« BW at Cedar Bluff »

We often stay at this hotel as we have family in Knoxville. As usual our stay was great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is close to the interstate (but quiet). There are restaurants nearby.

« Hidden Gem in Knoxville, Tennessee »

I have stayed in many hotels for business/leisure and I must say this hotel is hands down a wonderful place to stay. It is very evident that this hotel is maintained in a way that all hotels should be. There is a warm feeling that this place exudes and the staff here really go above and beyond. I am a stickler for cleanliness and this place met my expectation. Hats off to the manager Tyler that I had the pleasure of meeting! I will stay here anytime that I am in the Knoxville area.

« Beware of Game Day Shuttle »

Hotel is nice with clean rooms and ok breakfast. We came to town for UTK family weekend. The hotel offered a game day shuttle for $10 per person scheduled to depart at 9:00. The old school bus finally showed up at 9:20 and made 5 additional stops (not disclosed by the hotel). We had hoped to get to campus for Vol Walk but obviously did not. I recommend taking Uber as it is quicker, cheaper, and doesn't stop to pick up more passengers.

« My #1 choice for hotel in Knoxville area! »

I have stayed at many places in the Knoxville area. This one is the best! I have always been treated very well no matter what happens during my stay. Mrs. Wanda, the Breakfast Hostess, is the nicest lady I have ever meet when it comes to making you feel welcome and at home. She is always there helping serve breakfast, so she remembers you by name if you stay there long enough. Very impressive! Mrs. Christine, the Front Desk Manager, was a huge help as well. She is a very nice lady. Overall best hotel experience in the Knoxville area because not only are the workers very nice but the beds are also very comfortable.

    « A very comfortable place »

When our group arrived, the desk clerk was happy to see us. How nice is that. Our rooms, our keys, cookies and coffee were waiting. We were comfortable in no time! A quick look at the room, huge, spotless, and with the most modern bathroom, and then back to the lobby for coffee and the paper. I walked down the hall to the pool and with my coffee and paper, it was very relaxing. For dinner, there are quite a few choices of restaurants within walking distance and a strip mall across the street. The following morning, thanks to Wanda, the breakfast room was well stocked. They had eggs, bacon, and numerous other items, all fresh and plentiful. After making my choice for breakfast, I enjoyed a coffee outside on the most comfortable bench. Pool didn't open until 10. Well, we had to be" on the road again ". With nice memories, a perfect way to start the day.

    « Nicely Renovated Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel for a night while traveling. It was clean, nicely furnished and reasonably priced. Our room was a little too close to the freeway so it was a bit noisy but we were really tired so it didn't keep us awake. I would ask for a room away from the freeway. They have an outdoor pool and free wi-fi. We did not eat the free breakfast but the coffee was good.

    « Great stay! »

We stayed 08/27-8/28 at Best Western Plus. Awesome experience from the moment we arrived. Greeted by a friendly face. Warm, inviting environment that is tastefully decorated. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we could tell someone took pride in cleaning this room. Smelled fresh and everything was spotless! They took care all requests...coffee, forgotten toothbrush. Even offered discount coupons for restaurants! Delicious breakfast buffet was included with our stay. Lot of variety. Wanda, the breakfast hostess did an amazing job of keeping everything filled and well presented. You can tell she likes to serve people. What an amazing experience we had staying at the BWPlus! We will be back.

    « Consistently consistent »

Great value for business travel. Clean, comfortable, good hot breakfast, solid Wi-Fi. They also provide complimentary copies of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today for guests. Small but adequate gym with a treadmill and weight machine. Never disappointed there.

    « pleasant stay »

We went to Knoxville on a overnight trip to see family and do a little Geocaching. Found this hotel on line , liked what we saw and booked online with no effort . The hotel is very convenient to shopping and restaurants on the westside of Knoxville. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, internet was acceptable. The complimentary breakfast was a step up from the usual with eggs and sausage on the bar. The young man working it kept it clean and stocked. The are could be a little larger. Overall it was a good stay and we will stay there again.

« Friendly Service and staff »

The stay in the Best Western was better than I have expected. I drove my family to the Smoky Mountain National Park and we were just passing through this town. We stayed there only for a night and in the morning while having the hotel complimentary breakfast, we met Wanda the breakfast hostess. She took great cared of us and the breakfast was simple but delicious. For the budget or business trips I highly recommend this place.

    « It's Great! »

We stayed here on our way home from Florida after traveling 10 hours. Jim at the front desk was efficient and helpful. He even gave us a coupon for a nearby restaurant, Parkside Grill. The room was clean and newly renovated. Breakfast was nice. They have the coffee station away from the food area which is very good for traffic flow. Wanda, the breakfast hostess kept everything clean and well stocked. We will stay here again.

    « maybe an isolated situation..not sure »

We arrived in the middle of a horrendous rain storm and it was a mess... the air condition in the room was not functioning, there was a frog in the room and they had a some what non-caring desk staff. The cleaning lady was extremely friendly though. JS

« Great place for the price »

Small, Nice and clean! I always stay here when in Knoxville. Several nice eating places close to Best Western. Only short distance from Neyland Stadium. I have stayed here several times and had each time they have been wonderful.

    « first timer »

Was pleasantly surprised with the stay. Clean & exceptionally friendly staff. I stay 150 nights out per yr. and this hotel was comparable to any other chain that I use frequently. Breakfast was prepared fresh, coffee was stocked and hot for a morning treat. Wanda especially, and the entire staff were professional and efficient.

« Excellence and Friendliness all in one place »

This is one very nice hotel, located in a great location that is located not very far from the highway. The information given at a late arrival was very well appreciated. In the morning we had the continental breakfast and it was very good. When we checked out, I was given two goodie bags that had a bottle of water, fruit and a granola bar. I thought that this was very nice of the front desk to have for its guests. If I am ever in the area again, this will be the hotel of choice as it treats its guests like they are at home.

    « Knoxville Friendliness »

Best Western Plus is a great value for a family vacation when you want to be comfortable but are budget conscious. The rooms are big and clean, the breakfast ready when you are with variety that should start everyone's day off just right. The staff here in Knoxville aren't just pleasant, they are friendly and helpful. They focus on service. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access in and out to major highways and local shopping. Excellent value.

« Nice for an overnight stay. »

We stayed here overnight on our way through town. It is the nicest Best Western I've seen in a while. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large enough to fit an army cot in for our 3rd child. The breakfast was above average for typical hotel free breakfasts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

« Great hotel stay experience! »

I travel on a regular basis and stay at a lot of hotels, but most pale in comparison to my recent hotel stay experience at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn. I needed a room for one night and possibly a second night depending on the outcome of my business day, so when I called Best Western to make a reservation, I was greeted by Rosanna, an extremely helpful, friendly and proficient hotel receptionist. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail of my stay was perfect, including recommending restaurants, directions to an office supply store, corporate discounts and more. I ended up staying a second night and she set me up with another great room at the same special rate. Rosanna is very professional and a pleasure to work with. Likewise, I have had many hotel hot breakfasts during my business travels, but none so well prepared and delicious as what I enjoyed at this hotel. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, which is very uncommon! The breakfast hostess, Wanda, was very attentive to the presentation, quality and quantity of food she served and genuinely cared if you were enjoying it. She even asked if the stawberry compote for the waffles or crepes was too sweet or if it needed additional strawberries. I would return to this hotel for the breakfast alone! Friendly and professional staff, nice hotel accommodations and great food = an excellent hotel experience! I will return!

it is close to family and friends with many restaurants nearby. It is also close to interstate for easy access. Nice size pool. We stay there often and would definitely recommend to others traveling in the area..

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and accommodating. The front desk person was very helpful and Wanda serving breakfast was great. Definitely a good value for the quality of this hotel. Highly recommend.

« Can't Do Much Better Than This »

We frequently travel and look and generally don't like to spend over $100 per night. This was one of the best places we have stayed at. Comfortable beds. Thermostat controlled quiet a/c. Clean. Full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus several other choices. The room was spacious and everything was well laid out and it was obvious the place was considerably better than a standard average room for the price range we look for. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

    « Quick getaway »

Very nice and surprised. I room was very nice, microwave and refrigerator. They also had Full breakfast available each day but Saturday's breakfast was the best. The have an outdoor pool but did not have a jacuzzi.

    « Great Customer Service! »

We pulled in at 2 AM. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly accommodating and friendly. We walked to the room and once inside, we were hit with a very musty smell. I immediately sprayed the Lysol I had, and all was fine. In the morning we were too late for breakfast (7-9 am). As we were headed out, we walked to get coffee and saw yogurt in the refrigerator. Wanda heard us in the kitchenette area and offered the kids bagels. Next, she offered pastries. In a matter of seconds we had bagels and 4 types of pastries to choose from! She then said there was only one banana out and offered to get more. She checked on us while eating and then again before she locked things up. Wanda, thanks for your warm spirit, kindness, and conversation. You blessed us this morning. As my Pastor always says, it is a blessing to be a blessing. Have a blessed day, Wanda!

« Night staff needs customer service skills refresher »

After feeling rushed by an impatient front desk employee (night shift) we were relieved to see that the room was very clean and comfortable. Also the breakfast was impressive and the rest of the staff in particular the cleaning staff were very courteous and polite.

    « Very pleasant stay »

We felt safe and well provided for. very comfortable room and the beds were so comfortable we slept like a log. A?C is not the quietest so we turned the unit fan to run constantly and that was okay then. we'll likely stay there again.

    « Very nice hotel! »

The staff was extremely courteous, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. They even served freshly baked cookies at the front desk - needless to say, they didn't last long. We every much enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

« Added to my Favorites list! »

By far the best hotel we stayed at on our 5000 mile road trip this May and June. We were on our way home from our multi-destination road trip with our 13 year old grandson and stopped here very late on Friday night. It was about 2 am when we arrived and we were all exhausted from trying to outrun the storms in Virginia all day. The clerk at the front desk was very understanding and helpful. He got us checked in very efficiently. We were all amazed to find such a huge, immaculate, comfortably laid out space when we got to our room! We did not ask for a suite, but this unit had more space than some of the suites we had stayed in! Plenty of room to walk around the furniture without bumping into it or each other. I usually book Best Westerns because they have some of the most comfortable beds of the hotels in the same price range and this was our first stay at this hotel. We were amazed at the quality of this hotel for the price. It was one of the least expensive places we had stayed on this trip. The beds were extra comfortable and the linens were soft and snuggly. So snuggly that we slept in too late to get breakfast and had to call down to the front desk to ask for a late checkout! The manager was very accommodating with that as well. When we were loading our luggage, one of the guests had a flat tire near where we were parked. One of the hotel staff, asked my husband if he could borrow a lug wrench to change the guest's tire. My husband let him borrow our wrench and the staff member happily changed the guest's tire. That is what I call going out of your way to help others! I was very disappointed that we could not stay longer than one night in this beautiful hotel with it's wonderful staff. There are many things to do and see in and around Knoxville and we would have stayed longer if we had not had to be back in Albuquerque by Sunday evening. Albuquerque. This will definitely be included in our list of places to stay when we plan our next adventure!

« Great One Night Stay »

Great hotel. It is clean, breakfast was great, and I slept without issue. The bed was a little hard but other than that, everything was superb. The price was fair too. Ill definitely come back if I have to stay in Knoxville again.

    « Excellent choice »

Our experience with Best Western is almost always good to excellent. That was certainly the case here. From Virginie at the front desk, to the small pool, to a blessedly quiet AC unit, and a perfectly acceptable included breakfast, our one night stay here was excellent.

« Highly recommend, very reasonable »

This was a fabulous experience! What a beautiful hotel mountain lodge lobby and very nice, comfortable, updated, super clean room! Close to restaurants. You can even walk to Parkside Grill where we ate which was delicious and very reasonable! This hotel had a great breakfast and Wanda was a great breakfast hostess. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located near the interstate and easy off and on. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Great Priceline deal! »

We don't normally book Best Westerns, because they are usually dated and I'm never sure what type of stay we will have. However, Priceline gave us a great deal on this hotel, and we were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are spacious and the hotel was very clean. I'm extremely picky about where we stay, and for the money we spent, this exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was really good, with lots of variety. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no indoor pool (there is a nice outdoor pool that we used), and the breakfast was only served until 9, which can be hard when you're traveling. I recommend!!

    5
« This is THE ONE to STAY IN! »

I have never met such wonderful people as the staff at Best Western Cedar Bluff Inn. They saw to my every need and then some. The room was immaculate, bed very comfortable, noiseless room, wonderful tub and shower, plenty of towels, efficient maid service, terrific free breakfast, great amenities such as flat screen TV, refrigerator and wet bar (in Executive Suite). I would come back again and again.

« Excellent value for a well-maintained property with great service »

Arriving in Knoxville last Saturday after crossing the beautiful Smoky Mountains, I stopped here for the night. I won this excellent 3-star hotel via Priceline Express Deals and scored it for $65/night (Total with tax and fees: $82.58). A wonderful value for this price for the following reasons: 1. Knoxville is a small city yet has a lot of hotel options in this Cedar Bluff area (about 20 minutes to downtown). There are at least 10 hotels within a 10-minute radius so talk about a competitive area that keeps this hotel on its toes. 2. The hotel is a 3-story building: a bit older but very well maintained. I asked for a high room and was assigned Room 301, which is at the very end nearest to the highway. Parking is around the hotel in a U-shape with only one end in and out of the property. 3. A grocery store (Kroger Marketplace) is about 5 minutes away. Many restaurants within easy reach. 4. The front desk manager (Christine) welcomed me warmly. She worked with me on my request to be upstairs and to be on the quieter side. She explained the free morning breakfast hours, parking layout, and pitched the benefits of joining the BW Rewards program. She was such a good sport that I joined on the spot. 5. Housekeeping: Since I was only there overnight, I did not see how well they reset my room. But, I found the room wonderfully clean, the toilet had an old-school ?sealed for your protection? wrapper on it, and the everything was stocked. 6. Breakfast buffet: Wanda, the breakfast hostess, was pro-active making sure that the ample buffet was fully stocked and that nothing got too messy. There were a wide variety of items: fresh whole fruit as well as a cut-up fruit mix, a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, various breads and muffins, milk, yogurt, a juice machine, and actual real silverware to use with solid plates. You don't see this very often in moderate hotels anymore. 7. The décor is focused on upgraded mattresses and linens. The carpet looked quite new and tasteful. Each room has a fridge and microwave, which is excellent to find. I liked that the TV remote was one of those Microclean design which don't have buttons for germs to hide in. The bath towels were in good order with good absorbency. Some very minor downsides: 1. Road noise: Being by the interstate means that large 18-wheelers will whoosh by. The AC unit and double-paned windows can only mask so much so you may want to bring a pair of foam earplugs if you are very sensitive to noise. Given that I'm from a large city, it didn't bother me. 2. The sink is outside the bathroom (tub/toilet area), which is perfectly fine with me. But, the carpet at the sink area leaves little doubt that it will get wet time and again. I opted to lay down a clean towel in the area to sop up any water as well as to prevent my feet from touching that area of carpet. 3. Directional room number signs: When I got to the third floor, I was confused on which hall to go down. Only later did I realize that there are signs but are near the ceiling and blend into the background since they are beige. They should be lower at eye-level and in more contrast to the wallpaper. Overall, this property is a great value for the money and is highly recommended. You get a clean well-maintained property, warm and friendly staff, an ample breakfast buffet, and a solid well-appointed room for your money. I'd stay here on another visit to Knoxville. « Felt like family »

Every one from Vivianne and Debra at the lobby desk, Wanda in charge of the breakfast buffet, and Maria who made sure my room was clean and provided me with clean towels, and many folks behind the scenes made my visit to Knoxville to take care of my sick brother a comforting and safe place to stay. The rooms are clean, the beds have cozy linens, the breakfast and evening cookies are a delight. The folks are sweet and friendly, and I felt like I was staying with family.

    « 2 star @ best »

Booked this hotel through Priceline. Still feel like I paid way too much for the quality of this hotel. Priceline and most website lists this as a three-star. But I would never give it more than 2. It's an older Hotel not very soundproof. The air conditioning unit through the wall to the outside did not cool the room very well. Everything about the hotel just gives you an old outdated feeling. I'm not sure I will trust Priceline again with their star rating. I'm not sure what the Plus in the Best Western Plus name means. But this is just a typical Best Western. Nothing special.

    « Pleasant Clean Stay »

Needed 2 rooms,2 days and queen beds- not easy to find. BWCBI had a great price and exactly what we needed. The rooms were large, very clean, and comfortable. Comfy beds, pillows, sitting chair and ottoman. The air conditioning was good but became a tad loud, a few slight pushes adjusted housing and quiet once more. Lots of little touches in room were nice, microclean remote, lap desk, usb outlets by bed, micro, fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom had a couple glitches, the toilet was not seated properly and moved slightly when seating. The tub faucet also improperly installed was facing the wall. The bathroom was however one of the cleanest I've seen in recent days. The included extensive breakfast was a huge surprise. The usual offerings of cereal, breads, waffles etc but also hot eggs, gravy and biscuits. First day the eggs had ham mixed in which precluded some from partaking, they may want to reconsider as many don't eat pork. They had a fresh fruit compote, and a bar of mix ins of walnuts, raisins, etc, Many teas, and beverages were available. And 2 things that made my stay comfortable, almond milk and several types of greek yogurt! The clerks were nice and friendly checking in and out. A little odd was the lack of offering my receipt, I had to ask for it, but it was quite busy and may have been an oversight. While the location is near the interstate the outdoor pool was situated making it quite private. There are many restaurants in immediate area and nearby shopping.

    « Overnight stay »

While en route to Ohio from South Carolina, we stayed overnight at Best Western Knoxville North to break up the trip. The room was roomy and clean, the folks at the front desk were friendly, check-in/out was quick and easy and the full breakfast in the morning was a great send off. I recommend...

    « Comfortable and convenient »

We travelled to Knoxville for a tumbling meet at the convention center. This hotel was a quick 15 minute drive from downtown and a comfortable stay with terrific free breakfast as well as countless dining options nearby. My 8 year old enjoyed the outdoor pooling and I enjoyed the lounge chair!!

    « Coffee in the Lobby 24/7 »

We arrived after 12:30 am, exhausted from traveling ten hours Wednesday. The night desk clerk had to let us in the back door because there was no parking available in front that late, and all entrances other than the main lobby are accessible only via room key card at that hour. We were thrilled to learn that both regular and decaf coffee are available in the lobby all day and night. The desk clerk made a fresh pot for us after Hubby told her the coffee wasn't very hot. We loved our double room on the third floor and could have stayed indefinitely, with the mini-refridge and microwave, plus plenty of drawer space and floor space. We also loved that the sink and vanity area was separate from the toilet/tub room. Furnishings included a flat screen TV , easy chair, computer desk and chair with fast complimentary wi-fi, night stand, 3-drawer dresser, and full length mirror. Other amenities included iron and board, laundry service, coffee maker, ice bucket, luggage rack, lots of hangers, hair dryer, plentiful thick towels, and upscale personal care items. I was particularly impressed with the shower wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash - much preferable to bar soap. The hotel even provides make-up removal towelettes and a shoe shine cloth. The bed was very comfortable, and a choice of firm and soft pillows was standard offering. The room was quiet, and the darkening curtains kept the sun away until we chose to greet it. The most pleasant surprise during our stay was complimentary breakfast, served 6-9 am. We almost never eat comp hotel breakfasts because cheap, processed fake food is standard fare. Not Cedar Bluff Inn. We were incredulous that they actually offered a fresh fruit cocktail, including pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and sliced oranges. Scrumptious! They also provided fresh whole bananas and apples. I was pleased to find oatmeal, though instant. I'll eat plain instant oatmeal and, since the hotel provides real cinnamon, granola, dried fruit and nuts, I was able to create a marvelous healthy concoction. Almond milk, in addition to cow milk, was a most welcome substitute. Of course you can opt for the typical dry cereals, waffle mix, yogurt and Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs and pork meat with gravy. The eggs seemed like they came from a mix, and we don't eat pork, so we skipped that part. All in all this was a wonderful stay. The location is convenient, less than a mile from the I-75 exit ramp. You don't hear any highway noise. My only complaint was that the electrical outlets in the desk lamp didn't work and my camera battery didn't recharge overnight. We'd definitely stay here again.

    « Amazing!!! »

Everything about this place was amazing, from the service and attentive staff to the cleanliness of the room. If the coffee ran out, all our ad to do was mention it to one of the staff, and they drop everything to make you happy. I would definitely recommend travelers to come here. Great for one or more night stays with many restaurants within walking distance.

    5
    « Wonderful breakfast service! »

Wanda made us feel right at home during breakfast. Our group loved the coffee and build your oatmeal options. Room was very clean and staff was nice. Located right off of highway with food options nearby. Will stay again if travel takes me back this way.

    « I would stay here anytime »

We stayed for over a week and it was wonderful. Room was spacious, WiFi worked well, breakfast was good and they switched it up daily. We got to know the staff and they are great and friendly people. In the whole time we were there, I never heard a sounds from any adjacent rooms. I can't say enough to support this great hotel.

    « nice »

This was a clean, comfortable motel with very nice breakfast and very nice, helpful personnel. The area was very nice and it was close enough to the freeway without being on top of it ,not noisy.. Only trouble I ran into was the very low toilet seat-lowest I've ever seen.

    « Great Customer Service! »

This Best Western is nice enough for the price. We were only there overnight, and with taxes it came to $160 for a room with 2 queen beds for me and my 7YO son. The real value in staying there, however, was the customer service. From the minute we checked in, it was excellent. I had booked 2 rooms, one for me and my son, one for a friend. When we got there, they gave us adjoining rooms, but separated the room charges so I only paid for my own even though I had reserved them both on my card. After the rooms were taken care of by Christine at the desk, I asked for food recommendations as we had been in the car for hours. Christine gave us menus to look at, and ultimately a coupon for the Parkside Grill once we had decided to go there. It was walking distance and was just what we needed. (*But in the interim she signed me up as a BW Rewards person after explaining it was super easy and worth it. I don't need one more value card, but she wasn't a hard sell. I think I'll def use it in the future.) Once we got back from dinner, my kiddo wanted nothing more than to jump in the pool. When I asked Rosanna at the front desk where it was, she told us and then kindly gave pool towels to my son. This question turned into a good 10 minute conversation with her about how she was originally from Boston, but had moved to TN to be near her daughter in college. Anyway, this to say, that we had yet another really thoughtful interaction with the staff where they weren't simply doing "just enough". (Of note, because we arrived at 5pm on a Friday on a holiday weekend- when most people have punched out, understandably). Free breakfast the next morning was really crowded because the hotel was host to a kids convention in town, but the staff handled it really well. After breakfast, at 9:40 am, my son suited up and wanted to swim one last time. When we got to the front desk to get another towel, the gentleman notified us that the pool did not open until 10 am. We were checking out at 10:30 am. My son was as devastated as one might think, and before his face fell too far, the man said, "Let me see what I can do." And just like that, the pool was opened early for us. HAPPY KID!! So really, the hotel itself was great for the money, but the real value was with the kind and professional folks who work there.

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

We were in town for a Destination Imagination Conference. We had never stayed at a Best Western before. Most other hotels around us were completely booked, so we decided to stay here not knowing what to expect but booking it based on others reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The beds were very comfortable. The full breakfast in the mornings was a bonus we weren't expecting. It even had make your own Belgian Waffles. Everything was clean and well maintained. And you could tell it had been updated. Even granite counter tops in the bar area of our room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I'm in Knoxville.

« Southern hospitality at an affordable price. »

We purchased our rooms through Priceline sight unseen. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The lobby was very inviting. Upon entering the hotel a fresh lemon scent was noticed. In my opinion, that usually means the hotel is clean. As soon as we checked in, we were given free cookies at the front desk. That was a tasty welcoming surprise. Our rooms were great. The showers had shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers so we didn't have to dig through our luggage just to take a shower. The corner of the room had a great reading nook with a light behind a comfy chair with an ottoman. Updated furniture and nice bed linens. Free hot breakfast with waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries and cereal. This Best Western is very well managed. I would definitely stay here again.

    « Nice overnight stop »

Nice and clean room. Elevator. Included breakfast was about the same as most - waffles to make yourself, pastries, eggs, biscuits, sausage, yogurts, fresh fruit, etc. Nice clean breakfast room with TV on weather channel. Room was neat and clean. We'd stay there again.

« Excellent place to stay »

The staff is very caring and helpful. I needed to extend my stay due to my husband being hospitalized. They expressed concern for both of us. The breakfast is varied and excellent. They use regular dishes and silverware, not paper or plastic. It was a very comfortable place and I will definitely stay there when I am in the area. My husband did enjoy his 1 night stay with me after being discharged from the hospital.

« A great experience especially considering the price »

Staff very nice. Room on 3rd floor. I could hear traffic all evening. It's annoying, but it isn't so bad that you still notice it either working on a computer or watching TV. It's in a part of town that appears to have been developed with the last ten years. All the buildings look about the same age. Car navigation system had no trouble finding it. It's Cinco de Mayo. There is a Mexican restaurant very nearby that was packed. There is a separate review. Breakfast had things for all diets and ages. I saw kids eating just about everything, including Mickey Mouse waffles. The scrambled eggs were dry. BUT, an endless supply of bacon can make up for a lot. I've stayed at places that were a lot worse and cost a lot more. This place is a good value. I'd stay there again and suggest you give it a try.

    « Impressed--not what I expected »

We were traveling through from Arkansas back home to NC when my husband needed a much needed break from driving. I read the reviews on our trusty trip advisor app and decided on best western. We were only going to shower and sleep for a few hours before heading on the road again and the price was right. This was our 3rd stay at best westerns on this trip and was the best one so far. We arrived around 10:00 pm and check in was easy. We requested a room at a particular location so our window would overlook our truck and trailer and they easily accommodated. We stayed on the 3rd floor overlooking the back parking lot. When we walked in the room, my husband said "wow." I agree. It was really nice. And clean. We had 2 queen beds, nice spacious room and the sink was outside of the shower/toilet area (which I love). Beds were COMFY!! It was soft but not too soft. 4 pillows on the bed and I used 2 of them while hubby only used 1. We slept great! To be right beside of I-40, I expected some highway noise but we didn't hear a thing. Not sure if that was because we were on 3rd floor or were just that tired, but was impressive nonetheless. Most important to me, it looked CLEAN. That is my number one thing to look for. If the place isn't clean I will go somewhere else--even if it means I pay more money! I was pleasantly surprised at this BW and would most definitely stay here again. Only downside is parking was a little tight. We were in a pickup truck towing a 15 foot trailer. Nowhere to park in front so we headed around back. There is only one way in and the same way out (it doesn't loop around like we thought--pool blocks it) so my husband had to turn around in the parking lot. Luckily, there were few cars there (and the ones who were parked there were strategically parked and he was able to turn around.) Had the hotel been packed with cars, this would have been more challenging. Perhaps signage to indicate that this is only entrance/exit would help. Another small issue was the shower was slow to drain (and it was a quick shower) We left around 4:45 am to get on the road and were able to just drop our keys off at front desk with lady and pick up our to go breakfast (they gave us that option when they found out we wouldn't be there for breakfast) typical fruit, water, and granola bar which is a nice way to leave and will help us get on down the road without stopping for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. Without hesitation.

    « Overnight trip. »

We stayed at this hotel about a month ago and we really liked it. It is clean and welcoming. The staff are nice and friendly. The breakfast has a very good selection. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I like hotels that leave 3 to 4 bath towels and a good selection of TV channels. There is every restaurant you may want to eat at, just within a mile and there are plenty more plenty more in a 2 mile radius.

    « Nice stay »

Nice stay, enjoyed better than the Hilton hotel. Was there on business and was able to have a nice relaxing room to come back to. hotel in doing some remodeling but that was never an issue. Breakfast was okay depending on the day, fresh fruit instead of can would be nice. Located near all major shopping locations, minutes from the mall and many restaurants. Overall nice experience for a first time visitor.

    « Pleasantly surprised ! »

When I got this hotel thru my online, at first, I was disappointed to see Best Western. I have had multiple bad lucks with this brand. Not a fan...since the ratings were so great, I had some hope. We found the place to be very very clean. Cleaning program gets two thumbs up ! Breakfast was good. Eggs tasted like real eggs. Real plates and silverware. Saw almond milk! Green tea was really good. Great value ! I don't change my view on BW but when in Knoxville, I'll be sure to check this place out again. Well done Ceder Bluff Inn !

« Clean, nice hotel with good hot breakfast »

We had a very nice first floor room. We were a group on a bus trip so we did not specify anything special about the room. I am classifying this as "couples" because it was just my husband and me, but we were part of a bus trip. That isn't an option that you give.

    « Best Western Plus »

It's not a 5 star hotel but for the price I was very satisfied. The staff was some of the best I'v seen. The coffee was ready day or night. When the AC acted up it was fixed before I returned later that same afternoon. Parking was easy. The noise level on the side of I40 was not bad at all in the room. As we have family in Knoxville we will stay there again in the future.

Conveniently located in an area with lots of restaurants. There is a Sears Outlet with great deals. Room is very good sized, clean, comfortable and an extra sink outside the bathroom which is very handy. Coffee and fruits like bananas, oranges or apples are available 24 hours near the reception area and good substitute if you have to leave early before the complimentary breakfast starts.

-clean- -roomy- -comfortable beds- The floors were clean and seemed new! The window unit is controlled by a wall device and controls the temperature very well! My toddler couldn't get into anything dangerous....the room was already child proof! And the staff was super nice! A guy named Jim behind the counter was extra friendly and didn't make it awkward! I wish every Best Western was like this place!!!

« Had a great visit, staff was nice and room was clean »

We had a great stay at this hotel! We received a main room floor which had a window that opened all the way, which was really nice. Many places only open the window if at all; maybe 3 inches. The sink was outside of the bathroom; which I like. The bed was clean and comfortable with great pillows. Coffee 24 hrs was nice. My hubby is a smoker and the end of the hotel near our room didn't offer a smokers area but all other areas outside were? Odd. In the bathroom your shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are in bulk in the shower instead of small containers. The only drawback was the conditioner barely came out when you pushed the knob. A pea size was offered per pump and since my hair is longer it took a long time to get enough out that was roughly a tablespoon of conditioner. I know that's a very minor thing and it's the only thing I'd improve on. Great stay; priceline made it a great price on the express deal. Pool is outside.

« not friendly to handicap »

We were disappointed with the pillow top bed for the person in our group that is handicap. They needed a firm bed and spent a miserable night, unable to move all night long due to the extremely soft beds. We were also very disappointed in the quality of food and went to Chick-a-fil to get breakfast as the hotels breakfast foods tasted that bad.

    « No 3 Star Here »

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Elevator and room smelled of mildew. Walls scared up and carpets are ripped and stained. Truckers in the lobby waiting for cabs. It is clean for the most part and the breakfast area was clean and well taken care of. It is an OK place but NO 3 STAR. If you are looking for luxury, go somewhere else. Staff was friendly. It is not upscale, just average at best. Area is safe. Parking area is not well lit.

« Beautiful hotel with extraordinary service »

This is a nice hotel, very conveniently located. Rooms are beautifully outfitted. Most importantly: the staff is VERY accommodating. Though there was not a restaurant at the facility, the "included breakfast" was quite good. Our extended family, about 20 in all, stayed here very recently. The staff was aware that we were there for a bereavement, and they extended every courtesy to us. When I repeatedly thanked Jim of Guest Services for the hotel staff's many kindnesses, I was told that he would like to think that a hotel would treat him the same way if he were in our circumstances. Another member of the staff, Afio, got us hot beverages when we returned late in the evening. When we left after several days, I felt a twinge of sadness leaving, almost as though we were leaving family!

« We love this hotel »

When we go to Knoxville to bowl, we always stay at this Best Western. The staff is kind and the Presidential Suite is a very nice home away from home. It has plenty of room and the tub is relaxing. The location is just across the street from Strike and Bowl. You can bowl, have a few drinks, sit and talk in the bar area and be in your room within 5 minutes when you finish. If you are celebrating your anniversary or birthday be sure to call and let the staff know because they are really good at making the day very special. The bed is really comfortable too. We never hear any noise from other rooms either. This is a very nice place to stay!

Traveling with a 17 foot bag of vaulting poles is difficult and many hotel staff members cringe when they see it. « Great Hotel and Servide »

Booked our one night stay with Priceline in Knoxville on our journey to Florida. On check in we were offered our choice of fresh baked cookies and enjoyed talking with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Our room was exceptionally well organized and metriculouly clean. Every effort was made to anticipate anything we might require. We enjoyed their high quality mattress that provided a great quality of sleep after a 12 hour drive. Much appreciated the fact that no noise was transmitted from the corridor. At breakfast we enjoyed a multitude of choices including freshly scrambled eggs, bacon, choice of juices, high quality coffee, choice of muffin, croissants, variety of breads, porridge, fruit cocktail and fresh fruit...apples, bananas, oranges. Could not have asked for anything better and the breakfast server was ever attentive to refilling and restocking coffee and other choices. Certainly went above and beyond the normal experience. A variety of outlets were provided for various charging of electronic devices. First time I have seen the abilty for USB charging.

« Clean, quiet, safe, convenient and comfortable »

This entirely non-smoking property is exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. The Plus status is well deserved, with all decor updated, warm cookies at check-in and additional breakfast choices at the free buffet. The room was modern; our 2 queen beds were great and the typically noisy HVAC was SO QUIET. The bath and shower were spotless, the carpet was clean and the new TV remote system used by BWs are a good answer to reduce germs. The best part of this BW is the staff. They are wonderful. The night mgr recommended a nearby restaurant which was fantastic.

« One of the nicer Best Western, wasn't happy with TV choices for kids »

This is one of the nicer Best Westerns I have been too. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were nice, clean...no complaints. I was very disappointed that all of the kid channels are now a "buy channel" for the few Best Westerns we have stayed at recently. I shouldn't have to pay $2.99 to watch one 20 minute show on nickelodeon...I would rather pay the extra money and stay at a Hampton and not have the headache. The breakfast was typical but really made the stay. My son is very plain in terms of food and the eggs were mixed with ham...the attendant overheard my son and I speaking and she offered to make him plain eggs. That was very nice of her and just really made the stay that much better that I almost forgot about having to pay for kid shows. She definitely went above and beyond.

You will not find any hotel in Knoxville, TN that has better service than the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff. I return each time for business because of their outstanding service and their friendly manner. The room is large and has every comfort needed. Thanks again to their wonderful staff! :-)

Rooms and common areas were very clean. The room was quite spacious. It is an older hotel which has been renovated. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. « Just right »

This is a well run hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The fridge and the heating system were silent. My husband said that it was his best night's sleep in a week. It makes a difference when there are two people on duty at the reception. The staff was friendly and efficient. I do have a quibble with the breakfast: The eggs were cold and the pastries were either old or not sufficiently defrosted. They were like rocks. The coffee, though, was delicious as were the waffles. It was a treat to eat with real plates and utencils. Another little quibble: The parking lot was a bit dark at night. But my quibbles are minor ones. This is a fine hotel for a restful stop or the road from New Orleans to DC.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. We had already stopped at two hotels and they were terrible. The room was large and very clean. Also, the bed was awesome. The staff was very helpful. The staff were helpful in giving me bags filled with ice and allowed us to exceed our check-out time to complete the treatment.

    « Thanksgiving Travel Oasis »

My husband and I made an unscheduled stop in Knoxville, on the day after Thanksgiving. I called from my cell phone while on the road, and the entire process was painless and absolutely pleasant. When we finally arrived at the hotel, after a long day of driving and visiting family, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The lobby was decorated for Christmas, and it was really lovely! It was clean and bright and comfortable - and given that it was the 4th of 5 hotels we stayed at in a week, that really says something! Our room was excellent, well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The continental breakfast was excellent! My husband is generally not a fan of what most hotels consider to be "breakfast", but he was very pleased. The fresh, hot coffee and breakfast was exactly what we needed to set us on our way for the next leg of our holiday road trip.

« Great place to stay in Knoxville »

Traveling the Sunday after Thanksgiving, it was such a respite to get off the crowded & wet interstate & relax at this hotel. Jim, at the front desk, checked us in & went the extra mile to make sure we had the correct directions to a local eatery. He was very helpful & pleasant. The lobby was decorated for Christmas which gave it a homey touch. The room keys are the scanner type & so much easier to use. The room was large & clean with the large bathroom being separate from the vanity & sink area. Bathroom had lots of thick towels & washcloths & there were soap & shampoo dispensers in the shower area. Beds were very comfortable. They had a nice hot breakfast with both waffle maker & pancake maker. The pumpkin batter gave the room a nice aroma. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs with diced ham, fresh fruit (apples & bananas) as well as mixed fruit compote along with cereal, breads & pastries. The breakfast attendant was present, helpful and anticipated any needs from diners. There were fresh cut flowers on the breakfast tables. The hotel is located close to a shopping center with a large Kroger grocery, along with numerous restaurants. It is very quiet; we did notice any noise inside the building or from the street. The only negative that my husband noticed was that the bathroom door did not lock.

This hotel was extremely clean, centrally located and the staff was awesome. We were concerned about being on the west side of Knoxville but this was an excellent location. Complimentary cookies & coffee were good too

    « Best Best Western »

This location is one of the best I have stayed at. If I'm ever in the area again will definitely stay here. The staff, decor, breakfast were excellent. If I could give a score higher then "10", I would. Great place and conveniently located off a major highway and surrounded by restaurants and places to shop.

Bed could have been more comfortable, other than that everything else was great. I didn't have time to sit down an eat breakfast, I did grab a piece of fruit and Danish. They did offer a variety of things to choose from. The counter staff were polite and helpful.

    « Knoxville marathon »

My friend and I stayed here for three nights for the Knoxville marathon weekend. The room and bed were fine. There was lots to choose from for breakfast. There was also a gym, which was necessary to do some marathon warm up. However, I wish they had a hot tub or a sauna to help with the recovery from the run.

    « Very satisfied »

We randomly picked this motel on our way south, what a luck little find. The lobby is beautiful and smelt so fresh and clean. From the time we checked in to the time we left everyone was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We were recommended a great little restaurant called Parkside Grille, and the breakfast was good, organized, and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

« Excellent Customer Care-Knowledgeable-Made me feel comfortable. »

The hotel and their accommodations at the Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff Inn were excellent. Comfortable and relaxing decor. Large spacious rooms, with all the amenities that you need when staying away from home. The Staff was incredible, over the top in Kindness, Attentiveness, and attitude. Everything I asked from was done immediately. I held a meeting there as well and they did an outstanding job servicing our needs. We had the food items when we needed them and always had the drinks full and stocked. I never had to ask twice or remind them of anything, they were on the money with everything. Very Impressive! The General Manager of the property was also around, visiting with guests and making us feel at home and truly like we were his guests. Thank you Tyler for a great stay! Great location, and a Great Breakfast as well. I would highly recommend that anyone, and everyone stay at this hotel. This was my first time staying here, and I will be back, and will not hesitate to book any other hotel, but this one!

    « not bad »

Service was excellent as well as the hot breakfast...but first two night in first room...WIFI was terrible...they switch me to another room...it was better, but in this room, the drain was clogged in the tub.

    « Great value »

Not the newest hotel in town but always clean and neat. Rooms are huge! Rooms have plenty of light and lots of outlets and usb plug-ins. Housekeeping staff is probably one of the most friendly I have encountered...certainly in this hotels price range. Breakfast is good and exceeds expectations for the amount you pay for a nights stay. This hotel is the best bargain in Knoxville!

    « Pleasantly Surprised »

This was the first time we stayed at a Beat Western PLUS during our week vacation. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with the quality for the $$. At check-in we were greeted with a smile and processed very quickly. Our room was very clean. We enjoyed the extra touches such as the sign on the remote that it had been cleaned and the toilet bowl having a sealed wrapper and toilet paper roll folded decoratively. These are such small things that make a difference. The breakfast was great. We actually ate off of REAL plates! The eggs tasted flavorful as did the sausage and gravy. Wanda, the Breakfast Hostess came out several times to make sure everything was as we wanted and initiated conversation about our trip. All in all we were extremely impressed and will be looking for Best Western PLUS hotels as we continue our journey.

Good hotel with very friendly staff. Clean room no problems. Only stayed one night so don't have much info to share about specifics. Will stay again if have the chance. No outside noise but I was on the opposite end of the interstate on third floor.

« Best Place to Stay While in Knoxville »

There are a great many places to stay in Knoxville and where you stay depends a great deal upon who you're with, what you're doing in Knoxville and how accessible do you need to be to the major roads. I was alone on business and feel there is no better place for cleanliness, price, courtesy, convenience and accessibility to major thoroughfares. I have stayed at other hotels in Knoxville on prior trips and wish I hadn't. I will continue to return to this one.

« Not your Grandma's Best Western - Very nice stay »

I think Best Western Hotels had a negative reputation at one time, but I can honestly say that they have some of the nicer mid-range properties these days. The Best Western at Cedar Bluff is no exception! The facilities are modern and clean. The staff is friendly. We were there for the UT game, and there is a game-day shuttle that services the hotel. There were even warm cookies on hand when we arrived back from the game. The rooms are modern and very clean. They have a very strict "no smoking" policy, and we were very comfortable here. As a bonus, there is a free continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel is a good location, near many restaurants, bars and shopping. It is reasonably priced, and I would not hesitate staying again or recommending to a friend.

    « A little known high-quality hotel chain »

The PLUS hotels are a higher quality group in the Best Western chain. The rooms are large, clean, and in good repair. The complimentary breakfast is much better than in similar hotels. The staff made us feel like they were glad to have us as guests. We have already reserved another stay.

« Off the Main Street »

Finding the hotel required a sharp eye. The big sign was behind a tree and the little monument sign was easily seen but I still drove into the Whirlpool parking lot instead of the hotel lot. Once we were inside the lobby was clean and the fresh bake cookies and fruit were waiting for us. The front desk clerk was friendly and the check in process was quick even using our rewards points. The room was large and clean with good wi-fi. I like to use a wired connection but there wasn't one. It was quiet through out the night though we were only a couple of rooms away from the breakfast area. Breakfast was well stocked and they used real plates and silverware. The bathroom sink was in the sleeping area, not my preferred location. The sink stopper held water. The restaurant selection in the area is great with many retail stores nearby. We would stay here again

« Our Favorite Stay In Knoxville »

We have returned to this hotel twice in the last week. Always a pleasant stay, with great staff. Also, has a great location off the interstate. The moment you enter the lobby, the fresh flowers smell ever so wonderful. Can't say that about any other hotel.

    « Comfortable beds »

We were in Knoxville for a wedding and the beds at the hotel were very comfortable. There was a wonderful and great tasting breakfast selection. Everything was very clean and the staff was great. The only complaint would be the noise from interstate traffic.
