    « Terrible »

    Service was unbearably horrendous. Communication on bill payment were never the same from person to person causing undue aggravation. Found a cockroach in the pool area in which the employee was absolutely no help and didn't care. The next day there was a pigeon in the pool area to which the same employee said, "yes this happens a lot. it will eventually leave" To which I had to get the bird out myself just so my son could swim. Even after all of the aggravation, at no time did anyone apologize or even offer any solutions, credit, or sympathy. This is totally unacceptable practice in customer service industry.

    Hotel refused to accommodate breakfast time as little as 5 minutes when the breakfast was available. There was no guest access to the lobby and guests had to wait outside until exactly 5:30. The guest only access door was also locked until exactly 5:30 and when the manager was asked to accommodate the guests they just stated it was their policy with no further explanation.

    Best Western Hotels have made a great comeback over the past 10 years. The hotel staff was very hospitable and made our stay so pleasant...kudos to them! The hotel was very clean and well kept and, yes, the beds were terrific! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you Best Western.

    Best Western in Columbus, Mississippi has proven to have quality service. Not only does the structure and context of the hotel help to facilitate the whole process for visitors, but the personnel is professional, friendly and a pleasure to be around. Moreover, I have found the Hotel to be consistently organized and clean during each stay!

    This was my third stay the this hotel. Since my last stay in February they have updated the rooms. I was completely happy with this hotel. Staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. If your in Columbus don't hesitate to stay here, you won't be disappointed. Great HDTV and internet speeds. Couches and desks. You can't go wrong!

    I have traveled for business and pleasure during the course of my 70 years and was socked by the attitude of the hotel employee in talking to my traveling friend while obtaining a room. If it had not been so late I would have gone on down the road. My teenage grandson asked to use the restroom during this time but was told he could not unless he was a registered guest. What kind of hospitality is this! I had to pay $10.00 extra for breakfast because of there was three of us sharing the room. Before leaving in the morning I got a coffee and a little to eat but was first asked my room number and the name of my spouse. Maybe they thought I was a bum looking for a free meal. Really unbelievable. This franchise needs some training in people skills. The hotel only had a few guest form observing the number of cars present. Gee there maybe a good reason for that.

    In all my years of staying at different hotels, I have never had a check-in experience as bad as this one, and pray that I never will again. After having an extremely stressful day, and being involved in an accident on the highway, me and my family were more than ready to get some much needed rest. Upon walking into the hotel, we were greeted by a gentleman front desk clerk who was incredibly nasty towards me and my family. I figured that this situation could be remedied by speaking to a manager, but to my dismay, even the manager was extremely rude towards me. The only thing that could possibly be the saving grace for this hotel, is the quality of their rooms and breakfast.

    « BAD SERVICE! »

    Poor inadaquate service. Contacted manager and she was rude and argumentative. Key cards did not work on two different occasions, room service terrible and breakfast service had milk in a glass container that was refilled without being washed out. You would ask, "How do I know?" When you leave door open as you refill bar this is what you see. No apology, and nothing was resolved at that moment. Took several calls to customer service to clear this matter.

    My family and I were in town for a couple of nights and needed a reasonably priced hotel to crash. To our surprise this place was definitely a diamond in the rough. We had 3 rooms and all of them were HUGEMONGOUS!!! Honestly, if we'd known they were so big we would've only gotten two. LOL!! Needless to say our stay was great. Wi-fi took some time to work, the breakfast was good, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We had a nice time and I'd choose Best Western again any day.

    Absolutely wonderful, accommodating, friendliest staff. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable! I stayed at this hotel for 11 days. My room was always cleaned and my requests attended to promptly. The area has many restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

    « AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!!!!!!! »

    Rude reservation staff, cancelled my reservation 72 hours before my arrival, because that is when they run you debit or credit card, yes, 72 HOURS BEFORE you arrive. My debit card had been breached earlier in the week so it was declined. No call even though they say they did, and certainly no voice mail. Room smelled of urine, GROSS! I had to be the maintenance man and fix the toilet. Management said it would be 8am before someone would be in to fix it. Were we supposed to just keep using it and wait??? Not nearly enough towels available for swimming guests. you see plenty locked in a room but the night clerk could not access them. were told we had to leave the lobby at 10 because she had to lock up. My advise is never ever book here. stay in the next available town if no other rooms are available.

    Our soccer team booked this hotel well in advance and it was still unable to meet our needs. We booked the two queen suite to accommodate three adults and a child and were told they were out of linens for the sofa bed. They were also unable to provide more than three towels for the four of us. The breakfast buffet was awful and poor stocked and maintained. Only one of our keys worked. The wifi was so slow we just didn't use it. The location was good and walking distance to restaurants. But we will look for other accommodations in the future.

    Room was very clean, not a noisy location. Bed was comfy, a little on the soft side. Didn't make it down for breakfast in the morning. Walked next door to a Buffalo Wild Wings for late dinner. Next morning continued on our trip to Destin, FL down Hwy 45. Didn't make it down for breakfast in the morning.

    Room was about what I expect for the price. Beds were very comfortable. TV had plenty of channels and worked fine. We also had comfortable seating area in room. I did not use the indoor pool, but went to look at it. It looked very nice. Pool room was warm, so I'm guessing the water was heated. Breakfast was good and lady in charge of breakfast was friendly. All staff we encountered were smiling and spoke to us. Cons: Young lady on staff during check-in was new and did not know how to handle a reservation paid with points and also had a hard time getting printer to work. She had to call someone to help her over the phone. Someone should have been with her to help handle her and my frustration. I don't blame her; I blame the manager. On another subject, walls were extremely thin and we could hear the people in the next room very clearly. Also, bathroom was TINY. Door barely missed hitting the toilet when opened. Sink and vanity were outside bathroom.

    Clean and well-maintained lodging. The staff was very professional and friendly. They responded to our personal room preferences with outstanding courtesy. The breakfast was excellent. Without a question, one of our best accommodation experiences.

    This is a older hotel but it is well maintained and managed. Everything works in the rooms. Rooms are clean, plenty of towels and supplies. Beds are pretty comfortable too. This is my go to hotel in Columbus.

    The friendly staff made this hotel a good choice! Very friendly! The rooms were big. I could hear the people in the next room, and the room and pool could use a little maintenance, but I would stay here again.

    « Bad Night »

    Requested a Non-Smoking, was put in a smoking room with no other available. Floors were sticky, towels were dirty, pull out was broken, ash trays in the room, and it smelled bad. The breakfast bar was overwhelmed by people and no seating.

    Stayed here for 2 months while I was working in Columbus, and looking for an apartment. The hotel staff was friendly every single time that I went to the front desk. The maid staff was very friendly when I seen them. They did a great job cleaning my room every day. The rooms are newly renovated so they have a modern look to them. It's the nicest Outdoor Best western that you will stay in. Highly recommend it.

    « Not my favorite experience as of late... »

    On a cool, rainy evening in February the last thing I was anticipating having to do was to walk from my parked car to the lobby with my bags only to find out that I was booked into a room in the satellite building. This meant hauling my bags back to the car after check in and then out again and up to my room. It'd also help of the 2nd floor numbers were larger or llluminated to see from the ground in the dark. All that aside, the suite room was updated, spacious, fairly clean and comfortable although the pillows and towels both left something to be desired. A few other noticeable negatives was the unfriendly appearance of the bath fan, some orange-ish colored mildew in the shower, the shower head spraying water out the back of it and the lack of regular coffee with technology in room coffeemaker. On the positive side the service and expansive breakfast were both quite good. Overall my experience was okay and it certainly was nice the the Buffalo Wild Wings was right next door. I think I'd stay again but would prefer a room in the main building with a little bit more attention to tell details in the room. A good value in the hotel market in this day and age, decent with a little room for improvement. I'd consider staying again.

    I stayed here for two nights for a mini vacation. The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was great, pool was clean and everyone was so nice. The manager name is Sharon. She made sure we were comfortable and that everything was alright during our stay. I will be staying here again. Great hotel to choose.

    I travel constantly and this was the nicest Best Western that I have stayed at in Mississippi. Everything was clean, the staff was wonderful and friendly, the breakfast was great and the grounds were clean and I felt safe in this area.

    I stay at this hotel only. I have tried most of the rest and i find this one the best for me for the money. Great staff and management. The breakfast is good but the buffet is hard to access some items in the back pans. Hint hint.

    We were looking for a hotel in Columbus that had an indoor pool for our 4 kids to swim in while we stayed the night. This was the only hotel we could find that did. I was a bit skeptical because of the exterior corridors. (Not a big fan for safety reasons) But we booked it anyway and were very pleased. You can tell this hotel was recently updated and they did a great job with the renovations! We stayed in a double queen suit and couldn't believe the size of the room!!! It was huge!!! It even had an "L" shaped sectional couch that pulled out into a bed. The room was spotless and the linens smelled fresh! The room had everything you needed and the TV had 100's of channels, including all the HBO channels! My family of 6 and I travel a lot and this was the most comfortable room we have ever stayed in. The room was so big the kids even played "tag" before bed. The indoor pool was a perfect size and temp for the kids to play and swim in! On top of all the other positives this hotel offers, the staff was extremely nice and helpful! Everyone we spoke to wore a smile and had the eagerness to help! Their hot breakfast was good too! They have everything to start your day off great! My only complaint is that we stayed in, what I'm assuming is an addition to the hotel. It was across the parking lot from the main building. Not really a big deal, except for the fact it was raining during our stay. So unless we wanted to pile everyone in the car to get from the main building to ours, we had to walk across the parking lot in the rain. Not really a big deal, because the other positives outweighed that one negative! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return the next time we visit Columbus!

    Stayed in an Executive Suite, pleased with room updates and size of room. I would recommend this hotel for someone needing to stay in the area. This hotel met my expectations despite the no immediate water in fitness room.

    « Discourteous hotel staff! »

    I made a reservation at the end of July for Oct. 24. I reserved a room online using my credit card. Three days before my arrival, I was called by the hotel manager and told that the credit card I used to reserve the room was invalid. When I offered to give her a different credit card number, she told me the reservation had been cancelled and there were no rooms available. I was not even given the opportunity to use a different credit card to hold my reservation. I have never stayed at this property before, and because of this experience, I will never stay here in the future! I know for certain that other hotel chains will courteously allow you to change your credit card information if there is a problem so that you will not be inconvenienced with having to find another hotel at the last minute!

    Clean rooms and solid service. Originally wanted to stay right off Hwy. 82 in newer hotels, but they were booked. Happen to find this Best Western just 2-3 minutes away and because of the location and it's being right next to restaurants and shopping, we just walked and never had to get back in the car to find something.

    This is the second time my wife and I have stayed in this motel and we most likely will stay again if we are in the area. The staff is second to none, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is very good. Sharon, the Manager, is absolutely terrific!! We certainly would recommend this motel.

    When staying in a small town hotel my expectations are usually low, but this hotel could compete in larger cities. The rooms have recently been renovated and have all the amenities of higher end hotels. If you need to stay in Columbus this is a great place to stay.

    The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, everything works as it should. You are always treated with kindness. The breakfast is pretty good too. This trip i was the first one to use a band new air conditioner. Man let me tell it worked great.

    This hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and plenty of room the relax, the staff is very friendly, Michelle Harris, the front desk clerk is great, she's friendly, helpful and she has an awesome personality. The free breakfast was good and hot. I will stay there again the next time I'm in that area.
