Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites

I have stayed at this hotel for several years and usually had a good experience. My most recent stay was the worst experience I have ever had and I have travelled all over the U.S. for over 30 years. The first issue was what I was charged. I was overcharged significantly. After an argument they agreed to credit half of the stay. But the worst issue was that after I checked out, I noticed that I had bites on the back of my neck on my finger and arm. I determined that they were probably bed bugs. I called the front desk and they told me to send an e-mail to them which I did an attached pictures. I received an e-mail from the manager stating that they had inspected the room and found no evidence of bedbugs and said that they were going to credit my stay and no longer wanted me as a customer. I and several others had an upcoming reservation to attend the horse races and so I called to discuss the issue and the front desk person said the manager wouldn't be available. I told her to get the manager as I wanted to speak to her. She called me back and basically said I was threatening (which I was not) and that they don't believe the problem was them and was very aggressive and implied that I was the problem. Very bad experience. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Check in very efficient and friendly, rooms comfy. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was not so good being the usual artificial tasteless eggs and greasy bacon, only fresh fruit was apples, thawed frozen strawberries. But it's the usual free breakfast offered by best western. I'd stay here again anyway

The hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast on weekends is available until 10 a.m., which is nice because I got in late and I'm from mountain time zone. I like the location. It is very close to Fonner Park.

Worked well for an early flight out of grand island airport! Centrally located, many restaurants nearby. Quiet, pillows were on the small side but worked. We were out of hotel before breakfast, but had hot coffee at least. Staff were very friendly.

Very pleased with our stay. Clean room with the exception of tops of doors and mirrors etc had been missed and were dusty. Rest of the room was very clean My indoor air quailty meter gave it high marks for good air quality. Bed was comfortable and clean, linens soft. Breakfast was fine. Plenty of food , good variety. Nothing to get super excited about but also nothing bad. Front desk staff was friendly and competent

Very pleasant and helpful at the front desk. Upgraded us and the room was great! Will definitely stay again! We don't often travel to G.I., so wasn't sure where to eat, but the people at the front desk gave us some great suggestions!

How refreshing to walk in to this lovely hotel and see the sign “No Pets”. We travel a lot and have seen previously beautiful hotels completely ruined by pet stains, scratched furniture, odors. We will only stay at hotels with specifically designated pet rooms. Preferably on the ground level, so the rest of us paying guests are not expected to deal with that.

Mary, the nightshift receptionist was extremely RUDE & RACIST. After driving 11 hours from Texas I decided to reserve a room here & get some sleep. Unfortunately that never happened. I only wanted to rest for 4/5 hours but, my reservation wasn't until the following day due to me booking at 12:13am. The moment I walked into the hotel Mary said, "you don't have a reservation here!" No hello, no welcome, no how may I assist you. I replied, "yes, I do" & proceeded to show her my confirmation. Before I could, she stopped me & said, "it's for tomorrow, not tonight." I kindly asked Mary is she could make an adjustment (which I've witnessed other receptionist do before in the pass) & this RUDE, UNWELCOMING, RACIST lady flat out said, "NOPE!” With no regards & no attempt to HELP me. She sat there (because she never even stood up in a professional manner to greet me & handle business with me) with her face frowned until I asked for a refund. Her stern response again was, "NO, I can't help you." The entire encounter was unpleasant. Anytime a person is mean & nasty to you for absolutely no reason clearly HATES you. Though Mary had no reason to hate me, we had just met. #RACIST

I called this hotel to make sure they had availability as I was traveling by myself with my baby and service dog. Upon speaking with the front desk person I informed them I had a service dog and he was very rude and proceeded to question me about my dog. I decided to give them a chance anyway and had my sister who is the manager of a Best Western book me a room with the friends and family rate. I entered the hotel to check in carrying my baby and left my dog in the car. I told them I had a reservation and that I had a service dog. The front desk person told me that I had to walk in with the dog. I proceeded to tell him that my dog was in the car because I didn't want to bring him and the baby in at the same time. I offered to go get the dog to prove that I had a service dog and he said "no, ADA requires you to enter the building with the dog" I had been traveling all day with a cranky baby and all I wanted was to get into my room, I was so mad I told them to cancel my room and I walked out the door. I am very disappointed with how I was treated at that hotel and will not recommend it to anyone. Management please hold your employees to a higher standard.

We are retired and travel a lot. We have selected Best Western as our home away. You can depend on the quality and value. We have attained the Diamond Select status. The rewards program is very worth while. Nice that the points never go away.

We have stayed here several times in the past but due to Covid etc have not done so for several years. We have always enjoyed our stay. Good beds, clean public and private areas. Nice pool. Also a decent breakfast. Thanks to staff also for making it a good stay

We were traveling through from Rocky Mountain National Park and found a clean, comfortable room, comfortable bed, friendly staff. What more can you ask? I will certainly book at this hotel again on the next trip that takes me past Grand Island.

. This is a nice hotel. . The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The staff were all very nice and had good recommendations for restaurants to eat at. I would stay here again if we are in Grand Island.

The bed is like sleeping in your bed at your house room was very clean and a/c was working great no background noise from hall way staff was very approachable my only complaint or need was bacon for breakfast

We loved this hotel. The staff was Awesome and the room was perfect. I usually stay at Holiday Inn Express when we travel. But after staying at this hotel we will now be staying at Best Western Plus hotels.

WARNING!! BE AWARE!! Very disappointed!! Made a reservation for 2 rooms for our employees to stay in. Received email confirmation stating cancelation policy was 4 p.m. the day before arrival. Called at 2 p.m. the day before arrival to cancel one room. Spoke to the manager and she said I would have had to call the day before (2 days before check-in) or that morning. When I said the confirmation policy clearly stated by 4 p.m. the day before the reservation, she said, "we don't follow that policy." Charged the full cost of the extra room. I call BS.

This hotel is fairly new, and the decor is lovely. The full breakfast had lots of options - something for everyone including waffles, eggs, bacon, cereal, bagels, fresh fruit. They even had fruit compotes for the waffles - really nice touches. The mattress was amazing - we did not want to get up in the morning. Wonderful stay, and we will be back.

We stayed at the BW for a week and it was a great experience. The hotel rooms were clean and daily room service was provided. The breakfast was great and staff went out of their way to help us feel welcome.

We were on a road trip from Michigan to Colorado and back. We stayed at multiple hotels along the way, this was by far one of the best. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was great!! We didn't end up using the pool, but it was nice that it was open until 11pm had we not been so tired.

Check in receptionist very rude. Customer service after our basketball games was not anything anyone should experience. We were treated like children that had done something very wrong. Receptionist also tried to tell us our kids did something that they did not do.

We were traveling for a family death and stayed here the beds are super hard but rooms r spacious breakfast was hot but mediocre! We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves seemed pretty clean! Staff was friendly

The Best Western was full of great service from check in to check out. Very clean and full of smiles from front desk to breakfast crew. They were very accommodating all the way. We had a family wedding with a large family and they even remembered names, which is not easy when there are so many together. (And a lot of Smith's even.)

Just say great atmosphere and customer service poolside hut tub was a plus. Room service was immaculate Cheyenne serviced my family and I the entire stay and I must say our stay was much better than expected!!!!!

Hotel itself was fine, very basic and in need of some repair. Rooms still have old style chain locks and no mobile keys. Front desk staff were completely disinterested in their jobs. Manager was defensive and rude when approached with concerns.

Outdated technology and interior, dirty. Even worse customer service. Every encounter with staff was infuriatingly disrespectful. I asked to speak to the manager at check-out and was told she was in a meeting all day (ha). Front desk lady refused to take down my phone number but told me to grab the manager's card myself if I wanted to contact her....I called the number on the business card, and it was a direct line to the lady at the front desk. Lol. Do not stay here. It's a scam for tired travelers.

Nice and well maintained property. Efficient check in and out. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure in the bathroom. Breakfast items were restocked as needed. Great new Mexican restaurant across the street ...

The hotel staff is unfriendly. The hotel does not work with third party reservations and does not honor the third party reservations made and does not try to talk with customers at all. The staff is rude and I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying in grand island or to work with third party people.

We booked two rooms for our last night on our road trip. It was clean and comfy. We enjoyed a late night swim in pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast was sufficient. The beds were comfy. I'm really not sure why when checking in with one attendant the other attendant came up and asked how many people were in each room and if we had any animal. Then he proceeded to tell me it was a smoke free and animal free hotel. I guess he didn't believe what I put down on the reservation when I booked the hotel. Because of this questioning I'll probably shop around at other hotels if I'm ever in the area again. It didn't make me feel very welcome there.

This is a nice place to stay, beds where comfortable & the Rooms were nice. Overall, this is a nice place, and the staff was great. Several restaurants in the area. FYI Motorcyclists you're not allowed to park under the front door canopy.

My wife and I stayed one evening. The room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was a serve yourself buffet style that covered the gamut from egg omelets with cheese, onions and peppers, sausage biscuits n gravy, good coffee, cereal, sausage, waffles, 3 different juices and assorted pastries. we were in and out but noticed a good number of restaurants near the hotel too.

I stopped here again after a 5 year gap in staying here. This was the point in which I decided that I had had enough driving for the day! The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Great service, friendly and helpful staff, clean room and nice breakfast. First time staying here, but will not be my last. Highly recommend this best western plus for a good night stay while traveling.

Picked this hotel while on the road returning from out west vacation. We were not disappointed. The kids enjoyed the pool after 10 hours of being in the car. The room was very nice/beds comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good.

We travel on I-80 frequently and this area is about halfway between our home in MN and our son's in CO. We stayed here since it was a rare trip without our dog so we could stay here. Other than their no pets policy, this is a great place to stay. Front desk personnel were awesome.

I switched my reservation to another person that took my reservation and they ended up charging both of us for the same night after I talked to the General Manager four days earlier. She assured me I would be charge but I was. Tried to call her and she wouldn't return my call to straighten it out

Very nice and classy hotel. Clean rooms with crisp bed sheets and everything seems to be updated. The breakfast could use a few more options... the selection was somewhat slim. Would definitely recommend.

We have been bringing both of our travel softball teams to this hotel for about 4 years and have enjoyed our stay until year. If you plan to come and be in your room by 11pm and do not wish to gather as team then give it a try but we will not be bringing our team to this hotel ever again. We try to stay at eh same hotel chain to earn rewards for traveling. We will be picking another chain. In all the reviews the GM has said we reviewed the tapes and what you are saying is not true. However, I can very much tell you that the things stated are true. You are not allowed to gather in the lobby or sit in the breakfast area. My kids wanted to play cards and were told to leave the breakfast area and go to bed. The went out to get ice at around 11:30pm and were told they had to go back to their room and they could get ice in the morning. We tried to fill a small cooler- lunch sized cooler and were told, “ can't you read the sign?” You are not allowed to fill coolers. They were told that the ice machine is old and it can't keep up so you can only fill water bottles. Well, buy a new one. So the post by Mattand kama is correct and the GM is not telling the truth. Which is a convenient way for her to explain the complaint away because you do not get a chance to respond back to her. When asked where we could all hang out we were told to go to our rooms. The first night they did let us use a conference room to make the team bags but were kicked out promptly at 11pm. They keep stating they are protecting all their guests. Which is fine but they need to advertise that they are not team friendly. Mind you this was a 10u travel team so the kids did go to bed early and we're not running around making a ton of noise. The parents are a great group and caused no trouble. They just want to sit around a talk and have a couple drinks. They are not the type to get rowdy. I mean I don't even drink but would have liked to sit around and talk with the other parents. Instead, as an adult, I was instructed to go to bed. No parts of the hotel are available to guests after 11pm except your room. The rooms are small and would not accommodate or be comfortable for More than maybe 5 adults. The hotel is clean but the breakfast was horrible. The last 4 years this hotel was full of other softball and baseball teams but this year we seemed to be the only one. Looks like other teams are also choosing to stay elsewhere. This is sad for as we have been loyal to this hotel and have been on a first name basis with many of the staff. They remember us and had been very friendly. What a shame to become so hung up in the “rules” that you lose sight of what your guests are wanting. A lot of teams come to this area with state softball held here every year. They also hosts huge tournament around Memorial Day, along with many others thought the year. You would think you would find a away to accommodate the type of clientele that frequent your hotel. Perhaps you need to talk to corporate about adding on or to get ideas on how to make the stay memorable for they type of people you want to attract. If sports teams are not what you want then do not offer group bookings for sports teams.

The people at the front desk made everyone go back to their rooms at 10:15. No one was allowed to socialize in the lobby or in the breakfast area. We were a group of 40-something softball parents, so there would not have been any loud, out-of-control people. My 16-year old was told that she couldn't get ice in her cup and that she would have to get it in the morning (she was quietly trying to get some in her cup for overnight). She was also told that she couldn't use the public restroom and that she had to go back to her room to use the restroom. My husband was in the shower, so she didn't have that option and she had to go badly, so I'm pretty mad about that. Some parents from our team got their alcohol confiscated. Yes, grown adults had their expensive drinks taken from them. They brought drinks into the pool, which they shouldn't have, but I've never heard of anyone actually having something taken away by another adult. My husband also got yelled at, because he tried to get some ice in our cooler. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't let you get more than the little bucket of ice they provide. Part of the fun of getting a hotel for softball tournaments is hanging out with other families and that was taken from us. We will absolutely never stay here again!

Black Mold all over in our Shower. Complained to the front desk and was told that the house keeping was 5 Star and so they couldnt believe it. I took pictures of it as it was all over the shower bars, soap dispenser and the adjustable shower head. I told them I wanted it cleaned up. They sent someone up who did a 25% better then it was. Asked to have a room compensated as I went to Walmart myself and got cleaning supplies to clean the shower and I was denied. WILL NOT RECOMMEND

Service and staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Rooms, lobby, common areas were clean and tidy. Breakfast was quick, well organized, and efficient for those who had to grab breakfast and head out quickly. Internet service was good as well.

Excellent value for the area - or for anywhere else for that matter! cCean and comfy room with all amenities, hot and cold breakfast, plenty of parking - I'm not sure we could have asked for anything more. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area.

The hotel was very nice over all. There were a few hairs in the shower that grossed me out a little. Other than that it was a nice hotel. The breakfast was good. The lady who checked us in that evening was very nice. I would stay there again.

Was "upgraded" to a suite next to elevator that was very loud. Then morning comes and early the housekeeping staff are yelling from one end of the hallway to the other at each other; zero courtesy for the guests that came in late are still sleeping

Very nice facilities and friendly staff. Breakfast was good and we were traveling for business during a very busy weekend and they still made everything great for us. We had a truck and 40 foot trailer and no problem parking the rig.

The entire hotel was very clean. The staff were excellent & helped with suggestions to enhance our trip in Grand Island. Hotel is located in a great spot & is a short drive to restaurants & other local attractions.

Ants in the room, Internet weak at best. The big kicker is not being able to get a hard copy at check out and then not receiving an email copy and having to call back and then not receiving one. That is why a simple hard copy is needed at check out.

It has a nice pillow top on the bed which made it feel good to sleep. The pool was heated and that felt wonderful after a long day of driving. They hot tub was great. The service was good. The breakfast was amazing, they had omelettes which tasted fantastic. I would go there again.

This hotel was very clean, comfy beds, new looking furniture, friendly staff. The breakfast area has a good selection, and the made to order fried eggs was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast lady was so sweet and friendly, and kept the area top notch clean.

My family and I have used this hotel multiple times. Lots of options nearby for food. Walmart close. Rooms are spacious so you wont feel like your crammed in a tiny room. Beds are comfy. We have never had any issues.

I booked a room with my rewards points to visit family. Called the hotel to make sure everything was set and as a courtesy I told them I use a service dog. They took it upon themselves to say my dog isn't a service dog over the phone (which he absolutely is a service dog). I advised he is for severe anxiety and alerts me to seizures and he performs deep pressure therapy among other tasks. Called corporate and they did nothing... neither did the manager of the local hotel even though they broke a federal law! Put in a complaint with the ADA and am getting a lawyer. Don't waste your money and time by staying here! Especially if you have any disabilities!

This hotel is located near to many shopping, dining, and refueling options. It is also a short drive into town from I-80. Those were the attractions for us when we stopped in on a bad weather night in Central Nebraska. Once there, we found this hotel to be a quality stay. Our room was clean, very comfortable (especially the beds), and quiet. The breakfast served was hot and fresh, which is uncommon in our current grab and go world. We make trips through this area multiple times each year. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

First impressions was a warm and comfortable hotel. The suite was very spacious and clean. The breakfast with hot and cold food items made everyone happy, with several drink options, even the coffee was tasty.

This is a repeat stay at Grand Island Best Western. One of my favorite locations as they keep their rooms/property well maintained. The location has Scooters and loved our experience at Texas T-Bone...great restaurant close by. Workout facility did not have free weights, but their exercise equipment was in good condition. Again, Best Western Plus in Grand Island did not disappoint!

I have spent an incredible amount of time in Best Western properties. Traveling for business and pleasure. BW hits the sweet spot between “Bargain” chains, or “Glitzy hotels, and introduced the free breakfast that caused their peers to play catch-up

This is a new hotel and was built with doors that are hard to close quietly and lacking insulation. We could hear our neighbors talking. But other than that, this was a good stay. I had asked for a quiet room and we were given one on the end on the top floor. The pool and hot tub were in good order with fresh towels. Front desk staff quite friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fine. I'd stay here again.

Very clean and well run Front desk extremely helpful and friendly We had an issue with our reservation and they went out of their way for Sort it out. Great customer service Second time staying here on trip to and from Denver to Chicago Good breakfast too

Oh my goodness, probably one of the best Best Westerns we have stayed in. I would highly recommend staying here. We came in the back way on 81 to 34 and at the time, Grand Island, had some street construction. It was still easy to find; although a bit off I-80. Very quiet.

Spent the week in Grand Island for Husker Harvest Days. The team at the local Best Western are very helpful and keep a clean and modern hotel. The swimming pool is nice, cool and long enough for short laps and the workout room is clean and up-to-date The complimentary breakfast has good choices for all diets and the wifi is fast enough for most work needs.

We are all a little nervous about coming back to the hotel/travel experience. This Best Western Plus was very clean and orderly. I used the fitness room and pool and felt very secure. Breakfast was very good with many options. I would stay there again.

I do like best western, but when checking in, the staff changed the rate (increased $14, which I know isn't much but it's the principle of the thing) after asking if we were on orders (we weren't). They didn't even ask me directly or tell me directly that the rate had changed, AFTER I had already checked in and paid with my credit card. To be honest I was pretty furious, but after a long day of driving with small children I didn't feel like picking a fight. I will think twice about staying here again if they are going to treat guests this way, raising the rate without telling them at checkin. Disappointed.

This BW must be an older one, for it's mobility assist rooms were nice though toilets too low (14.5") for someone without assistance to get up even utilizing grab bar. Need to revamp rooms to put shower seats in, better shower head and handhelds too. The room otherwise were impeccably clean/sanitized, beds comfortable, and good height for handicap individuals to get in/out of . Continental Breakfast tasty items, warm food, staff conscientious of cleaning consistently when guest entering/departing service area. Only problem, front desk staff member needs to believe guest when coming with a reservation confirmation on a joint spouse BW account, instead of making them call there other spouse to confirm , as if it's betrayal. Not good business practices.

This motel is a great value for government travel. It is consistently good with clean comfortable rooms and good amenities. The location is excellent and is close to everything in Grand Island. I recommend it to anyone traveling for business or pleasure.

The Best Western Plus did not disappoint. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a funeral in Grand Island. The hotel was convenient and very nicely appointed. It was nice on the exterior (especially as we drove by other hotels coming in...we were getting a bit nervous). The staff was very friendly, the lobby very clean and inviting. The room was very large, very comfortable. The A/C worked well. Breakfast was very good, surprisingly so! I have no complaints at all. Would choose this hotel again and will recommend.

We stayed for 5 nights for a competitive event with my son. Everything was clean and in good order. Internet was typically slow for hotel internet (heavy use by guests likely). The breakfast was really good, easily the best free hotel breakfast I've experienced. Hearty hot breakfast options (biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage or bacon depending upon day) were kept stocked through the morning plus the usual cold breakfast offerings. The back door lock broke while we were there but the hotel also had it repaired before we left which was pretty timely and bodes well for overall upkeep.

Cleanest hotel we stayed at over our 2 week vacation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our king room had nice decor and it was comfortable. We were greeted and thanked for being a rewards member and were asked if we had eaten dinner. We hadn't so a restaurant was suggested that was close enough to walk to.

This hotel was clean updated and nicely appointed. The guest services staff were helpful and friendly. The room was well maintained only lacking ethernet but they did provide password protected WiFi. Add to that a hardy breakfast and you get an A+.

Save your time and stay somewhere else. Were stingy with towels, no congregating in lobby or areas, walls are paper thin, no A/C in fitness room. For one night, wouldn't be bad but don't recommend for multiple nights.

Multiple families stayed here for sports tournament, staff unfriendly, not welcoming or helpful. There was nowhere for families to congregate for dinner, no space for gathering. Very strict on no liquid of any kind in pool area, I was one of 3 adults in pool area watching kids swim & only one with a bottle of water, employee came in just to tell me I had to take it out of there. Asked for towels for 10 kids in pool & was told I could only have enough for my own kids. Unfriendly staff

The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. It happened to be our 35th anniversary and they recommended a great place to eat and mention we were staying here and receive a 10% discount. The shower was very nice with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The room was very quiet, even though we had noisy neighbors, we couldn't hear them in our room next door. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was better in the past. We stay here every year for a sporting event. As the years go bye the hotel is more and more run down. I would like to see them spend some effort to correct issues in the guest rooms, plumbing seems to be a common problem in the rooms.

Beautiful decor, friendly check in staff. Good breakfast. We checked in late after a long day of driving through rain from Denver. Did not want to drive to dinner. Front desk staff were extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions and local transporation.

We had an unfortunate event occur to us while traveling through NE. We had to find a last minute night stay. We were so happy with The Best Western. We had a wonderful stay, it was clean and friendly. The staff were kind and helpful.

What a good location with great staff. The breakfast was hot and the area clean and well taken care of. The pool area was clean and stocked well with towels. From making our reservation to checking in and out, everything was friendly and professional! All was perfect for our couple days away!

Noise and unsanitary. Kleenex was saturated like it was dropped in toilet and put back on counter. The box and Kleenex were soaking wet. Loud people all night. Sounded like they were drinking with filthy language.

Overall the hotel is clean, updated and has a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative is that you can hear everything through the walls. Would suggest bringing noise cancellation or a fan to drown out your neighbors conversations.

Beware! This is a three story hotel that has no one staying there with one rude Armando working the entire place. No one there but they make you park at hotel behind them .Will not be kind or helpful in any way! Hotel was dirty trash around the outside parking lot & nothing nearby to eat or play. There is no internet available in the entire town.

I don't remember the name of the gentleman who helped check us in at 9pm, but I won't forget the friendly attitude, care and the conversation we struck up during check-in. A great experience, thank you.

After reading reviews of this Best Western, I chose it for a one-night stopover on our way home. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It had all the amenities of a higher-prices hotel, including a hot breakfast, wi-fi, coffee in the room, a two-piece bath, and a comfortable king-sized bed. The location, off of I-80, was a quick, two-mile trip (at 65 miles per hour). The hotel was right on the same street- easy to find. It was easy off, easy on. The desk clerk was personable and competent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs good accommodations at a very reasonable price.

This facility is very clean. The Staff is courteous, caring, responsive and interested in the customer. Would recommend to both business and leisure travelers. Very comfortable to me as a single older woman.

Clean, nice and hot breakfast. Cant ask for more. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Went for a softball tournament, the hotel is located near a ton of restaurants. Only complaint is the breakfast could have been better. Not many vegetarian options, and coffee bar needs lots of work...more creamers, more flavor options??

This hotel feels like it is a newer BW Plus. It was very quiet the night we stayed. We did not eat breakfast as we were on the road early. Kent at the front desk was very helpful and made us feel very welcomed. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through NE.

Best Western staff were very helpful and my room was great! The location was close to where I needed to be for work. Check in and out went smoothly. Overall it was nice and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Grand Island area.

Stopped here after leaving South Dakota on way back to Indiana. Taylor at the front desk gave great dinner recommendation and checked to see how we liked it on our return. Best part was two days after I got home I received a Thank You note from the front desk thanking me for choosing Best Western and asking me to come again next time we're traveling through! Great service and follow up.

With 10 other hotels to choose from in this town, unfortunately, this one was just mediocre. I thought the price was high for the value. Rooms were dated and the bed was uncomfortable. There was no coffee made at 9:45 am.

Had a very comfortable stay. Bed and pillows were very comfortable to sleep on. Room and bathroom was clean. The desk clerk was professional and businesslike, not particularly friendly, but certainly not rude. The dining area appeared to be nicely maintained. Lobby and halls were clean. The maids were outstanding.

Horrible experience at this hotel. Front Desk personnel are insulting, not very knowledgable, will talk down to you, and could care less about customer service. Even though they're right next door to a Harley-Davidson dealer, they owner and front desk folks have a horrible attitude towards bikers. And then you also have to deal with the noise of motorcycles first thing in the morning. Hotel promised a hot breakfast which was nothing more than biscuts and gravy. Very Misleading!! There's many hotels in the area. Skip this one. You'll be happy you did.

We stayed at this property while returning from a road trip to Colorado. This property is in the city of Grand Island so requires a drive about 5 miles off the interstate. The property is slightly dated, but clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the indoor pool was a bit larger than is normally the case in newer hotel pools. It was longer and more narrow so was good to swim some short laps. The rooms were definitely not soundproof as we could hear the conversation of people in the next room even though they were using a normal volume! Also could hear the steps of the people above us. That being said, neither disturbed our sleep and the rooms are situated so that there is no street noise. The room has plenty of lamps, but pretty dim bulbs so things seemed dark along with the dark carpeting. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. We stayed during CoVid so the breakfast menus were on the tables and we marked our choices which were delivered by the breakfast attendant. We appreciated that the staff was trying to make the breakfast as nice as possible. At another hotel in town that we called, their breakfast consisted of a granola bar and piece of fruit in a paper bag! So thank you for doing the best you could! All in all this was a good place for an overnight stop.

Stayed here one night while passing through on I80. Honestly if your out on 80 this is too far off the highway. The room was nice, big, clean etc.. They serve a breakfast although the menu is quite limited. Staff was friendly and rooms are inexpensive.

This was a very welcoming hotel. It was refreshing to be received and treated as close to before Covid as you can get. They served a real breakfast! Not the new grab and go that you regularly receive. Definitely stop here. The hot tub was a plus for us after a long day.

It was not the greatest Best Western Plus we have stayed at. I am not usually a negative reviewer, but maybe my expectations were high because we had just stayed at BW in NE and it was fantastic. For this one, I called ahead to make a reservation and they said they would call me back....30 minutes later I called again and they said they were just about to call me back. Hmmm. When we arrived, kids were running down the hall and yelling in front of our room (which was near the front desk) and no one seemed inclined to intervene. There was a problem with the plumbing in our room where the shower and sink didn't drain properly. Breakfast was not great...I know it's the pandemic, but they offered bagels on the menu and when they brought it out it was cold. I asked if they could toast it and they said they had no toaster. Plus side - the hotel was very clean and I didn't hear any noise at all from other guests after 10 pm.

Great staff that has a wonderful attitude. Everyone was willing to help at all times. Had a small issue with the room I was given when I arrived and the desk staff swapped my room immediately. The room was spacious, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The Bathroom was spacious and easy to maneuver. COVID 19 had the breakfast set up diner style, good idea. The conference room worked well for my needs and all went well. The pool was clean and a good temperature. The hot tub was hot. It was either the weather, or simply too hot, or even me? Will visit again.

We were on our way home from AZ. I am in a wheelchair for 6 to 8 weeks. I searched for accessible rooms and other than being on the 3rd floor this was a perfect hotel I've learned automatic doors are my friend. Large attractive lobby, efficient clerk, room was easy to navigate and the shower chair allows me to shower. Comfortable bed and pillows. Because of the Covid 19 virus we brought our own food. There was a bit of outside noise but we still slept well. I have already told my friends who also have to make the trip back home, about the great service, price, location, and comfort of this hotel.!

My wife and I were desperately trying to get back to our home in Illinois. We were running from the Coronavirus and a morning earthquake in Salt Lake City. We arrived at the hotel on a rainy night around 10;00 PM and had been driving all day. This hotel was outstanding! I cannot say enough about the service that was provided to us. We were upgraded to a King Suite with no extra charge. I imagine because we looked so frazzled at check in. I wish I could give this place 6 stars.

had a very pleasurable stay while visiting Grand Island, the pool and hot there very relaxing and always clean. The bed in my room was a little broke down but the room itself was very clean and spacious.I Exercise room was great with the exception of one minor incident with a staff member running my nephews out because of age(even tho they were chaperoned with an adult, know the age of who is allowed in). We did have a staff member enter the room with a do not disturb sign placed on door (due to corona virus and not wanting toilet paper taken I guess). Do not disturb means do not disturb no matter what. Other then that I definitely would recommend this hotel and would stay again. First few nights there was very quiet , thought I was there by myself , last few nights could hear doors slamming up and down the hallway, some people don't know how to close doors quietly in guessing. Breakfast had a very good choice and was delicious and very easily accessible. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

We stayed at this hotel when we were traveling home from the west coast. When we arrived we noted that the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Our room was very clean and comfortable. They have a full breakfast buffet in the morning. Absolutely no negative things to say about this hotel... Excellent place to stay...

Nice hotel. Was warmly greeted when I arrived. The lobby was clean and easy to maneuver. The room was plenty spacious. Bed was quite comfortable!!! Bathroom was spacious, with a nice BIG shower. Employees were available anytime I walked near the front desk. Conference room worked well for our purposes. The staff could not unlock the conference room door because of the electronic locks. Used a door stopper. Breakfast was plentiful. It had your average items, nothing too special. The Hostess running the breakfast was nice. The seating filled quickly.

I visited a Best Western in Nebraska for work. I was extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of options, was fully stocked, and was clean.

If you like the sound of doors slamming all night stay here! The times I stayed here I had neighbors on each side of me. I assume the people that left positive reviews didn't. I was here a couple weeks ago and I couldn't believe all the doors are missing a soft door closer. What they do have are springs in the hinges that slam the doors shut! I had to stay here again this time on a different floor. They had more customers this time and I was constantly hearing doors slamming shut because they don't have quiet door closers like every other hotel. You just can't get away from the noise of these doors. It's an important part of a hotel that this place is missing just so they could save a few dollars on each room. Then charge you a ridiculous rate.

Came to GI to visit family. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is great. Eat at Pam's Pub if you get a chance. Breakfast was very nice with good variety. Everything was clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would highly recommend it. We were even allowed to use a conference room for lunch for a large family during football.

Karla, Kent and Tony could not have been more accomdating to us while we were there. Excellent and friendly customer service. Breakfast area was always clean and amply options were available. Nothing was ever an issue or a problem. Great team work!

We were very pleased with the hotel and our room. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The only drawback we have is this : We were in Grand Island to visit our grandchildren. We asked if we could let them swim in the pool under our supervision and the reply was "No, the pool is for guests only". Needless to say, the grandkids was our only reason for being in Grand Island, and to not let us take them swimming was a down fall. Although we were completely happy with the motel, the room and the breakfast, we probably won't stay at this particular motel next time for that reason.

Great place to stay. Very up to date, comfortable, quiet, and clean. Continental breakfast, truck parking. The night clerk who checked me in was very helpful and accommodating, and the beds were very comfy.

We encountered icy weather on our way home and had to hole-up for the night. Couldn't have asked for a better place....clean, friendly/helpful staff, wonderfully comfortable beds & pillows. Reasonably quiet although the walls are thin. No problems with noise after 10pm. Amazing variety of food for the free breakfast.

Overnight stay. Great breakfast plenty of choices to choose from. Room was clean. Pillows are very small not great. Bring your own. The hotel was convenient to us because of the highway we were on. It was easy off and easy on.

We were detoured from I-80 and this worked perfectly off the Alternate I-80. Grand Island is undergoing a bunch of development too - so it is a few miles up on Locust - It is a nice clean hotel with a variety of options for breakfast and it was very quiet. We usually stay in at hotels closer to I-80 but we'd stay here again

Beds and pillows very comfortable and our stay was wonderful. The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and I especially liked the orange juice. Coffee was not really very good but was okay. Our shower was great; as hot as you could possibly want it and good strong water pressure. We definitely would go back!

One of the better Best Westerns we have stayed in. Good room and a good bed. The breakfast area was neat and clean and well stocked. We will stay here again. The check in process was very easy and I was given the room requested. There were plenty of restaurants in the area so selection was easy.

A great stay! Stayed at this hotel for a week during Husker Harvest Days. Very welcoming staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, lots of breakfast options, and great coffee! Highly reccomend and will stay anytime I am in Grand Isalnd.

This hotel has the worst beds. Literally has sink holes in them. We were traveling with friends and couldn't even socialize or play cards in the common breakfast area at 6 in the evening. It said no one allowed.

The room was fairly quiet and I had no trouble getting a good sleep. When I noted the sag in the mattress, I had my doubts, though. The bathroom showed several examples of deferred or inadequate maintenance. The hallways had not been adequately cleaned in some time. The breakfast was greasy but adequate and, as is so often the case, accompanied by a blaring TV set, to the extent that I needed to eat in the lobby. Not a bad facility overall, and centrally located, but my observation is that management is not running a tight ship.

Speedy check in and check out Clean comfortable room only suggestion would be bigger pillows. Throw pillows belong on couches not beds. Awesome complimentary breakfast over 20 items hot and fresh. I will stay again when in area

Booked online same day as my stay for a very competitive rate. Glad I did! Five minute drive from I-80, and worth the time. Seemed fairly new. The desk clerk was rather stressed out after the big storm (84 mph winds) that had blown through earlier, but he still was attentive to my requests. In fact, it was the first time I've been able to score a room upgrade as a BW yada-yada member. Our “suite” was spacious (except the bathroom), clean and comfy. AC was cool and (mostly) quiet. Plenty of shower water pressure and hot water, too. Typical (for BW) annoyingly small and scratchy towels (I don't know why they choose to cheap out here). I never care for rooms next to the elevator, but I compromised to receive the upgrade, and it wasn't as noisy as expected. Breakfast was typically unoriginal, and tea options limited to a generic black. Grand Island guests would benefit greatly from this hotel's ownership/management checking out how breakfast is done at the Fort Morgan BW! Still, the stay was a good one and MUCH less expensive than the nearby Hampton and Fairfield Inns. That's two good BW Plus stays in a row for me. I'm liking this “new” Plus concept! And that's saying a lot from a Hilton Honors Gold member who's accustomed to the consistency I receive from the Hilton chain.

We had a wonderful night sleep at this hotel during a road trip across the country. The hotel is modern and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern.The breakfast area is small; a sign offered gluten free items, but upon request I was informed that they were out of the cereal and bread that were gf.

Although the bed was not firm enough, the room itself and amenities were terrific. The bath towels, and linen felt comfortable. The pillows were plentiful, but small. Nevertheless, it was a great go-to location, and I do recommend it for an overnight or more stay.

This BW is a very nice one, as all are. We got there when there was a horse show going on but Tony at the front desk found one last available room, a suite and gave us a small discount. Thank goodness as it was very late. He was so helpful and the room was really nice, as was their breakfast. It was a bit more than we like to pay per night but well worth it and the staff there are excellent - so helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised from start to finish. From Kent who made our reservation to checking out the next morning. The room was spacious (a little noisy) and the pool was much the same (very noisy) but nice and warm.The bed was comfy but a bit hollowed out in the center. Great pillows and breakfast. Very clean too. Definitely would stay here again.

In the middle of moving west, I stopped for the night in Grand Island. The employee at the front desk was very helpful and even gave me a few recommendations for where to get dinner. My room was nice and clean and there were so many channels on the TV. That was a nice surprise. I appreciated the black out curtains as I got ready for bed while the sun was still up. The free breakfast had lots of options, including Nutella, which I haven't seen at any hotel I've stayed at. If I'm ever in Grand Island again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

What an absolute surprise. Really glad we landed here for the night after a long day driving. Joan at the front desk was fantastic. She was so welcoming and helpful. Put us right at ease. The hotel lobby, the rooms and dining area had an unexpected elegant feel. Bed was so comfortable, we had a solid night sleep. Hotel is a few miles off Interstate, but it's a clean shot up the road. Easy in and out. We would recommend to all.

As we passed through grand island we stayed at the BW plus. It was a very nice stay. The concierge service was professional and really kind. The room was a good size and clean. And the breakfast was good - it's a hot breakfast with scramble eggs and a waffle or pancake station. This is a good place to stop for the night.

This was our last stop on a big road trip. I have never stayed at a Best Western Plus, and I was unsure what to expect. The location fit our needs, so I decided to give it a try. Pros: The swimming pool area was beautiful, and actually WARM enough for my entire family to enjoy pool time! That was refreshing. The hot tub was lovely as well, and we enjoyed our morning swim after many long hours of driving. Breakfast had waffles and hot food choices, and they mostly kept up with crowds in the morning. Cons: I'm not sure why, but the AC/cooling system seemed louder than necessary, and I woke up every time it turned on. Beds were too stiff for my liking. The biggest con for me is that I TRULY dislike and don't trust hotel bedspreads, especially darker colored blankets and patterns that take me back 30 years. In this day and age, hotels should stick with WHITE, easily washable linens for bedding, and definitely stay away from colored comforters or ANY heavy bedding that I'm not sure was cleaned before I arrive. I don't trust bedspreads, and this is a big strike when I walk into a hotel room.

We have really enjoyed the new direction BW seems to be going. Clean, well appointed rooms, with a real thermostat on a wall. Not attached to the window unit. The lady at the front counter was genuine and helpful. We ended up at a local BBQ at her recommendation. It was delicious! We asked for a non-smoking room. It was truly non-smoking! A very comfortable bed, good breakfast, and great service!

When traveling, you expect good stuff from best western plus hotels but you never know. This was one of the better ones to be sure. Stay here. You'll love it. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Bob & Dar

If you are traveling with a child, I do not recommend staying here at all. Nor will we ever be staying here again. We checked in last night after reserving a room online that stated it was an accessibility room with a tub & shower combo. (Our only other option was a room with a shower only, which will not work for bathing out 2 year old.) I made sure in the additional comments & requests section to state that we needed a tub in our room as well. Our room has only a shower. We immediately returned to the front desk to be told that we did not request or book a room that had a tub. Then we were told we couldn't be accommodated and switched to another room. Then we were told if we left the hotel we would still be charged for our entire room and stay. The lady at the front desk (Mary) then informed us that we should be able to shower with our 2 year old because that's the only way she bathed her child anyway. Which would be great if our son didn't have some sensory issues that we are slowly working on & made us feel horribly "parent shamed." She also stated it was our fault our request wasn't accommodated because we didn't arrive sooner at the hotel, which is ridiculous because it's a 24 hour check in. After we told her this wasn't an option for us, she then informed us that we should just take our 2 year old swimming in the pool because then "he'd be a little clean." Very disappointed that we are paying $140/night for a room we did not reserve & did not request. I'd also like to add that when we checked out this morning (Sunday) the front desk staff asked my husband how our stay had been, to which he replied "definitely not great." The front desk staff then said, "ok." And asked how we would like our receipt for the room. That's it.

The Best Western Plus Grand Island was a very nice hotel. The room was very roomy with an excellent air conditioner and great shower. The staff was very accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding with a very nice selection of hot and cold items. A nice place to stay.

We were in town for the 4H Nationals Shooting match. Hotel was completely full. Staff was well prepared and treated us all very well. I highly recommend the Best Western in Grand Island Nebraska. Would love to return for the Nebraska State Fair.

Enjoyed the BestWestern Plus in Grand Island. Easy to the Interstate and very conveinent to the downtown. Far better free breakfast buffet than most. Great shower in our upgraded room and a comfortable lobby area.

This must be a newer hotel! It was very clean and beautiful! I love the enrty way and the georgeous aspen tree print on the wall! It made me feel like I was at home! Our room was lavish and for the price we were very pleased!!

We like this place because it is neat and clean with a friendly, competent staff along with a great breakfast. It is well located to the various spots one might venture to. It causes us to stop annually on our trips from the west to the mid west.

Excelent room, great service, very clean. The free breakfast was restaurant quality and the coffee was very good. We had been driveing all day and were very tired and in need of a good nights sleep. Joan at the front desk set us up with a great room that more than satisfied our needs. I was a little hesitant to stay at a Best Western because in the past they haven't been all that good. This one definatly changed my opinion.

Eat breakfast out if you want decent food and coffee. Location ok and room ok, but HVAC had defective fan bushing which made it very noisy. Shower water temperature and pressure were very good. Staff were pleasant.

In typical Best Western fashion, my stay at this hotel was very comfortable, relaxing and restful. Again, the bed and linens were very comfortable and pleasing. The room was clean and nothing was amiss. Enjoyed every minute of my stay here. Staff very courteous, respectful and pleasing to interact with. Our experience was awful, multiple kids from our group got sick (vomited and coughing profusely) in the pool room due to chlorine. They do not allow groups to gather. Front desk guy was inappropriate. He offered to bring us cleaning supplies so we could clean our own room in order to eat with other families from our group.

My husband and I had a perfect stay at this Best Western Plus hotel. The reception clerk went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He suggested places for dinner and later on asked us how our room was. The room was spotless. After a hot shower we had a quiet night's sleep. Breakfast had many choices and was tasty.

I booked this hotel because it was very close to an event I was emceeing in my old home town, and it was very pleasant! i even had to stay an extra night because of a bad snow storm, and they accomadated me easily. The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly.

we pulled off of 1-80 the roads were icy, got a room at the best western plus the people at the front desk were very accommodating gave us good tips for dinner and couldn't be more helpful. it was a very nice stay, the room was nice and a nice pool

We look but best places to stay in GI - this was rated very high. After checking in we got to our room and unloaded after a long day. it was almost 11:00 and we just wanted/needed to sleep. We pulled the blankets back and the beds looked like they were just slept in, tons of hair on the sheets, went to look in the restroom NASTY as well. called the front desk - they quickly moved us to another room.... sheets looked clean and so she left and we went to get settled and see the lamp shad is ripped, full of spots inside the shade, phone was full of nasty sticky stuff, who knows what. and it was just not clean. So we checked out. Interesting letter in the mail today... thank you for staying with them and hope we return???? WTH

Because I-80 was becoming increasingly icy, I pulled off at Grand Island and had the good fortune to find this hotel. It was wonderful. The staff was most welcoming and quite efficient. The lobby had a fireplace burning brightly. After a long day of driving in less than desirable conditions, this hotel was an oasis in a cold, awful day. My room on the ground floor was perfect. It had sufficient plug-ins for electronic equipment and the lighting was excellent. But, the best was yet to come. Breakfast. They have a yogurt machine. I had never seen one before. The output was tasty and the toppings were nice. I was quite pleased and have a plan to return to this hotel for some horse racing at Fonner Park in the spring.

Our shower had a bug and a lot of hair in it. Our room was right next to the lobby and extremely loud the following morning. Check in was extremely difficult. The staff wasn't sure how to use my points and kept trying to authorize my card by putting a hold on it. Check out went the following morning went smoothly.

We left Rochester MN this morning and by the time we reached Grand Island NE we were too tired to drive further. Susan at the desk made us feel so welcome! She recommended Texas Roadhouse for supper and it was delicious! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub bubbled the aches away. Our room was spotless and had 2 very comfy queen beds, coffee pot, fridge, microwave. There's a nice desk and rolling chair plus a barrel shaped chair to sit on. Convenient plugs between beds for cell phones. I highly recommend lodging here. A big thanks to Susan for being so kind!!!

Rooms were clean overall motel exterior and interior was clean. Pool and hot tub was clean. Breakfast was enough to fill you up and room where breakfast was served was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

We were on our way to Fort Collins when we had a tire problem with our rental car on the way. We were looking for a place to stay overnight in Grand Island, NE. When I called the BW, Kent the manager on duty was checking in another guest and agreed to call me back. A few minutes later, he did as promised. We were able to get a room at a lower price that we found on the internet. Kent was a very friendly, and helpful, even recommended a good restaurant across the street. I would definitely stay there again!

Over the years, we have stopped overnight in Grand Island, Nebraska, while coming from and going to Denver, Colorado, as part of a vacation trip to the Rocky Mountains, the Northwest and the Southwest. So here we are again, at the Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites, a three-star hotel with 80 rooms and a free, hot breakfast. Located at 2707 South Locust Street, it offers a lot of affordable comfort after a long and exhausting day of driving from Denver. My wife is happy because Best Western offers a guest laundry, same day dry cleaning and an iron and ironing board, all necessities for weary travelers. We booked a room with a king-size bed, 37-inch TV, microwave, refrigerator and coffee/tea maker. A comfortable bed and a good shower...what more can a tired guy ask for? Sure, a hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, fruit and orange juice. And we're off to Chicago.

Horrible management and terrible customer service. The manager told us we didn't have a reservation for Saturday night. I knew we did but we left during the event (clear across town) to come get our stuff and on the way back she called with no empathy and didn't even apologize until she realized I was very upset.

I stay at this Hotel about once a month and it's always clean with a pleasant staff. Breakfast is nothing extraordinary but is definitely not bad and much better than most free breakfast in the region. One of my favorite things is the iced coffee machine because it is delicious!

Our room at the Best Western Plus was very nice. The beds were very comfortable, and everything was clean. The breakfast was decent--good, by hotel breakfast standards--and the staff was professional and helpful. Overall, very satisfactory.

We were only minutes from Fonner Park. Rooms were clean and beds were great to sleep in! Hotel Staff - very pleasant! Breakfast was awesome!!! Great hotel for a reasonable price! I would highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was average overall, but seemed clean. I believe the hotel was very full with business travelers the night I stayed. It seemed quiet and I slept well. Not my first choice, but would stay again.

We spent two night at the Grand Island Nebraska Best Western Plus. It was a nice place - used the hot tub; good hot breakfast (with BACON). Price may be a little high, but with the State Fair going on, we were glad to have a place

We have been on a cross-country road trip, and this was the third Best Western where we've stayed. Overall a good value -- room was clean, service at the front desk was professional -- but I wouldn't rate it as highly as the others. Beds were a bit too soft for our tastes, and the breakfast was uninspired compared to other BW's (mediocre coffee; cereal was stale; ...). But I would stay here again if the price is right.

Overall this hotel is a great value in the area. I have stayed at numerous hotels in Grand Island and would recommend the Best Western as the best value. The hotel is clean and quiet. The fitness area is simple but does have a universal machine for muscle training. Breakfast is basic but includes bacon and biscuits and gravy!

We stayed here on our 50th wedding anniversary trip around Nebraska. We had a quick and friendly check in. I give them the highest score for cleanliness... WOW. The beds were so comfortable. The shower passed my "water pressure" test. The breakfast included waffles, bacon, sausage, omelettes and more. We highly recommend staying here.

We found the Best Western Plus in Grand Island to be decent, but nothing to write home about. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was updated and there was a good sized mini fridge in the room. The front desk staff were not overly friendly, but nice enough. We were not particularly impressed with breakfast. They had the usual selection of waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, etc., but it was not very good and there were VERY few healthy options, other than fresh bananas. The decaf coffee machine was out-of-order and there were only six 4-top tables for all of the hotel patrons to eat, leaving families with kids (and others) forced to take food back to their rooms. They did have a pool and hot tub, which was nice, particularly for our kids after a long day on the road. I would stay here again and just plan to eat breakfast out.

We have stayed in many Best Western hotels and the Grand Island Inn upholds this chain's high standards. Our room was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. My only complaint is that I hate those square, lumpy, hard pillows, which we found in many of the hotels on this road trip. The room decor also needs to be updated, especially the old printed bedspreads. Overall, a good place to stay.

After a long day's drive it is nice to arrive and have everything work. The facilities are modern and spick and span. The staff were professional and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds with just the firmness I like. Everything worked. The included breakfast was served in nice surroundings and had something for everyone. We had no complaints on any matter.

While riding my bike across Nebraska I rolled into Grand Island needing a Jacuzzi tub and a good nights sleep to recharge my body.And I found it at the best western plus.Ann was the best making my every wish come true from getting the laundry to work,sweaty bike clothes too extra moisturizer for my skin. hotel staff very nice room ok but the sheets and bedding needs work or just need to be replaced . Tends to be noisy at night. kids or teens idk.. running around the hall slamming doors ! Maybe not too good if you need to get up early for work

We stayed there before and decided we wanted to stay there again as we were close and ready to stop traveling for the day. They also suggested a very good steak house for dinner. Walmart was close and so were the gas stations.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The front office lady was very nice and friendly. We didn't make use of the spa or the pool so we can't comment on them. We were thrilled to see the walk in shower rather than having a tub shower. My only negative comment is the mattress. It was saggy in places, but didn't keep us from getting a nights sleep. I would compliment the hotel on their breakfast. They offered a full breakfast and the food was delicious. We would stay at this Best Western again.

I travel Interstate 80 through Nebraska twice each summer. This hotel is one that I have used more than once. The staff are very nice, and it's extremely comfortable. It's not directly off the interstate, but is easy to get to and is centrally located near convenience stores and restaurants.

I have stayed at this Best Western twice now. The staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are clean and well kept. The breakfast is a standard hotel hot breakfast, nothing creative but decent. I would stay here again.

Nice decor, good staff, clean room. But none of that matters if the mattress is poor. I was in room 211, an ADA room which is all they had left (they said). I moved the bath bench out of the bathroom and it was fine. The desk chair wouldn't raise up so I felt like a child at the dinner table. But the main thing is that the mattress was way soft. There was a dip in the middle of the foot of it like it's been sat on there a lot. I tried sleeping on both sides of the king mattress and they were the same. Very soft.

When we arrived, the front desk clerk told us about a promotion going on. It sounded good, so we signed on and continued to use mostly Best Westerns for the rest of our trip. Turned out that we were sent a discount card and earned enough points to take $20 off our next to last night's stay, and we had the last stay of the trip completely free in a Best Western plus hotel. We had similar luck with a Best Western promotion last year when we traveled to see the eclipse. We were very, very pleased. Just to return to Grand Island: we had a fine stay and the pool was great.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites for one night while in town for baseball. The staff at the front desk were very nice and inviting. The room was defiantly big. However the bed was a little too soft, and the pillows are the size of throw pillows.

We had eight people in two rooms and could not have been more satisfied. This a very well maintained property, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Measured against other motel breakfast, this Best Western breakfast was above average. The servers were busy keeping everything fresh and hot. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at a reasonable price.

Nice hotel with a friendly staff. Room was neat and clean. Hotel has a nice pool. We had a room on the 3rd floor. Hotel has good sound proofing and noise was never an issue. Included breakfast was good. We would recommend this hotel.

We highly recommend this property. The hotel is very clean, a great value, excellent rooms and a great breakfast with the best bacon!!! The location is great also with great options for dining. We recently went to Tommy Gunz Bistro which was great. We stay at this hotel every time we are in Grand Island for business. We can't say enough good things about the staff---Cindy, the front office manager, is wonderful. She is always very friendly, remembers our names, our preference for rooms and floor, etc. A great asset to the hotel. Matt, the general manager, is also very friendly and will take the time to address any issues. Ann, front desk, was very helpful one cold evening when the heater in room wasn't working. She contacted the heating service and had it fixed before we finished our pizza!! She and Jenny, another front desk person, are always greet you and take the time to visit with you and are very accommodating. Candace and Morgan are great also. If there was more than a 5 rating for this property, we would give it.

Highly recommend! Clean, great value. Great breakfast, lots of choices! Staff is awesome. Would definitely stay here again. Close to good places to eat. Had a small issue with our door lock not letting us in, staff responded immediately got us in and then switched us to another room to assure us of no further issues. If I had one complaint it would be the pillows were small.

A first class property with excellent rooms and a full service breakfast. It is located next door to the Harley Davidson dealer for us bikers and just down the street from Tommy Gunz eatery both also first class. Plenty of parking for our 2 horse trailer as one is able to drive around the entire building. We will return.

The breakfast at this hotel was wonderful. It far exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and kind. The service in this hotel was far better than expected. I would definately return to this hotel.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean but ……. the walls are not very sound proof. When the air conditioner was running and the TV was turned up, I could still hear kids crying. The closet had two doors and one of them would not open. And to top it off, it was the worst bed I've ever slept in. It was a King size and on my side of the bed, the matteress has collapsed. I tried moving towards the middle of the bed but the collapsed matteress was so bad, that I eventually kept falling back into the middle. I got up in the morning more exhausted then when I sent to bed. It was my worst night of sleep ever. And I never have a problem sleeping otherwise.

We stopped here after several hours of driving. We were greeted and checked in by friendly and helpful staff. The price was very reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. There were several restaurants nearby for dinner. I would stay here again.

I have stayed a lot in BW motels personally and thru work and this is the Beast BW I have ever stayed in, it was clean the staff friendly and helpful. And a really nice suite room. We come to Grand Island at least 2 times a year to visit our granddaughter and have always stayed at the Hampton. But will probably start staying here.

This is my favorite place to stay in GI for a couple of reasons. 1) Conviently located near food, the fairgrounds and other amenities, 2) right next to the Harley Shop, 3) Great hotel staff, 4) Clean rooms, 5) Helpful staff, 6) Great indoor pool and hot tub, 7) Good free breakfast, 8) Soft beds, 9) Quiet Rooms, 10) Kinkaider Brewing Company is in town, try their microbrews.

A most pleasant and restful overnight stay. Hotel is a short distance away from the highway. A great steak house a few blocks away added to our night's stay. Anne, at the Front desk, was most welcoming after our long day's drive. Highly recommend this hotel.

When we got to the motel, we were upgraded to a suite. It was large and spacious, well equipped. We enjoyed it until time for bed. The heat/cooling unit is next to the bed, and it roared all night (off and on). The hurricane out of the vents blew the curtains. No speed control on the fan. What a way to spoil a remarkably attractive suite!!!

After a long day of travel battling winter snow it was so comforting to find a great stop like this. The desk clerk was very very nice and the rooms were big and clean. Breakfast was served by 6:00 AM so we could get an early start on our long ride back to Minnesota. Local restaurants as pointed out by the desk clerk held true to her billing. Great stay with very comfortable beds with nice hot showers.

Very friendly staff and very clean! Breakfast buffet had great options. Pool was very nice and clean. Price was very reasonable considering the amenities offered. Location was very convenient with lots of restaurant options close. Shopping and mall was easy to locate.

Super easy check in with friendly staff. Room was clean with the exception of a French fry under edge of bed. Plenty to eat in the morning, starting at 5:30 which was great for us! Few places have breakfast ready that early.

Room was good BUT comforter was very dingy and could not use. Clean hotel otherwise. Bed was good for a good nights rest. Breakfast was OK but some food was cold ( potatoes and eggs). Convenient off and on for interstate.

We checked in for a two night stay on 12/29/17 to have a late Christmas celebration with family in Grand Island. We were greeted by a very friendly and super helpful woman at the front desk. The lobby is bright and the fireplace was so inviting especially with sub zero temps outside. Our room was clean and spacious and having a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker was a nice convenience. The hot breakfast was really good and substantial. The hot tub and pool area was clean. My only negative comment is that the shuttle van was always outside the front door of the hotel so it was always in the way to walk out to your car or to pull multiple cars up to the door. Seems to me it could be parked away from the building when it's not in use.

Stayed a single night with family. Room was clean, staff was very friendly and rate was reasonable, around $95 after all taxes/fees. I made a mistake when I booked online and they were very quick and pleasant in fixing it (I booked for Friday instead of Saturday). Not a single problem.

Although my post has nothing to do directly with the hotel it does make me wonder about the quality of some of the staff. On the morning of 12-28-17. I pulled into the grand island airport. I quickly got out of the car along with my son and proceeded to unload his TWO.... bags. In the lane next to me was a Best Western shuttle bus who rudely stated I can not park there. by the time he said this my son was already unloaded and out of the way. I said Ill be one minute. I was letting my daughter out of the back and my wife was getting out of the front. luckily for my daughter she got back in the car but my wife and my door was almost taken off by this inconsiderate jerk who must have been late for his morning roll and coffee. I of course yelled at him. He then proceeded to stop in front of us and burned his tires throwing snow all over my wife and I. I made three phone calls to the hotel and the manager obviously found it not important enough to call me back. Lack of any response tells me all I need to know about the management and your bus driver. Then to see another post on here from one week ago about the shuttle driver / Maintenance guy. He must be a real peach. Next time mister maintenance guy. I wont be making a phone call. I'll come find you and then we will talk.

Will stay here again. Close to eating places and for refuelling. Not too far off the Interstate but the 12 miles could be a deterrent to some people. I don't like surveys and only started this because we liked the hotel so much.

When I arrived late in the evening I was greeted by a shuttle driver who wouldn't help me with my baggage into or out of the shuttle. When we arrived at the hotel. The hotel desk folks were unfriendly, not rude but brusque and Kurt. I went to my room and found it clean and in order. however the toilet ran all night. I? went down in the morning to tell the people at the desk about the toilet running all night. There were two people working at the desk and they were consumed with casual conversation and as I waited more than five minutes for them to recognize me, I finally decided the cost of the running toilet was not my problem and I turned and went back to my room. The shining part of this experience was that housekeeping was friendly, courteous and with a ready smile. I asked her a question and she helped me immediately. I wish I had asked her name. They lose 1 point on the baggage, 1 point for the check in and 1 point for the following morning. Keep 1 point for the room and 1 point for the excellent housekeeping. Make it 2 points for housekeeping!

We stayed here this summer just before the eclipse. They were full, but they were very nice, kind and friendly! The hotel was very clean and fresh. The thing that we enjoyed most was that the beds were not on adjoining walls, this meant you could hear the people next to you. It also made for a quiet night's sleep and you could lay in bed and look out the window in the morning.

Driving through Nebraska on a very windy evening we needed to get off the road to escape the semis. Fortunately we were near enough to Grand Island and knew there was a Best Western there. We really have come to enjoy the BW experience, and this was no different. I particularly enjoy finding places with a fitness center that allows me to unwind from a long day of driving. Keep it up!

this hotel was one of the best I've stayed in this year. the value and the location were very good. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfully. the hotel was close to a lot of places to eat also.

We made a last minute reservation about ten miles from town. The staff were very friendly. The room was nice, breakfast was delicious and our granddaughter loved the pool! We will definitely visit again.

Bed was great-that is all I needed or wanted- I slept like a baby. The pillows were very good, bathroom clean and well stocked shower good. The breakfast was satisfactory and filled the food requirement for the morning.

A 5 Star hotel that treats the customer with respect and knows how to make you feel very comfortable during your stay. One of the few hotels that don't ignore you and will respond to every concern or need to make your stay right. Number One and it shows.!!

Great room. Very nice hot tub and pool! The front desk personnel were great, helped post my member number for our stay as I forgot it. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was in a nice room, the food typical of most hotels but hot and fresh.

This seems to be a fairly new property and was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The room we had was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was also in a good location as it was in with easy access to most things to do in Grand Island. A great place to stay.

Stayed for a couple of nights while on business in Grand Island. This hotel is nice, and the staff was very accomodating. The facility had a little wear-bed was a little worn and key fans sticking. However; the staff was very friendly and the place was clean.

The best part of this hotel was the friendly receptionist, who helpfully suggested that I use my Reward Points for the stay, which I was quite surprised about as my experience elsewhere is that hotels are not keen on Points being used. But I had quite a few issues with my stay, which I would not expect from a hotel with the Plus designation. The lighting in my room was very poor and the fridge did not work properly. The breakfast was distinctly average, with the hot items being lukewarm and there were no bagels or oatmeal. The only restaurant I found nearby was a very poor quality Dennys, though it may be that there were others that I missed – the absence of a hotel guide or telephone directory in my room made it hard to research what might be available.

Too much febreze or spray was used to cover smells. Large room but not worth the money. Too far away from interstate and breakfast had cheap items. You can do better elsewhere even though we got a break from the regular price.

Our family of 5 loved this hotel! Beds and pillows were comfortable! We all got an excellent night sleep! Excellent Breakfast!!! Wonderful staff! I give this a 10 PLUS! We were there to attend AKSARBEN livestock show and this hotel was within 5 minutes of the fairgrounds! I would recommend this hotel to anyone attending an event at Fonner Park in Grand Island, NE.

Great room, great front desk staff. The address listed on their web page is bogus, and my GPS didn't recognize it - call the front desk for the real address. It is handy to the interstate and a good place to choose for an overnight stop.

This hotel is located near some great restaurants, within walking distance. The desk clerk was very helpful, the business center was very private, and the room was exceptional clean. The coffee with breakfast the next morning was wonderful. The breakfast had a great selection of hot food including pancakes. This hotel is not far from the Stuhr Museum.

Best Western Plus, Grand Island, is a great place to stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean, very friendly staff and located close to several nice restaurants. When traveling through the area again, this will be by resting spot.

My wife and I were on the road driving through Nebraska and stopped in Grand Island, Nebraska looking for a room for the night. We walked in the door at the Best Western Plus and the woman behind the counter immediately said "hello!" We asked if she had a room for us and she gave us the best rate she had for an old man with a Best Western rewards number. She was very welcoming and quickly gave us a recommendation for a place for dinner. The room was spacious and clean. The room included a breakfast buffet. The food was fresh and plentiful. There were scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, cereal, muffins yogart and sweetrolls. All the food tasted fresh. The rooms quiet and comfortable.

Could not ask for a better place to stay. The room and hotel were very nice, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The price was a bit high but it was because we chose a King suite here rather than staying someplace else.

Was very happy to stay at this hotel. We were in town for the annual Nebraska Junk Jaunt and stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean as was the check in area and the breakfast area. The food for breakfast was ok, would have liked to have seen more selection of portable fresh fruit (apples, oranges) only one day had bananas. The clerk at the check in desk (forgot to get her name) was great, very pleasant and when we asked for a recommendation for a place to eat (non-chain restaurant) she sent us down the street to a place that had some of the best fried chicken. The only downside to our stay was the beds. I know that it is probably difficult to replace mattresses often, but the bed was kind of saggy in the middle, which caused some discomfort, but not enough to make me not want to stay here again. Will definitely stay here again next year.

Easy to get to from the HIghway. Near all of the Museums and points of Interest to me. Close to Downtown. Quite and nicely appointed rooms. Good Breakfast. TV News and Newspapers available. Mattress was great, but the smaller, pillows were okay, and at least soft and not 'over-firm' Hotel was in a quiet, safe, well-landscaped area.

The staff at this hotel are very warm and welcoming. I was extremely pleased at the prices charged during the Eclipse event as they absolutely did not try to take advantage of the fact that many people wanted rooms. I can't say how much I appreciated this. The public area was open and inviting and the business center was private. I was impressed by the iced coffee machine that is available throughout the day - vanilla and mocha! I loved the mocha. This machine its located in the dining room. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One detractor - the room wasn't quite ready for us as a pen was left on the easy chair in plain sight - I just picked it up and tossed it. Others everything was clean. The bed was on the softer side as it had a quilted pillow top and the mattress itself was starting to age. The linens were soft and I felt cozy. Older people with aging bones might find the bed uncomfortable. The bathroom was fine but don't put bubble bath in the water as the water is very hard and your bubbles won't work! Mineral salts would be a better bath additive here!! There was a microwave and refrigerator but the microwave was the old dial type and it was really difficult to time our popcorn - we burnt the first bag. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choices. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Finally, I did not appreciate all the guests who don't dry off after the pool before walking into the lobby and to the elevator. There seemed to be a fairly constant trail of water in front of the elevator caused from “cavalier” guests (adults most of the time). The front desk staff were always willing to wipe things down but it I do wish guests would be more conscientious.

This town hosts loads of hotels and motels. Choosing one is difficult. However we choose this one because it was an excellent price and I have a Best western loyalty card. We spoke with the lovely lady who checked us in and she recommended a place to eat when we enquired. Texas T's. Wow it did not disappoint. The best steak fillet we have ever tasted.

Because this hotel is located about 3 miles from the Interstate 80 freeway, you do not hear the freeway traffic noise which is really nice. And because I am a Best Western Platinum member, we received an upgrade to a suite which is super awesome because the suite is roomier and homely feeling. The beds were comfortable, not too soft and not too hard. We enjoyed our brief overnight stay. The breakfast room area wasn't large but it did offer tables and chairs and a decent breakfast like waffles, cereal, coffee, juices, but being on tight traveling schedule we could not sit down to enjoy the breakfast bar. I will definitely stay here again. This hotel accepts military discount and I appreciate that so very much. Thank you Grand Island BW hotel.

Maybe I'm biased but I LOVE Best Westerns. I have never had a bad experience staying at a Best Western and this is another one to add to the list. We were two of the thousands that swarmed the heartland for the August 21, 2017 eclipse. Having never been to Nebraska, we arrived several days before the event to explore the state and stayed for a few more days after. The hotel was easy to find driving in on I-80 with plenty of on site parking. The room was very clean with comfy beds and equipped with a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. One thing my companion noticed and praised was the single use remote control for the TV. We did have some difficulty with the shower. The diverter valve was stuck somewhere in the middle between tub and shower...and then the shower head fell off! As soon as we reported the problem, the evening clerk came up to try and fix it and when she was unable, offered to move us to another room. We refused the offer of a different room when she assured us it would be fixed the next morning. (It was fixed by 10 a.m. the next day!) We didn't use the indoor swimming pool/Jacuzzi area or fitness/weight room but both were tidy and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast at the Best Westerns never disappoints me. They always have BACON. A variety of breads, muffins, cereals (both hot and cold), fresh fruit and yogurt are other choices if the biscuits and gravy,eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes don't appeal to you.

We stopped in here for a night while cruising across NE. Great choice. The building looks relatively new or at least well maintained and the lobby is clean and updated. Front desk was great with greeting and offering restaurant choices in town. Room was large and clean. Response to request for extra pillows was prompt. Overall we thought this was a gem on the plains, everyone was nice, the building and rooms were clean. If in the area again, I would stay here again.

Room was very large and quite. Indoor pool was warm and jacuzzi was perfect! Breakfast was good, but needed to have some more choices. Really the only bad thing was mild in the shower walls. Otherwise I would recommend to stay here.

the hotel seems to be updated very nice. looks clean and welcoming. all non smoking hotel so it smells very nice and clean. breakfast was the usual hotel food with a wide variety of hot items. staff was very helpful. we were happy with the room. it was very clean and comfortable. our only complaint was that the bed was older. mattresses need to be replaced and upgraded. the a/c had an actual temp dial but I could not find a dial to lower the fan speed. it blew very hard across the room every time it came on.

We stayed for the 2017 eclipse and found the hotel newly updated, with goid location , quiet sleeping . Especially liked the bathroom and big shower . The swimming area looked nice but had no time to enjoy. Breakfast was typical for hotel eating.

I stayed here with my husband for one night travelling through the area. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. If I could change one thing, it would be to have the flexibility to turn off the airconditioning. You could adjust it in your room, however, it was only the temperature - heat/cool and having the fan on automatic or always on. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would stay here again if every I was in Grand Island.

One of the top Best westerns I've ever stayed at. Excellent friendly staff, comfortable Beds, Very clean rooms, beautiful decor inside and out. Breakfast was good and well presented and area clean. Pool and Hot tub area well maintained with convenient hours. reasonably priced.

The two of us came in very late at night. The front desk check in person was very patient and helpful. We received an upgrade because of my Rewards card. I also received a snack of Goldfish and a free bottle of water. Everything went very smooth. Breakfasts in the morning had a lot of selection and I had everything I wanted.

Great hotel. The room was HUGE and very clean. The kids loved the pool. The breakfast was really the winner of our stay. A very large offering and it was all hot and fresh. We've never stayed at a Best Western Plus - (or a non-plus???) and will definitely start keeping an eye out for them now. Very impressed.

Hotel was right off the highway. the overall appearance was good. They had ample parking for our trailer. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and professional . Breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

Best Western Grand Island is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms for a family of four.....loved the breakfast and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again when heading out west.

The hotel and our room were very clean and well maintained. Especially like that is was a shower-only room, which permits easy safe access to shower. The breakfast included in the room price was awesome, they had fresh make-your-own pancakes and delicious crispy bacon. Will stay here every time I stay in Grand Island.

This is a clean, quiet, new, and well-staffed hotel. It is a little drive off I-80, but worth it. Pam's Pub and Grub is a short walk away and a step back in time to a friendly, unpretentious, small restaurant with simple good and reasonably priced food, served promptly and with a smile. We will be on our way again before breakfast in the hotel is served...but I'm confident it would be good, because this place just makes you feel confident that things will be done right.

We did not get the correct rooms at check-in. Lady behind the desk (Bonnie) kept making up stories about the boys being loud. Parents checked on many occasions and nothing. Most of them were out fishing during their off time. You couldn't talk in the halls or she was yelling at the boys to be quiet or giving the parents a dirty look. She didn't want anyone in the lobby and asked us to move. What are the couches and TV for them?? It was like she had something against us. I seen other people yelling down the hall close to the front desk and she never said a word. I will take my reservations else where next time.

Always nice staying here. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast is good! After a long day at the local water park and a good meal at the local steak house, was glad to have a comfortable bed to come back to. Second time we have stayed at this location and always a good experience. Would recommend to anyone and a good value for the money

Nice facility with very clean rooms and friendly staff. While we were driving through the area, the facility is not right on the Interstate but easy to access. We will stay again on our next trip through the area.

A very nice hotel that is clean and well kept. The level of customer service at this location was outstanding!! When we encountered minor issues (key card not working for room & washing machine not working) both were resolved immediately.

We were traveling on a family vacationy and were returning from Colorado when we began looking for a place to stop for the night. This motel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. My wife was not feeling well and the staff immediately gave me an extra blanket for her. The following morning Stacy was working at the front desk. Stacy corrected some incorrect check in information so I could obtain Best Western Reward Points for our stay. After checking out and driving about 40 minutes, we realized we forgot my wife'said temperpedic pillow. My wife contacted the motel desk and spoke with Stacy and asked if they could send her pillow COD. Stacy told my wife they would send the pillow free of charge. My only complaint about this motel was it was located further off of the Interstate than we wanted, but considering the lack of motels on that stretch of I-80 it was not that big of a deal. I would definitely stay at this motel again if we were in the area.

This was our second stay here on a trip to Yellowstone. The rooms are nice, with TV and refrigerator. The location is good, with many restaurants nearby. It's always been quiet at night and the breakfasts are good, if not spectacular. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again when passing this way.

We were on day 3 of our 3+ week motorcycle trip. This hotel is directly located next to a HD Dealership where the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our minor mechanical problems. The dinner recommendation by the BW staff was appreciated.

Second year we have stayed here for the ABGA National show. Staff was great!! Location was awesome. Very close to the fairgrounds. We will be there next year too. Laundry area was very nice to use for a week's stay

My two sisters and I travelled to Grand Island from states West and South and had a delightful five day BW stay!!Everyone we came in contact with was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very nice and customer service was outstanding!! This was our second stay at this Inn and Suites and I would highly recommend it.

My family and I stayed here while traveling back to Colorado. Staff were very friendly and professional. The entire hotel was extremely clean. Beds were comfy...on the softer side but still very comfy. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits/gravy and an assortment of cereals and pastries.

This is the second time we've stayed here and if our travel needs take us back to Nebraska, we most certainly would stay here. The staff is great! Cindy was really helpful and accommodating with our schedule, she upgraded our room and got us into it a little early. She was great to work with. The breakfast is also a very nice way to start the day. The smell of real bacon greets you, the food choices are good and I especially liked the iced coffee machine! Never have seen that before. The breakfast area was kept clean. Room was also very clean and really comfy; no problems with the wi-fi. This is a very clean and comfortable and accommodating place to stay.

I was born in Nebraska, 25 miles East or Grand Island. For the past 3 years I have stayed at the BW+ GI during the Memorial Weekend. This is an annual event my brother and I have started. We go to the cemetery where are parents, sister, grandparents and great grandparents were laid to rest for the service that is held on Memorial Day. Staying at the GI BW+ is convenient and enjoyable.

I was on my way home and needed a place to stay. I had no reservation made because I didn't know where I would stop. I consulted "Lady Garmin" for up coming motels. Listed was this Best Western Plus Grand Island so there I went. I can honestly say this was one of the best motels I have stayed at in a long,long time. The building from the outside was impeccable. The grounds were well manicured. The lobby was spacious and nicely decored. The staff was friendly and courteous. I asked for and received a king room on the top floor. The room itself was spacious,clean, well appointed. The bathroom looked as though it was just remodeled. The towels seemed like they were brand new. Smooth and soft. The bed was perfect for me. What set this place above others in this price range was the breakfast. Real hot scrambled eggs,bacon,sausages that are not of the precooked variety,fried potatoes and all the other usual and customary thing that you expect to find. All and all a great stop.

This place is always clean and welcoming. The beds are good for a hotel and it's clean and comfy. The hot tub is kept nice and hot and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the rooms with the bed or two beds that also have the pull out couch. We don't need it but it sure does make the area feel so much more spacious and more homey. There is a restaurant about a block South of there called Pam's Pub and Grub. They have the best fried chicken and it's on an all you can eat buffet for about $10. Definitely a must go. During season, there is live horse racing at Fonner Park and the Stuhr Museum is just a few minutes away. The Case International Factory offers tours and there is an awesome trap shooting range 15 minutes away.

I stayed at this motel during a business trip. It was a nice motel, and I stay at a lot of Best Westerns, along with some other chains. Breakfast was excellent. Workout area could use updating/better machines. Staff was very helpful and offered suggestions for restaurants. Reasonably priced for my purpose.

This is a modern, clean, and pleasant hotel. The staff make the difference - they are caring, efficient, and friendly. I've had to stay here on business, and they've made me feel like family while I've been away from mine.

I cannot rave enough about our stay at this hotel!! The room was clean and comfortable and the pillows were perfect. We got a suite room so my son could sleep on the pull-out and he thought it was very comfortable as well. The pool and hot tub were impeccably clean. The breakfast was extremely generous, they made us fresh pancakes! The entire hotel was extremely clean and comfortable.

The property was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay, the only issue is that it is noisy, very little insulation to buffer sound. Breakfast offerings were a fine. The person managing the buffet was very nice to us and was helpful when we needed coffee and hot chocolate before the breakfast opened.

We stayed two nights with a group during Crane Migration Season. The rooms were large and clean and the beds comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the hot breakfast was quite good (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, etc.). We would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Beds were poor and breakfast quality was sub-par. Snow drift between handicapped parking and front door for two days. Remote for TV had dead batteries. Rooms not cleaned between first and second night.

I Stayed here while traveling through from Michigan. Nice staff, clean room, clean pool, well run hotel I would stay here again. Always good to find a stay along the highway that doesn't seem overused.

Best Western Plus Grand Island feels like getting home after a long trip. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. This is the cleanest and most well kept hotel I have stayed at in a long time. You won't be dissapointed.

Are you looking for a peaceful place for resting, sleeping, jacuzzi relaxing time, and a free complete breakfast? this is the place. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, juices, fruit, oatmeal, cold and hot coffee, yogurt, yummy yummy.

I actually really liked this hotel mainly because it was a very new property. One thing I really liked was that when I arrived the hotel was not crowded at all. I decided to go to the pool/jacuzzi and sit in the jacuzzi and expected a lot of people to be there, but I had the whole jacuzzi and pool to myself at the time I arrived. The jacuzzi was an oversized one that would have been comfortable even if there had been a few other people. One thing I didn't like was the electronic room key. It kept malfunctioning on me. The breakfast, I thought, was very good. Also, the little toiletries in the room had a few extras that you normally don't get. My only other complaint would be that I asked for a wake-up call and they didn't do it. Maybe that's considered old fashioned now with all the smart phones? Anyway...

First of all I stayed here over 2 week nights in late March 2016 and didn't have the below problems. Internet: On a Android smartphone with google, google would not let the login page load because the login page is not secure. I have never had this problem before at any other hotel/motel. I had to clear the "Chrome" browser cache to get the login page to load. I'm sure there's millions of smartphones running Android with the default Chrome web browser. Breakfast: sign says "scrambled eggs" but there wasn't any. I was told by "staff" that they are not served on Sat & Sun, yet the room price for weekends is the same as weekdays. In their place were those cheap poor tasting premade "omelets" TV: The remote control "guide" button doesn't work. I was told this is because management removed all the little "boxes" behind all the room TV's. So the removal of the "box" does 2 things: "A" you can't see the tv guide listings AND "B" all the local channels are now in "SD" and not "HD". If this facility runs 50% full, then a $1/night increase would have covered all of the above. I don't have time for facility's that cut corners. Would rather see the room rate raised $1.00 to cover their costs & profits.

Recently stayed here for two nights. On the surface, the place looks decent. No problem with booking the room and no problem at all with the billing or the front desk - they were all very nice. The room itself though - very average. The air conditioner worked well so that was a big plus. I liked that it had a refrigerator. Found a dirty sock under the sink ?? The biggest issue was the noise - I could hear word-for-word conversations in both rooms next to me. One guy was on his phone well after midnight and talking and laughing and on the other side of me, a young family with kids stayed there and were up and playing early. I know they weren't trying to be loud and were not yelling - so that means the walls have little to no noise abatement. Most hotels have much better sound proofing than this one so if noise bothers you, look elsewhere or take earplugs. Went to the pool and the pool temp was very cool (didn't even feel heated) and the hot tub was out of commission and had a bunch of sand in it. For the price of $153/night including tax, this was a disappointment. Have stayed in much nicer places for that amount per night.

Our daughters softball team was playing in the state tournament in Hastings. The staff out did them self. Right when you walked in they had the front entrance decorated in their team color, mascot, and picture of them. Rooms were updated, clean, and beds comfy. Stayed here last year as well and intend on returning if we make it back to the area.

the hotel was very nice and clean. We stayed there as it was chosen for a family wedding. Our kids and grandkids stayed also. The breakfast area was a little small for the amount of guests that were eating there, but otherwise it was a nice stay.

Overall our experience was great, friendly staff (from the time of reservation to the check out of the Hotel), breakfast had a good variety, very clean rooms, super comfortable beds, free wifi, free parking and the list can go on. Great place all around and at a great price.

Nice room, one bed and hide-a-bed had dips in the middle and hide-a-bed was wet on mattress at foot. Girl at desk said oh sorry. She was out smoking and no one at desk at one time. When asked for wash clothes that were missing from room she did not know what to get or where to get it. Asked about eating establishments and she didnt know where to go. Breakfast was pretty good, limited seating. Parking was easy access. Loved getting a free Sunday paper.

Room was very nice and very clean. Up to date with nice bathroom. Pool area and spa water was proper temperature. Towels supplied at the pool which is very nice.Front desk personnel were cooperative in finding and recommending places to eat. this is the place to stay in Grand island.

About 5 miles off the interstate, but not a whole lot to choose from down the road. Nice room as most BW are. Clean, modern, well appointed. Breakfast was typical of these places and this one wasn't even average, food wasn't very warm, ergo the 4 rating.

When I come to Grand Island, I always try to stay here. The lobby is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and I always sleep well. I've stayed here many times and it feels like home away from home.

My husband and I embarked on road trip, driving to the East Coast from California and back over 3 weeks. This location was our third night on the trip. We book through AAA, which offers the most attractive room rates. The room rate included breakfast. This hotel was built in 2010 and is very new looking. The room had one King bed, chair with ottoman, desk big enough for two to share, 4 desk outlets, free WiFi, one luggage rack and one luggage table, roomy closet with iron/ironing board, spacious bathroom with granite countertop, refrigerator, microwave, 40" flat screen, very nice furnishings and double paned windows with triple layer curtains; blackout insulated, sheers and décor style. We were in a side facing room (which I actually hotel front), and were able to park our car under a light, in view from our window. The parking slots are large/wide. The lobby is open, light and welcoming with very nice decor. The bathroom had the full complement of toiletries, including shower gel, makeup remover towelette and enough white hotel towels for 4 people. Good water pressure in the shower, with a high shower head, good for tall guests, All bed linens were snowy white with comforter to match the drapery valance. Pleasant staff, wonderful breakfast in a nice room with a window view, fireplace, big screen TV, nice furnishings. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, link and patty sausage and bacon. Watermelon chunks and fresh pineapple. A variety of cereals, yogurt. Breads and bagels to toast, muffins, 4 types cereal, yogurt, milk, juices. BONUS pancake machine and Ice Coffees, Mocha and Vanilla. Great hotel, better than average breakfast and a nice location, walking distance to restaurants. See my review for Pam's Pub and Grub

We have stayed before and like that it is off the freeway. This hotel is quiet, comfortable and pretty. We like the staff, the amenities and the rooms. Always have a nice stay. The town of Grand Island has some good restaurants and we enjoy having the freedom to pick. Most of the ones we choose are not chains. That is a plus I think. When we come through again, we will stay again.

This is a very nice place to stay. They are biker friendly as are most Best Westerns that I have stayed at across the country. Comfortable beds, great showers, very clean and well kept rooms. Wifi worked great with no issues. Desk clerk was very helpful on recommending a place to get dinner. Overall great place to stay.

I stayed here for Husker Harvest days 2016. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Fantastic hotel. I have stayed in a few Best Westerns and they were okay. The room was light and very clean feeling. The air conditioner worked great, and the constant "on" for the AC fan actually worked. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom and shower was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will be back.

Spent the night here on the way to vacation. We were traveling with our 3 year old and opted for the king with a pull-out couch. Bed was very comfy, room was very clean. We spent some time in the pool which was nice. Breakfast was ample with hot choices as well. Would definitely stay here again.

If you ever get a chance to stay in Grand Island, NE, it would be to your advantage to stay at The Best Western Plus. It was incredibly clean, first rate and surprisingly pleasant. The breakfast was super.

I stay at Best Westerns a lot, so we looked this one up after deciding to stop in Grand Island on our drive across (half of the) country. One website says something about it being a "straightforward hotel" so I was a bit skeptical but it looks totally new from the outside. Inside, it's very nice. The woman at check-in (Bonnie) was super friendly and super efficient. My son and I got a mini-suite because I had a couple of hours of work to do before going to bed and he wasn't going to stay up that late. It was a really comfortable room with a big bathroom. They didn't have any problem with us bringing his bicycle up to the room for the night. I'm a cereal eater, but the hot breakfast looked pretty good, with scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, but all the other stuff was pretty average (and the pastries below average). The price was about the same as all the others (Hampton, Fairfield, etc.). I would definitely stay here again.

This was a very comfortable, affordable and quiet place to stay! Staff was friendly and was spot on when suggesting near by restaurants for us! Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet and clean. We plan to stay at other Best Western Plus hotels in the future after this experience!

Nice (but rather pricey) hotel. The usual Best Western amenities: nice large rooms, good amenities, etc. Nice breakfast and very helpful staff. But it is VERY noisy, at least on the first floor. I arrived late so they only had rooms near the front desk, and every time someone went in or out of their room the door slammed and there was virtually no sound abatement through my front door.

We drove by several hotels and they basically looked the same and by chance stopped by here. We did not have a reservation but they had several rooms available and we decided on a suite and they gave us a rate discount. We were amazed at the size and layout of the room. We loved having two bathrooms, the large city area and the great beds and bedding. Downtown Grand Island on Friday nights in the summer has a band playing in their railroad park and we stopped at several places that had outside seating downtown and had a drink and appetizer. Great old downtown buildings mostly fixed up. When we come back we will stay at this motel.

off the expressway, located in a country setting. quiet, comfortable room and nicely done breakfast. front desk very pleasant providing detailed information on our stay and the town. knowledgeable about the local restaurants including meal options and pricing info.

This is a very nice hotel. The decor is upscale, the rooms are clean and the beds are really comfy. They also have a great breakfast. There's a nice Harley-Davidson store next door. The Mexican restaurant across the street is well priced and the food is reasonable.

Enjoyed our stay at the Grand Island hotel. Very convenient, quiet and well-appointed. Not happy with the comfort of the bed or the breakfast. They were okay, but not great. But, we will definitely consider staying here again if given the opportunity.

My husband and I stayed here last year on a trip back east. We loved this hotel and decided to stay again this time through. This hotel did not disappoint. The room is spotless and roomy, all public areas, including the pool and workout areas, are sparkling and the staff are friendly and want you to be happy with your stay. Outstanding!

Hotel is clean but somewhat dated. Cleaning staff does their job well. Front desk staff is not rude but they are not friendly/helpful at all. Breakfast area is way to small and isn't big enough to fit the number of people they house. We had to eat in the front lobby. We got a suite in a BW+ in Casper almost 40.00 cheaper.

This is a very nice hotel. We got three rooms and each were very clean and comfortable. The young lady that checked us in was very friendly and outgoing. She recommended a great steak place across the street. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

My wife and I stayed one night at this facility and were very pleased. Our check in and checked out were handled very well by very pleasant people who were very helpful. We even received a free upgrade to a suite. The room was well appointed and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection of items and the food was very good. There are a lot of places to eat very close to this facility. Even though this facility is a few miles off the interstate, we would highly recommend it to anyone traveling through this area.

Great, clean hotel for the money. Large room. Ours had a large shower, no tub. Quiet, couldn't hear neighbors walking, talking or televisions. Good bed, slept well. Very good breakfast, hot items: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes. Cold items also. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Attentive staff.

New hotel - very clean - Good beds - pleasant check in - could not find hair dryer. Upon check out we asked and the desk clerk said 'it's on top shelf of cloths closet' - why not in a holder on the wall IN the bathroom?!? Would I use this hotel again - yes.

Check in was a breeze, our room was nice and very clean. The first night the hotel was totally booked and like another reviewer, we were able to hear a conversation in the room next door almost word for word. The breakfast was adequate, warm and free with a pancake machine, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, Bisquits and gravy, and various pastries and cereal. The inside pool and spa were clean and the water temperature was good. Everyday our room was spotlessly cleaned!! Gold star for that!

Driving across America, you realize how big and beautiful the country is and how nice it would be, after a long drive, to stay in a comfortable and quiet motel. We thought we'd found that place on Expedia. Although pricey ($135 a night), we thought we'd made a good decision. We didn't. After we went to bed we could hear a phone conversation next door so clearly that we could hear the person on the other end. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. About 2 AM, the A/C began to ping when it came on.The breakfast, like the motel, was very bland. One saving grace is that the nice lady at the front desk gave us the AAA rate which saved us $15 over the rate we'd booked on Expedia. It's hard to know why this motel is so highly rated by past guests but any of the lower rated motels would not only save you money but would probably be about as good.

I discovered this hotel last year and now I always stay there when in Grand Island. They maintain a beautiful and clean property with the feel of a higher priced hotel. i would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Reservations was made by airport personal, I have had mixed results with Best West in the past and was doubtful was pleasantly surprised was as good or better than my recent experience with Hampton or Holiday Inn. Room was nice, cool, and clean. Bath very nice. Breakfast not great but satisfying.

We stayed here on our way back home. The staff and the room was very nice. We had a King Suite and stayed on the 3rd floor. That is also the floor they put large families on. We wished we had known that and we would have asked for a lower floor. Very noisy little boys in the room next to us. I gave the hotel a 5 because I should have asked to be moved.

Terrific visit with family. Free breakfast was good. Pancake machine was fun. Pool and spa was clean and new. The room was very well cleaned each day. Kudos to the housekeeping staff! The front desk personnel were efficient and friendly. Very enjoyable stay. Plenty to do or entertainment in the area.

We were pleasantly pleased with the hotel. We had a large room on a quiet corridor. The bathroom was also large with a great shower! Check in/out was efficient and location had easy access to the freeway. The concierge was good to provide accurate directions. We would recommend to any traveler.

We were traveling with our (2) great grandsons and attempted to camp for the night. The camp ground was filled with smoke so we headed for Best Western. Very nice people and a great room. It really changed the direction of our evening. Maybe it was just an off day but I thought the breakfast was a little below par for a BW. The eggs and bacon were not good.

First time staying here. It is a little off the Interstate but well worth the couple of extra miles to get there. The room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out and relax. Breakfast had a refreshing variety. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed for a night while heading out West. Read the positive reviews, so decided to give it a go. Arrived around 9PM, and was able to check in very quickly. Staff was very friendly. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Only complaint is the elevator is very slow. Didn't try out the breakfast the next morning, but the breakfast area seemed large and up to date. All in all, would stay here again without hesitation.

Our experience was nothing but positive. From check-in to check-out. Staff was very friendly and helpful and our rooms were very clean. The only suggestion to travelers I have to make your visit a little better is request a room away from the doors.

This was easy to book through Trip advisor, good service, clean, beautiful lobby (with a butterfly decorated Christmas tree?), and had a nice swimming pool all to ourselves for our brief visit. Breakfast was fine for our purposes and included hot items.

Great place. I travel often and this is one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. 5 star or 2 star this was absolutely at the top end of the cleanly scale. Would definitely recommend. Staff was super accommodating and I really enjoyed the breakfasts as well.

Check-in was smooth. Had a lovely king suite near the lobby, #115, I believe. Each room had a refrigerator and microwave, very comfortable bed. The pool was a bit chilly, but the hot tub quickly thawed us out! Breakfast was very good, nice variety, in a large, comfortable room, so that guests weren't all bumping into each other while trying to get from buffet to table. Wi-Fi worked well. Worth the longer drive from the I-80 exit!

Stayed here for 5 nights. I was very satisfied with our stay. We had a king bed with a walk-in shower! Hotel is either fairly new construction or newly remodeled. I found everything to be clean and kept up. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good with a wide variety of items and in a well laid out room with plenty of tables and chairs. Complimentary morning newspapers available. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here 1 night, June 18th. Had the room reserved, I checked in and gave them my card, the next day after checking out there were 2 pending authorizations on my account. I only got apologies, they kept putting in authorizations everyday for A WEEK! For a one night stay! Called corporate AND the hotel repeatedly, they kept blaming each other and the card company. I was told they would call me back many times and I still have not heard from them. We were completely disappointed and will never go back to any BW, they just don't care about customers. and the hot tub had a weird film floating around in it, like a greasy oil slick, Disgusting!

While traveling on our way to Yellowstone, we decided to stop here along our route for an overnight stay. We can understand why it's the #1 hotel in this area: friendly staff, superior cleanliness in the room and throughout the hotel, and the breakfast was good! The exterior is very modern and welcoming. It's not directly off the interstate (maybe about a mile or two), but it's top notch! We'd stay here again!

This was a great stay for a weekend visit to Grand Island, The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet, and they had a very nice breakfast with several hot items available. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel location was clean. All hotel staff was friendly. The free breakfast was good. The pool/hot tub was exactly what I needed. All around I had a good experience. I will recommend this to others in the future.

Of all the reviews I read about the Best Western Plus Grand Island Inn & Suites in Grand Island, Nebraska, I never read a nasty one. The only complaints were that it is located eight miles off I-80 in the heart of the city and it doesn't have a restaurant. Alas, there are several good eateries in the neighborhood. Otherwise, you can't ask for anything better when it comes to cleanliness, service and comfort. Aside from the 80 non-smoking rooms, there are 15 suites available, large and comfortable, with hi-speed wifi, microwave and refrigerator. If you've got time on your hands, there is a swimming pool, fitness center, hot tub and in-room movies. The rooms also come with irons, ironing boards and hairdryers. The Stuhr Museum, Nebraska State Fair Park, Fonner Park, Oasis Water Park and Heartland Events Center are close to the hotel. A Walmart is only a mile away. We usually leave early but if you're a late riser, the complimentary hot breakfast is a good way to start the day...hot eggs, waffles, fruits, pastries, breads, cereals, yogurt, juice and coffee. We have stayed at several Best Westerns on our travels and we've never been disappointed.

Everyone was very nice and wonderful! Cleaning staff was prompt and rooms were very clean. HOT breakfast was Great and Yummy! This is a great place to stay! I travel a lot and never have stayed at a Best Western Plus until now. Next trip I will be looking for a Best Western Plus to stay at.

The staff and overall hotel experience was pretty good. Checking in and out was very good. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of room for kids to run around and the swimming pool was clean, stocked with towels. Only complaint was breakfast items ran out half hour after breakfast had started. Eggs were cold and hard. Almost everything had pork in it and there were not alternatives available for individuals who don't eat pork. It would have been nice to see fresh fruit served at breakfast. Staff assistance was minimal at breakfast so when items ran out they were out.

What a pleasure to stay here. Could not have asked for a better place to stay! Room clean and cozy. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had anything you would want. Staff was very inviting and super friendly.

Everything was great except the internet didn't work. the rooms were very clean as well as the hotel. The food was just like any other hotel, after a day or two you look for something else. the staff was very helpful and check-in was great

Hotel has the best of everything. The staff is first rate and offer such a personal service which is sorely lacking in the hotel industry today. The place is kept in magnificent shape and very clean! We love to stay at this hotel! We love the pool, the breakfast, the exercise room and the amenities. The only problem we had on this visit was the fact that it was completely booked and when we tried to get on the internet to check our times for the next day, we could not because too many people were using it all at once. We will still plan to stay there again next year when our activities take us to the area.

We stay here whenever we are in Grand Island. The manager is always very friendly and provides excellent customer service. Comfortable, clean rooms. Business center available. Clean pool/hot tub. Outstanding breakfast selection.

the beds are great, hotel clean, super breakfast selection (could have more fruit). The pool area had too much chlorine but most hotels do. It would be really great if they'd allow you to bring your dog. They really do a nice job at keeping this hotel up and clean.

Moving my daughter from Michigan to California and stopped overnight at this hotel. Very nice. Clean, spacious, well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds. Decent free breakfast. Not exactly right off the beaten path, had to drive a few miles from the highway but it probably made for a quieter stay.

Stay at this Best Western several times a year and it is always a pleasant stay. Great front desk staff. Clean, comfortable and updated rooms. Breakfast is good as well. Plenty of places to grab dinner around this location just steer clear of the steakhouse across the street.

Hotel had all the amenities necessary for my stay. Would recommend this hotel to my family if in the area. Quiet and peaceful. Good housekeeping team. Friendly and accommodating desk staff. Had what I needed and excluded what I didn't.

The criteria for me to give 5 stars are: pleasant Front Desk, clean rooms, soft bed, quiet and good water pressure with an adequate free breakfast. Everything was a 5 star rating except the breakfast and the decor. This place must have been remodeled or is new.....it was unbelievable!! If I could I would like to give this hotel a 5+ star rating. My husband and I visited Grand Island for an engagement party staying at BW Plus. Middle of the night police woke us up pounding down our door accusing us of having marijuana. They claim night clerk sent them up to investigate and these clowns determined the smell came from our room. We're 60 yr old university and finance professionals, didn't have mj, alcohol or even advil in the room. We were terrorized and insulted. When asked for an apology from the night clerk she said "Can't control the police!" NOTHING! SCARY PLACE!! STAY AWAY!!

excellent. condition of this BW plus is fantastic. Can't do better at any price. Rooms were perfect, clean and newer. Lobby was excellent. It's a bit (8miles) off the highway, but worth the drive. Beds were the best I've seen. breakfast was typical.

A very nice motel in the center of the city. As usual, the service was excellent. I reported a minor problem with the TV in the fitness center and it was promptly repaired the next morning. This motel has the best rate in Grand Island for business travel for government employees. Consider the Best Western any time you are staying in Grand Island.

The room was immaculate and so was the service. We came to experience the sandhill crane migration and the breakfast was ready even earlier than posted and we were able to eat before going out before sunrise.

Jacuzzi was not usable, was extremely hot, advised staff, stated look into, for 3 nights, could not use, extremely hot. Tested myself, 106.7, was supposed to be max at 104, which is hot at that temperature, worst jacuzzi experience out of all hotels I've encountered. Had kids, which made it even more complicated. Pool was to be heated, opposite end of spectrum, too cool. And with that, first night in suite, toilet would not function properly, had to change out rooms too, very dissatisfied with stay. Only perk was, breakfast, was good.

We stayed here for the 1st time for the annual migration of the Sandhill Cranes. The hotel is clean, neat, non-smoking (though on 2 nites there were smokers nearby). The walls need better soundproofing between rooms, but the hotel overall is very nice. Breakfast is typical, but good overall. Stay on 3rd floor to have least noise above you.

We were one of 8 couples staying at this hotel for a Surprise Birthday Party for a friend. The hotel was conveniently located, well-maintained and very accommodating. The staff helped make our party a huge success!

Second stay at a Best Western PLUS this trip..We had avoided Best Westerns for the past several years as we felt they all were junky as we had experienced them years ago. Very much enjoyed our visits in these places this trip

Clean, friendly, comfortable. Not one problems and a very pleasant place to stay while on a bull-buying trip. Suggestions for an evening meal from the front desk where spot on. Breakfast was very nice. I only eat protein, but the selection of bacon, sausage, and eggs was good. Very nice property overall. Will definitely stay again whenever business takes me to Nebraska. My only disappointment was being near a family with a crying baby when the hotel was almost empty. I didn't complain and the baby quieted down at a reasonable time.

Without a doubt this is the best hotel in the Best Western chain. The manager Matt Ripp has a great staff and they do everything they can to help you have a great stay. Head and shoulders above all the hotels in Grand Island.

After horsing a 40+ foot combo through the construction site that is I-80, across Wyoming and Nebraska, The B/W + Grand Island was an oasis. Great hotel, great staff, plenty of parking space, and easy access to I-80.

Loved this hotel, it was in a great location, friendly staff, comfy beds, modern look. The only thing I wish they'd change is the use of disposable silverware and dining products. The amount of waste created by hotels using disposable dinnerware is huge and has a large impact on filling landfills. I asked that this change be made for the environment.

We stay here frequently for work. This hotel is by far the best hotel in Grand Island. The front desk staff is always very friendly and helpful. (Cindy and Stacy especially) They always call us by name when we come in and see that our requests are always met. The breakfast is always great, rooms are clean and very comfortable. This is like our home away from home.

In general I've been happy with Best Western Plus hotels, and this property is no exception. Our king room had a microwave and frig plus good internet, which is a rare find. It was spacious and had a great handicapped accessible shower. The bed had a pillowtop mattress, which was nice, but unfortunately it was rather soft and saggy. Of course there was a free breakfast included.

We were very impressed with the hotel. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was cordial, courteous and efficient. Although the hotel is off the beaten trail, the experience at the hotel made the extra time and effort to get there well worth while.

The stay was perfect. The hotel was (felt) new - attractive, well maintained and clean. The staff was terrific - friendly and professional. The free breakfast was great (they even have a pancake-making machine). We're I in Grand Island again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

What a wonderful place. I spend over 200 days a year traveling and can tell you this is the best place I stay! Matt and his staff go out of there way to ensure you have a great stay. The rooms are clean, quite and comfortable. The breakfast is by far the best one put out. It is easy to see that everyone takes pride in working there.

Super location with easy access to I-80. Rooms are modern, very clean and quiet. Best part is staff; friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They even updated me on road conditions as I set out to make sure I was aware of travel conditions in the area.

Clerk went above and beyond the norm to make our short visit more enjoyable. She let us use her phone to call for pizza from a local restaurant that was delicious. She treated us like we were guests in her home. She puts the "Best" in Western.

We always stay here in Grand Island now because of the service . It is a very nice facility but the staff is the reason we keep coming back. No reason to go anywhere else in Grand Island at this point.

Was traveling sans dog so decided to stay at this property again. Staff is always friendly and helpful even checking in at 1 .m. Rooms are quiet. Included were coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Multiple small pillows nice change from large neck benders. Large, flat screen TV with sanitized remote. We also enjoy the pool, fitness room and breakfasts. Always enjoy my visit. Set in the middle of the Locust strip of businesses, fast food and sit down restaurants are available. Walmart is not too far away. Parking is also convenient at the hotel. Area is very safe.

this is heads and shoulders above any other hotel property in Nebraska! The staff is fantastic. the property is very well maintained and the rooms are top notch! The breakfast is great quality and well served. I stay at a number of hotels across Nebraska and this one is the best by far!! Just a great place!

Everything about this motel is excellent. You will not find a cleaner more customer friendly place to stay. Breakfast was excellently prepared and very plentiful with a great variety of entrees. Hot food was hot cold was cold.

we spent two night at this Inn. The first night was good the 2nd not so good. We had people in the next room who got up at 6:00am and we could hear everything that they said. Fortunately, they did not get up at 4:00AM. The pillow top mattress are good the swimming pool and hot top are very good the morning breakfast is very good. I had not seen an automatic pancake maker before. The three free newspapers are excellent. But if you are looking for a good nights sleep beware.

This Best Western needs to be put at the top of excellence , and should be a role model for all other locations. It was just a little off of US80, but well worth stopping at, on ones way. The staff is excellent and caring, and the environment is new. One feels like you are in a high priced Hotel. As for the two of us, we will be stopping from now on, on our travels out of Colorado. on our way East.

Hotel decor looked great. The pool and hot tub were very nice, as was the breakfast. I do not remember names but all of the front desk staff that I did interact with were extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice establishment.

Last year in 2014 I stayed at this hotel and it was a great experience! Fast Foward to Oct 2015 and this hotel continues to impress me. Joann at the front desk was excellent, and the GM of the hotel was a very nice gentleman who showed extra care to make our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast is filling each morning and the hotel's Wifi is great! Can't wait to visit again next year.. I know where I will be staying from here on out!

I was so impressed with this hotel. It was truly beyond what you might expect. Very nice room, free internet, nice décor and lobby, and a fantastic breakfast. The breakfast is the best self serve meal you will ever get at a hotel. They even have a pancake machine that provides fresh pancakes...never had seen one of these before. Also REAL eggs and high quality bacon. The staff is extremely nice and helpful also. Excellent value for what you get.

I stay here just about every time I travel to Grand Island. The staff is always outstanding and the facilities are remodeled and nice. I book a stay here about every month. I have stayed at almost every hotel in Grand Island and this is my top choice.

This is probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The personnel were great, the entire place extremely clean, and it served without doubt the best and most complete breakfast we have ever been served.

This locations staff is always friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and neat. My last stay i had a heater issue and they moved me to an upgraded room with no extra charge. They take good care of me when i'm in town.

The motel was very clean and provided good service.. The beds are better than the budget motels I have visited plus they have a better than average swimming pool. Both of these justify their higher cost over the "budgets."They offer a full breakfast too. As close to route 80 as you get in Grand Island.

Our stay was for state softball tournament. Excellent customer service. Washed the teams uniforms, kept breakfast open for extended time so team could sleep in, and even cheered the girls on by purchasing them flowers, card, team mascot toy! Extremely happy with everything and would stay again!

A very nice motel with excellent maintenance. The best Western Plus has the best government rate in Grand Island for a decent motel. Rooms are clean and noise is minimal. The staff is professional in demeanor and appearance. Especially appreciated was the desk in my room with a lamp and electrical outlets high up.

We stayed at this property twice during a road trip. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and pleasing. On the return trip we discovered the pool and hot tub. Very relaxing. The overall feeling of this property was one of quiet comfort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The woman at the desk at check in actually remembered us from our other stay. I would stay here again without question. It is a little way off the freeway--but worth it.

This property I have stayed at about 8 times each year since they opened and I highly recommend this property. The cleanliness of the property is exceptional. The staff is very friendly and the management goes out of their way to help in any way they can. I greatly appreciate the free pick up and drop off at the airport. I rent also the conference room when I stay and while I work they run to the airport to pickup my wife or work associate up. I stay at many hotels and this one rates consistently excellent for me. I even received a retirement card from the staff as I stayed there this last week! They go above and beyond for their guests!

This hotel is probably one of the best overnites we have encountered while on the road. Great bed, extremely clean, comfortable room, and a great breakfast. The value for the money was excellent. The staff was helpful and courteous. I wish we could have stayed longer.

this hotel was very nice. Stacy on the staff who checked us in was helpful. Offered us a king suite at king price when they did not have the former and since we were BM reward members. I really enjoyed the International Delight Iced coffee in the dispenser at breakfast. I do not drink reg. coffee, and a hot drink gets cold, but I buy this at home and loved taking it in the car. Nice touch Grand Island.
