"Daughter's wedding celebrations"
Polly I, 10 Avril 2024

Fantastic venue for my daughter's wedding. Accommodation and food was excellent and they fully catered for our family who had allergies. Both food during day and evening was excellent with everything labelled. Highly recommend as staff and facilities were excellent

"Wedding Vibes!"
Andre F, 02 Avril 2024

Had a great stay for a family wedding! All staff members were welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a good one. Rooms were great, food was great. Just an all round nice, chilled and relaxing place to stay. Thank you very much. Great location for a wedding.

"I'll be back!"
Keilah C, 02 Avril 2024

The whole building was homely, comfortable and clean. Was really unexpected. Bathroom was beautiful. Rooms were spacious, clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely. I would drive all that way just to stay again. Me and the family were happy. Thanku

"Very welcoming staff, lovely food, lovely setting."
Jeffrey F, 02 Avril 2024

We attended a wedding and reception and I must say the staff were well organised and pleasant being attentive to the needs of the wedding party. We were well received upon our arrival, staff very polite and helpful clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Family Wedding"
Simone C, 02 Avril 2024

I Attended a family wedding here over the bank holiday and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so friendly and attentive nothing was too much for them. The wedding service, decorations & food were all stunning. Such a lovely location 10/10 Couldn't recommend the venue more!!!

"A lovely wedding experience"
Pat M, 01 Avril 2024

I recently visited the hotel for a close friends wedding. The drive upto the hotel shows a wonderful quintessential English country Manor House. The car park was large with easy parking. The reception staff were polite and helpful in guiding my wife and I to my friends wedding reception. The hotel was beautifully set out for my friends wedding and was clean and warm. All the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Toilets were clean and very tidy, and the prices at the bar were very reasonable. All in all an inviting experience for the wife and I, and definitely some where we would stay.

"Worst hotel I've ever stopped in"
Lucy L, 03 Mars 2024

Absolutely disgusting hotel full of mold, damp ,holes in the wall ,bathroom door hanging of wardrobe door don't shut properly can't move TV on wall bracket as it's broken wallpaper coming of walls wouldn't stop here again if someone paid me and the staff are rude constantly staring at you whilst eating/drinking made me and my son feel very uncomfortable it's like if your face doesn't fit you are made to feel like you ain't good enough let alone being woken up by dozens of police officers and cid going to a room in the morning down the corridor from my own and ambulances with a car outside all smashed up I have stopped in hotels with less stars than this and have been 100 time better save your money and go elsewhere

"Great memories of mom's 80th Birthday"
Julie B, 24 Février 2024

Lovely characterful hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Lily in the restaurant worked her socks off and was pleasant throughout our two hours in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Bar staff and reception staff very pleasant and accommodating.

"Good value for money"

"Punching above its weight"
vanessamN8167HT, 04 Février 2024

I've stayed in 4 star hotels with fewer amenities and poorer environments than this one. Definitely more than a 3 star experience. Lovely grounds, dog friendly, spotless rooms, comfy bed, fluffy towels, nice little personal touches in the room, a good breakfast, conveniently situated and accessible by public transport. This would be a lovely venue for a wedding. Wi-Fi was a little slow, but that wasn't really a problem for me. The only issue was dinner on the evening of arrival x the beer battered cod was disappointing. Everything else was perfect and I would definitely stay again.

"Lovely and clean"
Ann B, 29 Janvier 2024

I came here for a canine event. An attractive hotel, very easy to find. Everything was clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. I had a wonderful room with a four poster bed. Highly recommended.

"Weston Hall Hotel - Pet Dogs Welcome and Gluten-free catered for."
BeetleBrow, 27 Janvier 2024

Beautiful, comfortable, historic hotel in a lovely quiet country setting. For dog owners whose dog has to come too, it can be quite a chore finding the perfect accommodation that also welcomes your pet. It was a relief to find this lovely hotel for a one night stay when visiting family in nearby Coventry. We needed a bed for the night on 20 January on what turned out to be one of the main 'Burn's Celebration' nights. When booking, a couple of days before, the receptionist did warn us that there may be some noise. The Hotel was very lively with 'Burn's' guests when we arrived but, other than the initial bagpipe welcome, we didn't hear any further noise in our ground floor bedroom. We booked a 'standard' bedroom which I can't imagine was very much bigger than a 'small double', but this may only be because it was on the ground floor in the more modern annexe. The ground floor was suggested by the Receptionist as being more convenient because we had our dog with us, which it was, and the room was more than adequate for our needs. It was warm, clean & comfortable and nicely appointed, as was the bathroom. Guests with dogs were required to take all meals in the Hotel bar, which is a beautiful 16th Century room with stunning wood features. Our evening meal of pork belly was cooked to perfection and very filling. The morning breakfast buffet included cereals, breakfast pastries, fruit salad, full English breakfast including black pudding, hash browns, toast & conserves, tea and coffee. My husband checked the gluten-free options, arranged for gluten-free toast, and only avoided the black pudding as a precaution although he had been informed it was gluten-free. We had to visit back and forth from the restaurant, through the Reception Hall, to the Bar Room (a very small distance) with our various plates, and had to use separate tables as the bar tables were too small to hold both of our different plates (not a problem as the Bar Room is quite large and we had it all to ourselves). The Front of House staff had kindly made sure that we had breakfast condiments available on our bar table. On opening our bedroom curtains in the morning, we found that the window faced out to a narrow alley and another one-storey building. This was not a problem for us on our one night stay, but would be worth checking if you are staying longer and would prefer a room with a view. All in all, this Hotel provided us with very good accommodation and hospitality.

"Quiet morning coffee - perfect!"
Mobile12657824028, 24 Janvier 2024

Visited Weston Hall this morning with my mum and newborn baby - wanted a coffee and light breakfast, shout out to Tom who was very accommodating and helpful! Had a delicious coffee and crossaint - we will be back soon as it's on our doorstep and very chilled! Toms customer service is amazing, makes a change to be served by someone who isn't trying to rush away and actually makes you feel welcome, definitely recommend for a quiet morning coffee with great service.

"What a gem!"
Sue O, 25 Septembre 2023

A lovely welcome was just the start. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. I opted for Dinner, B&B and was pleasantly surprised to find that I could choose from the menus for the Restaurant or the Bar. It is was all delicious, perfectly cooked and presented. The Weston Hall ticks all the boxes for me!

"Lovely place to stop "
k381ss, 14 Septembre 2023

We had a lovely stay in this hotel for out 10 year wedding anniversary. Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, the place is quite big so you may get a bit lost but that's all part of the experience. Our room was nice but a bit dated, new lick of paint to freshen it up, we overlooked a tree so the room got a bit dark, lovely shower to relax in and a nice bed, the pillows however weren't very nice at all very lumpy and not comfortable. Outside was a nice setting lots of grounds to walk, seating also for those nice summer days. There was a marquee all set up for weddings/ functions. There's a bar area and restaurant for food and a lovely lounge to sit in with a beautiful chandelier. Breakfast was lovely, not too much to choose from but that is fine there were juices available with yoghurts and croissants too. Would definitely go back, an all round lovely stay.

"September Wedding at Western Hall"
Laura S, 10 Septembre 2023

A beautiful wedding on the 9th September at Western hall. The food was phenomenal and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The rooms where very warm but absolutely spotless, time and care had been taken over those rooms. It was a very special day and amazing time had by everyone. Thanks so much to all the staff at Western hall.

"Outstanding"
nicoleS1608EU, 01 Septembre 2023

I have stayed at Western Hall, Bulkington, for work over the last 9 months, As a women traveling alone, staying somewhere that I feel safe is the most important thing for me. I often check in late due to the distance I travel. I always feel safe, the staff are excellent, and are always happy to help, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are always clean and tidy, I usually get bed and breakfast. the food is of excellent quality with lots of choice. They offer take away coffee or tea and bacon sandwich, if you need this. It really is excellent value.

"Superb 2 night break, beautiful character building with respect mix of period features and modern luxuries. "
SusanBB3370NM, 17 Août 2023

Booked for our silver wedding anniversary as we'd had our reception at the hotel. Beautiful character property and also manages to provide modern facilities. We enjoyed every moment. The staff were super helpful, especially Sophie on reception. We booked the exec suite and it was fabulous. Fantastic modern bathroom, huge roll top bath, twin sinks and large separate shower. Spotlessly clean all over. Beautiful traditional furniture in bedroom area, very comfy bed. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. We didn't dine in restaurant as we'd made other arrangements but it looked lovely. Great Wi Fi coverage across the hotel. Overall a totally relaxing break with a luxurious feel.

"Amazing hotel with exceptional service and food"
lizR3896QY, 06 Août 2023

Fantastic staff, food and wedding service Extremely helpful Great venue for a wedding Nice room although bed was a tad small for double Excellent breakfast Bar great and loads of room to chill and relax

"Excellent service"
beechdawn, 19 Juillet 2023

We have just returned from a lovely overnight stay at this charming hotel. We were greeted by a welcoming receptionist, and were allowed to book straight in. The bar man Tom was a absolute star, he didn't stop all night, if he was serving drinks, taking food orders and bringing out orders he was helping other staff with moving tables amongst other things. What a asset to your business. He was super cheerful, and looked happy to be there, as did all the staff we met. We had a bar meal which was fab are served quickly even though lots seemed to be eating in the bar area. Excellent stay, room was great, and we had our breakfast brought to our room exactly what we had ordered and too the minute. What fantastic service.

"Great stop over and breakfast."
NeilM314, 15 Juillet 2023

We stayed as a stop over on route back from France so arrived late, but staff welcomed us, also had replied to my email that we would not arrive till 10pm. Good nights sleep and great breakfast in the morning. Staff all great and rooms very clean with great shower.

"Hotel stay"
Mitch m, 13 Juillet 2023

We stayed at the hotel as it was the location of our nieces wedding. The room was large and the bed was really comfortable. The staff on the Friday were really helpful and pleasant and the whole experience was great. The following morning the breakfast was superb and was a completely enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend the hotel

"Truly amazing staff"
cobwebswinslow, 28 Juin 2023

I wouldn't normally write reviews but I felt that I must. I attended a family wedding Saturday and how wonderful it was, the staff could not do enough they were truly amazing. All the food and drinks I was given was brilliant. Well done Weston Hall 10/10

"Great dog friendly hotel"
X1767QVlisas, 31 Mai 2023

Only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again. Lovely venue and grounds, staff were lovely and very accommodating, as we had our dog staying too. Food was very nice, we had the afternoon tea. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with a delicious breakfast in the morning.

"Lovely friendly hotel"
S3130JDinfo, 04 Février 2023

I've stayed here several times over the past two years and always find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Clean and cosy rooms and the food in both the bar and restaurant are really good. It's nice to see the same staff each time I return.

"Lovely hotel"
LHaggithOBE, 13 Janvier 2023

Always enjoy staying at Weston hall which is not only full of character, good value, staff very welcoming and amazing food. I have no hesitation in recommending as I regularly stay there when I am in the area.

"Very rude receptionist"
514jaimiet, 12 Janvier 2023

Breaks our heart to leave this review. We have been coming to this hotel for 9 years about 3 times a year. We have just returned and never have we been made to feel a burden like this time. Bar/restaurant staff absolutely brilliant as always. My god the receptionist rude absolutely no enthusiasm Us even asking for a drink from the bar was putting her out. We left something in our room rang when we arrived home to ask if someone could check with house keeping No got nothing been handed in bearing in mind it was only 11:45 am. Someone else is now in the room nothing we can do. Erm excuse me what happened to can I take your number and I will pop along and check with house keeping. Rang back teatime some to a different receptionist who was helpful and lovely. Come on Weston hall this is not your standards. This visit has been such a shame because of 1 person.

"Staff fantastic. Hotel room terrible"
Voyage788577, 02 Janvier 2023

Beautiful building. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Booked a standard double room. Was tiny. Very outdated. Terrible furnishings. Bathroom was very dirty. Ring around Bath. Filthy shower screen previous occupants medication on floor which was very dirty Hotel radiators all on full blast making it unbearably hot. Needs refurbishment and standard of housekeeping unacceptable. Such a shame as could be lovely and staff couldn't have been nicer

"Christmas Party/meal event"
beechdawn, 04 Décembre 2022

Well where do I start! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile. Our rooms were excellent, spotless and exactly what were shown on pictures. The event itself was organised to a really high standard, meet and greet on main entrance and into room. Food was lovely, our table were empty plates all round and there were 15 of us! Waiting staff were on the ball nothing was too much trouble. The D.J was great. Those of us that stayed had one of the nicest breakfasts we have experienced in a hotel. I never saw one member of staff not smile and we saw alot. Well staffed and staffed well. Special mention too the bar man Sam who seemed to be everywhere, and definitely a asset to your team. An amazing evening and stay. Thank you Weston Hall for making our family Christmas meal one to remember. We will be back if you will have us.

"Christmas Fayre it wasn't. "
skybluedi, 02 Décembre 2022

We went to Weston Hall for our Christmas Nightout and it was such a let down went feeling Christmassy left feeling we had been turned over. The room was lovely and festive but the food was abysmal, soup was cold, the main course of turkey was like something we've never tasted before, we had I carrot 1 Parsnip, 4 beans I roast potato a pigs in blanket, dessert was supposed to be Orange and chocolate mousse in a brandy snap shell it was like eating sludge. Sorry we won't be going again and it was a very disappointing evening. One light of the night was the waiting on staff who were excellent polite and friendly. Disappointed.

"One night stay"
Hotterpus, 22 Novembre 2022

Stayed in room 1 , there was constant banging from the corridor door and not sure if there was a concealed waste pipe as you could hear running water whenever anyone used the toilet or had a shower. The hotel and room were both very clean and tidy , the staff were excellent ,friendly and professional , food and drinks were both good value and the food was well cooked and nicely presented. Overall I would stay again but try and get a different room.

"Worst stay I've had at a Best Western"
pomBR, 06 Novembre 2022

The room we were given (room 8) was not accurately reflected in pictures on the Best Western website. It was dingy with broken/dated features in the bathroom and the radiator did not work properly. The bathroom in particular was terrible as it likely hadn't been updated in 20+ years, the handle on the shower water control was broken, and the fan would start buzzing intolerably loud after it was on for more than a couple minutes. The cheap sliding bathroom door had a gap in it that allowed for no privacy when using the toilet. When we returned late one night, we came back to a freezing room as the radiator wasn't working. We told the front desk and the lady said “leave me to it,” which we took as someone will come fix it. After 20 minutes, went back to the front desk and she said it wouldn't be fixed until the next morning. It was freezing cold. The radiator never worked properly while we were there. It's sad that the stay was so awful as my husband grew up just down the road from Weston Hall and always admired the place. We will never stay here again.

"WESTON HALL BULKINGTON"
whitetony5, 24 Octobre 2022

Fantastic staff in every department. Food... Everything we ordered was the best we have had at any BW and always served hot... The bar prices were VERY reasonable. Would we stay again..? Without hesitation.

"Good hotel stay"
prandall732, 19 Octobre 2022

Positives about our stay were the stay were polite and efficient, we had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant with good service and the breakfast was good. The negative is the noise and mess from other residents until 4.30am who had been attending wedding/engagement parties at the hotel. My suggestion is to put them all in rooms sited on the same floor so that they can be annoying to friends and family!!! But I will not leave a poor review for the hotel as it's not their fault that unfortunately they have to put up with other selfish residents!!

"Unable to provide room I paid for....."
Disappointed_Bus_Man, 14 Octobre 2022

I booked and paid in advance for exec room. When I arrived I was told the room had been given to someone else, even though I booked and paid before them on the Best Western web site. Was given the smallest double room in the loft space but no refund given by the hotel. Said I had to contact Best Western directly.

"Lovely, friendly hotel with good quality breakfast."
margrs01, 27 Septembre 2022

Stayed here for a family celebration, we had 5 rooms and all were adequate for one night. No issues at all. The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was great quality and super fresh and hot. There isn't a lift in the hotel so if you have a mobility problem worth requesting a ground floor room.

"Major Improvements Needed"
LeeStrong-1, 24 Septembre 2022

There are many things wrong here that require attention. From the outside the hotel is pleasant, with a beautiful exterior and gardens. The staff for the most part are friendly and polite. First impressions of the room is that it's dated, there are clear signs of damp in the bathroom despite there being ventilation installed. The issues; Upon arrival the room was freezing, the window was left wide open. Room key card never works first time, takes 3/4 goes to get into the room. Despite leaving "Do not disturb", the room was entered and cleaned. Of course as I was in a rush many of my belongings were left scattered around the room, and were moved around as a result. Nothing was stolen. Breakfast was served raw, returned twice, returned raw twice. In this case raw sausages, raw pork can pose a SERIOUS health hazard and clearly there is a lack of experience/education within the kitchen. Room service doesn't answer the phone. Not worth the money.

"2 Night stay"
Steveand Lyn C, 20 Septembre 2022

45th Wedding Anniversary, bathroom heater didn't work and leaked when manually turned. Blind fixing broken and room very shabby. Decor paint chips on side tables. Overall not the best, but all staff were polite and customer facing.

"Major improvements needed."
Excursion53345953279, 18 Septembre 2022

We stayed here for two nights for a family wedding. I'll start with the good: The exterior of the hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. Hotel staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Onto the bad: The room we stayed in was very tired, grubby and dated. Holes in the wall, scuffs and dirty marks on the wallpaper. A cracked window. I've included photos. And there was a half drunk bottle of water in there from the last guest which just shows a lack of attention when cleaning. The worst thing about this stay was the breakfast experience. We had breakfast included in our £95 room rate, but had we paid the princely sum of £12.50 each for a cooked breakfast, I would be fuming. Day one: bacon so hard it was inedible, fried egg so overcooked the yolk was solid, black pudding cold and raw, mushrooms visibly wrinkled as they'd been sat under heat lamps for so long. I sent the food back and the waitress was apologetic but didnt seem surprised so I would guess they get a lot of complaints. I saw two other tables send their bacon back. Day two: sausages raw in the middle. This affected two other tables including my sister, the bride. It's a mid-tier hotel so I'm not expecting perfection but undercooking meat can make people sick! The chef should have been embarrassed to send that food out.

"Weston hall hotel bulkinton"
T2063HFadamh, 12 Septembre 2022

Very welcoming and friendly especially the night porter ian very friendly and welcoming and cares for his costumers and always ready for a chat to make sure your stay is as good as possible. Couldn't do enough to make me welcome

"#Adoptadog stay"
64gillp, 06 Septembre 2022

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and are tended for which is evident. The room was roomy, comfortable, had everything that is needed, generous size bathroom with a great shower either rain / standard. Food is delicious and a wide variety of bar menu. As we had our dog with us we were unable to eat in the restaurant (understandable) but we were offered the menu to eat in the bar if we wanted to. There is a lovely lounge area with very comfortable sofas where we had numerous coffees & teas while relaxing. If we were ever to visit the area again this would definitely be our number one hotel to stay.

"Not great"
648rituh, 30 Août 2022

The hotel room was extremely damp which aggravated asthma symptoms. The rooms need updating and there was mould in the bathrooms. The communal areas and outdoors is lovely but unfortunately the stay was not good

"Very disappointed!"
465vivienneh, 31 Juillet 2022

We chose to stay here as we were attending the commonwealth games at the Coventry Arena and thought it would be a good base The rooms were absolutely awful, dated, grubby, mould, ceiling hanging down. We spoke to Graham the manager and showed him the room, he appeared shocked!!! How could he be? It's his hotel....he couldn't move us as hotel full, however, I think all rooms are of a similar standard. Couldn't wait to leave so had a quick breakfast. The staff were just miserable, no chat or even a smile The lady on reception was lovely and did seem concerned and made notes and refunded our drinks tab from the bar It's such a shame that no investment is being made in this hotel as it's a beautiful building.

"Very Impressed"
adrian c, 31 Juillet 2022

We attended a family wedding this weekend and I must say I was very impressed. The grounds and the venue was very well set out. The food was great and the Bar staff were excellent. The weather made a big difference, the ceremony was outside.

"DISAPPOINTING"
Julie K, 30 Juillet 2022

Stayed one night ,hotel and grounds look gorgeous,we stayed in room 10 on the ground floor ,room was small dark and to be honest very grubby ,stained carpet and mould around the window frame ,bathroom had sliding door and sadly that was in need of a good make over ,bed was pushed against the wall so no room really to move at all ,bed was ok bedding clean ,i believe the room is a small double it would be better classed as a single very disappointing stay in a room that looks like time forgot.

"Excellent birthday break"
Elaine D, 28 Juillet 2022

We stayed for the night of my husband's birthday. We stayed in the bedroom in the photographs with the huge and very comfortable, red sofa. The bed was also very comfortable. We had dinner there and were extremely impressed by the standard of the food. Breakfast, which is included, was also delicious. The staff were very helpful. I must particularly thank Michelle who served us breakfast. She could not have been more hospitable. Thank you.

"One night stay"
lauraxx578, 21 Juillet 2022

Hotel is beautiful on the outside. That's the only plus of the stay. Inside is dated. Room and window both very tiny with very little light. Black mould on sky light disgusting. Shower only could be set at a boiling temperature. Room hot and cramped with pillows smelling of damp.

"Third time here"
DevonKitty, 04 Juillet 2022

This is a convenient stopover on our way to visit relatives. It's a very welcoming and comfortable place. We were thoughtfully given a ground floor room as we had a dog with us and the room was clean and well maintained. We had tea in the grounds straight away, which are beautiful and then dinner in the bar. The food was good this time. Chicken Caesar Salad was right for a hot summer evening. We had poached eggs for breakfast cooked to order. The staff are great and very accommodating. It's a bit of a home from home.

"Needs updating"
mauriceheady, 04 Juillet 2022

Very uncomfortable bed must be as old as the building pillows just as bad as well.bathroom mould around the bath/shower taps in bathroom basin to far back so it's hard to wash your hands .No water supplied first night but second day we only got 1 bottle of sparkling water and they only give 1 packet of biscuits each day (2 in each packet)

"Historic hotel on a countryside surrounding."
neeelix, 01 Juillet 2022

A charming 15th century hotel, comprising of 8 rooms, bags of character - narrow hallways, splendid fireplaces and oak beams aplenty. Sitting on the side of a hill close to Stafford overlooking the peaceful Staffordshire countryside. The room was spacious with all the usual additions - tv, kettle, teas and coffees. A tidy bathroom too with a small variety of complimentary lotions. The ‘Cellar' bar and restaurant at the ground level is cosy and welcoming. (We didn't eat there as the nearby town has extensive choice). Breakfast included was a continental selection and in the bright side conservatory. Excellent on-site parking. It would be 5/5 but for some obvious and very visible cleaning oversights in our room - both bedside tables had coffee stains and lampshades with a thick coating of dust and hair, a broken lightbulb as well, plus flaky paint radiator, dirty bin and filthy showerhead in the bathroom let the overall presentation down. Housekeeping duly notified with a reply of ‘if you want' when i told them i had some issues. Not quite the reply i would have wanted. Reception also notified. Sort these minor but obvious details and this could be 5/5.

"Room service met with laughter"
Catherine2395, 01 Juillet 2022

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, on the last night we had decided to order dinner to the room because there was a wedding going on downstairs and we did not want to get in the way of the wedding guests. We called up before to ask if we could and if they would be willing to bring menus to the room which we were told that would be fine and we're told the kitchen open times. At the time we were told we called down and ordered the food. After a while we had a knock at the door which was a lot of knocks quickly, when we had ordered before they would knock twice and call room service which was not done this time so we were confused and worried as we could also hear laughing outside the door. My partner opened the door to see who it was and saw 3 staff members standing there laughing carrying 2 trays of food. I was sat on the bed at this point and said out loud “there's an awful lot of laughing going on out there” to which they went a bit quiet. They passed the trays to my partner and then asked him to sign the receipt and left. I asked my partner as I didn't know who was laughing who it was and he said that it was the staff 2 girls and a guy he also said they could not even look him in the eye. After that I felt very self conscious as if I had done something wrong to be laughed at by 3 strangers in a hotel. I got very upset that night and could not get comfortable or even sleep cos it was on my mind the whole night. The next morning we checked out not even going down for breakfast which was pre payed for due to feeling uncomfortable cos of the night before. At the reception when we checked out there was a girl behind the desk, during check out she could not meet mine or my partners eye which I didn't know why at the time till I told my partner in the car and he explained it's probably cos she was one of the girls at the door the night before. This is my experience of the best Weston, Weston hall hotel. I was not impressed at all.

"Beautiful room and building but sadly Bad service"

disabled parking but there is not any way someone who is disabled to easily get to most of the rooms as there is no lift and the hand railings on the stairs are rickety. all of this would of been fine if the service didn't ruin my stay. me and my partner ordered room service to the room so we could stay out of the way of the wedding party's downstairs. when the room service arrived there was a rapid knock on the door clearly showing urgency and no declaration of room service like before when drinks alone were ordered. instead 3 people stood there with the 2 trays laughing at us who had ordered food to our rooms which if I'm not mistaken was allowed considering they brought it up and had no issue when we asked earlier in the night for a menu and what time the kitchen opened and when ordering over the phone. the behaviour of the 3 staff members was appealing and completely ruined my stay, so much that we have decided this hotel will not be the one we will be using when we wed like was originally planned.

"Beautiful Building"
Jaxx5775, 27 Juin 2022

A very lovely location. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful. The menu from the pub could have had better options for those who are vegetarian or had gluten intolerance. The food was decent enough. I ordered the chicken burger which was described on the menu as chargrilled but what came was a chicken breast fillet that was barely browned and I worried if the chicken was cooked but it wasn't pink inside and so I ate it. It was tasty enough but not as described. The breakfast from the hotel was much better. Better vegetarian options and plentiful and tasty. On the whole an enjoyable stay.

"Fawlty towers !"
ther487, 26 Juin 2022

This should have it's own TV channel. The room I stayed had black mould in the bathroom, even though it had a "clean" the "cleaner" didn't bother removing it it was even there before I stayed and its still there along with the limescale on the shower head. Rooms are dated I had eaten twice and it wasn't anything exciting only good thing was the coffee and tea that come with it. Fish and chips the chips were undercooked the chicken burger wasn't cooked properly and had a cold middle obviously just done in a microwave. Avoid this place there are better places to be at. I've had to put a 1 star review they should be a ZERO rating

"Great hotel"
julian012022, 21 Juin 2022

This was a great hotel to stay in along with being in the middle of everything that we needed the hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful in getting what we needed. Rooms were clean and had everything that we needed.

"Try this hotel the staff are fantastic."
Trip11240056268, 20 Juin 2022

Arrived 1 hour before our check in was due but not a problem they let us check in kept our luggage and we had a drink at the bar until our room was ready. There was only 2 of us competing for service and information against a wedding reception of about 80 or 90 people. This certainly did not mean that we were left alone on the contrary every member the staff we encountered gave us perfect service. I would recommend the Weston Hall Hotel to anyone young or mature.

"Average stay"
alexxmo, 09 Juin 2022

This was booked last minutes for an overnight work stay, due to the usual places not being available. There was ample parking available, the young girl that checked me in was very friendly and helpful and directly me to my room. The room was up two flights of old stairs, there are no lifts, the whole place looks a bit old and worn but it was clean. The room was small and hotter than hell, there was only tiny window that offered little air. The room was very clean but tired looking again. The bathroom looked much newer than the room, recent upgrade maybe. I was woken up at 4am by something in the corridor, a fire alarm or something similar making a loud, shrill beeping noise going off every 5-10 seconds. I called the reception and they dealt with it quickly but by that point I was already awake. This is certainly not a bad hotel and for a night it did the job but for £110 there was better local options in my opinion. Won't be leaving it so late to book next time.

"Business Stay but felt like a vacation."
Mark T, 04 Juin 2022

Absolutely great place to stay. The staff and management couldn't have done anymore for us. The food quality was 10/10 so an enormous thank you to chefs. We traveled down the day before and me Kim on reception and spoke about what we needed. When we arrived the following day Kim and the manager had booked us into a fantastic suite and for the whole week we were looked after. This made work a lot less stressful ,so thanks once again to all the staff

"A Hidden Gem in the Midlands"
morkula, 19 Mai 2022

After the frantic antics of getting to England in a pandemic and discovering many trains and bus schedules altered or cancelled, we arrived at this Elizabethan gem in the Midlands. The rooms are not luxury at all, but are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful in the extreme! Service, service, service! This hotel provided the best service we have experienced in the UK. If you are expecting a modern spa hotel with spacious rooms, don't stay here. If you like history, gourmet food served in the bar, and exceptional draught beer in the same Elizabethan bar, come to the Weston Hall Hotel. And there is a secret door in the Elizabethan library. Fun, fun, fun!

"Wonderful wedding"
Zigster16, 25 Avril 2022

We had the most wonderful wedding day this weekend at Weston Hall. The hotel is beautiful but what makes this place so special is the team. Every single member of staff has been an absolute star. There was a genuine feeling that the team cared as much for our special day as we did. Siobhan who is the wedding coordinator, takes all the stress out of the day and was wonderful throughout. Ian was our MC for the day and was a wonderful host. We felt we made so many new friends with the team at Weston and this place is now special in our hearts

"Disappointed 80's Night"
Seeingitformyself, 23 Avril 2022

We were looking forward to a 80's themed night at Weston Hall. Tickets were £36 which included entertainment and a 3 course meal. People were encouraged to dress up - although we chose not to - but some did… The night was staged in the Manor Suite which is one of the bigger venue rooms at the Hall. It's a nice room. Staff were friendly and service was good. So, the meal came first… and at these kind of events you don't expect the best, however, this meal was terrible. A tasteless terrine, shredded rolled dry lamb (yes I know?!?!), and what tasted like a chocolate yogurt for pudding. Others in our party had the soup - which to be fair was ok- and salmon - which was uneaten! The meal appeared to be reheated and was not a pleasant dining experience. Then, the entertainment started and it got worse. The 80's was a decade of incredible music from an array of talent, yet instead of banging on the original tunes - on came 2 men who practically murdered our favourite tracks. One said ‘we've not done this for a couple of years believe it or not?!' Well we could believe it and were aghast they got through an audition to perform. Karaoke singers at best. It took us until 9.30 to bale out and it was a murderous hack at Bowie's Let's dance that sent us scurrying home for cover! ( we saw a car load of dressed up guests escaping in the car park too!) This is such a shame. The event had so much potential - sadly let down by second rate food and entertainment.

"Great stay!"
Kate7103, 15 Avril 2022

Stayed for work as we were exhibiting at CBS Arena in Coventry. Lovely peaceful location. Very comfortable, immaculately clean and lovely soft bath towels. The staff were all amazing! We ate in the restaurant both nights and it was lovely. We had a couple of members of our team with specific dietary requirements and all I can say is we were so well looked after. Well done to the team at the Weston Hall Hotel....we will be back. Also say hi to the Ducks.

"Weston hall Bedworth"
Gail G, 08 Avril 2022

We had a fabulous stay at Weston hall.staff helpful and friendly.we took our dog, only a minimum charge for the dog, hotel grounds beautiful, very convenient for walking the dog.we will definitely stay there again.

"Afternoon tea"
Josieharbo, 02 Avril 2022

Was treated to afternoon tea with whole family room very tidy but quiet could of done with a low musical background tea and coffee nice and strong sandwiches plenty but overdone with the condiments example cranberry with Turkey dripping out mustard quite strong on ham sandwich and as for the horseradish you needed a glass of water after first bite. Scones seemed nice with ample cream and jam but other cakes disappointing as either to heavy or too sweet

"Fantastic"
paulogilvie1802, 15 Mars 2022

Just stayed here for 3 nights with a coach party. Everything was superb from arrival to departure. The team here led by Ian & Graham were brilliant with all customers requirements. They greeted us on arrival and all staff waved us off politely on departure. The hotel is in a stunning location in the village. Looking at the map the location looks remote but it's easy access to the M69 and for the Fossway towards the Cotswolds. The rooms were cleaned daily by a very pleasant lady who's name I missed, she was so friendly and happy. I would definitely return here for another stay.

"Not good."
Paddypowerd, 03 Mars 2022

No sleep at all some sort of fan going off in bathroom. Also no wifi. The biggest pisstake was breakfast, how do you mess that up someone should show chef how to cook a sausage as it was freezing in the middle, and just an overall misserable breakfast. Staff were sound though, yea probably will never return.

"Getting worse every visit."
bonam773, 02 Mars 2022

Used to be brilliant but over the past few months, what a down hill turn. Firstly the WiFi needs to be sorted this hasn't worked on three visits over two months meaning I've had to check in then go to the nearest McDonald's to finish up reports. Secondly breakfast is at best abismal, only ordered bacon scrambled eggs, which took a while but this didn't bother me. When I finally came my first thought was the chef must be in a bad mood and trying to prove a point today as I had about and this is no joke a thimble full of scrambled eggs and two folded up prices of bacon shoved all the way to one side of the plate. Unfortunately this is the second time also so I got up and left it on the table. The banister on the stairs desperately needs sorting the second time also I've held on and nearly pulled it over. Having said all that the staff I spoke to where polite and the room was clean, however will 100 percent not be returning and will be asking work to strike this one off the list of hotels for the company.

"Chef deciding what I can eat"
I7665HEjackw, 24 Février 2022

I made a very simple dessert request a piece of apple pie - lactose problem so careful about menu choices 1st time was given apple pie with custard, duly sent back and another request for apple pie no custard. 2nd attempt apple pie with vegan ice cream and a waitress giving medical advise about a condition I have lived with for over a decade. Send back with request for just the apple pie. 3rd attempt the chef announces to the entire room he has a piece of apple pie accompanied by a lecture on my medical condition. I just asked him to take the pie and himself away. He also said he was trying to make a joke of things, made the entire room feel uncomfortable I was not laughing!!!!!!!!!!

"A warm welcome"
PrincessofHolidays, 17 Février 2022

Home from home. A warm welcome at Weston Hall - the staff are superb, attentive, friendly and professional. The building itself is very characterful, surrounded by gardens and in a convenient location. The decor of the bedroom stayed in was a little dated in style as you might expect for a 16th century listed building. Yet the room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had all the facilities needed so no issues at all. Delicious food and wine in the cosy hotel bar and a lovely breakfast the following morning. I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

"Amazing afternoon tea"
kateb756, 26 Janvier 2022

We booked afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's baby shower at Weston Hall and were all so pleased with the amazing food and wonderful friendly service. We were so appreciative that the team could offer us a beautiful little private space and we will definitely be back for afternoon tea in the future. We can't thank you enough!

"Clean,Comfortable & Helpful"
infoS4826OX, 29 Novembre 2021

Lovely venue, very helpful staff, nothing to much trouble. The whole staff are helpful with advice if your running an event Food good , Rooms clean and lovely features to the hotel. Set in beautiful grounds.

"lovely character property, if a bit tired in places"
OnAir52167949746, 16 Novembre 2021

A wonderful old hall with extensive grounds, oozing historical character. As with all older properties, maintenance can be a challenge and many rooms could do with an uplift/refurb. And only real gripe was the heating being too hot in the bedrooms and not able to be adjusted downwards. But that does not detract from the quality of food and service and oozing of character.

"What a welcome!"
janicehenry, 15 Novembre 2021

We stayed for one night on a Sunday after a day visiting relatives in Birmingham. We had a lovely welcome and the staff could not do enough for us. They were all so welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely dinner and stay. A special Thank-you to Jill on reception and the chef in particular. We would defiantly stay again

"Lovely ambiance but terrible beds"
DGWoody, 15 Novembre 2021

The hotel is a lovely old building with some fantastic features. The staff were great and a good breakfast BUT The bed was a joke. Decent mattress but the bed was so small (slightly wider than a single). The radiators in the room were dangerously hot and couldn't be adjusted in the bathroom. The shower was boiling hot and I couldn't adjust that either. The lighting was very dim. I reported this at reception on check out.

"Beautiful hotel"
maynardkmay, 08 Novembre 2021

Beautiful hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Graham at the front desk welcomed us when we arrived. He was warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and well decorated. We would definitely stay there again.

"Ok but not making the best if the building"
finbar, 17 Octobre 2021

Hard to fault at the very reasonable price, but could have been so much more. The building is great and the rooms clean. Service was smiley but slow in all departments . Decor was dated and the mismatch of the wood panelled bar playing capital fm was just jarring. Breakfast ,especially the meagre continental offering -was weak and the coffee dire. Dinner was ok, aside from the overbright lighting. It would have been better if anyone had known whether the wines in the list were available. Our waitress, davina, was charming. Aside from the breakfast, I'd stay again, nothing went wrong and it was decent value for money. but there is SO much opportunity

"BEAUTIFUL LOCATION - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"
AntonyP183, 05 Octobre 2021

Spacious rooms - friendly and accommodating staff from the cleaners to reception and everything in between. Breakfasts are great also - plenty of car parking - lots of history blending with the modern. A great short stay - highly recommended venue

"Amazing hotel"
Orangefarm, 01 Octobre 2021

This hotel is old and that is what is so great about it. The building has stood since the 1500's and is as beautiful and majestic as you could imagine. All the people saying that the hotel is “dated” don't know what they are talking about. The hotel is frankly amazing. It is set back from the road and has a presence all of its own. It is a large hotel with ample parking. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left the staff were amazing. We brought our dog with us (yes the hotel is dog friendly) and the staff made him feel welcome. We couldn't eat breakfast in the restaurant with a dog - for obvious reasons - so the staff set up a table for us in the lounge so we could eat in there. The food was delicious and the service was impressively quick. We had booked a standard double room. I was impressed by the size of it. It was very large indeed. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well appointed with a light above the mirror. The shower was powerful and, should you choose it to be, hot enough to cook you alive.

"Great place to stay and brilliant staff"
iainpriestley, 28 Septembre 2021

From the moment you enter the hotel you are made to feel welcome, hotel has great staff all really friendly and the food is fantastic and has a great bar. Weston hall seems to be the best in Coventry as I have stopped in a few now and do not have the same quality

"dog shows"

We had an overnight stay and found very friendly staff. Would use again good location...food good....have already reserved our next visit...very welcoming to our dogs. would happily recommend to our friends as worth a visit.

"80th Birthday Party"
Percy H, 27 Septembre 2021

I celebrated my 80th birthday in the Dubarry Suite with twenty of my family on the 25th September 2021. This was well organized by Ian the Manager for me. The food was excellent and the service by the waitress's and the waiters was very efficient indeed. The only hiccup was one of the main meals did not arrive, so had to wait for the chef to cook it. Other than that it was a great night. 9\\10

"Lovely friendly hotel"
sjc179, 23 Septembre 2021

Booked in for an overnight stay when we went to visit the Triumph Factory. We were greeted by Jane who was lovely and friendly. As it was only an overnight stay we had booked a small double with breakfast. The room had everything we needed and was perfectly comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and the service was great. All the staff were very friendly. Plenty to choose from for breakfast. It was a great stay and would have no hesitation in going back. Thank you

"Great venue for a wedding"
Floella12753, 15 Septembre 2021

My son had his wedding here - about 18 stayed the night - it was perfect. The staff were attentive all day, the place is beautiful, can't fault it. It was raining all day but even that couldn't spoil a perfect day

"Exceeded expectations"
haganhoran, 12 Septembre 2021

Managed to get the last room for my parents who were completely lost, John made them incredibly welcome (while reassuring us that they were safe) and they were able to rest and resume their journey the next day. A real disaster was averted and we are so grateful for John and his wife's kindness. A rare find in these times.

"Perfection. Book immediately!"
sjbeckett, 06 Septembre 2021

We were a group of 6 ladies having a much needed weekend away. From the first contact by email the staff at Weston Hall couldn't do enough for us to ensure that we had a wonderful time while at their hotel. Though perhaps in need of a facelift (aren't we all) the welcome and service we received while at Weston Hall was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff was helpful, friendly and happy that you were there and seemed to be happy in their job too. Service with a smile. The food was stunning. Delicious. Fantastic value for money. 5 star quality ingredients and the chefs are a real talent in the kitchen. All 6 of us can't recommend Weston Hall highly enough and the staff are a credit to you. But we have to mention Graham. What a lovely guy and an asset to the hotel's team. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and appreciated and he should be commended for his generous character, his attitude to the job and for making our weekend the highlight it was. Thank you to all the staff at Weston Hall!

"Good value"
paulabonus, 02 Septembre 2021

Lovely stay for one night helpful polite staff, nice breakfast. My son is autistic and staff and chef went out of there way to make him a bacon sandwich to takeaway which made such a difference. Thank you

"Nice but dated"
X4531XMjennyb, 31 Août 2021

We spent one night at this Hotel. Lovely Hotel to look at. We attended a wedding great location for this event. Lovely staff on reception and at event. Room is outdated and needs work doing on it. Cleaning needs improvement. Bed damaged needs changing. Mould on windows and bathroom needs finishing off. We stayed in room 25. Breakfast was ok until got to cooked part. I am gluten free so ordered accordingly. My large plate consisted of a fried egg, one and a half rashers of bacon, half a grilled tomato(small) and half a mushroom. And gluten free toast. Upon request more mushrooms came to fill the plate! And the decaf coffee was unpleasant. The older lady in the breakfast room was lovely and helpful the younger staff could learn from her. Sorry didn't get her name.

"Nice looking main building - poor rooms"
wearytraveller1972, 31 Août 2021

The main building is lovely as is the bar area and breakfast room, unfortunately the rooms are not part of the old building and are very tired and dated, the bathroom was nice and looks like it may have been recently updated, I stayed in room 3 and was not impressed, the carpet was very dirty, the cupboard had mould in it and the window would not fully close and lock.

"Comfortable accomodation and good food"
Roude_Liew, 30 Août 2021

My wife and I stayed at Weston Hall as an overnight stop-over, as it is conveniently located about 20 minutes off the M6 near Stafford. It as an imposing stone Dower House dating from around 1600, and has most recently been restored to form a hotel and venue. Our third floor room was large and comfortable, if a bit dated. However as it had no rooms above it, there was almost no noise and we had a very good night's sleep. The absence of a lift was not an issue for us, but could be for those with heavy bags. However what made the stopover very relaxing and enjoyable was the staff and food, which made it overall a good stay. Weston Hall's main business seems to be weddings and events, so they have a good quality kitchen working hard all day, so the menu is more varied and better quality than many hotels which seem to have trimmed back choice significantly as a result of COVID.. When we arrived they were just finishing serving afternoon tea – we didn't try it, but it looked ample and very appetising, with lots of baked scones, fancies and sandwiches. No rush or pressure in the food area; one group who were just starting their around 17:00 were finishing up their teas around 20:00. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Supper was very good – I had ‘local asparagus', which was indeed fresh, local, tender and very well presented with a poached egg, pancetta and cress. My wife had a small Caesar salad, again very well presented. Then she had an excellent sea bass with a seafood sauce, and I had a steak and mushroom pie which came with a crispy crust and lots of gravy. Desserts were also good. Continental breakfast was a little limited, but an additional cooked breakfast order gave us more than enough to set us up for a full day on the road. Overall I would recommend it for a night or two if travelling through or visiting something in the Stafford area, as it gives comfortable accommodation and good food with no fuss in a relaxed atmosphere.

"A great 2 nights in a great hotel"
Azurite320, 22 Août 2021

Nothing tells you more about a hoel than its staff. Everyone working at this hotel was courteous, friendly and very efficient - front of house reception, restaurant, bar, housekeeping and fuction staff all helped to make this a very pleasant stay. Couldn't do enough to ensure everyone had a great time. The food was perfect too!

"Fantastic stay"
kirkt368, 14 Août 2021

Stayed in an accessible room and nothing was to much from all the staff. As soon as I pulled up the staff were out with ramp. Helped us straight to rook and made sure we were comfortable. Lady covering breakfast although on her own nothing to much trouble. We will definetly stay again and huge value for money. Brilliant stay

"Family celebration with afternoon tea"
lizziegee62, 14 Août 2021

We came to Weston Hall for a family birthday celebration. We had afternoon tea for 9 in the Lounge. The food was delicious and when we asked about vegetarian sandwiches they brought us an extra plate full. Lovely cakes, warm scones, teapots were replenished whenever we wanted. The room was beautiful and we had it to ourselves, the staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly professional and helpful. Definitely recommend.

"Excellent value for money"
D3bbi31967, 14 Août 2021

We stayed for one night, very friendly, helpful staff. We booked at the last minute and couldn't believe what we got for our money. Breakfast was lovely too. We had a really pleasant, friendly waitress. We'd recommend a stay here.

"Dreadful food"
Drunkenengineer, 26 Juillet 2021

Our family group received a friendly welcome to this old hotel in a beautiful setting. However things swiftly deteriorated. One bedroom had to be changed as there were dead flies all over the window ledge , plus carpet & bed linen felt damp. Another bedroom was dark with strange smell. Spotless bedding & towels. However bedroom carpet covered in brown stains en route to the bathroom. Similar splatter on wall paper. Half empty complementary water bottle left on bedside table. Booked early dinner & only 2 other diners in restaurant as we arrived, yet they were already running out of food for what would be a busy restaurant that evening. Offered white bread roll only as bread had not been delivered that day. Homemade pies highly recommended by waitress, but had already run out of pulled pork pie. Pate starter should have had walnut bread. We asked if this had been delivered & told the walnut bread was home made. Pate arrived with brioche & we sent it back to the kitchen in search of the walnut bread. Advised they had run out. "Juicy Atlantic prawn cocktail with king prawns" arrived offering the cheapest defrosted shrimp lacking any taste. This was returned. Advised they hadn't had a fish delivery that day either. Wild mushroom risotto was good. However the rest of the main courses served to our group were shocking. The individual homemade pies seen online were not evident. Each were served a small slice of pie with reheated vegetables. The cauliflower was yellow & the carrots had a taste of vinegar. Frozen chips were anaemic & many with black spots. Why serve these? All this was accompanied with a jug of thick brown gravy with a skin. Not right for a chicken pie. Dessert was served with cream that was well past its sell by date & also returned. In fairness the waitresses tried their best, but were working without the backing of a chef. Breakfast really wasn't much better. We were not expecting gourmet dishes but good homemade food, as advertised. Sadly this was not in evidence. Couldn't fault reception and waiting staff who looked embarrassed with what they were having to work with.

"Great lunch"
Flipflops88123, 07 Juillet 2021

Can't thank you enough for a lovely lunch in the marquee with work colleagues. We booked at short notice for a large group and were all able to keep distant and have a lovely time. Food was clearly fresh and really tasty - they were able to adapt the menu for me too. Service was great and we couldn't have asked for better or for the staff to be more accommodating. Meant a lot so thank you so much!

"Great hotel"
lynnusauk, 19 Mai 2021

Lovely character hotel with ample parking, beautiful and peaceful setting, friendly and helpful reception staff. Disabled access / rooms. Can't comment on food as didn't eat on site. Thoroughly recommend.

"Couldn't ask for more excellent stay"
clairemU3407EY, 19 Mai 2021

We stayed for one night after a disastrous stay at another hotel in the area. The reception staff dealt with our request for a room quickly and expeditiously. On arrival our room was ready and the staff couldn't have been better, friendly polite and made you feel at home. The room was lovely, warm, aired very clean and comfy. The bar service was exceptional and the grounds and hotel were perfect . Yes the hotel is old but what an amazing building - we loved it. Our evening meal was in the restaurant and was exceptional , some of the best food I've tasted. Service again second to none. Fabulous wine list etc at a very reasonable price. So after amazing food a good nights sleep was had. Breakfast again was in the restaurant and again it didn't disappoint, excellent standard and quality and the service again was exceptional. Thank you to all the staff your a credit to the hotel which is beautiful. Can't wait to come back

"Dirty and unacceptable "
973francesa, 08 Mai 2021

I stayed here in May on business. The building exterior is absolutely beautiful , however that's where it stops. The room was filthy. Dust everywhere, stains all over the carpets, kettle half full and sticky and bedside lamps, dressing table and bathroom mirror light not working. Bed uncomfortable. In times of Covid, I actually didn't want to take my socks off or touch anything without sanitising afterwards.

"Grim"
SanH1, 04 Mai 2021

I really wanted to like this hotel during my two day stay however no matter how much I tried, I found more wrong with it, than I did right. I know times have been very difficult for the hospitality services during Covid, however if they continue to take money from guests, they should at least try to get it right. Staff were lovely throughout my stay and very kind and welcoming. The food is amazing and OMG the chef needs a medal, tasty, big portions (too big for me, but that's better than insufficient) and very well presented. Ignoring the fact my bed frame was falling apart (see the pics), the bedding at least was clean. That's where it ends unfortunately. The rooms and general communal areas are tired, decrepit and need a good refurbishment. There is dust everywhere, even on a knife I was provided with for my lunch! Unbelievable. My room was dirty, and there were bits on the carpet on arrival, clearly the hoover did not pick up. The wall near to the kettle and cups etc is dirty and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. See the pics provided. The windows are single pane and metal framed, in extremely poor condition and the wind blew the net curtains with the wi does closed! Sorry Weston Hall, certainly not your finest moment. I have found over the years, Best Western Hotels are hit and miss. They seem to take on the old buildings that nobody else wants (probably because they are money pits), but then they cannot keep up with the required works to keep them nice. Shame.

"Shocking standards"
Patsy w, 03 Mai 2021

The rooms and hotel were dreadful. Ivy actually growing through the window into the bedroom. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Mould everywhere. The building is stunning but you the bedrooms were the worse I had ever seen. The ceiling was leaking and a bucket was left at the top of the stairs as a trips hazard. I moved from the first room but the 2nd room was not any better. I cut my stay short and left after 1 night.

"Meal in marquee"
lisabO8761JK, 16 Avril 2021

As we hadn't been on a date during the whole of the pandemic, my partner and I were over the moon to hear that the weston hall which is a short walk away from our house, was opening the marquee for food and drinks. I booked a table and when we arrived we were sorely disappointed. The marquee is dirty, there were just wooden benches, it was freezing cold and the poor staff were shivering! Would it be too difficult for them to put some heaters in there, add a few table cloths, maybe a bit of music?! Especially when we were paying £17 each for a main meal! When the food came, it was awful...warmed up pre-made meals that resembled school meals. Our waitress was wonderful and I advised her to ask management if she was allowed to wear a coat and gloves as the poor girl was struggling to write she was that cold! It was a very disappointing evening considering we were looking forward to it so much. We will not be going back and we are advising our friends and family too.

"A comfy stay"
darrenbarber, 08 Avril 2021

The location was perfect for the purpose of my stay. I did have an issue with the heating in my room and as soon as it was apparent that it could nit be fixed I was moved to a new room. thank you to the helpful staff who made this happen and did all they could to assist me.

"The hottest hotel in the history of humankind."
katiehF344HO, 11 Mars 2021

Even with the radiators turned off the room was pushing 25 Celsius. Being on the ground floor you couldn't open the window. The window has no blinds so the curtains have to be constantly closed. The bathroom door slides and often gets stuck. Breakfast was horrific. Free WiFi, Netflix on the television in the room and a really nice shower. A strange hotel.

The staff of the Weston Hall Hotel played a key role in making our mother's 80th birthday celebration a roaring success. Living in Brussels we needed to celebrate with a Skype dinner, not wanting mum or dad to cook. We had THE BEST Skype dinner, thanks to a lovely and on timely delivery to two addresses. Thank you. You were part of a major family event today. We will surely order again!!!!

"Halloween Staycation"
gaynorf385, 02 Novembre 2020

I'm a regular at Weston Hall Hotel as its on my doorstep, as I love the place. But I stayed over night for the first time on Halloween, & it was Spooktacular! Me & my friends enjoyed a fab evening listening to the evenings entertainment Natalie Nightingale, she was amazing!! So my first stay over.... Let's start with the general look; absolutely lovely, clean spacious & well equipped. Yes ladies leave your hairdryer at home, they have one at your disposal, along with ironing board, iron, TV, kettle tea & coffee, bottle of water, & plenty of plugs & mirrors to get ready, us ladies love that lol! The ensuite had a massive shower, perfect temperature, plenty of towels, & usual shower gel & soap. The entertainment & food is excellent, as is the service. The bed was the perfect firmness, & I had a great night's sleep. I can't say enough praise about ALL the staff, having that nothing is too much attitude, warm, welcoming, & friendly. I would highly recommend you staying over & enjoying great entertainment & food. I for one will be treating myself to a stay over more often, as it's lovely being pampered, & breakfast was sooo delicious! A big thank you to all the staff for looking after me as always

"Excellent"
JanloveTony, 01 Novembre 2020

We had a lovely evening last night at Weston Hall. The Halloween theme was super, Entertainment Natalie Nightingale was great. Weston Hall has in place the Covid19 Governemnt Guidelines which I say is outstanding and we would like to say we are very proud of you for that. We say a speical thank you to the staff Ian, Graham, Caitlin, Tia, John and rest of the Team as your service is excellent. The food is lovely with lots of different menus which is great. Thank you chefs and kitchen staff for your hard work. We look forward to seeing you all again soon Take Care all

"Lovely afternoon tea and excellent service"
Zoe E, 31 Août 2020

Had afternoon tea for 3 adults and a toddler, the selection was perfect and delicious, even the child's afternoon tea was spot on. We were so impressed that they offered to replenish our sandwiches and any cakes as we've never had afternoon tea where they have offered this. They also gave us all a cupcake to take away, a very nice touch and memorable afternoon out. We will definitely go again as we love the beautiful building, setting, service and food.

"Excellent staff but dinner on a draughty Park bench"
NealM420, 26 Août 2020

We were out to celebrate a wedding anniversary and my daughter's GCSE results! We thought this looked like a posh place. From the outside it did. Inside we were led through beautiful corridors into a marquee with picnic benches. We felt overdressed and cold. One heater 30 metres away was not adequate on an August night. The food was lovely and the waitresses were friendly and helpful. But for the price it lacked the value for money and comfort we expected and left us feeling short changed. When we brought our feelings to the attention of the manager the following day we had a very lukewarm response. Ok but won't be going again!!

"Not the best"
Definitely Not T, 24 Août 2020

Came today for my mums birthday. Was expecting to have are meal in the Leyland resturant as that's what was stated on the website. We ended up having to sit in this marquee which was pretty however the food was very pub like and not up to hotel standard.Starters were cold and when asked for a replacement it was came back cold again.Staff seemed very confused and not organised however they were all very polite and lovely.Food was quite basic and took a while. Not sure if we will be returning sadly.

"Food very good"
deanr2015, 23 Août 2020

We came for an evening meal. Food was very good. We had the hog roast pie, would recommend. The serving size of the pie was a bit tight which is why no 5 star, see photo attached. Again serving size, for starter i had the patte which came with only 2 small slices from a baguette. Again just a small detail which wouldn't cost the restaurant a lot but would go along way for a customer.

"3 day break "
paulcarver, 19 Août 2020

The hotel is very so don't expect everything all shiny., the GM Ian makes you very welcome, and all the staff are very helpful and friendly, praise must also be given to the chef and his team for lovely fresh and well prepared dishes, if anything could be improved it would have been good to get a information pack on arrival or sent by email on booking, but apart from avery nice break.

"Very poor service"
G6085MQandym, 30 Juillet 2020

Visited with a group of 12 for a leaving function. We were placed at a table all together outside in a pleasant location. However, the table service for drinks was incredibly slow and it was obvious the waitress didnt know the menu which was frustrating. At this stage we started going to the bar ourselves because the drinks table service was non existent. I ordered a steak baguette and waited approximately 70 mins for it. I assume this was to bring out everyones food together which we didn't ask for. When it arrived it was very disappointing, it was clear that because i had ordered first it had been prepared first and left on a hotplate while everyone else's was cooked, it was horribly dry with cremated fries. I cannot comment on other peoples food. As I was leaving early I wanted to pay my bill so approached the bar staff to pay for my food and drink. I was told that this would not be possible as we did not request itemised billing and had to pay for everyones food and drink together. After being told we needed to see the manager if we wanted to pay individually and requesting again to pay separately we were rudely told that isnt their policy! After some persuasion he threw copies of the waitresses bills at us and said “there you go”. Absolutely disgusting customer service!! I then had to queue up again behind 3 other people to pay my bill at the bar that had run out of change. In summary, nice venue, poor customer service, poor table service, poor food. Will not be returning. Had better service and food at Wetherspoons.

"Held My Wedding Reception 300+ Guests !!"
kayedean87, 22 Juin 2020

10/10....Had my wedding reception here on 5th July 2019, and would choose this venue in a heartbeat over and over again.. Mrs Siobhan was and is the best wedding coordinator ever!!! by a long way, along with the Hotel Manager and each and every member of staff who gave 10/10 service and care during almost two years of planning,. we had over 300+ people in attendance on our day.. and this task Siobhan and the team went beyond and greater.. the grounds are super stunning and the food was amazing.... im sometimes picky but their food was truly one of the best I have ate.. from the meal taster... to the night before meal.. to the engagement meal to the Big day everything happened beautifully because of the team here at Weston Hall.. looking forward to staying here and having our 1 year anniversary in 2020 with them.. i cannot rate this place enough.. you will not be disappointed..even all our guests fell in love with the grounds, the location and the venue..and most of all all our guests loved the staff and their hard work.... im super happy myself and hubby easily chose this place for our very special day.. and having the fantastic team to support us made it super smooth and very enjoyable.. We are forever grateful God truly blessed us with amazing people and a very stunning and more than accommodating venue.. :-)

"Coronavirus - Hotel closed and still received stay survey."
garysurvey, 20 Avril 2020

What the hell are Best western about? Hotel closed due to Coronavirus and they are sending out customer survey emails about the stay. Did receive full refund as we had booked the comedy event which we have attended at this hotel before and would recommend. Will mark as the last time we here at hotel.

"Amazing stay"
Katieanddave85, 14 Mars 2020

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the lovely professional staff. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. It's so hard these days to find excellent customer service but this beautiful hotel offered just that. Everyone went above and beyond and made our stay so special. We booked the prosecco package with dinner bed and breakfast. The bedroom was beautiful and overlooked some beautiful grounds. The food was delicious. We honestly had the best time. Thank you so much we are already planning on coming back. Special mention to the duty manager I think his name was graham he was fantastic.

"You get more than you pay for."
795kevin, 01 Mars 2020

Western Hall, although weather and age worn, is a great place to stay over on a trip. For the best experience (from our experience) you need to book at least large room, ours was large double. Our experience of standard/small was not horrible, if you just want a bed to sleep in and a bath/shower in the morning. But in a large double you get a two seater sofa and table, which changes everything. Just to sit down and rest, chat or even eat in your room. Very relaxing! We ate in the bar, food was okay. Although it can get noisy, if there's a group in trying to out talk each other..... there's also a lounge to site and read, drink. The grounds are nice, especially if you have a dog, even a dog waste bin. Our only gripe, which is true of all hotels we have stayed in, is you can't build your own meal/breakfast and pay just for that. It's all pre set, if there are things in the meal you don't want, they will remove them, but you still pay full price. Streamline for them, but not a true service for us!

"Business stay"
Michael H, 27 Janvier 2020

When in the area i always choose the best western bulkington. The staff are so friendly the food and service is second to none rooms are tidy and comfortable really good value for money. I will be back soon

"Vegan menu"
Catherine E, 14 Janvier 2020

Compliments to the chef. Being vegan usually the options are limited. Had the most amazing meal with several options available. The main and dessert was out of this world. Defiantly on my list of places to return to

"Expected so much more"
broxyboy50, 07 Janvier 2020

Very cold welcome at reception not a great start. Room very small. Mould dampness in bathroom? Stale smell in Bedroom. Food and drink reasonable in bar barmaid star of the hotel very friendly. Hotel tired. As a regular traveller there are so many hotel rooms that are so much better. Sadly won't be back. Could be good needs to improve standards.

"Beautiful historic hotel being left to fade to dust"
Sonia T, 18 Décembre 2019

This gorgeous place should be packed out less than 2 weeks before Christmas. It has such potential to return to its previous popularity but while there is such a lack lustre approach from management it can never shine.

"Fantastic Afternoon with Santa"
laurencampion2b, 15 Décembre 2019

We went to Weston Hall today to have tea with Santa and it was brilliant! Fantastic value for money at £34 for myself and my 6 year old daughter along with my friend and her 7 year old. We were met by a very energetic elf who seated us whilst we waited. A great magician kept us amused and the kids loved him. We then went into a room to make reindeer food bags and write and post a letter to Santa in the post box. Then it was time to go through to the Library to see the Big Man and he was great. A truly lovely Santa who sang songs and told a story and gave all the kids wrapped personalised named presents, a great little touch. Then it was in to the big room for festive afternoon tea and some dancing at the disco. There was also a balloon Modeler. The afternoon tea was great, lots of food and tasty sandwiches and delicious scones and pigs in blankets. The kids had little glass bottles of milkshake. Then it was in to another room for games and colouring. All in all a wonderful afternoon. The kids loved it and so did us adults. Will definitely do it again next year. This was the first time they had done it so a big well done to the team at Weston Hall. Great value for money and lovely touches. Merry Christmas!!

"Nearly perfect!"
steviemacca, 08 Décembre 2019

Here for a wedding reception. To be fair, there was very little to complain about( but I'll find something!).Food was good, not great. Wedding reception room was a little too cool for a cold December night. Our allotted room was good, if maybe a tad small. Very clean and the bedding had a lovely fresh scent to it. Big gripe about the bar. It was just a tedious experience trying to get served. Members of our party were reduced to venturing to the local co-op, for refreshments !. It really was that bad. Anyway, the biggest plus of our stay was the hardworking, friendly, (nothing to much trouble) staff. It really is a nice quirky, quaint hotel and we shall visit again.

"Nice hotel but a bit tired."
Hairgone_Ronay, 08 Décembre 2019

I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel is situated in a very pleasant part of Bulkington and is very impressive on first arrival, a quintissential country manor hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful, if a little laid back, but this is in keeping with the feel of the place. It is in need of a major refresh, though, especially the bedroom which was very tired and dated and, when I first arrived, unheated. Everything feels a bit beige and worn so the initial luxurious impression of the place is lost by the time you get to the room. Food, in the bar, was ok but the service on the two nights I ate in was very slow, I had to wait for an hour on both occasions for my order to arrive and then both courses came at once. All of that said, the bed was very comfy, the room was kept spotlessly clean and the service was always friendly so I can't really complain that it was a bad stay, just a little underwhelming.

"Beautiful hotel and views, all staff lovely and exceptional food"
Helen H, 01 Décembre 2019

This place is beautiful, all staff were lovely and the food was exceptional, only criticism is that there was a dog show on the next day so lots staying the night, love dogs so that wasn't a problem but on booking we should have been told as we were in a room next to a fire exit and we were kept awake by people going in and out the fire exit when taking their pets for a wee and not shutting the door quietly hence the 3 rating for sleep quality, if not for this it would have been a better sleep, 100% going back x

"Very good value for money"
Leah P, 23 Novembre 2019

Loved this hotel - room lovely and full english breakfast every morning - i stayed for a week whilst on a training course! Lots of hot water, bar meals excellent but popiilar so a bit of a wait - but worth it! Staff are all excellent and friendly and helpful. Not much locally but i would stay here again without hesitation.

"A night out"
Penney K, 22 Novembre 2019

Great night great food .staff are amazing very helpful . I am dairy free and every think was just like my friends meals Even made me a pudding, which was great.very happy and would go again And may be stay over.

"Great value at Weston Hall"
Kevin W, 04 Novembre 2019

Over the years, this has been a great place to stay and this occasion was no exception. Good food, very comfortable room, reasonably priced bar and to top it all, a free (for hotel guests) fire works display.

"Birthday afternoon tea"
chelsea88b, 15 Octobre 2019

Booked this for my birthday with partner and my nan, before hand I'd called up to request plain scones. We were greeted to a nice room and told tea would be brought out and it was straight away which i found strange as usually you have a menu with different teas etc to choose from, which led us to then have to ask for coffee and a orange juice. Food came out prompt and my plain scone request had obviously been ignored, sandwiches were ok but both scones and cakes were all really dry and tasteless. Considering it's £18 a person it's definitely not worth it and I've had a lot better ones much cheaper. Shame as it ruined my birthday slightly

"Lovely stay!"
Kimmy Vermillio... W, 10 Octobre 2019

Such a serene location here in England where we stayed in this lovely manor house now converted into a hotel. Weston Hall hotel is fabulous! Danielle has been particularly welcoming and kind and full of history regarding the manor house. Enjoyed the clear skies and bright moon shining into my window overlooking the gardens. Would definitely return!

"Disappointing"
David J, 07 Octobre 2019

VERY small room, could not walk around the bed. Room was generally tired, bathroom door damaged, didn't close properly. Room not cheap hence the disappointment. Breakfast disappointing also, likely pre-prepared and re-heated due to dried bean juice around plate. Staff very friendly & helpful although zero atmosphere in bar/reception area, no music...just silence.

"Thanks"
Gordon R, 03 Octobre 2019

Stayed here for the week from the first day. Danielle,Indie and especially Tia who we saw the most served with a smile and treated me like a friend all week. The rooms are beautiful and the food is amazing highly recommend this hotel to anyone thanks to the staff for the hard work and making my stay feel comfortable.

"Always a lovely stay"
BettyMoos, 27 Septembre 2019

I stay here for business every month, and I always enjoy staying here. The appearance of the hotel is very beautiful, plenty of parking too. The rooms are always clean and lovely, and have everything you need. The staff too are all very lovely, friendly, and genuine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Excellent!"
Olich93, 26 Septembre 2019

Lovely place, delicious food but most of all - amazing staff! A lady saw me coughing at breakfast and made me honey and lemon to get me better! There was always a takeaway cup ready for me to grab a drink to go, I'll definitely be staying again!

"Wedding reception"
Wanderer50121711579, 23 Septembre 2019

We held our wedding reception here .staff was very friendly couldn't do enough, food was nice portions and came out hot .i will most certainly returning to stay again at a later date .our room was spacious and very clean

"Wedding"
377kirsty, 23 Septembre 2019

A wonderful experience could not fault anything. Staff where all helpful and friendly. Service was great. Food came out hot and was good. The wedding marquee was stunning. The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend as a wedding venue to anyone planning a wedding.

"Fabulous lunch"
DEECoventry, 13 Septembre 2019

The weekday lunch menu is available from 12.00 until 14.00. There are 3 choices. Fish, chips and mushy peas. Weston Hall pie, chips and veg (I had the steak and ale). Finally a Ploughmans lunch. We sampled the fish and chips and the pie and they were both lovely. Both home made. Included in the price is a drink and you can choose from beer, wine, Pepsi or lemonade. All for the bargain price of £8.95 each. The hotel is beautiful. Very traditional. Well looked after. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

"View of a wall!"
Tina M, 09 Septembre 2019

Have stayed here on business a couple of times, the last time will probably be my last visit. My room was on the ground floor and the view from the window was a brick wall almost within touching distance! Not a pleasant room at all.

"Mrs gilmore"
Curious818702, 01 Septembre 2019

Cant say exactly when i stayed but it was a nice stay clean an comfortable bit pricey on food and drink so ate out but worth a visit plenty to see an do and the swan tapas was great value for money to eat and drink at ( will try to book here as well have tried but always booked out ) we have thought about coming back to best weston but have not done so as of yet but we will see

"Friendly, great value hotel and you can bring your dog"
Sarah P, 28 Août 2019

We stayed for one night whilst passing through and wished we'd stayed for longer. Great dog friendly hotel at a reasonable price (too tip - phone hotel direct for best price, we paid £20 less than best price online) Dogs allowed in hotel room and bar - if you want to dine with your dog just let them know and they will set a table up in the bar for you. Very generous portions for the food - we ordered from the light bites section of the menu and, judging by the size of these portions, I can't imagine how huge a “proper” main must be! Room was small but had everything you need and bed very comfy - great night's sleep. Would definitely go back if we are ever in the area.

"Continues to deliver a good service"
foodfanUK, 27 Août 2019

Weston Hall doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't and the service is always very good indeed. Yes some of the decor could do with updating and there isn't a gym fro those who want one, but it just works as a good place to stay on business.

"Birthday treat"
Anne M, 26 Août 2019

Stayed one night here for a birthday weekend. It ticked all the boxes - wonderful old building, exceptional evening meal, clean room and very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is set in absolutely beautiful gardens, which the guests can enjoy. There was a 2/3 course set evening meal menu which was very reasonably priced with an excellent selection. The breakfast buffet bar had something for everyone and was very well presented and our cooked breakfasts were fresh and hot. The room was clean and had a window in bathroom (bonus!!). I had the best nights sleep away from home for as long as I can remember and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here next time we visit the area as the hotel is well positioned for all the Midlands.

"A real family hotel"
AcapsRB, 22 Août 2019

Excellent relaxed atmosphere with good happy service. Rooms are very clean and pleasant. I have stayed there when visiting client in Birmingham and sometimes in the past have had my wife travelling with me.

"Ok but rooms small "
alexdY439HZ, 21 Août 2019

Stayed for 3 nights whilst working away! Rooms clean and well looked after! Hotel and grounds are stunning! Rooms a bit on the small side but as I was alone it wasn't a massive issue! Breakfast was good thought that getting your own pot of coffee was a nice touch! Would stay again

"Wow!!!"
EmmaJ1383, 19 Août 2019

Ordered the beef kofta. How can you get that SO wrong! Beef was dry and had no flavour what so ever. Potatoes were so dry you needed a glass of wine to get them down. Was so hungry after waiting half an hour that had to eat. Salad was lovely.

"Made our day! (Wedding 2019)"
Ourwestworld, 11 Août 2019

To all of the weston team, From the first email Siobhan was extremely attentive and willing to go above and beyond to help us achieve our vision. On the big day she was amazing, keeping me sane when I got stressed lending me her ear when I needed to rant and always ensuring we got a minute to have a drink and just relax! Also, Ian was the best toast master I could of asked for he was able to command the room so well he even got my family to pay attention! Also a quick mention to Graham for meeting me from my car with an umbrella when it chucked it down so I could bring my dress in without getting soaked! I have never seen a team work so cohesively to deliver excellent service on what can be a stressful event and make it look so effortless. Thank you to everyone involved in our big day we truly couldn't of done it without you!!!

"Nice hotel and grounds but badly let down by management."
MeAndonis, 19 Juillet 2019

Nice hotel and grounds but badly let down by insufficient staff and stock in the bar.Attended a function, there was a bar in the function room but one had to go to the main bar area to get drinks and wine and carry them back to the function room that had unmanned bar facilities. The bar sold out of many drinks and ran out of most glasses as there was no pot washer/collector in evidence. The solitary bar person (think she was called Nora) was exceptional trying her very best to serve her constant queue of customers. There were several events happening on the same evening .Obviously the management failed to plan for adequate supplies and staff levels or make contingency plans.

"lovely hotel"
Daydream05648346935, 08 Juillet 2019

this hotel is a lovely friendly hotel in a beautiful setting, we were in a double aspect room at the front of the hotel. very quiet considering there was a beer festival on at the time. looking forward to staying here again in the future.

"Unlikely to return"
njwalsh2002, 03 Juillet 2019

Impressive exterior on arrival sadly it ended there. No acknowledgement of being a rewards member had to ask for bonus points. I booked a small double, after asking about an upgrade (information wasn't offered on check in) I was told i had already been upgraded to a standard double - all i can say is I'm glad i didn't pay extra for the standard double if that's really what it was - it was tiny! I accept it's an old building, we like the character but this was looking tired and shabby. On the plus side the lady serving in the bar on the Saturday evening was lovely, pleasant to everyone, no exceptions.

"Wedded bliss"
robbeduf, 02 Juillet 2019

Got married here on 29/6/19. What can I say. The staff were amazing and guided us through the whole day without a hitch. The staff were always available to answer questions but their presence was very discreet. The food and venue is outstanding and would highly recommend Weston Hall to anyone looking for a meal out or a wedding. The Team made a special day magical by their efficiency and forward planning. THANK YOU!!!

"Best western western hall Bulkington"
Ray C, 02 Juillet 2019

An excellent period hotel with very comfortable rooms and guest areas. The breakfast is of a first class standard catering for all tastes. Masses of parking is available together with lovely gardens and grounds to walk after dinner.

"Lovely location, helpful staff, lovely room"
Chris L, 02 Juillet 2019

Can't fault the location. the room was lovely although I did have a bit of a fight with the shower to get the right temperature. Would have liked a bigger cooked breakfast. Younger staff could have been more pleasant as they came across a little rude.

"Good hotel for the location "
Video2015, 30 Juin 2019

Great service on the reception. A colleagues room had not been booked properly and was sorted out very efficiently. Amazing bathrooms with very modern look and feel and very clean. The rest of the room needed updating but was comfortable. There was even cuppa Soup in the room!!! We had a curry in the bar for meal and was tasty and big portion sizes. Breakfast was OK but nothing special in my opinion.

"Much better than I thought it would be"
Linda4663, 28 Juin 2019

We stayed overnight and were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of rooms, the little extras such as several different types of teabags in the rooms. The bath in my room was spacious, the water was lovely and hot, and the shower also worked well I read the last review about the poor breakfast and wondered if they were writing about the same place! Only £10 for a full English with scrambled or fried eggs, croissants, toast with 3 different kinds of bread, cereals, variety of nuts, yoghurts, fresh sliced fruit and fruit with skin still on and fruit juice. Really, what else would you expect for £10? Our dinner of sirloin steak with chips, beefsteak tomato, mushroom and onion rings was delicious My only gripes were the bed was too firm (but someone else might find that comfy) and the meringue on the pavlova was too crunchy and dry to my taste The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble My dog was made welcome. There were well kept grounds to walk her. I would definitely stay again

"Poor breakfast"
Excursion54013261797, 24 Juin 2019

A very poor standard of breakfast is served here with nothing other than fried eggs offered on a Sunday with your cooked breakfast. I asked for poached eggs on toast but was told “we don't offer that on a Sunday. I could have had continental instead but there were no meats, cheese or rolls offered just the days before pastries and fruit platter that wasn't refreshed. Avoid eating here on a Sunday would be my advice

"Tribute Night"
Jet66743848542, 18 Juin 2019

We attended a Tribute night at Weston Hall Hotel and decided to make a night of it, we were very impressed with the hotel overall, food was amazing and the staff were fantastic. We had a beautiful breakfast in the morning too

"A secret hideaway with stately home grandeur"
Vicki W, 16 Juin 2019

We have stayed at this hotel now on four separate occasions. The food whether its from the restaurant or bar is always top class. the staff are friendly and service is second to none. the hotel is full of character, the rooms homely if not palatial in some and you...like us will make this your go to hotel when you want to get away from it all.

"Nice Hotel In The Middle Of Nowhere!"
Carolina05, 16 Juin 2019

Nice hotel, quite difficult to find though. We were there for a birthday party & then stayed over at the hotel. Room was clean with a comfy bed & decent size bathroom & there were ample amenities in the room. Room was small & we had to climb over the bed to get to the other side of it but other than that, it was OK. We were asked to leave the party room at 12 midnight (fair enough), so a few of us who wanted to party on decamped to the bar area. Alas, about an hour later we were kicked out of the bar as well as all the staff were going home. This has never happened to me in any hotel : as long as there are residents in the bar, service has always been provided until guests go to bed. We were disappointed by this action & thought it a poor show. Unlikely to return anyway to this hotel as it was a party we were attending with an overnight stay.

"Charming Country House"
Trail64026292405, 14 Juin 2019

Charming Country House, set in a peaceful location that is convenient for the local area. Staff were very friendly and helpful and although the property had classic charm the amenities provided were modern and the bedrooms had recently been refurbished.

"Sons Wedding"
telephon3, 11 Juin 2019

Sons wedding reception was near the hotel stayed two nights it was great beautiful grounds log fire very attentive all staff made guests feel so welcome. breakfast was beautiful THANK YOU to you all to make our visit so enjoyable

"Mixed bag!"
Loveallthingsspanish, 27 Mai 2019

I have stayed here a couple of times recently, knowing that I was going to, decided to review after 2nd visit. The first point to make is the staff I encountered were all extremely helpful and friendly. My first room was absolutely tiny, and not really a double room, you could barely walk round the bed, the full length mirror was behind the hangers! The room was quite dark as the window was small and in part encased by Ivy. It was also a warm evening and the room was hot and stuffy, and the fan provided was noisy, this I was told was a standard size, but I would certainly have been disappointed if this had been a trip with my wife to get a room this small. On my second visit, I was given a lovely big room which was really nice and although it was warm the largeness of the room meant it was cool enough to sleep comfortably. The 2 dinners I had were a disappointment and extremely average, on the first visit (from the bar menu) I went for onion soup, which was served tepid, and not oniony enough, my main was the beef Souzoukaklia type of dish, which was extremely dry, this was served with a Greek salad, which seemed to include lots of lettuce for some reason, as this is not part of a Greek salad and some potatoes . so average was the verdict, on the next visit I tried the 2 course set menu from the restaurant for £19.50, i was one of only 2 diners in the restaurant, but my starter of pressed ham hock terrine and piccalilli was Ok but took over 30 minutes to arrive, my main of chicken supreme was a chicken breast again a bit over cooked covered in mustard, served with a pile of microwaved vegetables, we have Jersey Royals in season, and maybe some more interesting vedg, just all rather plain Jayne! On one of my other nights I walked to a nearby pub in the village (15 mins) and did enjoyed a nicer meal than these two. Breakfast on the other hand was excellent, a great selection of cereals and fresh fruits and yoghurt, and hot food cooked to order which is so nice in these days of “buffet breakfasts” so as my review title implies a mixed bag.

"Citytrip Coventry"
giraflor, 18 Mai 2019

Nice hotel with bar magnificent garden. Very quiet surrondings. Gal and Michelle are really attending hosts with good advice. We had a smalle bedroom overlooking garden with renovated bathroom. Finish of bathroom was not overwelming. But served purpose. Diner with lots of vegetables.

"Awful"
donnalynno, 05 Mai 2019

No heating so absolutely freezing. There was a wedding so could not get into the bar. Went to the restaurant and was told to return in 15 minutes although there was nobody in there. When we did return they gave our food to another couple who had to bring it over to us. Couldn't eat there tonight as it doesn't open on a Sunday! Heating still not working. Have given us a small blow heater (not great as I'm asthmatic). Heating also not working in corridors or restaurant area (they have a portable heater in there!). It's a shame because food we did eat was lovely and some of the staff are very helpful but could not possibly recommend. Listed as a 3 star hotel but more like a hostel!

"Always use B W hotels"
JillyMSC, 30 Avril 2019

And this one is a good comfortable place that was ideal for out visit to the Midlands. Breakfast was a freshly cooked and a good selection. Our room was nice and staff friendly. We like Best Western hotels as you kno what you are going to get. Always great locations and comfortable

"Lovely, relaxing stay with wonderful food and service."
Wendy O, 28 Avril 2019

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel enhanced by great staff service and food. (Both meals were a substantial size, cooked and presented perfectly. However we were the only ones eating in the bar as it was the Tuesday after Easter bank holiday). We would be very happy to return to this hotel. It is true the hotel is dark inside with wood panelling but I would say that this is keeping with the period in which the house was built. I would also reiterate what a previous reviewer has written. Do not accept room 1. It comes as a standard double room but is extremely compact. We rejected it (as a result of reading trip advisor and because it as so small) and was promptly given another room which was almost twice the size but the same price. Another reviewer has written that the service staff stand outside it and have conversations as it has a storage/service room opposite. This is also what we experienced and it was early in the morning and the conversations were loud. As we weren't in the room we didn't complain but the previous reviewer did and was told that staff would be spoken to. Obviously this has not happened or they have chosen to ignore recommendations.

"Great Breakfast, Great Service but Leaves a lot to Desire"
RCXN, 17 Avril 2019

The hotel looks lovely from the outside but the decor is very dated, the rooms were small and the bed was horrendous. All the staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice for hot or cold. Failed to have a good nights sleep during my stay, its fair to say the mattress was probably supplied by the local builders yard. Unfortunately i wouldn't stay here again, the great service and food was let down by the poor nights sleep.

"Shabby"
Bernie P, 13 Avril 2019

Afternoon tea for about 30 guests. Bar area very dark and shabby. Venue very cold. Some guests were vegetarian and when asked about vegetarian sandwiches the elderly waitress just scanned the platter and pointed at the ones she thought were vegetarian!! They were mixed in with the meat ones. There was not enough sandwiches. The cakes were ok although the scones were like rocks and you needed a saw to cut them. The tea cup I had was dirty and a ring of congealed milk inside. When we asked for refills it seemed a lot to ask! This is the 2nd time I have been here for different events and both times very dissappointing. Not value for money.

"Expensive drinks "
stephaniewH8988VA, 06 Avril 2019

Went to one of the comedy dinners, the food was ok, the entertainment was good but what really ruins the night was how expensive the drinks are, being slightly stubborn, I didn't drink much. Doing this, in my opinion is why people take their own drinks in!!!!!!

"Sunday Lunch"
Keith B, 31 Mars 2019

Party of 9 persons enjoyed a typical Roast sunday lunch. Menue was varied, with plenty of options. After selecting our food we were led into the Dinning Room to our well laid out table. The food was very good, and the staff pleasant. Could not ask for any more.

"Amazing presentation"
helenosborne49, 31 Mars 2019

Came here today for mother's day with my parents and two children. The building itself is beautiful , then as for the staff and the guy on the reception desk was lovely and very chatty. They knew everything about the history ect!The food was scrumptious and so well presented for the money only costing £20 something, which is totally worth the money 100%.The toilets were also very clean and spotless. Will come back again some time possibly for easter.

"Always have to chase Best Western points!"
Steven B, 25 Mars 2019

Really frustrating that I stayed at the hotel recently, spoke to the manager about BW points and then find myself seven days later chasing the points direct with BW because the manager had failed to get these added on. Don't advertise to be part of the Best Western group if you don't add the points!!!

"Overnight stay, things need improving"
MrsKF, 20 Mars 2019

Stayed overnight before attending a function at NEC, venue suitable for a meet up with friends. I booked through an agent, on arrival I was asked re breakfast and explained I was leaving early so was offered a takeaway breakfast, no one explained the reception would be unmanned in morning, so no advice on how to settle bill for dinner or how to get out !! Room small but adequate, however window not fitting made it chilly. Decent hospitality tray. Bar not staffed, meal cremated so sent it back. Waiting staff pleasant but inefficient, not good that we ordered drinks and waited 20 minutes. When I found my way out the next morning I was advised by a fellow guest to leave my key card at reception and extras would be charged to credit card obviously I didn't realise this was if you booked direct with hotel. Received e mail next day asking me to contact hotel re unpaid bill which I did immediately, paid and explained how check in proceedure needs improving. Good free parking and wifi. Rooms could do with update.

"Overnight stay "
REH67, 17 Mars 2019

We stayed as a family for one night using 3 rooms. 2 were a good size but 1 was very small, all clean and well presented. Reception very friendly and helpful. Bar good and bad snacks tasty. Night entrance ok but could do with better lighting. Breakfasts good but the breakfast waitress is quite abrupt and inpatient

"Sunday Lunch"
chattyswan, 03 Mars 2019

Very nice Sunday lunch. 3 course meal for £18.95 pp. Coffee at extra cost . Choice of starter, main course and pudding. Plenty of meat with the main course with extra gravy and vegetables served on the side.

lorraine n, 23 Février 2019

I read previous reviews & was a little concerned but I have to say yes my room was small but it had a ironing board & iron plenty of space to hang clothes tea coffee biscuits etc can't really moan most people stay in these type of places usually 1 or 2 nights so please give small places like this some credit. From the outside it looks lovely romantic & I can't really fault the inside yes the service was a little slow but the staff were brilliant & when you are away from home it's supposed to be relaxing so chill & enjoy Would recommend My only problem was the best in the room so hot we thought we had turned the heating down but no that really is my only issue breakfast was top notch

"Nice location"
Dreamer16978450464, 22 Février 2019

Very nice location, attractive hotel, inside is a tired, could do with an update. Room was clean, hotel staff were very friendly, very reasonable room rate, really wouldn't hesitate in staying there again.

"Beautiful anor house l"
dawnsharp2017, 13 Février 2019

This wonderful building could be so much more if best westen / owners were to invest in this potential little gold mine. Great Manor style building with the whoo factor as you approach.. Excellent value for money as the rooms conly achieve corporate rates . Rooms are well equipped, clean but tired l We had a Lovely stay, ,friendly staff,, excellent breakfast .

"Sorry, but not a good experience at all"
411beng, 06 Février 2019

I feel a review is needed, to be honest I would be hard pressed to rebook, and here are the reasons: - check in took about 20 mins (including someone before us), seems like an archaic system rather than something optimised, but fine. - rooms were tiny! Thankfully I am tall so could put luggage on top of the wardrobe. - drinks (dinner) & breakfast meal were delivered wrong - bar is seldom staffed, despite there being around 20 ppl in there. - bed is incredibly soft, but this is down to personal preference so each to their own. Basically it feels like this place is stuck in the dark ages. It looks lovely and regal from the outside but inside very dated. Very much a place to come back to when very tired & just pass out I'm afraid.

"Old world charm"
Boomerang52, 05 Février 2019

stayed 2 nights while visiting friends. Value for money was very good the staff were friendly and lovely warm welcoming fires in the lounge and bar areas. The room was clean and a good size and the breakfast's were excellent. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

"Staff Great"
IJohnson27, 17 Janvier 2019

Attended last night for a business meeting today. Very impressive hotel, staff really nice and friendly. I had a couple of beers in the bar, real fire and lots of old wood panelling, good selection of beers. I ate in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. I had a large portobello mushroom with goats cheese and beef stroganoff for a main. I found the food to be very nice and tasty and well cooked. My room was a little small but well appointed and clean. The walls are thin and you can hear other rooms. For the price, I would definitely stay again.

"Lovely place to stay"
Jay P, 15 Janvier 2019

When I entered the hotel i was a bit put off by the decor, it is very old fashioned with lots of wood paneling and heavily patterned wallpaper but I quickly realised that it was a lovely place. The staff were really helpful and polite. The food was great. The room was clean. The shower was powerful and hot. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area as it as set off a quiet residential estate away from major road traffic.

"Christmas Lunch"
Lez1952, 06 Janvier 2019

We spent a lovely family Christmas at Weston Hall , table looked beautiful and there were wrapped presents on the table for us to open and share. The meal consisted of five courses all of which were beautifully presented and tasted lovely. The service was very good with enough time between courses so that you didn't feel rushed. We were also asked if we were ready for the sweet in case we needed longer. All together we had a really good Christmas Day family lunch. The cost was only consistent with what other places charge but well worth it. Would defiantly go again.

"New Years eve"
tempus1, 05 Janvier 2019

We join the party every New Year's Eve because we enjoy the food and the music. Not so this year. Food and service was good but our table was positioned so that we had no view of the band or dance floor. As the numbers participating this year were lower I'd have thought they could have better placed the tables so that everyone had a view. It was the music that really spoilt it for us. We expected a mixture of swing and modern classics, that's what has been played in previous years, what we got was 1 hour swing then 1 hour of soul and funk with a female singer who couldn't sing, and a DJ playing 80's and upward music, considering the average age group there was 60 plus I don't think they catered to the majority. I did Email Weston hall afterwards, but received no reply, hence this post. It was an expensive night and we left feeling very disappointed and underwhelmed. Rant over.

"Panto Murder Mystery Night"
Soomacdoo, 28 Décembre 2018

We have been to a few Murder Mystery nights and Weston Hall and they have always been a really good night out. However, the PantoCrime before Christmas was just awful, and it was the worst Murder Mystery I have ever been to. The team that normally put on the productions at Weston Hall are a really good team and know what they are doing but the PantoCrime players were dreadful, their script was dreadful, they weren't funny and it just went on far too long. We were begging for the disco to be started early just so that we didn't have to listen to the players screeching into their microphones anymore. Once the disco started the evening improved dramatically and a good time was had by all. The meal was OK, not exactly fine dining but far better that most Christmas do meals. The rooms were good for the money, and breakfast was superb as usual.

"Dinner "
JBart14, 27 Décembre 2018

I visited here in early december. My first thoughts upon arrival were about the building. It is an old gothic building which has been restored slightly and the grounds of the hotel are stunning. However the interior of the hotel is quite old fashioned and in need of some renovation. I came here for a meal and a catchup with my father. As you would expect in a hotel the prices of drinks are very expensive, £4.35 for a pint of San Miguel is in my opinion not cheap and for a poor quality, bottom of the barrel pint I was not impressed. I ordered the steak which in fairness was very good, it was cooked medium (the right way) and it was very nice. However on the other hand the chips were rock hard, undercooked and this was the same for my dad aswell. This was disappointing, otherwise a good meal for a reasonable price which was £18 plus drinks.

"Lovely hotel and great value for money"
FWG_11, 13 Décembre 2018

Stayed here before a trip to the Ricoh, great location. Loved the hotel, very cosy and superb value for money. Would stay again, all the staff were really friendly the building is a beautiful old country house and the food in the restaurant was lovely

"Disappointing festive afternoon tea"
Mmyrtle, 02 Décembre 2018

We visited for the Festive afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon with great expectations as my wife had attended for afternoon tea previously. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Although the sandwich selection was varied and fresh, they were presented on a crowded platter with some squashed in on top of others. It would have been more attractive and satisfying if we were served individual platters. It was clear from the start that all the patisserie items were bought in. Again a crowded presentation with far too many cakes for the average appetite. The scones were served cold as if they had just been retrieved from a refrigerator. The clotted cream was also refrigerated and difficult to spread. All of the other cakes were chilled too and not pleasant to eat. When making representation to a manager in the hotel he was apologetic for the temperature of the scones and agreed that these should have been served warmed. He then went to talk to the kitchen staff and came back to ‘reassure' us that all the cakes had been made in the hotel. My wife is in catering herself and pointed out that the mince pies were too consistent to have been home made and that you could see the marks on the side of the cupcakes where the case had been removed. The ‘manager' then said that he would see what he could but didn't return. When attending at reception to pay for the meal we were advised that they had removed the cost of one of the teas but even so were very disappointed with the whole experience of the afternoon. For an afternoon tea costing £16.95 per person we expected more.

"Very Poor afternoon tea."
MalcGurnham, 28 Novembre 2018

My wife visited with friends for afternoon tea and came home distraught at how terrible it was, nothing was fresh, poor selection action of sandwiches and although the cakes were plentiful, they appeared to be neither fresh or home made as advertised. When they complained all they were met by was shrugging shoulders, and it wasn't exactly cheap either. After this very poor experience we shall be telling all our friends to avoid this establishment in future.

"NOISE NOISE NOISE "
rebeccamM1702ZI, 24 Novembre 2018

Rented a deluxe bedroom, great furniture inside was lovely however I COULD HEAR THE CONVERSATION OF THE PERSON NEXT DOOR. IN FULL. It was awful ... Party was on late so music didn't subside until early hours. I paid over £100 for this room for an anniversary and I could hear the whole conversation in the next room. Ridiculous.. all I can say!! I wanted a good quiet nights sleep, if I wanted to hear conversations and music I would have chose a party. Can also hear the people below and above me.

"Pleasant surprise"
Curly_Kale64, 22 Novembre 2018

I stayed at the hotel for a few days in October for business purposes. I arrived late but received a warm welcome nonetheless. My room on the ground floor (Room 11) was comfortable and spacious with an en-suite which looked like it had been recently re-modelled. The rainfall shower was very nice. There was a tea and coffee tray with complementary bottled water, numerous teabags, sachets of coffee, biscuits and even a Cuppa Soup sachet, all of which were replenished on a daily basis. Housekeeping was good on the whole. Breakfast was made-to-order each morning and of a high standard. I also had dinner at the hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was reasonably good and very fairly priced. It is quite an old-fashioned hotel but charming and comfortable. I would stay again.

"Oldfashioned done well"
PanamaHat1989, 08 Novembre 2018

I stayed one night at this place for business and was very pleased for what I paid. No doubt about it, is an olde-worlde hotel but all the more characterful and warming for it. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern touches in a traditional room such as sockets with usb fittings and a lovely brand new smart tv. Also a cuppa soup on the tea tray- little touch but much appreciated after a long journey. The room was comfortable but the bed was hard and the room a little cold, the fan heater found in the wardrobe was needed. Lovely modern bathroom with rainfall shower. The gentleman at reception was very friendly, and the lady providing the restaurant service was excellent- I got a really warm family vibe. Beautiful fresh English food in the restaurant from a very reasonably priced set menu. It certainly makes a welcome change from a big chain hotel when on business. I would book again if in the area.

"Went for afternoon tea"
Tracey B, 06 Novembre 2018

A group of 16 people to say goodbye to a collegue. If you like fruit cake your ok, walnut cake, yay no fruit, egg shell instead. Poor variety of sandwiches. When staff made aware of egg shell, walnut cake removed and was told well it is home made. Great discount given lol £6

"Wedding afternoon tea"
clairej08, 03 Novembre 2018

We had a wonderful experience for our wedding afternoon tea. The care and attention the staff had taken to dress the table was lovely and it looked beautiful. Staff are caring , helpful and really friendly.

"Grease meets Dirty Dancing"
Trudy N, 22 Octobre 2018

Looks nice. Plenty of parking. The show was excellent and the dj was good. However, the staff are rude and surly, the food was cold and quite inedible. What a shame. The guy on the desk as we left was particularly rude and very unpleasant. Never again

"Its OK"
Roy B, 19 Octobre 2018

Dispel illusions that you will be staying in the gorgeous building as you park the car. 99% of the hotel is tagged onto the back of the house hidden from view. Poisitives first, stayed in room 11 which was large and clean, great bathroom which may have been updated recently. Shower was powerful. Negatives were that the matress was absolutely knackered, hardly any sleep for 2 nights and a bad back. Reception did give me another duvet to double up and try to make bed comfy. Walls thin and can hear other rooms. Bar food was a bit meh, chips lukewarm and more like baked rather than fried, fish tiny. I've seen best and worst of best western but this sits in the average. Would of been 4 stars but for the mattress. Handy for the Ricoh, only 20 mins drive away

"Nice stay, needs attention here and there"
G5734BYlucap, 18 Octobre 2018

Wonderful location, well kept and preserved building, good food both at restaurant and bar. Very king personnel in all locations. My room was clean and confortable, small but ok for such an old inn. Anyhow, the bathroom was in poor shape, my shower distributor valve frozen on full-hot water, the closet was squeaky and difficult to open and close. Excellent wifi.

"Good place for an overnight stay."
Anthony M, 16 Octobre 2018

I stayed at Weston Hall as I was attending a conference in the area. I had never stayed here before so I didn't know what to expect. The welcome at reception was warm and I was sorted within a few minutes. The room was nice and big enough for my needs. The en suite was clearly new and the shower was good. The bar staff were very friendly and the bar food was very tasty. The mattress was firm and slept like a log, very quiet during the night. All in all I will certainly be back as I am often in this area.

"Ideal for a school reunion"
Lorraine C, 07 Octobre 2018

We meet in the Midlands for our annual school reunion and we held it at the Weston Hall hotel for the second year running, after trying several other places in previous years. We went back again because the staff really took care to make us comfortable the first year. And we had the same warm experience this time, too. They set up private dining for us in the beautiful library for our anniversary dinner and we had the freedom of the bar area and the lounge for other social activities. The meals were excellent and always served with a smile! Although the venue is popular for weddings these are held in a separate section so we had no problems with noise. Plenty of good free parking - not always the case with some hotels. So good that we have booked for 2019 already! One tip: for an event phone the hotel directly to make your personal arrangements.

"Suitable for an overnight stay. "
R1chardN, 06 Octobre 2018

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast deal as a overnight stay to break our journey. It was a good price and comfortable enough. It is an old Manor House and decorated appropriately. It was a bit dark but clean enough and the entrance hall, lounge bar etc well sized. Our room was was spacious with a four poster bed. We had booked a king size bed and were told that it was. The bed was okay (although it did feel narrower than we are used to). It is a quiet location. The bathroom was quite small with just enough room for a shower over the bath, washbasin and toilet. The hotel obviously offers theme evenings, weddings and other than that I think it is used to catering for business travellers mainly. I say that as the room felt as if it had been set up for one occupant (and the other guests were a give away). Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were on the better side of okay. Servings were plentiful. Michelle looked after us admirably especially at dinner when they were short staffed.

"Could Do Better"
Anna F, 04 Octobre 2018

I came to Weston Hall as part of a family wedding at the end of September. The outside of the hall (from the front) is beautiful and the bar area and reception are nicely old fashioned too, however the further back you go in the venue the worse it gets with a hideous modern extension tacked on the back. The wedding reception ran fairly smoothly and the staff were mostly very good (apart from one waitress who couldn't be trusted with a bowl of soup) however there were too many elements that were not quite up to scratch. The worst element though was the wedding breakfast. The soup may have been tomato or perhaps carrot and coriander, it was a total mystery in terms of flavour but at least it was edible, nowever thr beef roast dinner presented as a main was not. The beef was dry, potatoes burnt on the outside and raw in the middle, undercooked veg, a chewy Yorkshire all topped with a tiny spoonful of gravy. Given how much the bride and groom had paid for the food i felt bad for them. The rest of the day went quite smoothly, although the bar prices were extortionate and the service was very slow. The hot roast buffet at end of the evening wasn't great either although the bowls of crackling were great. Overall not a bad evening but the venue could much better.

"Nice building , poor room"
Clarky2424, 03 Octobre 2018

Stayed 2nd October, can't speak for all the rooms, but mine was smelly, small and not value for money ! It's a lovely building, lovely quiet area, free parking and free WiFi! However the rest is pretty poor and although the staff do their best and are friendly, there is a real faulty towers feel about the place, shame, just needs a bit of a facelift and some soul .

"Wedding"
anissa952018, 05 Septembre 2018

We have recently got married at Weston hall and stayed there for 2 nights, the night prior to the wedding and the night of the wedding. I can't say how amazing our day was and how amazing all of the staff were! They were absolutely incredible and helped make our day special. The bridal suite was fantastic, very old tradition and beautiful! I'm gutted the stay is over and I would highly recommend Weston hall to anyone! I don't know how anybody else can say different. I want to thank you all again for all of your help and making my day so special! ????

"Peaky Blinders late party lowered the score I would have given"
L9816MYbobr, 27 Août 2018

Stayed there for two nights in August and the stay clashed with a Peaky Blinders night (they all looked fabulous and seemed to have a great time partying). No party pooper me but I could have done with a better night's sleep on the first night; second night was fine (the party goers had peaked and gone). Had a decent meal there.

"Peaky Blinders"
jane1621, 25 Août 2018

Fantastic night. The room at this hotel was lovely clean and very comfortable. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was 5 star as was the service. The location of this hotel is beautiful and we would highly recommend.

"Afternoon Tea"
Helend32, 24 Août 2018

Brought my 9yr old daughter for Afternoon tea as a birthday treat. We had a super time and she felt so grown up in the lovely surroundings. The food was stunning and well presented and the staff was very welcoming. Would definately recommend.

"Really Wanted to Love this place"
Annielou11, 04 Août 2018

Had a 2 night stay and on arrival loved the look of this hotel. Lovely exterior and gardens. Welcoming reception but then things changed a notch. My room was on the ground floor and i can honestly say it was one of the worst rooms i have ever been given. it was tiny and felt like it should be a room the staff use when staying over. I expressed my distaste with the reception staff and thankfully was given another room. This was much better and had space for me to work as well as being much better decorated and felt welcoming. Unfortunately the wifi would not work so I had to go to the lounge to be able to update my workload. The gentleman on morning reception said he would get his IT man to have a look but this made no difference. First night evening meal was acceptable but on the second night I had to return my lasagne as it was barely warm. This came back much better but did take a while. I did not use the breakfast service as i had early starts. I really wanted to like the place more but the best i can do is say average...sorry

"Dissatisfied"
Frederick H, 29 Juillet 2018

My wife and myself who are in our late seventies were given a ground floor room it was room 9 which wasn't big enough to swing a cat around also the bed was only thee quarter size not double so we hardly had any sleep all night which we had paid for at £70 a night without breakfast the bathroom had no bath only a shower and the décor badly in need of refurbishment. The only good thing in my estimation about the hotel is the breakfast and at £10 a shot is not cheap. Most certainly will not go back its the worst hotel we have ever stayed at I would not recommend.

"Very comfortable "
alang684, 29 Juillet 2018

A last minute booking that exceeded our expectations. Lovely country hotel in nice grounds. Welcoming reception, followed by a quiet nightcap in the comfortable bar. Good sized room , excellent shower . Plenty of choice for breakfast with cheerful service followed by coffee in the garden. Overall a nice hotel, I think we will stay here again.

"Lovely hotel"
Leila A, 26 Juillet 2018

Had a lovely weekend stay here, staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely clean room and a very good breakfast, and very nice grounds. Hotel situated in quiet surroundings. Will definitely consider staying there again.

"1st Stay at a BW Hotel"
RussBMW, 20 Juillet 2018

Would I stay here again = NO, staff not very helpful as a Diamond select I expected more. this has put me off staying at Best Western hotels again. Dinner on first night wasn't even what I ordered but eat it anyway, day 2 had a sandwich which wasn't anything like the description on the menu.

"looks great as you pull in , but its not"

6 of us and 6 other guests in restaurant for evening meal - the service was painfully slow, to the extent that we couldnt wait any longer for our deserts - 2.5 hours to eat a 2 course meal! And actually the food wasnt that great either... My room was really tired looking, and smelt of damp Such a shame.....

"Worst ever"
mw77772018, 18 Juillet 2018

Writing this as I speak. First (& last) time at this hotel. It looks lovely & charismatic as you drive up. I was then welcomed by receptionist stating to me ‘oh no, more guests to check in' . Not being humourous, she meant it. Room too small to turn around in & very dated, splintered wooden furniture sticky carpets etc. Bathroom has been renovated and clean & functional. I'm now in the dining room having been told to move tables as the one I was given is already set for breakfast (at 7:50pm). Have just waited 45 minutes for melon & Parma ham starters, that arrived without Parma ham. Waitresses all over the place, the Chef must be even worse! I've now had another 15 minutes wait for my main course. I may as well move back to to breakfast table as my dinner will probably arrive at 8am at this rate. Ps. I DONT USUALLY DO HOTEL REVIEWS. It's just that this one is so very poor, I have to save others. Run whilst you can.

"Lovely old manor house in beautiful grounds."
thenewmans2016, 18 Juillet 2018

This is a beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. We arrived about 10pm and received a very warm welcome from the duty manager. She gave us a short tour of the building, explaining the history of the building and was clearly passionate about the manor house. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Fresh fruit and pastries. Freshly made teas and coffees & home made jams Room was very comfortable. This is not a modern building but a beautiful old manor house and is well worth a visit. We had freshly made coffee in the grounds before we left. The gardens are beautiful.

Very helpful staff who are happy to assist even out of hours [though they are v busy] they offer excellent bar food, good range of snacks, breakfast very good, provided packed lunch on request, room nice in old part of hotel, bed comfortable, very clean, overall a slightly quirky but very nice place to stay. Grounds are beautiful.

"Dirty dancing and greece"
skipdog95, 03 Juillet 2018

Went for night here with friends to watch dirty dancing and Greece what a shame this was spoilt by them not putting the air conditioning on the room was full to capacity and so so hot we spent more time outside cooling down food was quiet nice but very disorganised and also very short staffed at the bar therefore will not be attending any more shows also the disco after the show was terrible

"One night"
Marcia T, 11 Juin 2018

I have not stayed at a Best Western hotel for some years and decided to try this hotel. As I approached the hotel, I was surprised by the well kept grounds and beautiful flowers displayed in front of a historical looking country building. Check-in was smooth and quick. My key card was ready for me on arrival. The member of staff was friendly and efficient. The complimentary tea and coffee included hot chocolate and a tomato soup. The soup was definitely a nice gesture, which I enjoyed. The room was small, neat and very comfortable. My only criticism is that my bedroom walls were a little thin. So light sleepers should bare this in mind as they might have an issue. I was woken up by my neighbour at 6 am, when they exited their bedroom. Continental breakfast was included. The selection was adequate. I ordered porridge, it was a little thick and the presentation could have been better, but it tasted okay with a little honey. The waitress was friendly and seemed nice, but I would have preferred to choose where I wanted to sit. I would recommend this hotel because the staff were friendly and it was a nice place.

"A hotel of contrasts"
Silver B, 14 Mai 2018

The hotel is very beautiful with lots of parking the food was very nice good service. The chicken Parm'igiana is top class lovely gardens and quiet surrounding. Now the room was slightly different it was clean but small I booked a double but I've stayed in bigger singles. The ensuite was half the size of the room. Very nice ensuite except the shower head was so scaled only a drizzle of water came out back after cleaning it it was ok. The towel are proper size towel not hand towels. If it wasn't for the size of the room and the shower it would have been a lovely stay.

"Impressed, best hotel in the area"
mtmag, 11 Mai 2018

After staying in several nearby hotels with very mixed standards it was refreshing to stay at Weston Hall, the staff from check in to check out were excellent and friendly. Food and drink a very good standard, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Local amenities very good with a variety of shops nearby, including a few really good takeaways. I have moved all my future bookings to Weston Hall as it is by far the best I have found and offers excellent value for money. I now look forward to visiting again in a few weeks. Well done to all the staff at the Hotel and thank you

"Typical Poor Best Western service"
Hayley P, 11 Mai 2018

Arrived at hotel for 1pm and was checked in early, gentlemen said I could order bar food as I was hungry. I said my colleague would be joining me later that afternoon as well and asked if the restaurant would be open then he explained bar food was available but the restaurant didn't open until 7pm, which was fine I said I'll grab bar food later as well. I ordered soup & sweet potato fries just after I checked in which was lovely, gentleman who served me was very attentive and welcoming. I met my colleague later that day at around 5.30-6.00pm in the bar, the receptionist lady said we could use the daily menu as well as the bar menu at this time which gave us more options. We made our selection and then tried to order and the lady behind the bar said we couldn't order food for another 40min as the chef had only just come in, even though I managed to have soup & sweet potato fries earlier in the day. We only had 1 hour before myself and my colleague had to leave that evening for work so we had nothing to eat and headed to work on an empty stomach. Not impressed. Typical unreliable service I come to expect from Best Western so wasn't surprised. Rooms clean & comfortable although shabby, breakfast ok. Grounds of hotel are nice the rest is stuck in a time warp. Appreciated the cup-a-soup in my room.

"Won't return"
LTID74, 10 Mai 2018

Staff were friendly enough and the place looked beautiful from the outside, Warwickshire Hot Pot was lovely too, that's it! Very dated and smells old throughout. Very dusty at the bar and in some communal areas. Bed hard as were the pillows, not good for a great nights sleep!

"Best hotel in Bulkington"
Juett77, 02 Mai 2018

There's nothing really, awfully wrong with this hotel, and the staff try their very best, but that's in fact the problem. This hotel is very understaffed, to the point I felt quite sorry for the small team who looked visibly exhausted trying to do everything. The wait for food was quite severe, and the bar was at times totally vacant of any servers for long periods, but this was because the employees were manning reception, waiting in the other restaurant and helping with baggage all at the same time in addition to this! Just one or two extra pairs of hands would have made all the difference. That being said, the staff are very pleasant and courteous, and the food was quite tasty when it arrived. Its likely a management\\staffing issue rather than quality of service. Another small point to bare in mind is that the walls can be a little thin in some of the rooms, so light sleepers might have an issue if someone has the TV a little loud or gets up to pee at 3am. Overall, we do stay here once a year for business, but only because there is nowhere else better, and because the staff are very friendly and polite considering their (at times) testing workloads.

"A Lovely Little Hotel."
Lyn R, 25 Avril 2018

We spent one night here last weekend. The room was very nice , quiet and comfortable , if a little small. We had paid for a superior double and expected a little more room. However overall I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were all excellent . Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Even located safety pins for our wedding button holes. The breakfast was hot and well cooked. I would re visit if ever in the area.

"Not good"
benson1977, 20 Avril 2018

First and last time I stay at this hotel. I stay a lot for business in the area. My the Lady at breakfast is nothing but rude. Breakfast here is a cluster joke. Staff not friendly at all. Hotel is lovely from outside. Front desk never staffed. Rooms need updating. I think the Ladies name at breakfast was Michelle and I have to say she was rude and needs some attention to detail. People before me sat down. Their breakfast order taken before me. Really rude staff. I will never stay at this hotel again due to the rude waiter staff. Put some customer focus in. Respect your guests paying over £65 a night and get this hotel in order. I would rather pay half the money and stay at a travel lodge where the staff are so much more friendly.

""Away""
shopkaz56, 08 Avril 2018

Just really nice from arriving to leaving..faultless...fresh room...speedy delivery of food...attention to detail at breakfast...struggled with wifi..and our room had no view..which was a shame..but..even the wall we saw was clean and beautifully pointed ??...looking forward to being "away" again....??

"Mother's Day Stay"
girlnamedmollymae, 16 Mars 2018

I booked this hotel via a recommendation from a relative. The hotel grounds were stunning and a very spacious car park. We stayed on a Saturday night and wasn't too busy. The reception staff weren't very helpful and basically told us to read the information ourselves. We opted out of putting a card on file to put drinks on the room, however we were charged for drinks that weren't bought by us. The bedrooms were pretty small considering we booked with a 7 month old child, a travel cot just fitted between a double bed and single. The bathroom was great and looked newly refurbished however the bedroom was slightly outdated but comfortable. We had breakfast included with the room and the spread was amazing! The breakfast staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much hassle. Overall I would stay here again when visiting family, but would probably ask if there is a bigger room.

"Not a great stay"
kevinrburrows, 15 Mars 2018

Shabby room , board for a bed , and a rattly generator outside the window equals very tired and dissatisfied guests. Reception offered a half hearted apology and shrugged his shoulders. Showed little interest. Very good breakfast and nice staff do not compensate for the rest of the hotel.!!!

"Beautiful hotel"
Fifitreehugger, 14 Mars 2018

Lovely spot, I am in agreement with a previous reviewer, re room allocations for booking.com .. it was a quiet Tuesday in March and we were allocated a top floor in a hidden corner room. Fortunately thats my type of room ..but I knew we were not getting a full price one.. that said its a beautiful old Hall , loved the room, food really good in the restaurant and the nicest staff -well done waitresses you were great.. Would I stay there again , yes, but not through booking.com...Im a big best western hotel fan but felt like a poor relation at the desk ... Room clean, bathroom lovely, creakiest old style bed ever and creaky stairs up to the ‘'tower'' Cant comment on breakfast on this occasion we did not partake.. Easy to find..

"Book direct"
Sharon S, 10 Mars 2018

This is the fourth hotel I've stayed in that I've booked through Bookings.com. I'm starting to come to the conclusion that hotels allocate their less desirable rooms to people who choose to do this rather than booking direct. The room was a strange one as you could see the bathroom had been updated and was very nice but it just didn't match the bedroom area as this looked tired and in need of a revamp. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat breakfast here but there seemed to be plenty of people in the dining area. Would I stay again, probably no.

"Nice Country Hotel for Leisure or Business, Close to Coventry or Leicester"
BritishTraveller53, 27 Février 2018

Have just spent a 2 night weekend break at Weston Hall. We stayed here for 3 nights last year and decided to return again. It is a lovely “Olde Worlde” hotel in a nice peaceful setting with attractive gardens. The food is well presented and tasty, with a good choice of dishes. As before, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Slightly miffed that the hotel lounge was barred to guests on the second evening, as it is such a relaxing setting to retire to after dinner, possibly for a coffee and maybe another drink or two. Would recommend upgrading to superior rooms, as they are spacious and well-appointed. This would be a nice location too, for anybody with business in the Coventry/Leicester/Nuneaton area, who wanted something a bit more pleasant than “Corporate Production Line” style hotels. Premier Inns might look cheaper, but try adding on the cost of a breakfast and an indifferent fast-food style meal to your “Room Only” rate and then compare the inclusive rates at Weston Hall. No choice really, is there? An extra couple of pounds is well worth it to stay at this fine hotel. We will probably be returning later this year.

"stayed here twice and had afternnon tea."
eddiet998, 07 Février 2018

stayed here twice and had afternnon tea. both times very enjoyable, I have also hired the private room with roaring log fire for an afternoon tea for 10 of us and it was lovely. highly recommended . great location.

"New Years Eve"
Carole C, 29 Janvier 2018

We booked for the New Years Eve event a couple of weeks before the event. We were delighted that we could be accommodated at such short notice Communication about the event was excellent and consisted of emails and phone conversations and even though we forgot to pre-order our mains the lady that called us to remind us to do so was really helpful and friendly. It was a black tie event and on the night everyone had dressed to impress. Having never seen the hotel before we were impressed with the presentation of it. Right from entering the hotel to leaving at 1:30 there were lots of really helpful professional staff. We could not fault the service all night, nothing was too much bother for them. On arrival we were served a glass of prosecco (we had 2 :) and then were shown into the main room. It was beautifully decorated and the tables looked fabulous. We are not the easiest family to accommodate as we have 2 vegetarians, 1 coeliac and 2 who eat meat and wheat but we were looked after fantastically well. The waiting staff checked everything with the kitchen before they served us and explained everything. Special diets can sometimes be overlooked in restaurants and often not the most appealing food is offered but the food here was great. So much effort had gone into the preparation and presentation neither me (the coeliac) or the veggies felt cheated. We had artisan canapes followed by starters, soup course, main course, desert, coffee and petit fours. The portions were huge, hot and delicious. The entertainment was equally as good as the rest of the event. A full orchestra with a Rat Pack style singer performed for the first half of the evening and that was followed by a disco on a slightly sunken lit up and sparkling dance floor. At midnight there was a count down, party poppers and exploding balloons containing ticker tape, Auld Lang Syne and more complementary bubbly. The disco went on until about 1:00am but we were not pushed out straight away and were able to finish our drinks before we got our taxi home. It was such a good night and although it was £85 per person it was worth every penny. I can not praise the hotel staff enough for their hard work and attention to detail at every stage from booking to leaving the building. We will most certainly be going to the hotel again next year for New Years Eve.

"Very pleasant hotel well worth a visit"
Kevingas1, 26 Janvier 2018

3 night business trips spent at this lovely old hotel. Very traditional and comfortable hotel. Rooms are not that big but are clean and tidy. More than adequate for a business trip. Staff are very accommodating especially those that dealt with serving at breakfast. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Meal choices were excellent though priced a tad in the higher range. The quality of the food though was first class. In places the hotel decor was a bit tired and in need of a bit of attention, so if you like brand spanking new this not for you but if you like character it certainly is.

"Superb staff, fantastic food, wonderful stay"
Rachael K, 13 Janvier 2018

We stayed here last night for one night. The food was outstanding and extremely good value for money. We are local and drive past here frequently as we live in the next town. In fact had our wedding reception here nearly 19 years ago so was quite nostalgic too! The feel to the hotel is very warm and friendly, we felt very welcome. The place was very clean and tidy and the room was very very comfortable. I don't often sleep well in hotels but I had a fantastic night sleep! We did not feel the drinks were over priced, everything was very reasonable. There was a wood burner in the bar area which added to a cosy feel and the seating was very comfortable. It was quiet and we just had a very relaxing and fantastic time. The staff clearly work very very hard yet were extremely friendly and helpful. They were very attentive and we could not have asked for more. Hoping to find another night where we can steal away here as it was so relaxing and enjoyable!

"Charlie's revisited "

Great night at the Charlie's night club reunion Drinks not over priced and bar staff friendly..... and music great....looking forward to the next one..... Only charged £5 entry fee.... well worth the money ????????????????????????????????

"Good hotel"
gelpaul6951, 19 Décembre 2017

This country house style hotel is very impressive from the outside. Inside it could do with a decor make-over things look tired and in need of updating. As the hotel is probably listed there is a limit as to what can be done, but a coat of paint would help. My stay was marred by a very low quality breakfast which, had I had time, I would have complained about at the time. The staff in the hotel were fantastic and I couldn't fault their dedication to their jobs.

"Christmas Party"
HenL87, 17 Décembre 2017

We attended as part of a group for a Christmas party with the Blues Brothers. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly. The rooms are a bit of a trek and there is no lift available at this hotel so be prepared for lots of flights of stairs. Our room was clean but a little cosy and can be a struggle to both get ready at the same time. The room was also quite dark so it was difficult to do make up and there was no main mirror in the bathroom which was the brightest room, only a shaving mirror. The bed was comfortable but there is a lot of noise through the night so it wasn't the most refreshing sleep. The food was lovely and service from our table's waiter was brilliant. He was really funny and helped to make our night better. The blues brothers were good fun and interacted with the crowds well.

"Christmas party"
Hannah K, 15 Décembre 2017

We stayed for 1 night for a Christmas party night with Work, it was a fantastic night the entertainment was the blues brothers they were good, The room was fantastic we had the executive double with jacuzzi bath fantastic and the bed was really comfortable. Definitely stay again.

"Value and service"
T3649OEarthurb, 05 Décembre 2017

We stayed just one night on a Sunday. A quiet evening. Staff - one lady generally - most helpful and efficient. Food was generous and tasty. Room was very comfortable. No complaints at all. Can recommend this hotel

"Gin and bear it"
bouydog, 03 Décembre 2017

Saturday night dinner dance. The staff did very well getting over 100 meals served, still hot and enjoyed by all. The dance floor was busy all night and most people seemed to be having a good time. Three stars given due to the drink prices £5.60 for a single gin and tonic, when I asked the barman to repeat the price even he said it was robbery.

"Extremely good value for money."
clarked46, 30 Novembre 2017

Large ground floor room with 4 poster bed and good facilities. Lots of quality well cooked food for breakfast. Well stocked bar with plenty of choice on snack menu. Did not have an evening meal although the menu looked fine. There was a function on one night but it was in a room at the back of the hotel and we did not hear any noise.

"Unprofessional management "
ssmith157, 19 Novembre 2017

Attended here today for lunch with some friends we meet up with once a month. Food overall was okay, restaurant staff very attentive only downside to the visit was the manager behind the desk and the manner he had towards his staff. I was standing in the bar area and could hear some cross words and to my shock realised it was the manager speaking to his staff. I felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation that I found myself going to stand outside to step away from it all. The two young girls that work there left in tears over the rude manner that he spoke to them. I found it very unprofessional that he was speaking to them in this manner in such a public place and personally think there is a time and place to deal with this. He then proceeded to bad mouth the girls when they had both left in ear shot of everyone in the reception area. All in all a lovely hotel but in my personal opinion think the manager needs sacking or retraining on how to speak to people.

"Beautiful Setting, Warm Welcome and Great Service"
MPT1967, 12 Novembre 2017

Set in an Old Manor House the Best Western Staff were exceptional. Warm welcoming and a great sense of humor. The setting is an Old Manor house. The rooms are a nice size, comfortable, but like the rest of the building looks a bit dated and tired. The staff provided a very warm welcome and their service could not be faulted. From the gentleman at reception to the lovely lady who welcomed us to breakfast (who'd worked there for 11 years), we felt welcomed and they could not do enough to make our stay a comfortable one. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of it available. Plenty of parking space and the grounds were very nice. Would definitely stay again.

"Our wedding day!"
Britanie P, 03 Novembre 2017

We recently had our wedding here, from the ceremony to the reception. the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Whilst we were having our photos taken, a male member off staff even went to get us complimentary drinks! The wedding breakfast and the evening buffet were cooked beautifully, the service was just all round brilliant. i would recommend this place to anyone!

"Possibly the worst hotel ever"
K3977SOjc, 23 Octobre 2017

Now, I've stayed in some pretty awful hotels in my time, but this one really surpasses anything I could imagine a hotel shouldn't be! Where to start - the rude chap on reception who had no interest in even acknowledging our presence when we tried to check in, the awful smelling damp room, and the less than welcoming spiders in the 'bar' area. We were given room 2 - upon our arrival to the room the corridor had a horrible musky smell, we didn't think the room could possibly smell any worse. Well, this hotel managed to surpass that mark. The instant smell of damp that hits you is awful, its cold, and the bedding I wouldn't expect my dog to sleep on it was so poor. The view out the window was non existent, just a load of crap dumped into some attached side shed to the hotel. Surely it couldn't get any worse? Oh boy, we entered the bathroom to find we had been booked into the disabled room. At no point on our booking did it warn us we could be in a disabled room, and frankly it is a joke that they even offer this room to human beings. It is an insult, disgusting and the worst room I have ever had the displeasure of stepping foot it. It's not fit for purpose, how you would expect someone who needs a wheelchair to get round the room is beyond me! Back to reception I went, were I was advised that the hotel was full. Eventually, we managed to convince them that this really isn't adequate for anyone to stay in and got a room upstairs. The room was still horrible, damp patches on the wall but slightly warmer and the bathroom was reasonable. We quickly changed and headed for the bar, laptops in hand. Unfortunately, it didn't get any better. The red sofas in the bar are the most uncomfortable bits of furniture I have ever sat on, half the plug points don't work and the cobwebs and spiders have the run of the place. On a positive, the female staff are lovely and really friendly. The chap who works there on the other hand needs to be moved onto something behind the scenes (spider captor maybe?), the most miserable, grumpy sad looking guy I've seen in a long time. He sums up this place, no soul and interest in engaging with anyone who walks through the door. Thankfully, we have black listed this hell hole from any future business visits - I would strongly suggest you do the same!! It's not even deserving of 1 star, it really is that bad!

"Don't even think about it"
Zerodeltawhisky, 28 Septembre 2017

I ended up here after making a last minute book and simply not having much choice. I ended up in Room 2, and before I'd even got to my room the receptionist made clear that they were full. My first impression of the room was a damp smell masked by large amounts of cleaner. I'm not sure why it was damp, but most likely because the bathroom does not have an extractor fan, so when you use the shower it creates so much steam that the net curtains stuck to the window in the bedroom even when the bathroom door is closed. The bathroom has all the equipment for people who are disabled, so I entertained myself by imaging how on earth anyone in a wheelchair would get into the room, far less all the way to the bathroom. The room is so tight and over-stuffed with furniture that it would take four strong men to lift the wheelchair-bound visitor over the beds and chairs. Sometimes I could almost forgive an over-priced hotel if I just got a good sleep. Not much chance in this place. The bedsheets had a cold damp feel as if the room should have had a dehumidifier running, but the most irritating thing about the bed was that it was too short. I'm only 6'1" and this is the first time I've found my feet sticking out of the end of the bed even with my head at the headboard (delightful velvet). The biggest problem is the constant noise. The bed is against the inside wall and everyone who walks past outside might as well be going through the room. And then there is the bang every time someone shuts a door. You'll also have the pleasure of listening to everyone else using the toilet--prrrrr or pssss, then plop, plop, plop...aaaah. The waste pipe for the room above also rushes delightfully through your room. I would fail in my duty if I did not mention the view, but a picture says it all, so see the images. I had a meal the night before. This was a chicken from which all the moisture had miraculously been removed, but unfortunately all added to the chips. Finally, I should say something nice, which is that the ladies at breakfast were helpful.

"Couldn't even book this hotel?"
CharlieN3, 22 Septembre 2017

I wanted to book this hotel for one night while visiting the NEC, but was told that they didn't accept Tesco vouchers, even though they were a Best Western chain? How can Best Western pick and choose which hotels in their chain accept Best Western vouchers? Secondly even if I booked another Best Western hotel who accepted these vouchers I had to book at least 2 nights. What a rip off, I wasn't happy as I had to drive up and down from London on the same day and spent less time at the NEC.

"Wedding Reception"
Peter W, 08 Septembre 2017

Excellent venue for wedding, although a little thought required for wheelchairs and disabled as there are some minor issues. Staff interested and helpful but the buffet was a little disappointing. Lacked imagination and was rather dry. With the entertainment, a good night.

"Needs an update"
delyth13, 25 Août 2017

The room was clean but on the small side. The bathroom looked recent but the rest of the room was tired. My bathroom had icy growing through the window. Really needs sorting that as it's a bit rough looking. The staff were friendly (everyone we encountered) and the bar meals were very nice and filling.

"A little trip away for a charity party."
kimrK3478HR, 09 Août 2017

We checked in on a saturday afternoon and found a beautiful room when opening the door. Room was immaculately clean with tv, ammenities tray, hairdryer, blackout blinds and curtains and a very spacious bathroom. We ate in the bar and the food was wonderful, cooked to perfection and quality was outstanding. The whole hotel was so beautiful that we took many photos to show family and friends. Breakfast the next day was served in the restaurant and had a huge selection of continental food offerings and the cooked breakfast was of a high quality. Once again the staff were so helpful and accomodating. We will definitely be back to stay and will reccomend to everyone we know. Thank you so much for making our stay a wonderful break away.

"Relaxing Evening "
pedrobob10, 27 Juillet 2017

We went to this lovely hotel so we could spend a great relaxing evening together. Great food and staff bedroom was really nice. The evening meal was very good and very good value for money Must say a special thank you to Mark. Can't wait to go back

"Great food good hotel "
rahh, 26 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for two nights. Had a large room, nice rain shower (always appreciated!) Free wifi. We ate from the bar menu and the food was good and huge portions. The waitress was lovely serving us for dinner and breakfast. What was a little disappointing is you need to book afternoon tea or the chef leaves. I asked if I could just get a sandwich or a couple of scones but the lady seemed like teaching Into the fridge was an impossible task. A pity as the gentleman on reception the previous day had no issue and knocked up a sandwich and a scone and piece of cake which was great. So book ahead if you think you will want one.

"Family get together"
WarwickshireCharlie, 26 Juillet 2017

I booked 7 rooms in total for family and friends as we were attending a wedding nearby, the hotel staff were very friendly and obliging. From speaking to the others everybody said there rooms were fantastic, one couple had a disabled room and they said that was brilliant. The rooms were lovely and clean and all amenities, we were right at the top in a lovely room and everything functioned well. The breakfast was very good, plenty to keep you going throughout the day. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

"Quaint Little Hotel"
Michelle W, 12 Juillet 2017

I stayed here for business for 1 night, and this hotel is really quaint and quietly located. Wifi connection was great, room was adequately proportioned with a super desk to work from. The room decoration was a little dated and would benefit from a freshen up but it was perfectly clean! Bed was super comfy and i would go as far as to say its possibly the best nights sleep ive had in a hotel this year! The bathrooms have been refurbished and it was lovely, and the toiletries supplied ideal. A few negatives would be that the communal areas felt really dated and have that look that everything would be fusty although it was clean. Would also be good when travelling for business if breakfast was available before 7am as this is a little late. Overall will definitely be using this hidden gem again!

"Wedding "
Paul E, 10 Juillet 2017

Let me start by thanking the staff for there care and help with our wedding they were all brilliant everything we asked for was instantly delt with nothing was to much trouble. The accommodation is 3 star but I would say top end. The food was excellent even the canapes were homemade. The actual building and grounds are amazing And most importantly it was at the right money I would highly recommend this hotel and it's fantastic staff to anyone who is planning a wedding ours was brilliant and I can't thank ian ' siobhon and the team enough 10/10

"Wedding day fun"
WarwickshireSweetpea, 26 Juin 2017

Our stay was brilliant from start to finish. We had a meal with relatives the night before the wedding which was freshly prepared , beautifully served and reasonably priced . The wedding the following day went without a hitch . Everything was perfect . Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly . The meal was scrumptious as was the hog roast in the evening . Big thank you to Lauren who worked all day on Saturday and always had a smile for you. All in all a day to remember . Thank you all for making my son and new daughter in law's wedding day perfect

"Returned after 4 months. Still brilliant."

"Good hotel for business"
Angelos A, 22 Juin 2017

I had to stay in Coventry for 2 nights for business at the RICOH arena. As I booked at the last minute, I could not book at the onsite hotel at RICOH and had to find somewhere else that is nearby. This hotel is around 5 mi away and very convenient to get to RICOH. The grounds of this listed building are beautiful and quiet. The staff is friendly and the hotel is served from a restaurant and a nice pub with decent food. Surprisingly quiet over both nights. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and had everything that I needed for my short trip.

"Comfortable overnight stay"
KMC137, 19 Juin 2017

Very good welcome at reception including the option of getting food at the bar for more restful surroundings. I had a bar meal of steak which was cooked perfectly and the two cask ales were an excellent compliment to this. Bedroom was comfortable and well stocked with tea and coffee.

"fantastic and beautiful pace to stay"
Carlos O, 19 Juin 2017

arrived at the hotel and it was beautiful the grounds and reception were well kept and the staff were friendly and very help full i was early for my check in and that was fine there is a well stocked bar with ample seating i was there for my friends wedding and they had a amazing day the staff could not have been any more helpful and did there best to accommodate everyone nothing was to small of a request i would stay there again in a heartbeat

"Bank holiday weekend short break"
Robin M, 01 Juin 2017

Arrived about 9pm Sunday evening, apparently after an earlier wedding at the hotel, staff helpful and welcoming. Ground floor room very pleasant though overlooking back of hotel and car park. Breakfasts very good, I only ate evening meal once which was in the bar because of the bank holiday - again very good. Historic building so you accept some omissions, e.g. no aircon but I didn't need it. All in all no reason for any complaints.

"OK, but nothing special."
Simon W, 31 Mai 2017

We stayed here for a wedding, and to be honest it did the job. I'm pretty sure it rates as a three star, and I would say that's spot on. Our room was clean, but small, with a sloped roof which I predictably bumped my head on (and I'm only 5 foot 8!). The bed was small, I'd say more a three quarter size. Maybe the room was small, as we were on a special wedding guest rate? The breakfast was good, although it's cooked for you, it's not a buffet. Drinks were expensive at the wedding, and there was no resident's bar?! Overall, ok, but 3 stars at most.

"Very enjoyable"
Ken S, 30 Mai 2017

We arrived at the hotel when the staff were obviously very busy with a large wedding party but this did not affect the excellent service that we received. Our room had a bath with quite high sides which would have presented a problem for my wife so we were given the option to change rooms or just have access to a room with a walk in shower. We opted to stay in the original room and had a key for the other room.I was a bit sceptical when we were told that dinner would be in the bar but needn't have worried as the food and service were very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful ,nothing was to much bother.I would certainly stay here again.

"Business Stay"
K3027MDkarenp, 28 Mai 2017

Booked Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. No restaurant open on a Sunday, but was still charged for Dinner Bed and Breakfast on arrival. I was told I could have a bar meal and was asked if I would like to pay for this or have it added to my room number. I would have expected at least a reduced bill on arrival or bar staff to be made aware I had already paid for a 3 course meal.

"Brilliant meal and very welcoming "
GracieMorton95, 08 Mai 2017

We have held many family occasions at the hotel as we live locally with the most recent of these being my Grandad's 80th birthday meal. We used the dubarray suite which is at the end of the bar and although there were people in the bar, it did not disrupt us at all. We had a three course meal which everyone enjoyed from my 8 year old cousin right through my grandad and was a great price for the quality of food! As I said this is not the first time we have visited and would definitely go back! Great staff, lovely old building and even better food ...

"Highly accommodating with great food and service"
Fleetingvisitor, 06 Mai 2017

We arrived late afternoon and were made to feel most welcome and our room was swiftly changed so that we could accommodate our two dogs. The evening meal of a light Caesar salad and salmon was delicious and very good value and the cooked English breakfast was hot and plentiful. Danielle whom we remembered from a previous visit was most informative, helpful and very friendly and she is a particular credit to the hotel. The gardens are also very well kept thanks to an exceptionally keen local groundsman/gardener and we hope to return again soon.

"Outside does NOT match the inside"
Oliday21, 26 Avril 2017

I was booked in here by my secretary for a business trip. She knows the type of hotels and quality myself and my colleagues look for when staying away and usually comes up trumps. She saw this one and, from the website pictures it looks very nice. But don't be fooled! Due to prior arrangements the day before I didn't end up arriving until 21:45. As I pulled into the car park I was greeted by the beautiful old, ivory covered manor house building. After 3.5hrs driving I eagerly made my way to reception to check in, get some food and get my head down. I was stood at reception for a good 10mins before I ended up having to walk around the, pretty much dead, hotel trying to find someone. Eventually, after walking through a "staff only" door near the kitchen, I found a youngish, slightly gormless looking girl chatting to a man in overalls. She just stared at me whilst the man asked if he could help. I told the pair I would like to check in and the young girl seemed somewhat surprised that that was her job and took me back to the reception!! After filling in paperwork and giving me my key it was 22:05 when she finally said "you're in room 5, enjoy your stay" and immediately went to help another woman that had turned up at reception. "Excuse me, where is room 5?!" I asked. "Oh it's down the corridor and turn right" I then asked if they were still serving food. The girl replied: "No the restaurant shut at 10. We do have bar meals though... but they stop at 10"!!!!! Now bare in mind I arrived at 21:45 and wasted 10mins trying to find someone and it only being 22:05 I figured there might be a chance of some food, clearly not! Frustrated and hungry I walked to my room. When I say room I use the word lightly, shoebox might be more appropriate! The dated decorated room is roughly 3mX3.5m! There is a bathroom containing a shower, toilet and sink situated RIGHT next to your head as you lie in bed. To make it worse the door is a poorly fitting sliding piece of wood! So you're practically sleeping in the toilet!! Ironically the bathroom is very nicely decorated and looks like it's recently been refurbished! After being thoroughly disappointed by the room I decided I'd read the hotel information folder in hope for a late night room service menu! To my surprise I actually found a sheet stating a limited menu would be available from 10pm to 7am!! Rejoicing I searched high and low for the room service menu - couldn't find one! Begrudgingly I decided to see if the girl on reception knew anything about the room service menu. When asked she said there would have been one in my room...and then reminded me that the kitchen shut at 10! At this point I said I'd read the "...10pm to 7am..." paragraph. Yet again she seemed incredibly surprised/confused and replied with "oh that's maybe just sandwiches, I dunno" then turned and walked off!!!! The icing on the cake! To summarise: small, cramp dated room; sleeping in the bathroom; staff nowhere to be found; and no actual room service disputes what the info file says!

"Worst hotel experience to date!"
Shelly O, 24 Avril 2017

We stayed for one night to celebrate a family wedding. Hotel is beautiful from the outside and that is where the plus side ends! Tiny, cramped, dark and dusty room which could have done with a better clean. The bed was so hard it was impossible to sleep on, worst nights sleep ever! Considered sleeping in the car but as there was only one very thin duvet and no spare blankets/pillows etc it would have been too cold. Greeting was rushed and impersonal, weren't even given a room key and had to ask for directions to get to the room, assumed the key must be in the door and had to go back down to get a key when we got up there and realised it wasn't! Surely the key to any hotel is the welcome and a decent nights sleep... We got neither. We had booked breakfast and that was another let down. Restaurant was full and there were only two young girls to look after every table, so no welcome again, the girl was polite though when she came over. Probably because it was so busy but there was no bread left for toast and the cooked breakfast was absolutely disgusting; undercooked bacon, canned mushrooms, fried bread had hardly seen the pan and was more oily bread! All plates from the tables around us were going back hardly touched, including ours and it cost £20 for the 2 of us! 1 tiny cup of tea each which was barely warm and no one ask ask for any more. We will never consider a best western again. Stayed in lots of hotels and this was by far the worst yet! 1/10 in general, minus 10 for the bed!

"Lovely Hotel and surroundings"
Catherine B, 11 Avril 2017

The grounds of this hotel are lovely for walking around, very peaceful. The beds are very comfortable and rooms large. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Very walk welcome received upon arrival and very friendly staff.

"Celebrating friends wedding"
Eleanor H, 09 Avril 2017

We had a amazing day at friends wedding. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was lovely . The room was clean and just enough for our needs . I would highly recommend the Weston hall for any celebration. We will be stopping again.

"Wil not be staying there again"
Iain M, 03 Avril 2017

Unless you pay top dollar you will get a box room, The bed takes up 90% of the floor space in the room, so hardly any space for you case if you have taken on with you! You get more room at a premier Inn which is less in price! The toilet was very well done up and was modern. The food was, I would say, just average. The menu choice tried to be fancy and I personally don't appreciate food like that. There was a bar menu, but only found out on the last night and the choice on there as much better than the restaurant menu.

"Great hotel for Crufts"
Lizy1, 01 Avril 2017

We stayed here for one night before crufts. The hotel is dog friendly and they are allowed in the bar which is great as it meant ours could come with us. We left early so did t have breakfast. I would return to this hotel, nice and good price.

"Usual Best Western Excellence"
jbd47, 27 Mars 2017

The hotel is a Grade 2 listed building, and has all the pleasant ambience that you would expect from that. The staff were helpful, my room was comfortable, particularly the bed, always a plus. The restaurant was closed for the night I stayed, but the bar meal was excellent, so I missed nothing.

"Stayed for week as training near by..."
HOP25, 26 Novembre 2016

Well I hate having to go away for training but this little find was excellent for a weeks stay. Ian the manager always on hand to help If I need and all staff lovely. I had breakfast in my room each morning..which felt very luxurious and a real treat. Food beautiful and plentiful. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Lovely comfortable bed and lots of hot water and towels. Only issue I had was that my key card was temperamental which after a long day training was a tad frustrating.Would definitely use this place again.

"Love this place"
jlscpt, 20 Novembre 2016

Another wonderful weekend at weston hall. Staff always helpful and polite and go the extra mile. Clean tidy . Superb breakfast. Only hiccup was heating to hot in done areas cold in others but they are getting it fixed

"Always a pleasure to visit"
pearson2016, 15 Novembre 2016

Weston Hall is a fantastic value for money venue with interesting historical features and pleasant gardens. We have enjoyed fantastic parties with scrumptious food, Murder mystery evenings to challenge the brain cells and enjoy a fabulous meal with friends, romantic nights away to reenergize after busy working weeks and several beautiful weddings. the management take time to attend to the minute details that make our time at Weston Hall so special. Thank you all for your professionalism,

"Unbelievable customer service !"
millseybum, 11 Novembre 2016

I stayed overnight on business, and from the moment I arrived was taken aback but the courteous staff. The reception was friendly as was the waitress in the restaurant (even lent her reading glasses as forgot mine). A comfy night and the room although dated in decor was clean, and warm. At breakfast I said I was on a early start so whilst I had my cereal the staff prepared a bacon sandwich to go, and offered a take out tea. Very happy stay, well done !

"Could have been better"
Harlequins123, 06 Novembre 2016

Stayed here for one night. Staff all pleasant but service sometimes a bit chaotic. Room was pretty basic and had an unusual smell. Shower had very little pressure. But...it's a nice old building and it was inexpensive when booked through Expedia. In that sense it served its purpose. Just could have been much better.

"Lovely hotel, staff let it down"
Hannah S, 03 Novembre 2016

Stayed here on business for one night. Hotel is lovely, got lots of character which was a novelty compared to where I normally stay on business. Has most of the amenities you would need, pub, restaurant, good WiFi I would stay here again, but try and avoid the evening staff on reception. It was my first visit, so had questions about WiFi codes, breakfast and navigating the hotel etc and it was VERY clear I was a burden to him. I'm no stranger to staying away and his attitude was one of the worst I'd seen. If you do not wish to deal with customers, please do not work in the hotel industry. That being said, the man on reception on check out was friendly and redeemed the hotel to a degree. 1 star lost for grumps on reception between 6-9pm - maybe consider switching for a friendlier member of staff.

"Nice hotel. Service lacking "
Craig S, 27 Octobre 2016

Very nice hotel overall. Nice grounds and the public rooms nice and the food was very nice. My room was small but cosy, warm and comfortable and had a fairly good night's sleep. The service was lacking. It was over ten minutes before anyone came to check us in and the guest in front of me had been waiting even longer. Wasn't the warmest of welcomes from the general manager. Also to eat in the restaurant but from the bar menu was a £2 supplement which was crazy. However the good night's sleep and nice food made up for this but service and welcome needs work

"Not as expected"
lataj66, 25 Octobre 2016

Good for location but have been in better hotels. cannot fault the staff, they were very attentative to any problems reported and resolved the matter quickly. Quite an old hotel with creaky stairs and very thin walls.

"Could do with a bit of modernising "
DamienJordan72, 23 Octobre 2016

Drove up to lovely looking hotel and thought this is going to be great- even after driving through housing estate to get to. Wifi not working in the depths of the hotel. Radiator in room also. Main thing to say is rooms and furniture in rooms look very dated. Modernish bathrooms fitted but with no extractor- world smallest bath and not a great job of fitting. Staff friendly and trying very hard to please but also dated as well. Ate in restaurant and food was good. Come on Best Western spend some money on this place. It looks so promising from the outside and then so dated from the inside.

"wonderful hotel"
Iain M, 21 Octobre 2016

Stayed here while on business in the Area - the hotel staff were excellent - the room was great - very clean. I ate in the bar - drinks were good and the food was good pub grub! all in all a great place to stay

"So nearly very good!!"
Kev L, 19 Octobre 2016

It wouldn't take much for this hotel to be excellent. The building is an old manor house and looks wonderful. Check-in was quick and easy- but no lift! The stairs creaked terribly as did the floor of our room on the 3rd floor - it was quite a walk but we managed; fortunately our bags were small. The staff were all pleasant but the bar staff seemed to have little understanding of what their job was. One customer asked for a dry white wine and the two staff had a hushed conversation before admitting they had no idea which of their wines were dry! The room was, apart from the very creaky floor, very nice (and I chose that phrase carefully). Everything worked as it should - TV, shower, kettle, iron..... The bed was what we describe as a friendly bed, because the mattress tries to roll both of you into the middle. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of it and very tasty.

"Girlies road trip"
Louise S, 16 Octobre 2016

We loved our stay here, even before arrival the staff were very helpful, we were on a tight time frame upon our arrival at the hotel. So we called regarding food etc upon our arrival. Very helpful indeed. Although there was a wedding taking we expected a little extra noise etc, well there wasn't any.. Service was friendly and efficient, rooms were very comfortable, the bed was fabulously comfortable. Only 1Slight issue we had the morning of our departure i found the water pressure in the shower was rather poor. One of our party is on a no alcohol month and the bar staff were fabulous at making her as she called it a non alcoholic yet fluffy drink. We would definitely return and most certainly advise anyone this place is worth a visit.

"Working trip, 1 night stay "
Lmarieevans, 05 Octobre 2016

This is my second stay at this lovely period hotel. Staff are always friendly. Beautiful hotel set in well maintained grounds, plenty of car park space Room was small (double) however it was well equipped, no air conditioning, this was a problem when I stayed in summer, fans are available in the rooms though Good wardrobe space which also has iron and ironing board, tea coffee and packet of biscuits, bottle of sparkling water also available Had a meal in the bar area which was quite nice and reasonable price wise £16 for 2 courses Bed nice and comfy and room very clean, decent bathroom (shower) Breakfast is lovely, cooked breakfast to order with lots of choice, colleague had cooked breakfast and I had poached eggs, fab breakfast. Staff also bring fresh coffee and tea pots You can also get; toast, fruit, cereal, pastries etc Was a pleasure to stay at this hotel, would return ??

"Classy and characterful hotel and a reasonable price"
Richard G, 03 Octobre 2016

Much as I try to stick to independent hotels, I cannot fault Best Western for having some of the most interesting and characterful hotels in old buildings that I have visited. This hotel is in an Elizabethan manor house, just north of Coventry. The downstairs areas are elegant, high elaborate ceilings, and nicely decorated with various bits of antique furniture. We stayed in a cheaper double room (although we were actually given a family room with a double plus two singles, which we hardly needed, but I guess that was what was available). The room was interesting, being up on the second floor in the roof with sloping ceilings, but the decoration was decidedly dated rather than classic - woodchip paper on the ceiling and bedside cabinets that looked like refugees from the '70s. Shame, because the bathroom had clearly be recently and very well redecorated, and with the original leaded windows the room had potential to have real charm. Nevertheless the bed was comfortable, the room warm enough (once we'd adjusted the thermostat), and we had a lovely night. Supper was delicious, and the fixed price menu was decent value with a reasonable choice of lovely food; the A La Carte was a bit pricier but by the description looked worth the money. Service was good and prompt. Breakfast was extensive and had a good choice, however despite the waiter service the food was clearly pre-cooked and kept warm, rather than cooked to order. A small detail that slightly lets down the otherwise premium feel of the hotel. Still, it was a very good price for a hotel of this premium feel and character, and we had a delightful night's stay.

"Wedding Celebrations"
Krystyna F, 29 Septembre 2016

We got married here and cannot speak highly enough of everyone at the hotel that enabled my big day to be extra special. Everyone had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you Weston Hall......you rock!!!

"Silver Wedding Party"
JandJ005, 27 Septembre 2016

We booked Weston Hall for our Silver Wedding anniversary party, we had a sit down meal for seventy people, we decided to book a carvery, the whole event went down very well, the staff were all very well organised and polite they kept asking was everything to our satisfaction. The only slight blip was the fact that they were supposed to come around with wine twice during the meal and I was told later that one table missed out on a second glass, but this was fairly minor in the great scheme of things. Overall very happy with service and price and would use them again.

"Lovely facade but tired and dated inside"
Clive H, 27 Septembre 2016

When you pull up your first impressions are good but it all goes a bit flat once you are through the door. As has been said in many recent reviews the interior really is dated. The walls (at least where I was staying in room 25) are very thin and the water pressure in the shower was not what you would expect. On the plus side, you can get a pint of Korev (a great Cornish lager) on draught in the bar! That's not enough to make me want to stay again though

"Traveller "
Mark D, 18 Septembre 2016

Old world charm, great food and friendly staff. My only negative would be fairly low water pressure for the shower and I could hear other guests conversations in the rooms next mine. I Would choose this hotel again

"Lower your expectations "
Aber2012, 14 Septembre 2016

The hotel looks lovely but prepare for the interior and the staff not be quite up to standard. The staff - from the manager on reception on arrival, to the waiting staff - come across as a bit indifferent. The place is a bit tired and shabby, it feels worn. Things like the garden which could be lovely are just a bit shabby and need attention. Breakfast was a a bit of a farce. I was seated at a used table covered in the previous occupants crus and half used butter and jam. I was then ignored and had to get up to ask for coffee. When tea arrived I had to ask again for coffee. Then I had to ask for a clean cup. Not exactly a catastrophe I know, but irritating when I need to have breakfast and get to work. The hotel is not bad - it's just not as nice as expected. The staff could do with a bit of a shake and some training in service. The grounds could do with a gardener once a month. They should have a think about what they are doing when the best feature is a large car park.

"Mmm, OK."
Valerie R, 13 Septembre 2016

Lovely big car park. First impressions as we arrived, lovely. Reception book in, fine. We were given a ground floor room as we had our Labrador with us. Room, bit small. No view as conference room wall six foot from window. Dust in corners of room. Bathroom was fine, shower was good, no complaints about bathroom. Food ok, nothing special, although waitress not too good knowing white wine glass from red and no tumblers for water. That wall blocked out the view from one of the windows.Time for bed.....mattress was well past its use by date, needless to say, not a very good nights sleep after driving up from far south west and still had to get to York the following day. Receptionist wasn't really interested when we told him about the mattress, his attitude changed then. Hotel is lovely and quiet and on the edge of a village, also in its own grounds. Sorry, we will not be staying there again and we think this hotel lets the Best Western group down.

"Don't bother"
jamesbond15, 11 Septembre 2016

I came here for a wedding reception The reception area is very tired and needs refurb desperately The room we were in was long with low ceiling and no windows Was extremely hot so most people went out sing to cool if as no air con The beer at first was barely drinkable But amazingly they ran out of all bitters? At a wedding! Bar was expensive and poorly stocked, ran out of Straws too! Try not to visit

"Enjoyable Stay at the Weston Hall "
GADLYS, 11 Septembre 2016

We stayed for one night while visiting family in the nearby area. At reception we were seen too promptly and given our room which was spacious ,given it was for two adults(room 12),and the bed was comfortable a good night sleep we both had.The bathroom was all new and one of the best rainfall showers I've had for a long time, normally they have low pressure but this was good. We had a snack in the evening as we ate out for Sunday lunch on the way to Weston Hall.As you can see in one of the photos an excellent snack we had for the price. The bar area is good with plenty of various seating and a piano there too. Breakfast was help yourself for cereals and fruit but if you wanted cooked breakfast it was served to you which we enjoyed very much . The staff from when we arrived and left, were polite and helpful and went out of there way to enjoy your stay. We would definitely stay at Weston Hall again

"Really nice stay"
Antony123Placencia, 09 Septembre 2016

Visited recently for a long weekend with my partner and we were not disappointed. Great staff and a really nice old hotel with plenty of character. The breakfasts were excellent value for money. Would recommend.

"Sunday Lunch"
Mark G, 06 Septembre 2016

Good place for a Sunday lunch, good food from a set menu with a few different staters from the norm and well priced. Nice setting with plenty of car parking. Friendly staff, live music in the bar area makes a nice atmosphere to take a pre lunch drink. Easy wheel chair access, via a ramp which was put on by staff on request, also plenty of space between tables.

"one night stopover"
hdwurzel, 31 Août 2016

one night stop over on way to Yorkshire. AN impressive looking hotel from the exterior, with nice rooms, we had a 4 poster bed with large bathroom. It was in need of a little TLC in places but was very good value for us. We had an evening meal there as well which was pleasant enough. The staff were helpful and polite and there was plenty of free parking in front of the hotel

"Went back for seconds"
AlfaFan1, 30 Août 2016

I stayed here for the first time (for 3 nights) in May of this year, and realising that I would be travelling through the area again I had no hesitation in booking a return stay, although only for the 1 night this time as that was all my itinerary allowed. The room on this occasion was a bit smaller than last time, with a conventional double bed rather than the previous 4-poster, but it was more than adequate and everything was clean and well-presented. The evening bar-meal was excellent, just as they were on my visit in May, as was the breakfast which set me up for the day and I didn't really need to bother with lunch. Sure, there are a few bits that are looking a little tired but it's an ancient listed building so it's all part of the character - I'd far rather stay in a place with some history to it like this than in some anonymous modern concrete edifice.

"Sunday best"
Sarah T, 28 Août 2016

Visited with family for Sunday lunch. Restaurant wall full and atmosphere was great. Service was quick and efficient. We were able to order our meal in the bar before sitting down which was brilliant and saved the waiting as we were soon greeted with our starters one seated. Plates cleared quickly and serviced flowed. Food was excellent and well presented. Staff were attentive and helpfully. Hotel looked clean and inviting. Enjoyed by all will visit again as well as recommend to others.

"Beautiful building shame about attention to detail"
Frances P, 24 Août 2016

Myself and my daughter stayed one night en route to another destination. We stayed in room 1 which was adequate for our needs. I was concerned however by the lack of basic health and safety standards. The hairdryer had a PAT test label which stated that a check was due in 2011. This suggested that no test took place as no new label was affixed. The bath/ shower leaked through the wall into the bedroom around an electric socket. Existing stains suggest this has been the case for a long time. The plug release for the sink was a piece of thick wire that could cut fingers if held the wrong way and the net type curtain in the bedroom was blackened with mould. The latter I forgot to mention in my email to Best Western which was sent this morning and which they have not acknowledged which is disappointing. I know it takes time to investigate concerns/ complaints but to just acknowledge such an email is a case of courtesy. Quite disappointed and probably won't use Best Western again if this is their accepted standard.

"First class"
Terence G, 23 Août 2016

All you could want in a hotel and reasonably priced and the rooms clean and tidy, perfect location for our visit to Coventry. The staff were very kind and helpful. A large parking area and a first class breakfast.

"Stunning setting, attentive service and good food"
ToniaG1420IN, 16 Août 2016

Not stayed overnight but had a lovely Sunday lunch experience. Staff are all so friendly and helpful, and unlike a lot of hotels seem to employ local staff which is a refreshing change. Stunning building and nice and cosy in the cellar where the lunch was served. A nice touch to offer a singer which created atmosphere. Yes there were minor errors with the food service which were swiftly rectified and with a smile. Two of our party had also enjoyed afternoon tea earlier in the month and were equally impressed. We liked it enough to consider returning for Xmas Day luncheon. Looks like a great wedding venue.

"4 star at budget price"
Michael A, 11 Août 2016

Great hotel, fabulous grounds, character and great value for money. Easy access from motorway network. Dog friendly permitted in bar and grounds ideal for late evening and early morning walkies. Bar food bit everyday but good value. reception staff particularly helpful and efficient. Only negative size of standard double bedroom but I may just have been unlucky.

"An Excellent Choice"
Nicholas P, 08 Août 2016

We needed a quiet location after a busy day and this hotel fitted the bill. Tucked away in an attractive, quiet location, the hotel was of a good choice for us. Helpful staff and a generous breakfast.

"Not bad lovely staff"
linzi_lincs, 03 Août 2016

Stayed for business plenty of parking and not too far off the M69. Hotel generally is clean and tidy and the staff are delightful. Food is simple typical chain pub grub but good portions and presented well. I think the hotels biggest down point is cosmetic really just needs a little updating in communal areas like bar and corridors. My room however was nicely decorated and a nice modern bathroom... with a bath! So with level of cleanliness and staff I'd give it 5 stars.. but the chain need to invest a little capital to bring it up to date so this pace can really blossom.

"Kev's Trip"
kevin o, 02 Août 2016

Booked this Hotel as I was have a meeting the following day in Coventry. Found the hotel easy enough, nice old building. Friendly staff at the reception giving me all details I needed. found my room on the first floor. Nice room with very large bed, desk, couple of easy chairs and shower/bath room. Went down to the bar for an evening meal, again nice friendly staff, meal was nice, I had a bar snack, you can eat in the dining room which looked nice. Overall a nice Hotel, friendly staff. Would I stay again, you bet:)

"Interesting building, average hotel"
Paul A, 01 Août 2016

The Best Western chain invariable choose interesting buildings for their hotels and this 16th century manor house is no exception. Unfortunately they don't do very much with the assets at their disposal. Our room was so small that one of us had to stay on the bed whilst the other moved around. The restaurant had a nice looking menu though the food is only average. On the positive side the staff are cheerful and the prices are reasonable for what you get.

"Awful hotel!"
dips86, 29 Juillet 2016

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my partner. From start to finish it was just awful but quite comical at times because it was so bad. The check in was the quickest ever, which some might say is good, but there was no friendly welcoming at all. The first room we got given was tiny and very dated and the bed which should have been double, definitely wasn't. The bathroom door was broken and it lifted all the way up from the bottom. I asked for another room, which they gave straight away. The second room was bigger yes but again very dated, with old smelly furniture, peeling wallpaper and a very squeaky, old spring bed on wheels with a foam mattress topper! The window was cracked too but I must admit the bathroom was great with the exception of the shower glass door being loose so water went everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this at all and can pay £10/£20 more to get a nice, modern and friendly hotel. Checkout was very poor. No questions asked about our stay and wouldn't go back.

"Superb"
stevie0151, 28 Juillet 2016

We stayed at the western Hotel for 4 nights, and it was fantastic,we had such an amazing welcome, room was tidy, food was outstanding (fine dining) its set in a beautiful grade 2 listed building, and the decor and furniture matches the building, you really feel like lord of the manor, we stayed in the old building.. (main house) but there is a new build attached to the old building,at the back, ample parking, and it's a function place for private parties, but you don't hear any of the music. Well worth a stay..

"Could be better"
Benjaminjohnjames, 23 Juillet 2016

After reading the previous reviews on trip advisor, I wasn't sure how my stay would be.All the staff on the reception desk both Friday/Saturday were male and gave a warm welcome. Our room was on the top floor and was on the small side. It was very hot in there but there was a fan in the room .we left it on all night or wouldn't of slept. We opened the bedroom window though there was music in the function room which was too loud to sleep. So we had to close the window. The bed was comfortable .Everywhere was clean but some tlc is needed throughout . The cooked breakfast was greasy and sausage poor quality. The toaster wasn't brilliant as you put 4 slices in and only 3 came out as some fell out the back of the toaster. For the price we paid I would stay again but would ask for a different room. 1 night is enough though.we went to the White lion pub in Bulkington for a drink and something to eat Friday evening and that was very nice.

"A very disappointing stay!"
Leemarr_8, 20 Juillet 2016

Not the best hotel I've stayed in by far. The check in was very rushed and offered no warmth or genuine welcome. The bedroom I was allocated has dreadful wet mould behind the door and gave off a very overpowering smell. I am sure the bedding was also damp due to the high level of moisture in the bedroom. The General Manager checked me out the following morning and did not ask one single question about my stay!

"I think this hotel trades on it's history and facade"
mariane p, 17 Juillet 2016

The room was very small with a head banging and knee banging for the unwary. We were disappointed with the breakfast menu. The fresh fruit was nice but no grapefruit, a normal basic;full English was ok but the continental was not self selection it came on a plate not allowing any choice; marmalade not on every table it was a hunt, again a very basic for breakfast. A good point, the staff very pleasant and helpful

"Not what we expected"
sarah196999, 16 Juillet 2016

Currently staying in the hotel for one night for a birthday celebration. Arrived at 3.00pm to find a wedding going on which is fine but had to more or less try & find our way to the reception area to check in past all the wedding guests. When we were given our room key as we were on our way up the stairs there were dirty glasses, plates & dirty towels everywhere, something you don't want to see when checking in to a beautiful hotel. As we were getting ready to go out there were kids running up & down the hall ways shouting. We were going to eat in the restaurant but as there was the large wedding party we decided to go to a restaurant down the road called the corner house. Had a lovely meal there. Came back to our room for a bit of a chill to here music bellowing out & still kids running up & down the corridors shouting & banging doors. This photo I have also put on is the view from our hotel bedroom. Again not the view we expected. The room was really small even though we had booked for a double bedroom. Just hoping that the breakfast in the morning is good!! We have busted quite a few Best Western Hotels in the past & feel that the quality is going downhill rapidly. If we were told that there would be a wedding on when we booked we probably would have thought twice about booking it. Think this is one thing that should be made aware of when booking as paid a lot of money for one night stay.

"One night only."
Marionf588, 08 Juillet 2016

For some unknown reason we were given the bridal suite. We have been married many years so had a good laugh about this and no, it wasn't a second honeymoon. The room was very large which was good but very shabby and badly in need of decorating which wasn't good. The dining room was very nice and the food was very enjoyable and nice and hot. The staff were really friendly but would we stay there again. No! Many of the carpets were old and stained and badly need to be replaced.

"Weston Hall"
littlepickle3, 05 Juillet 2016

Lovely building from the outside and set in nice grounds. My room was ok - quite small though and not a full sized double bed. The furniture could probably be laid out a bit better - no plugs by bedside table and had to move the TV to be able to see it. Quite cosy once settled in bed but was cold in the room beforehand. There were a few cobwebs in the bathroom. Also there was a sliding bathroom door as opposed to a 'normal' door - this was fine except the walls are quite thin so I could clearly hear the man in the next room talking on the phone even with the door 'shut'. There was an ironing board and iron in the room if you should feel inclined to iron! Also a hairdryer alongside the usual toiletries and a shower cap and fresh flannel which was nice as I forgot mine! The hotel offers a room service for your breakfast if you drop the form downstairs before 10pm, though I didn't take them up on this due to being an overcautious coeliac who always carries my own breakfast supplies!

"Not sure, but I think I quite like this hotel"
andre t, 04 Juillet 2016

Some of the past reviews have not been very complimentary so I was unsure when booking, the building is superb in need of a lot of TLC thats for sure but still lovely in its own right, reception desk o.k ish, arrived around 3.30pm after a long journey fancied a coffee and a sandwich, was told the kitchen staff had gone home now but could arrange a coffee, is this really a 3 star hotel??. Room was fine, bed very comfortable and nicely decorated no problem at all except for a cat that had been locked in the hotel scratching at the bedroom door 4 times throughout the night, breakfast that we prepaid for, I am sure was superb, but owing to being kept awake by the ruddy cat, we overslept and went down for breakfast at 9.07am and was told we do not serve breakfast after 9.00 am. Quirky hotel maybe but very relaxed and I think I liked it

"Good stay"
Rose063, 24 Juin 2016

Stayed for 3 nights due to working in area, never stayed here before as have always booked other hotels in area. Very relaxed atmosphere, staff very welcoming. Room comfortable and spotless, with everything you need, this being replenished daily, bed very comfy, so much that i overlaid every morning, view from room extremely good, giving wonderful sunset view in evening and bathroom newly refurbishment, the only niggle for room was hairdryer, wished i had packed my own as it was not very powerful. This is a hotel of two parts, the old part of the manor hall, then the newly refurbished elements, but they mixed well for me. Had a problem with WFI in room first night but this was sorted by next evening, could pick it up in bar area so did not cause much of a problem. Breakfast very good, older lady who was waitress came across like your mum, you didn't wish to argue with her when told to sit somewhere, but she run a tight ship and everyone was made to feel welcomed and given good services, only niggle again is wanted just some cold ham and eggs rather than all the other bits it came with, this seemed to be an issue and was told it couldn't be done, don't know why when ham and cheeses are on breakfast menu? Plenty of free parking and supermarkets near by to get bits forgotten. Over all very impressed with hotel as some reviews are negative, i would definitely stay again in the near future.Well done all that work there, good staff nice place.

"Country manor hotel"
Judy D, 23 Juin 2016

The hotel is set in lovely grounds and feels as thought it is in the countryside. The room was comfortable and shower hot. The room was well priced and well located for some peaceful exercise. I attended a Rotary meeting at the hotel and enjoyed the meal offered.

"It's not all bad"
Anthony W, 23 Juin 2016

After booking my room at this hotel i read reviews that nearly had me cancel my booking but it's not all that bad...... Staff The staff are friendly and serve with a smile, Food & Drink My bar meal was good and the breakfast was good also, drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. WiFi Reception was good throughout the hotel and the speed was good also 21Mbps download and 17Mbps upload Room What lets this hotel down is a lack of investment in the rooms the bathroom in my room seemed to have been recently refurbished to a good standard however the rest of the room really does need a makeover, tatty wallpaper old furniture (which I wouldn't mind if it were maintained ie had handles on all the draws). In my wardrobe there was a fan and heater (obviously addressing some of the negative reviews about lack of air con). My biggest concern regarding the room was the door it had a massive gap at the bottom so big that i could easily fit my GoPro (small action camera) under it and see what was going on in the hall this was a big concern for privacy and security. That in mind the room was clean there was a desk and chair an arm chair and an acceptable TV, there was ample tea (lots of types to choose from) and coffee (decaffeinated only) in the room with a pack of biscuits. Would I stay here again? Yes I would, I paid £50 B&B and feel that this was a fair price.

"Very pleasantly surprised at every turn by this place"
Rickanstis, 14 Juin 2016

I was very pleasantly surprised at every turn by this place. It was a bit further from the station than I'd realised, and a little unprepossessing from the outside, but from there on in it just got better and better… A warm, genuine welcome from the chap at Reception; a most acceptable room; a pleasant drink in the excellent bar. I hadn't planned on ‘eating in', but then I looked at the bar menu and the restaurant menu, found much to like, and opted for the latter. Glad I did: it was a really good meal, with very pleasant attentive service. Back to the very nice room, which also had good Wi-Fi. This turned out to be a genuinely relaxing and enjoyable experience all round, and I felt properly rested and raring to go for work the following day. Well done! Why can't all hotels be like that?

"Weekend Break"
Patricia S, 14 Juin 2016

Fantastic time - hotel excellent - staff superb any requests were dealt with straight away. Could not find fault with anything.Would highly recommend hotel. Food in restaurant very very good also service faultless. Breakfast also very good including the home made jam!!

"Unexpectedly nice"
78Chops, 14 Juin 2016

The hotel is set in a quiet area (unless the church bells are ringing) and offers plenty of parking. My husband and I were very pleased with the outside appearance of the hotel, which has been kept in excellent condition (especially for such an old building). The bar had a lot of character and felt welcoming. The bedroom was decorated in an older style and though fairly compact, the modern bathroom felt luxurious. We were happy with our stay and would definitely recommend.

"Very disappointing"
superbaker, 09 Juin 2016

I stayed here one night on business for a trip to the NEC but would not recommend it. The best thing about the hotel are the grounds and the lovely old building it is set in. I also got a cuppa'soup in the room which was most welcome after a long drive and day of work prior to getting changed for dinner. Unfortunately the rest lets it down. Rooms Old fashioned, bathroom was nice and new but the shower was appalling; the pressure was so low I could not even rinse soap off properly. I complained about this but was advised this is normal and they have an ongoing problem of poor pressure. Noise from outside and other rooms was very high, in the hotels benefit though this was down to some inconsiderate guests. There is a church nearby which had bell ringing all evening, I thought this was nice but it may bother other guests. Restaurant Really bad; standard of the food at both dinner and breakfast was very poor. Bad selection at breakfast although food is cooked to order, but unfortunately not a great standard No gym although the area is probably nice enough to go for a run Fairly close to the NEC, about 30mins away

"Awful rooms. "
Scott W, 07 Juin 2016

Stayed one night on business. Outside it looks great very picturesque. Inside a different story, it's decor is old and the rooms in desperate need of attention. Despite costing £70 a night on a weeknight. The room was cramped, the mattress was hard and creaky, the shower dripped and was a trickle when used, no air con, no remote for the TV, when I asked for one I was given a broken remote! The bathroom door handle dropped off as well. Overall really poor. Avoid.

"Am excellent meal spoilt by incompetence"
Deccles C, 05 Juin 2016

Omg. What an impressive venue, beautifully, tastefully decorated to suit is age. We had booked as a party of 7 and ordered and paid for drinks while we waited, bit pricey but was what expected. Called through for the 3 course Sunday dinner which was exceptional and excellent value no faulting it. Requested the bill, which arrived with the drinks on it which we had already paid for (not impressed) paid the revised amount left tip and left. The following day, brother in law who had booked received a call from the hotel, saying we hadn't paid the bill. No great apology after "finding" the money. Such a shame that someone not conn their job correctly caused this embarrassment. A real let down guys. And 7 non returning customers

"A traditional and comfortable hotel"
Gary F, 02 Juin 2016

We have stayed twice at this hotel and would return. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but service was a little sporadic, although staff are generally polite and friendly. Overall a positive experience.

"Lovely place"
tyci114, 01 Juin 2016

Had several meals over a weekend although we were not able to stay. Staff were very friendly and food was great. We had a three course meal set meal one evening and bar snacks the other, both were great and everyone enjoyed them. There are lovely grounds surrounding the hotel also.

"Small room"
Lenderson, 01 Juin 2016

We booked the night before, nice hotel, beautiful setting, we were given a refurbished room, lovely bathroom but you could not swing a cat in the bedroom, we were amazed you could fit a double bed in the room. The bed was very uncomfortable and had a great squeak to it, great price but not worth it. The kids running between rooms in the hall way during the evening, screaming and slamming the doors was a highlight of our stay!!!!!!!

"Nothing special, unfortunately. "
Emma S, 28 Mai 2016

I stayed at this hotel on business this week. The outside of the hotel looks lovely and is well kept. However seems to accommodate business more than pleasure just as a word of warning. Lots of business men and works people. Wish usually means a lot of early starts and banging doors. This often made me feel quite uneasy some nights so I avoided dinner alone. Obviously the hotel can't choose clients but it's something to bear in mind if you're visiting through the week. Staff do tend to treat you like you're not there.. Which is fine with me. However, at breakfast had to ask to be served or where the staff were on three occasions. The lady at breakfast is lovely; however tried to move me to a different table almost every morning due to either not cleaning tables or having them ready. Perhaps she needs more help? As she does a lot alone. My room (22) was probably more a 3/10. I booked a double room and got 2 twin beds with different sized and dipped mattresses pushed together. Wallpaper is falling off the ceiling, mould on the ceiling above the shower and the shower is not anymore powerful than washing your hair in the rain outside. Im also unsure what the room is at the side of room 22; however the noise of the TV at 3am from this room as often quite loud. I'm not the type of person to complain and due to the hotel being booked through work didn't bother.. But probably would try another choice next time unfortunately.

"Lovely stay"
Karen C, 25 Mai 2016

Lovely hotel, booked the night before arrival. Warm welcome from reception staff. Room on the first floor, well appointed with plenty of storage space. Bathroom with bath/shower. Delightful cooked to order English breakfast. An old building that must cost a fortune to maintain. TV reception poor however we didn't report to reception as we were only overnighting.

"Great stay"
Stephen C, 25 Mai 2016

Great staff good food and comfortable room. Only downside is the lack of lift to get to other floors but otherwise a great stay. Very welcoming to dogs Would recommend and definitely plan to go again.

"An out of the way place worth finding.."
John T, 20 Mai 2016

This hotel has been around a long time and has developed and has greatly improved over recent times due to room refurbishments. Some of the room are a little on the small side, but most are good full size rooms with a bath or shower and a comfy bed. Levels of service provided by the hotel staff is in the main good, and reception are helpful and proactive. Food is good, and the dinner menu is typical of a hotel of this size and quality. The free WiFi chugs along OK and is available throughout the hotel. Ample free parking is available onsite.

"Lovely stay"
Gemma D, 20 Mai 2016

The room was large, clean and instantly relaxing. Lovely modern bathroom. Great service. Friendly staff. Lovely food too. It's not trying to be pretentious or stuffy. It's just a lovely, warm hotel with charm. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The grounds and easy parking are a bonus.

"Nice Hotel - Unbelievably indifferent staff who are some of the most unprofessional I have ever met"
David M, 17 Mai 2016

The building is attractive - the rooms are nicely furnished and look quite country and corporate too The staff are unbelievable - they are not rude, they are just so indifferent to customers - it's like customers are something that are happening around their time in the building. When I arrived there was no one at Reception - I rang the bell on the reception desk three times, I even range the hotel number and five minutes later someone arrived. As i arrived at 2230 I thought maybe the nightporter had been called away. When someone arrived there was no "hello", "good evening", "sorry to have kept you waiting", just a questioning look as if to say "what?" I got a room and it was quite nice - lots of curtains - the mattress has seen better days - and it saw those better days about ten years ago - it was a cheap mattress with lots of springs - not a great night's sleep. The bathroom had no shelf, or towel rail - really annoying as it was the floor or back in the bedroom, The television had a choice of BBC1 and BBC2 - no other channels worked. When I reported this to Reception the following morning nothing happened and I had to move to another room the next day. On returning back to the hotel at 16:30 on the Sunday morning I waited eight and half minutes for someone to arrive at reception so I could change room and Housekeeping were still serving rooms - with the corridors an obsticle course of linen and housekeeping kits - amazing I was awaken early on Monday morning, as my new room was adjacent to the Housekeeping store - it's nice to know that staff had a great weekend and don't like the man in the kitchen - but why they had to share this at such a volume, so their guests have to hear it. On leaving my room my door was blocked with a pile of dirty laundry This is obviously a great hotel that is staffed by staff who are in desperate need of customer awareness training and focus I certainly would not recommend the hotel as the experience is so frustrating and the lack of service would make what could be a pleasant experience a negative one

"Old fashioned, not in a good way"
jahillhead, 15 Mai 2016

Like a trip back in time to the 1980s. Lovely building. terrible dated decor and facilities in the room (which was tiny). The shower was just a dribble. Nice food in a pub grub way and a good breakfast with fresh fruit and nice fry-up.

"Nice Time had"
coach_driver39, 13 Mai 2016

Went hear for one night after I dropped off some pony's at the western lawns then got a taxi to the Hotel the room I got was very spacious and a good size bed, clean and tidy the staff are friendly and I had a good breakfast. A nice place to stay will call again

"Nice overnight stay"
Crpsar, 08 Mai 2016

Stayed here with hubby and two teens had two pleasant rooms the grounds are stunning we were going to family wedding my sister and three young children stayed also and the staff were all excellent outing up with the little ones running around like lunatics Nice staff in the morning serving breakfast Would definitely return

"Good old fashion charm"
Susan C, 06 Mai 2016

We loved this hotel as is reminds you of "Good old fashion charm". The Staff were lovely and looked after us and our two dogs well. It was a shame the huge lawns were uncut when we arrived because it made the hotel appeared run down. After this was done (on our last day there) the gardens became transforms. My husband found the squeaky doors everywhere a trial. they just made me laugh. every Hotel etc we visit seems to have a squeaky door somewhere.

"Enjoyable stay"
RoloNorthampton, 05 Mai 2016

We have previously stayed at this hotel and stayed again over the bank holiday weekend. On arrival, the reception area was very busy with wedding guests but we were checked in fairly swiftly. Our room,no.26 was very hot and stuffy and quite small. (I think it is close to the boiler room.)As the hotel was fully booked we knew that we could not be moved and I struggled to sleep even with the window open!!However,I will say that we were not disturbed at all by the wedding reception. The next day,I spoke to Ian on reception and explained the problems we had encountered. He was very accommodating and offered us the choice of several rooms for our 2nd nights stay.We were then moved to a larger, cooler room. Our evening meal on Saturday evening in the restaurant was very good and we were served by a lovely young lady named Carys. She was very helpful and friendly.Breakfast is good and plentiful. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and accomodating.I look forward to a return visit.

"A good standard"
Ray A, 26 Avril 2016

A four night stay proved to be very pleasant. Bed very comfortable, bedroom furniture all there but situated in strange places due to size and shape of room. WiFi access good. Breakfasts very good and plentiful and waiting on staff very efficient. Plenty of free car parking, shame about the discarded old baths at one end of car park. (this sort of thing often gives a bad first impression). Bulkington is a nice sized village with pubs and cafes, very convenient for Coventry and Nuneaton.

"One night for business"
Nigel J, 26 Avril 2016

Stayed here many years ago and happy to report this visit was as pleasant as the previous one. No issues with check in, the room or the restaurant. Service was always with a smile. I have problems if a room is noisy, but here it was almost silence throughout the night, so no broken sleep.

"Perfect weekend break."
lynnedon1, 25 Avril 2016

Western Hall is full of character and the gardens are beautiful. My husband had booked an evening meal and overnight stay, both of which were excellent value for money. We are extremely grateful to the chef who created a Gluten Free starter and main course, which was lovely and the staff made sure we were happy before we ate. Finally, we would both like to say a huge thankyou to Danielle, she not only provided us with fabulous service but also was very informative about the history of the building. Please pass our gratitude on to her and to the rest of the staff for a memorable stay.

"Country Hotel"
Adrian R, 20 Avril 2016

A very nice hotel with excellent staff. Rooms and bar in need a little freshen up but a nice place to stay. Food was excellent and a overall stay a very good value for money. The en suites have been upgraded with very good bath and shower.

"Good hotel and a good price"
Georgette K, 19 Avril 2016

Great hotel - good price for the stay and close to where I needed to spend the weekend. Friendly staff and good meals. There were a couple of negatives, the internet issue may put me off if I was there for work purposes, but having said that I was still happy overall with my experience. Positives: - friendly staff - good food and room service - accept dogs (but charge of £15) - quiet - comfortable room - good value for money Negatives: - very poor water pressure in the shower - bad internet connection, often not working at all

"You get what you pay for!"
Nicholas D, 18 Avril 2016

£40 for a Saturday night still represents value for money - even if you find yourself sleeping in two single beds with very saggy mattresses, pushed together to make a double; even if the hotel's wi-fi is out of action for the duration of your stay; and even if your dinner plate contains a chicken breast so tough as to be inedible - provided the staff are friendly, professional and courteous, the inedible main course is removed from your bill, and everything else is up to scratch, as indeed was the case. We could have eaten better, slept better and internetted better by staying at home, it's true, but for £40 it wasn't a disaster and the niggles (including slightly tired decor and cobwebs in the bedroom) didn't detract from a pleasant weekend away.

"lovely two night stay"
janec1966, 17 Avril 2016

The hotel building is beautiful and the feel is very welcoming. I cannot fault this hotel apart from check in staff could have been a bit more friendly., but apart from that the rest of the staff were lovely. The breakfast and bar meals were excellent. The room was clean and the décor was lovely and in keeping with the building.

"Lovely setting, very friendly staff, nice room and good food."
David J, 15 Avril 2016

What can I say? The setting itself is charming, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, and the food and service in the restaurant was very good indeed. Very 'home comfort' in its feel. Delighted that work booked me in here.

"Stop over"
Lesley L, 15 Avril 2016

We booked here for a stop over the night before a visit to NEC Birmingham. Pleasant stay. Hotel fit for purpose. The restaurant food was very good, both the evening meal and Breakfast, the service was a little rushed. Drinks from the bar were pricey

"Not Flash but good"
EJI3775, 14 Avril 2016

I had a one night stopover, Its a old Manor house so if you want flash ultra modern not the place for you but if you want good service and something a bit different its the right place, Room 27 was small but clean and tidy tea and coffee making plus cup a soups !! The bathroom looked quite new with a big shower head however water was a trickle, I ate in bar food good and service with a smile, Gent who was on reception when I arrived was not particularly friendly but not a problem, well worth the cost

"Visiting family"
lhershon, 10 Avril 2016

Had a very nice 1 night stay while visiting family. I didn't use the amenities but the room was very comfy. Probably one of the best beds I have slept in, and the bathroom was top notch high quality finish. Didn't eat here so can't comment but it's a very good location and I will certainly visit again as its really good value.

"Brilliant"
pipuk, 09 Avril 2016

Visited here 9th April for 2days . it was amazing very clean and with an upgrade it was lovely . the room was spacious comfy king size bed . it was relaxing in the lovely surroundings. Very near to Nuneaton and Coventry and accessible by a regular bus if don't wanna drive. The breakfast is plentiful and served to perfection . lovely old building with lots of history. Staff are polite and nothing is too much trouble . will certainly return .

"Sunday lunch"
John E, 05 Avril 2016

Period hotel set in rural Warwickshire. Beautiful gardens. Hotel has character. Good selection of dishes on menu. Food is cooked well and served hot. Gluten free food available. Service is good and friendly.

"Nice stay but a little noisy "
Gemma58, 04 Avril 2016

Had overnight stay due to work commitment the next day Hotel easy to find Check in pleasant and smooth Room small but adequate although very noisy and slightly dodgy sliding door separating the bedroom and bathroom Very hot in bedroom and heating wouldn't turn down Shower nice and relaxing with complimentary toiletries Room very noisy due to next door guests having a dog that barked and also when they took it out had no consideration for other guests banging doors and allowing the dog to sniff around for ages Al a carte restaurant quiet waitress very pleasant, 3 course meal for £20 very delicious Breakfast the next morning was also very delicious Will return in next few months as work commitments again hopefully less noisy guests this time

"What a gem, fantastic hotel in fantastic location"
Sleeper3601, 25 Mars 2016

Such a beautiful hotel. Unique and old world. Staff are second to none. Shannon in the restaurant is such an asset nothing was too much trouble, chatty and knowledgeable. The manager was so helpful, all staff were a credit to such a lovely hotel. Beds so comfy and bathrooms were luxurious and I stayed in a small double (just me). Food was top class and very reasonable, breakfast was tasty, hot and good variety. All in all a very impressive hotel and I congratulated myself on finding this gem. Will be back. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic value"
Steven F, 22 Mars 2016

Enjoyed our stay here, the room was lovely and everything was peaceful during the night. Bathroom very clean and modern and everything worked just fine (apart from the radiator which I could not turn down so extra warm hence 4 out of 5, problem solved with a blanket). The bar is well stocked including the finer tipples and a nice old world space. Breakfast was excellent, poached eggs masterclass the best bit of a full English. Service is professional but not overly chatty or warm but good enough. Overall happy with our stay.

"Travel in time staying in this hotel"
Cachica_SR, 16 Mars 2016

The hotel was once a manor house built during the reign of Elizabeth I the 16th Century and still have many rooms and common areas from that time. We had an amazing room with a stunning window that with a little of snow outside, made the entire experience feel like we were in a fairy tale.

"Fantastic!"
Anthony E, 15 Mars 2016

I stayed here for one night whilst in the area for work. I can hand on heart say this was a fab cosy, friend and warming hotel. It is not expensive in fact prices at the bar were very acceptable . The room was clean warm and well present. Rachel on the bar was a fine young lady who was funny and very happy to help. I would definitely return back.

"Excellent"
James B, 11 Mars 2016

A superb welcoming hotel. If you are after a clean well presented room in very characterful setting then this is the hotel to stay. Staff are first class and deserve a mention. I have now stayed a few times and it is always a pleasure to stay.

"FRIENDLIEST PLACE"
Amanda S, 08 Mars 2016

After booking an online deal for two nights, 2 couples, we were very pleasantly surprised that even though it was a large hotel the staff were so warm and welcoming and really made you feel at home. Asking after your day etc. chatting. Not treating you second class as some do when you have booked with an offer. Clean with efficient service. Great breakfast. Customer opinion form to fill on leaving let me mention a few minor possible changes. Overall excellent.

"2 night break a gift from the kids"
rolo5857, 07 Mars 2016

We arrived early at the hotel and expected to leave our bags until the room would be ready, the receptionist checked to see if the room was available and on her return the room had been cleaned so ff to a good start, the receptionist also ran thru the use of the card key for the room and the restaurant/ bar dining times and was polite as she did so, the room was a large ground floor room 2 chairs to relax in and a 3rd by the dressing table and it still felt spacious, the bathroom was also large and modern, the room felt a little cool at first but just adjusted the thermostat on the radiator job sorted, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed 2 good nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant on the first night ( sat) we chose from the set menu 3 courses with good choice and found no fault with the food or service, breakfast self service for juice, cereals, toast, fruits, yogurts and then waiter service for the cooked breakfast. Sunday the restaurant is only open for lunch so settled for a bar meal that evening very good and large portions. As far as the hotel, overall no complaints and returning to the hotel on Sunday afternoon after a visit to Stratford upon Avon we had a drink in the bar and heard numerous good compliments in relation to the staff, service and food coming from people who had had the mothers day lunch. The hotel is in a quiet location providing a base to explore the surrounding districts we visited Bosworth field site on Saturday afternoon and Stratford Sunday both worth the visits. Having seen some reviews we were slightly worried at what we may find but we cannot fault the hotel or staff, we would stay again and we met others who were regular visitors who agreed with our experience, This is not a modern built hotel but adapted from a Hall with history dating back to the 16th century.

"It does the job, It is what it is."
AndoverTheMoon, 05 Mars 2016

Stayed here with my family for an event near by. Oh, what this place could be, the building, beautiful and the outside area is fantastic. Oh but it is what it is, it's a cheap place to stay so what do people really expect? The rooms are standard for this star rating and although the decor is, um, interesting it does what you need it to do. There's cold beer, crisps and peanuts at the bar, what more do you need!? We had two rooms and paid £50 for each room, exceptionally good value in my opinion. We've paid a lot more for bigger names and got much less. As mentioned before, the staff are a little sporadic but there was always someone at reception and it wasn't really a chore to find someone to help.

"avoid at all cost!!!"
marcus1411, 28 Février 2016

Lovely looking building from outside however when we entered the hotel we obviously headed straight to the reception area where no one was at,so we rung the bell and waited, another family came in shortly after us who also waited and waited,we rung bell again and waited,we were finally greeted by a young lady who had a mouthful of food and was not able to speak,so we kindly patiently waited until she had finished her delicious treat. She then stared at us in a daze eventually saying 'Can I help you?' in which we replied 'we would like to check in' she took our name and flicked through some papers, whilst still chewing on whatever was left in her mouth, she then tells us she cant find our booking,we were getting a little panicked by then, then she asked did we book it in another name,in which we replied no of course not, however after going through the paper work again she found us,told us what room number we had and handed us the key card. No instructions as to how to get to the room,no kind words of 'Have a nice stay' nothing so thought not a great start. Maybe a course on Customer service would go along way!! We asked her for directions and found our room, first impressions it was quite small with to much furniture in it but we managed. The room had a musky smell and noticed later in the evening there was slight damp and mould in the corner of the room behind the table. On the second night we decided to stay have some drinks and eat in the restaurant. At the bar we are greeted by the same lady at reception complaining that she had to serve us 'As you cant get the staff these days' She told us she didn't know where anyone was and wasn't impressed that she was behind the bar, poured us a drink and noticed the glass was filthy dirty so had to pour another one. We asked about the restaurant and said could we get food from the pub menu served in there, she said she would ask and said they did the night before,we got no response so we reminded her again and she said she will get back to us,we settled into the bar waiting for the young lady but she didn't come. We decided to go in the restaurant and ask ourselves, where we noticed the young lady sitting at reception, she didn't even give us an answer just told us to go into restaurant. We found her very unpleasant, very unhelpful and not very approachable. We felt we were a nuisance to her and that we were putting her out from the minute we entered that hotel. The restaurant menu was over priced unless you had the meal deal and felt it very rushed and mediocre. The day of checkout was the same service as arrival, again had to wait for young lady to finish what she thought was more important than dealing with a customer. She asked me 3 times what my room number was during checkout. No concentration, no social skills or politeness not even a good bye. I will not be returning to this hotel and felt our weekend away was not pleasant and a waste of money and time.

"Wonderful."
Owenfamily25, 28 Février 2016

Lovely quaint Olde Worlde hotel in beautiful grounds. Food was plentiful hot and tasty. Staff were excellent, couldnt do enough for you and rooms were clean and comfortable with a power shower. Would recommend!

"Not great"
Paul L, 26 Février 2016

I've stayed here a few times - never the best hotel in the area but generally good value for money and fine for the occasional stay. This time will be my last I'm afraid - room was very cold when I checked in, turned the radiator up to full before going out to dinner. When I came back 2 hours later the room was still freezing and the radiator stone cold. I called reception - they told me the pilot light had gone out on the boiler (strange that the radiator in the bathroom worked ok?) and brought me a fan heater the size of a paperback book to heat the room! Needless to say it made little difference and kepy switching off every 5 minutes. Add to that, when I turned on the TV I could only get about half the channels. Then the icing on the cake - the water pressure in my shower was terrible and next to useless (seen other reviews say this but not experienced it before). One problem is acceptable, but I'm afraid 3 is terminal. A warm room, working TV and usable shower are pretty basic requirements. I'm out!

"Mixing business with pleasure"
Helen R, 09 Février 2016

I stayed here for 3 nights when on business. Before my journey I had read about this hotel and was expecting to be disappointed as it seemed idyllic and too good to be true. I have not been disappointed. This is a lovely hotel, a beautiful building, great grounds, fantastic staff and the best room I have stayed in. I don't want to go home.

"GOOD CHOICE FOR THE NEC BIRMINGHAM"
GOLFF, 09 Février 2016

It took a while to find a nice, friendly and comfortable hotel at a reasonable price not too far from the NEC. It was worth the time taken on the internet search, I sometimes wonder whether I've spent too long (man hours) finding somewhere to save a few pounds! It was about a twenty minute journey from the NEC, it was like a green oasis after driving through some housing estates over bumpy roads. First impressions of a lovely country house outside and inside full of character. I'm sure there are a few areas that could be updated but that would be too picky. Sunday night our night of staying the Restaurant was closed, which I was told at the time of booking, but there was plenty of choice on the bar menu for a three course meal. Comfortable room with a four poster bed. Good free parking.

"Gloomy"
Yumyum36, 08 Février 2016

Beautiful exterior of this hotel, but found the interior dark and gloomy. It all seems to be a mishmash inside - dark panelling, dark paint, mixed patterns of wallpaper and patterned carpets, making a confusing look. Nice old pieces of furniture but which seemed to be hidden because of the patterns and gloom. There's a bar, but it seemed cheerless - had to call someone to come serve which they were very obliging. Sat and had a drink in the gloomy room with nice music in the background, but there was an oversized TV on and nobody watching - so we turned it off. There seemed to be lots of doors that were closed. It's a large building but seemed we were only able to go into the reception, bar and another small lounger that we didn't use. There was nowhere else cosy to gather. There's no lift. Be warned. We had heavy luggage and had to cart it all the way to the very top of the hotel - up 2 flights of stairs. No porter. Our room was a small double. Again it was gloomy. Bed was comfy and had nice linen but the room wasn't used to its best. There was a desk in the corner by a small window and a large mirror that faced over the desk - if you wanted to look in it then you had to lean over the desk. Seemed a strange place to put it. The bathroom was a good size and though felt modern, it also felt gloomy. Good overhead shower. My pet hate is the lighting. I like soft lights but also I like a strong light when needed. Women who put on makeup can't see properly - it's too dark. The room was warm but as I don't like heat in a room I turned it off and opened the small window which was running in condensation. The breakfast was a strange affair. No menu - so when asking for something cooked I had to ask what there was and still didn't get what I'd asked for. I had veggie, and it was ok. There was also cereal, juice, toast, fruit and yoghurts to help yourself to. The butter served wasn't butter ..... I know my butter :-D It's a lovely hotel and looks very grand, but it needs a little decoration to brighten things up which would be very stylish inside indeed. Yes I'd stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Staff are very friendly and helpful - couldn't do enough for us. We had a nice stay.

"Cold"
Mark B, 05 Février 2016

Stayed at hotel for a couple of nights to try out the area. Room was cold on arrival. Contacted reception to be told heating was timed. 2 hours later again contacted reception to find pilot light had gone out. Room eventually warmed up very slowly due to small pipes on radiators. Towel rail in bathroom wasn't working leaving towels damp although extras on hand. Nice breakfast fast service and hot so no complaints.had a meal at bar which was very nice. singers on Friday night was a nice touch to the bar area which otherwise had no atmosphere. Could have done with the fire being lit. Room was OK nice sized bed hot water quite noisy from other guests rooms although grounds nice and quiet. Not much else in area visited coventry motor museum which wasn't bad. Only complaint that seems to be an ongoing trend is the heating was promised a heater but never arrived

"Overpriced rip off britain"
Colin T, 04 Février 2016

Tiny room smallest ive come across so far, modern and clean but tiny!!! could hear every noise from next room.. Restaurant area in need of modernisation. Breakfast was OK but very overpriced £12.95p was worth £7, evening meal overpriced and very small portion., older Waitress very rude.

"A Three Night Stay"
Lestercazjai, 31 Janvier 2016

This place was recommended to me by my Cousin who lives in the area. She and her husband are the regular Friday night entertainment. They are very good singers. So this hotel is not expensive. We booked B&B, very nice English breakfast. They serve Bar meals or have a nice Restaurant. The Bar meals are more than good enough. During our three night stay we had NO heating on for two days, in the middle of winter. We asked for heating, only to be given Two small heaters that didnt run. After a big complaint on the third evening, they discovered that the Pilot light had gone out the day before. No one thought to call a plumber, who would have fixed it in a flash. No one thought to come to our rooms to give us heating. An hour after I made a fuss the heating was back on no were told the reason for the loss of heating. What a shame that the Manager was off for two days and the rest of the staff let him down. Perhaps even if a staff member could take a walk around the hotel, now and then. I tell it how I experienced it. I would stay here again to give it another try as I am sure they do better when the Manager is on board.

"heating problems spoilt visit"
fatbloke60, 31 Janvier 2016

We arrived at this hotel for an overnight stay to visit a nearby friend then on route to Norfolk. The Hotel has a lovely historical frontage and entrance hall but this is not sustained through out the hotel. Our room was at the end of an annexe corridor with single glazed metal framed windows circa 1950's and a large radiator that was cool on arrival. We expected it to heat up in our evening absence but on return at 9.30pm it was stone cold. We called reception who agreed to investigate, it took near 15 minutes before we were notified by the duty manager that the boiler had 'tripped' and it was now back working. He did agree to move us to an internal, warmer room but when we ran a bath it too was cold water. The Duty manager did compensate us with a reduction of £20 off the bill. So an unfortunate time. However breakfast was served promptly from ordering and was hot and tasty and was a compensation. Parking good.

"Lovely place, lovely people."
David J, 17 Janvier 2016

Stayed for two nights Jan 15-17. Very nice hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The receptionist on our arrival had no problem in changing our room when we asked as we felt the first was on the small side and we prefer to have the window open at night. He moved us to a bigger room on the first floor without hesitation. The food, both in the restaurant and the bar, was very good and good value. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Friday night we were entertained by a husband and wife duo who were excellent singers and amusing too, striking up a good rapport with the audience. Just a shame they weren't there on Saturday too. My only gripe is that, although there was free wifi, I could not get it to work on my phone.

"Great wedding and weekend stay!"
Craig G, 04 Janvier 2016

I attended a friends wedding in September at Weston Hall and it was perfect from start to finish. I arrived on the Friday evening to a friendly welcome and a cosy atmosphere in the main bar with a duo singer performing. My room was a good size with a really nice bathroom which looked like it was brand new. The hotel overall has the look of a period hotel with some great features and the right modern splashes where needed. The Wedding day was spot on with great service, the food was amazing, the gardens were perfect for the pictures all around the building. The wedding breakfast was in the Dubary suite (i hope that is spelt correctly) which was a small room making for a really intimate meal. The evening part moved to the Middlemarch room which is was a typical hotel function room with its own bar and sofa area which was great for a rest from the dance floor. Breakfast was good to and helped ease my handover. Overall I couldn't fault this place or my stay.

"afternoon tea "
Sp06, 03 Janvier 2016

been here a few times for afternoon tea now. Cannot fault it at all! Always nice polite staff, friendly and always at your service making sure everything if OK and if they can get you anything else. Beautiful place and would definitely recommend

"Delicious Christmas dinner"
Jackie S, 27 Décembre 2015

As a family we have been here on several occasions for birthday treats. Having been to several other places for Christmas dinner we decided to try here even though it is a little further to travel. Our dinner was delicious we had three starters one main course and a pudding. Then coffee and mince pies to follow! There were other choices if you are vegetarian. Each course was really good and hot when it needed to be. The service was good and well organised very friendly and cheerful staff. Well done Weston hall we booked to go again next Christmas Day. Thank you

"Mid week break"
Michael R, 15 Décembre 2015

A very pleasant mid week stay, while visiting our grandchildren, good quality breakfast plenty of choice, all the staff very pleasant except the guy on the desk of all the times we have stopped here he never seems happy in his job, large clean bedroom with quality bathroom. Only down side was the lounge,if you wanted a quite area to sit in the evening, cold very little heating.

"Don't bother with Sunday lunch!"
Brad790, 13 Décembre 2015

Greeted by a lady sitting behind a huge desk so you could barely see her. Felt as if we had imposed. Sent into bar as table not ready? Eventually given a menu that had been printed with wrong price on, we had to point out. Had to suffer really loud music, I think the beach boys? Even though it's December and they are promoting Christmas. Starters shocking, we had fish, fruit and pate all had obviously been sat out for long period of time, lettuce brown at edges, absolutely disgusting. Main seem to have been plated up and put in a hot cupboard until ordered. Yorkshire pudding frozen as was veg. Not offered any sauces or asked if everything ok. Dessert came out with bits missing. Cheese plate again had been sat out. Extremely poor quality and not worth a visit!

"Full of "original features""
MarvinB123, 11 Décembre 2015

A wonderful visit. Two nights for a reunion party. It's not often that you get to sleep in a 16th century room. Some of the corridors on the top floor are rather narrow and might be beyond the capabilities of people with claustrophobia but the view up there is great and the room we had was lovely. The whole place is very tastefully decorated and in keeping with it's age. Food is very good but not a huge selection especially for vegetarians (one option!) although they did have very nice vegi sausages for breakfast. ALL the staff were EXCELLENT. We stayed in room 40 which is the one in the top right of the picture and is excellent. Four-poster bed, lovely furniture and a very good bathroom. It's also very quiet even though the first night we were there they were staging a murder mystery night. Everything about this hotel is a delight.

"Awful hotel from start to finish"
Tent-Events, 09 Décembre 2015

The hotel is beautiful outside but like a time warp inside. Dreadful from the moment I walked in. It was like a smelly old peoples home. It didn't get better, the hotel is very dated and in need of a major refurb. I thankfully avoided dinner but bravely went to breakfast. It was awful, uncooked and inferior food is being used. Premier inn breakfast last week was far superior. Try and avoid this hotel. Far better local hotels that are more reasonable.

"Wedding at Weston hall "
Nataliaa1984, 05 Décembre 2015

Thanks to Weston hall I had the most amazing wedding, everything went to plan and staff couldn't do enough to help on the run up and on the day. The honeymoon suit was lovely and the food was amazing. Could not thank them enough. All guest were very impressed also, I strongly recommend Weston hall for a wedding, weekend get away or even a meal. Mrs and Mr Harding

"Great Wedding Venue"
Allison K, 25 Novembre 2015

We stayed overnight prior to attending a wedding in the hotel. We were welcomed at reception and told that we had been upgraded. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed a full English breakfast which was excellent and sampled the home made rhubarb jam which was superb. The waitress was very friendly. The wedding meal was excellent and the setting great for photos. The hotel is approx 10 minutes from Nuneaton railway station by taxi, and a perfect venue for a wedding.

"Decent hotel for the money"
Paul L, 21 Novembre 2015

I have stayed here a couple of times now when I can't get a room in Coventry or the prices there become silly. For the money its pretty good value - plenty of parking and easy to find. The rooms are a little small and a bit dated in places, but given the cost compared to other hotels I can't complain. Will definitely use again in the future.

"Beautiful building but the service lets the hotel down"
dsweddle, 20 Novembre 2015

Lovely old hall converted into a hotel and the front of the building is spectacular as you arrive. Lots of car parking space in a secure area. The public rooms are very good and still wood panelled, very relaxing. The bar and restaurant have a good selection of wines, beers and food and the prices are reasonable for a hotel. The bedroom was also good but had four major drawbacks; the mattress was old and very creaky, the shower was very poor (possibly the worst I have ever been in) I believe because of the low water pressure, the heating was not very warm in the evening and by far the worst was the noise. All three nights that we were there some function was being held in the hotel, one night a wedding. The noise could be heard all over the hotel. We asked to change rooms but the only one offered was difficult to get to and still suffered from noise. The other problem with the hotel was the staff. Some (a young receptionist and generally the restaurant staff) were pleasant and helpful. Others seemed not to want to help and certainly did not greet with a smile. The atmosphere seemed unhappy.

"Perfect nights stay"
186259Donna, 17 Novembre 2015

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we had a meeting in Coventry the next day. The hotel was perfect for us. All the staff we dealt with - in reception, in the bar, in the restaurant etc were all very friendly and professional and couldn't do enough for you. Our room was very clean and beautifully decorated and the food in the restaurant (including breakfast) was spot on. Many thanks to everyone for a great stay.

"Lovely birthday dinner"
amh59, 13 Novembre 2015

We hired the Dubarry room for a private dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday last Saturday. As there was a large number of us we chose our meals and paid a few days in advance so we didn't have to do anything on the night. There was plenty of choice for each course, something for everyone, and I think £23.50 for 3 courses and coffee is good value. The room was nice, situated just off the bar, and we all sat at one large table. We provided our own flowers and candles on the table. The food was lovely and everyone enjoyed it. The staff looked after us well. We took our own birthday cake and the girls bought it in for my dad at the end of the meal.

"Bulkington"
john s, 12 Novembre 2015

Old manor style hotel. Bar clean and tidy with good staff. Reception very helpful and overall appearance very clean and smart. Some windows are a bit old and worse for wear as is some décor but not the worst I've seen. One person on at breakfast so waited 30 minutes for service but overall food service in afternoon was excellent. A quiet hotel with little noise and good value for money.

"DIRE! DIRE! DIRE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS"
richgolf03, 12 Novembre 2015

Just a shocking experience from start to finish. We were here for a 2 day meeting. Had a meeting room directly off the bar - ambient music and bar noise was audible at peak time. Meeting room was dated, dingy, and with old flipcharts and scrunched up flipchart paper provided. No effort to look professional. Staff seemed terminally depressed. From the grumpy guy on check-in to "fawlty towers" like restaurant service, it was just horrific. Lack of care, attention to detail. Food was average to say the least. Bedrooms were clean, and my room had a refurbished bedroom which was fine. Overall.. never ever again. Business customers just avoid and stay 10 minutes down the road at a Premier Inn, at least you know what you will get.

"Sunday lunch"
John E, 08 Novembre 2015

Beautiful hotel in rural setting. Varied choice of menu, including gluten free. Good selection of wines. Food is plentiful and well cooked. Service is good and prices give good value. Functions are welcome and very well served.

"Hidden away hotel."
Rebecca C, 25 Octobre 2015

We stayed for two nights and well worth the cost. The hotel does seem hidden away, located in what seems an unusual spot for a hotel. But if you like a quiet stay in an interesting old style building, this is for you.

"If it wasn't for Jane!"
Jenny T, 19 Octobre 2015

This was one of our worst experiences! Room 39 was right at the top out of the way, would not normally have been a problem, BUT! On visiting the bathroom we found a 'dirty' toilet, not what anyone should expect. After using toilet tissue to clean it, no cleaning equipment or brush, we informed reception. They offered to have the toilet cleaned but this didn't happen. Other problems with the room were badly fitting bathroom door, very thick dust on bedside cabinet, dirty mug and broken light bulb. We were told we would get a discount but this didn't happen either. After leaving a note the next morning for the housekeeping staff, a friendly lady named Jane found me to apologise, she was clearly upset as to the condition of the room and went and asked for us to be moved. Ten minutes later she and a colleague (Neil), moved us into the honeymoon suite. This was a vast improvement. Bar meals were very good value for money. Staff on the first night/morning a little unhelpful and with attitude, however on the second night/morning staff very different with a much friendlier approach. Jane needs a special mention as she clearly cared about the customer and also helped to save the reputation of the hotel. Thank you Jane, you made a big difference to our stay.

"Beautiful building"
Angela R, 09 Octobre 2015

Lovely approach to building. Reception and bar area very nice, well maintained and respectful of it's age and character. Rooms now looking a little tired, although bathroom very very nice, Just needs a little TLC in bedroom. Very helpful staff., especially in bar. Very reasonable charge for bar snack. One small problem - our room was at the front of the building, so we had the light from the car park shining in all night.

"Wife's birthday surprise"
Anthony H, 06 Octobre 2015

We have stayed here on a number of occasions, and have always had a wonderful time. This stay was no exception. Staff were friendly and polite, food was excellent and the room very good (only downside was attention to detail, chair very wobbly, paint flaking around some lighting, unable to open bathroom window ? ) only mentioned because we were in the bridal room. We were visited by the family and the staff made us all very welcome, despite our small granddaughter having lots of "fun", couldn't have been better. Thank you, we will be staying again.

"Gorgeous hotel with fab staff"
Sarah M, 02 Octobre 2015

Would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Such a beautiful hotel and very nicely decorated! The staff were very welcoming on arrival and departure and even offered us room service as we arrived late and there was an entertainer in the bar. Food was good too and very generous portions! We did have a bit of an uncomfortable bed BUT everything else was so nice it more than made up for it!

"Peaceful setting, comfortable and welcoming"
Graham M, 29 Septembre 2015

Great hotel with character in a marvellous setting. Friendly and helpful staff, good food. What's not to like? We only ate breakfast but it was perfect. Well cooked with good ingredients and just the right amount. No hesitation in recommending this hotel to any traveller, business or pleasure.

"New Years eve"
Jackie P, 29 Septembre 2015

We went here last New Years and had a fantastic time . We arrived at 7pm to a lovely glass of bubbly which went down very well . After being showed to our table we realised that there was plenty of room and was not rammed in . The meal we had per arranged came which was a beautiful 4 courses I had the beef and it was so tender .Wehad a lady that was singing her voice was lovely and she sang a mixture of old and new songs plenty of room on the dance floor and when she took a break a disco took over At midnight we all went on the dance foor with party poppers and midnight struck there was balloon coming down from the ceiling all in all a fantastic time had by all

"Enjoyable stay"
609RogerH, 27 Septembre 2015

Very comfortable room with four poster bed. Good sized room with everything you need for a good nights stay. Would have given an excellent score but the lady on reception was a bit off when we arrived. We know you can't book in early but would expect a little more understanding. The male staff on reception later were perfect.
