    « Bait N Switch warning »

Be careful at this hotel. I reserved a room (2 nights) covered by reward points - on check in they took my credit card information for ID purposes only. On check out me credit card had been billed in error and I was promised a credit within two weeks. The charge hit the credit card fast - no credit yet. I think I have been cheated.

    « Another Good Stay »

I have stayed at this location several times when in the area on business. The staff has always been friendly, nice, and professional. I really enjoy the presentation and the choice of breakfast items. The hotel is an older structure, but the upkeep is nice.

    « Best Ever! »

Wow, what a hotel. Friendly staff. Nice and clean rooms, very attractive. Excellent pool area, super breakfast choices. Free, excellent wifi connection. We just wanted to stay 1 night, but made it 2, as this place makes you feel relax. We can only recommend if you are in the area choose this location and do not go anywhere else. Superb!

« Go to the Alluvian »

The staff are nothing special. The Coffee pot was broken in my room. I called down to ask for a new one. It wasn't brought. The pillows are terrible. The food wasn't good but it's free. The pool is why we booked this hotel and my kids enjoyed it. There is nothing to do activity wise in this area so the pool was nice. The workout room is hot, small and the equipment is outdated. There's a nicer hotel in the area but it was booked. If we ever have to come back here again we will be staying there.

« Saved the family vacation »

Had a terrible experience at another hotel in town and refuse to stay there. I came right over to the Best Western and received a warm greeting by the wonderful Amy. The rooms are nice and clean with a homey feel to them. The kids and I enjoyed the beautiful indoor/outdoor pool...just beautiful! The rates are reasonable and the staff was nice and attentive. I would definitely stay here again!!! They have my business whenever I'm in town!!!

    « husband »

t The over all stay was nice, but there were a problem with me towels I left at my door with the do not disturb sign. That night Aug. 13, there were no towels at my door. The lady that wash the towels took them and didn't replace them. The next day the cleaning lady gave us clean ones. She said she would straighten it out with the lady in the washing room, once she return from the weekend. The housekeeper I was talking to was the one who cleaned by the laundry room, she was the one who told my wife to leave the towels in a bag by the door. She was also the one who got smart with my wife and said she didn't take them, but replaced them.

« Decent place for the price »

Wonderful service, average rooms, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, continental breakfast, 24 hour coffee service, offers a washer and dryer to the guests. I think for the price, we were satisfied. The employees and manager is what makes the place special.

    « Terribe General Manager »

I am writing this review because of the disrespect that myself and my family receive from the general manager of this establishment. My family ,and I were in greenwood for a family emergency on Wednesday of last week in which we traveled from Texas. We arrived to this establishment to check in with my 4 small children, my wife, and I. When the unthinkable happened the general manager by the name of Kenny stated that we had to many people in our party ,and denied us the room although it had been paid for. He stated that if we wanted a room that my kids would have to get a room by themselves note my oldest child is 9 and youngest is two. He was very disrespectful to my family in our time of need. When so many other people helped us out in our time of need. We had been in greenwood since last Sunday because my mother had fallen ill ,and had to have emergency surgery. We explained to Kenny that the Hampton INN had no issue with my family staying at their establishment with our small children. We informed the general manager that we would be contacting corporate in regards to this incident he stated that he didn't care, because corporate could make him do anything because this is his hotel. Corporate was advised of this incident. I will never stay at this establishment ever again or spend one red dime, so if you have small children remember Kenny will not allow your family to stay at his hotel. So BEST WESTERN if you would rather lose money because you have employed a idiots like this person that's representing your Hotel name then so be it. Plus this person stated that we could just go back to The Hampton their rival if we needed a room. NEVER AGAIN!!

    « Comfortable Hotel »

Staff was friendly and the hotel had a nice indoor and outdoor pool. My daughter liked that. Nice hot breakfast in the morning. The internet connection was good. The hot tub did not work at that time we were there. That was a draw back.

« Great rooms and pool area »

I had an extremely nicely furnished and clean upstairs room with very good A/C. The pool area is nice for a family with indoor and outdoor areas. The staff was very nice. Some rooms have access to the outside and your car if you wish. The lobby was very nice if you are waiting for others. I don't always like hotel pillows, but the bedding and pillows were great and just clean sheets and a light blanket. No heavy bedspread that you don't know when it was cleaned last.

    « Clean but old »

Cons: This hotel has not been renovated in quite some time. Has a retro '80s feel...Popcorn ceilings, Sunbeam hairdryer, some doors to rooms are difficult to close and you can see a slight gap at the top, tile around pool is damaged, check in was lengthy. Pros: breakfast area/food was well maintained, rooms seemed clean, air conditioning was cold, and despite being outdated, the hotel itself looked and smelled clean, front desk staff (?owners) was friendly and helpful. Nice indoor/outdoor pool and racquetball facilities for guests.

    « Horrible place »

My family booked 3 rooms there and it was the worst experience ever. We had to choose between clean towels and clean room. The staff was rude as ever. The rooms were outdated and uncomfortable. Needless to say we won't be back there ever. The only reason we picked that hotel was the pool and basketball court for my kids. Won't make that mistake again.

    « Hellhole »

Checked in app 4 pm. Air in room not on. App. 90 plus outside. Room was hot , hot , hot. Called front desk. Guy said we don't leave air on. Said turn it on , give it about an hour. Would not refund nor compensate. Room finally cool about 8pm. Dead roach in bathroom , a little smaller than a Volkswagen. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HELLHOLE !!!

    « five star »

Very good jhotel, perhaps the best in Greenwood . I highly recommend it and have reservation to stay here in July. Other family members will be staying here as well. have stayed here before and really enjoy the facility and employees. I would recommend putting Citronella oil or scent (mosquito repellant) in the rooms , especially with the new Zika scarel.

    « Cleaning »

These people told me that they have unwritten policies about the time they can clean your room. You must not have a Do No Disturb sign on your door after 8:30 if you want the room cleaned. I took my sigh off at 10:30. This was not written down so I had to change room in order to have a clean place to sleep because the person who does this service had gone home for the day. This was an awful inconvenience.

« Very disappointed in service »

Friends and I recently stayed in the Best Western and arrived about 7pm. I had booked 2 non-smoking rooms months earlier and were disappointed that we were given rooms next to smoking rooms. When we complained, we were told that the only thing that could be done is to have the corridors sprayed with deodorants. The rooms were okay but somewhat dated. The breakfast buffet was good. Would look for better accommodations if ever back in Greenwood.

« Great Stay in Greenwood »

My husband stayed at this hotel 30 years ago. It was a great place to stay then, and it's a great place to stay now. Clean rooms, good hot breakfast in the morning, pleasant helpful staff. Very good experience at this Best Western in Greenwood Mississippi. Desk staff recommended Japanese Steakhouse right next door. Excellent recommendation!

    « Doesn't allow service animals! »

After a long day on the road we arrived in Greenwood & decided to spend the night there before continuing our trip the next morning. Entering town we saw the Best Western & decided it looked nice so we stopped to check the rate. Sharon greeted us & informed us they had rooms available. We told her that one in our party had a service animal. She then told us that no animals were allowed even service animals & that her boss/owner had made that clear. Rather than "get into it" & stay where we were not welcome we told her she should let the owner know that with such a policy he could not only loose his affiliation with Best Western but also open himself up to a lawsuit. So, if you are a veteran or any other person with a service animal, we suggest you travel on down the road to the Comfort Inn & Suites where the boss/owner will welcome you with a smile & open arms. The hotel was new & our stay was great!

    « Great Place »

I always enjoy staying at the Best Western in Greenwood, MS. My husband's cousin live there in the city so we usually visit and attend church meetings there. So, every year, we visit, we use Best Western. The staff are nice and friendly,t he rooms are clean and comfortable. The bed was very good for my husband, who usually have problems with bed comforts at other hotels. Overall it was a great stay at a great place.

    « Unwanted Guest »

We had a late check-in and the older woman behind the counter was so nice and understanding that she game us a room with a balcony. We came around the time of shift change so the guy that relieved her was also helpful in switching our rooms because the air did not work. The bed was huge. We just did not like the added guest (roaches) in the bathroom. The breakfast was nice.

    « Nice Hotel »

Things I like, The view when I walked in the door was an open view with the staircase--- just beautiful....... The manager was talkative and nice...... I had a cart in my hand and a baby and a male employee walked by, stopped what he was doing to assist me....... My room was clean-seal around the toilet, there was a white clean TV remote, the telephone receiver was turned up on the phone (signifying clean), the comforter was white, the towels were thick and white, the TV was a new thin model, I had a clean fridge that was on and working, clean microwave....... I was also given plenty of room supplies... Small things--the carpet could use a little cleaning (little dirt on my footies) and the pool/hot tub was not working. Overall this was a wonderful experience.

    « Nice room; awful night's sleep! »

The absolute WORST pillows EVER. Clean room, nice shower but little consolation for no sleep. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, biscuits (hard), bagels (harder) and toast (hardest), gravy and frozen cheese omelettes in a warmer. There were two cups of yogurt sitting out. They can do better! Wasn't the worst overall Best Western experience but certainly not the best.

    « satisfied return »

Was in town for a church meeting. Also stayed here last yr about same time of year and returned because of last year's experience. Nice greeting when I arrived and shortly after check in rcvd call from front desk to make sure all was good in the room--it was. Room.was clean and comfortable. Felt safe in motel. Very good value for price. Breakfast was acceptable although not necessarily great. If I return to the area would definitely stay here again.

« Good room, not worth the price »

Lets start by saying I come to Greenwood a lot so I've been testing the different hotels. I've learned that this hotel is the same as Deluxe Inn and Suites from the hotel rooms but just more expensive. So, why pay an extra 40$ when you can save it and go dine at a nice place? Thats what I personally think. the rooms are clean, but I personally don't recommend staying there because you're just losing money. The rooms are just like Deluxe Inn and Suites!! So, I would just recommend staying at Deluxe Inn and Suites because its cheaper and the same nice clean rooms.. One thing I did not like about this hotel is the management. Yes, they are professional but NOT THE NICEST. They were rude to my husband when he couldn't understand something he said. OVERALL, I would recommend going to deluxe Inn and suites same nice rooms, better management, and cheaper.

    « Thanksgiving Break »

I usually stay at the Best Western in Greenwood MS when visiting family. This is the birthplace of my parents and first two born siblings. It was my great-aunt 91st birthday and she wanted to go back home for a visit. We travelled to West Point MS to have thanksgiving dinner with family. It was a great visit. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. I do believe they need to update the carpet in some of the rooms. I had water stains on the carpet in our room which resulted in smells. The water pressure for the shower was low. Had to repeatedly go around to front door because, the side and back doors would not allow key room access. Would I stay again at this location, YES. I'm sure they will take care of any and all issues. Nice Staff!

« Nice folks and fairly nice property at a good rate »

The personnel are great and the facility - although older - is neat and clean. The pool area is not crowded and a very nice place to spend an afternoon. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The rates are about $25 a night less than other "acceptable" chains.

    « Just OK... »

The hotel is adequate for getting a good night of sleep. The hours for free breakfast (6AM to 9PM) are not for tired travelers because they are more than likely sleep at those hours or preparing to check-out. The employees are nice but if I put a do not disturb sign on the door it would be nice if they would leave it there! I have been to this location twice but the next time I am in the area I will try a different hotel.

« My 2 Night Stay in Greenwood, MS »

Nice, clean hotel with great service and nice rooms. There are 2 doors in the rooms that face the parking lot, one door to the parking lot and one door to the inside hallway. Just don't answer the outside door if some knucklehead tells you he is SECURITY. That happened to me; I did not open the door; if I had, I probably would have been robbed. THX. LDD

« Would stay here again...... »

My husband and I and another couple, were here on July 30, 2015 for one night. We had rooms next to each other. Very nice and very clean rooms.. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was hot and very tasty.. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet.. I felt very safe and secure....

« Nice facility but need more a/c »

The facility, room, and breakfast were very nice. The rooms are well decorated and clean and have a partition between the bed and the couch/sitting area which would be good for extra guests in the room. The a/c was a little marginal and didn't catch up until late at night.

« Best hotel in Greenwood »

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable rooms, fast wireless. Great value for the money. All of the staff are great, and the owner, Kenny, always goes out of his way to make sure guests have a wonderful stay.

    « A/C Upgrade & Elevator needed! »

Hotel had many amenities but were in poor working order. Pool was not clean, pool area was like a sauna - ceiling fans did not work and Air Conditioning in the hotel Lobby, conference rooms and hallways was out of service (when the outside temp was 100 degrees). Very stuffy and uncomfortable. I had to go to a local store to purchase a fan for the room just to circulate what little cooling the A/C unit was doing. There is no elevator in this hotel so be prepared to haul luggage or bicycles, etc. Breakfast food was all frozen, even the hard boiled eggs!!!
