergy do not touch this place unless you want to leave in an ambulance, or with covid as no face masked where worn, accept the manager which was why we couldn't understand him according to him!

booked l night for my grandson and partner who was 21 that day, made a long journey to the hotel , and asked them to put banner on the bed and cake and cake topper on the table as a surprise, they did manage the cake still in box no knife and banners and cake topper have never turned up , they just couldn't be bothered , very disappointed

Last minute booking via booking.com. All other hotels in Lincoln centre unavailable or over £100. 7 miles outside Lincoln. (Tip - if you want a taxi to take you into Lincoln from this hotel book 5 hours earlier - yes seriously!!! ). Adequate room, clean, tidy. Didn't use facilities so can't comment. Literally a base to visit Uni student in City centre.

I booked this hotel for our 24th wedding anniversary, having been many times before. It is a 2 hour journey from where we live but what I like most is the fabulous restaurant, or so I thought. On the journey here today all I could think about was what would be on offer in the restaurant tonight as it normally offers very different culinary delights. I had checked the website before booking & checked it again in our room on arrival. When we entered the Jewels restaurant we were given a menu which was basically pub grub. I asked the waitress if they had another menu & she said things had changed since Covid & this was the only menu they now offer. If I hadn't already had a drink, I would have walked out & gone elsewhere. The food was actually very tasty but I do not expect to eat Lasagne for a special occasion. We have some excellent restaurants at home but thought this would have been a nice treat. If the website had mentioned things had changed I would never have booked this but the website actually gave a sample menu which doesn't exist. Best Western (or owners) you need to get your act together & advertise what is actually available. I could have stayed at a Premier Inn & been offered the same for less money. Obviously I will not be visiting this hotel again & I do not want a patronising reply from Carole Wootton as I have seen previously on other people's comments.

We chose this hotel as it had a spa for our weekend away. The hotel is very clean, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Its s good base to visit the area. There is a very busy road along side the hotel however this wasn't an issue. I would say it was definitely value for money even though in some area's it could do with a little updating.

Needed a place to crash for the night after a long drive and a trade show. The hotel is a little dated but eveything is solid and clean. Staff were accomodating. Breakfast was excellent – 10/10 full English and a bucket of coffee. Plenty of parking. 10min drive from Lincoln if you're that was inclined. Would happily stay again.

This is the second time staying at this hotel. The staff are so professional and pleasant. Beautiful and clean hotel and nothing is too much trouble. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna are so nice and relaxing.

Having had a terrible experience previously at the truly awful Best Western in Boroughbridge, I was reluctant to book another BW but took a chance as this one was conveniently located. In the main it was an average stay. The staff were generally subdued with customer relations skills lacking which clearly needs to be addressed urgently by BW management. The bar area was all indoors but the aircon temperature made it uncomfortably cold to sit there so I ended up sitting in the lobby. The restaurant was a better experience with pleasant food and atmosphere and the staff seemed a little more relaxed in that environment. My main gripe was with the room which whilst clean and nicely decorated was right next to the A46. I don't mind a little traffic noise but the room was too hot to sleep without some fresh air and the road noise too loud to sleep through. I therefore tried the old,clunky aircon unit which made a noise similar to a generator so again impossible to sleep through. Finally the pillows were so hard with no bounce at all and like sleeping with your head on concrete which was a shame as the bed was really comfortable otherwise. The hotel was full so I couldn't change rooms. A positive was that the TV was stuck on subtitles which I tried to remedy but couldn't so I called reception and a nice professional man came and sorted it out quickly and efficiently. Overall Best Western really need to sit up and take notice of customer expectations these days. Other chains are eclipsing them for both service and comfort.

This hotel is very outdated and poor standards. The food is low quality with very slow service. I ate on the evening of arrival but did not stay for food the second night despite a food allowance. Would rather pay for something decent than eat oily cold undercooked food on an allowance. The room I stayed in was next to a very busy road. Honestly my overall stay was very poor and disappointing. Think some renovations are desperately in order.

Large room (lots of wasted space), good buffet breakfast, aircon not working (not reported as middle of night), hotel could do with updating looks wise. In general good but very soulless and generic hotel.

Staff were masked, and could not have been more helpful and friendly. The pool was wonderful - the frst time we'd swum since the lockdowns began. We had room service for both dinner and breakfast, at no extra charge because ofthe pandemic, and we really appreciated this small touch to make our stay less stressful. Both meals were great. I cannot think of a reason why we would stay in this particular area again, but if we did, this is the place I would book.

My wife and I stayed here in August and first impressions were not great from the unkempt car park and out out yndoor areas to the duty managers arguing in front of us because the room wasn't ready, this being 2 hours after the time we were told we could check in, this resulted in a half hour wait in reception with all our luggage whilst the room was prepared, we noticed this seemed to be normal and most the rooms were still being cleaned and prepared meaning other people would also have to wait for rooms. Once we eventually got into the room we left our bags and went out for the evening, it was late when we arrived back so we did not discover until the morning that, we were meant to pre order breakfast (should have been told this at check in) so we didn't get anything to eat, and that several facilities in the room did not work so we couldn't get a proper wash, the decor was dated and dingy in the room and communal areas weren't much better with all the corridors having marks and scuffs on the walls. We couldn't even access the "superfast" WiFi as it was very hit and miss throughout the hotel and when it did connect it was either without Internet or lost signal and instantly disconnected again. Overall we would rate this on a par with a backstreet hostel and not an upmarket hotel and would not be staying here again. Based on this experience we will not be using any other best western establishments in the future.

So underwhelmed by our experience. The hotel is neat and tidy and the rooms have basic essentials you would find in any 3 star hotel. The swimming pool, sauna and gym was good But they are a basic council leisure centre standard than a 5 star hotel. The WIFI was so slow at times it was annoying. The evening food at the restaurant was quite poor. Service took a long time. The tomato soup tasted exactly the same as the tomato base used for the pasta we ordered. The prawn crackers were soft and soggy with oil. Breakfast had a lot of options with croissants , muffins etc but they all were basic supermarket quality. Sausages were good but very salty. My other half booked this place for the convenience, pool and sauna. For 135 pounds and for a 5 star hotel it was disappointing.

this hotel is excellent , it was spotless and the staff coudnt do enough for me and my family, pool is brilliant kids loved it. Breakfast needs improving for the price overall stay 5 STAR have already booked again for later in the year.

The 4 of us stayed this weekend 13/14 Aug 21. Lets get the good points addressed first! It has ample car parking, with a good number of disabled spaces. Hand sanitisers and Covid reminders clearly visible. Large foyer and reception area. James and Sue at the reception desk, both friendly, very helpful and engaging. (Congratulations Sue, hope your wedding day soon is everything you wished for x) Check-In was straight forward and uncomplicated. The bar itself is small and the room holds a good number of people. Comfortable seating and tables all around. The range of drinks is limited but will cater for most people. The staff are smartly presented and cheerful. I will mention Zilke, Gemma, Ewa (pronounced Eva) and Amy. They were on duty this weekend in the bar and the adjoining restaurant area. The restaurant area is small but opens up to another area (wedding venue probably) so caters for larger crowds. The evening meal we had was good, hot and again, the menu caters for most tastes. I had the roast beef dinner and it was good. The chef approached each table asking how the food was (Personally I liked that). Some people moaned that the Pizza was too hot, but it did clearly say with 'Jalapeno Peppers', so this was unfair really imo. The breakfast was an average, self service style with fruits, cereals and cooked English options, Tea/Coffee and toasts brought to your table upon request. This is what let it down.......There needs to be clearer and much larger road signage visible as you approach. The one that was visible had been obscured by other signs, so coming from Northants and not being familiar with the location, we drove past it. The name of the hotel conjures up a feeling of good quality. We booked an Exec Room, and for its price, all I can say is that being larger doesn't make it more luxurious. It was quite disappointingly plain and dated really, the bed was comfortable but the air-con unit was so noisy this was annoying when trying to sleep, and the noise from the passing traffic was continuous. The carpet was old and dated, the tea making facilities comprised of a kettle, 2 carboard cups, and a few sachets of tea, coffee, 1 x hot chocolate sachet (really should be 2) and sweetener/sugar/sealed milk pots and two packs of biscuits, all huddled together on a small shelf. The bathroom was OK, ample clean towels provided, 2 cheap plastic cups by the washbasin, the shower head was a fixed high wall type with no detachable hose and handle, many people like to have that option. The wash basin was clean but the two taps were awkward, in so much, turn it off and it almost locked in place, so tight you couldn't turn it back on. The hot water was nearly scalding, so clear signs need to be shown for this. Overall, it's OK but not much more than that, with reduced staff, I guess it showed. The corridor walls on Floor 2 need totally repainting, as were marked, scuffed and just appeared uncared for, so let standards drop. We didn't use the spa and swimming pool facilities for our 2 day stay, so for us, the rooms were a disappointing let down. I have no doubt other guests may find it lovely and excellent and that's fair enough. We just feel it doesn't offer true value for money, so is over-priced as a first visit and experience. Would we return, probably not unless it raised its game!, but that is just our opinion.

We spent pn night here in sn executive king room. The room itself was spacious and fairly comfortable. The bed though wasn't great - a not very supportive mattress. The bathroom was OK although I would like an adjustable shower rather than a fixed one. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location, however, is not good at all, being next to a very busy road and close to a major roundabout. Tje hotel was convenient for us on this occasion but we would not stay here again.

We were visiting my son who is at Lincoln uni. I always check trip advisor and found the replies to the worst ratings hilarious. I had no doubt this hotel would be fine for our stay. We found our stay great from check in to check out and the pool was a real bonus. Breakfast lovely and hot and all staff polite. Will stay again.

Just come back from weekend at the Bentley. Booked it as a surprise for my husband as doing 50 presents for 50 years. On receiving booking confirmation realised we were automatically upgraded for birthday surprise to Exec room. Really spacious and spotless. Comfy bed and pillow menu. Didn't eat in the hotel as there were other local options so only had breakfast and that was really good! Staff all really friendly and helpful and check in seamless. Pool and facilities nice but could do with a little minor maintenance. Couldn't really fault anything and would definitely return!

Near to a very busy noisy road, so difficult to sleep. All around the hotel needs refurbishment Although the rooms are mainly clean, things are missing. I travelled with my brother and he had sick in his bathroom, and the room smelled of cigarettes! Bed sheets didn't look very white. There was a shampoo left from previous occupants in my room. Couldn't put chain on door because it had broken. Not very well signposted. You have to aim for the garden centre to get into hotel car park. Tired looking hotel. Needs more attention to detail.

Me and my now fiance visited last week for a night so I could propose. When we first walked in we thought the hotel looked incredible. Once in our room we decided to pop down for cocktails, once in the bar we ordered 4 cocktails which took almost 30 minutes to come, the staff apologised saying none of them really knew what they where doing. After the cocktails we went back to our room and wanted to order some room service, I placed the order for some sandwiches only to get a call 20 minutes later saying the bread was still in the freezer and they had only a few of the ingredients, the lady did apologise again and offered us deserts instead. The following morning I was in the shower and while turning the shower tap the heavy metal tap came off the shower hitting me in the knee then falling into the bath and damaging it. I've left it a week before writing this as me and my partner needed to calm down after what was supposed to be a special weekend was tainted by our stay. The hotel is beautiful and the room was lovely but the service and maintenance standards let it down.

This was my second time staying here in July via my work and were impressed both times. I found the hotel to be spotlessly clean at all times, the room was great and much larger than I expected. I found every member of staff I came across to be very helpful and the the quality of the food to be exceptional too with a varied menu to suit all needs. There is ample car parking, plus the use of the swimming pool and spa. Couldn't fault either of my stays, thank you for being so accommodating during these difficult times!

Visited hotel several times, always been good,however this time paid for a suite only to find our room was directly opposite the lift,guests congregating around our door chatting till midnight, then room service trollies being rattled out of lift early ,did complain and got a reduction but couldn't wait to get home for a good sleep,in my opinion the suits should have been at end's of corridors away from noise,apart from that the hotel and staff are very good,don't be put off

Great room, great staff and easy parking. We had aftrenoon tea which was great - we were caked out. Sad that tomatoes for breakfast turned out to be half a tomato. Menu writer needs more training. At least we had more than half a baked bean!

We where given a room that was directly opposite a very busk and noisy road, this would have been no good for us. The Manageress and her team pulled out all the stops to give us a different (and a higher grade) room that was away from the road, they all went far beyond the extra mile for us.

Not the best experience i have had in a hotel. The hot water in the shower fluctuating between warm and scalding, it was reported but it was not fixed as we were told and found out the hard way. Children running around the bar well after 10pm. Traffic noise was terrible and we paid for an executive family room as it was all they had left. At breakfast we were served breakfast on dirty plates and i was given a coffee cup which had clearly been used before and not cleaned and the cuttlery was not clean as well.

The reception staff were unhelpful from the beginning. Dinner was good as was the service. Breakfast service was dire. Finished at 09-30 - even on weekends. Food was good - when it eventually came. It was clear that there was no organisation in the kitchen at all as the inexperienced staff were at sixes and sevens. Trying their best but with no obvious support or organisation. Waited 40 mins for a cup of coffee and an hour for cereal. rooms not serviced (due to covid safety they said) unless requested. request met with great reluctance. Certainly no value for money.

The Bentley is a friendly hotel and caters well for the business community. The rooms are larger than the average travel hotel and are always comfortable. With high temperatures outside it was lovely to arrive at my 18 degrees chilled room. Covid arrangements were well thought out and the breakfast option to the room was on time and everything I had ordered was delivered. The bar area doubles up as a eating space and the evening meals are good value and home cooked. (Well it tastes that way) The comfort makes travelling for business less stressful. Thank you.

We booked sometime in advance and kept on making changes due to covid issues. Despite that the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, as they were throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. All the more impressive because of having to work under covid conditions.

Basic hotel but staff are great, its clean and the food is good. Can be a bit noisy depending on which side of the hotel your room is. the major downside is that the wi-fi is terrible and the phone reception isn't much better

Hotel had excellent COVID protection. Everyone made us feel welcome. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Pub next door for food. Only short distance to central Lincoln. Staff very helpful & friendly.

I booked a standard king room for mine and my husbands 10th anniversary. Upon arrival was upgraded to a bridal suite with a Swan towel and rose petals on the bed! Can not thank you enough for that we had an amazing overnight stay it was quiet, staff was very polite and friendly and the overall hotel was clean and lovely inside. The bed was lovely and soft, even the pillows and duvet where amazing quality best quality bed we've slept in in out many hotel stays around the country. We will be making a regular stay at the Bentley hotel for our child free nights we loved it!

Loved my evening here , we stayed overnight to attend a family wedding. Hotel super modern , clean and very welcoming. Bar was very trendy & we loved the booths in the dining room . I had the best steak in a long time & homemade pudding ( yum ) .we enjoyed a swim in the pool before dinner which was great after a long journey. I even managed to get my hair blow dried at the salon . All staff were lovely & it was a lovely start to a fabulous weekend. We will definitely stay again if we come this way back to visit family . I wish I had used the hotel more when I lived in lincoln .

Having booked to stay here overnight on the way up to Teeside We were appalled at the lack of greeting when you arrived , staff appeared un interested and what was apparent was that you don't go their for a spa break , the hotel is a white van hotel , with 90% contractors paying a quarter of the rate the hotel ate trying to charge The rooms were not clean Smelt awful Reception not interested when you complain Breakfast ok On check out reception couldn't get rid of you quick enough The whole management and senior staff need to be replaced if the hotel is to succeed , plenty new hotels with better offers are opening in lincoln The management of the Spa has clearly the worst attitude towards customers and customer service, why would you expect the staff to be different when clearly the management only interested in the bottom line profit Let's hope an entrepreneur who knows how to treat customers, run a business to its potential and not into the ground Get a proffesional Spa Mansger who knows what the market is looking for , not play at it . Also be accountable for the mistakes and correct them Would I stay again ........ not unless the senior management and team were replaced Would I recommend... not at all

Just had a 3 night stay on arrival the green painted exterior did not look welcoming but as they say do not “judge a book by it's cover” we revived a warm welcome a clean spacious room and they had taken every care with protecting us with their COVID precautions in place. The staff were helpful and polite , the food freshly cooked and brought to your table , room service food was a very fair price cooked and presented well very tasty. The spa and gym very clean and well organised to keep you safe. Will definitely be returning . Thank you to all staff we met who cared about our stay.

We came to visit Lincoln and wanted to stay just out side the city centre as we wanted to relax as well. Well what a great experience! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was very clean and tidy which was very reassuring considering the pandemic. We ate there on the first night and was planing on going out to eat the next day but after eating the food we had to eat there again. Just fantastic meals and the service again was second to nun! We even went over to the spa for an amazing treatment which really helped us to finish off our short break on a high. I would highly recommend this establishment and we will be back soon. Thank you again for a great experience after this horrible pandemic.

Although limited by COVID it was a good experience for 3 nights .The A road alongside was busy and noisy if the window was open. The staff were good , the breakfast had to be ordered the night before , but the list was extensive and served at the required time . Dinner though limited , probably due to the times. Mt wife and myself used the pool , tub and sauna on a pre arrange slot. No complaints in 3 night stay. 20 minutes drive to the cathedral and castle.

Visited this hotel and stayed in a family room. The room was adequate and quite big although the decoration was very dated. There were tea and coffee making facilities but no refridgerator. The bed was great, very comfortable and the linen was nice. The room was mostly clean although attention to detail was poor. I found my baby playing with a contact lense that was not ours and we saw 2 more after that! I walked to my friends room barefoot and when I got back my feet were black and I had to shower. The shower was nice but the shower door was broken. We ate dinner in the restaurant, the food was nice and a good price but the restaurant had very dated decoration and there was chewing gum stuck underneath the table which I accidentally touched. We had breakfast the next day, the fruit and croissant was nice but the cooked breakfast was not nice, the bacon was like cardboard and the sausages overdone, the eggs were nice though. Staff were very accomodating and friendly. They stored our babies milk in their fridge for us and provided a room for me to breastfeed in the next day free of charge after we had checked out. The keycards are terrible, we went to reception multiple times because it wouldn't let us into our room. Overall the hotel needs a good scrub, breakfast needs improving and perhaps redecorating (although everyones taste is dofferent of course). The hotel staff were great and very accomodating which is why I rated the hotel a 3 instead of a 2

We had a 3 night break at this hotel and we have never stayed anywhere that we have been this unhappy with. Our room was not clean especially the bathroom. The dining room was so dark and dinghy with the staff seeming to ignore us. When we spoke to reception with regards to the dining experience we had received all they could say was that they were short staffed. We do understand that things have been difficult during the pandemic however that is not our issue and if the staff can not cope with the amount of visitors perhaps they should not be offering this option, or not fill the hotel to capacity so that they can not cope. Having emailed the hotel directly with our issues all they seemed to able to say is that it is due staff shortages, which is not an acceptable to answer to our issues. To cap our stay off we were overcharged on our bill and had to point out this fact before paying our bill. We will definitely not be recommending this hotel or even the Best Western hotel chain to anyone.

This was a most welcome break. A very pleasant, comfortable, friendly hotel. Conveniently situated off the A46, it was surprisingly quiet. We had a good sized twin room, with separate seating area. The pool is a bonus. It was reassuring to see adherence to necessary Covid-19 safety precautions, with plenty of hand sanitiser stations, and reminders to maintain a safe distance. Meals; breakfast and dinner, were delicious, with good sized, but not overwhelming portions. The Covid-19 system of booking, and choosing, your breakfast was a great idea. We did like the plush, velvet seats at breakfast. Dinner was delicious. Thai Green Chicken Curry, Panko breadcrumbed Chicken Burger, and Pork escalope - yum. We must mention two staff: Monika, the Receptionist, is warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, and all done with a smile. Zilka, equally always smiling, attended to our meal choices perfectly.

Great staff but poor ways of working. Unfortunately our experience in the dining room wasn't great. Staff doing absolutely everything. Rather than allocating staff in the bar and other staff in the dining room. Signs of stress. Someone really should look at work processes so that staff are not so stressed. The food was great. The rooms was great. Breakfast experience was great.

1st time back since the virus started lockdowns last year. Must say they have done / did a wonderful job of looking after guests. The staff must walk miles on miles seeing to diners at dinner and breakfast and need applauding for their endeavours. The main restaurant has been slightly refurbished and now has banquette seating which is very modern and a little more private for diners,a good idea. Don't know about the rest of hotel,suffice to say that all guests were more than socially distanced what with all the space available. Never used the leisure area so can't comment. But would highly recommend to any visitors to Lincoln.

Had a one night stay on Dip, Dine and Dream deal. Great value. Hotel was good. Good rooms, very comfy beds. Staff excellent. Food was good. Had hour slot and near exclusive access to pool facilities. Would recommend the hotel and would happily return. Covid management is superb. Deal is also good value.

This was a staycation weekend break due to Covid. We had a very pleasant stay, made so by very helpful and accomodating management team. Lincoln city centre isn't at your door step which worked for us but may not for some.

We had to change our plans a quite short notice due to further restrictions in the number of people allowed at a wedding reception. We spoke to to Carole at the Bentley hotel and were very impressed with what they could offer us whilst still adhering to Covid guidelines. The 3 course meal was excellent and table service was used for drinks orders. The staff were all very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. I would highly recommend the Bentley hotel for an event. We also stored over night in the Carole Suite which was lovely. Thank you very much

Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying as a single female I was happy with the comfort and service provided. I would definitely stay again and I felt the cleanliness was top class due to the current circumstances.

We have taken family here for dinner on numerous occasions so was the first choice to take the parents for their 60th wedding anniversary. Was a little disappointed when we arrived to be sat at a un laid table in the events room as not what we had expected, but saying that & with the current situation, the service & food was its normal high standard. Our guests all enjoyed their meals & we will return on our own one evening.

My husband surprised me with a night here for our 18th wedding anniversary, we got married at this very place 18 years ago. It was fabulous then and is fabulous now, we enjoyed every minute, the staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Really clean rooms and bathroom. Everything you need and staff couldn't do enough to help. Brilliantly managed in terms of the COVID situation too. Thanks for giving us more wonderful memories.

My husband and I have just come back from our first weekend break together in 6 years, we overall had a brilliant time even considering the current climate. When we checked in on Friday 11th our temperate was checked which we were really pleased with, check in was pretty simple and as contactless as possible. Although the bar service was slow on the Friday night we were still pretty relaxed and had a nice night Friday, bar staff were friendly and fully in The correct PPE Saturday night however was excellent service and we can't get over the difference between the 2 nights all because on the bar staff member, I think she said her name was Jo. She was exceptional and a real assets to the company, nothing was to much trouble and she went out of her way for every customer in there, from taking food orders, bringing food and serving at the bar, she was efficient and friendly, someone who anyone would value as a member of staff she work so hard that night! We also had spa treatment my husband by Chloe and nesta with a back massage which he said was brilliant! The room was clean and tidy, and and excellent presented we were in a four poster room, my only criticism of the room was the bathrooms don't reflex the standard of the rooms however all in great value for money Overall a great stay made better by jo! But all staff good but she went above and beyond

I stay at The Bentley most weeks on business, this is my go to hotel, even though there are other hotels nearer. The staff are fantastic and the owner is always around to ensure that the high quality standards of the hotel are maintained. I couldn't find a bad word to say about this hotel. Excellent service, immaculately clean. Very professional staff. Good wifk. I have stayed in nearly every room in the hotel and always have a good nights sleep.

I have recently returned to the Bentley after COVID and was very apprehensive about my stay. After reading a review that the water was too hot and a bathroom dirty I was worried that someone had stolen the cold taps and the reception staff. Imagine my relief when I discovered the cold taps in my bathroom, because yes the hot water was hot in the bathroom as hot water should be! And the reception staff were still there and available if I had a problem. Yes breakfast and evening meal service is a tad different but we are in extremely different circumstances with government guidelines to follow. As always great service with a great staff team

Noisy room with buzzing sound and extremely dirty bathroom. Limited to 45 minutes in jacuzzi and pool. Wait for breakfast due to limited number of staff and not self service. Water in bathroom too hot. For the price it should be better quality. Would not recommend!

Staff could not do enough for you even though the circumstances are difficult at the moment. All staff had masks. Hand sanitiser provided. Food lovely. Room clean. Slept well. Plenty of car parking. We would definitely stay again

Staff were very friendly. The restaurant and reception area were spotless. We felt very safe and the screens and safety measures in place made it relaxing and comfortable. The food is amazing, definitely the best in this part of Lincoln. The deserts are absolutely delicious.Thank you for making us feel so welcome and able to relax on our many visits!

Got my gels on my hands and toes and it cost me £60 which is ridiculous didn't even get the colour I wanted because they weren't allowed to show me a colour pallets with COVID going on. Dark lighting as well so much brighter outside than was in there. Wouldn't recommend going there.

Had a meal today 25th August I had beef lasagne with chips and salad. The lasagne was the best I have ever tasted it was more than excellent congratulations to the Chef. I would certainly visit again. This visit was just for a meal

Really enjoy staying at the Bentley hotel , everything is fantastic had a massage and haircut in Bentley spa, and stay for 2 nights , had cooked breakfast both morning , staff was polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, bed was very comfortable and tv also great, and room was sparking clean, also met the hotel manger and owner both lovely people , thank for lovely stay

Good points, - comfortable bed - toiletries, were plentiful - Nice to be able to have a morning swim, despite being a bit inconvenient to have to book a time slot and that being a bit hard to get when you want. Not so good points, -dated decor and condition, needs maintenance -shower was average at best, took ages to get hot and not great pressure. -room had obviously not been vacuumed or used for a while as it was a bit musty and there was a lot of dust on furniture... Especially the skirting boards. - despite lots of "attempt" to make you feel covid safe, some things were over the top, and some not enough. Particularly the cleanliness in general. While it wasn't filthy, the dust in the room and door push plates in public areas were not cleaned and had lots of grease from hands and fingers... Overall, I wouldnt stay again or recommend. Lots of better options in the area. Best Western in my US/Canada experience has always been good... This one didn't hit the mark and was not worth the price.

First impressions of the hotel during these unprecedented times of COVID-19 are comforting. Screens in place, hand sanitisers available, staff wearing coverings. As someone who has been shielding this was excellent. We had a king room which was lovely and clean, and you could see that attention to high-touch areas being cleaned. Breakfast can be served in the room, which we opted for. The food in the restaurant is excellent - BOOK THE CARVERY ON SUNDAY - Worth every penny We had a 'private dining' as it was our 25th wedding anniversary which was exceptional. My final note has to be this : The staff. I Cannot express how brilliant the staff are. The really make this place.

This hotel is easy to find and is a short drive to the city centre. Room very comfortable and spacious. Everything spotlessly clean and in good working order. Reception staff very kind, patient and professional. Recommend.

Staff doing a fantastic job in these strange and weird times. Nothing too much trouble for staff or management. We stayed for our anniversary and even received a glass of champagne to our room. We must be regulars when the staff recognise you :) . Looking forward to having more stays here! Keep up the good work.

Amazing value, champagne service at lemonade prices. The bar for those who are like me and always wonder is definitely fair priced none of this pretend prices, it's your local price with far more peaceful surroundings. Room was spotless, a bed you never want to leave, a comfortable bath and great pressure on he shower. ALL of the staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you.

With some trepidation I booked into the Bentley, wondering what a hotel experience would be like in the unwinding pandemic period. Any visions or fears I had were quickly dispelled and I think massive credit needs to go to the hotel management team who have clearly stepped up to meet the necessary government guidelines but have maintained a genuine, caring and friendly manner to guests. It felt just like a pleasant hotel stay, with just a few more health precautions like the hand sanitising stations and screen at reception - but apart from these I found it a great experience. Clean, fresh room, bathroom and corridors, friendly, happy employees, and great pricing. Good job team !

Beautiful hotel lovely relaxing stay I would come back and fully recommend it to any traveller. All the staff were excellent particularly the chef and waiter Ryan. We were so impressed their friendly upbeat personalities.

Seems to be run for OAP bus trips Its a bit like being around the walking or waiting dead.. Dull and boring food - ok if you cant chew.OAPs shuffle around many not aware on what's going on. Bar as much fun as visiting a doctors waiting room

This is a lovely hotel. I think this was their 1st week of opening after lock down. The hotel business has changed a lot . The hotel has large car park. Staff are very helpful and polite. Breakfast was plated. Good choice but I think buffet would have been great but not a lot the hotel can do about at the moment. I was upgraded to a nice room. I will be back when hotel life returns to "normal". This is a good place to stay. There are a few pubs around the hotel and McDonald is very near as well.

Had a lovely stay here, my favourite part of the hotel was definitely the spa... those heated tiled loungers were absolutely lush. So relaxing, just what i needed. The hotel itself was right next to a pub which was ideal for dinner both nights we were there!

We had a 2 night stay and it's a lovely hotel with great staff we even left the car at went into Lincoln by bus Lincoln cathedral and castle are a must for all visitors we would have done the bus tour but It doesn't open till April but we had a great weekend

Searched internet for accommodation around Lincoln with Leisure facilities. To meet up with family. Photos look pretty good on website. We paid full price when booking through booking.com. We booked 2 rooms (1 Larger room with double bed sofa etc approx £100. 2nd for family members (standard double room / approx £50). On arrival our relatives asked to upgrade and they were charged an extra £20 for the same room as us! We asked about the difference and were told that no adjustment or refund could be made as we booked through booking.com. Lesson learnt. Overall leisure facilities were good. Floors in men's changing rooms and showers was very slippery and the slope from spa area to changing rooms was quite dangerous. Room was ok albeit very tired decoratively. Bed and pillows comfortable. Bathroom very dated and shower didn't work. Didn't realise til morning. We wouldn't bother booking again.

Stayed 1 night mid week.Here is a summary: Location is easy to find nr duel carriageway. Plenty of parking. In the area there is also a food pub and a Mc d's. Reception large and clean. Staff efficient and business like. Room I had at the rear of the hotel was quiet, and spacious. Generally very clean, although the toilet had not been cleaned properly on my arrival. Some TV channels not working. Good towels in the room. Nice powerful shower and a bath if you want it. Gym well equipped, but a few machines not working. Pool looked large and good although I didn't try it myself. They have a restaurant and a bar food facility. I ate in the restaurant. It was quiet and well staffed. Food was good, but overpriced for what it was. It was fixed price only for 2 or 3 courses. Breakfast ok, good quality sausages, but only a small range of food available. So I will be staying again, but will try the bar food or the pub next door when I eat.

Great hotel, courteous staff, swift check in and check out and nothing was too much trouble. I stayed the night before a full day of interviewing at the hotel. Being a female traveller i like to stay where i feel safe and comfortable and here, i felt both and had a great night's sleep. Nice bar food and very nice breakfast too.

We had a fab suite, lots of room and the hotel breakfast and lunch were great. We used the spa and treatments were reasonably priced and excellent. The pub nearby was poor and I wouldn't recommend it.

I recently stayed here during a 2 day conference. The hotel and staff were brilliant from start to finish. Room was spacious and clean with everything you need. Pool area was lovely with use of the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Also a fully equipped gym too. Considering there was 100+ people the lunchtime and evening food was brilliant, service was very efficient and we felt well looked after. Breakfast was plentiful, with a hot buffet and everything you would expect. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

Nice hotel and quite big rooms with all basic amenities for an overnight business travel for one. Courteous staff Standard English breakfast options, although i felt spread was little lesser that compared to other options around the country. For dinner, not a great place to be being a vegetarian as they had hardly much options and not very pleasing to pick up from em. We hit another place quite nearby adjacent to the parking place which had way more options

I recently stayed at The Bentley while attending a conference there. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. My room was clean and had everything I required, the bed was comfortable and I had a choice of pillows. The service whilst at the conference was to a very high standard, as were the refreshments and the buffet lunch was exceptional. Our evening meal was served promptly and again the food was to a very high standard. Breakfast was a choice of hot/cold buffet or made to order from the menu. Service was quick and friendly. The bar area was clean and well furnished but they did struggle when over 100+ guests descended on them all at once for pre dinner drinks. The staff made sure drinks orders were placed whilst eating our meal so after dinner drinks were ready and waiting for us to avoid the problem happening again. Thinking on their feet! I did not use the spa or swimming pool although they looked very nice. I did use the gym which was well equipped and well maintained. I would certainly use The Bentley again for business or privately and would happily recommend to anyone looking to stay in the local area. Thank you to all who looked after us!

Came here for Christmas meal with friends i work with! Had high expectations as previously worked with head chef, well what a let down. Food wasnt upto scratch for price we paid and service was a bit slow! However cocktails were delightful and the tribute was really good. Didnt meet my expectations sorry but good try. M Warren

Great hotel. Handy location. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Well stocked bar. Breakfast was very generous and plenty to choose from. Kids enjoyed the pool, adults enjoyed the adjoining spa. We had the poppy suite which was enormous and more like an apartment. Happy to recommend and would stay again

We stayed here as a stop over on the way home. This hotel has the best level of service that I have enjoyed for many a year and reasonably priced. The whole staff deserve a pat on the back for a job very well done.

Our Christmas Gala with the Freddie Mercury Tribute night at the Bentley Hotel Lincoln, with family in the Diamond Suite. We all enjoying an excellent Gala night and meal, our party menu choices were as follows: two chose the Roast Butternut Squash Soup, two chose the Asslette of home cured Salmon Gravadlax with honey mustard dressing and the remaining two chose the warm vegetable Tatin with Mozzarella penne pasta Salad for starters. Then for our Main meal five of us chose the Slow Roast Turkey Roulade wrapped in smoked bacon with chestnut and cranberry stuffing with one choosing the Honey & Mustard Glazed Pork Belly apple beignet. This all followed with our deserts, two of us choosing the trio of Chocolate Mousse with winter fruit compote and the remaining four of us our choice being the Traditional Plum Pudding & Brandy sauce, to finally finish the usual tea and coffee biscuits chocolates and enjoyable conversations. The nights entertainment being the Freddie Mercury Tribute experience, which we all enjoyed the atmosphere of the party with lots of drink, singing and dancing together certainly kept us all entertained with Freddie Mercury and the Queen music for us all joining in singing and dancing the night away.

Good party, excellent DJ but poor standard of food. No hot water in our room and the whole place could do with modernising !! The 1980 style decor is not to too many people's taste these days !! Breakfast was average at best !!

A great hotel with spacious rooms and high standard on quality and choice of food. Our first choice of hotel in this part of the country .The breakfast was full of quality hot foods and starters. Good ample parking. In superior rooms, bath robes, chocolates and plenty of space . A great menu in the restaurant First class duck and sea bass . Excellent service from Eva.

This was our second Weekend Break of the Year with our (all still very active) Pensioner Group, and this time ventured to Lincoln. Our Organiser could not have chosen a better Hotel, with eaqsy acces to the centre of Lincoln and surrounding areas. The Staff from the time of arrival at Reception, to our Departure, and I include ALL including Cleaning ladies who were helpful and friendly, were always happy and cheerful and wanting to help our stay go smoothly. The food was very good. Breakfast was the usual buffet style, which was regularly replenished so always hot, with our evening meals being a choice of three starters, mains and sweets, which we expect being a large group. A good varied selection though, and they catered for all food groups. Our Room was very generous, although there was a little road noise as the Hotel is situated next to a main A Road. It didn't disturb us too much though. My only complaint, which I did share with Reception when leaving, was that I had a fall in the Bath as it was very slippery. She thought the Bath Mat must have been missing. That said, a very nice Hotel, with excellent Staff, Good Rooms and good food.What more do you need?

I had arranged for 32 of us to stay at the Bentley to celebrate our Mum's birthday and I am delighted to say that the evening was a huge success thanks to the dedication and attentiveness of all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The meal was served to us all promptly and simultaneously. The hotel and spa area are kept immaculately clean. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfortable . The entire process, from the initial booking to checking out was outstanding. Well done to the Bentley Hotel

i stayed here for a night due to a business trip. On arrival, the reception area was clean and I was met by a friendly receptionist. The room was clean, spacious yet slightly dated. For a best western, the food was over priced and very average. Definitely nothing to write home about! The bar area again is slightly dated but the staff were friendly and accommodating. Choice of drinks is good for a hotel but not for everyone's taste. Breakfast wasn't great, half an hour after it started and I was created with rubbery bacon, watery tasteless scrambled eggs and sausages that were over cooked. Again the staff were amazing and I did mention the above and swiftly they got some new food added to the buffet. Great for those just about to eat, not so great for those on a schedule. Would I stay here again for work? Yes. Would I book this hotel myself? No.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming with free parking outside. The room was dated but comfortable and a good size with a bit of road noise. The spa had a good sized pool, steam room and sauna. Room service was fast and tasty. Recommended for either business or a family trip.

Just wanted to say Thank you for the best afternoon tea ever. Visited with my pre-nage nieces as a birthday treat for them and can't any fault anything! I had ordered a gluten free one and it was the best section of gluten free treats I've ever had anywhere! The girls also enjoyed their section of cakes and sandwiches which all looked lovely. You really made them feel grown up and special, I can't thank you enough

Stayed here overnight before travelling to Grantham. Average hotel but can be noisy at night as some rooms situated on the side of a busy main road. Rooms OK but not outstanding. Avoid eating an evening meal in their restaurant. Overpriced and poor service.

From the moment of booking in to departure , all my party of guests stated what a wonderful experience they had with special thanks to the reception staff , Georgina, Giovanni and Tom the chef . The food , service and attention to detail was sublime and to see how the management team also get involved with all aspects of the hospitality was a credit to this hotel . I stayed three nights and the room was a good size. The bed was clean but the bathroom had a couple of small cleaning issues which I reported. The staff were friendly and the bar had a good amount of seating. However, it is listed as a cocktail bar but the Vesper Martini I had left a lot to be desired. Training on not only the proper ingredients for the cocktails but also how to make them is needed if they want to call it a cocktail bar! The bar meal I had and the restaurant meal were both good. The breakfast was fine but I am not a big fan of buffet style as things dry out. The choice was ok, if not great and they do make your toast to order rather than you having to make it yourself which is good. There are eating options locally such as a pub next door as it is a bit out of town. There is a bus service which takes you into town so you don't have to drive and park in town. Taxis are at a premium in Lincoln on a Saturday daytime so don't assume you will be able to get one easily from hotel. The hotel is alongside a main road that is very busy through the night. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from that side of the hotel.

Nice hotel, clean rooms, average offering on the bar menu. Very helpful staff. WiFi is terrible. Worst in any hotel I have stayed at. Add to this that the hotel is in a black hole for 4G and phone signal then it's truly terrible. No idea why this has not been fixed as the receptionist offered I'm not the first to complain. It's this reason alone why I would not come back. Come on, your in Lincoln, sort out the WiFi.

Staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are big and well equipped. Hotel is a bit old and in need of a revamp. It is well maintained and I could not fault maintenance and upkeep. Tip: The bar area has a cheaper food menu and offers a wider selection of menu items.

Stayed overnight to allow some family time. The rooms were comfortable but furnishings were very dated and bathrooms in need of a refit. Ate in the jewels restaurant and the food was tasty and freshly prepared but overpriced.

Conveniently located from A1 on industrial retail park. Room was clean and spacious, bathroom was a little dated. Self service breakfast was plentiful and staff helpful and smiley. The pool was great with sauna and jacuzzi. Reception staff were first class and nothing was too much trouble. We felt really welcome. The 24hr room service and options for pillows were a bonus.

We had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel, although it is visible from the nearby roundabout the turning to the hotel appears to lead to a Garden Centre. Our room was a little dated and the coffee table was not clean. The bed was comfortable but the duvet was very heavy. We did not use the pool or spa. Breakfast was good with freshly cooked eggs and hot toast and prompt service. We thought the room expensive for what it was.

My wife and I stayed here for a overnight stay to break our journey between Scotland and Norfolk. First impressions are very good ample parking and a clean and tidy looking hotel. Check in was smooth and efficient and our room was very good. We used the swimming pool pool which was nice and enjoyable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Before leaving in the morning we had breakfast which was also very good and enjoyable. Overall enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

We had a large clean room, with a very comfortable bed, excellent meals in the restaurant, great breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. This is a hotel we will return to again and again, we'll never tire of it

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and a good size. Everything on hand which made our stay very comfortable. A good selection to choose from for breakfast. A good location with plenty of car-parking spaces. We didn't use the pool or gym. We visited friends so we didn't use the restaurant for lunch or dinner. The hotel reception area clean. The speed in checking in and out, this too was very good. All the area's used we found clean.

Most staff very friendly, the dinner is good value for money and nice food, breakfast has a wide variety although service could be better at breakfast. Bar staff are very nice and welcoming on reception. Clean rooms with comfy beds.

Stayed over Sunday night and was very impressed with the cleanliness, decor and comfort of the room. The receptionist was very helpful and cheerful. Will be going back to this one, just couldn't find fault.

My wife and I, along with our son. Stayed here whilst visiting a festival in nearby Newark-on-trent. The staff are great, always smiling and always happy to help. The room itself was a good size, very comfortable bed generally very nice and clean. The spa facilities are great too, never too crowded and the perfect way to wind down in the evening. All in all, great hotel, will definitely be staying here again when in the area.

Beautiful hotel and the Lauren suite was lovely. Couldn't of asked for friendlier or more helpful staff. The TV in our suite decided to give out while we were there and within 10 minutes the engineer was in our room. It couldn't be fixed as he said it had just died so he then took it away and brought us a replacement TV straight away.

Excellent stay food was great in bar and breakfast room. staff were lovely they said no hurry to check out as we were going to funeral would highly recommend This hotel excellent location for Lincoln and surrounding areas

This is now a bit dated but absolutely fine for a night away. All very clean and staff without exception were helpful and friendly. We attended a function so can't comment on dining room food but food we had in the function room was tasty and large portions. Breakfast is limited on healthier options ( fruit, cereal and some low fat yoghurt) but enough to cover most people's tastes and great value. Pool good too although only 2 beds at the side so limited space to relax if you are not in the pool or jacuzzi and again all looks like to could do with a bit of a refurb.

I stay here regularly as I work in the area I can honestly say after well over 50 visits I have never been disappointed! Food is amazing, Rory's mayo is the best. As a lone female traveller I have always felt comfortable safe and secure. Reception staff, bar staff and breakfast staff are so friendly and helpful and although I haven't met the housekeepers I am sure they are great too as my room is always clean. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. To the owners your staff are a credit to you and an asset to your business- Thank you

Our second stay here when visiting family in the area. Friendly and efficient service from booking by phone, check in, check out and everything inbetween in bar, leisure centre, chambermaids etc. Room spacious and together with bathroom very clean and with everything you need provided. Bed and pillows comfortable. The only small niggle being the safe on the floor, quite difficult to bend down and sort out code to use. Leisure centre a bit dated but clean and large fluffy towels provided. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna all good and never more than a couple of others using the facilities each time we were there so quite spoilt. The ramp from pool to changing area was slippery and I did need to hang on to the wall rails provided. Big surprise was the extensive and very reasonably priced menu in the bar area, (the fish platter and junkyard chocolate tart were excellent) this was a refreshing change from the usual overpriced drinks and underwhelming food options often available in hotels. Our only complaint was the electronic keycards constantly failing despite not being put near a mobile phone, entailing a long trek back to reception to revalidate. This really needs sorting out. All in all a very nice stay and we will be returning.

Honestly, thank you to the amazing staff for making our stay extra special the girl on reception Sophie was a gem and the manager Sarah if I'm right? The buffet staff were great also. We will one million percent be back!

Visiting Doddington Hall decided to make it relaxing. Decided to have our evening meal in the hotel. Service and food were excellent, would certainly recommend the menu. Hotel room ok basic but smelt stale. Swimming pool again basic, walk from changing room to pool very slippery. Would certainly recommend staying in this hotel, plenty of parking. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

Everything was spot on during our stay, the staff were exceptional. The only down side were ring marks on various surfaces in our room. Would go again at the first opportunity. It seems the postman can find the hotel, but we didn't the first couple of tries. The postcode needs sorting out methinks.

Exceptional. Only fault was that Television in room not working but was repaired. Meals and staff were of a high standard and made us very welcome where nothing was too much. Will not hesitate to stay there again

Only stayed as a stopover but hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Room was nice and had decent Wi-Fi connection FOC. pool was really nice, decent for swimming, quite a few kids in the afternoon session and then in the morning quite a few local gym members were in and especially some old dears who did the traditional swim/chat at 0 mph so it was quite crowded, I asked a member afterwards though and he said it was unusual to be that busy. Jacuzzi was nice but not hot enough, really liked the heated loungers though. Sauna and steam room were fine. Changing rooms nice and clean. Free towels provided. All staff I encountered were friendly, provided ice for our drinks in the room as no fridge provided.

Afternoon tea to celebrate a 93rd birthday. Sandwiches were nice and fresh but fillings a bit disappointing - grated cheese and tomato with the first slice and hard piece at the top of the tomato. ~Tuna instead of salmon. The scones were delicious but far too big - cakes good selection and delicious. Recently stayed at a Best ~Western in Yorkshire and scones were a much better size, also choice of sandwiches superior at a slightly less cost. Crockery had a Mad Hatter theme which was much appreciated. No hot water provided and no choice of tea offered, as we were entertaining a friend for her birthday did not want to make a fuss by questioning the waitress.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but not a 4 star. It is dated and lacks any of the luxury elements other than the pool. The rooms were well equipped but decor and bathroom basic and need updating. Fine for overnight stay.

Enjoyed a quality evening meal here in The Jewels restaurant. at The Bentley Hotel. Service tops. Good varied menu. I had flambé fillet steak which was superb. Partner had a fish dish which he enjoyed. For desert I had a fruit pavlova & partner had flambé crepes. We Look forward to a return visit.

I stayed at the hotel during my business trip. Some of the Best Western hotels have very dated decor, however not definitely this one. The room I stayed in was very nicely decorated. I really loved the fact that the hotel got a spa area with a gym. The staff was very professional and friendly.

We stayed at the Bentley on Sunday 23 June for my husband's 60th. The room and hotel was very clean and food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We dined in the restaurant and you wasn't rushed or anything

One of my favourite Hotels. Have stayed several times over the years. Excellent rooms. a TV you don't need binoculars to see from the bed. Nice fluffy Bathrobes and slippers provided. Usual Tea/Coffee facilities. Bottle of water replaced daily. Toiletries in the bathroom and a face cloth.Clean and quiet.Air conditioning in the room (which can be a bit noisy). Excellent food. Good breakfast with items being replaced regularly. For the early risers Breakfast starts at 6. There is a bar menu Al La Carte and a Daily Menu. WiFi in the rooms. Has a Spa Gym and Swimming Pool. Lift to all floors. Very Wheelchair friendly. Large Car Park which can get full. Short distance into Lincoln by Taxi which is not exorbitant. Staff friendly and helpful .

As usual The Bentley always delivers clean rooms bathroom spotless. Staff always helpful and pleasant, food in the dining room 5 star although this time the breakfast was far from upto scratch bacon like cardboard and to be honest the guy showed us our table was far from welcoming but will stay there again.

I was given a voucher for 'Afternoon Tea for Two' as a70th birthday present. I went there a few weeks after my birthday with my partner. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the waitress , the table was laid with lovely linen and the table set with fine china which had pictures of the Mad Hatter's tea party on it. We were asked if we would like tea or coffee, which arrived quickly then she brought the food, we had four different flavoured sandwich ,three of each, then there were about six different little cakes, two each and a scone each with cream and jam. It was all delicious and fresh, we both really enjoyed it. We couldn't manage it all so the waitress gave us boxes to put what we couldn't manage in home

Lovely hotel very clean, staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast plentiful and very nice. Meals in the bar were lovely too. If I had to say anything negative it would be that they need more bar staff on busy evenings as service was a bit slow. Will definitely visit again.

we found the staff very welcoming with a lovely clean and comfy bedroom waiting,we found the place clean and well looked after,both evening meals where lovely with a very good choice on offer either in the bar area or the main restaurant (the pan roasted lamb was excellent) The breakfasts were equally as good with a varied choice on offer,the pool was great as was our stay and we will certainly be returning. We noted on a previous review that someone noted about a greasy/oily smell in the restaurant,Ican honestly say that in our case this was certainly not true

I was very disappointed with this Best Western, mainly because the bar and dining area had a distinct smell (to me) of old, rancid cooking oil, and I could also taste the same oil on any food that was deep fried. I do have a sensitive sense of smell, so perhaps I was the only person who noticed it, but it put me off sufficiently that I wouldn't stay again. We had a nice large room, lovely complimentary toiletries and the staff were great, but the hotel seriously needs to change the cooking oil more frequently and to remove the smell from the dining area. Sorry for the critical review, it was a disappointment to me and, in my view, very overpriced.

Just a one-nighter for us this time and as always we had a great stay. All areas of the hotel are immaculate with well trained, professional and friendly staff. The lounge has been extended and there is now room for residents to relax away from the bar area where function guests have always tended to congregate. Guest rooms are very comfortable and well presented. The menu encompasses all tastes while catering well for restricted diets. Importantly the owner retains a high proportion of core staff who we have got to know over the years. Already looking forward to our next visit to our home city and to The Bentley.

The Best Western Plus Bentley is on a busy intersection about 15 minutes equidistant between Lincoln and Newark. It is predominantly a "motor hotel" with a very large free on-site car park. Our standard king room on the second floor was warm and spacious with a large comfortable bed, quality linen and duvet and two lounge chairs. Coffee making facilities are provided. The bathroom was clean and modern. We used the motel as our base and stayed for 7 nights while we toured around Lincolnshire by car. The room cost was approx. A$220 per night including full English breakfast with fruit, pastries and cereals etc. The hotel has a large lounge bar reserved for residents and a large formal restaurant (which also serves as the breakfast room). The bar meals are generous, varied, reasonably priced and highly recommended. The formal restaurant has an extensive menu. While there is a pub within walking distance, why bother when the food at the Bentley is so good. Reception staff were helpful and pleasant. The bar staff also deserve a very special mention for their friendliness and efficiency. All in all, a highly recommended hotel.

Just off the main road so easy to find, really professional staff, couldn't be more helpful. Arrived late and it was no problem for the staff on duty. Room was very spacious and clean with excellent facilities.

Arrived on the Friday and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Arrived at the room on the second floor to find it overlooked the A46 and we felt there was sufficient noise that it might disturb us getting to sleep. A quick visit to reception and we had a room on the other side; much better. We debated how to get into Lincoln on the Saturday; number 16 bus from the road by the hotel? £4.80 return trip, but the journey time to the bus staion was 38 minutes and then another 15-20 minutes to the Cathedral. In the end we decided on the park and ride which was excellent, the bus dropping us off within sight of the Cathedral. Sunday we headed off to Whisby Nature Reserve only a short drive from the hotel and on the sunny day I had it was a great experience. On our return to the hotel we sat out in the sun, on the chairs overlooking the car park . . . Food at the hotel was excellent bith dinner and breakfast though I would suggest you don't get down for breakfast too late otherwise you may be disappointed if some items are not renewed. All the staff were wonderful, housekeeping included. With special thanks to Mike who helped with the sir con. and kindly confirmed that the television in the bedroom did not have accessible HDMI sockets. And also Donna who made the delicious flap jacks for reception.

A very welcome reception and a lovely stay on the edge of Lincoln. A great Spa facility and the on site Beuty centre was great too. A great de stress massage. Great breakfast and well managed and served.

Had a family Easter meal with 3 generations present. Service was attentive and good humoured with the right time being left between courses. The food (a carvery) was excellent and again served at just the right temperature. The meat was to my liking as was the case with all the meals. Highly recommended, be nice to see what the a la cartel menu is like

We were all made to feel very welcome and at home on arrival. The hotel rooms, function rooms and spa facilities were all first class but what stood out were the superb meals and service that we all enjoyed at our events over the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff and the bar was very well stocked - although it would have been great if there had been a selection of Lincolnshire gins including Dam Raider and Coastal Gin. The Bentley is easy to find and is only a few minutes off the A1 junction at Newark. Being on the Lincoln ring road it is well served with busses into the city and to lovely Bailgate area of ‘top town' Lincoln. There are a good selection of convenient car parks around the castle and in the city centre. There is a great deal to see including the wonderful cathedral, castle, museum of Lincolnshire Life, Steep Hill with its many attractions and a variety of Roman remains including Newport Arch. Downhill there is the Usher Gallery with a great collection of De Wint watercolours and long case clocks. The Collection museum is next door - you could spend hours there! Up on the hill on the south side of Lincoln, facing the cathedral is the impressive spire of the new International Bomber Command Centre commemorating the sacrifices made by 58,000 R.A.F. bomber crew members during WWII - very sobering and interesting. I did however find Dam Raider Gin in the IBCC shop - it made my day!

A terrific base for visiting family in Lincoln, Grantham and Newark. Always assured of a warm welcome. The hotel is like part of the family and is good for meeting for lunches, special occasions as their food is excellent.. There is also plenty to see and do in the hidden gem of Lincolnshire.

Fantastic staff, friendly, helpful. Always enjoy my stay here & couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The receptionist who checked us in on Sundayevening 7th april was amazing. She went above & beyond to help me & nothing was too much trouble, thank you.

I love the multicolour vibrant sofas and great ambience. the tea and the the massive sandwich portions are worth a treat, been there multiple of times with friends and colleagues. Will visit soon again.

All the staff were cheerful, helpful and attentive even when they were catering for busy functions.The bar meals were excellent. The location on the outskirts of Lincoln make the Bentley an perfect base for touring.

The Bentley Hotel never disappoints, especially staying in the large Family Suite (The Lauren Suite) with it's two enormous king sized beds, a separate sitting room perfect for me to have my privacy from my parents and a large modern well equipped bathroom with shower. Free WIFI throughout the hotel which is perfectly stable for internet browsing (looking for our new home up here), social media and YouTube videos. Staff very friendly as always - especially as our room cards kept failing and always willing to recharge them again. breakfast is self service which is always a bonus, however as I am now becoming more vegetarian a vegetarian sausage option to order could be included on the to order menu. I was limited to the hash browns (very nice though), toast cereals and fruit, a minor issue but nothing serious. The bar meals have been improved since last visit and the fish dishes (I can still eat fish) are amazing - especially the new fish platter. An amazingly good hotel with pool and I may return with family again before or during our move up here!

Visited for afternoon tea and was not disappointed. We arrived and was seated to our table stright away by a very friendly girl . She took our order for drinks which was then swiftly followed by the food. We had sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a huge selection of cakes , too much to choose from. There was so much we had to take some home . The atmosphere was pleasant and not over crowded like some places. Thank you again!

Comfortable & clean hotel, bar with good choice of meals and restaurant with 2 or 3 course dinner. We had a king size room with comfortable bed, good quality bedding choice of pillows and great weight duvet ( if a little warm) heating / air con unit you can run yourself which was handy. Bathroom with bath/ shower struggled a bit with shower turning the water heat down automatically reduces the shower power which was a nuisance also turning the shower off was very difficult. We did use room service for hot chocolate the first night but it was like ‘dish water' so we refrained from ordering again. I would say ideal for a short stay and I've given 4 stars but I would rate as 3.5 stars Ideal area not far from Lincoln city, with choice of eateries nearby. If in the area again we would return.

Stayed at Bentley in Dip Dine and Dream package great value we stay once a month staff brilliant especially Claire. We are being married at Bentley hotel in November, we couldn't have picked a better venue.

Spent a comfortable night in this hotel. Lovely room. Great spa facilities. Pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Can recommend the fish and chips. Staff very attentive. Would recommend.

Been here two weeks on business. Brilliant bar staff, inc michelle and Jo, sorry I didn't catch the names of the other ladies but all great. Reception staff friendly and helpful when called on. Utilised gym and pool all good benefits of this hotel. Breakfast food always well cooked, and quick service. Only negative is the hotel and rooms are often cold, room takes a while to heat up.

very poor people skills and negative attitude from front desk management, wouldnt even talk direct, but spoke via the desk receptionist until directly approached, guess customers arent that important to her!

We have stayed here many times so choose it as the venue for my daughters 18th birthday. On arrival we were met by James who checked us in and upgraded us to a suite. I would like to thank James and all the staff for making it a wonderful weekend. My daughter was very surprised by the beautiful room and especially the complementary prosecco, balloons and a lovely card. As usual the staff in the restraunt went the extra mile and made it an extremely fantastic night with the food top quality. I would like to thank the management and staff for making my daughters birthday memorable.

I'm wary of Best Western hotels as they can be a bit mixed, the worst hotel I ever stayed in belonged to the BW chain. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, I shall explain why In some ways it's a bit old fashioned, chocolates on the pillow and a towel folded to look like a swan, the restaurant menu has flambé steak and pancakes... but the rooms are clean, a good size and comfortable and the staff really nice, I had a couple of bar meals and the portions were excellent. They also have rhubarb gin!!!! Breakfast, on day one I might have mentioned plastic covers on the hot plate but then day two I noticed eggs benedict. Anyone reading my other reviews will note I am a massive fan of this breakfast, partly because it's yummy but also because it's an indicator or a chef in the kitchen rather than a microwave operator So, I recommend when looking for a hotel, ask if they serve eggs benedict, this one does and based on that, the staff, the room and the towel like a swan I think this hotel stands out and deserves a five rating

From booking our stay to check in was like a breath of fresh air the professional approach and attitude shown was something the staff should be proud of. The young lady in the bar come restaurant was so helpful and attentive. The room was really nice and comfortable many thanks to you all looking forward to our next stay. George and Cheryl

A good business trip with an easy and efficient check in/out. Friendly and helpful staff, good facilities and good food. I would recommend for a stay near Lincoln. If you are not used to traffic noise The rear rooms may give people an early start due to the 2 mayor roads running alongside. Personally I didn't have any trouble but I was up early for work.

Enjoyed the facilities and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Nice spa and fitness centre an a good selection of food and drinks in the bar. Happily recommend for a business stay in the area.

Excellent service, excellent stay and friendly happy staff, especially Jamie in the restaurant. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Used the spa but would of liked it open for longer for hotel guests to use. Rooms a good size and full of all the things you might need.

I've reviewed this place before. Top place for budget price. Nothings changed. Still our place of choice in Lincoln. What i want to add to my previous post is about the staff. Reception at check in.... awesome and friendly as always. Bar staff, brilliant. Leisure staff professional and helpful. Breakfast staff great. Above and beyond, though, was this mornings concierge and breakfast lead. Not only did he engage our two year old grandchild with high fives, sat him in a chair with a magazine and totally captivated him with patience and charm throughout breakfast (with a personal trip to the muffin table) he was able to deal with everyone else at breakfast too. Top bloke, top staff, top hotel. Look forward to the next trip......

Very comfortable and clean room. Stayed for one night and didn't get an opportunity to try the spa facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is a standard business hotel and facilities in line with expected standards.

I always go into the bar for a coffee after the gym . Staff are so pleasant go out of there way to do everything for you , today Jo is on one of the best staff members in there . Will be missed when she goes off to have her baby .

My husband and I had a night away in this great hotel. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Our room was the other end of the hotel so we got fit finding it! We were at the front of the hotel and was worried about the noise from the traffic but there wasn't an issue with it. The room was laid out for one person not two so we explained that this was a problem, when we went down to reception. We received an apology and this was sorted out straight away. We decided to have a drink before our evening meal and the lady behind the bar was very chatty and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the dining room and the food was very good and there was plenty of it, especially at breakfast. Upon leaving, there was an issue with the bill but this was quickly sorted out and an apology given. A lovely hotel to get away from it all but still close enough to drive into Lincoln if you want to.

4 Star verging on 5. What a fantastic hotel. Lovely comfortable rooms, superb food, great facilities and very friendly helpful staff. Good leisure facilities and a cracking Spa. Ample parking and fast WiFi. Definitely one to try out.

Very good value place to stay and close to all sites - 25 mins max. Thank you for lending me a phone cable to charge my mobile - much appreciated. Clean room and very kindly accommodated a late request for a walk in shower room - thank you. The best equipped disabled room I have seen for a long time - just please attend to the shower mixer on the wall - I forgot to mention it before I left - it's very hard to turn if you haven't got much strength in your hands.

Stayed 2 nights, nice room, service and people were outstanding. Friendly nice people. Hotel is clean and pretty standard. The food was fine and moderately priced. Pool was extremely good. Lots of parking and in a good location. It's a little far from Lincoln centre but really way by car.

Very clean , staff so helpful , accommodation perfect and breakfast just right . We now wished we had stayed longer and not moved on to stay in central Lincoln, which was a total rip off . if we ever attend the Steampunk festival again this hotel is where we would choose.

Great location as a short drive from the cathedral & town. Great, easy check in with everything explained. Lovely pool although the changing rooms could do with a bit of updating and I presume the pool attendant had a bad day as he was rather miserable.The only one that was though throughout our nights stay. Excellent freshly prepared dinner and fantastic waiter and waitress. Couldn't do enough to please us and any request was met. Very attentive but not intrusive. (I think the waiters name was Giovanni) Breakfast was just as good with great bacon and again, an excellent, helpful & friendly waitress. Our bacon was crisped up nicely at just the mention that we like it well done. Great selection of fruit/cereals etc.... The room was warm, clean and had a great shower and fluffy white towels. Gowns were provided which was a big plus as we used the spa. Parking was free and we had plenty of spaces on our visit. Overall, we would highly recommend this charming hotel and definitely stay there again.

Stayed here to attend a family wedding and were very impressed with the warm welcome and helpful staff. From the very beginning when I emailed to book several rooms to the friendly barman in the late evening and the helpful staff at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. This makes such a difference to a stay and we came away with a great impression of the hotel and it's staff. In addition the room was very comfortable, clean and warm and of a really good size and the bed was very cosy. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Dial a ride held their annual Christmas meal in the conservatory about sixty people in all attended and I have to say all the food was served efficiently and together on each table also the quality of the meal was excellent well done to the staff.

This is a better-than-average Best Western hotel with good facilities on site, including spa, pool, bar and restaurant. There is free car parking right outside. Rooms are comfortable and the staff friendly. There is a pub in the air park and a HUGE garden centre next door. Lincoln ring road traffic is HORRENDOUS around travel-to-work times, so choose your arrival and departure times with this in mind...

We stayed one night at the hotel and definitely was the most delightful stay for both of us!!. The bedding was ever so comfortable, spacious and brilliant room which was perfect for both of us, the staff was absolutely lovely! Even got a bottle of prosecco complements from the manger which we were ever so grateful to have and lovely surprise to see when entering the room. The bathroom was lovely! Heating in the room was perfect to have. Very accessible to get to and from the center of Lincoln, easy bus route. Would definitely want to come again soon! Everything was perfect for a perfect stay! Definitely, would recommend! Seriously we couldn't have asked for anything more, delightful! Thank You again to the managers and staff in the hotel.

We have just stayed here for 2 nights in a suite. To give a positive review this suite was fabulous, it was clean comfortable and just perfect. The noise booming through floor from function was loud which stopped at midnight so restful was not my choice of words. Negative point however is the staff, this is only a reflection on those we encountered.I am aware it's a busy time of year but that is no excuse for being rude. This is a hotel where hospitality is the name of the game, and as a paying guest I expected more. Upon arrival the young lady rattled through our check in sign here enjoy your stay! I'm sure she has said it a thousand times but first impressions are what counts. The young lad behind bar really needs a new occupation. He would rather answer the phone than serve, when he did serve drinks slammed down and if paying be card I had to ask how much was that. No personal touch at all which was really disappointing, he made you feel you were an inconvenience at wanting a drink. On reflection at the entire stay, I was left feeling that an alternative accommodation would have been better at a fraction of the cost.

We stayed here for two nights on our recent trip to Lincoln. The location is a good compromise, just off the A46 bypass, and there is a large free car park, but we did experience some traffic noise as our room faced the main road (sound-proofing in general could have been better). We had a large room with a comfortable king bed, although we would have preferred firmer pillows. All the usual amenities were provided - tea, coffee, Freeview TV, complimentary wifi with a robust connection and plenty of power sockets for recharging mobile devices. The large en suite came with a full size bath and shower, plenty of hot water, a well lit mirror and reasonable shelf space, The buffet breakfast provided a reasonable hot and cold spread, with tea, coffee, toast and a choice of eggs all cooked to order. We found the staff friendly and helpful in all areas. In summary, a very good base in the Lincoln area and one which we would use again.

Cannot fault this hotel in anyway...stayed here and everything was perfect... all staff so helpful and friendly. The food which we had in the bar was 1st class.. thank you everyone keep up the good work..and would definately stay again when up your way.

The hotel itself is quite nice if not a little old fashioned but what really lets it down is the staff, some not all are very unhelpful and certainly not friendly which I must said after staying in other best western hotels is very surprising, but if you look at the reply's from the management to the reviews that are left...is it any wonder! The way these customers are spoken to is not just condescending and abrasive it is downright rude....not good customer service shame on you

We had a girly meet up at this hotel . It was wonderful . We needed a disabled room as well as an ordinary room . Both were spotless and facilities xcellent. The food in both the bar and restaurant was so good and menu very varied. The best thing about this hotel is the staff , they are helpful always there to make sure you have everything you want , example , breakfast I did not want buffet , but was offered.anything else I wanted. ..I had boiled eggs!!! Also the spa attached to the hotel is wonderful , I had a great massage with gabby . So Thank you so Much for making our reunion a brilliant on .

Really enjoyed our over night stay comfortable beds, large room and friendly staff food was good and they couldn't do enough for us. Good for visiting different areas in Lincoln. The only thing i would say is don't go expecting a view! Looking forward to another visit soon.

We stayed one night at the Bentley Hotel recently. It was a little tricky to find initially, but if you enter where the Garden Centre is and double back on yourself, there it is. Ample car parking space. Friendly and efficient Reception staff. Nice room on ground floor with air conditioning and very clean room and bathroom. Reasonably good shower over the bath. Good night's sleep, even though we were facing the A46 that runs alongside the Hotel garden. No chance of getting a taxi to take us to our venue, as no taxi fir in Lincoln City would come out until 7:45pm, which was far too late for our 6:30pm function arrival time. Breakfast next morning was good, with a plentiful choice and freshly cooked self service style, but friendly staff on hand to assist, when required. Overall a good experience at this hotel, although we did not have time to investigate or use all the facilities.f

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and used our best western points but the hotel had no double rooms , so we paid extra and upgraded to the bridal suite. Other than the four poster bed this room is just the same as the king size rooms . We ordered room service for a lamb roast dinner which we were told was the roast of the day , however a turkey roast dinner was delivered to the room ! We were then told they would change the meal over and sorry for the mistake. We were then told that the lamb was the roast dinner from the day before menu ! The following day we were woken up by the cleaners at around 9.45am cleaning the other rooms ! All in all very disappointed with this hotel and the value of the bridal suite .

We stayed Friday to Sunday. We had a fabulous time celebrating with friends, during our stay the staff couldn't do enough for us, they were amazing. The food was lovely, the rooms very comfortable and warm. Unfortunately we didn't get time to use the facilities, we would like to go back sometime. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to Lincoln centre. We. Can't wait to return

Stayed over for one night for my boyfriend's birthday. The communal areas of the hotel are a little dated but that's where the criticism ends. The room was lovely, big and comfortable. Our window looked straight out on to the A46 but there was minimal sound. Breakfast was lovely and the staff really friendly. When we arrived on Thursday evening we went straight into the leisure club and used the jacuzzi and amazing heated loungers! I'd booked a treatment in the spa for Friday morning. We were shown around the spa and left to relax in the relaxation room. My massage was honestly the best massage I've ever had - and I've had a lot at several different spas around the country. This was amazing. It started with hot oil and continued to be so good! I think our therapist was Delfina but apologies if I've got her name wrong. We spent another hour in the relaxation room which was beautiful then went to the thermal spa. The different areas there were the perfect complement to the treatments. We ended the morning in the pool. I would definitely recommend the Bentley Spa (and in fact already have).

I have stayed here many times over the past few years and always had very good experiences the hotel is wonderful the bar and food are excellent. I often use the pool which is very good, a well run, clean and friendly place to visit.

We stopped for a light lunch so ate in the Martini Bar. We both had Roast Beef and Horseradish Sandwiches and shared a bowl of Parmesan Chips. The roast beef was tender and delicious and the horseradish not too hot. The chips were plentiful, so we took some home! The female member of staff was very friendly and efficient and smartly dressed.

Stayed here one night, even though the room faced the main A46 by-pass road; the traffic noise was very well contained. Nice big clean, and well maintained room. The bar food was very sensibly priced and well cooked and presented. Good swimming pool, lots of tourist info in the foyer, and hotel guide in the room was well put together. Nice big car park, breakfast was really good, decent food choice. Not quite 5 stars, as it was a bit too expensive for us for more than one night; sadly

Warm clean rooms, the restaurant is terrible would return to the hotel but not to eat. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food was a complete joke even the waitress couldn't believe our starters came out uncooked and said not to worry he is not cooking your main meal and that to be honest was a microwave dinner. I would stay again but room only .

Really nice lady on the reception, all checked in efficiently and proceeded to our room, which was ok but had no view at all except the roof of something and only 1 set of towels in a double room, little strange.. needless to say we paid to upgrade to the Carole suite, which did have all the relevant requirements.. we popped down to the bar and ordered lunch and a drink, quite shocked and disappointed that no pink gin was available so had to make do with rhubarb, a very poor 2nd choice.. we had the antipasto and the nachos, again we were disappointed that there was items missing from the antipasto and the lady behind the bar just said ' oh sorry about that ' As we were away for a relaxing night we didn't go down for dinner and decided to order room service, which are quite basic meals of which we had lasagne and scampi, both were delicious but can't say that either of us were enamoured with FROZEN chips YUK... totally spoiled our meal... in the suite is a Jacuzzi bath which was amazing and so relaxing and the water pressure was immense, the shower the next morning was somewhat of a talking point as it was that good, but after tossing and turning most of the night with a very hard bed, lumpy pillows and other guests letting their doors bang closed from 6.20am onwards we needed a good shower to get us motivated, we checked out and explained everything to the gentleman on reception who again was ' oh sorry to hear that ' not helpful at all, perhaps in training you have a guide to just say sorry to hear that.. 3 stars seems quite harsh but I have awarded 1 for the Jacuzzi bath 1 for the shower and 1 for the receptionist, whilst we were checking in, we unfortunately won't be revisiting..

Spent a weekend here and was absolutely fantastic!! From the staff at check in to the waiters , bar staff , maitre Di and the managers were all attentive and nothing was a problem . The food was of Michelin star quality . I have booked a lodge weekend for next year here . Super venue with all the amenities.

We arrived at 10pm and stayed overnight so probably missed out on a lot the hotel had to offer. Our room was a nice size, clean, nice comfy bed and bedding. Bathroom very nice with full size bath & shower. View from window was trees and a wooded area so all good. The only thing letting it down was it was so cold in our room. We advised beforehand we would be arriving late but the heater was set on low. It was a very cold night outside and we were freezing. We turned the heater to max but it was very cold in our room and with no heating in the bathroom either, it did spoil our stay. Too cold to have a long bath and had to go to bed in clothes and socks. We had room service, only sandwiches and hot chocolate as the hot food had finished but that was all nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was lovely, croissants, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, fruit juices, hot buffet and toast. Tea, coffee etc served to your table. Could not fault any of the food we had. Staff all friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning very soon. Hopefully we will get a warm room next time.

My family and I stayed for three nights in two rooms and the rooms were very clean and well equipped both rooms were at the rear of the hotel and were very quiet. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the food and service were very good all the staff were very well dressed and very polite and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this location and will definitely be back here again thank to everyone for a wonderful stay.

one night stay on a busy Saturday,Big wedding reception.! Enjoyed our stay, very clean and comfortable, swimming pool and facilities very good ALL staff were friendly and very helpful. A1 breakfast, fresh toast and fried egg, coupled with extensive buffet, We will stay again as i have stayed in many hotels during my career and this is equal to any of them. The pool facilities being a major draw!

My expectations for this two night stay for a nearby wedding at Jocasta's were neutral. I expected something neither spectacularly good , nor feared the worst. In the event I was pleasantly surprised. First impressions on the phone were promising, we were booking one room for one night, three for the second, Emma organised it and the rates clearly, efficiently and helpfully. Good start. Check in was smooth, our double room comfortable, spacious, clean and tidy with a king size bed which provided a very good nights sleep. The swimming pool, changing rooms, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were relaxing, clean and well looked after. The bar restaurant was reasonably priced, with an excellent range of gins, and a knowledgeable bar staff. Breakfast was self service but generous with plenty of staff. What stood out for me was the attitude of the staff, reception, Spa staff, bar / restaurant and housekeeping, friendly, helpful ( an ironing board and iron appeared in minutes). A member of staff confided that the management were very strict, and highly organised – it showed. Well located, highly recommended for a mid range hotel.

A very nice hotel for a business stay. Efficient and friendly staff, clean modern facilities and decor. Room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Free wifi plus free use of fitness suite. Located quite a way from the city centre but very on a very good road access. Other restaurants within walking distance if you want to eat elsewhere. Breakfast was faultless.

Hotel set just off a busy roundabout, a few miles outside Lincoln city center. We stayed 3nights in an Executive Double Plus on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was well worth the upgrade, costing only a few pounds more. It was well appointed and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size. The room was very clean and made up each day. We ate a couple of times in the hotel bar which served hot food. The menu was good with a number of choices, all very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good.....the usual hot buffet. Fried eggs were cooked to order. The hotel boasts a well equipped gym, small sauna and steam room. We did not use the indoor pool. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Situated on a busy roundabout the Bentley hotel was surprisingly quiet. We attended a dinner there staying in an executive room with breakfast. The food at dinner and service was good. The room, given its price, was a bit of a letdown. The safe was not working, only one bathrobe and slippers and beginning to get tatty. Breakfast was standard buffet fare but the service was ok. There is a spa and swimming pool so expect the odd waft of chlorine (or something) from time to time. Overall it was expensive for what we had but as a location for a large event for the area it is well placed on a good road system but don't expect to be too wowed.

Room very clean and good size food very good had a Excellent stay with my family only down side for me was hot tub not working and one member of bar staff didn't have good customer service skills!! I ordered a cup of tea for my mum it never came when I went to pay u seemed to be growled at because I was paying cash and not charging to my room also same member of staff pulling a face when I asked where the cup of tea was....I must say tho all other staff members fantastic nice friendly just how a good hotel should be I highly recommend and I am well travelled.

So my colleagues had advised against staying here but as I booked late it was the only place I could get. The only reason I can think why they advised against the hotel was that it was about 10 miles away from where I needed to be each day. But to be honest it was worth that drive! Receptionist was very friendly even though my booking agent had not sent appropriate documentation to show the booking was on a corporate account. She simple asked me to get the confirmation email and that she would ring them too. No fuss, no embarrassment, no big deal. The room was very large and comfortable although one of the wall lights didn't work. There were plenty of glasses in the room but no bottled water which was a bit disappointing. The food in the restaurant was really nice and very good value. They didn't know how to make a martini and lemonade at the bar though and simply gave me a glass of martini and a half pint glass of lemonade to add as I wished. I just thought that was rather funny to be fair. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. Would I stay here again? Most definitely and I would encourage my colleagues too. Very nice indeed.

Staff friendly.A room change to a quiet room away from traffic was no issue.Room was clean apart from the squashed spider on the wall that should off been spotted when cleaning the room.Food in restaurant was very good.Breakfast was also good

Upon arrival, the receptionist was very helpful and gave us a full rundown of the facilities. Our room was large, we'll appointed but in need of a spruce up as it was a bit tired. The bathroom was ok with a nice selection of toiletries. My main issue was the PAT test sticker on the heated towel rail (see pictures) especially in a steam filled environment when door was shut. The bar food we had was really good, along with a nice selection of gins. The bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the evening. After a good night sleep in a very comfy bed, we used the pool facilities, inc the steam room, Jacuzzi and pool. All of this was nice to be able to enjoy before breakfast. Upon entering the restaurant area where the breakfast was served, the hostess showed us to out table , taking out tea / coffee and toast order before explaining where everything was. There was a good selection of food available all of which was well cooked / presented. Unfortunately, the younger members of the team obviously forgot there were guests present when stood chatting and sniping at each other with negative comments - I'm sure they had things that needed doing. Again, when leaving the receptionist was very pleasant engaging in conversation. Overall for the price, it was, for me a bit high. Have I stayed in better for the money - yes definitely. But it wasn't unpleasant - just not quite up there (needs a revamp)..

Overpriced. Having stated in other best western venues we were highly disappointed. The price does not include breakfast so to add breakfast increases the cost further. I will be looking at other hotel chains in future for family and business trips as I have found this disappointing.

Stayed here on our way south and although tricky to find this is a very nice hotel. Room was a good size and very comfortable. The swimming pool was a nice bonus too. We had dinner in the bar and the broccoli and stilton soup was delicious but my hubby's ham and cheese toastie lacked ham for the most part. Overall a good stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Price was very fair too.

What a treat. The staff here were so lovely, from the moment you walk in, they really make you feel welcome. Every area of this hotel was spotless. We had a twin room at the back of the building so it was very quiet. Good sized room with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and hairdryer. There was no fridge in this room. The bathroom was immaculate, has a bathtub and shower. Dressing gowns and slippers are provided and if you go down to use the pool, the entrance is next to the lift so you are not walking through reception. Be aware that the spa is separate to the hotel and that is actually back outside, if you want to book any treatments. The swimming pool is a good size and the water was warm. There is a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi in this area too. There are only 2 fixed loungers here so didnt get to use them. We didnt use the gym facilities. The bar area was clean and quiet, but was busy at different times during the day. I never ate in the bar or restaurant so cant comment on the food. The breakfast here is excellent. Buffet style, everything freshly cooked. Quality sausage and bacon. All the trimmings. Cereals, juices and pastries. We did go and eat at the hingry horse opposite in the evening, it's cheap for a reason, don't bother, ok for cheap drinks though. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay. I would definitely come here again.

Good parking, very friendly staff on arrival and departure. Facilities were good especially the swimming pool. Room clean and comfortable but very warm and were unable to keep air conditioning on as too noisy to sleep with. Stayed on bed and breakfast which was fine, although for those that don`t like a cooked breakfast the choice was a little limited. Overall didn`t really have any problems and would certainly stay again

Thanks to all the staff involved for making our wedding reception a day we will never forget. Our guests told us how much they enjoyed our day from the moment they arrived until the moment they left. The food was fantastic and empty plates proved that. After our first meeting we knew we could trust you to arrange our special day. Hi my daughter in law and I came to the hotel from Doncaster for a nice day at the lesuirehow wrong was we gotochanged went in to have a swim and use the jacquzzi the changing rooms where very dirty the pool area dirty there was a water drinking machine it was filthy health and safety need to be checking .we was in there for 10 mins had to leave we told the lady on the reception we wanted our money back as we where leaving she said she would speak to the manager on which she did .we got our clothes back on and went to main reception and spoke to a manager who did give us our money back but didn't seem to interested just well sorry we came away very disappointed our day was ruined .

Arrived at the hotel which has lots of parking. The greeting was not overly friendly and was not exactly greeted with a smile but in no way was rude. Room was beautiful and the bed so soft and comfortable- wife described it as a cloud. The aim of the stay was to have a good night sleep which was unfortunately interrupted by a very loud siren going of in our room at 4am. After calling reception it was explained that another guest was smoking but this didn't help my wife and I who were physically shuck up also didn't help us get any more sleep after either. Nice place shame about the fire alarm procedures.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst on business. Check in was quick and staff were very friendly and the whole hotel was lovely and cool which was very welcomed in the 30 degree heat! The pool and gym facilities are nice and open early enough to use before breakfast. Comfy bed and good shower. Could have been a bit cleaner and there was evidence of the previous guest in the bathroom but all in all very good.

First visit here , booked afternoon tea on recommendation. Reception staff very pleasant, helpful and showed us through to comfortable lounge area, where we were served with pot of tea and lovely display of selection of sandwiches, cakes and hospitality from a lady called Babs. Crockery delighted us all with Mad Hatters Tea Party theme and sloping saucers ,bringing smile to our faces to realise our eyes weren't deceiving us , being ladies of moderately mature years it's always best to assume it's our eyes !!!!! Brilliant all round and will be back for next catch up .

Check in was swift and we received the appropriate amount of information. The staff were friendly and responded well to any queries. The requests made during booking such as a quiet room were acted upon and whilst one can never choose neighbours the stay was very disturbance free. This may not be the case in rooms which are closer to the road which is busy A road. The parking is generous and should not be an issue even at busy times.The room was spacious and clean. The towels were soft, clean and good to use. The bed was comfortable and it is possible to order a pillow of your preference.The spa is a good facility, the pool quite large and of a good depth throughout. It did have a hoist so should be able to accomodate people who need this access.The staff in the spa were helpful and friendly. Lockers are free of charge and large enough to accomodate clothing and footwear. The pool was described as cold but this is very subjective and did not prove discouraging at a personal level of comfort.

Enjoyed 4 nights. Simple but spacious and clean rooms with air conditioning. Parking is free, room service is so well priced with NO tray charge. Menu is good and everything is home cooked. Gym is nice as is the pool. Staff were all polite and helpful. Will always use this place when in Lincolnshire, it's a gem and excellent value for the price!

Very helpful member of staff on reception when we arrived. We were delighted to get access to our room early as we were getting changed to attend a wedding and the hotel loo wouldn't have worked so well! The room was spacious, well furnished and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the easy to use shower was excellent. Great value with Booking.com, good buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Very easy access from A46 but we followed the SatNav by postcode and arrived down a cul de sac beyond the hotel, we should have been more observant of signage and followed the road for the nearby garden centre immediately off the roundabout to South Hykeham.

We stayed here last weekend using our Best Western points. The parking was plentiful, the staff pleasant, the room clean. We used the leisure facilities & found them to be good quality, I especially enjoyed the heated beds by the pool. Although our room was next to the main road we were not disturbed by traffic noise & both slept very well, the bed was comfortable & the duvet nice & heavy. There was even a pillow menu if the ones on the bed weren't acceptable! Breakfast in the morning was beautiful, I don't often have a full English but couldn't resist & it tasted as good as it looked. The cereals, fruit, yoghurt & pastries were all lovely too & having extra toast was no problem. I was not keen on the hot chocolate as it tasted watery & I prefer it made with milk but it wasn't a huge issue for me. Would love to return & soon!

This was our second visit to this hotel and again the attention to detail, the staff, the room were absolutely amazing. The food served in the bar area is good value and they certainly don't skimp on the servings The quality is 100%. The pool, sauna and steam room are all immaculately clean. Towels are provided for use in the leisure area. We can't wait to return.Well done to everyone who makes this hotel fantastic.

We had to go to a wedding and reception here. Good amount of space, good food, bar at reasonable prices, lots of parking. Somewhat out of town. Looks recently built. Very attentive staff, good atmosphere, ideal for functions and accommodation

Weekend away with friends to celebrate our birthdays. We chose this hotel for its leisure facilities, easy parking and its location to Lincoln centre. We thought we had booked directly with the hotel and reserved twin rooms- for which we received confirmation. However, on arrival we were told we had booked through Best Western reservations who had reserved double rooms with the hotel. Apparently this happens sometimes. As the Bentley is a Best Western hotel I would have expected better communication and accountability between the two. Nevertheless, the receptionist and duty manager quickly resolved the situation to our satisfaction. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds and good showers. The bar area was pleasant and light and offered a choice of cocktails and gins. There is also a seating area outside which could be lovely with some greenery screening as it overlooks the car park. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, size and warmth of the indoor pool and spa facilities, a bonus in hotel choice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bentley and would definitely recommend it.

Our gardening club - 36 in all - booked into the Bentley for 4 nights in June. We were all looked after very well. The food was very good as were the staff and facilities. Everyone was exceedingly happy with our holiday accommodation. The rooms (not ultra modern) had everything we needed and were very clean. The bathrooms had lovely extras and we were provided with dressing gowns to use and slippers too. Just one little constructive comment - the duvets are sooo heavy and I do mean heavy. We had to take ours off and put it on the sofa as it felt like a ton weight. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is situated next to a really good garden centre that also sells lovely clothes and has a huge shoe department. Outside the hotel is a bus stop with a regular service to Lincoln which is around a 20 minute journey I understand. A little tip the hairdryers provided are not great for styling purposes. I took my own with me but the hotel one was fine for my husband.

Just had a lovely stay at this hotel was all last minute but they had a room so decided to stay after visiting family. Staff very friendly and helpful food was great value for money and even had time to use the pool which was a great treat. Will definitely visit again

Easy to find and plenty of hassle free parking mean this hotel has ll the attributes for a good stopover. It has to be said that it is some distance out of Lincoln City centre along a painfully slow congested road, so if you are intent on easy access to the shopping or cathedral/castle, The Bentley is probably not your best choice. However, the rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable and the whole place, including the huge pool is spotlessly clean . We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner....maybe some choice of cold meats/cheese for B'fast would be a nice option ? A slight criticism is that there is no outside view from either the restaurant or the bar. Not a problem on a dark winter's day, but in midsummer it felt a bit claustrophobic. At just under £80 per room midweek B+B the Bentley offers a pretty good vfm.

Always very good food, they do a very good carvery, clean, pleasant and very helpful staff. Family live in North Hykham and prefer to go here compared to other places we've been. Haven't stayed overnight in hotel yet but it all looks very pleasant, we were going to earlier this year but got snowed in and couldn't go. Has quite a large car park so easy very parking. There's a large garden centre next door and close to other shops. Seems to host several weddings and other events as it's got several different function rooms. You need to book for special days like mother's day etc. and it's wise to book for Sunday lunch as it's very popular as it's open to others other than guests. It's very close to Lincoln city centre , only a few miles, with an easy ride in, bus or car. As yet never been able to fault it.

reasons for this review is that the servers didnot pay attention to my wifes food intolerence ie twice offered unsuitable food for her condition my main was beef it was so tough it was hard to cut even my desert(sticky toffee pudding)didnt come with any sauce and it was sub standard as it was stodgy/tough

Needed a night away from home with the wife just to relax. Adter a few hours round Lincoln, we just wanted a chill. Me and the wide went swimming in the onsite pool, which was superb. Then while i relaxed in the bar watching the world cup, the wife went for a pedicure. The evening ended with a nice meal in the bar. It all sounds a bit boring, but it was just what was needed. The breakfast was really good and overall impressed with everything. Lastly, the staff were brilliant and helpful... Would come back again.

Stayed here for one night to attend a nearby function. The Bentley is a lovely hotel, we had a very spacious room and nicely appointed bathroom. We had everything we needed and would have no hesitation in returning. Staff were friendly and helpful. We managed to visit the pool and use the steam room which we found very clean and well looked after. Sadly we didn't have time to try any treatments this time. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. I must say it was very nice to have fresh toast bought to our table instead of the usual 'cook it yourself' which seems to be the norm in many hotels. We had a couple of drinks in the bar in the evening. The gin menu was good and not over the top prices either. All in all an excellent stay, thank you.

From first minute to last this was a very pleasant stay. The room was beautifully clean and the aircon worked well (essential as very hot overnight). Bar well stocked and service good. One of the best hotel meals I have had in years..... chef is definitely punching above his weight here. Couldn't fault a thing with our meal and my steak in particular was cooked to perfection. Very very good cheeseboard. Restaurant staff were really good , always smiling and efficient. Reception staff were friendly and quick to check is in and out. As I say in the title line I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this hotel and the excellent staff.

Stayed in mid June for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. Staff most friendly and helpful. Room very clean and spacious. Food for breakfast was well cooked and a good choice and evening meals very tasty. We would highly recommend.

We booked for a Sunday carvery with friends to celebrate a 50th birthday, the group got so big the said we would have our own room (the Emerald suite). What a fantastic service we got, I had rang before hand to advice them one of the party was a vegan, so the emailed me their menu selections, the staff were so helpful as all the carvery food had sauce or butters on they brought out some plain vegetables to go with the main vegan meal. The desert table was to die for with so many great looking and tasting foods. I had the banoffee pie. I will certainly be going again.

I was surprised this was a BW plus, I guess the spa made it notable. The hotel itself is characterless and slightly claustrophobic with low ceilings and the rooms feel small. Also lacking the usual BW welcome, the staff seemed bored and robotic. The hotel is surrounded by chain pubs on a busy road so nil points for location. The breakfast was good with proper Lincolnshire sausages.

We wanted to break our journey from North Yorkshire back home to Hampshire. We chose this hotel as we had never visited Lincoln and wanted to explore the city. Although a couple of miles outside the city it was ideally situated near the A46 for quick get away down south. The reception staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly both on arrival and departure. The room was roomy and well appointed, although facing the main A46 was not too noisy. It has air conditioning so a good temperature. We did not have breakfast, so cannot comment.

A family wedding reception brought us back to the Bentley Hotel for conveieince of just going upstairs after all the gin........................choice of 10!!! The wedding reception was lovely, the food very nice & the Master of Ceremonies performed is duty admirably. The evening food was equally as nice however the full urn of peanuts a bit of a shock particularily as there had been no questions regarding allergies. The DJ was mediocre, could not get the dance floor full for long with his mix/choice of music. The Suite was ok, really not a suite in our eyes and it was on the road side (A46 Lincoln Bypass) which was busy all night so not great, I would not have expected the suites to be noisy. Breakfast in the room was delivered late but no biggie, he did apologise but the toast was cold & there was no knife to butter it with so I used a spoon!!................girl guide in me, and only 1 mug.so a tad disappointed. Check out is at 12, great however we got a knock at 10.30 asking if the room was free to clean, poor management. Yes I would stay again, the bar staff on the evening were amazing, particularily a dark haired lady who knew her gins & mixers but the queues got long as the 2 of them were rushed off their feet. Easy parking & location

We stayed for the 2 night spa break. The staff were all so friendly and helpful from the minute we walked into the hotel till we left. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The spa treatments we received were of a very high standard. The swimming pool was large for a hotel. Would highly recommend staying here.

I have just come back from my hen weekend staying at this lovely hotel. I could not fault this, all of the staff were totally amazing, so warm and welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is lovely and clean with comfortable bedrooms and the spa experience was brilliant. I had the best relaxing back massage ever. The food was good and the service fantastic from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a big welcoming smile. Thank you so much for making my special weekend so memorable.

We stayed here as family with some other people for two nights. The hotel staff were very accommodating at check in and there isn't much they can do about the noise from other guests but it meant we didn't sleep well at all. The food at breakfast was great but the evening meals were nothing special. The pool is a good size and perfect for a quick splash with the kids. I'd stay here again because it's a good location for Lincoln and easy access off the main road with a big car park, but it's worth looking for a better deal as I don't think it was worth £100 a night.

Haven't stayed at the hotel, but used the spa and salon, went to have a wax, and was left with sticky legs as she didn't wipe all the excess wax away, and lots of hair was missed. Would not recommend.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a celebration and we had a lovely time. The food was great with a wide selection but we was unimpressed with the service from the staff.. They seemed to be very quiet and not very cherpy, we felt we was rushed from doing drink orders to then food to then choosing our bread and being served a small appetiser. No staff came to ask us how are dinner was, they cleared our plates from starter and main with “ are you all finished” and not another word which we found not up to our expectations. The bill was almost £100 and we expect great food and service for that sort of money ! . if the head waiter was there tonight it would be a complete different night as he is amazing ! . Apart from the hiccups in service the food was great and me and my partner left happy after a lovely celebration.

We paid 100£ a night for the hotel only to get a tiny room on the ground floor overlooking a highway, terrible mattress, no minibar and sad breakfast. The air conditioning didn't work and the window wouldn't open. The spa had one booking for massage over 3 days in an unsociable hour so we couldn't use it. The hotel is in the middle of no where with no public transport links which meant we spent over 80£ a day on taxis since the only food options near by are McDonald's and Burger King. I'd avoid!

My wife and I stayed at The Bentley Hotel for a two night stay and found it a very well run, pleasant hotel. The staff were very welcoming and whether it was at reception, in the bar or dining room every member of staff was pleasant, welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was spacious, clean and well maintained.The first night we ate in the bar and on the second in the restaurant and each time the food was well presented and good. There was a good choice for breakfast. The hotel has a Spa with a swimming pool and the whole hotel was clean, tidy and well kept. We would definitely stay at The Bentley again. The only downside is that it is on the outskirts of Lincoln and you do need a car to travel into the city but if you don't mind driving into the city we would recommend The Bentley Hotel,.

Another great overnight stay at Bentley. They do some great offers through Best Western website. Retail therapy in Lincoln then the garden centre then the Bentley for afternoon tea, an hour in the spa ( those hotbeds are great) change for dinner then into restaurant for a smashing three course meal well worth the money. Couple of night caps in bar then off to bed in a lovely soft bed with lots of pillows. Brilliant brekkie then off home. Staff were brilliant great value for money will definitely be back thank you

We stayed for one night bed only, but added breakfast. Couldn't fault the friendliness of all members of staff. On arrival we asked to be changed to a room on the quieter side and was moved to room 246, away from the noise of the traffic. In spite of a wedding reception and birthday party we didn't hear a thing. The swimming pool is fabulous, perfect temperature, and well designed. Breakfast was good, with nice selection of food, and staff in the restaurant were smiling and happy to service our requests. Plenty of parking. Strongly recommend this hotel.

Bed very uncomfortable, no phone signal, WiFi extremely poor, just about get a signal if stand in bathroom door way.Woken up at 3am because of lorry's as next main road and can't get back to sleep.Asked for another room but none available. Would not stay again. Bar food good.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for making our wedding day so special Everything from the minute we came in and saw Clare to book, pestering Sarah along the way and the amazing job that Giovanni did was perfect. Everyone loved the food, many comments from guests saying that it was the best wedding food they had eaten. I was worried that having a relatively small wedding was going to be difficult to pull off in a large venue but I couldn't have been more wrong. The whole package of service and execution was fantastic. One of my guests is an events manager and was really impressed Don't ever let Giovanni leave, you have a gem there. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts

We have just had my husband's joint 60th Birthday and our son's 18th birthday party at this hotel. Cannot rate them highly enough. We had an Elvis themed evening with Elvis inspired food. Graham, the Chef totally embraced this and the food that was served was totally amazing with many guests asking for the recipes for his meatloaf and cornbread. It was of the highest quality. What can we say about the staff...Every single member of staff were fantastic and supportive of our wishes. Mike took all stress away on the evening and just kept being there to do everything with a smile on his face. Huge thank you to Clare who went out of her way to make our event run smoothly and Jonathan for all the help with our party. Thank you to Caroline, always smiling and so enthusiastic about our celebrations. Stayed for 2 nights, used the leisure facilities which are also fantastic. Had hair and makeup done at the Beauty Spa and Hair Salon. The girls were so lovely and I will definitely be back. Absolutely amazing!

group of 7 ladies booked for overnight spa treat.lovely hotel rooms , treatments at spa very good - could have done with seating around swimming pool also staff not keen to give you a dry towel.food excellent however when we booked this the literature on the 1 night spa package states to include 3 course table d'hote dinner.we were all looking forward to having a 3 course meal only to be told, as we were looking at the menu, that we only had an allowance of 25 pounds each towards the meal.nowhere on any info /receipts /invoices received was this mentioned and we were all looking at the menu and prices trying to work out what we could order and what extra we would need to pay.in the end no-one had 3 courses only 1 or 2 courses. i feel that this was missold to us and we were all very disappointed - shame on you...you should have a separate menu of 3 courses if that is the case that covers your costs.for that reason i would not recommend this place as we felt it put a low point in what could have been a fitting end to a nice day.

Really nice Hotel. We stayed on a Sunday and had the Carvery Lunch which was lovely and obviously enjoyed by many locals too. Room was spacious and very clean with all the amenities you would want. Although its near a main road - very quiet too. Swimming pool is lovely as is the gym and both offer excellent facilities which are complimentary to Hotel Guests. Lovely outdoor area for drinks if the weather is fine that is smoker and non smoker friendly albeit, it does look over the car park but still very relaxing. Large free Car Park which is excellent and the Hotel itself is just situated between the A1 and Lincoln within easy reach of the City Centre - so an ideal location for those wanting to explore Lincoln City. Breakfast here, as are all the meals is lovely and the staff are really attentive and nice. Lovely break highly recommend.

We stayed here overnight whilst attending a charity ball at the hotel. There is ample car parking and our check in was quick & efficient with pleasant staff on reception. Initially I was a little unsure when told our room was ground floor toward the lift. However the location was great in the end - well away from the lift so no disturbance there and easy access to the leisure facilities. The room itself was what I expect from Best Western - spacious, clean and I like the "pillow menu", where you can opt for a different pillow option such as feather or hypo allergenic. Travelodge please take note - not everyone likes breeze block hard pillows, choice is lovely. The bed was very comfy. The refreshment tray was well stocked and the biscuits welcome. The ensuite bathroom was a good size, spotless and boasted very soft fluffy towels. There was also a bathrobe in the open hanging areas. Not sure why only one when it was a double occupancy? The pool in the onsite leisure club is very impressive & a great asset to the hotel. It is larger than many so you can really swim good lengths and at neither of our visits was it busy. The changing rooms are a little cramped and I think a spin dryer for swimwear would be a welcome addition if possible. The dining room was surprisingly small for the hotel, perhaps other areas are opened up at busy periods. Breakfast was a good standard overall. The hot buffet selection was quite comprehensive.Our poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the fact we got two was a surprise - nice touch. The coffee could have been better - it tasted a bit burned, as though it had been sitting on a hot plate for a long time prior to being put in our coffees pot. Staff were lovely and attentive. We got a special corporate rate for attending the function & appreciate we had full use of leisure faculties but even so did feel £90 was a little expensive. However overall a very pleasant stay.

This was the second time we have stayed here it so relaxing lovely rooms great food and the staff are excellent they are s credit to the hotel. It is kept spotlesly clean. You can ask for things like toothbrushes toothpaste or other toiletries you may need. As much yes coffee milk biscuits as you like just ask. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in the spa the staff are so friendly and helpfull we had the mud treatment our skin felt so invigorated and realy soft we then spent the rest if the time using the great facilities then last of all up to there relaxation room it offers biscuits and cold drink but if you want a hot drink the staff are more than happy to bring one up to you. It good you can come in and out of the spar with you're robe on as much as you like we went for lunch in ours. It's a bit pricey I think but you certainly get what you pay for here. We would highly reccomended this hotel

For nearly six years we have been staying at the Bentley Hotel for our visits to this wonderful city of Lincoln and apart from the first stay in 2012 (unsuitable children's family room with dodgy shower) every time since then has been almost flawless. We did have a few issues with Best Western with rewards points prior but it was sorted out eventually but did not detract from us staying again for my 35th Birthday week as this is the best hotel within Lincoln. We (or I) chose the Lauren Suite again (3rd time), massive room with 2 king sized beds with a lounge area - Perfect for me and my parents with 2 TV's and air conditioning as it was quite hot when we stayed last week! Breakfast always very good with hot and cold buffet selection. Pool facilities always a bonus - love the hot tub Jacuzzi! Staff always very professional and friendly. The only very slight gripe was with my mum's dinner on Tues eve as her sausage & mash was rather overcooked (sausages rock hard) - but she did get a fresh replacement, other than that the rest of our meals we had were lovely. Hopefully we will be back again soon - if not this year then definitely next year!

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel and first impressions were lovely, greeted by friendly staff who seemed to know what they were doing. At check in we were asked for the name on our reservation, which we told them. We were then asked to sign some paperwork and pay. All ok we were directed to our room. When we got to the room one key worked One didn't....no issue. Got settled into the room and went in the bathroom for a shower, the next thing we know somebody else (another guest) has a key to our room and is letting themselves in! Even though I was undressed ready to get in the shower! The poor man apologised and walked out. We then get a call from reception asking us our name and saying sorry as they'd double booked the room. Went down to reception to complain and we were just told sorry! Not happy at all my privacy was invaded and I didn't feel as I could stay there the night because of what had happened. So paid over £100 for a night that I didn't manage to stay for.....not happy at all

Lovely afternoon tea with my mum and auntie for my belated 40th birthday, lots of variations of sandwiches and cakes and the scones were out of this world !! Endless tea too ..... Lovely, friendly staff especially Jo behind the bar. Thanks Bentley we will be back xxx

Stayed here on business. Had a pleasant and generally well appointed double room. Evening bar food was good, breakfast above average as breakfast buffets go. Had to fiddle with the room heating to find the hidden switch, but the temperature was fine after that. Actually finding the entrance to the car park is tricky as you have to negotiate a narrow twisting road past the garden centre and hungry horse to get to the hotel car park. The hotel is located at the junction of two busy roads so expect some road noise if you get a room close to the road. It didn't bother me too much but I expect that you would want the air-con in summer rather than opening a window. Worst part was the coach party that arrived shortly after me. This is no criticism of the hotel, merely a warning. As a "normal" hotel guest, your are invisible to coach parties as I found with the group who bumped and barged me in the bar whilst I was eating. Hence, ensure that you pick a seat in the bar which is not between the coach party and their food! As I say, not the hotel's fault, but this is a popular stop for coaches visiting Lincoln. As a hotel, i would generally be happy to stay here again. There is use of the very reasonably leisure centre too.

We stayed one night as part of a coach short break to Lincoln. Our modern ground floor room was clean, quiet and modern, simply furnished but very comfortable. The shower had a loose control knob which was a bit tricky but, otherwise the en suite and room were well provided and no other problems. We had a three course dinner which was well presented and cooked and with more than adequate helpings and a level of service which was particularly efficient. Breakfast the next morning was fine, partly buffet style and partly served at the table. The service was not quite as spot on as dinner with a bit of a mix up over our order for coffee and toast but soon dealt with. On the whole, this well run hotel was perfect for our one night stay and we would have happily stayed longer although its out of town position suggests it might be more appropriate for business people, tourists or short term visitors rather than holidaymakers.

We had the family room and it was fantastic, our boys loved the bunk bed. Everything was just right and the staff were fantastic. Comfortable, clean, peaceful, great swimming pool area (didn't use the gym but it looked high spec). Would love to return without the children and try out the spa. Breakfast was very tasty and you could tell good quality. One of my favourite places now and can't wait to visit again.

We booked a family room for Chistmas and were delighted with what we got for our money. Christmas was spent at my parents home locally. the room was huge with 2 double beds and a single, an en-suite and TV. the hotel offered a pool and gym and the breakfast was lovely. thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A two night stay. Comfortable, well appointed bedroom in a quiet ground floor location. All the staff were really helpful, answering questions about location, taxis, buses and Lincoln City centre with good humour and good knowledge. Use of the spa facilities for residents is useful. Food was good and helpfully the restaurant was willing to provide a dish that wasn't on the menu. Bar prices moderate and overall it was an excellent experience. Whoever dictates the background music either has super eclectic tastes or a bizarre sense of humour.

Originally booked this at the beginning of March but had to cancel due to snow, rebooked but as Good friday it was more expensive. Not been to best western hotel for 20 years as i always associated them with older buildings. This is a modern hotel situated at the junction of the A46 and the Lincoln ring road. Easy check in with friendly helpful staff and off to the room 116. Not much of a view but only there for one night. Usual 4* room with comfortable double bed, trouser press, alarm clock , kettle and two chairs. Went to the Spa for a swim in a pool more than deep enough to swim but not good for small children unless supervised. Small sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Did not have dinner there because it seemed expensive but there are two establishments close by, The Beekeeper, and a Brewers Fayre plus a mcdonalds and a Burger King if you have children. Breakfast for £8 which is a full English as much as you can eat ( all good quality) supervised by friendly staff. Would definitely recomend and stay again

Stayed here for just one night, but it was excellent. Although close to the Lincoln Ring Road yet there was no noise at all in the room. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with very good and pleasent service. The reception staff were most helpful and cheerful. The only down point was that mobile phone reception was not good. But there was free wifi.

Stayed at hotel mid week for one night. Ate in bar in evening and had breakfast. All the food was lovely. Service from staff fantastic all, where very helpful. Room was clean and comfy and well equipped. Has good facilities attached to hotel including gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Really enjoyed my stay here, would defiantly go back.

Stayed recently for 3 nights as part of a large group on business. I booked the room for everyone and the staff were so helpful in the lead up to the stay, making last minute changes and confirming details. The rooms were clean and spacious and just what we needed. The breakfast every day was lovely, plenty of choice and good service - they also have gluten free bread so that was excellent! I ordered room service one evening which was quickly delivered, well presented and tasty. it was the first time my company had used the hotel but we'll definitely stay again. My room was on the ground floor facing the main road which was quite noisy in the mornings but I quickly got used to it, if you're a light sleeper I'd request one on the other side.

We were invited to a Golden wedding anniversary party at the Bentley so booked in for the night. We arrived early in the afternoon and after booking in had a drink in the bar and some very fresh sandwiches, made to order. Then in the evening , the party was excellent - The room had been laid out and decorated to perfection and the hot buffet was absolutely wonderful - hot, fresh, tasty and plentiful with a good choice of mains and sweets for all. In the morning we had breakfast before we left and the choice was excellent. My husband had the cooked breakfast and everything was fresh and hot. The service throughout our stay was very good. We would definitely recommend.

You can book the restaurant of the hotel independently, we did for Christmas Day and will never go again after our experience. Our whole Christmas Day was ruined by poor service and food of a mediocre standard which was expensive for level of service and quality. The hotel manager & owner who failed to recognise a major food issue, who decided eventually to offer a meal for 2 as compensation but for a party of 6, that doesn't quite work! so when requested a simple & small % refund, refused, and accused the customer of threatening behaviour, reported to Best western themselves who obviously realised and compensated us more appropriately. My first review has been deleted I wonder why .........

My husband and I stayed for one night on Friday for our first wedding anniversary and it was truly wonderful. The gentleman who checked us in was pleasant and very helpful, couldn't do enough for us. We requested an ice bucket and a couple of flutes for the room which arrived in minutes, as well as an extra robe we requested. There were a couple of guests down the corridor from our room having a blazing row, swearing, screaming, very aggressive. Obviously no fault of the hotel, I called reception to report it and somebody came to deal with it immediately and we didn't hear anything again. The pool and spa were beautiful, so relaxing and very peaceful. The room was lovely, clean, comfy bed, tea and coffee facilities in the room, as well as a lot of fantastic information about the hotel as well as information on the local area. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast the next morning was hot and delicious, plenty of selection even for myself (vegetarian), waiting staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We requested a later check out as we were being picked up later which was no problem the young girl at reception said we could check out at 12, I think her name was Sophie, she was ever so polite, helpful and pleasant. I honestly didn't want to leave this hotel. Even after we checked out we were able to use the pool and spa we stayed until 3pm. Want to go back already!

we went today for an afternoon tea it was very nice i have had a few afternoon teas at various place but this was one of the nicest. We were served by a lovely lady called Caroline who couldn't have done more for us making sure our tea and coffee were full. we didn't like the scones provided and it was absolutely no problem for her to change them for us.

Me and my wife enjoyed a half day spa experience with a hot stones massage, we were given towels and robes to use throughout our day. We used the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and the therma suite. The facilities were all very clean. The ladies from booking, through to the ladies doing our massage were all very friendly and professional. We had also booked an afternoon tea in the hotel, through The Beauty Spa which was one of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. A very good relaxing day.

What a lovely place this is. We went for a standard double with breakfast. The rooms are large and comfortable with everything you could need; even a pillow ‘menu' is provided. Leisure facilities, a bar and restaurant, parking all for a reasonable price. Really friendly and helpful staff make this place stand out.

Sad that other reviewers expect an Aston Martin when they're only paying for a Mondeo. with my job, I have to stay in hotels around the world so can usually tell whether a stay will be good or not after an hour of arrival. The reception staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful (as was the chap that dropped my drinks to the room, 5 minutes or less after I ordered them). You get a great, and I mean really well set out, gym, steam room, sauna and pool all thrown in. I've paid far more for hotels in London and elsewhere that sold themselves as 'elite' and there was no pool. The decoration on one wall of my room was speckled gold. now, I'm not Donald Trump and don't like Gold décor, but this matched the rest of the room decorations and wasn't garish. to be honest, I'm more interested in the comfort and amenities in a room, not what it looks like, and this had a myriad of power points and great wifi plus a desk and communal table with 'and finally Cyril' chairs. The décor in the bar was ok (it's a bar - what do people expect) but the chairs did remind me of 1990's shell suits. having said that, my bum and back were comfortable whilst having a pint (which was also good as there was choice) so what the the soft furnishings look like makes no difference. the bar staff was very friendly too. So, basically, I paid for a standard Mondeo and got a top of the range model with lots of optional extras. I have family in Lincoln (which is why I'm in the hotel) so will be here a lot over the next years but I wont be looking for another hotel - I'm happy here!

This hotel has everything we like. Good food, comfy rooms, great swimming pool and excellent staff. The rooms are always clean and the staff don't spend time making strange animal things with towels that they put on the beds. I'd rather have a towel that hasn't been screwed up for my morning shower!!! This hotel keeps the towels in the bathroom - where they should be.

Overnight stay using their first class facilities. Dinner and breakfast from the extensive menu was of an excellent quality. Room upgrade was well worth it , would recommend it. All staff were very polite , friendly and professional.

The hotel is OK, the decoration is in need of updating and the pool area including changing rooms could also do with updating and painting. Rooms are ok for the price but they also need redecoration. Biggest frustration was that when booking through the Best Western Web page you expect the reservation to be made right, we were told we had no breakfast included when the reservation email clearly stated it was, we didn't like how the staff in the morning dealt with it by making sure to say that out as loud as possible so anyone in the room could hear we had no breakfast Includes, felt like they wanted to make us feel embarrassed of not having it (when we did have it)

I have been here a few times & gets better each time, def when you get an upgrade.I have a BW loyality card, worth signing up it helps.I was checked in by Emma but my room wasn't ready by 11 am as rung up day before to ask for an early check in, but ready by 12.( meanwhile I went over the Beauty Spa & Hair Salon to see if they could fit me in for a Hot stone massage which they could do booked by Jade).Sophie gave me my room key card, lift to 2nd floor. I got an upgraded family exc room 366. The room was huge, huge bed, nice touch a towel made into a swan with 2 mint chocs, one wall with gold sparkle wall paper, Tea/coffee/ hot choc, bis, 2 bottles of water, !st day only crisps. trouser press, ironing board & iron, sofa bed. Dressing gown in the cupboard & slippers by the bedside drawer which I used for the spa. Chrissy from house keeping gave me more tea/milk. Choice of pillows- memory foam, just like down, feather pillow, but had the memory foam which Chrissy brought up. I had diff with the safe, so we both tried, but didn't work.sadly the safe was left locked by the other guests hence couldn't work it. Stephan & Mark DIY men came to do to & worked, tv needed tuning as well ( upgrading ariels soon which they needed to do as no Sky sports) Happy belated birthday to Mark, both very happy chappies.Upgrading the curtains too soon. Lovely smellies in bathroom, flannel, razor, shower cap, sewing kit. Had asked for bath mat inside the bath too which was there.Plenty of towels.Room lovely & warm as the key card was left in all the time as electric heater. AC in room if needed. Bed very comfy indeed, def would have the memory foam pillow again. Breakfast was self service for either hot/cold, but you could have diff eggs as I like my fired eggs hard & turned over like bullets, sadly had to send them back only once.Karen was still there & got a lovely welcome back. Lots of choice for breakfast fruit juices, pastries, cereals, fruit. your toast, hot drinks brought to your table. Gluten free available too. Plenty of jams, butter on the table too. My eggs for the rest of the stay were just right thanks to chief Karl, thanks to Lisa & Paisley & of course not missing out Karen. I eat in " Martini bar" & was served by Caroline. I had Battered chick fillet with BBQ with chips as changed it from spicey wedges & apple juice. All in all very yummy. Bar had a few people in, but mainly for drinks, then went next door to have dinner in restaurant didn't use. only for breakfast. I did us the spa for a fab hot stone massage which was heaven & falling asleep.My treatment was done by Soma & I def would recommend, but booking is the best way of getting in. Thank you I slept so well that night. I didn't use the pool as little too cold for for me or the gym. There is a door between the spa & pool, but opens when you leave the spa via the pool which saved you going out in the cold after your treatment. Free wifi & lots of free parking even with parties going on each night,but away from the room were I was. It was lovely to see Ollie again too, who was rushing round as he always does. I was checked out by Emma. Just to say thank you to you all for making my stay perfect. Would recommend & will be back. Happy 2018 to you all......

A warm welcome by the reception staff and the room was very comfortable. I did use the gym and swim area however the sauna was out of use. That said the pool and steam room were available for use. We didn't use the restaurant for evening meal however we did have breakfast. A good selection however the bacon was rather fatty. The service again was very good though. We did use the bar, but when I asked for a espresso martini, the barman was not clued up on creating the cocktails they advertise... we opted for a G&T and a beer. Overall not a bad place.

As someone who worked with this family business nearly 30 years ago, I have been meaning to give the Bentley a proper look ever since it opened! Check in was pleasant and friendly. The ground floor room was spotless with everything you'd expect available with the unexpected addition of bath robes. First we tried the bar. Pleasant staff and a comfortable environment. We moved on to the restaurant which was very quiet on this occasion. Staff were functional and Giovani also bought conversation and personality to the table. A good choice on the menu and the food and wine was good. A very pleasant evening. After dinner we requested a late check out for the following morning. We were offered an extension at no extra charge. A comfortable bed and an excellent nights sleep despite the A46 being just a stone's throw away. (Sound proofing must be good!) The following day we relaxed in the Spa. An excellent pool and hot tub spa and also some heated beds. All very pleasant and relaxing and a great asset for the hotel. We stayed so long that we missed our chance for lunch so we went to the pub next door instead. We came back to the hotel bar to finish with coffee. Being January, I expected to be offered a good rate by ringing the hotel direct. Oddly, this wasn't the case and a better price could be found by booking online. (If I hadn't been keen to try this particular hotel, I'd have rung an alternative at this point) I'm sure we'll be back again before long :-)

Went with a party of friends for a pre- Christmas lunch. Sadly one of our party of 8 died a week before the meal . Rang to cancel the meal and was told there was no refund despite the circumstance. The meal itself started and ended well but the main course of traditional turkey was sadly lacking. The meal was barely warm, the turkey had little flavour and the vegetables were .... raw ! I know it is trendy to not over cook them but they were crunchy. I could not even cut the carrots. As they had so little time in the pan they were virtually cold. Gravy was in short supply and so couldn't try to heat the food up with that. Plates were tepid at best. Such a shame.

Check in swift and friendly. Everything explained well. Room on ground floor spacious and warm on arrival. Bathroom clean but one of the two towels had stains but as travelling alone just used the other provided. Breakfast in the morning was the star of the show. Staff extremely friendly and polite without being intrusive. The poached eggs cooked to order were perfect and the rest of the self service breakfast was hot and delicious. Very rare on a buffet! Check out was easy, again the staff were efficient and friendly. All the staff without exception are great and a credit to the management.

Travelling with a large group it did everything expected well. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff pleasant and responsive. They rectified the tour manager's oversight having split us from our children's rooms by a floor. The breakfast buffet is vast and sets you up for a great day. The bar food and drink is ok but the pub next door is better. The restaurant looked quite good but we didn't make it there as we are travelling with children.

Best feature of this hotel, without doubt, is its staff. Everyone we met was so friendly and were so keen to do anything for you as a guest. I was staying in Lincoln on business, and my wife was able to join me, we had a really good night in the hotel bar, which had a surprisingly good selection of whiskeys. I chose the Bentley a I'd stayed there over a decade ago and had a good stay. Although it's some way out of town, most of the city centre hotels have no parking, and Lincoln hates the motor car and I wanted less stress around getting parked up etc. Also with the 2 spas on site plenty for my better half to enjoy whilst I was working. Comfortable room, OK could probably do with some updating, but clean and functional and very very good value. Excellent breakfast in the morning. I would have no hesitation in staying here again

Have visited once before to attend a function. The meal was a set menu with three choices. Food excellent, staff very efficient. Alas the whole experience for me being in a wheel chair was made upsetting by other guests whom I presume were starving trying to push me out of the way. As most self service counters are the same height it is very difficult for me to see what is in the containers so need help (which slows things down a bit) Vowed not too go ever again? Changed my mind. This time no large party, what a deference. Staff so very pleasant and efficient. Helped me in every way including plating my meal. The meal was sumptuous. WILL go again.

Comfortable stay, excellent facilities, reasonably priced for the level of accommodation offered. Did not find any faults during the stay.Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Lincoln on business or pleasure.
