    « Great hotel »

Great hotel, room was a suite which was equipped with a kitchenette, was compact, clean and cozy. We didn't use the pool or hot tub however looked inviting with a great water slide. The hotel front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lobby/bar is gorgeous and very cozy with a beautiful rock work fireplace and full service bar. Happy with our stay and if in the area again will def stay here!

« Just As Great the Second Time »

Work had me back in Valemount with a small team for a day. We were put up in the Best Western to my relief, I had stayed before and remembered the facility to be quite nice. I wasn't disappointed. The big, open, lobby and lounge is still beautiful with a wall of windows letting in light and giving some views of the lovely scenery. A full bar was available although being on business and traveling with non-drinkers I didn't get a chance to check what was served, although it looks as though local craft beers were available. I stuck with the automated coffee machine which served up regular, decaf, espresso, mochas, and others. The coffee was welcome and tasted just fine. A small gift shop had candles and hygiene products and a couple vending machines provided candy and pop. Check in was easy and I was given my choice of room. I stayed on the ground floor this time with the rest of the party and received an executive suite. The suite was as I had remembered, two rooms, two TVS, a comfortable couch and coffee table that was big enough to lay out documents and get organized. The desk was also large enough to be useful. Many lamps and lighting options kept the room lit. The room was equipped with more coffee, a kettle, fridge, and sink. The bathroom was clean and bright, big mirrors and a new looking tub. No problems there. The bed was comfortable and sleep came easy after a walk around the well kept grounds. A nature preserve backs the hotel complete with walking trails and lookout towers while a very decent pool, hot tub, and slide keep you busy indoors. We made use of the pool amenities and my companions said it was one of the best hot tubs they had used. The attached restaurant provided us with dinner and had a great menu and seasonal decor. Everyone found something and the portions were more than enough. The hotel seems to have a personal touch with the decor and accents and everyone commented on the pleasant atmosphere. I would be happy to stay next time I'm in Valemount on business, but would love to stay for a personal trip also and check out the jacuzzi suite. I believe the hotel is dog friendly and has electric chargers for those cars which need it. Great stay, great hotel.

    « Best Hotel Waterslide »

We stayed here for 1 night. The room was average, but the hotel lobby and sitting area was very nice. Loved the massive windows. If you get a chance, try the hotel pool and waterslide. Just make sure no one stands in front of the opening or accidents could happen lol

« Not Best Western Standards »

Stayed one night on our way from Kamloops to Jasper and wish we hadn't bothered. The room was okay but our evening meal in the restaurant was dreadful. We ordered drinks only to be told after 10 mins that my glass of wine was unavailable due to them running out of it. I then asked what they did have but the waitress took another 10 mins to come back to tell me. Our meal had still not been served but then our starter came with our main meal being served straight afterwards only to be told we didn't have to rush ! The food was not good and the service dreadful.

    « Great mountain views »

This hotel is located in a beautiful part of BC. We didn't pre book our stay, so received the walk-in rate for a senior Best Western customer. Our room was well appointed and clean with two queen beds, that were comfortable. This hotel would be great if it offered a continental breakfast. The check-in/out staff seemed to be very busy but pleasant.

    4
    « Price »

Nice place to stay, very quiet rooms. Price is a bit higher than other Best Western in area such as Hinton and Edson Alberta and lest choice of restaurant in the community. However, we will more likely stay there again for the quietness of the hotel and surrounding.

    « Waterslide is disappointing »

Waterslide was way too fast for my six and three year old (and they aren't scared of anything) (note: reception did warn us at check in). No other concerns. Beds were comfortable. Rooms and hotel were clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Restaurant food was delicious and filling. Waitress was very helpful/good at accommodating our over tired kids. We'd come back when the kids are a bit older.

    « Great Stay! »

This is a very new motel, very clean and modern. Free wi-fi. The neatest thing about this motel was the pool, it was warm with a fantastic slide! Kids will love this motel. Also, the rooms are large and there are 'Kids' rooms that allow parents to have their own room and TV with a separate area for kids to have their own beds (2) and TV. Small refrigerator and microwave, as well. Another neat feature is that it is right on a fantastic marsh nature trail with birds and other wildlife.

    « Expensive »

Single mother and one dog. Expensive out of season. Dinning room opens late. Room facing parking lot. Shame on you for charging $220.00 for one night in October!!! Just wanting my child to enjoy the water slide while traveling through

    « anniversary trip »

BW is on the outskirts of town. Lobby and reception welcoming. Rooms were clean and roomy. Nice feature having a door opening to a balcony overlooking the woods. Nice walking trail with a preserve adjacent to hotel that was pleasant for a walk after hours of riding. Enjoyed the stay here.

« Not up to the PLUS standard »

In my opinion this property does not come up to the standard which we have come to expect from a BW "PLUS" property. The industry standard seems to be to include a complimentary breakfast, however none was offered here and I did not discern a proportional reduction in the room rate.

    « Overnight stay »

We had been unable to book an extra night at any of the hotels in Jasper so decided to stay at this hotel as it would be en route for our journey to Kamloops the next day. So pleased we did as it was far superior to the hotel we had in Jasper. Arrived late as we stayed late in Jasper but friendly welcoming check in. Great hotel, rooms clean and spacious. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, good food served by a lovely waitress (sorry can't remember her name but she had dreadlocks tied up in a scarf). If you're travelling from Jasper to Kamloops would recommend this as an alternative to an extra night in Jasper as it shortens the journey.

« Okay but needs work »

This property had some shortcomings that made the stay less enjoyable. The upholstered furniture was in need of a good cleaning, the hotel does not provide the typical Best Western breakfast, the ice machine was not working, and the housekeeping was lacking in doing a good job.

    5
« Great Hotel clean and nice big rooms »

Stayed on our way through. Had a three bed room which was great nice and big. Very clean rooms. Kids loved the pool and water slide. Outside of hotel was clean and very well kept. Only one slight issue was the drain spout for eaves was right outside our window and was loud during the rain.

    5
    « wonderful stay »

We arrived earlier than expected and were still treated in a friendly manner and given a room right away. The room was very comfortable and the first thing we did was to make a coffee and sit on the balcony in the sunshine. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept very well. We love this place and stay here each time we travel through Valemont.

    5
« A smaller town in the mountains »

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Valemount Inn on our way back from Alberta. Valemount is a smaller town located in the mountains of central eastern B.C. The Inn offers an excellent place to stay with a good restaurant and an in house lounge. If you are looking for more of a beer bar you can check out the bar at the old hotel on the other side of town. In the winter is well prepared for the snowmobilers that come to the area, including special security for their haulers and equipment.

« Loved it, Clean, Friendly »

This was a fabulous find. Our room was wonderful. Bed very comfortable and sheets felt new. Even the towels in bathroom were extra big and thick. Had a jacuzzi tub in our room as well. This is not in bathroom but out by bed. Small little deck that you can go sit on and view the scenery. I imagine it would be quite nice in winter as well. A fireplace as well. When I booked it I was not expecting all that. I was just booking a king room. Had fridge and coffee maker. Just off lobby there is a lounge area. Big fireplace in there and floor to ceiling windows looking out to nature. We ate there for dinner instead of going into restaurant as it was nicer atmosphere. We loved it there. The food was great and really nice sized portions. The girl working there was wonderful and made our time there very enjoyable. She looked after everyone on her own and did a fab job. We ate breakfast at the restaurant in the morning and the staff were so nice. The breakfast was great as well. If I'm ever driving through Valemount again I would def stay here.

« A great place to stay when traveling »

This is about the halfway point between Edmonton and Vancouver. It was the first time I have stayed at this BW but it won't be the last. The restaurant had very good food. The service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. Super friendly people at the property. The mattress was one of the better ones to sleep on with big fluffy pillows. I only needed to use one for my head, sometimes I need to use 2 but not here. Beautiful area at the back to go outside and go for a walk. See you again Valemount BW.

    « Great vacation »

They have a great restaurant ask for Krista as she attendant our needs great. They have a great diversity in there menu items,, and what we had you could not be any better. they have a great marsh walk which take about a hour.

« Expect BW, get BW with little deductions »

We stayed 1 night on way to jasper NP, it is 1,5 hours drive. Staff was friendly, but place a bit dated ( bath, csrprtts, etc). Some amenities were not available, fitness, coffee machine,... Internet was too weak on room, that was disappointing.

« Breakfast not included as advertised »

We have reserved this room and during reservation we had options to use AAA membership for additional discount. To our surprise we realized in the morning that we do not have breakfast included in our package since we already used AAA discount. It is in a location where you don't have many options for breakfast in the neighborhood and so we had to left hotel without breakfast with kids traveling. We have never experienced this kind of treatment from any hotel where breakfast is taken away for using any membership card. We will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

    4
    « A night in Valemount »

Such a nice location next to that lovely bird walk. Nice quiet town with friendly people. Enjoyed hot pool and swim in pool. The rooms were clean and airy. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were disappointed at not being allowed to sit in the downstairs lounge after having dinner in the main restaurant. We just wanted a cup of coffee and to relax. It was only for people eating dinner there in that lounge.

    4
    « Nice place »

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was pretty big with separated living room and kitchen. Unfortunately it was too close to the reception so we heard people walking by and also our view from the bedroom was straight to the lobby so we had to close curtains immediately. Wide offer of TV channels.

    5
    « Fantastic »

We have tried to stay at a Best Western where ever our travels take us,be it Texas ,Nevada or Canada. Many of the hotels have breakfast included in the rate, which is convenient. It appears that the Best Western Corporation has done a modernization on many of it's hotels.

    4
« Overpriced but nice facilities »

Nice facilities - the pool and hot tub were set at temperature where you could actually enjoy them! Over priced but options with a pool in that area are limited. Restaurant on site but no 'free' breakfast. If you're travelling with a pet your room options are limited and you'll probably get placed in a room that is not quite up to standard -- pretty typical of 'pet friendly' hotels--they should change the term to 'pet tolerant' -- it seems responsible pet owners are penalized for travelling with a pet.

    4
    « Good Stopping Location »

Chosen at random en route to Edmonton. Competitively priced. Check-in friendly and efficient. A modern facility well decorated with pool and fitness room. Rooms were clean and well appointed in a mountain rustic design .Very quiet atmosphere for a good sleep. We were assigned an Executive Suite which consisted of a sitting room and small separate bedroom with a double bed. It was satisfactory, but somewhat dark and we would have personally preferred a standard room. There is a beautiful and modern lounge off the foyer and a very nice restaurant where we ate both dinner and breakfast. Our food was satisfactory, but not necessarily special. On both occasions it arrived somewhat cold. The prices, on the other hand were excellent. Valemount is a beautiful location to stay and explore. We recommend the Best Western.

    3
    « Meh »

Stay was okay and it was nice they allow pets. Hotel was quiet and front desk staff were friendly. The room itself was quite dated, the sink was leaking, the fridge was dirty and still had red cups from someone else's stay inside of it, carpet at the door was ripped and repaired with duct tape. The restaurant served decent food but one of the staff there was actually quite rude to my husband! Overall not worth the price and wouldn't stay again.

    5
    « Loved it! »

I stayed here one night on a long road trip - so just a stopover but I could tell Valemount is cute and beautiful place! I had time to go in the pool which was great after being in the car. Walked around a bit outside - they have a nice trail near the hotel and the mountains make every beautiful! Service was great, everything efficient and speedy. The room service was speedy and delicious and all the servers and staff were so friendly and helpful. Love that the restaurant supports the local brewery! All the amenities in the room you could need! And great wifi! Free parking too. Google maps seemed to struggle to tell me how to get there but I called and the staff was so helpful with directions.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Great place to stop en route to/from Vancouver. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, great restaurant and lounge areas in the main lobby. The grounds are beautiful, and the swimming pool was fun! We'll be back.

    5
« Stayed over for Jasper Wedding »

I have previously stayed at this hotel last year and had a good experience, this time was no different. The restaurant had excellent breakfasts, great beer at the lounge and great service. The beds were very comfortable and the Jacuzzi was also a nice touch. If I am ever out this way I will be back.

  • 5
    « Terrific stopping place »

This hotel was exactly what we needed for a stopover on our trip to the coast. (We stayed there in both directions) The rooms were nice, clean and quiet. The staff were really friendly and helpful, good about our dog being with us - helping us with ideas of where to walk her etc. The restaurant provided what we needed for meals, again with friendly service.

    5
« The Best, Best Western »

Out of all the Best Western Hotels I have stayed in, this is by far my favorite. The décor is perfect for the mountain surroundings, excellent staff and service, nature trail, lodge style lounge. All the guests seemed very happy with the facility. Well done! All Best Westerns should be this nice!

    4
    « Great stopover! »

We stopped over at the BW plus because it was the half way point on our trip. First impression was very positive! The hotel has a cabin/lodge feel. The check in was fast and friendly. Our room had a beautiful mountain view. It was clean and comfortable. There was a fireplace, small balcony and much to my surprise a jacuzzi tub! They have a water slide that was a big hit with the kids in the hotel. The property has a restaurant and a lounge. We ate in the lounge. It was our good fortune to be there on a night where we received a complimentary glass of wine with each entree. Had a good night sleep. Woke up to the spectacular mountain view!

    3
    « Overnight stay »

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a motorcycle tour of BC and Alberta. The room was large and clean. The restaurant had a good selection of food and wine. Breakfast was fine. Overall, a good, basic hotel that met our needs.

    5
« Great hotel in beautiful location »

We stayed here for one night on our way to Oregon coast and what a lovely stay. Hotel has large and very clean rooms. Check in/ Check out staff were friendly, helpful and on the ball. Our room had a jacuzzi, fireplace and balcony. Had Shaw satellite TV but watch TV when the area is so lovely?! Very quiet room even though there were lots of families with young children and a few with dogs. Being a dog friendly hotel ranks very highly with me. Overall We highly recommend this beautiful gem.

    3
« Because there's nowhere else available to stay »

We stayed here during summer, because there was no available accommodation in Jasper where we wanted to stay. Upon arrival, I waited in a long queue, where repeatedly staff summoned forward what I assume they classed as more important looking guests- so rude- it wasn't until I spoke out and complained they stopped doing so, and staff seemed almost annoyed at having to serve me. Then I was told I had booked a members rate and would be charge almost an extra $50 per night- however not told politely, instead I felt like a child trying to steal who had been told off. (If you've taken a look at the website I'm sure you can understand how confusing it is to know what you're paying for! Worst hotel website I've ever encountered). Then the staff member commented, "oh I see you've asked for a crib. Great." - which I assumed meant I had a crib provided, however upon entering my room didn't fine one, and later found out none were available despite emailing about one before my booking, and then again after booking (thanks for that). To make things worse we were given a pet friendly room, which stun, absolutely stunk, I have never stayed anywhere that has smelt worse! Also our room was next to the bar, and lights shine through our window at all hours of the night as their curtains were not solid. It wasn't all bad... The night staff and restaurant staff were all so friendly, and went above and beyond. I was ready to go home until a conversation with one of the night members- nothing important, just friendly small talk which I was yet to encounter at this hotel. Thank you. Complimentary espresso machine in the foyer was a nice surprise on a cold morning... Aside from the smell, the room was well kept and maintained by house keeping. The pool & waterslide are amazing for families. Our room had 2 televisions so my husband and I could have some space from each other after 3 weeks on the road together which was welcome. Foyer and far presented like a ski-resort and inside is tidy and well looked after. There were many warnings about staying inside after dark, but I encountered a few locals leaving the restaurant after dark who made small talk and were very friendly. A nice small town.

    5
    « Very Pleasantly Surprised »

Initially I thought it was bit too far out of town. But the atmosphere was amazing. Tucked nicely into the tree's, with patio's and decks here and there to help you relax and enjoy. The restaurant attached was really good, in service, food quality and price. I loved the fact there was complimentary coffee in the lobby, so we didn't have to fiddle with the little makers in the room, but they were there if needed. There was also a fresh water dispenser in the lobby. Something else that was nice although we didn't take advantage of it, was the small lounge c/w with big comfy chairs just off the back side of the lobby. Next time we'll utilize it. We did have one issue, in that, we booked 2, double queen rooms, and one of them was a king suite. Since we were for men traveling, one of us had to sleep on the pull out couch. I mentioned my displeasure, calmly, just noting we expected 4 beds, and no matter what anyone says, a pull out is not a real bed, nor does it feel like one. The front desk just us a reasonable discount for this fact, and I appreciated it. Overall, very nice, and would definitely stay again.

    5
    « Wow »

I stayed a lot of hotels in my life but this one really stands out. The hotel is like a resort. The staff are outstanding. Very polite, helpful and willing to answer any questions. The restaurant was very good. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. They have a pool, hot tub and water slide. We stayed in the Executive Suite which was huge. Very nice place to stay if your passing through or visiting Valemount BC.

    5
« Great friendly service and quiet room »

Carlos was exceptional when booking in, lounge staff quick and efficent. Hotel itself was very welcoming, the inside is very deceiving from the outside, it gave you the feeling of a winter cabin. We went for the hike around Cranberry Marsh, right behind the hotel and it was beautiful

    3
« Reasonable accommodataions for the price »

The hotel is clean and probably the largest hotels in the area. I have stayed here twice and each time I am glad I chose this hotel. The restaurant is good and has a good selection of food. Its located just outside of the downtown area and has plenty of parking.

    « Relaxing lodge-style accomodations »

The exterior doesn't look like much, but the lobby and guest rooms are really nicely appointed with lots of wood accents that make you feel like you are staying in a ski lodge. Check-in was quick and friendly. The rooms were clean and finished with comfortable beds and a good choices of pillows. The only odd thing is the walk past all the maid carts, spare cots and cribs left in the hallway as you go to the pool- shouldn't these be in a storage room somewhere else? The pool is good sized in a room with lots of windows. We had dinner in the lobby/lounge area, which I would really recommend. The waitress Jennifer was really helpful and made the dinner a pleasure, and the atmosphere is much nicer than eating the (same) food in the bland restaurant. Pasta was really good, and the pork schnitzel was okay - would have been better if it weren't overcooked and dried out. This is a great place to stay after a long drive.

    4
    « All good, almost »

As usual Best Western has the nicest room in Valemount, just have to shop for the nicest rate, delayed the trip by a day and got a much reduced rate. Internet still very slow, fitness centre was closed, and ran into my personal pet peeve at check in. To the otherwise friendly efficient helpful person checking me in, please do not encourage rude people that think they are somehow more important than the person that got to the head of the check in line first. If you stop checking me in and deal with them they will continue to think they are special, they are rude.

    3
    « Great Hotel-So So Service »

We love Best Westerns and will always choose to stay with them when we can. I booked with a travel site and got a great deal of $175 a night. I thought we had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances so I emailed the hotel and told them. Less than 24 hours later later our plans changed so I called to reinstate our booking and was told it had never been cancelled in the first place. When we checked in they told me the total was $250. I questioned the rate and she said it HAD been cancelled and reinstated and that was why. When I told her about the phone call and disputed the charge she took it down to $220. That was great but why couldn't you have just given that to me in the first place. Also her attitude and demeanour were very unapologetic and lackadaisical. Not great on the customer service side. We also asked her where the nearest liquor store was and she had no idea (it was five minutes away). That evening we decided to have supper at the hotel's restaurant, The Summit Grill. We stood waiting to be seated with four waitresses nearby for twenty minutes. They were chatting and doing some general housekeeping and didn't even acknowledge us. When we were finally seated we waited another fifteen minutes with no one coming to greet us. We ended up leaving and going to their Cranberry Lounge. The service at the lounge was great. Even though there was a solitary waitress working alone she was fast and friendly. I had a great caesar and a complimentary glass of wine (not very good). We both ordered the steak sandwich with caesar salad, fries and gravy. For $16 it was an amazing meal and we both really enjoyed it. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but our jacuzzi room was very nice with a balcony and great view. We also checked out a trail starting at the back and were extremely pleased and surprised when it led to a beautiful walk around Cranberry Marsh with stunning views. We had breakfast at Summit Grill again the next day and received the same slow greeting and service. The breakfast was expensive and the Eggs Benedict wasn't very good.

    5
    « Best breakfast »

Fresh ingredients , great service and comfortable seating . Best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The diced breakfast potatoes were home cut and delicious . The server was polite and was very efficient . It was a great start for a day of driving through B C .

« Rather loud at night »

The staff are very friendly and helpful. I found this hotel to be rather loud at night - rooms facing towards the town - which is 1-2 km away - may be quieter. My room only had one double-bed but there was only one of me. WLAN is free and unencrypted with a password, they claim to monitor usage in order to discourage streaming. We ate in the bar area and there was nothing wrong with that. Laundry facilities are available - they work well.

    5
    « Huge success »

Not sure why, but we picked this as a place we wanted to stay on our first vacation to the Canadian Rockies. It was a GREAT choice. The room fit our needs and then some. It almost felt like we were staying in someones home instead of a hotel. The onsite restaraunt served us several great meals. The pool and hot tub were wonderful.

    2
    « the small beds »

old hotel no renovations that are more than needed. dingy, I was told a queen bed they stretched the truth on that one it was a double and they would not adjust price saying it was a 'hotel queen'.overall we were not impressed especially for the big dollars they were chargong.

« Best Western Valemount, BC is the best! »

Spent two nights there on our way to and from Penticton, BC. Very clean rooms. Good food and service in the onsite restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a discount for seniors and if you are a member of CAA.

    3
    « 3 night stay »

Stayed for 3 nights. Room was ok. Clean. Ate in restaurant for evening meal twice - pot roast was fab! Service was a bit hit and miss though. Also had 2 breakfasts which were good. I really think breakfast should be included in room rate for price paid. A nice touch was complimentary coffee in lounge. Bar area was nice to sit in for a drink. Swimming pool was good and slide was very fast! Did not like lack of changing facilities though - just one room and front desk refused my request for robes stating they did not have enough for everyone and they were just for people in suites.

    3
« Very fast water slide »

If you have been on the road with your kids for several hours and need some rest, this hotel is an appropriate place for just that. There is a small pool with a very fast water slide which our kids really enjoyed. Hubby and I liked the walking trails (make sure to take your mossy repellent along). The room was okay, nothing special.

    « Great location »

This hotel is located next to a protected area with walking trails which is great for getting outdoors after a long trip. There is a comfortable lounge overlooking the forest and mountains. Staff is very friendly and competent. It was clean and well supplied. The Summit Restaurant serves great local craft beers and has a varied menu. including several vegetarian options. The quality of the food was inconsistent, ranging from yum to meh. The pool seemed popular.

« VERY GOOD HOTEL WITH ONE FLAW »

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is right off Highway 5 south of the main part of town. Parking was ample, and there is an attached restaurant with a good menu selection. The rooms are large, well appointed and have sufficient power outlets for device recharge. There is a microwave and fridge in the room. The hotel was very clean, as was the room. Bed was excellent The one problem was Internet, which was terrible. Even though we had a room right by the router, the signal was very poor and the actual service virtually non-existent. The location of the town may well have something to do with this, and if you are not staying here as a business traveller, it is unlikely to cause you grief. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

« Fabulous One Night Stop Stay »

We drove from Vancouver to Valemount and spent one night here. The jacuzzi suite was comfortable and on the quieter side of the hotel. We enjoyed dinner in their rustic themed lounge. Service was very good as was the pizza. We had breakfast in the Summit restaurant. The towels were not bad. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view.

« Great stop during a road trip! »

We stayed here as a stopping point on our way to Vancouver. Great short visit. We are a family of 4, the waterslide was a huge hit for the kids, very fast slide! Plus the nature trail beside the Inn was a nice walk, water fowl and a viewing point. Room was clean, breakfast/dinner were nice, great service. Overall an enjoyable stop.

« Great Hotel - Great for Traveling Families »

Not our first stay at this property and we love it. They have a room with 2 Queen and 1 Double bed which is perfect for our family of six (2 Adults and 4 kids!). Restaurant on site is excellent and great value. And when its a clear morning you can't beat the Valemount Mountain scenery. This hotel gets alot of use in the winter and some of the carpet was getting stretched, but overall room was clean and comfortable. Beds are great. We arrived quite late and were looking forward to the pool with the kids but we'll have to save it for next time.

« Great view from this hotel. »

We received the last room on our stop-over so took the remaining large 2 bedroom suite for just the 2 of us. The rugs were very clean and there was a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and free Wi-Fi. The fresh remote controls were a nice touch. The bed was great but the huge pillows were terrible for my liking. Be careful with the "free wine" coupon as it is only accepted in the lounge menu and not the regular restaurant where we sat down. The staff was friendly.

    3
    « Overpriced »

We booked this as a stopover on our way to Edmonton. With limited choices in the area, rooms sell out quickly and the fewer available when booking the more you are charged!!!&) (We stayed at another BW later on during ourg trip and paid a third of the price per night. The staff here were friendly and helpful at our late night check-in. Our beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not (way too puffy) and the floors were dirty with pieces of food/candy. No breakfast was included which was another strike for the outrageous price.

    4
    « Nice Stay! »

Hubby and I have stayed here several times. Always a pleasant stay. There is a 6k trail behind the hotel that is a must if you have the time. The staff are helpful. The rooms are clean. We get the jacuzzi room with the balcony....facing the back where the trail is.

    2
    « Poor Value »

Very expensive for what you get. Rooms were small and the bathrooms were even smaller. Internet was very slow and you need instruction to turn the TV on. Person who assisted said it happens frequently. No breakfast but there was a restaurant attached if you had time to waste waiting for food. The one good thing I can say is the staff was extremely friendly.

« The best Valemount has to offer »

I wasn't expecting a whole lot when I stayed in Valemount. This was purely a stop over on my way to Pemberton Music Festival, so we literally just needed somewhere to sleep to break up the long drive. Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites is just what you need and just what you would expect from a small, highway town. I actually really enjoyed the decor as soon as you walked in. It feels like you're in a classic log cabin in the middle of the woods. The rooms are simple, but again, it's all you need. I was not a fan at all of the fact that they don't have blackout curtains. There was a spotlight shining right in my room all night from the parking lot which made it hard to sleep. I do need to give their customer service a shoutout because I actually messed up my reservation and they squeezed us into one of their rooms even though they had been telling people who were walking in that they were booked up. That was amazing. Thanks for not making us sleep in our car Best Western Plus !

    « Expensive - No Breakfast »

One night stop over between Jasper and Kamloops, here is our experience... Good: Family suite has 2queen and 1 double configuration which better than pull out couch Challenges: Feels old, desk chair was broken, wifi in room was extremely slow and flakey (better in lobby), NO breakfast - we arrived at 10:15 and lobby bar was closed, only place to get food was an A&W Overall this is way too expensive at over $200 for the room and no breakfast...not recommended unless you must

    « Great highway hotel »

Great highway hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms are clean modern and comfortable. Lounge and restaurant very good reasonable prices and wide selection on menu. Complimentary coffee drinks 24 hrs. Good WiFi. Nice pool and waterslide. Would have expected continental breakfast to be included for the room price. ?

    4
    « Stop Over »

Found That prices have increased considerably in the last 2 years. No breakfast included for $200 room! Very nice lounge and eating area. Food was very good and area was bright and cheerful. Room was clean and easily accessible. Nice large café area even though we did not use it. Location is good except you must drive to the center of town. (Valemount, BC)

    3
    « ok but..... »

The rooms seemed out dated as far as the decor, the fitness room was under renovations, you would think that could be done in off season. I was disappointed that there was no complimentary breakfast as most do and not many other restaurants to go to so it is pretty costly.

    1
    « Terribly expensive »

Way too expensive! Price gowging at its best! Poor tourists that don't know any better. These prices are comparable to a high scale hotel in downtown Toronto not a small little community of approximately 2000 people with not many in town services. I chose not to stay at this hotel and will not stay ever due to these costs.

    « BC - Bring Cash »

This is a hotel that charges resort prices but is no where near a resort. Thank heavens I was really tired from a day of driving so that when I got into my room I pretty much went to sleep immediately. I did notice the banging (almost constant) in or on the wall but fell asleep. But at 6:30 in the morning I was awaken by it. But after having a shower and standing at the bathroom sink shaving, I realized the banging was from the plumbing inside the walls. Every time a tap was turned on/off the banging occurred. And obviously it wasn't just my taps that effected that result. I reported it to the front desk when I checked out and got an "oh sorry" but that was it. I inquired if that problem had never been reported previously and guess what the answer was. NO! I was not offered any kind of discount or free breakfast. Nothing. The carpet in the room has waves in it. They sure like to charge the crap out of you for being the newest hotel in the area but yet it is 10+ years old. Might want to put some of those profits back into the place.

    « Amazing dinner. »

We were travelling to Vancouver and decided to stop for dinner. We have stayed at the Best Western in Valemount BC and had breakfast and dinner many times. On this occasion something was extraordinarily different. The meal was top rate 5 stars. I had the chicken cordon, our sons had fish and chips and my wife had the soup of the day and wraps. All of the food is homemade, Great taste and presentation. It was extremely a great dinning experience in a small community such as Valemount. Very obvious that this is a chef and knows what they are doing. Service exceptional with seating us 20 mins before opening. I want to say that I have never given a 50% tip before. Well worth the stop and dinner. By the way we have a 5th wheel trailer and lots of turn around and parking.

    « Jasper Gondola »

Great stay, had all the amenities we wanted, fast checkin and checkout, great food in the restaurant and the view from the room was fantastic. Enjoyed the jacuzzi after a long drive. Quiet area no noise. WOW

    « Canadian road trip »

I stayed at the hotel for one night with my wife daughter and partner during our road trip around BC and Alberta. We found the hotel was outstanding in all aspects for the price we paid. We had a bar meal in the evening which was of a good standard and reasonably priced with a complimentary glass of wine of your choice.

« No value as a status holder. »

Do not feel any value as a diamond status holder of this hotel. Customer service is not up to par compared to other hotel chains that I've stayed in the past. Restroom is extremely small and no breakfast serve.

    « nice stay »

Hotel clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff and dog friendly makes it a huge plus in our books. Was a good stop after a longer drive from the coast and made the next day's drive to Jasper really easy.

« Great place to stay »

Stayed in a suite. Very clean and property is well maintained. The pool is great if you have kids. A bird sanctuary with a 5-6 km walking trail loop right behind the hotel. Great walk with raised viewing towers. Great walk but bring bug spray for the mosquitos. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Noisy A/C and dusty lamps »

The A/C in our room was so noisy it made it hard to sleep. It was also difficult to regulate the temp; we seemed to always be either too hot or too cold the whole night through. In addition, the maintenance in our room was not the best, as both the alarm clock and the bedside lamp were not working properly. When we checked in the clock was not plugged in, and when I plugged it in it was impossible to reset the alarm from the current setting of 3:45 am. So I unplugged it again and set the alarm on my phone instead. As for the lamp, it turned on OK but when I went to turn it off again, the switch was jammed in the "on" position, so all I could do was unplug it. In addition to this, both bedside lamps were so dusty that I could literally write my name in the dust. Although the rest of the room seemed fairly clean, it was a bit off putting to have such a dusty appliance so close to my head when I was sleeping, and my hubby felt the same way. The main area of the hotel (the lounge bar) was lovely to look at, and very clean, and the lady running the bar was both pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is not included in the price at this hotel, but the food served at breakfast in the restaurant is excellent, although expensive.

« Best Hotel in Valemount »

After a long day on the road, it was great to have a good night at this hotel. Pleasant staff and good comfortable clean rooms. An above average restaurant is a huge bonus. Would recommend this place to anyone who plans on staying in Valemount BC.

    « 45 Wedding Aniversary »

May 29th. - May 31st. 2016 - From the time we walked in to the time we checked out 4 days later we sat in our vehicle and wondered if we should extend our stay. We would have loved to have done that, but our G-K's would not have been happy with us going for so long. To all the Staff from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU! You know who you are, as we had some very nice compliments from you all, so here is back at you. No wonder your work place is humming, as not once did any of you pass without a smile and a greeting. When we checked in we knew right away that we had chosen well, as the Front Staff were so nice and helpful.......This is an extension to all of you from the Front to the Back of the Hotel. We will be seeing you gain in the near future, so Thank You all once again as you are Great!

    « Great Hotel »

We always stay at this hotel as a stopover whenever we make a trip from Alberta to the west coast or Okanagan areas of British Columbia. It is very clean with comfortable beds and has every amenity you could want. We enjoyed the free secure parking, free wifi and the Summit Restaurant. An elevator has now been installed. In the past this was the only thing that was missing.

    5
« Good hotel with friendly staff »

We stayed here for one night on our road trip. We were met by friendly staff on the reception. Its great that there is a lot of space to sit in the bar area and have a meal without having to go to the restaurant. The bar lady ( I think her name was Kyla ?) was brilliant. She is a credit to the hotel. Very attentive and friendly. The food was very good and we also enjoyed the pool, which was an added bonus.

    « Back Again this year !!! »

So worth staying at again this year... great price, awesome beds, friendly staff and a Restaurant as well... and Valemount is nestled in the Mountains ... so picturesque ... so beautiful.. They also have trails (which we did not go on yet) but everything you need ... :)

    « Beautiful »

This place was awesome...well we certainly thought it was. We asked for a ground floor room close to the pool cause our 3 yr old loves swimming, and it was great the pool was warm and slide was fun. Nice rooms would definitely stay here again Only thing to complain about is that the front desk staff kind of talked down to us making sure I new how much the rooms were before they would even tell me if rooms were available after driving 10 hours I am sure we were a little worse for the wear and just wanted to get to our room and shower.....but other than that it was an excellent stay

    « Bestwesten Valmounte BC »

The hotel is a gem, situated between the mountains. We were travelling from Kitimat to Vancouver and booked this hotel by chance as it was half-way.. A must stay for anyone should you be in the area. There is no breakfast provided but the room cost more than adequately makes up for this.

« Great hotel in Canada »

Stayed here for 2 nights while on our way to Price Georges. Hotel staff are very friendly, lovely rooms, small pool with jacuzzi & waterslide. The views are breathtaking, however there is little to do in the evenings and the hotel bar & restaurant shut at 21.00hrs. We were told it's very popular in the winter months with snowboarding and skiing.

    « Beautiful »

Nice Comfortable, and relaxed atmosphere. Great food, loved the caesars in the lounge. Really liked that there was bike parking in a space not really used, and close to the door and I felt my bike was secure and in a well lit area.

    « No Complimentary Breakfast »

Got a very nice queen suite, but unfortunately was next to the kitchen/dining room and was very noisy from opening at 6 am to closing... no sleep after that. This hotel does NOT offer the complimentary breakfast that every other Best Western that I have stayed at does and I have stayed at MANY!!

« Would Definitely Stay Again »

My 3 year old son and I stayed at this hotel last summer for a night when driving from Edmonton to Vancouver and I have nothing but good things to say about it. We received one of the last rooms available and when I explained that the price was a little over my budget for the room (the hotel we had previously booked to stay that night didn't work out so I was scrambling), she adjusted the price for me no questions asked. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We got room service for dinner since it was late and little man was winding down for the night and the food was delicious and came to our room hot. Service the next morning at the restaurant was quick and efficient and again, excellent food. The pool wasn't busy even though it was summer time and the hotel was fully booked and my son enjoyed the slide. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel and it'll be my new go-to place when travelling back to BC.

    5
    « A real gem »

Pool, restaurant, walking trails, lounge and a cute gift shop - I wish we could have stayed longer! We had a room with 3 beds for a family of 5 (3 teenagers), and still had plenty of room. The food was excellent and we loved the atmosphere in the lounge.

« These folks did their homework... »

Visited May 22. Let me start with the parking lot. I don't recall the last place I visited so well designed for every type of vehicle both in and out. The staff were very pleasant, efficient and accommodating. Inspite of a bus tour that just arrived, the check in was smooth and quick. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy to navigate around the place too. A lounge/pub just off the main lobby had both regular fare and bigger meals too. Good selection. There were two beers on tap brewed locally and both very good. Food and beers were reasonably priced. Just outside there was an area for a picnic I watched which was used (enjoyed) by a family. Only thing that was amiss of the entire visit was the shower took a couple minutes to get up in temp for a Luke warm shower. Otherwise I would recommend this location in a heartbeat.

    4
    « Great Value »

We were given one of their suites at the price of a standard room. We were pleasantly surprised to see that we had a separate living room area which included a Keurig coffee maker with 4 complimentary coffees, microwave, mini fridge, toaster, kettle, dishes and sink with all the necessary linens.

    4
    « Nice place »

Stayed here last night while travelling. A fairly new hotel and one of the nicest I've seen in this chain. Rustic interior in keeping with its surroundings. Lounge and restaurant more than adequate. The place is clean and the rooms nice and spacious. Friendly staff. Pool with slide and hot tub for those with some energy left at the end of the day. Certainly no complaints from me.

    « April Wedding »

We had our wedding here on April 23rd 2016. The hotel staff were so very kind and helpful! The rooms were great and the reception hall was perfect! The food for the reception was amazing!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! They even offered to take our dogs out for walks while we were busy with the wedding. AMAZING! Thank you so much!

    « Great position »

Really nice hotel with lovely walks close by. The vaulted ceiling lounge with log fire is just gorgeous and is a comfortable place to have drinks and eat something. I felt the rooms were rather dated and not very clean. My Brother found a dirty sock under a chair in his room and in my bathroom the toilet had not been cleaned properly. Not to go into detail but there was evidence of previous guests around the toilet seat. The pool was very good and the water slide was amazing. I would go again but would check my room before accepting it.

    5
    « Nice, April 2016 »

« Hidden Gem Halfway to Vancouver »

If you can't handle a non-stop marathon to the coast from Alberta, this is a wonderful place to find comfortable rooms and beds, beautiful gardens, trails and places to dine outdoors, friendly staff and great food, all at reasonable places. Go for the jacuzzi rooms, especially if it's winter; and ask for a room facing the outdoor park and trails for more privacy. Dogs are welcome though you won't be entitled to a king size bed in their ground floor rooms. The lounge and huge stone fireplace is a great place to relax while admiring mountain views. The restaurant menu is good though the wine list definitely needs upgrading. Try their pasta Primavera and Brie-Cranberry appetizer. You just might want to stay longer in this well run, friendly place.

« Perfect Stay, Very Pleasant Staff. Motorcycle Friendly »

One night stay while passing through Valemount on my motorcycle. Cheapest room was actually a suite which was more than ample. Lots of amenities in the room. The room, lobby, restaurant, lounge etc. was clean, clean, clean. M/C parking right at the front entrance and supply of rags provided to clean off the bugs! Lounge is very roomy and waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Restaurant was not busy but the meal and service by the wait staff was very good (same with breakfast in the morning). Really enjoyed conversations with Ron the shuttle driver (not to mention all the other hats he seems to wear there). Check-in and out was good. All staff seemed to be genuinely interested in ensuring customer comfort.

« Best Kept Secret Between Jasper and Kamloops »

Located just outside of Valemount, BC is this log cabin style hotel. It has a variety of rooms and a friendly staff. The lounge in the lobby has huge windows that overlook the forest in front of a bird sanctuary with walking trails. A huge central fireplace that is kept stoked all night long adds a friendly air, that can be doubly enjoyed while sipping a beer from the local brewery (3Ranges, I think). One of the very best features is the restaurant. Well worth a stop even if you are not spending the night. I don't know who the chef is, but the nightly feature is always scrumptious and presented beautifully. Selections from the menu don't disappoint either.

    5
« Perfect stop between Alberta and the BC coast »

« Phone them for more room options »

Booking this hotel online provided limited room configuration types. We made a one night reservation online and it gave us the "Jacuzzi Suite". Though not an ideal room configuration, jacuzzi suites I think have a limited clientele that prefer them, the room was spacious and provided a great coat rack. We needed a single night later in the week and in talking with the front desk found they have a number of other room configurations that aren't online which are better suited to families and groups. They have three-bed rooms and a "kids suite" which provides one queen in a separate room, with 2 queens in the main room. The price for these other rooms were fractionally higher (12-20) than the jacuzzi suite. The 3-bed rooms have more space as there is no separating wall but we chose the kids suite for a little extra division (plus it has a second TV for kids). Hotel is generally clean and well run. The pool is great, though the hot tub could be cleaned more frequently. The restaurant seemed very busy, a little understaffed and slower. There are not many alternate options in town so plan to just relax for a meal. Food was good. Wifi internet is very slow and there is no cell service* in Valemount. *some carriers may give you extended cell coverage but our plan didn't give it to us. TVs have satellite service so there is a good selection to watch. An automatic coffee machine in the lobby lounge provides complimentary coffees and hot chocolates. The small store has some excellent lotions and sells Yankee Candles. Vending machines have some snacks.

    « Best in town. »

This hotel stand out from the competition in many ways, from the location to the main lounge, the friendly service at all times and the quality of the rooms and the beds. Staff are knowledgable, friendly and offer great service.

    « Nice and clean »

Here on business and always stay here. Rooms are nice and clean. Sledders are in abundance here. A bit noisy but quiet now. Ask for a room upstairs which is quieter. Food at the summit grill is not bad. Complimentary coffee or hot chocolate downstairs.

« Best Hotel in Valemount »

I had the chance to stay here one night on business. I was so pleasantly surprised, even for other Best Western properties, at the level of quality and amenities. The staff were great, from the desk clerk to the restaurant staff and even the room cleaners. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will stay here again. I may even come here for a pleasure trip and would not even check the other hotels in town.

    « Enjoyable stay »

My husband and I, along with our 4 young children stayed at the Best Western plus for one night on our way through to Kamloops. The hotel seems to be under a bit of a renovation, but it didn't affect the comfort of our stay in the least, the hotel is well kept, clean and for the most part- the staff are all very friendly. We stayed in a 3 queen room, and it's just that, a very basic room with 3 queen beds :). Nothing fancy or special about it at all, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant is nicely decorated, the food is okay, nothing to write home about, but not awful by any means. My husband and kids enjoyed the pool with water slide, they commented on how they liked how warm the pool was. In the morning after we checked out, we enjoyed the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in their beautiful sitting area in the foyer. The hotel does a lot to be environmentally friendly, and even offers free electric car parking, good on them! Will stay again, probably best hotel in Valemount, seemed very popular place for sledders and mountain skiers. Nice place! Thanks

    « Snowmobiler's Paradise »

The Best Western is well suited to accommodate snowmobilers visiting the Valemount area. The way the facilities are set up is great. The restaurant opens early; the lounge has comfortable couches for resting weary bones, and there's a hot tub to soak in. Add extra touches such as parking set up for trailers, an accommodating staff and even a drying rack for wet gloves and gear, and you have a winning combination.

    « Hockey tournament »

Our children's hockey team stayed there this last weekend. The hotel was very nice, very clean. Staff was friendly. Pool was nice and warm. Very clean. Nice little shop. Beautiful views. The reaturanunt was great service and great food. A little expensive but worth it. Only down fall was the elevator was being repaired which didn't matter anyways as there is only two floors and we stayed on the 1st.

    2
    « Disappointing.... »

We have stayed at this hotel many times, and whenever we are in the area it is our go to place. The new leather sofa beds in the suites are great, a much needed update as the old ones were very uncomfortable and worn out. The pool area was clean, although on the second day we notice a bunch of tiles from the hot tub were pulled off and thrown into the pool. The check in time is crazy, 5:30 pm is far too late when you consider the fact that many visitors travel long distances to get here and do not want to wait in the lobby or car until a room is ready. And once again they have upped the 'security fee' for a 2 night stay we were charged $400. The room rate was $124. Why one earth am I putting more down for the security fee then I am paying for the room? I am not sure what they think a family of 3 will do to the room, but I can guarantee we have no plans on wrecking the place. And why is it always changing? Should it not be a set rate? I am well aware that the hold is just that, a hold, but I think a hold should not be more then the total cost of the stay.

    5
    « Awesome experience! »

We hadn't made a reservation for this hotel and stopped in in hopes of being able to get a room. We were looking for a room for three males and had resigned ourselves to two of us probably having to share a bed(!!!) since usually a room has a maximum of two queen size beds. We were pleasantly surprised when we were provided with a HUGE room with three queen size beds. The rate we were given was phenomenal! The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel was clean. We had dinner in the restaurant on-site and were most impressed with the food. We've found it can be hit or miss with on-site restaurants but this place was definitely a winner. We were told they had just revamped their menu... they've hit a homerun with their offerings!

    « Night Stay »

We stayed at this Best Western Plus before and recalled how nice it was and how friendly the staff were. Since the highway was very icy from Edmonton to Valemont we decided to stay and relax for the night. As usual it is a very nice place to stay.

« Great Place to stay »

WE travel back & forth to Edmonton lots because our kids live in Edmonton. Just about every trip we stop half way and stay at Valemount Best Western. The hotel is all great. Food & restaurant are good. We as know what to expect. All in all the place in great. It is definitely a go to spot for us a couple of times a year.

    « Good »

This hotel has the best beds. For the same money as other hotels in town you get a clean room, comfy beds and great service. The pool was warm and the kids loved the slide. Restaurant is pricey though.

    3
    « == reasonably good for $130/night == »

Everything was average to decent in this hotel, with very helpful people, who lugged all our baggage to the second floor. They are installing an elevator . . . Mediocre food (pizza and overcooked steak) in the dining room with friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast for $12. Many guests were 'sledders' who crammed the parking lot full. Around the very pleasant fireplace in the lobby, the stories got better as the evening went on. The hotel accommodates pets for a reasonable fee. We will stay here again but eat dinner elsewhere.

    2
« Love love it here. All the staff are great but one grump. »

My husband and I stay here around ten to twenty times a year. We haven't returned since our last visit. We do a fair bit of sledding with and without kids. The pool hot tub are great and restaurant and lounge are awesome. We usually convince friends to come stay here with us. Four to eight people not including us. On our last visit though it was just the husband and I. We had friends staying in the area and wanted to go for drinks with them. We went to go call a cab but the ladies at the front desk said no use the shuttle. This older fella comes out and starts belly aching that he doesn't want to go that direction could be too far which is fine. We said we will take the cab. The ladies kinda push him and he desides to take us. Boy I really wish he hadn't. He whined and complains the whole way to the van. All the way down the road. Also, states there is no way he will pick us up later. Turns around just a minute from the place and says he's gone as far as he wants to go. Whines and complains all the way back. You know he just really has a crappy attitude. Obviously hates driving. I get that he enjoys taking people's luggage and stocking the fire. And chit chatting with the ladies. But, when you drive someone who is holidaying and out for a good time. The last thing you need is a grumpy old man complaining all the time. I don't think we will return. Maybe if we have no choice. Just not really interest in being brought down in my happy time out with my hubby. He is always gonna be at the hotel. So, if you do go. I'd say avoid him and don't go to town. If you do just get the cab.

    « Very good accomodation »

This hotel is very well maintained and offers a very comfortable and enjoyable service. Previous experiences found better menu and food preparation for dinner service. Breakfast was satisfactory. The parking lot while limited for sledders with trucks and trailers offers the security and power service features which is very much appreciated. Hotel staff are very accommodating with many long term team members

    « Good Experience »

Stayed overnight after a long day drive from Victoria. Torrential downpour from Kamloops in the dark. Tired and worn out. Surprised how nice it was when we drove up, even better when we got inside. Nice rooms, good service in the dining room and everyone was friendly. Surpassed my expectations. Woke up in the morning and the rain had turned to white stuff, what a beautiful sight.

    « Poor Service »

The service in the lounge and restaurant was very poor took very long time to get anything or they forgot to bring it. All staff didn't want to be there it felt. One staff member was sitting at the lounge having drinks with a guest did not seem very respectful

    « Fabulous Staff »

I spend quite a few night a year in hotels, but the staff at the Best Western in Valemount, BC went way beyond what you normally expect or get. From the time I arrived till the time I left the helped me without even being asked.

We had a good stay, enjoyed the jacuzzi. They brought an extension cord so we could use a medical devise. Room was great, food was good as usual. the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

« We used this as a stop over night on our travels to Vancouver. »

Everything was very good as we had booked last minute. The folks at the front counter were very friendly. The room was clean and everything was in order when we arrived. We had two meals (supper & Breakfast) while we were their and both were very good, and the service was great. Their was some construction in the main Lobby to install a much needed elevator. This small inconvenience now will pay huge dividends in a short period of time. We will stay here again. Good work folks. G & V Cariou, St. Albert

    « A very Disappointing Stay »

This hotel was very disappointing. We were two senior couples traveling in BC. We had booked, via TripAdvisor, two 1 bed queen suites. We were given two family suites. These had three beds in each room with no chairs (no room for chairs). The rooms may have been good value for a family of six, but for seniors wishing to relax after a day in a car they were not suitable, AND NOT WHAT WE HAD BOOKED. The management said they were fully booked and could not offer any alternative rooms. We were forced to accept. The rooms were on the first floor and we had to carry cases up stairs with a very dirty carpet. We were told they were in the process of adding an elevator. The carpet was not cleaned by the time we left the hotel the next day as we brought our case down the same stairs. Our friend also found the carpet dirty behind her bedside table when she pulled it out to find the socket. We were happy that we were only staying for one night.

« Sight seeing with overseas guests. »

The hotel itself was excellent but the restaurant was below the normal standards for a Best Western Hotel. I would stay there again but eat elsewhere. There was a highly recommended restaurant in Valemount that I would try next time.

« Great place to stay with a large family »

I stayed here with my husband, 3 kids and nanny. We got a room with three queen size beds! It was quiet, clean and modern. The pool was clean and featured a water slide. The only draw back is they did not include breakfast.

    « Unexpected »

We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Valemount and then once we arrived at the hotel it was wonderful. We were exhausted from a long day of travel and we weren't sure what the hotel offered so we arrived with cold takeout. To our great surprice they put us in a suite for no extra charge, it had a kitchenette and a separate bedroom. Our cold takeout was warmed up and served on real dishes. We found out the hotel had a restaurant and a bit of a lounge, if we weren't so exhausted we would have taken advantage of these things. The staff were all really nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a comfortable night's sleep. If we get the chance we will diffidently be back.

« A nice surprise to find such a nice hotel »

A very picturesque setting! Looking out our window looked more like a park than hotel grounds. Modern clean facility, nicely decorated. The food, the service, and the prices in the restaurant were great.

    « Great Place »

Valemount BW is a great place to stay. We have stayed here before on our way from South Surrey to Spruce Grove. We used to stop at Blue River, but the price and accommodation were less than what we wanted, so it is well worth the extra time to stop at BW Valemount. Even though it is right beside the highway it is extremely quiet.

    « A room with a view in Valemount »

A nice place to stay . The Rooms and beds were good and it was quiet. We found the attached restaurant to be a satisfying stop for dinner. There was a expresso/coffee machine in the lobby which was an added touch. The lobby lounge was large and welcoming. Breakfast was not included. However, we encountered our first and only non-friendly clerk in a year (rude was too strong a word) and the place did not have an elevator so we must knock off a point.

« Wonderful place to stay! »

Very good all round. My husband and I stayed here on a saturday night. We had our two small pets with us as we were in the process of moving from Edmonton to Vancouver ,and Valemount was a good stop off point. Devon who checked us in upon arrival was very pleasant and welcoming. The hotel room was clean, comfortable with everything we needed, spacious, excellent quality beds and pillows. The next morning we had a tasty eggs benedict, and bacon and eggs breakfast with homemade country style potatoes in the connecting restaurant .Many thanks to Lisa ,our lovely waitress. It was quite busy ,so be prepared to wait ,but its worth going there and the food is good value. The cheerful and hardworking housekeepers said good morning to me as I walked along the hallway to the pool. The pool was very warm ,with a hot tub and a nice garden view to look at through the windows. Meona at the front desk lent me a hotel umbrella as it was raining a bit for a morning walk. Just go round to the back of the property, follow the walking forest path and within 5 mins you'll arrive at Cranberry Marsh,an amazing duck sanctuary full of reeds ,trees, swamp land ,geese,a small river and mountain views. Highly recommended.

« Good Hotel on the Yellowhead »

This hotel is just what I expected of a BW+ property - that being it was clean, quiet and the service was very good. The only disappointment was that there is no continental breakfast because there is a restaurant attached.

    « great atmosphere »

loved the mountain feeling here...beautiful setting! The lobby lounge has a cozy wood burning fireplace, large windows and the bar is made of large timbers. We had a pet friendly room on the lower floor..nice, however noisy in the morning...why do ppl let their kids be noisy? We don't all get up early, keep your little ones quiet pls. Plus feature is great nearby trail around a duck santuary..enjoyed this! This is a highly recommended hotel with a restaurant. Will return..service great all around.
