« love it when they give you what you need »

hey, nothing new at a decent best western... and i always say sometimes not being surprised is five star great. but the management here, especially for a 'nothing special about it' conference zone, is really kind and considerate to their guests. my second time to stay over two nights and when in the area and needing an overnight stop, their service gets me back.

    « not very nice »

We like to stay at Best Western hotels because they are usually pretty nice. This hotel is so far below their normal comfort level that I was very disappointed. If we had not pre-paid for the room, we would have traded hotels! The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable that sleep was very hard to come by. The front desk seems put out if you don't book through Best Western site. The room was very noisy and smelled stale. The shower pressure was just a trickle and made it very hard to wash your hair. Very pricey room for what you get.

    « Felt like home »

The staff at this hotel are very friendly, and easy to deal with. They made me feel like part of their little family, I stayed here for business, but at the end of every day I felt like I was coming home. I highly recommend this hotel to the business traveler. And the owner "Ms. Alice" is the greatest

    « Great family hotel »

stayed with my two daughters for a trip, hotel was clean, room was spacious and perfect, had plenty of pillows, a small fridge and micro in room, the restroom even had makeup removal wipes, never seen that!! my girls loved it....Breakfast was fabulous, not your average complimentary breakfast!!! would highly recommend!!!

    « Just a small vacation »

Upon arrival I happen to notice the Canadian flag in front of the hotel was torn and tattered and nearly torn in half. It took 3 days for the staff to take it down and replace it. I am sure that if there were any Canadian visitors at the hotel, they would have been very up set.

« Beautiful Five Star Lobby! »

The lobby was breathtaking and extremely pleasant. It was decorated like a beautiful home, wide open and larger than some homes! Warm and spacious, inviting guests to sit and stay for a while. There was quality artwork & flowers everywhere, lots of comfy chairs with nice tables, and a happy hour bar with tables. Thru double doors the breakfast area was spacious, clean and kept well stocked with a selection of breakfast foods and beverages. Delicious 'Seattle's Best' coffee. There was direct access to (or room service from) a very appealing restaurant. Computers were available in a corner of the area for guests' use. I appreciated the quiet of my room; there was no noise, TV or music coming thru the walls. The bed was a disappointment, though; a soft mattress set directly upon squeaky wooden slats with a wooden railing around the bottom that hurt my feet. Please check out other reviews before you decide. My room may have been an anomaly. The BW Plus Evergreen Inn & Suites is a beautiful property with creature comforts galore in the enormous entry.

« Management out of way to accomodate are needs when arriving in the middle of the night. »

Room was excellent, clean, and cleaned up when ever we asked. When returning to Seattle area we will definately stay here as our first choice of hotels, especially since so close to I-5. We had a little issue with card keys not working twice and we arrived at 2:30 am was were tired and irritated, but for the inconvience we were give a upgrade to a suite instead of single room, which was well worth the inconvience.

« double check your reservation »

I am a diamond member and dont know why i was given a handicap room and not asked if it was what i needed. it was for me the worst room in the building. I could hear a person in the restroom and who knows what other noises came from, as well as a microwave oven being used every 6 min at 4:30 am. staff seemed to not give a care as they vacuum hallways at 8:00am. overall I was not a happy person here. if you do stay, stay as high up as you can.

    « No problems here »

Stayed here a few days visiting a friend. I really wasn't at the hotel too much, except to sleep. The bed was comfortable and it wasn't too noisy, except for the fact that my room was by the elevator and I could hear luggage being dragged from time to time. I didn't get a chance to have breakfast, but it looked good enough... Standard stuff. Only complaint would be the AC Thermostat is right next to the AC unit, so it kicked on and off frequently. Also, the toilet clogged the morning I left, but didn't overflow. A plunger would have been nice. The surrounding area is nice, and appeared to be safe with restaurants and stores nearby. Overall though, I would stay here again, just not near the elevator.

« Most of it is great »

Very clean, nice hotel. However, the BED may as well be box springs. So unless you need super hard beds, look elsewhere. The rooms and common areas are very clean. The breakfast has delicious, made to order omelets?!?! Who does that anymore?

    « Good Beds! »

I hate staying in a bed that is not my own. Most hotel beds feel obvious that they have been there forever. I get large migraines. This place feels clean, smells clean, and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of pillows and firm mattresses.

« Turn on the Lights »

All though there was plenty of light sources in the room, the only room that had good lighting was the bathroom. All the other lights in the room had low wattage light bulbs which made it seem dim in the room even with all the lights on. This of course is a personal preference. Was disappointed that the bathroom had no vent fan which made the mirror fog over. Trying to save a buck Best Western? Would be nice if the rooms came with a roll of paper towels in the cabinet over the sink and coffee maker to use for small spills instead of having to use guest towels.

    « Police were called »

We were at the hotel for 5 nights on a business trip. The people right next door would be up every night, slamming their door 20 plus times between midnight and 4 a.m. We called the desk several times to request that they ask the people next door to be quiet. They did not contact them. We asked the people ourselves to please shut the door quietly. On the fourth night we called the desk again, nothing happened. I went down to the desk at 2:30 a.m., understandably upset and sleep deprived and told them it wasn't OK. They promised to send a security guard. When I got back to my room I sat outside to see if a security guard would arrive. A little old guy from India, very timid, arrived and knocked on their door. They answered and were very confrontational. The man in the room claimed they had never been contacted by the front desk. The "security guard" cowered in the corner while the man threatened to beat up me and my husband. He made 3 direct threats. My husband suggested that the police be called, then we went back into our room. The front desk did call the police. Then they called us and told us the manager would contact us, but he/she never has. We have called the hotel more than a dozen times, but the manager "is not in". Our phone calls were never returned.

    « stingy »

We stayed for one night, and wanted to buy an extra half day so we could check out at 3 pm because of a sports event we were participating in. The manager Jen told us that she would sell us half a day but we had to check out at 2 pm. There were only a few guests in the hotel - very very slow as the night manager had told us. Not only were they stingy, but the complete lack of empathy and friendliness let us to cancel a second reservation that we had made there for later in the week. We won't stay there again.

« Good Location and Staff - average facilities »

PROs: First the Good points: 1. They have 2ea 80 amp chargers for a Tesla EV and 1 charger for other EVs. They worked as advertized, but other non EVs parked in the charging spots. 2. The breakfast was good and the coffee was excellant. 3. The staff was very responsive and helpful. CONs: 1. The room was small with a queen size bed - which was what we wanted, but it was a murphy bed... the kind you can fold up. I know as I have the very same type. My bed has overhead lights installed for reading - Best Western's did not - so could not read in bed. The shower curtain had holes in it and the carpet needed cleaning. 2. Since the sign outside still says Best Western and not Best Western Plus... Believe they are still in process of upgrading. 3. The location is very good for us and we have dogs and they have a large park next door. The Rodo species and bonsai garden are not far and well worth a visit. Also the Black Bear restaurant is only 6 blocks away. So if you need an EV or Tesla destination charger and an animal friendly establishment this is it.

« Terrible bed and location of room »

My wife and I stayed one night August 23 2016.Our room was on the ground floor and the staff allowed Harley Davidson motorcycles to park immediately beside our window. Ridiculous. But the worst was the terrible mattress on the small Queen size bed. It caved in the middle and we barely got ,3 hours sleep, due to the cheap mattress. Never again.

« Olympic Kennel Club show »

We had stayed at your hotel as guest of the Olympic Kennel Club August 17-21. Rooms spotless, front desk superb, breakfast buffet one of the best for this level of hotel, omelette station was a great touch, you won't find this in Residence Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Alice, your top notch!! See you next year for the Olympic Kennel Club!!

Located right off I-5, it is close to the airport as well as dining options. Check-in was smooth. Rooms were comfortable, although they could use some updating. Nice option to have a fridge in the room. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. A.C worked well. Nice to have a lounge in the lobby. Breakfast options were good and plenty of seating. Good experience.

    « Family getaway »

This property is about 30-40 minutes outside of Seattle. there is a mall and MANY restaurants in the area walking distance. The 2 Bedroom suites are very comfortable and good size. Maybe slightly dated but overall we will be back. The free breakfast is wonderful and "to order" Very clean and very quiet!! thank you staff!

« Worst beds, OVER salted food/breakfast, older facility »

Hotel Manager must not trust the staff with the key to re-supply the "sales shelves" with laundry soap, candy, & such; per the hotel staff statements because she dosn't allow them access.. They were out of laundry soap & we were forced to "shop" at the hotel next door (which had double the cost for the single use soaps) for laundry we didn't expect to do in the 1st place. Their were no directions to the laundry machines and one locked and the other didn't. We found this out AFTER one was started without clothes. The staff said there was nothing they could do. What?! (The morning staff refunded $1.50) The beds have not been replaced since this location has been open. Feels like your sleeping on springs. For over $400.00 for 2 nights we should have a comfortable bed at least! Their provided breakfast looked amazing... until later that day when we blew up like a balloon because of the salt. We ate freshly made omelets and oatmeal. There was WAY too much salt in the eggs/meats & WHY is there salt in oatmeal!?? There is no reason for it. Therefor we didn't enjoy our trip which occurred on a hot day, drinking lots of water, and hurting due to being so swollen our calves were burning because the skin was so taunt. NOT staying here again & I will be bringing my OWN food.

    « Review »

Problems with room access and having to move to aniother room was not good. Was compensated by manager's discount which mande it bareable. Overall this hotel is aging and needs to be updated. Needs a total remmodel.

    « Not what I expected for a Bestwestern »

The outside presentation of the hotel is beautiful. The actual interior of the room is where they fall way under the expectation. Room was way outdated, stained carpet, wall beneath air conditioner rotting. The mattress comfortable but dated as well. Room appeared to need a total cleaning vacuuming etc. I stay at many of best westerns and I was shocked to see the room conditions for this one. SAD!

« Best Western Awesome Service »

The staff at this hotel are always helpful and courteous. The rooms are clean and options provided for breakfast are awesome, they have a variety of options for their deluxe breakfast. The swimming pool and hot tub are a bonus indeed

    « Don't care attitude »

I did not want to do this review before giving the management time to respond. BW Care team indicated that somebody would call me within seven days. They never did and I sadly report that during our stay, we had problems everyday: wrong room, dirty room, charged a higher rate, which I had finally taken care of, shuttle not on schedule, restaurant not following basic cleanliness standards, bugs in the room, we were all bit; and employees' don't care attitude.....except Janeth and Oscar. We made BW aware of the problems but at the end, were told that each hotel is responsible for handling it. Really bad stay.

    « Surprisingly pleasant »

We checked into a king suite. The room was a small 1 bedroom studio and very nice. I was able to sleep in the California king bed with no problems and the room was very quiet. The Ram restaurant in the area gave us a 20% discount for staying in a hotel near by!

« Over charged my debit card »

This hotel charged my debit card 3 times for 1 room. I have stayed at many Best Westerns throughout several States and this is the one location I will NEVER return too!! I stayed at this hotel on july 22nd & checked out on the 24th. I made the reservation with my debit card and upon check out I paid the total amount plus an incidental hold of $70 (which I was unaware of this mandatory hold up until check in) with my husband's debit card. 5 days later my card, which I used to make the reservation, was charged the total amount of the room. I've now been charged twice for my room. Then again 2 days later my card is charged a second time. So now I've been charged 3 times between my husband and I's debit cards. And the worst part is I'm unable to speak to anybody at the hotel about it because it's the weekend and there is no manager in until Monday!! Seriously? No management on the weekend at a busy hotel string....due to the over charges to my accounts upwards of $700, I now have to deal with financial hardships of overdraft fees and utility disconnections. I feel like In addition to refunding my wrongful charges immediately, I deserve a full refund for my stay. The hotel is telling my It will take 3 to 5 days for any refund.

I booked this hotel specifically to use the shuttle due to an early morning flight. When I returned my rental car the night before my flight, I sat at the terminal for close to 2 hours waiting to return to the hotel. I have tried on several occasions to reach TJ / OPS Mgr but he has quite the way of putting people off. The staff was pleasant but clearly not supported by their management team. I won't be back.

    « Cancelled reservation at check-in »

DO NOT STAY HERE. The hotel didn't honor our reservation. They cancelled the booking at check-in and didn't tell us why. The front-desk agent (Alexis) was obnoxious and rude. I had to book a different hotel. There are many places in the area that will not cancel on you when you arrive. Avoid this awful place.

« Beware, they may loose your reservation! »

I give it a Poor rating because of the staff, including the manager. One of the front desk ladies seems to have a bad attitude. Not a bad hotel, as long as they do not loose your reservation! Seem to have problems when ever I book this property.

« Terrible Management of Guests »

Arriving by train and checking in at 4 p.m., we presented our credit card and picture ID. Our reservation was confirmed and we were given our room, keys, and breakfast vouchers. After placing our bags in our room our son picked us up to go to dinner. Two hours later we received a voice mail telling us the hotel was oversold and we had been moved to another Best Western in Tacoma, about 20 miles south. We of course had visions of someone entering our room and removing our luggage and taking it to another hotel. In panic we called the front desk who confirmed the voice mail. I told them that this was unacceptable since all our travel arrangements were from this location and we had already checked in. The front desk lady responded, "You've already checked in?" When I confirmed this we were told that the call did not apply to us. Apparently they were making a blanket call without even determining which guests had or had not checked in. Returning to our room at 9:30 p.m. We shortly went to bed. Sometime after 10:00 p.m our room phone rang asking for some other guest and my wife told them there was no one in the room by that name. Approximately 15 minutes later a second call was received asking for another guest. My wife asked if this was the front desk calling and was told yes. She then asked if they didn't know who was staying in our room and the lady replied, No we don't." So much for making reservations, checking in with picture ID and being given keys. It is far less than a secure feeling when the hotel does not even know who is staying in the hotel or in which room and makes upsetting blanket phone calls without even thinking about who they are calling. Avoid this place!!!

« Good quality and service »

Stayed here for just over a week in March 2016. Service was good, the room was comfortable. There's a decent cooked breakfast served which marks the hotel above some others in similar price bracket. All in all, no complaints whatsoever. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Happy customer here and will probably book again the next time I'm in Federal Way.

« Average BW Plus with great breakfast »

This was an average BW Plus with a friendly staff. Upon check in we were given a standard 2 queen room when we had reserved a one bedroom suite. The front desk promptly switched us to a two room suite for the same price. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. For breakfast we all had omelets stuffed with bacon, spinach, onion, ham, cheese, and other goodies. It was delicious. Great location if you are heading to Wild Waves in the morning!

« Will not stay at a Best Western again »

I paid $170 per night and only got 4 TV channels... When I asked the front desk about it they said for additional $25 dollars they could UNLOCK my TV. When I pay that much per night the least I should be able to expect is cable to watch in my down time. I have never heard of a hotel doing this... I will not be staying at a Best western again. That's a cheap way to get more money. At 170 per night that's ridiculous!!

    « Small Suites, Poor check-in/out »

We had several problems with checkin, and the computer was down at checkout so we couldn't see final charges, etc. We were told to "expect an email." 4 days later, it hasn't come yet. We actually were given a key to enter a room that ALREADY HAD PEOPLE IN IT. They were startled by our entrance, as were we. The staff just said, "that's odd, sorry" and gave us a new room. I expected more than that in terms of customer service. The pros: the suite beds were very nice and comfortable. The hot buffet breakfast was fantastic. We didn't use the restaurant or fitness center. Other cons: the 2BR suite living/kitchen areas are very small. The couch was old and stained by time and use. The sofabed was awful; we put an air mattress on top of it. They do not provide trash can liners ("we are green; we just wash them") or paper towels in the kitchen. There were no towels or racks for them of any kind, in the kitchen area. The microwave was compact-size, such that my travel coffee mug didn't fit in it.

« Small and low budget »

Felt like we slept in the housekeeping closet. Booked a queen room and got a queen Murphy bed which took up the whole room, had to put a pillow on the corner of the bed as not break any toes going to the bathroom. On the positive the staff were friendly and the location of the hotel is close to the I5 easy access. Shopping is close by and walking distance to several restaurants. I would not come back but the room was clean, felt it was very over-priced for the type of room.

    « Decent Hotel »

We planned a weekend family trip and stayed at this hotel in Federal Way. No complaints, but nothing that really stood out as excellent either. Hotel and rooms were clean. Could use some updating and maintenance. Our room had a pull out couch that was the only seating in the living area and it was very uncomfortable to sit on. We did not use it as a pullout bed so I can't comment on that aspect. The location is handy to the freeway and LOTS of shopping and restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and sleeping would have been great except this hotel must be in the flight path of Sea-Tac or Boeing (or both:-) ) Not the fault of the hotel! We would stay here again if in the area.

« ice meltdown-it needs machines on all florrs! »

Good multi-story hotel near SeaTac Airport with comfortable rooms, but getting ice was a major task. The Ice machines are only located on floors 2,4 & 6. I walked down a flight of stairs only to discover that floor 4's ice machine was not working. That leaves only 2 floors left. On floor 2 the machine was working, but it had no grate to set the ice bucket on. Have you tried to get ice with two hands holding the bucket/plastic liner and using your head to push the round button on the machine at your far right?

    « Very Comfortable »

I stayed night, but the room was so comfortable! The bed was perfect, I slept wall and didn't want to get out of it! The front desk was friendly. A little slow but friendly and helpful. The floor I was on was very quiet, just what I wanted. I would stay here again

    « Great Experience »

Staff was gracious and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious...the omelet was chef quality! Dinner at Seasons was also delicious. Our only complaint was the hardness of the bed the first night but the second night we moved to a new room and the bed was very comfortable.

    « Better than Tacoma »

We were attending a HS Graduation ceremony in Tacoma. This location was perfect for our connection to family and ease of access after long trip from Arizona. Staff were efficient and got us into our room early. Breakfast service was the best we have experienced (10 different locations). Location provides ease of access to freeway, shopping centers, and great restaurants nearby. You can't go wrong with this one.

« Worth the extra few minutes from the airport. The owner is about to be 101 and still working there.!!! »

We stayed on our way to our daughter's rather than have her drive an hour to pick us up after midnight . We liked the place so much we booked the following Sunday so she wouldn't have to drop us on her way to work on Monday. This hotel had everything: Walter, the shuttle driver was safe, courteous, and even took our bags to our room when he saw how tired we were (we're both in our 70's) after our trip from our home in Hawaii. The rooms both times were very clean and comfortable and the hotel was non-smoking and quiet. They had the usual items on the FREE breakfast menu, but they went a step above by adding a chef who made us custom omelettes with cheeses, lots of veggies, sausage, ham, and even olives.. He joked that he got into trouble by putting so many items out so i said I would mention how much we enjoyed it to the manager . "You can do better than that if you want " , he said. "The owner is right behind you". I then had a delightful conversation with a professionally dressed woman who was clearly proud of her staff and her hotel and obviously active in its daily management. She is also about to celebrate her 101st birthday next month!!! Amazing!! The place is thoroughly up to date with wi-fi and handicap accessible rooms and small touches like a nicely stocked snack bar , free welcome bags with water bottles , granola bars and sometimes even microwave popcorn. Show that "Ms. Alice" wants her guests to be comfortable. She is very approachable. My only thought for the manager is that the toilets in the handicap accessible room (312) were standard height and would not be easily wheel chair accessible.

    « Bien »

Good experience at hotel. Fix the traffic and it would be great. Amenities and staff were very helpful and would stay here again Location is perfect and the local eateries are plentiful. My wife especially liked the biscuits and gravy at the buffet breakfast.

    « Federal Way »

Very good hotel, I have to say that the bed was amazing. I didn't use the breakfast this time since I had breakfast at my meeting, but it seemed like a good breakfast. In general, it was a very nice experience: room was clean, staff was great, location was right next to the freeway and five minutes to my corporate office, close to the airport. So, no problems at all.

« Fun in Federal Way »

The Best Western plus Evergreen Inn and Suites is a great hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. The free hot breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel is in a great location... shopping, restaurants and even movie theaters within walking distance. The hotel even has a shuttle from the Seattle airport and will "shuttle" you around the hotel area. I will definitely return to this hotel and have already told friends about it.

« Convenient location near Seattle »

This hotel has quick and easy access from I-5 between Seattle and Tacoma in Federal Way. The rooms are becoming a bit warn, but they were clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the morning has many options including hot items. Indoor pool with hot tub is available. Many restaurants nearby within walking distance. Have had good luck twice now both one night stays.

    « What a disappointment. »

Wow. So disappointed in the lack of organization and customer service. We arrived at 2:45 and was told check in is not until 3:00. We went to the store and returned at 3:15 to check in. We were told the room was still not ready. No apology, and no offer of a resolution. Finally at 4:00 the room was ready. We walked in to find our room is not correct. I called down to the front desk and was told I would receive a call back. After 20 min of no call, I called the front desk, only to get hung up on. I realized with the lack of customer service I will have to make all the effort to get their mistakes corrected. Finally we were given the correct room. What should have been a check in at 3pm turned into an almost 2 hour long situation with no courtesy or help from the front desk. If you are looking for a fun, stress free weekend away with your family, this is not the hotel for you.

    « Fantastic Breakfast/Location »

Great hotel! We would stay here again. We had the 2 room option and it was a nice size for a decent price. Liked the location, Trader Joe's, mall, movie theater just down the road. The omelette station was such a great idea!

    « Good travelers hotel »

Was in Federal Way, WA for PAC 12s. Good location to the Aquatic Center. Centrally located to restaurants, stores, freeway. Staff was very friendly. Easy check in. Okay breakfast buffet although they didn't have any ice tea and their juice was watered down, but omelets were cooked to order. Good happy hour & prices. Room was spacious and very clean. They are a bit stingy on towels so you may have to order a bunch more from housekeeping. The AC unit was loud and kept kicking on and off so we just turned it down so it wouldn't keep us up all night. But overall, for the price, location and friendlieness of staff it's a good place to stay. Also there is plenty of free parking.

« broken into not good for business »

dont plan on staying at the bw in federalway again we were broken into the front desk was not helpful other than calling the police whom never arrived because its a low level crime for that area 3 other vehicles were broken into the break in happened right in front of the hotel entrance maybe security was in on it just saying......

« It is by far one of the nicest places I have stayed in »

I was near the top floor with a lovely view of evergreen and freeway close for my easy travel I have stayed in many hotels and this one is a treat the staff is professional and motivated to satisfy the customers needs if a problem does arise they fix it immediately

  • 3

Overall we found the Best Western to be a good place to stay when in Federal Way, however, we booked a room with a "separate bedroom" but it was not the room that was provided to us. The check-out staff said that our bill would be adjusted, but as of this posting, it had not. The breakfast was good, especially the omelets to order! I would stay here again, but would not pay the extra price for the King Suite with the "separate bedroom" since it did not have a separate bedroom!

« Visit to Pacific Northwest »

Stayed here with my wife in May 2016 when we visited the Seattle area on vacation. We chose this hotel because it was relatively close to the airport after our evening arrival. But this place isn't like a typical airport hotel. It has great amenities, the beds are comfortable, and the free breakfast bar is probably the best of any hotel I've stayed in including omelet station. We would definitely stay here again

« Not happy for the money »

Would not recommend. The bed was very comfortable, but the desk chair was up against the end of the bed. No way to get around when sitting at the desk. The shower head was a detachable (handicap) that did not detach and was spraying straight down so you had to stand almost against the front wall to use wash yourself in the shower. Only one chair in the room very uncomfortable!

« Good place to stay for business »

Good sized rooms, very clean. I stayed here in February for a week and ended up in a suite with a nice seating area/desk separate from the sleeping area. Nice small kitchenette, which was helpful. Gym is ok, pool is a nice bonus.

    « Excellent Hotel »

The front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff were all very helpful and friendly. They have a good breakfast bar that also includes made to order omelets. The bar has a nice but simple Happy Hour menu that is offered twice a night. Nice shuttle service for the airport and nearby shopping areas. Very good value for the money.

« Nice place to stay. »

Close to restaurants and shopping. Great location. Was a very pleasant stay. Hotel a little dated but still very nice. Nice pool. Would recommend for families. Great area to visit. 200 characters is too many.

    « Wonderful people »

The whole "crew" at this Best Western from check-in to check-out, really were kind and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as nice as possible. It is a great place to stay if you want to be close, but not too close to SEATAC.

    « Nice Room »

Stayed here on the way to Bellingham and it was nice after having sat in traffic for two hours. We used our points for the room and got a room with a queen bed and a little alcove with bunk beds. I have never been in a hotel room with bunk beds. There was a wedding reception going on in the floor below us but we never heard a peep. It was very relaxing and a full hot breakfast was the icing on the cake.

    « Family getaway for 6 »

Had a family getaway to Seattle and we stayed at the Best Western Plus Evergreen Inn in Federal Way with our 4 kids. The check in was a breeze and the lady at the front desk was pleasant and friendly. We did some shopping which the shopping complex is a short distance away and lot of restaurants to eat at. Once back at the hotel we all went for a swim and hot tub which was great. The room was big and the beds were comfortable. Also in the morning, the continental breakfast is excellent, they make custom omelettes for you with a bunch of other breakfast foods. When we come down again, we will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus Evergreen Inn in Federal Way. Brian Surrey, B.C

« Nothing Wrong if You Want to be in Federal Way! »

Nothing bad to say about this place except the heat blows and makes it feel cold, but that's minor. Breakfast was great, room was really nice, price was good for Seattle area. Was there for a medical procedure, so didn't really seek out Federal Way, but the hotel is right near 3 huge shopping centers, if you like that. Everything else is distant. But the hotel was great, friendly service, helpful staff, nice facility.

    « Enjoyable! »

I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions and am never disappointed. Gracious, kind front desk staff; outgoing, generous dining room and bar staff; bountiful breakfast. Great for business travelers, singles, and families. Something for everyone. Clean, safe, in a good area.

« Comfortable bed, clean room, lousy food, broken TV remote »

I arrived, checked in and went straight to the restaurant because I was really hungry. There was one table taken in the restaurant and one waiter. The food was disappointing: flavorless hamburger and sweet tea (the waiter had never heard of unsweetened tea). The waiter never checked back to see how I liked my meal. When I flagged him down to ask for a glass of water, he never delivered it. I finally went to the kitchen door and asked for it. At breakfast the next morning there was no oatmeal for the first 10 or 15 minutes -- I had to ask about it. The scrambled eggs made just for me were delicious. In my room, the bed was next to the heating/air conditioning so I had air blowing on me all night long (not pleasant) and the remote control for the TV was broken. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was well stocked with towels, soap and shampoo.

« First Timer in Seattle »

My daughter had a great experience in Seattle with her friend. Of course, Best Western Plus Evergreen Inn & Suites in Federal Way didn't disappoint her. They slept like babies and missed 3 breakfast meals out of 5. Since it was Spring Break, they weren't able to get an early check in. But, kudos to the receptionist who tried to accommodate them.

« Definitely not the "Best" Western »

The front desk was nice at check in, but it went down hill from there. They screwed up and thought we were leaving after only one night. Opps. And, on the first evening when I asked the lounge "lady" for a couple of Spanish coffees, she whined, "Oh, I guess I'll have to make some coffee then." Boo Hoo. And the room sure has a long list of problems: - the room heater doesn't work very well; - very loud dripping noise outside our window as the rain hits a metal conduit; - no fan in the bathroom (c'mon, that's a real problem for me!); - poor lighting in the room; - when the room was "cleaned" after our first night, they made the bed but left most of the garbage like cups, dishes, silverware, trays and garbage baskets still in the room; - very low quality upgrade, like poor sanding and painting of the molding. The only good thing about this place is their good hot breakfast area: besides the normal waffles, pancakes, bagels and muffins, they also have a nice person making custom omlettes; all for free. If you are unfortunate enough to have to stay in this "Worst Western" motel, make sure that you are in a room facing west instead of east. The view to the east is of very big transmission towers (real ugly). And, especially make sure that you are not in room 209 because it faces directly out onto the roof of the lobby; the roof which has a multitude of HVAC equipment and an excellent approach for someone who could get easy access to your room (not good at all). Save your angst - go somewhere else.

    « Great Stay »

This was a much needed trip and we had an amazing time. I always say, your trip is what you make it and we had a well deserving time. The staff was great and got us an early check in which helped incredibly. The room was clean and the breakfast was full filling. This hotel is located near shipping, coffee and restaurants. You can pretty much walk to any. I suggest this place for families and couples.

    « Disappointed this time. »

I would not rate this a Plus Best Western, compared to other BW plus. Check-in was terrible. Wrestling teams checking in foe State tournament...had a 30 minute wait in line...very cold as every time someone came door opened wide and was frigid. They were not prepared for the large amount of check-ins. There has to be a better way to handle such crowds. Coffee not available in lobby after breakfast. Noisy heating unit in our room, not taken care of...had 3 nights of interrupted sleep. No suitcase rack in room, incomplete stocking of room on day 2 and 3.

« Most uncomfortable bed EVER »

Strobe light effect in the bathroom, bed was a small queen and was horribly uncomfortable. I am a BW Platinum member and wasn't offered an upgrade and when I brought it to the attention of the gal the next day she said it should have been offered the night before when I checked in. Barely got sleep and my shoulders are still sore from lying on my sides. Won't come back if I have to sleep in that bed again. Pillows were just as bad.

« Okay for the price »

Stayed at this hotel for a week-long swim meet. Good location-good price, close to shopping, easy freeway access. Choose a higher floor, away from the elevators and on the street side (less noise). Rooms are in need of updating. Carpets and furnishings are older and the lobby is in need of some updating as well. Buffet breakfast is okay-same foods everyday-average selection. Parking is good and safe. Hotel offers a free shuttle to and from within a 5 mile radius-a real plus. Water pressure in the shower was weak. Gym was small and only 2 of the 4 machines were in working order. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff were very good and polite.

« good stay for the price »

took a group of high school gymnasts over for the state meet. Hotel is close to food and close to shopping. A lot to keep the kids busy when they were not competing. Location is easy to find off a major highway in the Federal Washington area.

« Mostly really nice, except for the terrible bartender »

I have to agree with another reviewer about the bartender. Terrible. He stood turned away, purposefully ignoring guests for 5 minutes, then barely managed a hello to me. When I asked if he could make a sidecar (a classic cocktail) he responded "that's vodka and pineapple juice, right?" Uh, no, not even close. I asked what cocktails he COULD make, his response was "tell me what's in it and I can make it." At that point I walked out. Other than that, I was mostly really happy with this place. The room was huge and set up like an apartment (was this previously a Marriott Residence Inn perhaps?). No concerns with cleanliness. Staff was great at check-in (though they sucked on the phone when I called for directions) and check-out. Bed was extremely comfortable, except for the lousy pillows (didn't bother me as much as other reviewers, but they are odd). Breakfast was above average. I wanted to use the hot tub but as the pool area was full of families with screaming kids I skipped it. A few minor(ish) frustrations: This was a last-minute reservation, and I don't have a smart phone for navigation, so when I asked for directions, both people who tried to help me were clueless, though it turns out I was **2 miles** away on a state highway. One of the elevators gave quite the rickety ride; disconcertingly another guest said it had not been like that the day before. Bedroom HVAC unit blows directly onto the bed 3 feet away. Actually, it blows the CURTAINS over the bed which would make sleep impossible. When it never turned off, I eventually unplugged it. That said, I would stay here again if I had a need. The review may not sound like it, but it is quite nice.

« Nice hotel in a convenient location »

This hotel is just off the freeway and easy to find. My room was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was acceptable with a sufficient dining area. I so appreciate that this entire hotel is non-smoking.

    « Great Staff munis the Server/Bartender »

This hotel is very welcoming and the front desk staff was great. The bar/restaurant server on the weekend was horrible. He was rude and blew people off for more then 30 minutes, then came back with comments of what do you want. if they retrain or remove him this hotel would be what the rest of the staff wants. Even his co-workers didnt care for his bad service.

    « Amenities missing »

The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was wonderful. Where it fell short was we had to request towel linens each day. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Bed Pillows are terrible. The facility does have a small bar and fitness room which we used. Overall we would probably try another hotel in the area to compare. Rates were average.

    « great hotel »

We were in town for a concert at the Tacoma Dome, we were offered a free shuttle and took advantage of that. The staff was exceptionally helpful. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite from a double queen. Great experience overall!

« depends on why you are staying »

This hotel was clean felt safe, the employees were very kind and helpful the free breakfast was very good and did have healthy options. The beds did not have real pillows just four little hard squares and the toilet would gurgle loud enough to hear from the bed when no one was using it! We paid just over 140 for a queen size bed. There was a pool it looked nice but we did not use it. Over all I would recommend this place if you just need a place to stay.It is right off of I-5 and easy to find. We were staying here to go to a event at the Tacoma dome, the Best western at the Tacoma dome was full but they offered that their sister site has a shuttle that would take us -no problem. So we booked it ,I would recommend that you call every hotel that is close to the Dome before relying on any hotel shuttle to any big event at the Tacoma dome the traffic is a mess 2 hours before and 2 hours after the event, The hotel only has 2 shuttles one holds about 10 and the other 6 . So once they leave they are stuck in traffic and it will be at least one hour before they return. The concert we were there to attend had about 50 people waiting outside for the shuttle, there were no reservation (even though we were told we had reservations)just a free for all mad dash to get the very few seats, some people were really rude and I felt so bad for the employees ! People who are going in large group really should not try to use the shuttle as the chances of you all getting on the same one are almost zero the ones who did were the really horrible mean types who mow down little old ladies and baby duckies. We managed to get on the shuttle and made it to our concert just fine, afterward we went to the Tacoma Dome best western to wait for the shuttle the first one was full so we waited over an hour for the second one . The people around us were desperate to get to their rooms and called cabs that said it would be a 2 hour wait. One gal said uber was charging 80 dollars a person. The parking around the dome was 40 bucks so that seems like it would have been a good deal. So we caught the second shuttle but just barely as I got on a big drunk guy demanded I get out and would not let my husband get on with me so my husband jumped in the front seat. And we just sat there why he threw a drunkin fit, then part of his group was not ready had left things behind and went to get them and were not going to go anyway. My advice is jump in the van and ignore the drunks! The next day another hotel guest that we had gotten to know during our stay reported the exact same experience as us! A drunk guy demanding he get out! Anyway the shuttle thing is not good avoid it if you can for popular events.

« nice place to stay »

enjoyed my night here very clean room and hotel and the breakfast was assume. was on the 8th floor so internet was a little slow and only one elevator was working at the time the other was beaning serviced cable tv was good nice LCD TV coffee in room was a good brand but the lobby should offer coffee for guest like other hotels like red-lion do. nice place to stay also indoor pool the chlorine was very strong by elevator door,

« Good choice in the area »

This is a good hotel choice in the area. It is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is a good quality. There are many restaurants in the vicinity. We will definitely use this hotel in the future if we are in the area.

    « I'd stay here again »

Plus-I thought the hotel was very nice. They are pet friendly which is a huge plus. Lots of grass around the hotel to walk a dog. Pool was nice, jacuzzi was super hot and very clean. We had a family room which slept my family of 5 wonderfully. Reception was always very nice and courteous. The breakfast bar is AWESOME! !they had an omelet station, biscuits and gravy, eggs and hashbrown, french toast and a waffle maker. Delicious! Walking distance to lots of restraunts and the Commons Mall with a Target. Minus - third floor hallway smells something awful. Like laundry that sat in the washer too long. We have to hold our breath and run to the room. It's just the hallway, not the rooms. We told the desk and they said they are working on it. We are in a family room that sleeps six but when they clean the room they only put 3 towels in. I had to call the desk to get more. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again.

    « Family reunion »

We took up about 11 rooms between 30 or so of us. Our reunion being over in Fife. The staff - front desk and also concierge were so good to all of our family. Nothing was too much and they accommodated all of us very efficiently - even 2am when our girls room wanted to watch t.v and it wasn't working. It was sorted straight away. The shuttle took us to the main shops and pick up so efficient. We used the pool and the laundry and the $3. Movies just over the road! Thank you team at Best Western. Kolopa Family.

« Comfortable bed and decent amenities, but generally lacking in service »

My family (two teens, my wife, and myself) stayed for 5 nights in a two bedroom family suite, which included a king bed room, a queen bed room, and a sleeper sofa. PROs: - Very comfortable beds - Large refrigerator - Gas fireplace kept everyone warm (sometimes a little too warm) - WiFi worked well - HDTV and cable in each bedroom and living area - Continental breakfast was good (made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fruits, breads, etc.) - Most staff are friendly - Free parking CONS: - Room didn't really seem ready for us - Only two towels in the bathroom, no linens for the sofa bed - No bathroom fan (aside from the obvious, it also gets very steamy when showering) - Large AC / heater fans are located directly beside the beds and blow hard on the person sleeping on that side - Had to request room service several times - TV remotes only worked occasionally. Staff couldn't seem to correct the problem. - There is a restaurant / bar in the lobby, but the bar was only open once and the restaurant was seemingly never open in the entire time we were there Our stay was good overall, but the service was mediocre. Not sure we would stay there again.

    « Worst Western »

I travel a lot and I've seen a lot, but this was my worst hotel stay yet. When I woke up in the morning there was no hot water in shower. WiFi internet connection did not work. The bed in this fairly large room was placed right next to blower - I had to shut it off to be able to sleep. When tried to call the front desk the cord came out of the handset and could not be re-attached. I contacted the manager and he promised a refund, but the refund had never materialized. I received my money back only after disputing the transaction with my credit card. Stay away!

    « great stay »

The bed was too hard and everywhere outside the room was too cold but the staff, breakfast, room was terrific. I didn't use the pool, spa area because I get up early and both times I would have used it was being cleaned. It was very easy on and off the freeway location.

« Nice, clean rooms. Convenient to Airport. Great breakfast buffet. »

We spent a night here after flying into Seattle and stayed for one night before boarding a cruise ship. The shuttle picked us up from the airport promptly, and upon arrival we were happy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, large as we expected from previously staying in a BW+. The breakfast buffet was busy, but they moved people through efficiently and kept the food stocked. The location is conveniently right next to some shopping, so we were able to walk to Target and pick up some last minute cruise ship supplies. All in all I would stay again anytime.

    « Good value »

This was super convenient, right off of I5. The restaurant was tasty, the omelette bar was a nice surprise in the morning. Staff was friendly and accommodating. My only disappointment was the low flow shower head!

    « Handicapped Travelers - DON'T STAY HERE! »

If you are a handicapped traveler, skip this hotel. All their "so-called" ADA amenities are not at all true. As a wheelchair-bound amputee who travels a lot, I always call ahead to insure there is a room with a roll-in, wheelchair accessible shower. I called this property and was told they did have a room, they took my credit card and confirmed my reservation. When I arrived, I was informed that no such room was available - I had several options: take a room with a bathtub, cancel my reservation and find somewhere else or they would attempt to find a room for me. The man who was "helping" was arrogant, rude and condecending. I flew from PA to make this a special weekend - we were going to have a big family dinner in their restaurant and I specifically was also looking for a property with a pool. I ended up at a second-rate Best Western in Auburn - no nice restaurant so we had to change that. My town car had to be redirected and my family all had to change direction and find me in another town. This is the old bait and switch - book a room and then no such room exists.

    « Comfortable »

The location of this hotel for nearby wheyhauser aquatic center is ideal. There is great shopping nearby and Seattle is a 25 min drive. The hotel is clean, spacious and accommodating. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The price is affordable and omlets are made to order. Chill definitely stay here again, if ever in this area again.

    « Unprofessional Concierge Team »

Concierge team inability of rooms with working amenities; providing for disabled patrons; inside and outside safety of hotel perimeters; non working laundry facilities and preventive maintenance. Late check-in concierge team untrained with hotel policies.

« Excellent Suites for a family getawat »

Stayed here on a weekend trip away with our 2 little kids (18m and 2.5years) Hotel staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and well sized. kitchenette was adequate and had more counter space then most we've seen, Bathrooms are tight, but clean... not super practical for more then 2 people. Their buffet breakfast is AMAZING, so many options, including an omelet bar! Pretty much everything you could ask for as breakfast options... and nice large booths and tables accommodate a family perfectly. One of the best things about this hotel is it's location!! You can take a literally 3 min walk (even with toddlers) to the mall, which has a huge arcade and indoor play area. Dennys is also a short walk and we happened to show up on a kids eat free night which was mint! Easy hwy access, which was so nice since we were exploring, and it's close enough to seattle to enjoy it being a good base to venture from at a reasonable price if you are wanting to spend a weekend around the city. We would definitely go back again.

« Know what to expect »

The wife and I have gotten to where we search for Best Western because they seem very consistent. We know what to expect and on the few occasions we've had a problem, the staff was quick to remedy and pleasent about it.

« Let me tell you »

Never have stayed at a Best Western, so we weren't sure what to expect. Let me tell you, upon arrival, we were greeted by two lovely ladies at the front desk whom assisted with check in. The room we got was a decent room, bed was comfortable. Went down to the bar area, nice bartender blended a strawberry margarita and gave me a 2nd smaller glass with all the leftovers from the blender, it was like 1 1/2 drinks for the price of one! Then, I realized, oops, I forgot toothpaste, front desk provided me with some. Next day we went down for the buffet breakfast, oh my, it was great, one of the bests breakfast experience at a hotel ever! Next, we got ready to head out for the day, but, it was raining, oops again, didn't bring an umbrella, again hotel loaned us an umbrella. That night upon arrival back we decided to go into their indoor swimming pool and hot tub, amazing! Although it was wet and cold outside, that room was warm and we had a great swim and enjoyed the hot tub. During our stay we realized that hotel is conveniently located, and enjoyed our outings to a couple of the many nearby restaurants and shops, during our stay we also enjoyed the exercise room, free wifi, used laundry room and enjoyed the complimentary shuttle service to the airport. So let me tell you our experience at this hotel was excellent!

    « Perfect night's sleep. »

My wife and I found ourselves in need of a place to stay much earlier in the evening than planned. I am a Diamond Rewards member of Best Western, so I always look to see what properties are close by. The first BW had only a suite that was way our of our price range. Then we called the Best Western Evergreen Inn & Suites in Federal Way, When I called, I was delighted to be upgraded from a standard room for no additional charge. Our room was very quiet, away from Interstate 5. The bed and bedding was the quality I expect from a BW property. My wife, who does not travel as often as I do loved the room. We both quickly settled in for a great night's sleep. She woke up refreshed with no back or other issues she tends to get from a hotel bed. Breakfast at this property was free as well. Made to order omelets, hot waffles and more. The only thing we did not like was the turkey sausage. On a score of 100, they were a 99.5! If you are in need of a place to stay, you could not do any better in Federal Way than this Best Western.

« You really get your money's worth! »

I don't think I could have done better choosing a place to stay on my trip to Federal Way. The staff, except for the person who was cooking the omelet, was exceptionally nice and professional. Every place inside and out of the hotel was neat and clean. My TV broke twice so they moved me to a suite with a Jacuzzi tub. Wow!!! Made my trip

    « Excellent service »

Was greeted at front desk by 2 very friendly staff members. Check in was fast and we ended up with a lovely jacuzzi suite. Everything was spotless. Hot breakfast was included and we were surprised to see even an omelet bar where they were made to order. Lots of other selections as well. We will stay here again. Only downside was no hot water when we checked in at night to use the jacuzzi.

« Perfect for before cruise »

Our cruise out of Seattle was on a Friday. In order to tour Seattle, we flew in on Wednesday and this Best Western supplied a shuttle to the hotel. The next morning, they provided a shuttle back to the airport where we had reserved a rental car from Enterprise. We got a great price through Groupon and were given a suite with a living room with kitchenette plus 2 bedrooms with really comfy beds. Their breakfast was delicious. They made omlets to order, make your own hot waffles and plenty of other items. We toured all day Thursday and on Friday returned our car to Enterprise downtown. Enterprise drove us to the cruise port. We saved so much by not staying downtown and we loved our stay in this hotel.

« Home away from home »

i had a great stay. the room way on the freeway side of the hotel, and i did hear anything. comfy bed and good water presure in the shower. if i could change anything i would like a tv in my room that had apps on it so i could use my netflix and hulu accouts.

    « 2nd stay, just as good. »

I stayed here back in 2012 and thought it was good so booked again after arriving at SEATAC late at night. It didn't disappoint. This hotel is relatively close to the airport- about a 10 minute drive- and is very reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious and clean, a rarity for an airport hotel. If you need something near SEATAC, I highly recommend.

    « Good stay »

In order to get to a number of personal appointments over a 24 hour period without fighting rush hour traffic through Seattle, I decided to stay at a motel near the offices where the appointments would take place. I considered a number of reasonably good motels nearby, including some that would have been closer and/or cheaper. The local shuttle service offered by this Best Western turned out to be an unbeatable deal. In the end, it's a choice I'm very happy to have made. Everything worked out quite smoothly & the usual things I expect at any motel (comfort, cleanliness, friendliness, etc.) were done quite well too. I didn't explore the restaurant, fitness center, or pool, but what I did experience there I liked a lot.

    « Nice Hotel »

This Best Western was modern, clean, and friendly. It should deserve a Very Good to Excellent rating by what the outside and inside look like. There is a problem with the vagrants and bums that solicit money on or around the hotel at times. Don't walk you dog across the street at the Calvary Church or park. they are sleeping all over the place. I recognize that is not the hotels problem but you think they would have the police in the area more.

« Convenient Place to Stay Before an Early Flight But... »

The Evergreen Inn/Best Western in Federal Way worked out well for us. We stayed the night before a flight for a cruise. Bed was comfortable, and we did the stay and park for $169 (though we thought it was supposed to be $149). Because we left really early on their shuttle to the airport, we missed the full breakfast. They gave us a brown bag of fruit and a roll, but they put it in the same bag so the roll was smashed. If you leave early, you may want to look for a hotel that doesn't provide breakfast since you won't be able to enjoy that anyway. The desk clerk was on her own and still did a great job. Perhaps a little more help would get people to their rooms a little quicker.

« Hot water problems and rude staff »

We reserved a one bedroom King suite with a whirlpool. The room was okay, but just not the high quality suite we were expecting. The door had a 2 inch gap under it so all hallway noise from other guests was quite loud. The door of the bathroom was not clean (someone wiped their nose on the door). The second day of our trip, the hot water quit. After alerting the front desk, she informed me that that room has had problems with the hot water. (Then why wasn't it fixed or out of order?) I explained that I reserved the room because we wanted the whirlpool, but the front desk employee simply said, "Sorry there I nothing I can do." I was very unimpressed with the employees lack of help and rudeness. We will definitely not be staying here again!

    « Would stay again »

It was still a fairly good price for the hotel they just need to update the bathrooms. We paid for a whirl pool tub and it was very old and dirty I would not put my baby in it. I was very disappointed about that. That is one of the reasons we booked this room.
