« Lots of Reasons to Stay Here! »

Affordable, good location just off I-75 with restaurants nearby, diverse breakfast options, indoor pool and spa, good-sized workout room, business center, helpful staff, along with clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated rooms...all of these describe the Best Western Plus Hotel in Georgetown, KY. With the Ark Encounter only a half-hour away, the large Toyota plant, horse farms, and stately mansions nearby; this was a great place to stay.

    « Tournament blues »

Nice property, reasonable rates, great breakfast but property was "over run" by college kids. Had requested ground floor due to my difficulty with stairs and maneuvering elevators - but the kids were given the ground floor and a loyal BW guest is ignored in their favor.

    « Disappointed »

After reading the wonderful reviews, I was expecting more. Although the hotel has been remodeled with newer, more modern furniture in the rooms, my room still had a cigarette smoke smell that permeated the room & hallway. I think the hotel could benefit from a deep cleaning to remove the smoke that may be in the carpets, wall paint, etc from former years of smoking. Breakfast area was small & kind of jammed. The fitness room could use a major overhaul. The night I was there the TV didn't work.

    « Great stay »

We spent one night with another couple at this hotel and it was quite nice. The service was excellent, rooms clean and very nice, bed was comfy. Breakfast was the typical motel food but the staff worked hard to replenish and the food was tasty. The staff was very helpful. Would stay here again.

Very clean, remodeled room,. Staff are very polite and professional and eager to assist you with information. Breakfast was sufficient with biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage, eggs, waffles and many other items. .The area was very clean and the lady that was in charge of the breakfast area was very helpful.. Plenty of places in the area for dinner.

    « Great Value »

Can not say enough about our overnight stay at this BW+. Will definitely stay here again when in this area. What a deal. Used $25 gift certificate so final bill before taxes was less than $50. We visited the ARK Encounter just 45min North which made it very convenient to stay here. There are other destinations in Georgetown such as the University and the Toyota plant which has tours available. But reservations need to be made a couple days ahead of time because of the popularity. The elpful desk clerk at the Hotel made sure we were aware of this fact

« Great place in the burbs »

A very nice hotel with great places to eat nearby. The room was comfortable, modern looking and clean. Cookies and popcorn were served free of charge for happy hour and the complimentary breakfast was good but was missing bacon as an offering.

    5
    « Clean and comfortable »

This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff were courteous and helpful with not only the check in and check out process but with directions and general info. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices although I would have preferred scrambled eggs rather than the preformed egg patty. Good location to Georgetown, to the Ky horse park and racetrack.

    « One Night visit »

I was traveling for pleasure and stopped in due to being tired and having a long trip. I arranged to travel to this location to rest for the remainder of my trip and previously made reservations. Finding it was easy, access was easy. Staff made me feel welcome and I had a trailer in tow so was in need of special parking. The clerk walked me to the lot and found an ideal spot to park. Extra special service.

    « Where's the Plus? »

In the past, we have often chosen Best Westerns because they are usually a good value and, being franchised, each one was different and seemed to reflect a little of the local culture. On a recent trip we stayed at two different Best Westerns. We stayed 3 nights at the Georgetown BW Plus and one night at the Sevierville BW Plus. There was little difference between them, both seemed to be made with the same "cookie cutter" with no creativity or originality. The rooms were fairly clean but drab and worn. The breakfasts lacked variety and were mostly prepackaged. In summary, BW now seems no different from other lower tier hotels.

This hotel is in great location to Lexington. I was very surprised how updated the rooms are. We has some trouble with the internet. The staff were very accommodating We will stay here again when in the area..

« Very nice for the price »

Large room and bathroom, very clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast - I would stay again. Would be nice if lighting in bathroom were a bit brighter; always nice to have a makeup mirror and working hairdryer (this property did not have either).

    « Best Western Hotel »

Very nice hotel, clean and food is good. Great area to walk dogs. Very close to dog show. Not far from very good shopping and the outlet mall is 45 mins away. The hotel has alot of amenities which looked nice but unable to use due to the dog show, food places close by. I enjoyed my stay here.

    « Great Hotel »

My family was impressed with this hotel. It was clean and furnished nicely. Rooms smelled fresh and everyone was so kind and helpful. It was easy to find off of the interstate. Nice pool; and hot tub. Temperature of pool was perfect. Breakfast was very good and had many choices. I do low carb diet and they had low carb yogurt as well as other things I could eat. This will definitely be our choice when we are in the area.

« "Wonderful place to stay with the best staff ever especially Rhagi" »

My family and I stayed at this Best Western and just like every other time it was such a wonderful, and such a home feeling!!!! The staff is always so welcoming and eager to help with anything my family needed! I also have 2 boys and a step daughter and they would rather go here than any other hotel and that's saying a lot!!! It is very clean and so comfortable and just cozy and nice! I wish there was a hotel like this with this kind of staff in every town!!!!

    « Helpful staff »

The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The breakfast worker needs some help with manners or another worker. They seem to be very busy and are not use to that. The pool and hot tub area was very nice. We liked the popcorn and cookies too.

« Wonderful place to stay. »

Have stayed here before and will stay every chance I get. Very comfortable, new mattresses, clean rooms and public areas. Great breakfast and staff. Crystal very helpful and kind. Theresa at front desk was great at making our reservation. thank you.

« This is a great hotel with an excellent staff! »

I travel to the Georgetown area frequently for business and this Best Western Plus is always my first choice for a hotel. This location has been completely remodeled over the past year or so and is very nice and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful and is among the best in the business. They have a wonderful complimentary breakfast each morning. I don't think you can find a more comfortable hotel than this one. Thanks!

    « Great Stay »

This was a very comfortable and clean place to stay! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. It was great that the pool was open late too! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others! I had the best night's sleep in a hotel I think I have ever had. Even the air conditioning was just right - not too cold or noisy like most hotels.

Very nice hotel, centrally located. Nice verity of restaurants in the area. Friendly shaft very helpful with questions ask. Shopping available in the area as well. Hotel offered popcorn and chocolate chip cookies in the evening, a very nice extra.

« Value, cleanliness, friendliness add up to excellent »

On this block there are probably 8 or 10 hotels. The area is great for interstate access, food, and gas. I was very pleased the check in staff and the efficient express check out. Hot cookies in the evening and good normal hotel hot free breakfast. The indoor pool was extremely clean. It had marble bathroom countertops, nice linens, and fabulous working ACs. I would stay here again.

« An oasis from the weather »

On a cross country motorcycle trip across Canada and the US, Georgetown just happened to the place we ended up yesterday, tired and battered from torrential rain. Best Western was everything we were looking for. King bed, jacuzzi tub, guest laundry to dry our clothes, cookies & popcorn available from 6-8pm and one of the comfiest beds we've had in 2 months of travel. The continental breakfast includes eggs, bacon & biscuits with sausage gravy as well as choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt and refreshments. Motorcycle friendly, the staff suggested parking our bike under the front lobby awning which we really appreciated. Best Western has become our #1 choice for a room with their consistently good service and clean, comfortable rooms. Thanks from two happy Canadians !!!

    « Clean Comfortable Affordable »

This hotel is above and beyond nice, super clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, large breakfast buffet with everything from cereal to fresh eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, waffles, & yogurt and more. If you are traveling in this area stay here and enjoy.

    « Great stay! »

Convenient location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than most, including some healthy options. Oatmeal and yogurt, and traditional scrambled eggs and bacon, plus more options. Will stay here again next time I am going thru this area

« Great place to stay »

Staff is helpful and caring. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Plenty of space. We stay here every year for a horse show. Very convenient location and with the great staff and amenities, you can't beat it.

« Nice stop while traveling »

We stayed at the Best Western Georgetown for one night while traveling. It was a great price, everything looked clean and updated. The room was nice and comfortable, air conditioning worked well, it was a very hot week. The pool area was nice, hot tub small but no one else was in it at the time so didn't matter. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above average for a free breakfast. I would stay there again when traveling in this area.

    5
« Excellent Value For Money »

We stayed for 2 nights during a family reunion in Georgetown. Really liked the well kept hotel in its quiet corner, close to the freeway. The room was nicely furnished and the staff was helpful. The hot breakfast was also good.

    « Traveling trucker »

I have to say what a wonderful hotel this is. Very up to date and very helpful caring staff. Very reasonable price and nice location. I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay here. Unfortunately this will be my last review for quite sometime as I have switched jobs. Thanks for making my stay so nice.

    3
    « Average value »

The hotel had three floors. Each floor had two AC units stationed at the opposite end of the long hallway. I was on the second floor and the hallway AC unit closest to my room was inoperable making the hallway very very hot and uncomfortable. The AC unit in my room was turned off prior to my arrival on a 90 plus degree day so the room itself was very warm when I checked in. Once the AC unit was switched on it began a long journey to cool the room and its contents. I always travel with a small fan and I placed it in front of the room AC unit and its power was the extra horsepower needed to being the room temperature down. This hotel served a hot breakfast and I had the eggs and bacon which were good but not great. The front desk personnel were very accommodating and helpful. In defense of the staff I did not report the hallway AC problem-- lesson learned. I chose Best Western because I had just stayed at a renovated BW in tiny Flora Illinois where I had an OUTSTANDING visit.

« Nice place to stay »

The Best Western Plus was a nice place to stay. We stayed there one night while we were on a trip to see the Ark in Williamstown KY. It was not too far from there and there were plenty of places to eat very near the hotel. It was easy to get off and on I-75. We did not use the pool or other amenities except for breakfast.

    « CLC Members Alert »

What an awesome place to stay for the price! The service was absolutely amazing, the grounds are beautiful, and clean! They offered a market place for snacks; opposed to stale out of date vending machine food. Fresh popcorn was free for the guest, and was buttered appropriately. When I first opened the door to my room, I was surprised how awesome the floor was. I have pictures to show the wood-styled tiled floor and in the pic you can see the bathroom floor with it's large tiles too. The place was clean!! The best thing about the room were the convenient plugins and usb port charging capability built right into the wall (no more moving dressers and reaching for ages to plug your charger in). I will for sure be staying here everytime I am in Georgetown, KY! Thanks for honoring CLC Best Western Plus!

« Great place to stay »

We really enjoyed our stay with the plush furnishings in our kitchenette suit. The little touches like big bathroom with granite countertops, real tissues in a tissue dispenser and big comfortable leather chairs with a granite side table. Our bed was extremely comfortable and we never heard anyone in the hall or other rooms. It made for a great night sleep. The breakfast had a large selection of fresh hot food, more than other hotels, and I was impressed of their cook and how often the hot food was refilled. The seating area was large with plenty of tables also. Great stay!

« Nice Place to Stay Near Ark Encounter and Kentucky Horse Park »

We had a nice stay, and slept well. Ark Encounter and the Kentucky Horse Park were close by. It was nice to find a few others that were going to Ark Encounter, and socialize with them. We had a nice breakfast including do-it-yourself waffles. There is an indoor swimming pool, and an exercise room. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, both fast food, and mid-range priced ones.

« Best Western Georgetown Kentucky »

My wife and I stay at Best Westerns for both leisure and business trips. This Best Western is one of the finest Best Westerns we've encountered. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and courteous. The room was exceptionally nice with all amenities working properly. This hotel is well maintained. The room was quiet with no outside noise interference. This location is an easy in-out location off of I-75. 7-8 minutes to the Kentucky Horse Park. A highly recommended hotel. You won't be disappointed.

    5
    « Enjoyable stay »

Room was clean, comfortable, and free of noise, as well as a good value. We will stay there again since we come here every year for a family reunion. They did all they could to accommodate us being able to attend church before checking out, too, which was a big plus for us.

« Best Value in Hotels »

This hotel made me feel better than if I was at home. Clean spacious comfortable room. Price was great. Warm cookies and popcorn in the downstairs. Breakfast was fantastic! I will stay again soon. There is a real nice pool. The coffee is the best of any hotel I have been to. The hotel staff is very helpful and nice. Restaurants are near by and very good. If you have kids I do not think you could go wrong staying here. There is a speedway nearby and they have Ale 8 one on the fountain. It is back in the corner all by itself too. Very quiet and the bed was really comfortable.

    « All we needed! »

Highly recommended hotel, the staff were professional, friendly & knowledgeable of the area. The room was comfortable & well maintained. A good selection for breakfast items & a small marketplace for extra snacks or forgotten items. Easily accessed & very close to the Interstate for travelers. Great area for cycling routes too!

    « Nice and Clean »

Stayed here while my daughter went to basketball camp at Georgetown. Staff was extremely helpful. (getting bag for ice when daughter was injured, allowing us to use fax to recieve her insurance info, and canceling our next day stay since we had to leave early.)

« Smoke and cleanliness issues = no stay for us »

I had a reservation at this location, and we were pleased with the location and common areas, but the first room we were directed to smelled strongly of smoke. Apparently someone in a nearby room had been lighting up, and the front desk said this was the second report and they intended to address it. Unfortunately, that doesn't help for the night in question, so we asked to be moved to a different room; the woman at the front desk was apologetic and immediately provided a room on a different floor at the other end of the building. Unfortunately that room had cleanliness issues (what appeared to be a small bloodstain on one set of bedding, a yellow stain on the other, and some kind of winged bugs on the sheers and drapery - not sure what kind, didn't want to stick around long enough to figure it out). We gave up, and found alternate lodging for the night. The manager contacted me the next day about the issues, and offered a free stay if we were in town in the future (unlikely, but appreciated). He apologized for the issues, and said they were able to track down the guest who was smoking and take care of that, and that the second room was taken out of inventory to address the problems we encountered. So while we didn't opt to stay, it sounds like they are on top of things. Hopefully others have better luck.

    « Great choice for a night. »

Very friendly staff. We had a very clean and comfortable room. Pool was very clean. The whole hotel was top notch. Breakfast was good, with a good choice of items. We will stop there again when in the area.

« Excellent Best Western near Lexington »

This was a great choice for anyone visiting Lexington and/or the neighboring horse farms. We stayed two nights and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean... It was also convenient to the main highways.

    5
« Excellent Value for UK visit »

We stayed here during UK Orientation. It was an easy drive to UK. The hotel was very clean. We had two beds which were comfortable. There was a decent breakfast: egg patties, sausages, biscuits & gravy, waffles that you cook yourself. The pool was warm and clean. The hot tub was very hot - too hot. The only downside was that there were no towel bars in the bathroom, just 4 hooks. Towels don't really get dry hanging on hooks. We will definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Very nice »

Staff was extremely helpful. I had a broken item in my room and they were there within 10 min to fix it! Everyone was very courteous and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Georgetown area!

    5
« Very clean and friendly »

Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Pillows were awesome. The hotel serves popcorn and cookies at night and have a hot breakfast in the morning (eggs were powdered, I hope they fix that).

    5
    « Wonderful service »

Our room was just right for our needs. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The best part was waking up to a wonderful breakfast served by Chrystal. She was friendly and efficient. Breakfast is my only real meal and it was always wonderful.

    4
« Friendly staff and great pool »

No complaints especially when staff greet you so warmly and the rooms are clean. Once again there seems to be a shortage of staff at peak check in but again they are friendly and try very hard to serve everybody in a timely manner.

    5
« Best of the BestWestern »

This location was one of the best experiences in a long time. The desk personnel were genuinely friendly. The room was very pet friendly and comfortable. The breakfast was fully loaded and the attendant was the nicest and most pleasant person at a very early hour. Cudos to the management.

    5
« Perfect fit for us!! »

We decided at the last minute to travel last weekend and found a king suite with a jacuzzi!!! I was NOT disappointed at all. I took advantage of the in room jacuzzi located in the suite in from of TV.

    4
    « Satisfied »

The price was excellent for a room with two queen sized beds. Clean, friendly service. The only complaint I have is our room was at the end of the hallway overlooking the parking lot. Since we were on the 2nd floor, the light in the parking lot was right outside and level with our window. Daytime all the time! The curtains blocked most of it. Other than that, pretty good accommodations.

« Room was very clean, comfortable, and newly renovated. Will be our "go to" hotel when in the area!! »

We were very pleasantly surprised with our room. It was very clean and comfortable and appeared to have been recently and nicely renovated. The person who checked us in at the front desk was very pleasant and kind. The popcorn and cookies were appreciated that evening. The free breakfast was great, everything was delicious and there was a large selection of foods and drinks. The young man who was in charge of the breakfast was very pleasant and attentive. Having read earlier reviews, we were aware that the hotel was tucked away toward the end of Darby Drive surrounded by other hotels, so we had no difficulty finding it. We will definitely make this our "go to" hotel when in the area.

    3
    « needs some work »

Property okay but difficult to find, sort of tucked away at end of Darby Drive surrounded by other hotels. I give it a 3 rating mostly because it is a plus property where I do expect more, had I stayed with a "just" Best Western property it would have had a higher rating. Now for why the mark down. 1. Arrived at around 9 p.m. I think, possibly later. There were only two rooms available, a handicapped room with a king bed, and the other room a King bedroom with Jacuzzi tub, I chose the handicapped room. Front desk clerk mentioned that the room was available because the people who were going to rent the room decided against it once they saw the room and it didn't meet their need, but don't be alarmed if the lights are on they were just up there. Because I had not eaten dinner decided to go out to get something to eat and didn't check out the whole room and didn't see until the a.m. when getting ready to shower that I noticed that the people had washed their hands using one of the bars of soap and one hand towel, my guess is that the toilet had been used. Comment: room should have been checked out to assure that room was clean. 2. Next morning took shower, shower knob questionable to use, wonder if their had been a handicapped person the tightness of the knob would have caused problems. 3. Floor did have some dirty areas, spots that at first looked like part of the floor pattern but after closer inspection and a little water discovered that spots were actually spots. 4. Grout was dirty and in need of cleaning. To their credit a gentleman at the front desk, I think possibly the maintenance man did thank me for pointing the problems and that it would be taking care of. 5. Opened the bedside table, handle fell off. 6. Towel racks were not level, minor irritation from a personal preference as was the TV as well. 7. Elevator was slow, but a major concern was the dirt and grime I saw in the door tracks, this makes you wonder if their might be other cleaning issues. 8. Fit and finish of sink counter not good, frame was exposed on one corner. Now, again had this been any other property other than a PLUS property some of these issues would have been overlooked somewhat but would only have given any other property one more star. To be fair to this property the bed was comfortable, I slept well and the room was relatively quiet and would be adequate for the traveler. Also it should be mentioned that I am a former hotel general manager and do expect a lot and probably notice things the normal traveler wouldn't notice. So it is a decent place to stay and I'm confident after talking with front desk that these minor issues will be addressed.

    4
    « Newly renovated »

This is the third time we've stayed at this property in the last year, the renovations are completed and it's a very nice hotel with very friendly staff. This property has one of the better breakfast options all similar priced hotels.

    5
« Very nice hotel convenient to the interstate »

This was a good hotel with a comfortable bed and nice breakfast. It is tucked away behind the main road so it was a little tricky to find. We arrived late and walked to a nearby restaurant. It was a comfortable room and the hotel lived up to Best Western expectations.

    5
    « Bike Friendly »

Stayed there for the Horsey Hundred Cycling event over Memorial weekend. Very nice stay and they were very welcoming to all the cyclists. They had the breakfast area open at 6 a.m. which worked perfect for cyclists wanting to get an early start. I will definitely stay there for next years ride.

« Give Best Western Plus a try »

We stayed at Best Western overnight after a water line emergency left our home with no water. I looked online and Best Western had the best rates in our town so we decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did! The hotel lobby is lovely. Check in was a breeze and the employees were nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is definitely worth the value and if we need to stay close to home we will choose Best Western again

    « Just Like Home »

I drive from Atlanta to Detroit a couple of times a year and need to have an overnight stop near the halfway point. I was pleasantly surprised staying here. The hotel is new and the decor pleasing. I like the fact that warm cookies and popcorn were available free to guests from 6-9 pm. I didn't use the pool but It was clean and inviting, along with the whirlpool. I'll bring a swimsuit next time. They also have a computer room, washer and dryer, and fitness room. Price was reasonable. I will definitely be back.

What a great hotel, we were welcomed brightly by Leslie, who helped us with a decision where to eat with out driving. It was raining but we could walk a short distance to a couple of fast food outlets.

« Great for a one night vacation stop »

We wondered whether this would be a good place to stop and were certainly glad that we did. A newer building in a great location near the Interstate with a good selection of nearby restaurants. Every interaction with a staff member was pleasant and our wants were quickly taken care of. The room was very nice, well furnished except we discovered we couldn't see the alarm clock in the dark. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, The breakfast was nice and well presented in a clean uncrowded room. Everything we wanted was available. All in all a great choice for an overnight srop.

    5
    « EXCELLENT PLACE »

We chose this hotel during our re-location from Cleveland to Tallahassee. It is pet friendly with a $20 fee. Easy on/off access to the interstate. They will provide you with a list of local restaurants at the front desk. Breakfast is great.

    « Derby weekend »

Chose to stay here to avoid high cost Louisville hotels during Derby weekend. Staff was very welcoming. Accommodated requests, gave us bottled water and served popcorn and cookies 6-8pm. Breakfast was also great. Lobby had appearances of fresh paint and touch-ups. Overall was clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants close-by as well.

« Great hotel and awesome staff »

    « Best Western - Georgetown, KY »

Stayed in the Penthouse Room. Very disappointed, refrigerator was lukewarm, toilet made screaming noises, entire room was dirty, had to clean the whirlpool tub prior to using. The room claimed to have a king size bed, only a Queen .

Currently staying at this hotel for 10 days for horse show. We stay at a lot of hotels and this ranks at the top for friendly staff and excellent customer service!! Every staff member has been awesome and helpful with a smile every time. Beds are comfortable and rooms are beautifully decorated, also housekeepers clean room daily and do an excellent job. Very quiet, never hear a peep all night. Business center w 2 computers and printer which are free of charge and easy to use. Full work out area, which my daughter loves! Cookies and popcorn every evening just add something extra to an already wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Georgetown! Also, very close and easy access to Kentucky Horse Park.

excellent accommodations and amenities for a stay rate at the upper middle class level. Using an AAA card etc. brings the rate to a reasonable spot. Easily accessible to the Kentucky Horse park where our business is temporarily located. Good breakfast/newspapers/self service pantry/internet area.

    « It was OK... »

We were going to a horse show at the horse park and booked a room. The one they had left was a King suite, "penthouse" with kitchenette. It was big and some of it upgraded but some of it was weird. You had to walk up the stairs and enter a living room that had some furniture so it did not have a pull out couch, it was a loveseat that had a trundle. It was not comfortable to sleep on because it kept coming apart in the middle. It did have new flooring. There was a separate bedroom but it was a queen bed not the king we were told it was. That had old carpet that was dated. The bathroom was not a typical hotel bathroom, it has a very small corner shower, you had just enough room to turn around. The toilet kept running. There was mold and dirt on the shower door and the toilet paper holders were falling off the wall. The refrigerator was warm so I am not sure it was working. The room looked like it had not had a good cleaning. There was a hottub in the bedroom too and some of the tile was falling off. Looks like they tried to upgrade it but they still have work to do. We did not try the breakfast, it smelled like something was burning.

« The good, the bad and the ugly »

We returned to his hotel after four years but next time we'll try somewhere else. While is it pretty good for a Best Western the housekeeping was not great and they were swapping out old mattresses for new mattresses which meant there were piles of mattresses everywhere, including a ten foot ugly pile of them right outside our window. The breakfast was pretty good and the clerks were friendly enough.

My sisters and nieces make an annual getaway to attend the Rolex 4 Star event at the Kentucky Horse Park. We discovered the Best Western Plus Georgetown KY 4 years ago and have been very happy with our stays. All the staff have always been very pleasant and accommodating and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Good breakfast , helpful staff, good location.

« Outstanding Value and Quality »

This hotel has recently been remodeled from top to bottom. The rooms are beautiful, quiet, and well appointed. The beds are excellent, and the linens are top notch. The hot breakfast buffet was considerably above your average "free" hotel breakfast. The room prices are very reasonable. This hotel provides solid value. Oh yes, and Leslie on the front desk is a delight.

    « POSITIVELY PERFECT »

We have stayed in many, many hotels as we travel a lot. This Best Western is by far, the absolute best place we have stayed in. The staff is superb, very respectful, courteous and friendly. Our room was exceptional. It was clean, fresh and now cramped at all, it was quite roomy and spacious. The grounds are well kept as is the entire facility. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with hot fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, bisquits & gravy, waffles, cereal (both hot & cold), fresh fruit and pastries. We travel from Ohio to the south and this will definitely be our way-stop from now on. The Manager and front desk staff are extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone traveling to this Kentucky region. With children or simply a couple, this facility is the greatest.

    « Great Value: A Little Noisy »

Stayed here on a recent trip to visit my daughter at Georgetown College. This was by far the cheapest room of the major brands out near the highway (Interstate 75). Since my daughter is a freshman and we plan more visits in the coming year, I wanted to check it out. The check in was very easy and quick, a nice clean lobby and pleasant staff greeted us. Surprise! Hot chocolate chip cookies awaited us! We were given room 103 which is first floor and just 20 yards off the lobby. The room was very well appointed, with modern furniture and bathroom, with manufactured flooring in bath and entryway and carpet around the bed. TV had several HBO channels and all news/sports channels. There was free hot popcorn offered from 6-8PM, so after a dinner out on the town we came back to the room and managed to get some free popcorn before it shut down at 8PM. While we didn't have time on this visit, there was an indoor pool and hot tub, something we will keep in mind for future visits. While the bed was comfortable, the night was a little noisy. It wasn't horrible, but enough to wake you up a few times. I am not sure if this is due to the room being so close to the lobby, or if it is just a fault with the hotel in general. I would give them another try, but will request a room further from the lobby next time. Good hot breakfast with the usual choices of eggs, sausages, waffles, bread, cereal. The eggs were "prepared" so not as nice as some other chains, but overall breakfast was of reasonable quality. I would recommend to give this a try if you need to stay in the Georgetown area in the near future. Good value for your money, clean, and lots of little goodies like popcorn and cookies and breakfast. You might request a room further from the lobby to see if it is a little quieter.

Find it hard to go elsewhere when traveling back home from Florida. Very friendly staff and having easy on off access to I-75. There is also the added benefit of being close to family style restaurants.

After driving for 13 hours straight, we like a clean and friendly place to prepare for the next days driving. We found it here. Friendly and accommodating staff. Plan to return next trip home. We did not any of the facilities, because we were too tired.

We have stayed at other Best Westerns and other hotel chains. This Best Western in Georgetown,Ky. is by far the absolute best, Best Western we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. It's very clean, great accommodations, very friendly, respectful and courteous employees. Breakfast was hot and fresh and truly enjoyable. We will be staying here again. You can't go wrong with staying here.

« Leslie! Leslie! Leslie! and a Great Place to Stay »

I would have given this hotel and Leslie a rating of 10 if I could. Leslie was extremely helpful and exceeded any customer service expectation I had. Best Western should be very proud to have her representing them. Management is great and so were the staff members who work there. The hotel is clean, the rooms are quiet, spacious, newly remodeled and comfortable. The location is very convenient. A variety of restaurants are within walking distance. There are a number of big box stores located about a half mile away. I came for the Keeneland races and found it easy and quick access from this location. I am a picky hotel quest and I repeatedly stay here when I am in town. It only gets better. The cookies are a plus. You get more than you pay for here. Highly recommend.

We recently stopped at this hotel. They were filled by went to great lengths to help us find another nearby hotel that had vacancy. They were very pleasant and very competent. « Why we love Best West »

I was very impressed with the welcome I received from the front desk clerk Leslie. She was so very nice and there were cookies and popcorn to greet us. The room was very pretty and very comfortable. The only negatives were that the hot tub was out of service, but it was marked and was being serviced. The hotel was also very easily accessed via the freeway.

    « Surprise »

On returning from Indiana, we stayed at the BW Plus (we have stayed here several times over the years) and I was surpised that the light control in my room was much better. Our room this time, had a valance that kept the light from spilling over the top of the drapes and bouncing off the ceiling (which was the case on our last visit). This made for a much better night's sleep. The room and bathroom were both clean and neat. Housekeeping had not replaced the coffee packets from the prior guest, as there was only two packets of de-caf, no regular coffee. The breakfast was okay, but the powdered eggs have to go. The sausages were fine, the waffles had an added choice of chocolate chip batter, the biscuits and gravy were fine, as was the juice and fruit choices. We did advise the front desk of the coffee problem when we checked out.

    « Pleasant surprise »

I have to say this was the nicest Best Western we have stayed in! The rooms were very large, very clean and recently renovated. We felt comfortable after a long drive. Beds were great and we had no problem falling asleep! The best part was the rate which was very reasonable .There is an indoor pool but we were too tired to make use of it. The breakfast was very good! I highly recommend this hotel and it is really easy to find. It's all good!

« a good economical place to stay »

We had a household emergency so we had to get a motel in town... For the price we paid with a senior discount, this was an excellent stay. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. This property is easily accessible from the I-75 126 exit, but no interstate or significant local noise. The BW is very close to several eating establishments, and about 10 minutes from the heart of Lexington. Cookies and popcorn in the evening, typical breakfast fare. Friendly and accommodating staff. I would highly recommend considering this or any of the better Georgetown motels if you're visiting the area. However, I'm sure that during the Keeneland meets and other big events in the area that this place fills quickly.

    « Great hotel. »

We don't normally stay at Best Western but chose this for the reviews. The room was lovely , well kept, spotless, and we slept well. Breakfast was better than most. I liked the crockpot of oatmeal with the cooked cherry filling that was one of the choices in the condiment rack. My husband had the eggs and bacon , sausage and gravy. We were happy to see two people attending in the morning. No one was rushed and everything was clean and attended to.

« Smell the cookies at the front desk! »

I have stayed routinely at Best Western motels for years and it was a lovely way to greet guests at the check in desk. The tray was emptied during the time I was checking in and after settling in and going out for gas for my vehicle....a new batch had been made apparently because other guests had asked about them. That showed how much Leslie was wanting to please those who had had a long day. Kudoos, for Leslie. I will plan on staying here again on my trips between Ontario and Florida.

    3
    « Pretty average »

The hotel and staff was about what you would expect at a Best Western. One of the handles was was pulled off a night stand and was left hanging and one of the bed's linens appeared not to have been changed. The first room we were assigned had been smoked in but the staff quickly gave us an other room. We thought that the room was "pricey" for the overall quality of the product.

this is the 2nd time I stayed here and the remodel job was very nice. It is located convienently to the location we were staying in the area for and there were plenty of retail store in the area also. I was very happy that the beds were blocked because we travel with 2 cats and it can be very difficult to catch them under the bed when it is time to put them back in their cages to leave. We have had problems at other hotels with this being a issue. That is why I like the Best Western hotel. Hopefully it will continue to be the same way because they were doing renovations at this Georgetown hotel. Pleas keep the pet rooms with the beds blocked underneath that is such a big help for the pet rooms.

Great place to stay! Rooms are big and super clean, nice ceiling fan in bedroom and exhaust fan in bathroom to keep the room feeling fresh. Great breakfast and the pool area was well kept as well! They are 5 minutes from Kentucky Horse Park and tons of restaurants to choose from. Short ride to downtown Lexington. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our party switched to a hotel in Lexington mid trip due to reservations made before hand and we all regretted it.

« Great place to stay! »

I've been working a lot in Georgetown Kentucky over the past nine months and have been staying at this Best Western frequently. My wife came with me for this most recent trip and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. With the recent renovations and updates the rooms and the entire facility look really nice. They have a great staff that is extremely helpful and accommodating for our every need and request. The breakfast buffet is excellent. You'll find this Best Western an excellent location for either business or pleasure. It's my first choice when traveling in the Georgetown Kentucky area.

    « Wonderul surprise »

We came to Lexington for business in January. I had not stayed a Best Western in many years. It was a very pleasant surprise indeed to find all the upgrades this hotel had. The staff was professional, helpful, friendly, and the amenities were comparable to the next door properties. When we had to return to Lexington for business in March, I knew just the place. This Best Western can easily be rated three stars. I would not hesitate to recommend it for friends and family to stay there when we move to Kentucky.

    « Best Western - Georgetown, KY »

We were looking for a hotel to stay at while we visited Kentucky Horse Farm. We have never stayed at a Best Western before but Trivago posted high ratings so we decided to try it. This hotel was a wonderful experience for the price! We plan on using Best Western in the future. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway and was very close to Kentucky Horse Farm. The breakfast provided was delicious. Georgetown is a quaint town and, we were only a short drive to Lexington & Richmond.

    « Just a little disappointed »

We have stayed at this property in years past, and just feel that it has lost some of its luster. I really do question the Best Western "Plus" designation. The cookies and popcorn were welcome, and the breakfast was good - great selection. I think the property could use some updating. The folks at the desk were very nice.

Our experience at this facility was excellent in all aspects. The facility is clean, modern, and just far enough off the highway to be quiet. Most memorable was the service during check-in and check-out. Welcoming and sincere, the girl at the front counter did everything possible to make my stay comfortable. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the internet worked flawlessly. The temperature in the room was easy to control and quiet A very positive experience.

We have stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Georgetown KY for several years on our travels to Atlanta to visit our son and his family. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with many items to choose from. After 6:00pm in the evening popcorn and chocolate chip cookies are available for the guests. We try to book ahead, so as not to be disappointed. We already have our trip booked for April 2016.

Traditionally we have stayed at a national competitor's chain, but their quality and service was gradually getting worse. « Excellent Experience »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our return trip from Florida. The hotel is affordable and ideally located immediately off the I75. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. After a very long day of driving, it was a welcome respite. We were leaving very early the next morning and, because we would miss the complementary breakfast, the Manager offered to arrange for a gift bag of portable breakfast treats. Such superb customer service!! When is the last time someone did that for you!

« Wonderful Suite, friendly, helpful staff. »

Stayed here in Dec 2015. All regular rooms were booked but the manager/owner offered us the upstairs suite at a discounted rate. We also had a $25 Best Western gift card that brought the price of the suite down to $115. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and though we didn't require any assistance, the manager offered to help us carry our things up to the suite. The suite has a very spacious living area w/tv, full kitchen with full size cookstove and fridge (plus a smaller fridge) cupboards stocked with necessary utensils & dishes. Bedroom has a large jacuzzi tub and also a TV. This suite offers ultimate privacy, you have a level all to yourself, very cool. Continental breakfast was very good. The lady attending to the breakfast area was very helpful when we asked her what would be a good thing to go do while in the area. She suggested 'Old Friends Farm' a retired race horse farm. We did attend and thoroughly enjoyed it, even got to meet the horse that played Seabiscuit in the movie, very cool. Would certainly stay here again if the chance would arise.

« Nice room and excellent breakfast experience »

The morning staff in the breakfast eatery (1 person in particular) is amazing, and the selections of breakfast items is very good. We drove 3 hours further than planned and spent more $ than we planned to in order to visit this hotel for the 2nd time on our return trip home from vacation, due to our first stay at this hotel (which we purchased for almost 30 dollars less the first time on Hotwire). The breakfast room staffer we enjoyed immensely was very personable without being overbearing and went out of her way to make sure we were served well and enjoying our breakfast. Everything in the eating area was very neat, clean and well stocked. She seemed inexhaustible as she bussed everyone's table to clear dirty plates and napkins in addition to her other prep duties. My first impression of the front desk staff was not as supremely favorable, but was sufficient (could be a little friendlier). The rooms are spacious, attractive and clean. If not for an amazing breakfast and the staffer there (its rare to see such pride in a job very well done these days), we would have shopped on Hotwire again to spend less and stayed within an 8 hour car ride in selecting our hotel.

    5
    « Excellent Value »

We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. It was just as posh and convenient as any 5 star hotel we've stayed in at 3 or 5 times the cost. Though near the highway, the rooms were very quiet. The hot breakfast was very well catered.

    « Nice stay »

This was a very clean hotel. Check in was flawless and the room appeared to be newly renovated. All the staff that we had contact with was very friendly. The kitchen staff was very quick to clean plates away and breakfast wasn't bad, better than some. I did mention to the desk clerk at checkout that our shower wasn't as hot as I would have liked. My husband said his shower wasn't hot either. She said she would mention it to management. Run your air conditioner/heater at night as there was street noise but I was too tired to get up and turn it on. We would stay here again, if we found ourselves in the area again.

« Not bad for the money »

Our AARP rate for this hotel was $79.33 (including taxes). The previous night, we stayed in a Hampton that cost almost twice that. For the money, this was a good hotel. The bed wasn't as comfortable (one of those that the entire mattress moves when someone turns over), and the breakfast food wasn't the same caliber, but otherwise it was fine. It is right off the highway and easy to find. We tried to walk laps around their parking lot, but it doesn't go all the way around (and there's quite a bit of trash out back). Went to the hotel next door and used their lot to walk. The room is large and well equipped with fridge, micro, etc. - everything you need. There was a strange situation with the lights....the switch by the front door turned on the lights beside the bed, but you had to have that switch on in order for the nightstand outlets to work. But, if you left that switch on at night, the entry light stays on. So our phones didn't charge overnight. Just odd. Not sure if Room 306 is a remodeled room, but the bathroom, especially the shower area, showed lots of wear and tear. They had nice hair/lotion products and good towels, but the tissue products were a bit thin. Breakfast was good, but they could use more whole grain products. Lots of good fixins for waffles and oatmeal. Eggs were the pre-formed kind and hard boiled. Had sausage gravy, yogurt, pastries, etc. Lady who took care of it was on top of things and very helpful. Was nice she offered fresh brewed coffee as an alternative! Not sure we'd stay here again....might venture downtown where there are less chain restaurants. Overall, our room was very quiet, and service was good.

Great place to get a good nights rest before continuing a long trip. Woke up rested and ready to face a new day. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable - slept like a baby ! I'd recommend this to anyone passing through Lexington and in need of a comfortable and clean hotel.

« Great Over Night Stay »

We put up for the night when we were tired of driving. A competing motel a few doors down did not have a jacuzzi and suggested this motel. We wanted the jacuzzi to unwind and relax from the day on the road. The jacuzzi in this room was a large comfortable one - not just a tub with jets. The room was fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate for a motel breakfast. We needed to do some quick shopping in the morning before we hit the road again. Everything we needed (and more) was within a mile. And it was a good rate for the night to make the night's stay even sweeter.

« Enjoy yourself at this hotel. »

This hotel has easy access from I-75. The people (especially the young lady on the front desk) were really friendly. The room was clean and fresh and the breakfast area was very well stocked with food. The hostess at breakfast was humorous and friendly. We will stay there again our return from Florida in April 2016.

    « WONDERFUL HOTEL »

I arrived early, without a reservation and spoke to Ragi at the desk. She was very friendly and helpful. I had been traveling a long way and requested a room with a jacuzzi which I was provided. The jacuzzi worked great and the entire room was extremely clean and newly renovated. The new headboards and vanity in the bathroom were very nice. There was also a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The TV was mounted at a perfect height so you could easily watch from the bed. There was also nice reading lamps which I used at night so the main lights could be off as I was unwinding. The bed was wonderful and I got a great nights sleep. They had a nice marketplace with numerous food and beverage options for guests. They also had a very nice fitness center and a lavish pool and hot tub area. They also offered a washer and dryer for guests convenience. The business center was nice and had a printer and copier for guests to use. The lobby was large and nicely decorated for Christmas and was very welcoming. The breakfast area was large and had many options for all guests. At checkout I had no problems and it was fast and easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! I have stayed at several Best Westerns in years passed- and this one is by far the best!!

I was a little skeptical due to the price I found on hotels.com. I was quite surprised as the room was very modern, clean, and very comfortable. We will be staying at this hotel next year on my way to Cleveland, OH from Georgia. Great room, breakfast, and staff.

    « Great hotel right off I-75 »

This was my first stay at a BW Plus and I would stay at another, especially this gem in Georgetown, KY. I was on a long journey from Northern Michigan back to Atlanta and stopped here to rest for the night. This hotel was well appointed, nice accommodations, very clean and a great free breakfast. Aaron was our front desk staff and he made our stay exceptional! Highly recommend this hotel.

    « Wonderful Staff »

We had a perfect experience at this hotel...great staff, very clean and eye appealing interior and exterior. We were greeted each morning at breakfast by a wonderful attendant. Breakfast was delicious and lots to chose from. There was popcorn and cookies (hot out of the oven) offered each night. I would highly recommend this hotel and all it has to offer.

« Great Value For The Price »

I recently stayed for 5 nights and found the property to be very user friendly. From the staff, to the room, to the pool and hot tub, to the complimentry breakfast,,,,everything was very nice. The location is an easy ride to Lexington center and also to visit local horse farms. Plenty of nice restaurants in the area. Would book again next time I visit the area.

I frequently visit Georgetown with my new business venture. My first stay here was because of the ease of access to the hotel from highway 75, great reviews, food options within walking distance and great dine in choices. This Best Western has become my only choice of hotel in Georgetown. Clean newly renovated rooms, decent choice in hot breakfast and super friendly staff. Ragi on the front desk was very helpful.

i travel frequently from north to south and this hotel was the best! The room was beautifully decorated with super comfortable beds - pet friendly, a very tasty hot breakfast the following morning. An excellent rate for a senior! But most importantly, after a long day of driving Karleda was working that evening and the most pleasant and helpful gal. I was out to ask her many questions - helped me get connected to Internet - helped with directions and I recommend this hotel for a very positive experience. Karleda is an asset to your hotel and I will travel there again. Carolyn W.

« Snowbirds best option: worth the money »

This hotel is estrategically located to easy access and exit 75. It offers delicious breakfast with scramble eggs, bacon, wafkes and bread and pastries . Also, yogurts and bananas . The bed is comfortable , especially for people with back problems the semi hard matress is the perfect one. The pool and the jacuzzi work the year around and it's so clean . Between 5-8' for free the best oatmeal and raising cookies and popcorn. We will come back for sure ! Highly recommended

« Very helpful front desk »

This hotel is reasonably close to the Alltech Arena and horse shows. Our room was reasonable but it smelled of smoke although it was a non-smoking hotel. They put a room deodorizing machine in the room and that helped. The hallway was also kind of smelly. The breakfast was reasonable.

« Super Nice BW in Georgetown (Lexington, KY) »

Stayed at this joint for 3 days while in town for the 2015 Breeders' Cup at Keeneland. Slept well which afforded me time to gamble like a madman at the races; Also used their wonderful Indoor swimming pool to refresh early mornings before degenerate gambling on the horses in the afternoon. Little internet business center was nice with 2 computers and printer. Comp breakfast was far better than most hotels with kind waitress and fresh food inc sausages, bacon, scrambled eggies, waffles, OJ, etc. Only negative was I gained 17lbs on this trip.

place looks average on th outside on a deadend strip on chain restaurants and chain hotels. expectations were rather low BUT this place is great. looks like it was just redone, clean, spacious, well lit...everything looks great. room was huge with a nice working area, couches, tables. simply great. breakfast was hot with a big selection, employees were happy and helpful. nothing wrong with this place and it just might become my "go to " hotel in the lexington area.

    « One night stopover »

Stopped here for the night en route to N.C. The hotel itself is pretty standard, a higher-end Best Western. The only real problem I had was that there seemed to be a bunch of kids running around running around in and out of the pool area and making quite a bit of noise. I assume this was just the fact that I was happened to be there on the wrong day, so I don't hold it against the hotel. Overall, I would stay here again.

« In a constant state of FLux »

I have stayed at this location on and off for the last 6 months. My last experience was less than okay. I requested a kitchenette room. Apparently, the 3rd floor used to be reserved for smokers. But new local laws have now banned smoking inside the facility. Sadly, the management chose NOT to replace or even try to clean the carpets, drapes and furniture in the 3rd floor rooms. they just STINK like smoke!

Did not have a reservation, area very busy, was very glad to book a room here, very friendly staff, clean and room was nice. The location was convenient, very interesting place to visit. I had heard a lot about the area, it was better than what I had heard.

    « Pleasant Stay »

The bed was extremely comfortable, however, since the hotel was in a "remodel status" there were a couple of issues but were not a big deal. There were workers making a lot of noise at times next to my room. (sawing hammering etc.) Also I used the fitness gym three times and on two occasions there was a water leak of some nature over the elliptical machine I was using which meant I cut my workout short. On the third fitness workout the leak and been fixed/repaired and I was able to complete my workout.

    « 10 night stay »

We stayed here for 10 nights as my family is from Gtown. Even though they were doing renos, and almost complete, the hotel itself is pretty nice!! You can tell they've done some work on the rooms. We ended up in the room next to the lift, and above the plant room. So needless to say it was a bit noisy from all of that but by night 2 we were used to the noise. The rooms are nice, big and spacious. The bathrooms are a bit smaller, but the showers were pretty nice and actually had water pressure!! :) Everyone was really nice at the front desk every time we went past, came in, and even when we left. We had ordered lots of things online and they even took our boxes and got rid of them for us. The wifi was ok. Wasn't too fast. It's located next to lots of places to eat, and gas stations! I'd stay here again.

    « Disappointing! »

We have not stayed in a Best Western before and I must say, I'm not sure we will do so again. First of all upon our arrival we found the rooms were not adjoining as we were told they would be, the refrigerator was not on, so we could not transfer our cooler items into it to keep cold for our next day of travelling and there was an order throughout the building. The buffet breakfast was nice, but the scrambled eggs and sausage was cold (at least the waffle maker was working and the breakfast server was attentive).

This was our second time staying at this property in the last three months. While the pool and hot tub were completed this time there is still renovations that need to be completed to make the stay a 10.

« Average stay, but noisy »

The hotel is going through some updating on the outside, however, some is needed on the inside also. Our bathroom was nice looking, as some of the pictures show, but the ceiling had some grey stuff above the shower, not sure what it was. The shower felt good, but the tub floor seemed soft and not level. The bedding was wrinkly. The bed was average. Our room had an door adjoining it to the room next door. In the room next door was some college tennis players. They were extremely noisy from the moment they arrived. On the first night, we could hear them laughing and carrying on still at 2:30 am. The second night, I called the front desk at 1:30am to ask if they could ask them to keep it down. The front desk responded nicely to me and took care of the issue immediately. The breakfast was average, nothing special. Overall, the stay was just ok. The staff was wonderful which is a major positive for this hotel. The hotel itself needs some improvements. If we were to visit the area again, we would choose another location.

    « Great hotel »

I got a king bed room for 2 nights. Room was great really all I needed. Very clean and the bathroom was pretty nice had granite or some sort of looking tabletop so it was modern looking. It was a little pricey but I suppose anything is nowadays. The hotel offered a pool and hot tub which I was somewhat interested in but didn't get to try because I was busy a lot of the time and it did seem somewhat crowded at the time. The hotel offers free breakfast which I can't rate because I didn't try it but there are a lot of nice local restaurants. The wifi there was decent it worked some and then wouldn't work sometimes but it was free so that was alright. wouldn't have minded to have a small balcony to sit outside though. The staff were nice and helpful as well. Definitely wouldn't mind staying again.

    « Excellent »

Chelsee working the front desk was awesome. Called while we were on the road to see if we were arriving still that night because they were booked solid and she had walk-ins. Checked me in fast and efficient and was a pleasure to talk with. Room was great. Exterior is getting finished up from redecorating but still looked nice and didn't pose a problem.

« Very Nice Room and Staff »

The staff at check in, breakfast and check out were very nice and pleasant. Made it a point to let us know that cookies would be ready soon during the check in process. Linda at breakfast made sure items were ready and made it a point to great travelers as they came to the breakfast area. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
