« awesome gem in Leamington »

My famly and I had a awesome stay last weekend, the staff at check in and check out were very quick and professional. Dinner in the bistro, was very good, and an excellent childrens menu. The kids loved the pool and slides and our pet even got a gift at check in . Will definitely be back !!

« visit to Pelee ,nearest hotel. »

Enjoyed a one night stay In a comfortable nicely decorated room . Only problem; we were on 3rd floor with climbing stairs from 2nd floor. with heavy bags . So try to avoid 3rd floor. No free breakfast unfortunately Breakfast should be include in the price .

    « turkey man »

Kind staff and a great place for kids. I would definitely use again if in the area. Would be good if they increased to offering of wine in the bar. Not everybody would be impressed with which wines were on offer. Turkeyman

    « A Gem in the town »

This is the best hotel I have ever visited so far...we were total 5 (incl. a kid of less than 4 Yrs) visiting Pelee Island in September 2016. So we booked this hotel and we were amazed with it's ambiance and amenities. It has water parks, pool, play area, lots of other stuff for kids and adults. We had rain for a whole day, but we were never bored in this hotel. Very close to Pelee Provincial Park and within 15 mins drive to take the Ferry towards Pelee Island. Highly recommended for couples or families with small kids.

    « Thoroughly Impressed! »

I am a frequent business traveler and generally do not stay at BW hotels. The facility is well-cared for, rooms are renovated and you can feel the pride the staff has. The food and service is superior; I highly recommend eating there. I will definitely stay at this facility again. My expectations were exceeded.

    « Good and Bad »

The good. From the outside it looks good. Great place for families. Lots to do. Enjoyed dinner at the bistro, the price wasn't bad and the server was very friendly. The front lobby staff are very friendly and helpful. The bad. Housekeeping We found a long black hair on the bed when we pulled back the covers, found another one on the bathroom floor. The next morning it got worst, we had been eating popcorn the night before, and a few crumbs were left on he night stand, when my wife brushed the popcorn into her hand she discovered the whole top of the table was covered in ants. Not impressed. We told the front desk about the issues and they were very apologetic and even gave us 50% off our stay. Needless to say, we would be very reluctant to stay at this hotel again.

« Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel »

Everything was excellent. On the weekend it is very busy with lots of children. They have a play area that is a paradise for kids. Pool tables, table tennis, badminton, basketball, giant jungle gym just to mention a few amenities. The pool is a very good size for swimming and it also has a couple of slides. The inside rooms overlook the play area so can be noisy especially on the weekends. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed my stay there very much.

    « Kid-Friendly Adult-umm... »

My wife and I stayed here in Oct. 2016. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. If you have kids there appears to be a lot here to occupy them. A pool, a large games area with a slide etc. Which is great.. I guess. .. Unless you don't have kids. In which case your weekend get away turns into 48 hrs of screaming children running up and down in their swimsuits. (An annoyance trumped only by loud, entitled parents who look suspiciously at anyone who comes within 15 of the children they seem to feel should have the run of the entire property.) .. On the upside, the door to our room did a more than adequate job of muffling the noise. Also it is located very near to Point Pelee Park. So if bird watching is your game then you'll find it convenient. .. For a couples weekend get away though, you might be well advised to look elsewhere.

    « Almost Completed »

I called ahed to find out if the renovations were complete after reading other reviews. Was assured they were but the day we arrived they were still finishing the the main lobby and then the next day they started work on the outside at the main entrance. The rooms are completely finished and the manager and staff are very proud of the facelift. The hotel was near capacity with renovation crews that were working in the flooded areas in Windsor. This made for noisy early mornings and a breakfast area that ran out of items by 8 a.m. We will stay again and enjoy this renovated facility.

« Best Family Hotel Ever »

We couldn't wait to get back your the room after a day touring the area. The atrium had dozen activities for the kids today enjoy & the pool was large with two awesome slides. The water was warm and there are lifeguards in both areas. The breakfast here is also amazing.

    « Best Western Leamington »

Awesome place !! Awesome staff !! Great Food !!! What more can i say... The staff is so happy, and wendy took care of our every needs. I love the small town feel, Lots of things to do at the hotel and all around. I even got a gift for my pet !!!

    « Great for kids »

Heads up, if you do not like kids, do not stay at this hotel. it has a great family environment with lots to do. Warning, if you want to use the water slides prepare to pay $10 a day. wifi in every room was great and they were clean. A bit difficult to navigate, but adaptable.

    « A very pleasant surprise »

This was my first stay at this hotel. I knew it was previously a dated motor inn before. But Best Western has done a great job renovating the property into a contemporary hotel. The decor in my room, the lobby, lounge and restaurant are all very well done and pleasing to the eye. The staff are warm and welcoming and one member went out of his way to make my stay a pleasant one when I had a bit of a problem. Their rates are competitive and I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Leamington.

    « Nice little Gem »

Haven't stayed in a Best Western in ages. This one was excellent and very unique. Looks to have been an old motel that was expanded and closed in. There is a massive atrium complete with a volleyball court, basketball hoops, ping pong table and kids play area. Also an arcade. Connected at the end a wonderful pool area with two large slides. Noisy you say? Of course it is but it is noisy with fun and the hotel shuts it all down at 11:00 which is more than fair. A great family hotel in an underrated city. Go visit Leamington and stay at the Best Western. You won't regret it.

    « Great family trip »

We stayed at Best Western Plus Leamington in August (2016) as a family trip. I can tell you that the kids (5/3) had a blast both in the pool and indoor play area. Our room was clean and overlooked the indoor play area, which was nice as we could come and go from the room with a view of our children at all times. The kids play structure was a huge hit and my kids made friends quickly. they both enjoyed the two water slides and pool are and when the slides shut down during the middle of the day it was the perfect time for lunch and dry activities. I used the gym, it was smaller then my (small) home gym but perfectly fine for a quick morning workout before the rest of the family woke up. The staff is very friendly and quick to address any concerns. Overall it is a great place to stay with young children as they are never board with all the play options within the hotel.

    « Under pressure »

I stayed at this hotel twice this year for work trips. I basically live in hotels so even the little things can make or break my stay. The ambiance of the hotel is really nice. Great open lobby, cute restaurant set up at the front (don't order the salmon. It was so over cooked it was dry as a bone and barely edible. At least they gave me 20% off and apologized. But the tomato soup was delicious as one would expect from the tomato capital of Canada and maybe the world?!), hallways were clean etc. The rooms are ok. Nothing special. Beds are decent. But the side of the building facing the interior I was told by my colleague that the AC didn't work. Not acceptable. He said they offered him a free breakfast only the next morning so he sweat all night during a heat wave. Also said there was NO hot water in his shower. A second colleague staying on that side had the same issues with no hot water and minimal AC. I think I know where the water went. To the side I was on! My shower was scalding skin burning hot if you wanted ANY sort of pressure. Otherwise it was a trickle. I had to shower in what must have been less water pressure than a garden hose. Asked twice for it to be fixed when I was at work, but it never improved. It took me 30 minutes to wash my hair (it's chin length) because it took that long to rinse the shampoo out with such little water. What did they offer me? A free breakfast as I was checking out, at that. Terrible. Also not a great offer when work pays for my food anyways or nearly enough to compensate for my wasted time trying to clean my body. Another note was the gym. No air flow no working air conditioning. Sweating before you even exert yourself is not fun. Needless to say if there was somewhere else of the same level to stay in leamington, I definitely would next time. Hopefully they fix their water and AC issues so that people don't have to go through what I did. Hotel has a lot of potential, too bad it's so inconsistent with basic infrastructure.

    « Great stay »

Hotel looks great since upgrades and staff is very friendly. The chef at the buffet was super nice and was working really hard and keeping up really well. I think her name was betty... She even made me something to fit my dietary needs ??Great stay :)

    « A Quick Weekend Trip »

My wife and I decided to drive up to Canada for a long weekend and check out the Leamington area and visit Point Pelee and a couple other places. We booked this hotel because it looked nice and had good reviews. We arrived around 1 in the morning and had no problems checking in. We got to our room and checked everything out. It was fine, no issues. The place was pretty nice. We had a king bed and the room even had a fridge and a microwave. It wasn't anything super fancy, but it was clean and that's what we care most about. We did check out the pool one night and that was pretty nice as well. We called down to the front desk before going and asked what time the pool closed and they told us 11. When we arrived at the pool, the sign on the door said 11 as well. One of the main reasons we wanted to visit the pool was for the water slides. When we got down there, probably around 9:40 or so, we were informed that the water slides closed at 10. Wish someone would have told us this or would have been posted somewhere. If you're planning a visit, keep in mind that the water slides close an hour before the pool does! This hotel also has a game/activity area. It's a large open space that have play equipment for the kids, as well as a basketball hoop, ping-pong and pool tables, and a badminton net. This is a great area for guests with kids, however, we did notice that a lot of the rooms open up right into this activity area. If you're visiting this hotel and want some quiet, I would suggest requesting a room on the outer part of the hotel, not towards the middle within this area. The location of this place was pretty good too. Very close to Point Pelee and about 10-15 minutes or so to Colasanti's which is another fun place to visit. Overall my wife and I were very happy with our stay. We made use of most the amenities and we pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The only thing that would have made this stay better would have been if they offered a continental breakfast. Breakfast is available for purchase at their restaurant, but we didn't try it. We went elsewhere for our meals. If you're looking for a nice place to stay while visiting this area, I would definitely recommend this place. We will definitely keep this place in mind if we ever visit again.

« Great place to stay, will be back »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. It was unfortunate that the water slides and the restaurant were closed because of the holiday Monday. Otherwise, it would have been great. We will definitely be back and have already told lots of friends about this place.

« Great stay for business trips - Staff is wonderful! »

I come here monthly for work. The staff always remembers me and is extremely friendly and accommodating. Wendy is always one of my favorites to see working here. She provides the best customer service!

« Great stay for family visit. »

Room was great, ground floor with a sliding door leading to parking lot outside was great for our family. Housekeeping service was great. There was a wedding one night and some minor noise but nothing out of the ordinary. We stayed in mid June. My only complaint would be about the limited hours of availability for the water slides as I wanted to use them with my son. Check in and check out were smooth and painless.

    « Great Place »

Just came back from a few days in south western Ontario and had a wonderful stay at the Best Western in Leamington. The room was very clean and hotel staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We were there several years ago before it became a Best Western. Since then, a whole new atrium with an extensive play area has been added. It has a fabulous pool with water for the whole family. The breakfast buffet was quite good.... $10.00 for adults and children under 3 eat for free. Would definitely return and would recommend the hotel to others.

« Nice hotel except for the ants »

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice and clean. However, I got a pizza and left it on the table for 2 hours (fell asleep before I could put in fridge) and had an ant colony all over the table, the pizza, the in-room Keurig and on floor around table. No clue where they came from! This happened the Friday night and I told the front desk around 8am when I left for a spa day. I returned around 3-4pm and still ants everywhere and no maid service in room yet. I mentioned it again and went out for a few hours and when I came back it was cleaned up. Made me nervous to leave a drink or anything out. I dont feel it is normal for that many ants to appear. It was a lot, not just a couple. Pizza was totally covered and ants all over. I hope they look into that deeper. I didn't like the feeling that the guy was acting like it was my fault because I fell asleep for 2 hrs and left the pizza out. I know it isn't normal for an ant colony to swarm a hotel room like that. I am surprised they wouldn't switch me to a different room as there must be a problem with ants somewhere. I didn't even have a room with patio facing outside, so not sure where they came from. I found my A/C didn't work well. My temperature actually went up and I had it set to cool, etc. My mom, who was in the room beside me, hers was a lot cooler. Not sure why mine wasn't working but I mentioned it and was told it was fine. Hopefully they look into that deeper as well. As a tip, I would request a room with the balcony facing the parking lot or outside as opposed to it facing the "play centre". It is super loud from the morning until about 11pm at night. Maybe a better idea to have the families in the rooms facing the "play centre" so they can enter it easy and have the people without kids or couples, etc have the rooms with balconies facing outside. Everything in the room was nice and clean (except the ants). The TV was nice, having a Keurig was nice and having a fridge and microwave was great as well. The beds were comfortable, a little too soft for me, but comfortable. Bedding was clean. Bathroom was clean. Housekeeping staff I met in the hall were really friendly along with most of the front desk staff. We got passes to tour the Pelee Winery in Kingsville, which was a nice bonus. They have an indoor play centre, pool, water slides, etc. I never used any of them but sounds great for families. They served coffee and water in the lobby 24/7. Hotel is looked just outside Leamington, close to the Point Pelee entrance. Overall, a nice place with some flaws.

« Fun for the entire family!!! »

This is great choice for quick getaway for the family. The staff was friendly and hotel was clean.I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a friend family environment. The restaurant also has great food.

    « really like it »

room is super clean and I like the decor. the indoor swimming pool, water slides and indoor play ground were great! kids have lots of fun. Staff are very nice too. We had dinner in the restaurant and food qualify is surprisingly good. Only cons I have is the breakfast buffet, there was a short time that milk and plates/forks not refilled in time. not a big concern for us.

    « Fabulous place for a children's weekend »

Loved this hotel for a get-away involving young children ! Located close to the entrance to Point Pelee, this facility has a great indoor water park and other activities which would interest young children . My three grandsons are 5,8 and 11 and loved every minute of it . The Pool area had 4 lifeguards so I felt like I could relax and the area was well supervised. The rooms were very well appointed and the beds are extremely comfortable. There is a restaurant , bar and convenience store available within the hotel, but others are minutes away if you wish to go elsewhere. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful which contributed to making our stay a pleasant experience . We will definitely book a return visit. Not only was the hotel a great place to stay , Point Pelee has so much to offer in terms of an educational experience for both children and adults .

    « MR. »

Over all not to bad of a stay. Pool Water was dirty and smelled like old sweaty socks. Water slide not working Hallways smelly from Dogs, Prices to high, no free breakfast, will shop for better value for my dollar next time.

    « Pleasant Surprise »

I was given the task of finding a hotel. Not being familiar with the southwestern Ontario landscape I was somewhat apprehensive. We found that although the hotel is a bit out of the way, it more than made up for in appearance, cleanliness and friendliness. We stayed in rooms overlooking the play area which were really great. Were afraid it might be a bit noisy, but that was not the case. The friendliness of the staff was astounding, specially Michael at the front desk and the girls who served breakfast. A ray of sunshine, all of them. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a nice décor. We would definitely recommend a stay there. Great job!

« Avoid the central rooms »

Two couples in Point Pelee for the weekend. The hotel's open concept HUGE play area is great for kids and families but not for couples. If you want quiet, ask for an outside room as the entire hotel encircles the very loud play area. The buffet breakfast was simply mediocre so we passed. Our friends had a noisy air conditioning unit and they had difficulty sleeping. We probably wouldn't stay again.

« Would stay here again »

Another good stay at the Best Western Leamington. Nice hotel, comfortable bed and good location close to the park. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was very good and reasonably priced. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

    « August 20, 2016 »

Location in a quiet part of town. Has a pool and waterpark in the center of hotel. We were on an outside wall so we never heard any noise. Food was surprising good for a BW. We had a late dinner after our event was rained out and all members of our party enjoyed their meals. Location was rated very good only because you had to drive or taxi to places in downtown. It was also excellent because it was in a quite area.

« Pleasant over night stop »

Stayed at this spot while visiting family in the area. We arrived around 5 pm and were checked in quickly. We decided to have supper in the hotel; I enjoyed classic perch dinner, while my wife had chicken wings. The Point Pelee Chardonnay was fantastic! The room was clean and modern, microwave, fridge, Big screen TV. Great spot for kids with swimming pool, water slides, tennis, ping pong, pool tables. Room opened on viewing area, we were second floor of 3 floors. Room was quiet even with activity below. Staff were friendly and obliging. Breakfast is not included in room price, as it can be at some BW plus locations. Full buffet $10. adult, $5 child or off the menu. Enjoyable stay.??

« A Hidden Gem In Our Backyard »

If you are looking for outstanding service, a very clean hotel with many amenities, excellent food in the restaurant, and a very personable and helpful staff, this is the hotel for you. It makes me proud to be a resident in the Leamington area knowing that we support a hotel that caters fully to a visitor's needs as well as the staff at this hotel does. Very reasonable rates, a pool with two waterslides and many more amenities made our visit with our two grandchildren memorable and wanting to return. Thank you Best Western for a great stay and a great venue. Thank you Janet and Dani for being the special people that you are. You are the type of staff anyone would want to have serving them.

« Three days in Leamington - good hotel »

We stayed in August 2016 for 3 nights. I was nervous to stay at one place in case it wasn't nice but it was really good. Clean rooms, all the little things ie: soap shampoo supplied. Thankfully we got an outer room which means it doesn't face the play area and pool. If you have a family, that would be a better choice as you could watch them play from your room. But as a mature couple we preferred the quiet. I have two suggestions for this is the breakfast, everything was really good, fresh made and hot as we ate there each morning BUT it should be included, or at least have a continental. Most hotels do now and for the price of a Best Western it should have it. I also learned that its up to the owner of each hotel and every other Best Western we stayed at on this trip had breakfast included. The other suggestion is the ridiculous idea of charging $10 for each person to use the 2 water slides in the pool area. I took care of that issue and so did others but some didn't and I felt bad for families with 3 kids, there is another $50 on top of hotel and meals. That's a nasty way to get make more money, include it or charge more for the room. We did enjoy the salt water pool and I tried the slides and all was excellent. Some outside chairs would be nice too as it was so hot out. The hotel is just outside of town, by a few minutes, really quiet and close to Pelee National Park. Lots of parking. All and all a good stay and would return if ever in the area.

« Getaway with the grandkids »

We had a very nice 2 day stay with our grandkids, ages 7 and 5. We had a great time, the hotel was nice and clean, the pool and slides were fun for them. And as it was summer, the area around the hotel is beautiful. Seacliffe Park is nice with a lovely beach and splash pad. Would love to visit again in the future

    « Fantastic stay »

I had a great stay at this hotel with my husband and 2 year old. Everything about our experience was fantastic, from the check-in front desk staff, room was clean, bed was comfortable, buffet breakfast was nice and great value, the pool and play area were very good. Very well managed hotel and nice staff, have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

    « Atrium is a Kid Zone »

The atrium is a foam ball pit for kids. Your sliding door will not delete the sound. Good luck with that. If you have kids you should be there supervising them and taking care not on level 2 slamming bud lights! The purpose of the sliding door eludes me. Drunks try and get in your room @ 4am. It is Leamington I understand this but 4 reaL?

« Would stay here again! »

Very clean, well managed hotel. Staff very friendly. One issue we had was the room we stayed in could not be fully accessed by the elevator which is probably due to the pool and games area that our room overlooked. We had to take elevator to second floor and then take steps to third floor. Another time we would ask for a different room.

    « A Better Best Western. »

Reception was very friendly, quick and efficient. Room was great, just what we hoped for and on the outside, away from the noisy inside pool and game room, again, just as we had asked for. A couple of irritants though: 1. The air conditioner NEVER stops running, no matter what setting. 2. A balcony is nice if only the noise from MANY air conditioners were not so loud. No chairs or table is provided even if you did want to sit outside to enjoy your morning cuppa. 3. A printed TV Channel guide would help when looking for a certain channel. Channel 4 has one of those 'patience testing' scrolling guides. 4. Should you want to be in the Downtown area, this hotel is out of the way. . We had breakfast in the lounge area apposed to the buffet. Service was great and this is worth mentioning: We both ordered similar but my wife didn't want the home fried potatoes or toast so the waitress told her that she would be cheated with only a half full plate and suggested she might like a fruit bowl instead. . . Now THAT IS SERVICE !!

« Good hotel for the price and location »

Comfortable beds, the playroom is great for the kids and adults, however it's noisy at 8am so ask for room away from the play area if that's a concern. Towels in the swimming area were always missing. Most staff were nice, breakfast was good for the price and the lobby area was great for relaxing. Free coffee all day there. The resort charges $5/night for resort fee and $10/night to use the water slides. Location is good and this is probably the best hotel in the area.

« Great for kids and dogs »

This hotels was very dog friendly. They give you a little package of stuff for your dog at check in. There is an indoor pool and good slides (but it's not great wolf lodge) for the kids to keep busy. There are life guards too which is nice. In the indoor courtyard there are pool tables, badminton, play structure for the little ones. Locals tell me this place has been renovated recently and i agree it's up to date. The buffet breakfast was reasonably priced too for a basic selection. Staff is friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Also this hotel is great for staying near the go kart track (point pelee kart club is within walking distance) since we all were in town for some racing. Plenty of free parking too.

« Hottest days last week! from 21st to 24th July »

I have to say, I was surprised how well kept this hotel was. I travel 90% of time for my work but this time it was for pleasure. 2 kids and the dogs! We were in a room facing the atrium and it was great. not too loud and they closed the lights at night. Overall really pleased with the service given. The pool and play area were great! the slides were what we wanted for the kids and they delivered! well done guys! keep up the good work. more towels in the pool area would be great! and your AC is stuck at 71 but how hot it was, I Think it's understandable!

    « great night out »

for three hundred bucks, for two rooms for two families, this was great value - our sound proof room opened onto the sports centre and was metres away from the pool the kids loved it.. sure there was no ice in the ice machines and it was a bazillion degrees out side but the bar fridges kept our beers cold

    « Great Stay »

We booked this hotel because it was close to Point Pelee National Park. If you have kids then this will be a great hotel for you as they have a lot of activities - basket ball court, ping pong, pool tables, play area and badminton available all indoors plus a pool. (looks like some cost) Rooms are large and clean. Noise wasn't a problem, we were worried that it might be given all rooms face the activity area.

    « Very helpful staff »

The staff was very helpful and friendly and went out of his way to help us and provided the best customer service. I travel quite a bit for business and this by far was the most courteous and helpful staff member I ever came across.

    « Too noisy. »

No easy access to rooms for people with disabilities. Very noisy due to activity play area and the pool. Long walks to rooms with luggage. The beds were comfortable and the staff attentive. I would not stay here again because of the noise.

    « Great Hotel Stay »

I had stayed at this hotel about 8-9 years ago and it was awful. I must say that I was more than impressed with the renovations that have taken place since it became a Best Western. The pool and waterslides have not changed, but the rest of the hotel seems to have had a total makeover. The play structure for kids is awesome, kids 4-10 will likely get the most use out of it. The lobby is awesome and very spacious. We has a room that did not face the atrium and I think that was a good choice as I have stayed on the atrium side and it can get very loud if you are trying to get a little one to sleep. If you want the kids to be out of the room and running around then request a first floor atrium room. If you want them in bed and getting a good sleep go for a room that does not face the atrium. Overall this hotel is great and I really suggest it for young families.

« Time to get more cots, Best Western! »

Overall the hotel was quite lovely. We'd been to the hotel before, prior to the most recent round of renovations, and they've really improved the overall look and feel of the hotel. The water park and play area, where the indoor pool used to be, are fun and well maintained. The waterslides are well supervised by a team of lifeguards. However, we asked about a cot for our son before arriving and were told they couldn't be booked in advance, so we should arrive as early as possible (3 pm being the earliest check in time). We arrived by 4 pm and told them right away that we wanted a cot. When no cot showed up, we continued to ask?we made 3 requests the first day, and were finally told (at 9 pm) that there was no cot for us left. When asked, the maintenance person told us that this was the first he'd heard of our request. The second day, eager that we'd have a cot for the second night of our stay, we asked to be sure to get a cot at 8 a.m. in the morning. We asked 4 more times throughout the day, and were told, yet again, that they were all gone. As luck would have it, my in-laws were also staying at the hotel, and they were given (by chance) the adjoining room! They had a pull-out couch in their room, so my son could sleep there. When the maintenance staff came up to make up the pull-out couch for us, they said that the hotel had only 6 cots. (By my estimation there are probably about 100 rooms (?) in the hotel. 6 is obviously NOT ENOUGH! It seems to me that the biggest problem is that there were communication issues between the front desk and maintenance staff, so that we weren't getting access to the "list" to get the first available cot. Something is wrong with your system, Best Western Plus Leamington! If you want quiet, be sure to request "balcony side" (i.e. away from the atrium) for a quieter stay. This is very important! Also didn't realize that this hotel had "dog-friendly" rooms. We had searched Yelp for hotels like this before and nothing came up. Wish we had known, as we paid for a kennel!

« Trip to Pelee island/ hotel stay »

We stayed overnighted here during a father/ daughter motorcycle trip from Port Dover to Pelee Island. Check in was excellent, the room was very good with 2 very comfortable beds. We loved the saltwater pool and even had a good laugh on the water slides, really just kid sized but still fun.. The restaurant was closed by 9 so we went just down the street 5 min or so and there are a couple good places to grab a bite, would have given it 5 stars if the restaurant was open later. Overall very happy with this hotel.

    « 6:44pm »

Very nice hotel. We went there for a weekend getaway from the big city. What attracted us was the amenities that the hotel has to offer such as a large pool with water slides, indoor atrium fully stocked with things for kids to play on. Bed is more comfortable than my bed at home! Overall a great place and we will be returning.

    « Great for families »

Newly renovated, nice and clean with friendly staff. But majority of rooms open onto interior atrium area that was a children's play zone (didn't realise this when I booked). Was very loud at times but did shut down at 11pm. Wouldn't opt to stay here again unless had to just due to the atrium play area - not having kids with me, it wasn't what I wanted/needed.

« Great hotel to start your southern Ontario adventures from »

For the second time in two years, I ventured into Essex County to explore the area. Unlike in 2014 however, I stayed exclusively on the Canadian side rather than venture onward to Detroit; taking in the sights of downtown Windsor, Leamington and Point Pelee. I stayed at this great hotel on the outskirts of Leamington along with my mother and stepfather last August, and we had a good time; in no small part due to the amenities provided and relative location to many of the attractions around the county, being only around 45 minutes away from Windsor. Firsty, the good aspects of the location. The Best Western Plus Leamington Hotel and Conference Centre is one of the largest lodgings in town, and most attractions within the surrounding area are no more than an hour's drive away; in particular Point Pelee which was the main purpose of our visit. The building's only two stories high, and immediately outside on all sides is the parking lot, so it's easy to park your car close to the side of the hotel you're staying in; in our case the room overlooked Bevel Line Rd. It features a conference room and business centre with very strong (and free) wifi located in the lobby as well as the rooms (two separate networks, but it's still possible to access the lobby wifi from your room depending on where you are). The rooms themselves are quite clean; typically with two beds and a nice view of the outdoor wilderness. It also contained a generously-stocked bathroom and other amenities. A fairly numerous amount of rooms are accessible directly from the sizable arcade and playroom at the centre of the facility. The arcade features a good variety of classic games and adjacent to the game cabinets are two small basketball courts. Opposite the playroom is the pool, complete with plenty of deck chairs, tables and two water slides for the kids. Due to its family-friendly nature, the pool itself only has a small deep end (which isn't too deep; about 5 feet from the floor to the water level). The reception desk was always helpful in answering our queries and suggesting places to go, which we eagerly went to. Lastly, the housekeeping services were attentive and timely; my mother forgot to tell the reception that I was coming along, so my bed lacked sufficient linens. After we asked them to provide some sheets, they promptly prepared my bed and left an extra set in case (which we ultimately didn't need). As for the downsides of the hotel, there were only a few. The major downside I discovered was that you needed to pay a $10 fee just to use the slides in the pool. There is one straight slide and and level slide, but neither were as large as some slides I've been on at a few community pools near my residence, and there wasn't an additional fee to use those (the privilege was usually included in the price paid to access the pool at those centres in the first place). We ultimately decided it wasn't worth it to go on those relatively small slides. Additionally, the continental breakfast was as to be expected based on other hotels we've been to. However, it seemed as though sufficient meal stocks were not available for all guests, as the trays would be sometimes 1/4 full if not more within an hour of the cessation of breakfast. The coffee selection, while adequate and good-tasting, was not as varied as in other hotels I've been to with a similar level of service. Lastly, we were fortunate that our room did not enter into the arcade, because that's also a double-edged sword with potential noise levels that could otherwise have interrupted our enjoyment of the room, including sleep and relaxation. Overall, I'd say if you're going to be in the area, stay in this hotel, as its level of service and good central location make for a good base to explore the rest of the attractions that make Essex County renowned for its sights and beauty. Just be prepared for additional charges if you wish to enjoy the water slides.

« Perfect place to stay with chlidren »

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at with my children. The rooms are clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly and best of all there are tons of things to do to keep your children busy. Just an FYI there is a small fee ($10 per room) to access the water slides, but it was definitely worth it. Another thing to be aware of is that the atrium is open (and very busy and loud) until 11:00pm, so if you have children who go to bed earlier than that and can't sleep through the noise don't get a room with an atrium view. There is a no noise policy after 11:00pm and I was impressed to see that staff were actually walking around the halls to ensure it was quiet, I've stayed in many hotels that claim to have a no noise policy after a certain time but this is the first time I have seen a hotel actually enforcing it. Between my sister and I we had 6 children ages 6-14 and there were lots of things for all of them to do. The water slides were perfect for the younger children, the older girls said the slides were boring but the pool was warm so they still enjoyed swimming. The atrium was great. The older girls enjoyed playing basketball, table tennis and badminton (balls and everything are available at the front desk). The indoor playground was a great way for the younger kids to burn off some energy before the drive home. The breakfast buffet was a good price, but it wasn't very well stocked. When we got there they were running low or out of almost everything (including dishes) and it took a while for everything to be restocked. Once it was the food was good. The selection was reasonable for the price (eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, home fries, french toast and toast). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again next time we need a hotel in that area.

« Clean, fresh and fun! »

We were very impressed with BW Leamington! It has been recently updated and is clean and modern. The rooms were large and spacious with comfortable queen beds. Rooms had microwave and small fridge; bathroom was clean. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the atrium. I was worried it would be loud but there was very little noise from the atrium in our room. The pool was warm, clean and a lot of fun! There were 4 lifeguards for the slides and the landing was only 3 feet deep so it was safe for smaller kids. The atrium was great fun as well with basketball court, badminton, indoor climber, pool and table tennis.

« Fantastic Dog Friendly Hotel »

This hotel has a great out of the city location. It was very close to Point Pelee, the marina, and some fun restaurants. This was a great value for our Best Western points and the most dog friendly hotel we've ever stayed at. Having a sliding door access outside was very convenient for dog walks and unloading/packing. The grounds were a beautiful place to walk.

« Great Family Weekend Getaway »

My son and I visited the Best Western Plus 3 times in the last six months. Once in February, once at the end of March and the Canada long weekend in July. My son and I absolutely love this hotel and are planning another visit in August. Let me begin by saying we absolutely love the customer service manager by the name of Wendy!!! She is simply fantastic. She is wonderful with my three year old son. He even gives her a hug when he sees her. Wendy informed us that Leamington puts on a fireworks show at the Marina to celebrate Canada Day and I really appreciated knowing this as it was my son's first time seeing fireworks. We had a fantastic night. Thanks Wendy! She is wonderful with customers and makes them feel like VIP. Jessica is another lovely young lady who works the front desk and is always eager to help. Jessica made a wonderful suggestion to see the Art at the Marina exhibit. Thanks for the tip! Brian is new to the Best Western family and was being trained at the front desk. He always had a smile on his face and asked how our stay was and if there was anything he could do to make it better. Everything was great! The rooms are large and clean. They are equipped with a freezer/fridge and microwave which is convenient. The Atrium area gives you the feeling of a larger living space. My son loves the play area and it is a safe environment. My mother and I enjoyed a game of indoor badminton. The pool and water slides are always a hit. I would make one recommendation that the slides should be included in the price of the stay. This last visit the chlorine scent was stronger than our previous two visits. The lifeguards on staff were wonderful with my son. The buffet breakfast is very good and most definitely affordable. The service staff are absolutely welcoming and very helpful and always a pleasure to speak with. Thanks again to all the amazing staff that make our stay at the Best Western Plus in Leamington a memorable one! We will definitely be back!

« Best Hotel in Leamington »

Truly the most comfortable hotel in the area, it has changed hands a few few times over the past 20 years, however, in my opinion, under the guidance of Best Western Plus, it has finally begun to take its rightful place, whether for business or for young families, this should be your first choice. In the Atrium area it can be noisy with the children playing. The remedy is simple request a room with a balcony facing the outer side of the property, yes you will be looking onto the parking lot however you will sleep like a baby without any disturbance. The staff are exceptional, all of them. Any problems they will take care of it. I have stayed in other hotels in Leamington and always returned to this location.

« Good place to stay »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The stuff for kids is great. I wish they had a free breakfast buffet, but that was my only real complaint. The beds were soft and the staff was friendly. We enjoy the close proximity to some stuff on lake Erie.

    « Awesome! »

Friendly staff who helped us with directions and planning our stay. Very clean. Family friendly. Nice pool with 2 pool slides. Central to all attractions. We will definitely stay here again! Food was delicious.

    « Vacation »

Stayed at this hotel for four nights. Rooms were very nice and clean. Comfortable beds! Good selection of rooms depending on your preference to stay atrium side or parking lot side. If you are traveling without kids parking lot side is highly recommended because it can get noisy on the atrium side with the play room. A few things to note during our stay. Both times at the pool there were no towels. And the ones they provide are quite small. Would recommend getting bigger towels. The pool is small and meant more for kids. Deepest is 5 feet so don't expect to do any laps. Both pool tables were out of order which was disappointing. No BBQ's on site but was told they are coming this summer. There were also no picnic tables to sit anywhere on the hotel grounds, which would have been nice. Overall experience was good. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

    « Perfect »

I was impressed as soon as I walked in the door. I was wowed with all this location had to offer. I loved the location being just outside of the town/city. The location of this place was very quiet and peaceful. The staff showed that they will make sure that you will be satisfied. I specified that I wanted a ground floor room with a doorway and window in front of where we would be parking our motorcycles. We got what we asked for. I was completely satisfied. If one of my friends tell me they are planning a trip to Leamington... I will insist they go to the Best Western.

« Returning with more of the family soon »

Travelled here with the family for a small vacation to visit Point Pelee NP. We really enjoyed the other entertainment options besides the pool at this hotel. The kids were excited to play in the atrium, and having a room right off of it was convienient for us parents. There was low attendance at the hotel while we were there, so it was not too noisy or disruptive come bed time. The pool could have been better, or at least we could have been given better notice. The slide was closed because school in Ontario was to get out the week after we visited. This was ok, because the kids still enjoyed the water. However, some work was performed on the pool with the slides and there were paint chips and other pieces of debris floating in the water. That part was not OK. We will return with more of the family with younger kids because the pros outweighted the cons.

    « OFSAA Soccer tournament »

Its not often that you come across a hotel that really cares about their guests. I can tell you the experience at this hotel was second to none and even after we left they continued to surprise. My son left his wallet behind with his drivers lic, money and ID and when we contacted them to locate the wallet they were able to find it and get back to me within minutes. However it did't stop there, Samuel the wonderful manager asked me where we were from in and it so happened that he was heading this way for a few days to meet family, well he offered to bring the wallet and drop it off for me. WOW! I can't tell you how amazed I was. He went out of his way to ensure I got it and it was not lost, and that I would'nt have to spend a dime on a courier. I can't tell you how great he was. I offered him a small token for his efforts and he refused to take it. I have travelled a lot and left a few things behind, which some how are never ever found even if I had called minutes after leaving, but they went the extra mile to help me. KUDOS to this hotel team, they truly care about their guests!

    « A great Reunion »

We attended my 51st Class Reunion Get together at the Leamington Best Western Plus hotel. It was a wonderful 3 days. the hotel is recently renovated and Great in all respects. We had a wonderful time.

« Looking forward to a return visit »

We were travelling through Leamington, after a visit to Windsor and a night on Pelee Island. We are so glad we stopped here as the hotel was clean and the room was large and comfortable. The staff here are outstanding! The restaurant was closed for a private function, but we were able to sit on our balcony and enjoy a meal that way. We don't have children and this is most definitely a family resort with lots of busy kids activities, but it was nice and quiet in our room and we were not disturbed in any way. We plan to come back in the fall for the bird migration, as was highly recommended by the front desk staff. Great stay!

    « Excellent accomodation »

This is a great Best Western with lots of leisure activity potential (which I did not avail myself with as I was busy doing other things). We did not avail ourselves of the breakfast However so we can't comment on it. The hotel is clean and well run.

    « 1 Night Getaway »

Excellent property , completely renovated . Wonderful spot for a family vacation with indoor playroom and pool. Loved having the Keurig coffeemaker in room as well as fridge and microwave. Very quiet & comfortable.

« excellent hospitality in comfortable and affordable hotel »

comfortable hotel room and overall accomdation very quiet location - very close to Point Pele peninsula nature reserve and also close to the city centre excellent hospitality and helpfulness of key staff personel

    « Near the park. »

Hotel met our expectations. Aim of trip was to see Pelee Island and Pelee National Park during bird migration season and this Best Western Plus was very convenient for that purpose. Room was clean, quiet and a good size but on our arrival, the sliding door to the outside did not lock. However, a call to front desk quickly had a service rep on scene to fix it. Property has good range of recreation facilities (pool, water slides, gym, arcade games, etc) making it attractive for young travelers but we have no first-hand experience. On-site dining facility served good food at a reasonable price, although the ambiance might be considered a bit bland. Location is away from the downtown area but conversely, this makes it quicker to access Pelee National Park (6-7 minutes). All-in-all, our stay was quite satisfactory. with the caveat that outside the birding season, the property would likely be better value-for-money.

    « Very Pleasant Stay »

We had a family time off to be together for 3 days and 2 nights.Kids had a wonderful time in the atrium and the pool. My husband had to work on his computer and we were amazed to find out we had such good internet connection which we missed during our previous visits.Food was another aspect which seemed to have changed .Generally we go outside but seeing the reviews we just gave it a try .Glad we tried it ,it was freshly prepared and nicely plated and well served yummy food.We all enjoyed our dinner .This place seems to have changed with more positive vibes. All employees seemed very helpful.

« Excellent stay and had wonderful time »

We stayed for 3nights with my friends, friendly staff, better wifi, good and tasty food, good restaurant service, the food is extremely good, the hotel is clean and quiet,OVER ALL MONEY WELL SPENT, will come back for sure

« Comfortable, fun family hotel »

We stayed there for two nights as part of a Lake Erie shore road trip. Our kids (ages 5 and 3) loved the play structure and the pool. We were disappointed to find out the water slides only operate on weekends, so we only got two chances to use them. This hotel would also benefit from a free continental breakfast. For anyone planning to visit Point Pelee National Park, as we were, the location is ideal. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and modern. A nice stay.

« Had amazing fun with kids »

Rooms were very clean ,comfortable beds ,food was okay but can work more ,front desk was very attentive and helpfull .we had a great family time in the pool and kids were having a blast in the slides. Point pelee was close by.

    « Excellent ambience »

I had been here before but it seemed to be a different hotel altogether .Everything seemed new ,well organised.Employees seemed very courteous and willing to help. The rooms seemed very clean ,front desk was very welcoming.

« Visit to Pelee Island- recommend this hotel »

Very nice facilities. Comfortable room. Attractive. Professional helpful staff. Excellent location. Close to Point Pelee Conservaton area and Pelee Island access. Watch your children closely in the common area. Pool area accessible to children due to entry door not being locked most of the time.

« Great for kids! Check waterslide's availability though! »

We had a great time staying here for 2 nights over the May 2-4 weekend. We booked the hotel especially for the pool, water slides and play place. Unfortunately, the hotel decided to operate the water slides on a Sunday schedule on the Monday stat holiday, so we only had 1 hour of water slide fun first thing in the morning, and they were turned off for the whole rest of the day. I guess we should have asked for the opening hours of the water slides when booking, but it unfortunately added a bummer to our family vacation. We could still swim though. And I was expecting a complimentary breakfast from a Best Western Plus hotel, and when I sat down in the lobby cafe and handed a menu with pricing similar to a nice restaurant, I was shocked and frankly uncomfortable. It was a surprise expense, but again - I guess it's on me to know if breakfast is included at all Best Western Plus locations or not. The staff were all great here though, and were very helpful and accommodating. And I loved having coffee in the lobby, although it could be fresher... Overall, we'll definitely stay there again if in the area. The kids LOVED the play place and water slides:)

« Fun for the kids »

Pros: Beds are comfortable Decor is updated Food is good Pool is clean and watersides are in great condition Water is kept at a comfortable temperature Indoor play area is large and well appointed Blackout blinds are great for the rooms facing the atrium Lots of free parking Close to the lake and other local attractions Cons: Housekeeping left wet towels in our room closet Puddles on the floor by the pool bathrooms from the night before Pool bathroom (women's) toilet not working Restaurant dinner service was painfully slow No in room safe Overall, a nice hotel, great for kids 10 and under.

    « Well-run and well-appointed hotel near Point Pelee »

Stayed at this place a couple of years ago and was less than impressed. I'm happy to say that their renovation, plus what looks like a significant change in management, has been a success. The rooms are well-appointed and the wifi is free and fast. This is a Best Western, not the Westin...but it's almost certainly the best hotel in the Leamington area, and is very close to Point Pelee National Park. For birders visiting Point Pelee during migration, there's no better choice.

    « Pelee Point »

Visited the provincial park of point pelee and stayed overnight at the Best Western. Must say it was a very modern hotel.. It has a waterslide open to the public as well. Great for families. Outside in their court yard they have a games area where we played batminton and had a ball! The front staff were very professional. The whole stay was great including our room.

    « Great for birders!! »

We visit Leamington most years in May to see migrating songbirds at Point Pelee National Park. The BW is by far the best hotel for this purpose. It's just down the road from the park (really surprising how much of a difference that makes, even compared to the Days Inn just the other side of downtown). The pool and other amenities are nice after a long day of walking/hiking. The restaurant opens at 5 in May and is full service, so you can have a hot breakfast and still be on the Tip by sunrise (and again, that extra fuel makes a surprising difference over a cold continental breakfast). The restaurant offers a fairly simple menu in the evenings, which isn't gourmet, but everything is decent and it's very nice to be able to eat there rather than go out after a long day. The staff were delightful and very helpful. And they do enforce the hours for the play area, so although the kids can get kinda loud during the day, sleeping isn't a problem. My only request would be a small safe in the room (we felt compelled to carry our passports and credit cards with us to the park every day because there wasn't a way to secure them). We'll definitely stay here for any future birding trips to Pelee!

« very comfortable, affordable, pleasant helpful staff »

Stayed during a birding trip to Point Pelee, very convenient location for birding, quiet, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, reasonable price, helpful pleasant staff. the large area for some games, pool and table tennis were enjoyed as well as comfortable couches for conversation. Would stay here again.

    « Nice empty hotel »

Nice hotel. It was very empty during our visit. Disappointed that after paying 190 per night. There was not continental breakfast offered. They did have the restaurant open early for birders. But not free unfortunately.

    « Much better »

Not sure how long ago Best Western took over this property but it's very apparent they sunk lots of money into it..nice clean updated rooms and a great entertainment area as well. A good spot for business or pleasure stops.

« What a Wonderful Hotel for Business and Pleasure! »

This is my second stay at this newly - at least new to me - renovated hotel in the Sun Parlor Area of Ontario! While both of my stays have been on business it is clear to see that this will become a popular destination for families during the March Break and in the Summer - lots to do and see in the are where the hotel is situated. Thanks to all of the staff for making me feel welcome and comfortable. See you again soon!

« Great spot for family fun »

We booked with a large group. The hotel had some confusion with assigning rooms together with the large group, but once it got sorted out we had a great time. The pool and play area are great to keep the kids busy while the parents can easily socialize while keeping an eye on the children. We had the Sunday morning buffet and it was typical Continental breakfast. I would go back again.

    « Beautiful »

This is one of the most attractive hotels I've stayed in; I felt refreshed just walking into the lobby. The rooms are all redecorated with the finest appointments: granite countertops, Grohe faucets and LED lighting. Really nice.

« Love to stay at the Best Western Leamington »

I prefer to book the best Western Hotel in Leamington because I am close to the Point Pelee National Park, Pelee Island Ferry, The hotel is in very quiet and safe location. Very friendly and helpful staff!!

« The remodel has made a world of differnce ! »

The last time I took my family there, was over 6 years ago and the place was run into the ground and looking rough. Best Western purchased it a few years back and poured millions of dollars into renovations, and it shows ! I highly recommend to stay there with your kids ! Lots for them to do and run around to have fun. They are still touching up a few things here and then, but overall, a world of difference. My only suggestion to make things better...I saw security walking around once in a while, maybe have them pick up any garbage or crap slobs leave around in halls and elevators...they are just walking around, why not pick stuff up ? I saw a few things that did not belong, be there at 7pm and still there in the morning.

« Family Fun and some birds »

if you have kids that love games and will spend the day in the pool, then this is the place for you. Enjoy and let your kids have fun while you sit in your room as a lot of rooms overlooks a central court area (basketball court, badminton air hockey table ping pong table ect) that has all this and more. If you are a couple and looking for quiet peace and tranquility then ask for an outside court room which we had and didn't hear a thing. Food was ok, I liked the local food options, that was a nice touch, but it was not fine dining by any means. But it is close to Pelee Island National Park (4min drive) and that is very convenient. The staff are friendly and if you are booking for the bird festival book at least a month before.

« A great hotel to take the kids »

If we were a young couple with kids, this would be an ideal place to bring the children because of the sports and activity centre situated at this hotel. The delightful sounds of children playing and yelling can be heard throughout the hotel. A great place for a young family. For seniors like my wife and I .... not so much. As it happened we were in the area to attend a funeral and had also rented a hotel room for our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, aged 15. They loved the place and will definately come back. We would most probably check into a quieter hotel in future but that's just us. I understand that after 11:00 p.m. the pool and sports activities are closed and we my wife and I were on the wing opposite the Atrium which did not present much of an issue as long as you don't mind little footsteps running up and down the halls first thing in the morning. This is not a complaint by any means...just an observation. If you want a very quiet place... this is not the place to come. One other observation about many Best Western Hotels in Canada that really irks me is the fact that breakfast is not included and why are Canadian hotels so much more expensive than their American counterparts? Thankfully I had built up a free night being a platinum member and had Reward certificates to offset the price of our kid's room. We will continue to look forward to staying in the Best Western chain of hotels in future. The staff at this hotel were most congenial and accommodating in our opinion.

« Great hotel for kids 12 and under »

This is a great hotel at a great price with lots to do with the kids. It's tucked away in Leamington but close to the water and can go for walks in the spring summer. Ferry boards close by as well. This was our second visit. Just make sure you confirm if the water slides are running during the week since our first stay they were closed and kids were upset. Lots of other stuff to do though so it was ok, just dispappointing

    « Dinner »

Was eating dinner with my friend and our young girls our waitress was friendly helpful....there was a few people at the bar, a girl sat down and started drinking and git a little loud, and talking about pupil hair. .. she was told by one of the waitresses that she was getting loud which I though was odd, but we found out after we were done eating that she was an employee of the restaurant. ..I mean the food and service was great.just thought it was a little unprofessional of her

    « Friendly & Comfortable »

Last minute trip planned for March break! Hotel was almost booked up but still made it! Dealing with Wendy over the phone and in person was great! Wendy was Incredibly friendly & helpfull! All the staff was very welcoming helpful and friendly to my whole family! My Wife and 2 Boys {2&4yrs} and I had a great time swimming and playing. There was plenty of activities available, arts n crafts, swimming, Play area, movie night and many other things. My Wife and I felt very safe letting our kids enjoy the play area while we relaxed and enjoyed coffees and watched the boys play!

    « It's OK. »

My family of 4 recently stayed there on Wednesday during the March break. We paid $170 for our room- even though most searches stated rooms could be found for $135/night. Given that it was March break we decided to give it a try anyways. This hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere and we were only going for the watersides and the indoor recreation area to give our kids a change of pace. Our kids had a great time, but I found it really strange and very deceiving that they charged an additional $9.99 for our family to use the watersides. Like really? That's the only reason we were there and there was no mention of the additional cost when we booked. It's not like you can say to a 3 year old and a 4 year old 'you can go swimming but not on the slides'. Ya- right... My whole point of this review is to suggest that the price of the watersides be included with the room so as not to deceive travellers. It is also the reason I gave it a 3 instead of a 5. Also- there seemed to be ongoing issues with the elevator and maintenance was constantly having to reset it. Rooms were very nice, updated

« March Break Fun Trip »

Traveled with daughter and 14 & 17 yr. old granddaughters. - This is the 3rd time we have been to this hotel. First time since it has been renovated. - Re-model is beautiful. Rooms very comfortable & clean. - Did miss the hot-tub and sauna. Also 3rd salt water pool has been replaced by a very large jungle gym. The arcade has been replaced by a basket-ball court. Pool table and ping pong tables are still there. - Had dinner there only one night and was disappointed. Portions small - if a man had ordered what we had they would have left hungry. Nacho Platter was not large enough to share. Hamburger very small. Caesar salad was not very good. - Breakfast, on the other hand was very generous and very good. - Staff very accommodating and pleasant. - All in all - now that the girls are older would go somewhere else. This is an excellent facility for a young family. - There are many things to do in Leamington & Kingsville. Lots of excellent wineries in area. - WiFi was free but not very good. Don't know if this was because we were so close to Lake Erie.

    « Employees need Training »

First off, we enjoyed our stay and our kids had a good time. My problem was with nearly every single employee we encountered. Upon check in, it was clear the front desk was busy and the employees were overwhelmed, however I felt like I was a bother and questions that I had were not properly answered. I felt rushed to get my keys and leave the front desk. The next problem I had was with the teenagers working the pool area. I don't think it would have killed them to make maybe just the teeniest bit of effort with the kids on the water slides. Numerous times I noticed kids giving the water slide attendants a smile or a "hi" and the employees just glared back at them. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that the water slides closed down between 10-2 each day - especially since I called the hotel TWICE before coming to ensure the water slides were open during march break. Not once did either employee I spoke with tell me the water slides would be closed for 4 hours a day. I went to the front desk to ask about the water slides, the employee working the counter spoke to me like an answering machine recording, she just repeated herself over and and over about their water slide hours. I told her I was able to comprehend what she was saying, she wasn't listening to me about how I was disappointed nobody told me the water slides closed for 4 hours a day. Imagine my disappointment when the water slides closed 10 minutes early that night, when kids were lined up to go down. Upon investigation, the employees were having a dance party in their back room and told me they needed to clean things up before they left. Nothing was cleaned up, they talked with each other until 10pm, then rushed out. As well, the pool area is done in stamped concrete, it's incredibly slippery. I noticed many kids slip while walking (not running!). As well that day, our key card stopped working. My husband brought it to the front desk, the gentleman working the counter insisted it was our fault it stopped working, we must have put it too close to something magnetic. We assured him that was not the case, he insisted it was something we did. By the time he was done getting us new key cards, there were 5 people in line behind us, their key cards also stopped working. Apparently our rushed check in person made a mistake with our key card, but we were blamed for it not working. No apology was made for our inconvenience. The only friendly employees I saw in the hotel were the house keepers. Like I said, my kids had a good time but I as a parent was completely disappointed in the service we received.

    « Great place! »

I took my kids for a couple days over March Break with my Mom and what a fantastic place! We were originally given a room on the 3rd floor which didn't have an elevator but unfortunately the hotel was at capacity and they couldn't change our room the first night. Tuesday morning I called down to the front desk and dealt with Jocelyn. I explained my situation (Mom has bad knees and son has autism), told her we would be out during the day but would come by the front desk before going back to our room and when I did they had a new room for us and it was on the first floor with patio doors opening to the parking lot. It was perfect for us and I was super impressed that even with being full they were able and WILLING to relocate us. My son had a blast at the pool and my daughter and her friend were able to go off and do activities on their own too... the hotel had the afternoon and evening planned out with arts and crafts, scavenger hunt and movies everyday. Thank you to the team who were working the water slides and allowed my son to enjoy his vacation with using the water slides! Super impressed and can't wait to go back!!

« Liked it better than Great Wolf! »

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay this March Break. I was skeptical that the hotel photos of the indoor play space/atrium were misleading, but it was awesome. My children are 9 and 3 and both had lots to do within steps of our hotel room. Even though it was March Break we did not find it too chaotic. We loved the variety of choices within the same space. The convenience of being able to do some adult lounging and visiting on modern sitting areas, while having so much to keep kids happy within earshot, made this an excellent time for everyone. If you are like me, 3 hours at a time in a water park (like at Great wolf lodge) can be too much of one thing. This set up made for lots of options for gross motor play inside; not just the pool/water-slides. The water slides were also great with a large wide slide that is gentle for a preschooler and a fun "zippy winder" for an older kid. There were adult/older child indoor sports options all in the same space, (basketball, badminton, pool tables and Ping-Pong) ---right alongside the kids. Video games in the same space were also a hit. It really is big, fun and well maintained. The climbers were big enough for a 10 year old to run around in, but easy enough for a toddler as well. I was worried that the noise would be too disruptive if we needed some quiet time, but the rooms were very well sound-proofed and this was not an issue. Lights go out at 11pm in the atrium, and this worked well to maintain peace at night. We were on the second floor and did not find it loud. I do recommend bringing some folding chairs to sit outside the balcony as it makes the adult minding a napping toddler feel like they are still part of the fun and not shut in the room. A special shout-out to Wendy at the front desk who worked her magic to help us vacation in a room beside family who were also staying. All of the staff went out of their way to be really friendly and helpful. I read that others didnt love the restaurant, but we thought the 10 dollar price for the buffet was well worth it, and our 3 year old was free. My only criticisms would be the room temp wouldn't come down past 71 degrees which made nighttime a little warm. We asked for someone to come take a look but no service person made it to our room. As others have mentioned, the pool area is freezing when you are not in the water so bring lounge pants and hoodies to the pool. Other than those small issues we had a fantastic time and will definitely make it back there again.

    « Freezing cold »

The rooms are nice and clean. Amenities are nice for ages 4 to 12 yrs. But the pool area is freezing cold and the play area. Bring your parka if you want to sit and watch your kids play or swim. One of the life guards said it is always freezing in the pool area and play area.

    « Kids had a blast! »

The room was great! Love the community and it wasn't far from shopping... Will definitely stay again! The kids totally loved the atrium! And there was alot of room for them to play! This will be somewhere we go to again in the near future!

    « Poor Maintenance »

Was disappointed as this is not a Plus Hotel. Lobby appearance is nice; however there were some maintenance issues. Back door to stairwell would not close properly, lock was missing. My room 323, the deadbolt did not work and the door latch was loose and could have been pulled out easily if someone wanted to. Thankfully the night time security guard (Jerry or Jeff) was kind enough to go to his truck and get his own drill to put in longer screws for me so that I felt a little safer. (Thank you!). I have to say I didn't feel 100% safe though. Maintenance was suppose to come the next day to try to fix deadbolt, but to my knowledge no one did. Staff did not check in with me to see if things were ok. They did offer me another room at 1030pm which was another floor, and with there being no elevators I didn't feel like packing our stuff up and switching floors/rooms. The recreation area was great for the kids. If things were fixed and staff more attentive this would be a good hotel.

« Ignorant Staff and Very Noisy »

All I have to say is stay away from this property - the front desk staff are ignorant and have a unprofessional attitude, in fact, I do not know why they are working in customer service. The food at the restaurant (no complimentary breakfast) was raw and over priced. I got charged $4 for a cup of tea. I found garbage behind the night table and I could write my name in the dust covering the sofa and keurig machine. When I brought my concerns forth, the staff were bothered by this and did nothing to offer assistance. There is an atrium with items for child in the middle of the hotel and as per their policies, the atrium was to close at 10pm, but when I arrived at 1130pm I could hear children screaming and carrying on. The staff did nothing to fix this.

« Family fun for everyone »

the kids had a great time, beds were comfortable, room clean, everything in working order. Pool area is great and play area too. We stayed with a group of friends for two nights and we all had a great time. We will be back again for sure.

    « I starts »

with the check in! Friendly and helpful front end staff. These people really care about your visit! The rooms are spotless and very well appointed with all amenities we needed. Our rooms were ground floor...the grankids walked out sliding doors directly into a large play was fantastic for the little ones! The adults can enjoy their own beverages in the atrium area...while still keeping an eye on the worries about the access to the pool and water is controlled. The restaurant is not overly busy as I believe many of the patrons are there for their children...we found the food to be OK...service a bit slow....but there was a steady stream of pizza deliveries....... make no mistake...this is a destination for families....and filled our bill. We enjoyed every minute of our stay...and certainly will return .there will always be negative comments is noisy...but at 11 pm the atrium is cleared...and it is quiet!

« Fun place for young family getaway »

The hotel is newly renovated, making for an overall excellent stay. The atrium is perfect for mom & dad and friends to enjoy some beverages while the kids go nuts in a safe environment. The rooms face the atrium with balconies and there are comfy areas to sit within the play area. We stayed 3 nights and had a blast. There is a pool with slides, an arcade (a tad pricey at $2 a game), air hockey, basketball, pool tables, a climber & badminton court. The atrium is a good set-up, to keep the kids busy & safe and is easy for parents to supervise their kids. The only thing we found is the noise from the atrium gets to be tiresome (we were there for Family Day weekend ? so it was pretty busy). There is a curfew for the play area (8am ? 11pm) but it seems to only be loosely enforced. Since the rooms face the atrium, the noise is very noticeable. Some parents we letting their very young children enter the atrium to play unsupervised at 7am (somewhat irresponsible and inconsiderate to other guests). The basketball court is limited to the hours of 9am ? 9pm but this was never enforced by staff (it may not seem like a big deal but the pounding of the ball outside our room was extremely loud and got to be a huge annoyance). Aside from the noise, we enjoyed ourselves. We spent a day at Point Peele, a must see if you have never been. Close to the hotel is an LCBO, Timmy's (the two essentials) and plenty of restaurants. We highly recommend Ray's Ribhouse at 17 Robson Rd. in Leamington (a small place in a converted service garage, close to the hotel? the ribs were fantastic!). A great getaway and a great location!

    « weekend getaway »

an excellent get away with children, clean, plenty for everyone to do. pool is warm and salt water so no burning eyes. beds are very comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful and professional. a little difficult to find but well worth the trip.

« Good but very disappointed »

We stayed at this hotel for the long weekend family day holiday from feb 13-15. we booked family suite. First of all I request the general manager of this hotel that they need to fix the website when people are booking the suites as i had lots of trouble when I was booking the suite online. I called the hotel then a gentle man helped me through booking the room on the phone. After sometime I got a call from the hotel saying that two reservations made for this room and They can offer me for two rooms, first of all that is not professional after booking the suite you call and say two reservations made to the same suite. I declined the offer and the lady on the phone seemed that she is ordering that if other reservation wanted this suite so you have to get other rooms. First of all "you do not talk to your guest like that. Second you as a representative of the hotel has to be more helpful on what you can do, not ordering your guest on what they should do." We are family of 7 people with seniors and kids included I don't think I would want to have separate rooms. Anyway after reaching at the hotel, I got checked in to the family suite which I got happy but after sometime my old parents who are in their 80's were feeling cold in the suite. I tried to get the heater on and it was not on. Waited for 1 hour but no sign of heating working. Called front desk and someone showed up to see the heater system - that person said that heating system in the suite is not working properly since it is an old property. I'm like "Are you kidding me, I'm paying for the freaking $215 a night for the suite and your telling me heating system is not working in the -15 outside temperature?" Very very disappointed and upset. The person provided us 1 very small heater. "It's a family suite of 7 people staying and your giving me a one small heater? which is good enough for one person" The hotel and the managers in the hotel should know if they're property is not working well then they need to have alternatives like big heater specially for the family suite that has 1 king bed room and 1 double bed room and little living room so the whole suite gets warm. That person realized that the heater is not enough so she got us few extra blankets, which we adjusted that night. Next day when the cleaning lady came to clean, knowing we are not checking out since we had our all stuff all over the place. They took all the extra blankets. Again left us freeze in the cold room. This time I did go to front desk telling them what we are going through. My parents are in 80's and can not stand too much cold, kids in the room are younger than 8 years, after coming from pool they want to be warm. The front desk telling me that no other family suite is available at the hotel. "I was surprised by listening to what the lady is telling me." 1 family suite in the whole hotel and the heating system not working. In it. You must be joking with me." Again had to call for extra blankets. Going through so much was not worth of paying $215 a night at the check out, one blond lady by the name of jessi waived the room fee from 215 to 185 for one night, the other night was 185 at the time when I booked o the phone. So basically for the 2 nights of staying in the cold room I'm getting a discount of $30 off? That lady telling me I got saved over $100 which I did not understand her calculation. I'm sure my math is not that bad but wasn't sure about her math. I had one night of $215 and other night $185. Waving a first night from $215 to $185 is a $30 difference. This lady also waves a two day water slides fee which was $20, ok I got it $50 in total and let's add the 2 nights of resort fee of $14 for 2 nights ok So it's $64. But where is the saving over $100 that the lady was telling me that she waived due to heating problem. A nice big heater comes for $200. And I stayed in a room that has no heating and got waived for $64. It's very disappointing. These people when they knew that their room has issues with heating then they should have found out alternative ways of having enough heater in the suites. Beside all these issues that I dealt with on spooling my family day over heating system, the Internet connection is very very slow, a useless of having internet. On top of that the play ground and pool with slides look fantastic but hey it's not free. You need to pay $10 a night for the slides at the pool and $5 for each game your playing in the atrium. On top of that they are charging you $7 for resort fee per night. I just don't understand that if we as a guest are paying resort fee each night then why are they charging for slides in the pool and other games, isn't it suppose to be free since it is a resort made for family? And of course not mentioning the noise at the atrium goes until 11:30 or 12 midnight. There is a rule that 11pm all the noise should be shut off but it goes on until late at night and no responsible employee is available to shut off the noise at 11pm. So really having a disaster family holiday at this hotel, I try to be nice enough to give them three stars since I was ok with the cleaning of the room and the kids enjoyed in the pool.

    « Good quiet accommodation »

I stayed there on February 10th. It was my third time in the past year and I wasn't disappointed. The room and hotel were clean and the WiFi signal was strong. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable too. All in all, a good experience.

    « Ok »

Just tried staying one night but had to leave due to it being too noisy. Our 3 year old May have been a bit too young for the courtyard room as he goes to bed around 8. I'd recommend a quieter room if staying with children who have an earlier bed time. Pool was decent, but hotel was very busy and there was no spots to sit. Ample deck space but not enough chairs/ loungers. Play area was good. All in all kids had fun until it was time to settle down. Wifi was very slow and pretty much useless-- but again it was full so probably bogged down.

    « Family Weekend »

It is our fourth time staying here and I would say the renovations are a major improvement and we truly enjoyed our stay. We were quite comfortable in our room, the new mattresses, bedding and room décor look great. A few suggestion. Rooms need new telephone as well, a lot of static when calling room to room was. Name tags on employees would help. Upon our arrival a very sweet petite blonde welcomed us and shared she was looking forward to our feedback. There were cookies at the front desk which impressed my grandchildren. Thank-you, first impressions mean a lot. I booked 3 rooms online last August. None of rooms where beside one another which I understood as special preferences can not always be accommodated especially when full capacity. As well I booked balcony rooms inwards facing the atrium for the grand-children. Well we all had balconies facing the parking lot. When I went back to the desk the sweet blonde was gone and another woman with a deep voice said she could not do anything because the place was full and when I booked online I should of requested rooms with a special code. My son asked her if she could even switch one room that would be great. She said she would try. Well we never heard another word. Several people came and went the first night and their where lots of empty rooms. My heart went out to the young waitresses in the lobby café Saturday morning. Only one cook and the average table waited 50 to 1 hr and 10 min for breakfast. Children were crying and the young gals were waiting on tables and running food up to rooms. There are no emergencies lights in the stairwell should the hydro go off. Not good. So glad when the fire alarms went off in the building it was during the day All in all it is truly great and we would come again. From housekeeping to front desk employees to the young gals working in the restaurant. People are wonderful. My only advice change your online website for when requesting rooms with a patio. So glad the sweet blonde gal was working Sunday when we left. I think she would of at least tried :)

« Great fun for kids! »

We stayed in the family suite and had a great time! The suite had a lounge area, a room with a king bed, a room with 2 queen beds, refrigerator and microwave. Each room has a large flat screen TV. Very clean and well appointed! The kids were exhausted from all of the activities. It's a great place for families! We will definitely be back.

« Getting better step by step... But room for improvement. »

We've stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years and have seen it throughout their extensive renovation process. We usually visit about once a year as it's always very enjoyable for our young children, and it's very reasonably priced. The renovations are finally complete and for the most part they've done a great job. The facilities are modern, clean, and tasteful. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed for our family. Including Coffee maker, Refrigerator and Microwave. As far as they have come to make this place better they still fall short in a couple areas. Here are a few annoyances we experienced during our last stay: Closet door fell off hinges, and wasn't fixed very well by maintenance staff. Shower did not work. Literally dribbled out of head and maintenance staff was unable to fix it. No ATM machine, or cash available from front desk. They also had no change to break larger bills. For a place that hosts pay per use games, access to cash might be a great idea!?! Closed water park down during the day. This was a surprise and I definitely would not book a multi night stay knowing they shut things down at 10:00 am. Maybe they shut down because they had no pool towels left? Can't be certain. Finally, the one thing I could never wrap my head around is the removal of the stairs that connected the 2nd floor balcony to the main floor. They used to have them, but removed them in the renovations. There is plenty of room for them, I just can't see the logic. Having these stairs back would make staying on an upper floor much more convenient, as you could have direct access to room after leaving pools, and play area without using the one elevator, or very cold stairwells. Just seems like an obvious design screw up that should be fixed. On the bright side, the staff is very friendly and they still maintain a very easy going and accommodating atmosphere. It's an extremely easy place to go and have a quick family getaway with other families. I would say children 9 years old and under would get the most fun out of amenities. And water park is friendly to even young toddlers. Your getting there Best Western. Step by step.

    « Good but a few suggestions »

Stayed in the late summer with our two teens and our 6 year old. The rooms/activity area have been updated with interior pools filled in (huge improvement as the rooms no longer smell of chlorine). Were surprised to find that use of the water slide was extra for those who were booked into the hotel and that there was no breakfast included. We also had fish and chips in the restaurant one night but were warned that since there was an event service would be slow. The food was good but if Best Western is hoping to attract people to its restaurant maybe they should staff according to need - the employees seemed run off their feet.

    « 2nd Family Visit »

Second time going. Invited friends to come along. All the kids had fun (2, 3, 4 & 5yrs). Stayed 1 night over xmas break. Not horribly busy, yet still reasonably priced for a holiday. Renos are done. The rooms are nicely updated, nice beds. Atruim and lobby bathrooms were a little dirty, but i can look past this as it was busy. They allow you to bring food in to eat and adults can enjoy a beverage while watching kids play in atrium. Will stay here again.

« Kids Really Enjoyed It! »

We have stayed here in the past and will stay again but only because of the kids. The hotel was renovated and shows modern with a well appointed room including fridge and microwave. They have a great indoor pool with slides and a huge games area perfect for the kids to entertain each other. For families great. For a regular traveler you will find that it is very noisy intact I came prepared with ear plugs to ensure a good night sleep. The bar was closed before 9 pm so we could not get a drink. In the morning we headed down to the buffet. It was cold and not enough food to feed our family of 5. I told the waitstaff that the buffet was empty and the burners were not lit. We sat there and ate toast waiting for them to light the burners and restock but after 15 minutes we decided to eat on the highway.

« Fun atmosphere, tasteful modern renovations »

We visited with 3 other families for a teen birthday celebration and had a blast. Loved how every room had a back door leading to shared balcony overlooking activity area which turned into group party area. Our group brought our own folding table and camping chairs and turned the balcony into our dinner and party zone. Had a lot of fun using the activity area particularly the badminton which led to some competitive games with parents and kids all joining in. The significant money they've spent on renovations was a great investment. It is tastefully decorated in a modern style and the rooms were comfortable. Had a great nights sleep in the comfy and clean beds. I would thoroughly recommend this place as a destination for a fun family and group getaway at an affordable price.

    « Great hotel! »

We stayed two nights with another family in one of the large suites and we all had a fantastic time. There is lots to do for young kids 4-5 and the older ones 8+. Pool was fantastic for kids, very warm and shallow enough at bottom of slides for our 4 year olds to stand up when they came down. Staff very friendly, was a great stay. Would love to go again!

« Fun place for the kids »

We picked this hotel because of the swimming pool/water slide combination. Our ten year old and 2 year old loved the pool area and the water was nice and warm which allowed for a full day of swimming. The hotel is clean and nicely updgraded.

« Best Western Plus Leamington ON »

Great pool with waterslide and fun indoor play area for children. Lots of little ones. I was disappointed there was no breakfast included in the stay. It would have been nicer to have breakfast included.

« Awesome hotel great for kids »

We were lucky to have stayed after the renovations were complete it is much more convient to have a room which opens to the atrium which includes the small water park large jungle gym and badminton court pool tables rooms were clean . Breakfast was extremely slow but it was a great stay overall would return nice rooms also

    « Pleasant Stay...Extensive Renovations »

Best Western has done a lot of work in renovating this property. We haven't stayed here in a few years but were nicely surprised to enjoy all the refurbishments. The rooms are well appointed, the heating unit isn't noisy, the bathroom fan is quiet. The pool and games area is a great spot to hang out as a family and spend many hours enjoying the variety of activities or watching a game on the big screen.

    « Perfect Family Getaway »

This was the perfect place for 3 families to get away for a night. The hotel is clean and newly renovated and provides tons of activities for kids of all ages. Our teenagers stayed busy all night long!

« Place to stay in Leamington »

I did choose this place to stay on a business trip. The "Best Western" is the former "Pelee Motor Inn", now completely renovated. Renovation finalized in July 2015, they are still working some flaws. Renovation is nicely done, comfortable modern clean rooms. Friendly Staff and service. The Hotel does have a Pool and a Waterpark, popular during the summer. I did avoid the onsite restaurant, it is good and easy for breakfast, be patient... For dinner the menu is very limited, waiting time is long, The restaurant service does need some improvement. Location is n the middle of no where, it takes 5 minutes to drive in to town to find other places to eat. Just a good place to spend the night if you are staying in Leamington

    « Horrible service »

Not what we expected for a Best Western. Our TV wouldn't turn on, it was reported twice and no one did anything about it. Our little guy was trying to nap, we had the do not disturb sign up and the second lock on, house keeping still barged in, threw on the lights and tarted cleaning. When they were told our son was napping, they said they had to clean and wouldn't be long. The play ground is fun for the kids, and you can expect it to be messy with kids and parties and such, but when they opened in the morning, nothing had been cleaned. Food and garbage all over the place, disgusting. The restaurant doesn't open till 5 pm, which doesn't make sense. We asked for an adjustment on our bill due to the TV not working, we didn't get it because we booked online. I emailed the hotel manager, and didn't hear back. We won't return.

« A Place for Family with Kids and 4-legged Friend »

By far, we were pleased with Best Western when it comes to having a pet when we travel especially this location. Having an indoor pool is a plus but to allow us to bring our small dog in the pool area as long as it's on the leash and stayed on the lounge chair was very much appreciated as pet owners. With this, we were able to enjoy the pool without having to worry about leaving a barking dog in the room which we never do. We don't have kids but to have the other amenities there for the whole family to enjoy is wonderful. We saw small kids enjoying the climbing area. It may not be ideal to be occupying the rooms facing the indoor play area for adults who go to bed early but totally, for family. It's a good location to stay when you visit Point Pelee National Park! Christine Melnyk, Director of Operations was there and was very helpful when we asked her for some questions. Internet was slow in our room considering it's on the main floor. We had to go to the play area for strong signal. We didn't get a chance to taste their cooking but it would be great to have a buffet breakfast included. As travellers, having not to worry about breakfast during our stay makes our lives easier. We can be on the go right after. Other than that, we will recommend this place to travellers especially with kids and pets!

« Horrible food and service. »

The hotel rooms were clean but really shoddy workmanship on the renovations. Hallways were filthy. DO NOT eat at the restaurant!!! Very expensive, limited menu, the slowest service I have ever had and the food was burnt!! We ordered 8 meals from there and they were all terrible! The celery was soft and mushy, the carrots were dried out, burgers were burnt black and the perch was burnt in old oil. The poor man at the table near ours waited almost an hour for his meal and when they finally brought it out the chicken was raw! The activity area is great for the kids but that is all this hotel has to offfer. Very disappointing.

« Great place to stay for families and friends »

During our exploration of Wine Country along Lake Erie North Shore we needed a base of operation. We chose the Best Western based on the amenities and the price. We arrived late afternoon on Halloween. Check in was a breeze. The hotel was fairly empty it being Halloween, so we got upgraded on check in . Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. We were lucky to be placed on the atrium side on the ground floor. The courtyard has pool table, ping pong, badminton and a soft play area for kids... Not that we chose to do any of those things although we did sit in the courtyard and enjoy the atmosphere. We loved the refreshing fruited water in the lobby and enjoyed staying here for our two nights while we explored wine country. We are looking at coming back next year with a group and will choose this hotel based on our great experience this weekend.

    « Fun place! »

What a fun hotel! Very close to beautiful Point Pelee, this hotel is clean, comfortable, and friendly. The atrium area is great for families (my teens loved it), including pool tables, ping pong, badminton, indoor playground, small arcade, and even a basketball court all inside. Pool features a very fun waterslide. The atrium includes plenty of seating, making it a nice place for younger parents to drink a beer while kids play and amuse themselves.

    « Thoroughly enjoyed 2 night stay »

I am tempted to give 1 star rating just because I don't want the place t become extremely popular and demand go up. Kids and adults equally enjoyed the indoor atrium and pool area. The rooms were as they were expected. Staff was nice. Overall good place for a gate-away.

« For peace don't be on the Atrium »

The Atrium space can be a lot of fun for all sorts of people, but it is VERY loud and the noise travels very easily into the rooms connected to it. However, if you stay in a room with an outside window/balcony, it really is a very pleasant place to stay. My understanding is that you need to request a King sized bed with a pullout to be away from the Atrium; even then make sure you state in the note that you don't want the Atrium if you would like to have quiet nights.

    « Nice Room »

Our room at Best Western Leamington was newly renovated and very nice. Neat, tidy and clean. If you want a quiet stay , make sure you request a room facing the outside......the inner rooms face the play area, and that seemed to be very noisy echoing through the hallways......however, the room was nice and quiet !! Disappointed the stay didn't include breakfast and the breakfast looked very poor for the price they were charging !! It would be a great place to stay with a family .........large play area and pool etc. However, when not using those facilities and having to pay a "resort tax" was another disappointement.

    « Great Family Hotel »

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Enjoyed all the great ammenities it has to offer especially for families. Badminton court, indoor heated pool with water slides, play equipment etc. we had a blast in the pool both nights and had a lovely updated room that accommodated our family of 5. it was close to point peel conservation and we had a great time at the hotel.

« Very nice and clean! »

Clean and nice hotel for relax in Point Pelee National Park area. Good for family and kids. Close to park and lots of fun in hotel, include swimming pool and kids play ground, ping pang table, pool table and more.

« have a good time, be prepared to pay for add on »

We enjoyed our stay, great clean rooms, great service. We came to get away for the day and enjoy the pool. I had stayed here before when it was the Days Inn. I was very surprised to learn that you had to now pay an additional fee to use the pool. I feel that I should of been made aware of this sooner, I would of considered going some where else. One suggestion I would like to see the jungle gym area only have one way in and out for the children, this was a concern of several parents Thanks

    « Don't Get a Room Near the Atrium! »

As I sit here in my hotel room, trying to work, I am listening to the sound of many shrieking children at a birthday party down below (why, oh why, must they shriek to have fun?!). This is the second birthday party in the last 24 hours -- I suspect this is the spot for parties in Leamington. The facilities for kids or sports teams are wonderful, but if you are here for any other reason, choose a room away from the atrium, or stay somewhere else. The room was otherwise reasonably clean and comfortable. The room was quiet for sleeping at night (just don't expect to be able to nap here -- see above). I was surprised that there were no glasses in the room, and I couldn't bear to sacrifice a coffee cup for my son to use to brush his teeth so he made do without. :-) TV seemed to have issues -- it often seized up and showed a pixilated screen which was frustrating. Wifi was generally adequate -- a few times I couldn't refresh a page very quickly, but it was workable. No included breakfast. I come to Point Pelee fairly often, but if I'm planning to have a work day here, I will probably stay elsewhere.

We had our engagement party in the Monarch Room of the Best Western Plus and in the weeks leading up to the party, the staff were very very helpful and accommodating. The chef, Mike, met with us and had us taste the meal and was very open to suggestions (although he didn't need any, the food was very delicious and very well prepared). The manager, Charlene, was especially helpful in the bookings and correspondence. Kim supervised the set-up and the tear-down on the night of and was very helpful. All in all, a great experience with the staff, food, and the property is very beautiful. Thank you all! It was a great place to have our party-- I wouldn't recommend anywhere else other than Best Westen in Leamington.

« extremely, loud and noisy »

Adults without children please note: Until 11:00pm you listen to the sound of very, very loud children playing right outside your room, in the atrium also there is a basketball court right outside your patio door so you get to listen to the sound of the basketball bouncing on the ground all night until 11:00 pm If you are seeking peace and quiet without children this is NOT the place for you. .
