    « Great Place... »

I stayed here one night on a Saturday. The parking lot was packed and I did not hear a single sound in the room. I was on the third floor away from the elevators and stairwells, but still, no outside or internal noise. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Check in was quick and friendly too. The breakfast was OK (cereal, waffle iron, hot eggs and sausage, small yogurt). There was hot coffee available in to go cups too. I would not hesitate to stay here again, great room for the price of $113.

« Good place to stay »

We stayed this time to visit my daughter who goes to UWEC. The facility is very nice. Rooms, pool and breakfasts are great. We have stayed her many times and will stay again next time we visit the area.

    « Seminar Stay »

Very impressed overall with this hotel. At check-in I was offered an upgrade to a king suite for the price of a standard room. The room was great, bed very comfortable, and clean. Staff is very friendly. The appearance of the hotel is very nice and as advertised. Good breakfast variety.

    « Perfect location »

The motel provided a large room, a competitive breakfast and friendly service. It was perfectly located near the freeway exit and close to several dining choices. I had also chosen it due to its proximity to the bike trail and it turned out to be very convenient.

« Very friendly staff, good value »

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and we appreciate the good relationship they have with the campus. The hotel is clean and breakfast was what you might expect for a continental breakfast. Close to Eau Claire campus too.

    « A weekend relaxation get away »

This hotel was really nice. It was recenty remodeled & updated, so it looks nice inside &the rooms are clean. The continental breakfast is good - eggs & sausage, pancakes, cereal, coffee, and more - definitely worth it. Free WiFi included, but cuts in and out constantly. Make sure to request no -smoking room if that's what you really want. We didn't request & you can sure tell from the smoky smell that our room has been smoked in... but that's our fault for not asking. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel - great value for the price, and the staff is friendly & helpful.

« Quilt retreat by The Calico Shoppe in Eau Claire, WI »

This is always the best place to stay for our quilting retreat. We have been staying here for several years each October and March and have always been treated like royalty. Our needs are always met. The rooms are clean and neat, the breakfasts are good and hot and the catered meals are so much better than they were previously . We wait to see what is being served!! I make reservations for the next retreat and they are always accommodating and it's there when the time comes. I will be back in March.

« Quilt retreat. sponsored by The Cotton Shoppe of Eau Claire »

The staff greeted us warmly. We checked in to find our rooms is their usual fine condition. The conference Center was set up to accommodate 48 quilters, their machines and excess supplies. The food, supplied by the kitchen was superb. The salads were fresh and of the highest quality. The entrees were just right for the large number of guests. We are already looking forward to our next retreat in March, 2017.

« Attended a quilt retreat at the hotel along with 40+ women. »

The same group of 40+ women have been attending quilt retreat twice a year at this property for the past several years. Our rooms are clean and well appointed. Carpeting has been changed with additional updates throughout the hotel within this past year. Our meals are served in the conference room by a friendly and courteous staff. The tables are nicely decorated and the food is quite good. Aside from the cleanliness of this property the most desirable thing for us is the friendly staff. Can't say enough good things regarding their competence and making us feel welcome. As a group, I'm confident the we would recommend this reasonably priced hotel to anyone.

    « Great breakfast »

Great breakfast selections and nice quality rooms. The wifi was a bit of a pain as it kept requiring a person to log in multiple times a day. I like the new couches and chairs. Very comfortable. The new carpeting is also nice.

    « Eau Claire »

Hotel accommodations were great and staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel was easy to locate and within a reasonable distance to many restaurants. It served as a perfect stop for our cross country adventure.

    « Mom's Funeral »

Wanted a perfect comfortable stay for a decent price and I got it. I was traveling for my mom's funeral and needed to be relaxed and not have a bad night sleep. Loved the fact with my rewards points that I could get a King suite so affordable. My wife used the bedroom to relax and watch TV while I worked writing a Eulogy for my mom. Everything went perfect.

« Nice Place To Stay »

The hotel is very nice and has a great breakfast selection. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff is very accommodating to the guests. There are many great restaurants nearby the hotel property.

« Excellent value and experience »

Paid over $200 last night in twin cities area due to the Ryder Cup. This was a better motel and a much lower price. Will add this site on our list of favorite places to stay. The room was comfortable, although we would have liked another chair. The lighting was good. Water pressure in the sink and tub were excellent. The tub did not hold water well, but that is a minor problem. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and worked well. Good food was located nearby. The breakfast was excellent.

    « Oct 1 »

We stayed here after a wedding. The room was very nice and very clean but the caulking in the bathroom could be re done as it looks very dirty. They were also out of coffee at 930am which was quite a disappointment. Other than that a very nice place.

    « Great! »

I have stayed at this location many times for business and I am always satisfied. It's located close enough to decent restaurants that it's easy to grab food and a drink but not too close to the downtown area to deal with the partying.

« Nice room, excellent service! »

The desk clerk, Coner (yes, only one n) was a breath of fresh air! He was personable and went above expectations helping us out with a couple of problems. He recommended a place to eat which was very good. The room was spacious, clean and modern. Easy outdoor parking and within easy drive to local restaurants.

    « Friendly Staff »

We stayed here back in August going up to Mall of America. On our way home we decided to stay again with them. As we walked in Connor recognized us and was very helpful and gave us the same room we had before per our request. The hotel was clean and my boys loved the pool area and breakfast. Plan on staying here again in the future.

    « Best Western PLUS!!! »

Needed a place to stay one night while visiting Eau Claire for the first time. This hotel had everything we were expecting and more. Friendly and professional staff, clean, up to date and a good location near University. Our room, a king suite, was larger than we expected with a door to separate the bedroom. A Flat screen TV in each room. It was quiet, so no need to use the earplugs furnished on the nightstand. The breakfast included hot items such as waffles, eggs and sausage. What a treat to find this for under $100!

    « Headed home »

Stayed 1 night. Older appearing hotel with some updates. I did not think the halls and our room smelled as fresh as I would have liked. Our room was clean, bed and linens very nice. Nice sized room and bathroom. Breakfast was nice and included eggs, sausage, multiple breads and rolls.

    « best western »

great staff. friendly. very CLEAN. would recommend this hotel to anyone. pet friendly. very good brbareakfast. nice selection. rooms smelled great. comfortable beds. nice pool area. arcade for kids. vending machines. shopping in the area. fitness area.

    « Group with AACA/VCCA »

We enjoyed the stay both of the times we have visited. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant. If I would be planning an event near here, I would definitely put this location at the top of my list as it is close to the freeway but it feels like you are in a secluded place. We had many friends with us that enjoyed the experience as well.

« Came to the area »

We planned a 2-day fun day for children and stayed here because Best Western hotels are normally really great. Staff are really friendly. We arrived about 30 minutes early and checked to see if we could check in early and they found an open room for us! That was very cool. We went swimming, 3ft to 5ft & hot tub 3ft. They had a small game room, kids liked spending a few bucks there. The beds could've been more firm but the pillows were awesome. There was a nice vanity set (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, make up remover) and a little duck for the tub. Bathroom was nicely sized! Breakfast was in a nice area with many choices, see pictures. We went to Brewskis pub to grab kids a kiddie cocktail, small area so wet didn't stay. Had their pizza at another Best Western and it was good. All in all, great stay and would stay again!

    « Business stay »

The appearance of the hotel was very clean and tidy. The room was also clean and modernly decorated. The water pressure was great when taking a shower. The bed was comfortable. The hotel room doors slam very loudly so you know when people are coming & going throughout the night/day. The continental breakfast was well stocked and the variety was good (make your own waffles, sausage biscuits, fruit, cereal, pastries, juice coffee.

« Friendly Staff, But Disappointing Stay Overall »

My husband and I went to Eau Claire on a whim to get out of Milwaukee for a weekend. Neither of us had ever been there. We got to town and did not yet have a hotel reservation. We got off the freeway and saw a brand new Staybridge Suites-- I suggested we stay there. My husband, however, wanted to stay at a hotel with more amenities, specifically an in-room whirlpool. I looked on Trip Advisor and saw this Best Western was rated very highly, so we decided to book it. We got to the hotel and were greeted by a very friendly front desk person. We got to our room (a whirlpool suite on the first floor, but I don't remember the room number). The room was outdated, but seemed clean. Once we got our bags unpacked we noticed a horrible musty smell by the mini fridge. I'm guessing the refrigerator had leaked in the past, and the carpet was never properly cleaned. We were only planning on staying there 1 night, so we didn't make an issue of it. I really wished we would have changed rooms though, because the musty/moldy smell got worse throughout our stay. As expected for a weekend in the summer, there were mostly families with young children staying at the hotel. Children ran up and down the hallway most of our stay. There was a bar/restaurant on the lobby level, but it was very small and uninviting, so we went out for dinner. Overall, we would not return to this hotel due to the mildew/musty smelling room, outdated furnishings, and higher pricing than average (we paid $159/ night, when the BRAND NEW Staybridge Suites was going for $135/ night-- definitely regret not staying there!). I'm very confused as to why this hotel is so highly rated on this site, as our stay definitely did not support that.

    « Daughter's Wedding Reception »

We recently held our daughter's wedding reception here and we were very happy with the way things were handled. Sally and the rest of the staff were wonderful helping us plan the wedding for our daughter who was living out of state at the time we were planning the event. Questions were answered promptly. Communication was great. They helped out whenever possible. We received many compliments on how well the food was prepared. We would highly recommend the Best Western Plus.

    « Disappointed »

Room had an unpleasant, almost moldy odor. I was traveling with my dog and booked for three nights. I was told the dog would be $20. The person taking the reservation did not make it clear that the fee was $20 PER NIGHT. Ridiculous for a 14 pound dog.

    « Road Trip »

My husband and I were a a little road trip to visit relatives for the evening. We live in Central MN so after a long trip to Mauston, WI and after leaving their house early evening we decided to stay over in Eau Claire, WI. Since it started to rain we thought we would wait it out til morning and get an early start. WE didn't use the pool or bar/lounge but the rest was a good experience. I would stay again.

« Fantastic Friendly and Helpful Front Desk Staff »

Great experience at this hotel. Front desk staff went above and beyond to help us. We had a kayak on the roof of our van which I was worried about and the front desk gal showed us where to park it so she could see it on her monitor at the desk. We came in late at night after driving in a storm and this gal had us all smiling and laughing in no time. Wonderful! The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was great!! The Express check out bill was wrong (did not reflect our AARP discount) but the manager fixed that quickly and was really nice. We interacted with 4 employees and they ALL seemed to actually care about us and made us smile.

    « Early Doctor's appointment »

We had to be in Eau Claire for a very early surgery. We decided to drive up the night before and stay at the Best Western Plus. I was very pleased with the hotel and the staff. The staff we dealt with were very accommodating and helpful. When we checked out at the desk the offer was made to come back after our Doctor's appointment for the breakfast. We will stay there again!

« Convenient location to downtown »

I started out staying at a hotel in Chippewa Falls but relocated here after business necessitated being closer to downtown and more southern Eau Claire. Convenient location Lobby larger than most Staff printed maps, gave good directions Older computer. Probably not secure operating system safe to send personal information.

    « Eau Claire's Oasis »

If you find yourself in need of a hotel in Eau Claire,Wisconsin, look no further than here. An excellent place for the tired traveler. You will find a friendly, helpful courteous staff that will lift your spirits and put a smile on your face. Say hello to Julie if she is at the front desk.

    « Solid choice »

I stayed here this summer while visiting family and I was very pleased with this place. The staff was courteous. It has a nice lobby and breakfast area (breakfast was pretty standard packaged stuff but served its purpose). It also has a nice pool and small fitness room. Overall, filled with traveling families, quiet, seems well run and has a good vibe. It also accepts pets.

    « Business Stay »

I had an associate and his wife visit the area to look for housing for a future move. They enjoyed the hotel and the area. It was close enough that they could visit his future place of employment in Chippewa Falls. It was very convenient for them to look for a place to live in Eau Claire as the hotel is close to many rentals nearby. The staff was friendly and they had no issues with payment being handled from our corporate office with a receipt sent in a timely manner.

« This is the BEST in Best Western! »

A great Best Western that will not disappoint! Upon arriving you will be met by a very welcoming staff, warm comfortable lobby, and a great well updated, clean, comfortable guest room! I travel 8 months a years and encourage you to stay at Best Western Eau Claire, Wi. You will not be disappointed!!

« Neat, clean, overall very good »

We've been happy overall with Best Western so that's why we chose this one. We weren't surprised. It was neat, clean, nicely decorated. Overall a good experience. The best - a quiet room air conditioner - yeah! Usually even the properly functioning ones are too loud for me. Finally a quiet one. Little annoyances - the plastic toilet seat was loose - although we've seen worse, and the Off button on the TV remote didn't want to work - finally got it shut off - I'm not sure what I did differently. Room - clean, neat, bed a little soft for my liking, but that's a very personal thing and I like a firm bed. They were repairing some stucco on the exterior of the front and remodeling some of the convention rooms, but had cleaned up well before the weekend and it didn't affect our stay (at least they're maintaining their facility). Breakfast was good. Precooked warmed up scrambled eggs, sausage patties, etc. The special thing was strawberry glaze and whipped cream for the cook your own waffles. Overall a wonderful breakfast. The afternoon check in gal needed a lesson in cheerful greeting and smiling. She was an attractive young lady, who needed to iron her shirt, and smile more. I also think she would have looked more approachable without the lip ring and a lighter color of lipstick (I'm not a fan of dark purple with black outlines). I'm probably showing my approaching 60 age now. She was polite and took care of our needs without a problem. All the other staff were cheerful, helpful and polite. Neat, clean, overall very good experience.

« Best Western Plus stay »

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone for business or pleasure. All staff are very courteous and helpful. We had 41 people in our group and I never heard one complaint. The children enjoyed the pool area for hours. The adults visited on the patio, in the breakfast room and in the lobby area for hours. We definitely enjoyed the family reunion at this Best Western Plus.

« Noisy doors, otherwise excellent in every other way. »

We stayed here for a family reunion. The sraff was overly accommodating for our group. The facility was very clean and nicely furnished. The pool was nice and warm. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, complete with small refridgerator, microwave and large flat-screen TV. There were plenty of electrical outlets for charging phones and other tech devices, unlike many hotels. The only giveaway to the room's age was the worn seat on the very low stool in the bathroom. The door to the hallway opened and closed very noisily (due to the humidity?) and that could be heard from inside the room at all hours of the day and night, which was a bit bothersome. The hotel provided ear plugs which helped. The included continental breakfast was hot and plentiful. The free area newspaper was appreciated. The hotel was easy to find right off of the Interstate and had many nice eating and shopping places very close by. I would stay here again. There are three floors of rooms. The hotel does have an elevator.

« Love the rubber duck »

On your road trip through the upper Midwest one of our stops was Eau Claire, Mississippi very charming town although be at extremely quiet on this Sunday. Majority of the shops and restaurants are all closed. However the hotel was charming. A big plus for the best western we had Nice rubber duck he ready for the tub which was a darling addition. Bath and Bodyworks supplies for well-done in addition to two sets of earplugs for a double queen room. The pool and spa were clean. Warm and all rule and interior. But this bar seems Peapod we look forward to it tomorrow morning. So far this is one of the better best Western so we stayed at

    « Average hotel »

Pretty average hotel. Didnt use any of the ammendities but they seemed nice. Left to early for breakfast, but they had snack bags made which was cool. The rooms were fine, nothing special. Clean for a best Western hotel.

« Excellent customer service and Great complimentary breakfast »

Our family booked 2 rooms: one for my husband, me, and our 2 teenage sons, and the other one for a family friend. We had not seen this family friend in 12 years and decided to get together with her at this hotel over the July 4th holiday. The front desk people were very accommodating and had excellent customer service skills, especially Coner (night shift) and Brianna (morning shift). Brianna "held her own" when the place was busy and she was by herself, and Coner made time for small talk with us guests as he was cleaning up, etc, and we were playing board games in the pool area at first, and then moved to the "breakfast seating" area. The employees were very friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast was excellent in quality and variety: egg omelets, bacon, waffles, danish rolls, muffins, english muffins, french toast, fruit, cold cereal (3 kinds), yogurt, juice, milk, hard-boiled eggs, etc. (I think there were a few more things that I have forgotten!) Most places have a few rolls, some juice or milk, and maybe some fruit, and that is it for their complimentary breakfast. So we were very impressed with the complimentary breakfast at the Best Western Plus in Eau Claire, WI. We definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay at a really nice hotel with a friendly atmosphere.

    « A Pleasant Stay »

Door are always open at the Best Western Eau Claire. Arrived to the hotel at 4am and was greeted by the front desk. Super friendly and accommodating! Bumped us up to a suite style room. With refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffeemaker, living room with a pull-out couch; the whole enchilada. Caught the free breakfast early and was impressed. Fresh fruits, waffle maker, eggs, sausage, cold and hot cereal, juices, and milk (even non-dairy options) best meal I've had in days. The lobby, hallways, and rooms are extremely clean. Overall a pleasant stay. Thanks

    « Great spot! »

This was a wonderful stay with clean rooms and very friendly service. The hotel was just off the main drag which made it a nice and quiet atmosphere without too much road noise. Coffee was always available in the lobby and I had no problem sleeping between the sheets.

    « Great customer service »

The room we got had a pull out sofa bed and two double beds. Very fresh pillows and blankets. Really clean refrigerator and microwave. Our room also had folgers coffee which is always awesome. They gave us plenty of towels and nice shampoo/conditioner. The staff is super nice and helpful. Also, the breakfast was delicious.

    « Great Hotel »

Would definitely recommend! The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk was so friendly and very accommodating even though we had arrived very late at night after along drive. Room was very spacious, a great deal for the money. They offer a complimentary hot buffet style breakfast that had plenty of options for everyone in our group. We also happened to meet the general manager who was very friendly. You will not be disappointed with this hotel, definitely the best spot in Eau Claire for your money.

« Not My Idea of a Best Western Plus »

The staff at this Best Western was very friendly and welcoming, but I can't say that this was the quality property that I have seen at other Best Western Hotels that have been given the "plus" designation. I have stayed at four other Best Western properties in two other states. They appear to be working through renovations and they seem to have let this property go a little bit. The room was not particularly clean, because my dog found several items on the floor such as earplugs. We were glad to have a room on the first floor, but I would avoid staying in the rooms next to the back entrance. The door makes a loud clicking sound and buzzes if the door is not secure. I can't imagine what it would sound like all night. Breakfast was good and it was pet friendly with plenty of space to "potty" our dog.

    « Pretty nice hotel! »

This may be the nicest Best Western I have stayed at in my life. Room was nice and big, pretty well maintained (shower pressure wasn't that great) - but could use remodeling. Room was clean. The staff was pleasant during our stay. If we are back in this area, I would stay here again. Great location - right off the expressway. About an hour or so from Mall of America. This hotel is also pet friendly, although we weren't travelling with our puppy, it's nice to know!

« Great location, great features for family time »

Attended family reunion and wanted a gathering place for our immediate family. This fit perfectly. The pool area, a lounge area, pet friendly, nourishing breakfast in the morning. Shower didn't have great pressure, but works well, clean. 1st room view was over another building top but they gladly moved us to other side. Also Conor was ready/willing to help keep us comfortable. Melody took great care of our room. Definitely stay again.

    « Great Best Western »

This was perhaps the nicest Best Western I have stayed in, at least in the top FIVE. The King Suites was very nice. It was spacious, well kept, clean, and comfortable. All members of the staff were pleasant and happy, making for an enjoyable atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.

    « Business Stay »

I stay here frequently for work and I am always happy. It's close enough to the highway to make my travel in the morning easy while still being somewhat off the beaten path. The breakfast is my only complaint and I would describe it as so-so. I typically skip the hotel offerings and grab a sandwich from kwik trip. Overall it's reasonably priced with comfortable rooms. Great for a short stay.

« Nice place for a great price »

We were in town for a sporting event and was happy we stayed here again. They moved us to a different room with more sleeping space when they were unable to get us a roll away. The breakfast was good and the staff kept everything stocked. With the hotel being full, we didn't have any issues with noise. Staff was very friendly and the kids had a great time in the pool.

    « great overnight stop »

Room was clean-no rubber tub mat however-nice amenities in bath and very quiet. Staff friendly and helpful which made for a comfortable stay. The Green Mill restaurant nearby is great. They do need to have the Best Western logo on the highway signs where it lists the lodging-would make it easier to find

    « USA trip home »

Hotel was very friendly and inviting Staff was very hospitable Location was convenient to highway and local amenities We needed a pet friendly hotel and this was a good choice. The room location was very convenient to take our dog in and out without disturbing other guests

    « Clean and Friendly »

The staff went above and beyond to make you feel at home. All the rooms have new carpet and are being updated. Comfortable beds and decor is new. Pool, patio, and breakfast areas are nice. Recommend this place to stay and feel good about booking without seeing.

    « Clean & Comfortable »

It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a large group for a sporting tournament and they were accommodating for the group gatherings during our stay and afterwards allowing us to come back to use the lounge area in between games to eat lunch together.

« Nice place to stay »

The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. We were there for a baseball tournament and were only able to call a week ahead of time and they still accommodated us and gave us a block together. There was a big wedding going on then too and staff quickly staffed breakfast and were friendly and willing to help.

« Just an average hotel »

The hotel is average and borders on outdated. The internet is unreliable if you can get it to work at all. Housekeeping is questionable. The staff is friendly and appear to care. Good breakfast options.

    « Awesome! »

This hotel was clean, friendly and great amenities! There was always someone available to help and answers our questions. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. My family will stay here again and again!

    « Best Western - Eau Claire »

Stayed one night for business. Good location. Great, friendly staff. The hotel was very clean. Everything was ran really smooth during my entire stay. I would stay there again for sure. Did not check out the bar, but it's cool option to have on site.

    « Absolutely PERFECT! »

I stayed for a dog show and we were given little hand decorated treat bags upon check - in. It contained treats for our dogs and bags to clean up. Excellent and professional way to get peopl eto clean up after their pets.

    « Needs serious improvement »

First the good points: friendly front desk staff, clean lobby and food service area. Second the problem areas; while our room and bathroom were clean, the whirlpool bath had a ugly, dirty ring in it. There was a large black mess on the facet side that could simply be wiped off without any scrubbing. The internet system was free but not at all reliable. It would disconnect many times in 20 minutes. The sink plug handle fell apart with the first use. The bed pillows were extremely weary - long past replace stage. This hotel is undergoing some renovations so perhaps some of these issues will be corrected. In its current condition it is not up to Best Western standards.

    « Wonderful Staff »

The best part of this hotel is the staff. They were very kind and very accommodating. The room was nice and clean. Hot breakfast and coffee. Indoor pool and fitness center were a good addition. Also pet friendly :) thank you!

« Convenient and friendly staff »

Good size rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selections, with fresh. Food and nice variety. Maid service needs much improvement as amenities were not replaced without asking for them. Staff knows area and can make some good recommendations. Good, convenient location.

    « Good size rooms »

The view from the room was some sort of industrial construction storage site. Also, when we booked they never asked about room type preference (did not know there we different options) and my spouse and I were assigned a room with two full beds. Yet my brothers who booked a room a month after us were asked what type of room they wanted and got a one bedroom suite for the exact same cost. The pool and the breakfast were very nice though.

This is now my Go To hotel when in the Eau Claire area. They offered me a to-go breakfast as I left before the official breakfast start time. The room had bottled water, ear plugs, cotton balls, q-Tips, and makeup remover wipes, along with the usual shampoo etc. I felt very safe here too!

« Wonderful service, lovely rooms, and very clean »

Helpful staff, clean, neat rooms, and plenty of space. Extremely comfortable. I had an issue with a dim light over the sink; front desk immediately switched me to another room, checked to make sure the lighting was sufficient, and thanked me for reporting the issue. Breakfast is a lovely continental breakfast with eggs and sausage, cereal, toast, bagels, etc. More than enough choices without going to a restaurant.

    « Roomy and peaceful »

I stayed on the third room in a kings room. It was peaceful all night. The room was very clean. The Hotel itself looks a little out-dated, but not too bad. The wifi connection was decent even though I was told it would be very slow. The check-in process was quick and painless. Parking lot had plenty of room.

« Good stay with good value »

Very fine stay in moderately priced hotel. Easy parking. Breakfast more than adequate. Staff very friendly. Good location from the University. Spent one night at the local Holiday Inn. Over priced. No breakfast. Less good location. Coffee pot didn't work

    « Lovely Hotel »

My family and I absolutely loved the hotel. It was quiet and had a wonderful pool. It was a very decent price with a king suite only $112 with our AAA discount. It was extremely clean and had lovely helpful staff. The first and third floors are pet friendly and the second floor is pet free incase you have pet allergies. We plan on staying again in our next trip to Eau Claire.

    « Nice People »

The young man who checked me in was very informative. After finding out i was a diamond level member he started telling me all about the promotion's going on and ones coming up. He really promoted the Best Western name; refreshing... The hotel is very clean; rooms are nice. The lounge is small but the bar tender is very nice; good place to relax. Breakfest was good. Price was fair.

« great place to sleep! »

Such a great best western! Julie behind the desk helped save some money. Nice pool, fitness center. free breakfast and coffee in the morning. Worth the money! Quiet and not a lot of people stayed on a Monday night.

    « Unexpected surprise »

We arrived 20 minutes before check in time and the room we reserved was not ready so the staff put us in a king suite that had a sofa and computer desk which we loved. The staff was very helpful in giving us information to the Jazz Festival and even printed out the bands playing at the local venues. We will stay at this hotel again when we're in the area.

    « Comfortable »

This hotel was very comfortable for our leisure travel. Everything was great. The walls were a bit "thin", however. We were able to easily hear noises from surrounding rooms/hallways. Breakfast was good.

    « Great experience »

I travel a lot for business, which means lots of hotel stays. I tend to prefer Best Westerns - and this location is one of the best. Absolutely terrific employees - every single person I had contact with was incredibly professional and helpful. Refreshing! Also, extra small touches in the room (earplugs, toiletry kit...even a silly touch like a rubber ducky on the tub) made the stay a smidge nicer. Clean and comfortable. Great choice for Eau Claire!

    « Excellent problem resolution »

I checked in at 9:30 pm and immediately noticed a strong, bad smell when I opened the door to the room - I thought from the sink area. Fortunately, I had a bedroom door. I was tired so I opened the window, closed the bedroom door and went to sleep. I reported the problem the next morning. The front desk person was polite and concerned and told me they would check into it. When I returned in the evening, I was recognized by the front desk lady. She told me the maintenance people had looked into the problem, and I was moved to a fantastic room right across the hall. A big upgrade at no additional cost to me!

    « excellent »

Best Western Plus has excellent service, very comfortable bed, clean room and good breakfest. It was worth the money. Beautiful view outside the pool area. My husband and I will be using this hotel again.

    « easy peasy, clean & comfy »

This place is easy to get to, easy to get in and out of, and has good breakfast and internet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's not fancy, but it's a good value. I usually go alone, and I don't want to spend too much money on my room for an entire week

« Price and location made this stay. »

We were in town for an event on campus and this hotel met our needs perfectly. We weren't at the hotel that much but were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was a standard hotel option with a couple of hot items (sausage and eggs, along with a waffle maker). We didn't bring our dog but they said they were pet friendly, so we may consider for next time. All in all we would stay here again.

« A Cold Night in Eau Claire »

When we arrived our room was about 50 degrees. They were booked, so no other rooms were available. The room never really warmed up, so it was a miserable night to sleep. Would recommend that you check the room before paying for it. The breakfast was nothing special, watery eggs and sausage. It was the typical fair.

    « Comfortable stay »

I like the location of this hotel for access to upper and lower UWEC campus and the rooms (some I like better than others). Good accommodations for the price. Full breakfast which always has a couple hot items and waffles and pancakes. The hot items are institutional but fine.

    « Delightful Stay »

Upon checking in, I had difficulty with my i pad and with the assistance of the check in clerk, was able to obtain services. Room was extremely comfortable and very clean. Have stayed here in the past and plan on staying here again in the future. Excellent representatives for the Best Western Hotel Brand.

« Wonderful choice for family gathering »

We reserved a block of rooms and a conference room for family and friends who were in town to attend a funeral. We were pleased with the friendly and professional manner in which the staff helped us to provide us with a private space to reconnect and to share memories on the night before the funeral.

    « One night stay »

Clean friendly service nice location to 94 plenty of restaurants around. Definitely will stay here again. Good continental breakfast. They have a nice indoor pool. The hot tub in the room was nice. All the amenities were provided for our stay.

« They put the PLUS in our stay »

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Although I had read positive reviews prior to booking it exceeded my expectations! Very clean, quiet, and comfortable and a great value. We've paid much more for other hotels and didn't find the hotel as clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel!

« Loved our stay!! Beautiful room at a reasonable price! »

Loved this hotel. Upgraded to the suite and it was well worth it. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great place to stay with kids. Loved the little details like the ear plugs next to the bed and the rubber duckie by the bath tub. A nice breakfast was included with your stay, and the overall price was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly. We look forward to staying again!

« I ended up staying here unexpectedly during a Spring snow storm. »

I pulled in off the interstate during a snow storm when I just could risk traveling any further. The desk clerk was so friendly and helpful. I asked if they had a room and he said yes they did. I asked how much and he said our normal rate for the night is $94 but he could give it to me for $85. I would have been happy with the $94 price but was grateful for the $85 price as you might imagine. I was soooo grateful they weren't hiking up the price as they had travelers at their mercy. The room was clean and comfortable with 2 complimentary bottles of water. I went to the bar to eat, however they only serve pre-made pizza, it was tasty. Went very well with the beer I brought with the pizza up to my room to eat. There was construction that began at 7 am but they had provided ear plugs in the room. Was puzzled when I saw them on the night stand that evening but at 7 am appreciated them being there. The breakfast was adequate for a hot complimentary meal, like most hotels offer. Since I had to get stranded during my 8 hour drive, I was happy to have found a friendly and generous hotel.

    « Very nice... »

Very nice and clean room. We stayed in a king suite and were not disappointed. Just the 2 of us but extra space is always nice. This room had it. The bedroom is separated with a door so the earlier risers can move around without disturbing the late sleepers. Pool is nice. Breakfast is a plus. Great value and proximity to Stout. Will definitely be back.

    « A cozy, relaxing stay »

A very nice hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, courteous staff, nice pool area. Breakfast was great - typical hotel food. Location was close to downtown area Oakwood Mall. Weather didn't cooperate for us to use the trail system but that was right in our backyard. Only complaint was that they were doing some construction and we were not notified of this when making reservations. No work was being done while we were there but some of the stairways were unfinished. There was also a second entrance, besides the main entryway, that we used, due to it being closer to our room. However this entrance was never locked. A real safety issue.

    « Great Port in a Storm »

On our way to Glacier National Park in Montana, we spent a night in Eau Claire, Wisconsin as a major winter storm hit (even though it is spring now). The man at the desk said they expected 6-12 inches. They had more than six, but probably less than 12. The staff was great, the room was great, the breakfast was great (and set out earlier than they had told us), and they even have "to go" breakfast bags made up at the counter in case you are in a hurry when you leave. We enjoyed everything about our stay and highly recommend it for anyone traveling in the Eau Claire areas!

« Back for annual visit »

When we got there we realized that our reservation was for another time, but it was no problem to switch to the current time we were there. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub and we all enjoy the free breakfast buffet. A nice lobby to meet up with others in our group. We have made reservations to come back next year.

« Great experience and even better service »

We opted to pay a little more to stay here instead of a cheaper hotel. They upgraded us to a suite no questions asked, the room was clean and in great shape, it was quiet, and they had a nice pool with a hot tub. The breakfast was good (they serve hot food) which saved us money. I cannot say enough about the friendly service and attention to detail. It was a very enjoyable stay.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a high quality hotel at a mid range price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and clean, a pleasure to stay at the Best Western Plus Eau Claire.

« Recent stay in Eau Claire »

I recently stayed at the Best Western when attending a conference in Eau Claire. The hotel is conviently located near several excellent restaurants (I especially recommend Bijou Bistro and Fuji Shushi) The staff at the hotel were more than welcoming and made sure everything was to my liking. I have stayed in this hotel in the past and plan on returning to stay again the next time I need a hotel in the area.

    « Top Notch Hotel »

I stay at a LOT of hotels traveling three Midwestern states for my job. This Best Western ranks right up at the very top. A great experience from my initial phone call, right through check out. Incredibly professional, friendly staff. A fantastic, spotlessly CLEAN room with all the right little touches and additions, from great toiletries, ear plugs on the nightstand (wow) to WHAT? A rubber ducky on the bath mat? Plus a seriously comfy bed. Just a top notch experience at a great price. I am now a BIG fan of this place. This will be my home base when working in the area from now on.

    « Vising patient at hospital. 3/8/16 »

Hotel is very clean. Has a hot & cold continental breakfast. Nice pool area and hot tub. Would recommend this best Western to anyone. Rooms are very nice. Small bar area for drinks only. Hotel does offer pizza but no restaurant. Make sure you bring your food or eat at many of the restaurants in the area. Some resturants deliver. Will stay again.. Mary o.

    « Excellent Stay »

Business stay for one night. Excellent staff, clean hotel, and great breakfast. I have stayed at this hotel several times now and they never disappoint. Front desk staff have always been very helpful and friendly.

    « Very nice place »

I stayed there for our class reunion weekend, I live 35 miles away so I stayed there for 2 nights, first night at a golf course, second night was held right at the hotel. They had a great staff there, check in was fast and easy. The dinner we had there was excellent, drinks people enjoyed, great music. A very nice place to stay

« Great place to stay »

Traveled from Florida out of all the hotels we stayed in this was one of the best. People at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We checked in and there was water in the room waiting for among other amenities. Breakfast was also great. They also gave out a grab and go bags with water, banana and a granola bar which was very handy ro take along for the trip home.

« Decent Place to Stay »

Nothing fancy about this hotel. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good in the morning and they have grab and go bags for people on the run. Dog friendly which was very nice. They only charge 20.00 for a pet fee. They return it to you when you leave. Will stay again if in the area.

    « Great surprise »

I have not considered a Best Western prior to the last couple of stays but I was pleasantly surprised at how far they have come in the value and service areas from my past opinion. The amenities offered are modern (wifi, hot breakfast, etc) were great and the staff at two different facilities were terrific and very friendly. They were good conversationalists and ready to do whatever you wanted or asked for and gave great information

    « Quiet and Clean »

Very nice hotel if you're in Eau Claire. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Near The Chippewa State Trail. Close to several restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. Easy access to UW- Eau Claire, too.

    « Last Minute Stay »

Was driving through and decided to stay the night in Eau Claire. Asked for availability at the front desk. The woman working the desk was very friendly and offered me a discount on a room as it was late and they had extra rooms available. The room was very clean and well-stocked. They even had 2 bottles of complimentary water in the room. I didn't eat the breakfast or use the pool but both looked good. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

    « A very nice hotel! »

I am so glad that I called the hotel directly, to make my reservation. Connor was very helpful with my reservation, as well as info regarding the town and college. On arrival, I was lucky enough to have him check us in to the room, and make sure that the room was suitable for us and our handicapped dog. So thankful that Best Western accomidates these important family members! The room was very clean and comfortable. The lobby was very inviting, the pool and hot tub crystal clean and the perfect temperatures. The only improvements I would suggest are a definite upgrade to the bar/lounge area. I had an egg/cheese omelet thing for breakfast, and a cup of coffee. It was ok. I always wish for a much stronger brew than is usually served.

    « Very Impressive! »

Booked a room last minute. Arrived, they gave us an unexpected upgrade to a suite. Very Nice! Young man at the front desk did his job very well, breakfast was one of the better continental breakfasts I've had at a hotel.

    « Great Hotel! »

We were kindly greeted when we walked in. Our room was neat and clean! It wasn't very busy so there was no one at the pool which was very nice. Staff was super friendly when we checked in and out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

    « Good value »

I didn't program my GPS for this hotel, trusting that the hotel would be listed at the exit sign on I-94 along with all of the other hotels in the area. By the 4th Eau Claire exit I realized that this wasn't going to be the case so I had to exit and stop to look up the address. The check-in clerk was very friendly and efficient. I was assigned a room on the main floor. Had I been aware that main floor rooms are assigned to pet owners I would have requested another floor. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was a sports team staying at the hotel and they were gathered in the breakfast area. The noise didn't carry into our room but the clerk was apologetic regardless. Breakfast was plentiful and very good with the usual offerings. Overall we were very satisfied with our one night stay and would recommend this BW to other road travellers as there are very few acceptable hotels in the Eau Claire area.

    « Wonderful Stay »

We will definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again! The staff was efficient and thoughtful and the room was very comfortable. The room had some fun things in it like the rubber ducky in the bathroom on the side of the tub and the bottles of water for our convenience.

« Hard Pillows but otherwise a Nice Hotel »

This is a nice hotel, it clean and well appointed. We stayed here on our way to Ashland, WI. The bathroom was well done and clean. They even had a little rubber ducky on the edge of the tub. The only issue with the bathroom was some rust on the door jam, but I'll give them a pass on this as it wasn't that noticeable and they had a sign out saying they were renovating. The bed was comfortable, but if you moved the whole bed moved with you. The biggest issue I have is with the pillows. I think they were 5 pillows on the bed and all of them were overstuffed and firm. We did are best with the pillows given, if I would have know how much it would have affected our sleep I would have call down for different pillows. Overall in our experience this is an issue with Best Westerns in general. I guess I don't understand why, if you are putting 5 pillows on the bed, can't there be some variation on the pillows... Oh well it wasn't the end of the world. Just putting my two cents in :) The included breakfast was good with several options. The scrabbled eggs were good and they had a microwave to heat up pastries which was nice. The hotel is just off the interstate and not really within Walking distance of restaurants or shopping. But if you are looking for a well rounded hotel to spend the night in, this should fit the bill.

    « Good Service »

We brought our pet and were told we would have to have a first floor room. When we got there to check in & advised the clerk that we had our dog, & it was left in the comments on our reservation as well. The clerk asked if we would like a 1st floor room since we had the dog (I thought it was the only option), but we definitely preferred the 1st floor. She upgraded us to a different room type to accommodate us. We really appreciated the 1st floor room so we didn't have as far to go to let our dog outside. The room was very clean and everything was in working order. Check In/Out was quick and painless. Breakfast was great.

    « Comfortable »

This hotel is in the process of updating. The pool looks nice, but I have not used it. The staff is always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is typical. The king suites are nice because there is a door to the bedroom which really helps with any hall noise. I did not like the suite with a whirlpool.

« StaffTreat You Like Family »

ALL of the staff were exceptional in their professionalism and personal care they showed to us as guests. I have never had such a high level of service at any other hotel. . . this was our best hotel experience.

    « Super Awesome Service! »

After flying into MSP on a red-eye to attend a funeral, we arrived at this hotel in Eau Claire at 7 am with plans to spend one night. They were so very accommodating by allowing us to check in that early in the morning so we could rest a bit and clean up before heading out for services at 9 am. This gesture made a difficult time so much easier! Even though we checked in a number of hours prior to a normal check-in time, we were still offered their bereavement rate. In addition, the hotel is very well kept. Our third floor room was spacious and up to date and included microwave/fridge/coffee maker. Though other commenters reference not being able to eat in the lobby/breakfast area, our family gathered there in the evening for pizza and we were never discouraged from doing this. This will definitely be our #1 choice the next time we're in Eau Claire. I'm so grateful to the hospitality of the staff there and will never forget the kindness shown during our 24+ hour stay!!

« Third floor is the best floor in town. »

It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. On my many extended roadtrips through Wisconsin and into North Central Minnesota for business and pleasure, I often figure this would be the place I should expect to be getting tired and in need of some total relaxation and a good sleep, so I make reservations accordingly. All who work here are as friendly and professional as can be, and from how things are running around the hotel, they must be associated with some awesome management.

    « Dont take kids »

This hotel is perfect for a business traveler who wants to stay in their room and not use the amenities of the hotel. We stayed for two nights with family and friends, we wanted to eat pizza together in the lobby/ breakfast area which has windows looking into the pool area, we thought this would be perfect, the kids could play while the parents could still observe the kids playing. The hotel staff told us we could not eat there and we needed to move to our rooms. The next day this kids were playing in the pool area with a football, to which someone (I believe he worked for the hotel but had no identification) told us they could not play with a football in the pool area because other customers wanted to use the pool. I warn families (with children over 5), sports teams, and anyone wanting to talk to stay away from this hotel.

    « Outstanding »

I recommend this hotel more than any other in Wisconsin. It truly was one of the nicest, and cleanest hotels we have stayed in. At check-in the staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and welcoming. Breakfast area was clean and well tended to in the morning. Husband enjoyed the waffles, and I appreciated the options of having a carb free breakfast.

    « A great place to stay!!! »

This hotel is a gem in Eau Claire, WI. A friendly staff, great breakfast and bar. Close to UWEC and business section of town. Recreation is all around with easy access to bike trail and walking paths that span the whole city. Comfortable beds and pillows. Well appointed suite that allows for private and entertaining areas. Got to love watching TV while sitting on a couch and free internet!

« Truely the best possible experience - best value ever in a hotel »

From start to finish this hotel could not have been better. The breakfast is over the top! The employees told me that a new manager took over about a year ago and made a lot of changes. They are very proud of the job they do and rightly so! Everyone was so helpful and accomodating. There are so many little extras that make you fee welcome - too many to mention and I would not want to spoil the surprise of discovering them for yourself. I will not stay anywhere else in Eau Claire - ever! Incredible value for a reasonable price.

« A Great Inn after a long day on the road »

We were well received on arrival and upgraded to a suite. No objection to having a dog. The suite was very spacious and very comfortable. Getting out with dog was very easy and didn't require going through the lobby. We enjoyed a drink delivered from the bar in our room with food we had brought along from lunch. Breakfast came with the room and included egg and sausage patties as well as breads, juices and coffee.

    « Great overnight stay! »

Went home to visit family for the holidays. Was upgraded to a king suite due to Best Western Reward status. This allowed grandkids to come and visit us for a few hours but provided a quiet place to stay rather than intruding on family. Bed was extremely comfortable, soft enough for me, firm enough for my husband. Great breakfast, nice pool facilities, although they may want to look into installing a drain or a mat or another type of flooring in the restroom off the pool area. Very treacherous when wet!

    « Clean and Comfy »

Very nice Hotel for our Group. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice Breakfast with all the amenities of a Hotel Restraunt and Bar and the kids loved the pool. Tucked away from the Busy mall area, but only a minute by car to it. Nice Hotel.

« Comfortable place to stop »

After a long day driving in the rain, the hotel was a good place to stop and relax. The price was good, the atmosphere relaxing and the staff attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the comfortable room and the chance to relax with TV and in room whirlpool. It was a nice place to stop after a long day on the road

    « Excellent »

Stayed here on our way through from Pennsylvania to North Dakota for the holiday. It was excellent, we have 3 fussy teen girls and a dog, and the suite was perfect. The girls stayed in the living room with a pull out bed and cot, and we had our own private bedroom. It was cozy, clean, and an excellent value!

« Affordable but you get what you pay for »

I stayed here for one night as a seminar I was attending was located right at this hotel. It is an older Best Western that is in need of some upgrades. The rooms are dark and tired looking. The toilet had weird red "marks on it. There was some plastic water bottle covers laying on the floor when I arrived (makes me wonder if the room was actually cleaned before it was rented to me). The wall above the bed has some "holes" in it. The floors have some weird "soft spots" particularly in the 2nd floor hallway. The front desk was very friendly. It is an okay place to stay for a night, but beyond that - I would pass....

    « Nice Hotel! »

We stayed at the hotel with a wedding group. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and roomy. We swam in the pool and it was great! I was very impressed with this hotel! Very nice and clean! I would stay there again if I needed a hotel in that area. Well worth it!

« The best Best Western we have encountered. »

Loved this Best Western Plus in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The staff is very pleasant, efficient, informative. The free breakfast buffet was very nice and had all we wanted. The room was super clean, even the sheets smelled clean. The bathroom was very clean, had quality and Matching shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. The temperature control worked! TV station selections were great. There was a coffee maker, microwave, frig and free water in the room. Loved it! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

    « Great stay »

Great hotel with Great staff clean rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and fresh with plenty to eat. Good location to many restaurants and things to do in the areas. Plan to stay again in the future

« Eau Claire Best Western »

Third floor is the best. Excellent staff and rooms. Location close to campus and many restaurants. Near interstate 94. Third floor is the best. Excellent staff and rooms. Location close to campus and many restaurants.

    « Excellent Experience »

We were looking for a nice hotel to spend the weekend with my daughter at college. The hotel was very clean, the pool and hot tub were perfect for us, and the continental breakfast was fabulous! Great hotel for the price.

    « Parents' weekend stay »

We were very happy with this hotel choice. It is very close to the UWEC campus. The rooms were clean and the staff attentive. The breakfast was warm and more than enough. We enjoyed the space of the suite. We would choose this hotel again.

« Meets expectations for this type of hotel »

Rented a suite for the weekend. The suite has has plenty of room for a family of 4. The beds were comfortable but it was a little noisy when the heater fans are running and there was some traffic noise from the road alongside the hotel. The hotel recently upgraded the pool area and is working on other areas of the hotel. I thought the breakfast was better than most comparable hotels but the area is small and the tables fill up fast. If I stay in Eau Claire again I would stay at this hotel.

    « Good Value »

Friendly personnel and fantastic accommodations, Twin queens with plenty of room, well decorated and very clean. Highly recommend this location and Hotel. Easily located from Interetate and close to great restaurants which were highly recommended by staff.

    « Great Place »

I stay over 100 nights a year in hotels and have been doing so for over 20 years. What makes a great place is hospitality and cleanliness. This place has both. Is it a brand new hotel ( no it's not) but it's what I would call a friendly place who's staff does everything to make your stay comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone. P.S. The Rubber Ducky in the bathroom still has me smiling!

« Recent return to favorite place to stay in Eau Claire »

Prior to my retirement, I stayed at this location when working in the Eau Claire area. This trip was personal and we elected to try it again after a period of several years. It was great to see they have maintained the high level of service and attention to detail as we witnessed in the past. The desk personnel was very friendly and the facility was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast offerings were kept warm or chilled as required and an attendant was present to see supplies were replenished when needed. They were doing some routine touch-ups to the pool area and the facade of the building which didn't distract from our experience at all. It was a pleasure staying with them again and would highly recommend. Thank you for another pleasant stay!

« Another Great Best Western! »

Great hotel. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Stopped in Aug. on our way east and again in Sept. on our way back from the east coast only for the night. Check in was easy and quick. The room was very comfortable. We did not take advantage of the pool or gym as we were extremely tired from our 10 hr. Drive. But they both looked great. There is a great family restaurant near the Hotel called "Randy's" great family restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.

« Nice rooms, nice staff, but one big disappointment »

We rode a couple hundred miles on motorcycles the day we stayed here and it wasn't very warm out. The 2 couples on the trip had reserved jacuzzi rooms to warm up in and the other guys with us were really looking forward to the hot tub. When we got there the pool and hot tub area were closed for reno. All they had to offer us was that they had arranged to use another pool at another hotel, but didn't offer a shuttle to it or anything. I felt like that info should have been disclosed to us when they knew it was going to be that way. I felt bad because I was the one of the group that picked the room. Everything else was fine..beds were good, rooms were spacious, and the staff was polite and friendly,

« Great place to stay! »

We came here because they were pet friendly. Out dog was very happy. This hotel is very clean, modern, and the beds were very comfortable. We got a suite, so there was plenty of room. Also, we loved the shower! Conveniently located. I'm sure we will be be back when we return to the area.

« A great stay while in Eau Claire »

I stayed at this property for two nights while in the area on business and I was blown away with how great it was. The room had been renovated and it was very well decorated. I look for two things when I stay in a hotel...a comfortable bed and a great shower. This property didn't disappoint. The hotel also offers breakfast, but I didn't get the chance to try it.

    « Badly needs remodeling »

The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. However, the carpet was loose and needed replacing. The bathroom tub needs updating, as the caulking was turning brown. The breakfast offered fruit and healthy alternatives, and I really appreciated this. The bed was very uncomfortable, and needs replacing. I was hard and bouncy.

    « Nice, Clean, quiet »

Yes, there is construction going on, but I did not experience it to be distracting or loud. The lobby and rooms are nicely decorated. The night I stayed, there were a bunch of families in the lobby, but once I was in my room, it was very quiet and relaxing.

    « Under Construction »

Lots of construction noise right outside our window early in the morning; We should have gotten a discount for being right next to that. Bar area was very small and the hotel does not have a restaurant.

    « Hotel Comfy »

Great location with very comfortable, accommodating rooms. Close to lots of things to see, restaurants within walking distance and things to do. Friendly staff at check in as well as suggestions of local fare. We'll definitely add this to our 'go back to' list.

    « I love this hotel. »

I've stayed here twice, and both time were great. The people who work here are so nice. Both times we've had a whirlpool room, and love it. We bring the bikes, and this hotel is in a perfect location for a bike trip, whether you want to ride for a long distance, or just bum around town. One direction takes you to the Chippewa State Trail. The other direction takes you downtown Eau Claire. The downtown trails are really nice. There are some stay along the river and there are multiple bridges that go back and forth across the river.
